Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site is a reconstructed adobe fort from 1833 that once served as a trading post for buffalo robes. Situated just north of the Arkansas River, it was a significant cultural crossroads and the natural border between the United States and Old Mexico until 1846. The fort has been beautifully restored with timber-beamed ceilings and is staffed by knowledgeable guides dressed in period clothing.
Bent's Old Fort is a must see if your visiting southern Colorado. If you like western US history and the westward expansion of pioneers. Stop in to the souvenir store in back of the fort before you leave.

This was a very odd interaction. I've been to numerous NPS sites. There were 3 rangers there. They didn't provide any information except that you can't be vmclose to it due to the condition of the fort. It also wasn't a day they provided guided tours. I guess that's where you would learn more about the fort. I think it's free to visit. I have a pass, but they said they don't take passes, they are a pay only site, but it was free that day. That didn't sound quite right to me, but oh well. We walked around for a few minutes to see what we could and walked back up the trail. If you're in the area, I'd stop. I'm not sure I would travel much out of the way to see it though
Jana W — Google review
Fascinating bit of history here. I am a huge fan of the miniseries Centennial and felt like this was a familiar place. Well come to find out some of that show was filmed here. We were not able to catch one of the tours but the parts of the fort you could walk through were amazing.
Richard S — Google review
This was a very exciting historical trip. I was suggested anybody going to the fort, would definitely take the guided tour. Our guide was awesome. I knew so much of the rich history there.
Deborah W — Google review
If you like Colorado Southwestern history this place is a must because it's filled with it and the fort's been rebuilt so it's a pretty amazing experience for anyone to appreciate life on the frontier. The staff both times have been amazing the Rangers very informative and helpful you won't be bored!

Of the thousands of sites, this is THE site of 'Winning The West'. There was at least one howitzer at Bent's Old Fort when Kearny's troops arrived, as George Bent remembered (Letter Book 105): '... as the General rode up at the head of the column a salute was fired from a brass howitzer on the walls of the fort, but the gun burst. For many years this old brass gun lay in the main court of the fort.' Maybe some archaeologist will find a piece of it some day. Leaving the United States and entering Mexico, on 02 August 1846, General Stephen Watts Kearny recruited William Bent and 6 other men to lead the troops into the Mexican state of NM and West to CA. One of the hired men was J. B. Charbonneau, son of Sakajawea. The valuable scout was paid $80 a month, and Kearny personally approved the payment against JBC's signature. For details & picture see Kearny's Letter Book, p. 92. JBC had previously been educated by William Clark in St. Louis, also spent several years with Duke Paul of Württemberg in his castle in Germany, knew native languages and English, French, German, Latin and more. A few days later, he guided the 'Mormon Battalion' to CA.
Hans G — Google review
My wife and I have visited this historic place twice. It is a rebuild/replica of the original fort, said to have burned down. Upon arrival, you will park in a parking lot, just off the road, and you will continue on a footpath to the fort. Sometimes actors reenact how things went on back in these days. There is a gift shop and it is a great experience all around, in my opinion.
G R — Google review
It looks like this should be an interesting place to visit, but unfortunately only the grounds were open the day we visited because the website information didn't seem to be working correctly, and they're running limited shifts with the visitor's center open and part of the structure open. This is a recreation, built in the 1970s, and it's starting to experience some structural integrity issues, so access is limited both for safety and preservation efforts. Make sure to check out the website and perhaps call to verify when they're open and staffing the building before you venture out. As of Sept. 2025, the building is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays. The grounds are beautiful and there's some information to read along the path.

Lucy's Tacos is a popular stationary food truck-style spot located on 3rd Street in La Junta. The place is known for its Green Chili Plate and various dishes featuring green chili. Customers rave about the flavorful burritos, especially the vegetarian options like the California burrito. The churros, particularly the Oreo and strawberry flavors, are also highly recommended. In addition to tacos and loaded chili fries, Lucy's Tacos offers indoor climate-controlled dining as well as outdoor seating.
Just got to town and went to Lucy's Great spot on the corner, its a make shift food trailer with a indoor/ outdoor seating area. Large menu, great food. People showed up behind around dinner time

A trailer with a couple of tables. Always busy. Had a tasty California Burrito. Steak, potatoes, cheese, salsa. And had one red sauce, and one green sauce. Both taste great and spicy.
Daniel R — Google review
Outstanding taco truck. I had a taco combo plate. Everything was delicious. They have inside and outside seating. There is also a restroom. I would eat here all the time if I lived in LA Junta.
M C — Google review
My husband picked up food there today for the first time in over a year. The price is outrageous now. The quesadillas had barely any cheese but were swimming in grease to the point of being inedible. The California burrito had almost zero French fries in it. My husband got all the way home and realized they had forgotten a whole order of asada fries. When he tried to call them multiple times he got no answer and had to drive all the way back to town to ask for a refund. They don’t skimp on the meat, but the only flavor it has is one of straight up salt. I’m so disappointed. Lucy’s was always a favorite of ours, we just hadn’t been in a while. But now we will not be going back.
Angela S — Google review
I had a grilled chicken taco and cream cheese churro for dinner. They were both very good. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely return next time I’m in town.
Lou H — Google review
Traveling through to New Mexico, we stopped for a quick lunch. I ordered one of each chicharon, fish, and barbacoa taco, my husband ordered a green chili burrito and tea. The basket of corn tortilla chips served on arrival are crisp and warm, the salsa fresh and flavorful with just the right kick. Perfect size for two to share. The food is freshly prepared, authentically seasoned, delicious. Worth a stop at this low key space on the corner to enjoy generous servings of traditional home style food. Prompt friendly service, tasty foods.
Kelly R — Google review
The food here was amazing and authentic! We had a breakfast platter and some of their tacos! We liked it so much we placed a second order. It’s right off the main road and worth the stop!!
H M — Google review
I ordered the Adobada Pork Burrito w/ Guac and Salsa.. it was definitely a delicious burrito, not at all dry, and well seasoned while being quite filling. The employees inside are kind, and the food was served in a timely manner despite the fact it was busy. I definitely recommend this place for those who are on a lunch break, or for someone who needs to eat on the road.

Family restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
Copper Kitchen, located on Colorado Avenue in La Junta, Colorado, is a beloved family-friendly restaurant known for its excellent green chili. The menu offers delicious and affordable meals for all tastes, with some unique options like shrimp cocktail. Despite its old-fashioned diner vibe, the place is clean and spacious with friendly staff. Visitors praise the quick service and delicious food, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone passing through the area.
Love this little restaurant 😍 First time here and the summer salad was perfect, and I don't say often. In fact, my friends say that I'm picky. So, for me to say this salad was perfect, says it all. The only thing that I would improve on this place is it could use some upbeat low playing music in the background. It would make the environment more pleasant to hide all the chatter from the kitchen.
Theresa W — Google review
The last time I was in La Junta I googled restaurants in the area and this place popped up with a few others for world-famous green chili. I don't know what the backstory is on that in terms of who conducted the awards and how many restaurants were involved. I would consider this green chili to be above average though and medium to hot in terms of spiciness, but it didn't make me crave it to the point where I was like "I have to have this again". The hash browns, gravy, and french toast were all very generic and are not worth getting. The pancake wasn't bad (a little dry) but I have also had way better pancakes than the ones this place makes. The most unique item I had was the biscuit. It tasted excellent, was very soft, and judging by the appearance of it would guess the kitchen makes them from scratch. I have not had biscuits quite like these ones and would recommend anybody stopping by try them out. I would also request it by itself and not be smothered in gravy.
Vexivero — Google review
The club sandwich was ok. But what is this Grinder sandwich I ordered for nearly $11 bucks. This looks terrible. When I think grinder I think lunch meat cheese sandwich, not this pressed patty. Only serve Breakfast until 11 am
Chef M — Google review
Diners like this are my favorite and I stop as often as I can while traveling with my camper. This is a nice diner with good atmosphere and the food was spot on delicious. Service is excellent. Everyone seems so happy to be there. If I lived in this charming town of La Junta, I would be a regular! Thank you for the experience Copper Kitchen!
Christopher S — Google review
Stopped in for breakfast while in town for a getaway. Maybe it is where I'm from, but for the price, we truly expected better. I had the two egg plate with bacon and wheat toast. The bacon was good. The bread had no flavor. My partner had a pancake with bacon. He said his pancake had no flavor, and the syrup was overly sweet. And even if it would have been great, the portion sizes weren't worth the price. It was a hard miss for us.
Willa B — Google review
It was very good food, service, and atmosphere. Our server was great, very polite and friendly, lived here smile that she had for us and all her other customers. The food was superb, the chicken fried steak was great, and the dinner rolls were homemade and wow delicious. The place had a very homey and comfortable feel to it. Will be going back as often as I can.
Terrie H — Google review
We wont eat here again. Everything was so greasy! We all had extreme stomach pain the rest of the day! Service was not great and the $16.00 giant burger is a regular size patties with a regular size bun that took them over 30 minutes to make. Food was cold and greasy. Wasted $52.00 for three regular meals.

The new manager is an absolute sweetheart, she has excellent costumer service, and is very helpful! The store is always exceptionally clean and all the clothing is hung up according to size(very helpful). If I could I would rate this place with 10 stars!

Unbelievably friendly staff that are all volunteers. Prices go towards a good cause- church- at bargain price. Every week two different out of the four our discounted; one is half off and the other is 50¢. Only suggestion is start a track of your purchases since they have two computers to track the pile of items as you shop. It's easy to spend more than intended for the season of "a great deal" are found here. Thoughly have enjoyed every visit if only for the conversations and welcoming volunteers.

Great little shop you'd never find in the big city... front half of the store is full of a wide variety of fair trade gifts, decor, pottery, and jewelry, including Ten Thousand Villages stuff. The back half is a thrift/consignment shop. The staff is always very helpful and friendly, and there's always a special on some category of merchandise.

Alongside their impressive drink menu, you can indulge in light bites such as fresh sandwiches and pastries that are perfect for a quick snack or meal.
I got a latte. It is one of the better ones I've ever had. They were not busy when I went. They were quick in making it. The prices are quite reasonable.

Great atmosphere, kitchen is currently closed but i got a chocolate muffin and it was great! Got an iced hazelnut breve, could’ve been richer but still pretty solid for their prices especially! Got the 20 oz coffee and chocolate muffin for $10. Friendly service, would come back! EDIT: I came back the next day and owner was more than happy to accommodate and experiment to find the best combo to make the drink richer! She made two test drinks for me to try with different combos and we found the combo! All we needed was one less espresso shot and 1 or 2 more pumps of hazelnut! She even offered to not charge me for the drink but they value the quality of their drinks and their customers happiness so of course they deserve paying customers <3

Kitchen closed for remodeling this weekend but had yummy muffins and coffee cake :). Services and drink selection was great! Fun book shelf with unique selections to purchase!
Marianne A — Google review
My train was held an hour at La Junta waiting on a crew change, so I wandered into town to stretch my legs and seek out a latte. The barista at The Barista was friendly, made me feel welcome upon entering, and conversational. She readily honored my request for breve style (made with half and half instead of milk), a request that frequently elicits blank stares at other independent coffee shops. They have an extensive list of syrups from which I chose raspberry. She used just the right amount to where it was not overpowering. They also have mugs for dine-in orders; I can’t take a coffee shop seriously if they only have paper and no china. Unfortunately, I did not have much time and had to get a disposable cup. The coffee cake pastry was fresh. They have a well-stocked bookshelf with an eclectic mix of local history, state history, and outdoor-related reads. Most chairs are hard but there is a small cushioned sofa which will be appreciated by those with a bad back or sciatica. My visit made me happy and I welcome the chance to return on a more relaxed timeframe so that I can linger and indulge in some of the other flavors.

This coffee shop is so cute!! They have all your typical coffee shop drinks plus food! We came here on our way home and absolutely loved our drinks. The Railyard is a laid-back bar and restaurant in La Junta, offering a variety of craft cocktails and classic American dishes. The place is adorned with unique railroad decor, creating an inviting and trendy atmosphere. While it can get crowded at times, the staff is known for being friendly and attentive. Despite occasional high prices on some menu items, the overall quality and variety of food are commendable.
Every time I go to this place, I fall a little more in love with it! Simply put, it just has good energy. The decor is all about trains, and is very cool memorabilia. If you go at lunch time, your bartender/server will probably be my buddy Sally; she's fantastic-+chat her up and tell her Tony sent you in. The menu isn't big, but the flavors are. I've had the "slopper" (SOOO GOOD!) and the chili cheese fries (ALSO DAMN GOOD), but I don't think you can go wrong here. Please support this place so it doesn't close!

We found this place online, and checked the menu before going. There were lots of choices, inluding dessert. When we got there, the actual menu was quite limited, with no dessert. The waitress was also the cook. The food was mediocre, the service bad. I would not reccomend this place.
Nita G — Google review
This place is for sale, no wonder. Rotten food and Rotten service. They were out of several items on the menu. The bartender, server was so unfriendly. The cheese sticks were inedible and the burgers were terrible. I know from experience how hard it is to run a bar. This one is failing. Save your money and go somewhere else. I absolutely do not recommend. I hate saying this but it's the truth.

Bamboo Panda Inc is an excellent eatery, far superior to the dreadful experience of being kicked in the face by donkeys. The food is exceptionally good and surpasses all expectations. While their parking situation may not be ideal, if you manage to escape unscathed from the unruly hooves of those aforementioned pack animals, you can rely on them to assist with packing your family into your vehicle. The service is prompt and efficient, exemplifying quickness and quality.
Really surprised about the high quality of food for this place being in a smaller city. Ordered the Hawaii Beef and wife ordered the seafood delight. Service was quick and efficient. The prices under $40 for two people with entrees and drinks. Probably our new favorite Chinese place. Some people like all the restaurant noise but this place is quiet and that was a nice change. This place stays busy though. If you are in southern Colorado this place is worth the drive.

La Junta KOA Journey is a fantastic campground with plenty of outdoor activities for families and groups. The amenities include a swimming pool, recreation room, slip-n-slide, bounce castle, and day tours. The owner is knowledgeable about local attractions and strives to keep prices low. The office has a shop selling local honey, salsa, and fun decorations. While not fancy, the RV park offers easy access from Highway 50 and is within walking distance to restaurants and stores.
We loved our stay! Moving from coast to coast and stopped in La Junta for the night. Was quoted almost $500 for 1 night & 2 rooms at local hotel chains, then we found this wonderful gem! We stayed in a cabin and the caboose and we all loved the details and cool features of the caboose stay. The pool and water slide were incredible & the dog park for pups was neat. We didn’t get to play mini golf but we took a peek around. Highly recommend! The owner was wonderful and helpful in every way.

A nice attractive campground. The premium sites are very spacious and there is nice landscaping. The campground is made more interesting because of its display of old railroad cars. They have a very nice restored caboose that is available to stay in. They were not very accommodating when I needed to change my reservation dates because my wife was ill. I made the mistake of booking a new reservation on line and then when I called to cancel the original reservation they would not consider a refund so I ended up paying double for my stay.

Loved our stay once again. We visit La Junta every summer and the campground is beautifully maintained, cabins absolutely sparkling clean, and in a perfect location. I wanted to give 5 stars for the service but I guess that would depend on what time you find yourself interacting with the employees. In the mornings the woman working seems very condescending at times and unnaturally slow and out of it at other times. If you happen to be by in the afternoon however, there is an older woman that is absolutely wonderful and another woman always on the go but so kind!! We love staying at this KOA and will be back again next year. Can't wait to see the progress made on those railcars!!

Stayed here twice with our 10 & 12 yr old boys, Memorial Day Weekends 2023 and 2024. What brought us back was the following: 1. Awesome Pool - one of the nicest, if not THE nicest outdoor pools we have experienced camping, and we've experienced a lot. It is heated perfectly, has a fun curved waterslide that dumps into the pool, shaded seating areas, and a cozy natural vibe with the tall greenery around it. 2. South camping section is pleasingly shaded with trees and super quiet. The whole KOA is pretty far from the highway (rare for a KOA), and the South section is the furthest away you can get. 3. Great base camp for cool prairie stuff to do. Over the two trips, we did the Picket Wire Canyon Forest Service Guided 4x4 tour, hiked Vogal Canyon, toured Bent's Old Fort (managed by NPS), and visited Koshare Indian Museum. Google them, they are worthwhile activities. On our list for next time is to explore Apishapa Canyon (State Wildlife Area) and paddleboard at John Martin Reservoir State Park. 4. La Junta is a decent sized town with good restaurants (Lucy's Tacos tops), a historic downtown with a restored movie theatre, and a nice, large city park. This a refreshing alternative to a mountain camping trip, especially in May or early June when the high country is still thawing out and not even green yet.

This place is great. Grounded and staff are wonderful. Professional and hard working at keeping this place clean. Great location but look at your map. I came to see dino footprints trail. Wal Mart next door but you wouldn't know it . Fenced in. Nice cute clean low key town .

I was working a local contract last winter and had to stay at this park because it was the only game in town. During one particularly cold night, the park manager covered all the water connections with 5 gallon buckets lined with fiberglass insulation. The problem with this, is that he covered the temperature sensor on my heated hose, which resulted in the hose rupturing in the middle of the night. After destroying a $75 hose, the park manager charged an additional $65 (without any discussion) to my credit card for the cleanup fee. The cleanup consisted of letting the thirsty desert ground absorb the water in less than 24 hours. If you've read any of these other reviews, you know by now that Brad, the Park manager, has a lucrative side hustle, adding unnecessary fees and refusing to refund things that he should. The office is always closed, with a sign on the door and number to call – – don't bother calling, you won't get a response. The park has a propane refill station, but I didn't see the point, since there was never anyone available for assistance. I refilled my propane at a gas station down the road. The Campground is located beside the town's main road and if the traffic noise doesn't keep you awake, it is lit up like a Christmas tree around the clock. The covers on the always overflowing dumpsters remain open so plan on adopting a stray cat while you're there. The rates are competitive during RV season, but don't change in the dead of winter.

Spent a night in the caboose and left covered in bed bug bites. Still waiting for a call back from the owners. Be careful staying at this KOA. We frequent KOAs and this looked like a nice little spot for a one night stay along our trip, but paying for it now and hoping others don’t have to deal with the same issues. I am literally covered from head to toe in bites.

We stopped at KOA Journey on our motorcycle ride around Colorado. Brad was friendly and helpful at the check-in. He delivered some firewood while we were at dinner. We stayed in the Cool Caboose, which was, in fact, very cool! I'll stay here again.

Visitors can explore the rich heritage of the wild west through informative displays and artifacts. This museum is a wonderful piece of history not to be missed! I learned so much about the history of southeast Colorado. There are so many buildings to explore and every display is so well documented. Seeing an 1866 stagecoach in such great condition was amazing. The museum volunteers that offer tours are so knowledgeable, especially Leonard.

A MUST see. Awesome museum. We didn't know exactly what to expect when we entered the museum. We knew it had to do with the history of Otero County. We were in awe with the large amount of exhibits and structures on the grounds. The volunteer tour guide was great!

Wonderful place to find out about local history from Mr. Otero and Kit Carson to more current happenings. Informative captions that help bring artifacts to life. I had visited a couple of years ago, and the museum didn't have air conditioning. It does now! There are several outside exhibits and of course I picked another hot day to visit, so I'll have an excuse to go back and view those as well when it's not so hot!

We had a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Malle, was gracious, interesting and friendly. The museum is much larger than it looks, adding buildings and exhibits as they go. Nothing is roped off or forbidden...walk amongst history and experience it!!!!

Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center (AVRMC) is located in an area known for its fresh vegetables and melons. The medical center's Emergency Room prioritizes urgent cases, ensuring that patients with critical needs are attended to promptly. The Physical Therapy Department at AVRMC is highly regarded for its knowledgeable and caring staff, led by Director Candace Adler.
I had a procedure done here and the staff was so amazing! I was VERY nervous to have my first surgery, and Judith the nurse was kind and caring. She explained everything to me and really made me comfortable. Dr. Kaiser is amazing too! I am very thankful for the care I received at AVRMC, from the surgical and anesthesia department, they all made me feel safe.

Dr. Emily Garcia here and Rocky Ford: I have had a total of 3 appointments with her. 1 st appointment went seemingly ok. 2nd visit was for anxiety and a inflamed tooth. I went into some detail as to how severe my anxiety is by explaining a recent incident.A friend and neighbor was drunk and broke the front door down of my friends home. She was aggressive toward me and I ended it very quickly, fracturing her skull. (I was the only other woman in the home)Trying to explain how much it bothered me and that I wish I had reacted differently. Her response well you were in the right. I already knew I was in the right. ( She was charged) That comment should have said it all. Tried to explain that I have been on meds before. That the one that I was given gave me very severe side effects. One gave me Steven Johnson's syndrome, another took all the salt out of my body causing seizures. I'm afraid to take anything and asked for what I had in the past xanex. Wouldn't perscribe, new side effects. Palmer psoriasis! During this visit I explained how I had a tooth infection and over Mother's day had went to the ER in the springs. Upon returning home Monday night my meds were gone. Probably lost among our many stops that day. She looks at tooth and asked if I was in pain, stated no. She was supposed to prescribe an antibiotic. Said she was calling it in to pharmacy. This is the Friday after mother's day 2025. She sent my scripts to a unknown by myself pharmacy. (Not the pharmacy I requested) After repeated calls to my pharmacist trying to get an update and they still don't have it, I call my doctor's office, closed. Get a call back that they made a mistake and will rectify immediately! They called in the script never contacting original pharmacy about mix up, my meds are filled sitting on the shelf. My regular pharmacy can't fill them as my insurance has them filled already. Continued to call Dr. And pharmacy, fixed yet. That Tuesday I got the antianxiety, what's that 4 or 5 days later. I'm still looking for my antibiotic it's not rectified and available for pick up until the 28th what's that 10 or 12 days later??? At this point I am only calling the doctors office expecting an update on scrip. Had my dentist appointment on the 4th of this month had a mouth full of teeth removed with a infected mouth! Dentist is a whole other piece of work and you could check out his review prestige dental in Pueblo. Found out the 5th my meds were ready the 28, I continued to call them asking and they never told me when the finally did their job. Pitiful excuse for a human being let alone a Doctor. I'd go to a vet first...never again...can you say malpractice! The last visit is another book and I'm not feeling well, I now have a thrush infection that I won't get treatment for. Still no meds as promised, again 4 days in without treatment. Give me a call and an email address. I would love to send you a copy of my last Appointment. Yes I taped it. Good luck denying your incompetence!!

Staff here are great. They took my mom in quickly and saw to her needs and took great care of her. Even though my dad is no longer with us, I was so impressed at how much care he had from the doctors and nurses. I know small towns always get the bad rap about their medical facilities, but the hospital here in La Junta has great staff and the community is lucky to have this.
Sandra L — Google review
I had an emergency where I had dislocated my shoulder. Long story short, the doctors don’t have any clue how to treat a person, they lie on the bills claiming you received medication that you don’t and bill you for a poor service. Don’t risk your Health or your life by going to AVRMC. First off, I don’t willingly go to the doctors or hospital because of the obvious reasons that they practice medicine, not mastered it, but practice it. I had been in extreme pain for over 4 days. Anyways, the nurses were great, they were empathetic and willing to help. Not the reason for the one star review. I was taken to X-ray to ensure there were no breaks also great service not the reason for the one star review. Here is where the one star comes in the doctor never touched me, he walked in the emergency room I was occupying and said my shoulder looks fine, no dislocation no breaks and said I would receive some pain pills for the pain. He then turned around and walked out. The nurse then handed me two pills and some water to wash them down. The pain didn’t change and that went on for two weeks. I ended up at my chiropractor at my normal scheduled appointment and at first glance he asked me if my shoulder was ok, I explained to him what had happened and with a small crack, and a piercing pain the pain was gone, my arm was sore but it didn’t hurt to move anymore. More to the one star review, I got billed for the er visit, the doctor visit, an injection and an X-Ray. I contacted the hospital and asked about the injection and they said I received an injection, I explained that I received two pills but no injection. I got billed for a doctor that has no clue on what he is doing and let me leave with the same dislocated shoulder I came in with.

Seen Jessica Onega a doctor here for two years and was treated like I was garbage and my pain meant nothing to them. It is not normal to be in so much pain that you can't get out of bed her case load is so high that your er visit follow up will be scheduled out for two months later. I was referred to her Surgeon Dr Jackson that Claim that he refuses to do a exploratory surgery due to complications and said he will talk to Jessica about prescription that can possibly help never received a response from Jessica I have decided to go to another doctor they got me on the schedule in 5 days something needs to be done she has way too many patients 😭 it's horrible that they are taking insurance money and not giving adequate care. This really need to be looked into. But it appears that this is a one star hospital facility so what did I expect.
Murisa J — Google review
Many specialists visit here so you don’t have to drive to bigger cities, however I’ve had to repeat tests done here somewhere else because the readings were so blurred they were no good. I was told the machines here a too antiquated to be efficient by 3 different doctors.

The park was clean picnic tables restrooms. But you can't put up a tent. I put up my tent was kicked out by a cop at 1:00 in the morning. That just goes to show you the mentality of the Colorado politics. Didn't have a problem the entire way through 11 states until I hit Colorado. Creekside Smokehouse in KY, known for its BBQ fest, offers a wide variety of sauces that surpass expectations. This underrated spot boasts delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere with great conversation and TV screens. The menu includes options like the 3 meat combo with slaw, baked beans, and fried pickles. The ribs are exceptionally flavorful, while the brisket and pulled pork are both tasty without being greasy or fatty.
Definately a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. The BBQ was great! Brisket that falls apart, lean and delicious pulled pork and the ribs were fall off the bone. And we are from Texas, we know good bbq. This place is legit!!

I got the 2 meat plate for $18, sorely disappointed. Not a lot of food for that money, the macaroni and cheese had very little, you know, CHEESE, and the cole slaw tasted weird, like it had dill in it! Definitely not worthy of their advertisement "best BBQ in town!"

As a southerner who grew up eating bbq this is by far the best ribs I've ever had in my life! Don't let the outside fool you, this place is very nice inside and the food is amazing!

So we are from KY, home of the BBQ fest, by far this food exceeded our expectations ! What a great place! The range of sauces blew us away, we know BBQ and I'm telling you this little spot is underrated! Isaac invited us over we were going to do takeout so glad we stopped and took a seat, great conversation to go along with the food, nice big TV's that we could actually hear and see what was going on! We had the 3 meat and slaw, baked beans and fried pickles. The ribs were slap your Mama good, the brisket and pulled pork was amazing, not greasy and fatty. We will be back when we travel to LaJunta, CO again. I'm actually to to make an excuse to go out of town again just to stop in here ! Thanks Isaac for a memorable experience

We had a unique request as we came to La Junta to be with my gpa who is fighting lung & liver cancer. Ted and his team were so nice about helping us make this Thanksgiving special by purchasing a Turkey, herbs and spices to brine & smoke a Turkey just for us! The Turkey was very flavorful, & the leg meat was nice and juicy and falling off the bone-YUM! Creekside BBQ went above & beyond for our family, and even opened up the place to hand it over on Thanksgiving morning, before Ted went out of town for his family’s plans. The customer service, enthusiasm for smoking our Turkey and emphasis on a quality small town business was refreshing and commendable as we live in a busy non-personable big city -Phoenix, AZ. Ted even followed up a few days later to check in on how we liked it and show empathy for our situation. My family had so many good things to say about this Turkey, and ALSO raved about how good the Ribs were when they got some before we arrived to town! Definitely worth stopping in and they have a friendly, clean restaurant ready to feed your family! Go try it! Nov2022update:thanksgiving eve I am still feeling grateful that Ted was able to make such a lasting memory for my family. My grandfather passed away in Feb 2022 so it truly was his last thanksgiving that Ted made special with that gorgeous, delicious smoked Turkey. May you continue to keep emphasis on family and feed many the good food you turn out of that kitchen! Thank you!🦃🖤in memory Earnie Webb 🕊️

Great Food! Friendly Service! Reasonable Prices! We have been to Creekside a few times and have never been disappointed. Isaac is friendly and the food is some of the best around, plus you get a LOT of food for your money. We have had the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, ribs and many of the sides and it was all very tasty. The brisket is probably my favorite and the quality of the smoked meat is some of the best I have seen.

For a while we did not eat here because of the misses. Every once in a while ate at a Sonic somewhere else and food was always so much superior. but.... Lately this sonic has stepped up to the plate and back to make some very good food. out of the last 10 visits 9 were spot on with expectations. the 1 not was first thing in the am and ordered a burger and the bread was rock hard like it was left out all night. i ended up eating it like a tostada and only ate the non bread parts.

Carl’s Jr. is a popular fast-food chain celebrated for its extensive selection of towering burgers and delicious meal combos, complemented by indulgent shakes. Many patrons rave about the great value for money and friendly service they experience during their visits. While some have encountered occasional hiccups with soggy burgers, others highlight the freshness and quality of their meals, particularly enjoying items like the queso burger.
It is your typical Carl's Jr. The food was good. The lady who helped me was very nice.

Good food great prices! Excellent people!!! 08/19/2024 Wife and I came must have had a new cook bc the burgers were soo sooo soggy. Which wasn't the problem...the problem was is that when my wife took the burger back the manager on duty informed her that the burger sat so long and that's why it's soggy. She said it was 30 minutes however it was soggy from the get go and I chose to eat my fries first but it wasn't a 30 minute wait till I ate the burger. I attempted to consume the soppy wet burger and failed. So my wife took it back. And manager stated it had been to long. We were still in the restaurant eating our meal.

Every. Single. Time. I go here I specifically request "light condiments" that means light ketchup. Light mayo. Tell me why almost every single time I receive my food it looks like this.... This is unedible guys. And when i called multiple times to try and get my order fixed I was greeted with silence before they just flat out hung up on me without saying a word. This is very disappointing as I am a frequent customer and have only had my order correctly made once.

Mexican restaurant
This dining establishment was highly recommended by a relative residing in La Junta. After traversing the United States, I can confidently assert that it offers some of the most exceptional Mexican cuisine I have ever encountered. The personnel, including the owner, were exceedingly amiable. Opting for takeout, I ordered a tamale, cheese enchilada, bean tostada, beans, and vermicelli which were promptly prepared in under five minutes.
Always great , staff and food are amazing! I had to eat there twice yesterday it was so good!

Food was average. Atmosphere was better. If you’re looking for OK Mexican food in LaJunta, Colorado, give this place a try. They don’t take credit cards or ATM, so bring your cash!

Super friendly and pleasant staff. I had the carnitas and they were great while my wife had the bean and potato burrito and she loved it. The margs are great only to be topped by the tres leches or cheesecake desserts! Great vibe and well appointed bar top off this “find” in La Junta. Thanks for a good dinner!

This restaurant came recommended by a relative who lives in La Junta. I have traveled across the United States and this is hands-down some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. All of the staff and the owner were extremely nice. I ordered takeout (tamale, cheese enchilada, bean tostada, beans, and vermicelli) and my food was ready in less than five minutes! This restaurant is located very close to Otero Junior College McDivitt Center. They only accept cash so keep that in mind.

Ordered chicken enchiladas but you would've thought they were only cheese with how little chicken I got. Its like they honestly gave me a PINCH of chicken lol

We came through La Junta about a year ago and had a wonderful meal here so this time we decided to return. Everything started out great. The wait staff was attentive and friendly at first but when we got the bill it was not itemized. Also we had to wait a long time to check out. I presented my Mastercard and was then told that they don’t accept credit cards, only cash or checks and there was an ATM on site. Luckily I had the cash. I did not see any sign that said no credit cards and waitstaff did not notify me. I ordered a no. 12 that was recommended by our waiter but can’t remember what they called it. I ordered it with mild sauce but it was too spicy for me and the flavor was mediocre. I won’t be back.
