Arenas & Stadiums
Centre Bell, formerly known as the Molson Centre, is a 21,000-seat sports and entertainment complex in Montreal. It is the largest stadium in Eastern Canada and hosts a variety of events including concerts, Cirque du Soleil performances, and NHL games featuring the Montreal Canadiens. The venue has welcomed international music acts like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, and KISS.
During our vacation in Montreal, we happened to stumble upon Centre Bell, and it turned out to be a highlight of our trip. Although I’m not a huge hockey fan, I gained a deeper appreciation for how significant the sport is to the city. Even from the outside, the arena is impressive, adorned with numerous plaques and statues that honor the players and the rich history of hockey in Montreal. The atmosphere around Centre Bell was vibrant, showcasing the pride the city has in its legendary team. I hope to return during hockey season to experience a game live. I can only imagine the excitement and camaraderie as fans come together to support their team in a place that truly celebrates their sport. Centre Bell is definitely worth a visit, whether you’re a hockey enthusiast or just curious about Montreal’s sporting culture!

The atmosphere was electric with excellent sound quality that really made the performance stand out. Staff were friendly and well-organized, from security at the entrance to the bartenders and ushers inside. The lines moved quickly, and everything felt safe and efficient without losing the fun vibe. Had an amazing experience seeing $uicideboy$ last week. Would come back for future events!

Went to our very 1st Habs game all the way from Northern Alberta tonight and what an amazing time we had! Lower row seats with a perfect view of the ice. We won the home opener game it was so exciting!! What an awesome environment to be in!! Highly recommended if you are in Montreal! But one down side is, cheddar cheese onion popcorn...omg that smells absolutely disgusting...should definitely not be on the menu lol that is an at home snack.

Great experience coming over from NY, Montreal has always been my favorite hockey team and a trip to the Bell Centre was a bucket list item. It did not disappoint at all, very electric atmosphere inside, fans are very passionate and supportive. I wish the team store had larger sized jerseys such as 3xl and 4xl with older players names available and maybe some bobbleheads for sale but otherwise it was nice. For the second game of a new season I expected pristine amenities and I was surprised to find the seats torn up a bit, but we enjoyed the nice padding they had. Great time overall.
James M — Google review
Best atmosphere in the NHL! The Canadiens aren’t even my team but they have the arena and fans we all wish for. Nice facility. Not the most helpful staff and virtually no signage make things confusing but we survived.
Keith C — Google review
Came to the hallowed halls of the Centre Bell/Bell Center for the 2025-2026 Canadiens season home opener against the Kraken. Wow - what a place, what a crowd of fans, what a place with so much hockey and tradition! This is one of the must-visit NHL arenas for any hockey fan, and it was nothing short of amazing. The team also did a tribute for their legendary goalie Ken Dryden #29, who sadly passed away during 2025. The Tricolore fan goods shop is located on the second floor, but it is not accessible from the street. Amazing, wonderful place to watch hockey and cannot wait to make a return trip. Highly recommended!

The Centre Bell is an excellent venue for concerts. We had access to the Hartland Salon where excellent food and drinks were complementary. It's fantastic for a memorable experience.

The Montreal Convention Centre, also known as the Palais de Congres, may not be a typical tourist attraction, but it's definitely worth a visit. Love this place, Especially during conventions like Otakuthon, because of how big it is, very pretty and clean too, easy to get there by Metro, close to many others place, but wish there was more air conditionner during a conventions in summer, i end up so sweaty and dizzy due of the amount of people and it get so hot

Big, beautiful. Went to a Sample Guy's Sale for winter jackets, got 2 Mooseknuckle Jackets and after taxes still saved approx $600 compared to if I had bought 1 jacket in store or online! Conveniently located right next to the metro station, and there's a hall downstairs where you can grab a coffee or a snack. Colorful, always something going on, right by China town and Old Port.. def a cool spot to check out

This is a convention center in downtown Montreal, next to Westin and Intercontinental hotels. However, it is accessible by Metro train. So, if you are attending a conference here on a budget, it makes sense to stay a bit farther and commute via the metro rail.

Club Soda

4.5
(3015)
Live music venue
Club Soda is a long-standing entertainment venue in Montreal, offering live performances ranging from hip-hop to jazz to comedy in an intimate setting. It has been a pivotal part of Quebec's entertainment scene for 35 years and provides a platform for young musicians and artists to establish themselves. The venue is multifunctional, accommodating various events from Christmas celebrations to international artist showcases. Originally located in the Mile End neighborhood, it moved downtown in 2000 to a modern space with a capacity of 900.
I recently checked out Club Soda, a comedy club that's part of the Just for Laughs festival. The tables were set up well & the staff kept the place clean, which is a definite plus. If you're looking for a good spot, get there early - it's first-come, first-served. The comedians were very professional & delivered solid sets. I appreciated that they didn't shy away from edgy material, but still managed to keep it awkward. The crowd was mature & knew when to laugh & when to keep quiet, which made for a good show. Overall, Club Soda is a solid spot for comedy. The comedians & staff do their jobs well, & the crowd's generally receptive. It's not super flashy, but it gets the job done. If you're a fan of stand-up & want a good laugh, it's worth checking out. Just don't expect anything too out of the ordinary, it's a tried & true comedy club format. I'd go back, & I'd recommend it to others. The comedians were funny & the atmosphere was great. Not bad for a night out in Montreal. If you're in the area & looking for some laughs, Club Soda's a decent choice.

Great place for live music, 2nd floor has sitting space (limited capacity though) and lower floor for standing concert expectations, bar is available on both stages with fair prices, parking is not available for the club, still there are private parking lots available near by, municipal payment parking and public transportation easy access, stay tuned to their concert schedule and go for the one you would like! I went to The Doors tribute band and for The Beatles, both bands did outstanding performance.
Max M — Google review
Contacted the venue ahead of time to inquire about seating as I had never been there before and I wasn't sure if there was seats always available. They accommodated me and made sure I had a place to sit. Sound was great, seemed like there was enough servers to keep lines from growing and security was good. Looking forward to the next show!

Really sweet spot for shows. Midsized venue (to me) and getting in and out was fairly simple when needed. Hey! Did I ever tell you about the time my buddy snuck in twenty cans of beer when there was a Black Sabbath tribute show? I will...
Chris B — Google review
I personally really like this event bar. It’s not too small which is really good but it can feel cramped when there’s a huge volume of people. There’s even a balcony where you can sit back and watch the show. The drink I had was fresh and the staff were friendly!

Went there for a show (the darkness) the venue was really comfortable and easy to get in and out. Security team was pleasant and the sound system was spot on.

The Théâtre St-Denis, established in 1916, is a versatile venue that hosts a variety of performances including concerts, plays, and stand-up comedy. It is part of the Espace St-Denis complex, which also features a French Brasserie-style restaurant, a studio-cabaret with immersive technology, a piano-bar-terrace, and an ice cream parlor. Additionally, plans to incorporate a cinema with mixed reality experiences are underway.
charming venue! We went for a comedy show — the atmosphere was super cozy and intimate, which made the experience even better. Just a heads-up: make sure to arrive early if you want a seat! We showed up 15 minutes before the show and barely managed to grab the last spots. If it’s a dance event, standing is no big deal, but for a two-hour show, it can get a little long — especially when everyone's paying the same ticket price. Still, a great spot overall !
Alex O — Google review
Great ABBA spectacle. First we were guided to our reserved table. Great service. The food was good but not very explicit. Great musician introduced some ABBA songs. After our dinner the music and dancing started and it was great. The dancers performed incredible good and the singers were so good. We really enjoyed this happening
Ronald V — Google review
For an older theatre, it’s impressively well maintained. The seats are decent, and the stage views work nicely for intimate shows and performances. Exiting after a show is surprisingly manageable compared to other venues—even the parking lot flows better than expected. Plus, the surrounding area is both quaint and lively, offering plenty of options to enjoy before or after a performance. * The theatre tends to get a bit warm during summer performances—seems like the air conditioning doesn’t always keep up. 🫠
Stefano L — Google review
Comfortable seats, nice view of the scenario. But I was not expecting that the men's room had such a strong smell to pee, which was all over the floor! And since it looks like the women's washroom is not calculated for the amount of ladies going at the same time, I saw a couple of them exiting from the stalls while I was at the urinals, both of them ashamed to be there. 🤦
Renato N — Google review
Very nice venue! Theatre itself is beautiful and comfortable. Restrooms were clean and also comfortable. Only complaint I'd have is the size of the lobby--a little cramped on entry and especially when leaving a show. Getting to Berri-UQAM after can be quite crowded. In general, be ready to enjoy the show and also be ready to squeeze a little!
Patrick K — Google review
Really beautiful venue. Staff was all so nice! But the chairs went with the tables (the high ones near the stage) were the most uncomfortable chairs I’ve ever sat in. I kept checking the time because I didn’t think I could ensure it the whole show.
M — Google review
We attend the lasting impressions. The room is big and the screens are all over the place. Would suggest to seat more in the middle rather in front to have a better big pictures, since the image are projected to 4 walls.
Moni M — Google review
Lasting Impressions was so entertaining! The first half is interesting history about different artists. Paintings were projected on the main screen in front and on the sides. The second half was with 3rd glasses. The main screen was in 3rd. The sides were regular display. If you haven’t bought tickets yet, do not buy in the first row. Go further back in the middle or maybe the balcony. Espace St Denis is a really nice theatre. Nice service. Very clean bathrooms. We parked right in front.

Its flagship venue, Salle Wilfrid‑Pelletier, inaugurated that year, marked the beginning of this iconic complex 🎟️ Venues & Programming Place des Arts includes six performance halls with varied capacities and purposes: Salle Wilfrid‑Pelletier (~2,996 seats): Canada’s largest multipurpose stage, home to large-scale opera, ballet, jazz, and musicals Maison symphonique (~2,100 seats): Acclaimed for its acoustics, home to the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Paul P — Google review
Place des Arts is, in my opinion, one of Montreal’s greatest cultural gems. The area around it has evolved into one of the city’s most charming yet bustling sectors, with something to enjoy in every season. I can easily imagine how delighted tourists must feel when visiting. Its proximity to excellent restaurants and the metro (subway) makes it very accessible, though parking can sometimes be a bit tricky—but not enough to take away from the experience. I’ve attended numerous shows here, including Broadway productions, which are truly spectacular. My only real criticism is the sound quality, which isn’t always ideal. While many may overlook this, an acoustic overhaul would significantly elevate the entertainment experience and make this venue even more remarkable.
Stefano L — Google review
Saw 2 concerts in October. Mezzanine seats are too small. Also mezzanine seats don't have a unobstructed view (lighting fuxtures) of the screen images. It's something Place Des Arts should consider for people sitting higher (project images lower i n the screens) Parterre seats are ideal.

Nice place for shows and concerts, acoustics are clear, the place itself is really well maintained, not crappie sets... illumination during this last show now in 2025 Montreal Jazzfestival, was very modest but accordingly appropriate with jazz rhythm, Dianne Reeves makes us happy for an 1,15 hour, very recommended, the only thing I didn't find was a place to buy a bottle of water, but finally we found a water fountain

Barbies Resto Bar Grill offers regular special promotions, such as complimentary nachos when purchasing a pitcher of beer, and provides a relaxed environment for patrons to enjoy sports on television. The menu features tasty appetizers like mozzarella cheese sticks, while the main course options include flavorful steaks like strip loin with deluxe Monte Carlo potato and beef flank with yam fries. Alyssa provided excellent service during one visit, and William was a friendly and courteous waiter during another.
The food was tasty and although we had to wait a long time before someone came to sit us, the server came to check up on us multiple times and service was good. They also have free unlimited popcorn! 🍿

Bad experience. The menu was promising. Waited over an hour to receive our food. Very disappointed when we did. The pizza tasted like a frozen McCain pizza, steak was over cooked and cold. Chicken was dry and cold. The only saving grace was the ribs were good and the twice baked potato was great. Chloe our server was not good. Never checked on us. And when we paid the bill I decided to debt the bill and cash the tip. She stood over me and.waited for me to decide on the tip, told her we would leave it on the table. She still stood over me waiting!!! Who does that!! So rude! Would never recommend this place nor return.

Entrée was ok , nothing to call home about. Burger looked pretty good and had a great texture but it was a bit bland. Exactly the same thing for the fries. They look good, good texture but a bit bland. The cake was the best part of the meal, it wa really good.

To be seated took a few minutes. Took some time to place my order. Food came quickly. I came Tuesday to try the chicken wings. Was very good. Their beer so a 20oz is pricy at 10. I'd come back again for the wings.

I had such a great experience at Barbie’s! The burgers were juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor — definitely one of the best I’ve had in a while. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and smothered in a rich, smoky BBQ sauce that was just the right balance of sweet and tangy. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
Gloria — Google review
I would love to give 5 stars, but i just can't do it. Had the 16oz ribeye steak, cooked almost to perfection, maybe a bit too cooked for a rare steak. The escargot was bland and way too cheesy, along with the bread being super dry with it. The servers were way too busy with the number of people here at the time (dinner time) 6pm. VLTs were occupied by the same 5 people for the 2 hours i was there (must have been on a streak). Overall, it was an excellent meal but certainly has room for improvement in this establishment. Kudos to the chef's and waitresses during such a busy friday night. The gravy was absolutely bomb though, top tier. Has the potential to be one of the better food establishments in the area. IMO, flavor up the dishes. Hire extra staff and get that flow state going to heighten up the atmosphere.
Jeff M — Google review
The meal was good and the prices are reasonable. However the service has noticeably worsened. I hope it is the exception, not the norm. The waiter seemed tired and annoyed, speaking in half sentences and never bothering to explain anything. He then spilled an alcoholic cocktail on a child. While apologetic, he quickly ignored the situation, not helping clean her clothes or the floor which now had a sticky puddle. We had to ask someone else to help us. Any trash we had was left uncleaned on the side of the table. Finally, the waiter refused to apply the brochure discount to us because "we had brought it up too late." Apparently we were supposed to tell him at the beginning of the meal, and telling the receptionist was not enough? I will say that after some pushback, he did relent, citing that it was company policy. If that is the case, then I implore Barbies to reevaluate their policies. Also they forgot to give us the dessert that came included with the kid's meal. Though I will say we forgot as well until we walked out so it may not be entirely fair. Frankly I am left very town by this visit. On one hand, the nostalgia of my youth with this restaurant and the value of my delicious meal leave me wanting to leave a positive note. On the other hand, the terribly negligent and dismissive customer service compel me to leave a scathing review. If things improve on my next visit, I will adjust my review accordingly because I truly do like this restaurant.

Impressively fast, with a pickup time of just 20 minutes, their wide variety of sushi options provides great value for the price. One notable choice is the T7, an order consisting of 57 pieces of sushi. However, it's worth mentioning that some customers experienced discrepancies between the online menu prices and what they were charged.

Tasty and delicious. Fast service. Friendly staff. The only downside is, they didn’t have lettuce (our reservation was at 6:30 pm) and I love rolling my grilled meat in it. But overall, I will come back again. I already recommended my friends to try this place.

Way too expensive. All you can eat weekday dinner for one person is $49.99, after mandatory 15% service charge and Sales tax it came out to be $66 just for one person. Food is not bad, but it is overpriced by about $17 in my opinion.

You should definitely go! We had an enjoyable experience, and this wasn’t our first visit, nor will it be our last. The service was prompt, and the staff was understanding and skilled, though some seemed a bit more stressed than others…understandable given the busy environment. Parking is relatively easy, and the food is delicious and well-prepared. I don’t mind the automatic tip added to the bill, though I can see how it might be frustrating for others, as a minimum 15%* tip is still expected even if the service isn’t satisfactory. Lastly, due to the high volume of orders, it seems they occasionally "miss" some plates. Whether this is intentional or not, it’s an area for improvement. Overall, we had a great time and don’t forget to make a reservation!

Really good food, great service. Little bit on the expensive side, cost us $155 for 2 adults and a 3 year old and they charge 15% gratuity on the bill which took us by surprise i usually would have left more tip but since they forced it we only left the 15%.

Lebanese restaurant
Restaurant Boustan is a popular casual dining option in Montreal, offering a variety of Lebanese dishes including pitas filled with Montréal-style spit-grilled meats. The menu features options like chicken, beef, and veggie pitas as well as 'The Creation.' Customers rave about the delicious garlic potatoes served with extra sauce. The portions are generous and reasonably priced at around $13 per meal. Visitors appreciate the flavorful shawarma plates which include rice, fried potatoes, hummus, and salad.
Didn’t even know they made breakfast!!! Walked in, quick and friendly service. Will definitely go back!

Large portions, and food was good. But the best part was the service, the team is pretty quick, efficient, and friendly. I would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

I like the seating of this restaurant. Although there’s air con but the restaurant is completely open to the side walk. There are no windows. It’s like sitting in the outside enjoying the fresh air and watch the cars and people going by. It’s a popular place. Crowded. The souvlaki combo is $20 tax included. Portion is generous. Fried potatoes are crispy. Rice and meats are tasty. They put all the sauce you requested in the bowl. But we did go back to ask for some garlic sauce to dip my pita bread. The staff are accommodating. I like this better than souvlaki bar. I’ll return.

Decent shawarma, but at the time, I didn't find it above the rest of decent and passable shawarmas. Portion was average to small. Could've used more meat. Staff was helpful.
Eunice I — Google review
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Boustan. The cashier had a very rude and unprofessional attitude no greeting, no smile, and no respect toward customers. When I tried to explain my customization for the shawarma, the cashier completely ignored me, rushed my order, and acted like I was bothering them. Even after repeating myself, they didn’t pay attention and gave me the wrong food. Instead of fixing the issue, the cashier was dismissive, arrogant, and had zero customer service skills. If Boustan wants to keep customers, they seriously need to train their staff on basic manners, specially they needs to change the cashier he don’t know how to respect, and listening to orders. Very disappointing, and I will never go back.

I have been visiting the place over the years never disappointed me once, love Boustan!!! Will definitely recommend, always happy with this place😍🥰 These Potatoes with garlic sauce are the best in this entire world 🌎 😄

Amazing food and quantity. Tanvir was so nice to serve us. He had a great smile and served us with love. Thank you
Rahul M — Google review
I had a really disappointing experience . First off, the cashier was incredibly rude. I asked for a simple customization to my order, and he flat-out refused without any explanation. It wasn’t a complicated request, just a basic change that most places would easily accommodate. He acted like I was bothering him just for asking. What made it worse was the attitude—no apology, no attempt to be polite, just bad energy all around. It felt like customer service wasn’t even on their radar. To top it off, the food wasn’t any better. What I did get tasted bland and poorly made. It was honestly not worth the price or the hassle. Wrap was all soggy .Basically main dish lacked taste. This was the second time ordering with the Thin boy from Bangladesh who works in night and he left us disappointed. Never gonna come to this location again.

Ramen restaurant
Neotokyo is a trendy noodle bar in Montreal with a cyberpunk aesthetic that offers delicious Japanese dishes and a variety of sake and cocktails. The restaurant's decor perfectly captures the futuristic vibe, making diners feel like they're in a scene from Blade Runner. The menu features flavorful ramen soups, mazemen, and classic sides like cucumber salad, fried chicken, and dumplings.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Neotokyo! The decor is amazing and there are so many little details we kept noticing throughout the night. Our bartender was so attentive and checked in on us so much -she was so sweet!! We got the gyoza as an appetizer which was great, and tonkatsu ramen was perfect and so were our drinks! Next time we are in Montreal we will be back:)

Visited 1 time. Welcoming staff, clean place and super cosy atmosphere. As for food, the Takoyaki balls were super delicious. The ramen we took, hmm.. they were good too but I expected them to be better. I had the Tonkotsu and added extra black garlic oil too but I personally found that it still lacked depths and flavours. (Same impressions from the people accompanying me) I would recommend if for the welcoming and super nice decor though 👌
Avisen C — Google review
I tried both the broth ramen and the dry ramen (both were delicious), with very generous portions and outstanding flavor. The appetizers were also very good, and they came with a mustard/mayo-style sauce that was incredibly tasty. The service was attentive and quick, which made the experience even better. 100% recommended. The only detail is that it is not very suitable for large groups, so it’s best to go as a couple or in a small group.
Rodrigo S — Google review
Atmosphere wise, this place is really cool and scores a 100 for vibe, feels like AKIRA. Definitely check it out at least once. Decent ramen, they give you a good amount of noodles BUT the truffle ramen I ordered had no meat at all just a couple of mushrooms and cabbage...? Quite a disappointment for a $20 bowl, not recommended. The Takoyaki was good, recommended. The Yakisoba (their Monday special) was surprisingly good, we really liked it, you could taste the lightly charred flavor, wife and I loved it. Overall the ramen just was OK at least for the ones I ordered, otherwise this could've been a 5 stars.

Went there on Tuesday during lunch time and it was delicious!! You definitely need to book if you are planning on heading there during the week and lunch time. The Ramen were full of flavors and great service!

We enjoyed Neotokyo that we came back for the 2nd time the following day! Matcha beer was actually the reason why we decided to visit, unfortunately it was not available anymore. But the bartender offered us to try their other drinks which we enjoyed! We were sitting at the bar the entire time, we just had a full dinner somewhere, and only up for drinks. We had a good view of how the chef were making the ramens, that’s why we decided to come the following day which we never regret. All the food were superb and especially the service!
Ariane S — Google review
Service was great and the decor was fun. The ramen had perfectly cooked noodles and a flavorful broth, though the pork chashu was a little too fatty. The ice cream was excellent!
Elly H — Google review
It’s easy to get ramen wrong, but I was very impressed with this spot. The ramen was rich and flavourful. It had a good vibe, quick service, not fancy or pretentious but just darn good soup. I’ll go again.

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Pizzeria Sofia at Dix30 in Brossard is a modern Italian eatery with a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant offers classic Italian dishes, including wood-fired oven pizzas and a variety of beverages from the full bar. Visitors appreciate the beautiful decor, which adds to the overall dining experience. While some guests found the food delicious and enjoyed their pizza selections, others felt that certain dishes could have been hotter.
My family and I hosted a baby shower here. Service and food deserve 5 stars. We loved the lamb chops, black truffle Mac n cheese, pizzas and the burrata salad. Everything was served hot and packed with plenty of flavor. Definitely recommend adding their chili crunch to the pizzas. The pizza ovens are huge here and each pizza had the perfect crispy crunch. When you enter there’s plenty of indoor seating and a large bar. I loved the high ceilings and open kitchen concept. Upstairs is reserved for private events and there was a nice outdoor patio. Highly recommend coming here for some quality Italian.

Pizzas where bigger then the plates they where served on. Eaten before picture. Pizza box for the leftovers. What a place to eat pizza and drink some nice wine. Very recommend for date night. Families and other occasions also. Side note waiter and service was excellent.

The pizzas and salads at Sophia Pizza are very good, with generous portions that are perfect for sharing. The flavors were tasty and well-prepared. Service was a little on the slower side, but overall it was an enjoyable experience and worth a visit if you’re in Dix30.

Absolutely delicious! Hands down the best gluten-free pizza and desserts in town — you’d never guess they’re gluten-free. The flavors were incredible, and the texture was perfect. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We felt so well taken care of and truly enjoyed our evening on the terrasse. A huge thank you to the entire staff for such a memorable experience. We can’t wait to come back!

Pizzeria Sofia We’ve been coming to Pizzeria Sofia for about ten years, and it’s always amazing! The food is delicious and beautifully presented — honestly, the best pizza ever. Our whole family loves it (two kids, 4 and 10), and everyone always finds something tasty, from seafood to desserts. We’ve even celebrated our kids’ birthdays there a few times — the atmosphere is warm, festive, and the staff make everything special. Highly recommend for a cozy family dinner or any special occasion! 🍕✨

My friend and I recently had lunch at Pizzeria Sofia at Dix 30 in Brossard, Quebec. We were seated at a decent table, even though the restaurant was busy, and we did not have reservations. As a starters, we shared an order of the fried calamari and shrimp which we well prepared and tasted fresh. The spicy mayonnaise that accompanied this dish was particularly tasty. For dishes, my friend ordered a spinach pizza and I ordered the gnocchi with black pepper. Unfortunately, our meals were served when my friend was in the washroom. In my opinion, in these cases, restaurant staff should return these dishes and wait until the table is fully occupied. The spinach pizza turned out to be very good and the gnocchi was actually excellent, particularly due to the pepper seasoning, which is not something I normally order. Unfortunately, our waitress never brought the bill to our table (my friend had left to run to a meeting by that time) and so I had to go up to the bar to retrieve it. Our waitress was standing there and she did not apologize or give a reason why I had to track down my bill myself. The Bluetooth payment device at Pizzeria Sofia is set to add tips, starting at 18% in increments all the way up to 30%, which I found completely inappropriate. (I did not see a function on the device where I could add my desired tip percentage). I have heard all the arguments about the cost of inflation, the financial effects of the pandemic, the fact that service people live off tips, etc. but it NOT APPROPRIATE to force tipping starting at 18%. The service we received did not merit anything close to 18%. I would suggest giving this restaurant a pass, it is already considered to be pricey and its tipping policy is out to lunch. There are lots of other options at Dix 30.

Who? Pizzeria Sofia What? Italian restaurant Why? Pizzeria Sofia will definitely satisfy your Italian cravings. From pasta to pizza, this place has it all! We were there on a Friday night and the place was packed, so definitely reserve before going. We ordered aperol spritz which was mostly ice(15$), fritto misto (fried calamari and shrimps), tortellini rosée and pizza burrata. The plates are definitely not cheap, but the quality was there! The best plate was the tortellini rosée, the sauce was exquisite. One of the biggest issue with this place is how slow the service was (about 80 minutes to get our plate). Also, they do not offer tap water, you have to pay for an Eska bottle (5$) which is pretty ridiculous considering water is free everywhere else. Price: around 50$/person
Joana Z — Google review
Prices are somewhat elevated, for example, for the wines there's nothing under 65$ per bottle of red wine. The service is great, the food is excellent, although the pizzas could have more ingredients on them. The reception is mediocre, I will say it, it depends on how you look, which is totally unacceptable, everyone should be treated the same way. That is my personal opinion.
