Park
Goldstream Provincial Park, located just a short drive from the city, offers a diverse natural playground spread across 937 acres. The park features ancient trees such as 600-year-old Douglas Firs, Maples, Garry Oaks, and Arbutus. Visitors can explore hiking trails of varying difficulty levels, including the challenging Mount Finlayson trek. The park is also home to picturesque waterfalls and abundant wildlife.
Great park, some nice trails through the forest. Walk to the visitor centre is super easy and flat. The gold mine trail up and around to the falls is nice but crazy steep right at the end where it drops from the trestle to the falls. Would be nice if there was trail access under the highway and a way to get to the trailheads without walking along the road or driving.

Goldstream Provincial Park is incredible! I loved watching salmon swim upstream—it was such a magical sight. The lush scenery and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect spot for hiking or just soaking in nature. A must-visit for anyone seeking a natural escape!
W C — Google review
It was worth the hike, seeing how well they manage this place. There are many nice picnic tables and if you walk under the highway through the river tunnel and follow the river bed, the waterfall is not to far. (Ware good shoes!)

Nice little weekend hike through Goldstream Provincial Park and hitting up Niagara Falls. At 47.5 metres it’s almost at high as its famous namesake. 💦 Some hills to climb up and down, around rocks and trees. Be careful on the rocks through the water. Or stay to the sides and keep dry. Recommend hiking 🥾 shoes or boots. The park is also home to 600-year-old Douglas fir trees and western red cedar, western yew and hemlock, red alder, big leaf maple and black cottonwood. 🌲 Phot doesn’t do it justice. The trails are relatively accessible and flat. Easy for walking. I’ll be back in the fall to watch the annual chum salmon spawning run. 🐟

Overall we were very happy to stay here. It is a large campground with nice sites, but of course hard to get a reservation for. There is a waterfall you can walk to, a playground for younger children and an enclosed bike park. The roads are paved, good fir chalk art, scooters, etc. There are many bathrooms, and two specifically that have showers that are reasonably well kept. Bathroom stalls in these are concrete and spacious, there is hand washing with soap (some campgrounds don't have soap but this one does) and a hand dryer, plus 2 plugs for hair dryers or whatever. There are also dish washing stations on the outside of the bathrooms, which is really nice. Neighbors in sites are hit or miss. A few nights we had quiet nice neighbours, then a few nights we had smoking, loud music playing, baby screaming neighbors. Staff are nice and keep things clean.

Beautiful place, loved being surrounded by the trees. Walk through the tunnel towards the fall was like entering a fantasy world. Wanted to hike further but struggled through a lack of signage but it was our first time visiting so we are unfamiliar with the park. Would love to explore more.
Sarah C — Google review
We parked on the south bound side of the highway, and walked down into the creek bed to the falls and it was nice! My very small Papillion Chihuahua had very few issues with the rocks, though I did have to carry her a short distance, a couple of times. After the falls, we walked through the tunnel to the other side and went to the nature house🙂 Really a beautiful place to visit!
Liz A — Google review
Beautiful park, but not well indicated. The park is divided by the Malahat highway that runs through it, with a pedestrian tunnel underneath. So if you park on one side you can easily get to the other side. However, there are no signs for the tunnel (it's really there, as confirmed by one of the park rangers we spoke to). And rather than pointing you to the tunnel, the signs on the East side state you should drive to the parking lot on the West side if you want to visit the falls (both falls are on the West side). Anyway, it was certainly worth it, despite the confusion and driving around.

YMCA-YWCA Westhills is a newly opened recreational facility in Langford, offering a wide range of amenities for visitors. The center features a lap pool, lazy river, warm water therapy pool, waterslide, health and fitness facility, daycare center, and free wifi. Visitors appreciate the fantastic staff who manage large events with professionalism and keep things running smoothly. Some members suggest that there should be more supervision during after-school hours to ensure proper use of equipment and safety.
Beautiful facility. Hours are a bit restricted, but the kind staff, pool, steam room, and sauna make up the difference in value for the shorter open-hours. Weight room has 4 squat racks, 2 smith machines and a separate section for dumbbells. Not large, but everything you could need. Lockers are included in your membership. Everyone gets a key card that provides a lock to any locker. Locking your stuff in a locker using your key card claims that locker to your card until you unlock it. I thought that was pretty neat.
Brendan V — Google review
Nice facility.... however. The staff at the front desk are unfriendly. This is the first Y I've ever been to where you aren't greeted, nor spoken to as you leave. The staff bury their heads in screens or chat with each other. I used to work at a Y as membership services.... I would have been fired for this nonsense. I was denied storing my kids small diabetic backpack in the staff room by the pool. So if someone swiped it i'd be screwed for my son. The booking of the upstairs gym is ridiculous. The Y's website sucks, their own staff admit this (maybe change it?). People booking the gym all day for only 1 or two people in gym so others can't use it is the dumbest idea ever. Maybe try open gyms or specific activities... crazy ideas hey.
Trav M — Google review
Nice gym, clean with good selection of machines and free weights. Lots and lots of cardio machines. The only thing is there isn’t a ton of floor space if you need to stretch or do anything in a mat. Also the mats are shorter than I needed but other than that great gym.
Jessica P — Google review
This place is very good, there is a gym and a swimming pool. Ilike to come to the swimming pool. My kids enjoy playing in the water. There are many toys and if you are senior, there is a hot spring pool to soak in comfortably. The reception staff is good. But paying here does not accept cash. The vending machine for snack is broken and changing area does not lock
Teerut P — Google review
The gym (reason I got a membership) is not great. If all you want to do is run on a treadmill or lift some weights I could see it being a good option. Their weight machines are super limited, usually super busy so very hard almost stressful to get a machine. It is not enjoyable. I found there was barely any leg machines especially and the 2/3 they have are always busy. I use to love my time at fitness world where there was always something open and great selections. The Y is just not set up properly.
Megan M — Google review
The pool is nice, clean and overall great location. The issue, you have to sign up for a full membership to do any swim lessons with your kids. Meaning something that should be reasonable in cost, ends up being thousands of dollars. It’s no surprise this business is failing and that the city of Langford, and its residents, are having to foot the bill and buy out this location. Absolute joke.
Kris M — Google review
Provide everything that family needed! Lots of options for fitness classes in different times of the days and weeks. Great pool! Fitness room is not good for athletes people, Great for teenagers. Lots of disabilities parking

A young woman working front desk was so rude to my daughter, after she asked about swim classes and lane times. My daughter left in tears, doesn't want anything to do with swimming or practicing for swimming.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Immediately greeted by a wonderful view when you enter the lobby. To begin the staff was attentive and courteous. The amenities were clean and well kept. The room was large and the beds may have been the most comfortable I’ve stayed in. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family and easily rate this stay a 10/10. Well done staff and team! We look forward to our next stay at Bear Mountain. The food at the lobby restaurant was also very impressive and the brunch options were a great way to start the day.

We stayed at Fairways. The hotel itself was vey nice, however they do not have a pool/hot tub. You can use the facility next door for a mere $47.50 per day (that is not a typo). The area is very peaceful. Other than outdoor activity there is not much else to do. There is one bar/restaurant so your dining options are limited. There is no convenience store or the like to purchase snacks etc.
Steve C — Google review
What a beautiful resort! Very quiet and peaceful. The restaurant was spectacular but didn’t open until 7pm so it made it a rush to get to our events at 8am. A little convoluted to get to the resort, but easier after driving there a few times.

We booked multiple rooms through my family members (last names all Kent and Irons) and stayed here for two nights with a very large group in a number of suite units and hotel rooms. I tried leaving a review and got a smug response from management and my review being removed because they claimed I never stayed here. It was 30C each day and we complained that the AC didn’t work in any of the rooms (temperatures of 24-25C in the rooms). Despite repeatedly inquiring about getting this fixed, nothing was done so it was a very uncomfortable stay for everyone. At over $550/night/room I would not ever consider coming back here when there’s much more affordable options that would have allowed us to sleep comfortably. Some of the rooms with suites had a terrible smell in them too, and the service from staff was pretty abysmal with the exception of the guys at the front who were very professional and helpful. The restaurant in the lobby was a bit of a nightmare too. Half our table waited almost 2 hours to get their mains and it didn’t seem like the servers had a clue who was in charge or how to handle a large group. Golf course was a total nightmare as well. We will not be staying here again in the future.

Stayed here for 2 nights, in a beautiful suite. The first night I stayed was before my wedding- and the second night was the night of my wedding with my wife. We had asked for the room to be cleaned before we returned after our wedding (i had my bridesmaids and makeup artists there with me prior to the wedding getting ready) we came back to nothing cleaned at all- the only thing that was made was the bed. When we spoke with staff about this they said "we only offer a light cleaning which is mostly just making the bed" So unfortunately we came back on our wedding night to cups everywhere and crumbs on the floor. If you have an expectation for your room to be cleaned (like every other hotel) don't stay here! No apology from the manager. Considering we payed over $1000 that is unacceptable.

Fantastic staff. Property is well maintained. We're currently in the middle of a six day stay with our 1 year old son. Staff has gone out of their way to accommodate us. Would recommend to anyone who's looking for a mountain escape with the desire for modern amenities.

Wow! I was thrilled with my stay at the Westin. Staff was amazing and goes above and beyond. The relaxation pool has wonderful views and the lush gardens surrounding you had many visiting hummingbirds. Can’t wait to come back!! Special mention to the front staff and concierge. Thank you again for such a great mini vacay!

My daughter booked a two night stay in July 2025 for her wedding! First night was for her bridal party and second was to be for herself and partner. Walked into to a beautiful room with a view! We had people in snd out throughout the morning and early afternoon of the wedding day for hair, makeup and photos. When the couple got back to their suite that night the room was not made up To what was expected and asked for on several occasions when the room was booked and when we checked in the night before. It was told that she wanted the room cleaned and beds made. Well, bed was made and fresh towels were given. The rest of the room was still the way we left it! It wasn’t a disaster but definitely was asked to taken care of as per her request many times. For the price of this room per night we should have had someone come in and turn our beds down … but the standard certainly wasn’t there! This is extremely disappointing on soo many levels! This was to be a special memory for the bridal couple that was tarnished! This was a gift from her 91 year old grandmother from NS that couldn’t attend. We gave you a chance to make it right and you failed! We were not asking for a refined but for compensation and you failed You disappointed a bridal Couple on their wedding night! This maybe petty to some , but good money was spent, it was a gift.. requests were asked and not followed through! If this is not your practice to clean your rooms as such after several requests than that should have been stated by your staff… and it was not! I was present when the request for the room was given and was told Absolutely no problem!! Train your staff better when asked simple questions ! You can still make this right!

Jack's Place is a casual eatery that offers both pub food and sushi in a relaxed environment, complete with a spacious patio, full bar, and TVs. During my visit for lunch, I opted for the delectable power bowl featuring tuna, which was incredibly delicious. Additionally, I indulged in the delightful warm brownie. However, my husband found the lemon pepper wings to be slightly spicy and thought the chicken mini burgers were good but accompanied by dry fries.
The Linguini with meatballs and baked cheese looked incredibly appetizing but was a little too sweet. The steak was a little cold, but we did change our order a few times, so they may have neglected it a little in favor of getting our food out at the same time. Service was great, and we enjoyed the beautiful view, our sushi and pizza, and the various sports channels on the television.

We were part of the retirement party that had a table from 5-7pm a few Saturdays ago. I would like to share my experience that evening. My wife and I arrived about 20 minutes late. We were seated and ordered our drinks. When they arrived, we ordered our food--the sushi platter for my wife and the steak and sushi (one of my all time favourites) for me. The sushi arrived promptly. My order arrived much later (my wife had almost finished her dinner) and it was not correct (steak sandwich). The young lady took it back and assured me that it will only take a few minutes to correct. While I was waiting for the dinner I ordered to arrive, a few things happened: 1. A table of four arrived, received their drinks, food, a second round of drinks, paid their tab and left. 2. People at the other end of our table received another round of drinks. 3. Despite trying several times to make eye contact with our server, she not once looked our way or checked if the food was okay or if we needed another drink. 4. I ordered a drink from the young lady who was clearing our table. It never arrived. 5. Our host was told several times by our server that we had to be cleared by 7pm. I still haven't received my food. My dinner arrived at 6:50. The steak looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp since I had sent it back. I sent it back again. To summarize, our server interacted with us three times: once to take our drink order, once to take our food order and once to present us with the bill--no explanation or acknowledgement that anything went wrong. I contacted management via email to inform them of our experience and they asked for a chance to make things right. suggested that a comp for our last bill (which was under $50, and I regret paying) would be a reasonable gesture on their part. I have yet to receive a response.

Love love the tuna salad bowl here. Such a healthy and yummy option, however the nachos are also huge and yummy! Great for dates or when we have the kids with us too.

Food was good, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We loved the menu, so much variety and everyone from our group was happy and excited to order their food. The food was delicious too, would definitely come back for the whole experience!

We visited Jack's Restaurant over the long weekend. It was quiet and had a really nice atmosphere. My husband had the fish & chips and I ordered the beef dip. It took a while to get our meals, which is fine because it shows the food is freshly made. The only downside was that the fish had a strong fishy smell, and my beef dip had a lot of chewy and fatty pieces and the broth had a very strong meaty smell.
Fatemeh H — Google review
A very disappointing meal. The $34 steak sandwich, MR, was dry and a bit tough. The steak knife was needed to cut through the bread it was so tough. The halibut tacos, what halibut? The small piece of halibut in it was almost non-existent but covered in thick batter. That dish was discounted but overall the meal was not up to the standards we expected.
Alan G — Google review
We had lunch here. I ordered a power bowl with tuna (which was very yummy) and a warm brownie (which also was yummy). My husband had lemon pepper wings, which were a little bit on the burn side as well as chicken mini burgers (burgers were good but fries were mostly dry). Waitress was really nice and helpful. It is an ok place in my opinion. After 3 pm you can have sushi but we were earlier so I couldn’t order it, so no opinion about that. Might return but mostly just because a friend lives nearby and it is a central place to meet.
Izmet B — Google review
Atmosphere: Cold, unwelcome environment. Seat yourself. Service: Started off ok, and was mostly attentive however had an attitude and was defensive. Food: Cesar salad: inedible. So much dressing it drowned the brownish lettuce. Hard End pieces of lettuce not even flavored Mozza Bacon mushroom burger: really good flavor, lots of mushrooms. Onion ring was perfect. Hardly any sauce on the burger and it dry, Did not come with ketchup. Had to ask for a side of it. Waitress seemed a bit defensive about needing it. "Gluten-free " jacks burger: They say their is the ability to make it gf, what they mean is no gf bun, and chopped up lettuce for a "lettuce wrap" but doesn't actually wrap around the meat. It's eaten with fork and knife burger. A pathetic excuse. It was Awful! Greasy, no flavor and the lettuce was brown! Also because it was gf, they decided to put a FULL GLUTEN onion ring on top?! Way to poison someone who may have celiac. (Waitress asked are you ok to pick it off? I am, however some one else may not be.) I picked it off and gave to my hubby. But definitely not impressed. *** Allergies/sensitivities its not taken seriously here. Gluten-free spinach and artichoke dip. Husband decided to have the pita bread, and I the tortillas chips I asked if they were wheat or corn. Waitress said I think corn. Never confirmed. And when they brought it out, the pita bread was right next to the tortillas chips. Cross contamination. Again poor understanding of allergens & sensitive eating. Sad to say we will NOT be back, and if you have allergens or sensitive eating plan, AVOID!!

Nature & Parks
Thetis Lake Regional Park is a popular nature sanctuary in Canada, offering a serene lakeside setting with hiking trails and beaches. Surrounded by beautiful parks like Goldstream Provincial Park, it's an ideal spot for picnics and scenic hikes through dense forests and tranquil lakes. The park features soft ground trails with occasional muddy patches, fishing spots (with license), and prohibits cliff jumping.
Thetis lake is super beautiful, and I always manage to find something new! There are tons of birds and fish. I've even seen a few garter snakes. Its disappointing to see so many invasive bull frogs. I even found a cool young deer skeletons. The trails are very easy. If you're fairly mobility limited you could easily walk the south west side of lower Thetis, the east side has a single section with decent elevation gain, but for the most part the entire region is good hiking for the whole family. The beach beautiful and sandy, but always packed in summer. Every part of the lake is great for swimming, depending on how comfortable you are going on from rocks. My favorite spots for swimming are out to the island, and a couple deeper sections in upper Thetis. Decent fishing trout and bass. No motorized boats are allowed, but ideal for paddlers. There is a dog park, which is actually where I usually launch my kayak.
Cameron C — Google review
Wonderful place for a tranquil stroll. The park is massive and covered in dense vegetation. The lakes are beautiful all year round. The trails are well marked and maintained. The only downsides are that there is almost no gradient and the views do get boring after awhile.
Kevin L — Google review
Amazing, relaxing great hiking and a nice beach. Parking was a breeze during the day. Worth the visit and make sure to bring swim wear on a nice day. Lake is clear and clean. The hike can be a little hard for some as it has a few elevation changes but it's dog friendly.
Jag B — Google review
A beautiful park and 40+ km of trails means you can return often and have new experiences. It's only five km of trails to go up, down and around both upper and lower lakes at Thetis Lake Park. The trails are maintained in excellent condition. In spring many types of wildflowers bloom, such a colourful and delicate contrast to the giant trees. We'll be back.
Linda M — Google review
Love to come to Thetis Lake any day of the week. It’s a bit busier on the weekends, as expected, but there’s always lots of room for parking. This is a great place for swimming, picnics, hikes, kayaking and paddle boarding (Palli Paddle Boards is very close if you want to rent one!). Parking is $2.50 for the day and there are lots of washrooms and changing rooms at the beach.
James S — Google review
We actually purchased our home because of it's close proximity to this gem of a location. Although this park can get busy in on the hottest days of summer, once parked there seems to be lots of room for everyone. Most of the rest of the year it is a peaceful oasis. The broad network of trails leave many choices for those looking to escape the business of life. For those that want to walk a dog, connect with a friend, build cardio, or take in quick break then the lower and upper lake loop trails are perfect for you. **Disclosure - I'm a little biased as this one is close to my home!

What a great walk! Walked from my daughter's school and took the trails leading to Thetis Lake. We strolled everywhere we possibly could and we still didn't see it all. We walked a total of 8.5km and want to come back for more as this place has incredible views and certain places are just so quiet and tranquil. Never did find my daughter's class trip but we did find a pile of new memories and pictures worth taking. Highly recommended for the walking and kayaking but not necessarily the swimming as there are algae blooms and some type of scum on the water during different seasons. Seen plenty of people still fishing so....up to you.
Booyaka ( — Google review
Thetis lake offers you walking/moderate hiking destination with serene views. I went to Thetis lake trek on weekend but could not finish the whole trek (upper lake) due to stormy weather but whatever I saw offered me with beautiful spots, off trail tracks and beautiful view of lake all along. Most of the trail is soft ground with very few muddy patches with fishing spots available (fishing license required). Cliff jumping is prohibited and depth warnings can be seen at certain spots around the lake. In addition, lake seems mystical especially in rainy weather. It’s easily accessible from downtown through tran Canada highway no. 1 and if you want to take bus then no. 50 will drop you 1 km away from the lake (at Island Highway at Six Mile Road). You can either walk from there all the way to Thetis lake regional park (up hill walk) or take bus no. 53 which will drop you in the parking lot of the Park. Good luck to everyone and again thank you Victoria for such beautiful moments.

If you're on the lookout for a vibrant spot to unwind in Langford, look no further than City Centre Grille! This hidden gem boasts an impressive array of amenities, including indoor bowling and arcade games that promise fun for everyone. The sports bar is equipped with numerous TVs, making it the perfect place to catch your favorite games while enjoying live music on the outdoor patio every Thursday night.
The assistant manager Ramsay, at the Patio is great! super friendly and always making sure things are right, especially with drinks and orders. He checked in often and actually cares that you’re having a good time. The patio is such a nice spot to chill, and the service makes it even better. Definitely coming back!

Stopped in at the sports bar recently and was pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem in Langford! Ramsay ( the manager) came over to check on us, when we asked what all was in this venue, he graciously gave us a wonderful tour of the facility that includes: indoor bowling, arcade games, a sports bar with loads of tv’s to watch your favourite sports, live music on the outdoor patio on Thursday nights, a sports venue that offers summer camps on top of sporting events AND concerts….. This is a TOP CLASS recreational facility with so much to offer that everyone who stays on the island or visits ( like us from Edmonton) must stop by and check it out, you will definitely not be disappointed. The place is very clean, the staff are super friendly and very good at their jobs, thanks Josh!! the food is excellent, and they even offer many specials to choose from daily! Thank you again Ramsay for taking the time to show off this place to us, we had no idea this place even existed but will be sure to stop in on our next visit to Victoria and hopefully get to hear some live music on that beautiful patio! I love the pub food here as well as some of the entrees. The rice bowl and pizza is awesome. Today I just had the happy hour cheese bread special and it was great. Tess the bartender kept the drink flowing with a very pleasant attitude! Bring in a Wednesday wing special!!!

Very bad food. We ordered Nachos and these were the worst Nachos we ever had. Too costly 25 CAD and hardly any cheese, veggies and beans in it. I would never visit this place again.

Amazing experience, even though the Oilers are loosing! Tara, our server, was so awesome! She was super friendly and got us our food fast! Drinks were great and the food was delicious!! 5 stars

Had the best service with Tara! She was friendly and very prompt with our orders. I liked that I could substitute vegan cheese for my nachos! This is a great venue for sports watching as there is a TV everywhere, and the space is large enough where the sound isn't deafening. It's my go to place for NFL

We were out on the patio today! Such great service by the staff and, we are able to bring our puppy with us, which is phemoninal! The food was excellent as always, however, the amazing staff make the an awesome place to eat! Thank you! And there was live music tonight

Korean restaurant
Persimmon Tree Modern Korean Cuisine is a fantastic contemporary Korean eatery that satisfies one's cravings for delectable East Asian fare. During my initial lunchtime visit, it was apparent from the rapid filling of the restaurant that this place is highly sought after by locals. Families and children are warmly welcomed, with child seats readily available. The establishment offers both booth and center tables, allowing for comfortable dining experiences.
We visited Persimmon Tree restaurant for Lunch,  Korean restaurant that left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The menu offered a variety of traditional Korean dishes, just the right varieties. Usually, when restaurants have many items on the menu, sometimes you won't get the best dish. That's what I've experienced for whatever reason. The Items that we ordered were the right quality and the perfect taste. I especially enjoyed the bibimbap and the bulgogi—both were flavorful and well-prepared. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service at Persimmon Tree. The staff, with their warm smiles and attentive nature, made us feel truly pampered. When one of my friends requested not to put onion and spring onion toppings on the dish, she later came and asked if she was okay with kimchi pancake as it was part of the accomplishments that came with the dish she ordered, which was very thoughtful of there and paid attention to the customer's preferences. The food was served promptly, and the staff checked in regularly to ensure our satisfaction. Overall, Persimmon Tree restaurant is an excellent place to satisfy your craving for good Korean cuisine in this neighbourhood. The combination of delicious food and outstanding service made for a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine in a warm and friendly environment.

Amazing food. Could not stop enjoying the ribs and spicy bi bimbap - OMG just so delicious Plus they have a cool Korean Soju and Wine Flight. Highly recommended. Sorry - only empty bowl to show because it was too good to sit for a pic.

I can't I haven't been here until now. I definitely missed Korean food. It is nice to get Korean food with great price and quantity. Customer service was great. No complaints there. Cass beer with $5 price tag is great! Very happy with my dinner. I will be back!

So, I perused my map pins for something to try that was close to where I need to be next and ended up at Persimmon Tree Restaurant. I've been to a few Korean places in many cities (but none in Korea) and do really enjoy the food. We had the Bibim Bap, the Gochujang Beef Noodle, and the Deep Fried Shrimp dumplings. All of the dishes tasted great. I'm only sad I didn't have space for the spicy soft tofu soup! It is truly one of my favorites. Definitely stop by if you're in the mood for some very good Korean food #vancouverisland #vancouverislandfood #livetoeat #thefoodlife #foodie #vanislefood

A very nice spot to have lunch. We were greeted by a most friendly host. There is a tasting menu for lunch with bulgogi or a vegetarian option. The bulgogi tasting menu came with a vegetable dumpling, a shrimp dumpling, a Korean pancake japchae, and some kimchi. All were very delicious - for $19. Will be back to try the short ribs!

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was AMAZING. This is definitely a place you can go for a GOOD quality Korean food which there are not many on the island. The parking lot is huge so it was nice. The restaurant was very spacious and CLEAN and the pleasant welcome from the staff was really nice. We ordered some appetizers and Jjambong(seafood noodles) and the famous Korean chicken. I LOVED jjambong! The portion was great and it wasnt too spicy. The Korean chicken was so yummy as well and it came with the salad on the side. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we are definitely coming back.

Update on June 8th: Finally got a chance to dine in. The service was amazingly friendly, and had more option than online menu or delivery app. Also the store inside was nice and bright, had a large table in the middle that can accommodate more than 6 people. ========================== I've been trying to order their food on skip, but their hours of operation on skip are very inconsistent. I was addicted to ordering their pork soft tofu soup, salty and spicy with a hint of sweetness, the best dish in my opinion. But after the pandemic, I think they cut the portion. The savoury seafood pancake tastes good too, and the waiter is very attentive to mark the sauce. However, there is not much seafood in it, and most of the pancakes are chives. Have ordered bibimbap too, amazing taste, hope to try it again next time I see them open on skip.

I got take out, so that's why I gave a 4 for the atmosphere, although it is a very clean place! David is providing personal recipes of Korean classics and his own take on his South Korean culture. I got the boneless chicken, and it was delicious with the perfect sweet and spicy. I will be back!

The Rack Bistro is a charming addition to Langford's dining scene, offering a timeless yet contemporary Canadian style with rustic wood trim walls and industrial lighting. The bistro has shown its support for the local community by hosting fundraisers and events, demonstrating their care and commitment. Guests have enjoyed the splendid atmosphere of the outdoor patio and praised the delicious food, particularly highlighting the flavorful rack sliders and Korean BBQ chicken lettuce wrap.
First time I stopped here for dinner and drink and I was impressed with the service, quality and the atmosphere. Staff were nice and friendly. Food and drink menu is great and probably to many people’s tastes. I ordered The Rack burger, it was juicy, tasty and delicious. All compliments to the chef. I would definitely recommend this bar/pub/restaurant for good drink, good foods and watch a sport game.

My significant other and I came here every weekend in 2021 for drinks and food as we only live 3 minutes away. This place has changed. Tonight was the last time we will come in. We have noticed the quality of the food slipping through the years since they opened in 2020. Tonight we came in at 7:30 on a Friday night, we were expecting to wait at least 15 minutes to get a seat. We were seated immediately in a barely filled restaurant. No server to be seen for 15 minutes, the bartender actually took our drinks and appetizer. The food is priced fairly and drinks are priced well, the cocktails are quite good actually. Deep fried pickles come out, the oil clearly needs to be changed in the deep fryer, black specks all over the pickles and definitely overcooked as they were overly browned and quite rubbery. Taste left something to be desired as well. Chicken souvlaki comes out, presentation is nice at first look, I pick the wrap up and it falls apart immediately, that’s fine. I unwrap the wrap from the wax paper and it is COVERED in grease. I understand that I’m eating at a pub/bar but you have to draw the line somewhere on how greasy food can be. Server comes back after another 15 minutes to ask how food is, I explain that it’s too greasy and I don’t want it. The food was comped without request. I did appreciate that, and it goes to show that the server was aware of the problem and is attentive to her job. She was a lovely server and I have no complaints about the service I received. The food leaves a lot to be desired, disappointing.

This evening’s visit to the rack could be summed up by two words that begin with “E.” Excellent, and Entertaining! When the boys said $1 tacos, my immediate reaction was oh great, I’ll eat ten of those, and hit McDonalds on the way home to fill up. I was completely wrong. We ordered 36 between the 3 of us, and were e all stuffed. Fist bump to the kitchen, who pumped our food out quick as hell! Pulled pork was definitely the clear victor, but in a close 2nd and 3rd were ground beef, and fish. The food wasn’t the only highlight. The table beside us was hilarious; we truly enjoyed interacting with them. Then beer was cold, as it should be. Honestly, the only thing we didn’t like, was our server…. We LOVED her. Had the pleasure of being served by the manager, and she was stellar. Sorry about the bad pics, they’re screenshotted from a video. 10/10 all around. Will definitely be returning soon.

It seemed really good at the beginning, then just went blah as our meal went on. The waitress wasn’t very interactive at all, the food wasn’t exciting. It was tasty but very blah. Nothing to remember where we ate at, if you get that when you go somewhere for the first time. For a $20 sandwich, you expect alittle more than two slices of meat. The chicken chowder was tasty, but very Hot, had to wait a bit. Coffee tasted burnt, but drank it anyway, bc coffee is coffee. 😜 Their traditional breakfast was also tasty, but just seemed like it was missing something. Couldn’t put my finger on it. The room temperature water.. from which we poured ourselves was a cherry on the cake of a ‘Blah’ brunch at The Rack. 👍🏻

The Rack has amazing service, food and drinks! The menu has a ton of things you don’t see everyday. Lots of use of balsamic reduction and other creative and rich flavours. Our server was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We sat on the patio and had an awesome time!

Service was great and the coconut mojitos were delicious. I ordered a taco salad and it was lacking for a price of $27 It was a bowl (not a taco bowl) of romaine lettuce with 3 tortilla chips, a few black beans and kernels of corn, a blob of avocado and 6 medium sized prawns. The dressing was tasty. It seems like restaurant prices are going up at the same time quality is going down, and tipping is going up - a triple whammy!

Had a wonderful Friday night at this amazing Bistro. The atmosphere was splendid at their outdoor patio. The food was really good and delicious. We tried the rack sliders which was the best among the lot with beef chuck and goat cheese, the flavour was out of the world. The Korean bbq chicken lettuce wrap was amazing as well. Will definitely try this place again.

Hatley Castle, located in Colwood, is a historic mansion and estate with formal gardens that has served as a residence and naval training facility. Built in 1908, this National Historic Site is now open to the public and also used by Royal Roads University. The castle has been featured in various films and TV series, making it a popular tourist attraction. Additionally, it played a significant role during World War II when it was considered as a potential royal residence for King George VI's family.
A truly magical place It is like stepping into a fairytale. The architecture is stunning, and the gardens are beautifully maintained—perfect for a peaceful walk or photos. I loved learning about its history and exploring the surrounding grounds. Great spot for visitors, history lovers, or anyone who appreciates nature and beauty. A little further down, there’s also a small forest trail that leads to a beach-like spot—peaceful and scenic, perfect for relaxing. A must-visit if you’re in the area!

Hatley Castle is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit! The grounds are peaceful and perfect for walking, exploring, and taking photos. The architecture of the castle is stunning, and the gardens are so well-kept — it feels like stepping into a fairytale. There’s also the option to take guided tours, which is a great way to learn more about the rich history of the castle and the estate. There’s so much to see in the area beyond the castle itself — from forested paths to scenic views — you could easily spend several hours here. A perfect spot for history lovers, photographers, or anyone just looking for a relaxing and inspiring place to visit. Highly recommended!

Such a stunning spot! While we didn’t book a tour, just walking the grounds was breathtaking! The castle itself was spectacular, the gardens are very well kept and lovely to walk around. There was also another garden area where you can walk around and explore however, we were there on a hot day and opted not to. While there is paid parking, I think it’s worth the trip :)

A truly stunning place 🤩. I couldn’t go inside because there was a private event, but walking around the exterior was absolutely worth it. The castle looks like something out of a fairytale, and the surrounding gardens are simply beautiful 🌿. The views are peaceful, inspiring, and perfect for amazing photos 📸✨. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves history, nature, or sharing great shots on social media.

A beautiful and historically rich spot that feels straight out of a movie set. The architecture is striking, and the surrounding gardens are peaceful and well-maintained. Great for a quiet walk, photos, or just soaking in a bit of local history. It can get busy with tours and events, but there’s still plenty of space to enjoy. Ideal for anyone into architecture, nature, or just wanting something a little different from the usual Victoria sights.

Hately Castle and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The castle itself is stunning and has been used as a set for many many movies including the original X-Men. You can take tours of the castle and even book it for.private events. The grounds are wonderfully manicured and has a large population of peacocks wandering around adding a touch of whimsy. The waterfront of the castle is beautiful as is the attached gardens. The Royal Roads woods next to the castle offer a variety of trails to wander down. There is also Charlie's Trail right next the the castle for a short forest walk.
Brittany M — Google review
I would go here over and over again. It was so beautiful. The garden is spectacular. The guided tour was very informational and brought you through the downstairs of the house. There are peacocks around the property that give it a magical touch as well.
Courtney K — Google review
Hatley Castle is a 10 out of 10 experience. The place looks like something straight out of a movie—literally, since it was used as Professor Xavier’s School in the X-Men films. The architecture is stunning, and the grounds are absolutely beautiful, with well-kept gardens, a peaceful pond, and even bushes shaped like the X-Men logo. It’s got this quiet, majestic vibe that makes you want to just walk around and take it all in. You’re near the beach too, so the scenery all around is amazing. The staff are helpful, the parking is easy (just make sure to pay), and it’s overall one of the coolest and most unique places I’ve visited in British Columbia. A must-see.

Nestled within the vibrant city limits, Veterans Memorial Park is a serene oasis that beautifully blends nature and community spirit. This park offers a peaceful retreat for reflection, highlighted by its central memorial inspired by Canada's Vimy Ridge monument. Visitors can enjoy the well-maintained grounds adorned with tasteful landscaping, while families appreciate the adjacent children's playground and seasonal farmers market that brings local flavors to life. The park also features charming statues and benches perfect for quiet contemplation or social gatherings.
Just moved to the island so I'm not too sure what else is around here. Saw the lights during the evening, thought they looked beautiful the way they accented the monument in the middle of the parkette. There is a gazebo and small playground off to the side area along with statues on benches. If you are here for your first time at night be prepared to jump a bit they actually freaked me out twice in one night 😆

Poncho's Cafe & Catering is a charming spot with a friendly staff and amazing food. The Avocado Toast is a must-try, and their lunch trio offers a great way to sample their soups, salads, and sandwiches. The drink menu is always changing with delicious options, and the baked goods are plentiful. Doug, the owner, goes above and beyond for his customers - even doing walk-throughs for events he caters.
As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with friendly enthusiasm, which carries all the way through your visit. The drinks are created with passion and creativity, and the food portions will not leave you hungry. I truly don’t think they could get any more food on a bagel.

How this place does not have a 5/5 rating is beyond me. Doug, the owner, is the type of man that will go above and beyond for you, even though he has never met you until that moment. There is a gentleman who hangs out there named Lance. What an intelligent, love-filled being. I had their breakfast sandwich, and it was one of those sandwiches that you’re still thinking about five days later … I ordered a latte, and asked for cardamom in it if they had any, and Doug searched the kitchen, until he found some, and then put it in a little tea bag for me in my latte. What a great place, I’ve made plans to go back this weekend - gotta get me another one of those sandwiches!

We're soiled for cafes in Langford these days, but Ponchos is still my go-to. As a regular now, I shout its praises whenever possible. You can't go wrong with incredibly friendly staff, who do their absolute best to provide exceptional service and make you feel welcome. Food is fresh, filling, with plenty of options for smaller bites or larger meals. (Personally, I always go for the Ponchos Breakfast Sandwich.) Alongside your usual drink options, Ponchos also has a seasonal/rotating drink menu that is always creative and delicious. I appreciate the laid back, personable vibe of the cafe, holding onto a cafe experience that feels nostalgic. In the heart of Langford city centre, this cafe is a hub for local news and catching up with loved ones. Highly recommend to anyone living in Langford and passing through.

There is absolutely nothing not to love!! The staff are always super humble and friendly its a wonderful feeling as soon as you walk in; you can see the staff clearly act as a family in their own way and its refreshing to see their outgoing friendliness. The food is always super delicious and you can see them as they make it with fresh ingredients in-store, they always add a adorable and delicious fruit garnish and their portions are almost always enough to take some home! The drinks are phenomenal and always come out looking a little extra pretty:) 10/10

Always love stopping in and saying hello to such a friendly group of staff! One of my favorite orders is their Avocado Toast. It's absolutely amazing. I do find occasionally (fairly rare) that their espresso beverages run on the bitter side but not in a way that would make you throw out your coffee! Such an amazing little hole in the wall, I definitely recommend taking a trip down and enjoying some great atmosphere and food!

We had my son’s birthday party at Eagle Ridge (dry floor + Patio 37) and it was fantastic! Ramsey was quick to respond to all my emails and made planning so easy. Lori at the front desk went above and beyond making sure hockey ran smoothly and everything was organized for lunch. Peyton at Patio 37 was amazing—she served the kids, brought out the cake, lit the candles, and was always ready to help. The whole team made the day stress-free and special. Highly recommend City Centre Park for parties!

The seats make you feel like your in a sardine can. In the grandstand. Very uncomfortable. Couldn't even last 1 quarter of football before we had to leave. Also don't bring any vape or smokes. They will make you throw them out. They don't trust people to follow the rules and not to smoke on the property. I will never go back here again. It was a miserable experience and highly DO NOT recommend.

The Fountain Diner is a long-standing, family-run establishment located in downtown Langford. It offers a diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and all-day breakfast options. Visit #1 Great experience... Friendly staff, fast service, everything was piping hot, big portion, and very yummy. Visit #2 Had the beef dip with ceaser salad. Was pretty good and looking forward to having visit #3 Visit #3 Tried the Benny... Pretty good when compared to other places. Although the eggs are cooked in water with vinegar like most places. It's very rare to find a place that can do a poached egg without vinegar. However, the egg was done exactly how I requested it. I'll order it again. Visit #4 Omelet is pretty good... Next time I'll ask for the mushrooms to be fried first though. But, as usual... Great food and service.

Breakfast was good, and they served the biggest cup of coffee ever! We sat outside—there was no heater under our spot, as they warned us, but it was totally fine. Service was friendly, and the food was hearty. The side of potatoes was a standout—crispy on the outside and light and fluffy inside. We had to wait outside the restaurant a few minutes before a table was ready so some benches or chairs outside would be a nice addition as there were other people awkwardly standing around.

Good was really disappointing… one we had pancakes which was awesome delicious great combination with the ice cream and even strawberry syrup was great. We went back to try breakfast but not as we expected. Skillets was dry and overloaded with potatoes . Medium poached eggs were hard and even cheese on my skillet weren’t melted… Overall the food was not good.

The service was great, very pleasant staff, food was good. Nice atmosphere, there is a little outdoor patio area that looks comfy too. Thank you to the staff, waiters, waitresses and chefs for the great experience. We ate here with our son (1.5yrs) and daughter (3.5yrs). When we left the restaurant, I went to put my son in his car seat and forgot the leftovers on the roof. They flew off near the Home Depot on Millstream, so if anyone would like a couple of hamburgers and some fries, there's an extra extra thin patty waiting for you there! Cheers ;-)

My partner and I went to the Fountain Diner for breakfast. We were seated quickly, the refreshments came quickly (huge cup of coffee), and the meals were delivered in a reasonable amount of time. The food was quite tasty, though the breakfast benchmark has been set quite high by the place we normally go to near our home in Royal Bay. Once our breakfast was served we didn't see our server again until we had finished our meal and our server had come by to check-in and clean up the plates. One of the eggs in my partners Salmon Benny had 4 egg shell pieces in it. One small piece of eggshell is understandable but 4?? One piece was the size of a dime. My partner was a trooper and worked around the unwanted bonus pieces. Somebody (not the server) came by the table and quickly dropped the bill at the table and said "Go pay the bill up front" as she was leaving. No hello. No how was your meal? Clearly she was in a rush. Our server made a token effort to make things right and gave us a 10% discount on the Salmon Benny. Whether we experienced a blip or a new trend we will not be returning to find out.

Breakfast restaurant
Floyd's Diner is a popular and somewhat hidden gem that may have a wait, but the experience is worth it. The retro decor with colorful booths and eclectic artworks creates a nostalgic atmosphere, accompanied by the sound of rock n roll. The friendly service and energetic staff contribute to the great vibe of the place. The 'double your pleasure' brunch dish offers generous portions at a reasonable price, although some patrons noted that their food wasn't served hot.
My friends and I ate here a few weeks ago. What a fun place. We had a great time with all the waitstaff, and we also enjoyed the music. The food was delicious too!

Visited Floyd's Diner today, it was fantastic. The servers are extremely friendly and personable. As for the food it was amazing, the portions are massive especially considering the price. and it tastes great. If I weren't from out of town I would visit here more often.

A group of us came in for brunch, on my sister's recommendation. Fabulous food, and our server was fun and engaging! Love the vibe of the restaurant too - kinda like a roadside dinner version of Sophie's Cosmic Cafe. Will definitely be back!

They are so cheap with their hollandaise sauce. I order take out from them to avoid the lines and eat it at home. EVERY single time they give me the smallest amount of hollandaise sauce and I ask for extra hollandaise sauce and still get 1/3 of a small container. But apparently it's their policy for take out to have only 1/3 of a sauce container full! The bottom is hollowed out. It's so ridiculous. It's the last time we are ordering from here! I get that you need to make a profit but wow.

Looking for a great brunch place found this place online and it was well recommended. It did not disappoint! Ceaser was fantastic, food was outstanding, both my wife and I were very happy, and we saw so many other things on the menu we wanna try, so we will definitely be back!

Some huuuuge portions and an overarching American style diner vibe. Very friendly service despite being crazy busy but food wasn’t memorable nor worth saving. A fun experience, and a boozy milkshake option I would want to try!

Restaurant
Green Leaf Vietnamese Bistro offers a variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes, including pho, lemongrass chicken, and banh xeo. The restaurant has a simple and inviting atmosphere with large windows. Customers have praised the deliciousness of the food during both dine-in and takeout experiences. Chicken-based dishes are highly recommended as the restaurant prepares them exceptionally well. The menu also includes options like spicy chicken pho, which can be requested even if not listed.
Very comfortable place to meet friends or have family gatherings. Food was great and the portions are big. Reasonable prices. Remember to register your license plate for 90 min free parking.

Simply awesome. I'm surprised that this restaurant offers more traditional Vietnamese dishes than Pho and Vermicelli. I especially enjoyed their Bo Kho. The beef had melt-in-mouth level of tenderness and was super flavourful. Their sausage summer rolls were super pretty and tasted fantastic as well. Surprisingly, the sausages were rather sweet. Definitely coming back for more.

Jaye P — Google review
Unfortunately, after coming back a couple of times, I have to update this review. The service and atmosphere are good, and even with the weird parking setup, everything else is fine. However, as you can see from these pictures, unless it’s Pho, the food is not as good as it used to be at their previous location or the downtown one. This fish had zero seasoning—not even salt—and the vegetables on the side were completely plain. I had to ask for fish sauce. What was supposed to be a sizzling dish looked and tasted like something that had been boiled with lots of garlic instead. On a prior visit, I noticed that instead of using vermicelli, they are now just using regular noodles. While this might seem like a minor change, it’s disappointing because we expect rice noodles with our dishes.
Carlos M — Google review
The food is great, with generous serving sizes and lots of different options to choose from. The service was optimal. Will come again.
Jose O — Google review
Food is decent but horrible service. We sat down and did not get served. We were the only ones there so it wasn't busy at all. After I politely signalled to the waiter, he said "I'll be right back" and did not come back for another 10 minutes until I called out to him again. Overall seemed like he was trying to make power moves to feel good about himself. He was very visibly upset when I gave a lower tip for the rude service.

Went late this afternoon for early dinner first time trying it; heard the one downtown was good so gave this a go! The building is old and really needs a major face lift but the food was totally amazing wife had the 37 crispy noodles with prawns and veggies I had the traditional chicken Vietnamese sub sandwich and it was delicious! Ordered the deep fried tofu and it was amazing fresh ginger and onion in a nice sauce. They make their own hot chili sauce; the service was good. They are closing this one and moving to Colwood corners. Would love to go back and try the many menu items food was fresh and delicious! A+

If you're on the hunt for authentic Vietnamese cuisine, look no further than Original Pho Eatery in Langford, BC. This charming eatery is celebrated for its rich and aromatic broths that are crafted with fresh ingredients, ensuring each bowl of pho is a delightful experience. Diners can indulge in a variety of dishes including savory spring rolls and flavorful vermicelli bowls. The atmosphere is inviting, making it perfect for both casual lunches and quick dinners.
Our usual restaurant wasn’t open so we tried a new place, Original Pho Eatery~ in Langford BC. The restaurant’s atmosphere was very inviting, with a nice decor, and comfortable seating. Our waitress was very friendly and immediately greeted us upon arrival. They have a very large gluten-free menu, with a large variety of different dishes that you can try. They don’t have a dedicated fryer, but there’s still a lot of selection, and the waitress was informed about gluten intolerance and cross-contamination. It’s always a fear when you go somewhere new to eat, that you may end up sick. As a celiac, I can say it is safe to eat here! Not only is it safe, the food felt very authentic and was delicious. The ingredients were fresh, and cooked with skill, no mushy veggies here. I’m not sure if I ate the food correctly, but I had a great meal! ;)

Our favorite place for Vietnamese! The Pho is fantastic, all the meat dishes are super tasty, especially the lemongrass chicken and the grilled pork! My favorite soup is the crab, very unique and delicious! They balance the flavors nicely, nothing too sweet or too salty, but still full of flavor. Definitely recommend!

Me and my boyfriend came here and it was our first time! Staff are so friendly, food is really good, atmosphere is nice. The service is quick and we got our food super fast and everything was delicious. We’ve been looking for a good pho 🍜 place since we moved to Vancouver island and this is definitely our new go to It’s a bit pricy but the quantity is large and very filling. I would say though after thinking about it the price is good for how much we ate! It was a bit loud but not so loud that we couldn’t talk or hear one another! Which is good 😊 We both left super full after sharing both the chicken pho, and the chicken lemongrass rice and fried tofu alongside the two smoothies I recommend Lychee and Banana 🍌

A hidden gem serving elevated Vietnamese street food with heart! The creamy snails, mango shrimp salad, and baby clams were bold, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The pho was exceptional — rich, aromatic broth with just the right heat and freshness in every spoonful. Warm, authentic atmosphere and standout service made the experience unforgettable. Refined, flavorful, and absolutely worth the visit — 10/10!

We always have a wonderful time when we eat here! The Vietnamese cuisine is top-notch – everything tastes incredibly fresh and delicious, and I especially love their diverse and flavorful vegan options. What really sets this place apart is the team; the staff are so friendly, attentive, and genuinely engaging, creating such a welcoming atmosphere. It's also excellent value for money, and you absolutely have to try their refreshing coconut juice drink!

The BEST Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam! We have been to various Vietnamese restaurants in BC and nowhere that we have found, compares to Original Pho! Fun & Games
Langford Lanes is the only 10-pin bowling alley in Greater Victoria, located at City Centre Park. It features 20 lanes, a fully licensed restaurant, banquet facilities, video arcade, snack bar, and a VIP bowling area for special events. The facility has state-of-the-art scoring equipment and high definition LCD screens. Customers can book parties online and enjoy perks like pizzas and pitchers of pop. The staff is friendly and efficient in providing bowling shoes.
An Outstanding Experience at Langford Lanes Bowling! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — super friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had a great time. The environment is clean, modern, and energetic. Bonus free parking. What really stood out was the food and drink menu — way beyond what you'd expect from a bowling alley. Great variety, delicious options, and very reasonably priced! Overall, Langford Lanes strikes the perfect balance between fun, comfort, and value. Whether you're a serious bowler or just out for a good time with friends, this place hits the mark. Make sure you book your lane in advance. Highly recommended!
Shubham D — Google review
We enjoyed the late night special on Mondays and Thursdays 9-11pm. They had these horrible strobe lights pointed right At where you were sitting. It was very distracting and frustrating. Perhaps you could explore pointing these down at the lanes? I ordered the taco salad, I wouldn’t recommend it. It was missing some sort of sauce like ranch.
Rosalee G — Google review
We had an awesome night bowling and Ramsay really made the experience even better! The food and drinks were great, and when we had an issue with the pins not resetting properly, he jumped on it right away and got it fixed super fast. He checked in with us a couple times just to make sure everything was good, which we really appreciated. Everything went smooth, and it really made a difference having someone so on top of things. Appreciate the solid service!

The staff were amazing and my dad and I had such a fun time bowling.
Margaret F — Google review
Came on the weekend with my family. The lane we were on kept having technical issues. It was okay because they were able to add some time for us. My biggest concern was how difficult it was to find a server either physically or via the bowling score app thing. Even after getting my orders it was super slow for the food and drinks to arrive. Our fries didn’t even arrive until we were done our bowling session 😅
Rena L — Google review
Had a great time, food was great, gluten and dairy free options. But when 8pm the lights were dimmed and there was flashing RGB lights directly at you and in your vision, it made me quite nauseous, there's no warning of flashing lights anywhere on the website
August S — Google review
While at the lanes last night an older man began threatening my female friend. I asked him to stop and then he came over and attacked me. Staff witnessed this event and so did security. THEY DID NOTHING. The man continued to bother us and all the staff offered was to talk to their supervisor and tell them this happened. If you are a young female thinking of coming here be weary. Staff and security will not help you if you are in danger! Thankfully no one was seriously hurt. Langford lanes do better.
Isabel A — Google review
Love this bowling alley! Great vibes and atmosphere! The service we received was OK for the most part (not exceptional since the staff member at the front counter didn’t know how much it cost to bowl for one hour, or how to combine regular bowling into the after 9pm deal, and booked us the wrong lane). However in the bar section Samantha was fantastic!! Friendly, confident and on the ball. She really made up for the lackluster service elsewhere in the facility. Give her a raise! She is going places that girl!

Great place to watch a soccer match. Plenty of places to grab a beer. You are close to the action, and there isn't a bad seat. Only complaints are they need to get more entrances or more people scanning tickets to big games, and they could sure use stands on the north side of the field. Langford, get it done!

Great place to see an outdoor concert but the seats were designed for miniature people. If you have someone sitting on both sides of you then you’re going to feel like you’re being squeezed.

Increasingly improved facility in Langford. More capacity for events while retaining a feel for most sports. Concessions consist of main food trucks, many of which are known in Victoria. Has some way to go with its development. Main downside is the distance from public transit.

It's a joke. Do not recommend going. Site is nice. Seats suck. Entry rules are a joke. Royal athletic and Starlight Stadium are the worst stadiums I have every walked into. Need to change the rules. Not everyone has a car to put thier smokes and vapes into.

Nice hike to the top of Mill Hill for a fantastic view of View Royal off the front and Langford/Mill Creek off the back. Not too steep, but steady incline to the top. Not treacherous but a great little workout. The whole thing took about 45 minutes. Lots of parking

I enjoyed the exercise as it was a beautiful day for a walk and some fresh air. The incline isn't too bad but there are so many loose rocks along the pathway. Stick to the sides, it's a bit easier that way. There are places to stop and enjoy the view along the journey to the summit. Beautiful views from many different angles, there is also a bench to sit on so you can catch your breath, from the walk and the view 😉😁. Highly recommended, I can see myself coming back and trying different trails on the way up. Definitely good exercise going up and down, walking poles helped me out too. I have horrible knees and wasn't too bad afterwards. Enjoy..

It’s a good, quick way to get in some outdoor cardio! Some parts would be ‘technical’ so while it’s short it’s not really a stroll, definitely a climb although not a crazy one. I’m pretty fit, hike a lot and found this a great way to get the heart rate up in my lunch hour!

A little over 20 minutes away from Victoria, this easy to find regional park is managed by the Capital Regional District (CRD). It is an extremely gorgeous place to relax or to hike, run, cycle, paddle board, etc…. The views are breathtaking. There is a small sandy beach area as well as many KM of well maintained and marked trails. The main trail is 4.5 KM loop around Upper and Lower Thetis Lake. Bear in mind there are many other trails around the lakes so you can plan for much longer hikes. I usually enjoy a 6.1 KM run making a number 6 shape loop arouuund and in between both lakes. The rules here are well enforced so no smoking, vaping, drinking alcohol, etc…. Pets are welcome and require a leash in certain areas. There are actually so many dog at Thetis Lake, I feel outcasted for not having one! Beware as there is currently a blue-green algae bloom advisory issued for Thetis Lake.

Adore this spot! It's a standout on my favorite list in Victoria. I frequent it in all seasons, day or night. Parking is hassle-free, with short or long-term options, and public transport is also available. There are various bathrooms and trails—some short, some long. Be mindful of the blue algae signs; however, it's ideal for walks, hikes, stand-up paddling, and fishing. The landscape, adorned with abundant trees and picturesque lake views, is a constant delight wherever you turn! This place holds a special spot on my Victoria favorites list, offering a serene escape that's hard to replicate. Whether wandering through the lush greenery or by the serene lake, each visit feels like a rejuvenating break surrounded by nature's beauty. The ease of parking, accessibility through public transport, and the assortment of washrooms and trails make it an all-encompassing destination for nature enthusiasts. The blue algae signs provide a prudent heads-up, ensuring everyone's safety during their visit. It's not just a location; it's a versatile experience—ideal for both leisurely activities and more adventurous pursuits. The natural scenery, defined by the plethora of trees and captivating lake views, adds enchantment to every moment spent here. Undoubtedly, this spot has rightfully earned its place as one of my cherished favorites in Victoria.
Spring R — Google review
Great location that’s acts as an attractive local lake that within Victoria. This park will provide you with plenty of trails, dog beach, accessible swimming and an absolute blast to paddle board as well. I would highly recommend checking this spot out if you not had the chance to visit here, I can’t think of a more accommodating lake within the city limits. There might be better spots for specific activities but nothing that compares to a best all around spot and there is typically no issues with parking unless it’s an extremely busy day at the park.

Had the worst experience with this place. First off the cashier made a mistake and took off my points when she was supposed to give me free Timbits and then to top it off, we open a box and see one that is half gone! The manager did nothing to solve the issue. Very rude and dismissive. Even trying to come up with excuses for his employee instead of fixing it. Might want to hire someone who knows how to handle customer complaints.
Kamelia D — Google review
Disappointing and Unprofessional Service Awful service. I waited the entire time for my order, and it never came. I was standing there the whole time when the cashier who helped me finally asked what I was still waiting for. I answered my order never arrived, she didn’t communicate anything to me she just continued what she was currently doing… Moments later, I ended up asking another staff member who was giving order to another customer, and she said she’d check and that it was “coming.” Meanwhile, other customers were receiving their order while I continued to wait. Eventually, a different staff member came over, asked me to repeat my order, and then told me that next time I shouldn’t leave my spot because someone else took my food. The staff were handing over the order to the customers, none of it were placed in the counter for customer to accidentally grab someone else’s order. First of all, I never left or went anywhere — I was standing there the entire time, watching everyone else get served. I was shocked that staff member assumed I was not waiting and blamed me for it. Completely unacceptable experience. I will never visit or recommend this location to anyone.

Guy @counter said "no more croissants after 11am", but I was able to order a brkfst sandwich on a pinched croissant still @12:30pm. Ordered hashbrown also, & they didn't give it to me. When I asked, he said "they put it inside small sandwich bag". They did not. Then, left to maybe deal with? Another guy came by & I told him, he also asked if they put it inside sandwich bag, then had to almost touch my sandwich to see. Finally got me my hashbrown. Also, washrooms closed.
Mandy B — Google review
Very friendly staff but it really is annoying when you order hot food over an hour before the store closes and you can't have it because "we've shut our ovens down, so all we can offer is sandwiches". Not sure if that's normal, but if your menu is lit up offering hot food, then you you should be able to provide it at least until 30 mins before you close which I believe is reasonable. Not happy with this outcome, even though the sandwiches were still good. Edit: if you're the owner responding to my post, don't just copy and paste a generic apology with a link to a general complaints website. Respond on here for everyone to see, customers like transparency.

The food here is delicious, but I wish the sweetness level could be adjusted, and the staff forgot my order, so I had to ask for it to come back. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is good, but the staff needs to improve a bit.

The customer service at this location is very unprofessional. I ordered through the drive-thru and received a black coffee with sugar, even though I didn’t ask for it. When I went inside to get it fixed, a girl who was making food came up to me and asked if I was waiting for something, but then walked away while I was still talking. I found that really rude. I’ve been here before, and some of the workers don’t seem very friendly. I just wanted to share my unpleasant experience.

Restaurant
Milestones is a contemporary dining chain that offers a delightful twist on traditional bar and grill fare, making it an ideal spot for various occasions. Whether you're celebrating a special event or simply enjoying dinner with family, Milestones provides a welcoming atmosphere with friendly service. Guests have praised the restaurant for its unique Bellinis and diverse menu options, which cater to both seafood enthusiasts and meat lovers alike. During one visit, diners appreciated the prompt service and were charmed by the cute presentation of their drinks.
Yesterday, my lovely wife and I ate at the Milestones in Victoria’s Harbour, and the meal was decent enough that we decided we would try another Milestones today. This Milestones completely blew yesterday’s outta the water. We did try different dishes but the quality and flavour of today’s food was incomparable! Not sure if today is an anomaly and today’s chef is just ‘firing on all cylinders’ or if this chef’s food is always like this but to quote George Takei, “Oh, myyyyy”!!!!! The service was fantastic, and the food and the flavours were “on pointe”!!!! We ordered the Seafood chowder as an appetizer and chowder did not accurately describe this dish today. It was more like a hot seafood salad with some soup sprinkled in to provide that yummy comfort one finds in home-made meals. We also ordered the spinach-artichoke dip and it too was great. Even though it was a tiny bit salty for my liking, still one of the best I’ve had for a while. For entrees, we chose the Blackened Chicken Tagliarini and the 16oz Rib-eye. The pasta was surprisingly flavourful and al-dente. The sauce was complex in flavours and the fresh diced tomato added a touch of freshness that complemented the pasta well. The charred chilli-lime butter was fresh and cut through any heavy flavours you might find in the sauce. Divine! The steak…what can I say about the steak…let me put it to you this way…Both my wife and I agree that it was the best steak we’ve had in years. It was cooked to perfection - Medium-rare - and tender!!! I mean melt-in-your-mouth tender!!! This rivalled, no, beat any steak we’ve had at Cactus Club, The Keg, and even other “finer” restaurants. In short, we left extremely satisfied, not just because of the size of the meals but because this was simply the best tasting meal we’ve had this trip. We’re coming back here next time we’re in the area for sure! For dessert we had the Apple Cobbler. London told us it is the best of the offerings and it was not a lie. Definitely good!!! Our server, London was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful! Tonight’s Chef’s name is Manny. Our very, very thankful compliments to both! I hope your experience is as good as ours.

I honestly can say, this was one of the best steaks I ever had!! Their peppercorn sauce was to die for. (I wanted to swim in it lol 🤣) Vegetable was also cooked just right. Burger with bacon jam was also delish❤️ their Parmesan fries were fabulous 😍 Coconut squid was good as well. Our suggestion is to dip in their sauce, then dip in their crunchy coconut 😁 Warm apple cobbler was so yummy 😋 I was surprised we could stand up after all these foodl lol 🤣 Service was great as well. I especially liked when the server was peaking from the distance to see if I was done with the food to time the service. Everything was great🥰

My mom and I were on an overnight trip and decided to come here for dinner. There was no wait, the waitress was friendly and moderately attentive and food and drinks took a reasonable amount of time. I got a classic, bellini. It was as expected but came with a little giraffe which I found cute. I opted for a variety of appetizers not thinking how big the portions would be! Unfortunately the chips for the spinach artichoke dip were rancid. The waitress kindly offered to remove it from our bill. The meatball appetizer was absolutely fantastic. I'm always on the hunt for great meatballs and these did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful and the sauce was fresh, vibrant and well balanced. The bread served with the meatballs was also tasty. I also got the chili chicken which was also quite good. I enjoyed that it was served with cucumber. But nothing beat the meatballs for me. Highly recommend!

I always enjoy the food and service from Milestones Langford. We went for dinner to celebrate my daughter’s pre-school graduation, Maya was very friendly and patient with my daughter. Date-night menu is great, multiple options for seafood and meat lover. Love the variety ingredients for my prawn dish.

We scheduled a small dinner to celebrate our sons wedding at Milestones. We had investigated several other venues in the Victoria area and chose Milestones in Langford. We were able to get a semi private area which was excellent since we were a small party of 14. We chose Milestones due to its location with easy parking, but particularly because the managers, Genaro and Mohan we dealt with were particularly approachable and accomodating. We had a three couse set menu with options for each course. Both the food and the service were very good. The area was very suitable for a party of our size, with a quiet noise level.

What a fantastic experience!! We visited the millstream location this evening for a 65th birthday celebration. The food was amazing for the whole group. The atmosphere and ambiance was lovely. Service was too notch. Our server Faith was super attentive, knowledgable, and very professional. Super friendly and cheerful. The Manager was wonderful too. He really took time out to chat with the two young boys at our table and make sure their food was good. Even came and brought them ice cream. Was the best experience we have had in a long time. We are looking forward to our next dinner out, and it will be here. Thanks again!!

Pizza restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience, look no further than 900 Degrees Wood-Fired Pizzeria. This contemporary eatery specializes in Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. With an extensive menu featuring thin-crust pies topped with options like white sauce, pesto, and classic red sauce, there's something for everyone. The cozy and lively atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for families and friends alike.
We needed a non-fast food place that offers vegan options for lunch before heading to the ferry. This seems to be the only place outside of downtown Victoria around Langford with the perfect setup: organic sour dough pizza, organic sauce, organic vegetable, fresh everything, and vegan cheese! I was so happy to see that we can skip the garlic on the pizza because garlic is a separate item added on top of the pizza, the tomato sauce does not contain garlic. Yay! 900 Degrees is not just the name, it is the oven temperature. For our vegan pizza, we ordered Rossa, with organic tomato sauce, vegan cheese, asparagus, zucchini, bell peppers, onions, no garlic, chipotle flakes, with a pile of arugula on top, finished for fig balsamic reduction. Cooked at 900 degrees, it arrive fairly quickly. Dear Adrian Ortiz-Mena, thank you for this, it was DELICIOUS! We will definitely eat here again next time we visit Victoria! Oh, the bonus is – they have the cleanest washroom we've seen in Victoria.

Love their meatballs and garlic bread, not too much herbs in the meatballs👍🏻The quality of their pizza is good too, light and crispy crust, balanced toppings, love the fact that cheese is not burnt. Honey lemon iced tea is quite refreshing. Wish there would be some seafood spaghetti though.

Great for take out on our first night on the island! I think you could say the pizza was Neapolitan - or at least thin crust. The meatballs were fully fennel filled. The veggies were a delicious choice to round out the meal.

The moment we entered the place we could feel the Italian vibe starting with the paintings on the wall and the golden brick oven right in the front. The service at the place was impressive. Our server was knowledgeable as well as funny. The food was great and my family enjoyed it alot. Would definitely recommend it and would say it's probably the best pizzeria in the city of Langford

Fantastic local wood-fired pizzeria. Our server was very kind and friendly. Regular pizza was phenomenal and also love the gluten-free options (there’s even a separate menu)! Homemade chili oil has lots of flavour and would recommend adding it to your pizza.

This pizza is AMAZING! We have been twice now. The first time I had the mushroom pizza and it was very yummy. The second time I had the pear pizza and I am in love with that one. The crust is absolutely yummy!

Good quality clearly, however the portions are smaller and the crust is thin I got the Rossa but maybe other pizzas are thicker Awesome that they use organic ingredients and price is fairly fair

Lovely, surprisingly little authentic Italian restaurant. The pizzas are great and I'm looking forward to going back for a sit down meal.
