Queens Park Toowoomba is a sprawling 26.3-hectare park in the city center known for its historic botanical garden and vibrant events like the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and Food and Wine Festival. The park features family-friendly sections, including playgrounds, sports fields, an off-leash dog park, and picnic areas. The wheelchair-accessible playground is a favorite among children with its inclusive features such as accessible musical chimes, slides, swings, and climbing structures.
🌸 Beautiful displays, vibrant atmosphere, and so much creativity in every corner. The mix of flowers and food stalls made it a truly uplifting day out. A must-visit event for all ages! 🌸
Riana L — Google review
Visited during the Flower Festival season. The botanical displays are magnificent and such a vast variety of trees, gardens, lawns and floral beds. Beautifully planned and maintained. I felt immersed in nature, it was so calming.
Tracie H — Google review
Well maintained Garden. The gardens are vibrant and beautifully designed, especially during the Carnival of Flowers — it feels like walking through a painting! There’s plenty of open space for picnics, walking tracks, a great playground for kids, and lots of shady spots to relax. The atmosphere is peaceful, clean, and family-friendly. Perfect place to unwind, take photos, or enjoy a day out in nature. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Toowoomba! 🌸🌳✨
SK S — Google review
Visited the Toowoomba Flower Festival at Queen’s Park — it was crowded but absolutely beautiful! The gardens were perfectly maintained, full of colour, and the whole place had such a cheerful vibe. Loved that it’s dog-friendly too. Hats off to everyone who worked hard to make it look this amazing! 🌼

It's a wonderful time in Toowoomba. Gardens throughout the town are full of vibrant flowers and creativity. Lots to see and do in Queens Park, from shopping at the local farmers markets, going to the amusement park, winding through the maze or strolling through the park. I highly recommend Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers 💐
Kazz A — Google review
This is a stunning, well maintained park. There are trees planted along all of the paths offering shaded areas, and the lawns are kept neat and tidy. The Flower Festival really makes great use of the garden beds in September and October, and the option of various playgrounds here is appealing. There are wide open spaces to kick around a ball in and various paths to get around the vast park area with. A beautiful spot.
Sarah — Google review
Fortunate to have a break from the hospital to enjoy the beautiful Flower festival!! Thank you to all who put in so much effort. It is uplifting, inspiring and grounding.

Fitzy's Toowoomba is a standout destination that transcends the typical pub experience, offering an exceptional blend of hospitality and entertainment. Nestled on Margaret Street, this vibrant venue features three bars, an award-winning restaurant, and a gaming lounge. The extensive à la carte menu showcases delectable options like Tasmanian salmon and grilled barramundi alongside enticing vegetarian dishes.
Great staff, really cheerful, genuinely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of good tap beers to choose from and the food menu offered a good range. The steak was hard to pass up. Very nice quality, cooked well, large enough that you don’t really need much else to satisfy.

Great place to have a nice dinner in a pleasant atmosphere. Like getting in early here as its very popular and can be noisy. Arrive early and the experience is much better. The food is delicious and the parmigiana I had was great. Was a nice place ro celebrate the end of year with colleagues
Revital Y — Google review
Great beer, service and atmosphere. The vibe is upscale casual, which I like. They have my favorite little creatures rogers amber ale on tap, which I appreciate. Good and friendly service. Loses a star because they impose around a 1% surcharge on card transactions. Almost everyone today pays with card, so they should just set a proper menu price and do away with all the silly hidden surcharges, similar to what every business already does with GST.
David M — Google review
Visited during the week for lunch, service and atmosphere was excellent, a few different areas with a different vibe that you can choose from, which was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Two of us ordered medium rare steaks but both of them arrived very close to well done, still juicy and tasty but not a hint of pink… definitely not medium rare, apart from that, highly recommended.
Cowan C — Google review
We didn't have a booking, so took a cute booth table in the bar. The bar menu was limited, but adequate. Plenty of GF options. We ordered a GF schnitzel with GF fries. The youngers in the party drank mocktails which were a hit. The salads were delicious and the portions very generous, however the prices were on the higher side for pub-fare.
C M — Google review
Atmosphere lovely and the staff work like Trojans, pity my roast pumpkin salad was definitely not up to par. Dry greens, cold pumpkin and could barely find the feta or parmasan.
Belle-Marie P — Google review
Excellent meal. Great table staff who are attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended for a meal when in Toowoomba.
David M — Google review
Was looking forward to a fantastic rare night out at Fitzy’s . Arrived 7.45 & we ordered 350g rib eye & eye fillet. Staff were ok to say the least but both the steaks were very chewy & advise the waitress & was offered one wine , wee accepted . Then stayed on as friends arrived & we all enjoyed to the wee hours , upon leaving I noticed the taxi queue & asked to return to the toilet but was refused entry.. very abrupt bouncers after spending $360 I found this disgraceful & very poor service, after all I’m no teenager or young at 65 & nature comes more frequently. The place its self is beautiful clean & has a few choices to have fun . Ps the steak was cooked as requested but suggested a change of butcher, suggested Cole’s seriously disappointed regards Frank

The Baker's Duck is a no-frills bakery with a cult following, known for its artisanal sourdough and creative pastries like persimmon, pistachio, and rose water streusel, passionfruit cheesecake Danish, and the cruffin. The bakery also offers almond croissants, brownies, and fruit Danishes. Customers can enjoy a flat white made with local Ground Up Espresso beans or order online for pick-up.
The Baker's Duck is our favourite Toowoomba bakeries without question. The boutique atmosphere paired with the delicious smell of fresh pastries is only second to the quality of the food itself. We have tried a range of sweet and savoury pastries without disappointment. We will continue coming every Saturday and highly recommend this beautiful bakery, paired with quality coffee to all. Note: BEST ham and cheese croissant we have ever had - our favourite item on the menu!

Oh my goodness me. Day trips to Toowoomba just got even better...to be honest a trip just for The Baker's Duck would be more than justified. I can't fault a single thing but honorable mention to the incredible assortment of eclairs and anything wrapped around their buttery croissant pastry. So delicious, so decadent and so very naughty. Thank you
Gigi C — Google review
I arrived around 11 AM today, and to my surprise, the flavor I wanted most was already sold out! I’ll probably have to go earlier next time. This time, since I bought 14 pastries all at once, I spent a bit of time at the counter placing the order, but the staff were very patient and helpful—truly appreciated. When I received my coffee and the freshly baked croissants, along with the friendly staff chatting with us, it made for such a lovely afternoon. Thank you so much, and I’ll definitely be back next time!😊
Chun L — Google review
Lovely cafe, packed the day we went, no seating available inside so we sat outside on the side of cafe which was cute and inviting even in the cool crisp morning, waited about 5-10 mins for coffee, but pastry was served instantly. Pastry was perfectly crunchy and not very sweet at all, just lacking the buttery taste, loved the apple turnover, the crunchy, the stewed apple, and then the cream was divine!! Coffee we give it 2.5-3/5
Rui M — Google review
Took a punt on The Baker’s Duck after seeing great reviews – and it lived up to the hype! Flat white on oat and a chai on oat were spot on. Grabbed an apple turnover and a custard tart (figure eight shaped!!!) – both excellent, but the apple turnover was next level. Custard base, diced apple, vanilla bean cream, and perfect flaky pastry. Absolutely worth the detour – make it a must-stop in Toowoomba.

✨ A Sweet Surprise in Toowoomba! ✨ We went to Toowoomba for the first time for a hike, and after finishing the trail we stumbled upon this popular little café. What a surprise find! 💛 🥐 The Croissant – Airy, delicate, and full of layers. The texture is so light with no greasy feel at all, just buttery perfection that melts in your mouth. This is the BEST croissant in here!!💚 🍰 Basque Cheesecake – Smooth and creamy with that caramelised top adding a rich, slightly smoky note. It’s indulgent yet not heavy. The kind of cake that keeps you going back for more.🧡
Lung C — Google review
Food and service is phenomenal. The sweets are very good, the sausage roll was abit underwhelming. It was overcrowded with a line around the corner but coffee orders still moved relatively quickly. I think they handled the crowd as best they could but being overwhelmed by lines and inability to move within the restaurant does take away from the atmosphere.

Queensland Museum Cobb+Co in Toowoomba is a local history museum that showcases the national collection of vehicles, particularly from the horse-drawn era. It's part of Queensland Museum and features a wide array of horse-drawn vehicles, archaeological artifacts, and historical Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander objects. The museum offers something for all ages to enjoy and learn about Toowoomba's rich history dating back to the early 1800s.
Was just passing by and decided to go in and suss it out. Loved the museum! Their displays of restored carriages from the 19th century is amazing, well explained and interactive, really preserved a piece of Queensland history! There is also a science area for kids, very interactive and fun, highly recommended. The prices are fair, 12.5$ adults, and 10$ for students or concesion
Gabriel T — Google review
Interesting place indeed. So much Australian History. This place makes you proud to be an Aussie. I loved all the old carriages especially the caravan. I also thought the Cobb & Co. Journey's were fascinating, I could have watched and read it all. There were boxes and suitcases around the place showing you what families lived in the area. That was clever. The Saddlery and Wheelwright workshops were very interesting. I liked how you can go to classes to learn these trades. Toowoomba's Carnival of Flowers pot plant winners were on show throughout the museum, very colourful. As I was an out of towner, it costs me $12.50 but if you lived in the Toowoomba region it was free. It's a small price to pay for some wonderful Australian history. I highly recommend.

This is a nice place to visit. Kept the kids happy with the kids stuff in certain areas... perfect marketing and less stress for us adults. Entry fee was just a little expensive for what it is..

Was there for the intro Blacksmith course which was fun, practical and pretty Zen. Knowledgeable instructor, great bunch of participants, good gear and very hands on. Thoroughly recommend. Good interpretation in the museum and full workshops where they rehab old coaches.

We went a week ago but I forgot to review so I'm doing it now. It is amazing the history in it is next level and its awesome for kids and even teens because if its science area where you can play for hours. Can't wait to go back again.

A great museum with many interesting features including the collection of coaches and horse drawn vehicles The carriage works was also extremely impressive The windmill display outside is a very impressive feature
Graeme F — Google review
A must visit! We go weekly to the little cobbers sessions (9:30 each weekday outside of school holidays, where they have different activities on), they share information on a topic of the week and the kids do a craft activity before a scavenger hunt through the museum. It’s such an easy place to meet lovely parents and grandparents in the group and the staff are really accomodating those loud toddler days when all they want to do is move and make plenty of noise. It’s such an easy place to explore, you feel welcome by the team & if you’re organised the workshops are something special either as an observer or getting involved

Great bar. Great selection of beers on tap
Glen G — Google review
Popped into Fitzy's and it wasn't too crowded or loud. The dark lighting and candles on the tables created a very nice cosy atmosphere. Ordered a Kilcoy sirloin steak, medium rare, with vegetable greens and the crumbed haloumi entre. I've never had crumbed haloumi, and I personally preferred a fried haloumi, but I have no complaints for the taste. The Greek yogurt sauce it came with was great and my only complaint is there wasn’t more of it. The steak was amazing. Perhaps it was cooked to medium, I'm no steak connoisseur, but it wasn't chewy at all and the fat was rendered and easy to down. Vegetable greens were perfectly cooked.
Dominik W — Google review
The service was great. The ambience was on point with the music cruisy and the perfect level. The food is very much pub grub but great quality. I’ll definitely be back.

Great atmosphere. Good selection of Craft beers. Staff extra helpful and friendly. Can definitely recommend a visit here. I will certainly come back again.

Great atmosphere, go here just for that! Bar looks old, dark, and has super fun beers on tap! Even my favourites - sours! $18 pints for those however. But knowledgeable and helpful staff. I go everytime I'm in Toowoomba.

Nice pub. It's $15 for a pint which is probably the going rate.

Staff was friendly greeting us when we walked in but that was pretty much it. Didn't really gave much suggestions when we ask about the cocktail selections. The drink we ordered were acceptable, if not quite on the sweet side (Mai Tai & The Reed). Great selection of draft beers on tap. Haven't tried any food yet due to time constraints but I'll make sure to put it up here :)

Milk and Honey Espresso Bar is a sunny and inviting all-day cafe, furnished with clean and crisp decor that creates an airy ambiance. The winter soup is also highly recommended for its delicious flavor. Additionally, Milk and Honey boasts a delectable assortment of homemade biscuits, scones, slices, and cakes that are generously sized.
Sunny, friendly all-day cafe with a welcoming atmosphere & crisp, clean decor. High ceilings create a comfy light open space. Outdoor seating extends for seating in the NW winter sun. Good selection of generously-sized homemade biscuits, scones, slices & cakes, fine coffee, fresh juices.

Nicely decorated, good ambience and very friendly and attentive staff. Our breakfast was exceptional. I also treated myself to a Portuguese tarte - probably the best one I've had since I visited Lisbon a few years ago and fell in love with pasteis de nata.

Same old same old Cafe + breakfast. Nothing out of ordinary to blow your mind, however a very cosy spot and we'll suited for big groups. We headed here with a group after a workout and the service was very organised and speedy. Coffee was alright and the sweets were hit and miss in my opinion. I will definitely try more items in the future and edit this review as I go.

Funky little coffee shop cafe. Awesome fit out with indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed a bacon, cheese and beans jaffles. It was extreamly tasty and served at the perfect temperature so it doesnt burn your mouth. We also had a almond latte and a piccolo latte. Both very good. Will be back. Would recommend.

Went back for breakfast for the first time in a while. The place was not too busy (it was only 7.30am) and we were lucky to get a seat without having to wait. I had the Eggs Your Way and my partner had the M&H Platter. I know looking at the photos the bacon looks over cooked but i love it on the crispy side and it was cooked to perfection for me and really tastey. The eggs were soft and perfectly with the yolk soft. The coffee is always good.Great service, good food, good coffee with good company what more could you ask for on a Saturday morning. Do yourself a a favour and go for breakfast you won't regret it.

Eggs were well cooked, coffee was tasty and presentation was aesthetic, but the food was quite bland. Fantastic location and decor though.
Justin K — Google review
Milk and honey appears to be a great new hipster hang out in the growing cultural Mecca of Toowoomba. The menu is a upmarket, there is no typical bacon and egg roll or big breakfast. However it works, the flavours have been considered and work well together. The coffee is like lava, once it had cooled down it was drinkable. It may have been an inexperienced barista but it's not the best coffee in Toowoomba. The atmosphere is good for family's and kids to run wild however it can get noisy inside with the high ceiling and open space. There is no wifi at present so for students looking to study over a coffee you will need an external connection. Overall I would not rush to come back here, but I would certainly stop in if I was passing by. The cafe is open from 0600-1500 every day. It has a large following with local cyclists so maybe wait till after 9am if Lycra offends you.o

With exceptional customer service from their cheerful staff, especially Ethan, every visit is guaranteed to be enjoyable. The food at Zambrero Toowoomba is always fresh, with a great selection of vegan options and gluten-free alternatives available.
Love love love this place. The food is sensational. The customer service is brilliant. We come here a lot for the flavour and for the options with dietary restrictions. Plenty of gluten free, dairy free, egg free, vegetarian and vegan options, plus all the usual. It’s always value for money and portions are true to size. Many places could really learn a lot from the quality and service of this place.

I wish there was a 0 star rating for service. The 2 girls at the counter who served us were so rude and seemed like serving us was a pain. They looked at us rudely, and spoke in a terrible manner. They definitely don’t seem like they want to be working and serving customers. My friend asked them to throw her empty coffee cup in the bin and she said “there’s a bin by the door” she then went over to her coworker and said something about us whilst looking in our direction. Absolutely horrible. Hire nicer people who enjoy their job.
Kellie C — Google review
You'd think the staff have never seen cash before. If I pay with cash, I expect there to be enough cash in the till to not give me a handful of 5c pieces. Food was average, staff was forgetful about what was asked for. I speak clearer than most people, so the fault is either with their hearing or their short term memory. It takes too long to be served at the best of times, and the meat was left on an unheated counter for an unreasonable amount of time. I'm usually not picky, but this is the 3rd visit I've had with substandard service and quality of food. The price, being premium, means that I expect a hell of a lot better. When I can buy an expertly cooked steak for $4 more than a burrito at another establishment, and wait less time for it to be prepared, then there's a problem with your business model. I will be voting with my wallet and avoiding the place. I should add that the 2 girls behind the counter were disrespectful at best and downright rude on several previous occassions. Friday night, 1830hours approximately. I don't like being treated with disrespect, but I let it slide once or twice. 3 or more times and it becomes obvious that the person serving has a poor attitude.

The problem with this place is that it indubitably gets compared to GYG. Something about apples and oranges but this is more like comparing a Pink Lady with a Granny Smith. I've come twice this week, once for lunch and once for tea on a Friday night. Not a good place if in a hurry. Takes a while if there's a queue (cheers to the Karen in front of us with an order of about 100 items). Possibly understaffed, only ever one server on at a time. Once you're up you're up though so be ready to order. On the topic, the "Order Here" sign? Worst positioning possible. The best way to describe it is Subway but Mexican. In that regard it's kinda gyg with a bit more of an "Eat Fresh" vibe. Again though; apples and oranges. Music? Some hits but also some songs are very miss. Seats quite low. Is that a bad thing I'm not sure but definitely very low seats. Child seat also on display. I don't have kids though (thank goodness) so not an issue for me but good to know they're catering for everyone. Pros: large degree of customisation available. Cons: large degree of customisation available. Thankfully they offer suggestions. I like this. On the Friday I ran a burrito featuring pork, white rice, beans, sour cream, guac, tomato, onion and corn salsas, cheese, lime juice and chipotle sauce. Can recommend this combo. The mix of salsas was delightfully refreshing. The sauce with a mild heat that was perfect for my sensitive bowels. I had the red chilli sauce on my first time here and while delicious and surprisingly easy on the heat at the time, it had an afterburn that left me dreading the final 'farewell' of the sauce. Biggest drawback is no sides available. Big let down. The burrito only provides mild satiation. Great for lunch, not so much for dinner. Add some potato chips to the menu and winner for sure. They proudly advertise the number of donated meals. I'm all for doing your bit for the world but the 1:1 ratio of donated:purchased meals does make me think maybe I'm paying too much? Definitely run the tomato+onion+corn salsa combo. My goodness. Neon lights are always cool too.

Gip's Restaurant is an elegant 1860s mansion set amidst lush gardens, offering a charming all-day café that serves delectable sandwiches and salads. The restaurant also features a delightful courtyard where guests can relax and enjoy their meals. Despite facing unexpected flooding during a wedding in late February, the dedicated coordinator, Cath, miraculously managed to transform the event into an intimate and beautiful indoor affair.
Gips is a great place for a nice dinner. The service was great tonight, all the young men who served us at different times were knowledgeable and friendly, offering suggestions and not being pushy about anything. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant, makes for a very relaxing and intimate setting. The food is very delicious but is on the pricey side, there isn't a huge range but there should be something to suit everyone. The drinks menu is extensive, they offer a large range of wines and a decent selection of other drinks too. Looking forward to my next visit!

We loved our lunch at Gips as we came for a day trip to Toowoomba for the Festival of the Flowers. Service, food and cocktails were superb, highly recommend this place! We had starters and mains, were unable to fit in dessert! Thanks Gip's team for creating a warm, welcoming and professional ambiance for us to enjoy.

Gips held our wedding reception this year and it was just phenomenal ✨ despite raining during our extended cocktail hour, staff professionally transitioned our 70+ guests inside for an intimate, candlelit affair. Our reception space in the James Taylor room was set up beautifully in unison with Emunah Events (stylist). The food, drinks and service were impeccable, particularly given the dietary requirements we had. Thank you very much to Danielle and her team for making our day so very special 🤍

The food at Gip's restaurant is absolutely amazing. It's at the top of my list whenever I visit Toowoomba. You will not be disappointed and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the meals. Double thumbs up to whoever hires their chefs, they are so good.

Went to Gips for my anniversary was a little disappointed. We overall had a great time but were over serviced where we had only sat down for 2 minutes before asking to order, then when we did order each meal had 2 servers ask, definitely needs to be more communication with the team. The food was great maybe a tad overpriced for some meals. The atmosphere felt more like low end restaurant which wasn’t what we were after. I would still recommend them tho because the food was good.

My friend and I decided to try Gip’s Restaurant on a whim when discussing a place to eat for a catch up. We don’t head out much and can I just say this was the perfect venue! It was beautiful the staff were fantastic even when we were a little lost on where to present for our booking and the food was delicious! I will definitely be returning!

Nestled on the northern side of the University of Southern Queensland campus, the UniSQ Japanese Garden, known as Ju Raku En, is a stunning representation of traditional Japanese landscape design. Established in the 1980s by Professor Kinsaku Nakane from Kyoto, this garden embodies principles that promote peace and longevity. Spanning over 3 kilometers of winding paths, visitors can explore an impressive collection of 230 species of both Japanese and Australian native plants.
Gorgeous garden, authentic Japan feel. Great place for a gentle walk, picnics and even wedding photos. Quite and serene. Public toilet on site. Please keep dogs/pets on leash as lots of birds and ducks on site

A lovely and enchanting place, perfect for a relaxing walk or taking beautiful photos. We even took a little back way to reach the gardens, which made it feel more adventurous. The only downside was that it was quite busy, so it was hard to get photos without people in the background. Still, it’s a wonderful spot to stop by and enjoy.

We loved the Japanese Garden. We would go again. Nice areas to put a mat down and enjoy. The cherry blossoms were very pretty. Some trees are yet to showcase their full beauty today.

Lovely garden! Very tranquil when not busy, avoid during the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers if you want peace! The cherry blossoms are blooming currently which was also a huge bonus (26/09). Parking was slightly problematic with the festival but usually isn’t too bad.
B F — Google review
It was a fortunate experience to visit on a weekday. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, presenting a stunning display of seasonal beauty. With fewer visitors, the surroundings remained peaceful and serene, allowing for an uninterrupted appreciation of the natural scenery. This timing provided an ideal opportunity to capture and enjoy the essence of the garden at its finest.

Visited this place late afternoon on the last weekend (which also happened to be a long weekend) of the Carnival of Flowers, so was very crowded with visitors, picnicers and kids but was still a beautiful place. Not as peaceful and tranquil as it can be at others times i have visited. Wistetia and lillies were in bloom but it looked like the cherry bloosoms may have just finished when we visited in early October. Don't miss a stroll through our own native flora at the Gumbi Gumbi Gardens just around the corner.
Franca C — Google review
Peaceful and relaxing place to walk, sit, talk or meditate, even picnic. There are a few tables near the lake and a covered Pavilion overlooking the lake and gardens. Recommend a visit. Beautifully maintained gardens. Plenty of parking at either entrance. Can be busy in conjunction with festivals, but mostly a great to place to stroll, and enjoy the natural, green 'architecture'. No entry fees. Most walks are flat or modest gradient, some paths have steps, none steep. Toilets at the western boundary.

Wonderful garden, we also visited Queens Park gardens. Between Queens Park and the Japanese Garden it makes the 2 hour drive from Brisbane worth it. Will definitely visit again the future. We actually found this garden to be prettier than some of the gardens we visited IN Japan 😁 both Tokyo and Osaka.

City Golf Club Toowoomba offers an exciting 18-hole mini golf course with themed displays and challenging obstacles, providing a fun experience for visitors. Additionally, the club features a variety of poker machines, making it a popular choice for both casual players and enthusiasts. Guests also praise the excellent service at the clubhouse cafe, where they enjoyed delicious food and drinks. However, some visitors noted that the golf course was dry due to limited rainfall and mentioned the presence of plovers as a potential seasonal issue.
One of the better courses I’ve played on. The course is presented big and modern however it was very confusing to find the pro shop which is under the main building. The staff in the pro shop were extremely helpful and friendly contributing to a great experience. The course was presented beautifully, the greens keepers clearly paid a lot of attention to detail. I played all 18 holes. It is a good course for slightly better players with a lot bunkers but no water hazards. The holes were mostly straight forward and a lot had doglegs. Greens were excellently maintained apart from the last hole that had a lot of divots. If you are looking for a very positive golf experience in then this is a delightful course to play. The entire experience was positive from the interactions with members and playing the course. Well done to everyone involved here to make the course what it is and being so welcoming to a visitor like myself.

City Golf Club is beautiful! I recently arranged an event there for work and the staff were so helpful. The food and service was excellent and the view out to the golf greens were spectacular. I didn't expect much and was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Very affordable and with free parking. I will definitely be coming back to visit.

We celebrated our son’s 3rd birthday at City Golf Club last night with eight kids (from baby through to 10 years old) and six adults, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The customer service was outstanding… so accommodating, friendly, and welcoming of all the children. A special mention to Jack, who went above and beyond from the moment we arrived until the time we left. His warm smile and genuine care made the night even more memorable. We love going on Thursday nights when the kids eat free, and the meals are always quick, fresh, and enjoyable. The staff were also more than happy to bring out our birthday cake, lit with candles, and provided plates and spoons for everyone without any fuss. It was such a wonderful night, and we are so impressed with how every staff member went out of their way to make it special. Highly recommend!

The food was great, the drinks were as expected. The golf course was very dry and not as green as I imagine it would normally be as there hasn't been much rain and the sprinkler system must not cover the entire fairway areas. There is an excessive amount of plovers on the course, so during spring this may be problematic, for the most part they didn't attack us but they did call out and spread their wings to show that they are definitely there and making you aware of it.

Nature & Parks
Laurel Bank Park is a picturesque park and playground located in Toowoomba. The park features beautifully landscaped gardens, topiaries, and seasonal flower displays, providing a scenic backdrop for visitors. The playground offers various amenities such as slides, nets, a small rock climbing wall, swings, and more. Additionally, the park boasts large open grass areas suitable for playing cricket or football. Visitors can also enjoy well-maintained gardens with bridges over water features for leisurely strolls.
A beautiful park with manicured lawns and gardens that are obviously well maintained on a regular basis. Our visit was in Winter and the trees were bare and there were no flowers in bloom, but there was still a sense of peace. I can only imagine the beauty of it all in Spring. There’s a playground for the kids to burn off their energy and people had their dogs with them as well.

Laurel Bank Park in Toowoomba is a sensory delight and a local treasure—especially for flower lovers and families. Here's what makes it shine: Floral Spectacle - Famous for its springtime displays during the Carnival of Flowers, with tulips, cherry blossoms, and themed garden beds that draw crowds and cameras. - The Scented Garden, designed with input from the Downs Association of the Blind, features raised beds of fragrant herbs and blooms for an immersive experience. Play and Relaxation - A recently upgraded playground includes inclusive equipment like adaptive swings, climbing walls, and nets. - Wide lawns, shaded picnic areas, croquet greens, and water features make it perfect for a leisurely afternoon. Community and Charm - Hosts events like the Carnival Parade and Devonshire teas at the Croquet Club. - Interactive art, animal-shaped topiaries, and sculptures add whimsy and character throughout the park. Accessibility and Amenities - Easy parking, clean toilets, and nearby cafés like Urban Designs make it visitor-friendly. - Dogs are welcome, and the park’s compact layout makes it easy to explore without feeling rushed. Historical Roots - Donated in 1932 by Samuel George Stephens, known as “the man of flowers,” who personally cultivated the land before gifting it to the city. If Queens Park is Toowoomba’s grand stage, Laurel Bank Park is its intimate garden theatre—bursting with color, fragrance, and community spirit.

Went for my birthday breakfast and was disappointed. Waited for ages before order was taken even though saw multiple servers walking around doing nothing. Food was underseasoned and generally quite tasteless. I had the breakfast burger which had that horrid plastic sliced cheese that I wouldn't expect for the price paid. On a MACCAS burger ok yes fine but this no! Potato cakes were chunky, dry inside, no salt. Just a big lump of crushed potatoes skins and all formed into a cake shape. Poached eggs tiny. We weren't asked how we would like them poached. For such a lovely exterior the interior looked tired and dated. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Chinese restaurant
Restaurant
The Garden Restaurant offers simple yet delicious Japanese and Chinese cuisine, with freshly prepared dishes at reasonable prices. Despite its unassuming appearance, the restaurant provides attentive and fast service. The extensive menu offers a variety of options, ensuring there's something for everyone. While the establishment doesn't offer delivery and can be busy during peak hours, it remains a popular choice due to its succulent food and friendly staff.
Have been hearing about this place for quite a while and finally decided to drag everyone along. When we got there it wasn't much to look at, pretty standard Chinese shop vibes and definitely could do with a bit of TLC but I never judge a book by its cover. We got directed to our table pretty quickly and the waiter was decently pleasant. We sat down and we decided what to get on the menu, so many options that we ordered way too much and then realized that we might not eat it all. As an entree we just got the mixed entree and it came with a spring roll, dim sim, prawn toast and satay puff. They were all good but the stand out was the prawn toast, we considered just ordering a heap of them to take home. Soon our mains came out and first was the Thai fried rice, and let me tell you that this is the most flavorsome rice I've had for a long time. Soon after the sweet and sour pork and honey chicken came out and they blew me away. The honey chicken is usually a go to for me and this didn't disappoint but it was overshadowed by the pork. This pork was the perfect amount of sweet with just a twang of tang, a perfect crunch and a fresh aftertaste. Next we had even more come out, the Pad Thai and double BBQ beef. Both great and I'd say the pad Thai isn't usually my go too but everything was exceptional, spice was nice and had decent chunks of chicken through it. The BBQ beef was sort of one we just ordered because we wanted a beef one but it turned out to be one of my favorites. (trust me it was hard to pick a favorite) the crunch was on point and the taste was like nothing I'd had before, a bit like hoisin but sweeter and just better all up. Lastly we got the Mongolian lamb, this was one that I picked and was a bit worried about because I've had bad experiences with this meal in the past. But they nailed it, it came out on a sizzling plate and the meat was so tender that it felt like eating velvet. My girlfriend is the biggest anti lamb person I know and this was her favorite meal of the night, so that should tell you everything you need to know. The only things I'd improve on is the decor/care of the restaurant. I know that's probably not going to happen as it's not really that important so I can't fault them. But one thing that would be nice is if the staff/waiters would just come and check on you as we needed some drinks refills and didn't really get a chance to ask. We will definitely be returning and hopefully bring a bigger party next time so we can share this amazing place with others, thanks for having us. TLDR: Incredible food, recommend the Mongolian lamb and Sweet and sour pork plus the prawn toast as an entree. Staff needs to just ask a bit more about drinks.
Cameron C — Google review
The food is very nice But I will say I was very disappointed about my fried rice as I can’t eat egg. I asked them if they can make it without the egg which they were fine doing and I asked them if That fried rice had the little prawns in it and they said it does which I was absolutely happy with because that’s my favourite part of fried rice little did I know when I opened the fried rice. I only saw one tiny prawn in the whole dish. But there is lots of ham and chicken in it which I’ve never had chicken and fried rice before but just very disappointed that if they had to make my fried rice from scratch because it Had no egg that I would get more prawns. My advice is if you like prawns in your fried rice then you might as well just ask them for extra extra Prawns and hope that you get them

Several tables seated after we arrived had their orders taken before us. We were going to leave but my husband decided to go and see someone about why we hadn't been served as we had been waiting for at least half an hour. There was five of us the table. Dine in - lunch - 2 people TLDR - Poor service from indifferent staff 56min wait and no service. We were seated immediately, then waited for 20mins to receive menus. We had to find staff to ask for them. After 56mins, our order had not yet been taken. We looked around us, there were many people that were seated after us that had been waited on, served and eating their meals. We told staff that we were leaving and why. FOOD - Didn't get any. SERVICE - Didn't get any. ATMOSPHERE - Dull and dated. I heard the food was very good there. Sadly, after already waiting 56mins, we couldn't wait any longer.

The Bavarian Toowoomba, unfortunately now permanently closed, was a popular spot for specialty ales and European comfort food. Located on the second level of Grand Central, it offered scenic views of the mountain range. The menu featured Bavaria-inspired favorites and an array of beers including house brews from Urban Craft Brewing Co. While some found it a bit expensive, others felt it was worth the price for the delicious food and friendly service.

Nice atmosphere to enjoy a dinner with your friends or loved ones. Food was yummy and there were different options to select. I have visited couple of times and enjoyed different types of beers every time. Bit expensive than other places but felt worth it. The team was really helpful and friendly. I haven't seen it crowded so I believe booking a seat ahead is not necessary. Located in convenient location, 2 floor of the Grand Central.

Always enjoy our meal here. The food is excellent and the service friendly and fast. Currently using electronic check in and menu where you can order and pay at your table. Pretty cool system that I really liked. Review would be 5 stars except the electronic system doesn’t suit everyone and there doesn’t seem to be an alternative.

Good food, small portions, not top tier quality. Expensive sides. Not good value for money. First time I’ve paid $30 for a schnitzel and one side. $15 beers. No clearing of tables 45 minutes in, juggling desserts. Surcharges. You’ve been warned.

Easy to book, we booked on line. Arrived early and were seated. Plenty of options on the food and drink menu. We decided on the platter for two. The platter was huge, could have easily fed a 3rd person. We took some home and ate it the next day. Pork belly could have been better, it was a bit dry. Everything else was lovely. Drinks were very expensive but tasty. I wouldn't go there for a few drinks, you'd end up bankrupt! I looked up one bottle on line and The Bavarian were charging almost 3 times as much as it was on line! Had the cider too which was very refreshing. A good place to eat and would return. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere. UPDATE : Was tempted to go back until I read about the surcharge! Catchya Bavarian

Very disappointed. Ordered a munich platter from Toowoomba Bavarian and a side of wilted greens at a cost of $100 plus delivery. Doordash delivered a bowl of salad. Not doordash fault. The error was corrected. We received our correct order an hour and a half later. It was stone cold. It appeared to be our original order. Very poor considering the cost and the error made. Not impressed at all. And to top it all off, this was my wifes and I tenth anniversary. Beware.

I’ve been here before, the food is usually nice and the selections of beer are good. Just on this occasion I ordered my beer and food on the app and my partner ordered theirs at the counter. I waited 10 minutes (exactly) before my beer arrived and the manager responded to my questioning the delay with a rude demeanour. I didn’t feel that he really cared. We won’t be in a hurry to come back again

Food was pretty good. Take note: if you buy a shot or anyone else in the restaurant you'll be hearing a massive cow bell until you take the shot off the board. Lovely staff, helpful and happy.

Thai restaurant
Thai Royal Restaurant is a charming family-owned eatery located near Southtown Shopping Centre. The restaurant boasts traditional Thai decor, bright yellow walls, and outdoor seating on the deck. With over a decade of experience, the head chef brings authentic and modern Thai dishes to the table. While it's BYO only, this spot is perfect for Friday night family traditions or romantic dinner dates. Guests rave about the consistently good food, generous portions, and attentive staff.
*5/5 Stars* I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thai Royal Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm and welcoming, ensuring that we felt at home. The food was truly authentic and outstanding. Each dish was carefully prepared, and the flavors were bold and aromatic. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Tom Yum Soup, and each one exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was impressive. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were hands-on and attentive, ensuring that our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed. They were also very accommodating, happily adjusting the spice level and making recommendations. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, with traditional Thai decor adding to the ambiance. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend Thai Royal Restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Thai dining experience. The combination of outstanding food, exceptional service, and cozy atmosphere makes it a must-visit destination. *Will I return?* Absolutely! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I lived closer to this place, and I always go there with my family and friends because they have delicious food and good customer service. However, during a recent visit with my friends, our order was taken by some school-aged boys. We requested that they bring our appetizers first and then serve our main dishes later, but they brought everything out together. This was disappointing, as it's important to listen to customer preferences. Despite this issue, I still love the food and the service provided.

Asian-approved dishes! Everything was just perfect! Their signature dish was amazing! The staff was amazing and the atmosphere is quaint and peaceful. Would definitely go back there. I just found my go-to Thai place.

We came on mother's day last minute without reservation, they accommodated us well, the server was outstanding young but very attentive and respectful. The food was delightful, full of flavours very authentic. Hubby lived in Thailand and could definitely say it was a bring back sensation absolutely loved it.

We ordered take away dishes from here tonight and they did not disappoint. Chicken Penang and Chicken Cashew Nut and Coconut rice were absolutely delicious. It was our first try again at this restaurant since the new owners started and I must say they are definitely living up to the quality and expectations Thai Royal built up over the years. We can't wait to go through the menu on upcoming visits. Well done 🥰

We had lunch here today and it was excellent. The food was somewhat delayed in being served because there was only one chef available, but the server graciously apologized and offered us complimentary drinks. He provided such wonderful service.

I‘ve been a loyal guest for far over a decade. The food is consistently good, seating is nice and everything usually works well. Lunch deals are pretty decent size.

Meals ordered: penang chicken curry with coconut rice, chicken pad see ew noodles, garlic pepper chicken, beef with basil and chilli, Thai fried rice. I have visited 4-5 times and the experience has been exceptional. My favourite dish is the penang chicken curry however all of the meals have been amazing. The staff have been wonderful and the restaurant is very inviting and nicely presented. Allergies were able to be catered for with some meal options for my sister to try. Her allergies being seafood, fish, coconut, dairy and tree nuts we thought may be a challenge. Staff went above and beyond to check which dishes could be modified. And the food was beautiful. On this visit we ordered beef with basil and chilli, garlic pepper chicken and thai fried rice. The meals were lovely and this was a busy Monday night! The meals were all presented well and cooked to perfection; tender meats, aromatic sauces, colourful vegetables and lovely noodles/rice. I had previously tried 4 other Thai restaurants in Toowoomba and was not at all impressed. Having eaten at many Thai restaurants over the last 4 decades in south east qld i was starting to think Toowoomba had no outstanding Thai restaurants. I'm so pleased to have found this gem based on two friends recommendations who also live 4 hours away from this location. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. The dessert menu is very tempting and after seeing another table order deep fried ice-cream, I plan to order it next time.

Restaurant
Nestled within Springs Garden World, Kingfishers Cafe Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features an array of breakfast options including Eggs Bennie, Zucchini Fritters, Baked Butter Beans, Waffles and a hearty cooked breakfast. Catering to families, the cafe provides kids' menus and ample space for children to play in the grassed areas while parents relax.
Kingfishers Cafe is a perfect place to enjoy any event! The atmosphere and scenery of their gardens is just beautiful and so relaxing. The staff were helpful, kind and went above and beyond for our guests to ensure our dining experience was perfect. They provided extra umbrellas for shade, enough tables for what we needed for our event. They didn’t mind us turning up early to set up our balloon garland and decor. We had delicious sandwiches, cold/ hot canapés and gourmet desserts. The food package was well priced with five star service. They catered for gluten and dairy free. In hindsight I would have preferred a drinks package with barista made coffee over a tea & coffee station however it was something I overlooked. We had the most wonderful time and would highly recommend this venue for any occasion. Thank you so much to all your incredible staff, barista’s and chefs. Only one thing for booking an event, check in advance about extra costs regarding cake charge and tablecloths as it was something that was not discussed at booking.

Lovely Café within the Springs Nursery, the staff were very friendly and professional. The food choices were great. The seating ranged inside and outdoors with terrace and grassed areas available. Beautiful gardens surrounded the Café and a children's play area adjacent to the tables . Great place to eat.

Pork belly for breakfast. This was one of the gluten free options and was well presented and cooked. The rice was almost perfect ( I can be picky with rice), the egg was perfectly fried with the yolk still soft enough to blend into the rice. Would definitely have this again. Happy to have a different option that includes rice for breakfast 😋 Our food came out quickly and service was friendly.

Beautiful venue. Staff pleasant but did not deliver cutlery with the meals and had to be reminded to get some. No condiments offered. Food and drinks were only lukewarm warm. One was sent back because it was too cool to eat but truly everything should have been sent back. When the meal we sent back was returned, cutlery was forgotten again!

Breakky in amongst the nursery is so beautiful . . The eggs beni was amazing just different . . Chunky salmon not shaved and loads of sauce . .which it needed as it would have been a touch dry otherwise. . But lovely food otherwise . .

I ordered the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, but when the dish arrived, it looked very plain and unappetizing. The salmon was barely noticeable — definitely not the usual pink slices you'd expect. Instead, it was homemade smoked salmon, scraped off the skin (which was still attached), and the chef didn’t mention how it was smoked (in a smoker or just in the oven). These methods produce very different taste and texture, and unfortunately, this one didn’t impress. There was hardly any salmon on the plate, which made the dish even more disappointing. The waitress seemed unfamiliar with the food and couldn’t answer basic questions. About five minutes later, a chef came out to explain how they prepare the salmon, but even then, he didn’t clarify the method. By that time, the food had gone cold and I had lost interest. If you're doing something different with a classic dish, you should inform customers upfront to avoid this kind of disappointment. The Big Breakfast was okay, but the mushrooms were underwhelming. We were seated near the window, which would have been fine — except the view was of an old fridge, which didn’t help the experience. Overall, between the food and service, I won't be returning. Three stars only because parts of the meal were passable.

We were some of the first people into the cafe in the morning, waited well over an hour for our food to arrive, just for it to be cold, bland and rubbery. Waitstaff are rude and no help. Manager too busy on the phone. Not coming here again
Allira T — Google review
Area picturesque but totally overwhelmed with Bin Chicken Ibis. We ate outside and had the birds land on our table plus the were on other tables where clients had left but tables not cleared of finished food plates. Birds eating off plates plus beaks in mugs. Disgusting disgusting but I think out of your control. Yuk! Service very very slow. We only ordered coffee and a milkshake. 35 minutes for coffee and 47 minutes for the milkshake. Shame but we will not return.
