Sunshine Plaza is the ultimate shopping and entertainment complex on the Sunshine Coast, featuring a vast array of shops, restaurants, and leisure activities. The recently opened new wing boasts big-name department stores like David Jones and BigW, while the waterfront promenade offers a picturesque setting for dining at waterside cafes. With over 200 shops connected by bridges over Cornmeal Creek, this sunlit indoor/outdoor mall is perfect for finding bargains or indulging in a shopping spree.
As the largest shopping center on the Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Plaza was bustling during my visit. While the layout can feel a bit maze-like for newcomers, there are so many interesting stores and a variety of food, drink, and restaurant options around every corner. There's truly a lot to see and do, with people, pets, food, drinks, and music creating a lively atmosphere. It's definitely a must-visit, especially to check out the TGIF and the paddle boats on the water!

I’ve been coming to this place since the early 90s with my family. It’s still amazing. Best place for shopping.

Got harassed and followed to my car by 2 security officers for taking a photo of the water where the restaurants are. I was filmed on their body cam and saw them noting down my rego as i was entering the car. I only took a photo to show my significant other because I’m from out of town. A lot of others were too but I was singled out. A respectful talk saying that photography wasnt allowed would have been better, but the way i was treated was like i was shoplifting or being a criminal. Wouldn’t recommend going here (Attached are the 3 “illegal” photos i took. Can’t believe that I was treated like this for these)

Im a man, I don’t love shopping. I have been in many countries around the 🌍 world. But sunshine plaza have something special, that’s why I spend lots of time here and I buy all what I need for home, for me and sometimes for my work in this amazing shopping centre. And my favourite thing about the plaza are this massage chairs haha Im addicted!!! 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Plaza! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Mauricio 🇮🇹🍀

Many shops around, we were looking for a place to eat and found Grill’d and Yochi for a well-deserved yoghurt dessert after our meal.
Jordan T — Google review
I’m not usually someone who enjoys shopping, but Sunshine Plaza has completely changed that for me. The atmosphere is so open, vibrant, and relaxed that it never feels like your typical crowded shopping centre. The beautiful river running through the middle, the lush greenery, and the breezy layout make it feel more like a resort than a mall. There’s an amazing mix of shops and plenty of quiet corners to sit, relax, or grab a coffee with a view. The centre is spotless, well laid out, and the staff are always friendly. Parking is easy, and there are great entertainment options like the cinema and paddle boats — perfect for a chill day out. Even as someone who usually dreads shopping trips, I actually look forward to coming here. Sunshine Plaza is a gem on the Sunshine Coast!

Sunshine plaza paws Park is a very good idea BUT it needs activities for the puppy's. Some shade areas also for the hot days and a sprinkler feature for them to play just some ideas for you from my puppy dog LuLu ( unofficial mascot of plaza )

A fabulous family friendly shopping, entertainment, food and beverage destination. A massive variety of large and small independent stores and eateries, offering everything you could possibly want. Lots of parking (first 3 hours are free). There are cinemas; boat rides for the children on the internal/external canal/river. Loads of restaurants / cafes, popular pop up's, for every desired taste, with food from around the world and several are licensed venues. Enjoy a couple of hours, or the whole day. The centre has a number of toilets placed at various levels, which are clean and well maintained. There are multiple escalators and lifts well positioned. An information booth for any queries.

Event venue
Maroochy RSL, located on Memorial Ave in Maroochydore, is a popular dining and entertainment destination offering a spacious bistro serving pizza, burgers, salads, and a dessert trolley. The club provides free live music entertainment catering to mature audiences with various themed music nights throughout the week. Additionally, it features modern design and layout with convenient amenities such as undercover parking and easy access to conference facilities.
Highly rate this RSL . Huge venue! Designated areas for pokies, casual dining and formal dining. Staff from driver, reception desk to staff working in eatery and bar areas are all very helpful, friendly and offer exceptional service. Meals are big and delicious. All facilities are clean and tidy. Free courtesy bus runs regularly. Will definitely visit again.

Out here for audits and looking to meet vendors selling their healthcare businesses! Peak! Trivia night was awesome! Enjoyed our evening dinners at the RSL. Modern and a menu that was filling! Large serving at a very good price point. Always walked across the river into the mall after a meal to enjoy the calm sunsets and ambience.

The kids’ playground at Maroochy RSL is pretty good and definitely a big plus for families. It keeps the little ones entertained while you can relax, which makes it a great spot for an easy night out. For an RSL, it does the job well — clean, family-friendly, and welcoming. As for the food, it’s about what you’d expect from most RSLs — decent meals at fair prices, nothing over the top, but still enjoyable. It’s the kind of place you go for a casual dinner where you know exactly what you’re going to get. Overall, a solid four-star experience, mainly thanks to the playground and family-friendly setup.

Orléans Restaurant and Bar offers a stylish setting for contemporary American cuisine with a French twist, providing a relaxed environment to enjoy an amazing menu inspired by New Orleans cuisine. The restaurant features candlelit dining on Thursday nights and live music on Fridays, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The bar complements the dining experience with soulful New Orleans-style cocktails, such as the Whistlin Dixie, preparing your taste buds for the transition from bar to restaurant.
We had the Chef’s Shared Four Course Tasting Menu at Orléans and wow – what an experience! Chef Vini was amazing, explaining each dish and giving us such great attention. Every course was packed with flavour and totally different from anything we’ve had before. The Honey & Thyme Baked Goats Cheese, the Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles and the duck were next-level – you have to try them! The vibe was so welcoming, the atmosphere had such a great energy, and the staff were all super friendly. Honestly, can’t wait to go back!

The staff here are amazing, especially the lady behind the bar last night. Her service stood out the most it made my partner and I’s night for sure. The food was delicious and the timing between means was perfect. Other places we have been the timing has been so off and you are sitting there waiting for meals between each coarse Will definitely be back. Make sure to order the honey thyme goats cheese as a starter. Thank you for dinner we will definitely be back.

The restaurant is amazing when you first walk in, the vibe and the decor is amazing. The lady that served us was the most amazing and lovely lady. She was happy, helpful, polite and very prompt. The food was put together so well. The chef and kitchen staff did an amazing job at pairing flavours and creating some delicious food. Highly recommend for a date night.

A great boujee vibe. Service was great - prompt and friendly. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented. The time it must have taken to layer that ratatouille! And the drinks were on point too. Tried one of their cocktails...a coffee foam and cardamon mix that was a delightful sensory experience for my eyes, nose and my tastebuds. We'll definitely be back. Topped it all off with the decadence of a gluten free chocolate cheesecake with pistachio ice cream and macadamia crumble! 🤤🤤🤤

Absolutely outstanding experience at Orleans Restaurant on the Sunshine Coast! From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and provided truly exceptional service. Every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and felt like a mix of modern fine dining with a relaxed coastal vibe. The atmosphere was vibrant yet intimate, making it the perfect date night spot or a place to celebrate special occasions. The cocktails were incredible, the menu was creative, and you could really taste the quality and passion in every bite. If you’re looking for the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast for romantic dining, amazing cocktails, or a hidden gem with world-class food and service, Orleans is an absolute must. We can’t wait to come back!

My partner and I came here a few nights ago and could only be seated at the bar as we didn’t have a booking. Turns out the bar is the best seat in the house because we had an incredible experience! The food was absolutely amazing! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. However, what truly made the night, was the service from Yasmeen. They were so knowledgeable about both the food and the wines, attentive without ever being intrusive, and kept us engaged and entertained throughout the evening. Their recommendations were spot on and added so much to our overall experience. Highly recommend - we’ll definitely be back!

Park
Cotton Tree Holiday Park is a prime urban camping spot with direct access to Maroochy River and Maroochydore Beach. It's perfect for leisurely strolls to the main street for ice cream or dining at local restaurants. The park's location allows visitors to rent ecoTekk electric bikes and explore the Sunshine Coast coastal pathway. Nestled between the river and Pin Cushion, it offers a spectacular setting for enjoying sundowners with friends.
We stayed at Cotton Tree Holiday Park on a powered site near the waterfront, and it was the perfect spot for us. We arrived just in time for sunset and couldn’t have asked for a better view. The whole park felt peaceful and not overcrowded, which made it even more enjoyable. Every facility was spotless — bathrooms, kitchens, and shared areas were all exceptionally clean and well-kept. I absolutely loved the PIN access for the bathrooms; it made me feel safe and secure, especially when heading there at night. Having direct access to the waterfront was a real treat, and we enjoyed relaxing in the sand just steps from our site. The park is also in an ideal location with restaurants, cafés, and the town all within close reach. Highly recommend Cotton Tree Holiday Park for anyone looking for a clean, secure, and perfectly located stay by the water.

A Beautiful Spot, But Disappointing Service Cotton Tree has always been one of our favourite places to stay. The location is absolutely stunning, and we've made so many great memories here over the years. Unfortunately, since the change in ownership, we've experienced a significant decline in communication and customer service, which has been confusing, frustrating and at times, quite rude. I don’t normally leave negative reviews, as I understand how impactful they can be. But I truly hope this feedback encourages the current owners and staff to improve their communication and organisation. Cotton Tree is a special place and I’d love nothing more than to enjoy our holidays there again without the stress. We had planned, as we do every year, to camp at Cotton Tree during the September school holidays. However yesterday we received an email notifying us that our booking had been cancelled and refunded due to works being carried out in that area of the grounds. What’s more disappointing is that we were told not to call, as there would be no opportunity to secure an alternative spot. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the lack of notice and unwillingness to assist us, especially given the issues with communication over the past couple of years, makes this particularly disheartening. It now leaves our family and friends scrambling to find a suitable camping spot during one of the busiest times of the year. I genuinely hope Cotton Tree can turn things around. It’s such a beautiful destination and it would be a real shame to see it lose the community’s trust due to poor service.
Becky M — Google review
Can't really tell you much about this place as we decided not to stay. But we did look around and what we did see is this. The location is beautiful of course as it is right on the beach. The office staff very helpful and friendly. The park was fully booked except for one slab we saw that was right alongside the entrance driveway, so not great. More of a car park spot than a holiday spot. In fact most of the camping spots we saw were really small and everyone packed really tightly in side by side with no real privacy. I reckon you could easily hear your neighbours snore at night. We have been to lots of caravan parks, and this is one we will probably never choose because $80 a night is way too much for a plot size that would be the absolute minimum. Even for the very experienced, fitting a caravan into allocated spot would be almost impossible if the others were full around you. Did not check the shower blocks and laundry eymtc but no reason to think they would be bad. The park clean and tidy and well kept.
Merrily W — Google review
We camped close to the beach and it was awesome to hear the waves all night. Great park, very clean, no mosquitoes or sandflies where we camped in the tent sites. The amenities were always clean, great hot showers with plenty of water pressure. We went during the week and it was great, fairly quiet and lots of room. Will definitely come back again, we had a great time.
Sandy S — Google review
Just spent another amazing 8 weeks at this amazing park in our van and lived every minute. Office staff couldnt be more helpful and always professional and polite and also like to mention the ground staff especially Reece and Brian who always had time for a hello and sometimes a quick chat. We have been coming to this park for many many years and will continue to do so. Thank you cotton tree.
Donna M — Google review
Pos:Beautiful spot on Cotton Tree beach, cyrstal clear calm waterways great for kids! Views and sunsets are one of the best on this coastline. Unfortunatley was $80 for an out of season non powerd stand! And after taking the money they never left a late checkin entry, so could not get in after 5pm.
Neill M — Google review
Absolutely love our time there, the location is perfect for little humans, amenities are great etc. Left a bit sour after we were charged extra for leaving a little later due to having to rudimentary wash our set up (our campsite was under a tree which hosted many many bush turkeys overnight (100+ poop to clean). Would recommend the host not renting that site (40) to the public while the turkey are residing there overnight. Or at least give a warning.
Catherine R — Google review
$80 dollars a night for a site is equal to $560 a week. For a tiny space. The location is amazing, but the facilities and service do not reflect the price at all... Also, as if $80 were not enough, they charge you extra for late check-ins ...

Located on the beautiful surf beach at Cotton Tree, Maroochy Surf Club is a popular spot offering a delightful dining experience. Whether you're there for breakfast, morning tea, or lunch, the club provides stunning views of the beach and an opportunity to watch the Maroochydore Cygnets nipper lifesavers in action. The menu features a variety of options including share plates, entrees, mains, and desserts suitable for all tastes and budgets.
Brunch lunch with a view❣️ Spectacular! Beach was too windy so watching the ocean while feasting on delicious meals. Mariner schnitzel $30 & 2 fisherman's baskets @ $34 - delicious. $5 membership for the year gives discounts on drinks & meals etc - cheap as chips. Views amazing & sheltered from the elements. Close & walking distance to so many sights on that part of Maroochy & Cotton tree. Highly recommended.

It's a Surf Club. Awesome views if seated along the window. High volume output with a medium sized menu, offering a good range of choices plus a chef's special board. Atmosphere is typical Club vibe with views overlooking the surf 🏄‍♂️ below and vast views of the ocean as far as the eye can see 👀. Presentation of food is above average 👏 for a fast paced, volume environment. Prices $ were reasonable. Portion size was generous. Overall taste was good. Deserts are not worth getting as they are bought in, pre portioned and not fresh. We actually sent one back. Advice: Pay the $5 and become a member to save $2 for each item you order.

We used the Maroochy surf club for our wedding. It was easily the best decision we made. Out of all the people we dealt with for our wedding, Amy was by far the most professional and helpful. She always responded to our emails quickly, allowed us times to visit and try out styling, have dance practice, etc. We had a day wedding, so got to enjoy an amazing background to our wedding. We only had 40 people and the room was well set out that it didn't feel empty. I think this room works for small and large weddings. I strongly recommend using Maroochy surf club for any event you might be thinking.

Went for a swim at the famous Maroochydore beach, my sisters local swimming spot, fantastic, plenty of shade, patrolled surf. Access to the club to have a cuppa, beer n chips n still be able to watch those in the surf still. Great afternoon out.

Beautiful view. It’s a shame the food was terrible. Overpriced and lacked any kind of flavour. We ordered the cheesy garlic bread, cheesy garlic grilled chicken wrap, fish and chips and the three amigos pizza. The pizza was probably the only meal that came close to being worth the amount we paid. Overall extremely disappointed, I’ve had better quality meals at a fraction of the price.

Great little spot right on the beach with extensive views & seating to suit this. I had the Fisherman’s Catch. The oysters were fantastic. King Prawns were good size & fresh. As was the salad. Fish & chips slightly overcooked but Calamari spot on. Overall a good sized portion. Not too big & not too skimpy. I love a good surf club & Maroochy ticks all the boxes.

Ocean Ended at Platinum offers a memorable dining experience in Maroochydore, with its gold-star service, coastal cuisine, and stunning views of the Maroochy River. The restaurant serves seasonal and locally-caught seafood, providing a diverse menu that showcases the region's flavors. Guests can enjoy a friendly and elegant atmosphere while watching various water activities on the river. The fine dining establishment presents beautifully plated dishes with exceptional taste.
The setting being open to the river and the ocean beyond sets the scene nicely. The waiting staff were good and allowed just about the correct amount of time between courses. The food though is exceptional. Went with two locals who had this on their bucket list. Can not fault the presentation or timing of getting food to the table. Just hope the photos do justice to the experience. Would recommend to anyone who wants a great meal. And unusually, so I understand they have their own wash room facilities.

Went here for Sunday lunch last week with a small group and had a wonderful experience. The service was second to none and waitstaff could not do enough to keep us happy. At no time did we feel rushed to finish our meals and leave even though it got quite busy. The atmosphere was relaxing as you would expect from a fine dining restaurant and the view of the river out to the ocean was lovely. We started off with a couple of cocktails and NGL the Sunshine Passion is to die for. For entreé we ordered the prawn and crab croquettes, pork belly, bresaola and a half dozen oysters which were all perfectly cooked and presented. For mains, The chef’s seafood plate (slow cooked octopus finished on the grill) got 5 stars as did the barramundi fillet which was cooked to perfection. The only disappointment was the scotch fillet which unfortunately was a thin cut with some gristle making it tougher than it should have been. Finally, dessert was ordered and once again all were delicious! The tiramisu was a surprising twist on a traditional favourite. By the time we finished we were all much fuller than expected as the serving size for all meals was quite a bit larger than the menu alludes to. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Ocean Ended and the price per person for all food and drinks was really good value.

What a beautiful experience from the time we walked in to the time we left. Venue was lovely and clean, with white table cloths on each table, we were greeted when we arrived and shown to our table, very impressed my chair was pulled out for me. The waitress was lovely she helped us with our choices and checked in on us during our meal. My partner and I ordered the beef eye fillet - this was cooked to perfection and the best we have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant, we were there on the Saturday night and wanted to go again on the Monday but sadly they were closed.

Dinner last night. It was superb. The quality of ingredients, service, and food was 5 * If we were local it would be our go to place. Even our children loved the mocktails and food. Great place for all occasions. We will definitely visit again when back in Maroochydore. Support these quality places and you won’t be disappointed. For a fine dining restaurant, the portion sizes were great. The vegetarian choices were also amazing. The photos below are the chefs seafood plate starter- Scollop with pea purée, salmon with crouton’s and fresh calamari. The vegetarian starter, the chicken Ballantine starter and the seafood risotto Main.

Delicious food. The staff were lovely and really friendly. We got the dinner special (olives and feta, salmon tartare, fish of day and crab linguine, crumble, brulee) all really fresh, tasty and filling. Good value for money and good food. Eating beside the water was lovely and the drinks we had were quite nice. We definitely visit again. I really liked the decor and the fresh rose was a lovely touch. Made dinner really special.

Beach Street Deli, located across from the Maroochydore SLSC, is a great spot to grab a coffee or enjoy a meal. The cafe offers morning options like bacon & eggs and serves dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Visitors praise the tasty food, generous portions, and friendly service. The inclusive staff accommodated a group of adults living with disabilities by offering freshly baked treats and finding suitable alternatives for those with dietary restrictions.
The coffee here is good. Adjacent to the surf club and the beach, this cafe is a great place for a coffee catch up or a relaxed breakfast. It has a relaxed vibe with its funky, colourful, retro decor. It isn’t just about the food, but also the experience.

The staffs are friendly. We had one chai latte, one dirt chai and one ginger boost. All drinks are on the too sweet side for us. Maybe it's good for some people. The location is great, just in front of the ocean, got street parking We had three big breakfasts and one something different. We all hope more green on the plate. We kind of get one spinach on each plate. Whole plate looks brown. My Sunnyside up's egg white still transparent, could be done a little more. My friend's plate has a hair/ thick eyebrow thing, she found out in the end of her meal. It was under food. She didn't want to bother because it's almost finished...

Relaxed, charming, friendly service. Food was very tasty. Fresh orange juice was delicious. Pleasant atmosphere across the street from the beach.

Totally underrated. Had two very tasty breakfasts, with juice and coffee between two. Service was attentive and quick. Nice spot with views to the ocean and clean and tidy. Price was fair.
Martin B — Google review
A bit pricey for what you get but the coffee is good and you can customise your own juice. Not really on the beach but has a slight view and the breeze was appreciated on this very hot and steamy morning. Felt like the furniture could be cleaner, but the atmosphere is still pretty appropriate for the location.

We are visiting from NZ and wanted to find a local place for brunch. This didn't disappoint The good was excellent and the vibe of this busy cafe was cool. Other patrons looked like locals which is a great indicator of a good spot We highly recommend

Chinese restaurant
Nestled along the scenic riverwalk of Sunshine Plaza, Yum Cha Sunshine Plaza is a vibrant haven for those seeking a delightful yum cha experience. Perfect for weekend gatherings or leisurely lunches with friends and family, this spacious venue caters to larger groups effortlessly. The extensive menu presents an exciting challenge as you navigate through an array of delectable dishes that are sure to please any palate.
This was my first time eating at Yum Cha Sunshine Plaza, and I quite enjoyed the food. We ordered the salted custard buns, sticky rice chicken in bamboo leaves, and chicken wrap in lettuce. The salted custard buns and sticky rice chicken were delicious. I can never say no to the runny filling of a custard bun. The chicken wrap in lettuce was quite salty, and I would not order it again. The staff welcomed us warmly upon arrival. However, we asked for table water twice but were left unattended.
Zhenxin Y — Google review
The interesting thing about this restaurant is that they serve yum cha for dinner, which is rare. The uninteresting fact is that the food and customer service is ordinary here and one of the worst yum cha I've had. The dumplings, steamed rice were all a bit soggy from oversteaming and didn't taste fresh. It is consistent with all their dishes that their yumcha isn't as good as the metropolitan restaurants. When the waiter was collecting our plates he spilled the squid dish but didn't bother cleaning up either so that reduces the customer service ratings. They don't serve tea by default and you actually have to request for it too. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you have strong cravings for yumcha and can't wait to return to Brisbane (or another big city). Regards @fooderarri

The place was disappointing. The lighting was so dim it felt unwelcoming. The shrimp dumplings were not fresh—even the replacement basket was bitter and the wrapper smelled off. The wonton soup came with just two clumped wontons, and the fried rice noodles tasted old and soggy. Definitely not worth it. the food lived up to the poor reviews on Google.
Farrah F — Google review
I’ve eaten some good Yum Chas around Taiwan and China, this is 2/10. While the dumplings were good, the rest was very mediocre. We have a piece of paper as a table cloth, something I’d expect in a side alley eatery in Shanghai. The stir fried vegetables, was boiled, with an enormous amount of uncooked Oyster sauce dumped on top. The steamed Pork Ribs, is not Pork Ribs, it’s off cuts of the Pork Ribs.
Eugene L — Google review
One of the worst Char Siew Roast pork we ever tasted . It is like meat soak in honey sauce . Nothing like the real thing . The sticky rice is also below par. The rest of dishes like Salted eggs custard buns , fried turnip cake , beef brisket and pork ribs in black beans are acceptable but not fantastic.
Ang A — Google review
Terrible experience. Waitress took our order but forgot to place it into the kitchen. Sat waiting for over 30 minutes & chased them up to be told the waitress was in training and forgot. Rushed the food to send it out. The food wasn’t nice when it did come out then to top it all off the staff stood behind the counter watching us eat! Asked for a discount and a very small one was offered. Please do NOT eat here. Overpriced, they watch you eat, they stand around half the time doing no work. Better options in the plaza. Save your money.
Hazel — Google review
Sadly not very authentic or tasty. Prices are steep for such quality. Saying that there were a few good dishes amongst the ones we ordered - the salty egg custard baos were delicious. The sticky rice wrapped in leaves were good as well - authentic.
Leen K — Google review
Had to give a three star review due to the fact that they tried to pass on a refrigerated ice cream as a fried ice cream and said that how it’s made. We have eaten a few fried ice creams before and never had this experience… the main food on the other hand was tasty. The cocktails are okay.. not great. Also expensive for the experience and the food. Was disappointed after coming here reading some positive reviews.

The Boat Shed & The Boat Shed Takeaway offer a stunning panoramic view of the Maroochy River, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely meal or special occasion. The modern Australian menu features creative mains, tapas, and desserts, with options like fresh oysters with pomelo and mint or kangaroo loin with red wine braised cabbage. For a more casual experience, visitors can grab fish and chips from the takeaway window and enjoy a picnic in the park while watching the sunset.
One of the best Fish & Chip locations on the Coast. Location is stunning on a sunny day. Eat in the restaurant or take away and relax on the outdoor fringe with stunning views and lovely vibes. This particular day, there was live music 🎶 happening in the outdoor section of the restaurant so we got to enjoy that as a bonus. See the pics 📸 and watch the video 📹 below for what I am writing about. Highly recommend this place.

Did a birthday celebration in the main restaurant - food was good and service was ok. We went on a Friday for an early dinner and unfortunately it was so loud with the outdoor DJ and many people drinking along the front it is not the ideal place to have relaxing dinner. Would be better to go later in the evening and hope the rowdiness has calmed down but I can’t confirm. We were seated right next to the water which was nice but many people are sitting right next to you drinking which gives more a PUB vibe. The lights get really dark after 6pm so hard to see the menu or the food. Someone also smashed a beer glass at the front of the restaurant where people were drinking and it took awhile for staff to clear. Food was enjoyable and the dessert was delicious. Would not go back however.

What a lovely day out! We came across this by accident because we were looking for a last minute feed only to come across this at the back of the cotton tree car park! Right on the water it is a beautiful and relaxing place coupled with beautiful food, it was a great place to find, and have been back since. Great food, great service and an amazing beach view.

Had a wonderful lunch here today, good menu options (not too many), the food arrived promptly which was surprising given the number of patrons. It was delicious. There was one mix up, there was no argument & it surprised me how quickly the correct meal came out. Delicious food & wine, great company & a magnificent vista. Thanks for making it so enjoyable.

I arrived at the restaurant and was waiting to be acknowledged by a staff member. A waitress walked right past me twice, completely ignoring my presence.I eventually approached her to ask for a table and how the ordering worked. She answered, "We are fully booked, only tapas outside." Without any sympathy, she handed me the tapas menu and walked away. She didn't ask how many people were in my party or what time I wanted to eat. There was no attempt to accommodate me, just a dry, careless service. It's a real shame, as the restaurant was completely empty, and I only wanted a quick lunch for one person, which would have been easily possible. I understand when a place is genuinely busy, but in this case, her lack of effort was completely unwarranted.

Visitors can walk through an 80-meter ocean tunnel and observe sharks, rays, and fish swimming overhead. The aquarium offers educational programs for kids and the opportunity to hold sea stars.
Visited here on a Sunday. There was no wait. Time to get in. It was quite good. Arrived. Just in time to see the seal show which was quite informative and fun to watch good size little aquarium. Take the kids walk around. Sharks manta rays seahorses etc had a great day. Staff friendly Would recommend.

Awesome Aquarium, very focused on wildlife knowledge and how to care for the environment. Our son loved it, and was frothing from start to finish. The seal show was awesome, and loved the tunnels with sharks, days and fish. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and very well priced experience. Book online early to get discount tickets but either way is a great day out for the family

Great experience at the aquarium! We saw all of the displays, heard a talk about the penguins 🐧 & saw a seal show! As two students the tickets were affordable and the experience was worth while! Not sure how great the venue would be for repeat visits but it was an excellent and highly recommended spot for a day trip while in Moolooaba. The seal shows were at 10:30 and 12:30 from memory, this may vary day to day. Lovely staff and good vibes all around:)

Absolutely adore coming here! I finally managed to go for the amazing animal crossing event and it was better than I imagined! I thoroughly enjoyed the little stamp ralley and best of all, meeting Isabelle! It was genuinely one of the sweetest things ever and I gave her a drawing as a gift and token of my appreciation! Your staff were also fantastic today, big shoutout to Tiffany who we had a lovely chat to for ages and I think Ruth who was with Isabelle! You guys made this experience so amazing and I love what you do! 💜

The admission prices are reasonable. But if you book days in advance they are cheaper. We paid an extra $15 per person for the Behind-the-Scenes Tour I loved seeing all the animals. There was an adorable baby penguin and a fun hands-on section where we got to touch some marine life. Walking through the underwater tunnels was definitely a highlight, it felt like being surrounded by the ocean — though it was crowded at times. The Behind-the-Scenes Tour was a great experience. We saw how they house for injured animals and protect local marine life. There were three green sea turtles recovering, and we got to look down into the big pool above the tunnels — seeing the sharks and other animals swimming below was amazing. The seal show was light-hearted and fun, especially Ruby, a playful five-year-old seal. She was absolutely adorable! In total, we saw three seals during the show. The café, which had some food options — mainly small snacks and pies. So, don’t expect a full meal there. The only downside was, the Behind-the-Scenes Tour felt a little short, and unfortunately, no photos or videos were allowed during it. A wonderful experience and perfect would definitely come back again!!

Was here 20 years ago as a kid, now back again as an adult. Still as incredible as ever! That said I miss the 2006 Jeep Fishtank. In where the engine was the filter system. Pretty mad lol.

2nd time visiting in 7 years, both times just me and my husband. We enjoyed it just as much this time as we did the first. They have some shows during the day so if you are into these, be sure to check the schedule. If you aren't, and you like it a little less busy, then go when everyone is at the show, its a lot quieter.

Most excellent experience. Marvellous guides (Lucy and Alice). Lovely animals. Interesting and educational facility. Did the behind the scenes tour with Seals, Penguins, and Sea Turtles. Very interactive. Also very interesting to hear and see how the programs are put together and animals cared for.

Very picturesque park situated on the banks of Maroochy river. Has a variety of swings and playground for the kids and bbq facilities. Also has the war memorial which is very nice. Toilets and undercover picnic tables and bbq. There is also a public jetty available. The area can be quite busy on weekends so parking can be difficult. Play areas are not fenced off so watch little ones near the water and busy road. Close to cafes as well.

Stunning location with a beautiful waterfall at the end of the walk that you can swim under or walk behind. There are a few rocks to climb over and up which an be a little slippery, so moderate fitness and agility recommended. However, my two kids scaled it all like mountain goats! A great morning activity!

I came from the boardwalk at Harry’s Hut end. It was a lovely flat walk, crisscrossing the water and in the shade. Right at the end it gets rocky and is not suited for everyone. It’s only a short bit that’s slippery, but if you can’t make the rocks safely, you won’t reach the falls coming from the way I did. The boardwalk is nice on its own, so definitely try Harry’s Hut entrance.

Buderim Falls, also known as Serenity Falls, is a breathtaking natural gem nestled in the heart of Buderim Forest Park on the Sunshine Coast. This picturesque waterfall and its surrounding tranquil rock pools and sub-tropical rainforest are a must-visit destination for nature lovers and photographers. *Key Highlights:* - *Scenic Waterfall*: The waterfall flows year-round, but it's particularly spectacular after rainfall, transforming into a strong cascade of water down the rock face into the shallow pool below. - *Swimming Hole*: The natural waterhole is perfect for cooling off, but be cautious of strong currents and submerged rocks. - *Walking Trails*: The 0.8km circuit trail is suitable for all fitness levels, with a 700m elevated wooden boardwalk section that's wheelchair and pram-friendly. - *Picnic Areas*: Enjoy a meal with family and friends at the picnic tables and barbecue facilities near the car park. - *Wildlife and Birdlife*: Keep an eye out for native birds, such as whipbirds and catbirds, and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. *Tips and Essentials:* - *Best Time to Visit*: Visit early in the morning or on a weekday to avoid crowds. - *Getting There*: The falls are located about 15 minutes' drive from Mooloolaba, with two entry points: the lower entry via Harry's Lane and the upper entry point at Quorn Close. - *Facilities*: Toilets, picnic tables, and barbecue facilities are available at both entry points. - *Safety*: Be mindful of slippery rocks and strong currents in the waterhole. *Rating:* Overall, Buderim Falls is a 4.7-star experience, offering stunning natural beauty, scenic walking trails, and a perfect spot for relaxation. With its picturesque setting and tranquil atmosphere, it's an ideal destination for families, couples, and nature enthusiasts.

The walk through the State Forest was absolutely lovely — so lush, tropical, and full of beautiful scenery. The views are stunning, and the track itself is really enjoyable both there and back. It’s definitely doable, though you’ll want to be at least a little bit fit for some of the inclines. Overall, a gorgeous walk and one I’d highly recommend. 🌿✨

Good little walk. You can get to the main waterfall in less than 5 min from this entrance. We came in July, but this should be a treat in the summer with all the shade and rock pools. Worth a visit!
Luis H — Google review
A very nice and quiet place (easy to hear the waterfall from a distance) that has plenty of trees and an even nicer waterfall cascading down over a large rock into the rock pool below. Quite a fair bit of ascending & descending over man-made steps & natural rocks that needs to be done to reach the waterfall, and the bridge is a little wobbly. Will be back.

The market itself is great, fresh food and friendly stallholders. Unfortunately, the car park is like entering a Hunger Games arena, run by self-appointed traffic wardens in hi-vis. I know they’re volunteers, not paid staff, but wow… one in particular carried on like he’d rather be anywhere else. Honestly, if you hate it that much, have a Sunday sleep-in and let the rest of us park without the attitude. Nothing says “community spirit” quite like being barked at before you’ve even made it to the first stall.

The Prickly Pinata Fresh Mexican Cantina is a vibrant dining destination that perfectly captures the essence of fresh and healthy Mexican cuisine. With its inviting atmosphere, this restaurant is ideal for both lunch and dinner, offering stunning views that enhance your dining experience. The charming decor features pastel-colored walls adorned with sugar skulls and cacti, creating a relaxed beach vibe. Guests rave about their experiences here, whether celebrating special occasions or enjoying casual meals with friends.
What a lovely place! Walked in on a whim and was seen to immediately. The staff were lovely, especially the lady in the pink top behind the bar. Had the pulled beef tacos with a side of home made hot sauce and a coconut margarita. All came out quick. The tacos weren't overloaded with crap to pezazz them up but were so tastey. The home made hot sauce is full of flavour woth an amazing kick and the margarita was spicey, tangy with a hint of creaminess. Looks like I'll be putting on some weight while in town
Alubane — Google review
2 bites & binned it! Disgusting! No flavour! 3 different dishes, all foul. Nachos was spat out as the flavour of the pulled beef was unrecognisable. $4 for guacamole side, see pictures....your kidding. How can anyone call this edible. Absolute crap.
Frankie M — Google review
Was concerned going in as I seen lots of reviews describing it to be bland and tasteless, as I have experienced this before with another Mexican restaurant and didn’t want to be let down. We got the Birria beef tacos (broth was rich and spiced well), chicken enchiladas (also spiced well) with a side of guac and jalapeño poppers (average but good). All were flavoursome & I walked away pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and friendly & open to discuss our experience. Their home made hot sauce was lovely - actually had spice and was really well balanced.
Sophie W — Google review
They ran out of chips 🤦🏼‍♂️ and jalapeño poppers. The service is nonexistent! 25 minutes before they even asked what drinks we wanted. Food was okay not spectacular just okay. Birria tacos were just beef cheese and onion.

Great fresh Mexican food. Variety of choices on the menu. We expected to feel very full and were surprised at the lightness and freshness of the food. The cocktails were really great! My favourite dish was the coconut garlic prawn tacos ....

Thanks to Elise and her team at Prickly's for making my 50th a very special evening. My family of 30 were impressed with the authenticity of the Mexican dishes, the delicious mocktails and cocktails and the personalised service where Elise ensured everyone's needs were met. We've celebrated numerous special occasions here for all these reasons and the assurance that our coeliac family members can enjoy any of the starters and most of the mains. We highly recommend the warm cheese dip, spiced fried calamari, beef brisket tacos or the marinated chicken tacos. Thank you team!

Tried the prickly pinata for the first time on Friday. It was reasonably busy when we arrived. Had not reserved a table. Waited a while and I had to ask staff to be seated, then ask to be served, and later check on our meals after waiting an hour. We were given a free soft drink, which was appreciated, but only soft drinks were offered. We also had to ask for cutlery. The server who looked after us was genuinely lovely and did her best. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting about 1 hour and 30 minutes for our meals. The atmosphere wasn’t very relaxing, with kids playing loudly on the stairs, though I know that’s not really the restaurant’s fault. The food itself was reasonable once it arrived.

So DISAPPOINTED TODAY! We have been here several times and have had takeaway a lot when we used to holiday in cotton tree. We are permanently living here now. Today we had tacos beef and fish both terrible the fish had the taste of old oil and the beef was tough and cold when we got it. The chips were not bad. The service was very slow considering 2 tables one of 4 and ours of 5. We had to ask for more drinks we had to ask if we could order. 2 floor staff very slow not real friendly we weren’t at all impressed today. The bill for 5 of us was around $200 a little excessive the tacos are very skimpy with meat and filling tomato & rocket that’s about it. It’s also really sad to see the replies to the negative reviews people DONT give negative reviews if they enjoyed there meal and are happy with the outing. Sadly we won’t be back or refer anyone to visit here it’s simply not worth it any way. Disappointed that’s for sure!

Asian restaurant
Rice Boi is a laid-back restaurant located by the harbor, offering a trendy atmosphere and serving Asian street food along with a cocktail bar. The venue features grunge decor, neon lights, and delectable Asian street food with water views. It's tucked behind large red barn-style doors and boasts an open kitchen for diners to observe their meals being prepared.
Even though it’s walk-in only, it’s definitely worth the wait! Hands down the best Asian cuisine I’ve had on the Sunshine Coast. The chefs are professional, the food is delicious and beautifully plated. Make sure you try the dry-aged roast duck pancakes — a must!

Beautiful place to sit and enjoy some gorgeous food by the water. 3 adults, 3 mains, all absolutely delicious. 10hr slow cooked beef curry, char siu pork, calamari. $88 great price for amazing food! Fast service, would highly recommend!

Mainly sharing plates. You can’t book a table so you could end up queuing to get in as it’s very popular. Food is super tasty and fresh. Friendly service. Only issue for us was that the plates didn’t come out at the same time and were staggered. We sat in the garden bar area which was great.

The vibes of this place are just amazing. The decoration takes you to some place in Asia and the flavours of the food as well. What I realised in the last year is that no one really cares about the service, they just bring the food and clean the tables and that’s all about. It became so busy that no one really cares about the good service experience. Will be great to have some service apart from nice food and restaurant. Because sometimes it just feels like a fast food restaurant

What a place ! Fantastic food, every single thing we ordered was just amazing. Not to mention with how busy it was the food came out in record time. Cocktails were also incredible. Don’t even get me started with the staff. Everyone was so extremely lovely even with so many people dining. A very special mention to Alannah, who just added the extra special touch of being incredibly accommodating due to my lack of mobility and with my crutches. Those little things are just what you remember and make a place so special. We appreciate you and your kindness. We will be back and 100% recommend!

Located at The Wharf Mooloolaba, this modern Asian street food venue offers a unique dining experience with stunning water views. *Ambiance:* The grungy, neon-lit interior and outdoor seating areas create a lively atmosphere, perfect for casual gatherings or special occasions. We arrived around 5.30 and this place was cracking, by the time we left an hour later there would have been minimum 50 people waiting outside. Very very popular. Food was fresh and delicious and considering the amount of orders being put through we had our meal in great time, very impressed. If you want a quiet dinner perhaps give it a miss because there's so much going on in a good way, but may not be for everyone looking for a quiet evening. We weren't aware until we lined up to order that there was a specials board right near the counter so we changed our order, would have been nice if it could be seen from the dining tables or was mentioned upon seating, just a suggestion. Great meal and glad we went.

Beef curry was 100/10 and the other dishes were good but not amazing. Prawn toast lacked flavour and so did the chicken bao. Cocktails were great.

Bar
The Beach Bar & Grill, located on the Mooloolaba Esplanade, offers a relaxed beachfront dining experience with regular acoustic music. On Tuesdays, guests can enjoy a budget-friendly deal of $22 for a 250g rump steak with chips and salad. The restaurant also features specials throughout the week including burgers and beer on Wednesdays, chicken parmy on Thursdays, and slow-cooked pork ribs with chicken wings on Fridays.
We ordered the Steak sandwich and the BLAT with added chicken breast from the lunchtime menu. They were good. They were very good. I thought for sure I’d only get through half of mine and give the rest to hubby but I got through at least 3/4 before begrudgingly admitting I was more than full. The steak was juicy and tender and not overcooked. The bun was soft and yummy. The bacon was perfect as well and all the salad ingredients were fresh and flavourful. Even the chips were delicious, crispy and hot. I did ask for some tomato sauce which they happily provided without charging which was unexpected and great service.

We ordered a takeaway of full bbq ribs with fries and twelve jamaican wings. The food taste amazing, and the servings are worth it for the price. The fries are crispy and the sauce are all good. The ribs has a missing slight crispiness as compared to what I tried on restaurant but the sauce completed it though. They served our order pretty quick. They might be packed during dinner so plan ahead. We finished it all, hence its five stars for us!

Had lunch there and ordered a steak sandwich. It was absolutely sensational. Best EVER. Slow cooked 12hrs rib fillet, super tender, full of flavour and beautiful soft fresh Turkish bread. The chips were amazing too. Chunky outside with a soft centre and perfect level of salt. Highly recommend.

Yeah it's alright. Nothing to write home about. Ordered the steak burger and yeah it's packed together with all the stuff you want on it. But biting into it just felt like a cheap clone of what a steak burger should be. It's not bad - just not great. And maybe it's the overly large dish it's all served on, but that serving of fries sure looked small. As for everything else - it's got a great location, a good vibe inside, decent views if you're at the window. For seating there was very limited low table availability. If you're not into sitting at the high tables on stools, you may be out of luck. Probably give it another shot the next time I'm up that way.

Tuesday dining.....Great local craft beer selection, $7 Schooners for happy hour and a 1/2, absolutely delicious!!! Came back later for the $26 steak and they nailed it! Steak cooked perfectly and the best crispy chips!!! Side salad was fresh and amazing. My choice is always Mushroom sauce and garlic sauce on the side.....I'd buy them by the bottle! 😋

Very happy with the steaks here! We had a group of animal-based/carnivores and most of us ordered steak and prawns with butter sauce - we were all very happy! Also great to know they don’t use seed oils (can cook in butter or olive oil!) woohoo! Thank you so much for catering to us. We will be back!!

The ads of the weekly special draw my attention. Tuesday steak night and Friday rib and wings look very good. We expected it should be good because it's easier for the chefs, but I was wrong. We ordered two serves of steak, and both of them were overcooked, with no flavour and super dry. We cancelled the booking on Friday after the meal. Disappointed.

The food was of generous portions. The product itself was exceptional, staff very accommodating, the quality of the meat ie roast pork, was exceptional, this is my second occasion of visiting these premisesa and have only nothing but praise for the kitchen with quality and presentation, ten dollar pints on Sundays is it very, very good deal

Modern Australian restaurant
Harry's On Buderim is a renowned fine dining restaurant located in the picturesque Buderim Forest Park on the Sunshine Coast. The restaurant is housed in a charming century-old homestead and offers modern Australian cuisine crafted by award-winning chef and owner Stuart Bell. The menu features seasonal dishes made with fresh, local produce sourced from nearby suppliers. Guests can enjoy their meals on the veranda, which provides stunning views of the rainforest and parklands.
This place really exceeded our expectations in every respect. The location, the ambience (including the soft French music), the attentiveness of the waiters (Dane & 'Hercule Poirot'), the food and presentation - and is there more? This place is 'fine dining' par excellence!! And I recommend a lovely amble up the 600m boardwalk plus another 200m to the little rock pool with waterfalls for a most refreshing dip afterwards... Now this is true living!!

What a great little place that gives you the next level in food and service. The prefect spot to tell anyone who is looking for somewhere “nice” to go. Can’t fault any meal we had. Lamb, steak and vegetarian all superb

I just wanted to leave a review about how wonderful our wedding reception at Harry’s on Buderim was. Peter and the excellent staff made the night flow effortlessly from the moment we arrived. The food was excellent (as always) and they had set the tables to the simple elegant look I wanted ( thanks to Peter who was only too happy to have meeting beforehand). It was a night I will never forget thank you for making it so special Tyler

We had the most amazing experience at Harry’s on Buderim. The food was absolutely impeccable every dish was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into everything. The service was fantastic too, friendly, attentive, and made us feel so well looked after without being over the top. The setting is lovely and romantic, making it the perfect spot for a date night. Honestly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had on the Sunshine Coast — we’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely divine! Octopus entree was the best we have had, sirloin steak just perfect and the parsnips were sweet, pork was well flavoured and staff were very friendly, professional and attentive. We are looking forward to eating here again.

Delightful restaurant in a lovely setting at the foothills of Buderim forest. This is a high end establishment, with high end prices. We dined in the 'Fire Room', in one section of the building which had a wonderful open fire. This room was fully booked with 14 people dining here on this occasion, and unfortunately we found it a bit noisy in such a small room. There are plenty of other options where to dine, such as out on the decking overlooking a grassed area with trees surrounding, but the open fire was quite cozy. We all enjoyed our meal - adequate selection to cater for most peoples taste. Plenty of waitresses, and excellent service. Good selection of fine wines, with huge mark-up prices, this seems to be the practice at 'fine dining' restaurants. Be aware that there is Weekend Surcharge of 10% as well at 1.6% Card Surcharge. I've never heard of a 'weekend surcharge' before. Harry's on Buderim is a unique restaurant, well worth a visit for that special occasion.

It was the best dining experience I've had on the Sunshine Coast! Large portions, full of flavour, divine wine 🍷 😋... and the dessert selections were top tier! Definitely will be back here!!!!

I’m not one to write negative reviews but I feel I should share my experience. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner earlier in the year and I haven’t been able to forget about our bad experience. I overheard the staff talking rudely about my partner and I because we called up earlier and asked if we could have a vegetarian option as apart of out courses. They originally agreed and said no problem but when we got there they said they can’t do it. They then decided they could but the staff along the balcony here talking about us saying “here we go, these two are making their own menu” “This will be good won’t it” sniggering, rolling their eyes and speaking in a rude and sarcastic tone. We could hear them because there were only 2 tables of people including us at this stage. We called in advance to check it was okay. If it wasn’t we would have been fine but they said no problem. Clearly not communicating with the chefs. The vegetarian option we were given was a disgusting mush of vegetables, chickpeas. Over spiced and no care put into it. Slopped on the plate because they were upset they had to do it. My partner and I both work in hospitality so understand and respect the work these people have to do. The rest of the food was good. But not amazing. The best thing was the small palate cleanser or sorbet. The waiters were cowboys, dumping other tables bottles of water on out table as they rushed past. Then collecting it later. Most bizarre, unprofessional dining experience I’ve ever had. We spent over $300 and were extremely embarrassed, uncomfortable and will never be back. I can see that people do have good experiences here but that wasn’t the case for us.
