The structure is amazing… just like the pictures you see in Internet. Easy to move around. Handicap friendly. Many spots for snacks and even for lunch or dinner. Inside is big enough to run several events at the same time. We saw The Shiralee… excellent play presentation. Buster really run the show. The terrace around the Opera offers great spots for pictures and opportunities to crash on weddings… many diverse weddings. If you have time, you can visit the Botanical Garden nearby. You can’t miss it, if you are in Sydney!

Of course, the iconic tourist attraction! We usually only take pictures from the outside whenever visiting the Sydney Opera House (SOH). But Alhamdulillah this year we had the chance to watch the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performance. The architecture is really unique. The view from inside SOP to the Harbour Bridge and the surrounding areas is breathtaking! Each performance lasted around 1.5 hours. The multimedia facility as additional modern setting adds to the amazing theatrical experience. I did not expect to watch the ACO with documentary screening as background. There are bar and café on the main concern hall that serves drinks and light snacks. You can enter from the main entrance located under the primary stairs structure, or you can enter via a door with security check-in table to right after the tourist ticketing area. There are many concerts and arts performances for all ages, not just classical opera or orchestra as I used to think. Well, a famous landmark does not need recommendation. It speaks for itself.

Sydney Opera House really leans into that whole “world-famous icon” thing, but once you stand in front of it you cannot unsee the truth. It looks exactly like a giant rack to dry dishes. A premium, waterfront, government-funded dish rack. Someone clearly put the budget on the wrong Pinterest board. It still looks good, no denying that. The patterns on the tiles are gorgeous, the shape is wild, the whole structure owns the harbor like it pays rent for the sun. But the moment the dish-rack comparison hits your brain, it is over. Those shiny white shells become plates waiting to drip dry. And the big question: was it worth the time and money? Honestly, maybe. It is one of those bucket list things you check off because it is famous, not because it changes your life. You go there, you stare at it, you laugh at how much it looks like kitchen equipment, you take the photos, and you move on. Iconic, yes. Beautiful, sure. Worth the hype? Debatable. But unforgettable as the world’s fanciest dish rack.

Stopped by for a quick look around. Sydney is a beautiful city and this part of town is both historic and swanky. Lots of people about enjoying their evening and overall a very good atmosphere. The whole area surrounding the opera house is lovely to explore.

If you are a lover of Broadway, opera or just to see an iconic building, than this is a must see. Take a guided walking tour starting from the basement on up through the inner workings of the back end. Very interesting and informative. Wear comfortable shoes, it’s a lot of walking. If you are going for a great breakfast, don’t count on it. It’s just meh. Breakfast is at the end of the tour in what they call back in the states their commissary but they call it their green room.

Architecture that captivates your heart! I didn't get a chance to go inside, but honestly, the outside view is stunning enough on its own, it has its power to grab everyone's attention. Top Tip: If you want the best possible view, take a ferry from Circular Quay after sunset. Seeing the Opera House from the water at night is an unmissable experience.

Everyone already knows how beautiful the atmosphere is here — it’s one of the main reasons people come. As for the food, the taste is average but enjoyable, and overall it’s good value for money. The prices are actually quite reasonable considering the location and the setting. A Margherita pizza costs about $23, while beers and cocktails start from around $19. If you come around sunset, the view is absolutely stunning and the ambiance becomes even more special with live music playing in the background. It’s a lovely place to relax, have a drink, and soak in the vibe. However, be prepared to wait a bit for a table because it’s always busy and seating is quite limited. One issue the restaurant could improve is table management — sometimes there are only two guests sitting at a large table, which makes it harder for others to find seats. Despite that, the overall experience is still pleasant. It’s the kind of place you visit more for the atmosphere and views rather than just the food. Perfect for a casual evening out or drinks with friends, especially if you come early to catch the sunset.

The food and drinks here are worth 5 stars. Everything has a burst of flavor. The atmosphere cannot be beaten, you are outside with pulsing music, on a water front, with an energetic crowd being overlooked by the opera house and Harbour Bridge as boats pass by and bats circle overhead. I try to get at least one night out here every trip o take to Sydney. It's calming. I recommend to all my friends to come here and they all day they love it.

Best bar hangout in the world! What a marvelous concept with a bar towards the ocean and one of the most iconic buildings in the back. If you come here after 7 pm there is live music/dj playing and together with excellent food and drinks it makes a unforgettable memory 4 life. We went here several times and will be back again before heading home to Europe. The order system was excellent with rapid service.

This place is the definition of dont judge a book by its cover. It looks stunning and has a beautiful view of the Opera house and Harbor. They have security there to check IDs and the day we came if was raining so we had raincoats on. He asked for ID and as I went to get mine I asked him to hold my sunglasses for a second so I had a free hand, he then looked at me like I had spit on him. The staff are overall rude and non efficient, very emotionless and careless. More often then not I could see security laughing with regulars and leaning constantly. The menu itself is all digital and looks really good but the food and drinks and pretty bad. They look amazing but are average at best. The drinks and food are also overpriced. However they do occasionally do live music which ive heard is decent. Seriously wouldn't reccomend.

Lovely views from this iconic spot, but on a windy day, it's in a wind tunnel. On my second visit, I didn't like the monotonous montotone music (just not my taste) from the 'live DJ'. Every track sounded exactly the same which became irritating after the first 15mins. More hype than atmosphere. I did enjoy the cheesy garlic bread though and the staff were friendly. Nicer for a quick coffee rather than drinks & food.

We come here mainly for the view - it really is the standout. We ordered via the QR code(impersonal but convenient), and while two of our five dishes arrived within about 10 minutes, the kids’ meals and chips took another 25 minutes to come out. It wasn’t particularly busy, so the wait felt a bit long. We tried the spring rolls, dumplings, chips, and two kids’ meals. The kids meals were $15 each which is good value. However the spring rolls and dumplings were a little bland and could have used more flavour. Overall, we’d come back for the view, but at $78, there are probably better food options elsewhere.

Sydney’s Luna Park – A Disappointing Experience From a distance, Luna Park in Sydney looks attractive and well-located, but once you get closer, the reality is very different. The park is squeezed between residential flats, and the overall atmosphere feels cramped and uninviting. When we visited, several of the main rides — at least four to five — were closed without any prior notice. Despite paying around $150 for tickets, we felt the money was completely wasted. On top of that, we had purchased additional tickets for some games, but when we saw them up close, it became clear that the games were overpriced and not worth the money. One of the biggest disappointments was the management’s attitude. When we asked about the closed rides, the staff gave vague, roundabout answers instead of providing clear information. At one point, a ride even stopped operating while people were still on it. The riders were taken off, and when we asked what happened, the only explanation we got was: “It’s closed for today.” When we asked when it would reopen, there was no proper answer. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing visit. Both our time and money were wasted. If you are planning to visit Sydney as a tourist, it’s better not to even bother going near Luna Park. It looks appealing from afar, but once inside, it fails to meet even basic expectations of an amusement park.

Very fun day out with lots to see and do! We ran out of time to see everything, you really need a whole day there to enjoy all the rides. I would have given 5 stars if there was more rides available for the 'red ticket' holders (generally 3-4 year olds) and if the park had some sort of lockers available to store your things in. Don't buy any food here if you can avoid it....it's pretty expensive and make sure you catch the ferry over. It's much quicker than trekking back up the hill to the train station.

O wow what a unbelievably amazing amusement Park, must go and I would suggest take a longer pass coz you would want to go again and again. Big Dipper is amazing thrilling ride, so is wild mouse. And as soon as you enter there is a rotor one. Do try that it's simply wow the feel in that ride, make sure not to eat too much and it's going to make you feel light headed. Enjoy and enjoyyyyyyyy

You know there is a 4 hours Halloween ticketed event with entertainment everywhere you go and amazing staff keeping you entertained and shows. - so instead of grabbing grabbing a popcorn and enjoy the vibe you decide to waste your night by standing in lines and wait for a ride and miss out on the whole idea of the hallowscream then come back here and post a 1 star review. go do rides on another day when you have time - i enjoyed my night here and i wanna do it again next year And by the way i did 4 rides Thank you luna park

It was great but it was warm best time for a look around is midweek not too many people and then catch the ferry to darling / hbr. Great and stay on and go back to the quay 5 stops for $5. Good value.

Great place, wortg a visit with kids for fun and amazing views. Food is not bad and the waiting time is average for a teame park. Can get around with a pram and a fair amount of rides for little ones as well.

Biggest waste of money ever. This place should be renamed “sorry, not in service”. Half the arcade games don’t work. Half the rides are closed. At least all of the “carnival” prize games were open..well of course they were so they could rip you off some more with dodgy scams and literally pay to win big prizes now..want a a big toy? You literally will need to fork out for 10’s of games to accumulate enough points. Best of all, after ordering and paying online, was told at the gate that our child with a cast can go on nothing..can I get a refund? Of course I can’t, because I should have read the website.. found it, 5 pages down hidden away. Thanks Luna park. Proper carneys ripping you off blind 👏 👏 never again

It is a must experience to walk through the bridge! Stunning views, and about 20/30min walking :) You can also pay to go up the little museum and have an even better view, but we didn’t do it and had the greatest time, still.

Not the first time that I was going to this museum but it did not disappoint once again. There were several free exhibitions, spreaded on different levels that were quite good! The highlight though was the Cerith Wyn Evan’s exhibition: it was utterly good! Full of mirrors, neon lights, plants and so on and on. Probably the artwork that I like the most was the “wall” with the Japanese writing. Everything was exceptional. Recommended

The building and space is beautiful. It’s a shame for a city as big as Sydney the art does not compare any where near to Melbourne or Brisbane contemporary art galleries. On top of that it’s very sad you have to pay 16 for a student and more for general public. It took me 10 minutes to go through the space. Top level was sold to me as a space for sculpture all I saw was a large spoon mangled stuck on a wall. If you would like to take photos of the harbour for $16 please go. Don’t even bother to have a look at the art. Art should be free for all to see and enjoy. The more sophisticated a society is the more they value art. Art is a base for all design, complex pattern recognition, maths and more.

Visited for the Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition. Great location near Circular Quays station with spectacular views of the Sydney harbour and Opera house from the open rooftop. There is a cafe and bar on the rooftop. Loved the exhibition displays. The museum has 4 floors with displays spread across. There is a museum shop on the ground floor.

Here is an absolute gem! I visited in May and was amazed that such stunning contemporary artworks could be enjoyed for free—it made the experience even more special and heartwarming. The thought-provoking exhibitions and immersive installations left a lasting impression. I already can’t wait to return whenever the museum hosts new exhibitions! The MCA’s commitment to accessibility and innovative curation makes it a must-visit for both locals and travelers. Highly recommended!

Not all art is for everyone. But MCA is pretty good even when it’s boring. And it is rarely boring. There is always something to be surprised by or get excited about. And it’s not too big, you don’t need to dedicate a whole day. A fair mix of works from own collection, visiting shows and various projects.

8 course tasting menu. It was a nice setting, but disappointed with the food. Had high expectations; however, felt the flavours for some of the courses were bland and everything else did not blow us away. Was also befuddled with the manager asking us to not have the 8 course menu, when that was the only reason we were coming. If they can’t fit it into the allocated two hour slot, then warn in advance or not offer it. Was rushed, and that combined with the lack-lustre food made for a less-than-satisfying evening. The view was lovely, wine was fine and the staff we’re trying their best to meet our needs. But ultimately we came for the food and to have a nice relaxed evening. Fail in that regard, especially with the $400 price tag. On a final note, we wanted to enjoy the restaurant before closure, and also expected a tour of the kitchen, as noted on their website... it did not happen. No tour. The staff seemed to not know anything about it. Oh well.

We were very warmly welcomed to the restaurant. The service was great minus the fact that for some reason the gentleman who sat us gave us two different wine lists and no menus?? It was a bit odd. So we had to flag down another waiter to give us some. Strange for a fine dining establishment. We opted into the 8 course tasting menu. The food was pretty and tasted good but I will admit that it lacked any ‘wow’. Like the ingredients were fresh and well put together but it wasn’t stand out amazing or anything too unique. We booked with the 50% food deal and we ordered oysters on top of our meal and that wasn’t discounted??? Even though the deal was 50% off all food. We didn’t bother asking or questioning and just paid and left. While the experience was pleasant, there are much better fine dining establishments out there for much cheaper. I’m glad we had the discount, full price wouldn’t have been worth it.

I had high expectations after reading all the recent positive reviews but unfortunately my experience was underwhelming. Although the service was good, the food is average, it doesn't stand out in any shape or form, and does not leave me wanting to return any time soon. The pricing is purely for its location, as the food lacks punch and sophistication. The oysters were nice but it hardly takes any skills since it's served natural. The lamb was too chewy - I wish they had given me a steak knife! There are better options for this price range if you're not after the view.

Service staff were very nice. Food was decent but lacked finesse in details. I must applaud that my steak being done perfectly, and the duck was soft and juicy. Views were great, would've been gorgeous on a bright sunny day.

Enjoyed lunch here on 18/11 at a work Christmas party. Breathtaking views of harbour. We enjoyed drinks and a three course meal. Very modern and unusual menu. The food tasted fantastic but the portion sizes were relatively small. Waiting staff were generally friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a long and relaxed meal in ideal surroundings. Can only imagine what the views would be at night. Unsure of cost as I didn’t pay. The wine selection seemed to be impressive. The only down side I could see was finding a spot on nearby streets frequented by parking wardens. They even had a lift that maybe useful for wheelchair access.

The view here is absolutely amazing. Make sure you ask for the outside seatings. The waiter who served us was very courteous and very attentive. We felt we have been well looked after. The food is amazing here, and normally we are not full from fine dining food but this place filled us up and we walked out with full bellies. Highly recommended.

Came for Saturday Lunch with a medium sized group. 4 course lunch with a mix of BYO and purchased wine. Food was top notch and served with great pacing, service was friendly and helpful and overall experience was top notch. Got a little noisy at times but that's the price for coming to a busy restaurant. Highly recommended

What a cute family run Italian, you don't get restaurants like this that often these days. We loved the service and atmosphere, it was perfectly cosy for a rainy night. The food was great, except the vegetables were too oily for me.

Ate here with my partner and my mum - beautiful restaurant and food. Service and staff took care of us with heart and enthusiasm. This is one of my favourite restaurants! Location was a bit hard to find at first but has a lovely peek to the bridge and is perfect for alfresco summer dinners. I left feeling really happy.

The very best Italian Restaurant I have been to in the past 10 years. The food is absolutely excellent. Exactly like my Italian grandfather would have made it. Disappointing. We looked forward to this restaurant based on the great reviews. Just moved into the area, we tried it out on a Friday night. Restaurant is extremely noisy if you have a table in the interior. The food was average (we tried steak, pasta, salads, desert). Rather small portions. This is not necessarily bad, but not great given the prices. Small talk with the waiter, who was trying to score points telling stories about Germany when I told him that I am originally from there, but was clearly not interested including my wife, who is Mexican, in the conversation. This felt really awkward. Overall we did not feel the hype was justified. The Italian on Bligh Street is clearly our preferred option in Kirribilli.

A wonderful restaurant with beautiful food and such attentive and warm staff. We had such a lovely time. The atmosphere inside is amazingly intimate and there was not one thing we ate that we would not recommend! Delicious cocktails made the meal all the more enjoyable.

Burgers are great! Very busy. Staff tries hard to accomodate, but system needs to be more organized. We were sat on 2 different seats to accomodate and were told to be out by a certain time. Which was fair. But other patrons with no bookings who came later, didnt have to move. No biggie, just wouldve been nice not to have moved. Burgers were solid! Great to experience them. Drinks were great too! Staff were also very nice throughout.

This is definitely a popular bar restaurant in the area, and I can attest to the validity of all the good reviews. Ordered the Burger Special of the week, and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion and great taste! The fried chicken patty was thick, crispy on the outside, and perfectly juicy inside. Also added $3 for the slaw, and that portion was equally surprising, in a good way! The staff are chill and attentive, which adds to the great vibe. Given the quality, I think the price is very reasonable, especially considering it’s located right in the CBD.

On my second night in Sydney, I researched burger establishments and this one was open later than most and had excellent reviews. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The burger was delicious and you can customise every element, adding your preferred toppings above the standard ingredients. You can also order your chips separately and the portion was really generous. Sadly the chips took a hit before I remembered to take a photo! They come with a really nice marinate!

Generally a pretty pleasant experience food came out fast, drinks were cold, bartenders were knowledgeable. But some of the food could have the portion size a little bit larger such as the chicken that doesn't quite fit the bun, a personal pet peeve. But big kudos on super creative menu creations such as the Gucci jang sandwich and the tandoori loaded fries. Definitely enjoyable, relatively Fair prices, it hits the mark for largely what you expect

This place is much bigger than I thought. It’s got a pretty cool vibe. We had no reservation but they got us a table in the back right away. We ordered some dishes from the weekly special menu. The Prince of Darkness was huge. There were loaded with bacon, beef patty and a chicken wing on top. It was delicious. I also had Loaded Fries. They were scrumptious, especially with laksa sauce. You should def try it! The Mac n cheese hit the spot on a rainy day as well. The Oreo milkshake was ok as it’s got a lot of whipped cream, not a lot of milkshake. Overall, our experience was great.

What i ordered: - Blame canada, it was just okay, the fries side was good but need more seasonings - the fried chicken special really not worth it at all. The chicken just so so so dry, and the whole burger need more sauce. I do enjoy the mozzarella stick in the middle tho, that was surprisingly gooooddd

It is nice walking area along the harbour with a lot of place for families and kids. It also features a lot of weekend or night time activities like firework. Highly recommend to visit if you love night walk and activities.

Paddy’s Markets in Haymarket is out of this world — it feels like a whole other world underground. The moment you walk in, the energy hits you. Row after row of vendors, fresh produce, souvenirs, clothes, snacks, cultural items — literally everything you can imagine in one place. It’s lively, affordable, and full of personality. You can spend hours wandering, trying new foods, and finding unique little gems you won’t see anywhere else. If you want a real local experience in Sydney, this spot is a must.

The ground floor has a food court with restaurants featuring different international styles. Inside the market, you can find fresh produce, souvenir stalls, and various small shops. Upstairs, there’s also a supermarket and a food court. Most of the souvenirs are made in China and sold at very cheap prices. However, food items here tend to be more expensive compared to other supermarkets.

Visited the paddy's market during lunch time and had the acai bowl at the Juice me shop. Had the large option and it was super filling! Also had the falafel bowl and it was delicious. The bowl size was super big. It is easily enough for 1 person to fill his stomach.

Great place to buy souvenirs at reasonable cheap price. I'd recommend going "460 Sydney Souvenir" to buy some, as they are quite cheaper than the others. But this place seems to be bit overcrowded, so be aware of it.

Love the new food court! The Little Midden was delicious. Super cute set up with many different options for food, coffee, flowers, sweet treats.

To be true, not what I remember of how Paddy's Markets ground floor look like. Gone were the old ragged style stalls. The stores are nice and tidy now. With the additional of the food area made it welcoming.

Lovely garden, very tranquil and relaxing with several small waterfalls. Around the paths there are many different types of flowers and trees, some ducks, turtles, dragonfly, koi fish and lots of lizards. That would be 5/5. However at exactly 4:29 a staff walked up and said that they were closing in 3 minutes. I noted the time and rushed through the final area and took a few more photos, he came up and said "Well get a move on" so I checked the time, it hasn't even been 1 minute. So I'm reducing a star for not telling us they close early, no reason given, and rushing us out in less time than he said. This happened on Saturday 27 Sept 2025.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. An abundance of plants with Information signs about them. Pavilions to sit in and relax, ponder. A pavilion for dining is there and I highly recommend it. The food is extremely tasty.

A very tranquil, beautiful Chinese landscape garden. Definitely one of the best designed and best maintained I've ever seen outside of China. Maybe the largest I've been ever seen as well, although I'm sure it's not the largest outside of China. Lots of lizards enjoying it here as well. Only downside: on a hot day, it's a bitter hotter in the garden than outside of it, but there are plenty of shaded spots and there's some wind despite the walls and buildings surrounding it. It took me around 1 hour to very leisurely walk through the whole garden, take in the views and take scenic pictures. And another hour to really enjoy it, sit down here and there, etc. So if you're just here for sightseeing, 1 hour will be plenty of time, everyone else should probably plan 2-3 hours or more if you plan to enjoy a meal or some afternoon tea in the tea room.

Absolutely gorgeous gardens. So much to see, I spent hours in there walking around and finding all kinds of hidden little spots to view. A great place to have a picnic as there are little areas with seating to sit back and enjoy and listen to the sounds. I can't believe that it is surrounded by the city. It's so peaceful and beautiful.

What a gem. Such a beautiful, peaceful place to walk around. If I lived in Sydney I would buy the annual pass. Koi feeding at 11:30 was also really interesting to watch.

It is a nice garden set up with typical traditional Chinese architecture, bonsai plants and water features. However the $12 entry is steep given the size and state of maintenance (for example the water is all very green and has a film on top). The opening hours are also a negative, coming into summer in Sydney it would be quite a nice place to relax into golden hour but they have a strict 5pm closing time. The water dragons are everywhere and quite comfortable with people.

It’s a beautiful hidden oasis from the city. I’ve been coming here since the I was a kid in the 90s living interstate. Being dragged along by my parents and relatives. Now I’m back dragging my own kid through the garden. It’s as beautiful and as calming as I remembered it. Well worth the visit.

Madame Tussauds Sydney is a fun and exciting place to visit for people of all ages. The museum features incredibly realistic wax figures of famous celebrities, sports stars, movie characters, and historical icons. It’s amazing how detailed and lifelike the statues look — you almost feel like you’re standing next to the real person! The experience is interactive, too; you can take photos, pose with your favourite stars, and even step into themed sets. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the museum is clean and well-organized. One of the highlights is seeing Australian legends and international stars all in one place. It’s located in Darling Harbour, close to SEA LIFE Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney, so it’s easy to make a full day of sightseeing. Overall, Madame Tussauds Sydney is a great experience that mixes art, entertainment, and fun — perfect for families, friends, and tourists.”

Visited on a weekday, purchased tickets at the same time. No waiting time. I enjoyed getting pics with the statues. We were short of time so we did a quick tour of the place. It will be good to have atleast two hours so that you can get pics clicked and enjoy the whole experience. Not sure about parking as we walked to the place.

I went with my wife mum and Nan, and we all had a fantastic time at Madame Tussaunds -Sydney. Across all the ages, there was something for us all! Big shout out to Ben! Who made our experience just that little bit better!

We had a blast! Was so much fun to dress up and "meet" all the celebrities. Some of them were more alike than others of course, but all in all a good experience

Madam Tussauds, a place you just have to visit. Put your mind into fun mode and have fun being silly,serious, pretending, sincere and take lots of photos. If can afford a little more buy the photo deal at the end. Ben took ours and he was fantastic and charming. Thanks for a fun time, my daughter and I needed it.

Was way more fun than I was expecting. No one told me there be props, and no one else seemed to be using them until I did and it just made photos so much more fun. I literally spent most the time dressing up and doing all sorts of poses. Would really recommend checking out.

Today my bestie and I went to see Madame Tussauds in Sydney and I had accidentally dropped my debit card and a staff member named Ben saw it and returned it to me. He asked if we were visiting Sydney and he took some amazing photos of us with the wax pieces that we would never have been able to take together with our beloved bear. Amazing park and beautiful area to walk or have a picnic. The fountains are beautiful especially the bubbler monument where you can drink the water from however today it was not working. The best was the Archibald memorial fountain. Not to mention, there was great music too.

Hyde Park is one of those places in Sydney that I keep coming back to. It’s right in the middle of the city, but somehow it still feels peaceful and spacious. The pathways lined with huge fig trees are beautiful to walk through, especially on a sunny day when the light filters through the branches. Everything is well kept — the lawns, the gardens, even the fountains — and it always feels clean and inviting. I love stopping by the Archibald Fountain or just sitting on a bench people-watching for a bit. It’s the perfect spot to take a break, have lunch, or just unwind for a moment away from the busy streets. A really lovely park that adds so much charm to the city.

Love this park, it’s so tranquil and relaxing even though it’s right in the CBD of Sydney. I always try to include it on any route when I’m walking across Sydney. There are always people around and the Fountains, the Archibald Memorial Fountain catches the light beautifully.

It's a good walking area, pet friendly, I would recommend you to go around in the evening. Nearby places - Australian museum, Saint cathedral Church. There is a connecting train station from here - Museum - train station name. The park is divided into 2 parts, half part has a pool of reflection and Anzac memorial. And on the other side you'll find the Archibald memorial fountain.

A very well maintained park with numerous landmarks to visit and explore within! Lot's of shade as well, so you'll always be able to find a spot to sit down and relax!

Very underwhelming and frustrating experience. From the second we walked in with an unopened drink in hand from another location, the staff were absolutely fixated on it and kept telling us about their “no outside drinks” policy. Even when we told them that we weren’t going to drink it, they still kept harping on about it. At one point, our waiter even touched our drink to hide it behind a menu!! Seriously!? How rude and unprofessional, not mention unhygienic!! What do they think is going to happen if other people see it on the table? The food is mediocre and overpriced. Overall a major disappointment. Go somewhere else. There are many other better places within a few minutes walk.

This place exceeded my expectations. I ordered the beef rendang stuffed roti $19, Hainan chicken laksa $27. Both dishes were delicious. Great flavors, good portions, reasonable prices, great service. Queued for about 5 minutes on a Sunday night. Medium sized restaurant, they have a ground and upper level. My only complaint is that it's pretty warm inside, I don't think there's air conditioning

Absolutely loved my dining experience at Ho Jiak Haymarket! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The black truffle crab was definitely the highlight — rich, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying. The other dishes, from the truffle eggplant to the stir-fried greens, were all delicious and thoughtfully seasoned.

Usually the long queue scares me off, but on a Sunday night we walked straight in — no wait! Came with my bro and we ordered 4–5 dishes, finished every single one. Flavors were bold and varied, and I love that you can adjust the spice level — super friendly touch. First time trying Malaysian food with my bro and we were pleasantly surprised. My fave was the noodles, reminded me so much of home.

Popular spot for Biang Biang noodles, the staff are friendly and noodles delish! Thick chewy noodles I recommend the noodles topped with chilli, addicitively yum! Another favourite to try is the pastry filled buns! Filled with variety of meat, it is a dry filling with no sauce in a crispy pastry bun that is tasty to eat!

Food was underwhelming. We had cold skin noodles and biang biang noodles with spicy lamb. Not only did they lack flavor, they were also too oily to my liking. All I could taste was the spice. Was disappointed with the minced lamb as the sauce. I was expecting pieces of meats. Though the noodles were chewy and springy enough to my liking.

This is an amazing spot for the bounciest and thickest handpulled noodles! Their noodles are super flavourful and the rougamos are perfectly flakey. Definitely for spice lovers!

We found this place after searching 'Best places to eat in Sydney' on Tiktok and thank you because the Biang Biang noodles are so good!!!! The solo beef soup is delicious, the soup was flavourful, and the beef was tender 😍 We also ordered extra meat to try the stewed pork, which was also yum!!! The lamb dumplings were good. However, I personally prefer a slightly thinner wrapper, and the soup they came in was a little to citrus tasting. So happy we came across this recommendation!!

Fan of Chinese food esp chilli oil but for the first time of my life, I don't like a chilli oil noodle soup. It was so lack of flavor and so spicy that I even had no idea which spice should be added to balance the taste. At least, me and my gf could finish the dry stewed pork noodle.

Noticed this restaurant quite a few times while at Westfield, and finally decided to give it a try. I really really loved the prawn dumplings, it was so good. Will definitely visit again. We also tried crispy chicken fried rice (generous portion) and pork buns(freshly made). I found the food quite authentic personally.

Got crab meat xiao long bao, pot stickers and jellyfish with turnips. I love xiao long bao the most. Pot stickers doesn’t look like I want it to look like with the dumplings connecting to each other and the wrapper was thick. Jellyfish and turnip was better dipped in the sauce.

It's good but you're mainly paying for the Westfield Rent. The Shanghai noodles are nice but it came with maybe 20 grams of meat and two little bits of vegetable. The crab meat xiao long bao had crab meat in it but you wouldn't taste it. If you look carefully you can see a few bits of Frozen crab meat in there. The drunken chicken was a little overcooked and tough. The food was better at the World Square store

Cosy atmosphere. The xiao long bao were juicy and flavorful, and the spring rolls were deep fried perfectly. The service could be improved though. Overall a nice place to dine in.

The xiaolongbaos were decent, veggie dumplings were okay, but the noodles were horrible. There was absolutely no flavor and it was super bland as if we were just eating plain noodles. We felt sick after our meal. The lanterns up top are also super dusty and staff were rude - throwing a straw onto our table without placing a tissue underneath for the drink.

Tried this place for the 1st time on 3rd Nov. For 2 persons, we ordered the xiao long bao, calamari with salted egg and the yangzhou fried rice. A bit too much but 2 dishes would probably not be enough. Really enjoyed the fried rice and dumplings. The calamari pieces were quite chunky and oily. Very nice at the beginning but the oiliness caused the indifference curve to go down rather quickly. But overall did enjoy this 1st experience.

The food was nice, suitable for a working day lunch, very efficient. We ordered some classic Shanghai dishes, they presented well. Just the Pan Fried Dumplings confused me a bit, looked like they cooked them in a rush, and didn’t look like the way I know it should be. But all the dishes we picked tasted good. A little suggestion for the service, please be patient and gentle, speak slower won’t hurt. Other things are all bearable, so if you want to try it out, choose the food you are familiar with or ask the staffs to give you some advice.

Visited Ho Jiak over the long weekend during my trip to Sydney, and can I just say — it’s probably the most beautifully curated Malaysian menu I’ve seen! I ordered the laksa from the lunch menu while my friend had the nasi kerabu and a mocktail — everything was absolutely delicious. I personally would’ve preferred the noodles a little firmer, but the flavours were spot on. The service was top-notch too — the waitress was patient and took the time to explain the dishes when I asked for extras. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and overall the quality really matches the price. Would definitely love to come back to try their dinner menu next time!

Reserved via Sevenrooms, our family of 13 had a wonderful family dinner at Ho Jiak on a Sunday evening. Located across from QVB, we used the parking spot at 45 Market which is just a short walk. The restaurant itself has a cool vibe with brick walls and different areas of seating. We ordered a few cocktails, my Margarita was quite average probably should have gone with the Negroni. The staff is very attentive, but could have done a better job providing guidance with our dish selections considering our group size. The menu is extensive with a wide range of dish, the trick is picking their local cuisine. 1. Laksa Bomb - the shrimp dumpling is good, the broth lacks depth 2. Salted duck egg lobster - this is our favorite dish, well executed with noodles 3. Malaysian Chili Crab - the crab is not as 'meaty', the sauce leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps use female crab and the crab butter and coral to prepare the stock? 4. Smokey Beef Rib - nice presentation, the meat is tender yet lacks the smokiness once the smoke clears (literally). Perhaps smoke it low and slow instead of pressure cooked? 5. Roast Pork Belly - lacks the crispy skin, it's a bit dry. Perhaps use garlic aioli and smoked / black salt flakes instead of tartar sauce? The sambal lacks acidity 6. Chinese Broccoli - nice presentation. The dried chopped leaves combined with the steamed stems give good texture. The oyster sauce is a bit bland. 7. Salt & Pepper Tofu - should skip this dish, nothing special 8. Belachan Kangkung - on point 9. Eggciting - our second favorite dish 10. Char Koay Teow - it's a miss, no wok-fired taste expected from this dish 11. Sarawak Black Pepper Lobster - it's quite good

We booked online for dinner here and were not disappointed. Service by Jessalyn (sorry if I spelt this wrong!) was excellent the entire night, really helpful with recommendations and when she found out we were celebrating an anniversary gave us complimentary sparkling wine. We ordered the chilli crab man tou, laksa dumplings, duck with foie gras (paired really well together) as well as char kuay teow. The food overall definitely tastes authentic and the flavour of the laksa really reminded me of home. Duck was incredibly tender and the meat basically melted in my mouth. The garlic chilli that came with it is amazing! Honestly everything we had that night was really good down to the drinks. Ho Jiak Haymarket was always one of my favourite restaurants and this one didn’t disappoint either.

It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was really impressed! The place is elegant, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere feels so warm and welcoming. It was my birthday today, and they even surprised me with a free dessert, such a lovely gesture! I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended: MaoTai Roast Duck and Pasta

This Malaysian cuisine is highly over my expectations! The cocktail is really nice, I like the Lychee one. Salt egg yolk crab is absolutely delicious with spicy noodle, it becomes my favourite! I will recommend my colleague this place~

Great upmarket Malaysian food with friendly service. The Assam barramundi was excellent with perfectly cooked fish and a very well balanced sauce. Our favourite dish The fried radish cubes were also very good. The laksa bomb, an interesting modern interpretation, was also delicious I also loved the pandan creme brûlée

Had an amazing dinner at Ho Jiak and it exceeded all expectations! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The roast duck was juicy with perfectly crispy skin, the salted egg crab with noodles was rich and addictive, and the fried rice was cooked to perfection—fragrant, fluffy, and packed with prawns and roe. The fresh salmon sashimi with dressing was light and refreshing, and the crispy greens added a lovely balance to the meal. The cocktail was also delicious and complemented the food so well. Portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted authentic and thoughtfully prepared. On top of that, the staff were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend Ho Jiak to anyone looking for amazing Malaysian fusion food in Sydney. Definitely coming back!

I visited Taronga Zoo today with my big family, and it was my second time there. This is definitely one of the must-do experiences in Sydney. The vibes were amazing! We went around midday, which isn’t really the ideal time to visit. If you want to see the animals more active and relaxed, it’s better to go either in the morning or later in the afternoon. That way, you’ll have a better chance of spotting most of them — including the lions. We did manage to see the lion, but only for a short while. The seal show was absolutely amazing — you can’t afford to miss it! The energy, tricks, and connection between the trainers and seals were so fun to watch. My kids absolutely loved it — from the animals to the shows, they were excited the whole time. It’s such a great place for families to spend the day together. It was so much fun overall — from boarding the ferry to the very last moment. I missed taking the cable car on the way back, which I really recommend because it offers stunning views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. Such a great experience — can’t wait to go again!

Beautiful zoo, very well maintained and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of walking areas and shaded promenades. The full visit, including the shows, takes around 4 to 5 hours. My advice: arrive early in the morning when the animals (especially the koalas) are most active. The views are absolutely stunning — overlooking the entire Sydney skyline, the Opera House, and Harbour Bridge. Staff are super friendly and helpful. A must-do for anyone visiting Sydney or looking for a great day escape!

Fantastic zoo, really well built and easy to navigate. The enclosures are all really well done and the animals look very happy and healthy. The food market was great and plenty of water stations around. I was surprised that the zoo didn't have any elephants but the seals did make up for it. We were lucky to catch the seal show which was brilliant. All in all a great day out.

Beautiful. Fun to get to via the ferries and direct bus service are convenient. Staff at the hut where Zoo members/friends go for free entry could be nicer, staff inside are wonderful, had a young lad help us to seats at a packed bird show. Cute restuarant (wish we had lunch there), the food court, where we had lunch unfortunetly, had overflowing bins and zero trays to carry your food. The Zoo itself is very hilly and takes a good full day to see and experience everything.

Excellent zoo with great selection of animals and easily accessible. Would go again for everything from very healthy lions, the koalas, excellent aviaries, and to watch the seals (sea lions actually). The free flight bird display brought a tear to my eye; it was so very well done and against the backdrop of the city with some great music choices. Chimpanzees looked listless; I'm not an expert but they seemed unhappy and in need of more to do or a better space.

We’ve come over from the UK to visit family & did the adults only Roar & Snore. What an amazing experience?! The lovely weather helped too. Bridie, Ryder, Rachel & Jacinta (sorry for any spelling mistakes) were our hosts & were all amazing to spend the evening & early morning with. Loved the walks through the zoo seeing all the animals, plus the little extras that I won’t mention (don’t want to spoil it). Loved the little safari tents for our night. The chimpanzees & lions enjoyed waking us up early 😊 Highly recommend anyone to do this, really good value too.

Came here a while back and can I just say, this was one of the most fun times I've had 'til this day. Having my mates obviously helped but just having a walk through the different enclosures with the variety of animals I didn't even know existed, truly cemented that visit into my memories. And the quality of life, accessible toilets, great food and drinks that weren't too far, and easy to read signs and maps to know where you even are.

The entrance can be a little hard to find but definitely worth looking for. It is close to Milsons Point or North Sydney train station. The garden itself has some beautiful spots, some hidden to have something to eat and drink or to just take in the beauty of the garden. The plant life and trees are both interesting and beautiful. There are some interesting statues, and Wendy’s house is lovely. It is situated right by the train line with glimpses of the harbour. it is not advisable for people with walking disabilities as there are a number of stairs and some of them are quite rugged. this really is a beautiful garden and definitely worth visiting. Oh, and look out for the bush turkeys as they will try and steal your food.

This is a quiet and calm environment who seeks to escape from busy city vibes. The garden is full of green and it is a beautiful place to be in the evenings. Can be accessed easily by public transport. And you can see a nice angle of the harbour bridge.

Nice little garden that you can visit, walk around enjoying nature and also has a good view toward the iconic building of Sydney. There are few areas that have chairs, tables, rocks to sit on and enjoy the view which is pretty nice to have. The garden is well maintained.

Wendy’s Secret Garden is a very special and meaningful place. You can really feel the love and devotion behind it. The garden is full of life, with plants growing freely and creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. It’s a beautiful spot to slow down and reflect. Just be prepared — the paths can be a little overgrown in some areas, but that’s also part of its natural charm. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate quiet places with a story behind them.

A beautiful place of tranquility and quiet enjoyment. Visiting in the rain was particularly delightful. You will need to be able to climb stairs to visit. Highly recommended.

Spectacular views on the short walk from the Milson Point ferry wharf. Just head off around the harbour side of Luna Park. The gardens have plenty of places to sit and relax and many short walking trails.

I have to give the survive star because of all the effort the volunteers have made to bring you something special out of an ordinary piece of land it's really beautiful what they've done and they've worked so hard it is a very good example of what can be done with volunteers the gift of their time

The Rocks is one of Sydney’s most historic and vibrant areas. 🏙️✨ With cobblestone streets, heritage buildings, markets, pubs, and great views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, it’s the perfect place to explore on foot. The weekend markets are a highlight with unique local crafts and food stalls. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and bars that make the atmosphere lively day and night. A must-visit for history, culture, and great vibes in Sydney.

The Rocks Markets went all out for Halloween. There was definitely a few weird and wonderful stalls very specific for this occasion plus of course, the usual selection of food, trinkets and souvenirs. There’s something for everyone, great vibe when the weather is kind and a fabulous mix of Sydneysiders plus tourists. Make sure you check out the talented Ping Lian Yeak’s artwork.

Very busy during the public events. Vivid, Easter, Anzac Day, Christmas in July and even Halloween. The streets are jam-packed with people, good food and decorations during these periods. During normal weekends it is still a busy area however it’s much easier to get around to visiting each of the stalls so that you may have a good look at the variety of different wares and good food items that are on sale.

If you are in Sydney for the weekend, don't miss the iconic Rocks Market. It is a very famous market and expect it to be crowded. The first section are products, which are locally from Sydney. True unique products which is great to see. The last part at the bridge is the food. Many different options available and you can dine with a view over the Sydney Harbour and Opera House. I can highly recommend the paella, it was absolutely delicious!

A wonderful weekend market with many stalls of food, homemade products and much more! The market stretches along a wide road so you’ll probably spend a good amount of time here. There’s food, homemade products, gift cards, glass figures, essential oils and more! I bought a handful of cards and much more!

This is a free open-air Sunday market. The location is excellent. I’d give it a skip if it is raining. Thankfully, we had a sunny winter’s day. It has a great vibe with assorted stalls - trinkets, handmade products, artisanal goods, a wide range of food. It’s a fun experience. But it’s also a tourist trap with prices rounded up. Don’t visit if you’re super hungry. You need to be prepared to pay over the odds for simple food in smaller than normal portions. Try to go in the morning as the crowds pick-up dramatically from noon.

The Rocks Market is one of those weekend rituals that feels equal parts shopping trip and Sydney postcard. You wander in from Circular Quay and the noise of the city softens into buskers, seagulls and the clink of coffee cups. Stalls stretch along cobblestone lanes lined with sandstone terraces, and the harbour keeps flashing through gaps between buildings. It is easy to lose an hour drifting between local makers who are actually behind their tables. I chatted to a jeweller hand forging silver rings, sampled native honey from a Blue Mountains beekeeper and watched a printmaker pull fresh lino cuts while kids looked on. There is a good balance of things you take home and things you simply enjoy on the spot, from small batch skincare to ceramics, leather goods and framed photographs that catch the bridge in different moods. Come hungry. The food lineup is a tour in miniature, with gozleme rolled to order, bao that deliver a soft cloud of steam when you lift the lid, and a paella pan the size of a wading pool that perfumes the whole corner. Coffee is easy to find, fresh juices and iced teas keep the heat at bay, and there are plenty of sweet options when a cinnamon scroll or a scoop of gelato will do the job. I like to grab something warm and carry it to a shady spot near the Argyle Cut, then loop back for a second pass once I have decided what to buy. Practical tips help. It gets busy by late morning, so early arrivals enjoy clearer paths and friendlier light for photos. Most stalls take cards but a little cash speeds up small purchases. Cobblestones are charming and a touch uneven, so flat shoes make life easier. Shade can be patchy along the main run, which makes a hat and water bottle smart. Trains and ferries to Circular Quay keep the trip easy, and you can pair the market with a short walk to the Opera House for the full Sydney day out.

The well n truly established Kirribilli Club with an excellent view of harbour bridge and Wendy’s Secret Garden has its very own lovely restaurant that’s definitely worth the mention. Yes ! Hard to find a club that has good food. With a large menu of offerings it is lovely to have food served piping hot n executed well n tasty too! There’s a bar for drinks n next to it a cafe with great comfy seating for coffee and cakes. If you’re a member, parking is a flat fee of $12 , which is a bargain!! Membership is $12/ annum. Worth paying a visit n check out the spectacular views too!

I had the pleasure of attending a work function at Kirribilli Club, where we enjoyed a delightful 2-course meal. The wait staff provided exceptional service, ensuring our glasses were constantly topped up. While the well-done steak I ordered for my main course didn't quite meet my expectations, the dessert was an absolute delight - truly fantastic. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The attentive staff and the delicious dessert were definite highlights that made the evening enjoyable.

I love this club, especially the restaurant. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful, whether finding you a table, or taking your order, or serving your meal, or serving you a drink. All my meals are served hot and are tasty and enjoyable. There are some nice red wines at club prices, especially during happy hour. On my latest early dinner for one, on a Friday night, I ordered the Chicken Supreme ($35.00), consisting of skin on, Chicken stuffed with leek and cheese, laying on top of roasted vegetables and covered in aurora (tomato) sauce. It all tasted sensational. I washed it down with a lovely $8.00 Shiraz. I then ordered the Sticky Date Pudding and icecream ($15.00). Everything was delicious. I sat at a table one back from the window, out of the wind, and watched the setting sun. I was so happy with the meal, I walked home instead of catching the train. A dinner here is highly recommended.

We love this club. It has a great atmosphere, great views plus great food & wine. If it’s a nice day or night try and sit on the balcony so you can enjoy the harbour view. You can become a member of the club & get discounts on parking & food. We come here regularly & highly recommend it.

First time here. Nice location. Beautiful view of the harbour. Decent pub style food. They have a massive screen to watch the footy on plus a billiard table and darts board where you can have a few games and watch at the same time. Relaxing atmosphere.

We’ve dined at the Watergrill Restaurant a few times before and have always enjoyed the experience, but with the new Covid 19 arrangements, I like it even more. It’s less crowded than it was pre Covid. Tables are now well spaced out now making it more spacious, quieter and easier to converse. The process of booking and reserving a table has become more formalised, again I think this is an improvement, in order to discourage no-shows. A $10 deposit per person is required on making a booking, although this is just a “hold” on your credit card and doesn’t show up as a transaction. It’s released, once the booking is completed, but can be forfeited if less than 24 hr notice of cancellation is given. All reservations are for 90 minutes only, but this is quite adequate given the fast and efficient service. It’s also worth noting that the restaurant is operating a limited opening schedule, so for example, in July & Aug, it’s closed on Monday and Tuesday. I guess this may change as the Covid situation evolves, so it’s worth checking the website for current operating hours. Once you arrive at the dining room, the friendly concierge will tick your name off the list and direct you to your table. Again this is a new post Covid and welcome initiative, lending a more formal tone to the experience. There were five of us dining in mid-July. As members, we took advantage of the two-for-one meal deal that's been a feature in winter here over the past few years. We ordered our usual favourites: the scotch fillet steaks, “surf and turf” and a burger. As always, food was of a high standard. Steaks were tender and juicy and served with thin potato slices and wholesome broccoli. The charcoal burger bun was something new. Everything was fresh and tasty, prepared with care, love and attention to detail. Clearly only the best quality ingredients are used. Exactly what we have come to expect from the K.C. We all enjoyed our meals. To end, what else but our all time fav, the classic sticky date pud, to share. It was moist and fruity and served with a dollop of ice cream. We finished that off in no time. But what I like the best about this place are the staff. From the ladies downstairs at the reception who sign you in when you arrive, to the polite concierge now stationed at the front of the restaurant to confirm bookings, to the friendly guys who take orders, serve at the bar and bring out the food, they are all terrific. Friendly, helpful and efficient; they make you feel welcome, appreciated and valued as a customer of the club. This is one of the reasons that we keep coming back. It’s also reassuring to see them neatly turned out in smart, clean and tidy uniforms. With a smaller crowd, the ambience was relaxed, casual and laid back. And there are the expansive views over the harbour too, for which this club is famous. It's the perfect spot to enjoy a night out with friends and family. Toilets are clean and well provisioned and there's generally easy parking to be found either in Lavender St (where restrictions end at 6pm) or one of the nearby side streets, like Walker or Arthur. Overall, we had a great evening here and will be back next month to enjoy another two-for one meal deal. In a nice touch, I received an email the day after dining, thanking us for our patronage and expressing appreciation for our continued support of the club.

Went on a busy Sunday afternoon after visiting the "Secret Garden" across the road. Great location, unfortunately we couldn't get a table outside with a view of the bridge but can't fault the food or service. Food came out quick considering how busy it was and the meals were delicious and big portion sizes.

It was a journey of umami, complex flavors mostly not overly salted, some japanese touches with a good balance of flavors and textures. There was attention to color with an interesting minimalist theme in plating the dishes. Pictured duck dish and the little appetizer bites were stand outs. Service was attentive and friendly. Venue was nice, but entry was hard to find (take the lift beside James Squire) and unfortunately there was a giant cruise ship obscuring what would’ve been an outstanding view.

Many people mentioned that the experience isn’t as impressive as it used to be and said it’s not really worth recommending. But I still wanted to try it for myself, so I decided to visit. Unfortunately, there was a cruise ship docked at the time, so we couldn’t enjoy the Opera House view. However, the staff kindly seated us on the Harbour Bridge side, which still offered a beautiful view during our meal. As for the food, it turned out to be a much more satisfying dinner than I expected. Every dish was enjoyable, although the pork jowl was a bit tough and didn’t quite meet the mark. That aside, the rest of the courses were well-balanced, and I really appreciated how beautifully everything was plated. I’d definitely like to come back next season to see how the menu evolves.

Dining at Quay was a sublime experience. Nestled in Sydney’s harbor with panoramic views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the setting alone is unforgettable. The service was impeccable—attentive, warm, and effortlessly refined. Each dish on the tasting menu was a masterpiece of creativity and precision, showcasing ingredients in ways both surprising and deeply satisfying. Quay doesn’t just serve food—it delivers an artful journey that lingers long after the final bite.

An Interesting dining experience at Quay Sydney. Each course was a masterclass in creativity, balance, and finesse. The evening began with delicately plated raw scallops topped with smoked eel cream and Murray cod roe — a perfect harmony of freshness and umami. The wild greenlip abalone and sea cucumber with aged seaweed broth showcased the kitchen’s precision and respect for the ocean. The mud crab dumpling in brown butter emulsion was rich yet refined, while the smoked confit pig jowl with young macadamia and sherry vinegar prunes delivered bold, deep flavors with silky textures. The highlight for me was the David Blackmore Wagyu — intensely savory, paired with shiitake and dried oyster, elevated by a whisper of licorice kombu. Desserts were equally show-stopping. “White Coral” and the playful “Post Brood Honey Bee” were not only beautifully presented but also ended the meal with a delightful sense of whimsy.

The oldest and greatest Malaysia restaurant specialised in Laksa in Sydney CBD and thanks God they survived during the pandemic and keep on delivering the best laksa to everyone. Heard that they will be moving to new location too. Their laksa is so far the best in Sydney. Just got back from Adelaide few weeks ago and the first thing I did was to come here for their laksa. I can’t even find a decent laksa in Adelaide to the honest. And let the rest of you know, it is counter order and don’t expect to have any super service or whatsoever high demand. It’s how it works even in Malaysia - it’s the quality of food which matters. If you want to have good service, go to a proper fine dining restaurant where you get table service and pay for higher price.

One of best Laksa restaurants. Soup of Laksa is a full of creamy, heavy body, and coconut based curry flavor. Unfortunately, Laksa soup is not suitable for vegetarians as it is mixed with chicken-stock. This restaurant is always crowded with a number of patrons. So it is good to remember that you may need to be waiting until tables will be available for your turn. Definitely recommended!! 👍😋👍

Have Returned. Highly Recommend. Consistency is the hallmark of quality - returning to Sydney after 4 years and this place is still serving the best Laksa in town. Chicken Laksa - their Chicken is so tender and juicy, with the broth super filling and warming. It is not overly salty or spicy, I wouldn't describe it as a heavy laksa either. Not very coconutty. Don't wear white. Bring Cash.

The moment we entered this place we felt like we walked in a food court or hawker center in Southeast Asia. It's hot, full of people and lively. The laksa is tasty and heavy due to the coconut milk. I was told by a highschool friend to visit this place as it is a very popular place. Friend told me that people line up to eat here during the weekday. I have never had laksa before so I didn’t know what to expect. Looked at reviews and said it was the best laksa place in Syd? Had the chicken laksa however the chicken smell was too strong. Probs should have had boneless or chicken breast because I usually put garlic to rid the off taste of chicken. But its heavily in there. If the smell wasn’t there, I’m sure it would have been a good laksa. Too bad I didn’t get to try again. Just my review

Best Laksa in the CBD. Decently priced, we got the Chicken Laksa for $11.70. The boneless chicken are extremely soft and tender. Be prepared to wait a bit if you're coming here for lunch as it does get very busy. The line moves fairly fast though which is good. Also make sure to bring cash.

Just YUM 🤤 an extremely satisfying meal. We had seen the restaurant from outside on a walk & loved the look. We got back to our room and looked up their website. Unfortunately their website doesn’t do their menu Justice and that is a great shame. We are staying nearby and had looked at the menus online and had honestly decided to give it a think….? While we discovered what else is nearby. The location has some great dining choices within a 10 min walk up each direction of Military rd,. From the Oaks to a kebab, or a great Thai worth waiting for…. The list is long and competition high. A couple of days had past and, I noticed an enticing sight, as there was an overflow of diners to the outdoor dining areas on a chilly night & decided, if they are willing to sit there & dine, the food must be worth it. THEY ARE RIGHT 👍🏼🤤😋🤩 Determined, the next night (Sunday) my partner and I made our way to Radio Cairo and were placed on an available inside table. They were again busy and friendly. From the smells walking in, our appetites grew as large as our eyes at the comforting surrounds. It felt a bit like home with the darker colours, relaxed cozy atmosphere and a low hum of diners oh with oldie movies playing silently in the background left us plenty to look at while there. after a Quick look at the share menu, we had some Flat Brad & stuffed olives ordered and on their way. We decided on 4 share meals & a main along with a slash of a delicious SA Red - Delicious. I highly recommend you share; -The flat bread with caramelised onion - The Salmon Ceviche - the Lamb We talked to 3 staff, all of them delightful and ready, when asked, with suggestions or advice on meal/wine selection. We did order too much, and our stomachs and wallet felt it 😜 but in a good way. We will be going back soon for an encore- perhaps you will too 🤤🤩

I wanted to visit out of curiosity from the name and outside appearance. So glad we went. Our best meal so far in Sydney. Met all the requirements of our group including vegetarian, no fish and generally fussy eaters. Food was delicious and full of flavour. Great ambience and very attentive and friendly staff.

Absolutely delicious! Radio Cairo blew me away with how tasty the food was — every dish was bursting with authentic flavours and unique spices. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into the cooking. The variety on the menu makes it easy to try lots of different dishes, and everything I tasted was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. Such a great spot for anyone who loves vibrant, authentic food! I’ll definitely be coming back.

Arrived at 3.20pm and it seems like most stalls are already washing up and closing, no more cooking of seafood. Had a quick look and the seafood is indeed fresh and of high quality, however, the prices are on the high side as you can expect of a tourist spot. Got a quick bite for $5 but didn’t managed to catch anything else as it was already near closing time. Would still recommend a visit if you are in the vicinity and enjoys seafood, you choose the items, they cook for you.

The entrance is free, do not believe what’s on Google review that says $95 on ticket section. Got plenty of good food from Multiple food vendors. Many varieties of fish, prawn and crab that you can cook at home, lots of choices but if you want to eat in the market just be careful with the seagulls, those birds love to steal people’s food but thankfully they never snach mine. What I don’t like about this market is when so many Chinese tourists come here, they don’t know the basic manner like standing on the queue or just saying “excuse me & sorry”.

Great spot for super fresh seafood! There’s an awesome range and the prices are pretty decent for what you get. The vibes are great and it’s the perfect place to hang out on a sunny day. Only downside is the area’s not that big and seating can be a bit limited, so we had to wait for a table. Most of it’s outdoors too, so please watch out for the seagulls!!! Really glad they’re upgrading the place though and can’t wait to see the new look!

Glad to visit the current market before the new one opens in January 2026. The cooked-food area has several stalls selling battered or grilled seafood with chips or salads, and there are also sashimi and sushi options made with fresh fish. Beer on tap was smooth and refreshing. Inside the main market vicinity, there are several seafood stalls where you can buy raw seafood to bring home. A lively spot with great choices whether you are dining in or shopping for fresh seafood.

Sydney Fish Market is a must-visit if you love seafood! The variety is amazing! everything from fresh prawns and oysters to sushi, lobster, and sashimi. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all so fresh and delicious. It does get really busy, especially around lunchtime, but that’s part of the fun and atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for the quality you’re getting, and there’s plenty of seating by the water where you can enjoy your food. Just watch out for the seagulls if you’re eating outside! Definitely worth the stop when you’re in Sydney.

The Australian National Maritime Museum is already incredible from the outside, and I can only imagine how amazing it is inside. I didn’t buy a ticket, but just walking past the outdoor displays of ships and boats was really cool. The exhibits outside are fascinating and definitely worth checking out, perfect for maritime enthusiasts and photo opportunities!

We booked the Terrace Room at the Australian National Maritime Museum for our wedding reception and had an amazing time. When we first requested a quote for booking the space, Jasmine responded promptly and provided enough information to make a decision on whether to pursue it further. We arranged a site visit which helped us see the potential for the space. Throughout the planning process, Jasmine and Alexandra were patient and thorough in providing responses. Whenever I sent e-mails asking numerous questions, they would methodically go through and answer every question, which made the process feel a lot easier. They were also flexible and accommodating to any bespoke requests. On our wedding day, the Terrace room was set up well ahead of time, which gave us ample opportunity to add the finishing touches. Although we had a running sheet for meal times etc., Alexandra (who lead the team on the day) understood our intentions and priorities from the planning process and adapted accordingly. I am glad that I was able to eat every course of food that was served at my wedding, especially since it was all so delicious! When booking the venue, it was made clear that catering would be provided by the catering partner (which was Sydney Restaurant Group at the time of our wedding). I'm glad it was set because I might not have found them otherwise. The food served tasted as good as it looked, and it was consistent with what we were served at the tasting session during planning. My personal highlights were the heirloom tomato tart and the beef cheek. Since our wedding was held on a Saturday, we had the added bonus of being able to view the drone show that was being trialled (in place of the usual fireworks which also would have been great). It was easy for our guests to step out from the private balcony to get a good view. This added a special touch to the day with no additional cost to us. I would definitely recommend the Australian National Maritime Museum as a venue for a wedding reception, especially since it is so close to the Pyrmont Registry for a no-fuss ceremony.

We visited Sydney Zoo with my old parents and the kids. We had a good day and enjoyed it. We couldn’t find some animals, which was funny — maybe we missed them! The zoo isn’t very big, and there weren’t tons of animals, but what we saw was nice. The entrance fee was a bit pricey, I think. Overall, we had fun and everyone enjoyed it. The kids loved seeing the animals, and my parents liked the easy access and shade. Would go again, just maybe not for the animals alone, it’s more for a family day out.

We visited WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo and enjoyed seeing so many native Australian animals up close, especially the koalas and kangaroos. The exhibits are well presented and the staff were friendly and helpful. At the same time, we couldn’t help but feel sorry for some of the animals given the limited space. Overall, it was still an interesting and worthwhile visit.

One of the best zoos we’ve ever been to! The animals are clearly all so well cared for, with spacious enclosures for them all and as a result we were able to see many of them active and playing with one another. The two baby chimps were so fun to watch! Our daughter did the keeper for a day behind the scenes activity and loved it.

Good choice on rainy days as it is largely opaque and covered outside. The koala experience was fun and you also get some pictures to go with it. The zoo is nicely decorated according to the animals you can see. Ideal for with children!

It's located close to Darling harbour, along with Sea Life aquarium and Madamme Tussads. We visited here on a weekday morning. It was less crowded. There are a lot of animals here, specifically the ones local to Australia that you get to see. You get to see Koala, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Tasmanian Devil, reptiles, etc. They also let you take photos with the Koala. There are various programs as well spread out the day focussed on Koala, Kangaroo, etc. The premises are well maintained and clean. They have accessibility throughout the premises too. There's a cafe near to Koala spot for light eats and beverages. Overall we enjoyed the day visiting here and totally worth it. Recommend to purchase the entrance ticket as a combo alongside nearby attractions.

If you are really hard pressed for time and have to tick off seeing the big 5, go for it. It is a small place. The female Kangaroo's are much smaller in size and mostly just laying around. A few Koala's as well but I really did not get to see them in action. A tad bit disappointed but the zoo staff are kind. They interact with you and tell you more about the animals, if you ask them.

Absolutely top tier casual fine dining. There are simply not enough words to describe the variety, tastes, and textures that came with each unique dish. The superlative blend between Japanese and Italian cuisines is simply wonderful. The location is very accessible, and the service was very good and attentive, with every dish being explained when it is served to you. Hurry up and make your booking if you haven't already.

My experience at Lumi tonight was BEYOND spectacular. Words cannot describe how amazing our night was, but I will attempt to in this review. Before even arriving, I called the restaurant to see if they were able to shift our booking to accommodate our slight change in schedule, to which the staff were so accommodating to my request! The food to say the least was an absolute DELIGHT! Never in my life have I ever experienced such unique and interesting tastes before. Every single bite of food was a FLAVOUR EXPLOSION! 🤯🤯🤯 Yet, the thing that sets Lumi apart from all the other fine dining restaurants I’ve visited is the superb service! Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful towards making our night so memorable. The food at Lumi Dining was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. eEach dish felt perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted. The service matched the quality of the cuisine: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. From the ambiance to the pacing of the meal, everything was seamless. Special thanks to Chef Federico for looking after us and making the experience even more memorable. A true highlight of Sydney’s fine dining scene, highly recommended.

We treated ourselves to the June omakase menu with wine pairing, and honestly, it was an experience worth writing home about (or at least posting a cheeky review for). True to fine dining form, the staff were warm and attentive, and the setting was spotless — not a napkin out of place. It made our special family gathering feel that extra bit more special. Even our 8-year-old was impressed — and that’s saying something. She gave the kids’ menu two thumbs up, followed by a surprise high five for the head chef. Pretty sure that moment is locked in as one of her core memories now. Safe to say, we’ll be back. Probably with the same kid, possibly with even higher expectations.

5 star service and menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our sample menu lunch. From the moment we arrived we felt incredibly special. My husbands nut allergy did not detract from the flavour sensation.

Came here to celebrate a birthday but was disappointed. The male waiter’s service was rather indifferent, no small birthday treat or anything special was offered. The quail Wellington tasted strange and not fresh. Honestly expected a lot more for the price.

Without a doubt the best fine dining restaurant in Sydney. We go for all our special occasions and each time is better than the last. Each course is a work of art. The head chef is an artist and every table can see him at work as the kitchen is in full view. Nothing is short of perfection - the service is impeccable, the food sends every one of your senses into overdrive. Exactly what you would expect from fine dining and even more. It’s where you take someone to impress them. It is not a meal, it’s an experience you have to try. Worth every cent.

It was our first time to Nando’s, I would like to mention the great customer service we received from Kiran (or Karim, sorry the wrong spelling) he was very nice and welcoming, it’s a pleasure to have this attention on Friday late evening when everyone is tired and thinking of going home, I really appreciate it. The food is good in terms of quality and price. Fair enough.

Great food in a convenient location. Super easy to order and pay from the table while dining in. Quite a large restaurant with lots of indoor seating in a variety of table configurations. Tables along front window great for watching the world go by in Clarence St. Grilled chicken & chicken wrap very tasty. Perfect place for lunch or an early dinner.

Is Nandos loosing its flare? Went for lunch here and they did not meet my expectations. Ordered a Pita Meal. Chicken. Was over cooked and had no flavor. No Perinaise in the Pita. Just salad leaves. No bottomless drinks on offer. Compared to Nandos in Singapore, Aussie version is well below standard. No wonder they are losing out in Aussie. Heard, many outlets are closing down.

I tried the recommended PERinaise Classic + Regular Chips combo. The chicken was served warm and tasted quite good. However, the overall experience was below expectations for a city centre location. The lettuce was not fresh — its color looked dull and there were reddish spots on the edges, which usually indicate that it’s old or starting to spoil. The bun was also a bit hard, not like freshly baked bread. Overall, it was just average, not really worth the price. If fresh lettuce isn’t available, I’d suggest replacing it with cucumber slices or simply serving the burger without it. It’s always better to serve fewer ingredients than to serve ones that are not fresh.

I am a regular fan of Nando’s and usually enjoy the food and experience. However, I had a disappointing encounter at your clarence st branch recently that I feel is important to share. I went in alone for lunch, and the indian waiter approached me with, “Have you been to Nando’s before?” When I said yes, he responded, “Okay, you must know how to order,” and then pointed me to a seat. What bothered me was that I observed him not asking the same question to other customers. This made me feel singled out and uncomfortable. After my meal, I politely raised this with him, explaining that I’ve visited Nando’s in many countries and have never been treated in this way. His explanation was that he had not seen me at this particular branch before — which, in my opinion, is not a valid reason to treat a customer differently. I left feeling that this was poor customer service, and whether intentional or not, it carried undertones of unconscious bias. As someone who has always associated Nando’s with inclusivity and great hospitality, this was disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that all customers — regardless of background, appearance, or whether they dine alone — feel equally welcome.

The food and service was fantastic. We went yesterday and the young man at the counter gave us fantastic service. The food was amazing. The place was clean. Highly recommend.

Great place! Hands down one of the best Nando’s I’ve been to. I’ve been to the Broadway and Missenden Road locations, but this one really stood out. Kieran, one of the floor staff, greeted me as soon as I walked in and guided me towards a table of my choice. He laid out the menu, explained how ordering works, and reassured us that he’d be around if we needed anything. After I ordered online, Kieran came to confirm everything went through and gave us a heads-up about a slight delay with the food. Mid meal, he checked in with us to confirm that the food and everything was good. lastly, when we left, he gave us a warm goodbye. But here’s the best part—Kieran actually ran back out and surprised us with two bottles of Nando’s sauce as a gift. Super generous and unexpected! The food was great, but the service really made the experience feel like I was at a high-end restaurant. Massive shoutout to Kieran—his attention and kindness elevated the whole meal. Highly recommend this location!

A casual Japanese eatery that offers burgers and fries using Japanese inspired ingredients. It's one of the more affordable options in the precinct. Service was slightly slow but the tables were not that clean when we sat down. Overall not too bad.

I came here for a meal because the reviews were not bad. However, the ingredients tasted quite average. The fried pork cutlet was frozen, lacking juiciness, texture, and aroma. But the good things is the staff was very friendly.

Tasty Japanese style burgers We got the fish katsu burger & double cheeseburger and they were tasty and generous. The fish was nicely crumbed & crispy, and the tanginess of the tartare sauce paired really well with it. The double cheeseburger was big & juicy - perfect to satisfy a burger craving! The onions rings were amazing. We got the chips & onion rings combo, and they were both well-seasoned & crunchy. The Japanese fried chicken tasted good but were a little oily. The assortment of Japanese pickles were a must!! There were 3 different types of pickles and they were fresh & crunchy and paired so well with the fatty/greasy meal. Their housemade sodas are also worth a try, and help balanced out the meal with their freshness & sweetness. The seating area is pretty basic but convenient for a quick & cheaper meal in Barangaroo

This was my first time trying out this Japanese burger eatery at Barangaroo. It has outdoor seating and with shade; so would weather rain or if it is too sunny. There is the convenience to dine in or take away. To order, queue at towards the register and they accept both cash and card. My choice was the fish katsu burger. Dont be fooled by how ordinary it looks as the taste was wow. I couldn't get enough of the yummylicious fish katsu burger. The fish was succulent and juicy even though it was fried. The sauces complemented the burger. I will surely be back for more of the burgers. For folks thinking of checking this place out and wanting to come by public transport, it is accessible by ferry (closest) or within walking distance from Wynyard station or Barangaroo station (a bit further than the other modes of transport).

This restaurant offers a variety of reasonably priced and delicious burgers. I recommend the Ume burger and the Japanese fried chicken. The daytime view of the harbor adds a lovely touch to the dining experience. The staff are friendly and attentive, though I found the meat in some burgers a bit chewy and wasn't a fan of the Orion beer. Overall, it’s still a great spot to visit!

We were craving for some burgers so we decided to head down to Ume in Barangaroo for a quick feed and a nice view. I’ve been here in the past (maybe 2 years ago?) and had good memories of this place. We ordered the fish burger and the ume burger, plus some chicken karaage and onion rings on the side. Service was quick and staff members were friendly. The burgers were both flavoursome and the chicken were nice. Onion rings were doubled battered so they are super naughty! The burgers were both juicy and moreish. From memory the double patty burger was quite good valued compared to the rest of the burgers. My only complain was that the karaage chicken has made me quite thirsty afterward. Perhaps it was the salt level, or msg…don’t know but I won’t order that again. Overall, a nice cool place for lunch (not on a windy day though!).

Everything fried from the menu are overcooked. They were only saved by the camera filters, actuals are much darker. It was definitely not fresh and felt it was precooked and deep fried again before serving. The Burger was good but big let down by the sides.
