The Harbour Town Lighthouse is a must-visit attraction on Hilton Head, South Carolina. Standing at 90 feet tall with its iconic red and white stripes, this half-century-old beacon offers visitors the chance to explore different periods of the state's history on each level. For a fee of $5.75, guests can climb 114 steps to reach the summit and enjoy breathtaking views of Harbour Town Golf Links and the surrounding marsh.
My husband and I LOVED the lighthouse! We got free admission as part of our stay at Sea Pines, and I am so glad that we went! The sky was very clear when we went and it made for an amazing photo opportunity. Additionally, we loved all of the historical artifacts inside the lighthouse to see when walking up the stairs. The gift shop is also very cute and we left with some souvenirs. An amazing experience and we highly recommend. Great place to catch the sunset and an evening smooch 😀

Had the opportunity to visit this landmark that I have always seen on the PGA tour, and now personally for myself. Took the opportunity to visit the store and look at all the cute items they have for sale. Did not have time to actually climb the lighthouse, perhaps next time. The store is full of lots of great items to commemorate your visit. Apparel, souvenirs, jewelry, and lots of books. It is a great place to bring your kids as there are a lot of fantastic items for them. Given that the shop is located in the lighthouse and not a huge footprint of space, and it is tight. So if there are a lot of visitors, it’s kind of tough to move around and see everything. However, it is well worth your time and effort. So stop on by and check it out.

The light house was great! We had a several families with us. The stairs weren't too much. They have a lot of learning facts on every stair platform and all throughout the walls. The kids loved looking and reading about various points in history. I would definitely recommend! The view was spectacular. When youre done you can get something to eat, walk the beach or walk the pier.
Cait O — Google review
Always love visiting the Harbour Town Lighthouse & waterfront! We love walking out on the pier, eating shrimp & finishing off with eating ice cream while rocking in the red rocking chairs at the waterfront looking at the yachts - sometimes returning or even departing!! My only complaint is having to pay $9 to get into the Sea Pines community to get to the lighthouse village. We also noticed an extra $.80 for a "community" charge on our To Go Shrimp Baskets! However - it's a beautiful & peaceful atmosphere and setting!!

Harbor Town Lighthouse in Hilton Head is definitely worth a visit while you’re staying on the island. Be sure to go up the lighthouse around sunset for the most beautiful golden hour photos with your family. The walk from the parking lot to the lighthouse is stunning, with ancient, majestic Southern live oaks draped in Spanish moss — truly a sight to behold. If you enjoy history, the lighthouse has interesting displays, and there’s also a gift shop where you can find unique souvenirs to remember your visit.
Sondra F — Google review
My husband and I had fun at the lighthouse. There is a $9 fee to get into the Sea Pines area and then $7.50 per person to go up the lighthouse. There is a store at the bottom and at the top. Up the stairs on each level are artifacts and history of the island and the lighthouse. Outside the lighthouse is lots of seating, stores, and restaurants. It was very cute and quaint.
Kristen — Google review
The cost to climb the stairs is $7.50 per person. What a great surprise to find that active duty and Veterans entry fee is waived with no cost, but we had to ask as they don't advertise it or ask you. The climb up the stairs/museum is very educational and interesting if you take the time to look and read. Most people just hurry up the stairs to the top without taking the time to enjoy. Once you are at the top, the views of the water, marina and of course the world renowned 18th fairway of Harbour Town Golf Links, are Phenomenal. We even got to see dolphins out in the water. One suggestion is take quarters with you as they have smashed Penny machines as you climb and viewers at the top. There is a gift shop both at the top and bottom. We'll worth the visit just for the views
Thomas L — Google review
The face of Hilton head. Pretty lighthouse with nice views. Truly iconic. The surrounding shops are ok and the restaurants are expensive. Just know before you go that to enter the neighborhood is 9 dollars and to go up the light house is 7.

Marina
Freeport Marina is a lively spot where visitors can enjoy a variety of activities. The marina offers dock space for boaters and is conveniently located near a restaurant, bar, and general store. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly play area with sprinklers, while adults can relax and take in the stunning sunset views. Live music adds to the vibrant atmosphere, making it a popular hangout for locals and tourists alike. However, some guests have noted that smoking can be pervasive in certain areas.
Great food, friendly staff, live music, kids activities! I love the new menu. There is always something fun happening. This is a great place to watch the sunset on DI ❤️

Lots of dock space. Day usage is $10 per vessel. Right next to the restaurant/bar and general store, where we rented golf carts to explore the island.

Sunset? Ain’t nuthin like it. Crab co with Bologna Samich. Dive bar. Locals. Great crusty bartenders. Laughs, stories, bands, take the Ferry and come on. Ain’t no outlet malls, ladies, but lots of laughs.
Johnny M — Google review
Absolutely had a blast. Stayed at one of the little cottages right there from Thursday til Sunday morning. We ate our food there at the Daufuskie crab co and enjoyed the bar and music. The bartenders worked their butts off and did it well. There is a great play area for kids with sprinklers going. Everyone is friendly and Freeport Marina and Daufuskie Crab Co are a great place to relax.

In 2011, i was kayaking from Miami to Montreal. I was in bad shape when i saw these docks. Stopped for food and a woman offered me a cabin for free. i was and i'm still grateful! I'll have to stop at the restaurant some day! thanks! btw i did get to Montreal ;)
Rene P — Google review
BEWARE!!!!! If you do not choose the Marina owners preferred golf cart company you will be charged $20 per golf cart you rent on island. This is a very unfair practice for other business owners. You are given no warning you will be charged an additional fee until you land at the marina. You are allowed to choose only ferry travel so why are you charged for choosing a different golf cart rental company that has a better price. We were so shocked we paid the ransom so we could enjoy our time on the island. Very awful practice!!!!

Only downside was all of the smoking. Food was great but hard to enjoy with cigarette smell everywhere. Music was amazing and the bartender was on point!

Seafood restaurant
Daufuskie Crab Co is a casual seafood spot located near the ferry on Daufuskie Island. The atmosphere is laid-back, with a busy bar area where you can place orders. The food, including Spicy Shrimp and Peel 'n Eat Shrimp, has received positive reviews. While the shrimp basket and deviled crab were tasty, it's worth noting that sides like fries are not included in the dishes.
Really great food with laid-back Island vibes. Great service from the very friendly staff. AMAZING sunset views. I really enjoyed eating here while I was working on the island. The Cooper River Sandwich is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for that sort of thing. If you want something more formal, the grouper plate is so delicious!

The bar server was really friendly and the food was surprisingly really good. Must try the crab appetizer and fish tacos. The view over the water during an early sunset was enjoyable. It’s a great go to on the island where dining options are challenging it good to know this is a good place to plan on eating a lot at!!!

First time on Daufuskie and we had a good time. Fun little crab restaurant, basic menu, drinks and live music. The only downside is you have to pay $10 to go onto the island. Also food definitely took awhile, we went on a busy Friday. Felt very hot, sticky and crowded. Drinks were good and we met some fun vacationers. Definitely a dive, I liked it
Sammie M — Google review
Fun place with a beachy, party feel but still family friendly. Open air bar. Full bar. Restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. Clean restrooms. Good food, priced as expected. Fast, friendly service.
Kristy C — Google review
This is the type of place you expect if you're going to an island. Outdoor seating and tons of it, music, great drinks, and great atmosphere. You have a beautiful view of the water from just about anywhere you sit. The only thing that surprised me was they don't offer po boys. I mean there's seafood you would think that would be a requirement. But even without that the food was really good. We went on a nice cool day so we didn't have to worry about bugs but I can imagine as it gets hotter those mosquitoes are going to be bad so make sure you douse yourself before you go.

The people here make this place! The food is very good, and the scrap Iron tea is delicious. Just be careful with them, they will sneak up on you.

First time to Daufuskie Island. Had a wonderful day on the Island and came back to wait for the ferry and stopped at the Old Daufuskie Crab outside bar. The bartender with the brown hair, a ponytail and a purple headband needs to go and take some customer service courses. When you work at a bar especially a "beach bar" you should know how to treat customers and being disrespectful to them and not even smiling at them is extremely rude. He literally acted like he hated his job. The other bartender with the red beard knew how to treat customers. He was very kind. If I ever have the privilege of coming back to the Island, I will NOT stop there if he is working. Learn how to treat people. He needs to realize people touring the island is how he makes his paycheck.

Hard to express how much we loved this place! My family and I spent a week on daufuskie and we started every day at school grounds coffee! Pam and Brian are incredible people. Their story is incredible, their coffee is better than any chain or craft spot I’ve been to and Pam’s pastries belong on a Netflix baking competition show. Thank you for welcoming us to daufuskie. You made our trip all the better. We’ll miss y’all!

Located on Daufuskie Island in South Carolina, the oldest winery in the state, Silver Dew Winery, is definitely worth a visit. With its friendly service and a selection of three great wines to taste, it offers an enjoyable experience. The beautiful grounds provide a serene atmosphere for relaxation while enjoying a glass of wine outdoors. In addition to the winery itself, visitors can also explore the small museum and gift shop on site.
Absolutely gorgeous place! The gift shop was wonderfully decorated, and the main museum had some really cool artifacts, as well as a very educational video. If you have a chance to make it up stairs, you can see a few of the local artists on display as well! Then, as you walk around the property, you can enjoy the small orchard where they make the wine and a really cool eagles nest out back! We picked up a couple of really neat games and jewelry as well. 10/10 will go again.

It's a very nice little Museum an Shop attached to a little Vinyard. The Lady operating it was very nice and helpful. In the back of the Property is a little lake and an Eagles Nest, that you an watch. The shopkeeper showed us around and gave us a pair of binoculars to look out for the Eaglets who are currently being nursed by their Eagle Mama! Also there is baby Alligators in the pond. I took so many pictures. The shopkeeper also gave me her Email, but unfortunately it didn't save on my phone. So I am posting the pictures here, hoping she will find them. Definitely worth a visit! I'll revisit, when I get the chance to be on this beautiful Island the next time.

If you can get to Daufuskie Island and can take the time to rent a Golf Cart to tour the island, this is a must stop. The Museum brings you back in time and the Winery is So quaint and charming. They have one wine that is made from the vines grown on property, I’d guess it’s perhaps a 1/5 of an acre of vines. And it was good. We were there on a weekend so the tasting hut was open. Ms . Peace behind the counter was so friendly and inviting and ready to help. We did the 5 wine tasting and each one was fairly unique. The bulk of their wine is m from Hilton Head Island Winery. Definitely will be a regular stop when we boat over with visiting friends and family.

What a wonderful hidden gem on a wonderful island. Lots of historical information and artifacts in the Lighthouse Museum. Quaint gift store with numerous handmade and local crafts. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous.

We had so much fun stopping by here. We did the flight so we could try a little bit of each and absolutely loved everyone we tried. Our host it was so knowledgeable on each wine and really helped us to get the true flavors out. Of course we had to buy a couple bottles before we left but we had so much fun and loved just sitting there enjoying the beautiful weather and the great company.

The oldest winery in South Carolina. So worth the trip to Daufuskie Island. Tasted 3 wines. All very good and friendly service. The grounds were simply beautiful! If we had more time would have grabbed a few glasses and relaxed outside, but, we had other stops to make. Be sure to check out the small museum and gift shop. Highly recommended!

Quarterdeck is a recently renovated and reimagined restaurant located at the base of the Harbour Town Lighthouse in Hilton Head. With its coastal decor, stunning views of the Calibogue Sound, and charming outdoor seating, it offers an ideal spot to enjoy southern seafood favorites while watching yachts and fishing boats come and go. The menu features fresh seafood as well as chicken, meat, and vegetarian options.
This place is right by the water and has a beautiful view! We got the Thai salad with chicken and the fried fish. The chicken was so tender and delicious! The salad in general was so fresh and tasty. My husband loved his meal, and wow those fries are addicting! It’s family friendly; and with the views makes it perfect for an early dinner!

Spectacular water and lighthouse view, delicious food and plentiful portions. Lots of indoor and outdoor tables, all with a water view. Not a bad seat in the restaurant. Two large bars (one upstairs and one down) with very comfortable stools with backs and arms. We had the salmon special with lobster risotto and grilled asparagus. Beautiful presentation and cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the fried shrimp plate served w/Asian slaw, French fries and hush puppies. Huge portions and also cooked to perfection! What made our meal and dining experience extra special was our server De-Mario. His service was friendly, attentive, informative and charming!! We will definitely be back!

We had reservations at 430 pm on a Friday. Quarterdeck is a beautiful place. We were seated upstairs. We had a great waitress Rose. The Shrimp appetizer was outstanding. I had the filet mignon. Perfectly cooked, and great piece of steak. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. There are beautiful views, and nice atmosphere. Tables are spaced well, it does not feel crowded. I give this restaurant top recommendation! The staff were are all exceptional, and well trained. Very calm, beautiful, and excellent food.

Dropped in today based off a recommendation from our tour guides at the Lawton Stables. The views here are incredible! Definitely a front seat of the local harbor. In addition to this the she-crab soup was delightful... we also enjoyed the hush puppies (which had an Asian flair that was interesting) and the crab cake sandwich (gigantic and a good bang for your buck. ) Our server was Kari and she never steered us wrong. Her recommendations and winning personality really made our visit. Thank you so much!

Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere and view. Attentive and friendly service. I had the shrimp and grits and it was the best I have ever had - 10/10. My husband had the catch of the day which was served over clam chowder - he very much enjoyed it. We shared the turtle brownie. Loved the experience and the ambiance. You’ll need to get a reservation to eat here but you can do it from Google. We brought our dogs with us and they sat underneath our table on the outdoor deck.

Attentive staff, beautiful views and amazing food. We had the baby wedge, jumbo shrimp cocktail, stuffed clams with blue crab meat and the fillet with fingering potatoes. All were delicious 😋! Our waitress Rose was amazing, kind and informative.
Stacie W — Google review
We had an amazing meal at the Quarterdeck. This is our second time coming to this restaurant, and we had such a great experience the last time, we thought it could not be topped. But we were wrong, as this experience was even better. We started out with their delicious hush puppies. One of our party members had a shellfish allergy, and they accidentally fried the hush puppies in the common fryer. But they immediately corrected in and brought us a new batch that was allergy friendly. I got the Filet, that was cooked to perfection and my other party member got the blackened shrimp that was delicious as well. All in all, the food and dessert were excellent. A big shoutout to our server, Kuldeep who not only took amazing care of us, but went above and beyond with our kids. Not only did he provide great service, but at the end of our meal, he very sweetly brought the kids an ice cream cone. That made their night and put a big exclamation mark on already great night. We will be back!

American restaurant
CQ's Restaurant is an upscale dining spot in Harbour Town, Sea Pines community, offering a seafood-focused American menu with regional ingredients. Housed in a charming building designed by Ralph Ballantine in 1970, it exudes an old-world charm with wooden floors, banister steps, and vintage photographs. The restaurant boasts a rich history that reflects the Lowcountry's past. Despite its historical ambiance, CQ's offers contemporary American cuisine every evening from 5 p.m.
I've been here twice before and had a great time, but words CANNOT describe how my most recent meal here went above and BEYOND what I remember of this place; my family practically had a six course meal! SIX! Before I get into the food, the restaurant itself. This is most certainly a fancy and fine dining establishment, and the vibe from both exterior and interior certainly radiate that further. The soft candlelit esque interior lighting gives off an impression of a simpler, bygone era, and it works great for my tastes! In reference to the food, I admit I might be using the word "course" a bit lightly, given how the first "course" was the standard bread rolls and butter you would expect from just about any place. But hey, you can't beat a classic! :) Our second course was the salad course. My mother had the Roasted Beets & Arugula Salad, father had the Pear Salad, and I helped myself to a delicious Caesar Salad with anchovies! I'm a bit of a sucker for the highly salty fish, and it paired well with the salad! For beverages, I have never cared for alcohol, so I just went with a water and root beer, but my folks had...well, I don't remember, but they had a selection from the HUGE selection (and just as costly) wine list. They certainly weren't disappointed! The third course was this special item Ravioli looking thing that I can't recall the name of, but it had meat stuffed inside. Our fourth and main entree course followed next, where my mom and I ordered some delectable Marinated Grilled Shrimp, and Dad had...I think it was the Grilled Atlantic Salmon? Course #5 consisted of our main dessert order, where I partook in the Key Lime Pie with strawberry syrup, and they had...forgive me for forgetting the name again, they had some kind of salted caramel brownie square. The sixth and final course consisted of the big and complementary chocolate circles that they gave us when the bill arrived. They even have a special Christmas menu too! TL;DR A fine dining experience with elegant food out the wazoo! If you are staying in the area and are looking for something more than ordinary, look no further than CQ's!

A visit to CQ's while visiting Hilton Head is a "must do". The staff is wonderful, the bartender on point and the food is out of this world. Our party of 9 ordered across the board from salad, chicken seafood and beef. No one was disappointed. The lobster ravioli was delicious. Separate checks? No problem! Make the time to visit this quaint and personable restaurant.

I first would like to say we had impeccable service from Peter!! So attentive and knowledgeable! The ribeye special was out of this world. It was well worth the price. The bone in porkchop was outstanding too! Beautiful place to enjoy and relax.

This was a great spot for parents to take their grown children! It is a unique building with a cool history, and the food matches the experience! We all got our meals prepared to our liking, and relatively quickly. Our waiter was very personable and made sure to go above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. Thanks so much!
Alane S — Google review
We all enjoyed our food, the historical Lowcountry ambiance, and the fabulous service! Unlike some of the other venues in Sea Pines this restaurant isn't a total tourist trap. It is fine dining style food in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is family friendly but all the children were well behaved. The pork chop was divine! I'm not a big pork eater but I was quite limited for choice because most of the menu is seafood and I was very pleased with the chop, the bourbon sauce and the sides that it came with. The decor is very cozy, traditional and quaint. I wouldn't recommend sitting outside in the summer because Hilton head has too many mosquitoes. But their patio looks like it would be quite nice for the spring. The Only complaint is that both the Bouillabaisse and Clam dishes both had some grit in them. Maybe the clams could use some extra cleaning or something. The beet salad was okay nothing special, the scallops were very nice and the Bouillabaisse was a southern Creole twist on the dish with andouille sausage. My fellow diners didn't care for the lack of crusty bread with their saucy seafood dishes, but that's a very minor and particular gripe.
Lauren D — Google review
We were pleasantly surprised by the place, which is very atmospheric! I wouldn’t have been surprised if a phantom had walked by! However, the starters were laughably spare for the price: the beet salad had but a sliver of actual beet. I had a steak, which was well cooked but was not great quality, with chewy pieces of fat that made it seem like it was lower quality meat served. The cocktails were strong, thankfully, and the wine list varied. Deserts were forgettable.

We went 3 for 3: medium rare 8oz filet cooked perfectly. High quality Ahi tuna prepared perfectly, along with fantastic crab cakes. Our service was outstanding as well.

Lucy Bell's is a popular spot on the island with a long line, but the service is quick. The outdoor seating under Spanish oak trees provides a beautiful setting to enjoy their delicious food, which includes large portions and diverse options like cheeseburgers and blackened redfish. Despite some menu items being unavailable, the available dishes are described as tasty. However, there were concerns about the business's stance on COVID-19 measures that may affect future support.
We loved Lucy Bell's!! The atmosphere is so serene, with music playing and outdoor seating both in the front under a large oak tree and on the back deck! The food was also delicious and filling! I can see why this place is the place that everyone recommends trying during your stay on Daufuskie Island!

We rolled up in our golf carts, went inside and ordered at the register. A very nice man took our order and we got our sweet tea. Not overly sweet, good flavor! Outside under the beautiful shade tree to wait. Only about 5 minutes and our food was brought out to us. Party of 10, everything was correct and looked amazing. It tasted just as good! Po boy, fish tacos, pico and chips, Turkey sandwich and the deviled crab, with very large peel and eats as one of my sides. Their menu is large and they seem to do a steady flow of business. This was the highlight of our day on Daufuskie!

LISTEN!!! You must eat here. Geneva and Brad make you feel at home and the food is fresh, fast and honestly absolutely delicious. We had The deviled crab, onion rings, peel and eat shrimp, the salad trio (chicken salad, shrimp salad, pasta salad). If you do not like celery do not order this. Fortunately I love celery, it was so fresh and crisp it must be grown out back. I would not have guessed it but the Burger was amazing as well. Oh and that Pimento cheese dip!! This place is not on the map you get from the general store, make sure they mark it for you it is like finding a treasure.

We went to tour the island by golf cart and when we passed Lucy's it was packed but there was a clear table in the shade! So we stopped for lunch. I had the Food Network Deviled Crab plate. It was absolutely delicious!! The crab was awesome and the collard greens where phenomenal, my wife even said the greens were good!! If you tour the Island stop in at Lucy Bell's

So the options on the island are slim. We accidentally stumbled onto this place and it was a great thing...we were getting so hungry. The line was out the door but moved quick. You walk in and order and walk out the other side. You sit down outside and they bring the food to you. This place had a huge crowd and the food was decent. Large portions and no one left hungry. Not sure if we were that hungry or it was that good but everyone ate and no one complained, a huge feat for our family. We were so hungry I didn't take any food pictures. I had the turkey dip, we also had the hot dogs, burger, Lucy club and the shrimp po boy. If you find it while riding around it's worth stopping in!

The best shrimp and grits! This island favorite is a must try. During summer months, expect to wait in line. This is a popular destination for everyone visiting the island. The food is great the atmosphere is awesome. Sitting out under the trees listening to the quiet island doesn't get much better than this! Save some room for a sweet treat at the end of your meal. Only downfall is that they dont serve alcohol

All I can say is WOW this is the quintessential Daufuskie lunch spot. The tables under the Spanish oak are just a beautiful place to enjoy a meal. The food is amazing! The staff is nice and super fun! We had everything from cheeseburgers to blackened redfish and I don't have a single complaint about any of it. Please do yourself a favor and try the shrimp tacos or should I say shrimp tostada. They are probably the best thing I ate during my whole trip. I can't wait to return. We ate lunch here almost everyday bit was so good!

Romantic weekend at Daufuskie included sampling food at Lucy Bell's. The food was AMAZING! James took our order and he was personable and accommodating. The service was quick. We ordered breakfast and then had dessert, the portions were very generous and reasonably priced. You must check it out, best food on the Island.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the east side side of town. Start the day off with The Iron Fish Gallery & Studio, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Sallie Ann Authentic Gullah Tour. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

A small gallery showcasing the work of award winning metal sculptor Chase Allen. Coastal themes of fish, crab, turtles and mermaids. All beautifully painted. Most are available to purchase on site. Artist was not onsite when we visited but we were still able to purchase a set of three fish. Transactions are easy just read the posted message.

I went to college with Chase. He is an amazing guy that now has an amazing family. He’s so talented. We just moved back to Wilmington and he made two pieces for us for our outdoor area and they are so great. Everyone that comes over comments on them and asks where we got them. I love how the items are packaged and I gave him pretty detailed directions on colors for one of the items and it blew me away. He goes above and beyond.
Aimee F — Google review
We first discovered Chase Allen’s art work at an open house in Shipyard on Hilton Head Island. Since then we have become obsessed with his work. We visited his Iron Fish Gallery and Studio at Daufuskie Island last year and have been looking forward to the day when we could add some of his art work to our collection. We have the perfect spot all ready for two of his pretty ladies. Truly an amazing artist!
Eric J — Google review
We have been following Chase's career and collecting his one-of-a-kind artwork for over a decade. We stop at his home on Daufuskie every time we're there and send his work as heirloom-quality gifts to family and friends. His heart (and initials) are evident in every piece he creates. One of my most treasured possessions is the lobster he and my husband designed together for our 15th wedding anniversary. I can.not. recommend him highly enough. We will never stop collecting. He feels like family to us.

Very nice metal art sculptures, you can watch them work on sculptures in progress. Fun crafty place to go to.

My family and I (8 of us) spent a day on the island last week and as we drove past Iron Fish, we all were excited to stop to check it out. So many awesome pieces of art. Each one is unique and there are so many to choose from. And the workmanship is excellent! You'll never find something, like what's sold at the Iron Fish, and any ordinary store. My husband bought me a beautiful mermaid and it's hanging in my bathroom....it looks great! I highly recommend a stop at this gallery. You won't regret it!
Kelly C — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at the iron fish gallery. I loved the island and the relaxed comfortable feel of the gallery. I was able to stand with my family and young son and watch as the this beautiful art was crafted by hand. We were able to even speak personally with the artist himself, Chase Allen. He patiently answered all the off the wall questions that my four year old son had running through his fresh mind. I have one of his pieces in my kitchen now, and I expect to buy another the next time we are in Daufuskie! Beautiful unique art, at a fair price! A must visit while in Daufuskie.

Church
First Union African Baptist Church is a significant part of the historic district in the southern end of Daufuskie. The church welcomes visitors to its non-denominational Sunday services, offering a warm and genuine experience. The building itself is well-preserved and provides insight into the faith that has united its parishioners over the years. Attending a service here can be an inspiring and gratifying experience, with Pastor Crosby known for delivering interesting and down-to-earth sermons.
We had the joy of worshipping with this church Sunday last week. The congregation is friendly and welcoming to visitors. Pastor Aaron has a gentle spirit about him. His preaching was clear and easy to understand. The worship was strong and very meaningful to us. Thank you for proclaiming God's word!

Island visitors shouldn't miss Sunday services at this wonderful island church. This charming and historic church is non-denominational, and all are welcome. Dressing up isn't necessary, and prepare to be greeted with genuine enthusiasm by the regular parishioners. The services is generally kept within an hour, and Pastor Crosby is interesting, warm, and down to earth. A truly inspiring experience for people of faith.

Visiting this church was a very gratifying experience. It is a little well preserved gem of a building on this very remote island. It was an insight into the faith which held these people together. We had a wonderful experience while we were at this church. One of our party was asked to read a passage from the local Bible and to our amazement she did so in the most wonderful Gullah accent you could ever imagine. All in all apart from our excellent tour guide, this place was one of highlights of our trip out to the island.

Health and beauty shop
Daufuskie Soap Co. is a local favorite shop located in the middle of Daufuskie Island, offering handmade soaps and lotions. The small batches of products are made by hand with scents like Sea Island Cotton, Beach Music, and Georgia Peach. Visitors can chat with the owner and find new favorite soaps to take home as a reminder of their island trip. Despite Covid restrictions, alternative methods to sample each scent are offered before making a purchase.
This little shop is a "don't miss" stop on Daufuskie Island. Located on the east side of School Road between the historic First Union African Baptist Church and the Mary Fields School, the shop is located at the back of a residential home. Jan Crosby produces lovely handcraft soaps, lotions, scrubs, and other such items. Everything is natural with lovely (not overpowering) scents. Some items are made with essentials oils, and the quality is clear when you use all of her products. Some scents have a "beachy" theme, but there are also traditional scents such as lavender (my favorite!). Jan's products make lovely gifts, but also a very nice way to treat yourself. Definitely worth a stop!!

Found this place on the visitors map and decided to stop in. At first we thought we were at the wrong place but then noticed the small sign that says go around back. The owner quickly got to us when we arrived. There was a great assortment of soaps and lotions. Unfortunately we were unable to pick the soap up and smell it before purchasing do to covid restrictions. The owner did offer alternative methods to sample each scent. We were able to find several soaps and lotions that we liked and made a purchase. Would recommend if visiting the island.

Daufuskie Island, a serene getaway with around 450 residents, is steeped in rich history and culture. Once home to a vibrant Gullah community descended from freed slaves, the island now offers glimpses of its past through historic landmarks and charming artisan studios. To truly appreciate Daufuskie's unique heritage, embark on the Sallie Ann Authentic Gullah Tour led by the remarkable Sallie Ann Robinson.
This tour was amazing and Ms. Sallie Ann is a gem! She’s literally an angel. So incredibly kind, knowledgeable and full of love for the Gullah culture. I would encourage everyone to book a tour with her! You won’t be disappointed.

Great tour!! It was my pleasure to meet Miss Sallie in person! She is very down to earth and friendly! She signed all of my cookbooks and made sure everyone in the group was looked after! The tour was full of great information about the culture! I showed up as a solo traveler with no ticket and prayed that she had room for one more! She was very accommodating and let me join!!
Smith K — Google review
Meeting Sally Ann was a wonderful experience. Her Gullah tour was excellent and we learned much about everyday life of the Gullah culture from one of the few still living on the island. Sally Ann grew up as a student of Pat Conroy and experienced this island as a child and now as an adult recalling her memories of Pat and island life. Highly recommend this tour.

Sallie Ann's tour is an absolute must if you're planning on visiting Daufuskie Island either for the day or the week. She has so much rich history and experiences to share with you. The bus is air conditioned and comfortable. She picks up and drops off at the ferry landing in time with the public ferry arrival and departure. If you're on the fence, just do it, you won't regret it!
Sarah H — Google review
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour by cookbook author Sallie Ann Robinson! It was really fun to take the ferry from Bluffton and back to get there as part of the experience. She picked us up at the ferry upon our arrival. Her tour bus was very comfortable. We were very interested in the story of Daufuskie Island and Sallie Ann‘s history there, as well as learning about her being taught by best-selling author Pat Conroy when she was a young student in 1969. Despite some development, the island still feels very remote and has gorgeous trees and untouched beachfront which looks out to Harbourtown at Hilton Head Island. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you appreciate or want to learn more about the Daufuskie Island and the Gullah culture! And Sallie Ann has a very upbeat and entertaining personality!
Carrie H — Google review
I highly recommend this tour with Ms Sallie Ann. She is almost single handedly preserving the rich history of Gullah people on the island in 2025. Passionate about what she does, she’ll take you around the whole island and add color to places you can’t get without her perspective. You can even come on just a day trip from Hilton head with the ferry schedule! Thank you Miss Sallie Ann🙏

This tour was very informative and educational. It was great to see African culture preserved through the peoples of Daufuskie Island and the efforts of Ms. Sallie. It is unfortunate, when speaking to several of the reps at the tourist centers on Hilton Head Island and Savanah that they've never visited the island. Great job Ms. Sallie Robinson.

Grabbed some takeout for lunch! I got their Lowcountry Mac & cheese and if you’re looking for a unique seafood dish this would be it! The perfect combo of Gouda and Mac and cheese and seafood- so so yummy! We shopped in the gift shop and then grabbed our takeout which gave us the perfect amount of time to shop and grab what we wanted! The food was ready pretty quickly and the staff were all so nice! Wish we had gotten to eat outside there because it was so nice and pretty! Can’t wait to visit again!

Atmosphere and service were good. The food was solid overpriced for what it is the Brisket in Beef pot pie was tough not tender as described great flavor though. My wife’s chicken meal was good too Hush Puppies are solid not the best I have had but good. Best value on the meaning

Amazing service (ask for Paula)! Good food and even better atmosphere. Our party of 10 had about a 30 min wait, there were plenty of food and drink options to choose from. We sat on the patio / deck and enjoyed the atmosphere of the water and people.
Tiffany L — Google review
Girlfriend and I stopped in for two drinks to enjoy on-site and ordered two salads to go. The drinks were good, though pricey, and our server was attentive and friendly. However, we were seated right next to multiple other parties despite there being plenty of empty tables where we could have had more privacy. Back at our hotel, we opened the salads and were stunned by how bad they were. Easily two of the worst we have ever had. I ordered the shrimp Caprese salad. The shrimp had an off, “sink water” taste, zero seasoning, and the greens were partly bitter with unripe, bitter tomatoes. My girlfriend’s ahi tuna salad was no better. The tuna was barely seared, flavorless, and served over the same bitter greens. We each ate less than half before giving up. Honestly, my $8 fast food salad from Culver’s back home blows both of these away in freshness, flavor, and value. For $80, two salads and two regular drinks, the quality was shockingly poor. I had heard good things about this place, so this was an extremely disappointing experience. The photos show exactly what was left after we gave up eating.

We stopped in this morning for breakfast. We were promptly seated and our server was there in a flash. The menu was straight forward with multiple options that sounded appetizing. Our food arrived very quickly and everything was nice and fresh. Both dishes were good, but not great. Nothing I would ever complain over though. And the view is amazing as expected. We had the shrimp and grits as well as the dog bowl special (country potatoes topped with scrambled eggs, cheese, and hollandaise sauce)

I can now see why people are obsessed with The Salty Dog. I mean after 5 generations of Jake the black lab how could you not. I was looking for some great seafood and The Salty Dog Cafe delivered. I had the Fisherman's pasta with huge chunks of crab shrimp and lobster in a rich creamy sauce. Very good indeed. My mother had the shrimp and grits, didn't even let me get a taste she devoured it. My wife had Jake-zilla burger, what was she thinking? This burger had a monster size patty, BBQ meat with a pickle spear and hush puppy to top it off. She couldn't finish it. And my son just wanted a bacon cheese burger and fries. No problem for the kitchen staff. To top of the feeding frenzy they had live music. Great classy restaurant with an even better cult like follow. If you haven't been you have to give it a try and stay salty my friends. 😉
Domenic S — Google review
The service was fantastic. The food was great quality - although we both thought the steamed veggies might have been from frozen. The heat and the sun were harsh. If the umbrella had an adjustable pole we may have been able to put some shade where we needed it. This took a bit out of the whole experience; but it was worth it.
B.D. O — Google review
This was a very popular place with great food. I had the grilled cheese with shrimp and lobster. Good size sandwich. It was a bit more pricey than I expected for an indoor/outdoor cafe by the bay, but it is in a very high rent district, so probably what is expected for the clientele. Beautiful scenery, though!

We came out for a weekend and actually wound up coming here twice. The drinks are amazing. If it's warm out go with the Frozen drink because it is worth it. Of course we bought a few bottles to bring home because they were so good. Everybody was extremely friendly and willing to talk us through anything. We got to sample and enjoy ourselves and just sit outside and look at the beautiful view. I know they have food there but unfortunately we got there too late both days to try any food. I'm not going to complain cuz we had enough drinks to take care of that need.

If you’re into Rum, Vodka and Bourbon and happen to be on Daufuskie Island this is a MUST visit. We did a tasting of 6 of their liquors. Our favorites were the Old Fashion (pre mixed and delicious) and the Blueberry Lavender Vodka (great with lemonade). Food is available and we split a meatball sub with fries. Very good. The outdoor deck is nice and inviting. I purchased both the Old Fashion and Blueberry Lavender Vodka.

Had a flight of 3 rumss. I'm not going to sit here and pretend I'm some rum expert, but it is my go to liquor of choice have sipped many different brand neat and mixed. Oyster Union Society Hall

4.8
(11)
Historical landmark
The Oyster Union Society Hall, located on Daufuskie Island, was once a significant gathering place for factory workers during the island's oyster production boom in the early 20th century. It is now being considered for transformation into a museum to preserve its historical significance and attract regular tourists. The society was originally established by oyster workers to manage social events and burials, with later meetings rumored to have been accompanied by moonshine and homemade wine.
This place NEEDS DESPERATELY to be turned into a museum that tourists can visit regularly. Not to mention you could find inventive ways to bring revenue in to keep the place up if it was a museum. This amazingly historical place needs to be preserved. You can learn all about this historical place on Daufuskie Island when you take Mrs. Sally Anns Tour. Please take this tour I've got great respect and love to the way she brought the history of the island and places we visited alive. Not to mention she's an amazing singer and if your lucky she'll sing for you a few songs on the tour. Also she caters and omg Sally's Bread pudding was the best I've ever had.

The Oyster Union Society was created by the oyster workers to handle social events and things such as burials. It is said that during the latter years the meetings that were held in this building were enhanced witb moonshine and homemade wine. The building was locked when we visited but there are plenty of informational plaques to read.
Rebecca H — Google review
If you are on the island to tour, this is one of the places to stop and read the history. Buildinh was not open to go in, but worth stopping to look around.

So many pictures and stories on the walls. Lots of history in here. The driveway is even made from seashells! A must see for any history buff

Farm
The Daufuskie Community Farm is a charming island farm where visitors can enjoy guided tours and roam freely among the friendly animals. The farm, nestled under the shade of live oaks draped with Spanish moss, offers an engaging experience for kids who can interact with goats, chickens, ducks, a horse, and a pig. Visitors praise the knowledgeable and amiable tour guide who shares captivating stories about the farm and island life.
I'm pretty sure I've already rated this once. However I am very impressed with this place so I don't see any harm in rating it again. The animals and people are amazing! Please go here for a Tour. Pat our 83 year old Tour Guide is the bomb diggity, seriously she's amazing!!

I had the best experience visiting Daufuskie Community farm. The people and animals are incredibly friendly! I happened to visit when there were baby goats, which made it even better! If you’re heading to Daufuskie, this place should definitely be on your list! Make sure to swing by the little farm shop too — they’ve got some great local stuff!
Hallee E — Google review
They offer farm grown produce, flowers, eggs, cold water, etc. The care and intention with this farm is very present. Their tours are very fun and rewarding as well. They are absolutely worthy of support.

Although time did not allow us to tour the farm, we did get to stop in the farm store and see their fresh produce and eclectic collection of other items.
Matthew D — Google review
Perfect little island farm! They allow you to visit from dawn til dusk and I believe that they also have some guided tours sometimes. You go through the gate and immediately see tons of cute goats, chickens, and ducks! The animals are all very friendly and many allow you to pet them! They also have a horse and a pig that are in fences but will walk up to fence and let you pet them! Definitely a must if you have kids!!
Rebecca H — Google review
We loved our visit here seeing all the goats, including so many cute baby goats, and the great ducks and geese. The roosters were so funny and the pig made us smile. The owner is lovely and kind. Worth the $20 donation to get a tour from her and support such a lovely spot on Daufuskie.

We've been going here for over 7 years every labor day weekend. It gets better and better each time. Ms Pat is an amazing woman with an amazing story.

Amazing farm on an amazing island ran by an amazing woman. Pat was a great your guide, explaining the animals and telling so many great stories of the farm, her life, and the island. The kids loved all the animals and you can see the labor of love that is put into the farm and the things she said we're coming soon with the artisan village sound like this will be a great stop for the community and anyone visiting the island.

Daufuskie Rental Group is your go-to for a delightful getaway on Daufuskie Island, offering an array of charming waterfront cottages that blend comfort with coastal charm. Perfectly situated near the general store and Old Daufuskie Crab Co., these colorful bungalows cater to solo adventurers and couples alike. Guests rave about the exceptional hospitality provided by the DRG team, who are dedicated to ensuring a seamless experience from booking to departure.
If you are considering renting on Daufuskie from DRG you will be pleased. We arrived the day after Hurricane Idalia and power was still intermittent. Nonetheless the DRG Team had been giving us constant updates and even re-checked the screens (in case no power or A/C) and propane tank on the grill (Old D Crab Co was still closed). They were extremely attentive and accommodated every tiny request quickly and with a smile. We're going back as soon as we can and will be booking through DRG again.

Terrible customer service - once your on the island they have you. Be careful and do your research before you book this place. When we arrived on the island, we received a last minute text stating a window had just been busted by a previous renter and it was boarded up. We later found out this was a lie, the window has been busted for two weeks. Why didn’t someone notify us sooner? I have listed all the things wrong with our place since we arrived (below). Broken window - only window with view Fridge does not dispense water or ice Master toilet is clogged Tons of roaches are inside (broken window) Porch light does not work Black mold on vents No storage False advertising- NO POOL Luggage was thrown out not even brought up the stairs Smoke alarms randomly go off

DRG is awesome! Their hospitality and communication was incredible from the moment I rented through the day we left. The house was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was one of the best vacation rentals I’ve ever been in. The local info provided regarding logistics of getting to the island and what we needed to bring was so helpful! There was nothing we needed and didn’t have. DRG checked on us throughout the trip providing great new tidbits of info each time. This property was magical and we enjoyed our stay so very much! Daufuskie Island is a rare treasure and DRG made our stay so lovely.

We had visited the island before, the rental experience was a disaster. Thank GOODNESS we gave it another try with Daufuskie Rental Group. They were incredible! From start to finish they went above and beyond to make sure our family had the best trip we could ever ask for. The customer service is on another level! We HIGHLY recommend them!

We were on the island and needed last minute accommodations for friends and Deborah came through for us. She went above and beyond what you would expect and did I mention, we weren’t even renting from her! It’s people like her that make Daufuskie great. Can’t wait to come back and I’ll definitely be calling on her. A+++
Gary L — Google review
The cottage was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Most impressive to me was the communication. We received a phone call before we arrived to answer any last minute questions, they contacted us after we entered the cottage to see if we needed anything. There was a minor technical issue in the cottage and their response was immediate. My interaction with DRG was a big part of making this trip good.

The accomodations were spectacular. The house had a full kitchen and wi-fi. Close to the beach. Great service by Daufuskie Rental Group and great attention to detail. Daufuskie is a wonderful place to slow down and get away from it all. Truly relaxing, and everyone on the island is so friendly.

The center provides well-maintained horses for trail rides through the forest and along the beach. We had an amazing experience with Haig Point Equestrian Center over Thanksgiving. My husband and I booked a package which included a hour trail ride, ferry service to the island and a golf cart for exploring the island. Marlene was excellent! She provided all the details we needed to enjoy the day and it was a smooth an enjoyable trip from beginning to end! We could not have asked for a better experience on Daufuskie Island all thanks to Marlene and her team at Haig Point!

I took my wife on a private guided tour around the island. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about all the little details of the island. They helped set up our entire experience, including the ferry ride to the island. The horses were beautiful, well-groomed, and perfect for a beginner like me. I am so happy with the choice of coming to the island. The entire experience was amazing. Thank you again for making our 8th anniversary one to remember!

This was an amazing experience for my daughter and I! The staff are not only knowledgable and patient, but they have truly taken the time to “learn and love their horses”. Their instructions are clear even for a novice rider like myself. I felt safe and at ease the entire time because Stella (our trail guide) was. I recommend this experience to anyone who visits Hilton Head Island. It’s a quick ferry ride over and totally worth the experience! I even posted a picture here of my sunglasses which I had forgotten inside and the staff was kind enough to take them out to the gate for me to pick up 🤣 oh and another accommodation was the weather looked like it may turn bad in the afternoon and again they were kind and arranged for an earlier time for us since it was our only day to make it to the island. We made it through the ride with no rain 👏🏻 This was a whole experience from start to finish.

So much fun. I thought we would get to go on the beach but we were too early in the season. Maybe next time. Victor and I became fast friends. I could have spent more time without the less experienced riders maybe riding just a bit faster :)

We had a couple of nervous people in our group and the trainers were so wonderful and patient with them. The horses were lovely and views were incredible! We had several dolphins pop up to see us along the ride as well. 10/10 recommend! Great customer service & overall amazing experience - worth every penny!

The old school house next door also serves as the island's free library which is a great use of historical space that keeps it engaged in the community. We biked for 2 hours thought we would grab something for lunch. We were blown away by the food! Fried chicken burger was the best I have ever had. My husband got the jerk mahi-mahi sandwich, he said it was delicious, never had anything like it before. they accommodate my daughter’s burger wrapped in lettuce with her gluten intolerance, she said it was the best burger ever. My son loved their chicken fingers. I thought this might be a pricy tourist trap, boy was I wrong!!! We will be back here again! Highly recommend.

We did not realize the restaurant closed at 8pm. We showed up at 7:58. Patrick told us to go ahead and have a seat. He let the kit hen know there would be 2 more burgers to make. He was wonderful. Patrick was super friendly, very concerned with making sure we got food and fast. We both had the cheese burger and fries and it did not disappoint. One of the best burgers I have had in a while. Seasoned curly fries were perfect. Next trip to Hilton Head we will be back to eat here again!

Look the food is great. The wait staff is spread a little thin, but that seems to be everywhere right now. As such you wait a bit longer than you should both to be waited on and for delivery of drinks, checking on etc... But the location is unbeatable, they have live music and the food is great. My Mom had a burger and came back the next day for another. I almost always have the blackened Mahi sandwich, which is always good, but today I had the Jerk Chicken Mango salad. The dressing was bright, the greens were fresh and the salad was probably one of the best I have had in quite some time. Given that I have always thought of the place as a sandwich and beer kinda joint, that is really saying something. Will never hesitate to eat here... and beats the PANTS off the adjacent crazy crab!

Great island to visit with so much History. You have to take a Ferry to island which is about a 45 minute ride there. We spent 6 hours on island. There are a few different Ferry’s you can use and cost is about $50-$70 a person (round trip). If you do go make sure to rent a golf cart it will be worth it!

Fun Little Adventure while visiting Savannah. Took a Ferry from Bull River Marina and wisked off the Daufuski Island for a full day of history and fun. Saw lots of dolphins 🐬 on the way as well. Lots of quaint shopping. Definitely have to spend a full day there or plan a trip to stay on the island for a little vayca!

Enjoyable Way to spend a Day. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride over to the island. This was not the usual boat they use for the trip but it served the purpose. It was very scenic. The weather in a.m. and during day was sunny so we had wonderful views along the trip. It took about 45 minutes. We had opted for the tour with guide. You can rent a golf cart and do your own tour. We had time for a tasty lunch at the Old Daufuskie Crab House. Don't expect a fancy place but do expect excellent seafood. We sat outside under umbrellas. It was delightful. We understand that on certain times of the week they have live music. We then met our guide at General Store. The General Store had a lot of basics plus some souvenirs. Wish they had some of the Gullah related arts & crafts. They did have some beautiful t-shirts. The tour guide was very friendly & informative. The speaker system on bus was excellent. We visited a number of locations which I so enjoyed. The Gullah history is interesting as well as the history of the island. You also got to see how the island is doing today. We got to see the old school house & the Mary Fields School along with a beautiful old church. Bloody Point Lighthouse tour of grounds, history (nice film) & info on the very tiny winery was enjoyable. We had a couple of people who wanted to see the pottery & iron fish gallery but that was not included. We got back with minutes to spare for our rainy trip back to Hilton Head. We did get to see 3 Dolphin on way back. Trip back uncomfortable & cold due to the wind and rain & the boat is not enclosed (remember this boat temporary). Pick a nice day without rain predictions. Enjoyed the people who ran the tour. All were friendly & information. The sound system on the boat they were using could not be heard if you were in the back of boat by motors. Go & enjoy being taken back in time.

Amazing amount of history for such a small island! This museum has artifacts found on the island from when the Indians inhabited it. They also have a lot of information and items from the Gullah culture. They have made the old schoolhouse next to it both a history museum of the schooling on Daufuskie and a community library where there are books available to check out. They also have a table set up with activities for the kids. This is a great first stop if you are visiting Daufuskie!!

We had enjoyed our trip here today especially the self tour cart trip. We had started with riding the ferry to Daufuskie Island. The difference is noticeable between the two ferries, The air condition and the right is much better on the newer one. The ferry ride takes about 45 minutes. When you get off the ferry your purchase your tickets which you have to call in 48 to 24 hours before. there are two kinds of tours offered by the tourist company. Guided tour or a self guided tour through the island. We did the self guided tour and we enjoyed it so much, me personally I don’t see a reason for paying the price difference between the self-guided and the guided tours. During the day we saw the farm, the winery, the church, the school, and the museum. The best part was the time that we spend on the beach, and it was first time in my life that I can see the trees comes to the beach water line instead of blocks of concrete. The weather was amazing and we could see from where we were standing two lighthouses. The end of the day which was 10 minutes before 5:30 PM, We stop by the General store for refreshments and supplies before we took the ferry back home. In my opinion I think it was very nice experience to discover the island, unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore the restaurants there and try their food. In general I think it was an amazing experience, easy ferry ride, amazing frozen lemonade, Good presentation with the history of the island at the museum, amazing trees covered with Spanish Moss. I have seen so many families enjoying the activity in the Daufuskie island, and I do agree with them that this will be a good and fun family day.

Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe is a charming eatery known for its freshly baked breakfasts and pastries. The cafe offers a variety of options for breakfast, lunch, and light snacks, making it a great spot for families. With an outdoor dining area and a cozy interior, this bakery is perfect for enjoying delicious coffee and food until midafternoon.
This is by far my favorite spot to get breakfast/lunch in Hilton Head. Although the line seems long, it goes by so fast! The service is impeccable, and when I was stuck on what to get, the cashier knew exactly what to suggest. We went to Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe twice during our stay in Hilton Head. During the first visit we got the Classic Belgian Waffle, a hot Southern Pecan Latte, an iced Vanilla Latte, and the Yogurt Parfait. Everything we ordered was perfect. On the second visit, we got the On the Fly sandwich on a croissant with bacon, the Yogurt Parfait, a hot Southern Pecan Latte, and an Iced Vanilla Latte. Once again, everything was amazing. I would absolutely recommend Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe to everyone! Some items were so good we reordered them!!

I went here the other day to have breakfast. Upon arrival, there were at least 20 people ahead of me in line and the line went out of the door. Once I got to the front of the line, I ordered the Denver Omelet which came with toast and home fries. The taste of the Omelet was a tad bit below average. The home fries were overcooked, mushy and bland. I won't completely write this restaurant off because there are a ton of people who love it. But my experience wasn't the best.

That being said, we waited over 20 minutes. Was it worth the wait? Sure, holiday week and beautiful weather combined with time to slow down :) We would still recommend.

Renowned for its upscale atmosphere and delectable classic fare, this establishment serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner while offering stunning views of the Harbour Town Golf Links golf course. Fantastic spot to grab breakfast! I had the Southern Benedict, and it did not disappoint. From the looks to the taste, it was absolutely delightful! Not only is the food great, but the views of the golf course are amazing as well.

It was my last night in Hilton Head so I knew I wanted to have a great meal with a drink! I decided to come here with an open mind not knowing what awaited me. When I first drove up to enter the resort, I wasn't aware there was a cash entry fee just to enter the resort! Had I known this in advance, I would have made sure to have cash in my wallet. I quickly found an ATM nearby and came back to enter. As it was nighttime, it was pitch black with minimal lights so I made sure to drive slow. I didn't realize the property was this big and it was a nice adventure up to the restaurant! It was a pleasant drive and I quite enjoyed it. Upon arriving outside the restaurant, you're taken aback by the properties itself which was beautiful and statuesque. I went up the stairs and then proceeded to the restaurant and sat at the bar. The staff was super professional and they pulled out the chair and helped me get closer to the bar, which was nice! I decided to sit at the end of the bar, which was a smart choice as the night progressed. The restaurant is quite enchanting inside with tons of seating and you could tell the entire experience is all about the customer, which I can appreciate. I ordered an old fashioned to start, which was excellent! They even used fresh nutmeg, which is what really brought that whole drink together. After hearing the specials and reading through the menu, I decided on oysters, a wedge salad and the Scottish smoked salmon. The oysters were great and all 3 sauces it came with complimented them well. I found the wedge salad to be bland and felt it needed more seasoning. Although I asked for fresh cracked black pepper, that still didn't bring that dish together for me. Now, I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare, which was perfect! The mashed potatoes had this silky smooth texture and texture wise, were some of the best mashed potatoes I've had. However, that dish was lacking some serious salt and flavor for me! Had that seasoning been added, this would have been a magnificent dish. Aside from the lack of salt and seasoning on my dishes, the food was still very good. While at the bar, I ended up conversing with the staff, who were not only attentive, but engaging and made sure that my experience there was extraordinary. For me, they made my night and I will definitely be returning in the future. All I can say is this is a restaurant you should come visit and you will not be disappointed with the overall experience!

We enjoyed eating lunch and dinner here. We loved how the hostess and waitress addressed you by name. The hostess even remembered our names 3 days later. The drinks, especially the pear drink and the IPA (Hazy) my husband drank were phenomenal. The filet mignon was cooked to his liking. He was very pleased. Not as expensive as eating outside the Imm & Club Resort, which is always a bonus. Great view!

Just had an amazing dinner in the Jack Nicklaus room at Links restaurant in Hilton Head. We had a party of 9, including 5 children and from the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Our waitress Clunise was very attentive and took good care of us. The room was spacious and nicely decorated and our food was absolutely delicious and came in a timely manner for a large group. We cannot wait to come back again!! Don’t forget to order their amazing deserts!!

Our experience could not have been more extraordinary. From start to finish, everything about this visit was absolutely phenomenal. The level of care, attention, and professionalism we received was nothing short of world-class. Every detail was handled with such precision and warmth that we felt truly valued and appreciated in a way that is incredibly rare. The staff were beyond exceptional, treating us with such kindness and enthusiasm that it turned an ordinary day into something unforgettable. The atmosphere was amazing, uplifting, and inspiring. It was clear that everything was done with the highest level of excellence, making the entire experience seamless and effortless. We were especially impressed by the personal touch. It did not feel like routine service; it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience designed especially for us. That kind of dedication and commitment is something we will never forget. Without question, this was one of the most remarkable and awesome experiences we have ever had. We are still talking about it and will be recommending it to absolutely everyone we know. If you are looking for the best of the best, look no further. This was perfection in every sense.

We ate here twice for breakfast on our vacation this week. The food was consistently delicious! Our server the first day was an older gentlemen and he was the only sour part of our experience. He had no personality and wasn’t very attentive. Our server the second day however was amazing! Her name was Cayon I believe and she was so kind to us and our children! We will definitely be back next trip!

Wonderful food. Beautiful golf course setting. Tyrone is a wonderful waiter. Kids menu steak is a great option for littles and the yellowfin tuna was delicious.
