Pemberton in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Pemberton, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Pemberton offers striking mountain scenery beneath Mount Currie, with easy access to hiking, mountain biking and backcountry adventures in every season. The surrounding Pemberton Valley is known for its farms and potato fields, farm stands and summer produce. Nearby lakes and rivers provide opportunities for swimming, paddling and fishing, while winter brings snowmobiling and ski touring in the Coast Mountains. Its location just north of Whistler makes it a quieter base with a more small-town, rural feel while still close to major resort amenities.
With favorites like Blackbird Bakery, Whistler Jet Boating, and Nairn Falls Campground, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Grimm's Gourmet & Deli Ltd & Brooklyn's Pizza and Backcountry Pizza so you can get the best taste of Pemberton while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Waterfalls
Nairn Falls Provincial Park is a 170-hectare park in British Columbia, offering a seasonal campground, hiking and biking trails, and abundant wildlife. The park is known for its well-maintained facilities and the popular three-kilometer hike to witness the impressive 36-meter Nairn Falls along the Green River. It's advisable to reserve camping areas well in advance due to high demand.
We visited the falls on a weekday, during our trip to Vancouver. This falls was not in our itinerary, but made the stop when we saw it from the highway. So glad we did. We were there at the start of October, and it was not crowded. The hike to the falls is about 1.5km long and mostly flat. The last stretch is rocks though, so if raining, it will get slippery. The falls are very beautiful, along with the stream that flows along the trail. Turquoise blue waters nestled by trees on both sides, really a gorgeous sight to behold. It's bear country, so be safe and aware. Tip: From the main viewing platform, go down further along the rocks, to get awesome views of the stream and a second waterfall.
Sanam — Google review
Amazing Falls! Definitely worth your time. We went in mid February, I would recommend using spikes with your shoes as the path to the falls was very slippery because of the snow. We slipped a couple of times but safely managed to travel back and forth. But it would have to do it again in snow would not go there without the spikes! Beautiful views
Abhay D — Google review
This place is a must visit destination in this area. Pleasant hike, fenominal views of the river and falls. We had a wonderful time, thanks to the fair weather at the time. Highly recommend, easy path to walk.
Slava — Google review
Really cool place to visit. The trail to the falls is moderate, as the sign states, steep banks and fast flowing water. Certainly manageable, though, with decent shoes. Kids and elderly persons can certainly manage the walk. I went off the main pathway (not recommended for inexperienced people of course) and got closer to the river. A really beautiful spot overall, I will return one day.
Tim M — Google review
1.5km hike from the parking lot, took me one hour. It's mostly level but I'd recommend hiking boots because there's some small rocks to walk over on the trail. Don't let your children run or ride their bike on the trail as they could end up in the river below and that would be bad! Campsite is pretty sweet next door too but I imagine it's hard to get a spot during summer
Randy E — Google review
Visited twice , water flow varies time to time. 2.7 km hike both ways and takes about 50 min going and coming back. Sounds of waterfalls and that foggy water sprinkles adds beauty to this place . Saw a rainbow during sunny day of the hike. Difficulty level is easy from my experience
Abhi G — Google review
This is a terrific hike not to be missed. It's about 1.5km to the falls on an easy incline with a roaring river on your left the entire time. Try 2-3 hours prior to sunset to get the falls back lit by the setting sun. The volume of water is truly amazing and you see it twist and turn after the falls in the canyons . The hike back is slightly downhill and not technical. Great pit stop if you're in the area.
Alex H — Google review
WOW! Great trail to the falls and so much to see along the wall. WEAR GOOD SHOES. Not much elevation gain at all but the path is somewhat narrow and rocky in some areas. About 2 miles round trip and totally worth it

One Mile Lake Park

4.6
(399)
Park
One Mile Lake Park in Pemberton is a must-visit during the summer, offering activities like swimming, kayaking, and leisurely walks by the water. Families love its scenic views and flat trails with boardwalks. The milky green lake is perfect for a refreshing swim or paddleboarding. There's also a dog beach at the north end and a small playground for kids.
One Mile Lake in Pemberton is a charming spot for those looking to enjoy nature and some peaceful outdoor activities. The views around the lake are quite scenic, with lovely mountains in the backdrop and tranquil water creating a relaxing atmosphere. While it’s not a vast area, there are a few places to sit and enjoy the view, making it a nice stop for a picnic or a quiet break. However, parking can be a bit of a challenge. There are limited spots, and during peak times or weekends, you might have to wait or walk a bit if you don’t arrive early. Despite this, the lake is a popular spot for paddleboarding, with calm waters that make it perfect for beginners or anyone looking to have a leisurely paddle. You’ll often see people out on the water, enjoying the serenity. One thing to note is that the lake isn’t considered safe for swimming. There are no lifeguards, and the water conditions can be unpredictable, so it’s best to stick to paddling or staying onshore. Overall, One Mile Lake is a decent spot for outdoor activities if you’re in the Pemberton area, but it’s more suited for paddlers or those wanting a quiet place to relax rather than swimmers.
Matt E — Google review
Plenty of parking space just next the highway. Less than 30 mins to walk around the lake. Nice and easy walk for exercise in the morning.
Nook N — Google review
Beautiful park with a place for swimming and a small playground. We elected to hike up towards the falls without bug spray and that was a mistake. Once we left the lake area the mosquitoes were atrocious. Make sure you spray for mosquitoes. Otherwise walking around the lake was uneventful and saw no bugs there. The path goes all the way around the lake.
Marc S — Google review
Great off leash area. Very safe. No parking access. I walked about 5-10 minutes from entrance. Google Maps was confusing to use as I thought you could drive in (I'm not from the area). Wasn't too busy. Doggo loved it! 💖
Jacqueline J — Google review
Since we only went during the winter, the whole lake was frozen with people walking their dogs and ice skating on it. The view is pretty amazing and me and my wife had a great time. Feels surreal thinking about the fact that this very ice will melt and people will be able to kayak, do water sports and what not.
Saptarshi M — Google review
Amazing lake right near Pemberton, the walk/hike is easy around the lake with many boardwalks and regular trails. There's a small beach and swimming area near the south side of the lake. Great place for a quick walk around - probably won't take more than 30min.
Mat B — Google review
Walked around the lake every morning with the dogs while we camped at Nairn Falls. Very enjoyable walk and there is a dog beach at the North End complete with sticks to toss. Lake was very refreshing for swimming and popular with paddle boarders. There is a swimming area between the docks with a sandy/silty bottom. Also a floating dock across the lake. Swimming to the floating dock involves going through some submerged plants, nothing harmful but they are long and run against you as you swim.
Michael H — Google review
One Mile Lake is a beautiful spot close to the highway, the water stays cool and refreshing with places to dive in. I enjoy the biking trails close by, the exercises along the route. It's a popular spot and can be busy at times. The sun goes down quite quickly and so it's shaded in the early evening.

Mile One Eating House is a beloved rustic eatery in Pemberton, known for its comfort food like burgers and mac 'n' cheese. The restaurant is a local favorite, with passionate owner Randy Jones sourcing locally for ingredients like west coast tuna, venison, and Pemberton Meadows Natural Beef. It's a hotspot for locavores and visitors alike, offering a winning selection of craft beers to pair with their delicious menu.
A true outback style dining experience. We just came from a rodeo event up ahead and thought this would end the day perfectly and it did. Not just the ambiance but the food and service itself. Love the ribs, the cookies, and well the burger was ok too. Huge portion, good lighting, super clean, happy vibes. When in Pemberton, you’ll never go wrong coming to this place. Recommended!

Mile One Eating House is a great diner and a short 1-minute diversion off the side of the Sea-to-Sky Highway as you pass Pemberton. They serve big-portioned comfort food over a stunning outdoor surrounding. On a good day, you’ll see the mountain ranges from the windows while having the convenience of their impressive wall maps to find your bearings. Our lunch for two consisted of a juicy burger (the Hillbilly Deluxe), a bowl of Mac and Cheese, and a leafy Kale and Beetroot Salad. We enjoyed the warmth of our food as the spring weather around us swung like a pendulum between rainfall and sunshine. The salad to finish meant we were not weighed down by the heavier dishes. We were good to carry on our journey and this restaurant made for a great stop. Keep this place in mind next time you plan to be in town, or happen to drive past.
Leo H — Google review
Clean spacious and air conditioned! Very comfortable on a 30c day! Great comforting food with fresh local ingredients! We finished our tuna sandwich and Mac and Cheese in no time. Their fries were also very good…addictive! Lots of healthy choices, too.
Kanako S — Google review
Main reason for low stars: we waited over 30 minutes for food and saw other people that ordered similar items after us get their orders first.. and when our food arrived it was lukewarm. We ordered the One Mile Burger with fries and a half order of Southern comfort Mac and Cheese. The burger was pretty decent (the caramelized onions were the only hot thing we got), fries had potential but did not seem super hot. The Mac and Cheese was definitely sitting for while and was pretty disappointing considering the rave reviews everyone else put out. Staff were friendly and were able to reheat the Mac but not sure why others got their food first.

Had a great experience at Mile One in Pemberton. The food was super fresh, especially the hamburger juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. They really deliver on quality ingredients. The whiskey selection was also a nice surprise and paired perfectly with the meal. Cozy spot with a good vibe definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

We went for breakfast and had a good experience. It’s half self service you order and pay first, then they bring the food to your table. Coffee is self-serve too. Service was quick, and the place has clean washrooms and a pet-friendly patio. The host was nice she had a such positive energy. It really made the experience nicer. We ordered the breakfast plate, and it was satisfying. My plate came with sourdough bread, salad, smashed potatoes (crispy), two eggs, and a good amount of bacon including pecan bacon. Very filling! The Bennys looked a bit small, but the breakfast plate was a solid choice.
Sally K — Google review
We stopped here for brunch, and will definitely be back! A very friendly and welcoming server, fast service, and endless refills on coffee! Lots of gluten free options/celiac safe (I had gluten free bread and eggs benny, with fruit salad. The bread was so good, it tasted like a croissant!) Our kids loved the waffles from the kids menu.
Crystal C — Google review
we were here years ago, coming back from an overnight camping trip and have thought about coming back plenty of times but being so far from Vancouver and with our lifestyle those opportunities don't happen often. super happy to day the food is still bang on and the staff are very happy delicious food, plenty of soul and if the weather cooperates, a stunning view of the mountains

Nestled in the Pemberton Industrial Park adjacent to Mount Currie, Mount Currie Coffee Company is a local gem offering a variety of coffee options and snacks made with locally-sourced ingredients. The company also has a branch in Whistler, catering to the increasing demand for vegan choices and non-dairy milk options. Visitors can indulge in a rejuvenating coffee break while savoring the fresh and vibrant flavors of their offerings.
Stopped here on our way to Mount Currie for coffee. Got a flat white and a latte - really good espresso. Added a quad espresso to the flat white, it really woke me up hahahaha. It was a pleasant drink. Will definitely stop by on my next visit.

I came in to get a drink and breakfast right at 7am this morning. At one point, I tried to sit at the table after picking up my baby and I spilled a good amount of my coffee on the floor, table and chair. I made eye contact with the person at the counter. She was having a casual conversation with a customer - the customer had already been helped. There was only one other customer there - he was already eating. Instead of helping me clean up the spilled coffee, she watched me struggle to do it with napkins while holding my small baby. We made eye contact several times during the event and I'm shocked that she did not help me or ask the other two people working to assist. They were not helping customers. A real failure of customer service.

Casual food and coffee done right. My favourite menu items are the stud muffin and the veggie breakfast burrito with salsa and sour cream. Coffee is decent and the service is always friendly!

Best view from the patio out front! I was writing postcards but it felt like I was in a postcard too 😂!! Tried the canadiano which was a latte with maple syrup that was pretty good! The art is top notch with some cool board designs as well. Staff was kind, friendly, and fun! Def checkout before you head into the mountains.

This is a great local coffee shop. The coffee tasted amazing and decor is very cool and modern. We arrived during the rush in the morning so a morning wrap was sold out already. I think it was a training day for new people as getting a drip coffee took a few minutes. The latte was fantastic. I’d check them out again if I was in the area

Food was good, service was not - very rude. Definitely don’t bring kids here. They were short and impatient as we tried to figure out an order appropriate for kids and dietary restrictions, and then they handed our 3 year old a plate while we weren’t looking and it dropped on the ground. They insisted we pay for it if we wanted another. Soured our experience for sure..

The Pony Restaurant in Pemberton offers a fine dining experience with a rustic charm. The restaurant takes pride in using local ingredients throughout their menu, which includes appetizers, salads, sandwiches, noodles, and pizza. Although the interior wasn't experienced due to COVID-19 restrictions, it is described as a great place to enjoy dinner along with craft beers or cocktails. The Pony is known for its wide variety of local craft beers and over 60 different bottles from around the world.
Best burger, super friendly service, fair prices — would love to come back!
Elisa — Google review
I’m surprised to see an average of 4.5. I ordered the donair. It fell apart as soon as I picked it up (see photo)). The “lamb” is some sort of tasteless store bought product that was served cold. I don’t know how to describe the sauce they put on it, but it does not work, at all. The coleslaw was inedible. The service was bare minimum and I battled with an alarming amount of flies. I do not recommend this place and its current rating is crazy even for a small town like Pemberton.
Ryan B — Google review
The only thing worse , than the burnt fish with chips (that 5 of 7 guests ordered)….was the S &P burnt wings we were given for takeout! They were so overcooked and disgusting, unacceptable. Service was so slow , did not appear to be overly busy, lots of staff?? Would not recommend
Karen S — Google review
Burgers were just decent but with the price tags like we are in Vancouver Downtown and not in small town like Pemberton…
Uros N — Google review
We had a fantastic dinner at The Pony! We ordered the paella, chicken wings, braised rabbit, and the burger — and every single dish was awesomely executed. The chicken wings came with house-made ranch that was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly paired. The paella was aromatic and rich, with real saffron shining through. The braised rabbit was tender and full of depth, and the burger was juicy and satisfying.

Excellent food and service ! We all had burgers and all loved them! Two of us swapped our patties for Impossible patties. Burgers were flavourful and good size. I had coleslaw with my burger, which was delicious. I added some to my burger for extra flavor and creaminess. Highly recommend eating here when in or passing through Pemberton. Well worth the stop.

Super delicious! Small but mighty pub in Pemberton. I ordered pulled pork sandwich and my friend got the burger. Then we shared a special desert on the menu with hazelnut chocolate with fruits that was also tasty. Very crowded and highly rated place.

Blackbird Bakery is a charming spot nestled next to the train tracks in Pemberton, offering a delightful array of freshly baked goods and pastries. Their menu features an assortment of artisanal breads including sourdough, focaccia, marble rye, and organic spelt, along with delectable treats like cinnamon rolls, pain au chocolat, and almond croissants made with generous amounts of butter.
Had such a lovely experience at Blackbird! There aren’t that many breakfast options in Pemberton, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from Blackbird. Ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon and it was spectacular, one of the best I’ve had in a while! Not just in the area, but period. Latte was great. Also got a cinnamon bun because I read a review they were good and they did not disappoint! Fresh dough, perfectly sweet, truly delicious. Customer service is why I’m writing this review - my husband actually dropped the cinnamon role on the floor as we were leaving (a heartbreaking situation), and I brought it back to the counter and told them and they gave me a fresh one for free, with a smile. Really made our day!! We’ll be back tomorrow. Thanks Blackbird!

The pastries and sandwiches were SO good! We had breakfast there twice and absolutely loved it, especially the daily muffins with fresh berries are a dream! The place is cute and you’ll surely have some chats with other visitors. It can get quite crowded around 8, so better be early :) (lots of gluten-free options)

Excellent little place in Pemberton. I have had my fair share of BLT sandwiches but this place had the BEST BLT sandwich I have ever had in my life. The pastries and other stuff like coffee is good too. Service was good, atmosphere was fine, and overall it was a good place. This was recommended by a colleague from Vancouver. Will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Whistler/Pemberton. My only criticism is that it is a small place so you may not always have seating but then again Pemberton isn't exactly a bit town.

It's one of the best croissants I had in BC. Well done puffed, crispy and not greasy. It's a small but cozy place with nice outdoor seating with train station feeling.
Riam S — Google review
Got recommended to go here by the man monitoring our campsite, and I'm really glad we made a point of going. The latte's are yummy, but the real treat were the pastries! Tried a chocolate croissant the first day and came back for an almond croissant the next and both were phenomenal. Delicate, flakey crust on the outside and perfectly soft and buttery within. It was pretty busy the first day we went, but they got through the line so fast! Everyone was really nice too, and they answered questions promptly and confidently (which is always impressive to me).

Loved it here. The food was great! Grabbed breakfast here after travelling Highway 99. Was sad I missed it on the way back, but I'll just have to make a trip in the future, won't I? ;) They were busy when I went in, but it was handled amazingly. I figured if that many people were packed into that place to grab their morning breakfast and coffee, it had to be good. The people were super friendly. Met some awesome locals and other traveller's while waiting. Highly recommended 👌

Had breakfast here a while ago and really enjoyed the experience. The café is quite special — it’s set up on what used to be a platform, right in front of a track (not sure if it’s still active or not), which gives it a unique charm. The baked goods were delicious and the coffee was solid. Seating inside is limited, but there are benches nearby where you can bring your plate, sip your coffee, and enjoy the peaceful view of the quiet village of Pemberton. A lovely spot to start the day.

Grimm's Gourmet Deli offers a variety of daily specials and gourmet sandwiches, but unfortunately, there are no vegan options. However, they do serve a vegan burger and pizza. The restaurant has a pleasant diner atmosphere with booths and local art on the walls. It is also suitable for takeaway. They have a wide range of dishes available, including eggs and burgers, as well as delicious ice cream. You can choose to sit indoors or outdoors and enjoy the scenic view on sunny days.
I was looking for a sandwich to bring with me on a hike, and this was the perfect spot to grab it. I picked up a delicious pastrami and sausage roll. The guy working there was super friendly and knowledgable of the area. He was making some delicious looking hash brown breakfast for someone, I wish I had more time to have breakfast there too. Good selection of food and will pop in there next time I’m in Pemberton

This old-school, family-owned deli is a true gem. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that make you feel right at home. The place has a charming, authentic vibe that’s hard to find nowadays. The food is delicious — every bite full of flavor and clearly made with care. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality. It’s the kind of spot where you can enjoy a comforting meal without breaking the bank. The only small downside is that the portions were a bit smaller than expected, but the taste more than made up for it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a heartfelt, local dining experience!

First time in Pemberton and I decided to try this local joint. Mark welcomed all the guests that walked through the door. Very friendly and showed a genuine interest to make friendly chat. Ordered the “Friday special” even though it’s a Monday which consisted of a clubhouse sandwich and fries. Both were delicious. They don’t salt their fries (which is a good thing) so you should season your fries to taste. I would return here for another quick lunch as the food and service had were tasty with a small town good feeling to it

Absolutely amazing service. Mark was an absolute delight, as was his wife and everyone working there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and homey. I enjoyed looking at this amazing photo while eating the food. Speaking of the food was to die for. At first glance, it looks like any other chicken strip with French fries. But the taste feels authentic, homey, and made extremely fresh. I will definitely be coming back to grimms

My boyfriend picked the pizza up, so no comments for Service and Ambiente. I had the vegan pizza and it was absolutly delicious. Probably the best vegan pizza I've ever eaten👌 Lots of fresh vegetabels and some freshly pineapple too😍 love it! The size is huge!

Driving through town and stayed overnight in Pemberton. I'm always down for pizza and have years of experience in the business. Backcountry Pizza has a nice shop, friendly staff, and delicious pizza. Would repeat if I ever stay here again.

Love these guys! Riel and the crew always do it right, incredible pizza and even better people. Their gluten free crust is also amazing for those with dietary restrictions. 10/10

Honestly, really good pizza. Especially after a long day of hiking. We got the deluxe and it had all of the best toppings. We will definitely drop by again.

If you need caffeine as you pass through Pemberton, this is the place. Delicious mocha and pastries. The croissant came right out of the oven and was the absolute best. Friendly service as well!

Best fish burger in Pemberton . Crunchy lettuce , healthy bun and perfectly cooked fish . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This cafe is a food trailer close to the highway 99 with good options for Burgers, coffee, tea etc. We ordered breakfast burger and fish burger combo that comes with a side of small portion of fries, both of which were great in terms of taste, quality, quantity and service. You can take a seat on the wooden picnic tables nearby , we went on a extremely hot day, so sitting by the highway and trying to enjoy our burgers was a little difficult, but great job for the food and service.

Was thrilled to find this ‘little’ place in the Pemberton Visitor Centre parking lot. Staffed by two very friendly ladies speaking Japanese, the Lynx Cafe is a quick and easy place to grab breakfast (or something else) to go. I opted for a breakfast burger and a latte and was super happy - especially with the b-burger. Wow! Domo arigato, see you both again soon!

Great take out dining experience! Everything is tasty and made with care, the fries, the veggie burger, the fish and chips, the pastries all excellent, excellent quick friendly service, better than anything Whistler has to offer high quality and reasonable prices a must visit in Pemberton! Probably one of the best burgers you’ll ever have!

Day 2

South side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with North Arm Farm, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Sunstone Golf Club - Bar & Grill. All together, your day would be filled with about 5 hours of non-stop fun.

Farm shop
North Arm Farm is a must-visit destination in Pemberton, offering a delightful blend of family-friendly activities and farm-fresh dining. This expansive family-run farm allows visitors to handpick a variety of fruits and vegetables throughout the year, including strawberries, pumpkins, squash, peas, and radishes. The on-site dine-in menu features delectable breakfast treats, cheesy paninis, hearty soups made with veggies grown on the farm.
We enjoyed the visit during a stop here: Nice location with the mountains in the background; Large fields - pure nature. Delicious ice cream; strong espresso. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms - and it should be every users obligation to keep them clean! The cherries and blueberries were very tasty as well. A 5* experience and recommendation from us.

North Arm Farm is incredible!! We had our wedding here after discovering the farm during a camping trip. They have the sweetest store where they sell some of their produce and baked goods along with other local businesses items. They also have farm animals and you can roam the grounds plus there is great breakfast and lunch. Our wedding was also just so gorgeous and the views are arguably the best in Pemberton. Worth the visit :)

We had our wedding at North Arm Farm on September 6th and it truly was the wedding of our dreams. The venue is absolutely stunning (even with smoky conditions) and Robyn and team were so amazing to work with. The food and service was great, the set up and flow of the day was perfect and the team was so flexible with helping bring our vision to life. Thank you Robyn and NAF team!

What a gorgeous farm tucked away right on the way out of Pemberton’s main town hub 🥹 We were supposed to just stop by here for a pit stop and get a coffee, but fell in a rabbit hole and ended up staying here for an hour picking strawberries and walking around the farm 🙈 The farm itself is very well maintained and stocked with various products and fresh produce. They used real matcha powder too for my matcha latte, which I so appreciate after getting a really gross matcha latte from another establishment the day before. Get the caramelized pineapple sea salt ice cream for me- I’m still dreaming about it 🥲🤤
Louis L — Google review
We had a lot of fun here. Lots of animals, vegetables, farm goods etc. They also serve very tasty food. I recommend the ice cream. The prices for the items they sell in the store are a little high.
Gen G — Google review
We used to look forward to coming here every time we were in the area but the most recent visit has let us down. There are a lot of mosquitoes and flies, I understand that it's a farm but more mitigation is needed, especially in the food prep area. They ran out of jam for the waffle and utensils but did not tell us when we ordered. Food is not as good as they used to be. The seating area and garden are quite dusty due to the construction vehicles for the new brewery. That said, the views are still amazing and my guests loved playing with the animals.
Thanh T — Google review
I am so glad I found this beautiful place, we visited the farm on a rainy day but it was still an amazing experience. The grounds are well kept and the view is truly stunning, I am looking forward to attending the long table event next year here.

Motel
The Hitching Post Motel offers a relaxed stay in a mountain-view setting with gardens and complimentary parking. The rooms and cabins may appear old but are well-maintained, featuring fully equipped kitchens and clean amenities. Despite the small size of the rooms, guests appreciate the cozy and tidy environment. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions such as Pemberton and Whistler, while providing a quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep.
We had a wonderful stay at The Hitching Post when we stopped for a last-minute overnight a couple of weeks ago. They provided a shuttle to the airport for us both ways with little notice, which was much appreciated! The room was clean and spacious and had a nice, well-stocked kitchenette. There is also a nice area outside to relax. We appreciated the hospitality of the new owners very much! The Thai restaurant within walking distance was also an added bonus.

I really enjoyed our stay here! We got in at 10:00 PM and left the next morning at 10:00 am so it was a quick stop. Check in was very easy, we had a text with info and code to the lock box. There was tons of parking and it’s easy to find off the main road. It’s a nice room! It’s a 2-star hotel but it’s very clean (including the bathroom) , the bed was comfy, the water pressure was great for the shower, it’s Everything we could need! I’d stay again 😊

We have stayed here now a couple times over the past few weeks for quick stop overs. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, though it is a little older - The beds are comfy, the rooms are well equipped, and are tidy & clean.

I showed up not expecting too much for the price and wow I was pleasantly surprised! Room was way bigger than anticipated and well designed/curated. The washroom is awesome and I had not seen that style of bathtub/shower before! Shame I didn't take a bath! To boot, a full size kitchen with a full oven, a big microwave and a large mini-fridge. Very clean and check-in/check-out via text was smooth. Thanks a lot

We stayed in the little cabin. It was spotless and spacious. Perfect for my family of 4. The room also come with a kettle and tea. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This motel is a great place for families.
Melinda E — Google review
This motel gives you everything you need while travelling through Pemberton. It is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Each room that I saw has a great private bathroom a little kitchenette. I stayed here with a group of peers that are doing our masters degree and the cabin was a great place to connect with one another after a long day learning.
Maria Y — Google review
This place is quite overpriced as there is extensive damage to walls we even had a hole in our wall. I was worried about rodents getting in. Also the bed is not really king size as two out together and can feel the divider. UPDATE: its obvious the motel does not respond to reviews a testament to poor management. They refused to offer me a refund and instead a 20 percent off future stay. Well that's not appropriate for people who live overseas. Now they have failed to respond to future emails. I have great hopes for them wanting to support a small company. If you have issues with them contact your bank ONLY.
Connor S — Google review
Cons: -Non-smoking room smelled of smoke -bed was slightly more comfortable than the ground -windows would not lock -insects in the room -poor interactions with management -can hear every step of the floor above you Pros: -functional shower after hiking all day -microwave and mini fridge Overall our stay was very bad. Would highly recommend the Pemberton Valley Lodge just down the street!!!

Pemberton Brewing Company is a family-friendly brewery located in the industrial part of Pemberton, surrounded by mountains. The brewery offers a tasting room and a year-round patio where visitors can enjoy a selection of craft beers, including sours and radlers. The friendly and knowledgeable staff create a welcoming atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy their cold beverages while taking in the beautiful mountain views.
My Pemberton brewery destination when in the area. I enjoy the craft beer selections. Pemberton Brewing is one of the places I am eager to try their new concoctions.
A.J. C — Google review
This is a nice little local brewery with a small but solid selection of craft beers. You can try a flight of 4, which is a great way to sample what they have. All the beers we tried were well-made and flavorful. There’s a relaxed outdoor seating area, perfect for sunny days, and a food truck on-site to grab a bite with your drink. Friendly atmosphere and worth a visit if you’re in the area and enjoy good beer in a laid-back setting.
Kevin L — Google review
There were variety of craft beers. I especially loved their patio area. You can enjoy the tasty beers while looking at the beautiful mountain. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would like to come back here again to taste ones which were sold out that day.

Nice selections of beers and I loved the sour. The patio was the highlight for me, sitting and sipping in the sun. A little tough to find, as the brewery is hidden in an industrial setting back-ally. Five stars for Pemberton Brewing Company from me!
Thomas S — Google review
The beer was ok, nothing special. The Gose was good, especially on 90 degree day but that was it. The stout was watery and the ipas had a weird flavor, not the good kind of flavor. Good space in Sam industrial setting.

We showed up at this brewery after a long trip from okanagan. It was very nice! The beer was dangerously good. The girl at the counter was super happy and she gave a lot of tips for things to do in Whistler! I recommend this place at 100%!

Out in the Middle of industry row is a hidden warehouse brewery. The presentation of the samplers is perfect to go with their logo of an axe and tree stump. Flavors were great, we tried all 8 they had on tap. Would have loved some additional snacks besides pepperoni or chips. It’s great for a stop by, perfect to grab n go but not a stay for awhile kinda place.

Sunstone Golf Club - Bar & Grill is a hidden gem that offers an unforgettable golfing experience amidst stunning landscapes. With two distinct course layouts, each presenting its own unique challenges and charm, golfers can enjoy breathtaking views while navigating the greens. Visitors rave about the delicious dining options available at the bar and grill, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a round of golf. The friendly staff enhances the overall experience, ensuring guests feel welcomed and well taken care of.
Absolutely perfect place to admire the beauty of the landscape while playing golf- and for a much better value than anywhere in the area. What stood out most, however, was not the view or the golf, but the hospitality of the workers! They were all incredibly nice and felt like one big family, immediately welcoming you in. They helped us out by giving us towels due to the rain and even gave us a discount because it started to rain harder than we expected near the end of our round. We were very happy to have played there and met the nice people. In terms of golf, while it may not be the most perfect conditions- the holes were still fun with exciting layouts, unique hazard features, well conditioned greens and spectacular views. The rates were very reasonable and the value for this place was amazing. Highly recommend!
Grant V — Google review
Nice value compared to other courses in the area. Good pace of play, would have been a 5 star but the tee boxes and fairways are not well kept. A bit of work could make it a 5 star!
Taylor H — Google review
No-frills service. Course design does not reflect mountain-side feel. Can improve quality of bunker sand (too caked). Challenging with narrow fairways and roughs that swallow the loose ball. Elevated greens invite flop shots, which is entertaining. Club members are very friendly.
Andrew K — Google review
Nice little track lots of mosquitoes but over all enjoyable. White tee boxes need some work deffinatly most popular. Very scenic course
Kurtis H — Google review
The condition was very poor. Especially the tee boxes. Some tee boxes were just dirt with a few specks of weeds. There wasn’t really a difference between the fairways and the rough. $130 definitely pretty high for the condition the course was in. Course has a lot of potential if it was better maintained. Just pay a little extra and go to big sky until the course maintenance gets figured out.
Owen — Google review
Booked 5 tee times about 2 months in advance. Views were gorgeous, but the course was absolutely in terrible shape. When I'm forced to sign a pretty strict contract, I would expect the golf course would give our 20 guys a heads up that the tee boxes were non existent and the greens were more brutal than any pitch and putts in vancouver. The staff were friendly, eespecially lee-an in the bar area. She makes one helluva caesar! Otherwise, give golfers, especially LARGE groups bringing $2500 to the course, a heads up that the course is in garbage condition, especially when we're driving from very far away.
Taylor A — Google review
I spent a $130 on this course. Only one tee box had green grass. Also there was no Marshal insight. We had to skip two holes because of a very slow group. One of the most unprofessional golf courses I have ever been to. Won’t be going back.
Trevor L — Google review
I played this course 4 weeks ago layout was good but the condition was extremely poor as most of the grass was brown and dirt like. If the course knows that they had problems with the irrigation why do they charge a 100 bucks? and not warn customers when they call in? They should be only charging 35 to 40 bucks for this course being that it's so dry and brown.

The Hwy Cafe is a surprising find in a small town, located just 10 minutes from downtown Pemberton towards Mt. Currie. Tucked next to a car wash off the highway, this upscale snackbar-style restaurant offers an array of delicious plant-based options including burgers, sandwiches, bowls, breakfast items, and treats. The menu features 100% plant-based dishes that are locally sourced and constantly updated to reflect seasonal ingredients.
This is a cafe off the highway, the right place to stop over for a bite, with beautiful views. There are few menu options, and some of them are vegetarian. Very delicious food, we had the burger and wrap and it was super delicious and filling, reasonably priced as well. Can also use the restroom. I'll definitely stop over again on my way again.

Amazing food, prices and service! I came by on my way back from Joffre Lakes on my way to Whistler for lunch. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap, my boyfriend got the beyond burger and we split the fries. Everything was filling, so flavourful and the attention to detail was really appreciated. I also had to try the soft serve, the flavour at the time was pumpkin spice which was delicious and had such a nice creamy texture. Whole menu is vegan🌱 The service was friendly and fast. I wish I could go back and try the rest of the menu, can’t recommend this enough ☺️

I can’t say much that others haven’t said already. The food was great, the person taking my order helped me make the tough choices, and the cooks delivered! We had the crunch burger, the bbq wrap (delicious) and the inferno fries (great!). We’d be back if we were ever out that way again!
Kelsey M — Google review
All I can say is wow! The Hwy Cafe is incredible. My husband ordered the BBQ chicken wrap (soy curls) and I ordered the falafel wrap. The food was fresh, delicious, and plentiful (we aren’t even vegan). The house made sauce perfectly complimented the falafel. No contest, those were the best wraps we have ever eaten, anywhere. The food was so good, we left feeling satisfied and happy. In addition the to incredible food, the staff was exceptionally friendly. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you’d like to “dine in” (there is no indoor seating). They also had ice cream but we didn’t try it this time. I wish a place like this existed in Seattle so I could eat these wraps every week. Next time my husband and I are in Whistler, we’ll be driving up to Pemberton to lunch at the Hwy Cafe. It’s worth every km of the 30 min drive.
Emily P — Google review
Without a doubt the tastiest wraps and burgers I've ever eaten. Flavours are delicious. Portion size and value is incredible. Even if you're not vegan you wouldn't even know let alone care. Leo and Laura are some of the loveliest and friendliest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. 2 of the hardest workers in the game. Seeing their smiling faces and having a quick chat when I go in is always a highlight. Try this place out. It'll become a firm favourite I swear.
Alex C — Google review
Amazing! The Smash burger tasted better than a grilled beef burger (which I don’t eat any longer) Erin had the Buffalo chick-n wrap…delicious and HUGE! Great lemonade and toys to play with. I would have liked some fries but I get it…that’s just extra hassle and I’m already a fat lad. Well done folks! Lance was very pleased.
Spoke S — Google review
For me it is the best place for a vegan meal in the region! All dishes are vegan and they are all super tasty! The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, always a great experience going there. The wraps are huge and the price very good!! I don't know what else to say, just that I hope they open new locations soon, in Squamish, Whistler, Vancouver, we need them 😍

We made a quick stop for snack on the way back to Whistler. I ordered buffalo chicken wrap ( sorry no pic, we were so hungry 😆) the amount of chicken is beyond my expectations. I can’t really say a warp because wrap itself can’t even wrap those chicken, It’s huge! And we left for somewhere around and came back in 20 mins later because that chicken wrap was soo good and made us want to try something else even we were not hungry anymore. We ordered another plant base burger ( I think it was hwy burger) top with crispy onion. Tbh, This is the plant base burger I ever had! Must try!!

Nestled in the picturesque town of Pemberton, Big Sky Golf Club offers a classic links design set against the stunning Mount Currie. Designed by Robert Cupp, this world-class course features seven interconnected lakes and a serpentine creek, providing a challenging yet scenic golfing experience. With bent grass fairways, tees, and greens, as well as Ravensdale sand bunkers, the course boasts top-notch conditioning.
Ate lunch and played a round of golf afterwards. The restaurant was really quite good and the service was very friendly. I had a chicken, apple, Brie sandwich with fries. $18. Course is absolutely gorgeous and in really good shape- especially considering it was underwater three months ago. Fairways were very well groomed, greens were firm but a little slow, but they were consistent. I paid $135 for the round and also rented clubs that came with two sleeves of balls and access to the range. The clubs were brand new Callaway Mavericks. Putter was an Odyssey. The courses in Whistler are fantastic, but the views here can’t be beat. I highly recommend playing if you’re in the area.
Hart G — Google review
The views and course layout are terrific. We played all the courses in the area and the views here were maybe the best. The condition of the course (greens) and leaving grass trimmings on the fairways was disappointing but everything else was great

We played Big Sky on August 16, 2025 and course was in great shape! Views are absolutely incredible and this is a must play if you’re in the Whistler area. Played September 19. Weather was perfect and the vistas were amazing. Round took us 5 hours and 10 minutes as we were behind an incredibly slow group; we waited most holes and we were walking. No marshall to help out which was disappointing. A couple of stag parties on the course and these guys were loud and all over the place. In my opinion, management is happy to take your $175 and then you’re on your own. Honestly there are better prices and better service to be found in the Okanagan.
Mel V — Google review
What a disappointment!!! I have played this course numerous times, and it has always been a treat. My recent round in early September was frustrating to say the least. The green fee with cart was $227.85. The greens on this Sunday were worse than any municipal course I play here on the Island. There were four balls in front of our group from the states that were slow, so slow. It was a 5-hour round trip! To top that off, the guest services team was catering to this group, all for the $$ ( tips provided). What makes this even more frustrating is that I sent an email to the management at the course and have not heard back in over a week. Saw the cart girl on the front, not on the back 9. The clubhouse was closed for a wedding. When you pay that kind of money $ you think the service and conditions would be at a higher standard
Chad W — Google review
Had planned to walk the course until hearing GPS would be helpful. No Power carts available. Were told by the starter they would run one out to us when one came in. Never happened. Pull/push carts are old style. Need to have upgrade to pull carts and/or more power carts. GPS would have been helpful on this course. Bunkers had water from recent rains. No refreshment cart. A round was over 5 hours. Course is aestheticaly beautiful. Could have been a better experience. Suggest ensuring a power cart with GPS if never played this course before. Price point suggests upgrades in order.

Ah absolutely 💯 brillant experience and tour by Eric on Jet Boat Whistler. I can't recommend this enough. The scenery was outstanding and Eric's knowledge was so interesting to hear. I hope Eric's eardrums are OK after the screaming from my 13year old daughter! Thanks again

We had an absolute blast on the Whistler jet boat tour! From start to finish, the experience was smooth, well-organized, and full of adrenaline-pumping fun. Our guide Eric was not only skilled and knowledgeable but also funny, which made the ride even more enjoyable. The scenery along the river was stunning — turquoise-green water, towering trees, and epic mountain views all around. We felt totally safe throughout the ride, even during the fast turns and spins. We had such a great time on the Jet Boat tour. Eric is an amazing guide who holds a wealth of local knowledge. We honestly couldn't imagine someone driving a jet boat much better than him. We can't wait to bring our family and friends on tours next summer. It is an experience, if you're in Pemberton or Whistler, that can't be missed!
Rochelle R — Google review
Eric gave a 6 star tour! It began with short but thorough safety talk and continued through running rapids up the Green River to the bottom of the Nairn Falls. It was fun, exciting, educational and a total blast. A great time for locals and visitors alike. Just go!

We absolutely LOVED the river boat tour. The water was a gorgeous green and getting to go up to the Nairn falls was super fun. Our driver Eric was such a Gem. Really knowledgeable about the area, we felt super safe, and damn can he drive that thing ! Thanks so much, we will definitely be back! Mad and Bridy.

Nature, Thrill and Eric = 100% worth it You will come back from this trip and might have seen wildlife (bear, mousse, eagle etc) - you will definitely grin after going up and down the rapids and you will remember Eric, who knows the river better than anybody and who really really knows how to race his boat. Thanks for the great experience!

Experience the ultimate thrill of skydiving with Whistler Skydiving, offering a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with stunning views of Pemberton Valley and surrounding mountains. Whether you're a first-timer or seeking an adrenaline-pumping activity, this is the place to be. The staff's commitment to safety is evident as they carefully monitor weather conditions and prioritize their customers' well-being. Additionally, the scenic location provides an unforgettable backdrop for your skydiving experience.
My first time skydiving in Whistler and WOW—what an experience! The thrill is unlike anything else you’ll ever feel, and it’s something I’ll def never forget. A huge shoutout to my instructor, Aaron—he was amazing! Super fun, energetic, and made the whole experience even better. He showed me exactly what to do, gave me some cool poses to try out for the videos and photos (which turned out epic), and after the jump, he even let me take control and guide our direction for a bit. That was such a highlight! The views are unreal, the adrenaline rush is unbeatable, i felt safe while having the time of my life. I’d 100% do it again! If I one tiny suggestion, it would be to add portrait-mode videos along with the landscape ones—would be awesome for sharing on social media. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The absolute BEST experience!!! Luke and Jake who jumped with us made us feel so safe and made our first skydive experience so memorable! The views from 10k ft up were wicked - highly highly recommend!!! Can’t wait to come back to Whistler and jump again one day!

Had an absolutely amazing time with these guys. The staff were super friendly, and my tandem jumper was fantastic. I had so much fun and felt so safe. I was explained everything in great detail before we got into the plane. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I also paid for the video and photos. Totally worth it! I got over 400 photos and an awesome video. I was actually quite surprised with the quality of both the photos and the video that they put together.

Bodies of Water
One Mile Lake is a popular destination in Pemberton, British Columbia, offering various activities and sightseeing opportunities. It's just a few minutes' drive from town and features an upper parking lot with easy access to the trail. The 30-minute walk around the lake covers approximately 1 mile or 1.5 kilometers, mostly on a wooden trail above the water. Along the way, there are signs encouraging certain workouts and washroom facilities available.
One Mile Lake in Pemberton is a hidden gem that offers a perfect mix of tranquility and outdoor fun. The lake is surrounded by stunning mountain views and lush forests, creating a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to beat. The walking trails around the lake are well-maintained, with the One Mile Lake Nature Trail being a personal favorite. It’s an easy loop that gives you scenic views of both the water and the surrounding wilderness. The swimming area is great, especially with the floating dock for those hot summer days. If you enjoy kayaking or paddleboarding, this lake’s calm waters are ideal. I also loved that the park has picnic tables and a playground, which makes it a great spot for families. Plus, the fact that it’s dog-friendly is a huge bonus for pet owners. The park is equipped with washrooms, which is always convenient for a day out. And if you’re looking for a bite to eat or want to explore more, Pemberton’s village is just a short drive away. Whether you’re in for a quick walk or a full day by the water, One Mile Lake is a fantastic spot for relaxation and outdoor activities. Highly recommend!
M — Google review
Looking for a great spot to park your car and go for walk? This is the place! With an easy walking trail all around the lake both in the shade under the canopy of old growth forest and out in the open along a boardwalk over wetlands. The bonus is wall to wall amazing views. And in the summer, you can’t beat a swim in the lake. Great for the kids and the doggies!
James D — Google review
Beautiful spot to soak in those gorgeous views!! The loop around the lake is perfect for a stroll and we did see a few folks walking their dogs here. It’s very much on the way from Whistler to Pemberton highway so may be a good spot for break. There is a pit restroom which was okay-ish clean. We did spot a picnic table but not many so can imagine it may be competitive during summers. Also, there is a small play section for kids!
Sayali U — Google review
About 20 minutes drive from Whistler and the road from Whistler to Pemberton is nice. The lake is amazing. Perfect place for picnic and immersion in the lake. The water were great - not too cold. There is a wooden path that surrounds the lake, accessible to strollers and suitable for bicycles. There is a small playground in the place. There are public washrooms (not clean). Highly recommended and worth a visit.
Gal N — Google review
It was a very nice walk around the lake for almost 30-45 minutes for the distance of 1 mile or approximately 1.5 KM. Most of the walk was on a wood trail above the water which was interesting. There are signs on trees encouraging to do certain workouts while enjoying the walk. Washrooms are available. There a connector trail to Narin falls if you would like more walk.I felt that the water itself there needs more cleaning.
Hassan M — Google review
One Mile Lake is a nice little spot for a quick dip, short hike around the lake, or a paddle on one of the rental boards. Kid friendly beach provides a gentle gradient for little ones to play in the sand next to the water. Three docks as well as a few more on the trail around the lake offers some real estate to spread out. Only one change/bath room and no running water so be prepared! Can get a little busy during the summer.
Howie O — Google review
Lovely place for a leisurely walk - very flat. The trail can get a bit busy and is shared so be on the lookout for cyclists. There are a few picnic tables and a grassy area off the highway which are nice for day-use/picnic. There are a few other areas to sit and joy the view as well as a small dock. Lake is also simmer friendly and there's even a little library! There is also stand-up paddles and bike rentals available but the little shop was closed when we were there on a Saturday and I didn't see any hours of operation posted.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's in Pemberton is a well-established fast-food chain renowned for its hamburgers and fries. The restaurant impressed with its remarkable efficiency, swift service, and spotless environment. Even during busy weekend rushes, the staff maintained their quick and effective performance. This establishment is highly recommended as one of the finest dining options in the vicinity. At this particular McDonald's location, visitors can expect prompt service from friendly staff members. The filet fish sandwich offered a tasty option on the menu.
This McDonald's serves fresh coffee and delicious food with fast, friendly service. The amazing staff creates a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families with kids. The restaurant offers a spacious seating area, ensuring plenty of room for everyone. The vibrant, kid-friendly environment makes it an ideal spot for a quick meal or a relaxed coffee break.
Piyush G — Google review
At this location, they mix up orders, even if you are dining in! I came here with my daughter for breakfast. She ordered pancakes with hash; I ordered the new wrap. They didn't give us cutlery; it took five minutes to get one for the pancakes. Then we realized they didn't provide syrup! My daughter went to ask for some; they refused to give her any! And as for the wrap, you can see the photo—it was punched before being put on the tray! The workers have very bad attitudes here.
Behrooz N — Google review
OK really happy meals are normally meant for kids so the staff couldn't even build the wrap properly I had to put it together myself the picture shows how I got it out of the box after eating the fries. And AGAIN happy meals are meant for kids where are the damn napkins! I shouldn't have to put my own food together and use my clothes as a napkin after doing so. And whoever has been on the phone for over 10 minutes needs to hang up already
Kristin I — Google review
This place needs to be boycott and shut down. Service is abysmal, why am I paying top dollar for minimal effort, low quality "food" and no service? Taking advantage of customers like this is criminal, no receipt is ever given unless explicitly asked for so that when they screw up your order or over charge for something you didn't order you have to drive all the way back just to prove it. I paid $30 total, and for something I didn't even want because they had already shut the kitchen down well before closing. I opted to go for the grilled spicy chicken instead of the regular crispy one that I wanted. I was then charged for a "spicy grilled chicken bacon deluxe" - see pictures, no bacon, no effort whatsoever to even assemble the burger. Lettuce thrown in the box and all the sauce on one side of the bun. I paid for a large fry and was given a small. As usual, I didn't realize any of this until I was already home. This is far from convenient and definitely not "fast-food". If budget and profit are your number 1 priority with no regard for the consumer then you have lost the right to operate in this town. Pemberton deserves better.

Ordered a big Mac with big Mac sauce when I sat down to eat it I noticed it had no sauce. I went up to the counter and mentioned it. The manager went to give me my sauce as she went to hand it to me. She said oh wait did you check your burger yet? I said yes, of course she walked over to my table with the sauce in her hand and stuck her greasy long fingernails into my burger, trying to spot big Mac sauce that was not there.. I then demanded my refund and I don’t believe I’ll ever eat there again…

Very friendly staff. I ate inside with my family for a quick lunch and we were treated really nicely. Staff made sure we were comfortable and that everything was good. Very remarkable!

0 stars. Avoid avoid avoid. An employee, who looked to be the manager, was incredibly rude and quite frankly mean when I asked for a side of milk and sugar for my tea this morning. He behaved as if he was a toddler having a temper tantrum. He stormed around the kitchen like a tyrant and quite frankly, I’d be afraid to work there. Not a team player. Poor management. And the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

Day 4

Keep it simple

Nairn Falls Campground

Campground
Nairn Falls Campground is a great spot for camping, with the added bonus of being close to a beautiful river and stunning waterfalls just 15 minutes away. The campground offers well-groomed and clean facilities, although the water may not be the best for drinking without boiling or filtering. The area provides a refreshing atmosphere with soothing sounds of emerald waters and invigorating mountain and sea breezes.
We went for 3 nights and it was great!! You have to actually pump to get water but it's ice cold and ready to drink. Very few mosquitoes and they are very small. The river is fast moving but there are some places to put your feet in. Definitely not suitable for swimming. Pemberton is close by and has just about everything you need.

great campground! trail to the falls is awesome 🙂‍↕️ waking up to birds chirping away is always super amazing 👍🏼 the water pump was broken but still had a great time 👏🏻 i do wish they clean the washrooms more often 😭

Peaceful experience at campsite ! Hand pump water stations, pit toilets and plenty of garbage bins . Coudre point is scenic riverside loop trail starting at campsite 17 and 47 . Be careful with gushing river Also there is 3km round trip Nairn fall trail
Nitish K — Google review
Super pretty spot for a campground. The plots feel very private and decently spaced out, as well as being roomy. The one drawback is it is very inconvenient to get to without a car, especially with a 20kg backpack, as I found out.
Blu S — Google review
The camgroud is awesome with spacious lots, next to two trails, Nairn Fall and One mile lake, also Green river. Hoever, the instructions from the campgroud to the lake should be consistent, to avoid confusing to hikers at junctions. I lost the way to the lake due to follow the posted marks.
Dzung Q — Google review
Stayed for 3 days in campsite 61. Was greeted almost promptly by a friendly campground ranger. Answered all my inquiries. Nice to know they patrol the site from 7am to 11pm. Unfortunately there are no showers or flush toilets. Only pit toilets that are well stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer and kept pretty clean but if course stinky. One of the pit toilets near our site has a see through roof which is nicer as easier to see inside the facility. It just felt for open to me. Our site during the afternoon hours seemed to get more sun exposure than the other sites, so beware. Other than that, we had a lovely time!
Lisa — Google review
Need to book online campsite, there are sometimes couple of spots you can find while entering in campsite. There was a note, like check the emphty campsite with green colour tag and a note Unreserved. Hopefully I found one and Paid for it next morning. Dry flush toilets available. Highway nearby, sonlittle noisy due to vehicles passing. There is a waterfall, 1.5 km from campground. The trail is amazing. The staff was very nice.
Kulbeer H — Google review
I liked the area. My reviews are based on location. Nice large area. Has a trail at the top that goes to the falls. It is rocky and has tree roots so sorry to my disabled friends this isn't really accessible for you. There are steeper areas and no railing to a drop off along the path so keep safety in mind. There is a cool little rock pool down by the water. Drop toilets and pump water. My only moment of anger which isn't based on stars in the review but a reminder. Tents are thin canvas walls. Some of us even with small children try to keep it respectful for you not to hear a child cry all night could you people please shut up at quiet time... Is it so hard? 5am still banging car doors and laughing loud... We come from the same generation you telling me your parents didn't teach you respect? People go camping to be in the wilderness, to hear the birds, listen to the river, the wind in the trees... Not same crap music and drunk people giggling like idiots till sunrise.

The Pemberton & District Museum Archives Society, established in 1982, boasts an impressive collection of well-preserved artifacts and photographs. The museum village features exhibits donated by locals, housed in old wooden structures. Visitors can expect to spend 1-2 hours exploring the wealth of photos and information while chatting with knowledgeable volunteers. The newly added schoolhouse adds a charming touch, evoking a sense of early 20th-century small-town life.
A small but interesting place! No tickets are required, but donations are welcome. The staff are warm and friendly!

As per usual, my wife and I visited this local museum and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Though this museum is only open Tuesday to Saturday, but it was now open on Monday. We enjoyed the various exhibitions that gave an accurate description of the history and emerging culture of the Pemberton area. The volunteers were friendly and provided us with answers to our various questions(ie the reason for the potato restrictions in the region). We would heartily recommend visiting this museum to get a better understanding the local history of this community.

Town Square Restaurant is a new addition to Pemberton's dining scene, located in the heart of downtown. It is a collaborative effort of five local chefs who are passionate about using fresh, local ingredients to create a diverse menu. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Visitors can enjoy homely pub-grub and friendly service at this establishment.
We got take out lunch while visiting Pemberton- and it was delicious! I was so happy to see so many gluten free options, and that they had a separate deep fryer (for those with Celiac, this is a must). The fried chicken basket was so yummy, as was the poutine! Lots of options for everyone, hot and fresh, and friendly service. We called ahead and ordered by phone, and picked up about 15 minutes later. YUM! We will be back. (2023) ***updated. We did come back! Even better than ever!!! Gluten free, safe for celiacs- fried chicken & poutine!????! YUM!!! Friendly service, great local drinks, and good vibes. Definitely worth a stop! Get take out and head to mile one lake for a picnic :) (August 2025)

I would avoid this restaurant. We got an order to go. Had to call in as there was several problems including missing main ingredients for a meal. The manager treated me horribly and made ME feel terrible for their mistake. So much so that I didn't feel comfortable even going in for the refund. He basically said if you want it fixed drive back and we will fix it. Being later and home for the night that wasn't an option for us. I was very disappointed and highly reccomend choosing a different place to eat. Besides the unproffessionalism of the manager on duty the younger hostess was very nice and professional. Which just made the situation with the adult manager that much more surprising and disappointing. So if you go here and your food is wrong be wary of saying anything.. with us spending over $60 for 2 meals. It's not the service or quality I hoped for. If you chance this restaurant, good luck to you.

Had breakfast. The eggs Benedict yolk was cooked hard and the entire meal was cold. Others with me had breakfast asked for eggs over easy. The yolks were also cooked hard. There were a million flies inside the restaurant landing on ourselves and the food. Over priced and not the best quality. The home fries were not terrible. The server was very kind but clearly over worked as the only server working. Upon leaving I looked around at 3 others eating eggs Benedict and their yolks were also hard.

Ordered the bison burger with fries. The burger was absolutely delicious. Loved the brioche bun and the house sauce. The meat was juicy and fresh - extremely well rounded taste. The fries were surprisingly light and delicious. The table came with some ketchup (my favorite on fries), but didn't come with vinegar (my second favorite on fries). We also ordered the calamari which was extremely delicious and also light. I loved how Town Square's food was not heavy and greasy, but instead light and crispy. My wife ordered the Q Bowl which was extremely delicious and flavorful. It came with some fried chicken which was the only heavy and greasy item on the table. Service was great and friendly. Would highly recommend going here!

GReat Fries! Delicious poutine, savory Caesars and the variety of fried chicken sandwiches are delicious! Family friendly and has a patio with friendly staff.

The Q bowl was excellent. Our other meal was the kids chicken and fries. When we went to pay there was an extra fry and extra chicken side added on. $15.00 extra. Check your bills everyone. They conveniently don’t give you your itemized break down of charges unless you specifically ask for it.

Sushi restaurant
Japanese restaurant
Fish and Rice in Pemberton is a relatively new sushi restaurant that has been receiving rave reviews. The menu combines Japanese cuisine with other culinary traditions, offering dishes like Pad Thai alongside kamikaze sushi rolls. The restaurant is known for its excellent seafood and affordable prices. While the menu features fun Japanese options such as Agedashi Tofu and Spicy Tofu, some customers wish that vegan items were clearly marked.
Big city quality sushi …but in the heart of Pemberton. The view of the snow peaks of Mount Currie from the window while chowing down on some delicious fresh fish really made our day. There’s great table service and a nice hum about the kitchen area. Their menu has a wide selection that justifies multiple visits. We sampled a few of their special rolls, aburi rolls as well as smaller dishes. The rice was well cooked and in great portion to the fish. The takoyaki was piping hot and full of octopus bits. The bamboo shoot salad was light and had a delightful sesame fragrance. The frozen fruit flavoured sakes were also a standout: something between a slushy and a smoothie but as an alcoholic cocktail. If you’re in town and need something filling but not too greasy, then this has got to be it.

Really, really good food. The omakase sushi is highly recommended; I was amazed at the quality of the fish, the selection, and the really reasonable prices for what you get. It's authentic and the presentation, too, is fantastic. Kind service despite it being crowded also. Would recommend a reservation in the evenings as it gets packed pretty quickly. Edit: came back 4/5/23 -- it's still just as delicious! Wonderful omakase.

Tiny Japanese-owned sushi restaurant in Pemberton. You think it wouldnt be that good here in a small town, but the quality of their sushi is surprisingly good with a reasonable price. I felt like it was better than most places in Vancouver. The only caviat is, that they only have 2 tables that fit 4 each, and the rest are take-out orders, so you would be lucky to find a table during busy times. Stromgly recommended!

Ordered take out. Had the Pad Thai here before and it was great, this time two orders were both unedible (salty, sticky...), and the lime slice in the dish was brown and shriveled. Prawns in Pad Thai were breaded and deep fried. Edamame was cold and had obviously just been defrosted and served. Very disappointing.

At first I was confused by their menu because I’m used to Japanese restaurants having bento boxes or entrees with salmon or beef. But the 4 of us decided to go with a few appetizers and rolls to share and we were not disappointed. Everything tasted amazing. The soft shell crab was a surprise favorite, the rolls (we got pemby and box) were precise, pretty and so tasty. I have to say I think my mom’s kinpira gobo is better but I’m a little bias haha. Our waitress was so friendly, funny and charismatic she made us want to come back. She works 6 nights a week so you’ll probably get to meet her too! ☺️🍣💕

Owned and run by Japanese people. Agedashi Tofu was excellent, veggie gyoza were delicious, Tuna Tataki Roll was superb, the Unagi Nigiri ri was especially amazing, even the miso soup was great. Unfortunately, during our experience, they were sold out of Gomae, and the Red Tuna Nigiri had a sort of soap taste to it (which was taken off our bill). Overall, although they dropped the ball with the Red Tuna, everything I tried was wonderful and was better than most places in Vancouver (I've been to Japan, and I eat a lot of sushi in Vancouver). If I'm back in the area, I will definitely go here again!
