The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, part of the University of Minnesota, is a sprawling 1,200-acre public garden featuring scenic display gardens, woodlands, ponds, prairie landscapes, and various sculptures. Visitors can explore the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden while enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The arboretum hosts educational programs and events throughout the year. With its stunning summer flowers that bloom into September and vibrant fall foliage in October, it's a must-see destination for nature enthusiasts.
Absolutely wonderful experience! We walked about 4 miles and saw most of the arboretum. There is also an option to drive through it and parking spots near the major sights. We were there for about 4-5 hours in total, so it’s definitely worth the money. The iris portion was one of my favorites, the flowers were incredibly beautiful. The walk was also very fragrant and smelt amazing! Highly recommend to visit this place, but I suggest doing some research to see when your favorite flowers bloom so that you can see them here. I also suggest buying the tickets online, as they are 5$ cheaper than in person, so you save a lot getting them online, especially with a large group.

By far my favorite place near the twin cities. This place is so well thought out. The gift shop has the most amazing chocolate. Definitely so much art. Such a peaceful place. You will want to make sure you check this for your list. Everyone is welcome here so many features for anyone from walker to wheelchair and very kid friendly
Elexa H — Google review
I bought one of the year long membership options and it’s definitely worth it. There are so many events and plants to see here all year long. The tulips during May are spectacular and definitely worth seeing. I also love going down to the Farm at the Arb which hosts different events in August-September for harvesting different plants (potatoes, sugar beets, apples, etc). An incredible amount of flowers, bushes, and trees to see throughout the Arboretum. There are different hiking paths as well. It’s very well maintained and definitely if I didn’t live 45 minutes away, I would be here more often.
Holly W — Google review
Gorgeous Grounds. Beautiful For a Fall wedding. This was the second wedding I attended at the Arb. It was stunning - the most intimate venue. The barn becomes a dance floor after dark . The ceremony could be in any of the gorgeous gardens on property. Dinner indoors or out. Gorgeous. As a guest you could not pick a better choice to attend. ‘Twas magical.
CieJ’ L — Google review
Okay first I did not know this cost money but it was $25 to get in and I went on a weekday. But the one person membership is $75 and they do take that $25 off so that's kind of a good deal. But this is beautiful scenery smells amazing and love the different flowers smells and the different tree smells so much to see. Suggest buying a membership because you will need to go more than once to see everything you have to go at different parts of the year to see which flowers are blooming. Great experience a very peaceful.
Danielle D — Google review
The most stunning place! I love the variety in plants and views! All times of the year, the arb is so much fun to visit! From field trips as a child, to family outings, or bringing my students, this place is the best!
Carly W — Google review
Online tickets only: $20 non-members (16+) - needed barcodes are emailed to you. Parking: lots of parking, ♿ handicapped located in the first row. Tours: 🛺 rides are offered for outside grounds. Leon C. Snyder building: automatic entrance doors, visitor info booth by west entrance, bathrooms beyond visitors info booth next to the art displays that are for sale $$$$, cafe is located on the top floor accessible by stairs or elevator, gift shop located first floor east side, library has a gorgeous wood interior but is open certain times of day, and gardens accessible by multiple exits of the building. Educational building: down the road from the parking lot is a building dedicated to the youth including learning exhibits and educational classes. 3-Mile drive around the rest of the property where you'll find a maze (see photo), Chinese garden (see photo), sculpture garden, and much more. The gardens: they have a Japanese garden, Chinese garden, rose garden, kitchen herb garden, shrub garden, waterfalls, picnic areas, fountains, and much more. Open all year, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is such a beautiful place to go! No matter what season it is, they have flowers and plants to display in the Leon C. Snyder building or grounds. If you go in the spring, you'll see blooming flowers and art vendor fairs; autumn, you'll see foliage, pumpkins and a hay building on the grounds; winter, you'll see tons of Christmas lights outside and inside as well as the largest Christmas trees I've ever seen next to served hot coco/cider. They also offer moonlight walks along the trails. There is so much to see and do here. I 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone. There is almost nothing to complain about. However, I only have 2 things that bother me hence the minus 1 ⭐. 1) the Chicken Cranberry Salad is bland BUT the Chop Chop Salad is delicious! 2) the Chinese Garden is lacking and looks uncared for.
Allana M — Google review
Landscape is well maintained throughout the year. The Aboretum have a huge collection of different types of tree, flowers, and other plants. Fall colors are beautiful and hard to find similar ones elsewhere that I've been to.

Lake Ann Park is a serene lakeside park that offers various water recreational activities, along with picnic areas, trails, and athletic fields. It is an ideal destination for families seeking a peaceful environment. While the playground near the beach may not be suitable for toddlers due to its slightly intimidating nature, the beach itself provides a safe and enjoyable experience for young children. There is also a pleasant walking path available, although it would be nice to have more of them.
A pretty little lake park just outside of Chanhassen. The lake is small, and gas motors are prohibited. Dogs with leases are ok, but not on the beach. There is a well stocked concession stand, small boat rentals, a beach with a playground , a fishing pier, a boat launch, and a hiking trail around the lake. We didn't go to the ball fields, but we noticed that there were quite a few. On the other side of the lake is a little neighborhood beach you can walk to on a trail.
DJ G — Google review
Great place for families. The playground by the beach is a little scary for the toddler (or I should say her mom) but she wants to be by the water so it doesn't work to go play at the second playground set by the fields. So it may not apply to most people. I always play volleyball at the nets. The beach is great for little kids. The little walking path is nice. Makes me wish there were more! *I will add sometimes the bugs get really bad the second the sun goes down so be prepared. More than just mosquitoes. The sand can get pretty hot during the day
Hannamarie W — Google review
Excellent place to play beach volleyball or go swimming. The playground is nice and so is the walking trail.

Ann Lake for the 4th of July is fun and exciting. A beautiful lake..
John R — Google review
I’ve taken the family countless times for swimming, hiking, geocaching, and the play-sets. I don’t think we’ve ever fished here before though. The pier is large and nice. The sunnies bit well and made for an amusing afternoon with the kids. Also saw a couple large snapper turtles swim by our lines!
Brian P — Google review
Went there for the 4th of July fireworks show. The park was clean and there were plenty of people helping with parking. Remember your mosquito repellent at dusk!

Beautiful lake, great walking paths, and nice beach area with a nice playground for kids.

A fun place to come and relax. Peddle boat rentals are $15/hour so very affordable. Not too crowded usually. Lots of trees.

Lake Minnewashta Regional Park offers a range of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy. This scenic lakeside park features picnic tables, a playground, a dog run, a boat dock, and volleyball courts. It's also popular for hosting wedding ceremonies with its rented shelters. The park boasts beautiful trails that are perfect for walking all year round, especially during the stunning fall season with its vibrant colors.
A great place to take your dog when you want a balance of space and trail. The entrance is a bit hard to find but once in, you are treated to a lush trail and water sources.

Not much views along the trail. Seems a good spot for fishing and boating though. Good facility with large restrooms. There’s some constructions and trail closures going on (Oct 2024).
Zoey Z — Google review
Glad to see and use the new playground. Plenty of picnic tables and space to play! Only one grill though, located by the pavilion. The playground is not for the meek or timid, but there are other age-appropriate equipment.
Danyl — Google review
The dog park is easily the best I’ve ever seen in the country. The people and dogs there are always great too. After getting super muddy in the many swampy areas there (we see them as a positive) my dogs love to go to the boat launch and clean up. We’re always respectful of any boats coming or going, and no one, including park staff, have ever complained. Only way it could be any better there would be if they opened up the “canoe launch” area for dogs to be able to swim more. It’s a perfect place for them, but the road is usually closed.
Daniel P — Google review
I took my 7-year-old grandsons to 5 park playgrounds in one day. Lake Minnewashta was our last. Whereas some playgrounds are geared toward 3-5s, this one was challenging enough for the boys and also had equipment for younger kids. They played until I summoned them to the picnic lunch I'd brought and we ate at a picnic table in the shady pavilion. This park deserves 5 stars for its amazing playground.
Sherry B — Google review
This is specifically for the non-motorized boat landing. Well maintained separate launch and parking for the non-motorized boat area. It is a dirt road though so be prepared for your vehicle to get a bit dusty. The lake around the non-motorized area is just covered in weeds for a long ways out which is probably why it's non-motorized. If you are not a dog person or are afraid of dogs be aware that lots of people seem to bring their unleashed dogs to the non-motorized area to run around in the lake despite a sign stating that all dogs must be leashed there, also I've noticed dog droppings towards the edge of the maintained area so be careful where you step. Despite that, I think it's a nice launch to get a canoe or kayak in the water and paddle around.
David N — Google review
The park is very beautiful, and has a beach and large playground. The playground is on the way back to the beach area, which is suitable for many age levels. The. Each area has a lot of shallow space for kids. Our kids always wanted to go way out far, but most places drop off quickly, or have less room for the swim area. This beach actually has a couple hundred feet out of shallow enough for kids to touch. That makes me feel the kids are safer and not a place to panic that they won't be able to touch when they swim way out. The buoys mark off where the ground drops and the swimming are ends, and no watercraft is allowed. There are quite a few picnic tables there as well, with great tree coverage for shade. This is a great place for the hot sunny days when you want relief from the sun, and picnic. This is a great family place to go, without needing to go up North to a cabin. There is also a kids water sand toy feature, but due to Covid-19 it is blocked off for now.
Paul J — Google review
We went to this park with our kids to do cross country skiing and it was perfect. There is a rental office there, so you can rent a full set for 6$. Free on Fridays and some holidays. Very good place and not crowded. Tracks are groomed and there is variety of them. Highly recommend.

Chinese restaurant
Leeann Chin is a delightful counter-serve chain that specializes in contemporary Asian cuisine, featuring an array of dishes complemented by their signature sauces. While some diners have experienced mixed results—like a lunch that felt less than fresh—others rave about the quick and friendly service, even during challenging weather conditions. One customer was pleasantly surprised when they received their meal for free after facing delivery issues during a snowstorm, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction.
I love eating here, when me and my dad are deciding where to eat this is normally are go to spot. The food is mouthwatering, and the staff are really respectful. My favorite dish is the orange chicken with white rice.
Matthew B — Google review
Katrina was friendly. The veggies in both dishes were beyond over cooked. The potstickers were burnt. The floor was filthy. Just after 4:00pm the place should be immaculate, as they had only two people dining in. Place is way over staffed and overpriced.
Honest R — Google review
I received my beef and broccoli bowl and immediately noticed the egg roll was not as crunchy/cooked as it usually is. Then I went to eat the beef and noticed it was all red and had a weird texture. I called the store and they said it was just the sauce but I have not seen any sauce turn JUST the meat red but not the other food in the same dish. I'm thoroughly disappointed.
Caroline N — Google review
Meh. Maybe stopped on an off day. Had lunch around 1:30 on a Tuesday. Service quick and pleasant. Had the Thai coconut chicken with vegetable fried rice and some cream puffs. All tasted as if it had been sitting out for a long time. Didn't eat much of it. Cost $16 with a bottle of water.
Ellen P — Google review
I ordered food through Uber Eats well over an hour before pickup. The app showed “food is ready,” but when I arrived, the staff said nothing was prepared. There was no apology or effort to make the situation right — both the counter staff and the manager seemed dismissive. I was simply told I could request a refund and left without food. It would have made a big difference if they had acknowledged the mistake and offered at least a quick apology or solution. Hopefully, management works on improving communication and customer service so future guests don’t face the same experience.
Kazi I — Google review
Stopped in this afternoon to have a late lunch and I opted for the two half entree meal with fried rice. I chose sesame chicken and firecracker shrimp. As usual the rice was good and the entrees were both hot and tasted great. Two things that I enjoy about Leeann Chin is that I know what to expect and I am rarely, if ever, disappointed as their food quality seems to be consistent. The second thing I enjoy is there hot mustard which is so spicy that it clears your sinuses. When it comes to quick serve Chinese I truly believe that Leeann Chin is better than both Panda Express and Hy Vee and I'm not comparing it with places such as Rainbow or PF Chang's. ***Visited again late last week and while I have no issue with paying extra and realize that food cost has risen, however, the entree portions seem to be getting smaller just look at the photos from last year on the left to last week on the right.
Jim P — Google review
They have some serious cleaning issues here. The soda fountain ice shoot is completely moldy, the nozzles also are covered in mold for the fountain along with there drip tray. I used to work in the food industry and these things should be cleaned daily. I did notify the staff of the mold and they didn't address it at all, just said thanks for letting us know and they didn't go clean it. When they put out new food, they do not cycle out the product, just keep dumping new product on top of the old stuff, so if you ever see stuff that is low, I'd wait, probably has been there fore hours. I would never go back to this location.

Burger King is a renowned fast-food chain that specializes in grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delicious shakes. This particular location stands out for its cleanliness and organization, creating a welcoming atmosphere where the staff is attentive even during peak hours. Diners can enjoy classic favorites like the Whopper, Chicken Fries, and Bacon King—all served hot and fresh. Whether you're looking to grab a quick bite through the drive-thru or prefer to sit down for a more leisurely meal, this spot offers both options seamlessly.
Burger King always delivers a reliable and satisfying experience, and this location is no exception! The restaurant is clean, well-organized, and the staff is welcoming and attentive, even during busy times. The food is consistently hot and fresh, with classic menu options like the Whopper, Chicken Fries, and the Bacon King always hitting the spot. I love how this location offers both dine-in and drive-thru options, making it super convenient for a quick meal or a more relaxed dining experience. The drink station is fully stocked, and the bathrooms are clean, which is a huge plus. One of the best things about this Burger King is how efficient the service is—my order is always correct, and the staff makes sure everything is prepared exactly as requested. I appreciate the occasional seasonal items they offer, like the limited-time burgers and desserts—it keeps the menu fun and interesting! Whether you’re grabbing breakfast on the go, enjoying a lunch break, or stopping by for a late-night snack, this Burger King is a solid choice. Highly recommend for anyone craving classic fast food with great service!

Paisley Park is the former home and recording studio of the iconic musician Prince, located in Chanhassen, Minnesota. This private estate and production complex offers guided tours that allow visitors to explore exhibits showcasing Prince's life and career, as well as his legendary recording studio. Cameras and phones are not allowed on the tour, providing an intimate look into how the music legend lived. The estate also features special exhibitions that add further intrigue to the experience.
A neat place in honor of Prince. There were still a lot of details that were not shared but it was a great educational opportunity. I actually appreciated that they took our phones at the beginning to keep his privacy. Gift shop didn’t have much. That was about the only disappointment.
Megan M — Google review
Took the general tour. Had a lot of information about Prince's life and work. Thought the price was just a little too much for what was offered. For the cost, most places offer some free small items or personalized photos. A photo booth with the ability to put your name and date would almost make it worth it. People were very nice and you could tell everyone were fans.
TD S — Google review
As a diehard Prince fan, this was a special day. 3 hour ultimate experience with Tom. This tour exceeded my expectations by a mile. Really professional and efficient team. And you can see so so much. It’s a bit of a trek from downtown but your tickets in advance and get out there!! You can’t use your phone most of the tour but you can at the end! And eat the cheesecake!!
Christie M — Google review
If you are a true Prince fan THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!! Its not cheap but worth every penny. We only did the VIP 2 hour tour because the 3 hour tour was sold out. The moment you know you desire to experience Paisley Park, you need to get your tickets because they do sell out. We plan to return for the 3 hour tour and next time it will be just me and my husband. We'll leave our teenager at home. He enjoyed it but had no clue who Prince was. Hubby and I will experience it together and have some grown up time. You won't regret it!
DeCarla S — Google review
What an absolutely amazing experience from the moment we arrived. The staff and especially our guide, Tommy, made our experience priceless. His love for Prince and the stories he shared made you feel like he was just around the corner. Can't say enough about our 3 hour experience, the memories will last a lifetime!
Renee M — Google review
It was awesome seeing Prince's creative space. Not allowed to take pictures during the tour until the last room, and that is the Wow! moment. There were 2 photo op moments during our VIP tour in which they took our picture and it was texted to us...that was cool. They did have some of his costumes on display, but it would have been cool to see more of them. Definitely recommend going and seeing.

Visit Paisley Park was amzing for purchase whole group. We were there July 28, 25. We had so much fun and it was magical to experience the whole place. Will definitely visit again. Unforgettable! 🙏🏾❤️🎶🎼🎵
Antonio J — Google review
I did enjoy the Ultimate Experience Tour because I love Prince’s music, and purple has always been my favorite color (I even drive a purple car). That said, while it wasn’t without its highlights, it fell short of feeling like an intimate look into Prince’s life—it focused more on his work than on who he was personally. For comparison, I’ve toured Graceland, which felt much more personable. There, I saw Elvis’s actual living room, den, his parents’ living space, pool, entertainment areas, an extensive display of costumes and cars, and even lunch was included. In contrast, the Prince tour felt rushed, as if it were thrown together quickly just to make money. Whoever approved this setup should reconsider, because showing only two cars and a handful of outfits is not enough—especially for someone known worldwide for his distinctive fashion, shoes, and guitars. It seems like Prince’s team may have worked with the Graceland group on the concept, but unfortunately, it feels like they didn’t invest the same level of effort into his legacy. Keeping the upstairs private doesn’t make sense either—especially since police photos of his bedroom and other areas are already online. Prince is gone, and he clearly loved his supporters, so why hold back? If anyone from Prince’s team sees this, please consider revamping the tour. I’d even be willing to contribute ideas to help make it a true reflection of who he was. As someone who works for a Fortune 500 company, when I was asked about my experience, I had to be honest: I was disappointed.

I appreciate this venue regardless of others' opinions. It holds a special place in my heart as I visit Minnesota to see my daughter, and always make time for a movie here. What sets it apart is its nostalgic ambiance reminiscent of classic cinemas, contrasting with modern establishments where you can only get pizza or oversized sodas with countless coke flavors from vending machines. This theater's atmosphere allows me to relive the joy of being a child again.
I don't care what anyone says. I love this place. When I come to Minnesota to visit my daughter we come here to see a movie. I always tell her I really like this place because it has a old school movie theater feel to it. Not like the new ones that you have to get a pizza or one giant soda from soda machine with a bazillion different coke flavors. The atmosphere gives me a nostalgia feeling of being a kid again. The lady that took care of us was amazing and though my daughter is only 6 she wanted to see the Megan movie. I told her it's too creepy and the lady really helped me out on that one. I will keep coming back as long as they are still open.

Saturday afternoon, Fall. Staff was fantastic; friendly and helpful. Theater was fine, not good, not bad. No hot dogs, nachos, etc. available but they still sell popcorn, soda, candy. Prices high for a matinee. Automated ticket buying. Very clean but a bit dilapidated here and there.
Michael S — Google review
Movie theater has raised prices. The screen is cut off and the top and bottom. Definitely not the best and most comfortable area, it's open, the theater is small and compact, and the screen is small but it's worth it for the price you're paying.
Jake F — Google review
1st, I enjoyed the theater. It was personal, clean, and relaxing. 2. The customer service was great from ordering and receiving my snacks, to the person checking the tickets. I gave a 4 because a 3.5 was not an option. I did not give a 5 star rating for a few reasons. 1. The website did not reflect all shows. Due to this, I used Google to confirm then called to make sure which information was accurate. 3. With show information not reflecting on the website, I was uncertain how to purchase tickets online and I had to go inside to buy way before the showtime to guarantee I had a ticket. 4. There was also no social distancing. I was on the verge of buying two tickets just to make sure there was space... I got lucky because the seat next to me remained open. ***If there was a social distance policy, it was not enforced during ticket sales.*** Overall, I enjoyed myself, except for those inconveniences. Regarding social distancing, as a consumer, it's important to have clarity on guidelines.

This place is the best! Small and quaint. The owners are generally working the snack bar or taking tickets. The theaters are never really packed and if you have loud kids no one seems to mind. I highly recommend for a family out night or a matinee!
Mary C — Google review
The staff is always friendly and the price is right. The tickets prices might be higher than the larger chains, but the cost of snacks here is very reasonable. The popcorn is fantastic, the seats are comfy and sound is great. This place really has the small town charm of local theaters, which why I continue to see movies here.
Al C — Google review
Love this theater! We saw Pets 2 there a few weeks ago when it had just came out. Popcorn tasted AMAZING. Seats were just alright; however, tickets and snacks are priced accordingly. Plan to go there again even though its a but of a drive from my house!
Angie M — Google review
This is a very very small theater. It is never busy. Good place to catch a movie but it is definitely missing the big extra added benefits of a larger theater the seating is not up-to-date with most theaters. The snacks are very expensive given the lower standards of the theaters features but it is a quick and easy way to catch a movie so I'm not complaining

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is a must-visit destination in Chanhassen, known for its combination of dining and entertainment. It is the largest professional dinner theatre in the United States, offering a variety of shows from musicals and movies to stage performances while serving classic American meals. This renowned venue features musical theater, a comedy club, a pub, and more, catering to individuals, couples, and groups.
We went and watched Grease! The cast was phenomenal! The singing was amazing. An absolute top tier show! The dinner was great! My steak was prepared perfectly! The only problem was our server was very forgetful. A lot of the time, our table was out of drinks. When purchasing a refillable cup, I expect refills. Also, our food came and sat there for over 15 minutes before being served. He was nice enough, but clearly very busy. Our tower cake dessert was a tad disheveled, looked like it was dropped. But didn’t affect the taste It’s always a fun time to get to know complete strangers at a table. Our table mates were fun and very friendly! Can’t wait until the next time!

I would totally recommend this to anyone! I saw grass and it was fantastic!! Our waiter was very kind and understanding. She was also very funny! We had such great time. Our food came out fast for the full theater! The show was phenomenal and the only complaint I have is that I can’t listen to their rendition at home! My dessert was especially good too!

My first time here. I'll be honest with you. I wasn't looking forward. That's not really my thing but boy was I wrong. I have completely changed my mind. I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. And the funny part is that the food and drinks are so good that I was just at Texas Roadhouse the day before and had a steak and it wasn't nearly as good as what I got over here. Cannot recommend this place enough. It's entertaining. The staff is amazing. The people in the play are incredibly talented. Never thought I would say it's in a million years but I'm definitely going back again.

Chanhassen dinner theater is an excellent place for a group event, get together with friends, or family. The plays and concerts are always very professionally done. The prices are a little high and the food is not that wonderful. There is definitely room for improvement, but with no competition within the Twin Cities I don’t believe there will be any change. You might be thinking, concerts, really? Oh, yes! Check out the photos of the fun we had!
Lynda D — Google review
I really enjoyed my experience at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres. Dinner first, followed by the show – a very nice setup. The main entrée (Orange Roughy) was delicious, though the salad was quite disappointing, more like bagged veggies with croutons. The show Grease was absolutely fantastic – the cast, the music, and the storyline were all wonderful. We sat close to the stage, which made the evening even more special. 💫 The only thing that surprised me was that taking photos or videos during the performance was not allowed. I’d definitely love to come back!
Yuliia P — Google review
My first time going to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater was in 1999 and I still enjoy going today. The management does such a good job ensuring everything is done properly from the performances to the staff to the food and the drinks. They really do a great job nailing the details. If you prefer your steak medium rare they actually cook it to order and it comes out right. If you order an Aperol spritz it's made properly, not short on the aperol and really delicious. And of course they always provide really fantastic quality performances in an extremely intimate venue. Really enjoyable and tickets are priced very reasonably considering everything that must go into the productions they put on.
J — Google review
We saw Grease; it was a great show, and I would definitely recommend it! The food could have been better, given the cost. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken (it was a bit dry) or the Grasshopper.. I think the ice cream drinks are pre-made in a soft serve machine.
Stephanie L — Google review
Such a fun place to be . Stevie Rays cabaret is a fun comedic experience . I highly recommend it . Gets a little warm down there so dress for 80 degrees if a full house . Also did you know they offer classes so you can learn to do improv too? Bring a drink down from the bar ! Invite friends and get a group rate on tickets ! Audience is encouraged to Shout out suggestions which makes the show even more fun and personalized !

Axel's Restaurant Chanhassen is a sophisticated and charming steakhouse that offers a rustic ambiance combined with elegance. This upscale eatery specializes in delectable charcoal-grilled meats and seafood, providing a delightful dining experience for all. With an extensive wine list to complement the flavorful dishes, patrons can indulge in the perfect pairing. The staff, like Janet, are attentive and friendly, taking the time to explain the diverse menu offerings. The food itself is impressive, satisfying every palate within a group.
Stopped here after touring Paisley Park so I had to order the Purple Rain cocktail. It was delicious, potent and great presentation. The French onion soup was very good, I also had the lobster roll. That was perfectly seasoned and was served with the most delicious, in house sea salt Potato chips. It was more than enough food and I had to bring g home the leftovers. My husband had the Margarita flat bread made with all fresh ingredients. He got the lunch special French onion soup and the prime rib French dip. He loved all of it!
The M — Google review
Update: After having a disappointing first experience at Axel’s I decided to give it another try. This time I tried dinner. Again, the host was extremely friendly and welcoming. The server, Ashley J was very busy bit still took great care of our table. She was friendly, funny, and polite. The food was so much better this time around. Not sure I’ll be back for happy hour but the steak here is definitely worth the stop. I was excited to try Axel’s happy hour but unfortunately it was not a great experience. Walking in, it felt very clicky with the few customers that were present. We sat up at the bar and we were the only people bellied up except for one other customer. The bartender was carrying on a conversation with this customer until the customer finally had to motion to him to greet us. Another employee then greeted us and asked how we were doing, prompting the bartender to turn his head to greet us )he was standing 4 feet from is). His following interactions were very transactional and short. We had to ask for a happy hour menu and then sat in silence until our happy hour appetizers arrived, which took an incredible amount of time considering the place was empty. The deviled eggs had a very odd taste and consistency. The whites were very chewy and rubbery- indicating they were old. The filling was sour and I found a chunk of something white in one of the eggs- it was a hard ball that resembled cheese but it was only in one out of many. Potato skins tasted old and were bone-dry as the cheese topping had every ounce of moisture broiled out of it. The steakhouse sliders were the shining star. The host was great. She was welcoming and friendly. Beyond her, it was like being at a bar in a dystopian future. I overheard that new owners were taking over so I’ll return to give it another shot.

Had a good meal here last night. Not too busy on a Tuesday but our drinks took a while. I love the swing music jazz they play, makes me think of the Rat pack or something. My spicy chicken penne pasta was great, very creamy. The appetizers (walleye fingers, bull balls or something, and fried shrimp) were very bar like. My Caesar salad was good too. Once I finally got it my martini was excellent!

I've ate here many times over the past 8 years and this is one of my favorite restaurants. Presently reduced the menu, but Axel's never disappoints in a clean and inviting restaurant that looks nothing like the interior of a casual theme restaurant. Had steaks, prime rib, soup, salads, and sandwiches. My last visit was Sunday dinner and I ordered an appetizer and a burger. The bacon cheeseburger which is on a brioche bun at $16 was excellent and is cheaper than Houlihan's, TGI Friday's, and the money goes to a local business and not to Houston or Dallas. Finally, went and had Thanksgiving lunch and sat at the bar watching football. Bar service was nothing short of amazing and I have to be honest and say that if you're into mixed drinks this is the place to go because you actually get a true pour of alcohol and the price I think was $7 for a Tito's and orange juice? The Thanksgiving meal started with a salad, and the main course consisted of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and last but not least cranberry sauce and a slice of pie.

My boy friend and I dined here after a whirlwind tour of Paisley Park and thrifting at Goodwill in Chan. I must say that as a girl in the south, I had never had Wall eye, so I was excited! We had a wonderful, gracious server who greeted us promptly. I was not familiar with the pop overs, but she and my better half described them to me. They were lovely as described. One serving of them was enough between us. We shared two salads. One house, one caesar, and a side of the bull bites. They were absolutely delightful. They had 2 dipping sauces which were the homemade horse radish and the bernaisse. We thoroughly enjoyed those and would recommend them! Then, of course we ordered the parmessean crusted wall eye and split that. The piece du resistance was definitely the Bailey's cake. We were hoping to have the apple cake with Ice cream and caramel sauce. But what an incredible dessert this was . Top notch for sure! Our server was as well . 5 star 🌟 service, food and atmosphere! I can see why my better half raved about this place for sure! We definitely intend upon returning here. We saw the ad for Mother's Day brunch . I live in SC. If Mom visits here for a special occasion, we will no doubt bring her and Dad here !

Axel's was a nice evening out. Quit great service, The popovers are tasty 😋, the Filet minion melts in your mouth. Delicious garlic mash and vegetables. Everything was so good. Can't wait to go back. Our server was great she was attentive and fun.

Feels like a old fashion supper club. felt a bit lonely when we arrived but someone eventually greeted us. I was expecting more of a fine dining exp. I heard this place was awesome, just feels like it might be slipping a bit. Good fir a biz meeting maybe not a special occasion.

The restaurant has a private booth for Prince and was supposedly one of his personal favorites. We asked if we could sit in his private booth and they obliged with no problem, that was really cool! Service the entire time was good. The food left a lot to be desired. We ordered a salad for an appetizer and they served the salad and the food at the same time. Food was not really hot. The Ciopppino was supposed to have fish, clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, and crab. There was no fish, crab, or clams. When I asked she said the no longer give pieces they cook it in the broth... French onion soup had untoasted very soggy bread. The beet salad was good. Drinks were horrible. I would go in take pics of the booth and leave...

Food is good! Got their chicken pad Thai, bahn xeo, cream cheese wonton and mango sticky rice. All of them are good, with good service too.

It was our 1st to visit around 4:45 and we were not disappointed! Thai cuisine was a vibrant celebration of flavor and freshness, consistently delivering dishes that awaken the palate! Our leftovers were even better!

I was excited to visit based on quite a few good reviews. I should have known better. Midwestern people do not know Asian food. I have been to Thailand more times than I can count. This food did not resemble anything I have eaten in the "Foodie Capital of The World." The food was bland, under seasoned and extremely sweet. No balance of spicy, salty, sour and sweet that is typical of Thai food. This meal was also expensive. Save your money for a Trip to Thailand. Service was average, but I took my order to go. Restaurant is clean but plain. Not many customers for dinner that night.

I've gotten the drunken noodles and curry with broccoli here and they were both delicious. I line my food spicy, and they made them extra spicy for me. They were amazing! I also got a hot tea and it was served hot and well steeped. Service was prompt and friendly. Very satisfied!

The food was tasty and a family owned business does a great job delivering authentic food. A must try if you are in the area. Be wary of the spicyness levels and don't forget to try the home made coarse mince sausages!

The number five spring rolls are the best in the country along with their fish sauce never found anything better. Their pad pack number 42 is so fresh, vegetables crisp and wonderful flavor. Best Thai we’ve had anywhere and is are absolutely most favorite Thai restaurant.

Na's. Is. Amazing. Easily some of the best food I've ever eaten. My husband and I come here pretty frequently despite not being locals - totally worth the drive every single time! I've loved everything I've tried here, but I get a serious craving for their curries and spring rolls. Excellent staff - the ladies are always pleasant even when the joint is packed. If I could give a million stars, I would! If you haven't been, I don't know what you're waiting for. :)

Sandwich shop
Jimmy John's is a popular counter-service chain that specializes in delicious sub and club sandwiches, complemented by their signature potato chips. Despite occasional staffing challenges during busy hours, the team remains impressively friendly and efficient. Many customers appreciate the convenience of online ordering, although some have experienced minor hiccups with customizations not saving properly. However, most agree that the sandwiches are consistently fresh and flavorful, making it a go-to spot for quick meals—whether you're indulging or sticking to healthier choices.
Seems some people haven't had good luck here, but I thankfully did. I personally haven't been into this store in over 5 years and cant truly speak to the instore experience, but I couldnt skip rating the "atmosphere" part of rating but my last time in was a good experience even though its been a long time. I ordered delivery yesterday to try out their new toasted sub and it was fantastic. Both sandwiches I ordered were made very well and whoever made it definitely did not skimp on ingredients as both my sandwiches were packed. Everything tasted fresh and the bread was really high quality as usual. Really happy with the food so, ill be returning for sure.
Markram08 — Google review
I am a loyal Jimmy John’s rewards customer and all of the locations (wayzata, Chanhassen, Hopkins ect) close to where I live have been extremely slow, poor quality sandwiches and most of the time terrible customer service. I hope they’ve dropped the “freaky fast” statement as it typically takes about 10+ minutes to order in person at these locations. I am finally writing a review because my “Turkey Tom” had literally one slice of turkey and I’m so disappointed I paid about $10.00 for basically bread. See photo. Please do better, you used to be a go-to favorite for me and I’m always let down every time I go.
Victoria S — Google review
Great sandwich. Lives up to the expectation of a Jimmy John’s sandwich. I would love to give it five stars but I find it very odd when people argue with me about how to pronounce my name. Dude, I live with my name, I’m pretty sure I know how to pronounce it.
Elle R — Google review
We ordered two sandwiches and two teas. An hour and a phone call later they were dropped off. When i called and asked kindly regarding time of drop off after 45 minutes the guy who answered hung up on me and then the girl was incredibly rude. I tipped 20% for over $41 for mediocre sandwiches and rude service. I did nothing to deserve snotty attitude from their employees. Jimmy Johns is off my list of places from which i will order.
Amy B — Google review
I don’t know why they even say freakishly fast. This place is sluggishly slow. They must have had some online order they were preparing for, because nobody was even in the store and they just continued making other subs and ignoring making mine.
Uncle A — Google review
What I ordered versus what I got… minimal sandwich toppings and they did not include the hot peppers that were requested to be added.
Courtney R — Google review
Freaky fast, freaky good. I love ordering from this location. Especially last minute. I have ordered from them a hundred times over the years and my order has always been correct, never late, they follow any delivery instructions always. The sandwiches have the best flavor. They taste so fresh! The options are fantastic whether you want to totally indulge or watch your diet, there is something for everyone. My child has dietary restrictions and the website and mobile app make it easy to avoid any issues with allergies. I am a JJ customer for life.
Anica P — Google review
Even though they were short staffed, busy rush hour, everyone was super friendly. AND STILL FAST! Thank you so very much!! We ordered online and picked up to eat in. Online order note: Something I noticed was when I ordered a custom sandwich, went to check out, then went back to edit, the system lost all of my edits on my sandwich. :( My daughter's sandwich was the way we ordered it. Mine was placed as a regular #1 and I had wanted some items added/removed. Totally not the stores fault, it is a flaw with the way the website is coded. Sharing in case this happens to you. Remember to go back and re-add yoyr customization to the sandwich.

Overpriced garbage with snack size potato chip bags at inflated prices. Want a real cheesesteak in Chanhassen? Go to tono were they also have French fries included at no additional charge.
Jay P — Google review
Jersey Mike’s in Chanhassen is decent, but a bit hit or miss depending on the day. The subs are generally fresh and flavorful—especially when you get them Mike’s Way—but consistency with service and portion sizes can vary. On my last visit, the staff seemed overwhelmed and it took longer than expected to get my order, even though the store wasn’t very busy. My sandwich tasted good, but there wasn’t as much meat or toppings as usual, which was disappointing for the price. The restaurant was clean and the staff was polite, but the overall experience didn’t stand out compared to other locations. It’s still a solid spot for a quick bite if you’re craving a sub, but there’s room for improvement in terms of speed and consistency.

Fast service! I tried the #56 Big Kahuna Cheese steak. It had grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapenos, and Of Course.. EXTRA melted white american cheese!😁 I really enjoyed it! I did feel like it had extra jalapenos as well! But that's okay👍🏽 I've only been here once, so the only thing I was wondering about was the sub numbering!!! Please, I'd love an explanation of this!!!

Tried the new nacho cheesesteak bowl, it's bomb!! I'll definitely be ordering this again. It's a fun change up from the usual #17 philly cheesesteak.
Michael W — Google review
The restaurant was pretty messy and dirty when we arrived. I heard their subs were good so we stop in. Their meat was cut fresh to order and ingredients were good, but not a lot of toppings offered. They rosemary parmesan bread was amazing!! It was also $16 for 2 mini subs and a pop, which I thought was a lot. The bathrooms also very dirty. We did not stay to eat, instead we ate in our car. Overall, I was pretty disappointed and would not go back. Only reason it got 2 stars from me was because of the meat and bread.

This was my first time trying Jersey Mike’s and I had the #8 sandwich and boy was it amazingly tasty! I loved the combination of meats and various toppings—so good! Plus the staff was amazingly kind and friendly and got us checked out very quickly. I definitely will be going back in the future! 😋
