Westford in 1 day

If you only have 1 day to spend in Westford, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Westford offers a small-town New England feel with historic buildings, scenic conservation land, and a classic town common. Visitors can ski or snowboard at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in winter and enjoy its tubing park. In warmer months, Kimball Farm is a popular stop for homemade ice cream, mini golf, and seasonal activities. The town also makes a convenient base for exploring the Greater Boston and Merrimack Valley regions.
With favorites like Thai on the Fly, Nashoba Valley Tubing Park, and Whole Foods Market, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like The Sunset Tiki Bar and Thai on the Fly so you can get the best taste of Westford while you’re here. Kimball Farm Westford is a beloved destination offering a variety of outdoor activities and delicious homemade ice cream. Visitors can enjoy mini-golf, bumper boats, and batting cages, making it an ideal spot for a day out with friends or family. The farm's rich history dates back to 1939 when it was founded as an ice cream stand in a converted dairy barn. Today, it has expanded to four locations across Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Excellent place for family fun! There's fun for all ages, and the location is beautiful. The food is varied and affordable. The ice cream is delicious! You have to try it before leaving; you won't regret it. The key is to arrive early so you have time to do several things and not get caught waiting for each attraction. My family and I are already planning to return soon to do the rest of the activities we couldn't do on this visit.
Nathy K — Google review
We had such a good time with the family at this spot! The kids (age 4,6 and 16) enjoyed mini golf, batting cages, driving range, petting zoo, zip lining, bumper cars and bumper boats. It wasn’t super crowded and there weren’t any lines. I had a lobster roll for dinner that was fine and the kids had hot dogs and grilled cheese. We also had ice cream (of course) which was served in VERY GENEROUS portions. We will definitely go back when we’re in town again!

We had our team event here with Amazon Robotics and it was an absolute blast! Kimball Farm in Westford is the perfect spot for group outings – there’s so much to do, from mini golf and bumper boats to batting cages and driving range. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff kept everything running smoothly for our group. Of course, the highlight was the legendary ice cream – huge portions and so many delicious flavors. The food options are great too, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for team events, family outings, or just a fun day with friends. Highly recommend!

Place is really great in regards to style and things to do. The Mini Golf courses are incredible and are probably the best in all of New England in my view. The only issue is it's so busy. There are hundreds of people and would be so much more enjoyable if it wasn't mobbed . The parking lots are packed, the ice cream lines are 50 feet back , and the driving range was packed full on a Saturday night in August. Beautiful at night.
Matt M — Google review
I have been to the Lancaster location, but this location has way more activities. There's mini golf, a driving range, batting cages, bumper boats, and more. The country store is open late. The ice cream is delicious, but the sizes are weird. You can only get two flavors in a large. Definitely a fun summer spot.
Adnan S — Google review
I was so excited to go get some ice cream last Monday . This place was so full ,there was no stop cars come in and go out . I walking around a littler bit going to the stores and getting some gifts , littler too expensive but it worth it . Then we go get ice cream and I chose strawberry and chocolate , hubby got pistachio. And this girl filled his ice cream so much . But ice cream was absolutely delicious and so refreshing, I need to go back there before summer ends. The line for get ice cream was not too long cuz they have a lot of window services so we didn’t had to wait that long . I love it 🥰
Perrrfect_ Q — Google review
Such a fun place. They sell ice cream, delicious fried seafood, burgers, hot dogs, etc. and have different activities throughout the complex that you pay and wait for. Lines were really long on a Saturday, which is expected, but doesn’t let you do as much. Fried seafood platter is delicious, costs $50 or so. They don’t let you do any substitutions when ordering.

If you are looking for somewhere the whole family can enjoy, this is the place. There’s no admission fee, you can purchase for 3 or 5 games bracelet. Mini golf, bumper boat, and touching the ferret were my kid’s favourite. Highly recommended!

Kimball Farm Miniature Golf

Kimball Farm Miniature Golf is a family-friendly destination in Westford, MA offering 36 holes of mini-golf with caves, bridges, and waterfalls. In addition to mini-golf, visitors can enjoy bumper boats, batting cages, arcade games, and delicious homemade ice cream at the on-site parlor. The venue also features circular bumper boats and a zip line for children.
Kimball's has two intertwined miniature golf courses to choose from (Waterfall or Mine) in a well-kept nature setting. Both courses are great fun and I can't decide which I like better. There is a discount for a replay if you are up to doing both courses in one outing.

Go for the ice-cream. Forget the rest. The park admits too many people and yet are happy to sell you 3-ride or 5-ride wrist bands without any warning that the lines for all activities are 1hr+ long. We wanted to be at the park for a few hours (2-5pm), bought a x3 wrist-band thinking we'd bang out 3 rides, eat ice cream, and leave. We only had enough time to do bumper-boats - once. The actual time in the boat was ~3minutes vs the ~1.5hrs in line. After seeing similarly long lines for other activities (bumper-cars/zip-line/batting cages), we bailed. Mini-golf? Forget it, 2.5-3hr wait time (this was posted). Felt very ripped off for a single-use $28 x3-ride pass for both kids to go on bumper boats for a few measly minutes. No thanks. Hard pass next year.
Carl S — Google review
Perfect place to enjoy outside for any age, delicious food and ice cream, it’s a place to have fun with family and friends!
Fran M — Google review
Such a great place to bring my 5-year-old granddaughter and my teenage son! Each year, she's entranced with different things -- although the misting tent is always a highlight, lol! Animal shows, pony rides, bumper boats are all faves. While my son loves the driving range, bumper cars, zip line, and such. Pricing is great if you get a 3-ride or 5-ride bracelet. Air-conditioned arcade time is always welcome at the end (with complimentary passes with 5 bracelet). Setting is beautiful and wooded with rides separated by trees and gardens -- definitely doesn't feel crowded like an amusement park. Food is okay but pricey and not a lot of options for vegetarians or vegans (basically a veggie burger and sides). Ice cream is as good as they say, but be prepared to wait.
Brenna M — Google review
Kimball farm is top notch, good ice cream and food. The place is very large and easy to spend hours there. Maybe go a little off hours because it gets very crowded especially when they have events and parties.
Fred — Google review
First time. Parking was ok. Mini golf was busy had to wait awhile on each hole. The bumper cars were alot of fun since then could spin in circles. The batting bases were also fun. The zip line is definetly more a child attraction. The food was good ice cream too. Everything was priced decently.
A W — Google review
It's hard to give them an honest review, because the problem they face is that they are too popular. What a horrible thing to write. I guess if there was a way to decrease wait times for everything, it would be better, but I don't know how they could do that. A 2 hour wait for mini golf is excessive, but it's because everyone wants to play. It's a little crazy. Ice cream is great, and the burger I had for lunch was actually surprisingly good. Big, thick patties ... Overall, I think if you could take a day off during the week, when there's a chance that there are less people, you'll have a great time.
Chris G — Google review
The fact that they only allow one parent in sucks ! We were two moms with two 9y old kids and one of us had to stay out missing taking pics and the whole point of bringing the kids and hang out with others . It’s not a business that supports the family… just a business! So disappointing!

Nashoba Valley Tubing Park is a popular winter destination offering ski lessons, rentals, and the largest snow tubing facility in New England. With over 600 snow tubes and 18 lanes, it promises an ultimate snow adventure for all ages. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of online ticket booking and access to fake snow, making it less weather-dependent than other locations. The park's proximity to Boston makes it a convenient choice for those seeking snowy thrills without traveling far.
Very fun! We went early as soon as they opened and we managed to get a great amount of runs! Staff was friendly. It did get very crowded when we were leaving so definetly try to go off peak times.

We went on a Wednesday early afternoon for the 2 hr slots, which wasn’t too busy at the time. There’s usually a discount on Wednesday but for that week because it was February vacation, it was not valid sadly. For $48 per person, you get to rent the tube but you have to provide your own winter gear. Later on the afternoon, it got pretty busy where the lines were getting hard to be organized. We were able to get about 6-7 rides before our 2 hr time was up. There’s a conveyor belt that brings you up to the slopes, which there is a smaller one and a bigger one. There’s at least seven lanes which two of them are reserved for the little ones. The experience of going down is super fun, the only downside is wait time and the staff isn’t really keen especially when the lines get really long. There’s people that tend to cut/ roughhouse or try to match with their sliding partners. I definitely recommend going in the morning
V — Google review
It was fun, sure but definitely more for kids. Only 2 hills, next to each other with maybe 7 lanes on each. Pretty basic. It would be a lot more fun if they added some turns, slopes, anything to make it a bit more thrilling. We went with 2 adults and 2 older teenagers (16 and 17) and we were over it before the 2 hour window expired.
Mark S — Google review
We arrived on time, at the moment we have been standing in line to go down for 46 minutes and have not gone down even once. Very disorganized lines. There are 6 more people in front of us, and most likely for 100 dollars we will only go down twice!!!!
Виктория Д — Google review
Paid $45 per person for 2hours slot. Online ticket then show them the order number at the front. Fake snow here so doesn’t rely on weather as much. Don’t need to drive to NewHampshire. This is close to Boston. Although New Hampshire ones are about $10 cheaper per person they sell out faster too. Glad this was open. Lots of parking available. Food for sale. pizza looked good. Tried the fried Oreos Super oily came floating in oil. Had to pour it out. Next time I’ll just get the pizza They have bathrooms actually well maintained. Didn’t smell. And warmer than portapottu The lines get long once you’re up on the hill. I think it took about 15 between each ride. Hold on to your hats lots of people dropped theirs and slowed down the rides as staff needed to grab items in lanes. The staff were friendly and nice. 👍 Overall good experience would try to go on a less busy day next time.
Juma N — Google review
Fun couple of hours My kids really enjoyed themselves here - we went early in the day so it wasn't too busy - it got really busy around lunch time. We got in about a dozen runs in the 2 hour window. Snow was good condition - the tubes went fast. There is a shack with drinks and food available (not great and too expensive) and portable johns. The employees at the top helping navigate the lines and get the people down the hill were trying to manage more than one line per person, this caused a delay in some of the more popular lanes. Overall, we had fun, 2 hours is a good time limit, and we'd go back again.
Paulette G — Google review
Went with my 3 kids 8-14 years old. We arrived at 9:30 and had a great first few runs. By 10:30 it was getting crowded and the waiting was not fun. We did not stay the full 2 hours as the crowds were too much; fun but not worth waiting 15 minutes to go down. Considering the $42/person price and the fact that we did not stay the whole time, I don’t think we will go back. If you are going, we would strongly recommend an early arrival to avoid the crowds. Fun for all ages, but steep price and crowded by late morning.
Peter A — Google review
Good quality hygiene and safety measures followed, especially in COVID-19 times. Snow is well maintained even in late season. Tickets get booked quickly and hence need to be on your toes once the calendar is declared on their website.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area, located in Westford, Massachusetts, is a charming ski destination with 17 trails and a vertical drop of 240 feet. It's an ideal spot for beginners and intermediate skiers to hone their skills. The resort features a variety of lifts, lessons, and a giant snow tubing park for added fun. The Outlook at Nashoba Valley is a rustic lodge restaurant offering serene mountain views and a cozy ambiance.
The perfect place to learn to ski. Great small mountain, friendly staff and several bunny slope options. I wish I had signed up my kids in time for lessons - they sell out fast! But we have loved going there for 2 or 4-hour windows of skiing, and it’s so easy to get to / get skiing!

I had a great day tubing at Nashoba Valley tubing area. Staff was very helpful, and the weather was perfect. Plenty of lanes to go choose from going down the hill, and really well accommodated for big crowds. Pick out a tube, use the standing lift to get up the hill, and then pick a lane to fly down! Great fun for the whole family, definitely going back someday.
Jillian K — Google review
Kids had great time. Staff was nice, wish there is some sort of process to split the crowd into lanes at the peak. Few lanes are not smooth enough for one to slide all the way down. Try to stick to 3rd and 4th lanes as of this writing.
RK — Google review
Great place to go if you are learning. Great for kids too. Kinda pricey, they have no reason to be that expensive. Staff was friendly and rental and ticket pickup was easy
Don P — Google review
I’ve been here a lot and it’s not bad for a local small ski area but I would say it’s mostly just a mountain to learn to ski although it still is fun even for more experienced skiers. They don’t get quite the same amount of snow anymore naturally but they have good snow making abilities.
Oliver S — Google review
Good small moutain to get your ski legs on. Short ride and nice bar in the lodge. 2 or 3 hours is probably enough per visit. Nice having 4 lifts. Blows away blue hills!
Jeff B — Google review
This is our home ski area. My kid learned skiing here, and leveled up to experienced skier. The trails are relatively short, but good enough for kids and adults for casual skiing. The black diamonds are steep and challenging, great for racing events. We did enjoy this ski area every season!

Too small, and waaaay too expensive for what it is. If you are a beginner, this place is perfect, but if you are anything beyond that, you need to look elsewhere.

Nestled in Westford, MA, The Sunset Tiki Bar is a delightful kid-friendly bar and grill that captures the essence of summer fun. With its inviting swimming hole and vibrant beach menu, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with refreshing tiki drinks. Guests rave about the grilled teriyaki shrimp and wings, which are must-tries alongside their casual bar food designed to complement your drink of choice.
It was very busy at the sunset Tiki bar. Our servers were excellent music was great. One small issue manager took care of immediately. We had a really good time.!

Vibes here are great! Then that’s about where it ends, for the prices they charge you for the mediocre food you would expect more out of this spot, guess that’s what we’re paying for, the atmosphere. Husband & I went for our wedding anniversary just last Fri (7/11) he made note of this all over reservation, no acknowledgments (no big deal) staff did switch our table when we asked. However when I ordered the warm lobster roll for $42 the LAST thing I expected was for it to come out on a hot dog bun?? Lobster was “ok” pretty disappointing. Come on guys, do better…

The Sunset Tiki Bar and Grill in Westford MA is another one of those great hidden gems that more people should know about. Obviously they have great Tiki drinks, but definitely get the grilled teriyaki shrimp and wings, you won't be disappointed. It's also a great place to enjoy live music! They have a great stage and open-air seating area perfectly situated between the bar and the stage as well as additional tent covered seating. Additionally they have a lake Waterfront, with lifeguards on duty, and additional waterfront seating in Adirondack chairs and tables. They also have a small kids playground and games like giant Connect 4 and Cornhole. Located on the opposite side of Nashoba Valley Ski Area , and makes this spot a terrific year-round destination. Another great collab with Greater Merrimack Valley

I’ve been wanting to try this spot for a few years and finally all of our schedules aligned and we headed their way. The atmosphere was a vibe. Super cute. Upon entering there was a small playground complete with a few corn hole boards. We were seated right away. I would definitely make reservations as it gets packed pretty quickly. The day we went was overcast but still enjoyed the view. Our waitress seemed to be in a rush but was fine overall. We order the nachos and for the main course We all pretty much ordered the same meal, Tiki bacon burger which comes with rice, Cole slaw, chips or pasta salad. We each order different sides. The nachos were ok. Nothing special. The burgers lacked seasoning. I asked for crispy bacon but it not what I got. I took most of it off. I ordered the mango tango beverage. For a drink that contained a few different alcohols It tasted like juice. There was live music and definitely a beachy feel which I loved. I would definitely go again but perhaps order something else like a pizza which looked tasty. It’s a little expensive but worth a visit.
Jessica S — Google review
I want to love this place…but the way I am treated by the hostesses and the reservation situation is a nightmare. I have tried to come three times and denied service each time due to not being able to make a reservation. I’m a great paying customer. Being in the service industry, I can’t believe the money they lose by not seating people and turning them away. Empty tables everywhere and no one willing to seat us. Losing money each time on these tables, they turn customers away. Just wish it was a little more lenient for walk ins.

Cynthia G — Google review
This place is a lot of fun, great atmosphere, live music, games and swimming. They serve bar food, It's good for soaking up the alcohol and that's about it. The drinks are mediocre at best, but they get the job done and oftentimes there is a ridiculous line for the bar. Still a fun place to go....I would recommend it

Nestled in Acorn Plaza on Littleton Road, Thai on the Fly is a delightful gem for those craving authentic Asian-Thai cuisine. This cozy eatery features a simple yet inviting cafe atmosphere with a handful of tables and a lovely patio, perfect for enjoying your meal al fresco. The menu boasts an array of classic Thai dishes that burst with complex flavors—think vibrant acidity, fresh herbs, and just the right amount of spice.
I rarely post reviews but this food deserves recognition. I so appreciate the portion sizes for the price, the food is insanely delicious and it was a quick and easy order / pick up process. A new local favorite I'll be ordering from frequently!

Thai on the fly is just delicious! Authentic Thai food made by a Thai chef and made fresh to order! They do delivery as well as order ahead for pick up. Chris is super friendly and charming as well at the front desk. The portion sizes definitely generous, I'll probably be eating my khao pad chicken for the next 2 days! That being said I don't eat a lot...

This place has some of the best Thai food I have ever had! The staff is extremely helpful and answered all my questions and was very attentive to our needs. The prices were extremely cheap, which allowed us to try a wide range of food, and the portion sizes allowed us to have plenty of leftovers for many days to come. We couldn't say enough good things about everything we ate. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing Thai food. I can't wait to go back and bring the rest of my family!
Alicia G — Google review
Second time ordering from them this week. Tastes AMAZING but extremely greasy both times. Lots of oil used for basil fried rice, noodles. I am okay with oil but this is wayyyyy too much! I ate top portion of basil fried rice and threw out the oil settled bottom. That’s more than half the food. Again food is tasty but it would be nice if oil is reduced. (Pictures don’t do full justice)

We ordered takeout from Thai on the Fly out of curiosity. Normally we have to go to Thai Jasmine on route 110 in Chelmsford for Thai food, so we were excited a Thai restaurant was opening 5 minutes driving from where we live. We ordered two lunch specials, with our side choice of dumplings. The ordering process online isn't difficult, but for some reason currently doesn't work with Firefox. After figuring that out, we switched to Google Chrome and the order was processed without a problem. Additional issues with the online ordering: I wasn't prompted to choose whether I wanted steamed or fried dumplings. I remember I looked for the steamed option because I don't love deep fried dumplings, but I gave up. We ordered two entrees: Pad Khing and Pad Thai. I really didn't like the vegetable mixture in the Pad Khing and probably wont order it again. It directly reminded me of canned stir fry vegetables available at the supermarket (baby corn, onion, bean sprouts, *soggy*). I think this dish could benefit from more meat and a smaller selection of vegetables. There are also some small pieces of ginger in the sauce, which my mom didn't love, but I like ginger sauces like that. The pad thai was very average for me. I like a little more flavor than what this one had. I realized on day 2 when reheating leftovers that there was also quite a lot of oil used in making this pad thai because it kind of congealed together in the fridge. I might suggest not making it so oily. Overall, I'd say try this place. Ordering online will hopefully be improved soon, but for now use Google Chrome and it's easy. It gives you a wait time and the food was ready when we got there. Quantity of food is good, prices are good, and diversity of menu choices is also decent. I'll probably try some other dishes in the future and see how I feel then.
Alex B — Google review
Hmmm...I want to like this place. The workers are nice and the food came out fast. Unfortunately the noodles were just made wrong. We picked two easy Thai dishes...Pad See Ew and Pad Kee Mao. Both came out with so mush liquid they were unenjoyable. These dishes should not be so runny that you have to hold your fork for 30 seconds to let them drain. The extra liquid tamps the flavor and ruins the dish. The meal was also way over sweet. The Pad Kee Mao should have a sweet/spicy/sour balance but this is just overpoweringly sweet. As far as spice, they just dumped red pepper flakes on top. Not the finest moment in Thai cooking for sure.
Stefan B — Google review
I ordered a Pad Kra Pao with beef and the included picture is what I received. When I asked for the dish, the woman up front asked me what protein I wanted. This included a shrimp option, which I thought was odd in this context, since it's typically a dish with ground protein and shrimp would be unusual. I opted for beef since it's the typical ground protein we have access to here. What I got was a beef stir fry / boil with more vegetables than meat when it is supposed to be a ground meat forward dish. I'm not even sure what to call it, it doesn't resemble any Pad Kra Pao I've ever had. The 'pad' in Thai implies 'fried' and I don't think anything here was actually fried.. except maybe the chef? I threw my entire lunch away and wasted 15 dollars. Don't waste your money here either.
Evan B — Google review
I wish I could buy a bottle of the sauce they use for the Pad Med Ma Muang and just drink it lol. I was very impressed by my experience there. I got take out. The restaurant was well decorated and looked cool. The service was friendly and fast. Will def go again. They don't have a dining area but they deliver.

Grocery store
Whole Foods Market is an environmentally-friendly establishment that offers a wide range of natural and organic grocery items, household goods, and various other products. The store maintains a high level of cleanliness at all times. While their prices may be slightly higher compared to regular grocery stores, some question if the quality justifies the cost. It seems that some individuals visit primarily to return Amazon purchases when they do not match the description of what Whole Foods sells.
The store is always kept clean. Prices are bit more than regular grocery stores. Nit sure if it's worth the price for the products. Who are we paying this money for? I go there only to return Amazon purchases when they don't match the description of what they sell. That said the employees who work there are very respectful and courteous always. My stars are for them.

5pm on a Saturday and the food bar options VERY limited compared to other Whole Foods. They really only had a salad bar and 1 quinoa salad, hot food choices included only 2 meats and potatoes, nothing looked very fresh. Salmon Chowder ran out and when I asked if they had more they said they couldn't find it and left it empty on the soup bar :/, smelled SO delicious would've loved to try it. Employee recommended I buy it cold and bring it home and heat it up but I just stopped for a quick bite on my lunch break and left pretty disappointed. Pizza Bar also very underwhelming compared to their other locations, they only had cheese and pepperoni, no seasonal options. I bought sushi and they did not have many spicy roll options but I was still very satisfied with the roll I ended up with. I absolutley love Whole Foods but would not come back to this location for a lunch break.

Great deal on Oysters on Friday. For me it's the only good deal on price. Produce is truly high quality. As well as fresh seafood and meats. But you pay for what you get. Of course with the Amazon connection they have cool features. Such as an eCart that syncs with your account and you can ring up your choices as you shop to see the costs and totals live. Plus a discount for Amazon members. Definitely not for the budget conscious shopper. Shop Wisely People

I swore I would never like this store because it used to be market basket growing up but I gave it a try and really like what they did with the place and food is very good. Layout is easy and makes sense. Plus the Amazon package return or pick up is very helpful. It also made market basket move across street in a much better place

Super nice buffet for the week lunch. They have salads; hot food and even some dishes which are made to order. Another highlight is a proper coffee shop inside; where I would normally get a espresso after lunch.

Medium sized Whole Foods store with almost all groceries, meat, bakery, cafe and deli inside. Many deals for prime members. However, not many items in organic produce available. Meat and seafood section is great. Bread section doesn’t have many varieties and most breads are expensive. Some of the bakery items are only available in bulk but for individual items. Haven’t seen much sampling stations at this location.

Spacious and well stocked Whole Foods. They have carts that let you scan items while you shop. They do not have self checkout. There is a Clover Food Lab and Allegro coffee bar.
