German restaurant
Nestled in a picturesque setting, Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel House has been delighting diners with its authentic German cuisine since 1975. This family-run gem captures the essence of Germany through its rustic decor and stunning patio views overlooking the lake and mountains. Guests can savor an array of traditional dishes, including an impressive selection of schnitzels—16 varieties to be exact! Each dish is crafted using spices imported directly from Germany, ensuring a genuine taste experience.
This is an incredibly delicious and wonderful place. I was there this afternoon and came back for dinner. Incredibly delicious food that will surprise you with an incredible combination. Delicious homemade sausage with two types of stewed cabbage is just a burst of your taste buds. Try it, you won't regret it. And for dinner I ordered shrimp in a creamy tomato sauce, here I will tell you the delicacies. Good and attentive service. Incredibly composed The work of the waiters deserves special thanks. You guys are incredible.

The Black Forest is a great restaurant with a good selection of entrees. I did not have to wait at all for a table when I came for dinner. I ordered the Vegetarian Schnitzel Champignon to see what it was like. The schnitzel was and tasted better than expected with the Béarnaise sauce helped complete the entrée. The sautéed mushrooms that came with the schnitzel was very tasty. The red cabbage was very good. The vegetable were admirable. This establishment has a genuine German aesthetic to its countenance. The staff pride themselves with their German-based food palette that is high quality. The service was really good and the restaurant was pretty clean and mildly lit. My only complaint are the prices for it made think a little if I could afford any of these menu choices. In conclusion, I recommend the Black Forest for anyone looking for fine dining and/or German cuisine.

The food here is absolutely delicious and the portions are really generous. Authentic German flavors, and you definitely won’t leave hungry! The location is perfect, right by the lake, which makes the dining experience even better. The servers were all very polite and welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re looking for hearty, tasty German food with a great atmosphere.

This is our 2nd time here and the food is very consistent. The Schnitzel and Schnitzel burger were both enjoyed by our party. I went off the board and had the Hungarian Goulash Entreè and the Goulash Soup to start. AMAZING! We sat outside which was where we sat the first time. Recommended to all visitors.
Chris C — Google review
We had an amazing meal! Here’s what we tried: Goulash Soup – Spicy, warm, and absolutely delicious. The perfect way to start the evening. Black Forest “Mushroom Caps” – SO good! Rich, flavorful, and definitely enough for two people to share as a starter. Schnitzel Champignon – A must-try! Crispy, tender, and packed with flavor. Pasta of the Day – Came with a homemade meat sauce that was hearty and satisfying. Fire River Angus Burger – Juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The meat was delicious! Service & Atmosphere – The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with just the right balance of charm and comfort. It’s the kind of place you want to stay a little longer at. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving comfort food with bold flavors and great service. We’ll definitely be back!
Ladan G — Google review
If I could give this place 13 stars, I would! Absolutely delicious. Service was incredible during the busiest Canada Day weekend! Accidentally dropped in and sat on the patio, which gave us the front row to the parade! The staff stopped to watch the parade and didn't miss a beat on the experience. Highly recommend for all your German cravings! Food was very flavorful and not bland. Appreciated the moisture of the Schnitzel! Great experience!
Shauna T — Google review
Went to the Black Forest for dinner. Very busy but got a table very quickly. Our waitress was great as well as the rest of the staff who took care of us. We went with the waitress’s recommendations and they were spot on. The ham hocks were out of this world and the schnitzel dinner was amazing. If you come to Harrison Hot Springs this is must go to place. We had no room for dessert but they to looked amazing.
Richard T — Google review
We came to Black Forest Steak & Schnitzel House for a weekend dinner and overall had a really nice experience. The food was definitely the highlight — hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you'd expect from a classic German menu. The schnitzel was crispy and tender, and the gravy was spot on. The ambiance also added to the charm — cozy, warm, and felt like a little escape to Europe. The only downside was the service. Our waiter seemed rushed and a bit impatient, which made us feel like we had to hurry through our meal. It didn’t ruin the evening, but it did take away from what could’ve been a 5-star experience. Still, would recommend if you're craving good schnitzel and a relaxing atmosphere (as long as you don't mind a brisk pace of service).

Very beautiful pub with a great atmosphere. The service was really good. Parking is easy and spacious. We went for lunch and unfortunately they didn’t have the pork ribs, but I’m tempted to return for them during dinner.

Visited the Old Settler Pub and had the loaded burger. Food was solid and was exactly what I wanted after spending some nice time walking around Harrison Hot Springs. If you’re looking for some good pub food with a log cabin vibe, this is a great place to visit!

Loved everything about this place! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and amazing food. The fish and chips were crispy and fresh, and the burger was packed with flavor. The patio view was a bonus, and the local craft beer hit the spot. Definitely a go-to spot when in Harrison!

The Old Settler Pub absolutely exceeded my expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing – full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and served in generous portions. Every bite was a delight. And the atmosphere? Just perfect – cozy, charming, and full of character. A place you definitely don’t want to miss!

First of all I would like to thank "Sofia" our server on Saturday September 7th 2024 in the Afternoon, as she was simply outstanding and took great care of us. I usually stop into the Old Settler Pub before going to the Races at Agassiz Speedway. As I drive out from Coquitlam. Every time I've been to the Pub, and with friends everything has been excellent from the Food, Atmosphere, and especially the Service. The Pub has a comfortable Long Cabin type feel, and a nice covered patio as well, with a great outdoors feel to it. Every time I've been in the food has always been spot on. This time I had the Philly Sandwich, and it was very good ( really liked the cheese crisp done on the outside of the Sourdough bread ) and the portion in the sandwich definitely isn't held back at all. Full of Beef, Peppers, and onions and very juicy. And the Sourdough Bread tops it off. Definitely don't hesitate to give this place a try. I'm sure you'll be just as happy as I've been all the time, as well as my friends that have joined me...

Hot Springs & Geysers
Nestled in the charming town of Harrison Hot Springs, the Harrison Hot Springs Mineral Pool is a delightful destination for families and visitors of all ages. This public pool, distinct from the hotel and resort pools, offers a unique opportunity to experience natural mineral springs that have attracted guests for over a century. The water is sourced directly from one of the local springs and maintained at a soothing temperature of 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit), making it an ideal spot to unwind, especially during chilly winter months.
Lovely place with a charming vibe. Public pool with the mineral water is reasonably cheap, but spaces may be limited. On the shore is the play ground, washroom and place for the barbecue!
Igor C — Google review
It was a little basic and I feel as a tourist it was not a memorable experience. My suggestion is to make it different and memorable. Maybe plastic plants, Buddhist statues, affirmation messages, sounds of nature and things like that. Offer meditation. You might even charge more for a better healing experience. I think this place has the potential to be amazing given its location across from the beach.
Chris P — Google review
It's such an old mineral swimming pool I do not like it. My kids didn't have fun. It doesn't have an outdoor swimming pool, but it is an expansive pool.
Pouyan M — Google review
Nice hot mineral pool shallow to 4 ft deep. With cement sitting places inside the pool under water. Sitting on it puts you up to the neck. Recommended pool time 15 minutes. Out of the pool lots of beach type chairs. It wasn't too crowded midweek. Lots of metered parking outside. One can rent lockers and towell. Need to take a shower before going into the pool and after. The water was hot but not too hot.
Abdul A — Google review
Although the pool felt awesome after our long drive -I felt it was very run down. The hand blower did not work in bathroom. The Matt's in change rooms were ripped. One of the two toilets was plugged and the place was dirty, no bathing suit spinner or plug to dry your hair. Radium and Ainsworth were beautiful outdoor springs and charged 2.00 more. We were through here in 9 years ago and remember the beautiful pools outside now it's not open to the public very sad!
Sue H — Google review
A bit outdated. But overall staff are okay and the pool water is comfortable and warming-hot. Worth a visit. Make sure to call in before you drive over though to make sure they are open. Parking is free 5 minutes walk away before the visitor Centre, or paid parking within 1 minute walk away. Entry is CA$16 per person general ticket, all tax & fees inclusive.
P P — Google review
Love stopping here on our way home after a long drive. Mineral pool is nice and hot but quite outdated. It is a little pricey for what it is, but overall an enjoyable experience.
Emily K — Google review
Very underwhelming. It's just one big pool and it's indoors. If you move around you can find hotter spots and cooler spots. If you're right by one of the inlets it can be pretty hot. Washrooms were run down but not as gross as other people said. The floors are extremely slippery, there was no mats by the bathroom so be extra careful there. Staff was polite.

The food is so delicious. The ingredients are locally sourced and high end. Beautiful atmosphere by the lake and the staff are friendly and helpful. I ordered the BLT and I was so impressed. Hubby had the duck sandwich with salad and he was also very impressed

Wow!! Enough said!! Their menu is incredible, good variety and very flavourful. The smoked Salmon Lox with fruit was… amazing. I’m not fond of smoked salmon, but this… wow!! The fruit salad, so delicious and so pretty on the plate. The blueberry muffin, just look at it…. A true blueberry muffin!!! Moist and sweet . Definitely top notch whether you are dining in or taking out.

“I’ll have a cup of Muddy Water and a Cinnamon Apple Cake, please.” Server 😂 and knew what I wanted. What a great find on the strip. Friendly staff with good coffee and pastry. This will be my go to stop next time I’m back at Harrison. 👍👏

Cozy, with great fresh food any time of day! I had Smoked Salmon Lox - and it was the most flavorful and DELICIOUS breakfast I've had in a long time! Their shaved lemonade is also amazing!!

The coffee is average in taste, the only downside is that they close very early. In a tourist area, closing at 5 PM feels quite unusual. The place is clean and stylish, and you can even grab some chocolate from the shop next door to enjoy with your coffee. Overall, I liked it and I’d recommend it.

Food was fantastic!!! The soup was very tasty, my bison burger was great. The food was delivered quickly. A perfect example of what all bistro types should be.

I came here from a recommendation from the Spa in Harrison. It's at the end of the Harrison Strip (The main street in the town) The staff were super friendly. I had the Steelhead & Crab Claw burger with a salad. It was delicious. I sat on their patio on an overcast day and it was a great way to spend the afternoon. I came back the next day looking for a sweet treat and got the Chocolate Oatmeal cookie. I'm just bummed to see them and most stores on this street close really early. 3:30 on most days and 5pm on the weekends if I remember correctly.

"The Green Star Cafe" is a cozy breakfast and lunch spot located in the Harrison Village Mall. The menu offers a variety of options, from BLTs to veggie omelettes, waffles, and pancakes. Walked here from Harrison Hot Springs for breakfast and had an awesome experience! Milinda and Ruby had wonderful service with a smile on their face. My eggs Benedict tasted great and I'm not a fan of hash browns but the hash browns hey served me I couldn't get enough of it! This location gives a small cozy shop vibe and I highly recommend coming here to eat!

Nice breakfast spot at Harrison Village Mall. Friendly service and good food - enjoyed the eggs benedict and Nutella croffle.

Homemade goodness! Everything here tastes very fresh and homemade. I got the eggs benny for breakfast and it was cooked perfectly. I don’t understand why the ratings are so low… Harrison is old school which I highly appreciate and preserves its culture. I appreciate shops like these serving up real food and drinks that tastes amazing. I had bought a few of the fudge bars as well to take home and my friend got a cafe frio on the way out. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

We stopped in here for a light lunch and shared a soup (cream of broccoli) and sandwich (shrimp & avocado). The portions were generous and perfect for us to share! After walking up and down the street in Harrison, Hot Springs, looking for a place that serves peanut free ice cream, we came upon this little gem. We were treated like royalty and we’re finally able to enjoy some ice cream without risking an allergic reaction. Thank you so much!
Warren G — Google review
Amazing service was very considerate and the drinks were great 😁
VSX T — Google review
We came in after dinner for ice cream. I have been here dozens of times over the years for some handmade fudge or a quick coffee or maybe an ice cream cone. However, this time, the woman was rather short with us and the portions were tiny. 20$ for 2 ice creams which were Island Farms and double the price as the handmade Gelato around or the island farms next door. I had a single scoop and my husband had a double but the problem was they were only half a scoop. Like it was a hollow scoop and then flattened off. Like it was smaller than a child size and baskin robbins. The fudge has doubled in price (i guess things have gone up whihc is fair) but we could have got the same ice cream next door for half the price and would have been double the size. My flavor also had ice crystals all throughout the fruit swirl which wasnt enjoyable. There is another place nearby too ("Picnic") that has REAL fruit homemade ice cream. Its kind of like an industrial size "Yonanas" machine lol. They also have take home tubs of real ice cream for 10$. Or, go to one of the Gelato places nearby for a nice smooth flavor bursting treat! The worst part is the lady working. We came in behind someone who was also getting ice cream and she scooped his, walked away to ring him up and then ignored us. After a few minutes she said "so want some now too?". Idk it was like we were annoying her or something it was just weird. We are super polite and friendly so its unwarranted. Even after paying and tipping we didnt get a thank you or a youre welcome or even a "you too" to our have a nice night. There are too many nicer places I wouldn't go back

Beautiful patio with ample seating and umbrella shade coverage. Our server DJ was attentive and very friendly. Food was amazing. I got the calamari meal, it was perfectly done and flavourful. Husband got the lamb souvlaki and did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. Unfortunately the upstairs is not accessible, tonight downstairs was not available so someone requiring access would not have been able to dine.

At first, we thought the prices were a bit expensive, but then we decided to sit down and enjoy the familiar culture’s restaurant with such a beautiful view. It was by far the best among the Greek restaurants we’ve tried. The food, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the attentiveness of the staff were absolutely amazing—truly perfect in every way. There’s nothing negative to say about this place, and I will definitely come back again. And thank to our waiter “DJ” he is perfect guy and very attentive. We completely fell in love with their food!

I had my Birthday dinner here with my parents recently. Great food. Lovely mixture of music although I'm not quite sure if it's Greek music. Great view of mountain and lake scenery. A nice chill out spot.

Food was very tasty albeit a bit expensive. My partner had the seafood souvlaki and I had the pulled lamb burger. We would go back again for sure. Service was lovely and atmosphere was enjoyable.

Had a beautiful lunch by the water in Harrison yesterday. The rooftop patio offered a lovely ambience with a peaceful view of the lake and soft traditional Greek music playing in the background. The food was fresh with light, crisp flavours—simple yet satisfying. The only downside was the service. There was only one server for the entire patio, and she was clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers. This wasn’t her fault; she handled it as best as she could. Management should definitely schedule more staff, especially during peak hours and nice weather. That said, we really enjoyed the experience and will absolutely be back!

This was $24 and probably the most bland dips I have ever had. The patio looked really nice though! We ordered take out

The Greek specials are delicious, perfectly seasoned, and considerate in portions. The meat are more tender and better textured then many places we been to. Nestled along the picturesque Esplanade, Morgan's Bistro is a delightful dining destination in Harrison Hot Springs that perfectly marries sophistication with comfort. This charming eatery specializes in creative West Coast cuisine, showcasing an impressive array of seafood dishes alongside options for those who prefer non-seafood fare. The inviting atmosphere is enhanced by outdoor seating where diners can soak up stunning views of Harrison Lake while enjoying their meals.
The atmosphere made you feel at home, with fresh-cut flowers, romantic lighting, and a lovely staff. The food was fresh and in large portions. I had delicious short ribs and a glass of pinot noir for dinner. End the meal with a light lemon cheesecake! The best place to eat in Harrison, and we've tried one too many bad places!

So they don't advertise but do accommodate vegans. Based on reviews and our experience it's possible the options change from time to time. I will say however the vegan dish we had was good, it did not have much substance. Portion is fine and fair but nothing in it was particularly filling. 4 mini potatoes and a bunch of veggies. If some beans were added or something similar it would far increase the value. We did leave and go get sushi as we were still quite hungry. (Yes we ordered two of these dishes). Drinks were also pretty good. The price of the vegan dishes were quite high at $39 each. Which I wouldn't care as much if it filled me but we again left to go eat at another place. If you are not vegan I think the value would be better. So overall not bad but there's lots of room for improvement.

So we walked in and got a reservation a day before for our anniversary since we were in town visiting. Fast forward to the actual dinner, they gave us a glass of water each however food and drinks took a total of 30 minutes wait time. I specifically ordered spaghetti and meatballs but when they served my meal it was linguine 🤦🏽‍♀️. It already took so long to come and I was already disgusted by the error. The wild cod dish was just okay. Both meals didn’t hit a nerve but bonus point was the ingredients were fresh. I don’t remember the name of the drink but it was the best thing about the dinner and that’s why I gave 3 stars. It was made to perfection. If I had to come back here, it would just be for the drink. Overall it was an overpriced dinner for something we didn’t enjoy. We definitely had better street food than what was supposed to be fine dining.
Folashade A — Google review
Their in-house Meatballs were great, the lamb shank was good and the mulled cider hits just right. However, the rack of lambs (shown in the photo) ,that was a house special, was way too salty and way overpriced $62!! While the Lamb shank was $48. You could feel the crunch of the salt chunks stuck on the bone and meat. Just ask and be careful maybe it was just a one time occurrence but still have to let people know. The service was excellent and ambiance was very pleasant.

This is our first dinner since arriving this beautiful place. The Prawns Diablo is fantastic. The sauce is creamy and slightly spicy that makes you feel something dancing on the tongue. Also the toasted breads on top are rich buttery and toasty aroma. The clams spaghetti is also great just a little bit salty. Both are big portions to us. We are full and happy.
Klaus S — Google review
My partner and I went to Morgan's hoping for a fine dining experience and left very frustrated. We waited over an hour for our meal. When it arrived, we had to ask for cutlery. I wouldn't have mentioned it but it helps to understand the poor service. Luckily we asked for bread (which by the way they charge for). I had the eggplant dish. Jamie, our server said she could top it on spaghetti. The spaghetti was tasteless so i asked for olive oil and salt which made it tasty. My partner's char was good. The beans were undercooked and the lemon rice not very lemony. We asked for more bread from 2 servers and did not get it even though we checked with our server who said it was on the way. Jamie didn't even realize it until I told her when she was clearing our plates. Jamie came back with our bill and said she had not charged us for the 2 orders of bread and taken 10% off for the pasta. I paid and then noticed that she had taken 2 breads off but then added another. I told her this and she said she did not. Very poor service and average food. We spent $130 and did not even have alcohol.

We had an amazing dinner at Morgan’s Bistro! The food was delicious, drinks were yummy, and the service from Sam and Jayme was excellent! They really made the night feel special. Highly recommend

The restaurant itself felt a little outdated, but the food and service was top notch. Glad we decided to check it out during our visit to Harrison. Delicious

Harrison Corner Cafe is a charming eatery located at 196 Esplanade Ave, Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia. The owners, Patricia and Danny, moved from Vancouver to pursue their dream of owning a restaurant. The cafe offers a delectable menu for breakfast and lunch, with vegetarian-friendly options available. Visitors can expect a warm and cozy atmosphere while indulging in some of the best meals during their trip.
We had such a wonderful time at Harrison Corner Café! The lady who served us was short-handed, but you would never know it she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The food was fantastic, with amazing quality and flavors. This was my second visit, but it was extra special because we were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. I wanted everything to be perfect for her visit, and instead of having breakfast at the resort, we chose to come here. I am so happy we did 🤩 it was the best decision! Thank you for being so welcoming and kind. We left with a beautiful memory and the unforgettable taste of your pancakes and waffles. 💛

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and finally got the opportunity! It was very slow to get started with drinks and placing our order, but the overall experience was great. Our whole group enjoyed their breakfasts and I would definitely go back again! I loved that they had an option to get a half-sized Benny for $10.99 (comes with breakfast potatoes). I added the sausages. The portion of breakfast potatoes was a bit small but they were soo sooo tasty. “The Usual” for $16.99 was popular and i appreciated that it came with 2 bacon slices and 1 sausage, so that you don’t have to choose between protein. Having never been there before, I didn’t realize that the inside of the restaurant is quite cute! You’d never have known, since the outside of the building is quite simple. It was a bit loud and echoey inside once it filled up inside and with the coffee machines going. The restaurant also has a free parking lot for guests. It seems like they have a fancy espresso machine but the menu didn’t advertise those drinks (that I could see).

Just stopped off here first for our stay for a quick bite to eat and wow great service and vibes inside. The food was delicious! Very flavourful and those fries! 🙌 Crispy and light like no other! But best of all was our server Lana very sweet and attentive all the way through!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stopped at Harrison Corner Cafe on our RV tour, and we’re so glad we did! The breakfast was absolutely fantastic—everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. A special shoutout to Lana, our server, who was brilliant—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Don’t hesitate to come here if you’re in Harrison Hot Springs. Highly recommended!

Fantastic service and hands down the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with golden waffles that make you rethink what brunch can be. This spot doesn’t just serve brunch—it redefines it.

Great breakfast spot with easy parking and cozy atmosphere. Service was super fast and friendly. We had the croque madame and breakfast sandwich, both were excellent and the potatoes were crispy and fresh. No-brainer spot if you’re looking for a quick quality bite on your way out of town.

I am not exaggerating when I say this has one of the best vegan breakfasts I have had. Seasoning and tofu scramble done to perfection!

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Sasquatch Provincial Park. Not quite as popular as Harrison Hot Springs Public Mineral Pool, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Provincial park
Sasquatch Provincial Park is a stunning destination featuring picturesque lakes, lush forests, and abundant wildlife. The park is a popular choice for camping, hiking, boating, and wildlife viewing. Visitors can explore numerous scenic trails and discover secluded beach areas along the perimeter of Hicks Lake. The waterfront camping at Hicks Lake offers a beautiful setting for outdoor enthusiasts. While some visitors have found the reservation system confusing, others have enjoyed the flexibility to choose from available spots upon arrival.
Hicks Lake Campground nice and got no problem at all with the ranger. With stunning lake and mountain view and you can enjoy water activity such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing and even fishing. There is a playground too for kids, dog friendly campsite off leash on site. Pit washrooms available. I will definitely keep coming back here and even stay longer. Campsite open till Oct 15, 2024 this year.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds. They have a beautiful quiet lake and the campground itself is peaceful and enjoyable. The only downside is the unpaved road to the campsite, it is very bumpy; but if you're willing to drive down that road it is worth it.
Karen G — Google review
Went camping here one night mid week second week of September. No reservation since it requires 48 hr lead time. But of all the spots only about 10 were taken. We had the choice of lovely #7 or #10 lakeside. Wonderful hiking - we hiked to the beach at the east end of the lake, and then retraced our steps - to stay on a trail instead of taking the north side route which was an old logging road. When you enter the campground, you need to check the bulletin board to see what spots are not reserved. They have a list, so snap a picture of it. The list is for a two day period - it was for the day we arrived and the day before. If you find a spot with no reservation print out on the little reserved/address post of the spot - it either means the people used the spot and left or if after 11 am of the second day, the spot will be given up to other parties since the people who paid for the reservation did not arrive. It is pretty easy to find the friendly ranger to ask about a spot if this is the situation you find yourself in. If you find a spot that is not on the list, then it is automatically available for you to take :). The ranger will come by later to collect payment. Cash only, and have loonies/toonies for change.

Sasquatch Provincial Park is truly a wilderness gem, offering a fantastic outdoor experience that my family thoroughly enjoyed. With two stunning lakes, Hick's Lake and Deer Lake, and an array of family-friendly hiking trails, it's a nature lover's paradise. Our hike at Hick's Lake, which was around 6 km, was an absolute delight. Even my 7-year-old son had a blast, and that's a testament to how kid-friendly the trail is. The path meandered through lush forests with captivating glimpses of the lake, creating a perfect balance of adventure and serenity. Hick's Lake itself is a marvel, and the beach was a great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The day-use area can get a bit crowded, especially when the weather is nice, but it's understandable as the park is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of nearby Harrison. We also camped at Sasquatch Provincial Park, and while some of the double sites were a bit challenging to navigate due to rocks, they offered a good level of privacy. The lack of cell service was a bonus, truly immersing us in the wilderness experience. Deer Lake was a peaceful, lesser-known lake in the park. It provided a serene contrast to the more popular Hick's Lake, and we appreciated the tranquility. One small hiccup was the lack of clear signage for the bench campground, but once we found it, we were pleased with our choice. Sasquatch Provincial Park is a hidden wilderness paradise, offering outdoor activities for all ages and a great escape from the Harrison crowd. It's a place where you can truly disconnect and appreciate the natural beauty of British Columbia.
Pradip G — Google review
Beautiful lake and great sites but confusing system. I rolled in only to find every site with a red reserved sign. It was odd because there was only a few people in the entire park and it was already 7:00. It was a ghost town with every site reserved. I drove around forever and couldn't find a site host to ask. I was about to leave but had nowhere else to go so I finally just parked in a site and a host eventually came around for payment. Turns out from what I understand the reserved sign means NOTHING. You have to find the announcement board, look at a printed sheet and find out which numbers are actually reserved. Take a picture of the papers and drive around looking at the site numbers to see if they are reserved. This process wasnt posted on the board or anywhere. Why even have the reserved signs, what purpose do they serve? Just make a sign that says 'find and refer to announcement board'.

The Lakeside campground is located within a 5 minute walk to the small beach and Deer Lake. It’s about a 22km drive from Lakeside campground to Harrison Hot Springs in case you need to make any beer or grocery runs. The gravel road leading to the campground (approximately 5km) is full of potholes and we had quite the adventure weaving through them. The campsites are really close together so there isn’t much privacy – especially the ones in the middle. We stayed at the site L40 in April 2019 and there was no shade or trees to tie onto to. There are only outhouses there – no flush toilets or showers. There was a hand pump for water (the other taps were still closed for the season). The outhouses were kept very clean. The highlight of the campground is definitely the close proximity to the lake and dock. There is a short hike that goes partially around the lake. Other than that, there is not much else to explore and see in this area. You do have the option of checking out the bigger lake – Hicks Lake. The service people were incredibly friendly and on top of things. We bought bundles of wood from them (3 for $22).

What you would expect from a highly trafficked provincial park campground. Deer lake (Lakeside camp ground) beach sites have Pit toilets. Running water, shaded campsites. Goose poop covered grass beach. Shallow water dock. Boat launch with parking. Electric motors only. Dogs ok leashed. A few km of gravel road in. $23 a night.
Damon H — Google review
We stayed at Bench campground for two nights. The park was clean and quite. 13 km away from Harrison Hot springs, quite remote and no mobile signal coverage. Park does not have any showers, flush toilets and only pit toilets. There are couple of lakes near by to enjoy. Good for RV campers than tents.

The Lodge on Harrison Lake is a pet-friendly destination, making it perfect for those who want to bring their furry friends along. The resort offers dog-friendly cabins and provides a fantastic dining experience at its restaurant. It's also an ideal location for weddings, with intimate surroundings and stunning mountain views that create the perfect backdrop for photos.
I came to The lodge on Harrison Lake on my birthday night. This is one of the most beautiful cottage. I went in month of February. The town itself is beautiful. Parking is available for cars. Only issue I faced was finding the room. There is no reception and guide manual. All the room got beautiful beach view and easy excess to beach. Loved my stay in the Lodge on Harrison Lake. I enjoy my birthday with my friend. We had a great time with beautiful view. Room was huge, neat and clean. I would Highly recommend it to someone who is looking for a place with a beautiful view.

I stayed in Cabin 1 at The Lodge on Harrison Lake, and it was an amazing experience. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had a beautiful view of the lake. The private setting made it feel like a true getaway, yet it was still close to town. Waking up to the sound of the water and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere was the highlight. Would definitely stay again!
Dina S — Google review
The location is unbeatable, however, the way the lodge is run is unacceptable. We stayed here for one night and the cabin itself is great. Unfortunately we first noticed something was wrong when the $20 wood bundle we payed for was not provided upon check in. We called the owner and he told us to get it ourselves behind the wood shed. Weird but no problem. Around 10 pm during our stay, the water to the entire lodge randomly shut off. The owner asked us to help him look around the lodge to make sure no pipes had burst. We had no issue doing so but wondered if this place was manned at all. After looking around and seeing no burst pipes, the owner assured as that he would deal with the issue ASAP. We had no running water for the rest of the night and had to go to the convenience store to get potable water for drinking and showering. The owner had assured us he would get in contact with us to update us with the situation but never did. Upon reaching out further, he just ghosted us and never replied. The location and lodge itself is beautiful without a doubt. The lack of running water and accountability is what would make us never recommend the lodge to anyone. We did not expect or want any compensation because we still enjoyed our stay at the end of the day. However, It is the complete lack of communication and responsiveness from the owner that makes us frustrated. This is not how you should run a business. Book at your own risk

Be very careful when booking for their wedding. They took a 7,000k deposit from us and when the war in Iran started and we had to cancel the wedding date, they wouldn’t refund our money. We even asked if they could refund 50% at least, and they said no. 100% profit for them. We were duped by the 10k package, which is a lie cause you need to pay for so many little things, you end up spending almost $40k. Fair warning to everyone.
Kajal A — Google review
Book carefully - If you added something like kayak rentals and it rains, they will not offer refunds. I ordered Champagne and chocolates for our arrival, and they forgot. Evenually it arrive din our room late in the evening-the cheapest bottle that could be purchased last minute and dropped off warm with no ice offered or in the room ($75 wasted). There are no windows to open anywhere in the cabins or units (which I find quite dangerous personally). There is no on or offsite office to see someone in person. If you are looking to discuss your bill, they will ghost you by ignoring your calls showing up on his call display. The customer service is really really bad, which is such a shame given such a beautiful resort.

Beautiful secluded property with amazing views and ample amenities! We stayed in the main residence and had a blast! Couldn't get enough of the beautiful views and amazing places to relax!
Tabitha M — Google review
Everything about this property is luxury done properly. It is stunning both inside and out. The grounds are so well maintained, private and memorizing. I'm not sure if it's better at night or the day. It's a quick 3 min drive to town, which is so charming and activities for all ages. We checkout your the inflatable water park with the kids and headed back. Our favorite time was walking down to the water after our dinner. Taking a dip in the glacier fed lake and then enjoying the sauna or have a long hot soaker tub. Equally the best was having a fresh brewed cup of coffee on the patio and just taking in all the fresh air, and beautiful scenery. Kitchens are fully equipped, linens are high quality and lots of them. My teens favorite part was the Murphy bed and water fountain!! It's all these little touches that are so neat about this place. The staff was beyond accommodating in everyday. From starting the trip to checking out. Easy and stress free. We can't wait to go back!!

My wife and I (with our dog) stayed 2 nights in August 2024 in one of the two Cabins. Location is spectacular and accommodations good (very dog friendly). We believe a few suggestions to ownership are in order to improve future guest experiences for what it costs to stay here. Maintenance needs attention: the latch on the entry gate to our cabin area was broken. The exterior windows of our cabin to the magnificent views of the lake could be cleaned more regularly as they has cob webs/debris etc that interfered with some of the lake view. The Kitchen is highlighted as "fully stocked" but it is not. It is a beautiful kitchen but it had no wine glasses, lacked a sheet pan to reheat food, had no good pot for boiling water for pasta and had no olive oil or spices (beside salt and pepper) so if you plan on cooking yourself you will be disappointed. We used the BBQ both nights (which had not been cleaned) and we ran out of propane on the second night but were able to secure another tank nearby that has some propane left in it so we were able to cook our dinner (just). The Tub overlooking the water is awesome but there were no candles provided and no robes for use by guests (disappointing). Lastly, if you want privacy, we recommend no staying in either of the two cabins as the properties beach access area is right in the front of the two cabins, so any other guests can look right into your cabin if they use this area (which we were not aware of before booking our stay. Overall the location of this property is fantastic and we would stay there again, just not in one of the cabins. We would like to try the Geodome and hope that the lodge management looks into putting more effort into the maintenance of the property and re-stocking units with various kitchen supplies if they continue to promote there kitchens as "fully stocked" , particularly if guests are paying top dollar to stay in the accommodations at this location. The views of the lake are second to none!

Chocolate shop
Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory is a renowned retailer known for its premium chocolates, confections, cocoa, and gift baskets. The brand has numerous chains across British Columbia. The Harrison Hot Springs location is particularly special as it was taken over by Mark Schweinbenz and his wife Julie Edwards to preserve the tradition after the passing of a friend. Visitors praise the friendly and passionate staff who provide excellent customer service.
A delicious chocolate shop. They don’t have ice cream cones at this branch, but they do have tasty chocolate popsicles. Highly recommended!

What a great shop! The best display I’ve seen at a Rocky Mountain shop. The staff were was friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a sweet tooth I would highly recommend going here and getting your sweet on!!
Ryan B — Google review
Very cute treats and gifts, all with a canadian theme! The selection isn't quite as large as the lower mainland or downtown vancouver locations, but this is fair and to be expected. Expect to pay a bit of a premium but no more than any other chocolate shops that create handcrafted high quality goodies. Plus, you're supporting a small and locally owned business/franchise owner and I gather its rather challenging to stay afloat in the winter months. The dipped ice cream bars are so tasty and the kids love them too. Out of all the places we have visited in Harrison, this is one of the places that my son still will reminisce about years later. When we go back, he asks us to go or if I visit with out him he asks for treats to be brought back. However, what really blew me away was the kind and genuine young lady working at the counter. She was such a sweetheart and so patient, and showed genuine empathy when we were chatting about some things. Very sweet and touching reaction. The owner (or manager?) Was also there for a few minutes and was equally friendly and chatty/helpful. Thank you for a lovely wrap up to the end of our trip 💕

What a great selection of tasty treats! The choices seemed to be endless. The prices are definitely for foreigners, visitors, and not the locals of Harrison. We tried several things and they were all very good, we didn't mind spending a bit more than expected. I would recommend you taste several chocolates.

Excellent customer service. The ladies working were very friendly and helpful. They didn't push us and gave us lots of time to decide. There are so many delicious options. I highly recommend the caramel apples, they can even cut them so they're a lot easier to eat. You can share the slices as well, if you want. 😉 You can find something for every chocolate lover. They are right on the main street and very easy to find. We will definitely be back.

I had no experience related to the hotel, but we had breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. The food was below average and took a long time to prepare. One of the staff members was very rude. I believe they were short-staffed. The food and services were poor for the high price.

Very nice, accommodating people running this hotel who go out of their way to make your stay as good as it can be. Very good licenced restaurant serving very good food at very reasonable prices. We're sold, and have found our "go to" place in Harrison. Highly recommended.

We recently had dinner here on a Wednesday there. I was skeptical because the place was empty. But the food was out fast, hot and really well made. Everything we ordered was on point. Though we ordered pretty simple food. The tequila sunrises we ordered were delicious. We will definitely be eating here again when we make our way back to this little town.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly towards my girlfriend and I, the food was amazing and the service was really fast despite of how busy it was. Our room was very well kept and warm, the king size bed was extremely comfortable and the view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful! High five to the staff, I'll definitely be staying here again.

I would not recommend coming here. The location is great and convenient however the rooms were not worth the price by any means. I would not recommend coming here with your family or children. The hassle of no hot water and having to go out of your way to ask for it is absolute nonsense. The closet was busted as well. However, this is not the main issue, the management is. The way they handle these issues is extremely immature. Acting like it’s the customers problem that they didn’t have the bare minimum of a room. They simply could care less and instead of giving us a 25% off discount as they mentioned, they gave us a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant next to them under the same management. An absolute joke. Please spend your money at a better place. Their goal is not to serve you and make your stay as enjoyable as possible, it’s to profit off you.

I am really not a picky person and I try to look for the good. The staff were all nice and helpful but seemed pretty disorganized. We got the the room and it looked old but good (pretty much what I expected). We went in the bathroom and it looked grungy (dead bugs on the walls and some small bugs flying around the sink, gross stains on the walls, up-splash on the toilet, a long black hair on the floor, and the tub wasn't in great shape. It was night time and I didn't want to bother the front desk so my wife and I just went to bed. The sheets kept coming off the matress and the bed didn't have a proper blanket (blanket was awkwardly put between two sheets). In the morning I let the front desk know about the bathroom situation and they said they would send the cleaners. We came back in the afternoon after the cleaners had come and literally nothing had changed... it was still gross. My wife wanted to do her hair before we went out. She tried to use her hair dryer in the bathroom but the outlet didn't work, so she tried to use it in the living room with my laptop as a mirror and we flipped a breaker, losing power to our entire suite. To top everything off we left an expensive shirt on the bed in our room by accident when we checked out and when we called the hotel to have them check for it they said it wasn't in the room and that if it turned up they would call us. We never heard back from them. The hotel is in a great location and we loved the town, but we will not be going back to this hotel.

We arrived a bit late due to a storm, immediately got stuck in the snow in the parking lot. Our room was not available because of some damage caused by the storm. But the manager got us checked into another room and gave us a good discount. First room was a bit run down and extremely cold, but lots of blankets and snuggles worked. Our next room was beautiful! Overlooking the lake, lots of room, a bit more modern. It definitely has an old lodge feel to it. But it's very quant and the staff was lovely. They helped us dig out our car the next day. You are on the same block as the hot springs and very near all of the restaurants and amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

While parking may be challenging during peak times, the scenic drive to reach this location makes it worth the effort.
We took our two teenage grandsons the other day, and they loved it! I was impressed with the safety measures and the well-staffed facility. We bought the package deal including the bumper boats and wetsuits, and it was well worth it. Will come again!

We visited Harrison Hot Springs and had an amazing time! The water sports were fantastic, especially the bumper board—it was so much fun, especially if you go with a group of two or more. The overall experience was definitely worth it. However, we were disappointed with the staff. They handed us the wrong swimsuit sizes, and it was difficult to locate a manager to address our concerns, as everyone wore similar uniforms. While the service could be improved, the activities themselves made the visit very enjoyable.

We rented a Pontoon boat for an hour and had a wonderful experience. It was $289 for the first hour plus fuel. They do a $1000 deposit for incidentals as well. We didnt have to wait and after signing the paperwork and briefing we were off on our way. The boat was clean, comfortable and very spacious. We were a party of 7 with 4 adults and 3 kids. Staff was amazing and super helpful.

We had an amazing day at the park, it’s so much fun! I definitely recommend bringing or renting a wetsuit and grip socks. They make the experience way more comfortable, since even though the weather was perfect, the water is still really cold, even in the middle of summer. The staff was super friendly and helpful the whole time, especially the girls at the bumper boats, they were so sweet and explained everything perfectly.

We visited Harrison lake waterpark on Monday — there weren’t too many people, and the staff were helpful with all our questions. We had a wonderful time both in the waterpark and on the bumper boats. P.S. I recommend bringing or renting wet suit and grip socks!

Best fun you'll have. It's not too extreme, but it's helpful to have some stamina and endurance. A slip of the hand, foot, or a loss of balance can propel you straight into the icy cold water. Don't fret. The water gear is adequate to keep you afloat and keep some of the freezing cold at bay.
Charm L — Google review
What an amazing time my boys and I had at your Waterpark ! We had so much fun that we did it both of the days we were there. What a workout! All of our arms were sore the next day, but is a great way. Would highly recommend spending your time at the park. Was the highlight of our trip!!
Amy G — Google review
It was quite entertaining and involved some upper body physical activity. After about an hour, it started to get a bit boring since there aren’t that many attractions to enjoy, but still - it wasn’t bad. We don’t have many activities around here, so at least it’s something. It’s quite pricey, though, and it would be great if the bumpers didn’t restrict swimming so much - the area where you’re actually allowed to swim is very limited.

Had the greatest time today with our guide Jeff Sayewich! Top notch trip from start to finish - excellent equipment and he was knowledgeable & personable which made for a wonderful day. That he put us on some monster sturgeon was the icing on top!

Our sturgeon fishing trip with Ted from BC SPORTS FISHING yesterday was absolutely incredible. Ted was the perfect guide for us—he was down-to-earth, polite, and super knowledgeable about the area and the fish. He gave us an unforgettable experience, not only in catching, but also in safely releasing two sturgeon. As an added bonus, he's a great guy who can even give you a few pointers on the golf course! It's not a question of if we'll come back, but when we do, we'll definitely be requesting Ted. Thanks for the amazing opportunity!

Amazing bucket list trip! Right from the initial questions and bookings our needs were well looked after. Ted our fishing guide knew the area well and educated us on conservation and techniques for fishing Sturgeon. He was relaxed in nature, but did everything needed to land fish and have a good time. He was great with my son and his friend and made it a trip to remember. Thanks gang!

Absolutely once in a lifetime Sturgeon adventure with BC Sportfishing group. Brant was an outstanding guide. One of the best I've ever had. Caught us fish, was extremely personable, and made each day fun and adventurous. He provided very good and clear instructions to help us be successful. Two amazing days. 8 Sturgeon to the boat, 1 double header, and two that were over 8 feet! BC Sportfishing group provided all amazing gear, good boats and awesome lunches. Would highly recommend booking with this company!

These tours provide an opportunity to witness the stunning wildlife and scenic views around Harrison Hot Springs. The company prioritizes safety and customer satisfaction, with friendly and informative staff like Molly who ensure a comfortable experience for visitors.
We booked a jet boat tour on a whim as it was a lovely sunny day. As it turned out we were the only guests and Frank was an amazing guide. He found us seals, Eagles, Ospreys, and gave us some great information about the rivers, local area, and first nations people. Worth every penny, don't hesitate to book this one!

Molly was an absolutely amazing guide on our Rainbow Falls tour today. She clearly went over all safety features and rules so we felt so safe. She was so professional and so friendly. We learned a lot about the area, enjoyed the amazing views from the boat, and then explored the Rainbow Falls and just couldn’t stop taking photos of all the views! What an amazing trip I would recommend to anyone visiting Harrison, in fact I planned my day trip around this adventure! Sooo worth the money and drive !!

We took the early afternoon cruise on Harrison Lake with our 20-month-old and had a wonderful time. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views all around. Captain Molly was fantastic—very helpful and knowledgeable. She shared fun facts about the area and the local fauna. It made the trip feel more than just a sightseeing cruise, fun learning as well. Highly recommend this experience for families, even with young children!

Exceeded our expectation. We came up to Harrison this past Labour Day weekend without any plans. Booked an excursion up the river with Harrison Eco Tour on a whim. Our guide Molly was knowledgeable about the area (she was a local) gave us history and didn’t miss a beat in any aspects of a tour guide. We had the most beautiful day to take this tour, which added to the experience. Thanks Molly!

Took the Harrison River jet boat tour. We got lucky and it was just my wife and I on the boat with our guide, Molly. Beautiful scenery, a good variety of wildlife. Guide was super friendly and informative, Molly being a lifelong local knew all of the info we could ask for- not just a scripted tour.

Honestly the best boat tour my partner and I have been on! We did the eagle tour and literally saw hundreds and hundreds of eagles it was incredible! We had to most amazing guide too, Molly, who gave us so many in depth answers to our questions and made the experience fantastic! Thank you! We will definitely be coming back again!

We went on the Harrison River jetboat tour and it was fantastic! Molly was our skipper - she's knowledgeable, experienced, and fun to be with! We saw seals, crystal clear water, petroglyphs, eagles and osprey! We highly recommend taking this beautiful 90min tour!

Killer's Cove Boat Rentals

Boat rental service
Killer's Cove Boat Rentals offers a leisurely way to explore the lake with kayak or canoe rentals. The rental process is smooth, and the staff is professional and attentive. While online booking may need improvement, the in-person service receives high praise. Customers appreciate the helpfulness of the staff, who are accommodating even when mistakes are made in bookings. It's recommended to allow extra time for renting kayaks due to potential busyness at certain times.
We went kayaking yesterday and had a great experience overall. We were having a lot of fun at first, but later the wind picked up and we ended up drifting quite far off our original course. We really started to struggle paddling back, as the wind was completely against us on the way back to the port. Eventually, someone from the shop came out by boat to rescue us, helped us out of the kayaks and onto the boat, and brought us back safely. We really appreciate how responsible and helpful the team was - it made us feel safe and well looked after. Huge thanks to Steve for the rescue!! It’s been a great pleasure to meet you. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area!
Kelvin L — Google review
We rented a boat on a Friday and walked to the rental center to set everything up. Despite several staff being nearby, some outside chatting and others inside, but no one offered to help us. We ended up using the QR code out front to reserve and pay for a 3:00 PM slot ourselves. We were staying across the street and arrived about 15 minutes early. There were no other guests ahead of us, just a couple trying to rent kayaks. When we checked in, the woman at the desk told us we were “late” and needed to be there an hour early, supposedly per the man we booked with, which was confusing because we made the reservation online and didn’t speak to anyone. She insisted the information was in our email, but we didn’t have service to check it. Despite there being no other renters at the time, she acted like helping us was an inconvenience. Another employee passed by, and when she asked if he could help us, he said, “Of course.” Thankfully, he got us oriented and on our way. During our experience, we were given conflicting instructions, one staff member told us not to stop the boat unless we were swimming and to keep the engine running, while another said we could dock and hike to Rainbow Falls. That left us confused. The lake itself was beautiful and we had a great time, but the lack of clear communication and customer service made for a frustrating start. Also, be aware that the rental price does not include fuel, you’ll be charged separately for whatever you use. This rental center has a lot of potential, but it needs some staff training and a more helpful attitude. If arriving an hour early is mandatory, it should be clearly stated at the top of the confirmation email in BOLD like the other important notes and it wouldn’t hurt for staff to acknowledge or assist walk-up guests instead of leaving them to guess the process. If you are on vacation or traveling you may not have access to email without returning to wifi. Helpful signage with bold notifications of arriving an hour early or just having the employees acknowledge people trying to book to deliver this in person would be helpful.
Shannon C — Google review
We rented a double kayak for an hour, and I think the price is fair—it was $67.20 CAD taxes included. For this activity, they require a $100 deposit (cash or credit), which they return once you finish. The lake does have a current, and in some areas it’s stronger. You need to be careful because you can drift far from the shore pretty quickly (it happened to us), and getting back can be challenging and even exhausting. Other than that, we recommend this place. Next time, we’ll try something different. The team and staff were clear, friendly, and helpful.
Daniel F — Google review
We wanted to go kayaking, and this was the only place open. Glad that they were able to help us out on a less busy weekday. We had a great time and they currently have a promo where you get an extra 30 minutes when you book an hour . The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.
D Y — Google review
Had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to rent kayaks. Not because of crowd but improper management. One lady is working with 3 customers simultaneously. There are no other staff to support. Come on 1.20 minutes to rent a kayak with 5 people in line.
Prasanna P — Google review
Beautiful ride! Falls was a nice stop in the middle! Staff is super nice and very helpful!

Great experience love the boats. Service in person was great. But online service needs to improve. Has to be easier to book a boat. Also need to work on cancellation fees a they charge u 50% if u wanna cancel 48hours in advance. Also $50 to make changes to reservation. But all in all was a pretty good experience. Thanks to Steve who was wonderful.
Sayaaz A — Google review
They were great, and accommodated our lateness by bumping our time up 15 min. He said he couldn't have if it was a motor boat or anything engine but we were renting canoes. I appreciate it because they didn't have to do that. I really like it when a company does that without me having to ask. Friendly and great canoes. Nice beaches to pull into.

Shoreline Tours offers a two-hour family-friendly getaway to the west side of Harrison Lake. The cruise passes by various scenic spots such as the mouth of the Harrison River, Echo Island, Fossil Bay, and Cascade Bay where visitors can take a walk to Rainbow Falls. The 62-foot cruise boat provides an open upper deck and an enclosed lower deck for comfortable wildlife viewing in any weather from February to November.
This is the second time we did a cruise with Shoreline (1st -one is the Waterfalls Cruise) and again they delivered. It was a great experience going down the Harrison river with the Autumn foliage in the mountain and eagles perched on the trees. The emerald green water was unreal teeming with salmon and we even saw a sturgeon. We felt very welcome by the crew and we learned a lot of stuff about the area we cruised on. Truly a memorable trip.

The scenery and history are beautiful and interesting and is the wonderful ability of the crew to share the story and details, very well communicated making it even more interesting. The food was delicious and generous. Service was wonderful! The tour included dreamy background music. A very thoughtful selection of some light jazz and blues. The boat was very clean and operated at just the right speed to enjoy the breathtaking views

Fantastic experience on the water! I was having a bad week but this tour absolutely brightened my weekend and my husband and I had a blast! The service was also brilliant and the water and caves was so cool to see and it was so educational! The server / tour guide, Alissa, did a fantastic job making us feel welcome and taken care of and we learned so much about Harrison lake and the neighborhood around that lake! It was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely be back for more cruises with them!

Wow, the full 10 hour lake excursion was absolutely incredible. The boat is lovely, the food and drinks were great. All the staff super attentive to everyone. The scenery is ridiculous, saw fresh water seals and sturgeon. The water was turquoise. Guarantee you Sasquatch was there as well, but didn’t have binoculars, which I recommend bringing. Definitely do it again .

Lakeside Cafe, situated on the second floor of Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa, offers a breakfast buffet starting at 7am until 11am during weekdays and until 12pm on weekends. Additionally, they serve dinner with a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the Copper Room. The dinner buffet is available Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The atmosphere is very nice and looks pretty and with a candle, Sebastian served us our food, he was very good and patient which I respect, gave us water refill without hesitation and he was smooth with it, and he delivered our food in 17 minutes and 50 seconds. They delivered rice instead of fries 😂 but he changed it so that's a plus. The wings I ordered were really good, as were the fries. Really good place and Sebastian deserves a raise!

Puffer is a great breakfast spot with plenty of food options to satisfy any craving. On clear days, you can enjoy stunning views of the lake, which adds to the charm. At $23, the pricing is fair considering the variety and the scenic atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit for a relaxing breakfast!

If you want a relaxing place for a meal, this is the place for you. We have breakfast buffet there on weekday. Don't expect good food. We come here just for the place. The view is good if you get the table near the balcony. The price is gone up a lot. Now the price for the breakfast buffet is $33. They had much better food years ago and reasonable price too. I think most the customers are getting the B&B package of the hotel. I think we may not come back again when we are visiting Harrison Hot Spring Resort.

We went on the first night they updated the menu. We were expecting salad bar and dessert buffet with a main course. But they just changed the menu. Overall food is not bad except steelhead should have mango salsa sauce but got missed. Waitress was not too familiar with the menu as that was just changed. I like the seafood chowder that chef used salmon belly so the meat is still very smooth with soup. Calamari is soso. Steak is done to what we requested which is awesome.

I truly enjoyed the food, and I was impressed by the kindness and hospitality of the staff. Considering it’s a three-star hotel, the quality of service exceeded my expectations. In my opinion, it definitely deserves a higher rating.

We were quiet impressed with our dinner at this place! I tried the Vegan power bowl and my husband got the Chicken tenders with fries. We both finished our whole plates and were so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it. I recommend this place 👍🏽

The breakfast buffet is pricey but worth it. Lots of great options, and very filling. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcomed.
TMAC — Google review
Restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff are truly exceptional & helpful. The breakfast buffet is $33 per person and there is no other options. They offer pastries & breads, waffles & bagels, Asian noodle soup, cereal, eggs, sliced potatoes, sausage & bacon, some sort of Mexican salsa & cheese. For breakfast and only eating some scrambled eggs, bacon & toast it is not worth the cost at all; after tip it’s $80 for 2 people. We will never return. If you are wanting to eat excessively this may be reasonable place for you to go. Wish they would have other options, this is not feasible.

Thermal baths
Harrison Hot Springs Source is a concrete and metal enclosure where the town's thermal waters originate. The spa offers stress-relieving treatments in a serene environment with soothing music and discreet services. Accessible only for a short period due to changing lake water levels, it features a cozy tub seating 4-6 people with a liner, soft sand, and mountain rock surroundings. Visitors can enjoy the hot water while taking caution not to get burned.
Natural hot spring beside the lake path 💗 worth the walk. Pools are still accessible.

Saw fences were here on the news, but it was returned to what it was within a week. I think it is the best solution, which balance between public safety and interest. There should not be hot spring water access without monitoring. I understand the asian style which allows people to bring food to cook or have a foot bath. I will be very happy to see this being discussed in the future.

Wonderful trip. This place has the absolute BEST poutine, must try!!
Tami M — Google review
Locals told us that the resort destroyed the place. In my opinion, there’s nothing particularly special about it. We weren’t sure if you’re allowed to put your feet in the water—there’s a sign saying “Caution: Don’t do it”, but locals claim it’s from the hotel. So, we honestly didn’t know who to believe.
Daniel F — Google review
I am so glad that I walked all the way to here, the water temperature is so much better than the public pool, it’s so much hotter, so be aware to burn yourself if you are trying to feel it. I would suggest to try from further side first and slowly move closer to the spice to test your temperature limit.

Not designed for public access, only for big business. The local government does not develop tourism, although the area has great potential.

Restaurant
Nestled within the enchanting Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa, The Copper Room is a delightful dining destination that transports you to an era of elegance and charm. This resort-based restaurant specializes in traditional fine dining paired with exquisite cocktails, all while offering live music that sets the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable evening. Open exclusively for dinner, it invites guests to indulge in a romantic night filled with dancing and delectable cuisine.
The copper room seems like a standard non denominational hotel steakhouse, but the food is solid for the relatively low price point, and our service was excellent. The live music is the real sell though and 'lakeside swing' was a joy. Mostly children tearing up the dance floor but we had fun strutting our stuff. I think arriving early meant more kids but also our food was very quick.

Great experience, super glad we stopped in even though we didn’t stay at the Harrison Hotel Springs Resort. I had the Roast Chicken which has crispy skin, and a side of creamy garlic mash. The mushroom gravy was so tasty! My husband had the Salmon which was cooked perfect. The ambience was so fun, with the band adding a great vibe encouraging people to dance and just have a good time. The chocolate martinis were exceptional, also. It’s a little more expensive than the other restaurants on the strip, but totally worth it! Our server Jessica, was very attentive. Will be back!

If you are in this area, this is the restaurant you should not miss. The food is great, great atmosphere, great music and great services. We love the oldies songs. The place has no change since they were not open everyday last few years. We are happy they are open 7 days a week now. If you want to dance, I think the weekends are better. They have swing bands on weekends. The food is great with good price too. You can only come for the food not the oldies.

My wife and I tried the copper room for the first time. They do have a relaxed dress code, so guys, make sure you are in a collared shirt and no sweat pants. I was fine in a golf shirt and lululemon pants. The atmosphere was awesome. Live music started at 18:30. The band eas really good and played a blend of different music. Our server was Kelly and she was awesome. She had a great sense of humour and was knowledgeable on the menu. Everyone was very attentive. I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. Dinner came with a basket of rolls that were fresh and not dry. We were disappointed that they have taken the lamb dish and 2 person share plate off the menu as we have read good things. I ordered the three course meal and chose starberry pecan salad, NY Steak and cheese cake. My wife ordered a ceaser salad and cannaloni pasta. The wife had a mint Juliet which was strong for her but refreshing. When she mentioned this, Kelly without being asked, immediately brought her some soda to water it down a bit. The salads were really good with fresh ingredients. Both had the perfect amount of dressing on them. The palate cleanser was raspberry sorbet and it was a nice touch and tasty in its own right. My steak was medium rare and perfectly cooked with peppercorn sauce. The outside had a chargrill to it, so they must have cooked it on a flame. Was very tasty. The cannaloni was very nice and the pasta was cooked perfectly (al dente). Desserts were very nice. Cheesecake was perfect density and had strawberry purée. Chocolate lava cake with ice cream scoop was moist and rich. Overall, really enjoyed our meal here and will be back.

I recently visited the copper room with my husband while we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. It was a nice restaurant, I had a good experience. My husband and I both ordered the steak, it tasteful but nothing to write home about. We also had the appetizer beef carpaccio and the butter garlic shrimp and they were delicious! The live band was also a nice addition to the experience! Not sure I would go back but I would recommend it to a family/friend who have never been there before !

I celebrated my birthday at the end of May at The Copper Room with my fiancée, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was prepared perfectly and full of flavor. A special shoutout to our server Kelly, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel so special. Also, big thanks to Jessica and Nikki—you all did an amazing job and your positive energy really stood out. We were pleasantly surprised by the live music band, which added such a lovely and romantic touch to the evening. It made the celebration even more magical. This was honestly my best birthday ever, and we’re so grateful to all the staff for making it so special. We’ll definitely be recommending The Copper Room to our friends and family. Thank you again!

The Copper Room at Harrison Hot Springs Resort exudes sophistication and elegance with its stunning decor. The live music added a lovely touch of charm. While the food was good, the prices were a bit steep. The customer service was decent, but didn't quite meet expectations.

I’ll start off by saying that I went there for my one year wedding anniversary. We looked forward to going but I was weary of reviews i saw on it. So I went with an open mind. The service was alright, but it’s not the waitress’s or waiter’s fault. They seem short staffed for the amount of tables they have. They were going at a million kilometres an hour the whole time we were there trying to keep up with their tables. So expect it to take between 15-30 minutes to get your cocktails and drinks. We had the garlic butter prawns and the carpaccio as appetizers, the garlic butter prawns tasted frozen but were ok. The carpaccio was good but they only give you 2 small pieces of bread. My wife and myself both had the New York striploin and while my wife’s was cooked to medium rare, mine was almost completely raw on the inside, there is no char on the steaks, there very soft and almost shreddable. The atmosphere was good, the live band was amazing and it’s fun to see a dance floor there, the inside is pretty dated but it’s as expected since the majority of the regular customers are older folks. Overall: - overpriced food and drinks - dated look - fun with the live band and dance floor - would most likely not recommend to friends and family and would not go again.

This was a very fun visit. Harrison is a tourist town, by all means, but it is full of great things. The beach is wonderful, and so are the menus of the restaurants by the beach. From quick lunches to full course dinners, it looks like there's something for all taste buds. We were only here for one afternoon, but there's so many things to do, we are wanting to come back for a longer visit.

Whippoorwill Point is a thrilling trail that starts from the path around Harrison Lake. It offers a moderate challenge as hikers climb up the mountain, navigating through slippery leaves and exposed tree trunks. It's advised to avoid carrying hot beverages while on this hike for safety reasons.
It was disappointing to see the "real hotspring". Nice view of the lake though

If you find yourself in Harrison, make sure to stop by Ocean Sushi, a delightful little eatery just a stone's throw from the lake. This cozy spot offers an impressive variety of dishes that cater to all tastes. From fresh salmon and avocado rolls to savory beef donburi, every bite is a treat. Families will love the Party Tray A and delicious udon noodles, while kids rave about the sushi options!
This restaurant is really good. Food was excellent. Rolls were fresh and fuller than your average city roll. Good menu selections.

So most places throughout Harrison seem to not want or care about your business and are happy to send you a way. We came here close to closing and at first he was like oh our kitchen closed, but then quickly was like don't worry about it, have a seat we will figure it out. So it was really nice to see they actually wanted business and treated customers very fairly. The sushi was good especially for the area and the service was GREAT.

Found this hidden gem in Harrison! Convenient location as it’s just steps away from the lake. The restaurant is cozy. My friend and I ordered a beef donburi and a salmon and avocado roll. It comes with a good portion of salmon and avocado while the salmon is fresh. The beef donburi is also tasty and perfectly cooked. There are plenty of options for food. They even got alcohol and ice cream. The server is really friendly and she told us where my friend and I can go the rest of the days while we are here. Best sushi restaurant in Harrison! Will definitely visit again!

Our two sons age 9 and 12 are obsessed with their sushi! My husband and I too! We ordered the Party Tray A, udon noodles, and miso soup. Everything was delicious! The salmon rolls and dynamite rolls were the best we’ve had. If we were staying longer in town we would eat here everyday. Highly recommended the food and the great service!

Best place I’ve been to for sushi!! Couldn’t decide which rolls to try… Spider and Washington rolls were mouth watering! Along with the Maki and of course California rolls. Small place, and it’s always busy, arrive early or order take out early. Worth the wait! Well done Ocean Sushi, well done!!

Amazing service as they were friendly and kind. The food was very good as well but a bit pricy. I thought the miso soup was delicious and I also liked the chicken teriyaki. The chicken was good unlike the chicken from Harrison Hamburgers. I recommend Ocean Sushi as it is a way better option than Harrison Hamburgers.

One reviewer expressed their delight in the restaurant, mentioning that they saw a positive atmosphere and energy. They enjoyed the crispy fries, poutine, onion rings, and a triple-decker burger. The service provided by the staff was described as excellent and enjoyable. The reviewer also mentioned that this experience added to their positive perception of Harrison and its businesses. Upon entering the restaurant, it felt welcoming, similar to walking into a friend's house. The owner made all guests feel comfortable upon arrival.
Really nice burger! The patty was juicy, the toppings were fresh, and the real standout was their house sauce—tasty, flavorful, and totally unique. It pulled everything together perfectly and gave the burger a memorable kick. Service was quick and super friendly, which made the experience even better. The place is spotless really clean and tidy, with a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend if you’re craving a burger that goes beyond the ordinary!

🍳🍔 Basecamp Burger Joint – Harrison Hot Springs This place is perfect for both breakfast and burgers! We tried both, and they were absolutely delicious. The burgers were fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, with crispy seasoned fries on the side 😋. Breakfast was also so tasty, made with fresh ingredients and served beautifully. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly, service was quick, and the staff were super kind. Sitting outside with the lake view makes the whole experience even more enjoyable ✨. If you’re in Harrison Hot Springs, don’t miss this spot whether it’s for a great start to your day with breakfast or a tasty burger later on! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered the Base Camp Burger Deluxe and the Mushroom & Swiss. Burgers were fine, fries were good, and the chicken fingers were tasty — though the portion was pretty small. The beer was disappointing, and the selection definitely needs improvement. Another thing to note: I paid more for my kid’s juice than for my own beer — almost $5 for a small juice feels unreasonable, especially since kids spill drinks all the time. On the plus side, the location is nice. With a few adjustments (better beer options, fairer pricing for kids’ drinks, and slightly bigger portions), this place could be much better.

Went here for dinner and everything was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food tasted great and was perfectly cooked. The fish and chips were excellent but my favorite was the deluxe burger with a side of onion rings. They were amazing and I’ll definitely be back for more!
Fredrick Z — Google review
Got played for a fool here, which is disappointing because the burgers are actually quite delicious and the staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was accommodating. The problem was the absolute fleecing I experienced. I get that they need to make their margins, profit is not a dirty word, but I don't like getting absolutely bent over during a purchase. So, just as a disclaimer, I drink Mug root beer all the time, it's my favorite root beer and it's what this establishment offers - in a can. That by itself isn't a problem. The problem is, they charge $3.90 for a can of root beer that I regularly pay no more than. $0.67 per can. I get that they need to mark things up, but 585% is a bit much for me and no matter what else you've done right, I just got severely ripped off for a simple can of cola and you don't get a good review. Maybe I'm more adverse to being bullied than others and their markups won't bother you but for me it soured the entire meal.
SteelioNow — Google review
The food at Basecamp Burger Joint was absolutely delicious! Their fish and chips are finger-licking good—crispy, flavorful, and simply spectacular, especially paired with their amazing tartar sauce. I also tried the truffle fries and they were so tasty that I couldn’t get enough. On top of the great food, the place has a beautiful view of the lake, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I truly loved it and would definitely recommend it!

Maison D' la, Poutine House.

4.3

Fast food restaurant
Pizza delivery
Maison D' la, Poutine House offers a wide variety of toppings for their fries, with generous portions and speedy delivery even during busy times. Though not the healthiest option, their cheese and gravies are incredibly tasty. The owners are friendly and personable, providing complimentary poutine to customers on chilly days. The poutine itself is delicious, featuring homemade gravy with savory seasoning.
We're Montrealers and this place is super authentic, and really good - like Chez Claudette level good (IYKYK). I got a Michigan Dog - the only one I've seen in BC, and the sauce seemed homemade, and hit every note. We also got a poutine, and yes like everywhere in BC, it's hard to get curds with a squeak - but beyond that, the sauce was right and they had actual Quebec-style fries. I saw someone else in the reviews complaining about the fries - that's a very BC complaint - Quebec fries are different, and they nailed it. Will definitely stop by next time we're in Harrison.
Robert J — Google review
I used to love their poutine. I specifically drive to Harrison just to have their poutine. Unfortunately, their quality degraded a lot. The base fries were 0/10. My 18 dollars went into vein for a classic poutine. Very disappointing.

Today was my last day of vacation, and I just had a fantastic experience today. the service was absolutely perfect, and I ordered one beef corndog and it was so gorgeous and it tasted like grill. And the sits were clean. And also, he just gave us a lot of ketchup, so I had a full dinner. Thank you for give us the fantastic last day of vacation.

Overall ok. I paid 15$ each (58$ total) for 3 small classic poutines and 3 cans of Coke. The poutine was half full in the container and it was soaked in gravy which just became a soup. It did taste good mind you but for 15$ you think you would get a better amount of fries. Location is great! Right beside the lake.

Adam J — Google review
This place has lots of choices ! Cute little atmosphere and the customer service was alright. We ordered 3 poutines. 1 pulled pork, one butter chicken, and one crispy chicken. The pulled pork one I thought was great ! Very delicious, and a lot of sauce. The other two made both of my friends sick unfortunately. It could have been the chicken since the pulled pork didn’t have that. The butter chicken poutine tasted nothing like butter chicken. One of the worst butter chicken flavoured things we have ever tried unfortunately. It’s hard to describe what the taste really is. Aswell the crispy chicken ( which was pretty much chicken tenders cut up) was both the same in the crispy chicken poutine and the butter chicken. We wished that the butter chicken had a different variety in what type of chicken was put into it. I was able to finish my pulled pork but due to how ill the other two poutines made my friends feel there was no way they were able to finish them. Overall the portion sizes are huge, and I would say the prices are reasonably priced. I would definitely give them another shot if I ever head back this way again since I really enjoyed my pulled pork dish

Nestled along Lillooet Rd., Yukiya Sushi is a charming spot that’s conveniently located within walking distance from local hotels and the Esplanade. This family-friendly restaurant has successfully adapted to social distancing measures, allowing diners to enjoy their meals comfortably while maintaining safety protocols. The generous portion sizes are a highlight, ensuring that you leave satisfied—many guests find themselves finishing every last bite!
There is this quaint place along Lillooet Rd. that is walking distance from our hotel and from the Esplanade. We were a family of 5 and even with social distancing in place, we were able to sit comfortably and safely from other diners. I agree with other reviews that the serving is huge so come in hungry 😁 We thought we could have some left-over but we finished every morsel off our plate. Thank you for observing social distancing in your restaurant and for wearing mask at all times. We highly recommend this sushi place 😘

Dropped by on a girls trip to Harrison for a couple days. Was amazing 👏 Did not have to wait long for food and was not very busy because its not on the main strip. Don't miss this gem ✨️ We had assorted tempura, agadashi tofu, boneless chicken, unagi rolls, gyoza and the hot spring roll 😋 Very friendly waitress too!

We have walked by Yukiya Sushi many times over the past few of years when staying at the Harrison Hot Spring Resort, but we never went in as we kept to our tradition of dining at the Lakeside Cafe, the Copper Room and the Blackforest. On this trip, we maintained our tradition, but thought we should expand our dining experience by trying Yukiya Sushi. We ordered the Boiled Spinach, the All Day "Sushi" Box, and the Yukiya Special Bibimbap. The quality was outstanding, and the portions were quite large. The service was friendly and prompt. Over-all, it was a very enjoyable dining experience at Yukiya Sushi. Highly recommended.
Bera C — Google review
It's in a tourist town, first of all. It has decent quality of food for a reasonable "touristy" price. For us it was about $25 per person and the taste wasn't matching that price. If this restaurant was in the city, I'd give it 2 stars. But being where it is, I think it's reasonable, even exceeds my expectations before walking in.
Bradley W — Google review
First hand the atmosphere of this place is quite nice and the servers are very friendly and hospitable. Can't really expect less for a Japanese / Korean restaurant. My family ordered a variety of different dishes with some that are worth the price, and some, not so much. I myself ordered the Bibimbap, and although it tasted very good this is the first time I've had it outside of a heated stone bowl. To me, the stone bowl is almost part of the experience as it was almost cool to touch at the time it was served. They only served ramen in a spicy broth and unfortunately I did go to this place to taste the ramen but I don't mix well with spicy. They do offer vegetarian ramen in which my wife ordered - but surprisingly it was almost too spicy for my wife who loves spicy food. The only other downside I noticed was that the tonkatsu was just a little too dense and was drenched in too much sauce. Other than those negatives the food portions were generous, generally tasted good, and was presented well. I do admit some of the sushi just seemed overpriced and maybe this is a little biased as I know places in metro Vancouver that taste better for lesser. However this a tourist place and the only Japanese / Korean place here so we can somehow justify that. Overall food was great but not special and the service was really great. I would recommend if you're craving for Japanese / Korean while you're vacationing or visiting Harrison.
Matthew C — Google review
We decided to have sushi while in Harrison. This place is good and prices are fair. Miso soup was good. Prawn tempura tasted fresh. Rice on sushi was a little bit harder than normal. And the chicken ramen I would not order again because I thought it was authentic ramen but it looked and tasted like Korean instant noodle with marinated chicken on top. Overall a great place for sushi.
Mikel N — Google review
Excellent food and service. Better quality sushi than the other Japanese restaurant nearby. Sushi was fresher and doesn’t break apart. We visited twice on our recent trip and ordered an assortment of dishes.

Additionally, the friendly staff at the center are knowledgeable about the surrounding places and offer great recommendations for exploring Harrison Hot Springs.
What a fun and friendly stop! If you're in the area, it is worth a visit. I was surprised that there wasn't even a small fee for this as I would have paid. Even got a free sticker and postcard. Great selection of sasquatch souvenirs, and I definitely learned a thing or two.

Nice little place, you get to understand better that the Sasquatch is an indigenous legend and belief that was later maybe misunderstood by colonizer. Recommended with kids and curious adults! it costs nothing and gives you a different feeling about the mountains around there, the forests and all.

A small but fun and informative museum. I really enjoyed that there was a quiet space to view the videos they were continuously playing of native stories and dance. Easy walking distance from the harrison hot spring resort.

What a special place to stop. Very easy to justify stopping off on the way to the beach or camping. This small museum will only take a little of your time and is well worth it. Browse through catalogues of sasquatch sightings. Check out the casks, and the video made by local Salish people. Hear the story before you head to the woods and experience true sasquatch territory! Don't forget to make a donation on your way out. There is a drop box that's easy to miss.

Getting out of the heat into this air conditioned oasis was a surprise highlight of our afternoon. There was a beautifully produced video offering the perspective of the Sts'ailes people who have traditionally stewarded this land and there were interesting artefacts offering stories and explanations for the area's infamous association with Sasquatch. The local staff member we spoke with offered very helpful intel about the nicest places to swim in Harrison Lake. (Hint: best to avoid the lagoon!)

Hiking Trails
Spirit Trail is a serene and accessible hike through a cedar forest near the Village of Harrison Hot Springs. The trail is adorned with beautiful masks created by a local artist, adding an enchanting and mystical element to the walk. Visitors can also explore other nearby trails like Sandy Cove Trail for a peaceful lakeside stroll or Bear Mountain Trail for more challenging panoramic views of Harrison Valley.
Very fun trail with all clay masks. Easy hike only takes 30 mins to finish. Leading to Bridle Trail for longer walk. Lost counts of how many clay masks 🎭 cuz too many
Snoopy K — Google review
Nice quick 1 km loop throughout the woods , beautiful trees, outhouse, easy 40+ masks “Spirit Trail Masks The clay masks you see on this trail were created by a local artist who started walking in these woods with his dog in 2007. A chance encounter with a fellow walker, who remarked that the woods seemed enchanted and that the trees had individual personalities, sparked an idea. Soon, masks as individual as the trees began to appear. Over time, the artist added more and more masks along the trail. These masks enhance the trail's already-present spiritual feel. Look for a circle of trees with masks to find the ideal spot for quiet contemplation.”
Gr8t O — Google review
An easy trail, the masks are intriguing, some seem like natural additions but many are garish and add little to the sense of natural spiritualism. It could be a great scavenger hunt .for children. However... we visited on an April morning and saw a black bear and her cubs, so the bear area is a series sign here.

A wonderful trail to walk and enjoy with my boyfriend and family. I love counting all the different clay masks on the trees. There are picnic tables and out houses. Sings around telling you about the trail and its history, and some of the different plants you’ll see along the trail. Just walking the short part of the trail, not the whole loop, we counted 33 different faces on trees.
Emily F — Google review
Says it's an easy trail, which it is mostly flat, but there's roots everywhere. Not stroller friendly. There's also a larger loop trail at the halfway point. Not recommended for bicycles, wheelchairs, or strollers. The masks are not scary. Excellent birdwatching...

Short hike through a beautiful forest with very cool clay masks throughout
Kevin C — Google review
We had a fantastic walk on the spirit trail. There are a few options to take when I’m here (a couple of different loops). The Spirit Trail is an easy walk and is about a .6 mile / 1 kms loop. We only saw 2 others on this trail and they warned us about to cub bears they saw on another loop. We did not see any other animals but lots of beautiful mask carvings nailed to the trees! This walk would be good for all ages!
Sheri L — Google review
It's a fun walk looking for masks in the beautiful forest. Watch for tree roots while you are walking on the trail.

Golf course
Nestled just a short five-minute drive from the historic resort, Harrison Golf offers an enchanting yet challenging experience for golf enthusiasts. This hidden gem in British Columbia is often regarded as one of the best-kept secrets in the golfing world. Located only 90 minutes east of Vancouver, it serves as an ideal destination for both day trips and overnight getaways. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, Harrison Golf warmly welcomes players of all skill levels to enjoy its picturesque course and stunning surroundings.
The views on this course are unreal! Something out of a magazine! The friendliest fellow golfers really make you feel at home here. This was our first visit, and we will be returning! The atmosphere here was so fun! The sweet gentleman working the desk provided the best hospitality and was a wealth of knowledge! Cannot believe this course is celebrating its 100th year this year. It's well taken care of and the cart we had definitely had personality. Dice off the rearview and love notes on the roof. The bunkers are a little rocky just for caution or chipping your clubs. Highly recommend, came for a place to spend the morning and left with some amazing memories! What a fun group of golfers!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My girlfriend and I are on a road trip from Denmark and stopped by Harrison Golf to play. We were greeted by the friendliest man named Rocky, who helped us so much and made us feel very welcome. The other golfers were also kind and encouraging, even though we’re not very good players. Great experience overall — all positive reviews from us!

On a a first time visit to Fraser Valley I discovered a little Gem of a Golf Course.A real test for the average golfer with greens that are fast and true.Friendly Members and a very professional Assistant in Rocky who made us very welcome. i've never had such a horrible experience with a golf course employee. the blonde older lady in the pro shop was so excessively rude and short. As avid golfers, we were excited to try this course which is closer to our home however will be driving the extra 20 minutes to stick with sandpiper moving forward.

Sushi restaurant
Nestled along Harrison Hot Spring Road, Sushi Kitami Japanese Restaurant is a delightful gem that brings authentic Japanese cuisine to the heart of the area. Owned by native Japanese chefs, this cozy eatery offers an inviting ambiance perfect for enjoying fresh sushi. Whether you choose to dine in or opt for takeout like I did during my recent visit, you're in for a treat!
Reviews really doesn't give an accurate rating for the quality of food served nor service. We stayed in the area and was expecting tourist style food. But Kitami sushi completely took us off guard with their freshly made sushi. Sashimi was very fresh and cut to perfection. The Nigris is where the chefs skills shine. wow. Two thumbs up for the skills and taste. Rolls aren't my favorites as I've tried so many but def good. if you want to be amazed, order the nigri and sashimi. you won't regret. We came late at night around 8pm and the lady was very delightful. took our take out order and was efficient. I can't believe this place is only 3.6 star Google review. I read the bad reviews and most of them were because people didn't want to follow covid protocols to wear a mask?????? Common really ? I just want to thank the owners for this very amazingly authentic quality japanese food. Truly a gem in the Harrison.... even in the Vancouver area to be tried. We will be back for sure 100%
Sam W — Google review
Not sure why the low rating but probably the 'gwailos' who don't understand Japanese dining. The food was surprisingly very good and better than some Vancouver restaurants I've been to. Restaurant was very clean and the service is great. The nice old lady was not rude at all like what some reviews mentioned, I mean if you aren't wearing your mask and you don't want to follow protocols during covid then get out of their restaurant. Old lady server was super nice and sweet. I highly recommend you try first before you judge the place. Legit japanese dining.

We had a nice dinner. The food was fresh and tasty. The restaurant is very clean. It appears that they are following the COVID protocol. We come to Harrison several times a year and we wanted more choices, glad we picked Kitami. Just a 5 minute walk from the resort.

I was blown away by the food. We were served by a very nice lady who was just so nice. The service was fast. The food was fresh, the gyoza was felt homemade, the prawn tempura was the best I've had, the sushi was delightful. A true gem of Harrison.
Thomas K — Google review
Sashimi was fresh and Ebi Sunomono was nothing I've had before. The entrance was dark and cluttered but we dined at the patio. The nice scenery was such a different experience than the inside. The service was great.

Update: 4 days after our first visit, we decided to return before heading back to the city. This time we both of for their Gozen Box special. Tiger prawn and vegetable tempura, Teriyaki Chicken on Rice, 8pcs California Roll, Salad and Miso Soup..all for $20 - everything was delicious. I hope the locals know what they have here! Original review: The price point is a bit higher but definitely a real gem here in Harrison Hot Springs. The sashimi is really fresh and the rolls are very tasty. Chef takes care of his product and the everything is high quality. Very comparable to if not better than places in Vancouver. Thank you to chef and staff at Kitami for a wonderful meal.
Jeremy W — Google review
The place is run by a Japanese couple. They are extremely nice and efficient. Very good food. We have an assorted sushi and a don set. Great seafood and sizeable portion. Excellent experience.
Cecilia H — Google review
We had a very authentic, delicious, fresh meal. Everything was very tasty, miso soup was hearty, sashimi was fresh and good quality. Coming from Vancouver we were pleasantly surprised at the good quality and flavor, we will definitely be back next time we're at Harrison. The couple that runs this place are friendly and polite.

Taco Rio is a Mexican restaurant located in Harrison Hot Springs, offering a fresh and traditional menu with a West Coast influence. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, local ingredients to create imaginative and globally inspired dishes. Customers rave about the delicious food, with favorites like the spicy crispy chicken burrito and the Carne Asada tacos. The generous portion sizes make sharing an option, especially with the huge Quesadilla.
Taco Rio in Harrison Hot Springs serves up delicious burritos! I ordered takeout, and the flavors were spot on—fresh ingredients, great seasoning, and a satisfying portion size. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving Mexican food in the area. I’ll be back for more!

Taco Rio is a fantastic spot, conveniently located just 4 minutes from Harrison Hot Springs Resort. The decor is on point, with a lovely outdoor patio and spacious indoor seating area that's well-decorated. But what really stood out was the excellent customer service - the staff were knowledgeable and offered great suggestions and recommendations. I enjoyed trying the green chicken enchiladas and quesabirria tacos, both of which were delicious and full of flavor. The enchiladas came with generous portions of rice, beans, sauce, and salsa, with a nice citrusy twist. The quesabirria was packed with flavor and was a highlight of my meal. With a wide variety of drinks and food options, Taco Rio is definitely worth a visit when you're in the area. I'll be sure to stop by again next time I'm at Harrison - highly recommended

Such a nice restaurant- we ordered a tempura bean burrito, chicken tacos and mango mock tail. The burrito and drink was great! Chicken tacos had fried chicken (expected grilled) but overall great place, nice vibe and Jessica was amazing! :)

We are from Mexico but living in Vancouver and they have one of the best birria tacos we’ve tried in BC for sure. Cochinita and beef tacos are also amazing, definitely a must try

Stopped in for dinner here with my husband and two teenaged sons. The boys eat a lot and this place delivered! Absolutely delicious nachos and we all shared the the 2-3 person share plate with corn tortillas and crispy chicken. Topped it off with a super yummy raspberry margarita (for me). Service was fantastic too. A great experience all around! We’ll be back for sure!
