Remote mansion with a diverse collection, including Rodin sculptures & Native American artifacts.
What a beautiful place to visit! The art and all of the history there is so interesting. Very clean, and quiet. Over all just a great experience.
Alexandra W — Google review
Beautifully set up. Art, painting, dolls, so much. My interest is indigenous of the USA, my own heritage. So much to see and the museum had so much respect. I was quite proud. .ost impressed by the bead work, holy cow, wish I had the patience and spiritual stamina. The chess collection is awesome
Donna A — Google review
This is a destination museum in a breathtaking setting. The collection seems to be personal and varied, but that gives it a unique personality. The setting gives you room both physically and intellectually to give you a chance to examine and enjoy each collection in a way quite different than if it was in a metropolitan museum. Taking time outside between galleries allows you to go freshly into a new experience.
Jean W — Google review
This is a great museum and has many different things to see. The different exhibits are interesting and eclectic. Definitely worth the visit.
Peter S — Google review
2 Rodin rooms. 2 rooms of Post-war Parisian fashion designer miniatures. 1 large indigenous artifact room. Location is stunning.
David N — Google review
I wasn’t expecting how large the art museum was. There is a lot of art to look at, not just the chess sets. There is also a cafe but we didn’t try it when we were there. The staff were also super friendly. It’s worth the trip.
Belle W — Google review
Well worth the money. Tickets can be bought on line and are good for several months. Find out who was Sam Hill
Carol G — Google review
Amazing little museum in the middle of nowhere with some great pieces. The Rodins, Theatre de la Mode and Native American pieces were especially impressive. Spectacular views of the gorge too.

My family had a wonderful time enjoying the breathtaking scenery! I can only imagine how much better it is in the summertime. The atmosphere is lovely, but we found the service a little lacking. I also wish there were more heaters on the patio so everyone could fully enjoy the view. Overall, we can’t wait to return and highly recommend making the stop in!
Cassie M — Google review
For myself, and my friend we were not big fans of the wine tasting. Only because the wine was more on the sweeter side. The patio is however very lovely and was nice even on a warm windy day. I actually was glad to be able to try wine and not have to hear someone tell me about what mountainside they got it on. I was able to converse with my friend while sipping wine and looking at that gorgeous view. The only other drawback for me was the decimal of the rap music they were playing. I'm giving this place 2 stars mainly for location.
Kristi K — Google review
I don't know which I like better - the wine or the view! Thankfully when you visit you don't have to choose, you get both. The wines are really good. The tasting bar is beautiful and has plenty of space for many tasters at once. The servers are always friendly and attentive even though they are juggling many customers - the place always seems pretty busy! I always enjoy the tasting, but what really makes the visit superb is buying a glass to enjoy on the patio. The views are incredible! This trip was unique for us as there was a layer of snow amid the vines and snow on the hillsides around the Columbia - just amazing. I had a limit of one bottle per winery stop during this trip as we were travelling in our Truck Camper and we have to be aware of the vehicle weight.... and then oops.... we bought 2 cases, where is that going to go? We will visit again soon!
Dawn W — Google review
The first face we saw was very friendly. She greeted us with a warm friendly welcome. Unfortunately, she was off shift, leaving and it went down hill from there. We had to go seek service inside as we wanted to be seated outside. Finally got acknowledged. We ordered a taste of wine flights. The wine was good but here's the thing, we go wine tasting a lot. We're wine members at some nice wineries and Maryhill in Goldendale is as good but certainly not better. I think 60.00 dollars for a bottle of a blend is a little much. Nice atmosphere, beautiful setting however, it looks like birds may own this winery instead of people. There were bird droppings everywhere outside, on the floor, on the steps, on the railings. I'd suggest sitting inside if you visit. Overall, good but not great. Possibly a tad overrated, overpriced.
Mon L — Google review
Great winery. Great wine, food and view. Very friendly service. Worth the trip.
Dennis M — Google review
Amazing, dramatic setting! Good service and wine. We had the Caesar salad, which was actually pretty good with a house made extra garlicky dressing. The “forest mushroom” pizza was a disappointment, however, as there were virtually no mushrooms on it. Basically more of a flat bread with a lot of roasted garlic.
Beau H — Google review
Have been a regular visitor here for many years. Today's visit very disappointing. After 15 minutes of waiting, we finally ordered our own wine inside. Another 15 minutes and we had to track down a server for our food order. The server first took the order from an adjacent table who arrived well after we did. Yes, they were busy, but there are about 20 tables and 3 servers. No excuse for a 30 minute wait for service. It will be a long while before we head that way again.
Gary H — Google review
One of the best pizzas we have had. The spinach dip was delicious! Beautiful views and very friendly staff! Wine was amazing as well - as expected!!! Thank you for a wonderful and memorable experience!!

Nature & Parks
Park
99-acre riverfront park with nice views, 70 campsites, 2 boat launches & an historic art museum.
The place is awesome. We were there for 2 nights. The tent area can get pretty hot as there is not much tree shade. On a cloudy day it's amazing. There is No running water for drinking and cooking near the camp ground. But the ranger and care takers are super nice, willing to help out of their way as well. We visited Marry hill park on the other side of the river for water access as Day Use and that turned out to be the best thing. Will definitely come again.
Vikas S — Google review
Maryhill State Park is a beautiful park at the beginning of the Columbia River Gorge. We enjoyed it very much and plan on many more visits. The campsites are very good and level with good markings and are not stacked on top of each other like in private parks. There are lots of places to walk and enjoy the gorgeous views. The check-in staff were friendly, but it would have been nice to have been given a map of the campground and park for exploring. There were many warning signs about an unleashed dog emphasis with fines if you were found to have an unleashed dog. We've never seen anything like that in a Washington State Park before and it was a bit off-putting. We were seemingly scrutinized by a park ranger who stopped his truck about 50 yards ahead on a cross street and saw our dog circling my wife and I about 6 feet from us while my wife took a photo. At any rate there are large grassy areas for kids (and should be for dogs who behave, too) to play and relax. Be advised there is an active rail line right next to the park and trains rumble through day and night. There were no train horns, and it didn't bother us, but some light sleepers might not like the rumble of the trains. There are some fabulous wineries nearby and the Stonehenge World War I memorial is nearby with gorgeous views of the Columbia River Gorge. In all we will definitely be returning to this beautiful park to camp again.
Brian C — Google review
Beautiful park on the Columbia River. Super lush and well kept grounds. Had a nice swim area and a small beach to walk our dogs. Bugs were not too bad and park was fairly quiet. There is a highway on both sides and train tracks behind but it didn't bother us at all. It is now on our list of Favorite Wa State Parks.
JULIE V — Google review
I absolutely adored this spot alongside the river. I went here a few weeks ago when the weather was at its peak, around 90 degrees f. It was definitely a far drive but honestly so worth it. I would recommend being careful on the sandy part because it’s more rocky and the sand personally felt like it was going to burn off my feet haha. It is super nice and spread out and everyone was spread out as well so no one was bothering anyone else. Also the view was literally perfect and super calm. Perfect spot to go to so that you can get away from the city, not that many people for a weekend so it was absolutely perfect! 10/10 state park, literally perfect for tanning and swimming alike.
Ava — Google review
Stopped in for one night. Busy camp ground with trains running by all night. Nice spot for the kids to swim. Fishing is good. Spots are very close, like hard to tell where each spot begins and ends. $56 FHU for one night.
Kim B — Google review
My family has spent countless hours here. This park is ALWAYS clean. Bathrooms are tip top. They offer showers for the public. Tiny fee of course. We are homesteaders so THIS is the perfect stop on the way home. The land itself has amazing energy. I just can't say enough nice things. I will post more pics!

Nice clean park with a good swim area for day use. Lots of parking. Next to a couple fruit stands, Peach Beach Rv park, boat launch, picnic tables and bathroom.

Museums
Observatories & Planetariums
Goldendale Observatory State Park is a magical place in Klickitat, housing an enormous telescope built by amateur astronomers from Vancouver, Washington. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and offers engaging sessions on various space-related topics. Visitors can enjoy live views of the sun and detailed Q&A sessions. The ranger-led tours provide opportunities to see Saturn, Jupiter, nebulas, constellations, galaxies, and even passing space stations.
This hidden gem is a labor of love for the people that keep it running in today's political climate, and the night program led by a Yale professor turned park ranger is a world-class astronomy lecture. This is the first experience in a long time to fill me with awe in the full sense of the work. This is without a doubt worth driving a few hours and getting a motel to see.
David G — Google review
This was a stellar experience, from the check into the night program. The park administrator Troy and his team of intrepid space explores are absolutely awesome. Great show, great stars and great program. As the website and literature all recommend, be sure to bring some warm clothes, it gets cool quickly after the sun sets!
Michael M — Google review
REALLY cool solar and nighttime programs! It was colder than I was expecting during the night show, but I saw more stars than I have ever seen, and learned some cool facts! The staff is tiny, but they're all fantastic and the facility is clean, modern, and pleasant. Definitely worth a visit (and a donation!!) 😉
Lily L — Google review
I’ve been to both the solar and the night programs and they are both amazing! We saw sun spots, the international space station, and many different constellations! Make sure you reserve your spot in advance on their website and leave a good donation!!
Treva W — Google review
We had very good time at the observatory. Staff is very energetic and knowledgeable. They are genuinely putting a lot of efforts for us to have great experience. Really appreciate their efforts and extra late night hours.
Sameer K — Google review
A National treasure in my opinion. The staff are fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and interactive with the group. I did both the day and night events and they were both amazing -and not redundant.
Ryan Y — Google review
This is a fee/pass area. To attend the day or evening programs, you need reservations. This is a way kool place. I’ve attended the day program in the past. I’m here today (7/25) to attend the evening program. This is one of the few places where people can look thru a telescope with an eyepiece. There was a slight crescent moon. The facility director Troy Carpenter, and the two park aides, Vivian and Rowan did an awesome job. They had two telescopes for us to view from. I found the evening program to be educational, informative, entertaining and lots of fun. We spent time on the telescopes and then we had a classroom session with Q & A. Troy used a laser pointer to call-out the brightest stars in the sky, the Milky Way, a couple of constellations and the International Space Station (ISS) that passed over from the west to east and then disappeared! I viewed from the telescope: 2 double stars, the middle of the Milky Way and much more. To think you are looking back in time (up to 100 million light years away). I could also see space junk and meteors. If you are in the area this is worth the visit. See you on the trail.

This place is great and well maintained. Make sure to set up an appointment for viewings and have your Discover Pass as well. Drive slow and watch out for deer.

My sister and I visited Goldendale Golf Club for a paint and sip event, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The manager was exceptional, even going the extra mile by ordering pizza for us. Yaymaker provided excellent guidance on painting. Amy Wilson, the golf pro, deserves praise for her expertise. The staff and facilities at Goldendale Golf Club are accommodating, making it an ideal choice for a small-town course.

Three doesn't seem fair, but the comparison is against all courses not just 9 hole country tracks. The course punches well above its weight. Lots of nostalgia and great service. They even had all the HS State Placers on the wall. I will go back. You should play it if given the chance.

If you're looking for a delightful dining experience, Sodbusters is definitely worth a visit! This charming spot offers an array of American comfort food that hits the spot after a long day on the road. The Mt. Adams burger, topped with a perfectly fried egg, is simply divine, while their hearty potato soup has garnered rave reviews from patrons. The portions are generous and well-prepared, ensuring you leave satisfied.
The food was great! I had the Mt. Adams burger. It was awesome with a fried egg on top. My wife had a bowl of delicious potato soup. The portions were good sized and very well prepared. The service was fast and friendly. The music was upbeat and had a good country vibe. We needed that after a long trip on the road that started early in the morning. I really recommend stopping here even though this was our first time. I know we will stop again.
Jim W — Google review
I haven't been to a diner or American restaurant in decades. It was quite an experience seeing a menu of maybe 50 foods directly from Sysco's institutional food product line. We weren't particularly hungry so we ordered two appetizers: mac & cheese bites and onion rings. We ate with amusement. The mac and cheese bites are Kraft mac and cheese, battered, and deep-fried. The onion rings are typical. Also the coconut cream pie appears to be a direct Sysco product being perhaps Dream Whip and coconut flakes. The facilities are well-kept and oversized; the service was was friendly and efficient enough but at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night we had the place almost to ourselves. None of the employees knew why the restaurant is named Sodbusters.
Wally K — Google review
Pretty good food. Service was so-so. All-in-all a nice place to have a late breakfast.
Teri W — Google review
Waited for 15 minutes to get waited on, waited for a half hour to get served the wrong food. TWICE! Server kept coming back and forth to ask questions like what kind of bread do you want, what kind of gravy do you want? Things that should have been asked when order was taken. One of four lunches came after everyone else was finished. Everyone else around us that came in after us got served, ate, and left before we got our food. Food was frozen foods. Burgers are worse than McDonalds. People were walking out because no one came to take their order. Really? It wasn't that busy. I really don't understand where any of those higher star ratings come from. Maybe fake ratings? Drive 5 more minutes and get real food and at least a little bit of service.
Pam P — Google review
Good burgers (the luau!) but was less than impressed with breakfast. Asked for over medium eggs and they were barely over easy. The hashbrowns really could have used some seasoning as well as the chicken fried steak (also needed more tenderizing). BUT the burgers are always good =)

Great stop for food, just off the highway. Lots of variety on the menu, quick service and friendly staff. We were there for breakfast, which was tasty and good value. The hashbrowns were yummy!

Not a great experience. We had issues ordering and with their forgetfulness. They said they were out of biscuits and gravy, "for a long time this morning", though they had oddly just served the table next to us and then brought out two orders of it to two different tables while we were there eating. She did offer to bring our daughter sliced bananas to make up for it. Then forgot to bring us our orange juice and our daughters milk. Brought the milk in a glass saying she thought it was for me, took it back to the kitchen and brought it back out in a plastic cup with a straw. The food was okay, we ordered the mini pancakes and the steak and eggs. It wasn't that the service wasn't nice it was just odd and off.

Heading home, I googled for a midway point and found TOWN HOUSE CAFE. The ariel view showed they have long rig parking spaces in their back lot, so we parked our 36' 5th wheel and truck (50' total). I had a reuben and hubby had a patty melt, both with fries. OMG! Both of our sandwiches were TWO, fresh, 1-1/4" thick marbled dark rye bread! We both had to take one home, along with fries! Service was fast, sandwiches were really hot as just grilled. The waitress was as sweet as could be. Refilled my ice tea at perfect timing. Clean, pleasant. AND, you can have breakfast ALL DAY, if you want. Definitely, another midway stop for us!

We were very impressed with the fast friendly service and great tasting breakfast. Real home style cooking, no salty taste, clean, refreshing, with reasonable pricing. Area farmers having morning coffee, discussing the upcoming days activities. Unique table furniture styles, home atmosphere with fireplace. I wished this cafe were closer to home.

We were heading North from California and stopped. I didn't think they'd be able to accommodate us with a bulldog, chihuahua, 2 year old and 3 adults. They bent over backwards for us! Jessica is 100 percent an absolutely unacceptable bartender. Not only does she have an attitude, but she quite literally took the beer out of my husband‘s mouth when we were outside smoking. She was very aggressive and disheartening. When I asked her what her name was or role she played in this company, she specified that she is the head bartender and she can kick anybody out or lecture anybody she wants to. It’s so crazy, because how could a Head bartender say things like “get out of here” and “you’re not welcome anyways” This girl is really hurting This business, they have the best food in town, the best clam chowder, the best customer service in my experience, except for this time. I really try to be understanding as I am house cleaner, but this girl is vicious, annoying, and a liar. I hope we choose to replace her in the future. This place could be so much better without her.

Best Burger in the Klickatat County. Big tasty cooked just right. Even the fries were yummy. Nice friendly service too. It’s s tavern with good food actually. No beer on tap. Some IPA. Lots of character in this place.

Nature & Parks
Campground
Brooks Memorial State Park is a 700-acre natural area that offers bird watching, camping, and various recreational activities. It features trails, a ball field, and an amphitheater for visitors to enjoy. This small and rustic park provides clean restroom facilities. However, some RV sites are uneven while the tent sites are limited to small areas on a hill. The park boasts several hiking trails, including one that leads to a moderately-sized fir tree.
Beautiful park! Beautiful location! Pretty drive there! I didn’t see anything wrong with the state park! Except for one thing, my wife & I used there showers happy to see that they were free! The problem with the showers is they didn’t get hot enough, they weren’t cold but they felt lukewarm to me to be honest! But that’s not a serious issue, I’m sure it’s a fixable thing. I would totally camp here again!

Very nice park, has disc golf and lots of hiking trails, but it’s close to the highway so lots of road noise till late in the evening, bathrooms very clean, nice picnic area.

This is a quite and peaceful park. It also has friendly helpful staff. It also has great hiking trails. It is also close to the Goldendale observatory. We come here almost every year to watch the Perseid meteor showers.

Beautiful place, nice trails . We were a little put off by the buzzing electric lines. After a day, we didn't really notice them anymore. Tip: If you need cell service, take the Big Fir tree trail up to the top, and you will have service .

Stopped here on my way thru. Was pleasantly surprised how beautiful it was, as the hills leading up to it were pretty dry & barren. Very nice camp host, clean restroom and Campsite. Very nice shady day use area.
Christie W — Google review
Great park! Clean and the volunteers were super-friendly. The weekend was packed but Monday was so peaceful and quiet. Only cons are the main road can get pretty noisy at night and it would be great to have an extra shower or so, had to wait a few times, but its camping! :)
Josiah W — Google review
This was our first time at Brooks Memorial State Park. The park itself is quite nice with some areas that, like most places, need some attention. The campground sites were relatively nice and not too close to each other. Many sites were not particularly level, which requires a bit of leveling if you're in an RV. There is some road noise as well from highway 97, even through the night, although it's not impossible to get a good night's sleep despite the noise. Location close to St. John's Bakery makes Brooks a perfect location, as does the short 15 or so mile drive to the Goldendale Observatory. Not too much further is Maryhill Museum, the Columbia River, and a winery or two. All in all, it is a nice park that is in a perfect location for day trips and events at the Observatory with a meal break at the Bakery.
Dave R — Google review
Visited here on 4/15/19, hiked 5.4 miles on the Brooks nature trail. It was on my way home from ancient lakes. I was checking out the camp and stopped to ask the camp host if there was any hiking trails in the area. The camp host was very friendly and gave great directions and a map. The hiking trails are across the street from the campground. They are mostly all old roads, so nice and wide. All the trails on the top are muddy, slippery and waterlogged right now. Hiked 5.4 miles. Very beautiful area.

Nestled in the heart of Goldendale, the Presby Mansion Museum stands as a testament to the town's rich pioneer history. This beautifully maintained historic home showcases an impressive collection of artifacts and photographs that tell the stories of early settlers. Visitors can embark on guided tours through meticulously curated exhibits, immersing themselves in an authentic Victorian atmosphere.
I don’t forget the impression of this place! We are very thankful to people who take care about this mansion! It’s really interesting to see many staples of old life and guess how it could be used. They are saving the huge letter from an American soldier written in Japanese in November 1945 year. You can find it on the second floor. So much history was conserved there. I was impressed the school classroom as well. Thank you so much for allowing us to visit this museum after time to close. It was unforgettable!

A wonderful place to really take in the history of Goldendale. Almost all of the items were donated and the collection is priceless. They have a completely staged house in the mansion of how people lived during that time FILLED with items, a school, a dentist chair, printing press (most impressive), and a real coal tractor out front for the kids to play on. I also noticed they had real black/ white photographs of people for sale for $2 from the early 1900's...wedding pics and all. Great if you're a history buff and collector! The staff were so friendly. Highly recommend if you're sightseeing nearby.

Zoo
Goldendale Reindeer Farm, an animal park located in Goldendale, offers an immersive experience where visitors can learn about and interact with reindeer. The welcoming owners, Daniel and Tanya, ensure that every animal on the farm is cared for and loved. Booking a tour is highly recommended as it provides an informative and engaging opportunity to see Santa's reindeer up close. In addition to the reindeer, the farm also houses other adorable animals such as piggies and chicks.
They do such a lovely job. Highly recommend going during Christmas time. We moved back to Goldendale from Palmer, AK where we lived right next to the famous reindeer farm so of course we wanted to check it out. While the one in Alaska is a much bigger reindeer farm that has been going for generations, I was thoroughly impressed with how much they have done here in such a short time. The reindeer in Alaska are so tame that you can walk right in and pet a lot of them and feed them, but it is probably more of a liability and I didn’t feel like it was that big of a loss because you still get to feed one here and get right up to them and there is always someone there to answer questions. You can take turns visiting with them over and over if you want. Overall, I honestly liked the way this one has it set up better. There is enough going on that it is never overcrowded in any one place. The reindeer are beautiful and the barn is really nice and well decorated for Christmas. The carolers were a wonderful treat. They sang old fashioned carols with beautiful harmony. I don’t think it would have felt as full of an experience without them. They made it so festive. I was grateful for numerous places to get warm and fun activities for the kids and hot chocolate. Their Santa was really incredible. :) He had a great beard - 100% real, an authentic outfit, and genuine Santa personality. Mrs Clause was sweet too. The bell as a gift was a nice touch. We already had our Christmas tree, but their trees looked really nice. And I was surprised how many they still had this close to Christmas. If you were late getting a tree definitely try the reindeer farm. Everything was tastefully done. The only thing I would change is doing the demonstration/talk part at least 15 minutes earlier. By the time they did it it felt like we had been out in the cold for a long time, maybe 45 min, but I wasn’t keeping track. Our baby was not able to tolerate it anymore and we couldn’t get close to the fire - we caught the first few minutes then had to go back to the barn. Since I’ve already been to many demonstrations I didn’t mind, but for the sake of little kids I would do it almost right away cuz they lose the attention span or ability to stay in the cold quicker. I think this is a great tradition for families to do every year and it will be neat to watch the herd grow.
Kmom — Google review
Visiting the reindeer farm was nothing short of magical—an unforgettable experience that brings joy in every season, not just at Christmas (though the holiday spirit is definitely alive year-round!). From the moment you arrive, you’re wrapped in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting in the snow-dusted winter or the green glow of summer, the charm never fades. The reindeer are clearly well-loved and exceptionally well cared for—healthy, gentle, and surprisingly curious. You can pet them, feed them, and even get up close with the babies, who might just nuzzle your hand or nibble your sleeve. It’s impossible not to fall in love. The staff truly make the experience shine. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, eager to share fascinating facts about reindeer behavior, their seasonal changes, and how they’re raised and cared for. You leave not just with adorable photos and a full heart, but with a deeper understanding of these majestic animals. There’s a special kind of peace that comes from being so close to nature—and reindeer, with their soulful eyes and gentle nature, offer that in spades. Whether you’re a Christmas fanatic, an animal lover, or just someone looking for a magical escape, this reindeer farm is an experience that sticks with you long after you leave. Five stars isn’t enough. It’s pure enchantment.

Pure magic! We attended BELIEVE last weekend and had the best time. We live in Vancouver, WA and made the drive to Goldendale just to visit the farm. It was our first visit, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It is packed with details and things to do that make your experience magical! You can tell how much the owners care for the farm and their animals. We will definitely be back next year! Hopefully on a tour where we can go in the pen and feed the reindeer.

The HonkyTonk Bar and Restaurant in Goldendale is a rustic destination that offers a variety of delicious meals. Visitors can enjoy burgers, sandwiches, steaks, ribs, and shrimp for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is known for its reasonable lunch prices and great service. Guests have praised the fresh beers and mixed drinks as well as the crispy fried pickles. The spacious location has been recently renovated by friendly owners who offer a great selection of sauces for their large and crispy wings.
Very clean, cute place owned by a young couple. Trying very hard to make the restaurant a success. My husband said the the hamburger was the best he has had in a long time. I had the fish and chips. Also very good. The French fries are like a cross between a potato chip and a French fry. Very good again. Lager on tap was the perfect beer You should go there. We will be back.

Quaint, not cheap (but not too expensive), felt like a "local dive" that few locals could probably afford to eat regularly at. The food and service were both excellent! Worth returning to without a doubt!

For Goldendale....ok place. Pork Belly was cooked perfectly, but the sauce and presentation were interesting. My bone-In Rib Steak was wonderful, but no bone. Odd. One of my tables guest had the pork flat iron, but way over brined. She couldn't eat it. Other guests had the Ahi, which got high compliments. Martini was nice. Staff friendly. I'd come again.

Nice dinning experience. Three of us. Two had burgers and I had the steak linguine. All of our meals were delicious. The mushroom appetizer is also very good.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by Cameron, the new owner. Since this was our first visit we didn't have anything to compare it to but I can tell you with 100% confidence this restaurant/bar has an amazing vibe. Our barbecue ribs and fish tacos were delicious, the bathrooms are updated and very clean. The prices are reasonable and the service is outstanding. Would definitely recommend.

Went here for dinner. Kid friendly, but no kids menu. The food was great. Service was top notch. Burgers are wonderful. The space itself is cool as well. Old timbers and brick. Super cool spiral staircase in the corner of the building.
James B — Google review
I have to say the the tater tots are amazing, some of the best I have tried, thank you. I came in on a rare time when it wasn't loud so it was great. Most people probably don't mind the noise but it can be a little too much for some. That's not to say (if they allow it) to order some food to go for those unable to handle the noise, if anything it would bring in customers that otherwise wouldn't normally eat there. I don't believe the noise level needs to change just (if there is) a way for others to pick up their food from calling it in with a text or email sent to them or even an automated phone call when it's time to pick up their food. Even when it started getting loud I felt okay though, just glad it started off quiet. It is a very nice place.
Eric H — Google review
$38 for 2 burgers with fries. The burgers were dry, very little toppings and had very little flavor. The steak fries were so thin and overly salty. I had high hopes based on all the reviews I saw before going, it was super disappointing. The only part I enjoyed was the ranch, that was good. Maybe it was an off day, but for that price and what we experienced it was not worth it.

The sandwiches are good when they are made by someone who pays attention to their job and asks specific questions related to the toppings you want. I have had plenty of blah sandwiches too.

The service was... Not so good. The employee was leaving in a week, which I heard while she was making my food. I asked for light oil and vinegar and she drowned it. She actually put on a normal amount, set down the oil and vinegar, then picked it back up and did it again. Asked for onion and she put 4 tiny slices on it, couldn't tell there was any at all. Overall the worst meal I've gotten from Subway, which is one of my favorite places to eat.

When we entered there were several people ahead of us and only one employee working, Zach. He quickly called for backup. Kamden came out and together, with smiles on their faces, they quickly and efficiently made it thru their line of customers. Both of them were extremely polite and worked very well together under pressure. The food was delicious also.

I was going to put 1 star, but CHRISTINA your what made our visit worth it. I want to say that DEBORAH was super rude, she threw my cookies at me. When me and my husband were getting drinks, an angel 😇 yes an angel named Christina came and apologized for her coworker's behavior we appreciate you and blessed that you stepped in on this busy weekend. Then when we got home only to find out DEBORAH, made our sandwiches wrong.... WRONG and when we drove back to the subway we told Christina that both our sandwiches we're wrong, DEBORAH "said Christina, I was wearing my glasses when I made the order and made them correctly, in front of both my husband and I. Christina apologized once again and said she would make us new one's, and was super helpful and sweet. I would recommend going in there only if Christina is working she is an angel 😇

Quaint setting, great service, and good food. Sounds like 4 stars to me, and considering it's location, it's well deserved. I can't imagine there are any better dining options in that small town. Place is easy to find and there's ample parking. Was told when ordering that they only served New York steak on Friday and Saturday and that it usually sells out, so that's what I ordered. The steak was good and the side of mashed potatoes was gargantuan. My wife had the duck and she raved about it. Drinks were really good too. Try this place out, it's worth it

What a lovely find! We were traveling and thought the name sounded interesting. The dining room was cozy and clean. Menus showed a short list which I like to see. Restaurants with pages and pages usually put out average food - too many items to prepare well. We ordered small salads which were actually large. Delicious. I had the tomato bisque and my husband had the burger. Both were excellent. The soup had a spicy flavor that I wasn't expecting, but enjoyed. The burger was very good, as well.

I had an amazing experience at Waving Tree Winery and Vineyards, where I enjoyed wine tasting with friends. The host, Takashi, was friendly and knowledgeable about the diverse selection of wines they offer. It was difficult to choose, but I ended up purchasing a bottle of their Sangiovese Reserve and Sweet Sangiovese Rose'.
We found Waving Tree through Google, looking for a tasting room near the interstate (and which didn’t charge an arm and a leg!). The two employees there were so fun and personable and unpretentious - just like the tasting room. Even better, the wine was delish and the tasting cost was more than reasonable. When we arrived, one other couple was finishing their tasting, so it was me, my partner, and the two employees for at least an hour. We bought six different wines - they have a wide selection (~20) and all are available to taste. I think it was $8/tasting, which included 5 wines, refunded if a purchase was made. I enjoyed the Cinsaut - a varietal I haven’t heard of or tried previously - as well as the Nebbiolo and the Rivergazer Blend. The B Sweet is a delicious, light and somewhat sweet Barbera that’s perfect for hot summer days. Definitely recommend this place for tasting (and shopping!). Thanks to the team for hosting us and for the fun conversation (including more info about peaches and apricots than I ever knew!).

Hidden gem! My favorite wines were the La Volta Celeste Red Wine and The Works Winemaker’s Blend. Left very happy and with two bottles in my bike’s basket. A must stop! Waving Trees - The winemaker’s grandmother used to share this myth to all her grandchildren when the wind blowing.

Had a wonderful time tasting wine with friends at Waving Tree Winery and Vineyards. Our host, Takashi, was extremely friendly and knowledgable about the many varieties of wine they sell. It was hard to decide but I ended up getting a bottle of the Sangiovese Reserve and the Sweet Sangiovese Rose'. The location of the winery is very pituresque and close to other attractions such as the Stonehenge War Memorial, Maryhill Museum and Maryhill Fruit Stand where we bought some tasty locally grown Brook cherries.

The Maryhill area of the Columbia River Gorge is idyllic and unparalleled in it's beauty and can produce wines that compete on a world scale. Waving Tree Winery and Vineyards has a miniscule production (2500 cases). Nearby Maryhill Winery probably spills that much wine in a year. There's no grand Chateau to intimidate you into liking the wine, just a pedestrian tasting room. There's no big advertising budget, marketing gimmicks or distribution deals to inflate the price of the product. I don't care about those things. They sell from the property. They grow it, they make it, they sell it. That's old school. And they do it well. What will impress you, as it did me, is the quality. The wine is in the bargain $20-$35 price range. Don't judge. That's a facade for quality that can embarrass the big boys. How's this for a list of grape varietals: Cinsault, Nebbiolo, Mourvedre, Sangiovese, Barbera, Petite Sirah, Grenache, Chardonnay and the rare Orange Muscat. They are big on reds, mostly, but also do rose wines and that Chardonnay. I didn't have a single bad wine, not one. All were surprisingly delicious and expertly made. The blend in the Rhone style (Columbus Landing) was a standout, among others. The Orange Muscat and sweet Barbera satisfied my dessert wine Jones. This is just good wine! As a resident of the PNW, Waving Tree Winery and Vineyards is a place I will keep coming back to. As much for the taste as for the scenery. It's a small winery that serves the locals, but also welcomes the travelers. Word of mouth, or taste as it is. I hope this winery continues to do well (they've been at it since 2001). Not too well, I hope (do you get my drift?). I just want it not to change. Please keep it old school, Waving Tree.

Delicious wines and amazing people. A little off the beaten path, but so worth it. Go!!!

Do you like Italian style wines? If so, stop here!!! If Maryhill Wines represents the most efficient wine tasting experience, this winery represents the most enjoyable and educational experience. After a lackluster experience at Maryhill winery, my partner and I walked into Waving Tree. It was amazing. The owner was so knowledgeable about the grapes, the process, how to make a tasting memorable!!!! We tried so many amazing wines. I walked in excited to try their Barbera wine, then I walked out happy I got to try it and buy a couple of bottles. Every wine was unique and delicious! I wish my car was bigger to bring everything cases of what liked home! Maryhill wines may have the better scenery, Waving Tree has the better wine.

I had a wonderful time at this winery. The staff is friendly, the prices are great, and it’s a lovely walk from the campground nearby.

Dwinell, a small-scale brewery located in a quaint town, offers an enriching experience. The server is knowledgeable, the historical exhibit is impressive, and the beers are of high quality. Notably, their Ghost town infused with Cranberry stands out as a unique and refreshing choice due to its fruity syrup blend. This hidden gem may not be easily stumbled upon while passing through but is certainly worth seeking out.
Nice place and very friendly people. Their beers are very good and a little out of the ordinary from run of the mill craft beer. Several of the beers we tried had a wild yeast sour character. That "country" ale flavor was well crafted and refreshing. Downtown Goldendale is a bit off the path of most visitors, but you won't regret making the effort to find this place.

Extremely well made beer, extremely unique, worth a visit from anywhere

Stopped by while waiting for a program at the observatory and I'm so glad I did! Had a flight and was pleasantly surprised with the dry cider and trying a few tart ales. Wish I had taken some to-go.
CJ O — Google review
Small town, small craft brewery, big experience! The server was knowledgeable, the history display was cool, and the beers were good! I especially liked the Ghost town with Cranberry - a beer they mixed with a fruity syrup - an interesting combination and nice change from all the run of the mill brews. This brewery is out of the way and you might not just be driving through and see it... but it is worth the trip!

Nice place for a get together with friends. Clean and airy. Good variety of beers. no food options on site but they will let you bring food from other restaurants in. Downside is no wine options for those of us who don't or can't drink beer.

Great service and tasty beers. Loved the outdoor seating.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time at Dwinell and our first time in Goldendale in general. Dwinell excels at tart ales, and their patio and space are incredible. Mike provided excellent service as well. I would especially recommend the Foolproof Apricot Golden Ale and the Blackberry Lowdown Goslar Wheat Ale.

Great little restaurant with good prices. I had the BLT and sweet potato fries, ingredients were fresh and hot. They also have legit sweet tea made with Luzianne tea bags. Staff is friendly and personable.

We spend some time in Goldendale each year and we have been dying to try The Dirty Cowgirl. We arrived around 2pm, so between meals. We were grealeted and offered a table right away. I higher bar type table with raised chairs. Perfect for our group of three. The interior is decked out nicely. Lots of relics and photos relating to the cowgirl experience and lifestyle . Our server was magnificent and answered all of our menu related questions. I had a bacon cheeseburger with their homemade BBQ sauce. It was epic and we ended up taking more of the sauce home with us. My wife enjoyed the roast beef sandwich and salad. Fantastic! Make sure you stop in if you're looking for a great meal in Goldendale.

My girlfriend and I stopped here on a road trip and we left so happy! Mandy helped us and she was really sweet and attentive. Our food was delicious ESPECIALLY the peanut butter bacon burger, which we had never heard of before and had to try. She even made coffee for me when they didn't have any later in the day just because I mentioned needing caffeine. If we are ever in the area again we will absolutely stop back through.

Awesome amazing and delicious brisket, what more can be said? Fried Pickles hot, crunchy and "Dill"icious. Beverages, tasty but could have had a wee bit more booze, especially after driving 5+ hours through the smokey mountains, 😋 ... The interior design and decorating was super cute. Thanks for a memorable dinner.

Driving through and decided to stop for lunch. So glad we did. I had the brisket with garlic mashed potatoes, cornbread, and coleslaw. My partner had the mushroom Swiss burger with potato salad. Both were delicious and great portion sizes. Will definitely be stopping again. **parking is a block away but signage is clear. Depending on weather just be aware of that.
Maria J — Google review
When we got to the place, they ran out of the brisket and pulled pork, so we ordered the burgers, the rodeo burger is pretty good, the sauce and the beef patty is quite delicious. Unfortunately the place is pretty busy and we have to give out the table.
Yandong L — Google review
Excellent restaurant, the food was delicious the service was very fast, everyone was super friendly. There is a very cool country vibes in this restaurant I love their decor would definitely come back! The parking is a little tricky there are pink signs set up a block before the restaurant that you have to follow to a parking lot which was a little confusing. I couldn’t figure it out the first time so they let me park in there to go area super nice.
SQC C — Google review
Place was alright. I’d probably push on for food if I was in the area again. Food was alright, but the ordering and parking was very inconvenient. At the time I visited you would have to walk around outside to the to-go window to place your order. No service inside in the dining room, or at your table at all; only thing they do is bring you your food. Water and silverware are self serve. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with a side of macaroni salad and it was so-so. The macaroni salad was pretty good, but I’ve got a feeling it may have been pre-packaged macaroni salad… either way it was good! Like I said, this is the best place in town for food, but I’d still push on to The Dalles for a meal if you can.

Our first time was with our son & his wife for lunch. Great reception as we entered, very polite and accommodating. Great food, coffee. Been back twice more, and going again to breakfast this next week! We drive up from Vancouver & it’s wonderful!

Friendly fast service. We were just passing through and decided to come here and were glad we did! I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very tasty and filling with the coleslaw and fries.

This is such a great, fun restaurant in the heart of Goldendale. Awesome food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff are just the beginning! They serve a regular menu Monday through Saturday, with a brunch on Sundays. All the food is made fresh! The quiche of the day and the waffles are delicious, and I can't wait to come back for brunch! There are plans to expand into the neighboring space for a meeting room, which would be able to accommodate large groups and parties! Come check this place out!

Great service with staff, food was delicious today. Ordered fries with lunch and had options for ketchup, ranch, or fry sauce!? Great atmosphere. Quiet but busy so I enjoyed being able to have and hear my conversations. Will come again next time for breakfast or dinner. THANK YOU!
Larina M — Google review
Gary Webster, give them another try. Go earlier in the day. They seem to be much busier than they had originally expected to be. Since everything is made fresh, and, I mean fresh! I think they need more time to determine customer flow and food trends. We had lunch at the Blue Sage Cafe today. I had the most amazing Ruben Sandwich and ordered a green salad as my 1 side. The owner sent me to the salad bar. An entire trip to the salad bar is what they reference as a "simple salad". The cafe was very busy. Staff was polite and although they realized they were running out of stock, their service never wavered. Additionally, he cut our bill in half for being patient. Their food and service are worth a visit!

The blue sage, where do I start? I loved it! I love the owners, and the staff! The food was to die for! Prices are good for two people it was like $18-20 bucks. I would highly recommend you try this new little restaurant😊😋 and for the people saying the food is bad, prices are bad and too busy take your happy but to McDonald's. Leave the good food for all of us who like it!

Food was really good! Owner is extremely nice! Every business has its newbie hiccups and it was worth waiting. The waitress really needs an upgrade but everything else was good. Very cute and farm like, like Goldendale. We will be visiting again!

Nicest owner! Out front every time I've gone here. The food is always amazing and the prices are the best! Just came with a big group of family from out of town for the Sunday Brunch Buffett and we all had a wonderful time, definitely recommend!
