Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
The Storms River bridge, a concrete deck arch bridge towering 394 feet above the river, was constructed in the 1950s. It is a key stop along the Garden Route, offering breathtaking views and serving as the starting point for exploring the Tsitsikamma forest. The area is rich in history, with its pass through the Storms River gorge following ancient elephant migratory routes and built with convict labor in 1884.
To visit, turn into the petrol station and shops. There's plenty of safe parking available. From there you can do a loop walk across the bridge. There's connecting walkways that go underneath the bridge on both ends so you can cross from one side to the other. There's also a view point behind the shops.

Another one of my favorite camping spots. We had an ocean view camp spot. Also there are many hiking trails to enjoy at the park. The reason for only 3 stars are: The wood fence on the walkway in front of the camp site is in dire need of repairs. The building of the new restaurant/shop has been going on for years. Not sure when will be finish.
Eugene D — Google review
Amazing! South Africa has so much beauty and this spot is definitely up there! We loved walking the bridge and seeing the view. It's beautiful!

This was a bucket list item more many years, and I was very excited to finally experience this amazingly beautiful and scenic hike and take a picture on that iconic suspension bridge. We went early, so we had no delays at the office and could get parking close to the starting point. They are busy with construction, so that was a bit of a bummer. The hike is apparently 1 hour. We took about 1h30min. There are a lot of steps, but the hike itself is not too tough. Just be careful for wet areas as the path can be slippery. Some of the railings are loose, and at the outdoor classroom, the one poster was totally faded. With so many visitors, you would expect that to be an easy and quick fix.... but we go for the experience and what a memorable experience it was. Put this on your to-do list.

Despite the rain and mist it was still worth the visit. Stunning scenery and an important environment. It's about an hour round trip walking from the carpark with lots of steps. I was glad of stout walking shoes. The Cattle Baron Restaurant there was good also.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Big Tree Tsitsikamma is a must-visit attraction located in the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp within the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park. The camp offers various accommodation options, including log cabins, forest huts, cottages, and chalets to suit different budgets. Visitors can explore the green trail leading to the impressive Big Tree and continue their adventure on the yellow and red trails for a looped forest walk experience. The 2.
The forest walk to the big tree is lovely. It's not a long walk, and a lot of it is a wooden boardwalk. It is also a circular walk, so you see different things going in and coming out. The walk crosses over a stream. The forest was fresh and clean. The place is well-maintained. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. There's a nice curio shop and the bathrooms were clean. The tree itself is magnificent! Well worth seeing. Look out for moss, mushrooms, and ferns while you're walking. The forest is healthy.
Toni H — Google review
Lovely forest, very tranquil and beautiful. Don't know what I expected from the tree but it was a little underwhelming. However a good pit stop on a long drive to stretch your legs!
Aimee — Google review
The Big Tree is a truly magical spot and well worth a visit! The short forest walk leading to the tree is peaceful and beautifully shaded, filled with birdsong and the smell of the indigenous Tsitsikamma forest. When you reach the Big Tree itself, it’s breathtaking — over 800 years old and towering high above, a reminder of nature’s incredible power and beauty. The path is well-maintained and easy for all ages, with clear signage and a calm, serene atmosphere. A must-see stop along the Garden Route for anyone who loves nature and history.
Adele D — Google review
Definitely worth a visit we did the 7km blue walk not a hard hike at all about 2 - 2.5 grade up hill but not hard The big tree is only 200 meters from the car park you can do 2 hikes a 2km walk or a 7km walk or just walk to the Big tree worth the money
Lindsay S — Google review
There is ample parking Do make sure that if you are a South African Citizen to have proof of Citizenship. A bonus is if your accommodation is in the village or at a surrounding area have it on hand, otherwise you will pay more. The walk to the big tree is easy and well maintained. SAN Parks do indeed take pride in the parks and that includes that it is clear and safe.
Yolande B — Google review
Great walk, very beautiful with a large variety of plants and birds. Trail is pretty well kept. Just disappointed that they have no way for people that cannot walk that far, to get to the tree. We were told it is flat with one or 2 steps, which was not true. There are multiple steps that make it impossible to use a wheelchair, even thought the trail is wide enough.
Nadia S — Google review
Area was clean neat and well maintained. Pity there is still people that write on everything. Nice walk. The guy at the gate selling tickets looks like Siya Kholisi LOL
Mynhardt J — Google review
Definitely worth a visit if you’re already in the area for another attraction. The walk is easy and leads you to a truly impressive tree — its size and presence are absolutely remarkable! A quick stop that leaves a big impression.

Plaatbos Walks

Hiking area
Plaatbos Walks, located near Storms River Village, provide easy access to stunning walks in the indigenous forest. The marked trails and historic Storms River Pass offer three color-coded routes: yellow (8km), red (7.5km), and green (5km). Along the way, hikers can enjoy a beautiful old bridge with a nearby picnic area. The Goesa walk is particularly noteworthy for its jungle-like indigenous forest, drinkable streams, and large ferns.
A historic road through the indiginous Tsitsikama forest. Just stunning!
Marla W — Google review
Such a priviledge to walk through this beautiful forest! Walkways over streams have been replaced recently, except one ... I did not pay attention and fell spectacularly on my first step as it was super slippery. All fun and games... It was lovely!!

The Goesa walk was a wonderful and beautiful sight. If you're into indigenous forest that feels like a jungle, with drinkable streams and ferns as big as you are then this is really great. You don't really need to be fit either.

(Translated by Google) Nice path if you want to walk in the woods, you don't really see anything else. The tour is easy, not steep and with good paths. We walked the yellow route which took us to a nice rest point, the total route was 13km (including walking to the car). At first you think you are going the wrong way if you walk along the leopard route, but you just have to keep walking.

Had a fantastic morning doing the Woodcutter’s on Foot with Sibu! It was such an awesome way to start the day. The indigenous forest is just stunning and Sibu was so knowledgable about the flora and fauna. He has incredible eyes too - spotted a teeny tiny chameleon from metres away as we were walking! The lunch provided was also perfect. Thank you for such a great walk :)

I had an amazing time on the zip line canopy tour! The forest is absolutely beautiful, and the experience was unforgettable. There are 10 zip lines of varying lengths and speeds, which made it exciting and fun. The two guides were professional and made me feel safe the entire time. The staff was incredibly friendly, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing guided hike through the Tsitsikamma Nationalpark with our wonderful guide Emo! We’ve seen plenty of chameleons and learnt so much about the ecosystem, the birds, trees and flowers and even snakes. 10/10! Such a beautiful experience, we’re still in awe by how lovely this morning hike was. We did a 4-5 hour tour (roughly 12 km). Would highly recommend doing this guided hike if you want to know more about the local flora & fauna. Our guide Emo even carried a book about birds in his backpack to show us the birds that we heard - how heartwarming is that? Thank you Emo for everything you taught us!

I highly suggest visiting the Stormsriver Arts & Craft Centre. The artist shares the stories and meanings behind his artwork, providing an authentic experience. You can even observe him painting, showcasing his impressive talent. He gladly explains his craft and the materials he uses. Although cash is the only accepted payment method, there is an ATM conveniently located nearby. Supporting this local business is definitely worthwhile as Israel is a remarkable artist at this shopping mall.
Really artistic and friendly owner. Cosy shop with hand made art. We bought a beautifull painting which folds into our flight bagage. Would recommend a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

I can highly recommend Israels Arts & Craft store. He told me his stories behind the pictures and what they mean to him. It is very authentic. I had the chance to watch him paint a little bit too, he is very talented. He is more than happy to explain his craft and materials being used. Pay with cash only, but there is an ATM nearby. If you want to support a local business, Israel is the Man to go!

Do not support this business. We were scammed!!!!! The sales person misled us into believing that they have Segway scooters. We made our booking for 16h30. Upon arrival we were advised that they only have scooters and not Segway scooters. I told the sales person that he misled us and that we wanted a refund. He said that he is not authorised to give refunds as it is not his business. I then asked to speak to the owner, but the owner was not available, we tried to phone them but could not get hold of them. I went to the police and they accompanied us back to Mild to Wild. The Sgt. asked the sales person to refund us as we paid for a service and did not receive the service. The police also tried to contact the owner to no avail. We were advised by the police that they receive alot of complaints from tourist’s regarding this same matter and advised us to contact the tourism board and also open a civil case. We are in the process of doing so. Feel so scammed by this company and sad that a Tsitsikamma Village, has an establishment like this operating in this area.

Restaurant
Taste Restaurant and Farmstall is a charming spot with a cozy atmosphere, featuring a traditional fireplace and lovely decor with paraffin candles and fairy lights. The art gallery and curio shop add to the unique experience, offering handcrafted items with great attention to detail. The menu boasts family recipes for Cape Malay classics and other unfussy dishes made from local ingredients. The friendly team creates a warm and welcoming environment, while the house wines are served generously.
The food here is really good. You can tell they have taken a lot of time designing the menus and perfecting the recipes. The meatballs were very tasty and were plenty for our 9 year old, a hungry adult would have likely wanted a bit more. The 300g ribs were delicious and super tender. The chicken curry was very, very flavorful and mild. And the meat pie was probably everyone's favorite, bursting with flavor and so very tender.
Noah V — Google review
We had a quick lunch at Taste. The service was not great but the amazing food well made up for it. The best steak pie we have ever had in South Africa loaded with meat. The Italian frikkadles were great and the chicken mayo on the farm bread was tasty.
Richard B — Google review
Had a good lunch, traditional South African food, very pleasant with the fire place going on a cold winters morning.
Buks K — Google review
Loved this little gem. Especially with the traditional fire place that warmed the place up during winter, and paraffin candles and fairy lights regardless of the lights being on, made for a cozy atmosphere. The art gallery and curio shop were also a great addition. I bought a cute hand knitted poncho and you can see that each item each artist has made is done with great attention to detail. The pea soup was to die for, I came back to the restaurant to get another one the following day. The chickpea and bean curry was also not too shabby, and the bean soup was also good yet the pea soup was the star of the show. The soups were also given with a little mini loaf of (I'm assuming) hand baked and made bread which provided a very hearty meal. Their menu catered to different diets including the vegan diet. The service was very friendly and they also offered me a voucher for my next purchase (that does not expire). Wheelchair friendly slope next to stairs.
Nosipho M — Google review
Really GOOD food at great prices…I believe it would be wrong to use the word “cheap” so let’s just say amazing value for money. Amazing farm-style decor and atmosphere. Great little gift shop with plenty to see and take home. Oh and, last but not least, a GOOD custom Masterton’s coffee blend…
Antonroland E — Google review
Possibly the closest you'll get to a home-cooked meal along the garden route: the menu is full of family recipes for Cape Malay classics, plus other unfussy dishes making the best of local ingredients. The team is just great here, so effortlessly warm and welcoming - when your hosts are so good at their job, then it's very easy to relax. The house wines were enjoyable (and served in generous measures). The bobotie and the fish cakes were especially memorable. You'll notice that meat is the main focus here - there are not many lighter dishes centered on fresh salad or vegetables. There is a shop selling local crafts and art adjoining the restaurant.

Restaurant
Papa Africa, also known as Not Woodfired Pizza, is a hidden gem located in Storms River Village. The restaurant boasts a beautiful and unique location under huge trees. The ambience and interior are tasteful and special, making it a must-visit spot. Visitors rave about the fantastic wood-fired pizza with customizable toppings that allow the flavors to shine. The thin crust pizza melts in your mouth and is highly recommended by patrons.
This place is awesome, simple pizza menu - crispy thin pizza base with 4 toppings There was one lady running the Saturday night food and drinks service, clearing up and music and she was never without a smile
Fiona G — Google review
Small Pizzeria for dine in or take aways, they have a crisp thin based kind of pizza that was not a winner for me, a bit too crispy because it was almost toasted, plus point is it was wood baked and tasty. They offer a base pizza and you choose the four toppings you want on the pizza Maybe we went at the wrong time because only one waitress knew the entire operation and she instructed and showed the pizza makers how to make the pizza’s showed the other waiters how to do the orders and payments. She is the entire operation, but very friendly and helpful, seems like they lost some staff members recently The place looked like an an old patched up shop it seems with a lot of elements thrown together and not carefully placed to create a flowing decor and vibe feeling, but all in all I would go back again. They also have a big screen and you can enjoy a drink while watching live sport on the day broadcasted.
Jul B — Google review
This is a hidden Gem in Storms River, by far THE best pizza I have ever had. Base was super thin which allowed the flavors of the toppings to really shine, a must try. You choose your own toppings which makes the experience better. Don't judge a book by it's cover, place might not look like anything, but it's amazing
Chantel O — Google review
First visited Papa Africa Pizza in 2014 and every time we go to Storms River, this is our first stop! Our last visit was June 2021. Their wood fired pizza is fantastic. Choose your own four toppings, reasonably priced and the staff super friendly and welcoming. Base might be crispy but this pizza melts in your mouth! 💘 Assortment of beers, local and craft and a great stop for photos ! Great vibe 👌
Tania M — Google review
A pizza place with a back packers meets trendy vibe. The pizzas are good, the beers are cold (local with some craft and international), and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great for a quick dinner and photo op. Since you decide on your toppings (you choose four from a detailed list), the vegetarian options are endless. They also have a coffee machine for your caffeine itch.
Harrie E — Google review
1. The restaurant is called Papa Africa and not woodfired Pizza. Even the owner was laughing that someone created a second restaurant on Google maps and so many people are reviewing actually the wrong place / duplicate. 2. Storm river village is a gem. The restaurant is located in a side road unter some huuuuge trees. Very beautiful and unique location. 3. Ambience and interior is also very tasteful but special and we liked it a lot. Beside the big pizza oven which is warming up the whole place there is another fire place in the middle of the restaurant that the owners put on if it gets colder. 4. Pizza is 120 ZAR with 4 ingredients of choice, tomato sauce and cheese is already included. Plenty of choices and it tasted very good. Can't not really compete with Pizza in Italy but def. with all foreign pizza places. 5. Owners are like out of a movie, looked like these good people you meet on a farm in the middle of nowhere, caring for each other, the nature and everything. Without all the bad influence from modern media. We saw Daddy taking care of the little girl and sipping espresso with one of the kids. So harmonious and well-raised children. Wife made beautiful espresso as they have the best Profi tools in the restaurant. Absolutely recommended of you stay in Storms River! All the best, we will come back one day.

A great pit stop just off the road after Storms River. The display of Elvis memorabilia is awesome. They have an interesting menu, and a collection of old motor bikes, plus a micro-brewery.

Some of the BEST chicken strips i have ever eaten. Only took pics of the motorcycle and car collection. Friendly street dog for good luck.

We stopped here on our way to a wedding in PE. Best decision ever! Great food and awesome vibes! You can also take pictures with 60s memorabilia! Recommend!
Leone C — Google review
The food is disgusting. I felt sick after eating 1 of the chicken wings which I luckily stopped eating as they tasted weird. The decor is fun but this is a wasted opportunity and could be a goldmine with proper diner food.

What a wonderful experience! Nostalgic! Such beautiful, friendly staff, great food and wonderful ambiance with the 60's music in the background. Very good prices and true diner size meals. Super value for money! A must so for anyone visiting this area.

We only got some hot drinks but we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Decor is done well and the menu has a big variety. The service was a bit slow but as we were on holiday we did not mind a bit of a wait. It is a nice place to take some cute pics photos. The bathrooms were clean.

A Fantastic Experience 😍 I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours. It was my first time doing a zipline canopy tour, and I truly loved every moment of it. The thrill of gliding through the lush forest, surrounded by breathtaking views, was unforgettable. A huge shoutout to our guides, Lizette and Janice. They were incredibly professional, well-trained, and made the entire adventure feel safe and enjoyable. Their enthusiasm, knowledge, and friendly attitude added so much to the experience. If you’re looking for an exciting and well-organized adventure, I highly recommend Tsitsikamma Canopy Tours! Can’t wait to do it again!

Amazing experience 🤩 Stunning scenery of the rain forest so lovely😌💚 It was exciting. I was nervous at the beginning, but I enjoyed every moment😁 Facing my height fears like boss 😅💪 The lead guide Babalwa and safety lead Lavern did a fantastic job of making us feel safe and secure, entertained, and well informed throughout the whole journey 🫶 The walk at the end tho...😅 just know it's up hill but fun take your time, no stress 👍 I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a forest adventure🌲

An unforgettable adventure! The Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour was pure fun from start to finish. The guides were friendly, professional, and made everyone feel safe. Zipping between giant Yellowwood trees high above the forest was absolutely breathtaking. Everything was well-organised, safety-focused, and eco-friendly. A must-do experience on the Garden Route.

Could have been more exilerating (I have been on faster ones) but amazing exp with the views of the forest and trees & natural beauty seen

What an exhilarating experience of note ! In the pursuit of an adrenaline adventure, you will find breathtaking serenity, unparalleled peace and previously unexplored exhilaration. Our guides were very informative and funny, which eased the nerves when gliding down the fastest zipline. This is a must visit, highly recommendable.
Jutta H — Google review
Fantastic guides. Safety was a top priority. My youngest was nervous about some of the longer ziplines, and the guides were very patient and supportive. Lots of photos were taken by them with the Go Pro. Unfortunately, we did not see them. It's an amazing family experience, especially if you have not done zip lines before and are not sure of your child's confidence level. We went in the winter season, so it was quiet.

River Rafting & Tubing
Such a great experience! We did the red tour (6 hours in total, about 4.5 on the river) with a small group of 4 people. Our guides, Richard and Justin, were amazing!! They deserve a raise 👏🏻 Very experienced and fun. Water levels were sufficiently high but there was a bit of climbing in-between pools, as well. So a decent level of fitness is recommended. The views and nature down at the river are just beautiful. We loved every second of our tour, thank you guys! Cheers, Eva & Julien
Eva M — Google review
Lots of fun for the whole family. Well informed guides. They even have hot showers available for after tubing session.
Gaenor U — Google review
We had a lot of fun! Ross and Darren were our Guides. They took care of our safety at all times!! The landscape is beautiful, the food was good. The guides have been great. Friendly and joking personalities, but reliable in "dangerous" situations. No one got hurt, all had fun.
Kim R — Google review
We had a fantastic time doing the Red Route tubing experience! Our guides Richard, Luke and Justin were very professional and ensured we had lots of fun while keeping us safe. I cannot emphasise enough how brilliant our guides were! The river and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We were lucky that the water levels were perfect for tubing on the day we went. The Red Route included tubing, rock scrambling, optional jumps as well as walking to the start and end points. The whole experience is quite active, would recommend eating a solid breakfast beforehand. We got to see the suspension bridge and ended with a lovely hot shower at the beach before driving back. 10/10 would highly recommend!
Renee J — Google review
Always been on my bucket list...we were a little disappointed, but probably because it was different than what we expected. Floating down the gorge and rapids were mostly fun. We did one cliff jump which was great, the rest were all tube jumps. Felt the guides could have given people a bit more guidance here. Most people jumped with their tubes level to the water which definitely hurt them a little (as opposed to jumping slightly angled like a banana). The trip ended with a very long backwards row out the gorge. This spoiled the experience for me and now all I remember about the trip i.e. it is a long and hard row out that will leave your muscle sore for a day or two. We did the LONG red route, my suggestion would be to rather consider the shorter routes.
Ruaan H — Google review
I absolutely loved this adventure! Please be realistic with your fitness level, because it can take a toll on your body. We had the amazing guide Richard, who was so understanding and you could tell his love for the river. Ross was also a sweet guide, and I loved bullying him. The guides do have a waterproof camera, but buy a waterproof case for your phone, its 100% worth it. They sell them at the reception as well. Also, please support the restaurant, the food was amazing.

It is a must do. We did the Red route and you can't get more beautiful nature sights and adventures. Guides is most friendly and is helping very nicely.

This was the best activity I've done in a while. Simply amazing in all respects. That river and the trees are so special. The guides are just incredible. Kudos to this business for doing so well even in these tough pandemic times !! You rock. We did the long tour ( red tour ) and spent at least 4 hours on the water. GREAT VALUE for money. It's basically a day long activity and an adventure for the entire family. Do yourself a favour and do it !! For me- this is the best adventure on offer in the area.

Suspension Bridge

4.7
(1301)
Bridge
The Suspension Bridge is a must-see attraction in Tsitsikamma National Park, located along the renowned Garden Route. This 77-meter-long bridge offers stunning views of the Storms River mouth and the Indian Ocean below. The moderate walk to the bridge passes through dense forests and provides plenty of lookout spots for resting and photo opportunities. The well-maintained wooden pathway leads visitors to this breathtaking suspension bridge, offering an unforgettable experience amidst nature's beauty.
A Stunning Suspension Bridge Experience 🤩🤩 Visiting the suspension bridge is always an amazing experience, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The walk to the bridge is well-designed, with clear walkways, signage, and stairs, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. The views are simply unforgettable—whether it’s the dramatic landscapes, the lush greenery, or the incredible wildlife and birdlife that keep you captivated along the way. We visited in the evening, and the light drizzle added a magical touch to the scenery, making the experience even more special. Driving in from Nature’s Valley made for a scenic and enjoyable journey as well. The peaceful atmosphere in the early morning makes it even more special, though it can get quite busy around lunchtime when tour buses start arriving. No matter how many times I visit, there’s always something new to discover, and I’ll definitely keep coming back 🔙 😎
Rajesh Y — Google review
They feel small once you get there (when your reference are the photos in the internet). But the view is gorgeous and the lookout point after them offer an amazing experience - beware that the trail is intense to get to the lookout point.
Fábio A — Google review
Really beautiful hike to the suspension bridges as part of the Tsitsikamma National Park. It takes about an hour to walk mostly uphill to the bridges. Some parts are quite steep. The bridges are not too high over the water but they do rock and sway a lot especially when there are too many people on it at the same time. Water is a stunning blue. Lots of Cape Hyrax / Dassies to see on the way up.
Timeshare C — Google review
The walkway to the bridge is well-constructed & safe and the views are absolutely breathtaking. I was afraid at first but gained confidence after the first bridge and conquered my worst fear here so I'm chuffed. I recommend this as a challenge and a wonderful experience for your bucket list!
Toni C — Google review
The Suspension Bridge at Tsitsikamma is an unforgettable experience! The walk through the lush indigenous forest is absolutely beautiful — full of ferns, birds, and ocean views — and the well-built pathways make it enjoyable for most fitness levels. Crossing the bridge itself is thrilling, with the ocean rushing below and waves crashing into the gorge. The scenery is breathtaking from every angle, and there are plenty of photo opportunities. It’s one of those iconic South African spots that truly captures the beauty of our coastline. A must-do when visiting Tsitsikamma National Park!
Adele D — Google review
An amazing experience. Prepare for a strenuous hike of 1km with steep stairs to get to the suspension bridge. Lots of places you stop, sit and taking in the amazing views. So worth the effort.
Venessa G — Google review
Don't mind the big construction, the bridges are open. Beautiful hike from the end of the bridges up the hill. Worth it but trail is not stopping, turn around at the bench or a little bit higher at the field's.
Leon B — Google review

The Blue Duiker Trail is a 3.7-kilometer path that offers stunning views of the Outeniqua Yellowwood and takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete. It leads through a lush forest and ends at the start of the Otter Trail. Keep an eye out for blue duikers in the area.
Beautiful trail in the tsisikama forest. Highly recommend
Werner P — Google review
A well walked route and an excellent representation of the natural forest. The exposed roots of forest trees make for tripping if you are not vigilant, but we loved it. We saw a boomslang on the trail with its large eyes and lighter coloured belly but it scurried away quickly to safety. A hike that can be done in tackies or comfortable shoes for children and adults alike.
Richard M — Google review
The views will blow you away. Protected nature reserve with a hang bridge over lagoon entering the ocean. From the top of the hang bridge you sometimes view ocean animals like rays, schools of fish and Sand Tiger Shark. You can also take a swim along your way in mountain water or in the ocean. Just beautiful!

Loved this place. Serene and blue. Be prepared to trek and explore the place. Ensure proper footwear so that you do not kill your legs. Hot during the day but windy enough to keep you away from that heat.
Vineet C — Google review
It's an alright hike, difficulty level easy to medium I would say. Would only recommend it if you already done everything else in the park because it is missing the "wow" effect or any reward other then the walk in itself.

Blue Duiker Trail is situate within Storms River National Park. To me it is a magical place and I return there regularly. Apart from beautiful sea scenery, comfortable rustic bungalows and camping space, several hiking trails start here. Blue Duiker is a shorter trail and not difficult to walk.

Beautifull hiking trail with a couple of steep climbs and descends. We saw a "rooikat" 9 Knysna louries, Yellow Throated Warblers, Chorister Robins, Olive Woodpeckers and a vast range of mushrooms and frogs. Best if walked early in the morning.

Professional instructors, good gear and service with a smile. Our guides were so good to us, showing us how to be safe, telling us about the history through the canyons and keeping spirits high. The overall experience was phenomenal, kayaking through a cut of ocean, moving into the canyons. Drifting on lilos and jumping of cliffs. I highly recommend this service and if you get the time, visit the parks and walks nearby. Extra note: Prepare to hit a toll gate going through to Plettenberg bay side and paying conservation fees at the park entrance.

We did a kayak tour up the river which was amazing! The views were one of a kind! Very friendly and helpful staff with great experience to keep everyone save. As it was raining and quite cold so we rented wetsuits which were in good condition. The ocean was rough so we hiked to the bridge to start the tour from there. Our guide Clinton made sure everyone was comfortable with the kayak and explained a lot about the gorge. Further down we swapped the kayaks for air mattresses and floated the last shallow bit. Overall a great experience we highly recommend!

Nestled along the stunning coastline, Tsitsikamma Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that perfectly complements your journey through the Garden Route. The Tsitsikamma Platter is particularly popular, featuring fresh hake fillet, prawn skewers, and calamari paired with savory rice and tartar sauce—an excellent value for money!
Lovely food, I opted for a vegetarian platter for R95, it was delicious and a large portion! The view is fantastic, we were seated right next to the beach paired with the beautiful soundtrack of the ocean, definitely worth it!

Tsitrus Café is an adorable café with a charming and pleasant ambiance. The café offers a variety of gluten-free pizza options and an excellent selection of vegetarian dishes. Although the food may take slightly longer to be served, it is worth the wait as everything is freshly prepared using high-quality ingredients. This café is suitable for larger groups, as evidenced by the satisfaction of a tour group consisting of ten people who all enjoyed the flavorful and top-notch food.
We stopped in for breakfast and lingered over delicious beautifully presented food, sublime cappuccinos, served by friendly and efficient staff. We loved the vibe and went back for what we were told are "the best pizzas around" - they weren't lying! Haven't had pizza this good in a long time - HIGHLY recommended.

An authentic place with a big personality on stormsriver. The decoration has a little bit of everything and somehow it works and makes it a nice place. It has outside tables, which is very nice, specially on a small village. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They even adjusted my order from the options they had on the menu. I ate the pizza, which was thin and tasty. The pancakes were also good. But the tramezzini was spectacular, I strongly recommend. The options are very limited though, which is understandable considering it is located on stormsriver, a very small place.
