Beaches
Playa La Boquita is a vast, family-friendly shoreline with calm, shallow waters and adorned by cozy seafood eateries. The beach boasts remarkable beauty, with small metallic glimmers scattered across its sandy expanse, creating a unique and captivating appearance. Additionally, the surrounding area offers abandoned houses that form an enchanting hiking trail for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can also enjoy various ramadas serving delectable seafood dishes and conveniently located camping areas.
Beautiful clean playa. Calm, swimmable with rentable tables, chairs, umbrellas. Lots of vendors for food.
Maria F — Google review
Very clean beach and the water shimmers a mesmerizing gold colour. It's considered one of the favourites in the area for younger children but on a windy day, the waves are still pretty large and rough. Not exactly tranquil but I guess compared to other local beaches, it is. It's fairly remote if you don't have a car or use a taxi, but you can also bus and walk in. Count on at least a 20- to 25-min walk along the beach in that case. In the restaurant zone, the umbrellas are stacked so tightly together, you're nearly sitting on your neighbour's lap. Vendors are a constant parade up and down the beach; it gets rather tiresome with the more aggressive ones all day. If you aren't in the restaurant zone, this is a huge beach with tons and tons of room to spread out. Bring your own umbrella and it's an ideal place to swim on a hot day.
Ashleigh G — Google review
Amazingly beautiful beach. There are small metallic sparks all over the beach that gives it a beautiful and unique look. There are some abandoned houses over the mountain, that makes a beautiful trail for hiking. There are lots of ramadas where you can get seafood and camping areas
Nikolass G — Google review
Rentals are expensive. Inflatable ride was 100p per person for a single ride. Jetski rental was 800p for 30min. Beach is clean and free of large waves. Perfect for family's with younger children. Service was bad and expensive. The bathrooms across street run off and give a foul smell that lingers and is offensive
Victor V — Google review
This is a nice place to visit if you get a chance I recommend that you get here early and rent an umbrella for an average of $180 pesos. You can rent a jet sky for around $500 pesos, they also offer boat trips. They have local food restaurants and many options to buy different souvenirs. Plan in advance to spend a whole day here. You can also rent a condo or vacation home at an affordable price in Colinas de Santiago which is about 1 mile away from Playa Boquita.
Mary T — Google review
The beach is very nice. It's surrounded by mountains and the current is not too strong. The water is nice and cold, not too cold though. The sand has a nice gold shimmer to it when it's wet and a silver shine on the dry areas. Theres a bunch of people that do boat rides or banana rides and they sell everything you need in case you forget sonething. Very beautiful.
V A — Google review
This is my least favorite Manzanillo beach because it is less accessible and is a bit more rocky, especially to the left. The lagoon is adjacent which makes the water more turbid than other beaches in the area. There are also plenty of wasps, mostly yellow jackets. The big plus of this beach is snorkeling the shipwreck 500 meters offshore, otherwise it would be a three star beach. There is plenty of food, parking and the usual vendors.
Jim B — Google review
250 pesos for a palapa and 2 chairs. A bit expensive but depends how long you will stay. Beach is beautiful with soft sand and little waves.

Oasis Ocean Club is a beachfront hangout in Manzanillo that offers quick bites like burgers and tacos, along with a variety of beer and cocktails. The restaurant is known for serving some of the best seafood in the area, prepared by top chefs. With its waterfront dining and happy hour cocktails, it's the perfect spot for those seeking a holiday filled with ice-cold beers and margaritas on the beach.
Certainly! Here’s an enhanced version of your review: An Unforgettable Experience! We stumbled upon Oasis Ocean Club in Manzanillo by accident, and it turned out to be an absolute gem! The stunning views and upscale yet comfortable ambiance set the tone for an incredible evening. Our party of four started with three appetizers, and each one was a masterpiece—especially the scallops, which were unbelievably good, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The curry was out of this world—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The portion sizes were generous, and the lobster fettuccine was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The food alone is worth the visit, but the service took the experience to another level. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, the staff made sure every detail was just right. This place is a true standout, and I’m already counting down the days until I can return. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Manzanillo. Simply phenomenal!
Jakob I — Google review
It's a lovely setting and the staff was friendly. I wish we sat up top with the fabulous view. The margaritas and sangria were pretty good. The guacamole looked great but not seasoned at all. Nobody wanted the leftovers. The ceviche seemed like it was precooked, so not really ceviche. My tacos were fine. The meat was seasoned but guac and other toppings were bland. Limes were not offered. Others in our party loved the dumplings and coconut shrimp.
Linda M — Google review
Our servers, Raul and Co. did a great job. The tuna /sushi appetizer was really good! Sangrias were mild flavored. For the main course, we had the blackened Salmon, which was cooked perfectly, but "blackened" it was not. My dining partner had the Lobster fettuccine, it was very rich and flavorful! Portions are generous and the view can't be beat. A very nice area of Manzanillo, well worth the price and drive.
Peter D — Google review
Have been there a lot of times. Nice big restaurant in Manzanillo to look at the sea, feel the air, and at night watch the sunset. (At night it gets nice for drinks and stuff). All the dishes are big, they come full of flavors and are perfect for sharing. I recommend everything. The fish is good, the ceviches are good, everything with tuna, all the tacos are delicious with fresh tortillas. And the service is really slow, but overall in Manzanillo basically.
Isabella G — Google review
What a charmed life we lead. We're visiting friends who live nearby, and they wanted to share this favourite spot of theirs. We now realize how splendid it is. The food was excellent, the drinks served by friendly and personable staff really make this a place you must visit when in Manzanillo.
Jan ( — Google review
They have some international type dishes in addition to traditional Mexican, i.e., something a little different. All with lots of flavor and a good presentation. Ocean view, good service. Nice breeze or they have large floor fans if needed.
Wade S — Google review
This review is based on three experiences at the Oasis Ocean Club. The food is great, and the views are spectacular. Overall, the service is wonderful; one time, it was noticeably less than ideal, but my assumption is that time was an anomaly. Fish Tacos and Shrimp Burger are highly recommended.
Christopher G — Google review
For a place that had all very different styles of foods / cuisine, I was a little hesitant, but glad to report I was very pleasantly surprised. All the lunch dishes we ordered were delicious, view was amazing, and there were some dogs there while we ate so it made it all more enjoyable!

Restaurant
Portofino, located at Club Santiago, boasts two excellent dining establishments. The al fresco setting near the pool creates a delightful atmosphere. Their wood-fired pizza offers a crispy crust that isn't overly doughy, complemented by a sauce that strikes the perfect balance of spice. Toppings are generously piled on. In addition, their fettuccine with shrimp is flawlessly cooked. Service is attentive without being intrusive. A return visit is certainly warranted for this enjoyable dining experience.
Very good flavors. The pizza and mussels in white whine are a must!

Oh. My. Goodness. The only reason the food didn’t get a 5 star. Because the pasta. Was a little dry. We had takeout. And when we got back to house. Calamari was still hot. Caesar salad dressing. Was excellent Very happy with our food
Cindy M — Google review
We ordered ceasar salad and Pizza. Both were very disappointing. The Ceasar salad was over dressed and not very tasty. The Hawaii pizza was not cut properly and the crust was tough to chew. The ham was very salty. The waiter asked us how are meal was, so I gave him my honest appraisal. He went to tell the owner and encouraged us to tell him of our dissatisfaction with our meal. On the way out I relayed the information. He said he hopped we would give them another opportunity to improve. In the future. Our impression is pizza may not be the best choice for this eatery. We are from Chapala and there is a great Italian restaurant that has great pizza and Ceasar salad.

Its great to have two good restaurants in Club Santiago. The outdoor atmosphere around the pool provided a wonderful ambiance. The woodfired pizza crust was crisp and not overly doughy, sauce was not too spicy, and the toppings were plentiful. The fettuccine w shrimp was perfectly cooked as well. Service was attentive without being overbearing. We well be back.

Very good dining experience tonight. Chicken Parmesan, lasagna, and mussels were very good. Service was great and we even enjoyed some fine music. Nice restaurant with fair pricing, worth checking out. Definitely will be going back to check out more menu options.
Dan M — Google review
The food is ok but very overpriced. We ordered pizza with bacon, mushrooms, and pineapple and that was $360 pesos. For comparison that pizza should have cost around $150 in another restaurant.

Ensure that you are aware of the conditions regarding American currency and credit cards at Casino Riviera, as there is a program in place that requires either a 50% deposit or loss to withdraw funds. This program may raise some concerns due to its questionable nature. Additionally, it is worth noting that table games are only available from 5 pm onwards, with only slot machines accessible before then.
Have to say it's a small casino, but nice and easy to get around and the staff couldn't have been any more helpful to get us up and going! Will return again

Just make sure you know with American dollars and credit cards they have some program you either have to make 50%or lose 50% to get ur money out. Kinda shady deal. Located near the Soriana department store, it offers a variety of local dishes such as handmade tortillas, sizzling lava bowls, Chamorro, aztec soup, and fajitas. The open-air restaurant has a nice ambiance with soft lighting, a waterfall, and a pond. Customers praise the delicious traditional Mexican food and the large menu with good variety.
Went out with family ordered a parrillada that more than fed all of us and meat was cooked perfectly. Best tortillas I’ve ever had. Ate breakfast the next day and the chilaquiles were also fantastic. Service was great too, no complaints at all.

Fun spot! The atmosphere is great. The food was good, but what makes this place awesome is the vibe. Fajitas were popular. Did not care for the sausages.
S R — Google review
Poor service. Asked waiter a specific question about the menu and the waiter answered wrong, he said a dish was not spicy and ended up being extremely spicy. Had to reorder something else and was still charged for the food we rejected.
James B — Google review
Shocked and not sure the food was my order but after that we were ignored. No follow up for drinks and when asked for the bill, left with no one to come pick it up. Will never return.

Great spot with a big menu with many sweet and savoury options. Lively atmosphere with a giant goldfish pond in the centre. It's on a busy main road but the traffic noise is not bad. Great spot for breakfast or brunch any day of the week!

Came here with my wife and son. she was trying to show me good places to eat here in her hometown. Our order was brought out 1 by 1. 15 minutes apart. They forgot about my club sandwich. Also, they rushed my fries and they weren’t cooked. Highly do not recommend for any American travelers nor locals.

Recent update: Today I visited this restaurant again, the tortilla chips for the chilaquiles were not crunchy but bit hard to chew. Cristina's service, although she was not ours, was great as well. I'll keep the 3 stars. **** Food was ok however the service was awful. The waitress was either stressed or upset with us, she gave us the dishes all wrong and anytime we would ask for something she looked upset. I had to ask another waitress for more coffee because ours would just never bring it. As a side note we were very polite and always asked with a please and a thank you, we were not bad customers.

Good breakfast place. I went here twice in 3 days. Get here early or be prepared to wait for a table.
Mike K — Google review
Meh. We came because of Google's recommendation and the good reviews. It was busy, but there was no wait to get a table. Unfortunately we got the bare minimum of service and after bringing out our food they never came back to check on us. They forgot to give us utensils, we were given no salt or pepper and we had to be hunting them for our check. We got the recommended items which are the chilaquiles with a side of meat and refried beans. Overall the food was bland. The beans and bread were good. It could had used a bit of salt, but there was none to be found. Chilaquiles seemed to be made from chips, not fried tortilla. I loved the coffee. As a matter of fact, I wanted more, but they never stopped by our table after dropping off the food. I get the place is popular with Manzanillo's white collars, but there are honestly better breakfast places nearby.

Playa Las Brisas is a beautiful stretch of beach known for its calm waters, making it perfect for swimming and ideal for families with children. The golden sand adds a beautiful sparkle to the beach, and there are plenty of amenities such as rental chairs, snack vendors, and places to eat and relax. The waiter was friendly, attentive and thoroughly knowledgeable of the menu. The location was clean and had a nice decore. As for the food, the lobster was priced right but you could tell it had been previously frozen. We ordered it made in garlic butter and not only was it overcooked, but the garlic overpowered it. The fish filet was cold when it was brought out and even if you tried to overlook that bit, the fish lacked taste. The salmon was the best plate, the veggies are different than anything I've ever seen, the rice is decent. All in all the only thing it was lacking was a bit of salt. I'm glad I got to try a new place, however I would not return for any kind of meal here.

La Sonrisa is a charming eatery that captures the essence of homey dining, making it a beloved spot for many visitors to Manzanillo. While some patrons have noted a dip in quality during recent visits—particularly with their famed especial de arrachera—the restaurant still shines with its generous portions and friendly service. Diners rave about the delicious quesadillas loaded with meat and accompanied by flavorful salsas, making them perfect for late-night snacks or hearty meals.

Homey atmosphere, in my own opinion, the quality has gone down this last visit. It used to be a great place and our favourites has always been the “especial de arrachera” but this last time we went the meet was super tough and was not clean enough. (Translated by Google) Terrible place! I do not recommend it at all, the payment does not match what it offers you, the beds (if that can be called a bed) are super uncomfortable since the mattress is all old and mattresses on top of it, the bungalow apparently gets cleaned but It is very neglected, There is no order in the pool since they allow people and very loud music until 6am the next day, the bungalows have a small patio with a laundry room but the bad thing is that it connects with all the other patios of the bungalows there is no longer there privacy, they do not offer kitchen utensils, on one side of the bungalows there is a plot of land where homeless people live and it is another point of insecurity, the pool is not cleaned, it is super dirty, the receptionist is not very attentive. The only saving grace about the place is that it is close to supermarkets, pharmacies, shopping malls, Oxxos, etc.

La Toscana in Manzanillo is a top-notch restaurant with excellent food and service. Specializing in seafood, it also offers delicious steak options. The attentive English-speaking staff adds to the pleasant dining experience, while the open south side provides a spectacular view of the ocean, ships entering the port, and the beautiful sunset. The menu features locally caught seafood prepared in various delightful ways.
The food is excellent! Best restaurant by far (that we've been to) in Manzanillo. It's mostly seafood but there is also steak available. The service is also excellent. The wait staff speaks English, they are attentive and very pleasant. And the view is spectacular. The south side of the restaurant is completely open so you can view the ocean and the ships coming into port. Plus all the lights on the mountain sides surrounding the bay. Go there at dusk and you can watch a breathtaking sunset. Average entrée is about 250 pesos; about 25% more than most places, but definitely well worth it.
G. F — Google review
It’s a nice place to share an evening on the ocean shore. Wide variety of seafood.
Alexander A — Google review
I loved La Toscana. Muscles in a wine sauce, various kinds of local sea food and more. Eat what they catch locally. It has all been good. I've been there many times. The staff is nice too. There is entertainment in the evening and the view is great. Expect to pay a little more for the experience but I believe it is worth it.

Located on the beach, overlooking the Manzanillo Bay is this lovely restaurant. The menu is French / Italian with a number of seafood dishes. There are usually a number of special dishes. Make a reservation if you want a beachside table for a romantic evening out with that special person. Food is very good and the service excellent.
Allan Y — Google review
I highly recommend the Mama Mia salad and all of their salads are great with ingredients like pistachios, white grapes, red pears and wonderful dressing. The menu includes many items unavailable in local restaurants including delicious lamb chops and the shrimp imperial is to die for. They have Escargot and crème brûlée. Oh and did I mention the view?
Margaret L — Google review
Stunning location overlooking the ocean, nice breeze at night, easy going live music. Food is OK, second to the view. You won't say Wow! And you won't say Yuck! And you won't leave hungry.

Mariscos Carlos never disappoints. For close to now 10 years it's been one of the top 3 seafood places in Manzanillo. I usually pay a visit thrice a year, last time was a couple of days ago and food was great, the only thing though is that they now give you less appetizers such as the cucumbers and the jicama. I'm glad the main dishes portions are still very good. I hope Carlos keeps the good work on his restaurant and he keeps serving too. Good leaders always get they hands dirty :)

Pacifica del Mar is a gem in Manzanillo that truly captures the essence of coastal dining. With its stunning ocean views and versatile seating options—ranging from cozy indoor spots to breezy outdoor areas—this restaurant offers an inviting atmosphere for all. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly their tropical tacos, which have won over many hearts. Guests rave about the attentive service and delightful ambiance, making it a perfect spot for sunset photos on their viewing platform.
The food good & service was very welcoming! We Enjoyed our cocktails and food. Beautiful sunset, it's too bad this place is not busier as we found it to be on of the better restaurants here in Manzanillo.

We had a very good dinner at Pacifica Del Mar in early June. Wife had grilled salmon 🍣 and friend and I split a the Seafood Bowl 🦞🦐 and we each had a very nice lobster bisque soup 🍜 Tasty food, attentive service, reasonable prices, beautiful setting. Recommend.

On the beach and food is delicious. Service is fast and consistent. There's indoor AC seating and covered patio with beach/sand wall. Now, if they could only figure out what to do about the filthy pigeons that persist.

Playa San Pedrito is a charming beach located just a stone's throw from downtown Manzanillo, making it the most accessible spot for both locals and visitors. Once home to a shark fisherman's camp, this beach now offers tranquil waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing under the shade of swaying palm trees. With its inviting atmosphere, Playa San Pedrito features delightful palapa-style seafood restaurants where you can savor fresh local dishes while enjoying the coastal views.
I have an awesome day with my family the water is warm and really enjoyable for the kids

This beach is across from the INM office in Manzanillo. I had planned to eat lunch at one of the restaurants but none were open. The beach itself was clean and very quiet. There were armed national guards posted. Though a little intimidating to see as a foreigner, I know the beach is safer with their presence. People were in the water. Appeared safe and comfortable to cool off. No big waves, very calm. It was pretty amazing to see one of the massive freighters pass by, being escorted from the channel. If you’re looking for a quiet place to get you’re feet wet, this is it. There is a hotel, corner store and a few restaurants on the street and the beach. Good for a picnic 🧺
Kitty H — Google review
A beautiful coastal spot on Mexico’s Pacific side! 🌴 The beach offers warm waters, soft sand, and stunning sunsets — perfect for relaxing or a casual swim. Nearby seafood spots serve delicious local dishes, especially ceviche. 🐟 The port area is one of the busiest in Mexico, mainly for container shipping, so it’s more industrial, but fascinating if you’re into maritime activity. 🚢 You can often see large cargo ships docking and operations running smoothly. Great blend of natural beauty and maritime hustle. Ideal for a beach stroll with a view of the Pacific and port in the distance!

The beach is dirty and the water is full of detritus, mostly plastic. It might be a nice place to go if it was clean, but it is not. The majority of bars are not open in Kate January 2022, therefore there are no facilities.

Iguanario Archundia is a popular attraction in downtown Manzanillo, focusing on iguanas and other wildlife. It started as a hobby and has grown into a sanctuary over 38 years. Visitors can see a variety of iguanas, water turtles, alligators, raccoons, wild boars, and coatis. The site offers an up-close experience with the animals and relies on donations for support.
It's a unique and interesting experience for children and adults. They have several endemic animals. But it is a family business, you can support them by donations since they don't ask for entries.

It's a tiny place but with lots of iguanas feely roaming and racoons a pig and local crocs. You can't see the crocs because they live in the their own habitat. Please support local sanctuaries. You can't bring any pets and the area is not really big but enough to enjoy feeding the iguanas.

For me Neat for about 2 minutes. I don’t like animals in cages. But the iguanas seem happy. Free. Leave a donation. The man fed the iguanas for us when we were there.

Experience the beauty of a New Year's Day sunset at Pata Salada Beach Bar with loved ones. Indulge in a delectable culinary journey encompassing a wide range of seafood and arrachera tacos at this surfside restaurant bar, located right by the beach.
The food was delicious! The service ok, could be better they do take a while to serve you but if your just sitting there and enjoying the beach it's not that bad. The views are amazing 😍 it is a bit pricey though especially for the small portions they serve, a bit "fancy" but the area is not. We spent about $1000 pesos for 4. A couple and 2 kids the kids split a meal, the pasta. I do recommend it though.
Alina — Google review
Not trying to mean to some people's reviews but when your version of season is bland potato salad please don't comment. The food is insane amazing. Tuna tacos killed it. Poke was nuts and the burger. I've seen people do that wrong. This place has a great hamburger. I own a food truck in southern California. I recommend this place hands down. Don't let Karen and her thinking ketchup is spicy fool you. Pay the money to eat here. You spend more on coffee at Starbucks.
Mark A — Google review
It’s actually really good. You get to eat while watching the sea and the sunset, you get the ocean breeze, and there is live music on Fridays I think. If recommend reserving a table if you go on Friday or Saturday, or if you ho to Manzanillo during holiday season (there are more people), otherwise no. I have went without reservation and they give me a table fast. All the shrimps are delicious. Don’t eat the paprika octopus, it’s too sweet and not good.

Impeccable dining experience from the drinks, the atmosphere and especially the food. Not overly complicated dishes but they know how to bring the best out in each ingredient for every dish. My personal favourite is the appetiser octopus in Kalamata olive oil and lime juice. After 2 years spent in various places across Mexico this still stands as my favourite restaurant
Harri M — Google review
For dinner, we found Pata Salada Beach Bar, an amazing beachfront restaurant, with our feet in the sand we enjoyed beer (yes, they have IPA’s), Margaritas, Guacamole, Beet salad, Peruvian Ceviche with Sandra having the rib eye tacos and I had the Mahi Mahi. My Mai Mahi was served with risotto and vegetables sauteed in pesto, all were amazing and complemented each other. We ended dinner with a sample of the chocolate cake for dessert, wow!

Beach club
La Posada Hotel is a charming hacienda-style bed and breakfast located right on the beach in Manzanillo. The hotel's antique stone courtyard, surrounded by lush tropical foliage and swaying coconut palms, creates a friendly and refreshing ambiance. The immaculate property offers a relaxing atmosphere with no TV, allowing guests to unwind on the beach or under an umbrella. While the hotel only serves breakfast, there are plenty of nearby dining options within walking distance or accessible by bus or taxi.
The Hotel is immaculate. From the owner down the employees work very hard to make your stay just perfect. There is no TV which wasn't a problem. We sat on the beach, under an umbrella, and just relaxed. The only meal they offer is breakfast, which is wonderful. Many restaurants are within walking, or you can take the bus or taxi.

Restaurante Juanitos has unexpectedly become a beloved breakfast spot, offering delicious omelets accompanied by house potatoes and refreshing green juice. Their large salads and American coffee with complimentary refills also add to the appeal. Although the service can be slightly slow, it is consistently friendly. Known as the best food establishment in Manzanillo, this restaurant has maintained its reputation over the years with spectacular dishes at great prices.

Manzanillo, Mexico. A culture treasure, Juanitos is located south of the international airport (ZLO). The lines to get in are long but the staff is very efficient. A good mix of international food with a Manzanillo spin. The camarones are delicious, portions just right, and the Milanesa was awesome. Well worth the stop and wait. Buen aprovecho.

My friend had chicken enchaladas with green sauce and I had them with red sauuce. Plate was three enchaladas with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and sprinkle of cheese. No beans or rice, which I was happy about because I tend to not eat them anyway. Enchaladas were delicious. Dinner with three Modelo beers came to 211 pesos.

Waiting time on the table in general 30 min. Food quality is good but overpriced. Every two order will not go as ordered, which is quite annoying. There a a lot of other places we equally or better food quality with better service, almost no waiting time and lower prices with decent parking lot.

Playa Olas Altas, also known as Playa de Oro, is a picturesque beach in Manzanillo. Its alternative name refers to the high waves that attract surfers and boogie boarders to this relatively uncrowded stretch of sand between Playa Santiago and Playa Miramar. Despite the lack of amenities, visitors are drawn to its charm and gentle waves perfect for swimming and water activities. The palm-lined shores provide a delightful backdrop for a relaxing beach day.
We walk here every morning with our small dog. The beach is firm and very walkable. We watch sea birds and ducks skim over the water surface. The sunrise is always spectacular!

Diego M — Google review
Just ok. Was pretty rough while we were there.
Maria F — Google review
It is a beach for local people, on vacs there is too much people and if you want to go you need to do there early, but if go in a normal weekend they are not too much people. The access to the beach is free and there is somo hotels if you want to stay for a night. It is more like a relaxing weekend beach. The prices of the tables can be different depends of the day, if there are too much people the prices get high but if not the prices can be low. You can go there with your food or you can buy there some or you can mix. You can go with your own beer and your music with no problem. The sea are easy there aren't high waves it's more like a big pool and thats is good if you has kids or if you don't swim good.

Nice course, will definitely play again. Can get good deals depending on time and day. Club rentals included everything. The friendly staff is a solid team and helped with everything. Definitely a course to go to if you’re in town and need to get out and play. Don’t expect perfect greens and sand traps. But I’m not in the PGA…so I had a blast out there🤙🏼
Eduardo C — Google review
Cost $120 USD weekdays, twighlight $65 USD, Thursday’s 2:1 green fees anytime. Pros: very interesting set up with elevated greens and many picturesque fairways and par 3’s. Cons: in Canada and USA for $120 you are getting a pristine course, even for $65 typically you get decent... this course fairways are long with little roll, greens are slow and bumpy, sandtraps are like concrete not even fair to hit out of them. Hard to believe they have let course fall into such disrepair. I will look for other local courses to play....
Canuckwineguy 1 — Google review
Very challenging course but lots of fun, we took a caddie (Marcos) who was great, for several rounds which is necessary due to the layout. The caddie & master (Lucas) speak our language and along with the cashier and drink server are very helpful and excellent hosts. The signature hole is the 18th island green ( recently reopened after extensive repairs) right on the ocean and spectacular and tough to par. We were golfing over a period of 3 weeks and noticed lots of grounds work and improvements to the course during this period.
Mark — Google review
The layout is not for the faint of heart...lots of trouble all around the golf course...bunkers, water hazards and not so forgiving fairways throughout the track. Be prepared to donate more than a few balls for the locals to find...the down side was the greens...due the the hurricane that came through a couple years back. It did a number on the course...but they are trying diligently to bring it back hence my 3 star rating...otherwise a 4.5 minimum.
John B — Google review
What used to be a great golf course today is just a poor maintained golf range, second round is just terrible, you may loose your golf ball in the middle of the fairway. Hope administration will take actions, or just close the second 9 and have the golfers play the first 9 which are descent. I wont come back anyways...I throw away 130 usd....
OSCAR L — Google review
No AC in the restaurant seems kind of brutal to me. They need small upgrades like that to make it actually feel nice. Maybe even just fans inside for the restaurant-goers. The man that seems to have an office there inside the restaurant, seemed to be rude to customers and simply had a condescending tone about him.
Luilc — Google review
This course has been purchased by new owners at the beginning of 2023. Just finished playing nine holes and it was in good shape. Spoke to the owner, James, who has great plans and told us we would see more changes when we next play in a few days. Trees are coming down, course is being widened (it has been allowed to overgrow).

I've been here about a half a dozen times each time I get breakfast and a coffee. Never has it disappointed. The coffee's outstanding they roast their own and they know what they're doing with it. If you're in Santiago and you've never been it's definitely worth a try. They've even got vegan options. I haven't been for lunch yet but I'll make another post when I go it's only a matter of time.

Taco restaurant
Tacos Don Julio is a hidden gem in Colima that promises an unforgettable taco experience. This charming little eatery serves up some of the best tacos around, with their carne asada being a standout favorite. However, don’t overlook the chuleta (pork chop) cooked to perfection on the barbecue! Late-night cravings are also satisfied here; I indulged in a steak quesadilla and a volcano dish paired with a refreshing liter of Michelada—everything was simply delicious.
Tasty, affordable, and giving a street food experience! We were really surprised when they started bringing out extra sides with our dishes, which made the experience quite interesting. I think it’s a typical Mexican-style dining experience. I definitely recommend it!
Joanna ( — Google review
Definitely exceeded my expectation and whatever i saw on the outside, did not match what was on the inside of this restaurant on the corner of Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado and Gaviotas. You will know what I mean when you visit. We just wanted a quick bite of carne asada tacos … on the street, that’s all. Taco fix. Unfortunately, some places weren’t ready to serve. So, we kept walking towards the corner of street, peaked inside and said, “this is the one.” It looked busy, tables were occupied and staff were moving out and about inside the restaurant. Tacos Don Julio was the one. As we walked further inside restaurant, were greeted and seated immediately. Placed our order and drinks and in no time, our food had arrived at our table. Didn’t even feel the wait. While we did wait, an array of condiments were brought over. Nice! Food was good, hit the spot. Servers were attentive, efficient and worked together as a team Note: there was mini indoor playground towards far end of restaurant, custom tree trunk sliced wooden dining tables, and unique ceiling decor We may have found our new taco place. We plan to return on our next visit to Manzanillo Recommend👍🏼

A MUST Manzanillo experience! Loved it so much, we had to revisit a few times while on vacation there. Delicious tortillas, guacamole, salsas, beans, beef barbacoa, arachera and shrimp. Good prices, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. My favorite restaurant in Mexico for tacos!

Oh wow! This was quite a surprise! I went for late tacos dinner around 10 PM and they did not disappoint! I had the steak quesadilla, a volcano and a liter Michelada! Everything was yummy! The best is the salsa bar they bring to your table that had 7 items including tostadas, nopales with habanero, two salsas, beans from the pot and the classic onion and cilantro. What a great service! Tortillas are hand made on the spot and you know that takes true Mexican food to another level. I will be back for the seafood as it is only available during the day. Overall, this is a great place to eat tacos with a great service!

Mariscos El Pelon in Santiago is a delightful gem. The chips, salsa, and coconut shrimp are particularly enjoyable. It's a family-owned establishment that truly cares about its customers and it shows through their superb service. Not to mention, they also speak English. This restaurant is worth visiting multiple times during a two-week stay as they serve tasty food made with quality ingredients at reasonable prices.
We visited Mariscos Galván from a referral by the son, a restaurant manager in San Miguel de Allende. What a delicious 🌮🦐 friendly family restaurant! Fair prices. A couple blocks off the main carretera in a neighborhood, we were very welcomed. Muy fría cerveza 🍺 Highly recommend!

Galvan’s had been suggested to us by some fellow Canadian expats. It did not disappoint. I had the "Vuelve a la Vida" cocktail, with shrimp, octopus, scallop & snail. It was delicious. Taco restaurant
Mariscos El Camaron is a seafood restaurant near the beach that offers delicious grilled shrimp and fish tacos. While most dishes are priced at tourist rates, their tacos are reasonably priced at around $2 USD each. However, for a better deal, one can purchase fresh shrimp from the local market and cook it themselves. The restaurant is highly recommended for its top-quality octopus dish and affordable options close to the beach.
this place was the best. I loved the food and the seafood. The tacos were so good and the drinks were amazing. I could go on and on with how clean this place is. And how friendly the people were. But it would be too long. So the next time you come here go to this place and make sure to get the fish tacos and the cocktail. Because they are really good.
