Aquarium
Nature & Parks
Maui Ocean Center, The Aquarium of Hawaii, is a family-friendly 5-acre aquarium that offers a variety of species, including a tide pool and shark tank. Situated in Maalaea, it has become a popular attraction since opening in the late 1990s. Visitors can explore Hawaii's ocean ecosystem through interpretive exhibits, a 240-degree view tunnel, and one of the largest collections of live Pacific corals.
Worth a visit! This is a place to be informed about sea life, whales, turtles and all kind of fishes and corals. There is a lot of information displayed, too. You find many aquariums with the most impressive glass tunnel where you can see sharks, rays and other big fishes next to you, above and underneath. Another awesome place is to be informed about humpback whales. Don’t miss the 3D cinema thinking you’re under water next to the whales. You easily can spend 3h here to enjoy your time!

My fiancé and I, along with our friends, purchased the couple’s package for morning admission and a 3 course lunch. We had a lot of fun learning about all of the animals and took some incredible pictures. We got to pet starfish and a sea cucumber. We took selfies with majestic sea turtles. We had a lot of fun seeing sharks in the viewing tunnel. The humpback whale 3D video was very moving. Our lunch and drinks were delicious and we had a lot to talk about after seeing the exhibits. It was a great double date activity. The staff was great too, thanks so much!

The Maui Ocean Center was a great experience. I went with my sisters and niece. Kama'aina discount $29 adult regular price is in the $50 range as of October 2025. We stopped at the little "pools" where you can see many different types of ocena life. While they do have one where you can touch, I don't recommend that personally out of concern for the sea life, so we just look. Loved the underwater tunnel with all the sharks and fish and even the guy cleaning the tunnel in his dive gear. I suggest you take the time to enjoy the 3d experience which in October featured the humpback whales. No payment required for the 3d glasses! We had already eaten so we didnt get anything to eat. Many great exhibits and very educational. This is great for families with kids. Wear comfortable shoes and a lot is outside so take that I to consideration for clothing and sunscreen etc.
Meek K — Google review
We were lucky enough to take a Behind the Scenes tour of the center, then spent time looking at all of the exhibits. It was amazing seeing all the conservation efforts at this facility. Staff was incredible, knowledgeable and engaging. It was pricey but I would do it again and again. If you have little ones, it's very conducive to entertaining kids.
Cathi B — Google review
Our visit here was very nice. The coral displays are the best I have ever seen. The fish and turtles are awesome. I learned so much about Hawaiian history and culture during my visit. It was a lovely way to spend more than a few hours on a day where the sea was too rough and the wind was too blustery to be outside at the beach.
Blanca R — Google review
I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at the Maui Ocean Center, which I believe is an absolute must-see if you ever find yourself in Maui. The variety of sea life on display is simply amazing. I was particularly captivated by the sea turtles; they are such cool creatures and truly mesmerizing to watch! Each aquarium was filled with interesting fish, and I can't help but mention how friendly the staff were—they added so much to the overall experience with their knowledge and enthusiasm. The atmosphere of the center was special as well, with everyone there contributing to a warm and inviting environment. Plus, I found that the admission price was quite reasonable for all the incredible exhibits and experiences. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, I highly recommend making a stop at the Maui Ocean Center. It’s well worth the visit!
TheMrDesertjoe — Google review
we LOVED the aquarium. It has so many fish. The grounds and exhibits were clean. Perfect amount of walking for small kids. They also have a cool 3-D theater that the kids really enjoyed. We normally try to avoid gift shops, but The gift shop was wonderful and it seemed fairly priced with some very cool Hawaiian gifts. Very large selection. $50+ per person was not cheap and have to pay for parking but it was worth the visit. $5 cheaper if you buy day before online.
KC M — Google review
I’m from O’ahu and our aquarium is very small. So, coming to this one in Maui, very nice change of scenery. There is so much more to look at. I was very surprised how big the tanks are and how vibrant the fish were. Definitely would recommend visiting here. It’s worth the $$.

Indulge in a delectable dinner, premium open bar, and captivating Polynesian dance performances while cruising along the stunning coastline. Marvel at panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Molokini, Lanai, and Molokai as you witness a mesmerizing Maui sunset.
Awesome crew and captain! They provided breakfast, put us on some awesome fish and turtles, were so nice and made us feel comfortable. Then we had a great lunch with really good food and open bar. We also really liked the model they use of not overbooking. 40 people is the limit and it made for a great experience! Highly recommend!

We booked a snorkel tour with Pride of Maui, and it ended up being our favorite activity on our entire trip! While we were leaving our rental van, my older daughter accidentally hit her head pretty hard and wasn’t feeling well at first. The staff on board were so kind and went above and beyond to make sure she was okay. The crew, Jason, Patrick and the others, were fantastic. Great to talk with and made the experience a 10/10. The snorkeling was amazing- we saw a needle nose fish, an eel and lots more. The tour also had a staff member out on a paddle board watching over the snorkelers which as a Mom with kids in the water, I loved. And I have to mention the cookies at the end- SO delicious (maybe homemade?) Can’t recommend them enough! Thank you Pride of Maui! Pro tip: Don’t waste time circling the marina for parking. Park by Starbucks and walk down-it’s an easy, short walk and so much less stressful.
Lisa F — Google review
Our snorkeling tour was on 9/10/25. Everything was amazing from the brand new yacht, the friendly staff and delicious breakfast/lunch. There was an open bar and the staff was very knowledgeable about the ocean/sea life. Also, the staff was very helpful with helping me put on my snorkeling gear. The yacht is new, spacious and bathrooms are clean. We had an excellent experience and I highly recommend.

Our snorkeling excursion to Molokini Crater and Turtle Town was nothing short of exceptional. The crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life were matched only by the outstanding service from the crew—Caden, Alexandria, and Sienna. Their professionalism, expertise, and genuine hospitality elevated the experience, transforming a great outing into an extraordinary one. This is an adventure I would recommend without hesitation.

(Note: I booked our trip through Viator and have posted this review there as well) We had a wonderful day on the Pride of Maui! The crew on our boat really worked their fins off to make sure we had a wonderful experience from the minute we stepped on board. All our meals were included and we really appreciated the hot lunch after being in the water. We had two stops; one at Molokini Island where our guide kept an eye on our well being, identified fish for us and cheerfully took our picture. Our next stop was the "Turtle Car Wash" (I don't know the exact name of this spot, lol). Again, our experience was important to the crew and one of them went in the water first to verify there were turtles present to see. After our turtle swim it was time to head back to the harbor and we were provided with adult drinks or sodas of our choice. I was especially pleased with how helpful the crew was with my husband's bout of seasickness, providing him with ginger drink and ginger chews and directing him to the rear deck. Thank you Pride of Maui for a great day!

We attended the Sunset Cruise with the Pride of Maui. It was a fantastic catamaran experience. We loved the relaxed vibe of the boat and crew- we loaded onto the boat and sat in beanbag chairs right on the net of the boat to look straight out into Maui's beautiful waters. There were benches with tables that were easier to access as well. The team was so friendly and attentive- they made all sorts of drinks and brought them straight to us as we cruised. Even without wind for our sail, the cruise around Maui was perfect. When dinner came we had a decent meal with a variety of options and that included a brownie for dessert and a glass of champagne during the sunset. You do load from the beach and take off your shoes so you will wade into the surf for about 1 min up to your knees, but I thought it added to the charm and feel of a boat ride around the island.
Jamie C — Google review
What an awesome trip! The entire crew on Pride of Maui were fantastic, they really made this feel like a luxury trip with top of the line service. The boat (including bathrooms) were pristinely clean, the captain consistently gave updates on water and wind conditions so you knew when to move about or put away your hats, there were sunscreen reminders, drink offerings while you sat and a tutorial and tips for newbie snorkelers. We saw soooo many fish, tons of turtles, octopuses, and even dolphins while snorkeling. I will absolutely be including the Pride of Maui in all my future trips and recommend you do the same!
Katie — Google review
Nice new boat! Not overcrowded at all. Wonderful food for breakfast & lunch. The crew was great! They helped me prevent becoming sea sick & one of my kids who was stung by a jellyfish. The crew also took pictures of families while snorkeling & took some really cool photos/videos underwater. They definitely took us to some great spots! Very knowledgeable & you can tell they care about their passengers. My kids had a blast. I highly suggest this snorkeling cruise!

Nestled in the charming town of Maalaea, Maui Golf & Sports Park is a vibrant amusement center that promises fun for all ages. With two exciting 18-hole miniature golf courses, thrilling bumper boats, and a challenging climbing wall, it’s an ideal spot to unleash your competitive spirit. After enjoying a round of mini-golf or bouncing high on the X-Treme Trampoline, you can easily explore nearby attractions like the Maui Ocean Center and beautiful beaches.
We came here on a whim before a snorkel tour. The price is good considering it is all day play with reentry allowed,. Very well kept and nice grounds. Even the bathrooms were clean and tidy. Two courses to play and shave ice and other things available. Plenty of parking available too. The sweet girl working was feeding the fish as we were leaving and let my son help feed them. So nice :)

Great mini golf courses, 2 to choose from. Bumper boats and trampoline. Close to airport, great place to kill some time and have some fun!
Sarah M — Google review
It was fun, and aesthetically appealing. The only reason why I have it for four stars is bc it's not open in the evening. I do recommend mornings during the summer months. Oh and they have a spin the wheel at each hole and that gave the game a mix up and kept us engaged.
Outlaw G — Google review
The only Minigolf court on the island. Well done courses. We had a lot of fun to play there
Michel R — Google review
Family of 8. We had a fun time. Challenging. We only did the mini golf. Unfortunately, the Sweet and Sour place was closed and only open on the weekend. We were looking forward to shaved ice and Dole whips after.
Rachel R — Google review
Took our kids aged 7 and 9. They did every activity and had a blast. The staff was super kind and gave plenty of time for climbing, bouncing and bumper boats. Great value considering other activities on the island are $150-500/person for 2 hours.
Andy — Google review
This is a challenging course. Enjoyed the other activities also including bumper boats, trampoline, and climbing wall.
Whitney S — Google review
Was a great mini golf place, with 2-18hole courses for one price. They also have bumper boats, rock wall, and trampoline ride/jumper thingy, for additional fees. Bundle prices available. 🥰😘 It was busy with childrens parties. Not so much on the golf course.

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with the Four Winds Molokini Maui Snorkel Tour, where you can witness the majestic migration of humpback whales from Alaska during a 3.5-hour excursion aboard the Four Winds II catamaran. Choose between morning and afternoon tours that promise either a serene or exhilarating experience, complete with a delicious BBQ meal.
This was the best boat experience my family and I ever had. The snorkeling was fantastic but the whale watching was a once in a lifetime. We were extremely lucky to have three whales put on a fantastic show for us but it was the staff that also made it unbelievable. The Captain knew exactly how to position the boat so everyone could see. The rest of the staff was radiating positive energy. It was hard to not be excited! Thank you Four Winds for a once in a lifetime experience!
Heather T — Google review
We just had the best day on the Four Winds. The staff was awesome, and the food was amazing! All 6 of us were very impressed. The weather conditions were perfect and we got to spend a lot of time in the water snorkeling, or going down the slide off the back of the boat. Highly recommend this company!
Marlee S — Google review
5+ stars all the way!!! Our family of 4 (me, hubby, 14 year old son and 12 year old daughter) had the best time on the AM snorkel trip to Molokini on Aug 24th. The Four Winds III boat is immaculate. Spotless and plenty of space for all. My family loved the slide! The entire crew is amazing. We felt safe at all times. Ally the photographer was fantastic too! Paying extra for this tour is worth it! Note: to see more colorful fish, you have to swim close to the crater/reefs.
Kristine H — Google review
The fish and pork tacos were absolutely delicious! A unique way to stand out among other deli sandwich trips. We were lucky and saw a rare monk seal sighting! Also a few late season whales at the end of April way off in the distance. This is our second snorkeling trip and glad we picked this one for Maui! Always a highlight of the trip-- don't miss out on getting out on the water!

Did the morning snorkel tour and it was amazing! There were 6 of us - my parents, my husband and I, and our 3 and 8 year old girls. We all really enjoyed it! The float with the viewing window was perfect for my 3 year old so she could be in the water “snorkeling” too. She also really loved the glass bottom part of the boat. My husband and oldest enjoyed the slide. Everyone was very helpful and the food was delicious! So thankful we found this company, it was a great day for everyone in the fam!

Smooth stable ride, plenty of seats in both shade or sun. Glass bottom room with a bench. Snuba, snorkels, fins, wetsuits, floatation devices available. Photographs available in and out of the water. Boat was spacious, very clean, two restrooms. Food was plentiful and well prepared. 7 am tour for 5 hours to Molokini crater. Very enjoyable. Nice music at medium volume. We had a great time. I highly recommend the Four Winds boat sailing out of Maalaea harbor. The crew was first rate, and plentiful. Always ready to help or answer any questions from the guests.
Debora N — Google review
This was such an amazing experience! While all the other boats were squishing people on, we had plenty of room to relax. It wasn’t crowded. We were greeted with coffee and breakfast! We had a view of countless whales the entire way there and back! The snorkeling was beautiful and clear. There were so many fish. We were able to get some amazing video and photos! Once we were back on the boat I had some delicious fish tacos and Chardonnay! You just can’t beat this trip!!!

Our family embarked on an unforgettable 3-hour excursion with Four Winds Molokini Maui Snorkeling, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we set sail, the crew and Captain exuded professionalism and warmth, making us feel right at home. As we snorkeled and swam in the crystal-clear waters just off Maui bay, we were amazed by the vibrant marine life. The crew members were right there with us in the water, guiding us and pointing out fascinating fish and majestic turtles. Their presence made us feel incredibly safe and confident, knowing we were in expert hands. The Captain’s knowledge of the area was evident as he navigated us to the perfect snorkeling spots, where the winds and currents were minimal. This allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the serene beauty of the ocean and its rich, diverse habitat. The was good food and drinks in between norkling The 3 hours we spent were plentiful, giving us ample time to soak in the experience and create lasting memories with the family and crew. A heartfelt thank you to Four Winds Molokini Maui Snorkeling for providing us with a lifetime experience that we will cherish forever. Hats off to the entire team for their exceptional service and dedication to ensuring our family adventure was nothing short of magical!

Long story short, these guys are absolutely killing it! Would recommend to everyone! I was running late with a group of 5 in total, traffic was not moving at all. Captain Erwin went out of his way to keep in contact with me and he even held the boat! I know this is a one-off experience, but it was a special night for us and the entire crew went FAR out of their way to make sure we were treated like royalty. Thanks so much for helping to put a punctuation point on our vacation! Loved being with you and your crew so much we joined you again, this time for snorkeling. Once again, everything was amazing! You really helped us make some memories that we'll be talking about for years to come. If anyone is on the fence about booking a trip, just do it. There's no way you'll be disappointed.

We were recommended this excursion from one of the valet guys at our hotel. It was AMAZING. From the food to the drink service to the eucalyptus towels, it was a luxury charter no doubt. The crew was amazing, food tasted great, and views and 5 hours were so amazing. We even got a picture with sea turtles and saw so many fish! I’m normally a nervous nelly but this was a BLAST!
Naudia A — Google review
Not worth the money. We went for a dinner cruise - the food was below average and probably packed ahead of time (not fresh). You can find way better food on the island and I think a 2.5 hour cruise is not worth 500$ when it does not provide anything special with a mediocre food experience. Being on water was nice and the unlimited Bar was the only reason I added another star. Not worth it for me. Maybe their other cruises would be a better value and provide a better experience.
Eddie G — Google review
We went on the sunset sip & sail during our honeymoon and we LOVED it!! The boat is lovely, and the staff are so knowledgeable, friendly & accommodating. The drinks were very tasty and it's open bar! They served a TON of yummy food which far exceeded expectations. We were expecting maybe some cheese and crackers, but ended up being fed basically a full dinner. There was a professional photographer on board who we ended up buying photos from because they turned out great. Would 100% sail again with Ali'i Nui. If you're considering doing an outing with them, do it.

My two friends and I joined the Turtles & Tacos snorkel sail with Alii Nui, and by the end of the day we were so impressed that we immediately booked a sunset sail for the very next evening. The experience was outstanding from start to finish — the crew, the boat, and the snorkeling were all top-notch. Captain Tim and his crew were phenomenal; everyone went out of their way to get to know us and make sure we were taken care of, always going the extra mile in every possible way. The food on the sunset sail was incredible, and the open bar on both trips was a huge plus. There isn’t a single thing I would change about this experience. If (hopefully when) I return to Maui, I would book again without hesitation. I can’t stop talking about what an unforgettable experience my friends and I had — the perfect ending to a great trip. Huge thanks to Captain Tim and his fantastic crew!
Emily R — Google review
An unforgettable experience from start to finish! From the moment Corey picked us up right at our villa, the level of service was exceptional and his knowledge of Maui’s history was entertaining and fun. Every member of the crew went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Johanna showed genuine care for our son’s severe allergy, ensuring his safety throughout the day. Lila captured every special moment with incredible talent and warmth, giving us memories we’ll cherish forever. Captain Ryan not only navigated the yacht with ease but also made the kids' day by letting them take the helm, an experience they’ll never forget. Kat was wonderfully patient and kind, helping our anxious daughter feel comfortable in the water and even brave enough to go down the slide. Garrett was kind, personable, and even gave our sunglasses a good polish. And Cristobal kept the mood light with his great humor and energy. The food was delicious, the drinks were refreshing, and every detail of the day was clearly planned with care and thoughtfulness. We left feeling the true Ohana spirit of Hawaii and can’t wait to return. Worth every penny and then some! We can’t say enough good things and if you have any hesitations, call their number to have an incredible overview by Michelle. A’hui hou! 🌸

Sailed yesterday and had an unforgettable experience. We did the premium package. We were treated royally! From the booking experience to Cat's attentive service our trip was first rate. If I could give it a 10 I would. The crew was professional, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone's needs and skills. The Crater snorkel was a once in a lifetime experience. Don't think twice book with this charter

We did the Turtles & Tacos with our family of 5 and it was amazing!! Carl’s Jr. is a popular fast-food chain offering a wide selection of stacked burgers, meal combos, and indulgent shakes. Customers appreciate the dual concept with The Green Burrito, where the 'Green Burrito' dish is highly recommended. The appetizers menu features favorites like 'Jalapeno Poppers' and 'Fried Zucchini,' while the Oreo Milkshake stands out as a must-try beverage.
We were on a spur of the moment drive to go up Haleakala and stopped to get some nourishment for the trip. Unlike some other fast food places Carl’s Jr serves lunch in the morning so we were able to get what we wanted and then head out. Oh, and Raven is an excellent member of the team at Carl’s.
Jack D — Google review
I recently visited Carl's Jr. and while there were a few areas that could use some improvement, I was genuinely impressed by the staff and the service provided. The team was outstanding – they greeted me with warm smiles and were incredibly friendly throughout my visit. Their prompt service and attention to detail made my dining experience quite pleasant. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, which I appreciated as a first-time visitor. They were quick to serve and made sure our order was accurate and to our liking. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit lacking, and the food, while decent, didn't quite meet my expectations given the hype around the brand. It was good, but not great. I think with a bit of tweaking in the kitchen and some updates to the dining area, Carl's Jr. could really shine, especially with such a stellar team at the helm. In summary, the excellent service and friendly staff are the main highlights at this Carl's Jr. location. They certainly deserve recognition for their efforts and professionalism.

Maui's sole location is in the middle of nowhere, AKA Maalaea, right next to the Maui Ocean Center. They're attached to a gas station and convenience store with indoor seating. MENU: This location has a very limited menu. Certain options listed on the website are not available. Call before heading down. FOOD: The Big Carl This was honestly one of the best cheeseburgers I've eaten from a fast-food place on Maui. It's almost up there with the Double Double from In N Out. Almost. Original Six Dollar Thickburger The 1/2 lb., single patty burger had great flavor and is topped with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Super Star with Cheese Very similar in size to Jack In The Box's Ultimate Cheeseburger. The taste was a cross between a Quarter Pounder and Whopper. It was loaded with pickles, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce, then lathered with mayo, and their "special sauce" which tasted like mustard/ketchup. Wow, I was FULL after eating this beast! Crisscut Fries Seasoned waffle fries. Good flavor but not as tasty as JITB's version. SERVICE: Semi-fast and friendly. OVERALL: Super pricey!

We couldn’t believe that the Steak and Lobster was still a$30 special. The best and cheapest we have ever had. The fish was outstanding. Servers were so attentive it may annoy some people. We loved it so much we came back another time towards the end of our 10 day stay.
Mark B — Google review
So this is a tough one to review. On one hand I like Carl's Jr. On the other hand it's in a gas station, which make the food experience harder to enjoy. It has the advantage of being near the Aquarium and the Minigolf entertainment park, which is why it gets the four stars because it becomes the most affordable food option of the three.

Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger with extra bacon. Order a side of onion rings, add a couple extra rings to your burger and a little extra bbq sauce. One of the best burgers on Maui. And you get the full meal (with drink) for around $16.

Nestled by the picturesque Maalaea Harbor, the Historic Maalaea General Store & Restaurant is a charming spot that combines convenience with delightful dining. This quaint cafe offers an array of food options, from refreshing drinks at the espresso bar to savory deli delights like Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos and Chicken Katsu.
This was a little gem I found while traveling in Maui! We stopped in for lunch and it was one of the best lunches I’ve had on the island. My husband tried the Loco Moco since it’s a native dish to Hawaii. This place knows how to make it well and uses all fresh, local ingredients. I got the tofu deconstructed plate and it was amazing! I’m not vegan, but enjoy vegan dishes and this was honestly the best one I’ve ever had:-). The pickled vegetables are made in house and were so fresh with a mouth watering taste. The tofu was perfectly done and it was topped with a vegan wasabi mayo they make in house. I’d go back to try any of the dishes, meat or meatless! This place is small, but does have a full service bar and cooler with other beverages. If you’re looking for a quick, fresh bite to eat, this is the place to go! They have sweets and bakery items as well. Definitely worth the trip!

A lovely and welcoming store that accommodates one of the best if not the best breakfast restaurant on the island. We enjoyed a wonderful everthing bagel breakfast with fresh coffee. We didn't try any lunch options as we were on our way to the airport. They offer vegan options too. We sat inside but there is outdoor seating on the covered patio available too. Nice harbor view is an add-on.

What a gem! The pancakes here should be world famous, so this is my attempt at beginning that path to stardom. Found this place online, it wasn't a chain and they had breakfast was our only search criteria. Then they brought the pancakes out and they are HUGE! Couples can easily share them, but won't want to, they're very tasty as well. Our server was wonderful, offering us extra syrup and utensils for our to-go box. Great find!

I was here years ago when they still sold their heavenly mushroom burger... ATMOSPHERE: It's still the original building though I have never been in before today. Open-air with no a/c. There are seats & tables and counter seating on the spacious and covered front entry lanai with views of the harbor, main drive and coast guard building. There is a small enclosed room off to the side with more tables and chairs if you want more of an indoor effect, still open-air and with a tiny window. There is a tiny seating area inside by the front bay window that can seat 3 at best. They're still mainly a general store, so you can grab things like beer, liquor, wine, groceries, canned goods, OTC meds, etc. The takeout counter was the main purpose of my visit. They offer a pretty extensive coffee menu, also breakfast items, fresh ahi pokē, lunch sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, quesadillas, burgers and tacos. FOOD: Mushroom Burger Wow. THE BEST mushroom burger I've eaten so far, but unfortunately no longer sold. The burger was thick, hot, very tasty and juicy and had that hard to find broiled flavor. It's topped with Swiss, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, lots of sliced pickles and mushrooms. I loved the bun! It was hinged on one side which helped the burger stay in perfect shape while eating it. Fries are optional shoestring and were delicious and full of flavor. SERVICE: Everyone was friendly. You order your food at the counter and pay at the main register. OVERALL: The word of mouth and reviews are all true! I can't wait to try their other selections.

Stopped in for breakfast before our Trilogy tour – very low key diner with delicious food. I finally broke down and something with Spam in it ( , it was really tasty. Good coffee and friendly service. If the retail part of the store happens to be closed, they’ll gladly open it for you. Great spot to grab a bite if you’re traveling between Kihei and Lahaina.

My husband and I just ate here and had the most pleasant experience. The vegan options are the best tasting we have had in Maui. He had the tofu scramble with brown rice and I had the vegan tofu poke deconstructed with brown rice. Both were absolutely delicious ! I also had the super smoothie. I appreciated the fact that it was a fresh drink with no added sugar. The outside of the place may throw you off but definitely go inside because the quality food and friendly service is well worth it. The food was so flavorful we also ordered dinner to go. The inside is comfortable and kind of cozy. Outdoor seating options are also available.

A little pricey and it took some time to get the food even though it was not busy but a fun stop. I am apparently not only not a fan of Spam, but I don’t like Spanish sausage either … which tasted like spam. So, sticking with bacon next time. Super delicious breakfast sandwich but for the price I would probably find another place to eat.

Havens Harborside Fish & ChopHouse is a spacious and inviting restaurant located by the harbor, offering both cozy corners for intimate dinners and ample space for larger gatherings. The menu features a variety of options to please everyone at the table, including charbroiled steaks and clams steamed with sake and Portuguese sausage. Renovated from the inside out, this stylish harbor-front establishment has garnered praise for its great food, management, and service.
Went for Happy hour and really enjoyed everything we ordered. The manager and wait staff were nice and attentive. Loved both cocktails on the happy hour menu especially the margarita. Perfect for those that like a little spice in their life. Will definitely come back to try their dinner menu bc it looks delicious!

This was my second visit to Haven’s, and once again, I had a great experience. On my first visit, I had the Smashburger — easily one of the best I’ve had. On our return, we went for the Tomahawk steak and scallops. Both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is a standout, with a beautiful view of the harbor at sunset that really elevates the experience. Service was excellent — the staff is friendly and attentive, checking in often. The only small suggestion there is to give guests a bit more space between check-ins, as too many can interrupt the flow of conversation between guests. The drink selection was solid. Cocktails and wines were well chosen, and I really liked the beer selection — a nice change from the usual big-brand lineup. I’d still love to see more non-alcoholic options added down the line. If I had one other note, it’s that prices feel a bit high for a newer restaurant, especially compared to some well-established spots on Maui. That said, the quality is clear, and Haven’s has real potential. Wishing the team all the best — I’m looking forward to seeing how they grow.

We didn't have any reservations to this beautiful restaurant, but we're able to be assisted as walk in guests. The ambience is outstanding. The view can't beat overlooking the harbor, South Kihei and of course beautiful Haleakala. The food is beyond Ono (delicious.) The flavors, food presentation as we locals like to say, "Broke the Mouth!" The friendly services from the hostess, our waiter Scott, the manager 100% extraordinary. I truly recommend this establishment a must try. ❤️🤙

Great spot in Maalaea Bay! Nice big patio overlooking the marina with stylish decor without being pretentious. We stopped in for happy hour (3-4:30pm daily) and enjoyed beers and mai tais (dare I say better than the Monkeypod mai tai) and fish tacos which were up there in the top fish tacos of all time (huge chunk of fish, made with pacific blue marlin). Our server Tim was very attentive and could sell sand to the beach, which was why we stayed for a second drink. Vibe was nice and relaxed, Maalaea can be such a ghost town but the restaurant was maybe like 1/3 full on a Saturday around 4pm.

We chose to have an early Mother’s Day dinner here before returning home to Molokaʻi and we are more than happy we did. Austin was our server and Lance was the Manager that evening and all the staff were so kind, professional, and answered all our questions lol. Us locals get plenty questions. The food was mean! We had the short ribs that you could cut with a fork! Lobster mac and cheese, scallops, super soft steak, and the oyster shooters was the best I ever had, hands down!! I not even kidding. I recommend Haven’s and cannot wait til I go back to Maui to eat there again. Go, you won’t regret it!!

Haven’s Harborside was a great choice, as Google suggested! It’s located in front of the marina, which gives it a very different vibe from the other restaurants we visited in Maui. Our server, Mick, was simply spectacular, recommending wine, dishes, and desserts. Honestly, we didn’t have to see the menu and could’ve gone with his suggestions. Every dish was delicious and beautifully plated. Notable mentions are the crispy Kanpachi Roll (Mick’s reco), the bone-in New York Steak, the Diver Scallops, and the Malasadas. If you haven’t tried them, don’t miss the chance. They’re some kind of a donut with guava jelly injected as they come from the drier. Simply delicious. We had an absolute blast.

One of our BEST meals of the entire trip! If you have the opportunity to dine here, do yourself a favor and make it happen! Riley was our server, and he was great! We shared the Caesar salad, wagyu croquettes and rice cake to start which was all 10 out of 10! For the main dishes my husband got the Bucket, I got the smash burger and we split the truffle rissoto. Probably best rissoto I've ever tasted! I do want to mention during our time in Maui we also stayed on the Wailea side at the Grand Wailea Waldorf Astoria and dined at some of the top restaurants over there and at the Four Seasons. Havens beats any of those fancy hotel restaurants by a long shot! Quality food, quality people, quality place!

Nestled next to the Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea, Seascape Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in island-inspired seafood dishes while soaking up stunning water views. This charming eatery offers a delightful menu featuring fresh options like the Seascape Cobb Salad with Cajun Mahi Mahi and Crab Cake, as well as hearty sandwiches that are perfect after exploring the aquarium.
We did the $35 3 course meal offered when buying our aquarium tickets and it was really great food. I didn't know what to expect but the dish we had was top notch, one of the best meals we have had here. I think the value for what we paid was really good! A lot of people complaining about the pricing, but you're on a beach front restaurant in Maui, not sure what people expect. Also had a cocktail which was delicious and really reasonable. Highly recommend the 3 course meal option!

Had the fresh catch of the day fish sandwich, it was absolutely incredible! Also, the purple rain adult beverage was delicious and came in a really cute tiki cup! Sitting outside right by the water it was Soo good! Definitely will go there again when I'm back on Maui!

Was recommended after our helicopter tours. Stop at the Maui Ocean Center. It is attached to the aquarium. Ordered rhe Canada's (Cathch of the day) which was Onaga (snapper) with shrimp and taro potatoes. It was amazing. We also ordered the tempura lobster tail. Different but still excellent. All the food was cooked to perfection! I'm not a shrimp fan but these were cooked perfectly! Our server Caysha was extremely nice and helpful. Food came out quick. It is outdoor seating so you have to deal with flies and birds and an occasional chicken but it did not take away from the experience. Decently priced for the quality of the food. We really enjoyed everything about this place! Highly recommended for service, taste, and view!

The view was incredible and the menu offers a wide variety of plates. I ordered the poke bowl on the waitress’s recommendation. The bowl arrived and was a beautiful thing to behold. I picked up a fork and poked it into a square piece of tender fish covered in a spicy sauce. Then I made the mistake and put the bite in my mouth...now and forever more I will be seeking to repeat that experience. The bite was so beautiful, so subtle, so sublime, if it was my last meal; that would have been better….the taste was such perfection that I literally cried. I have never yet in all my sixty years experienced such an emotional reaction to a bite of food, but before that bite I had never known food could be such an orgasmic experience. The curried peas and the six minute egg….the beautiful and perfectly dressed salad…the sticky rice…all of it….a food-gasm I had never imagined possible. The bowl was $30…who could pontificate that such an experience would cost so little. It stopped all conversation and each person at the table focused on the bowl or plate of pleasure before them. They had different things. None of us shared bites of dinner as we devoured in a blessed ritual the wonder before us. Run, don’t walk. You don’t want to live another day without experiencing this food. Bowing down to the chef and the magic hands that put this together for us.

I had the Friday special with pork and Auahi so good my wife had the plantation burger.
Larry M — Google review
The food was good, and the view was great. The staff was friendly. What surprised me the most, and why I can't give it five stars, is the lack of services for kids. They have a high chair, but that's about all. There are no special water cups with lids and straws for children, and nothing to keep them occupied while we wait for food. I would expect more from a restaurant in an aquarium where the target audience is families with kids.
Andrii S — Google review
What a disappointment. Someone at our hotel highly recommended it. My husband liked his fish and chips. I ordered the fish taco special, which the waitress said was mahi mahi. Took one bite and the fish was raw inside. Finally flagged down the waitress, who apologized and brought it to the kitchen. Then she returned and said the kitchen ran out of mahi so they gave me ahi instead. Hmm, not feeling very trusting now so I ordered the veg burger instead. It’s listed on the menu as being “served with coconut luau taro sauce. This secret, signature sauce combines the sweetness of coconut & the flavor of rich taro.” I get the burger after my husband has finished and it’s just the burger with lettuce, tomato and avocado. Dry bun. No sauce. I asked the waitress and she said it doesn’t come with sauce. Whatever. I ate and we left. Should have gone to the pizza place in the little shopping strip next door.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the rich history of Maui's sugar industry at the Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum. Housed in a former mill superintendent's home, this 1800 square foot museum offers a fascinating journey through the establishment and growth of the island's sugar industry. Visitors can explore exhibits that detail how sugar is grown, harvested, and milled while gaining insight into the lives of plantation workers.
Very informative. Very sweet lady who checked us in. Nice gift shop

The museum is small with informative displays depicting the history of the sugar can factory. There is no lines and not crowded. The outside displays could need some landscaping with walkways and information signs. I was hoping to tour the actual factory. But it looks like it's in the processed of being demolished? Because there were piles of debris around the factory. Overall highly recommend a visit.

This is a curious gem of a museum. I adore looking at industrial machinery from before the era of computerization, and this place is a wonderland for that. There's a lovely green outdoor area with picnic benches and things like giant wheels and gears placed like statues around you. Inside holds a mix of historical items, some more relevant than others, but it provides a great history lesson, not just about the process and challenges of sugar production, but also about the horrific exploitation of laborers and the interesting communities they formed. I had wondered about the source of water on Maui's dry side and found the answers at this museum. There is a cute gift shop as well as a very clean restroom. The ladies at the front desk were friendly. You could spend anywhere from half an hour to a couple of hours here depending how much detail you want to absorb. It's a good place for both kids and adults I think.

Makani Olu Ranch in Central Maui offers a unique horseback riding experience, allowing visitors to explore the volcano on horseback. The ranch provides hands-on and intimate horse rides, with well-cared-for horses and beautiful surroundings. The trail guides are knowledgeable and no-nonsense, ensuring a genuine riding experience for those who love horses. Riders can enjoy stunning views of the ocean and mountains while exploring the ranch's fields where long-horned cattle graze.
You pull up onto a beautifully maintained ranch and ride up around through many fields where their long horned cattle graze. You get views of the ocean as well as the incredible ridged mountains. John was our trail guide and I appreciated how straightforward and no nonsense he was. It’s not your typical flashy tourist trap place. If you’re here to ride and love horses, that’s what you’ll get. The trail horses were well mannered and paired according to skill level. Overall our experience was fantastic and would come back again.
Bonne-Elise D — Google review
I was really surprised to find a hands-on experience being offered and was so excited! I wanted a horse ride in Maui that was more hands-on and intimate, not where one horse just follows the other, so I chose the Ranch ride. The ranch is beautiful, and you can tell the horses are well taken care of. I used to ride when I was younger, but hadn't in 20 years, and managed to forget a lot of what I was taught back then. Yod had me lead my horse to the arena where he showed me the basics of riding again. He's an excellent instructor and super patient. He's funny, and passionate about connecting with the horse, and about proper, safe riding. After the basics, we went on the trail to see some of the most gorgeous views from the side of the mountain. It was so cool to be one on one with the horse and your own trainer/guide. It reminded me how much I miss riding and being around horses. I highly recommend this experience to not only those with experience, but even without. You'll love being able to be involved with the horses and have such a nice guide to show you the trail

What an experience !! Definitely one of the best instructors who accommodated us ASAP with a phone call on a Sunday morning. My wife and I enjoyed it !!!
Freddy N — Google review
My wife and I went horseback riding at Makani Olu Ranch and had a great time. Neither of us had done a lot of horseback riding previously, so we got the beginner experience. The horses we rode (Okie and Clyde) were very nice and easy to handle, but not so overly docile that they just walked the trail no matter what we did ourselves. Yod and Jackie (our guides) gave us some basic instruction before we went and taught us the basics of holding the reins and directing the horses. They made sure that everything went smoothly. We would definitely go back again and highly recommend to our friends.

Amazing experience. The horses are very mild-mannered and well-tempered so that a rider with zero experience, like me, had no issues. The trail was a good length and very scenic. Bring a shirt with pockets if you want to be able to bring a device to take pictures. The staff was very hospitable. All around, I could not have asked for a better experience.

My husband and I had an amazing experience here! The horses were great and we received a quick run down on how to ride and best use the reins. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and we definitely would recommend this ranch to anyone :)
Rachael E — Google review
Trail boss/owner was less than people friendly. One of his horses was lame and testy. He chose to put a beginner rider on this horse. This horse was also trying to bite at the horse in the lead. Two of the horses did not like each other but he withheld this information until there was nearly an incident. I have horses of my own and knowledge enough to go elsewhere in the future.

You can see what is left of the pink pond at the Keālia Coastal Boardwalk. You need to take the Boardwalk out to where it is over the water and directly looking down at it. Viewing it directly down with yield the most pink. At an angle it is more of a blueish pink. These pictures were taken on 12/25/23.

Beach
Maalaea Beach is a remote yet easily accessible spot that offers a variety of activities. It is home to the Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge and serves as a nesting ground for the Hawaiian hawksbill turtle. The calm and clear waters make it perfect for snorkeling, although strong currents can be present during trade-wind days. Nearby Kalama Park provides recreational facilities but has shallow, rocky waters less suitable for swimming.
Maalaea Beach is a quiet, uncrowded stretch of sand with beautiful ocean views and easy access off the highway. It’s a great spot for a peaceful walk, sunset watching, or spotting sea turtles. The water can be rocky in some areas, so water shoes are helpful. While the proximity to the road means some noise, the beach’s seclusion makes up for it. Parking is available, but there are no restrooms or amenities, so plan accordingly. It’s a nice stop if you’re looking for a more local, low-key beach experience away from the tourist crowds.

The beach is nice and water is clear and very secluded. Has trees if you want shade. Cons smells awful like sewage. Also alot of trash and broken glass near entry. The ocean floor is rocky reefy, you'll need water shoes. Sits right on highway so is noisy.

A 6-mile stretch of beach perfect for viewing sunrise and sunset. The water is calm in the morning. It’s a great place to paddle board, canoe, swim, fish, or just relax in the sun. The Kihei Canoe Club has sunrise paddles for visitors on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:45am. There is a fishing pier near the canoe club that is an excellent place to view sea turtles. If you pass the fishing pier and head further East, you will probably see the sting rays swimming close to shore. Between December through February keep an eye out for whales. I had several sightings just walking on the beach. The canoe club says it’s common to see them within 100 feet when out paddling, Heading west there is a board walk leading to KeLia Pond. At the pond, you will see plenty of water foul including Hawaiian Stilt, Hawaiian Coor, ducks, and several shore birds. I recommend packing binoculars because there’s is so much to see at this beach. As far as beach combing, there is quite a bit of coral and rock. It’s not only illegal to take from the beaches in Hawaii, but it’s also local folklore that bad luck will follow you if you do. The sand is a light brown color with areas of black and gold sand near the Pond. As you head further west, you’ll notice the reef with decent opportunities for snorkeling. I noticed several species of crabs in that area.

Passed by this beach. Plenty of parking. Not a lot of people.. very clean beach, but not the greatest beach in the world. Has traffic noise.. If you just want a beach with nothing fancy, this beach gets the job done. Otherwise, there are beaches within close distance with much more serenity.

Great, long expansive beach to walk, jog and swim. Parking along the road or at the Kealia Pond Refuge, which is a very small parking lot with no water or restrooms and the Maui Canoe Club.

Beautiful peaceful beach all to yourself. Bring an blanket and call it a day here!!!!!! Thank me later. No one around and views both ways!!! Must stop

Beautiful beach, little bit of a stink to it from the retention pond on the north side. Would recommend going as far to the south east as possible.

A wonderful place to watch the sunset. We came here a few nights during our stay. Seemed like mostly locals were there. Someone came out to blow the traditional conch horn.

Zippy's Kahului, located at 15 Hookele St, is the original spot of this iconic Hawaiian casual dining chain that dates back to 1966. Open 24/7, it's a go-to place for families with its kid-friendly menu and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of comfort-food dishes such as stews, chili, burgers, local stews, sandwiches and breakfast items. Zippy's also provides dairy-free options and has an allergen chart available.
Our first stop right out of the airport... Such good comfort food. Tasty and Delicious! Mahalo for Rosemary for great service.

I had the chicken trio. I liked the variety. The mac salad was very good. My wife had the Korean chicken, which was the star of our meals. It was also part of the chicken trio. We also had the fried noodles, which was just fair. Service was great.
Stan S — Google review
This place hands down was amazing. Food was smackin! Service was amazing; auntie made sure everyone got what they needed and checked on us often.
Joe T — Google review
Looking forward to a Hawaaiain based chain we were left disappointed with Zippy’s. Parking was easy as there’s a bunch of spots inside. We opted to order from the register and get our food to sit down. We ordered the ZipPac Deluxe and spaghetti with garlic bread. The ZipPac Deluxe was okay. The fried chicken was not good, very tough. The spam was good, it’s spam so. The fish filet was probably the best part of it to be honest, flaky and tasty. The teriyaki beef was also good. The spaghetti however was not good, it lacked any real flavor. We thought it would be similar to Jollibee spaghetti but it was a far worse version. The garlic bread also was just not good. Maybe it’s this location but by the end of the meal we just felt the whole thing was just meh…
Amber L — Google review
So sorry. Imma big time Zippy’s fan. For so long. But maybe I built it up too high in my head, or maybe this place just not good. But so average at best. Of source easy to find park. Right in front no problem. But the table service line too long so we go udda side to counter order. Very fast here! Pass by all the yummy baked items but didn’t buy. Zip pack deluxe cuz hungry! Fried chicken kind of dry and bland. Not expected. I think teriyaki beef or Kalbi, not sure. It’s ok but had a weird after taste. Dish cutlet good!! Spam always good!! Mac salad ok. Rice ok. Chili ok. Spaghetti plate bland again. Was’ going on?? And then it was freezing in the self seating area. I mean frozen time. Eh maybe bettuh next time. I no quit on Zippy’s!
G L — Google review
Zippy's was a lot better than I expected! Living here for a few years I always wanted to try it out and I finally did. The food tasted good and was hot and made quickly but I got the Korean chicken and it was kind of dry so maybe it was sitting as a ready to order item. I would still eat here again because overall it was really good food

Maui is a beautiful destination with much to offer, but some experiences can be disappointing, especially when it comes to dining. For instance, there are reports of subpar food quality in certain establishments, with diners describing the taste as surprisingly unappetizing. Additionally, service can be a significant issue, with some servers appearing fatigued and uninterested in providing attentive care. It's not uncommon for customers to feel ignored, as their orders may not be taken correctly, and tables often go unchecked throughout the meal. Overall, while Maui has a lot of charm, it's important to choose dining options wisely to avoid a negative experience.
J G — Google review
What can I say this place has never disappointed. Good food at a fair price . Today I had the sampler chillie spam beef and some fish over 3 scoops of rice . Made my day after a long flight .out of all the places in Maui different price point and flavor . If you ask me where I want to go it’s this place

Start your day with a delicious breakfast before diving into their mouthwatering barbecue and grill offerings. Picture yourself savoring a Smokehouse Burger topped with crispy bacon and spicy jalapenos while enjoying the picturesque views of boats gently swaying in the harbor.
So good! We got the BBQ baby back... very delicious, a bit dry but good flavor. For the sides we ordered mashed potatoes and mac&cheese. The M&C had a kick to it. I have to me to ed the choice of music was great, 80's music. The service was amazing as well.
Liliana B — Google review
The bar atmosphere is pretty cool, signs everywhere & had live music when we arrived at 7:30pm. I also liked our bar height table, it looked like a surf board & fit a party of 6. Although we did have to ask for a drink menu & utensils. But I definitely wouldn't recommend the drink I ordered, to me it tasted like cough syrup. I ordered the boy short tini & it wasn't garnished how it was described on the menu. So I'm guessing the drink wasn't made properly. The food was ok.
Chelsie F — Google review
Great place right by the water! Cool atmosphere and they even had a live band. Everyone enjoyed their food. I will say, my sandwich was bad, but I let them know and the manager apologized and made it right. BUT, like I said, everyone else liked theirs. Mine was probably a one off.
Katie S — Google review
Breakfast is okay. Country Fried Steak was good. Next time asking for gravy on the side. I miss Denny's Country Fried Steak... The patio chairs need to go. Wreaks havoc on my lower back and causes my sciatica to act up. I end up sitting more on the bar of the chair.

Excellent food! Our server recommended the battered fish tacos and they were light crunchy, and very filling with the vegetables and smashed potatoes that came with them. Also had the beach mom nachos (think loaded fries with bacon, pulled pork, cheese, and other yumminess) and we were stuffed. Large portions!

BBQ has excellent flavors... Cole slaw is super flavorful... Very clean, friendly staff... Great view of harbor...nice breeze flows thru... Serves cocktails.... We had pulled pork sandwiches and sweet potato fries... Will definitely be back s .. Prices are fair!!! The meat wasn't dry and chewy like a lot of other places!!! Highly recommend....

I see lots of mixed reviews for this place, so management has some severe inconsistency issues to deal with. Ours was primarily on the wait staff the evening of 9/14/2021. Per the official website, they are open to 9pm. We arrived at 7:45pm, and were rudely told by the waiter the kitchen would only be open for 5 more minutes. He was the only waiter, and there were six tables occupied. He was running around between all the tables and if you weren't ready to give him your order quickly, he would excuse himself abruptly to attend to another table. One couple arrived shortly after we did, and ordered drinks. By the time he returned to them, it was too late to order food, so they left their untouched drinks, left enough cash to cover the cost, and walked out. We should have done this, but there were few other places open until 9pm. He told another table that they were closing at 8pm. When we ordered earlier, I asked if I could substitute onion rings instead of fries with a pulled pork sandwich. His retort was that they were out of pulled pork, and the onion rings were an appetizer. I changed my request to a chicken sandwich, and ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. Another member of our party ordered a full rack of ribs. Their menu says the BBQ is "outstanding" but that was not our experience. While the rack looked great, it was actually dry and tough as leather. It was quite difficult to eat. Coupled with the extremely rude service and generally sour attitude, we will not return, and will advise others to proceed with caution. There is nothing worse than an employee waiting on you who is just itching to get out of there ASAP. Except maybe the toughest ribs you can imagine. Save yourself, pick another restaurant. I rarely leave bad reviews, and this place may have some good moments, but one bad apple really can spoil your experience.

Decided to check this place out for breakfast since its just walking distance from our rental. The staff was super friendly, the service was awesome and the food was pretty good too! Loved seeing the chickens cruise around trying to get into the establishment.. brought back memories of being back home on Guam!

Bakery
Sugar Beach Bake Shop in Kihei is a casual bakery offering locally sourced sweet treats, sandwiches, and Hawaiian coffee. Located along one of the longest beaches in Maui, it's an ideal spot for family strolls, especially during sunrise or sunset when you might catch glimpses of marine life. A must-try at the bake shop is the malasada, a Portuguese fried pastry coated with sugar and available with various fillings like custard and fruit flavors.
Popped in around 9am on a Wednesday and there were only a few people in line and malasadas still available in all flavours! Parking is easy right out front, and there is seating outside too. Service was really friendly and the shop is so cute and filled with goodies (both edible and gifty things). I grabbed a lilikoi malasada for me and vanilla for my husband and they were the perfect mid morning snack and lots of filling. The price is good at $2.75 each. I also grabbed a spam musubi and it was a tasty savoury kick. Kind of sad I only came here on my last day but maybe that’s a good thing!

Pretty good food, lots of options as long as you’re there before they sell out. I feel like the pastries would be better warmed up a little. Service was not overly friendly. Also, waited a long time for the quiche which was very crispy by the time we got it. Flavor was good, crust was a little burnt though. Not much for gluten free options. Cinnamon roll was ok, a little dry and would have probably been better warm.
Aaron D — Google review
This tiny bakery is really popular to both locals and tourists. We came 30 minutes after they open so all the baked goods were available. The ube and passion fruit malasadas are a favorite. The sticky bun was good without being too sweet. The service and the coffee could be better. A rooster, a chicken and many chicks kept us company as we ate. Mother hen was aggressive, almost bit a finger to procure bread for her young.
Susanna S — Google review
Intimate local bakery with malasadas and pastries. Stopped by after visiting the Iao Valley and ordered all of the malasadas (because why not). We had vanilla, lillikoi (passionfruit), chocolate, ube, and coconut. The best was the lillikoi with chocolate being the second. The dough was soft and there was a good amount of filling. They accept credit cards. There are outdoor tables with seating.
Shanelle S — Google review
It's the best and we'll deserve 5 star Malasadas 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 by far. Coconut, ube, and pumpkin spice 😋 filling are unforgettable generous 😋.Not to sweet and heavy. 2 is not enough. Better than Leonard and others Malasadas.
JAM E — Google review
This was our first time having Malasadas. This place was highly recommended online and my friends. We went to a few places after, and this location didn’t have the best ones. The amount of filling was inconsistent, and the donuts themselves were a little bit dense. However, we did come around the time they typically run out, so I’m assuming they weren’t very fresh. Would still stop by again if we were in the area tho!
Dina C — Google review
Disappointing stop after getting a recommendation from my brother. They had very thin selection probably because we stopped later in the day. No mocha or chocolate options available due to a reported shortage on the island. Just not impressed. Cute shop and nice location.

Cafe O'Lei At the Dunes is a popular dining spot located at the Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course, offering a mix of Hawaiian cuisine and sushi in a lively atmosphere. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant provides delicious and reasonably priced food with generous portions. The indoor and outdoor seating options offer great views, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal.
Excellent food at low prices. Make a reservation. Food : Food was so delicious and yummy. Had breakfast from there. French toast topped with pineapple was awesome. Coffee was also good. Ambience : External appearance of the restaurant is not at all appealing, but it doesn't matter once you get inside. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Outdoor dining has a great view. Services : Friendly service. Wait time is pretty long after ordering the food, as they are super busy in the morning.Good parking area. Reserve your table before you go Cost : Price is reasonable, like average price in Maui.

Tonight their service was on the slow side. Our reservation was for 6:30 , we got seated 10 minutes later. We waited over 45 minutes after placing our order for our food. We understood they were busy and looked like they were short on staff. Our waitress also served as a bartender. All in all our food was delicious and our opu's were happy.

Excellent food & service with great prices and a beautiful view! We had Macadamia nut encrusted Chicken sandwich with Caesar salad and the Crab club sandwich, very nice presentation and taste, very fresh. We did not have reservations on a Sunday evening and had to wait 30 minutes. I would recommend making reservations though. Also, ample parking. Update: We went for breakfast on a Saturday at 8:30, no wait at all, but we were quite surprised at the sparse breakfast menu. Not too many choices. Service was excellent and food was just okay, no big deal. 3 stars for the ambience, sever lack of decor and menu choices.

Awesome service the waiting wasn't too long our food was very satisfying and drinks were yummy. Definitely will be returning for another weekend of food and drinks I had the Prime rib, my hubby had the opakapaka, and my sis had the shrimp. Not to mention the Kona coffee mud pie. Go check it out for yourself call for reservations.

From the outside this restaurant is completely uninspiring. Inside it's not much more than that but the food seems reasonably priced and the portions were large. The evening I visited there was a large local crowd and the special on the menu was the Brontosaurus ribs or actually I think it's listed as short ribs. Service was friendly enough but it's not first class. But that's probably not why you were here anyway. This Cafe is attached to a golf course so it's a convenient place to dine after your time on links. For me it was just easy parking easy access and an overall good meal.

Celebrating my Mom's 79th birthday and we have a wonderful experience here. It was my first time going to the " Dunes" but my mom's probably about 6th visit. It is one of her favorite places and we were enjoying her gift certificate from Christmas! It was a little warmer during the day so requesting sitting outside was excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful Breeze and you move of the golf course as my pictures will show. I was really happy with the quality and customer service I'm actually going to say that I recommend this place more than Mama's Fish House which I feel is so overrated. ( I went with a friend recently and had just an ok food and quality I gave 3 stars.. we spent $100 on a salad and 1 meal. ) At this place we had high quality seafood meals and spent less than $50 plus and amazing lychee mojito!!

We had just got off an almost 10 hour flight and we're on our way to our hotel when our baby girl decided she needed a break. We did a quick search to find a restaurant near by and took a chance. I am so glad we did. The service was great and the food was excellent. Not what we were expecting from a cafe located on a golf course. I had blackened Mahi Mahi and my husband had a macadamia nut crusted chicken sandwich.

As my husband and I try to find our new Anniversary restaurant, we opted for this one this year. While it isn't romantic in the least, the service was excellent and the food good. Overall, it was a decent experience. I had the Macadamia crusted mahi mahi with a lemon caper sauce, with the Passion Fruit mai tai ( I should have had the regular) and he had the prime rib special.

Embark on the Maui Magic Molokini Snorkel Tour, a must-do activity for anyone visiting Maui. The tour takes you to the crescent-shaped crater of Molokini, a top dive spot in Hawaii with calm and clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling. You'll have the chance to explore three tiers of diving, from a 35-foot plateau inside the crater basin to a sheer wall plunging 350 feet outside the crater.
This is my second Molokini snorkeling tour on the Maui Magic and both times have been fantastic. Great crew and they do everything they can to make the experience a good one. Nice light breakfast and hot lunch so you don’t have to worry about packing snacks for the trip. We even saw a couple of whales as we went back to the harbor, a great day! Highly recommend!

I am so thankful we booked this tour! We did the Morning Molokini snorkel tour. Jason, Anna, and Dayton were amazing! Such a fun experience with amazing food. The staff was so nice and made sure we all stayed safe, had fun, and informed/showed us of different sea creatures. We also went to a spot where we saw turtles! 100000/10 recommend booking with them. Our party was about 20 people and it felt very personal! Book with them if you want an amazing experience!

The Maui Magic snorkeling trip to Molokini Crater was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, the entire crew made the experience unforgettable. The captain and team were so friendly, engaging, and clearly loved what they do—it really set the tone for the whole adventure. We were lucky with perfect weather, calm seas, and even got the rare treat of snorkeling at one of the outer reefs around Molokini, a spot that isn’t usually open because of its popularity. The reef was teeming with colorful fish, and the visibility was fantastic. Afterward, we cruised over to Turtle Bay where we got to see a couple of sea turtles up close—such a magical moment. The boat itself was a blast—there was a slide into the ocean, fun music playing, and plenty of space to relax. Breakfast was waiting for us when we boarded, and later in the day we enjoyed delicious fish and pork tacos along with drinks while cruising between stops. The food was way better than I expected for a boat trip—fresh, flavorful, and just what you need after snorkeling. This tour is the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and fun. If you’re looking for a memorable Molokini experience, I can’t recommend Maui Magic highly enough!

Had a fantastic experience with Maui Magic. The crew was top notch- including Captain Kiwini, Philip and Jenna. They created a great environment- provided great instruction to those new to scuba and kept a close eye to ensure our safety. Captain Kiwini kept a close eye on the conditions to make sure that we had the best experience. We were able to see amazing coral fish and, yes, we were able to swim with turtles. I highly recommend the Maui Wowie burger! The food was surprisingly good for a boat tour I highly recommend Maui magic for your snorkeling experience!

This is our first vacation with our daughters to Maui. Have to say if you are thinking of doing a snorkle trip I would highly recommend Maui Magic. The staff was unbelievable, funny and made the experience last a lifetime. The food was great, staff were amazing and snorkeling exceeded expectations. The added bonus of dolphins making an appearance to say hello and the slide of the end of our trip was a great way to cap things off. Thanks again Maui Magic and crew, we will certainly be back. See you soon. ❤️

Great harbor, though south facing sea wall is really taking a beating, allowing the ocean to spill over into the parking lot. Big selection of tours and coast guard station is great!

We took a snorkeling trip on the Calypso from Maaleaa Harbor to Molokini and "turtle town", which we really enjoyed. The only problem is that this is a very windy harbor (for example, there are wind turbines extending up the hill from the harbor). Unfortunately, my underwater pictures are on a different device.

These people care! Made sure we saw everything we could and kept us safe doing it! Good job team! We especially enjoyed Cooper's educational piece on board and Lauren showed us how to dive deep! 💯 recommended!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our snorkeling adventure to Molokini and Coral Gardens on Dec. 5/24. The entire crew was exceptional, especially Ollie, and we appreciated the insights shared by the naturalists both on board and in the water. We lucked in to find a humpback whale calf and mother and the crew quickly dropped a microphone into the water and ran it through the PA system so we could all enjoy the whale song happening underwater. It was magical. They served a modest breakfast (fresh fruit, banana bread, croissants) - maybe my only complaint was that the coffee was awful, but not a big deal. Lunch was a choice of grilled chicken breast, veggie burger or a hot dog, with edamame cole slaw, fresh greens and all the accompaniements for burgers. Fresh and delicious. The tour included one alcoholic (or non) beverage of your choice. Knowing that the tour supports the fantastic work Pacific Whale Foundation does (research, conservation, education) enhances its appeal even further. I would highly recommend this tour!

My husband and I went on the sunset dinner cruise and we enjoyed ourselves. The boat was new, the crew great, the captain was very informative and we enjoyed his narration. The dinner was actually pretty good (I wasn't sure about boat food), we had chicken and steak, drinks were a little weak but good. The main event was the gorgeous sunset! It was perfect! Overall I recommend this excursion, the only thing that they can't control is that there were some rough and bumpy parts of the ocean, so something to be aware of and take meds if needed. Mahalo!

This was my second time booking an excursion with PacWhale and had a great experience! Plus, knowing that proceeds go to help fund conservation and promote understanding of our under-waters friends is a nice bonus! My husband and I booked a whale watching excursion this go-around and it was great! The first time I booked with them, I did a Molokini Crater and Turtle Cove snorkeling excursion. During this recent trip there was plenty of whale action to see! The narration of the naturalists aboard was very informative and educational. I thought the trip was well organized and time managed. They made time to spend watching the whales and traveling within safe distance to see them as different groups moved about before we had to head back to the harbor. I thought the length of the tour (2 hours) was the perfect amount of time. Definitely bring binoculars! If you have a nice camera, that would also be highly recommended to bring along. These images and videos were taken by my iPhone and husband’s Android. Overall our experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend them for your excursions!

Our recent sunset dinner cruise with PacWhale Eco-Adventures exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were transported into a world of natural wonder and sumptuous delights, masterfully guided by Ollie, an exceptional crew member and a marvelously knowledgeable marine biologist. The evening started off with an effortless boarding process that set the tone for the journey. We were warmly greeted by Ollie, who, throughout the trip, personified the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. His enthusiasm was contagious, igniting in us a profound curiosity and respect for the oceanic wonders we were about to encounter. As we sailed off into the brilliant sunset, we enjoyed breathtaking views of the coast, our eyes feasting on the dramatic interplay of colors reflected off the ocean surface. Ollie’s expertise as a marine biologist added an educational layer to the enchanting experience. His intricate knowledge of the ocean's marine life and knowledge he communicated it with infectious passion. When it came to dinner, the cruise did not disappoint. The food was exquisite – a delicious selection of chicken, steak, mushroom and shrimp. The freshness and quality of the food were top-notch, and it was perfectly complemented by the assortment of drinks on offer. Eating to the soundtrack of the gently lapping waves made it an unmatched dining experience. In terms of safety and cleanliness, PacWhale Eco-Adventures excelled. The ship was impeccably maintained and clean, allowing us to relax and enjoy our journey in comfort. Overall, our dinner sunset cruise with PacWhale Eco-Adventures was an experience we will cherish forever. With the combination of picturesque views, delicious food, and Ollie's unforgettable service and knowledge, this trip was truly an eco-adventure of a lifetime. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience on the water.

This tour was by far the best snorkeling trip during my stay in Maui. The crew itself made this tour the best. The Captain, Anna was experienced and did her best to ensure we saw what we were all hoping to see. Since it was not whale season, we were all hoping to see dolphins. Not only did we see many dolphins, she spotted something in the water and decided to venture over to check it out. It just so happened to be two 12-ft wide Manta Rays. We spent 30 minutes watching them give us a show around the boat. The tour was also informational about the different marine species in the area, the company itself, and their part in preserving all Marine life. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. You will not regret it.

Captain Jim and crew were all exceptional at their craft. They were courteous, friendly, helpful, & extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend anyone to fish with these great folks. (Ps. fishing doesn’t mean you always catch fish!). Great experience overall.

Today we went fishing with the aloha blue charters! We had a fun time. We booked through fish Maui and Lili was easy to work with! We did the private charter for 4 hours with catering option. They gave both breakfast and lunch. Very generous portions. Our crew was Kekoa and Larry! They were very helpful and friendly. Kids had so much fun fishing. Kekoa made sure all kids caught fishes and they did!! The boat was well maintained and clean. We caught enough fishes for us. Kekoa cleaned and filet it and ice bagged it for us to take it to grill. They took us to different spots to fish. Definitely recommend them to anyone!

Captain Larry, Zach and Bailey were AMAZING. They took the time to explain everything so we knew exactly what to expect. We trolled out a ways trying to land a big one, and that’s exactly what we did! Once we were hooked up, they were right there to make sure we landed this monster bull! Then we fished the bottom and a bunch of people caught several different kinds of fish. It was really cool to see the different kinds of fish caught. After bottom fishing we trolled again trying to land another monster. Although we didn’t land another big one, we got the chance to take pictures with the one we did land earlier. Then Zach filleted the Mahi so everyone got to take some home. We rounded out the night by cooking the Mahi and it was amazing! Captain Larry and crew is worth every penny!

Had a great experience with aloha blue. The deck hands were friendly and helpful. My son had a blast reeling in his first tuna. They processed the fish and sent us home with some tasty tuna steaks! Good times.

Outstanding experience! My buddy and I did the 4 hour morning bottom fishing trip. Trolled for an hour on the way to the first bottom spot with no hits, and we had only one or two fish landed at the first two spots. Then at the third and fourth spots we hit the honey holes. For the 14 people fishing we pulled up about 50-60 fish, and 35 to 40 were edible keepers. Then trolled back to the marina. Ten minutes out from the marina we had a huge hit on the down rigger. The hit turned out to be a 24 lb Ono! Wow, what a trip! The captain and two crew were awesome (Mark, Brian, and Sienna).
Chris G — Google review
Great experience, very friendly and informative staff, safety conscious and beginner friendly, great for kids! Our boat was the Hokua and it was clean, organized and pretty fun to ride on, for myself at least, i will say the morning ride was ideal for my hubby who is prone to getting sea sick very easily. Our crew was fantastic, big thank you to captain Bryan, and his two very friendly and attentive first mates, Matt and KāKoa! On the trip to molokini and from turtle town they were always talking to people to answer questions or just giving fun facts and they were constantly asking if anyone needed any drinks or to take trash. At the snorkel locations they were in the water with us watching for turtles to point them out or keeping an eye on everyone. My husband and I had a great time and I highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a fun morning on Maui!!!

Aqua Adventures offers an unforgettable experience with their snuba adventure. The friendly and attentive crew, led by the amazing instructor Adela, ensures that even first-timers feel comfortable and well-informed about the equipment and the underwater experience. Guests get to explore Molokini crater and a secret turtle spot, encountering an abundance of tropical fish, turtles, and coral up close. The captain's humor adds to the enjoyable atmosphere, while unexpected sightings of whales make for an even more memorable journey.
Wow—what an amazing experience! The Aqua Adventures team went above and beyond to make our tour as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Everything we needed was provided, even the little things the pre-trip materials don’t mention. Forgot gear? No worries—they’ve got you covered, down to thoughtful extras like petroleum jelly to help seal your mask. The boat was just as fabulous as the crew. Its smaller size created a more personal and intimate connection with the water. Our sailing even included a professional photographer, and Matt’s photos were absolutely worth purchasing—they perfectly captured the magic of the day and the sealife we saw. Truly a great experience. Thank you, Aqua Adventures!

We had a memorable experience with this crew on Aqua Adventures!! My family of 4 went and even though myself personally could not experience the in water snorkeling/snuba due to a injury on my leg(which they were very concerned and empathetic too) I had the best time! We all did. Captain, Marcella and Darren were the best of the best! They were patient with us, they went over everything step by step and were so knowledgeable with everything we got to experience! They treated us with a nice breakfast and lunch and had us laughing the whole time. I will be back when I am able to get in the ocean and experience this adventure! Thank you to this crew for an awesome day, we will never forget🥰 The Bell family from Ohio🤙🏽🥰

Mahalo to Captain Darryl and the awesome crew (Darien, Shanessa, and Duke) of Aqua Adventures! There are dozens and dozens of outfits that can take you snorkeling to Molokini so picking one felt like entering the lottery. The great news is we struck it big! The boat is the perfect size- big enough to move around and mingle - and who doesn’t love a top deck to do some sweet sightseeing - but not so big you feel like you’re navigating Black Friday lines to find a seat! The equipment was well maintained, the food was very well done and plentiful! Captain Darryl kept us laughing while giving out excellent pointers and showing us terrific snorkeling territory - complete with the best turtle viewing spot. A true veteran and an awesome experience. We highly recommend them for any couple or family looking for a top tier experience!

This crew is a blast. They made the day very special. If you’re booking an adventure on Maui this is the one you want. The captain found a pod of dolphins on the way to the crater and did some figure 8’s so they could play in the wake, you can tell they wait for this boat almost every morning. If you’re new to snorkeling they will help you, if you want to try Snuba they have that too. We got lucky and saw too many turtles to count. It’s family owned and personable, they call you by name the whole day once they know you. Worth the money, and what an experience!

Trilogy II offers an upscale and romantic dining experience aboard a sailing catamaran departing from Maalaea Harbor.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable evening in Maui, the Sunset Dinner with Whale Watching experience from Trilogy is absolutely incredible! From start to finish, it was a fantastic adventure. We were lucky enough to see whales during the trip, which was breathtaking! Pair that with a stunning sunset over the water, and it was pure magic. The four-course dinner was just as impressive—the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and felt like fine dining with an unbeatable view. The crew truly made the experience special. Their hospitality and attentiveness were top-notch, and they went out of their way to ensure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. This is a must-do in Maui for an evening filled with great food, amazing views, and unforgettable memories. Highly recommend!

We went on the Trilogy II for a snorkeling excursion. The boat was nice, the staff was great and Molokini is a must visit. We have snorkeled many times over the years and this was one of the best! We will be back.

We took the excursion to lanai, and it was an incredible half-day experience. The waters that day were super calm and incredibly clear. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, by the time we got to lanai I felt like I had a few new friends who lived on the island. They fed us breakfast and coffee on the way there and just before we left Lanai we got a fresh hot cooked meal. When you take into account what it would’ve cost us to take the ferry, rent our own snorkeling, equipment, and make, and pack our own lunch Taking the trip to Lanai on trilogy seems like a bargain. Absolutely 100% professional and a fantastic trip on a gorgeous boat. And the snorkeling on the private beach was incredible. Highly highly recommend it.

We attended the sunset dinner cruise. All the staff were very nice and accommodating. The boat was comfortable and the captain helped create a calm stable trip for us. Unfortunately the food was not very good. It was un-inspired and lazy. I expected better for the price point. I also was not a big fan of how the captain passive aggressively announced that they expected gratuity, and did not give guests proper time to calculate and prepare.

Top Maui experience! We did the Trilogy tour to Lana’i and can’t recommend it more. The full day included a hot breakfast and lunch, snorkeling and hiking, drinks served and ice cream sundays. We went in March and got the bonus of seeing all the whales during our boat ride. The crew was outstanding (shoutout to Turtle, Kanani, Cayden and Chris!!) and the snorkeling pristine. The boat was beautiful and the views incredible. Trilogy is the way to go!

We’ve done many dinner cruises, but this one aboard trilogy ll was by far the best! On the day we were scheduled to sail, wind gusts were in excess of 24. I was a little nervous about that because this is pretty windy but happy to see that we would be on a big boat. The captain exercised precaution and anchored the boat in an area shielded from the wind so we could enjoy our dinner. Speaking of dinner. It was absolutely amazing. When we boarded, warm bread was placed on our individual table, which was also very different than other boats. The butter was whipped with some sort of pineapple agave something and just delicious. Then appetizers were served which included smoked salmon sushi some sort of pork belly, and a shrimp ceviche wrap. Then dinner followed. I ordered surf and turf. My husband got short ribs and let me tell you, you can cut them with a fork. They were well cooked, flavorful, and tender. Dessert was chocolate whipped mousse. The staff was amazing and friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve never been to Maui before, but I’d come back just to do this dinner cruise. Oh, I forgot to mention the cocktails. They were not spectacular. My pineapple margarita didn’t taste like pineapple or anything special. The Prosecco was as expected.

Best day that we had in Maui, and we have been coming for years. The crew was unbelievable. They were incredibly attentive and went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, safe, well fed and having a great time. We have done snorkeling trips before, but this experience was next level. My 12 year old even got to help the crew out, and he loved every second of it. I was especially impressed with how they helped my 73 year old mother-n-law feel comfortable in the water and helped her around the boat. If you book with trilogy, expect top shelf!

Maui Stand Up Paddle Boarding LLC offers an exhilarating way to explore the ocean while visiting Maui. Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) provides a perfect vantage point to admire the island's scenic shoreline and spot marine life. Private lessons are available for those new to ocean paddleboarding, ensuring they learn proper techniques. Whether paddling along the coastline or venturing further out to sea, SUP is a fantastic way to stay active while taking in breathtaking views.
I booked a paddle boarding lesson with Maui Stand Up for my father and I. He had never done this before and was excited to try. It took a little time to find our guide, I suggest you get there 10 minutes before your lesson just so you could walk around and find your guide. Zeke was our guide for the day and he was great! He was really warm and friendly, incredibly helpful and told us all about his experience as an instructor and what to expect. He took us out on the water and we began our lesson. My father had a great time trying to master the art of getting up on the board. Zeke was patient and also pointed out the wildlife around us. It was a great, fun and relaxing experience. By the end of the lesson my dad could paddle!!! SUCCESS!!!! We both had a great time and thanks Zeke for being so awesome!

My adventure in Maui started with Maui Stand Up Paddle Boarding at 8 am at Makena Beach State Park. For beginners, early morning is the best time of the day since the water is calm. I was so excited to experience SUP because I wanted to try how it felt to walk on water and observe the marine life from a different perspective. My guide Curtis, a certified instructor from California, lives in Maui for years and is very knowledgeable. After reviewing basic water safety instructions, he taught me how to get up, stand up, and paddle step by step during a 2 hours private lesson. It was super fun to ride waves across the pristine clear water and we were lucky to cross paths of big giant turtles. SUP in Maui is definitely a must do and I highly recommend to opt for a private lesson if you are traveling solo. More pictures on my IG @kelledstyle :)

This is a must do while in Maui. The private nature of the tour allowed us to go at our own pace while still having the expertise and experience of a guide. Mikaela was so friendly and informative throughout the tour. She taught us all about Hawaiian culture, the reefs, and gave us plenty of recommendations of other must dos while on the island. While out on the water paddling and snorkeling, we saw so many different types of fish, a bunch of turtles, and a whole pod of dolphins. I would definitely do this tour again and recommend to anyone who wants to paddle board in Maui, both experienced sup users and first timers.

My Husband and I enjoyed a lesson on an early morning at Makena Landing with Laurie. We were totally stoked to give SUP a try! Laurie was great - she was friendly, professional, and a great teacher! She was patient and encouraging. We had a great morning with her and really enjoyed our first try and SUP! Our day turned out to be cloudy, so our pictures are a bit dark. But it was a nice 'extra' to receive! Thanks again Laurie - Maui Stand Up Paddle Boarding is lucky to have such a great teacher on board! Would definitely do it again if back in Maui. Give it a try!

We loved the bonus of getting free awesome pictures of our adventure. 100% recommend and will return to them, maybe kayaking next time!

He made it fun, simple and entertaining. Zeke was extremely knowledgeable about the marine life as well as the islands. We both highly recommend this company and will be back again!

Point Break Pizza & Panini is a must-visit spot in Maui for pizza enthusiasts. Their unique 48-hour rising dough results in an airy crust that serves as the base for their wood-fired paninis and pizzas. Using locally sourced ingredients, they craft artisanal pizzas, small plates, salads, and paninis. The menu features appetizers like honey and cheesy focaccias and tomato bruschetta.
Friendly fast service, FANTASTIC pizza! Lived here 20 years and never thought any pizza matched my home NY pizza! NY pizza needs to be folded over to eat… so did Point Break… loved that!! Felt like a little taste of childhood Salad was also fantastic- house made delicious dressing and the small size was very ample. Really fresh ingredients- incredibly impressed!!! (and that is hard to do! Haha) Ordered the pizza well done - they did perfect. Loved the chili oil available at the condiment station … can’t wait to return… YUMMY!! Restaurant seating was really cute, there’s a nice big six seater table for families. Real nice wooden tables each one has a Lazy Susan for the pizza in the middle, what a great idea over those precarious U-shaped standard pizza holders that you always feel like are gonna topple over ! Great job guys! Doing things this great, you have a bright future ! (Why four stars on Service? Just because you have to go up to the front to order after sitting down making a decision as to what you want. But I get it. It’s a cheaper way to run a restaurant. The runner was very fast and very pleasant, and the guy who took the order was a sweetheart, although he didn’t know how to use the system all that well yet. He was a nice young man though. ) Be aware that reasonably priced delicious pizza will attract families… There was a screaming baby which was quite loud, but I’m glad that families have a reasonable place to come…

100/10 LOVE this place!! Kendall, Mark and the Pizza Assassins always supply top notch service and quality with their products. We love the White Caps and Spicy Italian pizzas- sauce, crust and toppings are always on point! This joint turned me from a red sauce only gal, to craving their white sauce options. Don’t forget to check the pizza of the month for a delicious chef inspired Za! The Bodhi is our go-to sando. Sicilian Spinach is my favorite salad. We have enjoyed working our way through this delicious menu; not one item has let us down! Always perfection with a smile. We also favor grabbing a cocktail while we wait for our food- which is typically ready in 15 minutes, we end up hanging out for a second round because the vibe there is so fun. Best pizza on Maui- hands down!! Whether you are staying close or passing by, this is a must try!

7.8 on my DP scale. Very good pizza thin crust, more of a neopolitan than a NY style but crust was still nice and airy with a good crunch on the out side. Much better than the other pizza we had at another location. Highly recommend if craving pizza im the area!

Tante's Fishmarket Restaurant & Bar offers a modern dining experience with beautiful harbor views, serving a variety of dishes including poke, sushi, fish entrees, and Filipino cuisine. The restaurant provides a kid's menu and quick service during midday hours. Customers have praised the generous portions and affordable prices compared to other tourist spots. The professional and courteous staff contribute to the overall positive experience.
This restaurant is located near the Maalaea Harbor in Maui. The food at Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant exceeded my expectations. After an early morning of whale watching, my wife and I were starving, having rushed out the door to make it to our meet-up spot at Boss Frog's, located just downstairs in the same shopping center. By the time the restaurant opened at 10 AM, we were more than ready for a good meal. As soon as they welcomed guests inside, we were seated at a comfortable spot under some fans, with a beautiful ocean view. The peaceful ambiance made for a perfect setting to enjoy our lunch. For my meal, I ordered the chicken Caesar salad with a refreshing glass of water, while my wife opted for the steak and lobster with a side of french fries. Her steak was cooked to perfection, and while I don't eat lobster, she assured me it was absolutely delicious. The french fries were perfectly crispy and flavorful, making them a great addition to her dish. Every bite we had was satisfying, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Beyond the food, the overall experience at Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant was fantastic. The service was top-notch--attentive, friendly, and efficient, leaving nothing to be desired. The ambiance was exactly what you'd hope for in a restaurant with an ocean view--calm, scenic, and relaxing. What more could you ask for? If I ever find myself in Maui again for another whale-watching adventure, I wouldn't hesitate to return to this restaurant. It was a wonderful dining experience from start to finish, and I truly appreciate the excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Thank you, Tante Maalaea Harbor Restaurant, for a memorable meal!

Oh my, where to begin? I know Tante’s as the hole-in-the-wall restaurant at the Maui Seaside hotel in Kahului that serves up a good breakfast. Since their inception, they’ve expanded to this restaurant at Ma’alaea Harbor, formerly occupied by Saltimbocca and a few iterations before that. ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful & spacious waterfront location with an unsightly interior. It’s an unappealing mix of blue-green and white LED’s and incandescent lighting, mishmash of chairs (some stained) & tables (one with a 50’s-style vinyl covering), electric cords all over the walls, a former open-view kitchen that’s now partially boarded up, dirty ledges and floor corners. A small outdoor lanai serves up great harbor and Haleakala views. Private dining room available at the back of the restaurant. Come towards closing time and you may be treated to workers scarfing down food amongst patrons. RESERVATIONS: Recommended as they were quite busy at 7pm, with the majority being tourists. PARKING: Paid parking but free after 5pm within the Harbor Shops lot. MENU: American, Filipino and Hawai’i-local fare. BEVERAGE: Glasses of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay were both underwhelming. FOOD: Munggo Bean Soup The only unique item that caught my attention as I love this dish. Served hot, it’s a sizable bowl highlighted with oxtail pieces and meat. Taste & seasonings were textbook. A restroom paper towel replaced the traditional paper doily between the bowl and saucer. Sides of artificially-coated fries and hot veggies were both room temp. The spouse had an unconventional meal of clam chowder and half rack of ribs. A friend had the steak & lobster which was reported as “okay”. DESSERT: They ran out of coffee at 8pm which is an hour before closing. I’ve never… Mud Pie This was good! Bold coffee ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle and chopped nuts. SERVICE: Food delivery was extremely slow, close to 30 minutes or so, but drinks came out quick. The server was friendly and attentive. No follow up on food but drinks were topped off. OVERALL: So much potential that’s going to waste.

Great happy hour $3:50 drinks. Ordered fish and chips. Was very good won’t disappoint. Also order kalua barbecue sandwiches. Was good but the macaroni salad lacked flavor and salt. Mud pie dessert was amazingly delicious.

Great spot for a bite after going on a Whale Watching cruise. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Great view of the harbor and some additional views of whales while dining.

One of my favorite meals during our time in Hawaii was at Tante Maalea, a charming restaurant located inside the shops and dining area at Maalaea Harbor, just across the street from the Maui Ocean Center. Tante Maalea is advertised as a place serving Filipino entrees, but their menu offers a wide variety of food options, so there’s something for everyone. It’s a casual spot, perfect for a laid-back meal, with plenty of sushi, seafood, and bar-style dishes to choose from. We stopped by right after an early morning whale-watching trip, and I was excited to try something delicious. Tante Maalea opens daily at 10:30 a.m. and stays open until 9 p.m. Originally, I had my heart set on ordering crab, but since they only serve it at dinner, the waitress recommended the steak and lobster meal. For just $30, it turned out to be an absolute steal! The meal was cooked perfectly, and I couldn’t have asked for a better post-whale-watching treat. With their great variety of food, delicious cocktails, and relaxed atmosphere, Tante Maalea is definitely a fun stop while you’re exploring the harbor. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal without any fuss, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Absolutely loved this place. We stopped in without a reservation for lunch and still got seated quickly. Everyone was super nice, especially our waitress Laurie. She gave us exceptional service with a genuinely happy smile. The food was amazing. We will definitely be back before our vacation is over.

Maui Food Trucks of Kihei

Food court
Kihei Food Truck Park is a must-visit for those craving a quick and delicious meal. Nestled behind Azeka Shopping Center, this well-designed park features a semi-circle of food trucks and trailers surrounding covered picnic tables. The gravel ground keeps the area relatively dust-free during the summer. With an array of options ranging from mouthwatering fish tacos to classic American burgers and international cuisine, visitors can savor high-quality fare without the long wait.
This is a cute little food truck hub! We tried both Maui Shrimp (honey walnut rosemary shrimp plate) and Vidad’s Local Kine Grindz (poke bowl). If you’re visiting Maui, def would recommend finding food here and supporting local rather than bigger chains you’ll find. There’s plenty of parking and covered picnic tables to enjoy a nice meal. Check it out!

Great spot for breakfast! Kraken Coffee and K’alale food truck were wonderful. Get the breakfast burrito stuffed with local flair.

I ordered the garlic shrimp rice,it tasted really good.I have it in many other places and it was never done right like in here so I had to say it,was really really good. Not burned rice or too oily. It felt good. I recommend.

Lots of picnic tables under the shade with plants and lighting surrounded by multiple trucks. We went on a Monday which was also a holiday so a third or quarter were closed but we still had plenty of options. A few roaming chickens. Vidad’s was awesome - huge portion and will be making another stop for Kraken Coffee’s iced caramel latte

We stopped here for dinner with our small kids and it was nice to have so many options. We tried a few different trucks and everything was delicious! Easy to stop and eat and let the kids run around

Over priced and not great food… super cute area, fun to buy from food trucks but prices were so high with food quality not matching. $25 plus each meal. We went back for dessert on another night, $61 bucks for 4 small milk shakes- it was HALF FILLED with whip cream and half shake. Cant go back sorry!

If you want excellent local food, food trucks in this park are an indispensable part of your trip. Everything is very neat and clean, the food looks great, tastes even better, and is reasonably priced. Everyone here will welcome you with a smile on their face. The park is quite large, so you can safely come with children. I definitely recommend it. Enjoy ;)

Haycraft Park is a small and quiet county beach park located between Maalaea Beach and Sugar Beach. It offers a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for picnics, leisurely walks, and sunset viewing. The park features shade trees, a beautiful beach with ample sand, water, and showers. Visitors can also enjoy whale watching and may even spot Honu (turtles) from the beach.
Beautiful and sexy if you like nice and quiet. The Monk Seal we saw was sleeping. You should never advance or disturb the seals. They are protected status. Further down the beach is a large concrete/rebar reinforced wall about 10’ tall. Not sure the purpose. See video.
Eddie B — Google review
This beach was nice. Not as popular as the big beaches but that's the good part, you get most of the beach to yourself. The shoreline isn't that big but still nice. The current isn't too strong here so you won't get pulled way out to the ocean. You can use a tree for shade if needed. This is a windy beach so putting up a unbrella might not be a good thing.
Brandon R — Google review
Handcraft Park i don't really consider a park. There is parking, portable toilets, out door showers, some green grass and always over ran trash cans. I would not trust walking around barefoot. There is broken glass and who knows what else. Now if you take just a few more steps to the beach that is beach. Right next to park trash can be all around but if you walk down the beach to the left or right it's wonderful. Water is a bit ruff for me there so I don't swim there. I just wasn't comfortable with the strength of the waves there but plenty of other people do. Weekend can be very crowded with locals. Weekdays less busy. There is no playground. No life guard. Park is located down at the end of Haulio street
Angela M — Google review
Haycraft Park is a great beach to relax and unwind. The crowd is less, making it a peaceful and serene place to enjoy the beauty of Maui. We stumbled upon this beach unknowingly and were pleasantly surprised by its charm. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the ocean.

Small clean beach. Water to wash feet and porta potties were clean. Great for picnic or quick dip!

Great little hidden gem at the end of the street from the air bnb where we were staying. Locals were camping there but very friendly. I got to play with their baby, Mila, and it was especially endearing when they introduced me as 'Auntie'. Beautiful, clear beach, very quiet. The only thing that was a little icky were the sea cucumbers!
KatWoman 1 — Google review
Nice beach to relax on. Careful of the thorns in the sand from the local bushes. I would wear sandals or water shoes. Doesn't get super crowded. There are a lot of turtles you can watch from the beach as well.
Tim D — Google review
Not a five star beach due to the dirty feel of the park, limited parking and a disgusting porta potty. BUT.....4 star because you can walk for miles on the beach, see turtles in the wave, find sea glass and small shells and observe the Kealia Pond from the ocean side. Great photo opportunities and diverse sand. Take plenty of water or go early in the morning to walk as it can get very hot. Other than the porta potty at the park, there are no bathrooms for miles.

Visitor center
The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Visitor Center, located overlooking Kalepolepo Beach in Kihei, Maui, offers a year-round opportunity to learn about humpback whales. The center features fascinating exhibits showcasing various aspects of humpback whales, from their baleen to the tags used for studying them. Visitors can gain insight into the research and conservation efforts focused on these majestic creatures in the Hawaiian islands.
We came here on our last day of vacation. Thought we were expecting more, it was still worth the stop and a great experience! It's free. The volunteers are definitely passionate about what they do and were very informative. It was educational and we learned a lot! We like this kind of stuff and definitely recommend it to those that do. It's right next to turtle bay and we didn't go at peak time when most of the turtles are there, but we did catch one! Only because one of the volunteers pointed it out to us. We never would've known otherwise. It looks like a rock!

The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary Visitor Center is a must-visit for anyone interested in marine life. The knowledgeable volunteers provide fascinating insights into whale migration, conservation, and local marine ecosystems. The center offers interactive exhibits, children’s activities, and stunning ocean views. If you’re lucky, you might spot sea turtles or even whales offshore. Free entry and parking make it an easy stop, and it's especially great before a whale-watching tour.

This was a fun and interesting stop for our extended family group. We spent about an hour here checking out the different displays and watching some interesting videos. The staff were able to answer questions we had about the displays. I would recommend this for all ages- there were quite a few options for children. Great for a low cost option and to get out of the sun!

Lovely place to visit and learn about the sanctuary. Opened my world to other Marine Sanctuaries. Beautiful view and a friendly staff. Special place. Thank you!

We visited this small sanctuary yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Doug gave a knowledgeable, relatable and interesting presentation at 10 am. Suzanne welcomed us wholeheartedly with a smile as she assisted the children already in attendance; And Joanne pointed out the sea turtles, provided us with binoculars, and even recommended the perfect place for lunch. All three were perfect at, and enthusiastic about, their work at the sanctuary. No tickets, no admittance fees, no parking is required. Verify hours of operation before stopping by. (Although we saw three monk seals there on the sand when the center was closed on Sunday. It was awesome!) So arrive with a smile, and if you can't do that ... Doug, Suzanne, and Joanne will make sure you depart with one. 😊 Thank you all!

Nice Visitors Center and friendly staff. However, the whales and turtles were somewhere else during my visit so my experience was limited to the nice Visitors Center and the friendly staff. If the whales and I ever happen to be in Maui at the same time, I'll be sure to return to the Sanctuary.

This adventure is perfect for anyone seeking an enchanting and educational experience in Hawaii's stunning aquatic environment.
This was my 2nd time doing the Mermaid Adventure. I took my friend Tom along with me. Our teacher Lowe was amazing!!! She was so nice & fun, we had such a wonderful day! She is really a great swimmer & can hold her breath for a long time, which made it extra beneficial to us because she was under the water taking pictures of us with her GoPro! She helped us on & off with our fins, took beach pictures & paddled us out to the reef so we could see all the pretty fish & even a giant sea turtle. It was also very cool that we were able to hear the whale songs while we were under the water!! Overall, a 100% fabulous day!!! Thank you Lowe!!!🩵🩵

When we signed up for this we were a bit uncertain about whether it would be worth it for the price. But this turned out to be an absolutely wonderful and unique experience!! Our guide Lowe was so attentive to safety but was also very skilled at teaching us what to do and she took tons of amazing photos. My eleven year old daughter said it was her favorite part of our entire trip to Maui. And the photos are an incredible bonus that we will treasure forever along with the memories!

My daughter kept telling me she wanted a mermaid tail to swim with, so when we saw Maui Mermaid Adventures advertised we knew it was the perfect birthday present for our 6 year old little mermaid. Heather was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. The location she took us to was beautiful. My daughter was a little nervous at first but in no time she was attempting her own dives and doing saumersaults with her fin. Her success can largely be credited to Heather’s calm, confident approach and ability to create a safe and fun learning environment. As an adult I had fun seeing how far in could down and how long I could swim with the fin. And the pictures turned out awesome! Highly recommend!

After a week in Hawaii seeing and doing amazing things, I was afraid this experience might not be up to par. How wrong I was as this was the most fun thing my 7 and 9 year old did all week! Caitlin was great with the girls, took time to explain, and had a lot of patience. The location was fantastic and again Caitlin was very safe and observant with the girls in the water as they know how to swim but aren’t great swimmers yet. One quit early but it didn’t detract from the other’s experience. Great photos and a lot of them which is always a plus for my wife. She took them snorkeling and they finally got to see a turtle which had been elusive the entire trip to that point. The two hours she spent with the girls allowed us some time to relax and just enjoy the morning. Finally, the value was by far worth it! We had a private lesson with Caitlin in the ocean that was less than our resort was charging for a group class in the pool.

Lila is a beautiful soul. A true mermaid. Her love and connection to the ocean and her passion for the Hawaiian islands is a wonderful treasure to share. Our mermaid swim was spectacular. A perfect day in the bay populated with sea turtles and marine life, the experience of navigating the reef and waters as a mermaid was among the best and most memorable on my visit to Maui. There is nothing like gliding through the pristine Hawaiian waters with the flick of your tail, as a mermaid. The photos of my mermaid swim are ethereal and capture the tranquil beauty and memory of this otherworldly adventure. Thank you Lila. What an amazing experience. Xx

I thought Mermaid Emily was amazing. She checked everyone in, set everyone up with the correct mermaid tail and gave clear instructions, taught about care of the ocean, took pictures of each participant doing various poses or swimming, and taught the participants how to snorkel. The only negative was that there were three women who were there to help and did absolutely nothing; they could have helped speed things along, by signing in the participants, handing out the correct mermaid tail, help to get mermaid tail on and make sure it fit (some needed different sizes). Mermaid Emily did EVERYTHING so it seems she could have been freed up a little to work with the mermaids.
Cathy K — Google review
My 7 year old saved up her allowance and purchased this adventure for herself. We can not say enough about how amazing it was! We did a private lesson at Makena Beach and the photos are spectacular (and included!!). The lesson on conservation was much appreciated and my daughter loved snorkeling with the tail on. She is an average swimmer for her age and had no problems with the tail. 100% worth it and I have been recommending it to everyone.

We stumbled upon a gallery named Makawao Fine Art while wandering the streets on vacation. The owner, David, treated us like old friends and showed us impressive artwork without any pressure to buy. Although we didn't expect to cross paths again, we couldn't stop thinking about one particular piece. Determined to see it again, we returned near closing time and David kindly assisted us throughout the purchasing process. He even covered the shipping and made our day by giving my wife an early Christmas present.
We were just wandering the street and found ourselves in "just another art gallery on vacation". David understood this but treated us like old and welcome friends, showed us some great pieces and offered a mild sales pitch with NO pressure. When we left there was little expectation we would ever see each other again. Over the next couple days I kept thinking about one piece in particular and found a way to get back there again. We walked in at about closing time and he stayed and helped us through the process, even picked up the shipping and made the wife's day with my early Christmas present. Every buying experience should be like this.

Hawaiian restaurant
Nalu's South Shore Grill is an open-air eatery in Kihei, Maui that offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant prides itself on serving seasonal, locally sourced Hawaiian recipes and occasionally features live music. Their breakfast menu boasts hearty comfort food like the loco moco made with local eggs and grass-fed beef, as well as the Black and Blue ahi Benedict and fluffy pineapple-banana pancakes.
Stopped by on a Wednesday evening around 8pm and although it was quite busy, we only had to wait about 10 minutes in line to place our orders and we were able to find a table that suited us best. Overall, we were quite impressed with the quality of service and food served at this popular local restaurant. All staff here are kept quite busy but are friendly and helpful and seemed happy to be working there. Crab Cake & Greens was good with and a nothing special crab cake but with a very fresh and tasty organic salad. Pacific Mahi Mahi was excellent with very tasty Wild caught Pacific Mahi Mahi, sautéed with lilikoi-piccata vinaigrette. Fish & Green Bean Fries with the beer battered Pacific Mahi Mahi, served golden brown was the best deep-fried fish I've had in a long time. Green bean fries were interesting but not that interesting. Roasted Beets & Goat Cheese was excellent with very fresh and tasty roasted beets, organic greens, goat cheese, etc. Ahi Club was exceptional with fresh island yellow fin tuna seared rare, topped with applewood smoked bacon over crisp sourdough. Nalu’s Raw Salad was fresh and tasty. The Straight Up Burger was perfectly cooked medium rare with swiss cheese and bacon and the Korean Bulgogi Burger were both delicious and filling. The toasted brioche bun was perfect for these burgers. With reasonably priced delicious local food, service with a smile and very good live music (although a bit too loud for my tastes), this was our favorite place to dine in Maui. We will be back if we have a chance again.

First time at Nalu’s .I have been reading about it for years and today we checked it out! We Went for Happy Hour and it was great! The Mai Tai’s for $8 is a great price and you can taste the rum! Really good and a fabulous price! We had the happy hour ahi which was really good and worth $7.00. The calamari was good but probably wouldn’t get it again. The ribs were outstanding but for 3 small pieces for happy hour I would skip the happy hour ribs and go for the full order of ribs with rice, Mac salad and kimchi! We ended up ordering a full rib meal to share after the happy hour order because they are that good! Had two Mai Tai’s each because they are that good and such a great price! Not watered down or weak! Really good! Staff is friendly and attentive! No dishes left on the table and everyone is so friendly!

It was one of the only non-hotel affiliated breakfast places we could find on this side of the island and I'm glad we did. Many great breakfast options. We had the pancakes, french toast, Portuguese sausage side, and vegetarian Benedict between the 3 of us. Everything was very tasty. We liked the open air setup. Would definitely return for another meal.

Nice bar/restaurant located in a shopping center. Line up and preorder your food and a server brings it to your tip. Ate indoors (no air conditioning). There’s outdoor seating. The menu was fairly priced and didn’t seem marked up. We had the crab cakes, chicken and waffles, vegetarian bowl and poke bowl. Everything was decent but nothing to rave about. Looks like a nice spot for happy hour.

Nalu’s is such a unique spot where everything comes together: delicious food, generous portions, fast service, happy hours, and live music. The atmosphere feels both casual and vibrant, making it one of the must-visit places on Maui. A quick tip: check the menu in advance! Here you order and pay first, then grab a table. Don’t be scared off by the long line at the entrance — it moves really fast thanks to this system. Overall: tasty food, great vibes, and a true island experience. Highly recommended!

Nalu’s is one of my go-to spots in Kihei! The staff is always friendly, upbeat, and makes you feel right at home. The location is perfect — easy to get to, with a relaxed open-air vibe that really captures the Maui lifestyle. I stopped in for happy hour and everything was on point. I had the seared ahi, Hawaiian short ribs, and ahi tacos — all absolutely delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions are generous for the price, and you can really taste the care that goes into their food. Their happy hour is one of the best around — great prices, generous portions, and awesome drinks. The cocktails are fresh, creative, and the perfect pairing to the food and island atmosphere. If you’re looking for a spot that’s got amazing food, great people, and good vibes all around, Nalu’s is it.

Had a great breakfast here. Danny the manager of the day checked in to see if we needed anything. He brought over a small glass so we could try their house made hot sauce. Attentive and friendly service was much appreciated for breakfast. Food was excellent and tasty. We had the French Toast and Three Egg Omelette. Casual family atmosphere at breakfast time. Interesting array of flavored water.

Wow, you know i loved this place as I just spent 45 minutes writing a review and it didnt post. Ugh. Bit You need this one. From the staff to the food Nalu's South Shore Grill is amazing. First off. Here is how it works. You walk up to the hostess and order there. then you will be given and number and you can find your seat. They will bring g you your food order. They have 3 varieties of flavored water. Im not sure if they change but I went with strawberry filled water with fresh berries and mint. Yummy. We went with the grilled cheese and fries with a bowl of fresh fruit for the kid. The apple brie burger with kettle cooked chips perfect blend of savory and seret with a little crisp from the apple, the mahi mahi special with the lilikoi, ginger, caper sauce.... let me tell you this one steals the show. I will attach pics. Beautiful fresh colorful entree with a flavor profile I've seen in high end fine dining restaurants. But at real people prices and fantastic portion size. The sauce was a blend of flavors that take you in a real trip. You will want to go back every chance you can. The rice had some pink ginger on top and the greens had a vinaigretteband it wasnt drowned in it oerfectly done. This dish is a must try. Fish cooked to perfection no "fishy" taste just a perfectly blended medley of deliciousness. We added a beet and goat cheese salad and the surprising addition of pine nuts and some secrets leads me to say that while I've had this salad at many different restaurants this was by far the best I've had to date. EVER. There is a bar with seating and it looked social and fun. It is a safe environment and ladies that is important. Nalu's wins my heart as a musician because they ahve live artists performing nightly and wonderful happy hour specials. This would be a great place on a date or single. Casual seating for the restaurant and kid friendly. The hostess to the servers will make you feel like family. Everything was explained to us newbies and I was impressed with how cheerful and fun everyone was that was on staff. They clearly treat their people well and it shows. I can not wait to go again. We grabbed a couple t shirts on the way out. Plenty of free parking. Casual seating (we had a chicken run through) so cute. No problem hearing each other as we sat and talked avout the insane flavors of the food. The kettle chips... Best ever and clearly made fresh there. Every time my sister turned her head i stole her chips lol. My niece loved her grilled cheese and the child is picky. The fruit bowl was beautiful and fresh fresh fresh. As was every dish. Do yourself a favor and go to Nalu's NOW. Tell them Meek sent you and you need to try the lilikoi fresh fish pronto. Perfect for a date and or family outing.

Da Kitchen, located in Kihei and Kahului, is a popular restaurant on Maui known for its generous portions of classic Hawaiian food. Despite its suburban strip-mall location, it attracts both locals and tourists with its island soul food, including signature dishes like chicken katsu and teriyaki beef. The airport location offers a wider selection, featuring traditional plate-lunch-style fare as well as burgers and sandwiches.
One of the best places to eat in Maui. We came in a Tuesday for lunch and the inside was packed so we ordered to-go and ate outside. Every single bite of every item on our plate was perfection. The Musubi was heavy on the nori flavor, which I love, but my husband doesn’t so I mostly got to have that all to myself. The meats were tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Many weeks later and we’re still talking about how this is one of the best meals we ate. On our Maui go-to list now forever! Oh, and the staff were all so freaking nice!!

The food was good but not great. Deep fried spam musubi had a thin sliver of spam and the rest was rice. $31 for garlic noodles with 1 piece of chicken (picture below), way overpriced for the amount of chicken you get. We waited an hour to order and get our food.

I came here based on the reviews. While you do get a lot of food for your money, I’m not sure I’m convinced that it was as great as some of these reviews. We ordered the mixed plate and the loco moco. Both were ok. The mixed plate came with katsu chicken and mahi as well as a piece of chicken thigh and a piece of sliced beef plus rice and mac salad. The loco moco came with a burger patty, egg, topped with sautéed onions, rice and mac and cheese. It’s a very heavy meal. The dishes didn’t have a lot of flavor. Our server was nice and friendly.

Loco Moco was good but not great. Standouts were the fried spam musubi and the guava cheesecake (a must-order. Not overly sweet). Prices for portion size were good. My husband and I split the Loco Moco and had leftovers.

Epic Hawaiian Plate Lunch at Da Kitchen — massive portions, bold flavors, zero regrets! Summary of Experience: My partner and I dropped in at Da Kitchen in Kihei for lunch, craving something local and hearty. We each went for combo/mixed-plate style – I ordered the Chicken Katsu + Kalua Pork combo; my partner got the Mixed Plate (teriyaki chicken, teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, breaded mahi mahi). The restaurant was clean, service friendly, atmosphere relaxed. The food: generous (seriously), full of flavor, a great sampler of Hawaiian classics all in one meal. Overall Opinion & Recommendation: If you’re anywhere near Kihei and want to dive into Hawaiian comfort food, Da Kitchen is absolutely worth your lunch hour (or dinner, for that matter). The food hits the sweet spot between comforting and exciting. The katsu was crispy in all the right ways, the kalua pork tender, smoky, perfect balance of salt without being overwhelming. The mixed plate — you get a little something from each favorite: mahi-mahi brought crisp fish flavor, the teriyaki meats offered sweet/umami uplift, and the chicken katsu brought that crunchy texture. Add rice, macaroni salad etc., and you’ve got a feast. Portions are huge — you might end up taking home leftovers. The vibe: casual Hawaiian plate lunch, no pretenses, just solid local eats. Clean space, good service makes it even better. Recommendation: Highly recommend. Go if you want to try multiple Hawaiian classics in one go, especially if you’re hungry. It’s ideal for sharing, sampling, or just if you want something filling and tasty without fancy fuss. If I come back, I’ll continue trying more combos/mixed plates—this is the kind of spot you visit not just once, but multiple times.

Island salad is my run away favorite here. It’s been a while since I was in Hawaii and had plate lunch. So long ago that prices have ga-gillioned? $35 for the Hawaiian? Sheesh. Used to be plate lunch was the affordable way to eat. Food was good though. Lau lau was good. Kilua pork was salty but delicious. Rice was rice. And a very little itty bitty salmon teaser. Won’t be back but happy we went. Can’t recommend at these prices.

Garlic Noodles were good. Chicken katsu lacked flavor, Kalbi ribs, korean chicken were mediocre and and the fried musubi was strangely sweet? Mac salad always good. Very busy establishment and the servers worked well.

Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice in Kihei and Lahaina is a must-visit spot for shave ice enthusiasts. They are known for their exotic flavors like pickled mango, lychee, and passion fruit. The shave ice is made with gourmet Maui-made ice cream at the bottom, extra fine shaved ice, and topped with their delicious local favorite juices and other optional toppings.
We have tried a few shaved ice places on the island and this is easily the best one! There is plenty of flavors to choose from and they also have something called snow cap which is a condensed sweeten milk for an additional $1. I added this to my grape/ orange ice and it was good. My son got the cotton candy and it tastes just like it. My wife got the mango coconut and she said it was good as well. The only issue is the long lines, this is worth it as they do not skimp on anything. We got the keiki (kids) which was plenty for each of us. This is a must go place if you have about an hour to kill. From the photos you will see from where it was taken it was about 35 minutes of a wait. Don't pass this place up just cause the lines are long. The parking is terrible but get past that and you will enjoy.

What a great local spot! You can tell how popular it is because even on a Wednesday afternoon the place was packed. If you’re looking for an authentic Hawaiian shaved ice experience, this is the quintessential place to go. I’ll admit, I’m not usually a huge fan of shaved ice, but the flavor combinations here were fantastic and the toppings were really unique. You even have the option to add ice cream, which makes it extra fun. The vibe is beachy, laid-back, and full of local charm. Yes, there was a long line, but it was absolutely worth the wait. The shaved ice itself was perfection—generous portions, bold flavors, and plenty of toppings. They definitely don’t skimp here. If you’re in Maui, this is a must-visit treat spot.

Popular shaved ice spot with multiple locations. Came here for an afternoon sweet treat and ordered the Local Motion with the snow cap and macadamia nut ice cream. The Ulu size was good for two and we really enjoyed the mixture of the condensed milk with the shaved snow. You pay and order first before receiving your order. They have a free parking lot. Be careful with the birds because they are aggressive in trying to steal a bite of your dessert.

Ululani’s was very delicious. We had shaved ice a few places but these were the best. We got a few different flavors and they were all fantastic.

Best shave ice I’ve had during my vacation! Their ice is fluffy and holds its shape and the syrups are concentrated and flavorful. We ordered the Jem’s jam which had strawberry, guava and pickled mango, with the hi ling mui drizzle. It’s sweet and tangy, absolutely delicious!

One of the best shaved ice! Got it with mochi and vanilla ice cream. There is chicken roaming around so be careful friendly but they do like to nibble on shaved ice cream too! Popular with tourist!

Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice is hands down the best shave ice I’ve had in Hawaii — and I’ve tried four different places! The texture is unbelievably soft and fluffy, and the flavors taste so fresh and vibrant. You can really tell they use high-quality syrups and ingredients. The service was friendly, and everything was made perfectly. If you’re going to try shave ice anywhere in Hawaii, make sure it’s here. Nothing else compares — 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back before departure.

Came here on a nice hot day after the farmers market nearby. There is a line since it is popular but well worth the wait. We got the flavors from top 9 that are supposed to be locally sourced. We got the Mango, guava and passion fruit with hazelnut ice cream. It was great
