We had such a wonderful day at Cobourg Beach! The weather was absolutely perfect — sunny, warm, and with just the right breeze coming off the lake. The beach itself was clean, well maintained, and very family-friendly, which made it an ideal spot for a relaxing day outdoors. The sand was soft and golden, perfect for walking barefoot or building sandcastles. The water was clear and refreshing, and it stayed shallow enough near the shore for the kids to play safely for hours. They had an amazing time running around, splashing in the waves, and making new friends. There were plenty of spots to sit, relax, and enjoy the view, whether you wanted to spread out a blanket, set up chairs, or just stroll along the shoreline. The atmosphere felt peaceful yet lively — families, couples, and groups all enjoying the sunshine without it ever feeling too crowded. We also appreciated how clean and well-kept everything was, from the beach itself to the nearby restrooms and picnic areas. Parking was easy to find, and local cafes and ice cream shops nearby added to the experience — perfect for a quick bite after swimming. Overall, Cobourg Beach is a beautiful, welcoming place for families and anyone who loves the lake. We’ll definitely be coming back soon — it’s one of those places that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left.

Nice beach downtown Cobourg. The sand is soft and brown. Beach is very clean. Parking is just beside. It's 5$ / hour. Water is a bit cold, very nice place for young kids. We were there for the weekend. The marina is just on the other side. Also there is a camping site just behind the beach. You can easily go grab something to eat from a restaurant nearby, in a easily walkable lap of time.

Visited here recently for the first time and my kids had a blast. They loved the clear shallow water and clean sand. There is also a park and splash pad to enjoy and wash the sand off. However the water does seem to shut off early in the evening. There's a convenient path for wheelchairs or stroller. My kids say this is their new favourite beach!

For those looking to escape downtown and explore other cities near Toronto and beyond, Cobourg Beach is a great option. The city is about an hour and 20 minutes from Toronto, and has a good road network. There are many paid parking options, but they're all very busy. There are also paid street parking spaces, which are also very busy, so you might have to drive around for a few minutes to find a spot if you're looking for something closer to the beach. Parking usually costs $40 Canadian dollars for 8 hours. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, and there are signs warning you of this, so be aware. Barbecuing is not allowed on the beach; there are camping and parking areas for that; read the instructions on the city website. There are some public restrooms scattered throughout the city, but depending on the time of day, they can unfortunately get quite dirty. The beach restroom has changing tables. The city has many restaurants and tourist attractions, such as the city hall. For those who prefer to stay farther from the main beach entrance, pay attention to the signs indicating a reserved beach or residential area, as homeowners are always there to point this out (I don't know how the law works, but it's good to know). For visitors with disabilities, the parking lots near the beach have designated spaces for those with disabilities. The beach path has a rubberized surface for wheelchairs, canes, and walkers. It's worth a visit, as well as the small waves and crystal-clear water.

This beach has only gotten better over the years! It’s surprisingly clean despite the numerous visitors… we did not notice any litter. Even the porta potties are clean. And even with so many people enjoying the beach, it never felt crowded or chaotic. Police and ambulance are on sight. The sand on the beach is so soft, and there is no seaweed along the shore. There are plenty of food trucks on site now, and they even have bouncy castles! The splash pad was a hit for our little guy, and the two little playgrounds also provide added amusement for kids. Definitely worth the drive from Toronto—we will happily visit here again!

A beautiful and peaceful beach in Ontario, perfect for a relaxing day. The water is clean, the sandy shore is soft, and it’s great for swimming on warm sunny days. Right next to the beach is Victoria Park — a large green space with plenty of picnic areas, a splash pad, and children’s playgrounds. There’s also a wide, scenic boardwalk by the harbour that’s perfect for walking or just enjoying the view. Highly recommended for families, couples, or solo visitors during the summer!

With the entrance tucked into a corner and the signage on the street not too bright, it is easy to miss this restaurant. But when you get there the bright colored frontage captures your attention. Supposed to have started in 1988, this place still has an old world charm on the inside. With a rustic interior time seems to stand still here. But the ambience and service were great. For a Sunday lunch we did not expect much, but there were quite a few tables occupied. Speaks volumes of the popularity of the place. My wife had the glazed maple and pecan salmon which, she said, was an absolute treat. If I rated this place 4 stars it was only becuase my dish fell short. I ordered the Asiago Chicken. This penne pasta was supposed to have creamy Asiago sauce. But what I got was a very watery Asiago sauce that had way too many sundried tomatoes. The only bad spot in, an otherwise, good restaurant experience. I am sure this must have been an aberration. So next time we visit Cobourg, we have to visit this place again to rectify my rating.

We enjoyed our first visit to the Oasis Bar & Grill. Food was good, prices acceptable and service was friendly but admittedly...slow. Either the server's first week on the job or some training is needed. Simple things like dropping cutlery off before the food... shouldn't have to ask for cutlery. It wasn't enough to ruin our experience... however I did notice that others were a little more annoyed. It's been a while since serving was a thing and I'm willing to allow for a little"ring rust" so to speak. It's certainly not the only restaurant to be experiencing this issue. Great little hideaway in the middle of town. As always...My recommendation is based on my desire to return... which we will.

Very reasonably priced, cute vibe, delicious food. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Cobourg! My friends and I got the veggie fajitas, so good! Also our server was very chill and friendly.

First of all, Cobourg is a very cute town. Small beach, small town. Loved the liveliness (waterfront festival) of the town. Coming to this place - Oasis. After some time in the waters, we decided to munch something and have a drink. Reviews on Yelp were okay and it's very close to the beach - 700-800 meters. When I reached here, my impression was let me see some other place as it looks very small/shady from the street. Thought to have a look, A/C wasn't working but we wanted to sit outside. It was decent in the backyard. So it was a yes. Coming to service, forgot the name of our waitress, she was so so helpful. I'm a vegetarian and she told me what to order and what not to. She was so honest, she told me that I shouldn't order fries as they use the same oil to fry chicken items! Who does that? Kudos to the girl.

First time going to the grill in a while. Was greeted by the manager ordered some take out food was delicious quality food. Orderer two salads and some fries. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite in the city.

A grand experience with wings, nachos and fries. Patio Dining for a more matured generation with a small live band in the afternoon. The cocktails were good as well as the fish and chips. The staff were amazing and quite friendly and professional. Right in the heart of Cobourg on King Street West.

September 30, 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As we continued our bike journey to the east from Cobourg Marina, we stumbled upon Victoria Park, a picturesque and well-maintained beachfront destination. The beach itself was a sight to behold, immaculately clean and inviting. Within the vicinity, I noticed the presence of well-kept washroom facilities and a convenient water refill station, which is always a welcome sight for travelers. For families with young children, Victoria Park provides a delightful playground and a water park, ensuring endless fun and entertainment. The park boasts numerous seating areas, and I couldn't help but notice families happily relaxing on the sandy shores right by the water's edge. It's worth noting that some sections of the park restrict bicycle riding, so if you're an avid rider, be sure to pay attention to the posted signs and regulations.

Clean, good size beach perfect for family gathering, evening walks, great play place for kids. Water is cold though, even in summer, not everyone can get in.

Victoria park has a beautifully design splash pad, my son loved it. The park area connected to beach front is occupied by RVs (by reservation), a pathway connects to Cobourg East Pierhead Lighthouse. There are a lot of beach side motels missing in most of the tourist attractions across Ontario. Not to mention the park is big with abundant space for family picnic and gatherings.

2022 July 4★ A nice park with festivals during the summer months. A small playground with a water feature is available. Right beside the beach. Easy access to both. Paid parking available. Though maybe limited during the weekend / holidays. Good for younger (under 10yo) kids.

Good beach & walking trails. Some construction on the beach currently. Cheaper parking options located across the street.

Corfu Mediterranean Grill is best described as a hole-in-the-wall Greek restaurant that offers outstanding Greek food at reasonable prices for 2024. If your looking for good food at an affordable price, and nothing more, you can't go wrong with choosing to eat at Corfu Mediterranean Grill.

My wife and I ordered the soflaki lunch plate and it was the best slovali that we ever ate. The staff are very nice too. This restaurant is a real gem. We'll be back next year when we drive down from Barrie to go apple picking.

My husband and I were very impressed with the service and the quality of the food we had at Corfu. The lady working at the front and the crew members in the kitchen are so friendly and warm! Food was excellent! We ordered two different salads, they're both fresh and well put together! We had nothing but good experience at Corfu! Highly recommend this restaurant, and we will definitely go there if we visit Coubourg again!

Friendly service, the lady who took my order was very hospitable. Went there around 3pm on a Thursday, there was no dine in, only take out. Got chicken souvlaki. Chicken was great, salad was fresh and tasty. I found the rice a little hard to chew. Reasonably priced.

This was my first experience with Corfu. We ordered a whole bunch of food for my mother's 80th Birthday and we were not disappointed!! What a feast!! The Lamb Shanks were incredible!!!, the quality of the food is first class, and the size of the servings was generous. They went above and beyond to help us out, so happy with our experience. I have dined in this restaurant with girlfriends, family members and with my sweetheart. I keep on returning to this place because the food tastes amazing, always fresh and generous in portion size. The decor is charming and very clean. Also, the staff are so warm and hospitality. I'm always grateful that there has been a seat available. The take out counter was quite busy as well. The restaurant is in a great location, close to all the city's tourist attractions: the beach, marina, garden, pool, playground, and city hall. The restaurant's building is beautiful, and it has a spacious patio, which serves a good number of customers. The restaurant's interior is beautiful. Right at the entrance, there's a small area with a bench for waiting, and after the entrance, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the tables, bar, and wine display. The central tables also have acrylic screens to protect and separate customers, which I find very interesting because they can accommodate more than one group in the center, but without them being in complete contact. The service is generally very welcoming, but due to the busy weekends, especially during the height of summer, some unexpected issues will occur, such as: long waits for dishes, child seats that never arrive, dirty tablecloths, and constant checking to see if tables are ready to be filled to accommodate more customers. A tip: make a reservation, even if you think the restaurant might be empty. The food is wonderful, and the dishes are generally well-presented, especially the mussels. For guests with disabilities, the restaurant has a ramp at the main entrance, and the door remains open (no need to move doors). There are accessible restrooms with grab bars and wide doors to accommodate wheelchair users and people with walkers. However, the restroom doors do not have automatic systems or safety alerts in case of a fall. Unfortunately, there are no Braille menus. For families with babies and younger children, there are changing tables, child seats, and high chairs. Parking spaces are in the parking lots and are constantly in use, so it may take a while to find a spot. The menu prices are generally good. It's worth exploring and tasting the dishes.

I had a great experience at Cucina Urbana Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar. The service was absolutely amazing — warm, attentive, and professional throughout our visit. The pizzas were delicious, perfectly baked with great flavor, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The calamari, however, wasn’t quite up to the mark and could have been better. On the other hand, the lobster dip was rich, flavorful, and paired really well with the fresh pita and veggies. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and some standout dishes. I’d definitely come back, especially for the pizza and that lobster dip.

Had a lovely supper here after a Sunday evening at the beach. We got the ravioli which was the chef special and it was lobster with a creamy cheese sauce. It was amazing! The only thing I noticed which could be improved upon was that we had to get the staff’s attention when we walked in and it took a little while to be seated. There was a free table but they were very busy so we didn’t mind waiting. The vibe was nice, the NBA final was on the tv at the bar which was sweet to be able to see. My date ordered a cheesecake with caramel sauce and it was pretty good, he enjoyed it. I will be coming back!

We had a lunch reservation while visiting Cobourg and what a tasty treat this restaurant was! Make a reso! They are very busy both during the day and night. The service was fantastic and staff was very friendly. We sat out on the patio which was beautiful to enjoy the harbour and watching people heading to the beach. Kudos to all the parents that carry so many things for the kids! Ok…..let me share that the amount of flavour in each dish was very much enjoyed and appreciated! So many levels of taste that we savoured every bite. It was a hard decision on what to pick as many dishes sounded very tasty but we decided on : The Lobster Dip - The Shrimp Diavolo - The Baked Brie - Chefs Special of The Day The Mushroom Ravioli. Yum yum yum!!! We thoroughly enjoyed each dish, they were fantastic picks. This is a must visit restaurant! We paired these with an Italian Pinot Grigio and finished with the most perfect espresso martini. Now that’s what I call a lunch! It carried us over and through dinner time too :) With sweet thoughts and reminiscing over the flavours we devoured. Can’t wait to come back and explore the menu even more!!

We took our family for a late lunch to Cucina Urbana -- we so enjoy the food and proximity to the beach. The owners are always on site and so welcoming along with their staff. We enjoy dining on the chicken parmigiana and chicken liver pate, delicious!!!

The overall experience was pleasant. The service quality was decent—around 4/5—with some variation depending on the server. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I tried their famous Eggs Benedict, which lived up to its reputation. Pricing is on par with other restaurants in the area. While the interior is starting to show its age, the atmosphere remains warm and casual. The cafe is clearly a popular spot and tends to be quite busy. While it may not be a must-visit destination in terms of uniqueness, it is certainly a nice place to stop by if you're in downtown Cobourg.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here – very old school and full of character, with great music and warm lighting that made the place feel cozy and special. The food was reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. The pumpkin ravioli was such a pleasant surprise – unique and full of flavor. The blue cheese burger was tasty as well, with a very generous portion. Our server was gentle, kind, and attentive, which made the experience even better. I wanted to try dessert but was simply too full – definitely a reason to come back again.

Attended with a group of 16. First, they were able to accommodate the group for dinner in a private room which assisted with chatting etc. Always thought of this fine restaurant as a breakfast or brunch location, never a lundin or dinner. Well, their dinner menu, albeit somewhat limited is excellent. You can chose from different hamburgers, chicken and fish. Don't expect as stated fajitas or other, it is the basics with refinement on how they are done and taste. Absolutely worth the experience to explore yourself and go from there. Will we be back? Yes.

We recently visited Buttermilk Café again, and as always, it did not disappoint! The burgers were absolutely fantastic, flavourful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. You can really tell the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into preparing the food. The atmosphere remains warm and welcoming which makes it a great spot for both casual meals and special outings. We noticed the décor has changed. I personally preferred the previous design, which was more authentic and warm. One of the things we truly appreciate about Buttermilk Café is its consistency. No matter how many times we visit, the food and service are reliably excellent. It’s become one of our go-to places for comfort food done right in Cobourg. Highly recommend it if you're craving a delicious burger. Looking forward to our next visit!

This place has the most amazing breads. The service is fantastic. They are extremely friendly and efficient. And for those of you who are buying for one, they have half size loafs. Be sure to look them up when you are in town. They are well worth the visit.

This is an amazing bakery and a must visit for anybody in downtown Cobourg. The bread is fantastic with a huge variety of different loaves from French rustic, sourdough to whole-wheat. But don't just come for the bread - there are great bakes and treats here as well, with the standouts being lemon squares, croissants, cinnamon buns and a large selection of cookies. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly, so it's always a pleasure making a visit.

We drive 35 klms. 2 times per week for fantastic bread , scones and chicken pie to die for… quality products great taste , deserts are very tempting always.

What an awesome bakery with great customer service. I moved to Cobourg over 2 years ago and shop at this bakery on a weekly basis. They bake a great variety of European-style bread ..... a bit firmer, denser and crustier. The savoury smell of the bread often makes me tear off a chunk before I even get home. Delicious!! And don't forget a savoury treat. On this visit I bought 2 rhubarb custard slices for my afternoon coffee break. Delicious!! They also carry a small range of jams, chutneys, pasta, tomato sauces and other flavourful cooking and baking items. If you are here close to the lunch hour, you can grab a sandwich and a coffee to go.

Every visit has been worth while the people there are all fantastic but the food oh my any time passing by I stop in here and every visit no disappointment.

I’ve been popping in here once a week for all of 2023 and I’ve really wanted it to be great. But unfortunately it just isn’t. The ingredients are very good but all the yeast breads and quick breads are over baked and dry. Also, being out of common items like buns and bread sticks in mid morning consistently isn’t acceptable for a neighbourhood bakery. The treats are however very very good.

Well.... I'll say it! I've grown quite fond of Kelly's. There!, With that behind us Gord and his staff do an amazing job keeping the pints a flowing! Special shout out to Rachel! Special shout out to the the Spirits. Great spot to check out some local talent and have a cold pint, greeted by friendly hospitality! All there missing is the snacks;) but hey... You can bring your own:), how great is that?

Lovely classic old small town Ontario 'hotel'. Great pub food made fresh, reasonable selection of beers. Wine list a bit short but it isn't that kid if place. Comfortable decor, helpful, friendly staff. The owner often behind the bar.

First time here. Open for 8 years. Very small but nice atmosphere despite limited parking. The burgeR was good but their wedges are baked crispy. I will need more trial for better reviewing this place.

I chose to eat here for my birthday because of the reviews of the Mac and cheese. Currently there is no Mac on the menu. Looks like it changes very regularly. I had the chorizo and potato tacos- absolutely incredible, I wish I could’ve eaten it twice! They give you the ingredients in a bowl and you make them as you like. Big portions too, 6 tacos! My bf had “the burger right now” as it changes every week. He loved it as well! It is a la carte for sides, burger comes by itself unless you want to add fries. It is a very small place, I recommend you make a reservation. There is AC but it doesn’t feel like there is (especially during a heat wave). If I’m ever in town visiting I will definitely come here again when the weather is cooler.

The cocktail selection is great, and the food menu seems to change frequently. There are many sharable options, which are perfect if you're mainly there for drinks. Just be aware that the portions are small. The restaurant is very small, with only a few indoor and patio tables, plus a small bar area. I highly recommend making a reservation. They seem to have air conditioning, but it felt quite hot and humid inside. This spot is best for a small group of 2-4 adults who want to try their cocktails. It's not the best choice for families with kids.

My first experience at George & Orange last night and I was blown away! The quality of the food was amazing, and every menu item had a notation of whether gluten free or vegetarian options were available. This was so helpful for the friend I dined with who has some dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back soon! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I had dinner at George & Orange in Cobourg with my sister while on a sister getaway. It is a very small restaurant on a side street off the main street. Don't be fooled by the exterior which looks like a little burger joint. The food is very good. I enjoyed the Mushroom Tagliatelle and my sister the burger. Erin, our host and server for the evening was exceptional, making us feel very welcome. I highly recommend the George & Orange on your next visit to Cobourg.

I moved to Cobourg a week ago and my sister and I went to George & Orange for dinner on Saturday night. It’s just a short stroll from my home and I was looking forward to making it my local. The food and drinks were absolutely wonderful. As a (former) Toronto food snob, I was so impressed. Sadly, they will be closing at the end of September and I’m crushed about it. Please someone - buy and save this local gem! I’ll do your social promotion for free! We got an extra order of chorizo and potato tacos (the pic) for lunch the next day. They were so good - as were the shrimp and flatbread. And that whiskey cocktail with fresh basil - love love love. Save George & Orange! Please!

Stopped in for an afternoon beer and app. Great beer selection, and we had a flatbread. Service was great, patio was nice. Can’t wait to go back!!

I loved their complementary crab tempura it tasted so good. The sushi there is so fresh, however absolutely bland. I think if they added a pinch of caviar to their boats like other restaurants will take the taste to another level I tried a couple of more dishes like chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura they are pretty good but they just miss something!

The sushi, and bento boxes along with grilled food here was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and the menu had a great variety to choose from. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service could have been better. It wasn’t terrible, but it felt not very attentive as I would have liked. That said, the food more than made up for it, and I’d definitely come back again for the sushi itself!

We tried the Golden Chopsticks for the first time for Father’s Day and it was delicious. The broccoli tempura was fantastic and my son & I’s favourite. We ordered a variety of vegetarian sushi rolls and they were good. We particularly liked the tempura yam rolls and the avocado rolls. Friendly services. They were swamped with take out orders, but we were still served in a decent time. Will be going back!

Delicious food! Staff is so kind and welcoming. After we ordered, our waitress brought out complimentary crab tempura. Very good food, even better service. Chicken katsu is a must have, large portions and absolutely amazing. Was too excited to eat the green dragon roll, and snuck a few bites in before a photo.

visit: may 11, 2024 went with a couple of friends and 3 kids. pretty busy for a small joint. i had the red tuna sashimi and it's not bad.. miso soup was a little off, but I've had worse. the bulgogi bento the girlfriend ordered was pretty decent, chapchae needed a little tweaking, but not bad as a simple side dish.. didn't try the other stuff in the bento, although i stress that the main thing (bulgogi with vegetables) tasted very good! my friend had ordered the (pork) tonkatsu and it had the right texture and seasoning, pairs well with rice! (but so did my sashimi!) shrimp tempura was also good! I'd recommend the shrimp tempura, red tuna sashimi, the tonaktsu (pork) and the bulgogi (stir fry?). agedashi tofu was also good! I'd skip the chapchae, miso soup.. crab thingies served was complimentary, and our server was suuuuper nice. $310 for 6 adults and 3 minors.. not bad and would try them again! they take amex btw, a plus for me.. bring change though, parking may be a little challenging, and parking meters use coins i think.. (i forgot, i think you can also pay at a machine)

We’ve been going to golden chopsticks since it was a tiny little restaurant on the corner of university and William st. Always great food and great service. So happy to see the growth of their business over the years. Never disappoints! Would highly recommend.

Sushi did not taste fresh and was dried out. Rice tasted gummy. Sashimi cuts were with the grain causing the fish to have a bad mouth feel. Long wait for plates to come out. Overall did not feel fresh and barely ate anything, with no adjustment to bill after issues raised with staff. Poor value for cost. Unfortunate experience and will not be returning.

I used to go here every day after work. And at night for hockey games. Katy and Amy were the stars of the show.. I haven't been there for 20 years, but this place was the best place in town. When I had a bad night of fishing, they were extra friendly. When I didn't show up for a few days, they would call and ask if everything is OK. Miss Cobourg. This is the best place to eat and meet new people.

Waitress service has never been an issue ( alot of turnover in staff the last couple of months though, which usually is a red flag )food is mediocre, not the same from a few months ago , new kitchen staff??New management??? haven't seen Pat in a couple of months( which is one of the reasons we went) My husband and I have frequented there since they reopened about a year ago but it's never busy anymore so the vibe is gone) except Friday night karaoke, which we are not singers but the only place to go on a Friday). Can't get food after 9ish. Hours are inconsistent, showed up multiple times and they were closed with a sign stating they were closed for different reasons. Was there about a month ago on a Friday ( cuz no where else to go after 11) fights were happening ( apparently a night club upstairs now, we're in our 40's lol so not our jam, we ended up leaving within an hour because of that and we are big spenders) we will not be returning nor will be referring . I hope it can go back to what it was a yr ago. The patio used to be beautiful, the food used to be amazing and it was the hidden gem.

Love this little gem, you feel like you’re in an authentic British Pub, great food, music and ambiance. Wonderful party room upstairs for Christmas parties, Birthdays etc.

Friendly servers and incredible food! The new management has this place running better than ever before! The addition of the dance club upstairs has given Cobourg back its night life! Best place in town, by far to go out with friends!

Fantastic. Younger crowd but everyone had a great time karaoke was fun drinks were great bartender - she rocked it! First time there...we'll be back!

My husband and I stopped in at 2:30 on a Thursday afternoon. We were the only people in the restaurant and to say that it was less than desirable is an under statement! If I could give this place a zero Stars I would do that. To start it with I ordered fish and chips but I ask for mashed potatoes not french fries and she brought me out fish and chips. So there I said well my husband's eating his meal alone waiting for another 10 minutes for them to bring me out my meal. When she brought it back out to me the mashed potatoes were not warm and the fish was so overcooked I could barely cut it with a knife! When she asked how my meal was I said it was terrible and she still had the audacity to charge for it when there was almost everything left on my plate but the guts of the fish because I could not eat the batter it was way overdone and disgusting! Needless to say we won't be returning and we will be sure to let all our friends know that we do not recommend this place!

We stopped into this quaint little pub after an afternoon of wondering in and out of the 4 second hand stores on the same street! I had the Shepherds Pie and my husband had the Yorkie. They were both delicious. Atmosphere was very relaxed and the service was terrific. I highly recommend this pub. The only drawback to this pub is the washrooms are upstairs, if you have mobility issues, that could be a huge challenge for you!

First time trying this place while driving through town. Quaint. Nice place overall. Great art. The food was great. Prices, within norms for this type of place. Service was, sub par. Very friendly, but very slow. Took almost 15 minutes before our drink order... Which we just ordered our meal as well since we didn't want to wait longer still. I noticed others around us were looking rather annoyed and obviously lacking service attention. Food took a long time to arrive. Server forgot the water asked for, but brought other drinks. Food was excellent. My wife had to go up to the bar to ask for condiments and such... Couldn't get attention because the servers stayed behind the bar 90% of the time. No check to see how the food was etc. I'd go back for the food, but not if I'm in a hurry.

Service is always good. Atmosphere is great too, this place is real nice for locals or anyone visiting for the summer. Lovely porch in the downtown area. Here’s my review of the food items I’ve had from here: Spicy Chicken Sandwich - 7/10 I like chicken sandwiches a lot and this one is a chicken sandwich so I’m inclined to like it despite it’s shortcomings. For starters, the whole thing is covered in what the menu calls “Trinidadian habanero honey sauce”. It’s sweet but only slightly spicy which as someone who likes his spice, found a little disappointing! It’s also kind of watery and even though the whole fried chicken piece is coated in it the chicken itself is still kinda dry. The bun became quite soggy. The pickles compensated for the dryness of the chicken but there were only two on my sandwich. Though I will say, it is quite a unique flavour, and I enjoyed it a good amount. Fries - 9/10 They are quite thinly cut and remind me of like thicker and higher quality McDonalds fries, great stuff. Mushroom and Brie Burger - 10/10 Fantastic, very meaty but the cheese and mushrooms pair very well. Smash burgers taste fantastic, highly recommend this one. It’s a great place and I recommend it!

We went here for a late lunch on a whim and I’m So glad we did! The vibe of the space is very cool, eclectic and fun. We both ended up getting the OG chicken sandwich and it was sooooo good! The photos don’t do it justice. The service was fast and friendly and we can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Ps don’t hesitate to level up your side to truffle fries!

Amazing fried chicken sandwich! Specifically the OG chicken. I upgraded my fries to truffle level and they were outrageously good! I also tried the pomegranate cucumber mojito and it was really bright and fresh! My wife & I really enjoyed our entire meal. Service was great too 👍. She answered all our questions and made sure we had everything we wanted.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere were great! We had the fried sprouts, spicy chicken sandwich, and the smash burger. When we went on a weeknight, it was peak dinnertime and busy. Nearly all of the tables were taken. Both our meals were absolutely delicious. (Note: If you're someone who can handle heat in your food, the spicy chicken will be flavourful, but not spicy despite having habaneros in it). Definitely recommend this place!

Back for more. This time, a perfect score! Cocktails to start were Vodka rocks for me, and Blueberry Lavender Lemonade for my wife was outstanding. Guacamole was fresh and well flavoured with cilantro, Pico, pickled onion, with tajin chips. Beef birria tacos and Smash burger as mains were as good as we've had!. Fries were top shelf. You gotta eat here. Seriously, thee food, service, ambiance, and staff make a pleasant dinner. I recommend you give it a try when in Cobourg . Very cool space in downtown Cobourg. Menu has amazing appetizers and mains. We had the Brussels sprouts, a kicked up guacamole dip, both were in the best ever category! We had burgers and blackened chicken sandwiches and tacos. Served with fries and salad. Everything was delicious. Our server was very helpful and attentive. Must try this place.

Toni amd the entire crew work like they own the place and all of our happiness depends on them. Young Chef in the back (name starts with a T??idk) but FABs. 3 out of 8 meals, got hard to go anywhere else ❤️ Great vibe, great people, great food. Attention owner people: killer crew! You are lucky and obvs smart too!

Stayed here a few days ago and absolutely loved it! Right away, the staff were so so friendly. The inn is very clean, from the halls to the room. We stayed in one of the jail rooms and the experience was amazing. We didn't want to leave the room! Such great history. I highly recommend and we will be back for sure.

We loved our stay! We were so excited to learn that the bars and bunk beds in our room were from the original jail. We really enjoyed the museum in the basement and the host was very knowledgeable in the history of the building. The service was great and we loved chatting with the inn keeper. Will certainly visit again!

We’ve come to this hotel a couple of times now and loved it! We love the history and the uniqueness of every room! We actually had our wedding here! It used to be a jail and the “yard” was perfect for our ceremony and we had our photos and cocktails in the gardens! I highly recommend coming to this hotel and enjoying all that downtown cobourg has to offer!

My partner and I detoured here for a night on our way home from Toronto and absolutely loved it! The Innkeeper was very welcoming and seemed to genuinely care about the historical nature of the building and was happy to chat with us about all sorts of fascinating aspects of the inn. We stayed in one of the jail rooms and it was such a treat! This is a unique, vintage inspired inn doused in character and we loved it.

We came for a wedding that was held at Victoria Hall. We checked in at 4pm and had a lovely young gentleman show us our room. It was lovely. We went back to where the wedding was held, spent an incredible night, left early (9:30pm) and came back to the hotel. This is where it all went downhill, awful experience, thanks to your "property manager". My husband parked his truck in a space and she came out, said an old lady is parked close and wouldn't be able to maneuver a 3 point turn to get out. Red flag there since she assumed an elderly lady couldn't drive her car properly. But whatever, he said he would park in another open spot. So I stood with her, while he started the truck, while she was still complaining about the parking. I said, "Listen, no need to say anything else, he's literally parking in this spot." She had all the signs of intoxication, I am Smart Serve Certified, it was just hard to tell what substance she was using. Another red flag. Keep reading, it gets ever better and when I say better, I mean so much worse. We park, we grab our flashlight because we are smokers, and then as we are coming back to our room, we decide to take a little tour (very quietly, we are very respectful people), and come across a sitting room. As we are sitting there, me on my phone, learning about the history of the place (so we aren't even speaking out loud at all), she comes into the room, repeatedly asking if we are ok in a condescending manner, to the point that my husband asks her, "Are YOU ok?" Then she goes off, telling us we were being too loud (again, 0 discussion between us at the time), and bringing up the parking situation again. I said, "We're sitting here quietly, I'm looking up the history, and we booked this place because I'm a paranormal investigator." She literally said they don't welcome anyone who wants to investigate (I had no equipment with in the sitting room, just in our private room) and said we weren't even allowed to have a flashlight. At this point, I was blown away by this kind of "manager" and I use this word VERY loosely because I'm a manager myself and if I EVER treated any of my guests this way, I would be fired on the spot. Again, she showed even stronger signs of substance abuse to which I looked at her and said, "Have you been drinking,". She refused to answer the question, continued to make us extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome and finally left. We went up to our room shortly after and ran into another couple staying there who had a horrible experience with her as well. This place is incredible but this woman will deter business, 1000%. I have a huge following because of my paranormal investigations, would bring so much business to this venue but I will never return because of this "property manager" you have working for you. Such a sad and very unnecessary experience since we did absolutely nothing but be attacked in the parking lot first, and then in the building. You've lost a lot of future business because of her. Reach out when she's no longer with you.

I booked online after confirming the hotel was pet friendly.I arrived at the hotel and began the check in .I mentioned the dog and the young man working told me he would have to switch my room to a pet friendly room .The manager arrived and was rude and began to make me feel like I was under attack .The manager said negative things about my dog possibly destroying antiques.I explained the worst thing that my dog does is leave a bit of fur behind .Then she told me she was charging extra for changing my room .I was exhausted or I would have left. I also took photos when I left to confirm my dog didn’t make a mess.

Me and my husband stayed at the King George Inn last night apart of a wedding group, I was not only harassed by a lady who claimed the property manager. Pretty sure she was either on drugs or drunk, said “we were too loud” when we were whispering through the hall. Accused us of smoking and vaping in the hotel when we have and never will smoked in our lives. We weren’t the only people who had an issue with her because we talked to another couple staying there who told us about their experience with her. Worst management we have ever seen and we travel a lot. We will not be staying here in the future.

A wonderful location with kind staff. Everything is walkable. Highly recommend.

The marina was nice but the whole place really smelled of sewage. Not sure if it was just bad timing. The place has a small cute garden and a long beach if you walk over to the boardwalk.

One of best marina i seen so far in Ontario. Wonderful vibe during evening and night. Just walking around here will boost your mood. There are few nice restaurants nearby. Wendy’s and McDonald’s also only five minutes drive from here.

We recently were camping at Victoria Park campground and I was checking in at the marina, was greeted by a super nice friendly girl at the desk who checked me in. My truck wouldn't start and Quinn who worked at the marina was ever so helpful to us. Thanks to both of them!!!

What a beautiful marina with incredible, helpful staff. Protected harbor, close to downtown, clean facilities and laundry. A great boaters destination.

Terrible experience at this ice cream shop. The ice cream itself was below average — I ordered butterscotch and it barely had any flavor. But the real issue was the service. I ordered 4 kid-size ice creams, and they were served to us without any problem. However, when I went to pay, the person at the cash rudely told me that kid-size is only for kids and charged us extra for adult sizes — even though we were clearly served kid portions. If kid sizes aren’t allowed for adults, why did your staff serve them in the first place? Why the upcharge after the fact? I wouldn’t recommend this place. Definitely check their pricing and policies before ordering, or better yet — avoid altogether.

The ice cream shop is strategically located, offering access to several attractions: restaurants, the beach entrance, the pier, and other shops in town. The place is small, but offers a wide variety of ice cream options, all of which are quite tasty. On weekends and summer holidays, it tends to get quite crowded in the afternoon, but later in the day and into the evening, it's usually a bit emptier. I don't know if it's due to the busyness, but the oily smell of the products inside the shop is strong, and since the door is closed, be prepared to leave smelling like fried food (the doors are actually quite sticky with grease). If you're thinking of getting a frozen treat there, don't get the lemon one, as it's filled with disinfectant, and it was a disappointment. The ice cream prices are reasonable for a beach town. There are a few tables and chairs in front so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream at your leisure (if you have space).

The staff are very friendly and patient. The selection of ice cream is abundant. We were disappointed that the cones we had were stale so that's why I'm giving a 4/5 out of five stars. The ice cream themed bench out front is just the best. Totally insta-worthy. Take your sweet treat and head down to the beach!

New owner claims he fired all previous employees and is hiring new ones. The truth is over half of them quit because of his lack of professionalism. He is rude and takes it out on his staff. As well as giving them tasks to complete that are not part of their job and refusing to pay them extra for doing them. For example, removing heavy machinery and other equipment from a rundown basement that has mold, mice, mice poop, and bugs. And then having to clean said basement in these conditions. As well as having someone do renovations in the middle of the store with a very loud saw while customers are in the store, making it almost impossible to order or serve anything. These renovations also involved turning off the frozen yogurt machines, resulting in potential sale loss. Basically, there is a time and place for these things to be done, and it shouldn’t be during open hours. Not to mention how terrible pricing is. Ice cream prices went up but sizes got smaller. As well as kid sizes only being limited to kids, only offering ONE single taste test out of the 16+ flavours, only offering one size in soft serve, making frozen yogurt portions smaller for the same previous price, and selling premade frozen fries that are claimed to be “fresh cut”. Unfortunately the new owner is just looking for your money.

Well...it had to happen. Tonight was our worst food experience since we moved to Cobourg almost 3 years ago. And it wasn't even close. We have eaten at this popular lakeside takeout before. The food was always adequate, if a little overpriced. But tonight took poor value to a whole new level. We ordered a chicken fingers with medium fries and a cheeseburger plus a drink and it came to $31.50 Prices have seemingly gone up by 40% since last year. What we were served: 3 chicken fingers and so few fries that any small sized order anywhere would have had way more fries than in the medium we were given here. When I mentioned it to the server he said that was the correct portion. Strike 1 We went to eat. The fries were a salt bomb and almost inedible. Strike 2. The burger was basic and tasteless. And then my 7 year old took a look at the third chicken finger, said it looked funny so we split it open to reveal undercooked meat with congealing fat inside. Strike 3 We returned with the undercooked chicken finger and most of the oversalted fries. The server took one look and said "eww! That's disgusting!" and quickly refunded the money paid for the chicken and fries ($15.50). He was obviously rattled and possibly worried about his summer job security. I have pics but haven't figured out how to post them yet. But if the owners care to contact me I will show them the evidence.

Our group of 5 adults and kids visited the ice cream shop many times and always had a good experience. This time we did not. I ordered a milk shake and was expecting they use the hard ice cream but I watched the server use soft ice cream from the machine. It was busy at the time and I didn’t want to make a fuss although that’s not what I paid for. $27 later I didn’t enjoy the milkshake and neither did anyone in our group like their own orders. Won’t be returning and will put the word out.

Terrible customer service and mid ice cream, “only allowed 1 sample per person.” How are you supposed to be sure of which flavour you want if you only get one sample? I didn’t want one of everything but 2-3 samples is reasonable and every other ice cream shop in the world does this. I had one sample which I didn’t like so i ordered a different flavour. I didn’t like that one and the Asian man who seemed to be the owner said “too bad.” Absolutely horrible customer service and ice cream isn’t even good. Stay away

I've visited Craft a few times over the years, but this is my first visit since they refreshed the interior and given the outside a lick of paint. Overall, I would say that the food here is 'OK' and generally consistent without being too expensive. On this visit I started with the tofu appetizer and while the flavour was great, it was a bit too dense and dry. I also had a chance to try the dumplings which were great. For my main course I went for the mixed grill and while the portion is just about right, there were way too many peppercorns in the sauce. The service is also good and the staff very friendly, so I imagine I will be back again some time in the future.

Had the Artic char and my partner had the Thanksgiving special, seafood chowder. We really liked the chowder. It was really good value. 5/5 $24 The char was ok, nothing special. 3/5 $28 The service was great! It's just kinda annoying and deceiving that they snuck in a 2.4% credit card surcharge at the end and they didn't allow for debit cards to avoid the fee. I probably wouldn't mind as much if it was labeled somewhere but I can't recall any restaurants in Canada passing that credit card fee onto the customer and not notifying it ahead of time. Hence why the deductions in my rating. Hope management would learn from this feedback.

We had 12 people, and they accommodated us, super grateful. The food was amazing and the servers were very attentive. I'd be back soon if I lived anywhere near here.

I had been meaning to try this restaurant in Cobourg for quite some time, and I’m so glad I finally did. I arrived just as they were planning to close, yet they kindly stayed open to accommodate my meal. The owner was absolutely wonderful, and we had an engaging conversation about exciting ideas for the future of the restaurant. The food and experience were truly spectacular, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this gem in Cobourg continues to grow.

My first visit, and pleasantly surprised. Service was great and the menu has vegan choices. I had the black bean burger bowl for lunch. We’ll be back to check out dinner

After some confusion as to whether open on Thanksgiving Sunday, we (20 including 4 under 10) were treated to a wonderful array of good choices including the turkey special which was really tasty and presented with flair. Our server was top notch and provided special orders for some of the fussier tykes. A nice evening making memories with family. Thanks Zab and Staff

A special place: Went with my mom and daughter for lunch on a Monday (when most places are closed) & had a uniquely perfect lunch with an excellent unexpected cocktail made with watermelon instead of grapefruit - with a sugar rim that was divine. Zachary our waiter, was an engaged & courteous host, which is also rare these days. His dad is the owner (and chef i think), & it's obvious this is a labour of love - details matter & they have created a special restaurant. The atmosphere & interior AND patio are really inviting & comfortable. As well, supporting independent business is more vital than ever - this is a great place to do that.

Very good ice cream. We stopped there after the beach and before heading home. I got 2 scoops: chocolate and cherry. Awesome taste. The lady who served us was not the nicest but it is ok. We were in and out.

Honestly a classic location in Cobourg for some great ice cream and retro design. The girls at the desk were lovely and the ice cream was Kawartha Lakes. Great to see a classic ice cream venue still open.

Best ice cream and frozen treats in Northumberland County!! David and staff are very friendly and offer great service and selection!! All kinds of flavours to choose from, different flavour soft serve, all kinds of treats, frozen yogurt, shakes, sundaes and they even make custom ice cream cakes!! Has the cool vintage retro look with swivel stools at a window counter. Love this place and wish it was open year 'round!

I took my elderly Mom to Dairy Dream for an ice cream treat. David was awesome, he opened the back door to the shop for my Mom to access and he escorted her to our car after our visit. He was so lovely and kind. The ice cream was amazing. We can't wait to go back!

Best place in Cobourg to get ice cream. Close proximity to the beach, makes a perfect spot to rest/walk and eat your ice cream. It's all fairly priced too for what you get. Lots to choose from here, soft serve, milkshakes, variety of flavours of hard ice cream, cakes etc. And the retro inspired design adds to the charm. The owner is very friendly and seems to take great pride in running the place. Will always recommend this to locals or tourists.

i have been to 100+nature,walking trails and this one was a disappointment. dont bother going if you are from out of town. its just a big open soccer field with over grown bush along the edge with a man made path wide enough for 1 and some thistles. the creek has dead fish along the path and smells! the open space would be nice for a packed picnic and a large family to play and run around.

Lots of green space and a pleasant little stream nearby but not much else. Still a good place to walk around or take your dog.

Do you like big open fields? Then this place is for you! There is also a few neat little paths through the woods by the stream, and a cute bridge to another big open Feild.

Lots of garbage on the ground, not the best maintained paths which would be nice to have to keep people off the grass. The only area that was maintained fairly well was the soccer fields. It does have a port a potty which is helpful when you have little ones.

Stopped in here while on the way to the beach nearby, I got a blueberry iced latte and it was fantastic! The girl who took my order was extremely friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again if I’m in the area!

One of my favorite cafés! The sandwiches are phenomenal, the espresso and soups are delicious, and their coffee cake with espresso icing is a must-try. They also sell a variety of local items. The atmosphere is earthy and stunning, the perfect place to relax and enjoy amazing food and drinks.

Black Cat is a cozy café with an inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. The coffee is fresh and flavorful, and the brownies are rich and delicious. The friendly staff adds to the overall charm, making it a great spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Definitely worth a visit!

We have gone from BC to Toronto. Then from Toronto driving all the way up to Quebec and then back to BC via Calgary. This café is the ONLY café in all of Canada that knows how to make coffee!!!

This place was recommended to us at the restaurant where we had dinner and it was a great recommendation! The coffee is fantastic! We also got huge and delicious brownies which were also perfect. Absolutely a come back place!

Was looking for coffee during a family outing to Coburg Beach today and so pleased I found this lovely gem! Iced coffee and iced matcha were both delicious, but the highlights were the still-warm blueberry scone and the yummy brownie. Will definitely be back!

Great little cafe in downtown Cobourg offering barista made drinks and a selection of bakes, salads and sandwiches. On this visit I grabbed a flat white and a blueberry scone and both were great. There was a nice strength to the coffee and the scone was fresh, loaded with blueberries. In the past I've tried the sandwiches, which were also good. Definitely a nuce lunchtime option if you are in town.

Went here after the beach on Sunday at about 7:30pm. 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 4-10 years old. Shown in pictures: Personal Nachos (meh, portion very small, not awesome), Grilled Chicken Club (girls thought it was good), Ale House Burger (meat was nothing spectacular, and the bun was VERY BURNT), and Gooey Bacon Mac & Cheese (meh). I overheard a regular customer and our server making comments about our table when we first walked in (maybe they’re not used to children visits and she was not happy to serve us?) She turned out to be very nice and courteous, but conversations about other customers should be more discreet. I tipped her well regardless because her service was good. I would not recommend families to eat here.

Great food, and great friendly service. Missed coming here on our way through last year so made a special trip this year. Try the deep fried cheese curds. Only complaint is there weren't more!

Male server was friendly and helpful, female server ignored me before he came over. I tried the pork tacos which were delicious. I'll return when visiting Cobourg - the prices seem very reasonable too!

The owner was so kind and chatted with us for awhile when it wasn't busy during lunch time. The Mac and cheese with pulled pork was so good and a lot of food! The chicken burger was great too. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent service! Food was great! Inside the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. It wasn't busy but there was some garbage on the floor and several tables were dirty.

I know it's not the fault of the local Wendy's, and I know that they aren't obligated to have a product that looks like the picture on the coupon or menu board but...🙄 Having said that, I think they could do a better job putting together a burger (a baconator in this case) than they do. Mine didn't even have cheese. 😢

Fast food done right. Everything was 5 star. Went st 10:50 with our coupon for family of 4. Food was fresh, hot and pop wasn't flat. Lol most fast food lately the pops tasted flat.

Marcus was very friendly. Had good customer service. Ensured we had a smooth dining experience. Followed up with inquiring how our experience with the mystery sauce. 10/10 Marcus. Give him employee of the month. And a raise.

Ok there is something really wrong with their self serve pop machines and it’s been going on for months. Their Diet Coke/ sugar free coke choices all taste like plain soda water. All the time. I asked about it and the woman said - “the guy was in to fix it - is it not fixed??

The two ladies working Saturday night at around 11 made very literally the best Wendy's I've ever had, absolutely killed it! I don't usually leave reviews but I felt that I had to after getting my food, they set a new bar for my fast food experience

I was here a month ago n there was no ac. Come in today n still no ac.. Not good for business. I had several co workers tell me not to come here for just this reason. In this hot n humid weather, you need to do better n get after whoever is fixing the ac.

Great cafe in downtown Cobourg with lots (and I mean lots) of drink options. On this visit I went for a straight up latte and it was really really good. I also picked out a croissant as well, which was nice but there are plenty of baked treat options. Also, it's important to point out that the staff here are really friendly and make you feel at home.

We picked up a cappuccino and a fancy hot chocolate that were both magnificent driving companions. The shop was the only one open on a Sunday which was strange but big points for that. Service was friendly, we bought a bee mug, loved it!

Really good cafe with lots of food and coffee options. The coffee and baked goods we had were really good, especially the chocolate croissant 😋. With that said, it would have been nice to see a smaller / stronger espresso option than just a cappuccino.. i.e. flat white, cortado, machiatto, etc.. Staff is friendly too, and there is a small patio outside. Definitely reccommend!

Very nice local coffee shop with a variety of flavours that will won't disappoint. Due to covid, interior eating is not allowed but it's a great spot for takeaway beverages !

Good coffee bean quality and drinks are prepared right. I had a go at the BLT with Caesar salad as well; the rye bread was very good and it was overall a good deal for $10. They also have a few craft beer choices which is nice. The only con was the service; it was very slow and awkward and I was ignored at the counter for a little bit. Don’t know what was going on there. Would recommend overall.

Excellent sound and atmosphere. We enjoyed 2 tribute bands. Night Fever (Bee Gees) & Abbamania. Parking was free at several nearby lots. Plenty of bars & restaurants surrounding Victoria Hall as well.

Went for a local production of Mary Poppins and was thoroughly impressed. The building is beautiful and everyone who works there was super welcoming and kind. Lots of history, too!

Went to see the Supertramp tribute band last Friday. What a disaster! 6 adults in their 50s showed up late and talked loudly and laughed boisterously through the first half of the concert. After I asked them 3 times to be quiet and getting sarcastic comments from them ( “ why don’t you turn up your hearing aids” and “ sorry - did you hear that!” and several backhanded slurs) a man two rows down from them stood up and yelled at them to be quiet. They were so disruptive (all six of them). I asked the usher twice to do her job and quiet them down with no response from the usher. finally one of the two ushers sitting directly in front of us stood up and told them to settle down! My wife and I were so upset that we left the concert at intermission. What a shame! Nothing like the many wonderful concerts we’ve attended at the Regent in Oshawa.

The architecture of the building is old and beautiful. The interior which appeared to be the counsel chambers was beautiful. We were visiting for an entertainment venue (comedian) which was located on the next upper floor. Two sets of stairs. No accessible seating for wheelchairs or handicap. The chairs felt as old as the building. Not comfortable for a two hour event. The room itself was cozy. On a smaller scale. You could easily see the performer from the back and sound was excellent. Would I go back? Certainly.

Enjoyed the Queen tribute band Scaramouche at the beautiful Victoria Hall. Was awesome!

Went and saw Grease at the theater, not exactly what I was expecting but singers were awesome

First time at this theater and we were there to see Anne of Green Gables. It's beautiful and old and there isn't a bad seat in the place. However, the seating is very tight. I am only 5'3 and could not cross my legs without turning sideways. Anyone bigger would be very uncomfortable. Other than that, the play was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. My favorite character was Josie. The talent and confidence in that kid was very impressive.

Cobourg is the second town I visited after Port Hope in Northumberland county which seems to be proudly owning hidden gems in Ontario. Victoria Hall edifice located at the centre of the King Street in Cobourg is one of the monuments which preserves rich history of Canada. It is magnificent from outside, presently closed but will definitely come back to take a tour once it is open. I strolled down the streets and was simply mesmerized by the several 18th century architecture and heritage buildings in this city such as St. Peter’s Anglican Church, St. Michael the Archangel Church, University building and many more.

This is a cool old building, and you are welcome to walk through several parts of it. If you have kids make sure you visit the art gallery on the third floor, there is a kids area with story books and building toys.

The only reason for a handicapped person like myself to visit the post office, is because the mail delivery people are to lazy to walk down four houses to deliver a package! Instead they just fill out an attempted delivery card, and then it's left in the mailbox! I am home every day all day, the only time I have had something delivered to my door is thru express post, even then I had one parcel left at the post office with no attempt to deliver. Why am I or the people sending me items paying for express post when it's up to me to go and get the package from the post office, when I can't get around very well! I hope you can appreciate my rant, i am seriously frustrated and disappointed in our canada post! Stan MacDonald

Lucky they didn't let the idiots demolish this building. Take the free guided walk, interesting and only takes about 15 minutes.

Love this historical building in the heart of downtown Cobourg

The downside is how small the gallery is. Very nice exhibits from local artists and a nice little shop. There is a creative play area for the kids too. Free admission, so if you are in the building, or adventuring around Cobourg, stop in.

The gallery is very small, but cute. There are some nice photography and art from local artists. I especially enjoyed the works of ceramic artist Brenda Sullivan. There is no need to purchase tickets - entrance is by donations. Gallery is located in Victoria Hall which is an additional bonus - one can visit beautiful Court Room as well.

This is a great little gallery within the magnificent Victoria Hall. At the time we visited there was an exhibit of illustrations of Robert Motherwell and poems of Octavio Paz... famous names... it also has a Children’s corner for the little ones to express their creativity and a shop featuring local artists pieces.

We are moving into Cobourg and have spent lots of time over the past year visiting. We've seen several exhibits already, a fashion show, and recently the current exhibit, The Landscspe Within, which is amazing. The permanent collection currently on display is worth the visit alone. They always have something to see that makes the visit to Victoria Hall fun. Can't wait to be able to go often! The staff are pleasant, hard working and a great team! We love the Art Gallery of Northumberland.

Always welcoming. This is tucked away in Victoria Hall, but its definitely worth the visit often. A colourful, creative and inspiring place to visit. Makes me want to go home and get out my crayons. AND, now they do Micro Weddings! Simple or sophisticated, it's everything you could want at an affordable price. $2,600, all in. (Space, Wedding Officiant, Flowers for the Bride and Groom, Musician, Photographer and Catering. Doesn't get better than that.

Cool exhibits and a very chilled ambiance. The gentleman at the desk was super friendly and informative! The art gallery is on the upper level of the building, and there is a small space for children to hang out and play. More improvements and updates are coming soon, but it's definitely worth checking out if you've got some time.

the art gallery is a great and fun place to bring your friends and family, although a little small it is fun to visit and co-op in. everyone there is very nice and always smiling. the curator caitlyn is always very welcoming and 10/10 would co-op again if i could. she is a very hard worker and strives to make the gallery a fun and knowledgeable experience.

Always a favourite stop in beautiful downtown Cobourg! Highly recommend stopping in if you love fun foodie finds or fresh produce. Family and Puppy Friendly! Great parking and seating available too!

What a great little farmers market. Lots of local growers set up in a circle around the parks water feature. Bought some beautiful heirloom tomatoes and some onions. Also a couple of delicious homemade bagels. A little bit of everything from thee garden here. As well some great live music.

I love this farmers market. There's a variety of vendors, from jewelry, to veggies; including honey, maple syrup, even homemade soaps. Take cash, some vendors do have debit. Enjoy!

Farmers market in Cobourg is arranged in the open and it runs from morning to 2.00 pm. They sell a variety of products originating from the farms from the nearby areas of city of Cobourg. It is beautiful and arranged in an orderly way that the participants assemble the appropriate time and they themselves arrange the stalls, complete the day's work, pull down the stalls, clean the place and leave it as clean as before their arrival. They set an example in setting up the market and leaving after the day's work clean and pleasing everyone witnessing their work.

Stopped in yesterday to pick up a few baked items to take home. Cute little place that feels dated in a charming way. The guy behind the counter was pleasant, service was fast but there was only 1 customer at a table. There wasn’t a lot of selection, but we enjoyed the date square and the coconut raspberry tart.

Went today Octber 12 for a coffee after lunch. The one man that was working looked and sounded as if he hated his job. Bold roast coffee was akin to dirty burnt water. I didn't know you could burn water. So weak yet so burnt. 1/10 Wanted to order a matcha green tea from the menu, they didnt have any and was told approx $2.50 for a medium cup of Tetley green tea. He showed us the tea bags. $6+ for a medium BAD coffee and a medium Americano. Both were bad cups of coffee.

This is my wife’s review, as she and her sister visited during their short stay in Cobourg. I always will support the local coffee shops while travelling. My sister and I popped in for a beverage. I got a chai latte which was fabulous! My sister just got a tea, but the show stopper was the date square! Made by the gentleman behind the counter! The best I have ever had! This place has what you would expect from a small town coffee shop. Small crowd, all chatting amongst themselves. Nice old building feel. Great spot and would go back again! Check it out!

I'm always glad to find an espresso joint open when I'm in small towns. The owner/barista is not exactly chatty, but hey, it's 7am on a holiday Monday. The espresso is a nice balanced roast and my macchiato was made, coincidentally, just the way they do at my local shop with a big pile of foam like a meringue. Mmm. I really feel like I'm on holiday now.

Such a cute place. We came here after spending some time on the beach. Service was friendly and prompt. My boyfriend had the Irish cream coffee and I had the iced coffee. Very pleased they had the almond milk option available. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Great coffee and a great atmosphere. Staff is really nice. Nice change from chain coffee places. Try their bagels with cream cheese. They make home made cream cheese and it is amazing. Best cream cheese I had in a long time.

Seems decent! Will fulfill your crave for Indian Food, if you are looking for one. Items on menu are less, so less options. I liked what I ordered. It was not so oily like typical Indian restaurants. Waiters are nice. In a small town like this, you can’t expect more.

Passing through Cobourg and had a craving for Indian food. Glad we found this place. Great meal. Friendly staff and very good food. Reasonably priced. Too bad we don't live closer.

Lovely people, great food! My husband and I had a lovely dinner, and we will definitely be back. The owner and server were both very sweet, and let us know the food would be fine for us (white people, LOL). We had the chicken tikka, butter chicken, garlic naan and rice. Food was gorgeous, and though we asked for mild (husband is not a huge fan of spice), it still had some spice and wasn't bland. Probably should have taken pictures before we ate everything!

I have given this place 3 chances, since I’m a big fan of Indian cuisine, but unfortunately let down each time. First time I dined in, and even though we were the only people in the place the food took about a hour to make it to our table. The butter chicken was decent, the mattar paneer was gross and watery, the paneer seemed like it was frozen before so it was mushy and watery as well. Second time around we decided to get take out, and avoid waiting forever. Not only were they a whole hour late, from the time they told us, but they gave us someone else’s order. We didn’t realize till we got home, which is a 20 min drive. Third time around they were on time for pick up, but I should have learned my lesson and checked the bag, since clearly they can never get it right!!! Was missing the pulao rice, and we also got tandoori prawns , which are actually the smallest cheapest tiny shrimp, so wouldn’t recommend. Needless to say I won’t be eating here again, since every single time I was disappointed. Thankfully I live in Toronto and only visit here so I have a lot of reliable Indian food establishments near by … I’ll add a picture of the so called prawns for reference lol

Delicious food! We enjoyed lamb curry, Aloo Gobi and Chana masala. Not sure why this place wasn't busier.

Amazing food. Well worth the visit! This is hands down my new favorite restaurant in town.
