Entebbe International Airport

4.0

International airport
Airport
Entebbe International Airport is a traveler's haven located in the heart of Entebbe. It offers excellent food and drinks, making it a great stop for visitors. The airport provides fast and free WiFi, allowing travelers to easily stay connected with their loved ones upon arrival. Additionally, the well-maintained toilets offer a pleasant experience compared to other airports. The departure terminal features duty-free shops, a cafeteria serving warm food, modern seating areas with charging points, and ample waiting space.
Better than the past 10years. At least services are being provided for convenience and it is well lit drop-offs are easier and one doesn’t have to wait in that hot or cold tent we used to sit in at arrivals 🤦🏽‍♂️it was a pain. Nowadays it’s under a well organised shelter and vips can be picked up conveniently. Though there’s limited seats are arrivals. Place’s clean and generally looking okay. We can do better but this is the best in the past 10+ years 😜
Mathias K — Google review
My experience of Entebbe International Airport is pleasant. Trained dogs sniffed at luggages at entrance, which I find to be a green approach, well there were laser scanners too. Persons snap pictures with a Gorilla Statue at the entrance. The Airport attendance and workers were also friendly and helpful.
Okeniyi J — Google review
Entebbe International Airport has a cool, pleasant ambience because it's being upgraded. That renovated part accessible to the public leaves one anticipating a better International Airport. Then its strategic location near Lake Victoria has advantaged it in many ways, but what stands out for me is the cool breeze available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 😀.
Louis N — Google review
Its a pretty simple airport but yet smooth in operation. After crossing immigration and baggage collection area you will find restaurants, medicine store and mobile operator store. Outside you will find taxi drivers but i would suggest use Uber if you are new in here. Tip 1: Please make sure you are done your USD/Euro exchange at the airport to pay Uber, they cancel trip if its over credit card. Tip 2: Mobile operator has packages but not all are shown. So ask for days you are going to be there. I found Airtel network service better.
Fazal R — Google review
Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is Uganda's main international gateway, located in the town of Entebbe, about 40 kilometers southwest of Kampala, the capital city. It serves as the primary entry and exit point for travelers arriving and departing by air. Situated on the shores of Lake Victoria, about 6 kilometers from the center of Entebbe town and 40 kilometers southwest of Kampala. It is Uganda's only international airport and handles both domestic and international flights. Offers various passenger amenities including duty-free shops, restaurants, and VIP lounges. Several airlines operate flights to and from Entebbe, including Uganda Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Emirates, Kenya Airways, and others. Entebbe is close to Lake Victoria, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, and Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Taxis and private transfers are available for transportation to and from the airport.

Uganda 🇺🇬 international airport. Nice and friendly service and business lounge is bright and comfortable. Karibuni Lounge
Gold T — Google review
The airport is okay, and the staff are very helpful (some of them). The immigration process was amazing, with good communication, and they were always respectful and ready to assist you with any updates and questions. The next step after immigration was very poor, with poor communication and a lack of respect, even if you asked. I would give them a 0. Kindly, Mr. Joseph, change your behavior. You need to provide updates when someone asks you. Just know you are representing millions of us Ugandans. It was amazing service from arrival to departure. The restrooms are clean, and thank you for updating the situation to the top. It's our land, the most welcoming land in the world, with amazing people that is Uganda. Kindly we welcome you to Uganda.

We've eaten there twice with a group. Consistently good food! Service was a little slow, but gave us more time to visit. The restaurant is gated with a guard so never felt at risk. Would definitely go back!
Susan M — Google review
I recently visited Faze 3 in Entebbe with a few friends to try it out. We ordered quite a few dishes and were very impressed. The food was very nice, freshly prepared, and bursting with flavours. The staff were very welcoming and recommended some great dishes. The ambiance was lovely, with a nice outdoor space to enjoy. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food in Entebbe.

It had been a fantastic Tilapia! I got a lot in the past but this one had been outstanding. The fruit drinks had been very good and the service is excellent. A strong recommendation from my side!

Our team comes here every year we visit for our mission outreach. The food is amazing and the staff is extremely friendly. I'll definitely be back, Lord willing.
Donald V — Google review
The food is good but you're unlikely to find traditionally made Ugandan food. Very conveniently close to Entebbe Airport incase you're on transit and have time to exit and eat some non-airport food.
N. K — Google review
A large selection of dishes, especially western cuisine. Good portion sizes. Depending on what you order, it can take over 30 min to get it, so if your in a hurry you may need to choose carefully.
Isaac W — Google review
Just the best place to stop by for a meal in Entebbe before heading to catch a flight if one is driving to Entebbe ahead of time to beat the Kampala traffic. Sit and watch the planes taking off. Great food. Look out for their cheesecake.
Sahil P — Google review
It's a cool place, no noise. Good for people who want to reflect their last minutes or hours before flying out. Great place to catch your last supper before getting into those long hours of flying. On entry, you might actually think there's not much going until you get in. It might seem boring from the looks especially the exterior of the building, there's modernity inside. They have enough ample parking space, great view of the sunset, airport where you get to see landings and takeoffs, the calmness of lake Victoria and so forth. Food here is just so good. For the time I've been here, the waiters have been lovely and warm. With dining space, you have a choice of either inside, "payot" or open space. The security is good.

As a beach lover but not a lover of big crowds, one thing I have learnt is, visiting the beach on a Weekday beats the weekend. 100% No entrance fees, more quiet, super quick service, we were surprised at how fast our food came after we made the order. The fish and chicken were succulent and the portions were big, one fish and chips meal can feed 3, 2 adults and a kid. 😃😃 Try out the speed boats, it's a nice experience for those that like adrenaline rushes, everyone tried but me. 😅 The water was also clear and clean enough for a lake dip. Always move with my products ofcourse so took a photo of them in the sand. Utulivu Naturals Lemongrass products ☺️
Clara H — Google review
I was there on a Monday the place was very nice, calm (especially for that I wanted to spend time with myself) but I’m sure on weekends days the place is crowded. The waiters are polite and welcoming I really enjoyed the place I even got silverfish while sitting near the water 😂
Alex.m T — Google review
More calm and less crowded compared to the other beaches on the same lane Very nice if you want some place to chill other than vibe. It has a very good and white sand that gives Zanzibar vibes 😂😂😂 i would call it Ugandan Zanzibar There delivery time I mean in providing eats and drinks is not so much lengthy compared to there counterparts and they have a very good dj at the venue I think it would be a nice place to try out
Kyagulanyi J — Google review
The beach is an excellent date idea for family and friend groups. The crowds are less, the dj keeps you entertained with nonstop mixes and the place is also very kid friendly, for as long as you can guard them from the water. The high water levels are finishing up sand shores however there are still plenty of activities you can engage in like pool table, beach volleyball, jetskiing, swimming e.t.c

I went to 4 Points Bar and Restaurant and we shared the platter with chicken, goat, sausage and beef. The fries were good, the avocado was fresh and the service was easy. What surprised me most was the goat, it ended up being the best on the plate. Even Nakato agreed with me on that, and we both left full and happy, already saying we’ll come back again.

Nice place. The restaurant is divided into several different areas. There are many Indians and expats among the visitors. Indian, Thai, Mexican cuisine. The signature burger was very good. The staff is polite. Enough parking space. Nice place for a casual lunch in Entebbe UPD: they should marinate chicken lollipops more properly, they have no taste

We stayed here for one or two nights on our arrival and departure. The guest house has a very family atmosphere and a beautiful garden. The proximity to the airport doesn't disturb your night's sleep. We were able to recover well from the flight here. The service is very nice and attentive. The price-performance ratio is very good. I cannot recommend the Guineafowl enough! The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the gardens are lovely for outdoor dining. A pickup from the airport was arranged prior to arrival, and this made my transfer to the guesthouse stress-free after a long weekend of travel. Esther was a delight, and the entire staff was friendly. All my meals were well-cooked and we’ll-seasoned, and I truly enjoyed everything I ordered during my stay. The bed was a bit more firm than I am used to, but the room was clean and comfortable. Also, make sure you reserve a massage with Mary during your stay. She is so sweet and professional, and I highly recommend booking an appointment!

Good place to be Next to the airport, but please keep in mind that is a guest House, so if you are in a hooneymoon I'll recommend to look for another options. The good thing was Meadous, she is incredible attending the place and great food to.

Victoria Mall is a clean, modern, and well-organised shopping spot in Entebbe. It’s got a great mix of local and international stores, a supermarket (Shoprite), cafes, restaurants, and even a cinema for entertainment. Security is tight and the environment feels safe, making it a comfortable place to hang out, shop, or grab a bite. There’s plenty of parking space and it's just a short drive from the airport super convenient for travellers or last-minute errands. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that some sections can feel a bit quiet during off-peak hours, and a few more indoor activities or shops wouldn’t hurt. Overall, it’s one of the best malls in Uganda for a relaxed and convenient experience. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Entebbe!

The parking attendants were also helpful and courteous. Overall, I highly recommend Victoria Mall to anyone seeking a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience. The mall's excellent amenities, diverse store selection, and welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for shoppers and families alike.

Victoria mall is vibrant mall is a bustling hub of activity and a premier destination for shoppers, diners, and entertainment seekers alike. Nestled within this expansive complex is Cafe Javas, a beloved restaurant known for its cozy ambiance and a diverse menu that spans from hearty breakfasts to delectable dinners. Nearby, KFC serves up its iconic fried chicken, drawing in crowds with the irresistible aroma of its secret recipe. For those craving something different, the Middle East restaurant offers a culinary journey through aromatic spices and traditional dishes, providing a taste of far-off lands. The mall's cinema is a state-of-the-art facility, featuring multiple screens and the latest in audio-visual technology, making it the perfect spot to catch the latest blockbuster or enjoy a classic film. A good place for shopping; quite organised with plenty of parking. A supermarket and several brand-name restaurants...and if you want it extra executive, a hotel is within vicinity. You got it all here.

A great spot for services, but look elsewhere for souvenirs! Victoria Mall is an excellent and modern mall in Uganda, offering a high standard of services and facilities. It's clean, well-maintained, and a reliable place to find what you need. The mall has a good variety of shops and places to eat, and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. However, if you are looking for clothing or souvenirs, I would advise against buying them here. The prices for souvenirs, in particular, are extremely high. Pro-tip for souvenir shopping: Directly across the street from Victoria Mall is a souvenir market where you can find the exact same items for less than a quarter of the price. You'll get much better value there and support local vendors. Overall, I highly recommend Victoria Mall for its great amenities and services, but for souvenir shopping, save your money and cross the road!

Thai Garden Entebbe

Thai restaurant
Thai Garden Entebbe is a top-rated Thai restaurant located in a lush setting with patio and garden seating, surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. The care and love put into the dishes are evident from the beautiful gardens maintained by the owner. While some found the Tom Yum Goong to be weak in taste, others enjoyed dishes like pad Thai with chicken and mango sticky rice. The ambience and service were praised, although some felt that the food did not taste entirely authentic.
Great service and delicious Thai food. The food is not as spicy but ask them and they will indulge your spicy taste buds. The owner is Thai and is very friendly and courteous too. We made a reservation just to be sure. And when we left it was crowded inside during dinner time. Really enjoyed this place.
Saji P — Google review
Pretty good Thai place given that it's in Entebbe. Tom Yum Goong was a little weak in taste, maybe because I got the version with coconut milk. Papaya salad and Thai ice tea was good. Pad Thai with pork was decent, on the salty side. Mango sticky rice was good. Service was good. Sitting at the back of the restaurant was a little stuffy.
Peter ( — Google review
This is an incredible place run by an incredible woman. Look at the beautiful gardens and surroundings that she cares for speaks volumes about the care and love that she puts into her dishes. This place was recommended by a friend and the food did not disappoint. I had the pad Thai with chicken medium heat and it was so well balanced. Definitely a place to return to.

The Thai garden has two options for you to sit. It has one at the restaurant in a green environment and both outdoor and indoor place to sit. Another one is near the beach. It has a clean and nice environment. Staff is welcoming and helpful. The dish was nice.

We sat at the tables by the beach. The breeze was lovely. Best Thai food in Uganda. Friendly wait staff and their portion of the beach is so clean and well maintained.

Nelson K — Google review
The place looks amazing. Great ambience and service. However the food we had (I had Thai red curry and my husband had green curry) doesn't taste like an authentic Thai food. We've definitely had better Thai food before. But this one is not too bad. Their mango juice and ice cream were very delicious though!
Mel L — Google review
As I see all the reviews suggest good food...I had to try Thai Garden. And the food was amazing! I have been told by many colleagues to visit...and I was definitely not disappointed. Thai Green Curry with side noodles was very tasty and just the right amount of spice to be mild as I ordered. The wine by the glass was also very well chosen by the owners. 👌 For dessert the chef special was one of the best desserts I have had in Entebbe. Well worth a try...though it could be a little sweet towards the end... The coffee was not the best I have had in Uganda...but then you cant be great at everything 😊 Generally this is a restaurant that features on the top of my list for Ugandan restuarants. Beautiful beach side dining as well. Im looking forward to my next Thai experience in their garden

Entebbe Botanical Garden

Botanical garden
Entebbe Botanical Garden, established in 1898, is situated near the equator on the northern shores of Lake Victoria. The garden boasts a diverse collection of plant species from tropical, sub-tropical, and temperate zones. With 309 species including aliens, medicinal plants, and native Ugandan species, it serves as an important educational hub for biodiversity studies. This serene spot has been a popular retreat for both locals and tourists seeking relaxation amidst nature's beauty.
Entry payment through MTN, airtel money or by card. Charges are 5k for East Africans. Such a serene place this was! I think one of the best in Entebbe to enjoy proximity to the lake PLUS the wide variety of plants, some birds and different kinds of monkeys. Take your time with this place; bring a book, curiosity about what is around and be ready to enjoy the sounds of nature
Wilkister L — Google review
A peaceful pleasant shady ride on bicycles. ( yes you can take your hired bicycles inside- we hired them from 2 friends hostel ) Unfortunately the lakeside cafes has little food if any to offer so take your own picnic. Entry fee $7.

My visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens was nothing short of refreshing! From the moment I walked in, I was embraced by the calmness of nature—no noise, just peace. The cool breeze from the water was so soothing, and I loved how the whistling of birds filled the air, creating the perfect natural soundtrack. 🕊️ The gardens themselves are beautiful and spacious, with so much greenery that instantly makes you feel relaxed. It’s the perfect place to escape the hustle of daily life and just connect with nature. To top it all off, the food was simple yet satisfying—especially the chips! 🍟 Sitting under the trees, enjoying a plate of food while surrounded by nature, was such a wholesome experience. If you’re ever in Entebbe and looking for a calm, refreshing, and nature-filled getaway, the Botanical Gardens are definitely worth a visit. 🌊🌳✨
Margiewills H — Google review
The garden is an oasis of peace and tranquility. There is a variety of stunning old trees, various species of flowers, many sorts of bird and two species of cute monkey. It's very well kept. Entrance is 20.000 shillings for foreign adults, payment is by card or mobile payment only (NO cash). There are several free toilets inside with either running water or water is provided in jugs. There are two beaches, both offer boat tours to various islands or you can take a 15 minute boat ride for 50k. At the second beach you can also sit at various cafes or bars. They have alcoholic drinks, coffee, ice cream, grilled fish and Rolex. The only negative as noted by others is that the music is extremely loud. You have to look for a spot farther from the source of the music. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised and enjoyed out time at the garden.

Great place to spend time. Take a slow stroll , forget your daily life amd I.merse yourself In. The greenery around. Sit by the side of the lake and immerse yourself in the sound of the waves. Walk a bit and you will discover a quite spot away from the shops 😉

Much vegetation to enjoy as you move around in the park. Roads could use some maintenance in some areas. We also enjoyed the monkeys. We found the entrance fees a bit high for what it’s worth.
Ricky M — Google review
Great place to explore. Use a guide. Offer $20 or more for a gratuity. It's a wonderful way to see everything, including the MONKEYS!
John R — Google review
It is a beautiful place with lovely trees, birds, and even monkeys. It could be very peaceful, but there were some loud people playing football and blasting music. This is quite disturbing and annoying for those who come here to relax, especially because the town itself is already so noisy. This should be a peaceful space to take a break from the crowded city. I also believe that the loud humans are disturbing for the animals living there. There was some police driving through the garden; I think they told the group to quiet down after a while. There were also two very cute dogs following me around, the little one even fell asleep in my arms.

It's a fine mall located in Entebbe. It has a hotel in it. There are various shops and restaurants. I am not sure if they have a swimming pool. It has a huge parking space. However I saw that the majority of the stores were empty. The area needs some dusting and cleaning. It can be as good as Victoria mall which is located nearby if it gets good attention and proper management. You can find good forex bureaus here too. It has the washroom facilities for men and women however there's no water availability in the washroom.

Huge mall, a few essential stores. Here, you'll find Riders, Cafe Caramel, "Wazalendo" (Soldier's Sacco) and etc. It's an extremely clean mall. Most locker rooms are free of occupants. Could be a great place to start up a business if you've done enough market research to know the needs of the people in Entebbe. What I love about the mall is that it's just by the main road to Entebbe international Airport which is just a few kilometers away. Across the main mall there's a craft store where you can shop a few souvenirs before flying out of Uganda. Parking space here isn't a problem at all. Unlike other malls, parking here is free of charge.

Cafe Javas in Entebbe, nestled within Victoria Mall, delivers a diverse menu full of hearty burgers, pastas, curries, and irresistible desserts like Black Forest cake and unique ice cream creations, making it a popular family-friendly spot. The generous portions and welcoming ambiance create a relaxed dining atmosphere, enhanced by generally friendly and efficient service that caters well to both regulars and first-time visitors. Although some diners feel that the food has lost a bit of its former flair and that the prices lean toward the higher end, the overall experience remains satisfying for those looking for a dependable place to enjoy familiar flavors and indulgent treats during a day out in Entebbe.

Arrived Saturday, full of people. Like full full of people. I most say, this place knows how to handle a Cafe and restaurant. Super food, no delay and super service with friendly staff. And it was total full of customers. I have newer seen a cafe operating this professional. We were served as we were the only customers in the cafe. Who ever organised this please -- well done 👍

we have been visiting this restaurant for years and as time passes the management has developed a "take it or leave it" attitude and will alienate long-time customers over tiny amounts of money. on a recent visit after telling the waitress twice exactly what we wanted, she still brought the incorrect order and then copped an attitude when we complained. we will not return again soon as prices continue to go up and service is 'hit or miss'. right next door to Javas is a restaurant that recently opened up named Nepalaya and it has similar dishes for 20% less with more friendly management. Javas has lost a loyal customer but we are sure they do not care

The major part of the review gonna be positive: spacious venue with different seating options for solo visitors and groups; airy and viewing greenery behind Victoria mall; pleasant interior with new furniturr; menu offers American, Mexican, European cuisine, desserts, coffee and massive selection of juice-based refreshment. I think it's a suitable place for having just juice cocktails and dessert with friends. Portions are generous, one can be enough for two persons. Prices are reasonable for this place, a lot of foreigners can be seen there. One star was deducted for extremely umamiable waitress. We felt that we should apologize for coming and disturbing her with our lunch. If you aren't susceptible for unfriendly staff, then you should definitely try this place.

Great Food, Great Location, Great Entertainment, Great Place for dinner before a long flight, Close to the Airport: all in one! I had the whole fish as recommended by other reviews: Best Choice but note that it takes 45 minutes to prepare. I read the other reviews about Cash Only and low exchange rate so I set my expectations accordingly and was not surprised. Really nice view of Lake Victoria if you sit outside. Clean bathrooms in building across the street. Place for your luggage if you stop on the way to the airport. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful spot to enjoy the lake view after a long day. Their whole grilled fish is something you do not want to miss. It is good for two persons, but hey, it is so succulent that one can finish it. Slow service, but with the relaxing breeze and freshly squeezed fruit juice, the hour long waiting was okay. Price wise, 3 person's dinner about 65$ all in. The darkness and the insect were the elements that ruined the charm of the place. Try to go to the place late afternoon till sunset

Food was ok and the performance was nice BUT I had a TERRIBLE experience regarding the payment. They didn't have card machine so I had to pay with cash - i told the waiter that I'm paying with dollars. GUESS WHAT? He applied the dollar rate of 3000. To add on that his attitude was so rude enough to ruin the whole experience. Better put more effort on educating the staffs on morals

The best brick-oven Italian Pizza in Uganda this place has. I've been coming here with my daughter for 14 years and we can't get enough of the damn Pizza with the great breeze from the lake. This lively and energetic establishment, known as Tipsy Cow Bar, is a delightful spot to visit. The bar and grill possess a distinctive charm that sets it apart from others. It exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, accompanied by the refreshing presence of chilled Nile Special beer.

Caution, waiters are scammers. We wanted to share a small grill plate, as we were not hungry. Just had a little appetite and wanted to snack something. The waiter told us that we should take the big grill plate. Which we refused, first in English, then in Luganda. He accepted, but brought us the big plate. We told him, that we only pay, what we ordered. The quality of the meat was terrible and I got stomachs issues. The bill included the big plate, not the small, that we ordered. The waiter insisted on the full amount of Shillings. On the pictures you can see the big plate as served and how it got back.

It's a lively and laid-back bar and grill with a vibrant open-air atmosphere, perfect for a casual night out with friends. The spot is popular for its affordable grilled meats, cold Nile Specials, and a decent cocktail selection. Guests often enjoy the local music, occasional live DJs, and the option for hookah, adding to the chilled vibe. While the staff are generally friendly and welcoming, service can sometimes be slow or inconsistent, so it’s best to go with a bit of patience or call ahead for food. Parking is limited, and a few visitors have reported minor billing issues, but overall, it’s a fun, affordable hangout spot in Entebbe if you're after good vibes over speed.

The Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre, also known as the Entebbe Zoo, is located in Entebbe Town near the international airport. Established in 1950, it serves as a sanctuary for injured and confiscated wildlife. Visitors can enjoy seeing a variety of animals such as lions, giraffes, elephants, and chimpanzees while learning about Uganda's conservation efforts. The center offers both leisure and educational tours with opportunities to participate in feeding the animals.
Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre in Entebbe is an incredible place for anyone who loves animals and nature. The staff are knowledgeable and caring, and the animals are well looked after. It’s a great place to learn about Uganda’s rich wildlife heritage while supporting conservation efforts. The environment is clean and peaceful, perfect for a family visit or a solo trip. The guided tours are informative, and you can get surprisingly close to the animals. I highly recommend it for both locals and tourists looking for a meaningful and enjoyable experience.

Excellent Service and Guides, but Needs More Wildlife & Value for Money I recently visited the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC) and had a very mixed but overall positive experience. The absolute highlight was the service provided. The staff were fantastic, and the young woman who led our tour and explained the animals was incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. Her expertise and enthusiasm truly elevated the visit. However, when comparing the UWEC to similar centers in other countries, the quantity of animals is noticeably lower. While the quality of care seems high, I felt the collection was quite limited. A major plus for me was the incredible opportunity to see the White Rhinos. That sighting alone brought me a lot of joy! The entry fee is $15, and this is where I have a slight reservation. Given the limited number of animals, I question whether the overall experience provides enough value for that $15 charge. While the guiding service is excellent, the center itself needs to be better formalized and organized to fully justify the price and live up to its potential as a national conservation center. It's a wonderful place with great people, but a stronger institutional structure and a more diverse animal collection would make it an undeniable 5-star destination.

Wow,, this place was fun spending an evening in there with animals. I personally enjoyed the following 1. Lions as they kept on roaring around the cages, people seem to move even closer 2. Cheaters they are aggressive even from their cages, 3. Elephants, I saw the two big ones and one small Elephant, friendly atmosphere in there 4. Rhino, was also rooming around though it looked ugly 5. Many other animals like giraffes, chimps, ostrich, zebras and buffalo among others. Visit the Uganda Wildlife Conservation centre today.

It looks like a huge forest — truly an unbelievable experience! The place is home to many different kinds of animals and offers a beautiful, peaceful spot to stay near Lake Victoria
Ryan M — Google review
The center emphasizes its role as a sanctuary for rescued animals and a place for education, which aligns with many visitor experiences. I commend them on the educational value, especially for children, with knowledgeable guides providing facts about the animals and conservation efforts. I must note the need for more maintenance around the grounds.

Had so much fun and food. I had no idea there was even a beach and restaurants inside and I didn't need to first go to another place. All the animals I really hoped to see where there.
TK G — Google review
I love the fact that the first animals you see are elephants They have a wide range of packages from "keeper of the day" to "behind the scenes" to give you a memorable experience. There's a beach and even though swimming is not allowed, there a spots you can utilise to unwind while watching the waves

A Lovely Place to Visit with Family This is a nice place to visit and see a variety of wild animals. The entrance fee would be fair if it included a tour guide. I also don’t think they should charge for three-year-olds. There are different kinds of wild animals such as lions, tigers, leopards, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and wild cats. The chimpanzees were especially entertaining — Otim was a real highlight! We were surprised to see long-horned cows inside the zoo as well. There are also many birds, including the crown crane, crested crane, parrots, and peacocks. They have reptiles too, although I didn’t see them — I don’t really like reptiles! There’s even a kids' play area. Overall, we really enjoyed the zoo!

Entebbe Zoo

Zoo
Entebbe Zoo, also known as the Uganda Entebbe Zoo, has a rich history dating back to 1952 when it was established by the Colonial Government of Uganda. Initially serving as a reception center for wild animals in need, it has evolved into a popular tourist destination on the shores of Lake Victoria.
Located within the basin of lake Victoria. Payments are made using mobile money which makes the process of getting in quicker. The guides are very friendly people and it has got plenty of animals for viewing. I loved the snake section, lions and giraffes live. Chimpanzee and baboons are very friendly The ostriches are quite many plus many more birds on the cages This place has so many shops inside it and restaurants and bars for those who enjoy the drinks
Conrad — Google review
Good place there are a lot of animals but they look tired and you will find monkeys around you in many places and sitting facing Lake Victoria was enjoyable the restaurant offers some dishes but I did not taste it on my second visit I will try it There are some games for children and a swimming pool as well. I am sure that that any child who visits the place will have a lot of fun.

Although Entebbe Zoo operates as a zoo, the centre’s main focus is rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating animals rescued from poachers or trafficking. Many of the animals were intercepted during smuggling attempts, saved from certain death, or found being kept illegally as pets in people’s homes. When rescued, they are brought there to be cared for, and where possible, many are returned to the wild when the time is right.
Doug H — Google review
The Zoo is created with a nice image saving animals from harsh conditions. However I highly doubt if they have better living condition in the Zoo. It is old, cages are small and dirty. The animals overfed and show 'zoo' behavior. Chimps get attracted by personal to appeal for the guests. There are massive spiders everywhere so carefull where you walk. It is a nice Zoo to spend a good few hours and see nice animals but the whole Zoo could do with some major renovations.
Marijn M — Google review
One, if not the only National Zoo operated by the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre have some of the Big Five and plenty of birds, the crane, the Chimpanzees and Gorillas as one of the key attractions. The place has since been well paved with improved spacing, walkways, kids play zone and clean area for all to seat, enjoy the blaring music, clean water shores. The meals were prepared timely and delivered on time. Pricey for anyone willing to partake if light meals. Its a great place to learn, adventure and appreciate Ugandas natural beauties in the wild at home, in a safe and quiet place. You can choose to walk solo or be guided. All to your amusement

Had really a great time, began by having a look at most of the animals, went to the beach where I had much fun and finalized my day with the amazing part of it from Rhino hotel 🥰

We stopped by just before going to the airport for our evening flight (it's like 5/10 mins away from the actual airport). We had a great visit and experience with family before saying our goodbyes. It was wild seeing large spiders along the paths having safely made their homes around the trees and bushes. Sometimes you also hear the lion' loud wild roar when they are playing with each other, it's amazing!! 😀 The restaurant by the beach to then relax and enjoy a meal after visiting or to just take a short break before continuing the visit is also an added bonus. It's definitely a recommended experience as a day trip or a visit before your flight. You will need to show your ID or passport if not a Ugandan citizen. Water bottles are not allowed, so leave this in your vehicle, and you pay just after passing security and receiving your pay ticket from the ID service desk (card payments are accepted). The staff were also lovely at helping to guide and give instructions and some information if needed or if asked. Thank you! 😎

A nice sized zoo, the animals looked well cared for. I couldn't find any lions, please remove those big spiders near the entrance, I have arachnophobia & was seriously thinking of walking straight back out but I had already paid and had to walk close to them

Riders Lounge in Entebbe is a popular establishment known for its mouthwatering burgers that are not for the faint-hearted food lover. The attention to flavorful detail in their patties is evident from the first bite, leaving you craving more. What sets this burger apart is the option to add delicious flavors with bacon, surpassing any previous experiences with bacon-wrapped patties.
Very nice place to chill out while in Entebbe or even passing through. Awesome drinks in a wide range, good parking, friendly and professional service, calm surroundings. Very neat washrooms too.

Cool place to hang in evenings. Nice but rather expensive menue. Service very nice. Clean and high standards.

Overall this place was nice but just average in my mind. Service was friendly but food took almost 1 hr. Ribs weren’t great, pasta was just ok. The vibe was clean and like a night club but overall just an average experience.

Nice little oasis after a long flight. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. And best of all a very friendly welcoming staff. Great value I would definitely stay here again!

Good location, near the airport. The quality of the food is good, but extremely slow service. Make sure you order your meal at least 1 hour ahead of your desired diner time. Lots of product sold out.

This is a homely boutique accomodation set amongst mature trees full of birds. The three bungalows are very comfortable and have a great African rustic decor, the semi below ground shower is a great touch. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Very convenient for airport, botanic gardens, golf club, beaches and Victoria Mall.

it is the most cool and quiet environment to relax in that I have ever seen. the green vegetation cover act as sound absorbers to leave you relax in natural ambiance. and it has good accessibility to the road. and they also brew the best quality coffee brand of Kagulu coffee

Located by the main road on your way to the Entebbe International Airport it is the ideal place to stay, have a drink or quick meal as you wait for your flight or loved one to arrive. The place is relatively quiet, has a very green ambience with plenty of plans which means you can enjoy fresh unpolluted air. Their prices are relatively affordable, the kitchen prepares both local and international dishes, quick snacks, desserts among others. The bar is well stocked with both local and international beers, whiskeys, rums and gins. I recommend you visit in case you are within Entebbe
Aldo E — Google review
It would have a higher rating from me but there was never any hot water in the shower in the mornings. The rating is for the good food and the way they outdid themselves on the BBQ we asked for. The bonus Christmas cake was a nice touch 😍
