This was I really busy place. It was hard to find parking and even harder to get out of the parking lot. I was actually a little nervous with how crowd it was. Once you get into the store the employees were very polite. You can find just about anything you’re looking for.

As far as I am concerned Jumbo offers the best level of service with international level of merchandise and business understanding - it’s not perfect but certainly the best in La Romana. Additionally, they do have pretty good range of foreign goods which you will not find in Higuey or San Pedro de Macoris.

Wonderful supermarket, great prices, selection that rivals anything in the USA, full food court, bank, cellular store, everything you could ask for. Their fruits and vegetables arrive fresh at the beginning of the month so make sure you're there on time!

They had 10 containers of this yogurt on the shelf but when I tried to check out they said it wasn’t for sale. They sent an associate like they were going to figure something out then 15 minutes later still said they couldn’t sell it to me. Complete idiots.

It's a small park that seems more like a plaza to me. There are many benches with trees that provide shade, so you can have a seat and relax. Around the park are bus stops and stations, adding to its importance. I'd suggest not going there at night though (especially if you're a tourist) because you might get robbed.

Love the park, has a nice plaza in the center. During holidays this place is packed with all sorts of touristic attractions showing off their country culture. No need to worry about being mugged, cause there is a police officer at every corner of the park at almost all times.

It is a good place; the location is good, but it is a little loud because of the traffic. However, if you eat inside, everything will be perfect. The food is amazing, but the service is a little strange. I have been here twice, and the service is the same. I am talking about the waiters; sometimes they disappear, and sometimes they do not bring the things you have ordered. Otherwise, everything is good.

Everything was perfect, the food, the wine, the service all excellent. Great to have a vegan selection also in DR which is rare to find. It was raining on departure but complimentary umbrellas were produced for the short trip to the dedicated car park and to the car. They even had my favourite wine - Protos. Well worth the price.

I found a piece plastic in my chicken shawarma and I got nothing but a sorry. I mean a free lemonade would have went a long way. Good place to eat when plastic doesn’t make it Into the food. Paid full price. Might never go back.

They have kept the quality over the years which is great accomplishment for a classic restaurant as this. There is an exclusive parking lot for customers just after the restaurant. Cativías and quipes as delicious as always!

In April, it's not baseball season in the Dominican Republic, but it's their national sport, and they love their fans so much that the stadium is open to visitors for a look. A seniorita from the office even opened the shop so we could pick up bright orange Toros gear. By U.S. standards, the field is well groomed, but seating capacity is kinda small. They pack these places during their Nov-Feb season. Worth the time!

I went there with a medium group and we manage to get some balls for the children. It was amazing for them.

We visited the stadium with our two young boys to catch a game. We felt safe the entire time and enjoyed the atmosphere very much! There is a gift shop with jerseys, hats, and other small items. We ordered fried chicken and a couple sodas. We did not know that you order and wait to pay till after the game. Leaving the game some locals tried to sell us some foul balls for $7 a ball.

If you like baseball, what is better than watching a game in the Dominican Republic where many of the MLB players are from. The Toros del Este are the local team in La Romana. Lots of great seats to watch the game from and plenty of food and drink options available.

It is a nice beach. They weather was nice. There are lots of restaurants to choose for a good meal. The sand is light brown, and the edge is rocky.. the water is rather clear. The is a peer made of rocks that can be used for site seeing or fishing.

It's good to spend some time with family member here. It's not suitable for swimming because waves.

VERY small public beach with a strong smell of fish. A lot of rocks too. This is basically the only free attraction to visit in La Romana. There is literally nothing else to do other than staying in Casa de Campo.

There is no entry fee, but there is a guy with a long sick that will charge you about $RD 50 for parking if you're not careful. There's only a small section of the beach to actually swim in, the rest is very rocky and has spiky sea urchins. But, even if you don't swim, the beach is very peaceful and not littered with tourists although there were buildings being built while I was there so that may change soon. A nice place to have a meal and enjoy the sea.

Nola was such a great find in La Romana! We went in with a group of 5 adults and 2 babies. The menu had lots of variety and options and the food was easily some of the best food I've had on the island. We tried lots of things on the menu and every single thing was SO GOOD and extremely well priced. The wait staff and owner were so patient with us and checked in often to make sure everything was great during our meal. We will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. I had only the plate of the day, but that was tasty! They have a great beer selection, including IPA and other craft beers that are hard to find in the D.R. They even have two of their own tasty craft beers! The desserts were excellent.

I love coming to Nola, food and customer service are always on point.

Went there for a pop corn chicken with mashed potatoes. They didn't have mashed potatoes ready, so I had to wait like 10 minutes for that. They almost charged me more money for changing my soda flavor. Thankfully, I asked why it was like 2 more dollars, and she said because I changed from cup to plastic bottle soda. I replied, I only asked for a different flavor, not a different presentation. The worst part of this place is the smell. It would seem like the Kitchen Extractor fans are not working, and there is a very nasty smell of grease. Also, as I came in, 2 employees were going out, they didn't even greet or kept the door open for me. 2 employees inside were on their phones and also didn't greet. The cashier never looked at me in the eyes. Management should revise why employees are not happy.

Ordered on line for delivery exactly 9 pieces of fried chicken mixed, 4 mashed potatoes,1 water and 1grape soda. INSTEAD, I got 9 drumsticks, 4 french fries, and 2 red sodas. COMPLETELY WRONG the whole order. All cold and relly not fit for cunsumption. I called the store and I was told that they would make it right but no, i was given just one bottle of water and the mashed potatoes tasted horrible. Needless to say I was very dissapointed. Ido not reccomend this store.

They were washing and cleaning the floor right next to our food being prepared. The roof panels were off. The lady mopping the floor in the kitchen , begrudgingly (after changing gloves -thank God ) went and picked up our food after a super long wait. Also was able to see them marinate the raw chicken in the background which appeared a tad unhygienic as they were mopping and cleaning out the oven next to it so unless you have a very resistant gut , don't recommend .

Food is ok, service is terrible. Got charged twice on my card for 1 transaction. During the transaction the woman said, "rayos", long story short is that I was charged almost 700PRD for my meal of 350PrD and the manager refuse to do anything. Making me go back to the bank to get the money. I told him they lost a 300+ lbs client and I have not returned. I would rather go anywhere else than here. Some good places right around the corner.

I really wanted to like La Caña Bar, but overall the experience left a lot to be desired. The staff didn’t come across as friendly—in fact, they often seemed annoyed or inconvenienced when I ordered food or drinks. Even though I made sure to tip, their attitude didn’t improve, which was disappointing. The all-inclusive aspect was a nice perk, but it felt like the service didn’t match the value. As for the entertainment, the music was underwhelming. It was billed as a live band, but it honestly sounded more like a pre-recorded set, and it wasn’t clear if the performers were actually playing. I get that working in hospitality can be draining, especially at an all-inclusive spot, but a little warmth and enthusiasm would’ve gone a long way.

Service is phenomenal and the food is tasty. Wonderful food options for gluten free. They asked about food allergies when seated. Gluten free bread for the table available upon request. The gluten free bread is sliced baguette, so not able to be used for the burgers as a bun. We ate here for dinner one night and then came back for lunch today. Both times the food and service was above and beyond.

This restaurant is also open all day, but their menu doesn’t get very interesting until lunchtime. It is very centrally located so convenience is a plus, and it’s also right next to the pool with a swim-up bar. As with every other on-property restaurant here, service is superb.

From the moment we were seated on the terrace, overlooking the main pool and surrounded by soft candlelight and the sound of gentle conversation, the atmosphere felt refined yet comfortably relaxed. Service was excellent throughout. Our server was thoughtful and engaging, offering suggestions without being pushy, and timing each course to perfection. I started with the goat cheese salad, which came beautifully plated and well-balanced: peppery arugula, sweet cherry tomatoes, and candied walnuts over soft, creamy cheese that brought the whole dish together. Fresh, vibrant, and generous in portion, it was one of the best starters I’ve had in a resort setting. For my main course, I ordered the rack of lamb, one of the highlights of the menu. It arrived perfectly pink at the center, with a lightly crisp crust and a jus that enhanced without overwhelming. Each bite was tender and flavorful. My daughter chose the grilled steak with fries, which was sliced and served with a dark, savory sauce and a side of golden, crispy fries presented in a silver tin , a simple dish done impeccably well. To drink, I had a glass of Malbec, which was smooth, dark-fruited, and paired wonderfully with the lamb. Their wine list includes quality options by the glass, and the servers are happy to guide you if you’re unsure what to choose. For dessert, we couldn’t resist the molten chocolate cake, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was rich, gooey at the center, with just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness , and a light dusting of powdered sugar that made it look as good as it tasted. The contrast of hot chocolate and cold, creamy ice cream was as satisfying as it gets. Though La Caña sits within one of the Caribbean’s most prestigious resorts, it avoids the generic, overly formal tone that sometimes comes with that. Here, the elegance feels effortless, and the food speaks for itself. They often feature live music on weekends and there’s a happy hour in the adjacent lounge area, usually from 5 to 7 PM , perfect for enjoying a cocktail before dinner. Casa de Campo has long attracted celebrities, dignitaries, and athletes, and La Caña is one of those places where you wouldn’t be surprised to see someone famous dining a few tables away , though the real star here is the consistency of the kitchen and the genuine warmth of the staff. La Caña is an excellent choice whether you’re staying at the resort or coming in for a special evening. It’s polished without being stiff, flavorful without being showy , a restaurant that delivers exactly what a resort like Casa de Campo promises, with style and substance. The food is excellent. Drinks are top quality as well. I believe is the best restaurant in the incluvise package at Casa de Campo resort. In lunch, our favorites dishes were: Shrimp ceviche, Truffle burguer, NY steak and the salads. In dinner our favorites were: Filet mignon, Cajun chicken and Rack of Lamb. For dessert, you must try the Coulant de Chocolate; it is excellent.

We had the best experience at La Caña. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere made every meal unforgettable at the restaurant. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Casa de Campo. Our waiter by the pool, R. Robison, was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the food and drinks, attentive, and truly professional.

This is a place you have to visit once in your lifetime. An amphitheatre that is carved in the stone, just look at the pictures and judge for yourself, also if you like golf you can enjoy the best golf course in the Caribbean and possibly all Latinoamérica in Casa De Campo as well.

This place is an oasis. If you are interested in craftsmanship, history and supporting local artisans, this is the place. We absolutely loved the church, the amphitheater, and the museum was the highlight for us. Learning about the local indigenous culture and seeing original artifacts. If you want an experience that’s a little more special… and to find a souvenir that really means something, this is the place. There are small boutiques, and artists studios to visit. We didn’t eat there, but there are restaurants as well.

Beautiful Mediterranean inspired church and village perched on the cliffs overlooking the Chavon River. Even after finding out it was a real estate development project in the 80s, the stone work, landscape, and charm of this spot transports you in time.

Breathtakingly gorgeous place to visit within Alto de Chavon at Casa de Campo. It inspires the feeling of visiting the ancient Roman Empire. Spectacular spot for a short rest and meditation. As a bonus, the amphitheater has the cleanest restrooms of all the Alto village.

Altos de Chavon is a super cool amphitheatre in the Dominican Republic. It's the perfect place for a photoshoot, especially wedding photoshoot, and it feels like you're in a little Italian village. Jose was an incredible tour guide. He spoke very good English, knew his products, processes, and store very well. He answered all my questions and was very informative. We got to watch employees make a few cigars. The tour and cigar making area was small and maybe 20 mins long. The $20 or $25 cost is given to you as a credit in the store. The prices were great and the selection was incredible. You can buy fresh $10 sticks or a box of 10 Davidoff Royal Release for $1500. Definitely a must see if you are interested in cigars!

One of the freshest most delicious calamari I have ever had. Not your regular frozen calamari. You can tell they make it there, and it comes with an amazing black aioli. Signature drinks were unique and different from others as well. Very fair priced with excellent service. Will return.

We came here for lunch every day and could not get enough of the food. There are so many amazing bits of Spanish cuisine to try out, including a couple flavors of paella which is traditionally a popular choice. Highly recommend the Arepas appetizer. The main seating area also has a direct ocean view, which makes for a relaxing and scenic atmosphere. The neighboring pool is adults-only, and also has its own bar right next to it.

Beautiful private beach/beach club, a little expensive but its clean and you have all you need. After you pay an entrance fee you can spend as much time as you want there. Food and drinks are of course additionally charged. Calm water and overall enjoyable.

The view was great and so is the beach. Relaxing and friendly. It’s a quiet beach, perfect for families. However the only thing that let me down was the food. The choices were not the best and quite lacking and it also took quite a long time for the food to come. I expected from a place like this for the standard to be higher but maybe my standards were too high. Although i would definitely recommend going to the beach for the great views.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to a lengthy wait (we were basically the only others dining at the time) and the pasta meal could have had more chicken. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Beautiful area within the Altos de Chavón. They even use spices from Alessi bakery in Tampa, Florida!

This is a beautiful little coffee shop with great breakfast items. The iced coffee is amazing! Warm fresh croissants! This is my go-to morning stop while staying at Casa de Campo. The staff is also the nicest, most hospitable staff. Great work guys!!

We visited this coffee shop while we were doing a shore excursion at Altos del Chavon with our cruise the Norwegian Pearl. Beautiful coffee shop, love the croissant and the coffee. The town is so beautiful. It is a breathtaking replica of a 16th century Mediterranean village.

Located in the heart of Altos de Chavon, this cafe-bistro offers a space completely outdoors, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the freshness of the trees. The place is owned by one of the most renowned chefs in the DR, and offers a light menu, with good quality ingredients and attention to detail in the preparation. It also has a convenience store with finished products. If you are visiting La Romana, it is a must.

We had a not so good experience for a party a few days ago but decided to give it another chance and so happy we did. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was very good. The music really adds to the ambiance.

Very nice place to eat. My second best choice for the all inclusive restaurants offered by Casa de Campo’s resort package. La Casita is number one. The ribeye was by far the best meal based on our group of nine people. Other plates were good also. Service was very slow with drink refills. The coffee was very late arriving for dessert, we had to take it to go.

What a wonderful dining experience. The burrata was even better than in Italy! Absolutely amazing meal. The spinach gnocchi with guancale was so good.

If there was one minor note, as an Italian restaurant, we were a little surprised not to find any pizza options on the menu. However, this in no way detracted from the overall exceptional quality of the other dishes and the wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend La Piazzetta for a truly memorable Italian meal in a beautiful setting within Casa de Campo. It's a culinary gem that shouldn't be missed!

Atmosphere was nice, it would’ve been nice to experience the live music closer but they played the majority of their songs at the tables of the two large groups while we were there. Will definitely go back though. Some of the best Italian food I’ve had in Dominican Republic.

Gorgeous setting in Alto de Chavon. This was my favourite place. Food was excellent and on point for traditional Italian. Wine list is extensive, but the per glass options are very good. Very busy, recommend booking ahead. Staff eager to please and are so good at preempting your needs

We recently visited this roadside restaurant and store, and overall, the experience was positive. The food was excellent. I tried the octopus, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, though the portion was on the smaller side. On the other hand, the burger was exquisite and definitely a must-try! The service was friendly and attentive, but the wait for the food was quite long. So, even though it’s a highway stop, it’s not a quick one. If you have the time, it's worth the visit for the quality of the food.

I Went to purchase meat, fish and discover delicacies on offer. Unfortunately none of the 2 employees were interested to assist me in my choice. The guy sitting as a cashier on the right hand side ignored my request and forwarded me to the lazy cashier on the left hand side! I had to request several times to help me. But she was soooo busy WhatsApping! Never saw such a incompetent person. Anyway, it’s a management problem. Wish them good luck!

I’ve had a very good experience visiting this place. Especially when I’m traveling from Santiago or Santo Domingo and I’m hungry. The food is very well prepared and the service is great. However the prices are a bit too high for something that’s on the highway and the choices are limited. Also the bathrooms are way too small. This might have been the worst service and most disappointing food I've had in my life. Was left entirely unattended for 45+ minutes and literally pulled on the sleeve of a walter to get service. I was going to order more decided against after so much time had passed. The food was thick and gross. How can any human consume the entire goat cheese and truffle focaccia pizza? My fav restaurant in the world!! Every time we go to Casa we go at least twice. The food is amazing! We’ve made it our goal to try all the plates in the menu and they never miss. We have tried the ceviche, tuna carpaccio, popcorn tiradito, ossobucco risotto, shibuya rice, mercer steak, churrasco, and more. The cheese wheel pasta is spectacular and comes with great presentation. The crispy rice tuna is to DIE FOR and so is the coconut affair (dessert). On to the service, the service is amazing and the waiters are always there if you need anything. The atmosphere is also very nice. If you can, ask for seating outside (reservation recommended) because they have an amazing infinity pool / ocean view. 10000/10 Will keep coming back everytime.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant! Food was delicious! I had the miso glazed Chilean sea bass and bluefin tuna tartar for my meal. Everything was prepared perfectly and was visually appealing to the eye. I dined outside in the evening right next to the water and it was a fabulous experience.

Came here with a big group of friends during our visit to Casa de Campo. The place is pretty spacious featuring both inside and outside seating, with the outside area being waterfront facing, which was nice. The restaurant was empty on the date that we visited. We were originally seated outside, however, due to the heat we Asked if we could seat inside instead and they were pretty accommodating to that request. Ordered food and most of it was pretty tasty, however, we had an unpleasant experience when we accidentally knocked over a soy sauce bottle and a dead fly came out of it that had been swimming around for who knows how long. Additionally, the server got some of our orders wrong implying that we had ordered something after we had confirmed multiple times what we wanted. Overall, it was okay but probably wouldn’t come back.

The experience of having dinner at SBG in la Romana is truly unique. Parking is far but they have courtesy transportation to the door of the restaurant or you can enjoy a lovely stroll as the restaurant is strategically at the end of the marina. The quality of food was outstanding. Each dish was prepared to perfection. Drinks were delicious. View was great. Ambiance depends on the area you are seating. Great experience!

SBG is a must when vacationing in the extremely beautiful resort of Casa De Campo, La Romana, Dominican Republic. Excellent, top quality service and incredible food selections. Bring $$$$ because this place has all the bells and whistles so not very cheap. A lot of wealthy folks dining and also many celebrities. Make early reservations and enjoy.

Beautiful setting, great service but extremely expensive, dinner for 2 cost around $400USD with two cocktails each. Espresso martinis are $30.00 each. Many items are as expensive or more as a restaurant in Miami. Even though is good, it’s overpriced, specially in local currency.

First of all, I don’t like the fact that $ paying guests pay $10 for admission, while guests paying with DOP pay around $3. That’s discrimination. Other than that, the caves are amazing—very big and beautiful. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Make sure to wear non-slip shoes if you’re visiting, as the stairs can be quite slippery. The iguanas are kept in a large enclosure, but they seem to fight a lot, which makes me question whether keeping them together for tourists' sake is a good idea. Overall, I can recommend this place.

We've been to a few of the caves around here and this one is really made up for visitors. You can see the sign from the highway easily, and there is plenty of parking (even in shade). For two of us it cost about USD $8 And that includes the guided tour. They take you on a stone walkway through some lovely landscaped gardens (watch out for iguanas) and then down into the cave which is a very large chamber. The path isn't steep and it's relatively smooth and easy to walk. The lights are well timed and there are bags in the holes in the ceiling. One section has Taino petroglyphs and there is one section with a pool. It's not the most impressive cave system I've seen but they've set it up nicely for visitors and it's a good tour. The acoustics are impressive and towards the end of the tour you are taken into one section that literally has marble floors--they used to hold concerts and have weddings there--which kind of blows your mind (what do they do when it rains and floods??) you aren't down too deep but there's a flight of stairs (maybe 50 steps?) to get out. They finish with a tour of the iguana exhibits and there are a lot of them. We liked it and thought it was a good deal for the money, definitely something fun to see.

I see why they call it La Cueva de las Maravillas.... this place truly lives up to its name! The cave is absolutely beautiful, and the history behind it and how it was discovered makes the visit even more fascinating. I definitely need to go back to explore El Laberinto (the maze) and try the Paseo a Caballo (horseback riding). Highly recommended for nature and history lovers!

This place is amazing. Not only the caves are marvelous but you can ride horses and go into a built-in in tree maze on sight. Several iguanas which give the place a jungle Caribbean vibe adequate for it's purpose.

​The Cueva de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders) is a remarkable historical site and a highlight for any nature lover. The journey to the cave is a beautiful trek through a rocky, tropical landscape perfect for spotting iguanas. To enter, you descend a long flight of stairs into the massive and impressive cavern. ​Inside, you'll find incredible Taino pictograms, making it one of the most significant examples of Taino culture. The cave, which is believed to be over one million years old, was a vital part of Taino life, used for protection from hurricanes and as a place for burial rituals. ​While the cave is immense, only about 25% has been uncovered to avoid disturbing the native fauna, including the bats that have long called it home. Initially, locals illegally harvested bat guano from the cave to sell as a powerful fertilizer. ​The tour guide person was excellent, offering a detailed and fascinating look into the history and culture of the Taino people. This tour is highly recommended and an excellent value.

Very large cave system, lots of steps to get underground which are a tough climb back out. Paths underground dimly lit but with handrails. Wet underfoot. Impressive stalagmites/stalactites. Small lake in cave. Drawings well lit. Definitely well worth a visit. Iguanas in enclosure above ground but also wild. Guide was good but did walk around quickly. Spoke in English and Spanish.

The cave entrance is well maintained. You can pay 300 Pesos per person or pay a lot more as a tour. There is a guide that leads you through the cave anyway. The guide speaks Enlish and Spanish. The cave is not very deep. The tour is about an hour with a lot of little stops. The path is smooth concrete with little steps. The cave is nowhere narrow and sports several larger cavernous areas. The drip stones grow through old coral reefs, hence, the drip stones are more gray than the typical cream colour. There are black cave drawings that look a bit like spray painted. The downside of the cave is that it is not well lit. This is probably to avoid algae and moss growth. Drip stones, well, drip water. The tour ends at a iguana (lizard) den. Water is available at a store at the entrance.

Caleta is not the most beautiful dominican beach, however, it has beautiful spots for pictures, lots of places to eat seafood, tostones, fried fish and to have drinks and/or beers. This beach is good to go to chill, you can go with your own stuff if you don't want to be in a local business (your ice, drinks, food, chairs, etc.). People are very welcoming. Enjoy!

Some golf courses are played with clubs. Others are lived and remembered long after the final putt. Teeth of the Dog, the legendary Pete Dye design at Casa de Campo in La Romana, belongs firmly in that second category. It is not just the top-ranked course in the Caribbean. It is an experience that demands respect and rewards precision, offering one of the most memorable rounds of golf anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. Carved out of coral rock and Dominican coastline in 1971, this course was Pete Dye’s personal favorite. Seven of its holes run so close to the Caribbean Sea that ocean spray sometimes reaches the green. But it is not just about the scenery. Teeth of the Dog is a test of strategy, discipline, and creativity. The layout moves effortlessly between coastal spectacle and quieter inland moments, creating a rhythm that keeps players alert and engaged from the first tee to the eighteenth green. From holes 5 to 8, the course bares its teeth. Hole 5, a par 3 perched beside the waves, punishes indecision. Hole 7 dares players to cut the corner of a dogleg wrapped around the sea. Later in the round, hole 16 presents one of the toughest challenges. It is a long par 4 framed by the ocean on the left and wind that shifts direction without warning. On a breezy afternoon, a par here feels like a small triumph. Course conditions are superb. Fairways are tightly mown and offer excellent roll. Greens are quick, true, and subtly contoured. The bunkers are sharp-edged, clean, and never placed randomly. Every hazard matters. The rough is playable but penal enough to encourage discipline off the tee. Drainage is excellent, even after heavy tropical rain, and signage throughout the course is discreet and clear. Support facilities meet the standards of elite private clubs. The clubhouse has sea views and a relaxed but refined setting for lunch or a drink after the round. The pro shop is well-stocked with top-tier brands and offers excellent service. Practice facilities include a full driving range with natural grass, short-game area, and large putting greens that accurately reflect the speed and texture of the course. Locker rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Caddies are knowledgeable and offer the right balance between guidance and discretion. Currently, the course is undergoing a full restoration led by Jerry Pate Design, scheduled from January through December 2025. The work includes re-grassing the entire course with Dynasty Paspalum, rebuilding bunkers, restoring original green contours, improving drainage with sand-capping, and renewing cart paths with concrete curbing. The project honors Pete Dye’s original design while enhancing long-term playability. Though closed for play as of July 2025, the anticipation for its reopening is high, and deserved. Teeth of the Dog has hosted the Latin America Amateur Championship and other major regional tournaments. Green fees for resort guests are approximately $395, including cart and practice balls. Early tee times are recommended to enjoy calmer winds and a quieter atmosphere. Non-golfers can relax at the Beach Club or explore nearby Altos de Chavón, a replica Mediterranean village offering panoramic views and cultural experiences. The course suits low to mid-handicap players best, though forward tees provide access to the design’s beauty without overwhelming less experienced golfers. From December to April, conditions are ideal. Year-round play is viable thanks to excellent maintenance and thoughtful course engineering. Once your round ends, stop by the 19th Hole Bar for something light and refreshing. It’s the perfect closing ritual, quiet, shaded, and steps from the final green. Immaculately maintained course with breathtaking views of the sea. It was designed by Pete Dye and it is the only course in the world with seven holes bordering on the Caribbean Sea. They are collectively known as the “holes created by god”. For the most part, the caddies were knowledgeable and helpful with few exceptions. The only real downside is the absolutely outrageous price. For a single who is a hotel guest the cost is $575 Canadian including the $100US mandatory cash tip for caddy service. Club rental adds about $100 on top of that plus 18% mandatory taxes. It all adds up to about $800 Canadian per game. This makes for a crazy expensive golf week on top of the huge accommodations costs. The only other thing worth mentioning is the Pro Shop. We shopped here during the afternoon when it was quiet and although there were few shoppers and three sales clerks, no one was interested in selling anything to us. The women all chatted away to each other in Spanish and basically ignored us. Not cool by any standards let alone at a luxury golf establishment. Given the prices, a little service would have been appreciated.

Honestly, I came to the Dominican Republic for Teeth of the Dog. Maybe my expectations were too high, because I felt slightly—just slightly—disappointed. It’s a good course, no doubt, but with so many great options here, I’m not sure it’s top 100 worthy. Still glad I played it.

Played both Teeth of the Dog and The Links. Both amazing courses and the caddies are amazing. Nothing matches up to this in the world, definitely play if you get the chance! The ocean holes are what golf dreams are made of.

Wonderful experience! Well designed beautiful course and breathtaking ocean views. I've played Pebble Beach and this is right up there or better. That's why I played this course often. I never got tired of it. Staff was friendly and cordial. The 19th green with all the free drinks was a great after event to gather all of our scores to wrap up a great day of golf.

It's one of the most beautiful courses you can play. With spectacular views, challenging holes, and ocean breezes, you can have a round to remember. Course is kept in immaculate shade. Everything is pressed, cut, and groomed to perfection. No wonder it's in the world's top courts. Staff is knowledgeable, polite, and very helpful. You'll pay a little more to play here, but you should have a blast.

Request Rene Division! Teeth of the Dog was under renovation so I played Dye Fore, where Rene Division was my assigned caddie — he was outstanding, and I’ll be requesting him for every round I play moving forward at Casa de Campo!

Great food. We had just gotten off of the coach from Punta Plata and wanted decent internet and something to eat and this was a good choice. Air conditioned inside, the food arrived in reasonable time and was tasty and plentiful. The internet was good and although the staff could take a little more interest, I would return for another excellent hamburger at Timbi Urban Food. Talking to the locals they would re3commend this location as well.

The place is very nice and the environment is very cozy. Some things to mention. The place is not well located so when you go home you smell like grease (including your clothes). Somtimes, service acts annoyed by your presence and you wait a lot for your hamburgers to come. It takes too long.

This place is fantastic! Great meats on a stick(pinchos) and the music is great as well. You should eat upstairs and go down and dance a little after the decadent meal. If you want to impress a date this is the place. Families and their babies are welcome here. Lay back and drink a little because the kitchen is slow.... everything is made fresh at your request. Ask for Francisco Garcia, best server at Playa Caleta. My wife andI love him. The sense of team work lives at this place, from the kitchen to servers and parking attendants. The only good thing was the coffee, everything else was not very tasty. Instead of a fruit salad, they brought just chopped pineapple with honey. The club sandwich was dry, with bacon that had a terrible smell — I think the oil needs to be changed. We also had to wait a very long time for our order. On the plus side, there is parking on the premises.

The place looks nice from the outside and i was anxious to find out how it was. Its a nice casual elegsnt place. I related it to Paneras in the US. Portions are small as in continental style breakfast not too expensive. Next time I will go grab and go. Pastries are awesome as well as the cakes.

We stopped here because I like trying out new bakeries...but we were disappointed. I went in and ordered bakery and food items. We got the nutella croissant, which had very little nutella in it-not good, the passionfruit cheesecake had a tangy, delicious taste to it, rolls were good and fluffy, and the guava pastry was good, but needed more paste in it! The wait was crazy! I ordered a few things from the bakery which took a while. I don't speak Spanish well and she wasn't thrilled about it. The person behind the register was more helpful and I ordered food. Pasta- was good, sauce was flavorful and my son liked it. Dominican breakfast- was okay- mangu wasn't seasoned well and eggs were overcooked. hamburger- was uncooked! We left and my husband started to eat it and it was sooo red! We got a refund and, of course, they were very nice when he went in there. Overall, we would never go back.

Im only giving 3 stars because of the baker is amazing the baked goods and breads are delicious. But the customer service is horrible. The cashier doesn’t want to speak or look at you and to get a server to speak its like pulling teeth. If you ask a question about the food or menu you get an eye roll and a sigh. I have been there a couple times and it’s always the same. My recommendation is get the baked goods, coffee, and go. The sourdough is awesome, but the sour service is not. Skip the food and stick to the baked goods you won’t regret it.

Crema is really a lovely place to hangout and have a good Chinola Cheesecake and a good cup of coffee. They serve breakfast and lunch along with other things on their menu. Their menu is not offer a big variety as if you were going out to a dinning restaurant. The menu does have some traditional Dominican food. The prices is good. Its not crazy. If you want to have breakfast and a quick lunch here's the place to go.

came here a million times because the cakes are so good and the frappes are better than Starbucks 😆 the only downside is that the wifi has a 1 hour time limit. PLEASE change that I would come here for hours and just keep trying new things, plus it’s the only spot with reliable wifi for people coming to DR while working remote.

Not great… food took way too long which is fine if it’s delicious… but it wasn’t that great. Most dishes were fairly bland or light in flavor. We had a group of 10 people so we tried a decent amount of food on the menu and only one person in the group loved what they got.

Weird that the reviews are either horrible, like mine, or great. Perhaps the good ones are fake (as they mostly sound the same)? Impossible that anyone would like the food. We ordered pizzas, salads, pastas, and appetizers. All horrendous except one salad. Worst ingredients in everything. Cheap pasta, cheap sauce, cheap everything. Skip it, it’s just plain bad. Read the bd reviews, they’re all spot on.

Very good food! We had a baby lobster which was amazing! I was very surprised by the attention of the staff. I 100% recommend. Wonderful and fresh pasta, sgropino and a very tasty focaccia for starters.

Food is average at best. Cesar salad basically horrible. Argued with staff about currency exchange which we were charged $11 US dollars more because they chose the exchange rate which was not current. Would be acceptable if staff & service were exceptional which it was not. Atmosphere is nice but goes downhill fast after that.

It's a nice beach but don't recommend on Saturday and Sunday as it gets really busy with locals and there is little space. A lot of shops nearby.

We love this beach I think it’s beautiful and the water cristal clear. We visited with friends and family and had a great time in the water with literally no waves and warm water and soft sand on the beach. If you are going to eat they will set you a table with chairs and will be included with your purchase. Note: This it’s Bayahibe Beach this doesn’t have the Bayahibe lighthouse very mistaken by others and also it’s one wrong picture posted that doesn’t belong to this part of the beach. The lighthouse it’s located on Dominicus beach!

Beautiful beach with restaurants along it. I wish they had dominican prices instead of American. It's definitely a tourist trap with people bothering you the entire time. We did eat from the restaurant so we didn't get harassed as much and the food was good. The water was gorgeous and warm

Great Public Beach, But Beware of Hilton Security Lovely beach with calm water and a relaxed vibe. However, if you walk toward the Hilton resort area, be aware that security will block your path along the shoreline, falsely claiming it's private property. All beaches in the Dominican Republic are public up to 60 meters from the waterline, including in front of resorts. If you're stopped, you can politely ask to speak to a manager.

A nice sandy beach with clear waters 15 min drive from La Romana. I found the place primarily visited by locals, only a few tourists. There were many locals with picnics or just enjoying with families. There's a large car park close by that charges 200 pesos for the day. However, be aware that it's a rip off for tourists. The touts just flock you from all sides. I was charged US $5 just to use a chair at the beach (though I doubt it was his chair at all) and then US $25 for each pound of fish! So, we just gave up after 30mins and left.

Absolutely gorgeous venue for a superbly maintained golf course. Some very challenging holes but most of the caddies are genuinely invested in helping you score well. The only negative thing about Dye Fore is the extraordinary pricing. All in, one round per person will set you back over $700 Canadian , with club rental, mandatory cash caddy fees, 18 percent taxes, service charges, currency exchange. This makes for a very expensive golf week. Overall, Dye Fore rivals Teeth of the Dog as a golfers’ delight.

This is one of the top courses I’ve ever played. Infinity greens, looks like you can putt your ball off a cliff. The food is limited, just hot dogs. But the course is very well kept.

Beautiful village with shops, restaurants, bars and beautiful outdoor cafes as well as the usual services for boaters. Our favourite restaurant was La Casita but sadly it is not available for lunch. We also tried Causa which is part of the “all” inclusive and SBG which is not included.

Amazing sea views, amazing food and just all round amazing!. Villa rentals are a must-do with some fabulous deals to be had. Be mindful of AirBnb, as many fake accounts on there and definitely insist on viewing the property before booing if you do use AirBnb. This is not a marina for foreign. visiting yachts. The staff were very disinterested, unknowledgeable, and rude, telling us to look on their website in reply to our questions about long-term berthing fees, availability and facilities, etc.. Demanding $50 USD per person to even allow us to see the pantalans & facilities for 5 minutes. I asked, "Did we waste our time driving here?" and the answer was a simple "yes" without even asking what kind of yacht or dates etc. Vote with your Dollars and go where you're treated best. Not here!

We rode on a yacht to the island. The captain and his mate were so fun. The water was clear and the place was a tropical paradise. So glad we got to visit.

Gorgeous luxury beach area. The only downside is that it is not onsite at the hotel. It is about 2km away which will take about 10 minutes by golf cart or 25 minutes to walk. So you have to plan your visit and bring everything you need. Also it is quite busy because it is shared with over 2000 residences and the hotel guests. There is good public washrooms and an outdoor shower. There are two food trucks which are part of the “all inclusive “. It’s a good place to watch the sunset over the Caribbean Sea. There are also two pools here with one designated for children.

Beautiful private beach in Casa de Campo resort. Very child friendly. Beach is protected by rocks in the water, so no waves and currents. Great bar service and free towel service. Even during high season it never feels busy. Many options for lunch and dinner including food trucks for snacks, juice bar, ice cream shop, and fine dining beach club. Playa Minitas has 3 pools; baby pool, main pool and adult-only pool in the beach club area.

A beautiful beach perfect for swimming and snorkeling because it is protected by a reef that doesn’t allow big waves to come through. They have a nice playground along with a pool and kiddie pool if you don’t want to go in the ocean. I highly recommend catching a sunset here. It isn’t too crowded and the sun sets over the ocean which is a nice touch.

This is a beautiful ocean side setting. Love the pool, the bar and the food served by friendly waitstaff.

Great beach to go while staying in Casa de Campo. Great service and nice to have a place where you can lounge without feeling something is going to happen to your stuff. Great staff and also there are pools there for you to switch to, if you prefer to.

Wonderful beach, if you are from overseas, decent if you are from the DR

Beautiful beach with palm trees and lounge chairs lining the beach for your enjoyment. A reef somewhat out in the distance protects the beach from large waves, which makes it perfect to enjoy a calm kid friendly swimming experience. Activities include snorkeling, banana boating, kayaking, volleyball, and a few others. Food offerings range from quick bites at the food trucks to a fine dining experience with gorgeous captivating beach decor. For those who enjoy a good sunset, this is one of the best I've seen.

They have plenty benches to seat and relax by yourself, with friends or with your kids, there are a school and a church around. There are couple of nice metal sculptures nice to see. There are not security guards, so, watch your belongings. At the moment of my visit the park looks like it needs some maintenance.

Very nice restaurant. Very fair prices. Staff was super friendly. They didn’t have everything available on the menu for sides or desserts. Food tasted excellent and I would return there again.

Was on vacation in La Roma and we wanted to get away from the Resort and get some authentic Dominican food. Our private tour guide took us to this restaurant and we were not disappointed.

Shrimp scampi is really good. The goat was tasty as well. Cheesecake dessert yummy but small portion. Quaint but inviting atmosphere. Menu is in Spanish and English, which makes it easier to order.

Food was delicious, went with a big group and there was only 1 server so food took a while to get there but it tasted great! Had some pasta, and shrimp both were good and hot. You have the option to sit outside or inside with ac. There is also a club/disco next door with some good music (+18 to get in).

Worst place ever. Tourists from the states please head my warning and stay away. They completely screened up my ticket and they weren't apologetic at all. The food was cold and they didn't do anything about it. They had one server. Slow service. It was awful here. Rude service. I didn't eat any of the cold food and asked to just have it removed from the ticket. They said you still have to pay even tho it's cold and uneaten? I had to get back on my ship, the Carnival Horizon but please listen. Awful place. Go somewhere else. Save your money

Out of 6 plates, 3 came incorrectly and 1.5 hrs wait time, which they offered to replace but we didn't want to wait another 1.5 hrs more. The food tasted very good but it wasn't what we had ordered.

An authentic with a beautiful presentation of food! The decoration and ambiance are amazing! If you choose to sit outside, the view is stunning. You will not be disappointed to take several pictures for Instagram and enjoy amazing food! This place is hidden from the main road and the walk is on the road that is made from rocks and stone so make sure that you wear flat or sneaker shoes.

I’ve had plenty of tacos while traveling throughout the Americas. Was pleasantly surprised at the tacos served here. We had steak, birria, pastor, shrimp tacos and all were very good. In addition, the guacamole, pico de gallo, chips served as an appetizer were devoured. Drinks and desserts were great as well. Service was friendly and quick. Would definitely return if ever in the area.

Most of the sitting area is outside. The main food selection is tacos with a good amount of different choices. Portions are smaller compared to American servings. In relation to the other all inclusive restaurants available I would choose this last. Rating 6 of the 6 restaurants that are eligible for all-inclusive. One bathroom for men and women. The city of Altos de Chavon is breathtaking.

So I now have a new favorite restaurant, unfortunately it's 1800 km away from my house. Chilango has a fun and funky yet casual atmosphere. The food is so good that I'm willing to pay skip the dishes the $47,000 delivery fee to deliver it to Canada 😄

The food is mediocre. Not very authentic Mexican. The guacamole was very watery and not the quality you would expect from a traditional Mexican restaurant. The food came out so fast that we felt they were rushing us to turn over the table and it was a slow night. The margaritas were watered down.This is more of a touristy type of Mexican and not one to consider high quality.

I genuinely expected much better from Chilango Taqueria located in Casa de Campo, but this was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Let’s start with the service: completely apathetic. Our server looked like he would rather be anywhere else. No greeting, no energy, no interest in actually serving us. His attitude was so off-putting that it set a bad tone for the entire meal. It felt like we were bothering him just by being there. We ordered a strawberry juice, hoping for something fresh and natural like the delicious ones you find all over the Dominican Republic. What we got instead tasted like cheap, artificial syrup more like children’s medicine than juice. Then came the food. I ordered a quesadilla a dish so simple, it's usually hard to mess up. But somehow, they did. It was completely bland, lacking flavor, seasoning, or any kind of care. Even my 4-year-old nephew who normally loves chicken quesadillas, refused to eat it because of how bad it tasted. When a kid turns away, chicken, melted cheese and a tortilla, you know something's wrong. Honestly, being in Casa de Campo, I expected at least a basic level of quality and professionalism. What I got was a poorly made meal, terrible service, and a frustrating experience I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Save your time, money, and appetite and go literally anywhere else.

One of the best meals I had while staying at Casa de Campo. Loved all of the small plates - gyozas, ceviche, shrimp tempura, chicken/avocado, eel roll. Our servers, Hairo and Billy, were welcoming, very attentive to our needs, stopping by to check on us frequently even on a busy Friday night.

Amazing spot in Casa de Campo! CAUSA serves authentic Peruvian flavors with a modern twist. The ceviche , Gyozas, tempura shrimp are outstanding, and the Pisco Sour is a must-try. Great service, nice vibe, and perfect for a special night .

We visited twice in 2020 and 2024. It is now part of the hotel’s “all inclusive “ program and it is not as good as it used to be. It is almost totally served outdoors with the inside showcasing an open viewing cooking display with an abundance of chefs scurrying around. The washroom was disgusting. The chairs were super cheap patio chair which are real back killers. The food is mediocre and not served hot especially with any size group. Wild cats everywhere under foot begging for food. Not open for lunch.

It is a very nice restaurant, the waitresses are friendly and willing to accommodate your food combination request. The environment is awesome, looking at the marina, in a fresh sunny day is priceless. The price is typical of the casa de Campo, Gourmet ( small amount of foods) for a luxurious price plus a 28% ( 18 government+10 services) plus the CC services is added to the bill. So if money is not an issue you are okay. It is a very nice place.

What an amazing experience! Carlos M. and Mary made it wonderful. Their expertise and warm charm were great. We ordered a number of different items and shared amongst the table. Carlos explained what everything was in great detail. Mary was a savant with her wine service. She presented and poured like a Master. The food was udderly delicious. There wasn't one thing we got we didn't care for. The restaurant itself.is located down by the Marina. It's in a large outdoor square between the shops. We had a beautiful night and enjoyed our outdoor seating. I can't recommend this place enough, we'll worth everything!

CAUSA has some amazing Japanese fusion cuisine to choose from. I’d personally recommend ordering some rolls and nigiri to share and try out multiple flavors, rather than just getting one main dish per person. There’s a lot of variety and all of it is very good.

Delish!! From the perfect combination of sweet, salty AND spicy to the great service. The waiter recommended the prawn rolls with spicy mayo and it was definitely the way to go. We also ordered the ceviche and the amazónico rice. All very good, just like the service. Definitely going back!

My partner and I visited Saona Café at least 3 or 4 times during our week long stay in Bayahibe. The food was always fresh and delicious but our favorite drinks were the cappuccino's and the all natural fruit juices (passion fruit for me and mango for him). The view of the marina and the smell of the ocean breeze were absolutely breathtaking. We also had the same waitress whenever we visited, her name was Janet and she was friendly, sweet and super professional. We can't say enough nice things about Saona Café, it would be a sin not to visit them during your stay in Bayahibe.

They are nice at first but made errors with our order and even though we refused a drink because it was wrong TWICE, they insisted on charging for it. Really, I had 3 problems while visiting this town and definitely will not waste money here ever again.

Ordered a grilled fish fillet sandwich. It was juicy end, so tasty easily the best meal I’ve had in Bayahíbe. The Mojito was so good and very strong, 2 ounces of rum! The music was fun too, some people were dancing. fun vibe! Will return!

Went in on Christmas Eve, no reservation, not crowded at 7:30 pm, no wait time to be seated. Fantastic central location with a view of the pier, cozy and familiar ambience, friendly staff. Asked what their fish specialty was, they explained they are the only ones in the region to prepare the lion fish (due to the spikes which are a pain to deal with). True or not, the fish in its orange/ginger sauce was delicious. The salad on the side was seasoned with a perfectly fresh light dressing. Rice and tostones were superb too. Ah and not to mention the mojito! Fresh, not too sweet, not too heavy on liquor... everything I tried was perfect! Congrats and thanks!

Very expensive, got 3 things wrong out Ran out of pita and didn’t tell us but still charge us the full price of the meal. They just served us cheese with tomato and didn’t even tell us there was no pita until we asked.

The Greek salad 🥗 was really good. Meatballs for kids and burger 🍔 with homemade fries 🍟 Big tapas menu. Nice atmosphere. Idyllic small marina village. Can be improved by food and more cosy atmosphere in such a lovely place. And please upgrade from plastic straws to more eco friendly or no straws at all 🌳😊
