Outdoor Activities
Pigeon Point Beach is a popular destination known for its calm, turquoise waters and white sand. It offers water sports, cabanas, and an enchanting setting with a thatched-roof jetty and a new Heritage Pavilion. This area is the most heavily developed region on the island, featuring hotels, bars, restaurants, and commercialized beaches like Pigeon Point and Store Bay.
Paradise at its best. This is a very nice beach and you have to pay to enter as its not a public one which dose make a difference, as you don't get the lucky lucky men selling you stuff all of the time its much more relaxed and feels safer. The main part is a busy part of the beach you need to pay for sunbeds etc but if you don't a towel will do. There is other parts if you wish to get away from people too. There are a few shops and bars to get food and drinks and watersports we did the jet skis. The sea is warm and safe.
Mark P — Google review
Great beach.. not sure if the entrance fee is worth it for big groups because you still have to pay for chairs or cabanas.. Very beautiful and well kept beach with a variety of activities avaliable.
HetepRaKhepr U — Google review
Pigeon Point Beach is undeniably beautiful, offering picturesque views and a relaxing atmosphere. However, there tends to be a lingering smell of rotting seaweed, which can affect the overall experience. While the water is beautiful, it's often cloudy. On the positive side, there are several food options available (overpriced), ample parking, and a range of water sports to enjoy, making it a convenient and activity-filled beach destination. Cost $20 to enter, over 60 years free.
NirzVlogs — Google review
A great beach! A nice stop with ample parking and some little shopping spots. Food can be pricey but it is fresh and tasty. There has been some seaweed but this time seaweed was limited and the water the clear and calm. It is always refreshing to stop and spend the day swimming and enjoying the beach.
Ojal R — Google review
Pigeon Point Beach is absolutely beautiful — one of the most scenic spots in Tobago! The water is crystal clear and calm, perfect for swimming and relaxing. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and has all the amenities you need — restrooms, food stalls, and places to rent chairs or do water sports. We loved walking along the jetty and soaking in the peaceful views. Truly a must-visit spot if you’re in Tobago!
Sira G — Google review
Well worth the entrance fee. Great place to pick up a boat trip to Nylon Pool and Buccoo Reef, especially if you're looking for an alternative to the bass pumping party boats from Store Bay. Great showers, bar/restaurant, sun lounger hire etc
Nick S — Google review
Great beach, beautiful waters and white sand. You can: Eat, have couple of restaurants Shops, for souvenirs etc Take boat tours, jetskies etc Swim
Rachel S — Google review
Magnificent beach that is kept very well. Lifeguards, restaurants, bars and watersports are right there. The sea was shallow and crystal clear with an area designated for swimming. Souvenir shops and parking is right next to the beach. Loved our time in Tobago and this beach saw us most days.

Stand Up Paddle, or SUP, offers a picturesque experience through a lagoon surrounded by mangrove trees, secret rivers, hidden beaches with waterfalls, and beautiful coral reefs. The tour concludes with some exciting waves. The guides are knowledgeable about SUP techniques and the local area and culture. They offer opportunities to enhance existing skills and learn how to catch a wave while also providing insights into local sites of interest. Additionally, they offer unique experiences such as bioluminescence tours.
Fabulous experiences (Nylon Pool/No Man’s Land and the Bioluminescence tours). Duane was a great guide: super knowledgeable and good company. Highly recommend.
Anthea H — Google review
This review is super late but we toured for our honeymoon with this group a few years ago. The bioluminescent tour was so fun and very beautiful. And, the guides had such great energy. We look forward to doing this again on our next visit!
Michelle A — Google review
Duane was super friendly and knowledgeable about SUP techniques and the local area and culture. We greatly enjoyed our time with him, seeing the beautiful lagoon, enhancing our existing SUP skills and how to catch a wave, trying Doubles (delicious local cuisine), and seeing local sites of interest. He was great to work with, and he picked us up from the cruise port. Highly recommend!
Mercedes R — Google review
The owners are really cool and kind guys. They’re passionate about what they do and very accommodating putting the guests first. We did the bioluminescence tour and it was a one of a kind experience! They also help care for some of the street dogs which is just a bonus and shows they are good people running a good business.

Nylon Pool, located just off the coast of Pigeon Point in Tobago, is a natural swimming pool in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. Accessible by glass-bottom boat from Store Bay and Pigeon Point, this crystal-clear pool is only about three feet deep and was formed by an offshore sandbar. It's a popular spot for wading and swimming, with some locals believing that its waters have rejuvenating powers.
If you visit Tobago and you don’t visit the Nylon Pool you will be disappointed.
Shawn M — Google review
We took a shore excursion in Tobago through Royal Carribean Rhapsody of the Seas to the Nylon Pool and Bucco Reef, November 2022. One thing I've realized that I'm not a big fan of glass bottom boats. You can't really see a whole lot through the 1 feet width glass (or is it plastic?). The ride was also rough - not because it rained but because these are really old boats. We got to the Nylon Pool in the middle of a storm but it was still as sight to behold. The water is a beautiful light green color and feels a little bit thicker. I would visit again but maybe I will catch a newer boat from Trinidad.
S J — Google review
Visiting the nylon pool is a must for anyone. You can take the tour from different locations in Tobago. The most common places are Store Bay, Pidgeon Point and Buccoo. The prices vary depending on where you go. All in all the nylon pool is very nice and bathing there is serene. I will definitely recommend.
Adam B — Google review
The Nylon Pool is a shallow area in the middle of the water. This was a great experience. This was the second stop on the tour. I got My first wine in the middle of the Caribbean Sea.
Donnell H — Google review
Love this place every single time. The boat ride is always fun listening to music and getting ready to jump in that water. Crazy how nature has created something so beautiful we get to enjoy. I love ❤️ this place so much.
Malcolm K — Google review
Lovely part of Tobago that has shallow crystal clear waters. About 4ft deep in most sections. There is no coral here . Just white soft (muddy like) sand that is noted for exfoliation and skin wellness. You will likely come here at the and of any boat tour to call your day with a shallow swim and some rumpunch. I was lucky enough to to spot 2 big and wild sting rays on my underwater GoPro here! Worth the visit. If you are not keen on getting in, you can always travel here with a glass bottom boat to keep an eye out for the rays

It's been 9yrs since I took this tour. Just happened upon this. I'd say 100% take this tour. Rubbing the magical "sands" on my body was therapeutic for months after. The tour guides are so helpful to the aged and infirmed. And informative of the history of coral reefs.
Chelle S — Google review
Beautiful shallow water, teal yet crystal clear, the sand made my skin feel so soft. Without disrupting the natural ecosystem, I took a small dead piece of coral as my souvenir! Highly recommend taking a Frankie Tours Boat to come here! Very affordable and knowledgeable!
Shanade B — Google review
Nylon Pool with its crystal aquamarine water. It has a clean environment, and it's literally the best place for kids who are short to swim as it is a shallow pool of 2 feet only, and its sand is pure white. I am rating the Nylon Pool a 9/10.

A must see in Tobago 🇹🇹 a great experience in the middle of the Caribbean Sea 🌊 you can take a boat and go swim in the middle of the sea where the water is crystal clear and perfect depth for all ages, and of course perfect temperature ☀️ really nice place to take some awesome photos too

Store Bay is a well-known destination in the southwest tip of the island, offering a flat coral and limestone plateau with numerous hotels, bars, and restaurants. This area is home to popular beaches like Pigeon Point and Store Bay, where visitors can enjoy swimming and indulge in local snacks such as crab dumplings. Additionally, the region features quieter stretches of sand along the smart hotel coast, glass-bottom boat tours to Buccoo Reef, and opportunities for surfing due to strong currents.
Store Bay is hands down one of the best beaches in Tobago! The water is always crystal clear and clean, with the most stunning shades of blue that look straight out of a postcard. It’s perfect for swimming, relaxing, or just soaking in the breathtaking views. I believe you can also snorkel here The beach is well-maintained and has a vibrant atmosphere, with plenty of local vendors selling delicious local food, drinks from bar nearby, icecream and souvenirs. It is located very close to the airport, walking distance. It is must visit spot in Tobago.

Beautiful beach in Tobago. You can rent an umbrella and chairs for the time u want to spend on the beach. Blue warm water.
Myda L — Google review
The water is amazing - so clear and clean. I enjoyed shopping and buying souvenirs at the many stalls that are located here. You will be able to buy clothing, jewelry, and artifacts. If you're driving, park in the parking lot and not on the street, it's a better place to leave your car. We ordered the infamous curry crab and dumpling dish from Miss Trim's. It was delicious. Not a lot of crab meat but the flavor of the curry is satisfying enough. And, the dumplings were the best I had. You can purchase your ticket to sail out to Nylon Pool. Make sure to go up to the ticket booth to purchase.

No Man’s Land is a secluded strip of white sand and palm trees located near the Buccoo Coral Reef. It's a popular stop on glass bottom boat tours, where visitors can enjoy a serene escape from the bustling crowds. While it has changed over the years and now features food vendors, it still offers beautiful scenery with bright blue and green hues. Visitors can bring their own grill for a private BBQ or simply relax and take a dip in the water.
Nice ❤️ small island !! Last stop on most Nylon pool & Bucco Reef Tours. I love my sister country !
Greg F — Google review
Nice little beach, mostly accessible via boat. You can walk, but from Bucco it's not the most comfortable walk. There are sellers for drinks and food, who obviously charge more than on the main island. But that seems fair for the circumstances. There is a little shade provided by plants, but I wouldn't say it's a place to stay long. Enjoyable scenery.
Valentin P — Google review
We arrived by party boat (Frankie's) and expected expensive not too nice food. The mixed pholourie was really good, and the lobster was cooked to perfection. Prices were not too bad too.
Adrian C — Google review
Nice Vibes. Got there by boat (Can't remember which) It was nice ride. There is nothing that brings strangers together like a football. Enjoyed playing with the people. Made friends. Great experience.
Dizaiah — Google review
No Man's Land, a small island that has changed considerably over the years. Now, the tour boats drop you off and there are food vendors waiting for you to join the queue. Personally, I come to bathe. Days of experiencing where cold water and warm water meet, but are distinct, seem to have disappeared. There is not much to do here other than eat and take a dip. Still, it is nice to visit after the Nylon Pool before heading back.
Gerry J — Google review
This was the last stop on the boat tour. Beautiful place , for walks , picnic . Food served is delicious and the sellers very helpful. I enjoyed my time here
Abigael N — Google review
Part of the boat tour, No Man's Land is such a beautiful stop. Amazing sand, with many pieces of dead coral. Bright blue and green hues depending on where you go around this piece of land. There are many food huts here with local dishes. Saw little crabs going in their holes on the other side of the island. Very nice place.
Sudesh S — Google review
No mans land is the last stop of the tour. The place can be chill or loud depending on when you go. Make sure and walk with cash to buy food from locals because you will be hungry after seeing the buccoo reef and nylon pool.

Nestled in the serene town of Plymouth, Fort James is a captivating historical site that offers a glimpse into Tobago's past. Originally constructed in the 18th century by British soldiers during the Revolutionary War, this coastal fortification was designed to safeguard against rebel forces. Named after James, Duke of Courland, it boasts remnants of its military glory with four cannons and stone structures still standing proudly on an elevated headland.
Excellent place to visit, peaceful and serene. Lot of rich Tobago history. Great views.

Another Fort in Tobago. Not my favorite but it's still nice. View is great and parking is available. Just like many other places in Tobago, it is well maintained. Nearby are two other attractions (tomb stone and monument). Fort is smaller than some others that can be found around Tobago. Sounds of the ocean and waves are heard here and it's very relaxing.
Nicky G — Google review
We visited the fort on an excursion today and it was serene. This was initially built in late 1700s and has been upgraded to a fort in early 1800s with permanent barracks. The 18 pounder guns have been preserved well and the walls of the fort built using limestone and coral has stood the test of time. Nice place to visit if you're in the area.
Sanka I — Google review
Fort James is beautiful. Shout out to the snow cone lady at the entrance. Your snocones are divine (you can ask her for the free sprinkles 😜)my concern is that Fort James' foundation is crumbling somewhat and the edges are undermined. You can see where the original barrier was that was removed and placed more inward but even those barriers seem to be crumbling. That's an accident waiting to happen! Whatever body or cooperation that is in charge of upkeep needs to decide what to do to preserve this fort and keep it safe for visitors. The views are breathtaking! And it's very calm and peaceful and relaxing to sit on a bench and take in the views or have a picnic on the grass. Please take your trash with you and keep Tobago clean! 🙏🏾

Quite. Clean on the inside. Beautiful view of the ocean. Fort built using limestone and coral from the area. The fence around it needs to be fixed in order to prevent accidental falling over. Also there were some rubbish stuck on the plants just outside the fencing and the gate was damaged as well.

La Cantina is a delightful eat-in and take-out pizzeria that promises to impress every guest with its casual dining experience. Nestled in the vibrant Crown Point strip, this charming spot offers over 30 varieties of authentic Italian pizzas, alongside fresh salads and paninis. Whether you're planning a family outing or a romantic evening with someone special, La Cantina sets the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Good pizza and good service. We ordered large mushroom and shrimp pizzas, both good. Would recommend.

Each time I visit Tobago I usually go eat at La Cantina. However this time I found the pizzas a bit tasteless. At least service was good and I was happy with my drinks. I got a Sorel Rhum Punch and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. Until next time la Cantina.
Lawrence — Google review
Let's start by saying they have the Best Italian Pizzas by Far.... The restaurant can definitely do with some upgrade to uplift the Ambiance and their Service was extremely slow. Had to wait a little bit long for simple things like beers. But overall it's always a good experience at La Cantina Tobago.
Visham R — Google review
The food and service is always exceptional when I go to la cantina. However the outdoor section comes with tiny friends that buzz around your food and tried to suck your blood. From mosquitoes, moths to flies. They had it. Next time I am walking with my bug repellant. The food was soooooo great I didn't even get a chance to take a pic. I just snapped the drinks.
Christal J — Google review
It was my first time visiting Tobago with my partner, and we decided to stop by La Cantina — and honestly, I was amazed! From start to finish, it was a 10/10 experience. The pizzas were absolutely delicious, each one full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The staff were some of the friendliest I’ve ever met — so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. I truly believe the gentleman who attended to us was the manager, and if so, he’s doing an excellent job. His professionalism and warmth made the whole dining experience unforgettable. I’d recommend La Cantina to anyone visiting Tobago — it’s one of those places that leaves you smiling long after you’ve left. I was wowed, and I can’t wait to go back! 💕🍕🌴
Flowers.In.a T — Google review
La Cantina has a nice and casual ambiance and friendly staff, but I found the pizza to be just average. The ingredients seemed okay, but the flavor and texture didn’t quite stand out compared to other places. Ingredients a bit sparse. It's a decent spot if you’re in the area. Parking is available, and there are outdoor and indoor dining options
NirzVlogs — Google review
Service and pizza quality have definitely dropped since management change. The best pizza in Tobago still. Would recommend but it's not as it used to be long ago.
V — Google review
Wanted a milkshake and La Cantina came up as an option in the Store Bay area (Cones and Coffee was closed..). Can't rate their pizza even though that's their main offering, but milkshake was a disappointment. Too watery to be considered an ice cream based product. Chocolate tasted okay, but Papa Smurf you definitely can skip...

The steak and fish were wonderful! The staff were super friendly, and the place was very clean and professional. I had a great time, and enjoyed the wonderful foods!

Had the coconut cheesecake here years ago and went back recently for lunch. Hands down the best food I had in Tobago, and the cheesecake still ranks as my #1. Service and ambience is excellent.

We enjoyed out night here. The food is top tier and worthy of prestigious food awards. For appetizers we had callaloo soup & jerk fish with plantains. Main courses were the Barrel eye fish with creole sauce and Barracuda fish with butter & garlic sauce. Both served with ochra rice and seasonal vegetables. For dessert we shared cheese caked topped with coconut flakes...yum. The portions were more than enough. $200 US for a party of 3 that also includes drinks. 2/3 had Stag Beers while the other opted for juice. Our host of the night who we believe to be the owner (we didn't ask) was attentive and very pleasant. She was also accommodating and entertaining. That same energy was shared with other guests as well. We shall return.

The food was excellent, fresh, and well-prepared. The service was good, and the lovely veranda provided welcome respite from the afternoon sun. We will definitely return.

Our last lunch in Tobago at The Fish Pot was the perfect send-off! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the first bite of their freshly prepared hamburgers, we knew we were in for something special. The fish with pasta, topped with an unforgettable alfredo sauce, was a highlight – genuinely a "best I've tasted" moment. The service was a joy, attentive without being intrusive, and the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere, enhanced by the gentle sea breeze, made for an idyllic lunch setting. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal at The Fish Pot; it's a must-try for both lunch and dinner!

Mount Irvine Bay

4.7
(59)
Bay
Mount Irvine Bay is a haven for divers of all levels, with dive sites like The Wall and the deeper Extension offering diverse marine life such as lobsters, batfish, stingrays, and sea turtles. For those seeking a more secluded beach experience, Back Bay provides a hidden escape just a short distance from the main beach. Accessible via a dirt track or rocky scramble, this tranquil spot is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a serene setting for relaxation.
Surfing on the right and snorkeling on the left. A wonderful beach with clear and calm waters to bathe in and waves on the right to surf. There are also very nice beach facilities. The parking is a bit limited but there is a road that allows you to park very near to the beach so that you have easy access to your car from the beach and its right adjacent to the beach facilities. The beach is also very easy to drive to being right on the main road.

one of my favorite places in Tobago. The bay offers amazing snorkeling sites and exceptional dive sites. The beaches themselves generally have clear, calm and clean water with easily accessible beaches, each supporting a beach facility and nice sand with few stones on the shore. despite the calmness, in the norther corner, surfable waves develop.

Experience the magic of "Being-with-Horses" in Tobago, where you can stroll through wetlands and ride along the clear blue waters of Buccoo Bay. Learn about horse care, body language, and connecting with nature while interacting with horses that choose you based on natural affinity. The hosts are passionate about their horses and provide an eye-opening experience in understanding their paddocking and care.
This was an amazing experience. We booked a simple visit and had so much fun. The guides were great and we got to interact so much with the horses. I didn't imagine that I would have so much fun and I will definitely remember this adventure. It was my.first ever experience with horses and hopefully there will be more. Well done to the team.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to take part in a Healing with Horses experience, and it was truly beyond words. From the moment I arrived, I felt wrapped in calm, warmth, and something deeply sacred. The connection I felt with the horses was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced ,their gentle presence, silent understanding, and emotional intuition were simply breathtaking. It’s amazing how these majestic animals can sense what you’re feeling without you saying a word. They helped me feel so present, grounded, and emotionally open , I found myself tearing up more than once, not from sadness, but from something healing, something real. The session was both soothing and educational. We learned how horses mirror human energy and emotion, and how working with them can help us reconnect with ourselves on a deeper level. It wasn’t just an activity , it was an emotional reset, a moment of clarity in a noisy world. The founder of the program is such a beautiful soul ,warm, compassionate, and so in tune with both people and horses. You can feel their heart in everything they do, and they create a space that feels safe, nurturing, and completely judgment-free. This experience touched me deeply and stayed with me long after I left. If you’re looking for something meaningful, soul-nourishing, and truly healing, I highly recommend this. It’s more than just time with horses — it’s a journey back to yourself.

Unique experience. Veronika is responsive on what’s app and very precise with instructions regarding booking, sufficient information provided prior Rinding in this manner is unique and espically for novice or new riders can be a bit fearful. You feel safe firstly by the seeming authority and experience of the handlers but also by their number and how responsive they are during the experience. The experience itself is beautiful, the first time the horse dip into the cool water then swim it’s something you will remember Mango understands you want pictures and he does this for you to ensure you can focus on riding and being present. This is expensive but well worth it as you clearly see the cost it takes to maintain the animals and provide the experience. Throughly recommend. Ps: be prepared to take a little buff but understand it’s based in the need for safety and a bit of cultural difference.

Unbridled is literally what Veronika and Lennon bring to life with every fabric of their being through their charity. Being with Horses embodies authenticity, humility and respect for each other, other living beings, and the environment in everything they do. From the spring water that is personally sourced to the walk to the horses' apartments to the commitment to ride in spite of a yellow weather warning, I felt cocooned in love and care. The horses, although they come from different parts of the world, demonstrate the essence of Tobagonian magnanimity, calmness and resilience. You will leave with the wonder of being alive, wholly enveloped in love and a piece of Tobago in your heart.

I visited for my 30th birthday & it was an awesome & life-changing experience! The whole atmosphere was so peaceful and the session was informative & interactive with the horses. The coaches are also highly knowledgeable & kind. I'll definitely be back.

Didn't think Tobago could get any more beautiful but it did. An experience with Healing with Horses Tobago is not something you should be missing. My fiancé and I were starry eyed after our experience. We've definitely fallen in love with the entire experience. Memories for a lifetime. But, I'm already planning to do it again! Touched by the care and dedication of Veronika and Lennon and the team and we left there with a deep appreciation for the horses. 10/10 would recommend!

Title: $350 for Insults and Tears - DO NOT GO We paid $350 for a tour that ended with our children being harassed and insulted by the owner, Veronica. She repeatedly called them "slow" and asked if they were “special” in a derogatory manner and belittled them throughout the entire 3.5-hour ordeal. This was not a fun experience; it was a expensive, stressful lesson in humiliation that left our kids crying. I am utterly disgusted. Never bring your children here. The owner's behavior is unacceptable and abusive.

Great work and lots of passion for horses, nature, spirituality and helping people with special needs in the local community. They also organise 2 hours horse riding experiences for beginners along beautiful empty Bucco Beach. The horses will wade through the sea with you on their back. You can book and pay online. Sunday School is a lively street party that happens every Sunday evening and night in Buccoo, Tobago. The event has now been relocated to Captain Sand Bar due to the construction of the goat racing stadium. The renowned Buccooneers steel orchestra puts on an impressive show from 9pm until around 11:30pm, followed by a late-night party with younger locals until about 4am.
A vibrant cultural experience! The steelpan music, delicious food, and lively crowd make for an unforgettable Sunday night. A true taste of Tobago’s culture.

SUNDAY SCHOOL!!! Indeed if you are in town on a Sunday night you are in for an amazing treat and it’s free, correct free! Steelpan drums and a great atmosphere of an outdoor concert on the water this is a must do on a Sunday evening with friends, family or just on your own.
Shaun R — Google review
A street party that starts at 8 pm but nothing happens at that time. A bit later a DJ starts to play an extremely loud music but nobody seems to be interested. There is absolutely no reason to go there before 10 pm when the steel pan music strarts. That's the only great part of the party and the reason for my 4 star rating. At about 11 pm the party continues with very loud music, local singers, drunken tourists, etc. :D

Bay
Buccoo Bay is a picturesque mile-long beach protected by the stunning Buccoo Reef, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling, diving, fishing, and swimming in the calm turquoise waters. Visitors can enjoy the white sands and explore Marion's Rock and the ruins of a villa at the far end of the beach. On Sundays, tourists can experience the lively street party known as Sunday School with steel band music and local stalls.
Absolutely in love with this beach! Calm turqouise waters and creamy beige sands! There are a lot of trees on the shore shading you until you're ready to soak in the sun. Jet skiing and other water activities are available; which makes for a beautiful experience on those waters. Buccoo Bay should be a 'must visit' when you're in Tobago!

Always a wonderful experience, horses from HWH pass through daily for their walks. Can be very busy and have loud music on weekends but the beach is large enough for a spot for beach lovers. Food stalls and drink are available as well as activities such as ATV rides, Danny's Waterpark during the summer school holidays and of course riding horses along the beach and even in the water through HWH.

Incredible modern Caribbean food! We came here on our first night in Buccoo and it did not disappoint. The location is beautiful - we watched the sun set over the reef - and the food was incredible. The dishes were Caribbean style with a contemporary twist. They have vegan options too. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. Everything was flavoured amazingly and complemented each other really well. The cocktails were also very delicious and reasonably priced! A must visit for anyone in Buccoo!

Everything from the view, the food and service was excellent. I had the goat's cheese and beetroot salad as an appetizer and the slow grilled rack of lamb for an entrée. My eyes closed with the first bite of each, and there was an unconscious happy food dance. 10/10 highly recommend

The surroundings are gorgeous, set right next to the Buccoo Boardwalk. I had their Blackened Red Snapper with caramelised plantains, coconut sauce & basmati rice. The portions were too small and the fish was too salty. The dining experience was a disaster because there was not proper ventilation, it felt hot like a furnace. I gave them 1 star because the waitress was very friendly and the restaurant accommodated me on short notice… However I will not be coming back to this establishment in future.

This was such a lovely meal! It's a bit upscale but definitely worth having at least one meal here while in Bucco. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very serene.

Very good restaurant with excellent local dishes like fish cake. Shrimps on curry just delicious, no wine card but beer is fine. Very attentive service, price is ok. Even the online reservation worked. And than the top place for continuing the evening as the 'sunday scool' starts 9pm so the steel drums are not immediately burning, as first some tourists songs needs to be played. After this ?? Hell what a music! Top place to go in this area.

My wife and I went with a couple friends and our toddlers. They were so warm to the kids and even more so friendly to help us accommodate their needs. The food was ON POINT. I have had many steaks from a wide range of places including the famous Texas in the food ole USofA and let me say this. By far the best Ribeye ever. Perfect medium rare with a very crisp crust on the outside (almost impossible to get at a restaurant) with the most delicious wine butter reduction. This will be a regular for me and my family !

La Tartaruga is a top-notch Italian restaurant in Tobago, known for its homage to the leatherback turtles that visit nearby shores. The menu offers a wide range of Italian cuisine, including fresh seafood, homemade pasta, vegetarian options, and an impressive selection of Italian wines. Chef Gabriele De Gaetano's passion for food shines through in his dishes. The restaurant boasts a warm and intimate atmosphere perfect for couples and an extensive wine list curated by the chef himself.
The location is outstanding in Buccoo Bay. The ambiance was inviting and warm. The staff was very attentive, friendly and accommodated my restrictive diet. The food was fresh and just the right amount. The veggies and fish are sourced locally and the pasta ingredients come from Italy, as they should. The owner was super friendly and loved greeting his guests.

Tucked right next to Buccoo Boardwalk, La Tartaruga is a charming little gem offering a truly authentic Italian dining experience. The ambiance is warm, rustic, and homely, with wooden interiors, a cozy wine display, and a bar stocked with an excellent selection of spirits. The open-air setting flows seamlessly into the lush outdoor greenery, giving diners a breezy, relaxed island feel while still maintaining a touch of European elegance. When it comes to the food, La Tartaruga delivers authenticity. The appetizers were a highlight, rating a solid 9/10 for flavor and presentation. The mains—both lunch and dinner—were hearty and satisfying, though leaning slightly more towards a 7/10, perhaps reflecting my personal bias toward stronger Trinidadian flavors. Still, the quality and authenticity were undeniable. The drinks menu, particularly the wine selection, is impressive. The curated list complements the food beautifully and adds a touch of sophistication that elevates the dining experience. Overall: La Tartaruga blends Italian authenticity with Caribbean charm. It’s a place where you can enjoy excellent wine, great food, and a laid-back yet refined atmosphere. While some mains may not have the boldness I’m used to from local cuisine, it remains a must-visit restaurant in Tobago for both visitors and locals seeking a taste of Italy. ⭐ Appetizers: 9/10 ⭐ Mains: 7/10 ⭐ Drinks/Wine: 9/10 ⭐ Ambiance: 9/10 ⭐ Desert: 6/10 📍 Verdict: Good food, excellent wines, wonderful setting – highly recommended

Did a wine tasting session here and there are no words. The wine was immaculate but the entire experience from start to end is a must-see and must-try for anyone visiting Tobago. This is what a taste of Italy feels like and the food, simple plates to go with each round of wine, was delicious 😋 I'll be visiting this restaurant whenever I am in Buccoo Tobago. It cannot and will not be a one and done. Too too good 😩😩😁
Khadine D — Google review
Our reservation was made to have lunch and the food was good, very tasty (Penne Alfredo and Penne Bolognese) and it was served at an optimal temperature (warm to - hot). Our wait time was about 8 minutes. In terms of drink, our waitress helped us through the selection and even allowed us to sample the wine of choice. Neither person at the table is a fan of red wine but the chosen wine was delectable and enjoyable. Can't remember exactly which wine it was but it was in the "By the Glass" section of the menu and I'm sure the waitress can guide you to a selection. Also, our waitress was respectful, kind, courteous and helpful, really cementing the experience as a class action in first experiences. P. S. The website has almost all the information and allows for booking via phone or WhatsApp, highly recommend you check it out before reserving or walking in. Additionally, the boardwalk as well as the ILoveBuccoo sign is in close proximity to the restaurant making for a scenic view of the greater Buccoo beach area. However, at the time we came for lunch some light maintenance being done around the restaurant and the sound of drilling not to far from our table often disrupted conversations. "But besides that everything was perfect, I loved it."

Nice Italian restaurant with good service, ambience and a decent wine list. We ordered the tomino grigliano, chicken alfredo, spinach cannelloni, and a tiramisu and enjoyed it all. We had bellinis to start and then a couple of herb teas at the end of the meal. Would recommend

The main course was delicious. But desert portions are definitely on the smaller side they were tiny with HUGE prices for teeny weeny portions, my desert was 75TTs and I got a singular scoop of icecream (without the normal extra half-ish scoop which hangs off the icecream scoop) 5 marshmallows (the tiny ones) and 2 oreos. Personally this was more toddler friendly than 5,7 sized. If you want to ask “is this it??? whilst crying” for desert then yes doo go. But if you’re looking for something on the smaller portioned size then the food would suit you as it was nice. It’s probably a me thing, I just like more than 3 mouthfuls of pudding.

Adventure Farm and Nature Reserve is a must-visit destination in Tobago, offering a unique experience of exploring a 12-acre working organic estate engaged in sustainable agriculture. The reserve provides an opportunity for birdwatching, with the chance to see hummingbirds, motmots, blue-grey tanagers, and more up close. Visitors can take leisurely walks along the trails to observe the diverse flora and fauna before relaxing on the viewing deck to watch the birds feeding.
This nature reserve offers plenty of opportunities to be up close with the birds. The staff would feed the birds which allows us to watch them pretty close. I very much enjoyed birdwatching and the native landscape here. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of them took us to show a baby humming bird.

Admittedly, I'm not a huge nature person, but this place has definitely peeked my interests in wanting to enjoy the outdoors even more. You pay before you enter, and I believe it's just about helping to maintain the place. I got to feed bananas and seeds to the birds with my son, who really loved the experience as well.

I visited the Farm on 25th September 2019. On the afternoon I went I was the only visitor on the property. I spent about 2.5 hours there and it was so peaceful. I can imagine that the atmosphere is very different when there are more people about. I was invited by the staff to stay as long as I wanted. The garden was beautiful and I took my time just sitting on benches, looking at the plants and listening to the birds. I spent the last hour watching the birds feeding. It was fascinating. I know nothing about birds but even I found it interesting. I would recommend that you visit to the reserve on a dry day as the path to the garden is very steep, uneven and it is not paved. An enjoyable visit.

I've been back over and over and will be returning again. Adventure Farm is so relaxing and beautiful, from the bird, gecko and frog sounds to the fish pond and mango ice cream there's so much to enjoy that it's impossible to pick out my favourite part. Historical landmark
The Courland Monument in Plymouth, Tobago, commemorates the first European settlement on the island by pioneers sent by the Duke of Courland in 1654. The modern architecture of the monument, built in 1976 next to Fort James, stands as a tribute to these early settlers and their occupation. Visitors can learn about this significant historical site and its connection to Tobago's coveted position in the Caribbean.
I have not been to the monument in person but learning about the life of Janis Mintiks is fascinating. And especially about his poor wife, the victim in the Murder at the Mets. The monument is harsh and brutalist, and random, I can feel the sculptor's chaos in this piece.

Great Courland Bay (Turtle Beach)

4.4

Great Courland Bay, also known as Turtle Beach, is a stunning location where athletes from all over the world participate in a challenging multisport race that includes swimming, cycling, and running. The beach boasts clear and calm waters but lacks lifeguards. Visitors are urged to be mindful of waste disposal to protect the nesting site for turtles and prevent harm to marine life.
Lovely beach. Weekday was perfect because we had it to ourselves. Lots of shaded areas. Please take your rubbish 🗑 or use the bins provided.

Beautiful beach by the park. The park is cleaned and rubbish picked almost every other day when we were there. No life guards. Perfect spot for relaxing on a hammock, enjoy the sun, views, playing sports.

Visited on Sep 24, 2018: Beautiful beach and its not over crowded, the beach is relatively long and there’re also some ppl who are selling fruits. Sometimes the waves a quite big but its still enjoyable.

Lovely for a stroll or taking a little dip..

Beautiful beach. Clear usually calm waters. Note there are no life guards. I gave 4 stars because when I visited there were bags of rubbish at the sides of the road and some plastic items along parts of the beach. This is a turtle nesting site and if the plastics and other rubbish gets into the water the marine animals can eat it and die! Sometimes these plastics can also become entangled with sea creatures and make them grow deformed. Please be careful with how and where you all dispose of garbage.

Beach is really long, and the water is so clear. There is even a section cordon off with rocks that cocoons you if you come with kids. Nice and shallow for them to bathe. Most certainly, I will visit when I'm in Tobago again.

Bay
Nestled along Grafton Road between Mt. Irvine and Black Rock, Stonehaven Bay is a hidden gem in southwest Tobago that offers an array of experiences for visitors. The northern end, near the Grafton Beach Resort, is perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts eager to explore vibrant underwater life. Nature lovers will be thrilled to know that this bay serves as a nesting ground for leatherback turtles from March to June, making it an ideal spot for turtle watching.
The water is so clear and beautiful. Very long stretch of open sand, good for playing games like volley ball and football

December 2022 and the waves were very strong so a beach walk was not a great option and swimming impossible A previous visit of three years ago was very different with calmer seas and a chance to go snorkeling It's a characterful beach with its black rocks and some lovely palm trees. The sand is quite dark ...black in places! You can sit on a terrace overlooking the beach if you go to Waves.

Easily accessible. Good parking. Carry bug repellent for the early morning and late evening times.
Mr. J — Google review
It has no life guards and only specific areas are suitable for bathing. You can chat with a local for advice and get to totally enjoy the experience!

One of Tobago's unknown gems.. it continues to grow in popularity. Lacking appropriate beach faculties I'm convinced that the relevant parties won't address the on going costal erosion until the shoreline reaches the main road..

Low key gorgeous beach. Very clean. Quiet <3
Ashley K — Google review
the hotels and homes in this area Black Rock are letting their water sewerage directly into the water you can see it all along the beach flowing into the water.... Tobago may have this problem in many area

Horrible horrible customer service. Firstly The worker came to take 4 customers order without pen and paper Secondly asking what’s the difference between something “idk is the same thing” Thirdly I didn’t enjoy what I got so I asked her to take it back (full plate)..she brought back the menu but didn’t even come back to take my order.(she came back for condiments) And last but not least asking for the bill and she told me I have the pay for the meal I didn’t eat because other customers liked it . The drinks wasn’t good either.

Good drinks, food and service. They close at 10 pm and don't open on Mondays. But it's a great place to hang out.
