Three Rivers Whitewater offers an unforgettable experience with amazing rafting and kayaking adventures. The river guides are well-trained, knowledgeable, and create a fun and energetic atmosphere. The ease of registration and overall organization make the trip hassle-free. While some visitors were disappointed by the lack of post-trip entertainment and limited photo options, the bunkhouse accommodations received praise for being well-built and suitable for families. Despite these minor drawbacks, many highly recommend Three Rivers Whitewater for an exciting outdoor adventure.
We had an incredible time white water rafting! Our guide, Fletch, made the trip unforgettable. He was knowledgeable, funny, and made us feel super safe while still keeping the adventure exciting! All the other staff members were amazing as well! The pictures were so cool, as well as the food after the trip. I look forward to returning!

Our Scout troop had an awesome time at Three Rivers Whitewater. The overnight camping rates are great, the facilities including the bathrooms were top notch and the actual rafting was epic. Our guides were friendly and did a great job keeping us engaged, safe, and pumped up. Paul and Chris were our guides. The lunch after rafting was great and a good value for the money. We'll definitely be back!

Rafting here was an unforgettable adventure! The river and the surrounding nature were simply stunning, and the staff made the whole experience safe, fun, and exciting. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The only small detail that could improve the experience would be providing something for the mosquitoes – but overall, it was absolutely fantastic!

We rafted down the Kennebeck river with Ian today. We had a great time. He was incredibly knowledgeable about so many things about rafting, the rivers, and the area in Maine. He made the trip fun and was one of the best river guides we have ever had. The other guides were fun and amusing during the bus ride to the Dam. Lunch was delicious after our trip. We will definitely be going with them again when we come back next year.

What a great day. Store had everything we needed and more❤️❤️❤️.Our tour guide was amazing. If I must say good tunes all the way 🤟🤟🤟I will do this again!! Next time I am renting one of the little cabins!! Can't wait. Watched a eagle catch a huge fish..wow. the ride to Three forks Maine was so pretty. Loved the million bird houses on the rock wall.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Unforgettable Experience! White water rafting with our guide JORDAN was hands down one of the best adventures I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we felt safe the entire time while still keeping the excitement level sky high. The river itself was breathtaking — a perfect mix of adrenaline-pumping rapids and calmer stretches where we could soak in the scenery. Our guide kept us laughing, taught us a ton, and gave us the confidence to take on some serious waves. What really stood out was the attention to detail: the safety briefing was clear, the equipment was in excellent condition, and the entire experience felt both professional and personal. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned rafter, this is an adventure you must do. I left with sore cheeks from smiling, a huge sense of accomplishment, and memories I’ll never forget. I can’t recommend Three Rivers enough — if you’re even thinking about white water rafting, just go for it. You won’t regret it! Please ask for JORDAN HE WAS AGAIN AMAZING, and honestly made the trip so enjoyable! It was my first time and felt super safe and comfortable while we went! I wont forget you jazz and jordan!

We had the amazing opportunity to have Fletch as our guide. And he made the experience both fun and relaxing! Incredibly social upbeat and really good at instructing without being too strict. We were able to also take nice family pictures with him… Thank you Fletch!

Three Rivers is a lively group of people full of personality and will make your rafting trip the most fun time whether you’re experienced or it’s your first time. My friends and I had a blast, we highly recommend these guys. Jazz and Jordan made our trip one for the books! Thank you!

Additionally, guests can explore numerous ATV trails directly from their cabin doors. The resort also features a brewpub and restaurant for convenient dining options.
Took the Penobscot white water rafting day trip and boy was it amazing! Not only were the rapids very active and enjoyable, but the scenery in between was breathtaking. This paired with some amazing open-flame cooked food just made the day so much more memorable! My guide was Ted and he was awesome! All of the guides were very fun to hang around and talk with. 10/10 would recommend!

We stayed in Nellie’s Nest for one night before our rafting trip. 2 adults and 10 & 11 yo boys. The space was large, clean and cozy, The rafting trip (Kennebec) was so well organized. The rapids were the best but even the float at the end was fun because they have little inflatables kayaks and you can jump out and swim. Lunch in the middle of the trip was great. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

We did a Dead River Rafting trip a few years ago and can't say enough about our experience. The location is beautiful. The cabins are homey, clean and comfortable. The main lodge is amazing.. full of good food, good beer and lots of fun, while still feeling like you're tucked away in the woods. The rafting trip and our guide were incredible. This was an adventure I talk about often and will return to.

Had a fantastic weekend here! Went rafting for the first time and Russell was an amazing guide! The entire staff was friendly and helpful, making sure everyone had exactly what we needed. The food was also great in the lodge and I loved how much space there was to enjoy the property. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. Live music in the restaurant Saturday night was a huge plus! We are already planning another trip here!!

This trip was incredible! We embarked on a bachelor party adventure with a group of eight guys. The owner of the camp was incredibly involved and made sure everything was in order. The housing was spotless and well-maintained. The campsite boasted two fantastic restaurants and bars. The rafting experience was amazing! The staff was professional and ensured our safety while making the journey incredibly enjoyable and adventurous. It was my first time rafting, and I must admit, I was a bit nervous starting on a Level 5 raft. However, the staff and the operation put my mind at ease. Lunch was also delicious. The campsite is surrounded by numerous biking and hiking trails, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration. We will definitely be returning for more adventures!

The best thing about this place is the staff. They were amazing. We went Whitewater rafting and had Eric as our leader. He was such a pleasure. We also want to say that Stewart and Raven were amazing as well. All of the rafting staff deserves round of applause. We will definitely return next year.

We stayed in one of the “cozy cabins” which was clean and basic. The other lodging options looked good also. It was convenient having the restaurant and brewery onsite as there isn’t much around the area. Food and drinks were good. Most importantly the rafting on the Kennebec River was awesome. First time being there and definitely plan on going back. The guides and staff were great and was a lot of fun. Highly recommend

Staff have been great. The tour guide Matt was awesome.. even with his dad jokes. Been rafting with other outfit but this one seems better and more of a personal experience. Cabins were surprisingly big for the value.

Visitors can enjoy delicious food and craft beer while sharing stories of their outdoor escapades. We regularly travel from Australia to New England. This last trip we decided to drive up to Quebec City. Kennebec River Brewery was a perfect stop for a meal, beer and some ambiance. When we planned the drive we added the brewery as a stop and we were very happy with the choice...lovely people, great food :-)

Phenomenal staff, all enthusiastic and obviously happy to be working there. We had a great time and we'll go back again with a larger group for sure. Did water rafting, camped out for three nights and two days had a blast. Make sure you bring bug spray for the outdoors

Stopped.for lunch going to and returning from Quebec City. Pulled pork and pulled chicken excellent. Fries superior. Service was very good given a Saturday lunch crowd and limited crew. Will plan northern trips to make sure we are here at meal time!!!

Kennebec River Brewery makes really good beers, many options, on site! I loved the Northbound Pale Ale. Customer service was very nice, and nachos were delicious, too. They sell growler and growler fills, too, if you dont have time to stay! The gift shop here is also good, including clothing, hats, beer glasses, and more!

Nestled along the serene waterfront, Inn By the River is a charming retreat that offers guests a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. With individually decorated rooms featuring full private baths, this inn provides a homey feel perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. Guests can indulge in delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, where culinary delights surpass typical pub fare.
The Inn By the River is better than advertised. It is more like staying with family than a hotel. Sitting on the front porch watch the river flow by in the morning as you enjoy your coffee was a great way to start the day. Then again in the evening with a drink finished off a day of relaxation. The food was outstanding and a very good price for both the food and drinks. We scheduled the water falls tour with their sister company White Water Rafting. Adam is an excellent guide. He knows the area and pointed out so many things we would have missed. He packed a good lunch to enjoy in the outdoors. He even had a can of MOXIE for us, which was my first taste of MOXIE. When you want to relax and simply enjoy life, I highly recommend the Inn By the River and a hike to see the water falls.

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming inn! From the moment I arrived, it felt warm, welcoming, and truly homey. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable — the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. The food and drinks were outstanding-fresh and flavorful! The staff went above and beyond! This is the ideal spot if you're in Northern Maine-just for one night away, or a week-long snowmobiling or rafting trip-I can’t recommend it enough!

We stayed here for 2 days and the stay was great, it doesn’t have a TV but we lived through that, I saw post about bugs but it’s the mountains and it was lady bugs and when we had some in the room the girl came to the rescue with a vacuum and got them all. The workers were what made the stay, the girls at the bar and the locals hanging out there were full of info for places to go.Even the continental breakfast was great, the girl told me she had made the cinnamon rolls and muffins the night before, seems like alot of care goes into the everything, we will be back next time through there.
Renee B — Google review
First let’s say that this was our 11th time at the Inn and unfortunately it is our last. For the past 9 years we’ve been staying along with 4 to 5 other couples. This year the rooms were in a state of disrepair. Toilet seats in two of four rooms were broken. Heat wouldn’t turn off in one room and the ac wouldn’t work either. Staying in the room the towels looked like they had just been used to wash a car. A light sconce was sideways and the curtain to the deck was trashed. The shower curtain had about 8 inches of mildew on the bottom. Just wasn’t clean. Now to breakfast. Breakfast was served cold and took an additional 5 minutes to get silverware two mornings in a row after our food was served. Nothing was cooked as ordered. Now with that said Garrett was great in the kitchen for dinner and Rebecca was a great bartender so the night time experience was significantly better than the morning. Overall we left with the group understanding that none of us would return again. The new owners just simple don’t seem to care and appear to just be running it into the ground. Oh I should mention that the second floor coffee area had spilled coffee and dirty cups for the 3 days 2 nights we were there, along with filled trashcan in the hauls. Very very disappointing.
Jeffrey N — Google review
Very much enjoyed our stay. Very welcoming and gracious hospitality from Jimmy and Becky. Not fancy but comfortable rooms. Gorgeous view of the river and fall foliage. Delicious dinner.
Judy S — Google review
I just stayed here for three night and days in order to go fishing. The food here is a real treat---flavorful, well prepared and far from pub restaurant type food. All the employees who provided service were helpful, prompt and fun to talk with. Summer, fall or winter this a very convenient and homey place to stay for fishing, tubing, whitewater rafting, and hunting and snowmobiling. I gave my room only 4 stars because it had two full size beds in it and no chair. Otherwise, it was clean and restful.
Brian H — Google review
We ate at the restaurant with a large party that filled one of the dining rooms. I would have thought it would be trouble but they did fantastic. Food was great and so was the service. We had planned a different location and had called to make sure reservations were not required but they were not even open so we ended up here and very glad we did. Had friends staying here and others in our party that had to go here for a room when their site flooded. The staff was helpful and let them use a dryer for cloths amd they were very accommodating at such a late hour.

Excellent experience!!! Brought two friends from the UK with me for their first ever time white water rafting. We couldn’t have had a better time. Highly recommend. Bigs is a top guide, even demonstrated how to appropriately eat white water for the group

Just got back from my 4th visit to Crab Apple up in The Forks, Maine and I don’t expect it will be my last. I previously used them 10 years ago while in college and the latest time for my brothers bachelor party. We stayed on sight in the motel style rooms and one cottage. Accommodations are nice, they aren’t 5* Boston rooms, but they are clean, comfy and offer everything you’ll need. Rafting is spectacular. The guides do a really great job of reading the raft and tailoring the trip to your liking. Post trip, my brother called thanking me for booking everything and stated his friends all called and talked about what a good time they all had. Will continue to recommend Crab Apple as my go to for white water rafting!
Will C — Google review
Was my first time experiencing white water rafting and Crab Apple did not disappoint. The crew there does it all and then some. Very personable, calling you by first name after introduction. The guides make the ride that much better (and feeling safe as a newbie), shout out to Ed and Connor! The surfs were memorable. Can’t wait to come back

I went white water rafting this past Friday with a few friends, and we had an amazing time! From the moment we walked through the doors at Crab Apple, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The rafting experience itself was an absolute blast! Our guide, Ed, was not only fun and energetic, but he also shared some great facts about Maine along the way, which made the trip even more memorable. We stayed in Skowhegan for the weekend while we were in Maine, and Ed even gave us a great recommendation for The Bankery, a local bakery in the Showhegan area, for breakfast the next morning! We had a beautiful day on the river, filled with laughter, excitement, and crashing through the rapids. After the run, we enjoyed a delicious lunch while watching the pictures and video from our adventure! Huge thank you to the Crab Apple team for such a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be back for more!

My family including twin 15 year old daughters had a wonderful days rafting. It was very well organised, staff very friendly and safely operated. The waters are warm due to going through the hydro dam turbines which always helps. Plenty of white water to make it exhilarating and value for money with a leisurely drift for a few miles at the end to reach our destination. A tasty bbq for lunch at the end with facilities to shower and change.

Mo, my son's river guide, was like the big brother William never had. Courtney and John were equally caring as river guides for their raft teams. All were attentive, empathetic, informative, and on the spot for anything needed. The pre-trip information session before everyone donned their helmets and life jackets covered everything needed. The trip down the river was exhillarating yet what everyone was informed pre trip. After rafting, everyone enjoyed a cookout and pictures and video of their trip. We will remember the trip as well as the great job Mo and his colleagues provided. We stayed two nights. We had dozens of choices of places to stay. We realized after our stay that we picked the right place. Crab Apple is a family owned business with multiple generations of family members who work every day to really make sure everyone is comfortable, happy, and safe. Our room in our lodge was spacious, included a large bathroom with a hot water shower, small refrigerator for drinks and snacks, AC, and two beds. William enjoyed the volleyball area, corn hole, and outdoor heated pool throughout our stay. Matt and his colleagues in the restaurant and bar customized our dinners to our requests. Terry, co-owner of the business with her husband, man's the front desk and helps guests and provides them ideas, insights beyond the raft trip of the special places to visit beyond the river to enjoy their trip. Courtney, Terry's daughter, helps at the front desk as well as is a wonderful river guide. A few days after we reached home we received a personalized letter from Mo. The letter was symbolic of the genuine down-to-earth TLC that Mo, Courtney, John, Terrie, Matt, and everyone at the Crab Apple resort provide to each customer. I was excited to raft down the a Kennebec with my 10-year-old son William. I thought about this trip for weeks. I long3d forcthe trip to bond mire with awilliam and enjoy the exoerience. William had never rafted in his life. I learned during the pre raft training session that Mo led before everyone cldonned their life jackets and helmets and got on the bus to go to the raft launch site that I could not join William on the trip. I had a heart attack 16 months before the trip. Heart patients cannot raft the rapids given the physical demands...all fun...but inherrant risks for heart patients. I stayed at the resort while William crafted the Kennebec with Mo. Mo made sure William was comfortable mentally and physically before William got in his raft. William never cried and was never afraid because Mo consisterly looked after William and guided him through the 10-foot high rapids along with the other seven people on the raft. While i cannot raft the rapids given my heart history, William and I will return to Crab Apple again so William can ride the rapids again. We trust Mo, Courtney, John, Terrie, Matt, and the rest of the amazing crew at Crab Apple resort. William told me after his trip that he had a blast, but the water was cold. You cannot go wrong rafting the Kennebec with Mo, Courtney, and John.

I went here for my 29th birthday last Friday and to celebrate my friend's upcoming birthday. We had a blast! This was the longest, best quality River experience I've had so far and I've been to Colorado! I will be back again one day 😁
Joshua H — Google review
My family and I recently did a trip on the Kennebec River through Crab Apply Whitewater in Maine. This is the longest review I have ever written and you will see why. This is a family owned company and the experience was absolutely fantastic to say the least. We had 10 people in our party rafting and staying in one of their cabins (River Cottage) for a couple of nights. From the start of check-in with Noel at the desk I knew we were in great hands. Our package came with a continental breakfast the morning of rafting, then rafting trip, lunch.. plus breakfast again the next morning, all included in our package. Now for even more details and some call outs. Rafting day------------------ Jim - provided instruction on rafting safety and paddling overview. He was also one of the guides (not my group's guide), but he also cooked the meals on the grill and did a fantastic job on all that he did. The steak I had was cooked perfectly, as if he is a professional chef. He added his humor during instruction too in order to help people be at ease. John - rafting guide for my group, plus worked in the onsite restaurant the first night we were there. John did an excellent job guiding our raft, allowing us to have fun and be safe all at the same time, plus makes a great drink. John also helped prepare lunch for us after rafting, including cornbread which was delicious. John is a great guy overall and very helpful.. he was fantastic on the water and there when we needed him and then some. Matt - our interaction with Matt was in the onsite restaurant the night after rafting. Matt was absolutely amazing in his service at the restaurant. As I said, we had a party of 10 and he handled us like a champ. He had us entertained with his humor and had us laughing the entire time from his quick one-liners to his responses to some of our "strange" questions or requests. He could make a great living they way he services his customers. There were many people we interacted with throughout the experience, but unfortunately I didn't get all their names, from Noah doing the rafting footage, to the young man cleaning tables after breakfast, to the second and third generations of the family owners working the front desk or even driving the bus to the rafting site. The experience we had and all of what we did and was included, based on the number of people, the price was great overall. As you can see from this write up, I would highly recommend this company to anyone who asks, and even the entire package with a large group.

Spent a week at the lodge with my family in the inter and it was BEAUTIFUL. Lots of scenic hiking trails that are great for snow shoeing. Dog friendly and the owners are super sweet. The common areas are very cozy and the kitchen and bathrooms are kept clean. Definitely returning next year for some snowmobiling.

The people that manage this place are exceptionally nice. They really went out of the week to make sure that we all had a great time. They even went as far as to help us find someone to care for our dog so that everyone in our party could go rafting. I was very hesitant to stay at a place with shared bathrooms and kitchen, but it was great. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space. Don't hesitate if this place is on your list.

This is a wonderful lodge for your own room or renting out the entire lodge for family and friends! Very clean with excellent upgrades by owners. I have reserved the entire lodge for family and they all loved it also. Great river view and close access to all outdoor activities (rafting, kayaking, hiking, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc.) Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for a night or two or for an entire season. Clean rooms, full kitchen, great outdoor spot with picnic tables and park style grills along with a fire pit. Plenty of space for corn hole badminton or other outdoor games. Trails for walking , biking, snowmobiling. River right out front to drop a line and try some fishing, and hopefully catching. Owners take deep pride in the building and keep it very well maintained. Even have bags and deposit spots set up to clean up behind those furry friends.

Super fun place! Stayed for a weekend in summer and it was so beautiful. Steve and Monica are very welcoming and kind and will make sure you’re as comfortable as could be. There are so many activities to do and all the locals are kind and funny. And there’s Raven the resident dog (and usual visiting dogs) who are a huge bonus!

(233)
Moxie Falls is a popular destination in Maine, known for being one of the state's highest waterfalls. The area offers various outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. It is easily accessible and suitable for families and their dogs. Visitors can enjoy the sight and sound of the powerful falls after a short hike through beautiful trees and flowers. The trailhead is easy to find with good parking facilities, making it convenient for travelers.
Cool. Waterfall to stop at about a 15-20 minute hike one way. Plenty of parking. I went on a Saturday around 5:30 6:00 p.m. in June, mosquitoes weren't too bad. And I was the only one there 😁 Worth a visit if you're in the area.

About a 1 mile hike each way. Lots of people swim in the water above the falls. There are some wooden steps down to the falls so I wouldn't bring a mountain bike with me unless you want to walk it up the stairs.
Matt M — Google review
Nice walk into the woods. Fairly flat and easy going but there are some steps/stairs man made towards the end. The falls are gorgeous. I definitely reccomend going in the fall and or winter. Much prettier and less buggy than the summer.
Br B — Google review
Had a great time hiking to the falls and rock jumping into the falls! Packed a lunch to enjoy on the rocks. Water was refreshing in the August summer heat.
Debbie Z — Google review
Nice little walk, just long enough to warm you up on a cold day! Beautiful natural waterfall.
Talera B — Google review
The walk itself was good. Easy trail. Not much to the waterfalls the day we were there but I know there has been other times. Some people swim there.
Jill G — Google review
Quite a lovely falls, with rapids above and below the falls. Rain for several days (weeks) before our visit ensured a very full flow. Nice easy hike of about mile (3/4s?) with lots of beautiful trees and flowers. And mud. Worth the stop and the hike.
David B — Google review
Always such an amazing experience. Beautiful scenery, beautiful views of the falls, and if you are courageous like we are you can scramble down to the Basin and have a great day of swimming. Must be experienced and strong to get down Cliffside.

Amazing Thai food and great people. I’ve been to Thailand and the food is a great mix of authentic and local to the region. Very reasonably priced! Hope to stop by again once more!

I was really surprised to find this place. Spent the day hiking in the area and past this place. Turned right around. Got crispy spring rolls and Chicken Pad-Se-Ew. All really good. I will come again!
Laurence S — Google review
Amazing food and service. The owners are very nice and make the best food in town. Their pork belly is smoky and tender, which is often hard to find. The pad-see-ew is my favorite

Fast delicious Thai food! Got the chicken pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles and they were so good!

We stopped for lunch on a rainy Saturday on our trip north to Quebec City. The food was delicious. We shared the House Fried rice with pork, Chicken Pad Thai, Crispy Rolls and Pork Potstickers. The portions were generous and the service was friendly. If we lived in the area this would be a regular place for us.

I have spend several years in Thailand and I can attest there is no better Thai in Maine. Stop and try their Drunken Noodle!

We had a great time staying at this fantastic lodge. We were greeted by the owners upon our arrival. Our room was very clean and accommodating, overlooking the river. The restaurant in the lodge had awesome service and great food! Close to so many outdoor activities! We will definitely be back!

Our family had a late lunch here after a great day floating down the river with Ironbound Outdoors. We absolutely loved it here! Great atmosphere, fantastic wait staff, super clean, and the food was DELICIOUS. We all loved our meals. Pizza, chicken burger, pub burger, and a steak and cheese sub. Everything was so high quality and cooked and seasoned perfectly. We are hoping to come again next Summer and stay at the Lodge! Thank you Justin and crew for a great day all around!

We ate here after our tubing trip. The atmosphere is great, fitting of a Maine restaurant. The service was top notch and friendly. The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. one of the best meals we have ever had at a restaurant. Can’t wait to be back.

Iron Bound Outdoors owners of Hawkes Nest Lodge and Restaurant have a great location and delicious food for anyone traveling north or south on 201! Had a beautiful and delicious dinner eating some fantastic pizza overlooking the Dead River and taking in the early fall foliage. Great food, drinks, and service! Food was reasonably priced with good portion sizes.

Stayed here for a night while up on a rafting and hiking trip. Right next door to the rafting company. Great view of the river. Ownership had just changed but the new owner is fabulous. Attached restaurant is very good. Decor and accommodations are nice. Only complaint would be that the bedroom we were placed in was right over the bar (and the people sitting there) and the sound proofing is non-existent.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hawk's Nest Lodge and Restaurant. The owners and staff were very friendly and were able to give us guidance about the local area and activities. The suite was clean and comfortable. The check in process and after hours access to the lodge was easy. We had a great time with drinks and a Monopoly game in the bar area on the night before our rafting activity. :). I highly recommend this lodge for a stay in the Forks area.

Stopped for lunch and waited well over an hour for our food, only to have the oder messed up. We were told they had to get the food out for a large party that came after us before they could make our food. Which made no sense. I did not get what I ordered and the waitress said she'd have kitchen remake. After already sitting for 90 min, I said I'd just take it as I wasn't going to wait for another order. The waitress did put on a discount but the price was still more then what I originally ordered. My husbands fries were cold. Once the bills came, nothing was correct. As a business owner I do not do bad reviews, but this place was like a circus. Won't be back.

We visited The Forks for the day to meet up with family we hadn’t seen in years. Had an AMAZING meal the the restaurant, and even met up with a friend who is doing the Appalachian Trail and happened to be nearby! We were able to get a quick tour of the BEAUTIFUL, unique rooms with natural wood accents. We will definitely stay next time we’re up from Maryland! I am a self-proclaimed foodie, and Hawk’s Nest was a pleasant surprise of elevated comfort food. The Brussels were to die for, buffalo wings were crispy and flavorful. My husband got the Reuben and says it was delicious. My girls shared a (HUGE) pizza and ate the entire thing. It looked amazing, I was a little sad they didn’t save me at least a bite! The meaty cheesesteak sandwich I ordered (it was on special but I can’t remember its actual name) was packed with fresh meat and alllll the toppings I requested cooked perfectly. The service was top notch. The bartender, Emily was so sweet and patient with our fairly large group. Justin, the owner, served us and never made us feel pressured or rushed. The Lodge also boasts adventure outings that I wish we had been able to take advantage of, but didn’t plan well enough. Kayaking, white water rafting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, ice fishing… The adventure is endless here, and we can’t WAIT to come back!! The views of the river from every room in the place are breathtaking. My friend hiking the trail wished she had known about the place so she could have taken advantage of the luxurious rooms, and plans to do so next time she’s hiking through. If you’re planning a trip to the area, I can’t recommend Hawks Nest enough!!
