The HMAS Sydney II Memorial in Geraldton is a significant tribute to the sailors lost at sea during World War II. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the city and the Indian Ocean, this memorial features an eternal flame, a stele, and a pool. It commemorates the Australian ship HMAS Sydney and the German cruiser Kormoran, displaying the names of hundreds of lost men.
Really moving place. The memorial is beautifully done and the view over Geraldton is awesome. Cool to learn the story behind it too. Peaceful spot—definitely worth stopping by if you're in town.
Athul A — Google review
Our visit to this memorial was made extra special by Trevor, the volunteer guide. His ability to add some moments of humour to this tragic tale was masterful and a very polished delivery. Having serve aboard HMAS SYDNEY III during the Vietnam War, I felt a deep connection with the loss of so many young Aussie sailors. RIP Mates.
Gary M — Google review
Beautiful memorial, located on Mt Scott overlooking Geraldton, a tribute to the sailors lost when HMAS Sydney II was sunk on 19 Nov 1941. The dome of silver souls was very pretty. The waiting woman and stele symbolising the bow were very meaningful along with the wall of rememberence for the 645 sailors. Would absolutely recommend visiting. Plenty of parking.
We C — Google review
Along with Saint Francis Xavier's Cathedral this was a clear highlight and stand out of things to do in Geraldton. There has been a lot of thought put into the design and the layout with concentric circles, domes spheres and a lot of symbolism in what has been chosen to represent each different part of the memorial. I came here twice, once in the afternoon and the following day at sunrise. The area is kept clean, there are toilets nearby and it is a great place to come and reflect as well as a great place to take photos. There are informational plaques, the dome of souls made up of 645 seagull figures that represent the lives lost in the sinking of the HMAS Sydney two, there is a circle of remembrance, a stele monument with the Australian flag on top, a centrepiece with a replica ships propeller and other fine details to walk around and learn about. The Browne Town.
Stephen B — Google review
What a beautiful acknowledgement to the crew members of the fateful warship. Set upon the hill overlooking the ocean. The most poignant piece was of a forlorn woman looking out over the sea watching & waiting for her loved one to return. That & the names of those who didn’t return home. Thank you.
Di H — Google review
I proposed to my girlfriend of four years at this perfect spot when the sun was setting. Stunning landscape view overseeing Geraldton.
ExDee — Google review
The circle of life and death is embodied in this Memorial. Well appointed, considered and maintained, the memorial's many elements speak to soul. If you spend the time to take in the surrounds, and read the plaques, it makes for a poignant and moving experience.
Anne F — Google review
We joined the 1030am tour and were very surprised how much back story was shared along with recognising the seafarers and others lost in the sinking of the Sydney. The memorial itself is a must-see both during the day, at sunset, and after dark to fully appreciate the time thought put into the site.

Supermarket
Coles Geraldton is a bustling supermarket that truly caters to all your daily needs, conveniently located in the heart of the city. With an extensive selection of groceries at competitive prices, it’s a one-stop shop for everything you might require. The dedicated staff are known for their kindness and helpfulness, making every visit pleasant. However, during peak hours, it can get quite busy, leading to longer wait times at the checkout.
All of one person's day-to-day requirements satisfied at one convenient location. It is located smack dab in the middle of all the action in the city. The staff works extremely hard and is very kind and helpful to customers....
Aqib K — Google review
It was a great mess with staff filling shelves.I fail to understand why it can't be done before shopping hours start. Staff did ignore customers and pretending not to see them. We noticed isles fully blocked with stocking trolleys. It has a good range of produce and we did notice that most of the products were priced. A pleasant surprise was the fact that we didn't have to wait a long time for check-out service and the checkout operator was cheerful and helpful.
Beat O — Google review
Obviously the staff unloading products are much more important than customers trying to shop... I was run over and hit with a cage trolley today when the man pushing it clearly saw me but he had to shove through and hit me with his trolley. Not a happy customer at all!!! When I yelled ouch, he just kept going and yelled sorry!!!

What about Manning all the check outs so people can get thru quickly and man the express lane not everyone wants to use self service, those are the reasons I don't shop at Coles unless it's absolutely necessary.

There’s a reason I use self checkout, I want to be left alone !!!! To the Asian girl that was working the self service checkout when you push in between myself and my husband taking my already purchased bag and scanning it !! And scanning my coke carton etc back off !! Then getting angry when I asked you to back off. Thank for profiling me and my indigenous husband, didn’t see you do this to the white lady behind us !! Cole sleep your staff are racist !!! Do better.

Nestled in the heart of Geraldton, Northgate Shopping Centre is a delightful destination for all your shopping needs. Recently acquired by Centuria Capital Group's Primewest, this vibrant hub offers an impressive array of stores including Coles, Kmart, and various specialty shops like cafes and a chemist. Shoppers will appreciate the clean environment and friendly staff that enhance their experience.
Fantastic location for shopping for all of your regular necessities for the house. Massive selection from which to choose the items. Incredible in its efficiency!

Naomi K — Google review
Shame on you, Geraldton! Northgate Shopping Centre is so old and outdated that it's ridiculous. The parking situation is beyond a joke, stupid place to put a Hungry Jacks store, try going through the drive through when the North gate Shopping Centre is busy, with cars coming and going. The Geraldton city council needs to head down to Bunbury, where I live, and see how proper shopping centres are run. The choice of where to shop is also beyond a joke. The size of Geraldton and the surrounding towns, all you have to offer is Kmart !!? Geraldton needs a shopping centre like Eaton Fair down in Bunbury. Thank goodness I don't live here anymore. I only visit once a year and believe me that's even too much.

History Museums
The Museum of Geraldton is a local history museum that offers a fascinating exploration of indigenous, European, and natural history. It features the famous Shipwrecks Gallery, showcasing the wrecks of HMAS Sydney (II) and HSK Kormoran through high-quality 2D and 3D images. Visitors can also enjoy other exhibits such as old medical instruments, natural artifacts, and displays exploring the region's rich history.
What a truly remarkable museum, especially for a small city like Geraldton! I visited the museum based on the recommendation of a couple whom I had a chance meeting with while traveling through Northampton. They raved about the displays and the free entry. They were right. Super-sized gift and souvenir area to check out. Very friendly and helpful staff as I had the good fortune to speak with Ebony. Make the museum a stop for you while in Geraldton!
David V — Google review
It’s definitely worth a visit! The guide was friendly and enthusiastic throughout the tour. The museum’s sections are beautifully and clearly displayed, and there’s even a 3D cinema room. However, a few areas were a bit dim, which made the information hard to read. The souvenir shop also had lots of interesting items.
Quentin D — Google review
The museum is free entry. They work on donations are strongly recommend everybody donates because this is a great activity to do in Geraldton. There is nothing information here that you could easily spend about four hours but you can get through a little bit quicker if you skip over some of the informational plaques. There is information on the indigenous history, the history of the settlers, the Murchison River, the shipwrecks from the Dutch East India trading company off the coast near Geraldton and the Abrolhos Islands, and plenty of other interesting generic information such as things about the wildlife the Leeuwin current and the Point Moore Lighthouse as well. I can't speak highly enough of the museum. To me it is the perfect size - where you can easily get lost for a number of hours, but not too large that you can't get through the whole thing in one day. The location is right on the marina so before or after your visit you can enjoy a nice walk along the marina. The Browne Town.
Stephen B — Google review
This was an awesome collection the guide had great knowledge & could answer any questions regarding the collection & then some was a good morning of history for us as we visited the HMAS 1,1 site before hand

Woolworths Geraldton

Supermarket
Woolworths Geraldton is a convenient shopping destination located in the heart of Geraldton at Stirlings Central. The store offers a wide range of products including fresh fruits, vegetables, and bakery items. There are two Woolworths locations in town, each with its own strengths. The Seacrest store has a relaxed atmosphere while the Stirling Centre location offers a larger range of products but tends to be busier.
We stopped here briefly to get supplies. Mum went shopping while dad and us (lilly and Skye) stayed in the cool motorcar.
Tina H — Google review
For the prices they are charging for groceries lately, you would think they'd have better customer service. Woolworths definitely isn't spending any of their huge profits on their staff. Waited over 20 minutes in line for one of the only two checkouts that were open. The other checkout was the express/cigarette counter and that had an even longer, slower queue.
Grant S — Google review
Off today so thought will do grocery first… what a poor service at woolies… the register lady was a bit annoyed on some thing and stopped scanning the items and started giving me look… when i asked her are you ok.. she said she is but keep staring at me… 😤poor customer service at its best…
Ash C — Google review
I came to Woolworths at 4:40 PM to collect my partner's Click & Collect order. While others were getting their orders, mine was delayed. Around 5 PM, I spoke to a staff member who was bringing out orders. I showed him my order details, and he said he would bring it out within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. I waited for over 30 minutes, and no one brought the order out. Meanwhile, the staff member who said he would help just went back to stocking shelves and didn’t pass on the message to anyone else. Finally, a kind young woman came outside, and when I explained the situation, she brought the order within 10 minutes. I really appreciated her help—but overall, this experience was frustrating and showed a lack of communication and responsibility from the earlier staff member. Definitely not the level of service I expected

It houses a variety of stores including Woolworths, Best & Less, Reject Shop, Red Dot, and over 30 specialty shops. Churches & Cathedrals
St Francis Xavier's Cathedral, located in Geraldton, is a stunning Roman Catholic church that was constructed between 1916 and 1938. Designed by Monsignor Hawes, it is considered one of his finest works. The cathedral features a central dome and twin towers, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship from over a century ago. Visitors can explore the interior and learn about the building's history through guided tours or visit the small museum on site.
Visiting St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral in Geraldton was a wonderful experience. The architecture, which is over 100 years old, is truly stunning and a testament to the craftsmanship of that era. Inside, there's also a small museum that offers a deeper insight into the history of the cathedral and the local community. The peaceful and reverent atmosphere makes it a perfect place for reflection. Additionally, the Cathedral Parish Office has a selection of religious goods available for purchase. Overall, it's a must-visit if you're in Geraldton, whether for its historical significance, spiritual ambiance, or the museum.
Albin K — Google review
Fabulous place to visit, decorated a bit differently to the normal Cathedral or Church but has the most beautiful stained glass windows, fabulous statues, a very grand looking organ near the altar and another on a balcony overlooking the altar. The staff are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Cathedral and willing to talk and answer questions with passion
Lesley-Jane W — Google review
I rated St. Francis Xavier's Cathedral really highly mostly for its architectural beauty and being such a standout landmark within the city of Geraldton. It's worth spending some time here, especially around the outside but if you do get an opportunity to walk through the inside that also offers some value as well. Make sure to come by after sunset or before sunrise to see the church lit up which adds a different element. The Browne Town.
Stephen B — Google review
Beautiful cathedral right in the middle of town which was empty when we arrived in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday. The building and grounds have been maintained very well and it has a unique catacombs which you can peek in from the ground floor. Pity we could not go down or up to see as there was no one about.

Point Moore Lighthouse, an active red-and-white striped tower with a fresnel lens, was erected in 1878 and stands at a height of 34m. It is an iconic structure of Geraldton that stands out against the natural landscape with its candy stripes. The lighthouse also features exhibits and events for visitors to enjoy. Across the road from it lies Point Moore Beach where one can find a miniature replica lighthouse.
We were so lucky to visit inside the lighthouse in April! I believe it’s only open two days a year. Such a great experience. Note: For safety reasons, visitors aren’t allowed to climb the stairs or go to the top, but even just being at the base was amazing!
Lucie — Google review
There is the possibility this lighthouse could be so much more. There is an information board in front, and that's it. Unless you are a diehard collector of lighthouse photos, you might want to skip this one. There is a large carpark next to the beach across the road that may be a better destination to consider. The algae was quite fragrant today.
David V — Google review
Visited Point Moore Lighthouse in Geraldton today – WA’s oldest surviving cast iron lighthouse, built in 1878. Those bold red and white stripes are even more stunning in person. Just across the road, the beach is pure magic – soft pale sand, turquoise waves, and that salty ocean breeze. A perfect mix of history and coastal beauty. 🌊❤️
Donna D — Google review
Worth a stop just to take some photos. This is the tallest steel Lighthouse in Australia. There's not much else to do here and not really much else to talk about. It looks pretty cool and makes for a good subject for photos but there really isn't much to do here. The Browne Town.
Stephen B — Google review
What’s lovely old lighthouse - I was surprised by the face that it isn’t built on the foreshore, but is set well back from the beach. The face that the local council has been able to retain so much of the history of the lighthouse, which is displayed on the information on site, is wonderful to read, all the lighthouse keepers are also listed back to the first keeper. It’s a lovely lighthouse to quickly checkout while passing through Geraldton. There is a free parking lot across the road and easy access onto the beaches, although they are currently quite eroded and not looks like the council or land are are currently working on restoring the sand dunes and beach itself.
Marjorie — Google review
Visited Point Moore Lighthouse in March. While the lighthouse itself wasn’t accessible at the time, the sunset view from the nearby beach was absolutely stunning. Watching the sun dip into the ocean created such a peaceful and beautiful vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you love sunsets!

Colourful counter-serve chain with a humanitarian focus, for Mexican staples to eat in or take away.
The food that they serve is really excellent. It tastes really good and it is absolutely more then enough. The plate 4 plate donations are really wonderful. When we arrived there.. already 176.172 plates had been donated. Keep it up! It is also nice that there is enough parking space since you ll most likely visit this Zambrero by car.
Frits G — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience at this zambrero due to the rude behavior of the staff. From the moment we walked in, the attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive. When we asked simple questions about the size quantity of our meal, the server responded with impatience and sarcasm. It felt like we were bothering them just by being there. Customer service is just as important as the food, and unfortunately, the poor attitude of the staff completely ruined our meal. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant experience.
HIREN M — Google review
Ordered online thinking it would be easier and quicker, but I was wrong. I picked up my order with totally the wrong ingredients added onto the nachos (one of which I'm intolerant to, and definitely didn't add this onto my order online). When I asked why this is, the explanation I got was "we do it differently in this store". What's the point in being part of a chain if you don't want to make what it stipulates on the online order system? Perhaps it's an issue with the order system itself. But, either way, it ended up wasting more time which I initially hoped to save by ordering online.

Nestled near the stunning Geraldton Cathedral, Laian Restaurant is a modern gem that invites you to indulge in the vibrant flavors of the Levant, expertly crafted by chef Nadeem Turkia. This delightful diner prides itself on sourcing local produce, showcasing the region's bounty through dishes like house-made sausages featuring Southern Rangelands lamb and delectable filo-wrapped pies filled with western rock lobster.

My wife and I came for dinner at the restaurant tonight, 10th of August. From the moment we arrived the wait staff were welcoming, friendly and very informative when we asked questions about food. We had the trio of dips for starters, no photo unfortunately as we couldn't wait to get into it! Overall really delicious and very generous serve. For mains we had the Chicken Maryland and the Slow Cooked Goat, again no complaints with either of these dishes, delicious and generous in sizing once again. Lastly we had the dessert which was made by chef Tim! Poached pear with a delicious mix of oats, vanilla, syrup and nuts! Absolutely 10/10 dish, would recommend this to anyone! Even upon leaving the lovely ladies were happy to chat and very receptive to all feedback. Pricing was very fair and we were so happy with the atmosphere and experience! Will absolutely be back again!

Decided to try this establishment as I'd heard a lot of good things. When we got there, we were surprised to find the menu was a '2 course' or ''3 course' as I'd seen imenu pictures posted by the restaurant that had individually priced items. Decided to go ahead and eat there anyway and chose the 2 courses for $55. Given we were there at around 6.30 and there was only 2 other tables (1 with about 5 patrons, one with 2) when we were wanting to order, service was surprisingly slow. Took a while to be attended to and then it was about 20 minutes before our trio of dips and 2 lamb skewers came out. Very small portions, especially the lamb. Flavours were very nice though. The entree plates sat on the table for a good while before staff finally removed them and called mains away at 7.30, later than what we were hoping because we were hungry. I had the linguine as I had heard it was great and my partner had the goat. The portion again was quite small. The goat was a bit salty and the 'local seafood' in my linguine contained minuscule prawns and calamari rings that I'd be surprised if they were fresh as they were chewy. Given the previously charged price for the trio of dips was $12, based on that, either my meal or my partners had to be worth $43...which they definitely were not. Portion sizes did not match price charged. Only major positive was flavours in most items were very nice. Good to experience, but based on slow service, portion sizes and price, I will not be back.

The host is an engaging, friendly gentleman with an impossible to hide passion for food. The results are memorable. From a traditional Syrian breakfast that was full of flavour and textures to a crayfish pie that I wished would never end, the creative genius has made a restaurant that would satisfy customers in a major city anywhere. I highly recommend people try this place. Geraldton, you lucky lucky people.

Not only is the food incredible, this is a beautiful story. Syrian refugee Nadeem Turkia opening up his dream restaurant, Laian, backed by locals after they were blown away by his food. And we were too. Man this is good, soulful and love infused food. My wife loves middle eastern food and we came across Laian while in Geraldton. Firstly, Nadeem is the type of person you meet and instantly feel like you’re going to be life long friends. He has a beautiful, genuine energy filled with passion. And it shows in his food. We ordered the moussaka and tasting plate for two (should read four!). Servings are generous here, like you would experience when visiting someone’s home. The moussaka was rich, layered and warming. Like something your Nan would make on special occasions and you’d look forward to. The tasting plate featured shakshouka , dips, bread, falafel, kebabs, spiced mushrooms, ful medames, and salad. Every element was delicious. It was fresh, hugely flavoursome, authentic and best of all, felt home made. It’s pure, made with love. The baklava was sensational. The best I’ve had. Beautifully balanced, just sweet enough and spice driven with lots of clove. Nadeem came around to each table to check on his guests, and had a chat. Every table nodded enthusiastically at how good the food was. Big smiles all round. More restaurants should be like this. It’s Nadeem and his heritage on a plate. It’s love, it’s a story, and it feels like someone’s cooked for you at their home. We can’t wait to go back.

Had an amazing dinner tonight at Laian. They accommodated us outside with our small dog - even provided her with water. Food was fantastic - we had the special Crayfish, freekeh, and the mash potatoes. Mash was the creamiest, smoothest I’ve ever tasted in my life! The Moussaka was rich and delicious. We also stuffed ourselves with Falafel for entree, Arabic Pancake and Persian Love cake - all divine. The lady who served us throughout the evening was wonderful and hospitable, sorry we didn’t get her name. 10/10 will return!

Chinese restaurant
During my recent road trip, I stumbled upon Noodle King in Geraldton, and it was a delightful find for anyone craving oriental cuisine. The restaurant has a straightforward yet inviting setup, and the friendly chef welcomed me with warmth. With an extensive menu featuring various rice and noodle dishes, I opted for the Shredded Duck Meat Fried Noodle. For just AUD 23, I received a generous portion that could easily satisfy a family of four!
Perfect addition! Here's the updated version of your review with that included: Noodle King – Geraldton ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We recently visited Noodle King while up in Geraldton and were very impressed. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely amazing – full of flavour and cooked to perfection. A great variety of dishes to choose from, all at reasonable prices. The shop itself was clean and spacious, with plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your meal. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeaway, it’s a comfortable and relaxing spot. Another great bonus is the location – Noodle King is conveniently close to all amenities, hotels, and the beautiful Geraldton foreshore and beach. It’s the perfect stop whether you're a local or just passing through. Highly recommend if you're in Geraldton and craving fresh, tasty noodles! Brian & P'Tree

Amazing fried rice! It’s simple but so tasty. Noodle was average. Pretty big portion for the price. Worth to give it a try.

The food was a bit greasy but still good. The staff was nice. I didn't see them wash their hands, wear gloves or hair net. They also cross contaminante by using the same utensil for getting the meats and veggies.

For western area, this restaurant really helped my craving for Chinese food. The other great thing was that it opened until 9 pm, where most of the restaurants in Australia closed already. I visited this restaurant twice, once for dinner and lunch (the next day). My wife and I ordered Noodle Special Hot Box, Singaporean fried rice-noodle, Special fried rice, and chicken dim sum. So, it's recommended guys! Enjoy!

These guys have probably the best value take-away in Geraldton. The servings sizes are large and the prices more than reasonable. They are always quick in preparing the food which is always tasty and full of flavour.

The food prices are relatively cheap and they have large portion of servings. Pay with cash and you'll get discounts. The place is quite small for a big group, but it's definitely great for takeaways.

On road trip, wanted some oriental food, googled and found this shop. Decided to try and did not regret. The shop simple renovated with simple setup. Greeted by the chef who is Chinese. Seem to have a huge selection of rice and noodle. Decided on Shredded duck meat fried noodle and additional an additional portion of meat (no vege as requested). Cost about AUD23. But the portion is good enough for my family of 2+2. The taste is good for me as a Singaporean. Quite a familiar taste.

I had the seafood megorang, which was easily the best noodle meal I've ever had, big, hot, fresh and tasty, it's a no frills takeaway, but the food is great.

Sandwich shop
Subway is a popular fast-food chain known for its customizable sandwiches and salads. They offer a variety of healthy options to cater to health-conscious individuals. The counter-serve restaurant allows customers to build their own meals according to their preferences. Subway has gained a reputation for providing excellent customer service, as evidenced by the positive feedback regarding their attentive and apologetic staff.
Very good experience today at subway I loved how the girls wear their name badges so I know who they are. Katie - lovely service Kristie - I enjoy how she is always up for a chat while waiting for the food and that she is always smiling Milo ( I think ) - always has a smile on her face and is so polite Will be coming back for sure!! 👍

Ordered a 6 inch meatball sub, it was good but the service I got was not okay. The girl who served me (named Miranda was obviously not having a good day. Did have a bit of a stench of cigarette coming off her which I guess is alright but at least try to cover it so I know it’s not going in my food another girl started doing my salads because the girl named Miranda had to do something at the back I could hear her bad mouth another employee, just felt unprofessional to do while customers are around. There for the store it’s self was pretty clean little mold but Employees touching there faces and clothes and then proceed to make my sandwich was another put off. I hope to come back another time and have a better experience

Subway is an amazing spot in Geraldton. But the sewer smell outside is despicable I almost puked smelling it. As I went in the subway I could only see how dirty the floors were. The tiles looked brown sticky and looks like a lot of bacteria. I thought to myself the service couldn’t be bad could it? Wrong this blond girl I believe name is Miranda as she was serving me all I could smell was cigarette smoke and almost puked again. She was rushing me and throwing the veggies on with no care in her mind. I saw the other workers looking at her in confusion as why she was rushing me so much. She kept giving me dirty looks and was clearly judging me with her eyes. I felt very hated and not welcomed in this line of work when I asked for more carrot she scoffed and muffled something underneath her breath. I was mortified in why they let young workers treat there elder like that. When I asked if the veggie is fresh she said in a rude tone “yes it is have you seen the ad saying subway eat fresh” I was just baffled at this point and proceeded to pay she then went in the back and who knows what she was doing probably talking about me. The food overall was a 3/10 the toasted sandwich made the tomato and lettuce warm and soggy and the bread was stiff as if it wasn’t fresh. I don’t think I will be coming back in a while and stick with my hello fresh.

Ordered online and, unfortunately, they made my order wrong. They apologised and remade the order correctly. Food was good, albeit with an unexpected extra ~10am wait.

The server had gloves on, and was writing on a list when we arrived. Didn't change gloves to select our bread. My daughter is a vegetarian and a knife that cut up the meat footlongs was used instead of a fresh knife to stop food transfer. A fresh knife should be used with each sub.

Skeetas Restaurant Bar & Cafe is a must-visit dining spot in town, situated on the boat harbour with picturesque views of the marina. The casual and relaxed atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a leisurely meal. The menu boasts an array of fresh seafood options, including their signature Dhu Fish dish, reminiscent of a charter fishing experience. With its stunning waterfront views, it's the perfect setting for a sunset dinner.
We arrived into Geraldton on Easter Sunday without a booking. Lovely chap squeezed us into there what seemed like fully booked restaurant. We had a fantastic outdoor table watching the sunset over dinner. A crowd favourite was the Whiting & chips… delicately battered, delicious chips & perfectly balanced garden salad. Othered loved the pizza, dumplings & garlic prawns. The highlight was the service from Ethan… what an awesome chap and so friendly too. Thanks everyone for making our night spesh! Happy Easter 🐰💛

The hommus and bread were amazing and definitely a starter I’d recommend, though a little extra bread would’ve made it perfect. The garlic prawns were full of flavour, the steak was cooked exactly to perfection, and the Kilpatrick oysters were really good. The only dish that fell a little short was the scallops — they were small and I think they would’ve been much nicer left as they are, rather than wrapped in bacon. The atmosphere was lovely, with background music at just the right level — you could hear it without it being too loud, which is something I really value in restaurants. On top of that, the view of the harbour created a beautiful setting to enjoy the meal. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were warm and accommodating, even when we came in an hour earlier just to use the bathrooms while checking into our hotel. That friendliness really added to the experience. Overall, Skeetas is a great spot in Geraldton — good food, welcoming service, and a relaxed atmosphere with gorgeous views. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a wonderful experience at Skeetas Restaurant Bar & Café! They offer some vegan options, which is always appreciated, and everything we tried was very tasty. The absolute highlight was the hummus – honestly the best I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service attentive. Great spot for a nice meal with friends or family.

The call was answered by an AI system, so I didn’t end up making a reservation. When we arrived, we waited about 30 minutes for a table. The food was good — the day’s fish and seafood risotto were both tasty, though the portions were on the smaller side.

One of the best seafood restaurants in the area by far! Rock Lobsters are fresh! (Paired with a feta strawberry salad) That salad is fresh and delicious Prawns huge in size! Risotto is very fragrant and delicious! Well made by the chef! The red snapper (fish of the day) was so thick and flavourful (albeit abit pricey) Calamari squid rings were well seasoned and very tender to the bite! And the portions are very filling! Would highly recommend for people wanting a splurge a little on some quality seafood!

My grandfathers nickname for my late mum was Skeeta as she continually buzzed around him, so we thought it was only apt to eat here on our visit. We are so glad we did. One world.. Superb!!! The food was so beautiful in presentation and taste, the staff were brilliant. On leaving, we were told that they were 6 staff down, but as a customer, this wasn't evident. We can only highly recommend this wonderful restaurant

Great place for dinner. Dhufish wings taste really good, Pizza - the lamb with yogurt, yogurt delights the pizza nicely. Great views by sunset. I was only kinda disappointed with the food waiting time, it took nearly 50 minutes.
YuanFeng C — Google review
The dinner menu had about 5 GF options, I checked with the two waiters who served my table if it was celiac safe, both said yes. When leaving I checked with a lady who I think was the manager about GF options for the breakfast next day, she then told me no food in this restaurant is safe for celiac (very rudely may I add), it made me very upset since I had just had a very bad dish, which I thought was at least safe. I had the ceviche, which was bland and it consisted of a tiny bite of fish with bread, this dish is not supposed to have bread at all, it does not match the fish. In conclusion, bad food, bad service, rude staff and unsafe for celiacs

Visitor center
The Geraldton Visitor Centre, located on Marine Terrace next to the foreshore, is not only a convenient facility for visitors but also a remarkable piece of Geraldton's history. Housed in a historic wooden building dating back to 1878, which was the first railway station on a government line in Western Australia, the center preserves fascinating elements from its past. It serves as an excellent resource for special events and seasonal information.
Encourage you to make dropping by the Visitor center as one of your first stops in Geraldton. Perhaps you'll meet two local superstars, Melinda and Lorraine, who will guide you expertly as they did with me. Such wonderful hospitality and small town warmth. They brought substance to a nunber of destinations I was hesitant about seeing. Thanks to this awesome twosome!

A beautiful place. The beach, positivity, imagination, having respect for our place in nature, and the environment are among the issues that are discussed the most frequently. The most pleasurable and cost-effective way to have an experience that is analogous to visiting a museum or an art exhibition, as well as the one that provides the greatest satisfaction.

I honestly didn’t expect Geraldton to be this busy — in the best way possible. I was imagining a quiet coastal stop a few hours north of Perth, but what I found was a vibrant city buzzing with life, charm, and so much more than I anticipated. Tucked along the turquoise edge of the Indian Ocean, Geraldton has that easygoing seaside feel, but with all the amenities and energy of a larger town. It caught me off guard how well it balances natural beauty, history, and modern comforts. I came here for a break, and found myself swept up in everything the city has to offer. The beaches are stunning — perfect for a swim, windsurfing, or just relaxing with a coffee from one of the surprisingly good local cafés (seriously, the café scene here is thriving). One of the most moving stops for me was the HMAS Sydney II Memorial. It’s not just a beautiful monument, but a deep reminder of the history this region holds. And then there’s everything nearby: wildflower trails, the unreal Pink Lake which are just incredible. I kept discovering more and more to do — way more than I’d planned for. What struck me most, though, was the community vibe. Friendly locals, art popping up in unexpected places, good food, and a sense that this is a place people truly love. Geraldton feels like a hidden gem that’s somehow still under the radar, but buzzing with life and intention. It’s the kind of place that surprises you — and then stays with you.

I walked into the information centre and the lady behind the counter was nice and helpful and asked me did I need anything I had a look around and they had a good range of knick knacks they had a lot of information on the area I found the place to be quite nice outside they had the old 50 Cent spinning wheel that you was able to sit on and spin around I got some nice photos of it overall information centre was quite nice from mwh

Went here to get an art map of Geraldton to do the tour of the area. Lady at the infodesk helped me out inmediately. The map itself wasn't quite accurate and clear. I suggest you go down Main Terrace starting fron the visitor centre and do as many side streets as possible. Including passing through a mall area to get out in another street. Then, close the art walk loop by passing parallel to Main Terrace but along the Foreshore. Once again, take your time to spot the street art work. The thematics are mostly Environment, Respect Our Place In Nature, Beach, Positivity and Imagination. The cheepest museum/exhibition like art work admiration you can do and totally satisfying!

We asked John from The Provincial to cater for dinner at Echidna Park Sporting Clays over the long weekend. John and his team served up an awesome range of wood fire style pizzas quickly and efficiently. A very high quality product that was a highlight of the weekend. Will definitely use their services again.

As a chef, great pizza, for the most part all the ingredients are well sourced for a good tasting and authentic product. The rest of the food is delicious, when they have enough staff on to get it consistently. This is well and good, although I wouldn't recommend working there if your bottom line is to enjoy life and work sustainably, because they're bottom line is money and self gratification. Also during your "experience", really try to forget supporting sustainable and ethical practices, because it ain't here. 3 stars✌️

Great find in Geraldton! I was in Geraldton for a professional trip over the weekend. After looking at different venues and options, I wanted somewhere with good vibes and quality food. The Provincial was an excellent choice! I started with a glass of wine and decided on a bianca pizza with another glass of wine, nothing overly fancy, but made with good ingredients, attention to detail, and a solid dining experience (without being pretentious or fussy). The service was attentive and the atmosphere was really pleasant. My only regret was not having someone to share the experience with! I highly recommend this place. You can tell the owner truly understands hospitality standards and knows how to create a memorable dining experience, even with the challenges that come with the location. Enjoy!

I've visited The Foreshore Hangout Lounge twice this week during a business trip. On the first night, I enjoyed their burger and mozzarella sticks, while on the second night, I tried their chicken and avocado salad and pork sliders. The food was generally excellent, although the salad lacked moisture and excitement. The ambiance of the place is fantastic, with great service provided. Moreover, I joined in on their Thursday night quiz session which proved to be highly entertaining.

I called this establishment to see if they catered for celiac people, the person on the phone assured me that the gluten free food is prepared with caution and safe for celiac. Me and my friends drove there just to find out no food from this restaurant is indeed safe, the bartender (very rude one) was making a point to say I just had to look at the menu where it is state 'not safe for food allergies', eventho I called them, since I was welling to drive 15 minutes without being sure. In the end my friends had dinner there since they were very hungry and I had to just sit there, due to the poor service from this restaurant.

The best food service and atmosphere in Geraldton every day of the week no establishment compares and everybody currently serving food or thinking about beginning to in Geraldton need to take note as this place is the gold standard in the 6530 dp not bother going anywhere else until you treat yourself to an afternoon or night here the owners have put the work in and continue to come through with that level of care and attention and it shines through day in day out, as somebody that can cook better than most i am hesitant to go out anywhere in Gero and pay for a meal but since opening its doors foreshore has become my go too and really deserves all the praise it gets and more, Gero’s best hands down.

They say it’s hard to find good food in a smaller cities and towns in Australia, and that is absolutely true in so many places. I asked some friends from Geraldton where is a good place for dinner for a gluten free person, And their feedback was not encouraging. So when I ordered take way from this Bonny restaurant I was not expecting much….. But my was I wrong. It was a delicious yellow curry, and pad Thai to share with two people and a I was very impressed. Especially with the curry and it’s flavour, to compare with true food from the streets of Chiang Mai. As someone who used to go to Thailand every year back in the day, this meal took me back. The food is not traditional Thai food. We ordered Tom Yum, red curry and Roast Duck. The meat, beef and duck is not so fresh that I can taste it from freezer. The soup is different from the traditional Thai, I am sure the spices are not selected by thai. The boss look like Asian but I don’t know why she can allow her chief to cook in this way

This is not Thai food. The ingredients are Thai but the taste is not. We tried imrpoving the taste by adding salt, pepper and chilli. But when food is not good and authentic, that doesn't help. Don't order here if you like Thai food. The last picture shows what was left after removing the chicken pieces. Mostly onion. And when we told them the food is not good, the response what - thank you for your feedback. Waste of money.

Green curry, garlic vegetable, and sweet and sour pork were nice. Though for some unknown reason we couldn’t get any steamed rice which was quite confusing and bizarre. Service was average.

My friends and I went tonight and the food is very disappointing. Iv had this place recommended by a colleague I work with at the hospital and it sounded pretty good so I took my two of my friends. I felt so embarrassed to my friends. The pad Thai was very dry and bland, the chicken satay in skewer was undercooked, the curry puffs were overbaked, milk chai was super milky. It costs $95 and I spoke to the lady at the counter honestly about the food and how disappointed I was. I’m a food enthusiast I don’t mind paying $$$ for good food but I really felt gutted with this one so I felt I needed to be honest to them. The lady at the counter spoke to the cook and all the lady told me is they apologise. No compensation. To be honest, other restaurants would have done better than that or offer not to pay at all. The food was really bad. We couldn't eat it. I wish I’ve taken photos of what we ordered and the state of it. I’m not coming back!

Started off with a very warm welcome from our server. The food was fresh and tasty to the point I ordered another starter before my dessert. I would definitely recommend the chili seafood starter This came out piping hot and was filled with squid, prawns and mussels in a lovely sauce. Will be back next time we are in Geraldton.

The Murchison Tavern, a historic establishment dating back to 1890, is known for its local seafood and produce. In addition to its offerings, the nearby Platform Markets in Geraldton feature a diverse range of multicultural flavors on weekends. For those seeking quick bites, convenient options like McDonald's, Hooks Fish and Chips, and Tanti's Restaurant are available. The pub offers a tidy dining section with an interesting tiled finish on some tables.
If your looking for a great pub with excellent food then this is the place!! Sadly I only found this place on my last night in Geraldton and let me tell you, its food was absolutely amazing! Great serving size and prices. The staff were super friendly, inviting and loved to have a laugh as we all struggled to finish our meals. The flavours were great with all our meals especially the spinach and mushroom schnitzel pasta (a must have). If I ever find myself back here ill definitely go back to try more of their menu! Lastly to the lady that served us lads, sorry we didn't get your name but your service was 10/10!

Chicken parmi was nice and big. Can’t say much about the salad… unfortunately it was mainly that mixed lettuce leaves, half of a cherry tomato and about 3 slithers of cucumber. Chips were just ordinary chips. Service was fantastic though.

The place was buzzing on Grand final day 2025. Best price tap beers in town with good rangecof pub grub on offer. Happy hour Thursday afternoon. Great views across the Muchison River from the front seating. Plenty of outside seating and dog friendly.

Tidy pub with dining section. Nice layout and some of the tables have an unusual tiled finish which was different. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was good value and quite tasty plus arrived fairly quickly. Highly recommend.

We had no expectations when we went to this pub. We arrived early and gradually it filled with people wanting to eat. The menu was very comprehensive; my husband had the Nasi Goreng and asked for extra chilli and I had the crispy skinned Salmon. Both meals were nicely presented and the food was excellent. We had good service too. This pub is doing all the right things and deserves a visit.

The restaurant provides an authentic Aussie culinary experience with its use of uniquely Australian ingredients and proteins like kangaroo and crocodile. Visitors praise the outstanding food quality and friendly service.
Beautifully prepared food, in a lovely environment with amazing staff. It doesn't take too many more words to describe our dinner last night. We had Emu and Kangaroo Tail followed by deconstructed cheesecake. Everything was perfect and we couldn't recommend both dishes highly enough.

Really amazing restaurant, original ideas, native inspired food, with native plants seasoning. We tried the sample platter, with Emu , kangaroo and crocodile. Also, individual dishes: Filet Mignon Emu and Kangaroo tail. The dishes were so different from anything I tried before. 💯 Recommended, don't miss the chance. PD: Also it's an amazing Art Gallery, were you could share a wine ;)

My partner and I came for dinner last night - I am so glad we did! First, the service was amazing, staff were so polite and accomodating - very refreshing for Gero! The food did take a little while to come out, but once it came, it was great! The presentation of the food, especially the drinks we ordered, was fantastic, and the staff seemed very knowledgeable about the items on the menu :) You could really tell that the owners and staff were trying to give you a really amazing dining experience, we will definitely be coming again! ☺️💕

2025/10 RT Tasting Plate – A Journey Through Australian Bush Flavours The RT Tasting Plate is a chef’s selection that celebrates the unique and diverse ingredients of Australian bush cuisine. This entrée offers diners an authentic taste of Australia’s native meats, fruits, and traditional flavours, beautifully combining indigenous ingredients with modern culinary techniques. The dish features roasted sandalwood nut dukkah served with wattle seed balsamic glaze and lemon myrtle Drummond’s View olive oil, accompanied by lightly toasted sourdough and even freeze-dried green ants, adding a touch of earthy crispness. For the adventurous palate, the tasting plate includes grilled marinated crocodile, grilled emu, and marinated kangaroo, each offering distinct textures and rich, gamey flavours. Complementing these are pepperberry squid, Abrolhos pickled octopus, and Drummond’s View olives, which add a balance of spice, tang, and freshness to the experience. This dish is more than a meal—it’s a cultural and sensory journey across Australia’s landscape, inviting diners to explore the richness of native ingredients and the creativity of modern Australian cuisine Nice servies, especially the front desk

Food was lovely but experience was not as good as it could have been because we booked for 8pm dinner-which we checked wasnt too late as their booking system said they closed at 830. We were reassured that 8pm was no problem and kitchen closes at 830pm.okay then , so we turned up a little before 8 (745pm)and we ordered the tasting plate to share and then two mains. Tasting plate took awhile to come out (815pm) and then before we knew it while hardly anything gone from tasting plate, the two mains were served(@819pm)

What a rare gem in Geraldton! Australian bush restaurant serving crocodile, emu and kangaroo meat. We had the tasting platter as entree, emu Mignon and crocodile Caesar salad as main, and wattleseed brownie as dessert. Really recommend the emu Mignon; not sure how the chef prep the dish but the emu meat did not have any gamey taste. Also the night won’t be complete without their house made bush tea, which is an excellent compliment to our dinner. Will definitely return when we visits Geraldton again!

Was craving hot soup in a chilling winter and their seafood chowder definitely did not disappoint! More importantly, the service staff were warm and friendly, one of the most hospitable experience we’ve had in WA. We’ve also had Catch of the day (grilled Barramundi) which was good as well. We’ve left the restaurant feeling full and happy!
Chew T — Google review
My friends and my family stumbled upon there without a reservation, drawn in by the emu and crocodile – items you rarely find elsewhere. What started as a spur-of-the-moment decision turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had. The food was absolutely exceptional. The kangaroo tail was incredibly flavorful and tender, and the emu fillet was a delightful surprise, perfectly cooked and delicious. Beyond the exotic meats, the entire meal was a testament to their culinary skill. However, what truly set this restaurant apart was the service, which exceeded all expectations. Every staff member was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our visit special. My 9-year-old daughter, Iris, was so impressed that she spontaneously asked me, "Daddy, can we give this restaurant five stars?" Coming from her, that's the highest praise imaginable! To top it all off, the art gallery on the second floor added another layer of charm to our visit. It's a fantastic touch that makes the whole experience even more unique. We left feeling completely satisfied and with fond memories. It is a must-visit for anyone looking for an extraordinary meal and outstanding service. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Located near the ocean in a rustic tin shed overlooking Geraldton's marina, The Jaffle Shack offers a delightful dining experience. Their breakfast jaffles are filled with delicious ingredients like bacon, egg, mushroom, and pesto while their Nutty Chicken jaffle is a lunchtime favorite. Cafe Fleur, the sister venue of The Jaffle Shack, serves quality coffee and an innovative brunch menu. With ample indoor and outdoor seating and friendly staff, it's a great spot to start your day.
Terrific place by the water to enjoy lunch and a drink. I had a fabulous flat white coffee. Beautiful sea breeze with lots of seats inside or outside (in the shade or soaking up the sun). Very friendly service. I learned that a jaffle is like a toastie and may be like a grilled cheese sandwich in North America. Bonus is the friendly people sitting around who are interested in chatting. Great location to enjoy life!

ordered two iced matchas with almond milk. not only did we wait a ridiculous amount of time for two drinks, but the staff did not have a nice attitude either. the “matcha” was basically a cup of straight almond milk with clumped pieces of matcha powder stuck to the bottom and floating in the drink. $7 each for a cup of clumpy almond milk. super disappointed. if you are wanting an iced matcha or are looking to try it for the first time, i do not recommend ordering it here.

Great little place on the Geraldton Foreshore, offers a range of drinks hot or cold. The milkshakes are so good 😋. The food is a delight to eat with a good selection of jaffle fillings or waffle toppings. Has seating under the porch area as well as a few on the grass areas

I was totally dismayed at how this establishment is run, ok you can forgive new staff for making mistakes but poor training, common sense went out the window, during my visit. If they make the orders they call it out from inside if your seemed outside forget ever getting your order as they only call your order from inside and if you are seated outside like I was you would never hear it. The food though I never tried it was two slices or bread omelette that its size looked more like prisoner of war concentration xamp rasions for $13 was insulting, Do Not Go here if you like generous serves. I complained about the wait and it was discovered that new staff did not put that I was dinning in. The only good thing was the coffee, I complained to the Manager and asked for an partial refund and the time some 40 muniyes later only after asking. The manager took the K POW ration pack folded in grease proof paper and no compensation or consol prize for my time. Poor service, poor management and poor people skills Note unless your used to paying rip off prices for bread crumbs don't go here and expect anything other than a lack of empathy and a lack of a descent serve of food for your coin.👇👇 thumbs down, I will never go back here again
Howell H — Google review
A great idea in a great spot. Tasty and fair priced, fresh ingredients and good combinations We had a variety of a ,hot dog, jaffle a sausage, caramelised onions, cheese, mustard and tomato sauce (I suggested the sausage needed to be cut up once cooked as it was hard to eat, the sausage pulled out of the jaffle) One was a ‘hot mess’ chicken, bacon (which was quite thick making it hard to chew), caramelised onion, aioli and bbq sauce, the other was a cheese burger with chilli con carne, cheese (they ran out of tomato) with American mustard. We sat outside on the foreshore in Geraldton which has been done up to be family friendly. The three young staff members did a fantastic job as they were busy. All round a great casual lunch. The reason it was four stars and not five was the sausage and bacon and the lack of tomato which are minor things really.

Really nice cafe to stop off for a coffee or a meal, friendly staff, delicious food and good coffee. Dog friendly outdoor shaded seating, indoors seating area is spacious and clean, suitable for larger groups, too. Interesting “village” to take a walk through and there’s the option to feed the llamas!

Had lunch outdoors at this gorgeous cafe with beautiful views of a historical settlement and alpacas grazing in a field. Food was yummy and atmosphere was great especially on a sunny day like what we experienced. Would have given 5 stars but service was a bit slow as they were crowded and the cashier was a bit grumpy. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves.

Quaint little cafe, filled with knick knacks to buy, and after your meal, you can go feed the alcapas as well! It was a nice stop-over for lunch as we headed back to Perth City.

An absolutely lovely place to visit and dine in. The ambience is so charmingly old world, with historic buildings and exhibits to explore, and the food is definitely worth the trip. The seafood basket was amazing, everything so fresh, with the fries crisp to the very last one. The scones truly are the best I have ever had, anywhere in the world and I have tried many, in many countries, including England and Scotland. The owners are warm and incredibly welcoming. They even gave us a complimentary sampling of a new ice cream flavour they were testing out, that was not on the menu. If you have not been here yet, it should definitely be on your list!

Amazingly beautiful place. Historical pieces beautifully preserved to showcase. It's a self-guided tour to the old buildings, a ticket for which you can take at the cafe counter. There are also some Lamas which always Rome around and you can feed them too. It was an awesome experience!.
Aqib K — Google review
Worth stopping to explore this peaceful place. Of the 11 buildings, 1 was closed for repairs when we visited in early Nov. Some interesting exhibits. There's an entry fee to support its upkeep. We arrived a little later than 2:30 and as seems the norm these days the cafe was already closing up for 3pm so we felt we couldn't order any food etc so I can't comment on the cafe fare. However, we could stay exploring the grounds to 4pm when the grounds keeper came to lock up.

Unplanned visit, as we were passing by and wanted to stretch our legs. For such a small place, it gave us some really fond and memorable moments. The favourites were all the extremely curious and entertaining talking parrots - one said ‘Don’t go’ and we did a bit mimicking movements with the other. Priscilla the large ostrich wouldn’t leave our sight, and it was quite a funny experience to feed the emus, and of course the kangaroos.

Greenough Wildlife & Bird Park is a fantastic spot for a family outing, especially if you have kids. The entry fees are reasonable, with $15 for adults, $10 for children over 2 years old, and free admission for kids under 2. We spent about 3 hours here, and it was worth every penny. The park is filled with friendly animals, including sheep and kangaroos, which the kids absolutely loved. You can even feed the animals for $4 per packet, which adds to the fun. It's a great place to spend quality time with your children, and the kids had a blast interacting with the animals. Highly recommended!

Take 5 minutes to pull into the parking area, read the info sign, and take a good look at this marvel — it’s worth it and so much more satisfying than trying to see and absorb it at 90 km/hr on the highway. As others have noted, there are loads of other trees growing at an angle in this area with prevailing winds coming in from the coast, but this is the granddaddy of them all! It is located on private land, so the viewing spot is behind a sturdy fence, and rightly so. I can’t imagine it would survive long if people were able to get to it. If you are traveling north, it is on the left just past Daisy Downs farm.
Marsha R — Google review
Overhyped, in my opinion, unless you want to know the origin or the science behind it. But for such a long drive to see it.. it was a good thing that it was just an on-the-way event. Looked like curved branches with bushes at the end, but caused by nature was the incredible part. You can't get near it since the tree is all fenced up, likely to protect it from destroying hands and climbers plus over enthusiastic photographers.
Botak — Google review
A must-see roadside stop! Pull over for 5 minutes and take in this incredible windswept tree — the most iconic of them all. Far better than a quick glimpse from the highway at 90 km/h. It’s on private land, protected behind a fence (thankfully!), so everyone can enjoy it for years to come. If you’re heading north, you’ll find it just past Daisy Downs farm on the left. Quick rest stop, huge reward! 🌳✨

If you didn’t know what you’re looking for you wouldn’t see this ! There is no signage for it other than a brown camera sign a few hundred metres before you need to turn into the little car park. Visiting Geraldton Aquarena mid morning from Albany has been a very pleasurable experience. The changerooms and pool surrounds were clean, terrific layout, the pool water temperature pleasant for the weather and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Aquarena has a 45 metre water slide which was not due to open until 4pm but the lovely Julie opened it especially for us and it quickly became very popular with other children and adults. We arrived to refuel after four hours of driving, only to not be acknowledged at the counter. It was a good two minutes before the staff member turned around to then tell me "won't be a minute" Was that so hard to do in the first instance? We waited over 30 minutes for coffees and jaffles. The staff members rudely talked across the café about shift patterns and bad mouthed customers behind the counter. Bad behaviour and just rude attitudes.

An absolute dream of an oat milk iced coffee. This mornings saunter through town took me to this jolly place for a coffee, and though I didn’t buy food, I caught the atmosphere of enjoyment as in there were some very occupied patrons eating their Jaffles with gusto. The staff were professional and there were Gfree biscuits on the counter you could pick up to eat with your coffee if you like. Though the menu was not extensive it did look very varied and flavourful.

First time visitor to The Jaffle Shack on Marine Tce. Very popular place with many locals coming in for takeaway. One thing I was very impressed with was that they carry all types of milk and also have GF option bread for jaffles. We sat inside but only a small place so there is additional seating outside the front. Staff were OK however none seemed to be happy. We did get a "Thanks guys" when leaving. Give them a try with either a jaffle, waffle or just a hot drink

We started with one jaffle, we demolished it and ordered another... demolished that two and ordered a third to share - too good! The Benedict jaffle was our favourite and the side of Hollandaise was a nice touch and we ended up dipping everything in it because it’s store made and delicious. Make sure you drop in if you’re in town.

Cafe Fleur, located on Marine Terrace, is a charming spot known for its quality coffee and delectable brunch menu. The cafe offers a cozy indoor setting as well as outdoor seating. It's also dog-friendly, making it a great stop for pet owners. The Spanish breakfast is a must-try, featuring halloumi, avocado, poached egg, and chorizo on toast. Visitors can expect friendly and attentive staff who contribute to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the place.
Stopped in here for brunch on our way to Hutt Lagoon and got the Three Cheese Scrambled with Smoked Salmon. Portions were generous and we had a hearty meal to begin our adventure!

The cafe is quiet nice, the food was nice found it strange there is 3 menus but the get funny about the other menu not being there, I had the Brekkie burger, it was nice needed more sauce. The onion rings where amazing light crunchy batter, with soft tasty onion, with a nice creamy egg mayo. I ordered soy latte, they gave me a massive size, i prefer when its smaller that way the coffee is a little stronger. I thought it was a little expensive for what it was though.

Ambience is lost with how many people are in this place however it’s very popular and busy for the locals. Coffee at first was a little bit too tart however gave it time to settle in. It tasted like a regular coffee from an average coffee shop. But the coffee was desperately needed so it didn’t worry me. Being a town I didn’t spend long in, I would like to try other places around. Not sure if the two businesses are owned together - jaffle shack and cafe fleur?

Came here for a quick lunch stop driving back to Perth. They ask for payment at ordering which is not conventional so I suspect they've had a few runners. The good: Generous serves, the chicken soup has probably a chickens worth of meat 🐔 🍲 The large nacho was properly spicy

After a 2 year wait we returned, although the menu had changed we were still very happy with it. Fabulous friendly service and love the inside.

Delicious food. Excellent service, friendly, nice atmosphere. Plenty of tables inside and out.

Food and coffee was okay. Breakfast croquettes were pretty good. Three cheese scrambled eggs not the best, was quite dry and lacked flavour. My friend added on roast chicken as a side and that was quite dry and bland too. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seats.

Fast food restaurant
Domino's Pizza North Geraldton is a delivery/takeout chain that offers an extensive selection of pizzas and various other dishes and sides. Their thin crust pizza option was cooked to perfection, with the toppings evenly distributed throughout, including the edges. The timely delivery ensured that the pizza remained intact without any loss of toppings. The peppy paneer pizza stood out for its impeccable balance of toppings and ideal cooking.
Yummy 😋 Good food and service . Was passing by here on the way back to perth. The girl on shift was really good and handles everything professionally. Wait wasn’t long either for a lunch time timeframe. Great experience overall.
Nethanel O — Google review
Worst food we’ve ever ordered! Ordered last night around 9:30. Decided to try onion rings and tenders as well as our pizza. Who thought it was okay to serve 6x burnt, black onion rings? Not even worth a .50c much less $6.50. Tenders were slightly better not completely black but still nearly there, at least they were somewhat edible. The onions rings were not edible in the slightest! Can provide photos of the burnt food.
Sarah M — Google review
Barely any toppings, hardly any sauce, soggy and undercooked. The bases were paper thin with no crust, and three pizzas together weighed less than one normal one. Definitely never ordering again.

Always give credit where credit is due. Ordered on a Friday night when it was insanely busy, I stood there patiently watching the team work - everyone was working like machines, everywhere and not dropping the ball, and even when it’s loud inside the staff in the front still handled every client with kindness & friendlyness over the phone or the counter. Special shoutout to Deepesh J (name on the receipt) ⭐️

Delivery, Phoned the store direct (no apps). 1pm on a friday. Took them about 15 min. The pizzas and garlic bread were cooked perfectly and to order, so 5 stars. Our drink was forgotten but i didn't think that was very important, the delivery person was able to minus the drink off the price and we payed via eftpos on delivery, unheard of compared to so many other places in Australia. (They offered to go get the drink and come back but we declined).

I ordered from this Dominos a few years ago and it was so bad that I haven't been back since. This time, one of the best Dominos I've ever had. I got the Chicken Camembert, it was really good.

From lack of toppings. cheese to a slightly burnt guess what I'm meant to be ( do I look supreme to you?) to a super drowning in sauce supreme. Hardly any cheese on any of them, and one more base sauce to anything else. Reported on Domino s FB and webpages but nothing done

Great, great free camping spot. Can stay there for max 5 nights. Flushable toilets and RV dump point and cold shower after a swim in the river pool. Absolutely great area! Loved it!
Christoffel A — Google review
It is a great place to camp, we have a caravan. It has toilets and, best of all, the beautiful cliffs and water pool. We had birdlife and a nice little walk along the pool.

Ellendale is a beautiful free camp. Limited spots closer to the water, but has an open area about 100m from the water hole! Great tables and BBQ facilities for people to share!

What an awesome free site! Max 5 nights. Many site options. Flushing toilets & a cold water shower. 1km stretch of water to kayak and impressive cliff face as your back drop. Tranquil and easy to get to.

Great little oasis to stop for a few days self sufficient camping ( Max 5 days allowed ) or for a fun daytrip from Geraldton. Water looked absolutely 💯 perfect the day I visited .
Kim H — Google review
Last time there 53 years ago, great to see that it is still very much the same other than now there are amenities. If going to camp would suggest getting there early as was very busy.
Steve M — Google review
Beautiful spot along the river with a nice gorge, you can't swim here but you can use kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. I only wish there were more camp spots along the river away from the main area which gets overly crowded and busy. Entry is free. You can camp for a maximum of five nights. Ellendale pool is about 40 minute drive to Geraldton. The Browne Town.

Good place to visit whilst staying in Geraldton. 15 mins drive away. See some local history. Lots of information is available to see & read. The residence is in good condition with a lot of antique furnishings and other items from the past. Then, you can stroll through the gardens and see the tree.

A lot of local history here, beautifully displayed, cheerful and happy employee gave us information about the Museum. Worth a visit. Interesting. Thankyou.

The way they described and show case the stuffs, I felt like I lived in that house. Must visit place for Geraldton visitors. And most important segment is goosebumps moment. Found my mother tongue on those pretty foot steps. I didn’t expect that.

Amazing museum absolutely packed with everything you can imagine would be involved in daily life through the stages of history in this area. The home really lends itself to the museum setting and the layout of the museum is really fun and interactive with a piano and furniture were encouraged to play/open and look inside. Personally I find a lot of museums interesting but a bit disconnected but the balance of well preserved pieces and informal layout of this place plus the beautiful building and amazing gardens really make you able to imagine living here through the years. The gentleman caring for the place is lovely and helpful and obviously passionate about the place and the two little dogs who came to greet us on arrival we’re the cherry on top :) Don’t leave without some honey and jam from the shop for your family :) this place needs all the support and love we can give it to keep it going for the community and future lucky visitors!

BCF Geraldton is a popular destination for land-based fishing, offering a wide variety of species to catch right off the shore. The store provides an enjoyable shopping experience with incredibly friendly staff and a great selection of last-minute items. Additionally, they offer affordable gas refills and convenient disabled parking. While prices may be on the higher side, the store's helpful and accommodating service makes it a go-to spot for boating, camping, and fishing needs in Geraldton.
Myles went above and beyond. Recently picked up a click and collect in BCF Geraldton and 2 days later unpacked the tv to discovered that something had been dropped? on it smashng the screen. Contacted them and Myles organised a replacement to be sent to us Even though we were 200km north by then. Thanks so much
Robert L — Google review
Went to refill my gas cylinder but was refused due to missing plastic cover on the PRV....Which is a new OHS issue and understandable,no problem.........however they should stock the new plastic covers that can be fitted to make them "Compliant". Another customer there went over to Bunnings ( Next door ) and was able to get the last plastic cover. Did find another vendor down the road that helped me out.
Glenn R — Google review
Nice big store, lots of stock but really poor attitude from staff. Lazy actually. Wanted a gas bottle filled, they wouldn't do it because it was intermittent rain. Didn't want to. Great news there are alternatives and a fantastic outdoor store in town. When talking of the poor service at BCF locals are well aware and agree.
Bronwyn G — Google review
Really good service from the manager and the other staff member helping me with my new Saragosa 14000 that had issues when I was heading up north for my fishing trip.
James E — Google review
Travelled 200k to Geraldton hoping to get my 9kg gas bottled filled as part of us stocking up for our trip to Wooleen, the unfriendly staff were rude and told me I needed to look at the wet sandwich board outside the store which must have said, "no gas". Apparently, they would not re fill gasbottles because of the inclement weather. Spoke to a lot of shop owners and they all have the same stories, Bcf do what they want and when they want. Terrible service.
Crosby L — Google review
Purchased some expensive binoculars, guy on the checkout forgot to print my receipt out. Got home and realised they didn’t give me my receipt, so rang up and was basically just told since I’m not a member of their club they have no record of my purchase. Very dodgy that they don’t want to provide proof of purchase. Would never shop here again
Adelaide Q — Google review
Dodgy , Got a 9 kg bottle refilled I noticed that when filling that no liquid gas came out the bleed screw when the bloke filled it . On checking the weight back at camp , the weight of the gas came to 8.1kgs , short changed me nearly 1 kg of gas

Staff completely unhelpful. Walked out after speaking with them regarding inflatable paddle boards. She had no idea what we were talking about. Won’t bother going back.

Kmart Geraldton is a treasure trove for savvy shoppers looking for great value. This superstore offers an extensive range of products, from home essentials and clothing to toys and travel accessories. While you might encounter a few items that don't quite meet expectations, the sheer variety ensures you'll likely find what you're searching for. Just be prepared for a security presence at the entrance, which can feel a bit off-putting when you're simply browsing for everyday items like paper.
good service, this one employee that served me was very nice and friendly, honestly W
Samuel R — Google review
Kmart your store is dirty and disgusting the floors have marks and are filthy there is tags and things everywhere. The staff are rude and not helpful. If you are so concerned about people stealing go back to normal check outs not self serve it is ridiculous you have to have someone check your things at the front door.
Imogen F — Google review
Very rude, bullying inpatient self help checkout person. Reported her but doubt that anyone followed through. I have her name so am prepared to follow through with my complaint. She indicated for me to use the self help checkout, I said "I wish to use the serviced desk thankyou" She yells at me a few times "I can teach you how to use the self help checkout" , i said "i prefer to use the serviced desk" she yells at me "it will take a half an hour for someone to attend a service desk, IM A HUMAN BEING, I CAN DO THIS FOR YOU, i know how to use them, i dont know how to use the service desk. I CAN DO THIS NOW"... and then says she gets this complaint about "not using the self service checkout" a hundred times a day by a hundred different people. I said "well maybe YOU should complain to management then." She takes my three things and begins to put them through the self help checkout, and meanwhile calling for a assistant to work on the service desk as a crowd was starting to form, within seconds she had three service assistants there! I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT A GOOD HALF HOUR! I didn't appreciate her attitude, her tone, her bullying and the fact that she had three assistants to work on the service desk before she had even finished serving me, not to mention being spoke to like I was a two year old! The KMart stores over all areas need to go back to proper service which is supplied by polite non agrovagated workers who deserve their jobs, not rude bullying people. I was furious and embarrassed.
Eileen R — Google review
Kmart geraldton the store was dirty and the floors were absolutely disgusting floors were heavily marked, loose clothing tags on floors dirty and lint throughout. It is the worst i have every seen a store. It should not have been open for public access. It was horrible.

The state of this store is crazy! It’s so filthy, dusty and dirty! Part of the ceiling near the kids area is covered in slime or some kind of kids putty, it really needs a huge detail in there😔 everything is messy and unorganised, very stressful when shopping there.
Natalie B — Google review
We visited our local Kmart store in Geraldton on Sunday we couldn't believe the state of the floors and the amount of built of fluff and dirt. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Shame on Kmart store manager for letting it get in such a state. Apparently lack of cleaners, we are a tourist town lift your game Kmart.
Jenny L — Google review
Kmart Geraldton team manager very disrespectful towards a mentally disabled person while shopping in KMart on Tuesday handling him as if he was a criminal by asking him what is his intentions while waiting for his sister to return from the fitting room, Kmart your store is dirty everything is laying around its like help me scratch store and team workers are a disgraceful no customer skills very disrespectful, we as customers pay your salaries and deserve better treatment and service
Noeila V — Google review
Click and Collect Specific: I recognise there is the policy of being ready to collect by 4pm if ordered by 12, and staff have to follow this. But twice now I’ve ordered something small, 3 or 4 items, and a number have not been located and refunded. Then as I walk in I walk past the aisle and the items are there. I cannot say if it’s high pressure for the policy, or if it’s just lack of looking. Probably not the best to do click and collect maybe and just head in. Have not had this issue with other Kmarts, inclusive of metro and also port Hedland.

The Old Geraldton Gaol Craft Centre Inc., located near the Museum of Geraldton, has a rich history dating back to 1856 when it was established as a town. Originally housing prisoners and convicts who were relocated from Fremantle for construction purposes, the gaol now serves as a craft center. Visitors can explore the cells that showcase the harsh conditions faced by prisoners during colonial times while also supporting the running costs through purchasing crafts made by local artisans.
This has local artists displaying their talents in most of the cells. An interesting guide telling us the story of the gaol and surrounds. We'll worth a look but the hospital is not available to look through unfortunately.

Fast food restaurant
Long-running fast-food chain for generous beef & chicken burgers, plus ice cream & soft drinks.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a fast food restaurant. The staff were completely unprofessional and showed zero interest in taking customer orders. Instead of serving people, they were busy chatting among themselves and ignoring the counter. When I approached, they acted like I was bothering them. It was clear they had no concern for customer service, and the hygiene of the place was unacceptable — the counters were dirty, the floor was messy, and no one seemed to care. It’s incredibly disappointing to see such low standards.

10am no milk, took 20mins to get order with only 3 people in store ,chips/ nuggets stone cold , wife went female toilets bloody disgusting filthy. Under and beside coffee machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months 1st and last visit Absalute no leadership or leadership that couldn't give a crap
Stephen R — Google review
It was a very disappointing and disgusting experience. Walked in there a worker supposedly cleaning, but instead she was talking to her friend the whole time, as the store got busy she was till talking doing absolutely nothing. There was rubbish on the floor and table and it was stinky. The only table she wiped down stank, all bins were overfilled, dead and alive flies on the window. The food was dry and cold too. DO BETTER I can’t imagine what the toilet looks like.
Valentine C — Google review
I was disappointed with my food. Service took long, burger was cold, and patty was unseasoned. Box with loaded chips was placed standing, which caused the cheese to stick to the side of the box and away from the chips. I didn't receive napkins or ketchup. Soda was flat. I will not return.
Meli S — Google review
Had to cancel order after 13 minute wait for a simple BBQ Cheeseburger. 8.45am...quiet restaruant...aside from that, absolutely FILTHY toilets. Look like they haven't been cleaned at all in at least a week. Pretty poor

Mia Restaurant in Geraldton, Australia offers a unique dining experience with its blend of Western and Asian cuisine. The restaurant boasts a stunning ocean view that sets the perfect ambiance for a delightful meal. Customers have praised the excellent customer service, warm atmosphere, and delicious food. Popular dishes include lime satay beef, salt and pepper squid, spring rolls, chillied mussels, and Mongolian garlic lamb.
6pm Friday experience , 1/4 seatings filled , cook food out in less than 15 minutes . Mia’ curry with rice

A typical country town restaurant at a converted house but with a mix of Asian and Western on the menu. We chose the Chicken Parmigiana and the Grilled Fish & Chips. Good serving at a reasonable price
Willfred “ — Google review
The serving speed was a real issue. We arrived earlier but were seated a bit further inside, so our order was taken about two minutes later than the two nearby tables. Both of those tables finished their meals and left, while we were still waiting, with not a single dish had come out after almost an hour. It seems the kitchen only prepares one table’s full order at a time before moving on to the next, which makes the process very slow. It would be much better if the kitchen could prepare same dishes together and serve them one by one, so that every table at least gets something to start with while waiting.
Nixi Z — Google review
First and the last experience! It was really a not-so-nice experience 😜. All the dishes we ordered were neither appetizing nor touched our taste buds but they were as expensive as in any other far better restaurant in the city. Three stars for the service only.
Aqib K — Google review
I found this restaurant on Google Maps because of its high rating and it’s one of the few restaurants open on Monday evening in town. The beef curry and Mongolian lamb my parents ordered were ok, but the beef & turf I had was honestly the worst steak I’ve ever eaten. It was full of thick, chewy fat, and the sauce was overly greasy. I felt sick afterward and had to drink a lot of iced water just to shake off the unpleasant feeling which I never had before… Not recommended if you had other choices.
Meow G — Google review
Terrible foods…… Not only bad Asian foods, also their western foods are disappointing. The chicken parmigiana was dry and flavourless, the salmon filet was dry and tasteless. The meat of the Pork ribs had some smell, taste unbelievable. Talk about the Asian food, the honey chicken with cashew was way too sweet, just like putting the rice in the sweet honey soup. Unforgettable dining experience, will not recommend to come to this restaurant if you visiting Getaldton.
Flo “ — Google review
Bought the chicken curry, honey chicken, Mongolian lamb and Mi Goreng noodles. Can't say I enjoyed any of it unfortunately. The flavour was lacking throughout the whole meal.
Shar T — Google review
Terrible, simply terrible. The food we got served simply got me questioning why they’ve got such a high rating on google, highly misleading. We’ve ordered a spring roll, which was just fine, and a chillied mussels, which was frozen food, not freshed. The Mongolian garlic lamb wasn’t even lamb lol we got served beef instead. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who’s visiting Geraldton.

Food was like in every McDonald's. The most of the order pads does not work, and I took my money anyway, cause after the payment it canceld the service. After asking, I got my money back. But it would be so easy to just put there a 'out of order' sign, so you know that it's not working.
Patricia B — Google review
Went through the drive thru at 6am got cold overcooked hashbrowns that looked like they’d been cooked the day before and a watery coffee. Great way to start the day won’t be back.
Casey Y — Google review
Very disappointing. Failed to make proper order multiple times and ended up giving a mccrispy with no chicken?? Multiple kiosks don't work. Bad soggy fries as well. Waste of time and money. Don't go

Terrible customer service, there is a girl with lens elli ella something like that, always disrespectful, never smile, not just one time, always when she is serving, really bad mood and vibes, please make sure to assess properly your employees. If she can’t work in customer service send her home.

Absolutely horrible, asked for a vanilla icecream sundae with extra caramel and they didn’t say anything at all and they gave me a chocolate icecream sundae with tiny amount of caramel gross and disappointing.

Quiet Life Coffee is a popular spot in Gero known for its exceptional coffee and delicious brunch options. The cafe exudes chill vibes, making it the perfect place to start your day. Customers rave about the flavorful coffee and recommend trying their specialty beans. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including pork belly rice and pancakes that are described as both indulgent and tasty. The cozy decor adds to the overall appeal of this hidden gem, making it a must-visit while in Gero.
We had the pulled pork Benedict and avo on toast with a side of bacon. Both meals were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to find the tomatoes on the avo on toast were warm! Cold brew was great and on par with anything you’d find in a great coffee shop in Melbourne. We loved it so much we swung by to get takeaway before we hit the road the next day. We grabbed the breakfast bagel, this was incredibly tasty and a coffee. Both times we came it was really busy but we got our food and coffee within a decent time from ordering so no issues. Staff were all lovely.

Love their bagel series personally — super satisfying! The flavours were balanced, and everything tasted fresh. Coffee was smooth too. Would come back again for a relaxed brunch spot!

I love the vibe here! The place feels calm and cozy, perfect for a quiet morning coffee. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Our coffee and chai latte was smooth and full of flavor. The food was fresh and nicely presented. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Geraldton.

Everything is nice, but just too many flies! The flies rushed us out in 30min 😂 Maybe it needs a net door. Food is delicious and coffee looks pretty. Staff are friendly too:)

A really popular local cafe. The food and vibe is so nice. The Buddha Bowl is strongly recommended for vegans and the Pull Pork is delicious as well. I really love the vibe here, flower and sunshine and a cup of flat white is a great way of refreshing your day.

Super lovely Café with cute staff and tasty coffee. We love the Music and atmosphere. The name suits it well. The veggie Bagel was spicy. The specialty Coffee is strong.
Rebecca — Google review
Ordered a salmon bagel. It was pre-made and toasted after ordering. I wasn’t aware they were going to cook the salmon in the process. I could not eat it, the salmon was brittle and cooked through. The owner said no refund, no exchange. I could order and pay for a “raw” bagel if I wanted. They had taken the food away so I was left out of pocket with no food. My husband asked for it back later and we fed it to a nice dog at the beach. I’m adding a picture of the bagel, and the AI summation of whether smoked salmon in bagels should be cooked.
Linley W — Google review
Lovely cafe! Popped in for an early lunch midweek and found a lovely table outside. We ordered bao chicken buns, gluten free salmon bagel and a blueberry bagel. All was superb! Coffee was excellent too. Can provide coeliac friendly options too!

Restaurant
Bob's Boutique Bar, located in The Gerald Apartment Hotel, is a popular evening spot known for its extensive collection of 70 gin bottles and a menu of small plates. The sleek interiors exude sophistication with velvet lounges, neon lighting, and a dark color palette. Guests can enjoy Asian-inspired dishes like squid ceviche, tempura prawns, and Peri Peri chicken with wombok salad.
What a sensational meal! After a week driving down the coast of WA from Broome, I hadn’t booked anywhere for dinner in Geraldton and decided that the menu for Bob’s Boutique Bar looked good, and it was handy as we were staying in the Gerald. Thank goodness we did! The best meal of our trip! The flavours of every dish were incredible! The arancini with its delicious dipping sauce, the pork belly bites and octopus were to die for, followed by the steak and peri peri chicken. Every single dish was melt-in-your-mouth amazing and the staff were an absolute delight, including the chef who ran several of the dishes out. All of this was washed down by several glasses of great wine. Run, don’t walk, to Bob’s if you’re in Geraldton

Took my partner here for a beautiful dinner and cocktails we chose the feed me option allowing the chef to pick our meals, fantastic tapas great service from the waiters and atmosphere was perfect for a date night or special occasion
Trevor W — Google review
Unfortunately, our dining experience at this establishment was very disappointing. The portion size of the truffle pasta was inadequate, the scotch steak was excessively salty, and the chicken skewers were served with six pieces on dry flatbread. Service was equally unsatisfactory, as staff appeared disinterested in attending our table to place our order. While we understand that meals can sometimes take time to prepare, the total wait was 45 minutes to an hour, and the waitress dismissed our concern by stating that she personally considers waiting this long “reasonable” for food to be served together. Based on this experience, we will not be returning again.
NGOCDIEN Q — Google review
Absolutely outstanding! Bob’s Boutique Bar has officially become our favourite place in town to eat. Every dish we ordered was cooked to absolute perfection—there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t enjoy. The crème brûlée was the best we’ve ever had, hands down. Normally we’re disappointed by steak when dining out since we grow our own, but this one was every bit as good as homegrown—perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The duck sauce was divine, and both the 30 Knots and Bee Sting cocktails were amazing. The staff were professional, friendly, and had a great sense of timing—they read the room perfectly and even shared a laugh with us. It’s rare to find that balance of top-quality food and genuine service. We’ll be recommending Bob’s Boutique Bar to all our friends and family. Keep up the fantastic work—you’ve absolutely nailed it!
Ellie W — Google review
Last night, our group arrived at Bob’s Bar very hungry after performing in the gorgeous Queen’s Park Theatre. At first we were told the kitchen had closed, but to our delight, the chef agreed to stay back to feed us. What followed was a 4 course shared experience with quite literally some of the best food of any kind I’ve eaten anywhere! Every platter was sensational; from arancini balls, to rare beef, to the octopus and crème brûlé - and so many more…we walked in and we rolled out! Not only that, the 3-piece band of talented local musicians (we now call them Friends Who Play) were amazing and the overall service from everyone there was exemplary. I can’t recommend Bob’s Bar highly enough - one of the best nights we’ve had on tour and we all hope to be back again!
Caitlin B — Google review
We booked a table not knowing we were about to stumble upon one of Geraldton's hidden gems. Talk about a pleasant surprise! The interior? A masterpiece – from the music to the lighting, every detail oozes charm and character. This place is in a league of its own compared to the usual fish-and-chips, chicken parm circuit. We kicked things off with chorizo in chipotle sauce (delicious), a blue cheese cream focaccia that was downright indulgent, and a pickled radicchio with capsicum combo that was pure flavor magic. But fair warning: this isn't the spot to satisfy a ravenous appetite – it’s more about savoring incredible cocktails (the mocktails are divine!) with a side of sophistication. No kids menu, but they didn’t blink an eye at us coming in with family. Hats off to them for that!
Coraline92 — Google review
Atmosphere was laid back and chilled vibes, the staff was ok. But very disappointed in the food. You can tell the chef is different. Got the scollops and beetroot and zucchini salsa. Everything was BLAND! Scollops smelt fishy, Pork belly was deep fried and very dry, nothing went with eachother on that plate either. The Arancini was anything great said it was mushroom but tasted more like pumpkin 😒But the dessert was ridiculously shallow and nothing like a cremè brule should be the inside was stodgy and tasted gross. Foods not worth the prices it’s being charged at. Ended up at KFC afterwards 🤨 would recommend going to the old man and the sea on the roof top of the building.
Stevie-Leigh S — Google review
We had a wonderful night here. The chef went above and beyond to prepare this meal especially for us as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The best seafood platter we have ever had. The atmosphere was great all the staff were lovely. We will definitely be returning

The ladies at Latitude could not have been more helpful. I wanted a particular coloured pearl in my pendant and they continued looking and offering photos of various pearls until they found the one I think is perfect. My piece arrived within days and I absolutely love it! I’d love to go to the actual shop but their service for a long distance online order (plus a phone call) was brilliant. Thankyou.

I don't do a lot of reviews. Mostly because I don't tend to get great service these days. Latitude is different. Sara is awesome to deal with and she made everything easy. The pendant I bought this time, just like the earrings I bought a few years ago, is just brilliant. If you're buying jewellery anywhere else you're not getting the best. It's that simple.

What an incredible team. A few weeks ago I reached out to see if they were able to customise a ring to suit what I was looking for and they immediately gave me a yes. They called/messaged me throughout the entire process to keep me updated and ensure I was happy with the particular colours of the pearl and gems. Id never ordered anything custom prior to this but these ladies made it so easy and I couldn’t be more happy with the end product ! Definitely will be ordering my pieces from latitude in the future !

What a lovely visit to the store in Geraldton! I had enjoyed browsing the website for many years and finally made it to the actual shop! The Esplanade, situated at the southern end of the Foreshore in Geraldton, is a newly developed waterfront area that has become a popular destination for both tourists and locals. It offers stunning views of the city, port, Champion Bay, and Moresby Ranges from its 360-degree viewing platform. The area features well-maintained walkways, barbecue facilities, and lush green spaces created through extensive renovations.
Nice walk out to the lookout. Great view of boats in the port. Enjoyed the Yellow Submarine display. Very interesting board displaying current times of ship arrivals and departures. Viewing binoculars enable you to view sea lions on the groins.
Hartsy74 — Google review
Beautiful little walk along the foreshore out to a viewing platform where you can view the port, the foreshore the marina and just get a general sense of the town layout. Saw some seals on seal rock, plenty of seagulls and just enjoyed the nice clean atmosphere along the foreshore. Great place to kill half an hour, sit down and relax with a coffee. The Browne Town.
Stephen B — Google review
At the very end of the Esplanade is a circular viewing platform that looks out over the city, the port, Champion Bay, and the Moresby Ranges. There are also groomed walks and a place to have a BBQ at this location. The Esplanade moniker is a throwback to the former location of the Esplanade Jetty, which used to be known as the Eastern Breakwater.

Definitely worth visiting when passing through. Didn't see any sea lions but still fun to explore and 2 free telescopes to use.

Embark on the holiday of a lifetime with Eco Abrolhos Cruises, where you can enjoy an incredible mix of activities such as snorkeling over diverse coral reefs and indulging in plentiful fishing opportunities. The friendly and knowledgeable crew ensures that everyone, regardless of age or ability, has a fantastic time. The spacious and comfortable boat cabins provide a relaxing retreat after eventful days filled with fishing, craypot pulling, snorkeling, and walking.
Staying on the Eco Abrolhos was fantastic. The trip had every richness from the ocean - blue skies, crystal clear water, fishing, snorkelling, history, crayfish, pearls, coral beaches, and wildlife. Jay and his staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. With good humour, they accommodate guests' needs and fitness levels. Emily, the on-board chef, provided delicious healthy food, including the fish and crays caught the previous day. Each day, we could choose to fish, walk, snorkel or simply hang out on the boat's deck. Stargazing with Donna was fun and informative. I recommend Eco Abrolhos to anyone looking for a small group tour, adventure and history in a stunningly beautiful location.

We just had the fantastic experience of a 13 night Wyndham to Broome Kimberley cruise with Eco Abrolhos. From the moment we were picked up in Kununurra it was obvious it was a professional operation. As we were transferred from Wyndham wharf you just knew they were on the ball. Our cabin, 16, was much more spacious than we imagined. The vessel and the trip were well explained and the staff were very attentive. The cruise is just difficult to describe as it is just too beautiful, the Kimberley is a wonderful part of the world that you just need to see. The excursions were well organised and edgy enough to be a talking point every night over the great food. Special mention of the hostesses Eloise and April who made sure everyone was well looked after. They were delightful young women! The excursion crew were on the ball and the commentary was spot on, Twoey, Mitch, Laura and Kale were great fun. Skipper Liam and first mate Jay were totally professional ( though Lisa did a pretty good version of Liam 😂). I personally enjoyed the opportunity to have a fish and there was no shortage of bites and fish was on the menu regularly, great knife work Jay! We had great company with the mix of passengers from all parts of Australia. This is small boat cruising at its best, you get to places the big boats don’t. Put Eco Abrolhos on your to do list, we are talking about a trip next year with them to the Abrolhos islands!
Mark P — Google review
An overall incredible experience. Some of the best coral reef complexes you can swim over but completely unique as the Abrolhos has sealions. The area that has massive amounts of history dating back over 400 hundred years. I was blown away by being able to snorkel over the wreck of the Batavia - still has cannons and anchors in place, surrounded by coral, massive fish and crayfish - an awe-inspiring visual and historical spectacle. Options to snorkel or deep-sea fish (and crayfishing) twice a day. Heaps of fresh seafood prepared by top quality chef every day. Highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable staff that not only ensure you safety, history, wildlife and hospitality needs are met but they make you feel like you are part of the family and the mothership is your home. If swimming and fishing is not your thing, they always launch glass bottomed boats so no one misses out. Shopping for locally grown pearls at one of the fishing shack communities is also quite unique.

Incredible Kimberly Cruise - Wyndham to Broome Sept 2025 • Couples What an adventure !!! The weather was fantastic – blue skies and mirror-like seas. The mother ship was very spacious, spotless and extremely well equipped with all that you would need, including the upper deck for yoga and some gym equipment. The tenders were all well maintained and also spacious for small groups. The staff were most helpful, very hard working, and looked after our every need with a smile and very cheerful attitude. The food was to die for, and varied every day and night. We had a great selection of delicious nibbles on tap every day, so forget the waistline problems you may have. The bar was well stocked and bar staff friendly and attentive. Every day we were advised of the day’s itinerary, with options available for variations to cater for fitness limitations and plenty of time for questions. Boarding the tenders and climbing back on board was a breeze and well organised. The scenery was spectacular and nothing like that I have ever seen before, massive rock formations plunging into the seas, whilst the menacing crocodiles were in attendance constantly. Unforgettable memories of the Mitchell Waterfalls, Montgomery reef, the breathtaking Horizontal Falls excursions, the bird life being abundant and a few sightings of the rare Kimberley Rock Wallabies meant that the camera really got a workout. The fishing was fantastic, the end result equaling five delicious cooked variations presented to the group. The aboriginal rock art was breathtaking. A large variety of art, dating back thousands of years was totally accessible on many locations, with detailed explanations from our very informative guides. We had plenty of time for photographs and any queries that we may have had. The crew worked enthusiastically as team and shared their extensive knowledge of the area and wildlife at all times, but especially on the escorted excursions. Every evening we had a debrief of the day’s activities and a briefing for the following days program. Safety was emphasized, especially crocodile awareness and tender protocol. Congratulations to the skipper, Bronson, and the crew of the Eco Abrolhos, for a truly spectacular holiday. A complete and memorable package !!!.

Lucky enough to spend 5 days at the beautiful islands with a lovely group & crew onboard Eco Abrolhos. - Incredible food - we were well looked after with all meals! There was always fresh salads, lots of fresh seafood options, meat and vege options and cakes for the birthday guests too! - Well planned itinerary - including stops at the Pearl Farm on Post Office Island, snorkeling and/or fishing excursions to choose from daily, able to watch the crew pull and set pots each day and had the option for beach walks where you learnt a lot about the history at the islands including the Batavia shipwreck, the bird life, the flora&fauna and the fishing days. - The crew are so professional and considerate - always going about things with a smile on their face and are so hard-working! Almost nothing was too much of an ask from them. - Cabin was extremely comfortable for us, very clean and plenty of storage room for our belongings We made some beautiful friends with the guests onboard, and it was such an epic trip filled with things we love to do, lots of good food and stunning scenery. Snorkeling the Batavia site was an unreal item to tick off the bucket list - we won't forget that 🤿 Thanks to Jay, Son, Mitch, Jaynie, Karmony, El, Lulu, Jack, Tom, Ford, Liam, Laura 😍

Amazing and unforgettable trip from Wyndham to Broome with the EcoAbrolhos. This trip was all I had hoped for and more. I can't thank the staff of the EcoAbrolhos enough for the incredible time that they gave us. I couldn't fault a thing about this trip. If you are looking for a relaxed vibe, then this is it. The scenery was just so incredibly beautiful and so different in each place we visited. I loved that it was a small group, we had 29 passengers on the boat. All the staff were local to WA except for one which made it quintessentially Australian. They were an extremely hardworking and cohesive group with lots of local knowledge - and heaps of fun. The tenders could fit us all in if we were going out for an excursion, which was great that we didn't have to wait around. The food was exceptionally good. Em is an amazing chef. There were plenty on the boat that wanted to fish, so we had quite a few fishing and crabbing trips included and if you didn't want to fish you could join a scenic. We were taken on walks and swims in remote places where we hardly saw any other people. There was lots of rock art sites to visit, gorgeous waterfalls, amazing rivers with incredible geological formations, including a bit of Australian history that I didn't know about. Actually it wasn't until when we were nearing Broome that we begun to see a few of the other boats. I think leaving from Wyndham rather than Darwin gave us the extra time to explore more of the inlets and bays. We even saw a baby whale breaching early one morning when we were cruising which topped off the cruise for me. One of the best trips I've ever had in a group setting. Thanks EcoAbrolos.

Thanks to Jay, Sonia and the whole Abrohlos team for making our 5-day “Wine and Seafood” cruise so memorable in October 2025. My partner and I had waited 3 years to make the trip over to the Coral Coast, from Melbourne, and we were not disappointed; indeed we loved every minute of the journey, scenery, on-shore excursions, food (thank you Connor 🙏🏼 😋 ), snorkelling (sensational !!!👌), fishing (and lobster pulls) and bar hospitality. Accomodations were super comfortable and the upstairs lounge and bar offered another venue for dining and socialising. In addition, one could equally take advantage of downtime, reading and relaxing. Overall, a great trip. Really enjoyed ourselves & now considering the Eco Abrohlos Kimberley cruise. Cheers 🥂 Sue & Tony

For a unique perspective, visit Old Man and the Sea Rooftop Bar in Geraldton. This nautical-themed rooftop establishment offers a refreshing spot to enjoy a chilled beer on a sweltering day. Recently, patrons dined at the bar and were delighted by their experience. The meals consisted of delectable fish from the market and perfectly cooked steak. These dishes were straightforward, tidy, and exceptionally enjoyable.
The bar man was extremely friendly, efficient and helpful. The salt and pepper squid was the best I have ever eaten and the Korean chicken was just stunning too. And it’s dog friendly too! Which is fantastic!

We had perfect weather and overlooked the Geradton entrance to the harbor watching a ship being escorted to its berth by a few tugs. All this while sipping our ice cold drinks and enjoying our shared entree. The meals were delicious with good sized servings and a huge selection of on tap beverages The ambience, views and service were first class. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant rooftop bar but get in early as it does fill up quick.

Atmosphere and city vista, perfect. Sunset amazing from rooftop. Cocktails good, perhaps have more than 1 person making them as the wait a little long at happy hour on Friday. Lots of staff. Food good, snacks and sharing available.

Old Man & the Sea Rooftop Bar offers more than just good food and drinks; it’s the whole package. With its great seaside views, friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe that’s lively without being overwhelming, it’s the ideal place to unwind. The deliciously prepared steak and the welcoming atmosphere ensure an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good feed, view and atmosphere in Gero.

First time in town and read the reviews and was pleased with experience. Great view, service and food is typical pub grub so all good there. Only advice is to wear something warm (in winter) be isse once the sun goes down it get real cold (and yes, they have heaters and try cover as much area as possible but there’s always that spot or two that it doesn’t cover but don’t let this stop you from going) Will be back again

Great bar with a nice view, live music, attentive staff, drink specials. They cater for celiac, got a very nice burguer, my friends got steak sandwiches and the steak, apparently very good as well.

Piper Lane Cafe is a charming spot in Geraldton, featuring an inviting atmosphere with friendly staff. The cafe offers a variety of delicious breakfast options, cabinet food, and special cookies. It's known for its rustic charm and is perfect for daytime indulgence with options like Five Senses coffee or boozy brunch. Visitors can enjoy soaking up the sunshine on the terrace while savoring their meals.
The food was delicious 5/5! Very nice breakfast menu. The coffee was pretty bad, bitter and watery latte 1/5. Though other reviewers seemed to enjoy the coffee so staff may be inconsistent. Overall still 5 stars for the breakfast and lovely venue.

The atmosphere was cozy and the food was amazing. We had ordered the breakfast burrito, the rhubarb and passion fruit curd hot cakes, an ice chocolate and an ice mocha. All of it was so good. The food was amazing. The place was a bit packed which was understandable and the only bad thing I could point out was the weather was not great in the outside seating but we did choose to sit there so that one is on us.
Hayley H — Google review
Don't like to be negative but if I could give minus 5 I would. 55 minute wait from time of paying till food came out. Waiter seemed to have an issue giving each individual person their plate also just stood there till we got up and took it off them. Staff were laughing the whole time behind the counter, all for having a good time at work but genuinely felt uncomfortable with them all laughing at what nobody could figure out was funny. That was throughout the time we were in the cafe and bare in mind we waited long enough. Food was 3/10 bland and very small portions for price. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

Very good food, good portion and flavours. It’s a bustling atmosphere. Only thing I would say is that steak sandwich need steak knife’s…but otherwise definitely worth a visit in Geraldton.

Had the Korean fried chicken and waffle. Very happy with my choice. Staff were very pleasant. Did not have to wait long for our food to come. Very good coffee too.

It's a cute little cafe with vegan options for food 😊 totally recommend it. See menu below.

I don't often fail to finish a big breakfast but this one beat me. This Cafe has great service and a varied menu. Try out their five senses coffee too, a four shot espresso gives the required kick for that good start in the morning. This is a must visit Cafe for anyone.

L'Italiano Pizza Pasta & Gelato is a charming Italian restaurant located in the heart of Geraldton. The cozy ambiance, adorned with lovely artwork on bricked walls, sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. Whether it's a romantic date night, family dinner, or a gathering with friends, this place caters to all occasions. Upon entering, guests are greeted with the tantalizing choice between indulging in their hand-stretched pizzas or savoring luscious bowls of pasta.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at this Italian restaurant, and it was an incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The menu offered a delightful array of traditional Italian dishes, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The pasta was freshly made and cooked to perfection, while the sauces were rich and authentic. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Overall, I highly recommend this charming Italian restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and a welcoming environment. It's a true gem in our neighborhood!

Food was absolutely incredible. Tried the gnocchi and wasn’t disappointed while my girlfriend tried the Marina served with generous portions of seafood (prawns, clams, mussels). Make a booking before you drop by. Could get busy.

We went to the restaurant because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. The pasta was very good and the staff very friendly. Absolute recommendation.

I have been to this lovely restaurant several times now & my experiences have always been great. Their white Pizza acts as a lovely entree, all of my dishes including the Vodka Alla Panna, Canneloni and Combination dish were fantastic. Service was fast given our group and Staff very obliging. Definately recommend this authentic restaurant👍👍

Update: Tried to give this place another chance. Arrived for our booking, and were ushered into an outdoor waiting area as the table wasn’t ready. Once seen to our table, waited for 30 minutes without even a drinks order taken while tables were cleared around us. Walked out because we got sick of waiting. Service seriously leaves a lot to be desired at this restaurant. ——————————————————————— I ate here recently and was sadly disappointed for the most part. The bruschetta we received was served on seemingly stale bread that was hard to cut through even with a steak knife. It also lacked flavour and seasoning. However, the main meals were lovely and my main reason for the 3 stars. I gave this feedback to one of the waitresses and was told that the reason the bread was hard was that they make it fresh daily and that it is pressed and toasted. Whatever they do to the bread, it was stale-tasting, and somehow dense and soggy at the same time. I felt this wasn't acknowledged by the service staff when I commented on this, which I was reluctant to do in the first place. I only leave this review because my feedback in person felt dismissed. I'm sure others have had this same experience, especially given some of the defensive replies by the owners to other poor google reviews. With regards to the service, two of the waitresses were friendly, but the other main server seemed disinterested. We were hoping to order more drinks, but this wasn't possible as nobody checked in on our table during service. Our mains were served while we were still halfway through trying to cut the cardboard bruschetta. An awkward shuffle of large plates onto the table next to the unfinished entree ensued. Multiple people were turned away because the restaurant was fully booked while many tables sat empty and uncleared. Customers seated themselves after waiting for prolonged periods without service staff attendance. Some basic front of house and service training would benefit your staff. I will acknowledge that it was a particularly busy night, however it seemed understaffed for the demands and balancing the dine in, take away and gelato customers. I witnessed another poor customer trying to carve his stale bruschetta as I was leaving- I'm sorry I couldn't have warned you sooner brother.

We made a last-minute booking here while in Geraldton and were very glad we did. The team was welcoming and accommodating, even with our young baby in tow — high chair provided without hesitation and zero fuss. The service was warm and efficient throughout. We had vegetarian Puttanesca and Cannelloni, and both dishes were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Great value and a lovely vibe. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit.

Seafood restaurant
Sail Inn Snack Bar is a seafood lover's paradise conveniently located near the waterfront. Their battered snapper and chips are a must-try, with thick, flaky fish and perfectly cooked chips that aren't too oily. The Fish Gurgers are also a hit, featuring big rolls of fish and delicious tartar sauce. Visitors rave about the fresh and tasty food, friendly staff, and convenient location close to the beach.
We have been 2 years between visits. So glad we returned to here while staying in Geraldton. Fish 🐟 and salad 🥗 😋. Thank you, well worth the return visit. Hubby and I share as no way I could eat that meal on my own, huge. Thank you again for supplying an extra plate. Highly recommend a visit for your meal, eat in or take out.

Best place in Gero! Me and my partner have ordered here two days in a row we heard it was good from a guy at work and wow the burgers are the best and the fish and chips is so delicious , the lady at the counter is also so nice and welcoming!! This will definitely be our takeaway choice, <3

Rocked up at 1800 and place was empty, got worried about the quality but decided to order the fishermans baskets still. By 1815 the place was packed and busy, glad we got in before the rush. The food was of great quality and very tasty, was cooked perfectly and the portion was generous. Came with a side salad and some nice dressings. Will be back again for sure.

Friendly staff, even at the end of a busy day. Got 2x fish and chips. Plenty of thick fillets of fish and couldn’t eat it all. Thinking of it, I’m going to eat the leftovers now.
Riki M — Google review
Had fish'n'chips Saturday night. Fish was great but the chips needed to be cooked longer.
Tracey P — Google review
Battered snapper and chip ($16.5 per portion, 2 portions in photo) was good. Fish was thick, flakey and fresh. The batter wasn't too oily. Chips are thick and not dry. The shop is very close to the waterfront so it provides great convenient location for fish and chip near the beach at sunset.

Average fish and chips, have to pay $2 for the tartare sauce. The double cheese burger is better than its fish and chips we feel

Called in and grabbed a fish and chips. One of the best fish and chips I've had in a long time.
