Rundle Mall is the heart of Adelaide’s shopping and social scene, lively and buzzing on both weekdays and weekends. Whether you’re looking for budget finds or premium brands, there’s something for everyone. From fashion and beauty to bookstores and tech, it truly is a one-stop destination. There are plenty of restaurants and quick bites to choose from, including sushi joints, cozy coffee spots, dessert places, and more. It is best explored on foot, with side streets and arcades adding to the charm. Do not miss the iconic sculptures while you are there, especially the famous Mall’s Balls and the bronze pig statues. They are local favorites and perfect for a quick photo. Early mornings around 6 AM are wonderfully calm and peaceful, ideal for a quiet stroll before the city comes alive. At night, the atmosphere remains lively. You may come across a few merry drunks, but they are easy enough to avoid. All in all, a must-visit if you are in Adelaide. Whether you are here to shop, eat, people-watch, or simply soak in the vibe, Rundle Mall delivers.

I was surprised to see how vibrant the RM is on a Sunday. Music, stalls, interactive events. Pretty trees, lots of shade & sunny spots. Interesting shops. Great diversity of people. Everyone friendly, happy. My first visit in a long time. Then had a Chai Latte in Rundle Street. Very relaxing day.
Sandra M — Google review
We dropped by this shopping street that has many malls. There are lots of choices here like fashion, apparel, food, groceries, electronics and more. It was decorated for Christmas during our visit. It's very convenient as we could find what we needed in one place.
S C — Google review
Very beautiful and lively area of the city. Lots of shops and restaurants scattered around the mall. There is a tram stop nearby which is convenient for traveling to and from Rundle.

Adelaide Oval is a modernized sports and entertainment venue with a capacity of 53,500. The stadium's distinctive horseshoe shape and unique roof design make it an iconic landmark. Following restoration, the stadium now hosts a variety of national and international sports events, as well as concerts and functions. The restoration aimed to preserve heritage elements while incorporating modern materials that complement the city's architecture.
Adelaide Oval is easily one of the best venues I’ve ever visited. Every time I’ve been there, it’s been an incredible experience. The atmosphere is electric, whether it’s for a cricket match, footy game, or a live concert. The crowd energy, the views, and the overall vibe make it something special. The facilities are world-class, with great seating, easy access, and plenty of food and drink options. The staff are friendly and always helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. The Oval itself is stunning, especially when it’s lit up at night with the city skyline in the background. What stands out most for me is how well everything is organised — from parking and entry to crowd management and amenities. Every visit has felt smooth and enjoyable. If you’re in Adelaide and haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. It’s not just a venue — it’s an experience. Absolutely the best of the best.
Sunil N — Google review
Great location and has an excellent atmosphere. Went for an AFL match and made plans ahead of time with friends and got there very early so we could access seats. Use a walker and found challenges. There were many free parks closer to venue but disability was still on lawn and after the rain getting through the mud was difficult. In the venue there was a good size ramp to access seating and there was disabled areas. Lucky we got there early to access. Prices are high, which is expected. Accommodates more for able body people which is discouraging as it often makes it too hard to frequent locations like this. If I didn't have assistance I would not be able to venture here and enjoy.

Phenomenal Venue! Adelaide Oval is a Certified Concert Powerhouse! We attended Adelaide Oval for the first time, traveling over from Melbourne for the massive Metallica concert on Wednesday, November 5th. Yes! You guessed it—we came for the metal, and the venue delivered on every single front. For an open-air venue hosting such a huge event, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and layout. Even though the place was packed and absolutely electric with energy, it was remarkably easy to navigate. The facilities and amenities were great, and every staff member on deck for the concert was professional and genuinely helpful. What truly stood out was the atmosphere. For a massive stadium show, the space felt surprisingly intimate, and critically, the sound was truly METAL! The acoustics were fantastic, making the live music experience unforgettable. 🎸🎸🎸⚡⚡⚡ We loved our entire experience at the Adelaide Oval. It's a world-class venue and absolutely the place to catch a show. Thanks for an incredible night!

Great experience browsing Adelaide Oval and before the Biga+ trade show, over 50+ suppliers and hundreds of visitors from all states, excellent experience and exposure for all brands and suppliers.

Adelaide Oval is one of the most picturesque and iconic sports stadiums in the world. Located in the heart of Adelaide, it beautifully blends modern architecture with heritage features. The Oval hosts cricket, AFL, concerts, and major events, and is famous for its lively atmosphere and stunning views of the city and surrounding parklands. It’s a must-visit for sports fans and anyone wanting to experience Adelaide’s vibrant culture.

Nestled on North Terrace, the South Australian Museum is a treasure trove of natural history and Aboriginal culture. This impressive five-story institution houses over four million artifacts, making it a must-visit for anyone interested in Australia’s rich heritage. The museum's extensive collection spans various fields such as biological sciences, archaeology, mineral sciences, and paleontology. Visitors can marvel at everything from taxidermy displays to ancient Egyptian mummies and even dinosaurs!
🏛️Great place for when the weather isn’t good. I visited the free exhibitions and was really impressed. I loved the part of aboriginal history, as you can learn a lot through different media’s. Maps, videos, auto, games and of course the classic showcase. The staff were great as well, helpful, efficient and friendly. I liked the atmosphere, it was quiet and peaceful. It wasn’t full so it was nice to just take your time with the exhibition. There are plenty of car parks very close to it or you just take the public transport which is also great! In the museum there is also a cafe, which was full and very popular. If you are interested in more specific exhibitions then they offer paid admission as well. 25$ to see (currently) the history of the Vikings. I think that’s a pretty fair price. All in all great way to spend a few hours.

What a wonderful museum Adelaide has ! It's main beauty lies in the fact it's still housed in an old building . There are four levels and a mezzanine and all have well set out displays . The main museum is free to enter but donations are accepted to help the museum . The museum hosts speciality displays and these have admission fees . You can go to the museum site to check what is on and admission prices and ticket availability . We started at the top and made our way down to ground level . You can easily spend 4-6 hours at the museum if you are reading information provided at each display . Well worth the visit .

Great place to visit in Delaide, especially if the weather is rainy. The museum is free to visit. Excellent natural history and aboriginal history collections.

What a great place! And no admission fee! So much for the kids to see and explore. The cafe is a little pricey but you expect that. Beautifully kept and laid out. The kids especially loved the discovery room where they could touch and explore things.
Brooke M — Google review
Ideal for a relaxed visit within the city, free entry to some sections in the ground floor, including the one on aboriginals and art. Highly informative. Includes a souvenir shop and cafe.

The Aboriginal portion of the museum is amazing. So much information. Very much enjoyed it. Overall, well curated across all the floors. You can easily visit multiple times.

I didn’t know what to expect. It will change your life. I’m now a fan of Paul Kelly and a follower of the East Kimberly school. Amazing place. I could go back again and again, every few days … if I didn’t live in the UK.

Nestled in the vibrant cultural precinct of North Terrace, the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA) is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. Established in 1881, this stunning gallery boasts an impressive collection of over 38,000 artworks that span various mediums including painting, sculpture, textiles, and more. A highlight is its extensive array of Indigenous Australian art alongside significant pieces from the colonial era.
Really lovely museum with great variety of art. Free entry with a very nice cafe too with outdoor garden area. One of many great things to see along that North Terrace street all close by.
Senan H — Google review
All the good stuff in this gallery was almost ruined by one exhibit in the second room I entered: two horse carcasses, headless, hanging by one leg - truly horrible. I quickly left that room and avoided it on my return. Otherwise, interesting and very varied art and design work throughout this large gallery. Gift shop and café available.
Laura C — Google review
We did the 11.00 am guided tour and it was great she was so knowledgeable you could tell she really loved all the art pieces, i especially loved learning about the illusions in the artworks.
Imogen N — Google review
We visited this at gallery and we were pleasantly surprised by the extensiveness of the art collection. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We checked in our bags at the cloakroom to avoid any issues. There were many interesting pieces, ranging from historic paintings, sculptures and contemporary Aboriginal art. A recommended place to visit while in Adelaide.
S C — Google review
This is a really great art gallery that is free to enter. It has since iconic paintings and sculptures that you can see in my pictures. You probably need a good few hours to see it all.
Natasha G — Google review
They have some different pieces not just art which was interesting to see. Tried to ask the information desk about what are pieces not to be missed while visiting and they were very strange about my question? Bizarre staff. There has been exhibitions on that all stopped at the same time so few areas closed and a HELL of noise because people were drilling and got know’s what. Information was very small, sometimes hard to piece to what art piece, then also no further information just artist and date kind of information. Was just ok for me …
Sam S — Google review
Lots of beautiful, captivating fine art, and a restaurant downstairs that had a delicious vegan dish. There's also some modern art which I generally find ugly and off-putting, but a couple of pieces there were visually interesting.
Daniel B — Google review
Like most state owned art galleries in Australia this gallery is free to visit. Does not require any advance booking. Great for all ages. It has over 45,000 works of art; including impessionist, realistic, relics, renaissance, modernist, egyptian, interative art. It has the biggest collection of Aboriginal and Torres strait, and pre-colonial works. There is a gallery store and coffee shops, so it's a great day trip. Can get to via public transport, and plenty of streets and garage parking.

NanYang Cafe is a relaxed eatery situated in a quiet area, serving up noodle dishes, Chinese roasts, and Malaysian specialties. Located at the back of Renaissance Arcade in Adelaide's main shopping strip, this cash-only cafe attracts a steady stream of customers. It is particularly popular among city workers and university students who often have to wait in line to place their orders.
Michelin star food that's a priority over all else🌟 here we are, a true hidden gem. Everyone was eating dry egg noodles with char siu or duck 🙌 Char'ed taste in the noodles and beef. Chicken moist and tender. There's a reason this restaurant has been around for over 30 years

Found a hair inside of the fried anchovies so we called the staff to show them what we found, the guy was like OOHHH OoHHh, took the dish away, 1 minute later he come back acting like we was the 1 that put the hair in the dish, and say he will either refund me half of what we paid for that dish or take the half finish dish back and eat (with the hair removed). I told him we want a full refund but he refused, no apology and acting super rude. If management is not doing anything about it, we will take it to the health authority. Disgusting service.

Amazing place. Would 100% recommend have been eating here with my family since I was a kid! The service is amazing and the food is equaling as delicious while being affordable.
T N — Google review
The roast pork skin (all of them!) was burnt and inedible and should not have been served to customers. The roast duck was average. Not too bad for the price
Pumpkin W — Google review
A hidden gem in Adelaide CBD, as it is hiding inside a quiet corner of a declining mall in the Rundle Mall. However, they offer amazing food with good favours. Hainan Chicken Rice was in generous portion, and came with oil rice and a chicken soup. It was quite a good deal and delicious. Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice was a big plate of fired rice, not too oily and super yummy. This fried rice was always my faviorite dish in Hong Kong Style Cha Chaan Teng. I was amazed that this Malaysian restaurant could make it so good and so authentic 😋 The Seafood Laksa was good too. The size was reasonable and the flavour was awesome. Two types of noodles was offered in the noodle soup and the laksa soup base was fantastic. The Char Kuay Teow was a bit disappointed, as it was obviously over-cooked and some meats were basically burnt and it tasted a bit bitter overall. Hope they can improve this mistake as it's sad for a customer to receive such a substandard dish and would need to voice out if wanting a replacement. Having said that, overall I was still satisfied as there is lack of good Kong Kong style food / restaurants in Adelaide. Most of the food that NanYang provides are commonly available in Hong Kong Style restaurants, so I would rather classify them as a HK restaurant and I have added it to my favourite restaurant list.
Pat C — Google review
You need to order at the registrar and pay first, before you are assigned a table. We ordered Loh Bak ($10), Laksa with seafood ($19), Char Kuay Teow with beef ($17). Loh Bak skin is very crispy and overall taste good, but the sauce does not seem to have much flavor. Ordered Laksa and Char Kuay Teow mild spicy but they are way more spicy than other restaurant. Laksa has a nice sweet coconut broth but has to remove the extra chilli paste on top of the soup.

no comment. just too damn good. finished everything in 15mins. very authentic. got teleported to malaysia👍🏻 thanks for cooking such amazingly delicious food🫶🏼

The WORST costumer service ever. They made us wait, and gave us a number. We waited patiently for 30 mins and we realised that they skipped us. We informed them and made us sit in another line where the other costumer thought we have cut the line and we asked them to ask the wait staff there. The staff didn’t say anything and embarrassed us after waiting for 40 mins now. So when tried to talk to the staffs they were a complete chaos. Not recommended at all.
