The Graskop Gorge Lift Co. is a thrilling recreational area located in the stunning Graskop area of the Panorama Route, south of the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve. It offers an array of adrenaline-pumping attractions, including the world's tallest cable gorge swing and a highwire zipline spanning the gorge.
A must visit when you’re in Mpumalanga. The Forrest is absolutely breathtaking. It was a very refreshing experience. My only problem is that they didn’t allow us to bring out bottled water into the premises. Other than that, I was happy, I would definitely visit again whenever I’m in MP

Did the forest walk (using the lift in and out), and it was lovely. Very cool and quiet - apart from the occasional screams from the bungee section. Beautiful views all over. The little café on the forest floor is the first place where I've ordered hot chocolate that was actually good.

Graskop Gorge is absolutely breathtaking! The highlight is definitely the glass-front lift that takes you down into the gorge — the ride alone gives you stunning views of waterfalls, cliffs, and lush greenery. Once at the bottom, the forest trail is well laid out, with wooden walkways and suspension bridges that let you explore the indigenous forest at your own pace. The air feels so fresh and calming down there, it’s like stepping into another world. For thrill-seekers, there are ziplines and the famous Big Swing, which send you soaring across the gorge for an unforgettable adrenaline rush. Even if you’re not into extreme adventure, it’s exciting just to watch! The entire place is very well maintained, with a good balance of natural beauty and modern infrastructure. There are also restaurants, shops, and viewpoints at the top, so you can easily spend a few hours enjoying both adventure and relaxation. I loved how peaceful it felt while still being full of energy and activities. Whether you’re into photography, nature walks, or adrenaline sports, Graskop Gorge Lift Co. is a must-visit on the Panorama Route. 🌿🌊✨
Langelihle M — Google review
Beautiful and tranquil. The place is well maintained and gives nice tidbits of knowledge about the plants and wildlife that can be found in the gorge. Entrance is R70 per person, then extra for anything else you want to do (Eg. the gorge lift, zip line or bungy swing) Definitely a world class attraction, but unfortunately can get pricey quite quickly for the South African budget. The facility is wheel chair friendly and has restaurants, curios shops and local craft stalls on site.

I had an amazing time at Graskop Gorge! 🌄 The highlight was definitely doing the Big Swing it was such an adrenaline rush and an experience I’ll never forget. I hope to it again soon,Walking across the suspension bridge was just as incredible, offering breathtaking views of the gorge and waterfalls. The whole place is beautifully kept, with friendly staff and a safe, welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re in the area, whether you’re looking for adventure or just stunning scenery.

Scenic views😍🤭..R70 entrance and there's a variety of activities to do with different prices. I liked how the staff advised to get glimpse of all the activities before selecting, these include ziplining, Forest walk and bungee jumping to mention a few. I opted for 40min forest walk (R190) and is breathtaking, a beautiful way to connect with nature. There's a restaurant on site, clean lavatory facilities and friendly staff. Certainly visiting again... Travel and see the world ❤️🥹

Breathtaking taking views and experiences of zipline and big swing Very tasty home made pies, Different varieties of hot beverages to drink... Caramel fudge🤤

We visit e Gaskeop Gorge Lift on a very rainy day, but still took the glass elevator down, and enjoyed the interpretive walk. The cafe/restaurant was excellent with a particularly appealing hot chocolate! We then embarked on a hike along the escarpment with our guide, and even though it was cold and continuously rainy, we enjoyed it. In that weather it is a lot like Ireland. Upon our return, the zip line was operating with many folks enjoying that experience. The crafts art gallery and shops were high quality. There were gorgeous baskets in the art gallery.

Motitsi Falls @ Graskop Gorge Lift Co is a must-visit destination in Mpumalanga, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful day out. The area features various shops, craft markets, and a restaurant for the whole family to enjoy. Visitors can take the Gorge Lift down to the falls for a refreshing walk along the well-crafted pathway. Adrenaline junkies can also experience the Big Swing and zip line nearby.
Nature at its best. One day we'll discuss why the exorbitant entrance fees at these places.
Stanley B — Google review
Truly beautiful place, the only negative is that the first time I called to ask what time the last lift goes down and back up the lady said the last one goes down at 17:00 and then they wait for you to finish the walk then take you back up, so we drove there for an hour and half arrived at 16:30 just for the guy at the gate saying he cant let us in they are already closed, I explained to him that I called and that is not what the lady said. He told me straight up they should fire her and give him her job, I said that is not funny we drove so far and now I don't know who is lying to us. He just kept laughing and thought it was very funny. Will definitely go there again to see the waterfall but the staff need to get on the same page.
Philip H — Google review
The MOST beautiful view of all the places in Mpumalanga for me. You can go very high amd way tot the bottom of the fall with a fantastic forest walk. Very friendly staff with some nice shops and restaurant. Very clean. If you did not go here when in Mpumalanga then you aint seen nothing yet! A MUST GO!
Volmer Q — Google review
Beautiful place, just next to a lodge and for the adrenaline junkies, there is the Big Swing. There is also Gorge Lift that takes you down there into the falls for a refreshing walk in the nicely crafted walk way. This should be the first item item on your to do list when tou visit Mpumalanga. Enjoy

What a great experience and beautiful sightseeing. A zip line and jumping in the gauge makes it a great funky experience. A great visit.

Stunning view, if you are brave must try zip line and bungee jumping.

An adventure worth taking to connect to nature and feel the beauty of life. You hear the birds chirping away, smell the fresh air and scent of the forest. There are great quotes as you journey through a portion of a great forest… Graskop Gorge will definitely lift your spirit.

Experience the thrill of the "Big Swing @ Graskop Gorge Lift Co" as you plummet off a 68m high platform and reach the bottom in just three seconds. For those seeking a less intense adventure, take in stunning views of Graskop Falls from a 135m high-wire across the gorge. The facility has been upgraded since its opening in 2016, making it an ideal destination for families.
My daughter and I did the Big Swing yesterday and I give the guys at the top and bottom of our jump 11 out of 10. Reason you are the man! You kept my fear of heights safely at the top.
Inge M — Google review
I feel compelled to share my horrific experience at Graskop Gorge Lift on July 11th, 2025. I went into this experience with excitement and energy; unfortunately, I left injured, deflated, and frankly insulted by the unprofessionalism and lack of concern for my physical safety. While riding the Big Swing, it is the job of the employee at the base of the jump to bring each customer to the ground safely. Instead of this landing moment being one of excitement and joy over the experience, I was slammed into the landing dock. This left bruises and aggravated my hip. Yet, this is not the end of this story. The employee attempted to pass this off as a routine landing that caused no harm or distress, despite my expressions of injury and discomfort. I had to climb up onto the landing spot. Being undermined and dismissed while doing so only added insult to my injury. What I expected was safety. What I needed was someone to help me. What I got was the opposite. While I have yet to learn the full extent of my injuries, I am in pain. Is that what you want for your customers? Do you want people to feel insulted after they paid for a great experience? Do you want your employees to treat your customers with disregard? The employee up top were just as negligent as the employee on the landing zone since he was speaking into a walkie talkie and the employees disregarded him. The entire time I was waiting to jump the employees up top were talking and were extremely distracted so I’m not surprised that the communication was lacking between all employees. I was on a trip with my students so imagine if this would have been one of my students? For the sake of your business, I sincerely hope this never happens again to another customer. I hope to receive a refund for this experience. *the images is from the video that I purchased*

An Adventure I’ll Never Forget! If you’re looking for pure adrenaline and an unforgettable rush, the Big Swing jump is an absolute must! From the moment I stepped onto the platform, my heart was racing — equal parts fear and excitement. The staff were amazing; they made me feel safe and pumped up for the experience with their friendly guidance and professionalism. Then came the leap — wow! The split-second freefall before the swing catches you is one of the most exhilarating feelings I’ve ever had. The wind roaring past your ears, the breathtaking view rushing up at you, and that insane mix of terror and thrill all rolled into one… it’s beyond words. Once the swing kicked in, it felt like I was flying, and the view from up there made it even more magical. It’s the kind of experience that leaves you grinning ear to ear long after you’re back on solid ground. If you love adventure, or even if you just want to challenge yourself, the Big Swing is worth every second of fear for the reward of pure exhilaration. Highly recommended!
Khanyisa S — Google review
Amazing experience! This was the experience of a lifetime. The moment we arrived, we were met with friendly and helpful personnel. The jump was slightly expensive, at R650 per person. But I felt safe all the way through and therefore feel that the amount is worth every sent. I made use of the combo of Big Swing and Zip line at R750 per person. I felt that it was good value. Be sure to add a video of the big swing experience at only R200. It’s of great quality and features good drone footage to start and end your video. The restaurant served chicken burgers at R65 each, and these were tasty. The chicken strips and chips were also tasty and we enjoyed the meal overall - good way to end a great experience!

Restaurant
At Divine Foods At The View, visitors can enjoy a peaceful dining experience with breathtaking views of the gorge and clouds. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious pizzas, including vegetarian, spare rib, and bacon supreme options. Guests can also opt to stay in chalets or set up tents at the camping site to fully immerse themselves in the beautiful surroundings. The friendly staff provides exceptional service, adding to the overall enjoyment of the visit.
We recently stayed a few days in Graskop and had a very good lunch at Divine Foods by The View. This is a good local restaurant with excellent views over the escarpment and into the valley below. Menu is mostly South African with a range of popular western and vegetarian dish selections as well. During our lunch we very much enjoyed their pan fried trout and their signature Bunny Chow, a tasty lamb curry served in a home-baked bun (or upon a bed of yellow rice if preferred). Both were very good, something we'd be happy to reorder the next time around. Service was friendly and timely, prices reasonable. Would gladly return to Divine Foods for another meal next time we are in Graskop.

Wonderful location. So nice being able to have a great view while eating a great meal. We had the Mighty Meaty and Seafood Supreme pizzas as well as milkshakes. Highly recommended!

Their drinks are really delicious and their service friendly. But unfortunately the food we ordered weren't up to the same par. The food was very good looking but unfortunately didn't have much flavor to it. To their credit they at least gave us a slight discount for the food

Good cheese cake! Friendly service! The food looks really good also especially the lamb curry but we weren't hungry so we just got coffee and dessert.

AMAZING food!!! EXCELLENT service!!! I loved every moment of being here, we had the sweetest waitress and the food is so delicious, it makes me feel like I'm at home. Everything is is described as homemade and it's such an accurate description to the food, nothing tastes artificial. The view is AMAZING and makes for good photos!!! Definitely coming back next time we're in the province!!!!

Hiking Trails
The Jock of the Bushveld Trail, starting and ending in Graskop, is a recently re-launched and well-marked 8km circular hike. The trail takes about 4 hours to complete and leads to Fairy Land, featuring weathered rocks with fanciful names like the Seahorse and the Tortoise. It also passes by Sir Percy Fitzpatrick's summer camp at Paradise Camp.
One of the best hikes I did in the area The path is clearly marked for the 5km Saturday run but we went off this path and followed some old signs and tracks for the bigger hike and most beautiful views! We turned around after reaching what seamed to be the furtest point.
Raphaëlle S — Google review
I walked about 5km on a clear trail and didn’t even do the half of it. Just wanted to keep going. Walk is safe and possess very little risk as trail is clear. Solitude and fresh nature. Bit missy but views in the way back were incredible. Climbs are gentle and there are many stunning spots to stop and rest. I believe any novice can enjoy this great walk. I entered on the trail past the cemetery. But if you want safe parking stop at the municipal grounds and pay the fee.
Eugene B — Google review
The hike is one for the To Do list. It's absolutely family friendly. The trail is clearly marked and meanders through the grassfields of Graskop along the escarpment. You will be spoilt with spectacular views! There is limited shade so be sun wise with good sunscreen and and a hat, carry enough water. Spoil yourself to a waffle at the Waffle House afterwards.
Sanette M — Google review
Very easy and beautiful trail. You will have to pay an entrance fee of 15 R. at the gate of the holiday resort. There you get a lousy map witch you should follow strictly. The path is not hard to find but at every crossing there are many paths you could follow, so keep the map save! It's very easy to take the wrong path.
Lukas D — Google review
Went for Parkrun. Quite tough narrow paths ready to twist your ankle, but the scenery is awesome, almost alien. Great volunteers!
William B — Google review
There’s a surprise charge of R15 at the gate. After we paid that there was another surprise charge of R40. Then said we could only spend 30mins on the hiking trail. No thanks.
Anita K — Google review
Trail is incredibly beautiful but we got lost several times as the map and info that were given to us in the Resort reception wasn't clear at all! We were 4 people trying to look for the hiking marks. In the end we got so lost that we had to find our own way in the bushy (and amazing by the way) plains.
B — Google review
Perfect 4 hr trail. 3 hrs maybe if you never stop for a break. And yes, it is true that you get lost! The map is hard to read. But that’s part of the fun. You walk all the time on the high plateau, so you always see all the landmarks. As other have said, in the end you just walk back to the starting point, across the veld. Technically it’s an easy trail. Challenges are the heat, the sun, and mud. In summer you need 2l of water per person - they sell at the gate, but stock is limited. If you get lost too much, it might get a bit more difficult to work your way up over boulders again, but still nothing hectic. Suggest to bring a GPS app with a basic topographic map, and which records your progress as a breadcrumb trail (no, Google Maps doesn’t do that). Then you should be fine. You will likely not meet any other people on the trail. Unfortunately, the other facilities at the camp (like boating, pool) are not well maintained. But the trail is pristine clean and stunning. Your own private God’s Window.

Lift Cafe @ Graskop Gorge Lift Co offers a great experience with friendly waiters and tasty food. The cafe provides amazing views of the beautiful waterfall and the mountain. Visitors highly recommend the beef burger and Waterfall pizza, while also praising the good service. However, some suggest skipping the homemade ginger beer. Overall, it's considered one of the best lunch spots in the area with delicious food and breathtaking scenery.
Was there for lunch with my group of Australian students. Had a delicious lunch and a hot steamy Red Cappuccino with honey for the cold weather. Will be back with more guests.

Went for Christmas lunch, and our waitress, Yvonne, almost spoiled the experience for us. She appeared twice- to take our orders and to bring our food. Never to be seen again till I asked other waitresses to help. Had it been based on service, this would have gotten 1 star. I had the chicken schnitzel which was juicy and tasty. Useless Yvonne aside, the view of the gorge as you eat is wonderful, and the crackling fireplace gives it a cabin feel as you dine.
Linn M — Google review
The views and getting so close to the well maintained and protected Fauna and Flora is spectacular. The way in which they present this to you is really worth every penny. The facilities are great but a lack of atmosphere and ambiance to fit what you just experienced, is a bit out of touch and need some attention. However I need to sate that we had no bad experience with any of the clean facilities or food in the restaurant. Just making a personal observation
Johann S — Google review
Overall good experience. Got a table by the fireplace for our family as it was cold and rainy. The food and drinks were ready pretty quick and was very delicious. We were skeptical on the lamb roti and butter chicken but they were surprisingly delicious. The waiter wasn't very friendly or helpful, but mayb he was cold.
Dr D — Google review
We were not impressed with the service. The restaurant wasn’t that full however the service was very slow. One waiter seated us but it took forever for another to take our order and for our food to arrive. Had the cheese burger and it was lovely, really enjoyed it.
Thulisa M — Google review
The food and drinks take forever to be served. The staff was not the friendliest and we had a very horrible experience with my friends and I. Definitely would not recommend. I'd opt for an alternative restaurant at the Gorge. The food was decent.
Melvis M — Google review
After seeing so many bad reviews about Lift Cafe, we had no option but to come here because divine foods at the view was closed. We already had speculations about the place but to our surprise, the service was 5 star, the views were breathtaking and the ambiance was tranquil and serene. The staff were friendly helpful and the tables and floors were clean.

Just ate at the Lift Cafe, was served by Yvonne who was the unfriendliest waitress we have ever come across!! And stupid as she got our order wrong after I repeated myself twice!!! This kind of "person" if u want to call her that is very bad for your reputation especially with so many tourists!!! Rather employ friendly people who want to work!!!!

My family and I visited Canto’s Trattoria in Graskop early January 2025, and we can confidently say it was the best Italian meal we’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, the welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations. We had the pasta dishes, Pollo Zucchini, Amatriciana and Beef Lasagne—each bite was heavenly and perfectly cooked, the meal was coupled with red wine which complimented it very well. What truly made our experience memorable was the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into each dish. It’s clear that Canto’s Trattoria is passionate about authentic Italian cuisine. We can’t wait to return and enjoy another incredible meal. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Graskop! Thanks Laurentia

To say I am thoroughly impressed with the service and quality received from this establishment would be an understatement. The owner, Vince and the manager are genuine people who are on top of the staff, making sure each table is attended too. The pizza’s are of exceptional quality as they make use of fresh products daily. Strongly recommend this restaurant if you are in the town of Graskop and looking for a good, fresh, filling plate of food that won’t break the bank. Thank you for the pleasurable experience!

We ordered a pizza and seafood risotto. The food took 40 minutes to arrive. The pizza was good, but the seafood risotto was completely bland. The owner should try the food his employees prepare, because if he did, he'd know perfectly well that the rice wasn't tasty at all.

A small yet , big family vibe. The owner seated us , very friendly. The service was outstanding. The food was even beter, the portions is really worth the money and the food just melts in your mouth. The taste of the food was just ........ out of this world addicting.

Guys so I'm going to be real. It started with amazing staff , friendly, attentive, and welcoming . Then the food, we ordered a Chicken pizza and I'm going to be straightforward...BLOODY HECK! IT WAS EXQUISITE!!. The base thin, with a crispy crust. The toppings...flavourful and well balanced and placed. The flavor all together...heavenly. "ITALIAN" persons with their sub-par reviews can honestly just go back to Italy if they don't like the pizza here. By the way, prices were freaking good and more than fair. Me and my Wife LOVED IT TONIGHT!!

God's Window is a popular lookout point offering panoramic views of a forested valley, making it a paradise for photographers. Adventure seekers can indulge in activities like abseiling, river rafting, fly fishing, rock climbing, and bush walks. The area also boasts the third largest and greenest canyon in the world - Blyde River Canyon - along with other attractions like Three Rondavels and Barberton Makhonjwa Mountains.
Beautiful place! Highly recommend taking the stairs to the top if you can, but if you’re unable I promise the views from below are just as amazing. The key to come early (before rain clouds roll in) or immediately after the rain stops!

It was great. I don't post pictures or videos of the actual features so that others can go see it for themselves. You can see Mozambique from here and that's amazing. We went in July, and we could see as far as binoculars allowed. I've been here a couple of times and we couldn't see much. This period seems to be better. We enjoyed the walk up, the various available paths made it meditative and kept it fresh.

God’s Window is truly a beautiful spot, but unfortunately I visited on a foggy day and couldn’t see much of the view. Even so, the place itself is peaceful and the walkways are nice. I’d definitely recommend checking the weather before going, because on a clear day it must be absolutely breathtaking.

Mpumalanga has uncharted scenic views. A testimony of the diversity of South Africa’s nature. God’s Window & nearby views (e.g. Blyde River Canyon) are one of those unofficial wonders of the world. As regards God’s Window please don’t have unrealistic expectations of actual window from heaven, but be prepared for breathtaking views.

The walk up to the window is an adventure in itself, requiring comfortable shoes and a bit of stamina, but trust me, it's worth every step. As you ascend, the scenery unfolds, and the anticipation builds, culminating in a jaw-dropping panoramic view that will leave you speechless. The majestic vistas stretching out before you are simply indescribable – a true marvel of nature. God's Window is a must-visit destination, and I'd recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring your camera, and be prepared to have your breath taken away!

Bit disappointed how dirty and run down the place look around. Feels even dodgy in the parking lot. The entrance fee was R40 per adult. Toilets are poorly kept. The view is beautiful and it is a nice quick 30 minutes stop and walk. There are more beautiful viewing places in Mpumalanga but the name says it all - Gods Window- that’s the sales pitch. You will be disappointed if you think this is this majestic view experience, but it is worth it to visit. Make sure you also walk through the tiny rain forest whereafter your view will be better than than official “Gods Window” It is a nice walk and the walking path is will established.

Reach to the top and see for yourself why it's called "God's Window". You get to see the true vastness of nature as far as the human eye is capable to view. True marvel of nature. Beauuuutiful place to visit. The maps take you up until the parking where you pay a nominal fee (R70 pp for foreigners and i think it's half for SA nationals). Park the car and take a small hike (not long than 10-15 mins easy hike) and you reach the GOD'S WINDOW. Disclaimer: Photos don't do justice AT ALL!
Ammar M — Google review
Have you ever witnessed a truly remarkable experience? The vistas are exceptionally stunning. The trek to the location and onward to the Rain Forest is physically demanding. However, the experience is rewarding. The facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Lisbon Falls is a breathtaking 308-ft. waterfall located near Graskop, South Africa. It is the highest waterfall in Mpumalanga, with water cascading over craggy canyon walls before plunging into the gorge below. Named by European miners during the gold rush era, it offers a viewing platform near the car park at the top and an adventurous hike to its base.
Wonderful place! It’s so beautiful, and I love that you can actually walk down to it and even bathe at the bottom of the waterfall! You can also walk beside the beautiful stream that flows away from the fall
Alexander E — Google review
I prefer these falls than Berlin falls. They are beautiful and there are 3 waterfalls. The water is clear and you can see inside the river. Entrance R25 p.p if you are a South African citizen.
Carina A — Google review
B....E....A.....UUUUtiful falls. Nice and adequate parking. Do visit this place if you're in Panorama Route. The only thing I don't understand is the ticket for it. Although it's not much but i don't think it's necessary. Per person, it's R25 for SA nationals and R50 for foreigners. A local mentioned it used to be free just a few years ago. Anyway, even with the small fee, one must go. There are some local handicrafts/ souvenirs at the parking area. The view point is nicley placed to have a full view of falls and the surroundings. The scenery around the falls make it even more beautiful.
Ammar M — Google review
😍Beautiful... However the view point is incorrectly positioned,it doesn't really show the waterfall fully and the space is very limited. They should extend it to parts they currently restricted access to because that's actually where the view point is clearer and breathtaking. A tour bus came and there wasn't enough space to fit everyone had to quickly leave to make room for incoming tourists which for me was unfair because I didn't pay to spend 2 seconds there, the view point really needs to be extended. The waterfalls are really beautiful ❤️
Patience S — Google review
There is no trail. You pay R25 per person to the water fall from the top of the hill. Should you choose to go beyond the fence and try the trail it is at your own risk.
Zaynudeen M — Google review
Simply amazing. Took a walk about halfway done the walking track to get a slightly better view.

When in Mpumalanga, one must definitely visit Lisbon Falls. The short hike down offers incredible views and the sound of the waterfall echoing through the valley is just amazing. A perfect stop for nature lovers and photographers alike.

The Pinnacle Rock is a stunning 30-meter quartzite tower surrounded by lush forest, offering panoramic views from a nearby platform. Located along the Panorama Route, it provides an awe-inspiring backdrop for nature enthusiasts. This hidden gem is often overlooked by tourists, making it a tranquil spot to soak in the natural beauty. The surrounding area also features attractions like Mac Mac Falls, Pilgrim's Rest, God's Window, Blyde River Canyon, and Bourke's Luck Potholes.
Since the weather was rainy and everything foggy. We couldn’t see the rock. I am giving 5 stars as the security at the entrance kiosk suggested that nothing will be visible your money would go wasted.

It is nice small place to discover with 1 huge rock in middle and water fall, landscape close by. Entrance fee for international tourist is 60 baht
LINH S — Google review
Pinnacle Rock is a hidden gem in Mpumalanga! The short walk to the rock is easy and scenic, and the views are simply breathtaking. The 30-meter tall quartzite rock is a stunning sight, and the surrounding indigenous forest adds to the natural beauty. I was also impressed by the lovely waterfall nearby, which was a lovely bonus. The entrance fee is reasonable, and the facilities are clean and well-maintained.

Stunning views. Well kept and clean. Just take your own toilet paper
Chantal H — Google review
There are way better stops at the panorama route. It’s a nice rock but that’s it. Only visit if you really want to see this rock with your own eyes. Better spend more time at Gods Window or drive to Lisbon Falls. (You’ll also not spend a lot of time at Lisbon Falls but it’s more spectacular than this rock)
Niek H — Google review
A natural skyscraper,Sandton has nothing on this beautiful natural phenomenon. The view is breathtaking from every angle, and the serenity of the surrounding forest makes you feel completely at peace.Standing there, you can’t help but admire how effortlessly powerful and graceful nature can be. The mist rolling across the cliffs adds a magical touch, almost like the mountain is breathing. If you love scenic spots, fresh air, and raw natural beauty, The Pinnacle Rock is an absolute majestic.

The Glass House Restaurant in Graskop offers a charming and intimate dining experience. The owner, Abe, is known for being welcoming and sweet to everyone. The restaurant serves simple yet delectable South African meals that are described as home-cooked. Visitors can enjoy generous portions of delicious food while sitting outside on the veranda with their dogs. It's a wonderful place to dine and is highly recommended for those looking for a tasteful and inviting Lowveld dining experience.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was excellent – the older gentleman who served us was not only attentive but also incredibly humorous. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. And the food – absolutely delicious! Freshly prepared, tasty, and perfectly portioned. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing evening at this special restaurant! It was as if we were personally invited at Abe his house. He was most warm hospitable and friendly. He took our orders with a lot of humor. The food was excellent. There were also a lot of Dutch guests. You have to make reservations because Abe seems to prefer to keep the service and quality of more importance then serving as much customers as possible.

Very nice location and friendly service. The wines were excellent and plenty. The traditional dishes tasted good. However the meat was overcooked and definitely not juicy. Maybe I was unlucky. Still I would recommend going there.

++ No words needed 🤩 ++ We have been there in total four times during our vacations in SA. Two times on our vacation 2018, one time 2020 and last Wednesday in 2024. Every time we were really satisfied of the food, drinks and especially the service. You can’t describe it. You have to experience it for yourself. Abe and the lady are such a good team and they really care a lot about their guests. The chef and the kitchen are fantastic. The ambient is so awesome. The music fits and the setting with the tables too. The food is just amazing. It’s not too much on the menu. The right amount of dishes. The quality of the meat is really nice. 👉 Of course we can recommend the restaurant. I would say it’s one of our personally Top 10 we visited in the world so far. Thanks for having us and all the best for you 💚 —— ⚠️ Feedback with less than four stars I can’t get serious. This is just not the truth ☝️

We've just left here after a fantastic dinner with the 6 of us. We've made a reservation as soon while we booked our trip to South Africa and Graskop., about 7 months ago. Mr. Abe remembered that and welcomed us with a big smile and kindness. The meals were abolutely fantastic. We've enjoyed our time every second we've been there. Thank you for your service, your excellent meals and humor while serving. As promised we will come back if we visit Graskop in the future again.

Excellent food! Everything was delicious, the food and desserts. The glass of wine is very generous. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The decoration makes you realize you are in africa. It is hard to have a restaurant with such great food with a great price. So don't miss the chance to visit this place for a wonderful experience

This is the best restaurant in Graskop with great food, service from the owner, making sure everyone is welcome and everything goes smoothly. The menu has a range of greatest hits with oxtail, trout, lamb, steak, pork all featuring. We went twice for dinner and enjoyed it each time. Had smoked trout , chicken salad, oxtail soup for starters. Oxtail, trout, babootie, lamb chops. Malva and bread and butter pudding. It is great value and portions are big, food and drink. The lamps on the tables add to the atmosphere and help survive loads shedding. There is only one street parking outside on marked parking spaces.

This most amazing shop with the most amazing people and the most amazing silk garments! When you visit this shop these ladies are not only warm and welcoming... They are very knowlegeable and they give you a lesson on the silk process from the beginning of the silk worm to the beautfully crafted final garment. I purchased a beautiful vibrant warm silk scarf for myself and a silk wrap for my mother... After the purchase the real beauty emerge... The Spirit of God and the energy of love came forth and the women broke out in song... And although we did not know the language... We knew it was worship and we joined in! To God be the Glory! Africa silk was not just a silk experience... It was a soul experience!

Penny was extremely friendly and hospitable. Thanks, Penny. The fig and pecan pancake was tasty, the scones were tasty, but it needed to cool down sufficiently before serving. The place was full, but still a lovely atmosphere, nice soft music in the background as well.

Quick Takeaways 🥞 Clean, tidy, and well-presented restaurant with a wide pancake selection 😊 Friendly, English-speaking staff and quick service 🚗 Plenty of on-street parking and clean toilet facilities 📶 Good WiFi and a solid range of drinks available 🥩 Includes a small biltong shop selling water, sweets, chutneys, and other local items 🍽️ The Bobotie pancake was excellent — rich, flavourful, and highly recommended 💰 Prices are reasonable; ideal for a quick, satisfying bite Full Review The restaurant is clean, tidy, and well presented, offering a comfortable and welcoming setting. There’s a good variety of pancakes to choose from, catering to both savoury and sweet tastes. Service was prompt and friendly — as is typical across South Africa, the staff spoke excellent English and were warm and attentive. There’s plenty of on-road parking, and the restaurant provides reliable WiFi, clean toilets, and a decent drinks selection. A nice extra touch is the adjoining biltong shop, which also sells small essentials like bottled water, sweets, chutneys, and local snacks. I ordered the Bobotie pancake, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly spiced, full of flavour, and so good I could have happily eaten another. It’s a great spot to stop for a quick and affordable meal, and I left thoroughly impressed by both the food and the friendly atmosphere.

I'm a sucker for pancakes and these were THE best I've ever had. They are light and fluffy, but also thick! They are between a flapjack and the traditional thin pancake, but they still manage to be airy and tasty. I hope to find a recipe for them, but I reckon Harrie's will always do it better! The jaffles are also delicious and are well-stocked with filling. Would highly recommend. If you are particularly hungry, a jaffle followed by a pancake for dessert will definitely satisfy, but either one will fill you up too! The prices are very reasonable and the staff are exceptionally friendly and efficient. Will definitely rush back when I'm in the area again!

Great food and service at Harrie's Pancakes. Graskop is a tourist town en route to Kruger National Park so deals with large groups and busloads. Despite this the service is fast and staff friendly and attentive. Loved the wood fireplace. I ordered a butternut and feta jaffle R120 which was tasty and served as an old school jaffle iron style. It came with a side of chips which had a nice seasoning on it. The sweet capsicum sauce was especially good. There is a small Biltong deli as part of the cafe and good toilet facilities. Also loved the portrait photos of the staff on the wall. Great lunch stop!
Timeshare C — Google review
A friend recommended the Nutella pancakes at Harrie’s, and they exceeded every expectation. Rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced, it’s one of those treats that’s beyond describing, you simply have to taste it yourself. Just a tip: order only one, because it’s incredibly filling! An absolute recommendation for anyone passing by, you won’t regret it.

We were really looking forward to this place after hearing the tour guide rave about it, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. The food was very poor, the beer was warm, and we received the wrong meals. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. If you’re visiting this town, I’d recommend exploring other options—there are plenty of better places around.

This review is a bit old. Went here as a group tour. Had the wildebeest skewers. Food was flavorful but the meat was bit tough and chewy.
