Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Trappers Bakery is a must-visit pit stop along the Hume Highway, offering a wide array of delectable baked goods and freshly brewed coffee and tea. Conveniently located just minutes from the highway exit, it provides ample off-street parking and boasts friendly and helpful staff. The bakery's sweet treats are not only delightful but also generously portioned, making them perfect for on-the-go enjoyment.
Everything you want in a cafe, you get it here at Trappers Bakery in Goulburn. Came here to see the Giant Merino sheep and it’ll not be complete without a coffee - which Trappers is just a minute walk away. Good coffee, good pastries (love the Berry Danish), good service and a nice place to sit in. Just wish the coffee was served in a normal cup instead of paper cup but looking at the crowd, I understand the need to use disposable cups. Though filled with customers, service is surprisingly fast.

Located at 4 Sowerby Street, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is a wonderful bakery and general spot to stop whether you’re a local or stoping for a quick meal travelling through. We were the latter. I had a sausage roll and a coke. It was delicious 😋. The menu is quite extensive for a bakery, plenty to choose from and there is a good cake 🍰 selection. The bakery is located directly across the road from the Big Merino and also has a Motel attached. It’s really well designed with wonderful quotes displayed on the walls and ceiling. There’s ample seating but from what I saw, it’s very popular so the seating can fill up fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a ramp to the side of the building so it’s also accessible and there’s good toilet 🚻 facilities, including disabled toilets. Would definitely recommend a visit. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

Ordered a Chunky steak pie, spinach and feta roll and coffee - latte and piccolo. The pastry was amazing and I reckon one of the best I have had. It was thin and crispy and the sesame on top gave it an amazing roasted taste with great texture. The coffee however was a little disappointing.

Lovely place and delicious foods. 🫰🏻❤️ One person who caught my attention is MOLLY serving as with an attitude of not being polite to customers! It’s been a tradition in Australia to greet customers and to make feel customer feel welcomed. Please train her on how to deliver services with good manner.
Franklin M — Google review
We’re from Sydney and stopped by Trappers Bakery in Goulburn during our road trip. The lamington and carrot cake were absolutely delicious, fresh, moist, and full of flavour. It’s such a nice spot for a quick stopover, and the bakery has that classic country charm. The only downside was the service — the staff weren’t very attentive or friendly, which was a bit disappointing. Still, the quality of the baked goods definitely makes it worth a visit!
Julienne — Google review
We enjoyed a stop here after meeting the Big Marino (directly across the road). It was freezing outside so finding a real wooden fire in the corner of this cosy establishment was very welcome. We enjoyed a pie each and some hot chips. Great service and the food was great, well priced too.
AJ R — Google review
Stopped in on the way to Sydney and this place was packed! It’s nice and big inside though, with lots of seating room. I got the veggie pie, a coffee and a berry danish. The place has few vegetarian options and the pie, while filling and full of vegetables, was a tad boring. I hope in the future they branch out and have use vegan meat. Good coffee, but the best thing was the danish. Getting a good pastry these days is hard and this was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Sweet flaky pastry, a custard filling and a sugary berry filling - it’s definitely very sweet, but I delicious! I’d go back for this!
KDD — Google review
Overall, a nice place for a stopover to take a break from driving. They offer a good choice of food and drinks, and the large restaurant area combined with swift service makes you wish to return. We were unfortunate to run into a major issue with one of the staff members, but the duty supervisor swiftly defused the situation and took appropriate action. The coffee was tasty ☕️

Grit Cafe is a charming eatery in Goulburn that prides itself on its paddock-to-plate philosophy, ensuring fresh and flavorful dishes sourced locally. The cafe offers an array of specialty coffee options, from classic espressos to velvety lattes. Additionally, Grit Cafe caters to dietary restrictions with a gluten-free menu. Despite its simple decor, the cafe is known for its delicious food and excellent coffee.
We really enjoyed this cafe. Service, food and atmosphere were all very much loved and appreciated by all x4 of us who dined. The “green bowl” was really delicious and I would order it again in a heartbeat. The veggie burger was apparently awesome and the smashed avocado was given a very good rating by my child. Smoothies were great too! Next time we’re stopping by, we’ll make a point to call in here for food, such a great cafe with super helpful and warm staff.
Kat R — Google review
Great fresh, healthy and inviting lunches & great coffee and loose leaf teas - the definite best choice in comparison to McDonalds the other side of the car park. Grit is definitely the far better choice. Friendly staff, cool vibe - food was fab - corn fritters for the thumbs up and I absolutely loved my salad bowl of 3 impressive salads - scrumptious and refreshingly tasty and satisfying.
Chris B — Google review
On our trek from Sydney to Melbourne we stopped in Goulburn for the night and on our way out of town we visited the Grit Cafe. When we arrived it was pretty busy but our party of 6 managed to get a table. We placed our order at the counter and the staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered the pancakes minus the popcorn because to me it just didn't make sense. My wife ordered the avocado toast. Both orders came out in a timely manner and looked amazing. The whole table were all very pleased with their orders. All the food was fantastic!! The atmosphere was pleasant as well , not loud and very comfortable. If you're passing through Goulburn make it a stop on your list.

2025: Still going strong. I added 1× star, I loved the poached eggs so much. Hidden up the road, nice spot for a cuppa or a bite. Seats inside & out. All-day, breakfast was a hit. Coffee was magic. The 'Big Breakfast is big. Pet friendly outside.

This is the place to go if you would like to make a brief stop on your way to Sydney/Melbourne driving on M31 ;) nice food and coffee, and service is always great and fast!
Hannah A — Google review
Food ok but terrible customer service. Teenage girl at counter, zero smile or greeting, barely any eye contact. Took the wrong order and overcharged me by $20. I only realised after I paid. She grudgingly refunded and charged the correct account with zero eye contact, apology, or any kind of personality. Some basic friendliness would go a long way.

Fantastic peri peri chicken burger, one of the best I've had. Coffee was excellent, service great, and reasonable prices. Also great for people with allergies, very accommodating.

This is definitely the best coffee between Melbourne and Brisbane. Great breakfast roll too. Fresh! Doggo could sit with us in area outside. Well staffed so we were replenished and on the road quickly. Thanks Grit!

The Big Merino is a monumental tribute to the local wool industry, featuring a massive replica of a Merino ram that stands at 15.2 meters high, 18 meters long, and weighs 98 tonnes. This iconic attraction was built in 1985 and offers visitors the unique opportunity to enter the structure. Inside, guests can explore a permanent exhibition showcasing the history of wool production in Australia.
Whoever design and build the structure deserves Bog Praise. The Big Merino looks so real & majestic and it’s definitely worth a detour from the main highway to see it. It houses a souvenir shop and a free museum, it’s nice to be able to walk in that Giant.

Welcome to “Australia’s Statue of Liberty.” You’ve seen the Pyramids and the Eiffel Tower, but nothing prepares you for the majesty of The Big Merino. It’s a giant concrete sheep, complete with a wool museum and a gift shop, and yes. Seriously definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Stopped on our way to Geelong. Impressive statue. Took some snaps, had breakfast at Trappers Bakery, fuelled up and continued with the journey. Plenty of parking and other restaurants nearby. If you are planning a trip between NSW and Victoria make this place as your pit stop.

This exquisite gift shop boasts an extensive selection of items, particularly focussing on high-quality woollen garments and accessories. The shop’s commitment to Australian-made products is commendable, providing an ideal platform to procure distinctive souvenirs. The staff’s exceptional kindness and helpfulness were evident throughout my visit. While searching for a specific dog coat, I was delighted to discover the Digeridoona line. The staff kindly suggested that I bring my dog into the shop for a fitting, which proved to be a valuable assistance, especially considering the chilly winds of Goulburn outside.

Great place to stop and relax with many shops around. It was a busy corner with the traffic coming in and out from the petrol station. The Big Merino Gift Shop had a nice collection of woollen clothes, souvenirs and hand made items.

The Big Ram is truly one of a kind such a unique piece of work that you can’t help but stop and admire! It’s not just the impressive size and craftsmanship that make it special, but the whole experience around it. The location is super convenient, with a bakery for a fresh bite, a servo nearby for a quick fuel stop and even a Maccas right there if you’re after something familiar. Don’t miss the amazing gift shop — it’s packed with quality souvenirs that really capture the spirit of the place. Whether you’re just passing through or making it a special trip, the Big Ram is well worth the visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must-See Aussie Icon!

It is a good place to stop and get some food and coffee. There is a huge statue of sheep, a tourist attraction. There is a gift shop adjacent to the sheep statue. The prices at this shop are a bit higher than normal. It also has a variety of jams and honey. Parking is not a problem. You can have a picture around the statue.

Nestled in a quiet street near the park, The Roses Cafe & Catering Co. is a beloved spot among locals. The spacious interior boasts high ceilings and an impressive food display featuring freshly made focaccia, baked goods, quiches, and more. This family-run cafe offers modern service with a touch of tradition and provides great vegetarian options like granola with seasonal fruits or smashed avo on sourdough.
Set in an airy, old school hall, with ornate ceilings and old style windows, this restaurant/cafe is both spacious and cozy at the same time. It has a centerpiece of colourful flowers for sale and also some comfy couches set around a fireplace and old photo of the town. Friendly staff and an incredible selection of breakfast, lunch and tea items at the counter that are a feast for the eyes. Food was delish.

This was well worth a lunch stop off while driving down the Hume Highway. The location is outstanding and original - the high ceilings, building and seating areas were a real highlight. Very nice and cool on a hot day. The drinks were good, we got a cappuccino and an iced coffee. The food was hearty and the service was great. The chicken burger was definitely a bit dry. The lasagna was tasty but it was a pity to have salad or chips as an option (rather than both). The prices were a bit steep but not too bad.

My partner, friends, and I were driving from Canberra to Wollongong and stopped here for breakfast. The staff were really friendly, and there was a great variety of menu options, pies, and salads. I had the roses meat pie with Caesar salad — the pie was full of flavour and sauce, absolutely delicious! My only mistake was ordering a saucy salad with it (They even provided sauce on the side, but I accidentally poured all of it in 🥲), as the pie itself was already rich and tasty. My partner and friends also enjoyed their meals. Definitely worth the stop!

We always stop on our way to Beechworth to this place, staff is incredibly friendly. The place is lovely inside out and dog friendly coffee is superb and it easily has the best Reuben sandwich that I've had in my life.!

Deli-café in huge historic school hall off the main street. A bit noisy due to original timber floor. Gorgeous high pressed metal ceiling. Friendly staff offering great service & good food. Order & pay at counter then items brought to table. Modern clean toilet facilities. Great for a stop when passing through.

Great food presented really well and tastes great as well. I had eggs Benedict and a friend had smashed avo. Can get really busy. Love the converted church or school hall.

Fantastic lunch with the charm and character one misses these days. Our server, of mature years, was delightful, helpful and efficient without being overly attentive. Our meals were generous and delicious. Loads of chicken in the salad and the pattie substantive. Looved the beetroot. The lunch special included a slice of cake and a drink. Everything was at the comfy booth in perfect time. All this at an incredibly reasonable price, even before the 10% cash discount. We'll be back 😀

I was super impressed with the service. My partner and I decided to share a burger because we wanted to save room for dessert and they actually split it for us! Tactical sharing of the main turned out to be the a great idea cos the dessert was massive and delicious

My fiance and I have eaten here twice during our stay in goulburn, and the food was fantastic. Serving sizes were large and delicious. Paragon will be a must stop for us while we are on our way through Goulburn again.

I would highly recommend the Paragon Cafe! Staff are super friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and service is super fast. My order came in 5 minutes and my mums in about 10. Both our food was delicious and my chips came with my own bottle of tomato sauce. Which I loved! No more tiny little portions of tomato sauce.

We stumbled on this place during a one night stopover in Goulburn and boy are we glad we did! The service was friendly, the food was delicious with generous portions and I love booth dining! You can tell this place is an historical icon for a reason! Also for anyone searching for a proper old-school vanilla malt milkshake, this is your place! (So many cafes these days have never even heard of malt!). Good luck picking from the dessert menu too. I wanted one of everything. Whenever I am staying in Goulburn I won’t be eating anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Belmore Park is a charming city square located in Goulburn, with a rich history and modern amenities. Once a major service center for pastoral land, it now features landscaped grounds, shade trees, and a playground for children. The park's transformation from a marketplace to a picturesque public space is marked by the installation of the band rotunda in 1899.
A very well laid out park. Nice war memorials, beautiful old growth shade trees and great play equipment for the kids.

Stopped by Belmore Park while visiting the court nearby. It’s a beautiful, historic park with well-maintained gardens, vibrant flower beds, and a stunning old tree that adds to its charm. The park also has a lovely water fountain and a great playground for kids. A peaceful spot to relax and take in a bit of Goulburn’s history!

Awesome park. Well maintained and reminds me of most parks in Country towns and many city parks before the developera moved in the council's decides they couldn't be bothered maintaining them.

This photograph captures a beautiful, tranquil park setting, likely centered around a War Memorial. The statue, standing atop a dignified pedestal, is the clear focal point, surrounded by well-manicured garden beds and a low fence. The scene is dominated by the vibrant, lush green foliage of the large, mature trees that frame the memorial, providing a striking contrast to the bright blue sky dotted with soft white clouds. The intense colors suggest a clear, sunny day, making the stone of the memorial stand out beautifully. In the foreground, there are neat rows of freshly planted flowers, signifying care and respect for the grounds. Overall, the place exudes a sense of peace, history, and civic pride. It's a lovely spot for quiet contemplation and appreciation of the local heritage. Would you like me to focus on a particular element of the photo, like the memorial's design or the surrounding greenery, in a different style of description?

Located on Auburn Street and McKell Place in Goulburn, the Goulburn Workers Club has undergone a clever renovation to resemble a wool store. It offers a free electric vehicle charging facility in its car park, making it convenient for those looking to charge their EVs. The Brasserie at the club serves delicious food such as steak sandwiches and Caesar salads, while also employing individuals with disabilities. The staff is friendly, and the toilets are well-maintained.
Went there today and there was nothing wrong with my chicken snitz, but the winner was definitely the garlic prawns! I'll be ordering them next time for sure! Great amount of prawns and delicious garlic sauce. ☺️ We also both got a 3yr membership. We will definitely be back!

First off this is a must visit if you are coming through Goulburn! Myself and my co-worker stayed up in Goulburn for work for two weeks, and the service here at Goulburn Workers Club was superb. From the beautiful interior to the many spaces you can dine this place had it all. I would like to especially thank Deborah! For her amazing service to us and making us feel welcome and like a locals while we were there. To top it off the food was delicious and great prices. Also there was always something to do there during week nights as they held bingo, trivia, darts etc all week.

The meal was ok but the sauces tasted like they came out of a packet. How can you serve an expensive steak with a packet mix/caterers blend sauce????? A late 1900’s club used to serve that up, get with the times! Gravy masquerading as Diane Sauce…. disgusting and cheap and nasty

Steak on special but inedible. If you can’t cook it,or the meat is poor quality ,don’t serve it. I had spring rolls(2) for $16. Greasy, just minced pork and no flavour. Did not complain( other reviews show what appears to be an unacceptable attitude from staff) but took the remainder home for the dog. Waste of money.

Goulburn Soldiers Club offers a self-guided heritage tour to explore the city's rich history, including the iconic Court House designed by renowned architect James Barnet. The club also stands out for its delicious meals, with perfectly cooked salmon and generous portions like the parmigiana. What sets it apart from other eateries in Goulburn is its exceptional child-friendly environment, featuring a spacious play zone that keeps kids entertained while parents enjoy their time in peace.
We visited the Goulburn soldiers club on weekend where Goulburn hosted a soccer tournament, so the club was so busy. As you expect with so many people it would take a long time for things to happen. But with how quickly the food came out after we ordered it and how nice the food was, it was worth the wait. Great place to take the whole family

Hi Soldiers Club, I usually love your food and we often have dinners with you but today I noticed your dining area is empty and now I believe I know why. I got my pork ribs and they were raw. I appreciate the refund you gave me but something needs to change in your kitchen because my partner and I went to the workers club after loosing confidence in your food and everyone is here. Also we paid $17 for 5 meatless wings as an entree… just for some perspective that’s $3.40 per meatless cold wing. It’s currently $14 for half a kg at the workers club. Please be better. We won’t be back until you’ve sorted out your bistro.

Dear Goulburn Soldiers Club Team, I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent dining experience at your club. Unfortunately, the meal I received today – battered fish and chips – was served cold and was very disappointing. I have always appreciated the quality of food and service at your venue, which is why this experience was unexpected. I wanted to bring it to your attention so that it can be reviewed and hopefully improved for future customers. Thank you for considering my feedback.

This is a lovely community facility. We stayed in Goulburn for a night and went to the club for dinner. It is a good place to eat and is quite busy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and, with membership, food and drinks are excellent value. We had a relaxing evening there and beautiful meals. We have eaten here before when travelling through and recommend it.

So disappointed with this club it looks so beautiful online and in person it really is stunning but honestly they should hand you a list of rules when you enter, or maybe a list of what you can do! Upon entering the receptionist was amazing and so friendly but it ended there. We are interstate visitors so we do not know the lay of the land, we were there for a birthday celebration. Firstly we were snapped at for our niece (3) entering the smokers area to see her Poppy, obviously we were not staying in there with her but the lady pretty much yelled at us to get children out of the area, so we scooped her up and went inside, still not good enough the same lady pretty much herded us like sheep saying not far enough go to the other side of the club the child can't be here, upon getting to the 'child' friendly part of the club, we missed the announcement about the 1 minute silence most likely due to being told off about the 'child', so we were then ordered to holt and shushed by a local at the bar, obviously we were not aware of the 1 minute silence every day at 6pm, we are NOT local and there is ZERO signage about this. So we obviously were very sorry and remained still and silent. We went to the playground for a safe place for the 'child' that had been yelled at twice now, only to be told to buy socks, then no alcohol in the area, where there is signage to say children must be supervised, so I stayed soft drink in hand only to be marched out for having glass, are you actually kidding me at this point?! No plastic cups available so you must supervise with no beverage of any kind in hand. So dinner, don't even think of using a members card for multiple orders because thats a big no no too, at this point everyone is over the rules and the can do and can't dos of this club. Try enjoy your meal in the sweltering heat of the club, we think the hotter it is the more people will drink, its the only reason we could think of for making people sweat balls during dinner! Then there are the hovering staff wanting to take you drink glasses as soon as you've had the last sip and the plate as soon as you put your knife and fork down, and saying 'hi friends can we clear the table' doesn't make it ok or cute, just no. This is a one and done, it was not our first choice and will never be our choice again should we return to the area. Not a pleasant experience at all unfortunately. We did try to chat about it on our way out but were fobbed off by the wait staff who did seem very busy and under staffed and frankly it was too damn hot to try find someone to care.

Goulburn Soldiers Club was a great club to visit. Joining cost $3 but it paid for itself through the night. The restaurant/bistro was amazing. I got a Snitty Burger (it was huge and great value for money), my partner had the Caesar Salad the only comment was the lettuce could have been cut a little smaller. But there was plenty of chicken, croutons, cheese and bacon.

Kebab shop
Ogys Kebab Express is a delightful stop for travelers seeking delicious and authentic kebabs in Goulburn. Despite its simple interior, the shop offers a clean environment and friendly service that enhances the dining experience. The kebabs are served hot and fresh, making them a satisfying choice for those on the go. While they may be priced at A$17 each without extras, many patrons find them to be worth every penny due to their rich flavors and quality ingredients.
Great falafel. Perfectly sweet (not excess) balaklava. Felt good quality sugar.

Had a chicken kebab which is quite expensive at $17, considering it only has Lettuce, onion and a bit of chicken on it. Garlic sauce costs extra. No seasoning at all, very bland taste. I wouldn't go back.
Lily B — Google review
Honestly don't know what the negative reviews are about. The food was hot, didn't take too long and was decently tasty. The interior looked pretty bare bones but that's not the point of the review. It was pretty expensive though at A$17 per kebab without any extras.

Very plain and expensive kebab. I had a chicken kebab with garlic sauce. It came with lettuce, onion and tomato and cost $17 It was very bland and the chicken was tasteless. I definitely wouldn't recommend the chicken kebab.

Ordered a mixed snackpack, shop was super busy, you'd think I'd get somewhat fresh food.... The meat was cold, the chips were colder. Paid $1 extra for extra garlic sauce, barely any on there. If I wasn't on a time constraint would have brought it back for a refund. Had a couple of bites and threw it out. Just go to maccas, at least if the food is cold there you only paid half the amount you would have here.

Visited Diggers by the Park for lunch on a Thursday with family. Unfortunately, not everything on the menu was available at the time and there was a slight wait for service, attributed to the timing of our visit. However, all the staff provided excellent service and were able to answer any questions we had. There was even an entertaining conversation with one of the young men clearing tables. The food was exceptional, some of the best I've had anywhere, and the decor was Instagram-worthy.
Stopped in for a Thursday lunch with the family. Unfortunately not everything on the menu was available at the time & we had to wait a smidge on service (I put this down to the time we were there) but the service of all the people working there was top notch, any queries answered, we even had a comedic conversation with the young man clearing our table. All of the food was superb (some of the best we've had anywhere!) and the decor was photo-worthy. Highly rate this place.

$17 for 5 meatless cold wings, no help from the staff, use to come here regularly but will definitely reconsider next time. Rest of the lunch was normal but don’t like being ripped off.

My 'well done' steak was almost mooing on the plate it was so red inside - so that was disappointing. It came out quickly, but that was because it wasn't cooked properly. There was red juices on the plate and inside the steak and there should not be if it's well done. I did not enjoy it as a result and my husband ate half. Nothing particularly stood out to my husband or I on the menu - we were disappointed that there is no mixed grill. Sweet potato chips with aioli would be a nice addition as well as another veggie heavy meal like an eggplant lasagne or something. One of our kids had the macaroni cheese burger and thought it was good but the cheese overwhelmed the flavour of the patty and rest of the burger. The kids cheeseburger was good, and the chips were pretty good. The chicken sliders were nice. The staff were friendly. The dining area was largely tidy. The kids play area is good, but that's not really Diggers. Edit: We went back 9 months later to meet friends. My son had a hair in his meal but ate it anyway, minus the hair. My diggers burger was good. Very filling. Mys husband cut his burger in half to make it easier to eat and noticed that pretty much all the lettuce was on one side. The meals were filling. The wait staff were pleasant and clearly announced what meals they'd brought out.

$20 for a snitzel burger & chips that wasnt nice was a lot of money. Chicken was greasy, cheese wasnt nice & chips looked & tasted like they were the cheapest frozen chips you can buy from the supermarket. Staff were friendly & helpful, club was very clean & had a nice atmosphere about it. The kids play area was excellent & my kids loved playing in it

This is a really efficient Bistro and the food is restaurant class!! You have to have your table number BEFORE you line up which is a really good idea: otherwise you're scratching to go back to a find a table after you've ordered or before you ordered and you hold up the whole queue!! Great menu variety something for everyone gluten free and vegetarian options abound! Comfy seating, plenty of lovely little nooks to find and the bar is really close it's quite pleasant and quiet. The ordering process is quick and efficient and the delivery is very quick vy friendly lovely, helpful staff.

Sandwich shop
Casual counter-serve chain for build-your-own sandwiches & salads, with health-conscious options.
Me and my partner were traveling back from Canberra and felt like enjoying one of the finest from subway. We checked out Google Maps and it told us that there was a sub provider only 45 minutes from us. My partner, who was passenger, said that some of the reviews were looking a bit scetchy. Notably, “Staff need to crack a smile, their depression posses me off ! Every time !”, among others that lead us to think we may be making a huge mistake. We decided we would risk it all and test the franchise for ourselves, as we are aware that some people have different standards of service and empathy. We are pleased to report, that we received fantastic service! Our subs came out beautifully, with great structural integrity and taste. We chose to sit outside on the grass and look at one of Australias biggest landmarks (Big Marino). To be fair, the outside car park and restaurant weren’t super clean, so maybe would bring us down a half star. But overall, great job Goulburn Subway!
Tom — Google review
Hugely Disappointing Experience at Subway Goulburn… I usually love Subway — I eat it at least once a week, and it’s often the highlight of my lunch break. But after my recent visit to the Goulburn drive-through location, I’m honestly questioning if I’ll bother going back. I pulled into the drive-through and sat there for a solid 10 minutes before the staff member even acknowledged I was there. No apology, no sense of urgency, just attitude over the speaker like I was somehow the inconvenience. Not a great start. But it got worse. I ordered my usual sub, expecting the same fresh, satisfying meal I always enjoy…oh boy was I wrong… only to open it and find the sandwich completely cut in half on both sides to the point where everything fell out. All my fillings ended up in my lap. I was left eating basically just bread with sauce, and having to awkwardly pick up stray pieces of meat and salad one by one just to get something in me. Because I was in the drive-through, I had no way of returning or speaking to staff by the time I noticed. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, and to be honest — it ruined my dinner. Subway Goulburn, this was a seriously poor effort. I expect more — especially from a brand I usually trust and enjoy. This location needs new management or to be shut down !!!
James T — Google review
Poor customer service and very rude staff members. We tried to order one wrap and one southern style chicken bites but the quantity we got was very low as they did not want to serve us properly. No vegetarian options was also there. Need to improve the quality of their customer service a lot.
Abhilasha N — Google review
My partner and I had ordered on the app about 40 mins prior to getting to the store. When I walked in I stood waiting patiently to the side while the two workers finished with other customers. When they finally acknowledged me they insisted that no such order had come through, which obviously meant that it had not been made yet. A little disappointing because the point of ordering online is to have it ready for pick up lol. When our order had finally been found, the younger worker began making them, I could see her throwing it together in an angry manner. Kind of embarrassing to watch honestly because I stayed patient and respectful the whole time. When we were given our food we were met with bluntness and hostility from the young girl who had messed up our order. I don’t expect to be begged for forgiveness but a tiny bit of respect should be obvious. The ingredients were also not even on the bread when I opened the package after getting back on the road. PLEASE LEARN TO MAKE A SANDWICH IF YOU'RE GONNA WORK AT SUBWAY. and learn to treat deserving customers with some decency.
Laella F — Google review
Had an great experience at this subway. The staff was amazing. Though quite busy being only two staff members behind the counter, the staff didn’t forget to put a smile on their face while serving. To improve the service further they might need more staff as it ocassuonally gets quite busy.
Tajinder S — Google review
The staff were friendly and the service and my gluten free wrap were really good. We were there at 11:50 and there was nobody else there. However I was shocked at how dirty every table and the floor was. It could not have been swept or mopped today. The one rubbish bin was overflowing. The toilet was ok, other than there was no paper in the paper towel dispenser. And all this just before any lunch rush ☹️
Sue L — Google review
This place is very dirty. Toilet has sauce stains on the wall and does not look like it’s been cleaned in a long time. The eating area is dirty. It also seems the air con is broken which is fine but the state of the vent is a health hazard. Please fix this. Food was ok.
Elisha C — Google review
Understaffed, and they don’t listen to your order. They put salt and pepper when we said no. Ruined the whole sandwich. No cookies in the display cabinet but apparently plenty under the bench?? Place is dirty, bin was overflowing and staff stood around chatting about when they are clocking off. Could’ve emptied the bin instead… No paper towel in the bathroom. If you’re on a road trip, go to maccas, red rooster or KFC instead, don’t bother with this place. PS: one of the workers clearly had a big night last night and showed up to work with a giant hickey on her neck. Like come on. At least try to cover it up. I don’t need to know what you did on your Saturday…or rather who…

Chicken restaurant
Red Rooster Goulburn is a well-known counter-serve chain that focuses on delicious roast chicken, alongside an array of burgers, crispy chips, and fresh salads. On my journey through Goulburn after a long five-hour drive, I decided to take a break and heed the advice of a friend who raved about their famous rooster roll. Little did I know that Goulburn was larger than I anticipated and had two locations!
On Friday 1st of July 2022 after a 5hr drive (and still a massive drive ahead of me) I had stopped in Goulburn and with recommendation of a friend to try the rooster roll. So I thought why not, get petrol, get a roll and on my way. I ordered online not aware of how big Goulburn was, and that there was two restaurants. After nearly 30 minutes waiting for my online order at Hume St, I asked the girl serving said they didn't have my order and probably meant the one in town - goodness I felt like a fool, plus getting behind in time. So put in the Auburn st one in google maps, and even though it had the correct address google maps kept directing me to shopping centre. Needless to say I went on a wild goose chase (parked the car walked aroundthw shopping centre)...becoming a little more distraught and frustrated as time passed and I didn't know the streets or area to know where to go. I was on the verge of giving up (even if I paid) and just get back on the road when I get a phone call from the Auburn restaurant. I explained that I was lost, had no idea where it could be located. The guy on the phone was very understanding and helpful, and he stayed on the phone with me till I found the correct location; then i had to find parking. He said they'd make it fresh for me when I arrived - and they did!! I was so grateful for the kindness and patience with that service. I still had a 10 hr drive ahead of me and that was to be my main meal. The food was great - but what really boosted my spirits was the above and beyond customer service...when I needed it the most - unknowingly. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!! Will always make a Red Rooster stop at the Auburn restaurant if I ever stop in Goulburn again! 🐓😍

Went to the red rooster near bunnings as the chicken cooked was better than in town. Ordered 12 pack fried chicken and asked to make sure 4 of the pieces were thighs. Ensured server understood as did not acknowledge request as only gave blank look. Looks like should have checked order before leaving store as got plenty of chicken wing pieces but no thigh pieces. Second time same server got order wrong. What has happened to the quality, care and service? Red rooster used to have the best chicken and chips but no longer.
D. G — Google review
A very ordinary burger for $12. Don’t come to red rooster often and after this, probably won’t again.
Mr A — Google review
Firstly, it was hard to find the place as google maps kept directing us inside the shopping centre. When we finally found the store, we were hoping we could dine in there as a family of 5 as we did not want to do any dishes at the motel after driving for 6hrs. Consequently, we ordered the fried pack and some additional items on the menu. Along with the fried pack was a 1.5 litre coke which we hoped to share while dining. After about 30 minutes of waiting and the children excited to try Red Rooster right then and there, we were told they don't have cups. How the hell are we gonna drink the litre of coke? Plus there were no plates with the order too. They knew it was a group meal, shouldn't it be automatic to give plates and cups? They did not even offer any suggestions or explanation as to why they don't have cups: is it the norm or they ran out, we don't know. They just unapolegitically said no cups. So we just went back to the motel and ate. Adding to our disappointment was the food itself: everything was too salty! My husband and I knew it was too salty as we always have Red Rooster in Melbourne. Definitely not coming back to Red Rooster Auburn

My partner stopped here on the way back to Sydney and has had the worst cases of food poisoning I have ever seen. He waited 15 minutes in the drive through and food was cold when he got it. Please be aware of eating here as it's a heath and safety risk.
Patricia N — Google review
It took 1 hour 35mins for my food to be delivered. My food was cold and ruined I ended up throughing it away. My drink must have been dropped or thrown into the bag as it went everywhere when I opened it. Has to be the worst experience I have ever had from a Red Rooster store. Waste of time and money.
Jacob H — Google review
I have had Red Rooster delivered a couple of times now and have been disappointed every time. Delivery takes forever (I live a five minute walk away) and is always cold by the time it is delivered. Today I thought I would give you another go by actually going in to the store, Auburn St. GOULBURN. Wrong move. There was only one other person waiting and three visible staff. Eventually one staff member managed to come to the counter to serve him and then went back to the prep area. I stood and waited for several more minutes in the vain hope that I would be served soon. No such luck. No one even acknowledged my presence let alone made an effort to serve me. Looks like a hamburger for dinner tonight. Will I ever go back? Not a hope in hell.

Military Museums
Perched atop Rocky Hill, the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum in Goulburn is a tribute to the soldiers of WWI. The museum showcases a remarkable collection of military artifacts thoughtfully displayed in both old and new sections. The memorial tower, built in 1925 through public funding, honors local service personnel and offers breathtaking views of Goulburn and its surroundings.
Another really well designed Australian war memorial, where the modern expansion nicely complements the historical landmarks. Driving into the memorial seems a bit drab, but upon entry, it is much more pleasant. Enjoyed the views of Goulburn from the tower, makes for a nice detour en route to Canberra. Entry is free, but donations are welcomed.
Life's A — Google review
An interesting war memorial and museum. Before coming here, we did not know at all that there were soldiers from Goulburn who contributed and risked their lives for several wars that happened throughout history. Unfortunately, the museum was closed when we came on Thursday (their opening days are weird). Also, the memorial tower was on renovation. There is a scenic lookout that overlooks the Goulburn city, it was pretty beautiful. There is a picnic bench and I think we saw a walking track as well. We did not stay until sunset hour, but I bet the view of the sunset would be stunning from up here.

Great war memorial in the Goulburn Hills. Stairs to the top are adorned with information boards. Awesome views from the top. Parking is plentiful as well as mobility parking. Beware of snakes signs on display. A museum is on-site as well.

Beautiful views of Goulburn township and the surrounding hills. The tower is open again after being closed for a few months, there are a few flights of stairs to get to the top but it's worth it ! The adjacent war museum was great too.

The Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre, located on Braidwood Road, is a must-visit for railway enthusiasts. This museum showcases the transition from steam to diesel eras with its well-preserved 42-road roundhouse that operated from 1918 to 1986. Visitors can explore an impressive collection of steam and diesel locomotives, including a historic Vulcan Foundry tank engine dating back to 1884.
I am very grateful for my friendship with the steam locomotives there. It’s a pity 5916 and 3085 have departed permanently, though. I hope they’re enjoying their new residency at Oberon Tarana Heritage Railway. I saw the photos of 3085’s departure and I could sense that she was a bit nervous and scared. I guess a 113-year-old rust-covered steam locomotive would feel that way if she was taken somewhere unfamiliar.
Rebecca W — Google review
Great place to visit to see historic trains and the round yard. Friendly staff who were happy to chat about the locomotives and the items on display. We got there late with only 1/2 before closing, but we still got to see most of the displays. Would recommend visiting if you're in the Goulburn area.
CarolynA ( — Google review
The Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre is the main precipice of the railway centric town of Goulburn. Although I wasn’t fortunate enough to see any of the engines up And running, I was still amazed by what their collection of preserved locomotives had to offer. I even met a volunteer who actually met The Flying Scotsman during her Australian tour in 1988 when stopping at Goulburn. This museum is an absolute must visit when you’re on holidays in this very historic town.

Argyle Emporium, located in the old police station on Sloane Street, offers a vast collection of second-hand books, vinyl records, posters, and comics. Iv never been here before...but I'm glad I walked in...This place is like heaven for people whom like books of all kind .(Think of it a a mini library that has a rich collection of books that could be good for reading, doing a research or just for entertainment) They have history books. The Park Cafe is a popular spot for an early breakfast, located near the Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum. The museum has received the Tripadvisor 2020 Travellers Choice Award, placing it in the top 10% of tourist attractions worldwide. Meridian Cafe, situated along the Hume Highway, offers fresh seasonal meals and an ambient environment with art exhibitions and outdoor seating. Visitors can enjoy a variety of food options at The Park Cafe while appreciating its lovely decor and COVID-safe measures.
The Park Cafe has amazing food, service and atmosphere. Our family was on our way to Canberra and decided to stop at this cafe, it looked appealing as it was a nice open space with lots of greenery located next to the park. We were then welcomed by the staff with friendly faces and ordered our food. They had a great range of menu items that were vegetarian and vegan friendly. We ordered the breakfast bruschetta and the farmers breakfast. They were both prepared very quickly and pleasantly suprised by the presentation and portion of all dishes that tasted absolutely fantastic. In summary it is a genuinely nice cafe that has lots to offer and is a better and healthy alternative to fast food.

Coffee was tops. Clean and inviting. Lovely french type pastries. Scrambled eggs was ok, maybe make them a little more buttery. Unfortunately they do not have croissants 🥐 and they don't make omelettes. First cafe that doesn't step outside the square to accommodate diary needs even though a simple egg and cheese omelette is easy to make. The pastries really look good. It was very busy with a constant stream of customers. You will enjoy coming here.

My toasted croissant was excellent . Coffee also was made precisely as requested and both arrived promptly with the cheerful delivery woman. Good accessible Cafe aoart from one section uo three stairs. Plenty accessible as well as the toilet. Shout out to these guys because they chased me down the road to let me know I'd left my bag in the cafe . Mist thankful!

Saturday morning and I got my coffee quite quickly and it was really great. Didn't have to wait long for the food either. Large servings too, couldn't eat it all!

Lovely cafe. The layout is great. The staff were very willing to listen to my allergy questions The eggs Benedict were great. They kindly added a slice of lemon as the commercial hollandaise forgets that ingredient. Awesome place

I was in Goulburn for training for two weeks and stopped in every morning for my coffee. Every time I enters the cave I was greeted with a good morning and smile. Pretty much by the time I left the point of sale to walk to the end of the counter, my coffee was made and ready to go. By the third day my order was already remembered and entered without me asking. The coffee was delicious and perfect temperature. I only wish I had the time to sit in and have breakfast to take in the relaxed environment. Well done guys!

Park St Cafe has to one of the best coffee spots I’ve come across in a while. The coffee was smooth, rich, and made just right! Not burnt. You can tell they know what they’re doing. The vibe of the place is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly and made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. If you live in Goulburn you truly have a gem here! Sad Im only stopping through and cant experience this cafe a little longer!

Excellent! We stopped for coffee and cake on a road trip, and it was a wise choice 👌 The cake display was magnificent, plus the Cafe also served breakfast & lunch ( the menu had plenty of house made options - pasta of the day, quiche of the day etc.). The coffee was hot and had great flavour, the staff were lovely and friendly and the Black Forest Cake was delish 😋 Highly recommended!

Greengrocer on Clifford is a spacious and cyclist-friendly spot with pleasant staff. The place offers a variety of fresh food options, including chicken schnitzel, Greek pasticho, salads, and creamy berry cheesecake. It also features a display of fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Despite some service hiccups like an unaccommodating barista and missed orders, the overall experience is positive with reasonable prices for food and great value buckets of beer.
Amazing place with so much on offer. Lots of fresh food options. We had a great chicken schnitzel and salad and the Greek pasticho with salad. Followed by really good coffee and a super delicious and creamy berry cheesecake. The place has such a great feel for fresh food with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables in displayed which are for sale and also the kitchen uses it as needed for juices, salads and more. Big pizza oven that seems to get used for many other dishes too. The staff were super friendly as well. Well done to the managers and owners for running such a wonderful place.

We had dinner of gluten free pizza and breakfast of eggs Benedick. The pizza were great. The hot pizza was not spicy at all but still good. The eggs Benedict was very good just not generous.

It's been a good 10 years since I've eaten here. The place looks amazing and the prices for food are certainly reasonable. The buckets of beer are also great value and cheaper than what you'd pay at other places. Food tasted amazing, had the meatlovers medium pizza, which was a very generous serving 😋 👌. Missed out on 5 stars, unfortunately, as they failed to bring out the garlic bread that I ordered. 😕

I’m not a fan of food that comes to your table in plastic. The Bircher muesli was excellent, rich with yoghurt a strawberry and raspberry, nuts and oats. With a cup of English breakfast tea it’s a good way to kick off your day. The almond croissant was buttery and flakey. And check out Bella, a little robot that delivers the dishes to your table. A good spot when stopping by in Goulburn.

A unique gem in Goulburn: part cycle shop, part cafe, part fresh food grocer, part restaurant -- and all of it dished out with friendly service and good value. We enjoyed an excellent lunch of Pasticio (penne lasagna) and a chicken schnitzel -- absolutely delicious, gorgeously fresh, and massively portioned. Next time we visit we will definitely try the pizzas: they looked incredible. Thank you, Vicki and your entire team!

Nice big place. Great if you cycle with wash basins for you. Arrived there at 3:30pm after a stretch on the road. Can say the staff was pleasant and accomodating with the food we order. The coffee was ok but for sure the Barrista that day the dude needs an attitude fix. Suspect he was the owner as the kitchen was 1 minute closed and he asked the staff to try and sell us pizzas instead. Douche plus was not polite at all serving coffees. Have to give credit to the staff but not the douchebag owner.

Had wonderful lunch on the weekend. Service was excellent. We spilled ice coffee on the floor accidently. They cleaned up right away even though it was very busy and brought new coffee. The portion for the pasta was big. Fresh homemade pizza was nice too.

Museums
Located on the scenic banks of the Wollondilly River at Marsden Weir, Goulburn Historic Waterworks is a well-preserved site that dates back to 1885. It was Goulburn's first reticulated water supply and features a pumping station with an intact Appleby Bros. beam engine pump and W&J Galloway & Sons Boilers, making it the only complete, steam-powered municipal water supply facility in its original location in the Southern Hemisphere.
Amazing history here, last one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Our tour guide had fantastic knowledge of the whole site, and while this is basically a free site, you can give a small donation and please do, as the site is mostly maintained by volunteers. We are so glad we popped in for a visit on our way to Canberra.

When passing through Goulburn, it's worth taking a moment to stop, look around, and enjoy a short walk if you have the time. It's peaceful and beautiful! You can see black swans relaxing in the river while the warm sun bathes you in calmness.
Yang Z — Google review
Popped in after the excellent river walk. Unfortunately the cafe was closed as it was not a steaming day. Even so, the kids loved the play area, and the gardens were lovely. The big kid (me) loved looking at the boilers. At first, I thought the museum was also closed. However, on pressing the call bell, a gentleman appeared unlocked the pump house and was a wealth of knowledge. Well worth a visit after the river walk and a must if you are a steam buff and want to see a working beam engine.
Darren P — Google review
Hidden gem in Gulburn. Fun fact: The steam powered pump is the oldest in the southern hemisphere in its original location. If you are driving by the town must stop for a quick visit. Michele the volunteer there was very kind and helpful in showing us around.

Well done preserving the engine in working condition. Gentleman explained every detail and was soo good. Voluntary Cash only donation, no entry fee.

It's free to visit the waterworks building and museum. The interior of the museum is not big , but it is fascinating, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable . There is just so much to learn. If you visit out of peak periods, when you walk up to the water works museum there is a buzzer you can press that will call a guide who will come to meet you and give you the option of a tour. This is what we did when we saw the building was closed There is a free carpark here and a beautifully maintained garden, with benches throughout were you can sit and take in the scenery. Wheelchair accessible parking and entry, plus bathrooms which are wheelchair accessible as well At the entry of the water works is a lovely picnic area with BBQ grills and tables, swings and toilets

The Pizza Kitchen in Goulburn is an excellent place for delicious pizzas. It has become a favorite spot since its opening, attracting many customers. While there was one recent negative experience reported, it seems to be an isolated incident and does not overshadow the overall positive reputation of the establishment. The pizzas are typically well-cooked with soft and flavorful dough. The menu offers a wide range of options, including customizable pizzas and dessert choices. Service is efficient and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for customers.
Stopped there on the way back from the coast. The service was lovely, the pizza choices were great for our different tastes (we had the supreme and the Greek), the crust was perfectly cooked, ingredients well-balanced and great size for the price! Highly recommend :)

One of, if not the worst, margarita pizza I have ever eaten. Absolutely no flavour, made extremely cheap, but they are happy to charge $23. My partner and I couldn't even finish half of it. Disgusting. Do not waste your money; go anywhere else.

Chinese restaurant
Mandy's Restaurant offers exceptional customer service with friendly and helpful staff who are knowledgeable about the menu. The food is incredible, especially their Chinese dishes which are moist, flavorful, and generously sauced. The rice is fresh and delicious, while their hand-made spring rolls are bursting with flavor. This place comes highly recommended for its outstanding cuisine. Additionally, Mandy's provides a cozy atmosphere and serves decent Chinese food at affordable prices.
Wonderful early dinner at Mandy's for our first visit. We were greeted by Mandy who was so welcoming and friendly even though we had arrived 20 mins before opening. We thoroughly enjoyed all courses and the serving sizes were generous. We had the steamed pork dim sims, sweet and sour pork (thin crisp batter with good chunks of tender quality pork and no gristle), black pepper beef, which was flavoursome and tender, which crunchy vegetables and special fried rice which was tasty and fluffy. We will definitely be back.

Great food here. The stir fried beef noodles were amazing. Staff were friendly and nice. Atmosphere was cozy. Would recommend a visit.
Brandon T — Google review
Cosy and a local’s regular. So glad they can cook without MSG. Make sure you ask. The crunchy beef we returned for. Sadly we don’t travel to this region often but we have a regular place to eat at now when in this area! Second time here and we were well satisfied. The cooks (family biz?) are from Malaysia, which is a relief because whatever they turned out is perfect and nostalgic for those who are used to Malaysian food. The king prawns are really king prawns btw! Holy. Huge and they have been generous with portions. The fish was well cooked. The veg perfect. Thank you!
Y L — Google review
I use to love Mandy’s but after my last visit I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The service is always good and I love the atmosphere in the restaurant but the food was terrible! Normally it’s alright but this time the food was almost burnt. It was like everything was cooked in a dirty, burnt wok. Very disappointing as I was having Chinese as a treat and now feel I wasted all those bad carbs for nothing.
Jay T — Google review
The food was okay, but the asian lady in charge was rude. She slammed the plate down and barely spoke to us. It seemed like she was only friendly to people she knew.We still thanked her when we left, but she didn't even acknowledge us. It felt like she was more welcoming to white people than Asians 🤔. definitely not coming back
Syb — Google review
The honey king prawns were the worst I have had and not hot. They were all stuck together sadly the batter was thick too. The Szechuan chicken and fried rice was awesome. The young girl who took my order was lovely and friendly. Maybe next time I’ll eat there but took it away as hotel I was staying at didn’t offer food so took it back there to eat.
MATTHEW W — Google review
They say don’t judge a book by its cover, even though the waiter ( assume Mandy’s son) was wearing gray tracksuit pants who a little disinterested in us but then the food came and we were surprised how nice it was, a constant stream of people picking up Take away orders showed how popular it was, the young waiter and I assume his older brother were lovely after we warmed to them, it’s not fancy but the food speaks for itself and it was bloody good, we are definitely going back!
David R — Google review
Decent Chinese food. Cosy inside. We had the lunch special. The selection was of the familiar Aussie Chinese. We had the Singapore noodles with chicken $12.90 and Mongolian beef with rice $12.90. Both were acceptable considering it's a small city.

Their gluten-free pizza base has garnered rave reviews for being one of the best around, and the option to swap in vegan cheese makes it even more appealing for those with dietary preferences.
Great food at very affordable price. The Mexican parmigiana was really yummy! Love the salad that came with it. The pizza and pasta were good as well. Will visit again next time we are in town.

5 stars from our side. Visited this Cafe on our trip from Sydney to Canberra. We ordered coffee's and potato wedges for us and pancakes and chicken nuggets with chips for our kids. Food was so yummy and fresh. Kids loved their pancake so fresh and tasty. Too many options in menu. Very friendly and helpful staff. Inside ambience was so good. Must visit Cafe if you are in Goulburn. We will be back next time for sure.

Been to Cafe 5911 twice recently and had an amazing experience each time. We loved that there were lots of vegetarian/vegan options which were all delicious. The smoothies, juices and coffee were also great. There was outside seating so we could also bring our pup. Most memorable of all, however, was the incredible service. The owner was so generous and kind that after our first visit, we had to come back again. Highly recommend!

Well i didn't eat there but ordered a malt vanilla thickshake.. easy request. I had to go in and ask for it ... after 20 minutes. Upon receiving it .. was a milkshake not a thickshake Did the right thing nicely returned to and said they would replace it. Second one was basically a milkshake again.. so gave up. Don't go here for thick shakes...

I visited Café 5911 with my family yesterday, and we were genuinely impressed. The food was exceptionally fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The café’s atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a unique charm that sets it apart. What stood out most was the café’s name and the imported tractor parked out front—it’s not just décor, it’s an icon. A perfect blend of rustic appeal and thoughtful branding. If you're traveling between Melbourne and Sydney, Café 5911 in Goulburn is a must-visit. It’s a delightful stop that adds character to the journey.

After reading positive reviews we decided to had our dinner at this place. The place is good but frankly speaking i do not like the ambience and food. Reception area is pretty dark and chairs are also pretty old and dirty. We ordered chicken tilkka in starters with moscato for me and white wine for my husband; chicken tikka masala, daal fry , roti and jeera rice in main course. Chicken tikka was marinated well but missing some kicking flavours. In main course, chicken tikka masala was prepared in ghee(may be); it was extreme heavy and too much oily. I managed to eat my roti with some chicken curry but did not have courage to get more and finished it with daal and rice. My husband had half roti and was unable to eat the remaining as chicken curry was so greasy! May be it was not our day :(

The Cathedral Church of St Saviour, located in Bourke Street, is a Gothic Anglican church that was designated as a cathedral by Queen Victoria. Designed by the renowned Australian architect Edmund Blackett, it is considered one of Australia's most beautiful Gothic-style churches. Constructed from Bundanoon sandstone, this masterpiece features delicate tracery throughout and a stunning east window. The cathedral offers services and tours to visitors.
One of the oldest gothic architecture in Goulburn. It is gorgeous. I came 9.15 and invited to have morning prayer in 9.30. And I liked it. The dean priest is also so kind. If visiting Goulburn again, definitely will stop by and contact the priest. Cheers.

Welcome to Goulburn Regional Art Gallery. We are the region's hub for presenting, exhibiting and collecting contemporary art. Our program is big, bold and full of ideas that will provoke conversation and connection to the work of the artists we work with. We are a cultural facility of Goulburn Mulwaree Council. We are open six days a week with exhibitions that present what is happening now in Australian contemporary art across two gallery spaces. Our exhibitions inspire our education and outreach initiatives which engage everyone from littlies under five years old to senior members of our community. We run programs everyday both at the Gallery and on the road. We actively acquire works for our permanent collection and commission new work for our public art program. We are located at the Civic Centre on Bourke Street, but our accesible entrance is via Church Street. Admission is always free and the Gallery Store is fully stocked with a carefully curated selection of artisan items, as well as our Gallery tote bags and catalogues. We acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional owners of these lands and custodians of country. Everything we do is for our artists and for our community. We want to make the arts part of daily life in Goulburn and welcome you to join our conversation.

Situated in the oldest bakery in town, it offers a delightful alfresco setting where visitors can savor their famous pies while taking in views of the Victorian Italianate post office building across the street. With over fifty years of experience, Bryants Bakery is renowned for its delectable selection of pies, sausage rolls, cakes, tarts, and slices.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. I see some one else noted pies were overcooked, I tend to agree. The pastry was very hard though the filling was very nice. Most surprising was the size of the pies, for $5 they are very small. Saving grace was the caramel slice, with milk chocolate it was a knock out. So my tip go there for the cakes not the pies.

I needed an extra large and extra special Birthday cake for a function in Goulburn yesterday- we’re from Batemans Bay and the amazing Cheryl and staff at Bryant’s Bakery accepted the challenge over the phone! They went above and beyond to make an amazing chocolate mud cake with cream and names piped on top that I was able to collect at a time that fitted in with the busy weekend of soccer in Goulburn. I highly recommend Bryant’s Bakery’s for the amazing service and also the delicious food. Thank you

Busy friendly cafe. Had coffee and apple turnover. Coffee good and hot. Turnover to die for! Light fluffy pastry, lightly sweetened apple foilling with a dusting of icing sugar. Absolute highlight of my early morning drive.

Android Pay over VISA works here. Don't get the aloha burger (chicken wasn't great: seemed microwaved and not crispy). Chicken Caesar roll was delicious though.

Ruined our young man's 21st. We ordered a half slab chocolate sponge, with icing, a month in advance. Nothing complicated. Cost was over $100. It was our mother's contribution to the 21st and we were very clear and simple with instructions when ordering. The only change was a few days before the party where we asked specifically for the icing to be flat, not combed with a pattern. Picked it up on the day (Saturday) and got it home out of the rain only to find the sides had not been iced. Just icing on top. Then discovered it was a plain sponge, not chocolate, as ordered (we were clear about this - they said at the time "chocolate mud?". We said no, just chocolate sponge". Called to complain and the woman seemed empathetic, said she was really angry with the baker and that the front-of-house staff are the ones who always have to deal with angry customers when the baker does this kind of thing. She agreed a refund was more than fair. She could not find our original order - it had been thrown out by them. They said they would speak to the baker and get him to call us back as it was his "stuff-up". They tried to call back once that day but the party had already started. When the cake was brought out with candles lit, it was an embarrassment to the whole family and we had to explain to the guests that the bakery had neglected to ice the sides and that it was meant to be chocolate - the birthday boy's favourite. Our mother called Bryant's first thing Monday, asking for a refund for the cake. They had since found the original order in the bin and said that as we had not specifically ordered icing on the sides, our pensioner mother was not entitled to a refund and essentially said it was our own fault. Who would EVER have thought you would need to ASK for sides to be iced on a cake? Have you ever seen one NOT iced on the sides that has been "professionally" done? They advised they would speak to someone to see if something could be done but never got back in contact with our mother. How disgraceful that this local, "family" business would treat customers this way. A family that had supported them for decades. Ought to be ashamed of themselves. We will never spend a cent there ever again.

Bryants Pies and Bakery in Goulburn have been around for about fifty years, always been a good place to get a pie or sausage roll, also a great selection of other cakes and sweet pies/tarts and slices. They have a range of different drinks and coffee, worth stopping by instead of bypassing the town and on a good day you can sit in the nearby park and enjoy your food.

St. Peter and Paul's Old Cathedral is an impressive structure with a rich history. While the exterior is stunning, some visitors were slightly disappointed by the interior, especially after visiting another spectacular cathedral. The atmosphere inside is serene and there seems to be a need for maintenance and restoration work. However, those fortunate enough to see it were captivated by its beauty, particularly the exquisite stained glass windows.
Must visit on Sydney-Canberra trip. Kudos for keeping the place well preserved, very picturesque and divine. Unexpected visit but truly happy to have experienced it.

Updating: This is our second visit here, and once again it brings a truly wonderful feeling. The atmosphere is calm and deeply peaceful. The donation machine is simple to use, and we lit candles with heartfelt prayers for our family’s health and wellbeing.

I pass through Goulburn a few times a year, but for the first time I discovered through Google Maps that there is a magnificent church in this small town! It is very beautiful both inside and outside.

What a glorious, grand old building. The old cathedral is certainly one of Goulburns landmark buildings, even before the recent sympathetic and meticulous renovation. Congrats to the parish and especially the committee so invested in the revamp. Its magnificent.

Beautifully restored cathedral. We were lucky to be able to look inside on this occasion of passing through Goulburn. it is stunning, and the stained glass windows are amazing.

Goulburn Local Court

Courthouse
The Goulburn Court House, located on Montague Street in Goulburn, is a remarkable court building designed by James Barnet. Built between 1885 and 1887, it showcases the Victorian Free Classical architectural style. Constructed using a combination of brick and sandstone, its notable features include a striking copper dome and an attractive arched porch at the main entrance. These are complemented by loggias on either side.
Was too scared to go inside as it is a working court house. At any rate it is one of the most spectacular public buildings in Australia when viewed from outside and especially beautiful in autumn with the leaves in colour.

Queen Victoria I reigns over the 1850s brick and the sandstone majestic remnant of our colonial days. The QVI carved into the stone balustrades at the front gate and the royal crown sitting atop the copper cupola. The building is a fantastic reminder of the once thriving NSW country and the challenging men and women who live in this region. If you get a chance visit during office hours for a look.

Been to Goulburn Court twice, and both times the experience was fair and professional. The officers are very friendly and respectful, and both judges I encountered were excellent—fair, patient, and understanding. A well-run courthouse overall.

5 stars. The funniest thing I have ever witnessed in my life happened here. The Honourable Robert Rabbiage opened the gates to hell on the most malicious individual I have ever met, Jessica Erith of Marulan. Like a death metal singer on steroids he unleashed a serve, not of this earth. Flames from his mouth, fire in his eyes and steam from his ears! The Truth, alas, was mine. A ray of sunlight entered the upper window and reated apon my head, a halo. And the swine, ah, retreat hoofed one.

Just so everyone knows, I am buying the Goulburn Court House and converting the building to luxury self-serviced apartments, which I plan listing on Airbnb. Was telling Gladys all about it when we had lunch the other day with Angus and Wendy. She said, "Totes cool Rum Baby, yeah nah don't worry about the paperwork. What are your thoughts on upgrading Goulburn TAFE into a stadium?" I replied, "Totes cool Gladys Baby, regional-based delivery of vocational education and training to meet local skills requirements is so 1890s." Angus said Goulburn needed to attract foreign investment by converting the hospital to a greyhound track with world class facilities like flushing toilets. Wendy disagreed. She thinks the hospital should remain, but something needs to be done about Goulburn's parking crisis. Someone suggested Victoria Park be renamed Car Park, but I can't remember who because we were all a bit sloshed TBH.

During a day trip, we decided to go for a drive and find somewhere to eat. After checking reviews, we came across Emperor Asian Restaurant and the feedback was accurate. The food at this establishment is fantastic - tender, flavorful, and well-presented. The staff were incredibly accommodating and always had smiles on their faces, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. This restaurant offers a peaceful atmosphere with subtle music and polite waitstaff.
Ordered takeaway from here last night. Was ready in under 15 minutes, fair price and excellent quality. Still hot and nice after the 30 minute drive home. I’ll definitely be back!

I have eaten here on a number of occasions and food was not bad last time was not good and tonight was pure slops that was served one dish we ordered was crispy beef this was in the fridge for at least a week the beef looked like roadkill that was very n the sun for a week the batter was soggy and soft the smell was like a rotten rodent smell and it was freezing in the middle. My honest advice stay clear or may die from food poisoning discussing food service not much better.

Had takeaway, but restaurant looked good. More importantly the food was delicious and generous portions. We had Seafood curry laksa. Chicken & cashews and special fried rice. Keep up the good work! Thanks for a great meal!
Mitri Z — Google review
The good - Sweet & sour pork was excellent, honey chicken was sensational. The OK - Mongoloian beef was ok, fried rice was good, had quite a bit of chicken in it which was a first, but one we didn't order. The not so good - satay chicken was abysmal, barely tastes like satay, more like oil. Beef & black bean tasted like charcoal and wasn't nice, crispy beef had no sauce so was not good either Overall, probably wouldn't go again except for the good ones above.
M P — Google review
Very disappointing. Frozen vegetables in “special” fried rice that was very bland, food did not taste fresh and was oily, and was not as ordered. (Takeaway so could not return) Would not return.

Soooo good. Excellent balance of flavours in our dishes and cooked to perfection. We were looking for a Thai restaurant nearby which was closed and the Emperor was open. Menu had some Thai options so we decided it would do. From the moment we walked in the aromas from the kitchen were amazing. Ordered vege spring rolls followed by basil chilli prawns and rainbow beef. Flavours were spicy without being overpowering. Prawns cooked to juicy perfection and tender beef coated in light crispy batter with gorgeous chili jam style sauce. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Restaurant is not licensed.

Wow! This restaurant has a quiet ambience, the music subtle, the staff polite. We started with Short Soup which was one of the best I have had. We then shared Chicken Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Pork and Satay Beef. All were lovely. Then deep fried icecream - and a generous serving at that! Yep - a great place for Chinese food. 😀

Golden Star Restaurant is an exceptional dining establishment that leaves a lasting impression. Its remarkable culinary creations and impeccable service make it a must-visit when in the area. The delectable dishes, such as the seafood stir fry and curry chicken with rice, are expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. While some may find the seasoning slightly overpowering in the curry, others will appreciate its distinct taste. Dining here is truly a shared experience to treasure, as recommended by countless patrons.
We had our reception at golden star and the staff made the night a very good and memorable one. Food was great, fresh and hot They are a great bunch of people and I'd highly recommend the place

The food was nice but for some reason I was given the honey chicken in separate containers. One was filled with plan batteries chicken and the other was the sauce. In all my life I’ve never been given it that way and I do have to say it tasted horrible. Usually get a great meal from here but was really disappointed tonight, especially with how much it costs atm.
Michaela M — Google review
Food was really nice, staff were super friendly and caring, just what you want to feel when eating in a new town whilst passing through.

Service is always good and food is always fairly quick. My last meal was very nice, ordered a beef and broccoli for lunch. The time previous to this wasn’t as good, so food quality can be a little inconsistent. As I can’t eat rice, I have to buy the main meal which is a shame as it’s pricey for no rice and a little more meat/veg. Almost $30 including a can on Coke Zero. If it was more affordable I would have it more often as its location is very convenient.
Jay T — Google review
Really good food (sweet and sour pork and braised chicken and ginger) and generous serve. Service efficient but could perhaps be a bit friendlier. Restaurant was busy on a Monday night so that says something and it gave it a nice vibe. The place was very clean but slightly old.
Kirsty L — Google review
Everything about this restaurant from the service to the fortune cookies was pure comfort. The fried rice was amazing, and the prawns were perfectly tender. Not rubbery and hard like you'd expect from other restaurants with big batch fried rice. The sweet and sour pork was beautifully crispy and flavourful; the sauce was delightful, even used it to dip the spring rolls in. The Mongolian beef was so tender I didn't even need to chew it it was melt in your mouth FLAVOUR. The lady who runs this restaurant is so lovely and generous she was so kind and welcoming.

I ventured in to this establishment at about 10pm last night after an all day bender commencing at 8:30am involving golf and alcohol. It was delicious however I vomited quite a bit that night, I do not believe this had anything to do with the succulent Chinese meal that I ordered. I also had leftovers this morning which I ate with a smile on my face while nursing a horrible hangover. I have vomited violently a lot today but again I don’t think it was the Chinese foods fault. Would 100% go again after a bender.

What a find! We dined here for lunch on a Tuesday, and I was surprised at busy it was! The service was friendly and fast, and the food also came out quickly. We ordered the Pad se ew, and the crispy pork. Both were so delicious! The prices are also very reasonable. A top quality Thai restaurant.

On our way back from Jervis Bay to Young, my husband and I decided to stop by Banthai in Goulburn, as we were craving Thai food. We’re so glad we did! This place absolutely made our trip. We ordered the Jungle Curry, Basil Chicken, and Chicken Wings, and each dish was fantastic. The flavors were so authentic and delicious, and the portions were generous. Their $15 meal deal, which includes a complimentary drink, is unbeatable. You’d be hard-pressed to find such great food at this price anywhere else in Australia. On top of the amazing food, the customer service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. We left completely satisfied and can’t recommend Banthai enough to anyone passing through Goulburn. Definitely a hidden gem for Thai food lovers!

Really enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere here, the service was fast and you could tell they were really busy not with just diners in the restaurant, but for take away orders. Ive been to thailand and the flavors were spot on they really calmed down the spice levels so if you enjoy the spice of thailand just communicate that to them and they will adjust the spice level.

We were visiting Goulburn and found this restaurant. Chose it from reviews. All the Thai restaurants in the local area had similar ratings, but chose this one, because the most people had rated it. It did not disappoint. This place is bustling and no wonder. Penang chicken curry and barbecue beef- yum! Generous serves and so tasty. Thanks, chef x Large space ,thank goodness, as we had no booking but they found us a table. Lovely staff. Takeaway bags flew out through the kitchen hatch at a rate of knots. On leaving, saw people waiting outside for a table. Good timing, great food♥️.

Park
Victoria Park in Goulburn boasts a magnificent rose garden with around 1,500 roses of 100 different varieties, all conveniently labeled. The park has recently been renovated and now features excellent facilities for children, including a flying fox, climbing castle, mini maze, basketball court, and more. Visitors can also enjoy the modern BBQ areas and shaded spaces. While the playground offers something for all ages to enjoy, some visitors have noted that the restroom facilities could use improvement.
Great park to get the kids to let off steam, from the climbing nets to the maize

This park should get better security, one of my friends got threatened (with a razor sharp knife) by a kid on the skateboard park, he also almost lit up a fire in the steep hill down the skateboard park, this park is good but security must improve, my friend is literally scared to go to that park. (If you’re wondering about his appearance he has a slightly curly orange hair, I won’t share his name for personal reasons and he’s short, I’ve heard he’s in grade 6 in 2024) so please upgrade the safety

We love the adventure park. From the flying fox to the big round swing and the slippery sides, we always have lots of fun. Playground
Goulburn Adventure Playground, located in Victoria Park, offers a wide range of activities for kids to enjoy. The playground features various play equipment suitable for both younger and older children. While the park lacks shade in some areas, it provides picnic tables, BBQ facilities, and ample space for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their kids. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the park and its accessibility during school holidays. Additionally, there are basketball courts available for those who want to engage in sports activities.
The Goulburn Adventure Playground is a must for any young family looking to break up the trip along the Hume between Sydney and Melbourne. New, well-kept, toilet and BBQ facilities, and plenty of options for the kids to enjoy.
Andrew D — Google review
Open playground with lots of space for picnicking and multiple shade structures for parents and adults to rest in without having to stand long under the sun. The toilets were also nearby. There are many play options but my nieces loved the zip line. There were provisions for two zip lines but only one was functional and with so many kids lined up, they were not able to play as often as they wanted. Nevertheless, we enjoyed some wonderful rest and play time with the other families in the playground. There is also an aquatic centre which we hope to explore during our next visit to the park.
Kelzang W — Google review
This is a very large and beautiful park with plenty of street parking. The toilets were old but nice and close which was convenient. There are lots of defined spaces for younger and older kid with play equipment for each. There are a couple of shade sails but the majority of the park is exposed to the sun. There are some picnic tables and bbq facilities and lots of places for parents to sit to watch the kids.
Kim N — Google review
A fantastic park for the kids, heaps to do, easy to get to and always a pleasure to stop at. Even during School Holidays, whilst it was busy, it wasn't overly crowded at all. Goulburn Council seems to work very hard keeping this park clean for visitors. Hardly any graffiti seen. Could have done with some more rubbish 🗑 bins around.
Lewmish M — Google review
Great playground, picnic tables, flying fox and green open space. Basketball courts as well if you bring your ball 🏀 Pick up some lunch in town and let the kids to stretch their legs.

A must stop with the kids, one of the best we have seen. Well thought out and an adventure. Kids had a ball.
Cathy C — Google review
Basically a great playground although not without its issues: not a lot of shade at present, although this will change as trees grow; a maze which is fun but means you inevitably lose your kids in it; and an inviting nautically themed climbing rig that small kids can get into but not out of, meaning every hour or so a parent has to go in there to rescue one.

The St. Clair Villa Museum and Archives is a charming establishment that houses local artifacts, photographs, and documents dating back to the 1800s. This small yet delightful gallery showcases the region's arts and crafts, with particular admiration for the exquisite patchwork displayed on their quilts. The friendly staff informed visitors that these masterpieces are generously donated by a group of artisans to help those in need—an admirable gesture.
Went on a tour it was great there is a ghost as well which adds to the old world historical displays and furniture

Such a shame this place was closed for maintenance when I was visiting Goulburn. Being from another St Clair in the world I would have loved to have seen St Clair Museum. Maybe next time. Please alert when open and the opening hours.

Goulburn Wetlands, located near the war memorial on the Mulwaree River, has undergone extensive restoration in recent years. Spanning 13.5 hectares, it offers two walking tracks with informative signs showcasing its natural diversity. The wetlands are a haven for various water birds such as ducks, herons, and spoonbills, as well as other bird species like goshawks, falcons, kites, and parrots.
Goulburn Town gave me an unexpected surprise. I used to only come here to take pictures of bullfighting and windmills, but this trip really broadened my horizons. I love it so much.

I took my grandchildren for day trip to Goulburn Wetlands We all enjoyed the walk but it proved hard to find enough water due to period of drought conditions The signage was excellent and we also found visiting the cemetery on route historically interesting The largest poundage had a wonderful hide to observe the water birds

This lovely wetland is a staged regeneration of an abandoned brick pit and pond flowing through Goulburn City. At the time we visited it was well established with heaps of birds in the air and water. There is a viewing platform that gives good viewing of the whole of the visible wetland area. Popular place, need to go early to avoid the heat as well. There are walking tracks around the area for the adventurous. Free entry. You can spend several hours here depending on your interests. Wear comfy shoes, take water, wear hat, sunscreen. Beautiful place. Lots to see. Parking is easy. Great place for photography.

Everything I visit the wetlands it gets a little bit more interesting and pretty. More birds, some landscaping, and the gardens becoming more established, all adding to the lovely walk around.

Such a beautiful place to go for a walk around town. It’s about a 25 mins walk slow pace taking in all the scenery. You can see birds and kangaroos up close.

Nice little park/wetland in Goulburn. Two different easy pathsthrough the area with a lot of information signs about the flora and fauna. Lots of animals, including a troop of kangaroos that has taken up residence. Also several Bird Hides for your early morning bird spotting.

Brewery
Food & Drink
The Goulburn Brewery, designed by renowned architect Francis Greenway and constructed from 1836 to 1840, is a heritage-listed establishment in country NSW. Its buildings, primarily made of load-bearing brickwork, stand as a significant industrial complex from early colonial times. Over the years, it has adapted to different economic shifts and now offers guided heritage tours, tastings, entertainment, and displays.
This brewery is an absolute gem. Housed in a beautifully preserved historical building, it has an atmosphere that’s both charming and unique you really feel the character of the place as soon as you walk in. The attention to detail in honoring the building’s past while creating a modern, welcoming space is amazing. The beer selection is top-notch, with something for every palate, from crisp lagers to bold IPAs and rich stouts. My two favourites were the Local Larger and Hazy Pale. But what really surprised me was the food it’s not your typical “brewery bites.” Every dish was fresh and flavorful, making the meal just as much of a highlight as the drinks. Between the historic setting, amazing food, and great craft beer, this brewery is the perfect spot for both locals and visitors. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Gareth D — Google review
We went out with friends on Saturday night and visited the brewery for the first time. It turned out to be such a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the cheese and cured meat platter, which was packed with flavor and a perfect way to begin the night. The pork knuckle was incredible—so tender it melted in the mouth—served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh slaw that complemented it perfectly. We also tried the scotch fillet, which was just the right size and cooked to perfection, something that’s rare to find these days. Overall, we had an amazing evening and truly enjoyed everything. We’ll definitely be back!

Great upmarket country vibe with delicious food and great beers. The arancini balls were great. There were a lot of whole olives with the ciabatta- I had hoped it would be more ciabatta and less olive but it was nice, and something different with the chorizo in it. Perhaps an olive and herb paste and some olive oil might be a nice addition to this dish, with a few less whole olives and more bread. The pork knuckle hit the spot and the burger had some great flavours. Quite good portion sizes. The beers were nice. The sparkling was different and we loved it. The IPA and the Hoppy lager were also favourites. The stout was on the lighter side but still a full flavour which we enjoyed - really nice. The grounds were picturesque with a heritage feel and have been manicured beautifully. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Table water was brought without having to ask, staff were considerate and waited for me to take my photo before placing more food in front of me, paying was easy and efficient. I love the uniform! Reminds me a bit of the Clarkson's farm style Farmers Dog pub with a quality feel that you can tell lots of heart has gone into. A kids menu would be a welcome addition to provide a cheaper option for families so parents can enjoy themselves and aren't priced out of going. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch there yesterday afternoon. The venue is beautiful, with a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. The food was amazing and well-priced, and it was hard to choose a favourite beer as they were all fantastic! The menu had something for everyone, with plenty of interesting choices that will definitely make you want to come back and try more. My personal highlight was the poached apple & pear crumble dessert—absolutely delicious! Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and great food. The outdoor area, with its beautiful lawns, is perfect for a picnic. We can’t wait to go back! There’s also a great little shop where you can pick up merchandise like T-shirts and hats, as well as take-home beer to enjoy later.

The old brewery has been restored beautifully and the food was absolutely delicious. Standout dishes was the pork knuckle, chicken schnitzel and grilled fish. What really made our visit special was the three staff working on Friday when we visited. They were friendly, helpful and provided an amazing level of customer service. We can't wait to make this our regular stop on our travels and are excited to see what they continue to do with the place.

Pizza restaurant
I am from the Central Coast and have visited two local Crust Pizza restaurants multiple times, but the Goulburn location surpasses both of them. The pizza I always order tastes exactly the same here, and this is actually the first time I could truly savor the pesto flavor. A friend ordered a spicy pizza that he has previously tried on the coast, and he claimed that the one in Goulburn was far superior in terms of spiciness.
Stopped at crust goulburn on my way home to Canberra from Sydney last night. It was the best pesto club chicken pizza I ever had! I only had a few slices on site then drove home.. the pizza was still even then the best pizza. Staff were friendly and lovely and chatty

Ordered late afternoon for 7:30 pm delivery. Was rung to ask if they could substitute ingredients on one of the pizzas as they had run out. More than happy to substitute. By 8pm nothing had turned up. Went to the front door and they'd just been dumped there. Stone cold by the time we found them. One pizza missing totally. Rang the store and was told that particular pizza had been discontinued. They were happy to take the money though. Asked for a refund (actually wanted to send the whole lot back). Was told it would be 2-3 business days to get it back. Won't be holding my breath. Will never be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs. If ai could give less than one star I would.....

I’m from the Central Coast and I’ve been to my 2 local Crust’s multiple times but the Goulburn store beats both of them!! I always get the exact same pizza and this is the first time I’ve actually been able to taste the pesto flavour. My friend ordered a spicy pizza that he’s gotten from the coast and said the Goulburn one absolutely smashed it and was actually spicy unlucky on the CC. The staff were friendly and our order was ready within the online estimation time and handed over fresh and hot. We would honestly travel the 3 or so hours just to get our pizzas from here again 11/10

⭐️ Worst Pizza Ever – Very Disappointed Absolutely the worst pizza I’ve ever had. The base was soggy, the toppings were sparse and tasteless, and it was barely warm when delivered. Total waste of money – I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Order placed at 6:35, said 40mins for delivery, i called at 7:42 and told order will be another 25mins, order at my door 8:23, 2 pizzas and 2 sides.. all great products and taste great but.. Order a Hawaiian and Pepperoni, Hawaiian was great but the Pepperoni.. wasn't a Pepperoni (see attached pictures)
Dave C — Google review
Ordered in error. Rang immediately and told them not to make the pizza. They said their manager would ring back about my refund. He did call me, then said he would ring back again. He did not. Have tried calling multiple times during business hours but they never pick up the phone.
Dan R — Google review
Worst experience at a food establishment we have had. We got in ahead of the crowd and ordered pizzas at 11am today online for 6pm delivery tonight, had no pizza at 630 so rang up and got told they were in the oven, still no pizza at 730 so rang again and got told again they were in the oven so we drove down there and got told they were out of ingredients to make pizzas. They wanted to charge us $50 for the 2 pizzas they had made even though they couldn’t make the remaining 6. Will never use again and will strongly recommend everyone stays away. If you don’t have ingredients to make pizzas be honest with customers so they can go elsewhere. We had 6 kids under 4 waiting for dinner, if we knew we weren’t going to get out dinner we would have went elsewhere. I hope my kids don’t starve.

Nestled in the heart of Goulburn, Goulburn Chinese Restaurant is a beloved spot that draws both locals and travelers eager to indulge in authentic Chinese flavors. This charming eatery boasts a welcoming ambiance that transports diners back to simpler times, reminiscent of the mid-1980s. With its prime location on Market St, it’s an easily accessible gem for anyone exploring the area. The restaurant prides itself on serving delicious dishes crafted from fresh ingredients, ensuring every bite bursts with flavor.
Good food and fast service. We went in just before closing and that too on Sunday afternoon. We were served by a Lovely lady. Thank you!

I have to say, last night was the best Chinese I have had in years! If it wasn't 400km away, it would be my regular. A lady at the lilac festival parade reccommend it and it didn't disappoint. Do yourself a favour and get the chefs suggestion of quick fried beef & shallot, so simple yet so flavourful and the beef was perfectly velveted. 👌 The customer service from front of house was fab and the young fella had a great attitude, which made it even better. Even though the interier is dated, it is the kind of country town gem I expected to find. It doesn't detract from the food and service.

Easily the best Chinese food in the Goulburn region. Severed by Nathan and his lovely mother. Food portions are quite high but I still managed to eat the majority of my meal. Hadn’t touched the regular cutlery once! Delicious food and very affordable. I’d sincerely recommend it.

1:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Sunny February day. Hungry and wandering into these nostalgic premises, I’m greeted from the counter by our lovely owner of the business. I order myself a crispy fried honey chicken lunch special (side of fried rice included), $14. She compliments my hair. I sit down and soak up the ambience of this incredible, original, untouched by modernity restaurant. The back and front doors are thrown open to allow light and a beautiful cool breeze through the dining room. I feel at peace, and receive my food promptly, piping hot from the pan. George Michael’s Careless Whisper plays on the speakers (set at a reasonable, ambient volume), and I gaze at the golden gilded dragon wall accents, and the lovely cream and pink floral tablecloths gently billowing from that aforementioned breeze, and the lunar new year decorations strung up to the ceiling lights swaying. I couldn’t be happier with my dining experience. I enjoyed a very succulent Chinese meal here. And a beautifully relaxing dining experience with impeccable ambience.

The Coffee Club - Goulburn Square is a well-established café that serves all-day breakfast and lunches. They offer a variety of signature coffee blends. The customer service is exceptional, with friendly and joyful staff who always make you feel welcome. Their Large Salted Caramel Espresso Frappe with cream is highly recommended for its delicious taste. The café caters to both vegan and non-vegan customers, offering a great range of meals.
April 2025: The staff were friendly and had good communication. One staff member came over and asked me about my preferences for the pot of tea after I ordered using the QR code to order to the table. The eggs benny was great and my daughter enjoyed her decaf coffee. The decaf option didn't come up when ordering but I left a note and the ladies sorted it out with no issues at all. It's fairly dark in parts of the cafe but some people might like that. There are seats further into the light but no windows. The plush chairs were comfy! May 2025: The staff member was patient and helpful, made my drink perfectly (hot, not too sweet - as requested, great foam ratio), and brought everything out super quickly. The space is cosy and relaxing.

My pregnant wife sat at your store while she waited for our car’s service to be done. Pregnancy has not been easy, she has been getting overwhelmed and over stimulated in crowds lately so simply wanted some place to sit for a while and enjoy morning tea. A staff member informed her that she was not allowed to sit for longer than an hour and half and had to move on. There was no one else in the store so she wasn’t taking up a table someone else could have used, my wife was then forced to wander the mall instead. I’d like to say this is the first time but when we were there together at the start of the year, where a staff member waited until I left the table to bully my wife into leaving the once again empty store. Disappointing customer service and experience we will not be returning customers.

Ordered a simple, Flat white Scrambled eggs and soft bacon (informed them that I’d had a tooth out and please insure the bacon is soft, not hard) I got, Fried eggs (very over done) Bacon that was so hard I needed a chainsaw to get through it. My order was obviously sat somewhere and forgotten about because when I finally got it, it was very cold, almost like it had been sitting in the fridge. I had mentioned this to staff but it was brushed off with a “oh sorry about that” I think this coffee club needs staff who can cook after all, it’s the customer who is paying and expects food that you can at least cut or chew. Not recommend.

Despite having been locals for over 20 years we went to the Cascades for the first time yesterday, with two overseas friends. Riversdale is a charming Georgian homestead located in Goulburn, originally built as an inn in the 1830s. Over the years, it has served as a school and residence before being acquired by the Twynam family in 1875. The property showcases the artistic talents of Emily Twynam through her woodcarvings, artwork, and furniture that still adorn the house.
Good info about early NSW settlement in the tour. Nice historic furniture including a metre wide table made from a single slab of cedar. Nice gardens.

Thanks National Trust for caring for this very special property. It's in an unlikely area, hidden away behind an ugly industrial zone, but I felt like I'd stepped through a portal in time to a secret home and garden. Garroorigang is a unique private residence that offers a rare glimpse into life in the mid-19th century. Originally built as an inn for teamsters, it later served as a boys' boarding school and then became the private home of Samuel Harborne Belcher. The property, which has been preserved for over 160 years, is now open to the public by the Hume family, descendants of the explorer Hamilton Hume.
Highly recommend visiting Garrorigang House. The home is beautifully set on landscaped gardens and at the end of a nice long driveway. The home itself is amazing, full of original furniture, character and charm. Enjoy a fantastic guided tour by the owner and listen to the history of the home and how it was handed down from generation to generation. Take your time through the rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and lounge rooms. The home is amazing.

An eclectic 1850s residence that has experienced alternative lives as a school and an inn. The current owner is a member of the family that owned it for most of its existence. He guided us through the house, each room full of wonderful artefacts and even more tales from the past. Unfortunately we are not permitted to photograph inside or I would show you how spectacular the rooms are. Anyway, at least I have photographs of the outside.
Gregory L — Google review
Stuart Hume very kindly allowed us to visit today even though it is not currently open to the public off season, as he happened to be there himself today. Being filled with several generations of the Hume family furnishings, photos, memorabilia and travel souvenirs adds so much to the warmth and atmosphere of the lovely home. Also hearing so much of the history and changing configurations of the home from its earliest use as a pub, then an exclusive boys' school and then settling as a simple family home, was great 'fodder' for my love of old properties and their stories. In a pretty and old fashioned garden setting, I can imagine it would look lovely in spring and summer. There is also an historical marker outside by the road commemorating Hume and Hovell's expedition passing through that location on their 1200 mile (4 month) trek overland to Geelong and back. I certainly recommend a visit here, on the Braidwood Road, just 5 mins out from the centre of Goulburn. The house is brimming with beautiful fixtures (eg gorgeous and unusual lights), artifacts, and precious family possessions.

Nice building, beautiful garden. Many trees .

Wonderful old home/establishment filled with beautiful, original furniture and treasures of those who have come before. An historical treasure, which is being so well looked after and shared by the Hume family. An entry fee of $15 each gives you a guided tour through much of the home.

Highly recommend this place when visiting Goulburn. Hosts are so friendly and lovely. Stuart’s wife showed us around the homestead and rooms with antique furnitures. She also helped us taking photos and gave me some lavenders for making tea. Definitely will come back!

Kingsdale Wines is a picturesque winery located just a short drive north of the city, offering a laid-back cellar-door experience with a focus on sauvignon, semillon, and shiraz varietals. The limestone-clad cellar door overlooks Lake Sooley and provides an inviting setting to sample their wines while enjoying coffee and light refreshments. Additionally, visitors can explore locally-made handcrafts and take in the stunning views from the verandahs.
Amazing Malbec and single malt whiskey. Such a lovely little gem just out of Goulburn.

A hidden gem! Was recommended Kingsdale Wines by a colleague so stopped by with some family and friends for a quick look on our way through Goulburn. Ended up staying for hours and sleeping the night in Goulburn. The A-grade wine, whisky, cheese platters and nibbles were surpassed only by the hospitality of John and Georgia, who are knowledgeable and experienced beyond their years. Will take our children next time so they can experience the conversational exotic birds, horses, cows, pigs, peacocks and other animals on the property.

Winery with a super beautiful view and with lots of farm animals! Definitely need to stop here if you are in Goulburn😊

Went to try some wine but came away with an experience. The view from the cellar door starts a lot of I did not expect that. Next a variety of wines that one will suit most people's taste. Our host Bart loves to tell a story and you come away knowing so much more than you went in. Bart is a chef by trade (restaurant coming soon) but also the full time property caretaker. We finished our adventure with a tour of a mini zoo of exotic poultry and birds with a few sheep with lambs for good measure. Definitely an unexpected surprise.

Our plan was to do wine tasting around the area and unexpectedly Kingsdale winery has lots to see, mini zoo with variety of birds, alpaca, cute little ponies, a donkey and many more. SO much fun with parrots as they sing and communicate which is so funny. The owner was kind, surely we'll be back🥂. Wines tastes good too and a cheese platter🧀.

Our favorite wine we’ve found in the highlands. The Semillon and Merlot/Malbecs were great, the staff were kind and knowledgeable, and the resident Kelpie was such a cutie!
Zane G — Google review
A good view, lots of animals to interest the kids including talking birds, nice snack foods like cheese platter, wedges and sweet potato wedges, recommend their sav blanc... would be my new friday or Saturday night dinner spot if they opened that late and did woodfired pizzas
Logan T — Google review
Absolutely fabulous little spot! Beautiful wines, gorgeous views, scrumptious, thoughtful cheese platter, and a genuine, down to earth, friendly host. We will absolutely be back!

I recently had a fantastic lunch experience at the Gordon Hotel. The staff, food, and service were excellent and very attentive. I also enjoyed interacting with a friendly group of local seniors who were passing through Goulburn. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the lunch was perfectly cooked. I highly recommend trying the 200g Rump with chips, slaw, and mushroom sauce. It's definitely worth the short five-minute drive to get there.
I had an absolutely fantastic meal at The Gordon tonight! The steak was cooked to perfection — juicy, tender, and full of flavour with a perfect chargrilled finish. The chips were golden and crisp, and the fresh salad added a nice balance to the plate. The rich, tasty sauce brought everything together beautifully. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the experience really enjoyable. Their great service matched the quality of the meal perfectly. Highly recommend a meal at The Gordon for delicious food and genuinely warm hospitality!

Great local pub, excellent standard pub meals with the best beer-battered chips I've had. Live music every Friday, Saturday and . Great outdoors area, warm in winter; cool in summer.

Had an awesome meal for dinner tonight. If i could give it more then 5 stars i would. Definitely will be eating here again and I encourage everyone to dine in and support the pub.

Very friendly bar staff to check you in. Unfortunately very basic rooms - and cold. Very basic share unisex bathrooms. Kitchen facilities (microwave, kettle, fridge) but very dirty.

I had to leave a review. The food was absolutely amazing. The chef should get a pay rise. Its hard to find food cooked with love. I had bangers n mash, and my wife had peri peri Parma, got a cozy spot next to the fire place. I'll definitely stop off here again on my next travel from Vic. Credit deserved! So come here to have a feed!

The most comfortable bed I've slept in in ages, but no soap for the showers couldn't even get a glass of water, let alone make a coffee in the morning till 10.00. Communal kitchen up stairs for guests but when your travelling through and have to make an emergency stop you don't carry all that.
Shaun L — Google review
Great pub and incredible food however it pains me that dogs are not permitted, not even in the outdoors grassy area. Tattersalls is the go if you'd like to enjoy a beer with your doggo.
Josh W — Google review
A great country pub! Top atmosphere and very good food. Recommend highly

Fast food restaurant
During my recent visit to McDonald's in Goulburn South, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. This classic fast-food chain is a convenient stop for both travelers and locals, with ample parking available—definitely a bonus for those on the go. The spacious kids' play area is well-kept, allowing little ones to expend some energy while parents savor their meals. As expected from McDonald's, the menu features familiar favorites like burgers and fries that are reliably satisfying.
I travel around Australia a fair bit for work and stop in many towns along the journey. Recently my work has taken me to Goulburn and stopping in for a quick feed at the South Mcdonald’s I was not expecting to be leaving a review. Place was extremely busy and the staff seemed to have their hands full but even with everything going on the staff member I spoke with managed to maintain a perfect balance of professionalism whilst also being a very enticing person. I believe her name was Daisy and honestly from her answering all my questions (food related and not) to her making me leave happier than intended I definitely feel she will be perfect for a management position of the sort.

Good sized McDonalds on the Hume, spacious and supported well by the team. Please do ensure when making hot chocolate the powder is mixed well before pouring the liquid, see photos of chocolate powder not mixed well. Rest all is great about this McDonalds.

I only like McDonalds breakfast food, so went there after breakfast & ordered a Coffee Frappé, placed it in my cup holder to have when I got home to Cootamundra - when I get home I find that my cup has a split in it & most of my Frappé has leaked out everywhere in my cup holders. Sent a complaint to McDonalds on their website (‘contact us’) because I expect a replacement on my Frappe, but have not even received any acknowledgement or a reply to my complaint. I will be chasing this up!

I recently visited the McDonald's at Goulburn South and had a delightful experience. The location is convenient, making it an easy stop for travelers and locals alike. There's plenty of parking available, which is a big plus for those arriving by car. The kids' play area is well-maintained and spacious, providing a great place for children to burn off some energy while adults enjoy their meals. As for the food, it’s the standard McDonald’s fare – nothing fancy, but consistently satisfying. Overall, the combination of a great location, ample parking, and a good play area for kids made for an enjoyable visit. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a quick, reliable meal.

Really could try to improve I would give a 0 if I could maybe even -5 Because: 1they got my order wrong 4 times in a row 2the staff really has to improve the were really rude 3one of the staff gave me the evil eye when I told them they forgot my chocolate sauce on my ice cream they said that it was not in my order but I promise it was 4one of them practically yelled at my friend for touching the straws! 5they didn’t put pickles when I asked for them 6 they didn’t salt the chips 7they forgot my chocolate stick on my ice cream when I paid extra for it 81 or 2 of the ordering machines didn’t have receipt paper 9when my friend tried to put something in the bin when one of the staff was cleaning it she told her to wait and put it somewhere else 10the staff gave me the stink eye when I tried to explain the things the missed Only been there once but hopefully I will won’t have to go back Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to

Surprised by unsalted their food is which is very hard to find. Many McDs especially on major roads for distance travelling, food are so sodium-rich that I develop hypertension and stroke out on the spot. However this McDonald held back on salt like a master and felt less condemned for eating fast food. 4 stars for food because McSpicy was Mc-no-Spicy but service was great despite it being packed with people.
Ye S — Google review
Been here couple of times on our drive to Sydney, always busy but wait time isn’t too bad. Food is quite fresh, coffee from the cafe is on the slightly weaker side but acceptable as it’s a Macca’s coffee. Toilets has always been clean & tables wiped down & no rubbish in sight. Had trouble with the machines not printing out a receipt after we paid on our most recent visit on the self serve ordering system but had it sorted quite quickly with one of the servers. So overall no complaints whatsoever & it has a beautiful view of Goulburn at the car park.
