Gandhi Maidan is a massive, historically significant open-air ground in the heart of patna, known for hosting political rallies, public assemblies, and cultural events like the famous Book Fair and Dussehra celebrations. While lauded for its central location and as a vital space for locals to exercise, jog, and relax, visitors often note its poor maintenance, litter, and the need for better upkeep to match its historic importance. making it a cultural landmark alongside its political legacy.
Vishal V — Google review
Gandhi Maidan is far more than just a public park; it is the historical and social nucleus of Patna. Spanning 60 acres, this massive ground has witnessed pivotal moments, from being the launching point for the Quit India and Champaran Movements to hosting speeches by leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Today, it remains the primary venue for cultural and political gatherings, including the Republic Day flag-hoisting and grand festivals like Ravan Dahan. Despite the surrounding city hustle, the Maidan serves as a vital green lung for morning walkers and fitness enthusiasts. While current election activities sometimes restrict public access, its iconic statue and immense scale cement its status as a must-visit landmark, capturing Bihar's enduring spirit.

Gandhi Maidan, Patna – The Heart of the City ❤️ 💜 Gandhi Maidan is undeniably the beating heart of Patna, a vibrant hub that combines history, culture, and community in the most captivating way. Spanning across a vast area, this iconic landmark is more than just a park; it is a symbol of Patna's spirit and legacy. The moment you step into Gandhi Maidan, you are greeted by its lush greenery and the awe-inspiring statue of Mahatma Gandhi, which stands as a reminder of the rich historical and cultural significance of the place. The area is impeccably maintained, offering a serene environment amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether it’s the early morning joggers, yoga enthusiasts, or families enjoying their evenings, the energy here is infectious. Gandhi Maidan has also been the stage for countless events, from grand political rallies to cultural programs, food festivals, and book fairs, making it a versatile venue that caters to everyone. What sets Gandhi Maidan apart is its ability to bring people together. It serves as a melting pot where tradition meets modernity, with youngsters playing cricket on one side while elders reminisce about the city's glorious past on the other. The nearby food stalls offer a delightful taste of local cuisine, adding to the overall experience. In a city rich in history, Gandhi Maidan stands out as a cherished space that resonates with pride and unity. It truly is the heart of Patna, and a visit here leaves you feeling connected to the city's essence. If you’re in Patna, don’t miss the chance to soak in the charm of Gandhi Maidan—it’s an experience that stays with you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommended!
Santosh S — Google review
I visited Gandhi Maidan recently when a handcrafted fair was happening. The event itself was nice, but the condition of the field wasn’t great. The soil was extremely dry, and dust was constantly flying in the air, making it uncomfortable to walk around. I feel the government should invest in maintaining the ground better, maybe by planting grass to reduce the dust issue. It’s a historic and important place in Patna, but it needs better upkeep.

Golghar, a stupa-style granary completed in 1786, is a prominent tourist attraction in Patna. Although climbing the 145 stairs to the top for city views may be restricted currently, it remains a popular spot for picnics and hosts sound and light shows from Tuesday to Sunday. Originally built as a storehouse, Golghar now stands as a recreational site drawing both local and international visitors annually.
It is a peaceful historical place, there is also a park here, people often come here in the evening to listen to the chirping of birds. You must visit here, it is huge and can be seen closely.

Visitors can climb the spiral staircase, which has 145 steps, to enjoy breathtaking views of the Ganga River and Patna city. Though never used for its intended purpose due to a design flaw, Gol Ghar remains a fascinating historical landmark.Golghar, an enormous granary, was built by Captain John Garstin for British army in 1786, after the terrible impact of 1770 famine. The winding stairway around this monument offers a brilliant view of the city and the Ganga flowing nearby. It is pillar-less with a wall of thickness of 3.6 m at the base height of 29 m..The Golghar or Gol Ghar, is a large granary located to the west of the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, capital city of Bihar state, India.
Santosh P — Google review
Golghar is a pre-historic tallest building of Bihar but in present times, buildings much taller than Golghar have been built in Patna but Golghar is no longer like it was before, you can only visit a small park
Manish K — Google review
Not much of a monument but a place to chill . Often less crowded , good for individuals, couples ,who want to spend time alone. Maximum half an hour is required to fully explore it.
Mohammad R — Google review
The Golghar, meaning "Round House," is a monumental granary located in Patna, Bihar. It was commissioned by the then Governor-General Warren Hastings and constructed by the British engineer Captain John Garstin, with completion in 1786. Its primary purpose was a humanitarian measure: to act as a massive storehouse for grains to prevent the widespread starvation witnessed during the devastating Bengal Famine of 1770. Architecturally, the Golghar is a magnificent, beehive-shaped dome, rising 29 meters high. It is notable for its pillar-less design and massive walls, nearly 3.6 meters thick at the base, which maximized internal storage space. The structure's design was inspired by the ancient Buddhist Stupa style, creating a striking historical silhouette against the modern cityscape. The most distinctive feature is the twin spiral staircase wrapped around its exterior, comprising 145 steps. This ingenious design was meant to allow workers to ascend with grain sacks on one side and descend on the other without obstruction. Ironically, a rumored design flaw, the doors opening inwards, meant the granary was never filled to its intended capacity of 140,000 tons. Today, the Golghar functions as a prime tourist attraction, no longer serving its original utilitarian purpose. The climb, while lengthy, is worth the effort, rewarding visitors with a breathtaking panoramic view of Patna and the flowing Ganga River, making it an iconic spot for photography. Ultimately, the Golghar stands as a potent symbol: a testament to colonial-era engineering and a solemn reminder of the famine it was built to combat. It is an unmissable landmark that beautifully merges historical context with striking architecture, anchoring the heritage of the city.
Rizwan U — Google review
Golghar in Patna was quite disappointing and didn’t live up to the hype. The structure itself is historically interesting, but the maintenance is very poor. The area around it is unclean, with litter scattered and little effort made to preserve the site’s heritage value. The inside of the monument is closed to visitors, so there’s not much to actually experience except walking around the dome. The viewpoints that were once popular are no longer accessible, and the surrounding gardens are neglected and poorly kept. Overall, Golghar feels more like a forgotten monument than a tourist attraction. With better upkeep, lighting, and informative signage, it could be a beautiful historical spot, but in its current state, it’s not worth a special visit.

Vishal Mega Mart provides good service, and the staff is generally helpful. However, there are some drawbacks. The "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" items are not sold individually, which can be inconvenient for customers who need only one. Additionally, many products do not have proper price tags, making it difficult to check prices before purchasing. Improving these aspects would enhance the shopping experience.

I am very disappointed with the behavior of the staff at Vishal Mega Mart in Patna. Yesterday, I bought undergarments in different sizes, but they did not allow me to try them on. When I asked for an exchange because the size didn’t fit, a lady informed me that exchanges were possible. However, when I returned to exchange the items, I was told that undergarments are not returnable. I reminded the lady that she had previously told me I could exchange them, but she became uncooperative. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of consistency and customer service. Now, I am left with items that do not fit me, and I have no idea what to do with them. I will never return to Vishal Mega Mart again. i have No idea what to do with them. I will never return to Vishal Mega Mart again.

Park
Buddha Smriti Park, also known as Buddha Memorial Park, is a serene urban oasis in Bihar. This 22-acre park was developed to celebrate the 2554th Birth Anniversary of Lord Buddha and features a modern Buddhist museum, meditation hall, bodhi trees, and a large stupa at its center.
A very pleasant park located right next to Patna Railway Station. It closes by 7 PM, and the entry fee is just ₹20. Ideal for those looking to spend some time in a green, peaceful environment before catching a train. A great spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts alike.
Manjunath V — Google review
Buddha Smriti Park in Patna is a beautifully maintained urban retreat that perfectly blends serenity with architectural elegance. The lush garden landscape is immaculately designed, offering peaceful walking paths, manicured lawns, and shaded areas ideal for quiet reflection. The main monument — the grand stupa — stands as an impressive centerpiece, symbolizing calm and devotion with its striking dome structure visible from afar. However, once inside the stupa, there isn’t much to explore apart from the single Buddha statue installed within the dome. The simplicity, while spiritually appealing, may feel a bit underwhelming for visitors expecting more activity or exhibits. On the brighter side, the park also houses a well-curated library and museum that offer deeper insight into Buddhist teachings and history, making the visit more enriching for those interested in the cultural aspect. Overall, Buddha Smriti Park is worth visiting for its serene environment, beautiful landscaping, and architectural charm, though it’s more suited for a short, peaceful visit than a day of exploration.

Nice Meditation Centre near New Patna Junction The centre is surrounded by greenery, making it a peaceful and calming place for meditation. However, the management needs to improve its upkeep. The cleanliness isn't as good as it used to be. With better maintenance, this place could truly be a gem for those seeking peace and relaxation.
Vivek — Google review
Buddha Smriti Park is a beautifully designed urban oasis located in the heart of Patna, right next to the Patna Junction railway station. Built in honor of Lord Buddha and inaugurated by the Dalai Lama, the park is a peaceful, spiritual, and cultural space that stands out amidst the city's chaos. The highlight of the park is the majestic Central Stupa, which houses sacred relics of Lord Buddha brought from several countries including Japan, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The architecture is minimalist yet powerful, creating a tranquil atmosphere perfect for meditation and reflection. There’s also a well-maintained meditation center that offers a calm retreat from the busy surroundings. The park is clean, spacious, and well-landscaped with green lawns, walking paths, fountains, and symbolic Buddhist sculptures. It's ideal for a morning or evening walk, or just sitting quietly amidst nature. There’s a small museum and gallery inside that showcases the life and teachings of Buddha, adding educational value to the visit. Entry is very affordable, and security is good. It’s a great place for families, tourists, and even solo visitors interested in history, spirituality, or just looking for a quiet place to relax. However, do note that photography inside certain areas (like the stupa) may be restricted. Overall, Buddha Smriti Park is a must-visit attraction in Patna — clean, serene, and culturally rich. It offers a refreshing break from the city’s traffic and noise, and leaves you with a sense of peace and reflection.

The cuisine at Ruchi Specility was enjoyable, and the atmosphere was also pleasing. The employees displayed remarkable manners and were observant. Overall, the customer service provided was satisfactory. Although slightly pricey, it is a pleasant and comfortable establishment to frequent occasionally for socializing.
The hong kong chicken, schzewan fish and the chicken dumplings were great for the starters. I repeated the order a couple of times it was that amazing. For the main course, non-vegetarian salad was unique with fried rice, nooodles and paneer chilli being good. The chicken and fish items were equally great. For desserts, there was pound cake, an ice cream and lemon mousse. Our server Parvin kept checking on us regularly and he was very polite. Overall it was a great experience for the price paid and definitely coming back!

However, it has now expanded to include a fully air-conditioned dining hall for customers who prefer to dine in. The menu is available in the location photos, and the cost of each dish is reasonable. The food is considered good for its price, making it an ideal choice for budget-conscious diners.
Food is quite good considering the price💵💰. It's quite good place if you are looking for a budget eatery. Recommended 🔥👍

This place is very good if your budget is low. Easily 4 persons have a food for 700/-. Overall good.

I have seen this restaurant when there was only facility of Delivery, take out food and few standing tables to eat outside the restaurant only. But now it have grew too much and also expanded their area. Now customers can Dine in there in fully Air Conditioned hall. Also, food take out facility and home delivery retains. You can find restuarant Menu in this location photos. The cost of each dish is quite reasonable. Quality and quantity of dish is good enough. Staffs are gentle and cooking time is also fast. You will not have to wait enough for your call.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Alina Resort, and it was truly a delightful experience. The ambience is one of the first things that stood out—calm, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The natural surroundings combined with tasteful decor create a soothing and upscale vibe. The starters were absolutely delicious! Fresh, well-seasoned, and served promptly—each bite set the tone for a great dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the [mention a specific starter if you want], which was both flavorful and presented beautifully. The staff was courteous and attentive, always around when needed but never intrusive. Hall was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities for a cozy stay. The pool area and outdoor spaces were also well-kept, offering great spots to unwind. Overall, Alina Resort strikes a perfect balance between luxury and comfort.

Hotel The Panache is a relaxed establishment that offers various amenities such as a restaurant, a 24-hour cafe, and a spa. Additionally, guests can enjoy complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi services. The hotel's prime location opposite Gandhi maidan gives it an advantage. While the rooms are satisfactory and the service is prompt and excellent, it would be advantageous for the property to have more rooms with street views and an activity room equipped with indoor games.

Park
Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, also known as Patna Zoo, is a sprawling zoological park and gardens that opened to the public in 1973. Spanning across a vast expanse of 153 hectares, it is home to over 800 animals from more than 110 species, including rare and endangered ones like the Royal Bengal tiger, chimpanzees, hippopotamus, giraffe, rhinoceros, zebra, crocodile, gharial and leopard.
I visited this place during the summer season but the best time to visit during the winter season. We enjoyed it a lot and got to Chance to see many animals like Black Panther, Giraffe, Zebra, White tiger, white peacock, Chimpanzee, Elephant, Fish aquarium and many more. It's the best place to visit on weekdays because it was less crowded. So overall a great experience.

Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, commonly known as Patna Zoo, is one of the most popular and well-maintained attractions in Patna. Spread across a large, lush green area, it offers a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The zoo is home to a wide variety of animals, birds, and reptiles, including tigers, lions, elephants, leopards, crocodiles, deer, and several species of exotic birds. It's a great place for children and nature lovers alike. The layout of the park is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with walking paths, shaded seating areas, and clear signboards. There’s also a boating lake inside the park, which adds to the overall experience and offers a fun break during the visit. The botanical section has a good collection of trees and plants, making it both a zoological and botanical garden. Entry tickets are reasonably priced, and the park is usually clean and well-kept. It can get crowded during weekends and holidays, so weekdays are better if you prefer a quieter visit. The battery-operated carts are a convenient option for those who may have difficulty walking long distances. The park management has taken good steps toward animal welfare and conservation education, with information boards and awareness efforts throughout. There are basic refreshment stalls and restrooms, though these could be better maintained. Overall, Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park is a must-visit if you're in Patna — perfect for families, school trips, or anyone looking to enjoy nature and wildlife in a relaxed setting.

Visited Sanjay Gandhi Zoological Park (Patna Zoo) with my kids, and we all had a lovely time! The place is full of greenery, well-maintained walking paths, and a good variety of animals and birds. My kids really enjoyed watching the tigers ,snakes,Bear etc the toy train ride not functional We went on 6th October — technically winter hasn’t started yet 😄 — but still, the zoo followed winter timing and closed at 4:30 PM instead of 5:30 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. The boating area and shaded sitting spots are nice for a short break. Overall, it’s a refreshing place for families and kids to spend a few peaceful hours in nature. A bit of improvement in food stalls and some enclosures would make it even better. 🌳🦓🐅

Tourist Review: Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, Patna By: A Visitor Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, popularly known as Patna Zoo, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Patna, Bihar. Established in 1973, it serves as a green oasis in the heart of the city, spread across more than 150 acres. It’s not just a zoo—it’s a perfect blend of wildlife conservation, nature education, and recreational space for families, students, and nature lovers. The zoo houses a wide variety of animals including tigers, leopards, elephants, zebras, hippos, and several species of deer, reptiles, and birds. The enclosures are well-maintained, and most animals seem healthy and active. What makes this place unique is the large botanical garden within the premises, featuring a rich diversity of trees and medicinal plants, which adds to the eco-friendly appeal. One of the major attractions is the toy train that offers a fun ride around the park, especially for children. There's also a boating facility in the large lake inside the park, making it a relaxing spot for couples and families. Walking tracks and shaded resting areas make it a comfortable visit, even on warmer days. The zoo also has an education center that promotes awareness about wildlife conservation, making it an ideal destination for school field trips and curious minds. Highlights: Well-maintained zoo with a wide range of animals Beautiful landscapes, lake, and green zones Toy train and boating available Great place for families and photography Entry fee is affordable and value for money Tips for Visitors: Visit in the morning or late afternoon to avoid heat Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking Carry water, though facilities are available inside Overall Experience: A visit to Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park is refreshing, educational, and enjoyable for people of all age groups. A Refreshing Escape into Nature at Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan, Patna Nestled on Bailey Road in the heart of bustling Patna, Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan—affectionately known as Patna Zoo—stands as a verdant oasis spanning over 150 acres. Established in 1973, this sprawling biological park effortlessly blends botanical splendor with zoological wonders, making it an absolute must-visit for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone craving a break from urban chaos. From the moment you step through the gates (open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with entry fees starting at just ₹50), you're enveloped in a symphony of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the distant roars of majestic beasts. What truly sets this park apart is its diverse array of attractions. Home to over 800 animals from 110 species, including majestic tigers, graceful giraffes, playful zebras, and the rare Indian rhinoceros, the enclosures are thoughtfully designed to mimic natural habitats, promoting conservation and ethical wildlife viewing. Don't miss the Snake House (Saap Ghar) with its mesmerizing pythons and cobras, or the vibrant Fish Aquarium (Machhali Ghar) teeming with exotic aquatic life. For a touch of whimsy, hop aboard the toy train that chugs through lush gardens, offering panoramic views of Himalayan black bears and blackbucks. Boating on the serene lake and elephant rides add that extra thrill, while the Butterfly Park flutters with iridescent wings, educating visitors on biodiversity. Beyond the animals, the botanical gardens boast over 300 species of trees, herbs, and shrubs, creating shaded picnic spots perfect for lazy afternoons. It's not just entertainment; it's an educational gem—ideal for school trips where kids can learn about Gangetic Plains ecology up close. The park's commitment to captive breeding and rehabilitation shines through, fostering a deeper appreciation for India's wildlife heritage. My recent visit left me rejuvenated; the fresh air, well-maintained paths, and friendly staff made it a seamless day out. Despite occasional crowds on weekends, early mornings offer a peaceful vibe with cooler breezes. Whether you're a local rediscovering Patna's green lung or a traveler seeking authentic charm, Sanjay Gandhi Jaivik Udyan delivers joy in spades. Highly recommended—5 stars for this timeless treasure!

I recently visited the Bihar Museum, and it was such a great experience! It’s one of the best places in Patna where you can see India’s rich history all in one spot. The museum is super clean, well-organized, and full of amazing historical collections. Even if you’re not interested in history, trust me — after visiting here, you’ll definitely start liking it! 😄 Tip for students: Don’t forget to carry your original school or college ID card — you’ll get 50% off on the ticket. 🎟️ And if you really want to enjoy and explore everything properly, plan to spend the whole day here. Totally worth it! 👌

A Must-Visit, Well-Organized Glimpse into Bihar's Rich History** The Bihar Museum is an absolute gem and a fantastic place to understand the state's glorious past. It is incredibly clean, spacious, and very well-organized, making the visit comfortable and educational. The collection is superb, beautifully showcasing the history of Bihar from ancient to modern times. It's a perfect destination for a family outing or a trip with friends. The entry ticket is very reasonably priced at ₹100 per adult (for Indian citizens). A very important thing to note for planning your visit: the main history galleries start closing after 5:00 PM. Only the children's section remains open until 7:00 PM. So, make sure you arrive with plenty of time to see the main exhibits. I highly recommend catching the 4:00 PM show (they also have shows at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, I believe), which is very well-made and engaging. For food, there is a restaurant on-site with a menu book. The food is good, but be prepared as it is somewhat expensive. Before you leave, don't forget to check out the museum shop, which has a lovely collection of handmade items and souvenirs that you can purchase. Overall, it's an excellent and highly recommended experience, definitely worth a visit.

What an amazing experience at Bihar museum. The new Bihar museum really showcases what all Bihar has to offer . It was a perspective changing experience . I always knew Bihar has lot to offer but to display everything in so much detail was really great to see . Ticket prices are also reasonable. I would suggest everyone to visit once to have this amazing experience of Bihar’s rich history. I was there for 2 hours and it was really not sufficient to read about everything . So just a suggestion to keep some time in hand while visiting there. Thank you .

The museum remains closed on Monday. A very good museum entry fee is 100for adults and rs 50 for children, don't forget to see 10 minutes show at theatre . This museum closes at 5 pm however children section closes at 7 pm so while entering at museum take left turn and see the museum gallery, thereafter if time permits than go to children gallery at right side. It takes more than two hours to roam around entire gallery so visit with enough time in-hand a must see place for all.

Nestled in the heart of Patna, Bihar, "NIRVANA The Fine Dine" is a delightful vegetarian restaurant that invites you to indulge in a diverse array of multicuisine dishes. With its cozy and relaxed atmosphere, it serves up an enticing menu featuring everything from Chinese and Mughlai to North Indian specialties and flavorful biryanis.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Nirvana Fine Dine in Patna with my mom, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The ambiance is truly inviting, with a warm and cozy atmosphere that sets the perfect mood for a relaxed meal. We tried the Manchow soup, baby corn chili, chicken chili, and chow mein. Each dish was a treat for the taste buds—well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The flavors were rich and authentic, making every bite a pleasure. What stood out even more was the staff's exceptional service; they were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Their cooperative nature and prompt service added to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for a place in Patna to enjoy quality food with great service, Nirvana Fine Dine is highly recommended.

This restaurant is on the second floor, the stairs or the lift to the restaurant is in the backside of the building in which it is located. I used the stairs and it felt shady to me. The restaurant is located on the boring canal road and is located in the building adjacent to the Jyotipunj Hospital. The ambience and atmosphere at this restaurant is very good. It's nicely decorated. The food was not up to the mark, especially the starter I ordered which was tangdi kebab, they served chicken pieces almost burnt in tandoor wrapped in egg omelette, which tasted awful and it was so bad that we couldn't eat it. Even though I had enquired about the dish before hand with the server but he didn't provide the details about this dish. Other main course items like punjabi chicken curry and rice were ok in taste.

Visit once ! The restaurant boasts ample parking, ensuring a hassle-free arrival for guests. While the food was enjoyable overall, the dining experience was unfortunately marred by inconsistent service. Some diners reported encountering staff who were less than welcoming, particularly when a gratuity was not provided. This discrepancy in service could potentially detract from future visits. Despite this, the restaurant remains a viable option for those seeking a satisfying meal. Patrons are encouraged to take these observations into consideration when planning their next dining experience.

We visited this place after a long time for a friend's reunion and ordered Tandoori Roti, Chicken Do Pyaza, Chicken Dehati, Lachcha Paratha, and Chicken Lollipop. I must say, their manager didn't know how to handle orders and didn't even know what the Do Pyaza dish looks like. Hilarious! 😂 When I asked him about the dish that I received at my table, the manager told me that he is vegetarian. Seriously? The Lachcha Paratha didn't look like Lachcha Paratha at all; you couldn't differentiate between Lachcha Paratha and Tandoori Roti. Also, when we asked them what material would be used for Tandoori Roti, they told us it would be wheat flour (aata), but it was made from maida. I used to admire this place and recommended it to many of my friends and family. But now, I can say that this is not the Nirwana I used to visit for a fine dining experience with quality food.

The food was great with amazing pricing, the atmosphere was quiet and calming. And the staff were co-operative. Highly recommend to other fellow students for a get-together.

Undoubtedly I had an amazing experience. Had different cuisines . Honestly everything was upto the mark except that pasta I ordered. That's was really not good. Nonetheless, Chicken fried momos were just heavenly delicious, along with potato fries , and ice cream. Do visit the place once .

Food is great and freshly cook, presentation is also good. When food is good price does not matter that much. The Ambience is very unique is patna, Staff behavior are also very good. My only rant to this place is please don't seat near the wall Mirror otherwise you may have to endure random people coming and grooming there hair near your food.( Depending on the social etiquette of the person I guess)

The boring cafe was not at all boring 😀 The food was delicious, the cafe is small but beautiful, service was quick. You can use your Zomato pro subscription to pay as well. Overall it's worth your time and money.

Ambience 4/5 Food Taste 3.5/5 Food Portion 2.5/5 Food Presentation 3.5/5 Service 4/5 Good place for a date or casual meet (max 2 people). Not good for celebrations. Staff was courteous & polite. Ambience was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary. It has games like Jenga & Tick Tack Toe to pass time. Food is what disappointed the most. Tiny portions & average taste. Chicken Burger tasted bland. Cheesy fries had little to no cheese. Dry Manchurian was the size of tiny marbles (although the taste was good). Pasta was also okay but the garlic bread was soggy & tasteless. Couldn't complain too much as it was my birthday & I didn't want spoil the vibe. But honestly, I was let down. Had high hopes because of the online Google & Zomato reviews. Sad to see that this is considered one of the best cafes in Boring Road (as per reviews). P.S. Forgot to mention: Had to pay almost double the MRP for the water bottles & the excuse given was that "it comes with service charge added". Now as far as I know, service charge is voluntary & not compulsory or forced. Smh.

The Boring Cafe , an amalgamation of Indian cuisine and western counterparts. The cafe will definitely try to kill your boredom with its argent ambience. Their menu is designed to fullfill the cravings of all the age group. Teenagers , adults and even old age people can definitely find something in their menu which can sure satisfy their taste buds. Even you can order Dal , Chawal and Paratha which is pretty good. However , we personally think that their pricing is on the higher side which justify the quality they offers. Now coming to the food , we tried their 1. Garden Spl Veg Pizza (₹259) - Topped with several veggies , this cheesy pizza is enough to sooth your taste buds. The veg lovers will definitely love this. (Non-Veg walon apna dekh lena 😜) 2. Tiramisu (₹139) - This was the highlight of that evening. Chocolate lovers just give it a try on our request. All that chocolaty flavour will melt your heart. 😉 3. Cold Coffee (₹149) - The best Cold Coffee we had tried in recent times. 4. Chinese Sizzler (₹389) - It's something new that will be added soon on their menu. Its a combo dish which includes rice , chicken , veggies and some french fries. For us Chicken was the highlight but if you love different types of veggies with your meal you can definitely go ahead with this. (Iske saath ek drink order krlo and your meal will be done)

On 1st of January, for New Year Celebration, I had been to Pukhtaan with my family for lunch. I would like to thank the waiter named as Deva who served us very well & for the quick service. We had sichuan lollipop, chicken biryani, mutton dum biryani. The food was good & very tasty. They also gave us complimentary paapads. The ambiance is good for family & friends. Also want to thank the receptionist Janki for her courtesy

The decor is nice. The ambience is pleasant. The buffet menu is decent at best. The starters are way better than the main course. The mutton was kind of sweet which i dislike. The chicken biryani was flavourless. They generally serve the buffet on the table which is kind of disappointing
UTKARSH S — Google review
Total waste of money. Taste of starter is good but taste of main course is below average....they don't even serve RO water...you have to buy water-bottle which is way to expensive. I visited here for birthday treat but got to say this...this place is total waste. Service is very slow and bad. Waiter even don't about their own membership card. I would recommend not to visit this place...it's way more expensive and not even worth it.

Awesome food taste. You will love the foods. Good ambiance. buffet and ala carte available. They use traditional cutlery to serve food. I tried veg Biryani, aalu boonda, dal makhani and in desert you will definitely love mini gulab jamun, firni and many more. Courteous staff with friendly nature. Good place to have good foods in Patna. Vag and non veg options available. Good seating space with wooden floor.

I went there with my family. Each of us have different taste buds but everyone enjoyed their food. The starters are really good. If you are a big foodie, then I will recommend you skip the main course and order 2 starters :) We had chicken seekh kebab and galouti kebab. I absolutely loved Galouti. I can go there just to have them :) In main course we ordered Mutton Rogan Josh. It was kind of ok. Service is nice. Ambiance is good. It is quite spacious. They also have a buffet system.

One of the oldest mall and public attraction of patna equipped with famous Cinepolis. Parking of bikes and cars are available which is chargeable. Lifts and elevators are there. First ever shopping mall in Patna, Bihar. Fortunate to be at the mall and stayed in the Clarks inn hotel during their 14th anniversary. The mall is small yet beautiful with capsule elevators, movie theatres and other shops. The parking is limited space under the basement but you will see some celebration going on daily. Had fun here.
Asap S — Google review
P&M Mall in Patna is a well-known shopping and entertainment destination, appreciated for being the city's first mall with diverse offerings. It features a range of retail stores including apparel and lifestyle brands, along with a spacious food court offering various cuisines such as fried chicken, Mughlai, Chinese, and fast food, making it suitable for family outings. The mall also houses a Cinepolis multiplex that provides a modern cinematic experience, though some users find the ticket prices and food options inside a bit costly. The mall's infrastructure includes escalators and elevators across multiple floors, but the layout may be confusing for some visitors. Parking is available and generally good, although the access roads are narrow, which can cause traffic congestion during peak hours. Customer service experiences vary, with some complaints about staff attitude. Overall, P&M Mall provides a convenient and pleasant venue for shopping, dining, and entertainment in Patna, especially for those looking for a one-stop place to meet various needs. While it may not match the scale or luxury of malls in metro cities, it remains a key hub in Patna for retail and leisure activities. Some visitors recommend it for casual visits and movie outings, but note it lacks very high-end brands or new-age luxury appeal.

Not what this store used to be. I remember the first time I came after the store had opened, and it was good experience. Since then the quality of clothes seems to have gone down over the years. Mostly during a sale it's even worse. I would recommend to buy clothes in non sale time. I have also noticed that sometimes you may not even find the latest fashion from a particular brand.

Mauryalok complex is not only place.... This place is close to my heart... ...... I'm fully attached with this place... Me and my friends played cricket in early morning in mauryalok campus 2001 to 2015.. In 20 years I Observered many changes.... It's is one of the best place of the patna (Heart of patna 💞) :- कहते हैं की जो मौर्यालोक नहीं घुमा, वो फिर पटना क्या घूमा।। It contains shopping complexes, restaurants and many government offices like Passport office, and Banks ( sbi, bank of baroda, central bank of India, etc. ) 3 atm also available 24 hour. Few good restaurants like Basant Vihar but this place is more famous for street food like momos, Batatapuri, Bhelpuri, Golgappa, chat, litti and egg rolls and Multiple options, and mostly young crowd. The place to be if you want to entertain d taste buds.. One famous Pan Wala shop is there where you can have PAN n soda shikanjee. you can shop specially madhubani paintings in Bihar empirium (Govt Shop) with other items too. It is controlled by Patna Municipal Corporation....Despite so important place its very badly managed. Toilets are dirty....You can see sewage water flowing on the roads...Daily thousand of people visit here but government is not so keen to improve its condition. Really very sad to see. .A very decent and famous place in Patna lost to modern day side effects!

The complex is for everyone. If you’re a foodie, you would get the best kind of snacks and food here. If you are a shopaholic then You will get various stores to shop here. Mobile and gadgets freak you are, you will find it here. Smoking with friends? You can do it here without any hassle. This is one of the most lively and happening place of the city. Price is on bit higher side but the things won’t dissapoint you. Hygiene and cleanliness is a concern.

Pind The Revolving Restaurant is a unique dining spot located on the 18th floor of Biskoman Bhawan, just 1 km from Patna City Centre. It features advanced German technology that allows the entire restaurant to revolve slowly, offering panoramic views of Patna during a meal. With North Indian and Chinese cuisine on offer, guests can enjoy their favorite dishes while taking in the cityscape. The restaurant's rotating feature provides an ever-changing view of Patna's landmarks and attractions.
Coming after a gap of 10 years, I decided to give this nostalgia place a try along with my family members. Arbind, who is the restaurant manager was super humble, quick to our orders and very courteous throughout our revolving journey at Pind, Patna. What makes this place a must visit is the panoramic view of the entire Patna and yes, you should definitely go in the late evening if you want to enjoy the sunset and the night view which is breathtaking! The food is very decently portioned and you can see live counters making your food freshly in front of your eyes which makes the food feel even better when you have the first bite. Keep up the great work guys.

This place is nice and cozy for a small family to have some good time and food here! But some of the things I didn’t found good like:- 1. Quantity of Food is not proper 2. Staff was pretty slow to serve 3. No proper seats available for larger number of people to sit, that’s why most people have to wait out there! 4. Ambience is good but lightings should be improve Overall, it’s a decent place to have good time with your friends and family.

The food was good overall, with a nice mix of flavors. We ordered chicken, garlic naan, and paneer dishes. The chicken was well-cooked and flavorful, pairing perfectly with the soft garlic naan. However, the paneer lacked the expected taste and could have been better seasoned. The soups were a highlight — the hot and sour soup had the right balance of spice and tang, while the chicken clear soup was light, comforting, and delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with some dishes standing out more than others, making it a decent dining experience worth trying again.

*Restaurant Feedback:* Ambience:-The restaurant offers a lovely view from the top floor, creating a pleasant atmosphere for family gatherings and parties. Area:-The ambiance is well-suited for family parties and gatherings. Improvement Suggestion:-The only drawback is the lift service, which can be quite disappointing due to the long waiting time to exit from the top to the bottom floor. Overall Experience:-Despite the lift issue, the restaurant's ambiance and view make it a great spot for family outings. With a bit of improvement in the lift service, it could enhance the overall experience for guests.

Pind Baluchi is serving one of the worst shakes (Vanilla and Chocolate). The bill I was given was for something else instead of what I actually ordered. When I pointed it out, they said, “It’s just ₹10 extra,” and also charged ₹5 extra for a water bottle. I’ve even shared the bill photo as proof. The washroom was equally dirty, and I’ve shared a picture of that too. Pind Baluchi is no longer the same as it used to be.

What he replied was "Agar achcha ni lga to kya wapas jayega aap kuch or order kr lijiyega" that one sentence took away the pressure and instantly made feel that I am welcomed here and liking matters and I am the priority and that's what exactly hospitaality means. That's is the first rule of the restaurant business. And what to say about the food the best food in Patna and one of my top 3 restaurant in my global experience because I ended up ordering 2 plate of momo jhol soup .

Dosa Plaza is a clean and tidy place with a variety of dosas on the menu. The waiters are polite, and it's a good spot to hang out with friends or family. They offer delicious milkshakes, although some find the prices slightly high. In addition to dosas, they also serve crispy puffed bhatura paired with hot and tangy chole curry, which is simply irresistible.
this is a very nice place for Dosa Lovers. it has unique dosas which are not only attractive but also tasty. Verities of dosas you get here is unavailable across whole Bihar.

Revisiting again after 02 years but experience same Worst service as expected earlier, it was same and too bad, This time we tried masala dosa, Masala American Delight also Not good as per stuffed material. Rates is not as expected..

Ordered milk shakes (chocolate and mango). Was a good experience. Neat and clean place. Waiters' behaviour is okay. Got one shake for ₹125. Price was on a bit higher side. But, can go if you want to have a good time with family or friends. Also as the name suggests, there are a variety of Dosas served in the menu.

I've tried dosa multiple times at this place. Dosa is good, but the chole bhature were worst and expensive too. The atmosphere is average with zero vibe. You can go there if you're too hungry and just want a place to eat something. But try dosa only even if you're hungry.
Akanksha K — Google review
Poor hygiene outside the restaurant as well as inside. Dosa which I ordered was tasty and authentic south indian. Service was below average. For the charge they take for dishes were not justifiable. Not a healthy place to be in for food.

The dosa was very sour. ₹250 for a single Mysore Masala Dosa is way too expensive. Not just the batter, but the potato and bottle guard was sour too. When complained about the taste, they said it is sour due to Curd and Green chutney.
Saksham P — Google review
Good variety of dosa available here. Ambience is a but low due to underground shop but they make it up with the taste. Very tasty and new flavors. Special dosa like in the picture takes around 20 min to make so have patience. Prices are reasonable. Should definitely visit for a morning snack bite.

South Indian restaurant
Basant Vihar is a popular vegetarian restaurant in Patna, known for its South Indian, North Indian, and Chinese cuisines. The restaurant is divided into two floors, with the ground floor offering North Indian and Chinese dishes while the upper floor serves South Indian snacks. Despite its simple decor, Basant Vihar is praised for its experienced staff and consistent quality of dishes such as dosas, paneer cutlets, and vegetarian curries.
Restaurant is very good only for South Indian Delicacies, you can enjoy with friends or family here. From my childhood I am going to this place and only to have South Indian food. At that time also the taste was awesome and even today also it’s awesome as I went with my wife and family. The staff is gentle and very cooperative.

Over-priced and not up to the mark - that's what this place is now. Once known for one of the best Dosa in city now it's just another place to waste your hard earned money. Sambhar is just water and spices with traces of vegitables in it. We have better places in Patna now where you can enjoy varieties of Dosa at better price. Wouldn't recommend 👎

Food is good only when you dine in otherwise when you order from Swiggy they will take approximately 2 hours which is really frustrating. Also they have delivered wrong order to us . I ordered special masala dosa instead they delivered plain paper dosa. This is very pathetic.

I am trying hard to not to avoid this restaurant which I have been visited since 1996. Recently, I am again disappointed when I got spoiled chutney which smell soo bad from the waiter. I hope all people now understand what I am trying to say. **Overpriced food items along with spoiled food.** Now a days in Patna there are many options which serve better Dosa than Basant vihar. I am sure if they people not learn lesson, very soon you people see that the restaurant guys are waiting for customers by sitting outside the restaurant.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Kolkata Biryani Darbar, a place that exudes love and offers delectable biryani. The chicken biryani I ordered was truly remarkable, as was the chicken lollipop. While the atmosphere may not be perfect, it is adequate despite occasional kitchen smoke. The ambience was pleasant, but unfortunately, the food quality did not meet my expectations and I feel it lacks good value for money.
Loved this place ..biryani is love and this place is also love ..I ordered chicken biryani and it was awesome and also ordered chicken lollipop..both were too tasty. The atmosphere is not that good ..but it's satisfactory bcz sometimes it gets full of smoke of the kitchen.

I recently visited Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Saheb (Patna Sahib) with my family after a long time and it was a deeply peaceful and spiritual experience. The Gurudwara is beautifully maintained — the white marble, golden domes, and serene atmosphere fill you with calm. Knowing it’s the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh Ji made the visit even more special. The Langar was simple and delicious, served with great devotion. However, one thing that didn’t feel right was being asked to join both hands while receiving roti — it almost gave a feeling of being treated like a beggar rather than a devotee. I completely understand the intent of humility, but perhaps this could be done in a more respectful way. Overall, it’s a divine place that fills you with peace and positivity. A must-visit for anyone coming to Patna. 🙏

Built in honor of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru who was born here in 1666, the shrine holds immense historical and religious significance. The moment you enter the complex, a sense of peace and devotion takes over. The architecture is grand yet serene, with its white marble structure, golden domes, and intricately carved interiors reflecting both beauty and divinity. The sanctum, where devotees bow in reverence, radiates calmness and spiritual strength. One of the most touching aspects of the gurudwara is the practice of langar (community kitchen), where free meals are served to all visitors regardless of faith, caste, or background. The volunteers’ dedication and the spirit of equality here leave a lasting impression. The gurudwara is well-maintained, though it can get very crowded during festivals and important Sikh occasions. Still, the management handles the flow of devotees efficiently, ensuring everyone gets a chance to offer prayers. Overall, visiting Takht Shri Harimandir Ji is not just a religious experience but also a lesson in humility, service, and unity.

Nestled in the heart of Patna Sahib, Gurdwara Bal Leela Maini Sangat is a stunning Sikh temple that holds deep historical significance as the childhood playground of Guru Gobind Singh. This ornate gurdwara features magnificent domes, a tranquil fountain, and an inviting courtyard that creates a serene atmosphere for reflection and prayer. The architecture beautifully marries traditional Sikh elements with modern touches, making it not only a spiritual haven but also an architectural marvel.
Beautiful Gurudwara. The sarai or inn is very nice, but difficult to get rooms during festivals. The problem is they do not have online booking arrangements.

Very nicely built sarais and too beautiful Gurudwara sahib. Close to Takhat Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji Patna is Gurudwara Bal Leela Maini Sangat. Situated in a narrow lane, the Gurudwara was established on August 28, 1668, as a wood carving on the old front door of the shrine states. It marks the house where Raja Fateh Chand Maini and Rani Vishambhari Devi lived and where Guru Gobind Singh, used to often play as a child. The story about the Gurudwara is that by the grace of God, Raja Fateh Chand Maini had everything. The only cause of grief and unhappiness for the Raja and his consort was the fact that they were childless. None of the material comforts could fill the vacuum in their lives. Fateh Chand Maini and Vishambhari Devi were great admirers of Pandit Shiv Dutt, a devotee of Lord Rama. Pandit Shiv Dutt then told them about the divine child, Bala Pritam or Gobind Rai. He said that the blessed child would fill their life with hope and joy. Raja Fateh Chand Maini and his wife regarded Bala Pritam as their own Son. They decided to gift their palace and property to him, converting it into a center for the congregation. Years later, a beautiful Sikh shrine was constructed at the site, and it was named Gurudwara Bal Leela Maini Sangat. The tradition of serving boiled gram and puris as Prasad (consecrated food) in memory of Bala Pritam also continues here. And, unlike other gurudwaras in Patna, the Prasad here is served by Nirmala Sikhs.

Gurdwara Bal Leela Sahib in Patna marks the site where Guru Gobind Singh ji, 10th Guru and Founder of Khalsa panth, spent his childhood, playing with other children and being cared for by Rani Maini. Known as the Maini Sangat, the gurdwara is built on the former palace grounds of Raja Fateh Chand Maini and his wife, where the young Guru would often play. Shri Badi Patan Devi Temple in Patna is a significant Hindu temple, believed to be one of the 51 Indian Siddha Shakti Pithas. Legend has it that this sacred site is where parts of Devi Sati's corpse fell after Lord Vishnu used Sudarshan Chakra. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga and was previously known as Maa Sarvanand Kari Patneshwari.
Patan Devi, also called Maa Patneshwari, is the oldest and one of the most sacred temples of Patna, Bihar. It is regarded as one of the 51 Siddha Shakti Pithas in India. The Bari Patan Devi Temple, Patna is facing the North, towards the Ganges river. The statues of the temple are all made up in black stone. According to the Hindu mythology, it is believed that the right thigh of Devi Sati fell in Magadh and it is said that the part of the body of Sati fell in both Maharajganj and Chowk areas in Old Patna city. At these places, the Badi Patan Devi temple and the Chhoti Patan Devi temple were built. According to the Tantra Charumani, the small images of the Bari Patan Devi Temple, Patna are the Goddess Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. In Hindu mythology, these Goddesses protected Putraka, who was the founder of Pataliputra. A strange stone image has been found in a tank near the Bari Patan Devi Temple, Patna. That image has been kept in the eastern veranda of the main temple where this stone is being worshiped regularly. Badi Patan Devi temple was founded by Shri Badrinath Chaudhary, a famous inspector of British era. Devotees can go to the temple at any time of the day. The temple does not distinguish between any caste or creed and hence is open for all religions and castes.

Badi Patan Devi Mandir, Patna A spiritually powerful and historically rich temple, Badi Patan Devi Mandir is considered one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. According to legend, the right thigh of Goddess Sati fell here, making it a sacred site for devotees of Shakti. The temple is dedicated to the fierce and divine forms of the Goddess—Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati—who are enshrined here in idol form. Many devotees from across Bihar and India visit during Navratri. The architecture, though simple, carries an aura of age-old sanctity. The surroundings is congested, and local administration should ensure better cleanliness facilities and regulation of shops/vendors. Still, it remains a must-visit for anyone interested in the spiritual heritage of Patna and Hindu mythology. Remains open throughout the day. Outer space can be ised for some Parking.

Shri Badi Patan Devi Temple, located in Patna, is revered as one of the 51 Siddha Shakti Pithas. Legend says this is where Devi Sati's right thigh fell, making it a powerful center of faith. The temple, also known as Maa Patneshwari, is believed to be the protector of the city. The temple's spiritual significance is deeply rooted in Hindu mythology. It enshrines the idols of the three goddesses: Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. These deities are considered to be the divine guardians who protect the city of Patna and its people from evil forces. Beyond its religious importance, the temple is a hub of cultural activity. It bustles with devotees, especially during Navratri and Durga Puja, when grand celebrations and rituals are held. The atmosphere becomes charged with devotion, drawing pilgrims from all over the region. The temple's history is intertwined with the city itself, with some historians suggesting that Patna's name is derived from "Patan," a reference to the temple. This connection further solidifies its position as a cultural and historical landmark for the people of Bihar. The spiritual aura within the temple is palpable. Visitors feel a sense of peace and a deep connection to the divine. Despite being in a bustling area, the temple offers a serene environment for prayer, making it a must-visit destination for those seeking blessings and tranquility.

Shri Badi Patan Devi Temple is one of the most ancient and powerful Shakti Peethas of India, located in the holy city of Patna. It is believed that this sacred temple marks the spot where the “right thigh” of Goddess Sati fell, making it one of the 51 Shakti Peeths mentioned in the scriptures. The divine presence of Maa Patan Devi — worshipped here in three forms: Mahakali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati — fills the atmosphere with unmatched spiritual energy. Shri Badi Patan Devi Temple in Patna is a sacred haven radiating divine energy. Despite ongoing renovation and construction, the temple remains open for devotees, ensuring uninterrupted darshan. The spiritual ambiance is palpable, with the goddess’s idol exuding grace and power. When I visited, there was a manageable queue of 50-60 people, moving steadily, reflecting the temple’s efficient management. The priests perform rituals with devotion, offering prasad and coconuts to the goddess on behalf of devotees, enhancing the spiritual experience. The temple’s historical significance and vibrant atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone seeking blessings. The ongoing work doesn’t detract from the sanctity; instead, it promises an even grander future for this revered site. Cleanliness is maintained, and the staff is courteous. I highly recommend visiting this divine abode to experience its serene yet powerful aura.

Rani Ghat in Patna is one of the most renowned ghats along the River Ganges. It is particularly vibrant during the weekends when the evening aarti, a ceremonial offering with lamps, takes place. The sight of priests adorned in saffron robes performing the aarti amidst prayers and songs is truly captivating. The conch shell blown at the beginning adds to the spiritual ambiance. While it offers a serene environment for visitors, there are some areas that could benefit from better cleanliness.

Rani Ghat was renovated by Queen Ahilya Bai. Probably after this, the said ghat came to be known as 'Rani Ghat'. After becoming a widow, the queen built and renovated ghats and temples at many places in North India. Just water as far as the eye can see. This view of Ganga is now available only for one and a half month in a year. These days the bed of Ganga becomes five to seven kilometers wide. The waves of Ganga are adding to the beauty of the ghats. This rarely happens now due to the Ganga moving away from the city. Nowadays Ganga is making its old ghats hum with waves. Hundreds of tourists are flocking to Ganga Teera every day to enjoy the ghats decorated with Mithila paintings and the waves of Ganga. While roaming on the river front, even adults are unable to stop themselves from acting like children as soon as a few drops of the flowing waves of Ganga fall on their bodies. The view is very picturesque especially in the evening. This is the confluence of two rivers: the Ganges and the Gangkari. A must visit place when you are in Patna. Nice ghat. It is look beautiful and the view of ganga river is amazing. Rani ghat ganga aarti is very devotional and peaceful for our inner peace of mind. I think it is great experience. There are alot of people in evening that is very problematic for rush hour. So avoid coming on Sunday evening. Then you realise there are beautiful place for walk and nature explore.

It's a nice, cool and calm place to visit. It's a must go place if you are nearby, for the morning or evening walk. There is still a little bit of scope of improvement in terms of cleanliness. Overall, it's nice.. 👍
Pritam D — Google review
Went there a week prior to chhath Puja. Area outside the river is good and clean but the river water was too dirty. River is not maintained. It's good that there are washrooms but they're not at all maintained. Out of 3 only one washroom was open. Also, the crowd keeps staring from stairs and bridge. So it's kind of embarrassing to bathe there.

One of the best ghat of ganga river in patna.well sensitised and very clean.scenario of this ghat is attracting.mahashivratri fair is well known festival.you can also go for walking in morning and evening with family, kids and friends.almost good place.
Shiv S — Google review
Why should one visit? • Less crowded than nearby ghats like NIT Ghat, so it's more peaceful. • Located beside Ganga and Marine Drive, offering a scenic riverside view. • Good place for a morning or evening walk, or quiet time. • Easily accessible by road. Cause of concern • Cleanliness is average; sometimes the area may not be well maintained. • Limited facilities like benches, lighting, or security presence. • Not very well-known, so lacks tourist amenities. • During monsoon, flooding or waterlogging might be an issue.
Vishal K — Google review
Beautiful place but need to some improvement in cleaning and maintenance. Otherwise good to hang out with friends and relatives. A lot people came here in evening for hang out, boat riding in river Ganges. No charge for entry. Boat riding fee:- ₹100-150 per person (⚠️price may vary time to time)

Nature & Parks
Kumhrar Park is a historical site that displays the remnants of ancient Pataliputra, the capital of the Mauryan Empire. The park features ruins such as an 80-pillar hall and the arogyshala of Panini, dating back to the 3rd century BC. These relics are believed to be from Ashoka's reign and are associated with the Third Buddhist Council.
Beautiful park with well-manicured lawns and walking trails. Perfect for a relaxing stroll or picnic with family and friends. The playground is great for kids, with swings, slides, and climbing structures that will keep them entertained for hours. The park is clean and safe, with plenty of benches and shaded areas to take a break. I love visiting this park during sunrise or sunset for stunning views. The colors of the sky are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere is a great escape from the city noise. The park is also a great spot for nature lovers, with a variety of birds and plants to observe. Overall, I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable outdoor experience. Whether you're with family, friends, or solo, there's something for everyone here. I'll definitely be coming back to visit again soon!"

The site is maintained, yes- including the excavations, lawn premises and the museum. Just disliked the lack of decorum in the premises (PDA should stay decent, right? It was just 11:30 AM of a weekday! Bring along family if you can handle not to get awkward.)
Amisha K — Google review
A place to remind the existence of richness of bihar's history. Though most of the remains are still buried, it symbolises the prosperity of Patliputra. It's now converted to a park with some very old trees.
Ashish A — Google review
Kumhrar Park, located in Patna, Bihar, is a significant archaeological site that offers a glimpse into the glorious past of ancient India, specifically the Mauryan period. This site marks the location of the ancient city of Pataliputra, which was once the capital of mighty empires like the Mauryas and the Guptas. The park houses excavated remains dating back to 600 BCE – 600 CE, including the famous 80-pillared hall (as seen in the second image). These monolithic pillars are believed to be part of a grand assembly hall built during Emperor Ashoka’s reign. The excavation map and structure plans on the museum board (Image 2) demonstrate how thoughtfully the site was organized, showcasing urban planning, architecture, and governance of that time. In the first image, a plaque titled "Aarogya Vihar" provides insight into one of the important segments of Kumhrar — a health and wellness center believed to be used by monks and scholars. It reflects the site’s association not only with governance but also with learning and public welfare. The well-maintained lawns, walkways, and preserved ruins offer a peaceful and educational environment. Kumhrar Park is not just a park; it’s a window into India’s ancient past. For history enthusiasts, students, or casual visitors, it provides a unique opportunity to walk through the remnants of one of the world’s earliest planned cities. Although the infrastructure can be further improved for tourism, the historical importance of this site is unquestionable.

One of the historic inheritance place.. Same as Vikramshila ruins in Bhagalpur.. This Park is an archaeological site that houses the remains of Pataliputra, the ancient capital of the Maurya Empire. Excavations here have uncovered pillared halls, monasteries and drainage systems, revealing the grandeur of one of history's oldest cities. The most notable discovery is the 80-pillared hall, believed to be part of Emperor Ashoka's palace. History enthusiasts and archaeology lovers visit this site to see the remains of India's golden age.

HOTEL PATLIPUTRA CONTINENTAL

Hotel Patliputra Continental is a modern and stylish airport hotel located in the Anisabad area of Patna, near the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. The hotel offers warm rooms and suites, two restaurants, a spa, and a rooftop pool. It is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers, providing modern meeting halls with advanced technical equipment for events. The property is suitable for various functions such as weddings, anniversaries, receptions, and birthday celebrations.
Staying at this hotel was an absolute pleasure. The service was exceptional; the front desk staff went above and beyond to help us, and the housekeeping team kept our room in perfect condition. The food was a definite standout—every meal was a delight, and the breakfast buffet was incredible with so many delicious options. I loved the comfortable beds and the peaceful atmosphere. It's clear the team here takes pride in their work. I would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat.
Sujith M — Google review
Pathetic experience! We were treated as if it was our first time staying in a hotel. The staff kept bugging us for money even though we were still staying in the hotel. They kept us calling and stopping midway to ask for money. The driver traveling with us was made to wait more than 30mins for his accommodation booking, and was clearly made to feel the bias because of his profession. We never treat our staffs like that and expected the hotel to treat them as part of our family too. However, he was clearly neglected and kept in waiting/standing without reason. My father was staying at a different hotel and was already done with his breakfast. Even after that when he came to meet us, he was made to feel so uncomfortable that he couldn't even ask for a glass of water. We ourselves have been into business for generations, and have never seen a business working like this. Claiming themselves to be a 5-star hotel and behaving like this is a low benchmark in itself.

Unchi dukan, phika pakwan. Not value for money. Several issues observed.Wifi not working, smell in corridor, room due to old carpets, pick from airport not provided as per booking, breakfast charges not as per booking conditions. They charge extra for breakfast. All these issues informed ti hitel staff. Good thing is hotel staffs are polite and have good behaviour.

We recently stayed there for 3 nights, and the best part has to be its unbeatable location. The property is well-maintained and clean, with a super friendly staff that's always ready to help. There are lovely corners around the hostel to relax, and the wall art adds such a vibrant touch to the space. Overall, it’s a beautifully designed property with great vibes. Would definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Staff were extremely polite and helpful, and check-in was smooth. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet. Location is perfect for both business and leisure. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting
Selva B — Google review
Good hotel in patna, it's nearby airport and within the city market area so the location is good. A few points: The door keys are still old style and if you forget your key inside room, the hotel staff opens it with master key instead of issuing another one. The lift up down management system is super confusing. Rest all good.
Rishabh G — Google review
We recently hosted a family event at the property, and while the overall event went smoothly in many respects, there were some areas that require serious attention. To start with the positives—the food was commendable and well-received by our guests. The service and hospitality staff on the floor were polite, attentive, and carried out their responsibilities professionally. Their presence helped keep the event on track and is worth appreciating. However, our experience with the sales team was disappointing. Communication was inconsistent, and at times, shockingly unprofessional. Basic decorum, tone, and the ability to handle client interactions with grace were sorely lacking. A key mention here is Ms. Priyanka Raj, who seemed more invested in carrying the pride of being part of a prestigious hotel than actually upholding its standards. The attitude displayed reflected more of a budget property than a reputed brand employee— arrogant, dismissive, and disconnected from client expectations. The banquet hall, while spacious, was in need of a deep and thorough cleaning—something we did not expect to point out at this level. Additionally, there seemed to be a disconnect between departments, as earlier conversations and agreed details often needed to be repeated, re-explained, or worse, were denied. While the operations and service management staff were cooperative and helpful, it is unfortunate that their efforts were overshadowed by a lack of coordination from the sales side. Proper internal training, accountability, and client sensitivity must be prioritized if this venue wishes to maintain a premium reputation. We’re thankful for the parts that went well, but sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback as a much-needed opportunity for improvement.
Mukul B — Google review
I had a disappointing experience during my stay at this hotel. Despite being presented as a 5-star property, basic amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi were not provided. Even swimming suits for the pool were only available at an additional chargeThe staff’s approach was uncooperative and appeared to focus more on charging for every small service rather than delivering quality hospitality. With these shortcomings, the hotel does not meet the standards expected of a 5-star establishment.

Barbeque Nation, a well-established restaurant chain situated in Patna, is widely acclaimed for its expertise in serving delectable barbecued dishes. Despite their specialization, they also offer an extensive range of other food options. The barbecue and dessert sections are particularly beloved by patrons, with the pan kulfi being a standout treat. However, customers have suggested that more variety and flavors could be introduced to the main course to generate greater interest among diners.
Had my first meal in the barbecue nation...and felt so good I think the excellent place to have your meal in your way .......🙂 That is the best thing there... Starters were so delicious same goes for deserts .....but most the people were not enjoying the main course meal cause they are already full from the starters..... So enjoy the food too not stick with the starters..👍🫠 You have to book the table in advance.... The grilling the meal experience was the goodest..... I loved it I enjoyed a lot ...the food is great overall every thing is right on the point same goes for price 😜 but it's worth it .... Great experience 🙂👍

Last night, I visited Barbeque Nation for their famous unlimited non-veg buffet, and it was an unforgettable food journey! We started with around 50-60 pieces of chicken, mutton, fish, and prawns from the live grill placed right on our table. The kebabs and seafood were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of smoky flavors. After enjoying the endless starters, we moved to the main course, which was equally mouth-watering. We tried the flavorful Mutton Dum Biryani, packed with aromatic spices and tender meat. Along with that, we had Butter Naan paired with rich and spicy Mutton Nihari Ghost, and creamy Chicken Lababdar, which just melted in the mouth. The Shahi Masala Mutton was another highlight—slow-cooked, rich, and full of royal flavors. We also tried Egg Fried Rice with Chicken Chilli Gravy, a perfect Indo-Chinese touch to the spread. Every dish in the main course was well-prepared and served hot, keeping the flavors intact. Finally, we ended with pani puri, multiple ice cream flavors, desserts, and the famous kulfi. Overall, the service, ambiance, and food at Barbeque Nation were excellent. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unlimited buffet experience!

Barbeque Nation is a great place for food lovers, especially those who enjoy grilled and buffet-style dining. The variety of starters, both veg and non-veg, is impressive and served hot at your table. Main course has good options and the live counter adds to the experience. The dessert section is delightful with kulfi, pastries, and more. Ambience is lively, staff is courteous, and overall it’s a perfect spot for family dinners or celebrations. Worth visiting again!

The lively ambiance and amazing hospitality make it perfect for family outings. Highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Do not know what they are charging for. The food quality is deteriorating day by day.. if preparing food is just dipping in oil and frying it.. they have excelled in this ... there should be some taste in food ( obvious reason to go to a restaurant) the chef needs some training for specializing in preparing food. Another issue is service... if you demand something it will take eternity.. some staffs specially manager on the floor are very decent.. but waiters are hard to convince and a little agressive.. Hygine is great and live counter is good. The main course here needs some serious improvement. They do not know how to prepare mutton.. A good place spoiled by chef and few waiters ( most waiters are greaty humble).
