Located at 4 Sowerby Street, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a wonderful bakery and general spot to stop whether you’re a local or stoping for a quick meal travelling through. We were the latter. I had a sausage roll and a coke. It was delicious 😋. The menu is quite extensive for a bakery, plenty to choose from and there is a good cake 🍰 selection. The bakery is located directly across the road from the Big Merino and also has a Motel attached. It’s really well designed with wonderful quotes displayed on the walls and ceiling. There’s ample seating but from what I saw, it’s very popular so the seating can fill up fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a ramp to the side of the building so it’s also accessible and there’s good toilet 🚻 facilities, including disabled toilets. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

Ordered a Chunky steak pie, spinach and feta roll and coffee - latte and piccolo. The pastry was amazing and I reckon one of the best I have had. It was thin and crispy and the sesame on top gave it an amazing roasted taste with great texture. The coffee however was a little disappointing.

Lovely place and delicious foods. 🫰🏻❤️ One person who caught my attention is MOLLY serving as with an attitude of not being polite to customers! It’s been a tradition in Australia to greet customers and to make feel customer feel welcomed. Please train her on how to deliver services with good manner.

We’re from Sydney and stopped by Trappers Bakery in Goulburn during our road trip. The lamington and carrot cake were absolutely delicious, fresh, moist, and full of flavour. It’s such a nice spot for a quick stopover, and the bakery has that classic country charm. The only downside was the service — the staff weren’t very attentive or friendly, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the quality of the baked goods definitely makes it worth a visit!

We enjoyed a stop here after meeting the Big Marino (directly across the road). It was freezing outside so finding a real wooden fire in the corner of this cosy establishment was very welcome. We enjoyed a pie each and some hot chips. Great service and the food was great, well priced too.

Stopped in on the way to Sydney and this place was packed! It’s nice and big inside though, with lots of seating room. I got the veggie pie, a coffee and a berry danish. The place has few vegetarian options and the pie, while filling and full of vegetables, was a tad boring. I hope in the future they branch out and have use vegan meat. Good coffee, but the best thing was the danish. Getting a good pastry these days is hard and this was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Sweet flaky pastry, a custard filling and a sugary berry filling - it’s definitely very sweet, but I delicious! I’d go back for this!

Overall, a nice place for a stopover to take a break from driving. They offer a good choice of food and drinks, and the large restaurant area combined with swift service makes you wish to return. We were unfortunate to run into a major issue with one of the staff members, but the duty supervisor swiftly defused the situation and took appropriate action. The coffee was tasty ☕️

Great fresh, healthy and inviting lunches & great coffee and loose leaf teas - the definite best choice in comparison to McDonalds the other side of the car park. Grit is definitely the far better choice. Friendly staff, cool vibe - food was fab - corn fritters for the thumbs up and I absolutely loved my salad bowl of 3 impressive salads - scrumptious and refreshingly tasty and satisfying.

On our trek from Sydney to Melbourne we stopped in Goulburn for the night and on our way out of town we visited the Grit Cafe. When we arrived it was pretty busy but our party of 6 managed to get a table. We placed our order at the counter and the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the pancakes minus the popcorn because to me it just didn't make sense. My wife ordered the avocado toast. Both orders came out in a timely manner and looked amazing. The whole table were all very pleased with their orders. All the food was fantastic!! The atmosphere was pleasant as well , not loud and very comfortable. If you're passing through Goulburn make it a stop on your list.

2025: Still going strong. I added 1× star, I loved the poached eggs so much. Hidden up the road, nice spot for a cuppa or a bite. Seats inside & out. All-day, breakfast was a hit. Coffee was magic. The 'Big Breakfast is big. Pet friendly outside.

This is the place to go if you would like to make a brief stop on your way to Sydney/Melbourne driving on M31 ;) nice food and coffee, and service is always great and fast!

Food ok but terrible customer service. Teenage girl at counter, zero smile or greeting, barely any eye contact. Took the wrong order and overcharged me by $20. I only realised after I paid. She grudgingly refunded and charged the correct account with zero eye contact, apology, or any kind of personality. Some basic friendliness would go a long way.

Fantastic peri peri chicken burger, one of the best I've had. Coffee was excellent, service great, and reasonable prices. Also great for people with allergies, very accommodating.

This is definitely the best coffee between Melbourne and Brisbane. Great breakfast roll too. Fresh! Doggo could sit with us in area outside. Well staffed so we were replenished and on the road quickly. Thanks Grit!

Welcome to “Australia’s Statue of Liberty.” You’ve seen the Pyramids and the Eiffel Tower, but nothing prepares you for the majesty of The Big Merino. It’s a giant concrete sheep, complete with a wool museum and a gift shop, and yes. Seriously definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Stopped on our way to Geelong. Impressive statue. Took some snaps, had breakfast at Trappers Bakery, fuelled up and continued with the journey. Plenty of parking and other restaurants nearby. If you are planning a trip between NSW and Victoria make this place as your pit stop.

This exquisite gift shop boasts an extensive selection of items, particularly focussing on high-quality woollen garments and accessories. The shop’s commitment to Australian-made products is commendable, providing an ideal platform to procure distinctive souvenirs. The staff’s exceptional kindness and helpfulness were evident throughout my visit. While searching for a specific dog coat, I was delighted to discover the Digeridoona line. The staff kindly suggested that I bring my dog into the shop for a fitting, which proved to be a valuable assistance, especially considering the chilly winds of Goulburn outside.

Great place to stop and relax with many shops around. It was a busy corner with the traffic coming in and out from the petrol station. The Big Merino Gift Shop had a nice collection of woollen clothes, souvenirs and hand made items.

It is a good place to stop and get some food and coffee. There is a huge statue of sheep, a tourist attraction. There is a gift shop adjacent to the sheep statue. The prices at this shop are a bit higher than normal. It also has a variety of jams and honey. Parking is not a problem. You can have a picture around the statue.

This was well worth a lunch stop off while driving down the Hume Highway. The location is outstanding and original - the high ceilings, building and seating areas were a real highlight. Very nice and cool on a hot day. The drinks were good, we got a cappuccino and an iced coffee. The food was hearty and the service was great. The chicken burger was definitely a bit dry. The lasagna was tasty but it was a pity to have salad or chips as an option (rather than both). The prices were a bit steep but not too bad.

My partner, friends, and I were driving from Canberra to Wollongong and stopped here for breakfast. The staff were really friendly, and there was a great variety of menu options, pies, and salads. I had the roses meat pie with Caesar salad — the pie was full of flavour and sauce, absolutely delicious! My only mistake was ordering a saucy salad with it (They even provided sauce on the side, but I accidentally poured all of it in 🥲), as the pie itself was already rich and tasty. My partner and friends also enjoyed their meals. Definitely worth the stop!

We always stop on our way to Beechworth to this place, staff is incredibly friendly. The place is lovely inside out and dog friendly coffee is superb and it easily has the best Reuben sandwich that I've had in my life.!

Deli-café in huge historic school hall off the main street. A bit noisy due to original timber floor. Gorgeous high pressed metal ceiling. Friendly staff offering great service & good food. Order & pay at counter then items brought to table. Modern clean toilet facilities. Great for a stop when passing through.

Great food presented really well and tastes great as well. I had eggs Benedict and a friend had smashed avo. Can get really busy. Love the converted church or school hall.

It’s hard to imagine there’d be a better cafe than The Roses in Goulburn. Absolutely outstanding food and service. Very well priced and food was cooked to perfection. A special shout out to the young lass who saw that I had left my mobile phone on the table and grabbed me as we were leaving. Well done to all the staff; they were amazing.

Fantastic lunch with the charm and character one misses these days. Our server, of mature years, was delightful, helpful and efficient without being overly attentive. Our meals were generous and delicious. Loads of chicken in the salad and the pattie substantive. Looved the beetroot. The lunch special included a slice of cake and a drink. Everything was at the comfy booth in perfect time. All this at an incredibly reasonable price, even before the 10% cash discount. We'll be back 😀

My fiance and I have eaten here twice during our stay in goulburn, and the food was fantastic. Serving sizes were large and delicious. Paragon will be a must stop for us while we are on our way through Goulburn again.

I would highly recommend the Paragon Cafe! Staff are super friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and service is super fast. My order came in 5 minutes and my mums in about 10. Both our food was delicious and my chips came with my own bottle of tomato sauce. Which I loved! No more tiny little portions of tomato sauce.

We stumbled on this place during a one night stopover in Goulburn and boy are we glad we did! The service was friendly, the food was delicious with generous portions and I love booth dining! You can tell this place is an historical icon for a reason! Also for anyone searching for a proper old-school vanilla malt milkshake, this is your place! (So many cafes these days have never even heard of malt!). Good luck picking from the dessert menu too. I wanted one of everything. Whenever I am staying in Goulburn I won’t be eating anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Stopped by Belmore Park while visiting the court nearby. It’s a beautiful, historic park with well-maintained gardens, vibrant flower beds, and a stunning old tree that adds to its charm. The park also has a lovely water fountain and a great playground for kids. A peaceful spot to relax and take in a bit of Goulburn’s history!

Belmore Park is absolutely beautiful. Whether you want to walk through the park and look at the lovely flowers beds, just sit in the shade and read a book or watch the world go by Belmore Park is the place to go. Kids love the playground area and it's very popular with families.

This is a beautiful park in the heart of Goulburn. Great place to stop for a picnic as one is driving from Sydney to Gundagai. Beautiful roses, shady. Just a lovely resting or stopping place. Cafe across the street, historical court house across the street on Montague. Plenty of parking.

A very cute and lively green park in the middle of Goulburn. Its flowers beds are filled with tiny cute flowers. Huge trees provide shades to picnic goers. Picnic tables and amenities available. Kids play ground, Arboretum and toilet facilities good.

First off this is a must visit if you are coming through Goulburn! Myself and my co-worker stayed up in Goulburn for work for two weeks, and the service here at Goulburn Workers Club was superb. From the beautiful interior to the many spaces you can dine this place had it all. I would like to especially thank Deborah! For her amazing service to us and making us feel welcome and like a locals while we were there. To top it off the food was delicious and great prices. Also there was always something to do there during week nights as they held bingo, trivia, darts etc all week.

The meal was ok but the sauces tasted like they came out of a packet. How can you serve an expensive steak with a packet mix/caterers blend sauce????? A late 1900’s club used to serve that up, get with the times! Gravy masquerading as Diane Sauce…. disgusting and cheap and nasty

Definitely the pick of the clubs in Goulburn. Drinks are waayyy cheaper than the Soldiers Club (like $6 a spirit) Staff are great we enjoyed drinks and cocktails and kicked on all night. Thanks guys.

Stopped for a meal whilst overnighting in Goulburn. Impressed by friendly staff and service. A God selection of meals at reasonable prices. I was very happy with my meal, cooked to perfection 👌 The Bistro Area is spacious and quiet, perfect for enjoying a good meal.

Steak on special but inedible. If you can’t cook it,or the meat is poor quality ,don’t serve it. I had spring rolls(2) for $16. Greasy, just minced pork and no flavour. Did not complain( other reviews show what appears to be an unacceptable attitude from staff) but took the remainder home for the dog. Waste of money.

Came here for the first time passing through, I have to say….the service is exceptional!!! From the lady at the front entrance to the gentleman taking my order at the bistro area all lovely!!!! Very worthwhile having dinner here. Considering becoming a member as I travel regularly from Sydney to Canberra. $20 steaks on Mondays and Tuesdays!!! Drinks well priced.

Couldn't even get in. Came with a valid international driver's licenses and told to come back with something in English. Offered no other help or explanation. All necessary information was on the ID was readable and the employee did not even want to talk to us about it.

Hi Soldiers Club, I usually love your food and we often have dinners with you but today I noticed your dining area is empty and now I believe I know why. I got my pork ribs and they were raw. I appreciate the refund you gave me but something needs to change in your kitchen because my partner and I went to the workers club after loosing confidence in your food and everyone is here. Also we paid $17 for 5 meatless wings as an entree… just for some perspective that’s $3.40 per meatless cold wing. It’s currently $14 for half a kg at the workers club. Please be better. We won’t be back until you’ve sorted out your bistro.

This is a lovely community facility. We stayed in Goulburn for a night and went to the club for dinner. It is a good place to eat and is quite busy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and, with membership, food and drinks are excellent value. We had a relaxing evening there and beautiful meals. We have eaten here before when travelling through and recommend it.

So disappointed with this club it looks so beautiful online and in person it really is stunning but honestly they should hand you a list of rules when you enter, or maybe a list of what you can do! Upon entering the receptionist was amazing and so friendly but it ended there. We are interstate visitors so we do not know the lay of the land, we were there for a birthday celebration. Firstly we were snapped at for our niece (3) entering the smokers area to see her Poppy, obviously we were not staying in there with her but the lady pretty much yelled at us to get children out of the area, so we scooped her up and went inside, still not good enough the same lady pretty much herded us like sheep saying not far enough go to the other side of the club the child can't be here, upon getting to the 'child' friendly part of the club, we missed the announcement about the 1 minute silence most likely due to being told off about the 'child', so we were then ordered to holt and shushed by a local at the bar, obviously we were not aware of the 1 minute silence every day at 6pm, we are NOT local and there is ZERO signage about this. So we obviously were very sorry and remained still and silent. We went to the playground for a safe place for the 'child' that had been yelled at twice now, only to be told to buy socks, then no alcohol in the area, where there is signage to say children must be supervised, so I stayed soft drink in hand only to be marched out for having glass, are you actually kidding me at this point?! No plastic cups available so you must supervise with no beverage of any kind in hand. So dinner, don't even think of using a members card for multiple orders because thats a big no no too, at this point everyone is over the rules and the can do and can't dos of this club. Try enjoy your meal in the sweltering heat of the club, we think the hotter it is the more people will drink, its the only reason we could think of for making people sweat balls during dinner! Then there are the hovering staff wanting to take you drink glasses as soon as you've had the last sip and the plate as soon as you put your knife and fork down, and saying 'hi friends can we clear the table' doesn't make it ok or cute, just no. This is a one and done, it was not our first choice and will never be our choice again should we return to the area. Not a pleasant experience at all unfortunately. We did try to chat about it on our way out but were fobbed off by the wait staff who did seem very busy and under staffed and frankly it was too damn hot to try find someone to care.

Goulburn Soldiers Club was a great club to visit. Joining cost $3 but it paid for itself through the night. The restaurant/bistro was amazing. I got a Snitty Burger (it was huge and great value for money), my partner had the Caesar Salad the only comment was the lettuce could have been cut a little smaller. But there was plenty of chicken, croutons, cheese and bacon.

Had a chicken kebab which is quite expensive at $17, considering it only has Lettuce, onion and a bit of chicken on it. Garlic sauce costs extra. No seasoning at all, very bland taste. I wouldn't go back.

Honestly don't know what the negative reviews are about. The food was hot, didn't take too long and was decently tasty. The interior looked pretty bare bones but that's not the point of the review. It was pretty expensive though at A$17 per kebab without any extras.

Very plain and expensive kebab. I had a chicken kebab with garlic sauce. It came with lettuce, onion and tomato and cost $17 It was very bland and the chicken was tasteless. I definitely wouldn't recommend the chicken kebab.

Ordered a mixed snackpack, shop was super busy, you'd think I'd get somewhat fresh food.... The meat was cold, the chips were colder. Paid $1 extra for extra garlic sauce, barely any on there. If I wasn't on a time constraint would have brought it back for a refund. Had a couple of bites and threw it out. Just go to maccas, at least if the food is cold there you only paid half the amount you would have here.

$17 for 5 meatless cold wings, no help from the staff, use to come here regularly but will definitely reconsider next time. Rest of the lunch was normal but don’t like being ripped off.

My 'well done' steak was almost mooing on the plate it was so red inside - so that was disappointing. It came out quickly, but that was because it wasn't cooked properly. There was red juices on the plate and inside the steak and there should not be if it's well done. I did not enjoy it as a result and my husband ate half. Nothing particularly stood out to my husband or I on the menu - we were disappointed that there is no mixed grill. Sweet potato chips with aioli would be a nice addition as well as another veggie heavy meal like an eggplant lasagne or something. One of our kids had the macaroni cheese burger and thought it was good but the cheese overwhelmed the flavour of the patty and rest of the burger. The kids cheeseburger was good, and the chips were pretty good. The chicken sliders were nice. The staff were friendly. The dining area was largely tidy. The kids play area is good, but that's not really Diggers. Edit: We went back 9 months later to meet friends. My son had a hair in his meal but ate it anyway, minus the hair. My diggers burger was good. Very filling. Mys husband cut his burger in half to make it easier to eat and noticed that pretty much all the lettuce was on one side. The meals were filling. The wait staff were pleasant and clearly announced what meals they'd brought out.

$20 for a snitzel burger & chips that wasnt nice was a lot of money. Chicken was greasy, cheese wasnt nice & chips looked & tasted like they were the cheapest frozen chips you can buy from the supermarket. Staff were friendly & helpful, club was very clean & had a nice atmosphere about it. The kids play area was excellent & my kids loved playing in it

This is a really efficient Bistro and the food is restaurant class!! You have to have your table number BEFORE you line up which is a really good idea: otherwise you're scratching to go back to a find a table after you've ordered or before you ordered and you hold up the whole queue!! Great menu variety something for everyone gluten free and vegetarian options abound! Comfy seating, plenty of lovely little nooks to find and the bar is really close it's quite pleasant and quiet. The ordering process is quick and efficient and the delivery is very quick vy friendly lovely, helpful staff.

Hugely Disappointing Experience at Subway Goulburn… I usually love Subway — I eat it at least once a week, and it’s often the highlight of my lunch break. But after my recent visit to the Goulburn drive-through location, I’m honestly questioning if I’ll bother going back. I pulled into the drive-through and sat there for a solid 10 minutes before the staff member even acknowledged I was there. No apology, no sense of urgency, just attitude over the speaker like I was somehow the inconvenience. Not a great start. But it got worse. I ordered my usual sub, expecting the same fresh, satisfying meal I always enjoy…oh boy was I wrong… only to open it and find the sandwich completely cut in half on both sides to the point where everything fell out. All my fillings ended up in my lap. I was left eating basically just bread with sauce, and having to awkwardly pick up stray pieces of meat and salad one by one just to get something in me. Because I was in the drive-through, I had no way of returning or speaking to staff by the time I noticed. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, and to be honest — it ruined my dinner. Subway Goulburn, this was a seriously poor effort. I expect more — especially from a brand I usually trust and enjoy. This location needs new management or to be shut down !!!

Poor customer service and very rude staff members. We tried to order one wrap and one southern style chicken bites but the quantity we got was very low as they did not want to serve us properly. No vegetarian options was also there. Need to improve the quality of their customer service a lot.

My partner and I had ordered on the app about 40 mins prior to getting to the store. When I walked in I stood waiting patiently to the side while the two workers finished with other customers. When they finally acknowledged me they insisted that no such order had come through, which obviously meant that it had not been made yet. A little disappointing because the point of ordering online is to have it ready for pick up lol. When our order had finally been found, the younger worker began making them, I could see her throwing it together in an angry manner. Kind of embarrassing to watch honestly because I stayed patient and respectful the whole time. When we were given our food we were met with bluntness and hostility from the young girl who had messed up our order. I don’t expect to be begged for forgiveness but a tiny bit of respect should be obvious. The ingredients were also not even on the bread when I opened the package after getting back on the road. PLEASE LEARN TO MAKE A SANDWICH IF YOU'RE GONNA WORK AT SUBWAY. and learn to treat deserving customers with some decency.

Had an great experience at this subway. The staff was amazing. Though quite busy being only two staff members behind the counter, the staff didn’t forget to put a smile on their face while serving. To improve the service further they might need more staff as it ocassuonally gets quite busy.

The staff were friendly and the service and my gluten free wrap were really good. We were there at 11:50 and there was nobody else there. However I was shocked at how dirty every table and the floor was. It could not have been swept or mopped today. The one rubbish bin was overflowing. The toilet was ok, other than there was no paper in the paper towel dispenser. And all this just before any lunch rush ☹️

This place is very dirty. Toilet has sauce stains on the wall and does not look like it’s been cleaned in a long time. The eating area is dirty. It also seems the air con is broken which is fine but the state of the vent is a health hazard. Please fix this. Food was ok.

Understaffed, and they don’t listen to your order. They put salt and pepper when we said no. Ruined the whole sandwich. No cookies in the display cabinet but apparently plenty under the bench?? Place is dirty, bin was overflowing and staff stood around chatting about when they are clocking off. Could’ve emptied the bin instead… No paper towel in the bathroom. If you’re on a road trip, go to maccas, red rooster or KFC instead, don’t bother with this place. PS: one of the workers clearly had a big night last night and showed up to work with a giant hickey on her neck. Like come on. At least try to cover it up. Went to the red rooster near bunnings as the chicken cooked was better than in town. Ordered 12 pack fried chicken and asked to make sure 4 of the pieces were thighs. Ensured server understood as did not acknowledge request as only gave blank look. Looks like should have checked order before leaving store as got plenty of chicken wing pieces but no thigh pieces. Second time same server got order wrong. What has happened to the quality, care and service? Red rooster used to have the best chicken and chips but no longer.

Firstly, it was hard to find the place as google maps kept directing us inside the shopping centre. When we finally found the store, we were hoping we could dine in there as a family of 5 as we did not want to do any dishes at the motel after driving for 6hrs. Consequently, we ordered the fried pack and some additional items on the menu. Along with the fried pack was a 1.5 litre coke which we hoped to share while dining. After about 30 minutes of waiting and the children excited to try Red Rooster right then and there, we were told they don't have cups. How the hell are we gonna drink the litre of coke? Plus there were no plates with the order too. They knew it was a group meal, shouldn't it be automatic to give plates and cups? They did not even offer any suggestions or explanation as to why they don't have cups: is it the norm or they ran out, we don't know. They just unapolegitically said no cups. So we just went back to the motel and ate. Adding to our disappointment was the food itself: everything was too salty! My husband and I knew it was too salty as we always have Red Rooster in Melbourne. Definitely not coming back to Red Rooster Auburn

My partner stopped here on the way back to Sydney and has had the worst cases of food poisoning I have ever seen. He waited 15 minutes in the drive through and food was cold when he got it. Please be aware of eating here as it's a heath and safety risk.

It took 1 hour 35mins for my food to be delivered. My food was cold and ruined I ended up throughing it away. My drink must have been dropped or thrown into the bag as it went everywhere when I opened it. Has to be the worst experience I have ever had from a Red Rooster store. Waste of time and money.

I have had Red Rooster delivered a couple of times now and have been disappointed every time. Delivery takes forever (I live a five minute walk away) and is always cold by the time it is delivered. Today I thought I would give you another go by actually going in to the store, Auburn St. GOULBURN. Wrong move. There was only one other person waiting and three visible staff. Eventually one staff member managed to come to the counter to serve him and then went back to the prep area. I stood and waited for several more minutes in the vain hope that I would be served soon. No such luck. No one even acknowledged my presence let alone made an effort to serve me. Looks like a hamburger for dinner tonight. Will I ever go back? Not a hope in hell.

'Fast Food'???? Pfftt Terrible customer service, nobody was acknowledged for ages even though they were just cleaning and the food took forever. I could have raised the chicken and cooked it faster than their efforts.

An interesting war memorial and museum. Before coming here, we did not know at all that there were soldiers from Goulburn who contributed and risked their lives for several wars that happened throughout history. Unfortunately, the museum was closed when we came on Thursday (their opening days are weird). Also, the memorial tower was on renovation. There is a scenic lookout that overlooks the Goulburn city, it was pretty beautiful. There is a picnic bench and I think we saw a walking track as well. We did not stay until sunset hour, but I bet the view of the sunset would be stunning from up here.

Great war memorial in the Goulburn Hills. Stairs to the top are adorned with information boards. Awesome views from the top. Parking is plentiful as well as mobility parking. Beware of snakes signs on display. A museum is on-site as well.

Beautiful views of Goulburn township and the surrounding hills. The tower is open again after being closed for a few months, there are a few flights of stairs to get to the top but it's worth it ! The adjacent war museum was great too.

This is a very good memorial and unusual being a tower with a great view from the top and contains interesting photos and a grand Marble Honor Roll. There is also a museum and Heritage Cottage on the same site well worth visiting with a gift shop. Well worth the donation suggested for entry.

Great place to visit to see historic trains and the round yard. Friendly staff who were happy to chat about the locomotives and the items on display. We got there late with only 1/2 before closing, but we still got to see most of the displays. Would recommend visiting if you're in the Goulburn area.

The Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre is the main precipice of the railway centric town of Goulburn. Although I wasn’t fortunate enough to see any of the engines up And running, I was still amazed by what their collection of preserved locomotives had to offer. I even met a volunteer who actually met The Flying Scotsman during her Australian tour in 1988 when stopping at Goulburn. This museum is an absolute must visit when you’re on holidays in this very historic town.

Nice place visit! Pretty reasonable entry fee. Good informative chat with the ticket office. You just need to be more like a train or engine enthusiast to find more value.

What a great place to visit and wander around. Loved how we could go into a couple of the trains and see what it's like in them. Great friendly staff that would help you or answer any questions you had,a 10/10 experience

One of the greatest book stores between Canberra and Brisbane! A HUGE selection of books, everything you can think of. Great building too, the old police station, still equipped with the cells and all.

I went when I was in Goulburn and had an amazing experience! I love vinyl collecting and there were boxes upon boxes of vinyl and a record player to test if they worked. I got to add some CDs I have been searching for. I would recommend going if you are a collector or just have a general interest.

The Argyle Emporium (The Old Police Station) was amazing 🤩 It had such a large variety of books, records, collectables, magazines, comics and other quirky stuff ✔️👌 It was so big, it felt like you were walking through a maze from each section to the next. 🤩 The guy was super helpful and knew where all the books 📚 were, which was simply amazing considering how many books & collectables were in the Emporium. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you want THAT book that you can’t find anywhere else, you will %100 find it here! #amazing

A glorious experience, and it's hard not to come out with something... May not even be a book! In winter, I can't stress enough the need to go in dressed warm. Jackets and gloves if you want to enjoy getting lost. A spectacular book shop, an absolute joy.

Coffee was tops. Clean and inviting. Lovely french type pastries. Scrambled eggs was ok, maybe make them a little more buttery. Unfortunately they do not have croissants 🥐 and they don't make omelettes. First cafe that doesn't step outside the square to accommodate diary needs even though a simple egg and cheese omelette is easy to make. The pastries really look good. It was very busy with a constant stream of customers. You will enjoy coming here.

My toasted croissant was excellent . Coffee also was made precisely as requested and both arrived promptly with the cheerful delivery woman. Good accessible Cafe aoart from one section uo three stairs. Plenty accessible as well as the toilet. Shout out to these guys because they chased me down the road to let me know I'd left my bag in the cafe . Mist thankful!

Saturday morning and I got my coffee quite quickly and it was really great. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. Large servings too, couldn't eat it all!

I was in Goulburn for training for two weeks and stopped in every morning for my coffee. Every time I enters the cave I was greeted with a good morning and smile. Pretty much by the time I left the point of sale to walk to the end of the counter, my coffee was made and ready to go. By the third day my order was already remembered and entered without me asking. The coffee was delicious and perfect temperature. I only wish I had the time to sit in and have breakfast to take in the relaxed environment. Well done guys!

Park St Cafe has to one of the best coffee spots I’ve come across in a while. The coffee was smooth, rich, and made just right! Not burnt. You can tell they know what they’re doing. The vibe of the place is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. If you live in Goulburn you truly have a gem here! Sad Im only stopping through and cant experience this cafe a little longer!

Excellent! We stopped for coffee and cake on a road trip, and it was a wise choice 👌 The cake display was magnificent, plus the Cafe also served breakfast & lunch ( the menu had plenty of house made options - pasta of the day, quiche of the day etc.). The coffee was hot and had great flavour, the staff were lovely and friendly and the Black Forest Cake was delish 😋 Highly recommended!

We had dinner of gluten free pizza and breakfast of eggs Benedick. The pizza were great. The hot pizza was not spicy at all but still good. The eggs Benedict was very good just not generous.

It's been a good 10 years since I've eaten here. The place looks amazing and the prices for food are certainly reasonable. The buckets of beer are also great value and cheaper than what you'd pay at other places. Food tasted amazing, had the meatlovers medium pizza, which was a very generous serving 😋 👌. Missed out on 5 stars, unfortunately, as they failed to bring out the garlic bread that I ordered. 😕

I’m not a fan of food that comes to your table in plastic. The Bircher muesli was excellent, rich with yoghurt a strawberry and raspberry, nuts and oats. With a cup of English breakfast tea it’s a good way to kick off your day. The almond croissant was buttery and flakey. And check out Bella, a little robot that delivers the dishes to your table. A good spot when stopping by in Goulburn.

A unique gem in Goulburn: part cycle shop, part cafe, part fresh food grocer, part restaurant -- and all of it dished out with friendly service and good value. We enjoyed an excellent lunch of Pasticio (penne lasagna) and a chicken schnitzel -- absolutely delicious, gorgeously fresh, and massively portioned. Next time we visit we will definitely try the pizzas: they looked incredible. Thank you, Vicki and your entire team!

Nice big place. Great if you cycle with wash basins for you. Arrived there at 3:30pm after a stretch on the road. Can say the staff was pleasant and accomodating with the food we order. The coffee was ok but for sure the Barrista that day the dude needs an attitude fix. Suspect he was the owner as the kitchen was 1 minute closed and he asked the staff to try and sell us pizzas instead. Douche plus was not polite at all serving coffees. Have to give credit to the staff but not the douchebag owner.

Had wonderful lunch on the weekend. Service was excellent. We spilled ice coffee on the floor accidently. They cleaned up right away even though it was very busy and brought new coffee. The portion for the pasta was big. Fresh homemade pizza was nice too.

When passing through Goulburn, it's worth taking a moment to stop, look around, and enjoy a short walk if you have the time. It's peaceful and beautiful! You can see black swans relaxing in the river while the warm sun bathes you in calmness.

Popped in after the excellent river walk. Unfortunately the cafe was closed as it was not a steaming day. Even so, the kids loved the play area, and the gardens were lovely. The big kid (me) loved looking at the boilers. At first, I thought the museum was also closed. However, on pressing the call bell, a gentleman appeared unlocked the pump house and was a wealth of knowledge. Well worth a visit after the river walk and a must if you are a steam buff and want to see a working beam engine.

Hidden gem in Gulburn. Fun fact: The steam powered pump is the oldest in the southern hemisphere in its original location. If you are driving by the town must stop for a quick visit. Michele the volunteer there was very kind and helpful in showing us around.

It's free to visit the waterworks building and museum. The interior of the museum is not big , but it is fascinating, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable . There is just so much to learn. If you visit out of peak periods, when you walk up to the water works museum there is a buzzer you can press that will call a guide who will come to meet you and give you the option of a tour. This is what we did when we saw the building was closed There is a free carpark here and a beautifully maintained garden, with benches throughout were you can sit and take in the scenery. Wheelchair accessible parking and entry, plus bathrooms which are wheelchair accessible as well At the entry of the water works is a lovely picnic area with BBQ grills and tables, swings and toilets

Absolute must to see. beautifully restored machinery and building constructed in BC a time when their was a desire to make all buildings no matter if utilitarian a aesthetically pleasing as well

The Waterworks were just amazing 🤩 The lady was so helpful and told us about the history of the Waterworks and even showed us through the venue. The gardens were amazing and were maintained very well. It would be an amazing spot to have a picnic 🧺 at because there is a grass and water spot next to it. Also be CAREFUL OF SNAKES 🐍

One of, if not the worst, margarita pizza I have ever eaten. Absolutely no flavour, made extremely cheap, but they are happy to charge $23. My partner and I couldn't even finish half of it. Disgusting. Do not waste your money; go anywhere else.

I would have gotten a better pizza at dominoes. Dough was raw and soggy and it took an hour to make 2 pizzas. One of the staff was swearing and carrying on in the back while I was there with my 7 year old. Never going back there again.

Cosy and a local’s regular. So glad they can cook without MSG. Make sure you ask. The crunchy beef we returned for. Sadly we don’t travel to this region often but we have a regular place to eat at now when in this area! Second time here and we were well satisfied. The cooks (family biz?) are from Malaysia, which is a relief because whatever they turned out is perfect and nostalgic for those who are used to Malaysian food. The king prawns are really king prawns btw! Holy. Huge and they have been generous with portions. The fish was well cooked. The veg perfect. Thank you!

I use to love Mandy’s but after my last visit I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The service is always good and I love the atmosphere in the restaurant but the food was terrible! Normally it’s alright but this time the food was almost burnt. It was like everything was cooked in a dirty, burnt wok. Very disappointing as I was having Chinese as a treat and now feel I wasted all those bad carbs for nothing.

The food was okay, but the asian lady in charge was rude. She slammed the plate down and barely spoke to us. It seemed like she was only friendly to people she knew.We still thanked her when we left, but she didn't even acknowledge us. It felt like she was more welcoming to white people than Asians 🤔. definitely not coming back

The honey king prawns were the worst I have had and not hot. They were all stuck together sadly the batter was thick too. The Szechuan chicken and fried rice was awesome. The young girl who took my order was lovely and friendly. Maybe next time I’ll eat there but took it away as hotel I was staying at didn’t offer food so took it back there to eat.

They say don’t judge a book by its cover, even though the waiter ( assume Mandy’s son) was wearing gray tracksuit pants who a little disinterested in us but then the food came and we were surprised how nice it was, a constant stream of people picking up Take away orders showed how popular it was, the young waiter and I assume his older brother were lovely after we warmed to them, it’s not fancy but the food speaks for itself and it was bloody good, we are definitely going back!

Decent Chinese food. Cosy inside. We had the lunch special. The selection was of the familiar Aussie Chinese. We had the Singapore noodles with chicken $12.90 and Mongolian beef with rice $12.90. Both were acceptable considering it's a small city.

5 stars from our side. Visited this Cafe on our trip from Sydney to Canberra. We ordered coffee's and potato wedges for us and pancakes and chicken nuggets with chips for our kids. Food was so yummy and fresh. Kids loved their pancake so fresh and tasty. Too many options in menu. Very friendly and helpful staff. Inside ambience was so good. Must visit Cafe if you are in Goulburn. We will be back next time for sure.

Been to Cafe 5911 twice recently and had an amazing experience each time. We loved that there were lots of vegetarian/vegan options which were all delicious. The smoothies, juices and coffee were also great. There was outside seating so we could also bring our pup. Most memorable of all, however, was the incredible service. The owner was so generous and kind that after our first visit, we had to come back again. Highly recommend!

Well i didn't eat there but ordered a malt vanilla thickshake.. easy request. I had to go in and ask for it ... after 20 minutes. Upon receiving it .. was a milkshake not a thickshake Did the right thing nicely returned to and said they would replace it. Second one was basically a milkshake again.. so gave up. Don't go here for thick shakes...

OMG yuck. i wasn't feeling well so I felt like eating indian spicy pakora so i ordered. pakora price was $13.50 for 4 small size pakora n found long hair when I took a bite I fell something n I pull out long hair n can't say it's mine because i have very short hair.I'm sorry but I couldn't stop vomiting.please be careful cover Ur head wear cap it's not good

After reading positive reviews we decided to had our dinner at this place. The place is good but frankly speaking i do not like the ambience and food. Reception area is pretty dark and chairs are also pretty old and dirty. We ordered chicken tilkka in starters with moscato for me and white wine for my husband; chicken tikka masala, daal fry , roti and jeera rice in main course. Chicken tikka was marinated well but missing some kicking flavours. In main course, chicken tikka masala was prepared in ghee(may be); it was extreme heavy and too much oily. I managed to eat my roti with some chicken curry but did not have courage to get more and finished it with daal and rice. My husband had half roti and was unable to eat the remaining as chicken curry was so greasy! May be it was not our day :(

We contacted the restaurant 15 minutes before closing to ask if they could accommodate a take away and they obliged. Very courteous team. Great job. Will definitely come back!

I pass through Goulburn several times a year, but for the first time, I found out through Google Maps that there is a magnificent church in this town! The exterior is very beautiful, but because it is not an open day, I can only watch and take pictures from the outside.

Absolutely stunning piece of architecture. Really liked the high vaulted timber ceiling and all the beautiful motifs distributed throughout the entire cathedral. Well worth a visit if you're in town!

A beautiful building looks original. The welcoming volunteers were full of knowledge and quite happy to help enjoyed our visit there. The architecture design was fabulous. There were a lot of detail on pattern, statue and the stained glass windows were magnificent.

Our program is big, bold and full of ideas that will provoke conversation and connection to the work of the artists we work with. We are a cultural facility of Goulburn Mulwaree Council. We are open six days a week with exhibitions that present what is happening now in Australian contemporary art across two gallery spaces. Our exhibitions inspire our education and outreach initiatives which engage everyone from littlies under five years old to senior members of our community. We run programs everyday both at the Gallery and on the road. We actively acquire works for our permanent collection and commission new work for our public art program. We are located at the Civic Centre on Bourke Street, but our accesible entrance is via Church Street. Admission is always free and the Gallery Store is fully stocked with a carefully curated selection of artisan items, as well as our Gallery tote bags and catalogues. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of these lands and custodians of country. Everything we do is for our artists and for our community. I needed an extra large and extra special Birthday cake for a function in Goulburn yesterday- we’re from Batemans Bay and the amazing Cheryl and staff at Bryant’s Bakery accepted the challenge over the phone! They went above and beyond to make an amazing chocolate mud cake with cream and names piped on top that I was able to collect at a time that fitted in with the busy weekend of soccer in Goulburn. I highly recommend Bryant’s Bakery’s for the amazing service and also the delicious food. Thank you

Busy friendly cafe. Had coffee and apple turnover. Coffee good and hot. Turnover to die for! Light fluffy pastry, lightly sweetened apple foilling with a dusting of icing sugar. Absolute highlight of my early morning drive.

Android Pay over VISA works here. Don't get the aloha burger (chicken wasn't great: seemed microwaved and not crispy). Chicken Caesar roll was delicious though.

Ruined our young man's 21st. We ordered a half slab chocolate sponge, with icing, a month in advance. Nothing complicated. Cost was over $100. It was our mother's contribution to the 21st and we were very clear and simple with instructions when ordering. The only change was a few days before the party where we asked specifically for the icing to be flat, not combed with a pattern. Picked it up on the day (Saturday) and got it home out of the rain only to find the sides had not been iced. Just icing on top. Then discovered it was a plain sponge, not chocolate, as ordered (we were clear about this - they said at the time "chocolate mud?". We said no, just chocolate sponge". Called to complain and the woman seemed empathetic, said she was really angry with the baker and that the front-of-house staff are the ones who always have to deal with angry customers when the baker does this kind of thing. She agreed a refund was more than fair. She could not find our original order - it had been thrown out by them. They said they would speak to the baker and get him to call us back as it was his "stuff-up". They tried to call back once that day but the party had already started. When the cake was brought out with candles lit, it was an embarrassment to the whole family and we had to explain to the guests that the bakery had neglected to ice the sides and that it was meant to be chocolate - the birthday boy's favourite. Our mother called Bryant's first thing Monday, asking for a refund for the cake. They had since found the original order in the bin and said that as we had not specifically ordered icing on the sides, our pensioner mother was not entitled to a refund and essentially said it was our own fault. Who would EVER have thought you would need to ASK for sides to be iced on a cake? Have you ever seen one NOT iced on the sides that has been "professionally" done? They advised they would speak to someone to see if something could be done but never got back in contact with our mother. How disgraceful that this local, "family" business would treat customers this way. A family that had supported them for decades. Ought to be ashamed of themselves. We will never spend a cent there ever again.

A great bakery with the most delicious spinach rolls!

Bryants Pies and Bakery in Goulburn have been around for about fifty years, always been a good place to get a pie or sausage roll, also a great selection of other cakes and sweet pies/tarts and slices. They have a range of different drinks and coffee, worth stopping by instead of bypassing the town and on a good day you can sit in the nearby park and enjoy your food.

Waking in to the bakery and seeing all the wonderful treats took me back to my childhood. The most delicious buns and great coffee! Highly recommended.

Updating: This is our second visit here, and once again it brings a truly wonderful feeling. The atmosphere is calm and deeply peaceful. The donation machine is simple to use, and we lit candles with heartfelt prayers for our family’s health and wellbeing.

I pass through Goulburn a few times a year, but for the first time I discovered through Google Maps that there is a magnificent church in this small town! It is very beautiful both inside and outside.

What a glorious, grand old building. The old cathedral is certainly one of Goulburns landmark buildings, even before the recent sympathetic and meticulous renovation. Congrats to the parish and especially the committee so invested in the revamp. Its magnificent.

Beautifully restored cathedral. We were lucky to be able to look inside on this occasion of passing through Goulburn. it is stunning, and the stained glass windows are amazing.

1797 - St. Peter and Paul's Former Cathedral - North East Elevation of Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Verner Street, Goulburn

For the first time in my 80 year experience, the Anglican Cathedral is more “glamorous” than the Catholic Cathedral.

Queen Victoria I reigns over the 1850s brick and the sandstone majestic remnant of our colonial days. The QVI carved into the stone balustrades at the front gate and the royal crown sitting atop the copper cupola. The building is a fantastic reminder of the once thriving NSW country and the challenging men and women who live in this region. If you get a chance visit during office hours for a look.

Been to Goulburn Court twice, and both times the experience was fair and professional. The officers are very friendly and respectful, and both judges I encountered were excellent—fair, patient, and understanding. A well-run courthouse overall.

5 stars. The funniest thing I have ever witnessed in my life happened here. The Honourable Robert Rabbiage opened the gates to hell on the most malicious individual I have ever met, Jessica Erith of Marulan. Like a death metal singer on steroids he unleashed a serve, not of this earth. Flames from his mouth, fire in his eyes and steam from his ears! The Truth, alas, was mine. A ray of sunlight entered the upper window and reated apon my head, a halo. And the swine, ah, retreat hoofed one.

Just so everyone knows, I am buying the Goulburn Court House and converting the building to luxury self-serviced apartments, which I plan listing on Airbnb. Was telling Gladys all about it when we had lunch the other day with Angus and Wendy. She said, "Totes cool Rum Baby, yeah nah don't worry about the paperwork. What are your thoughts on upgrading Goulburn TAFE into a stadium?" I replied, "Totes cool Gladys Baby, regional-based delivery of vocational education and training to meet local skills requirements is so 1890s." Angus said Goulburn needed to attract foreign investment by converting the hospital to a greyhound track with world class facilities like flushing toilets. Wendy disagreed. She thinks the hospital should remain, but something needs to be done about Goulburn's parking crisis. Someone suggested Victoria Park be renamed Car Park, but I can't remember who because we were all a bit sloshed TBH.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions and food was not bad last time was not good and tonight was pure slops that was served one dish we ordered was crispy beef this was in the fridge for at least a week the beef looked like roadkill that was very n the sun for a week the batter was soggy and soft the smell was like a rotten rodent smell and it was freezing in the middle. My honest advice stay clear or may die from food poisoning discussing food service not much better.

Had takeaway, but restaurant looked good. More importantly the food was delicious and generous portions. We had Seafood curry laksa. Chicken & cashews and special fried rice. Keep up the good work! Thanks for a great meal!

The good - Sweet & sour pork was excellent, honey chicken was sensational. The OK - Mongoloian beef was ok, fried rice was good, had quite a bit of chicken in it which was a first, but one we didn't order. The not so good - satay chicken was abysmal, barely tastes like satay, more like oil. Beef & black bean tasted like charcoal and wasn't nice, crispy beef had no sauce so was not good either Overall, probably wouldn't go again except for the good ones above.

Very disappointing. Frozen vegetables in “special” fried rice that was very bland, food did not taste fresh and was oily, and was not as ordered. (Takeaway so could not return) Would not return.

Soooo good. Excellent balance of flavours in our dishes and cooked to perfection. We were looking for a Thai restaurant nearby which was closed and the Emperor was open. Menu had some Thai options so we decided it would do. From the moment we walked in the aromas from the kitchen were amazing. Ordered vege spring rolls followed by basil chilli prawns and rainbow beef. Flavours were spicy without being overpowering. Prawns cooked to juicy perfection and tender beef coated in light crispy batter with gorgeous chili jam style sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Restaurant is not licensed.

Wow! This restaurant has a quiet ambience, the music subtle, the staff polite. We started with Short Soup which was one of the best I have had. We then shared Chicken Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork and Satay Beef. All were lovely. Then deep fried icecream - and a generous serving at that! Yep - a great place for Chinese food. 😀

Out for a drive for the day and we were getting hungry checked what was around and the reviews and well. Let me tell you the reviews for Emperor Asian are spot on. Food is great tender tasty and we'll served Staff are super accommodating found them to be full of smiles which also makes the whole experience that my h more enjoyable

The food was nice but for some reason I was given the honey chicken in separate containers. One was filled with plan batteries chicken and the other was the sauce. In all my life I’ve never been given it that way and I do have to say it tasted horrible. Usually get a great meal from here but was really disappointed tonight, especially with how much it costs atm.

Food was really nice, staff were super friendly and caring, just what you want to feel when eating in a new town whilst passing through.

Service is always good and food is always fairly quick. My last meal was very nice, ordered a beef and broccoli for lunch. The time previous to this wasn’t as good, so food quality can be a little inconsistent. As I can’t eat rice, I have to buy the main meal which is a shame as it’s pricey for no rice and a little more meat/veg. Almost $30 including a can on Coke Zero. If it was more affordable I would have it more often as its location is very convenient.

Really good food (sweet and sour pork and braised chicken and ginger) and generous serve. Service efficient but could perhaps be a bit friendlier. Restaurant was busy on a Monday night so that says something and it gave it a nice vibe. The place was very clean but slightly old.

Everything about this restaurant from the service to the fortune cookies was pure comfort. The fried rice was amazing, and the prawns were perfectly tender. Not rubbery and hard like you'd expect from other restaurants with big batch fried rice. The sweet and sour pork was beautifully crispy and flavourful; the sauce was delightful, even used it to dip the spring rolls in. The Mongolian beef was so tender I didn't even need to chew it it was melt in your mouth FLAVOUR. The lady who runs this restaurant is so lovely and generous she was so kind and welcoming.

My wife and I stayed overnight at Goulburn NSW and we wanted Chinese food for dinner. We found this place and WOW!! The service was great, the food was decent amount and the amenities where clean too. Highly recommended this restaurant when stopping at Goulburn..

I ventured in to this establishment at about 10pm last night after an all day bender commencing at 8:30am involving golf and alcohol. It was delicious however I vomited quite a bit that night, I do not believe this had anything to do with the succulent Chinese meal that I ordered. I also had leftovers this morning which I ate with a smile on my face while nursing a horrible hangover. I have vomited violently a lot today but again I don’t think it was the Chinese foods fault. Would 100% go again after a bender.

AMAZING. hospitality, food, ambience couldn't get better. fully packed dining explains this place. we ordered pad thai, tom yum and crispy chicken and all of them were reallly really good. the portion size is big and worth the money spent. the tom yum soup was a little sweet for my liking but was really good as a food. no complain. amazing totally recommend. 9.5/10

A great mom-and-pop shop with hearty Thai food. Lovely food, very fast service and fair prices, especially considering the size of the meals. Definitely a great place to stop on travel between Canberra and Sydney. Strongly recommend (especially if you’re trying to eat something healthier than Maccas!)!!

What a find! We dined here for lunch on a Tuesday, and I was surprised at busy it was! The service was friendly and fast, and the food also came out quickly. We ordered the Pad se ew, and the crispy pork. Both were so delicious! The prices are also very reasonable. A top quality Thai restaurant.

On our way back from Jervis Bay to Young, my husband and I decided to stop by Banthai in Goulburn, as we were craving Thai food. We’re so glad we did! This place absolutely made our trip. We ordered the Jungle Curry, Basil Chicken, and Chicken Wings, and each dish was fantastic. The flavors were so authentic and delicious, and the portions were generous. Their $15 meal deal, which includes a complimentary drink, is unbeatable. You’d be hard-pressed to find such great food at this price anywhere else in Australia. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. We left completely satisfied and can’t recommend Banthai enough to anyone passing through Goulburn. Definitely a hidden gem for Thai food lovers!

Really enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere here, the service was fast and you could tell they were really busy not with just diners in the restaurant, but for take away orders. Ive been to thailand and the flavors were spot on they really calmed down the spice levels so if you enjoy the spice of thailand just communicate that to them and they will adjust the spice level.

We were visiting Goulburn and found this restaurant. Chose it from reviews. All the Thai restaurants in the local area had similar ratings, but chose this one, because the most people had rated it. It did not disappoint. This place is bustling and no wonder. Penang chicken curry and barbecue beef- yum! Generous serves and so tasty. Nice and cozy restaurant with fast service but the portion was a little less. Ordered chicken thai fried rice which tasted good but had less chicken, tom yum soup tasted okay and had enough prawns, and salt and pepper calamari was good. Staff were polite and sweet.

Restaurant is located on the auburn street. There are car park bays just outside the restaurant. Staff is nice and attentive. Service times are reasonable and the food is really well prepared; presentation is nice. Toilets are available to be used inside the premises, large group service area is available at the back.

We are on a road trip and stopped for lunch. Everything here is so clean and tidy, the staff is so nice; most importantly, the food was the best Thai food I have ever had. I recommend it 100%.

Staff so friendly. Good service and the food is delicious. We asked for more chilli in ours and it was lovely . Also reasonably priced. We have eaten in Thailand and lone Asian food and this food tasted very authentic. Set in the Posthouse Motel it was also easy for us staying there to walk down and have a meal.

Fantastic Park! We pulled off the Hume Hey for lunch and stumbled across this awesome park! Built in 2018, it is fresh and modern with BBQ areas and lots of shade. The kids had a blast and didn't want to leave... We will definitely be back again!

This park is an absolute gem! It has recently been redone and has fabulous kids play facilities, BBQ facilities and open spaces!!! There is fabulous flying fox, a multi-tower climbing castle and mini maze. Park is suitable for all ages. There is also an aging basketball court if your that way inclined! Can’t speak more highly of the quality of the Park fit out here!!!

Great park! The layout, the options, the shade, this park has something for everything. So many different things happening at this park it really has something for kids of all ages. Can’t wait to go back when we are visiting the area again

This park should get better security, one of my friends got threatened (with a razor sharp knife) by a kid on the skateboard park, he also almost lit up a fire in the steep hill down the skateboard park, this park is good but security must improve, my friend is literally scared to go to that park. (If you’re wondering about his appearance he has a slightly curly orange hair, I won’t share his name for personal reasons and he’s short, I’ve heard he’s in grade 6 in 2024) so please upgrade the safety

We love the adventure park. From the flying fox to the big round swing and the slippery sides, we always have lots of fun. Feel like sitting some hoops, there is a basketball court and a rage cage if you want to kick a soccer ball or roller-skate. There is also a sandpit so pack a picnic or use the BBQ there and have a blast!!

Great playground with something for all ages. Downside is the bathrooms are revolting. Dirty, dark and full of cobwebs. Too bad that didn't upgrade those facilities whilst they were updating the park.

Open playground with lots of space for picnicking and multiple shade structures for parents and adults to rest in without having to stand long under the sun. The toilets were also nearby. There are many play options but my nieces loved the zip line. There were provisions for two zip lines but only one was functional and with so many kids lined up, they were not able to play as often as they wanted. Nevertheless, we enjoyed some wonderful rest and play time with the other families in the playground. There is also an aquatic centre which we hope to explore during our next visit to the park.

This is a very large and beautiful park with plenty of street parking. The toilets were old but nice and close which was convenient. There are lots of defined spaces for younger and older kid with play equipment for each. There are a couple of shade sails but the majority of the park is exposed to the sun. There are some picnic tables and bbq facilities and lots of places for parents to sit to watch the kids.

A fantastic park for the kids, heaps to do, easy to get to and always a pleasure to stop at. Even during School Holidays, whilst it was busy, it wasn't overly crowded at all. Goulburn Council seems to work very hard keeping this park clean for visitors. Hardly any graffiti seen. Could have done with some more rubbish 🗑 bins around.

Great playground, picnic tables, flying fox and green open space. Basketball courts as well if you bring your ball 🏀 Pick up some lunch in town and let the kids to stretch their legs.

A must stop with the kids, one of the best we have seen. Well thought out and an adventure. Kids had a ball.

Basically a great playground although not without its issues: not a lot of shade at present, although this will change as trees grow; a maze which is fun but means you inevitably lose your kids in it; and an inviting nautically themed climbing rig that small kids can get into but not out of, meaning every hour or so a parent has to go in there to rescue one.

Such a shame this place was closed for maintenance when I was visiting Goulburn. Being from another St Clair in the world I would have loved to have seen St Clair Museum. Maybe next time. Please alert when open and the opening hours.

Good little gallery showcasing the local arts and crafts. Loved the amazing patchwork on the quilts displayed. The ladies there were very friendly and helpful and said the group of artisans donate the quilts for those in need which is wonderful.

I took my grandchildren for day trip to Goulburn Wetlands We all enjoyed the walk but it proved hard to find enough water due to period of drought conditions The signage was excellent and we also found visiting the cemetery on route historically interesting The largest poundage had a wonderful hide to observe the water birds

This lovely wetland is a staged regeneration of an abandoned brick pit and pond flowing through Goulburn City. At the time we visited it was well established with heaps of birds in the air and water. There is a viewing platform that gives good viewing of the whole of the visible wetland area. Popular place, need to go early to avoid the heat as well. There are walking tracks around the area for the adventurous. Free entry. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy. Great place for photography.

Everything I visit the wetlands it gets a little bit more interesting and pretty. More birds, some landscaping, and the gardens becoming more established, all adding to the lovely walk around.

Such a beautiful place to go for a walk around town. It’s about a 25 mins walk slow pace taking in all the scenery. You can see birds and kangaroos up close.

Nice little park/wetland in Goulburn. Two different easy pathsthrough the area with a lot of information signs about the flora and fauna. Lots of animals, including a troop of kangaroos that has taken up residence. Also several Bird Hides for your early morning bird spotting.

Quiet, flat walk and we were able to take our dog on a leash. Lots of kangaroos and birds and the gardens are growing and looking great.

One of the best local arts and craft groups I have experienced. Huge range of beautiful local hand crafted clothes, jewellery, wood work, paintings and photography. Highly recommended.

A really nice art and craft shop that can virtually double up as an art museum. Staff were friendly let me look around.

Excellent exhibition and shop of local artists and crafters work. Paintings, jewellery, bowls and plates. Also knitted clothes. Good work reasonably priced. Situated in the repurposed and refurbished engine-drivers barracks. There is a short history display about its previous life. Check hours as it is run by volunteers. Free to enter.

Exhibition opened today with work from 2 local craftsmen. I liked the wooden bowls in particular, very reasonable prices.

Great gallery with an amazing range of items for sale

Gallery on Track is a great gift shop in an interesting old building. It has a wonderful variety of arts and crafts with a range of prices that suits all pockets. It's main drawback is location being on the other side of the railway line. Well worth a visit by locals and tourists.

Called in for information about the town. Too much explanation. A map was obtained and we headed off to explore.

Goulburn Visitor Centre is a great place to go if you are needing any information of things to do & see in Goulburn. The Visitor Centre building is surrounded by beautiful gardens with many roses in flower, plants flowering & gorgeous trees. There is plenty of parking available (FREE), including electric car charging stations. The Visitor Centre is located across the road from Goulburn’s iconic park, Belmore Park, The Soldiers Club (100 yrs old in 2022), The Workers Club, restaurants, cafes & shopping centres. Goulburn is full of old homesteads, heritage listed buildings, original houses with original facades, beautiful gardens blooming with lavender, roses, ivy & magnificent trees. Goulburn is a beautiful place to explore, walk or drive around, soooo many great buildings & houses to look at.

The place is really boring the staff is always on they're phone and there is no there also some really useless stuff so don't recommend.

Wonderful Staff, Very friendly and Courteous. You can even Park your Motorhome, Caravan as long as you are Self Sufficient. Maximum stay 48 Hrs. Will definitely recommend this Town.

Information centre was closed when we arrived, however has helpful information outside and is nicely presented. Close to the Tesla super chargers, a park and other stores.

Very helpful staff. Took their time with us and even allowed us to unhitch our van behind their information centre which allowed us to easily travel around town and look at the sights, including the Rocky Hill War Memorial which would not have been accessible with the van towing behind.

What a lovely pleasant visit..very friendly helpful staff who even suggested we could camp out back of centre..which we did..be aware rail line is right next to it...Soldiers club and park across roaf..and walking distance to shops....

We went out with friends on Saturday night and visited the brewery for the first time. It turned out to be such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the cheese and cured meat platter, which was packed with flavor and a perfect way to begin the night. The pork knuckle was incredible—so tender it melted in the mouth—served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh slaw that complemented it perfectly. We also tried the scotch fillet, which was just the right size and cooked to perfection, something that’s rare to find these days. Overall, we had an amazing evening and truly enjoyed everything. We’ll definitely be back!

Great upmarket country vibe with delicious food and great beers. The arancini balls were great. There were a lot of whole olives with the ciabatta- I had hoped it would be more ciabatta and less olive but it was nice, and something different with the chorizo in it. Perhaps an olive and herb paste and some olive oil might be a nice addition to this dish, with a few less whole olives and more bread. The pork knuckle hit the spot and the burger had some great flavours. Quite good portion sizes. The beers were nice. The sparkling was different and we loved it. The IPA and the Hoppy lager were also favourites. The stout was on the lighter side but still a full flavour which we enjoyed - really nice. The grounds were picturesque with a heritage feel and have been manicured beautifully. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Table water was brought without having to ask, staff were considerate and waited for me to take my photo before placing more food in front of me, paying was easy and efficient. I love the uniform! Reminds me a bit of the Clarkson's farm style Farmers Dog pub with a quality feel that you can tell lots of heart has gone into. A kids menu would be a welcome addition to provide a cheaper option for families so parents can enjoy themselves and aren't priced out of going. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch there yesterday afternoon. The venue is beautiful, with a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was amazing and well-priced, and it was hard to choose a favourite beer as they were all fantastic! The menu had something for everyone, with plenty of interesting choices that will definitely make you want to come back and try more. My personal highlight was the poached apple & pear crumble dessert—absolutely delicious! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and great food. The outdoor area, with its beautiful lawns, is perfect for a picnic. We can’t wait to go back! There’s also a great little shop where you can pick up merchandise like T-shirts and hats, as well as take-home beer to enjoy later.
