Campo Grande in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Campo Grande, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Campo Grande is a relaxed, green city often used as a base for trips to the Pantanal wetlands, one of the world’s great wildlife regions. Its broad, tree-lined avenues and parks, such as Parque das Nações Indígenas, offer walking paths, lakes and outdoor recreation. The city also showcases the mix of Indigenous, Paraguayan, Japanese and other immigrant cultures in its cuisine, markets and festivals. Museums like the Dom Bosco Cultural Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art provide an overview of the region’s history, art and natural environment.
With favorites like Morada dos Baís, Theater Glauce Rocha, and Temakeria Sushi Bar, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Burger Pub and Temakeria Sushi Bar so you can get the best taste of Campo Grande while you’re here. Parque das Nações Indígenas is a stunning green oasis nestled in the heart of Campo Grande, Brazil. This expansive park, covering over 500 hectares, offers a perfect blend of nature and recreation. With its well-maintained walking trails and serene lake, it's an ideal spot for leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs while enjoying the company of birds and playful capybaras. The park also features inviting snack stands for those looking to refuel during their outdoor adventures.
The best park in Campo Grande, most of the walking/running track has shade, beautiful animations can be seen all over the park.
Cinthia A — Google review
Amazing park! Especially the Capybaras are so cute to see. Perfect for running oder biking, especially on the weekend.
Florian F — Google review
We had a beautiful walk on a quiet Monday morning. This is a safe clean park, well maintained. The restrooms are clean and organized.
Sarah T — Google review
A nice park in an otherwise boring city. Many capybaras around. Mango trees with the fruit just falling off of the trees, very cool. Coconut water stands nearby. There could be more trees planted to provide some shadow on hot days.
Eva M — Google review
Another must go in Campo Grande! You find capybaras in and around the lake, macaws, and other animals with a large green area to enjoy
Jessica S — Google review
So nice! Went there in the evening for a walk and saw sooo many capivaras 🤩🤩🤩. There's also snack stands where you can buy coconut water and filled churros. Worth visiting!

Aquarium
Pantanal Biopark is a remarkable attraction featuring the largest freshwater aquarium globally, showcasing fish species from the Pantanal and around the world. Visitors can explore open-air environments with native animals like caimans and enjoy birdwatching from a viewpoint. The site also houses a biodiversity museum. Despite some unusual ticketing requirements, it's highly recommended for families and offers an educational experience about Pantanal MS. The park is beautifully designed and definitely worth a visit when in Campo Grande.
A great exhibition. A very nice addition to a growing city, offering a free attraction to residents and guests alike. Wonderful architecture and variety of aquatic life. Everything is captioned in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Arrive at least an hour before closing!
Lucas T — Google review
Everything was fine except how to enter. You have to register online and give so much unnecessary information such as DOB, ID, email, etc. Why do they need this information and what do they do with it? Took a long time to enter with our group because of this.
Luis S — Google review
I visited this aquarium in August of 2025, and it is a very interesting and educational place. There was no charge to enter, but we needed to get tickets online because they limit the number of visitors during any hourly period of the day. I highly recommend you see it if you are in Campo Grande, MS.
Daniel C — Google review
Nice place to get some knowladge and see wide life. Unfortunately almost everything is in Portuguese, so for English speaking people it's just something to see not to learn.
Marcin H — Google review
Quite strange to find something like this in such an obscure place as Campo Grande. A taxi driver told me it is as a result of some corrupt dealings within the government which is believable. But it’s a great place and we’ll worth a visit. Loads of animals and really high quality (except for the Jaguar taxidermy 😂 see pictures) I’d you’re in Campo, visit this place.
Gremo — Google review
The place is. Staff is kind. It is beautiful indoors and out, although small the experience is interesting but there aren't a lot of species. The downside is we stayed in line for over an hour under the sun, super hot, standing, no shelter.
Cinthia A — Google review
It's free but make sure you register yourself online. If your desired time slot is booked out, you can try again on the day at 8am and 1pm to book again. Amazing offering to the public.

Temakeria Sushi Bar offers delectable temakis and exceptional service, ensuring each order is customized. However, on one occasion, a roll was mistakenly brought instead of the chosen one due to a language barrier. The sushi is incredibly flavorful and fresh, boasting a wide range of options. The service is remarkable with impeccable presentation for every dish. It comes highly recommended for anyone visiting Campo Grande. This Sushi place excels in quality with polite and friendly waitstaff who provide prompt service.

(Translated by Google) I found the place pleasant, and the waiter, Anderson, served me very well. We chatted for a while; it was a very quiet day when I went. I went intending to order the daily special and ended up accepting his excellent suggestion to buy the steak. I think some things need improvement, such as having two people to serve, because the day I went it was just him doing everything: handling the sandwiches and processing payments. I didn't find it hygienic, even though he was wearing gloves. Otherwise, I have no complaints! Congratulations!

Food is generally good but because their toaster is out of order they put my sandwich in the microwave to warm it up and it was soggy. This location is somewhat more expensive than others I have been to. Came back after 2 years and was very disappointed. Once again they are out of many things and are very skimpy with the ingredients. Asked for black olives and he put 3 on my sandwich, asked for more and he put 2 more. I will not go back to this location.

Casa do Peixe is a renowned restaurant in Campo Grande, known for its dishes featuring the noble fish of the Pantanal. It offers both rodizio and a la carte dining options, with rodizio being its specialty. The menu includes a variety of options such as Costela de Pacu, Moqueca de Peixe, Peixe a Camponesa, Salmao Grelhado, Camarao Frito, and even Japanese cuisine like Sushi and Hot Roll.
Casa do Peixe is outstanding. The food and the service is phenomenal. The fish rodizio has so many options of local river fish cooked several ways as well as salmon and shrimp. This is my favorite restaurant in Campo Grande, which says a lot since there a lot of excellent restaurants here.

Farmers' market
Feira Central, also known as "feirona," is a vibrant market located in an old railway line that connected the region to Bauru (SP) and Bolivia. This traditional market offers a variety of goods, from fresh produce to handcrafted souvenirs. The lively atmosphere features live music and colorful alleys where locals and tourists mingle. The food court resembles Southeast Asian markets, offering Japanese noodles, Brazilian meat skewers, and global dishes.

One of the best places to go in Campo Grande when it comes to the local culture and market to get anything (from food to clothing and also electronic stuff). It is one of may favorite places to eat as well in Campo Grande, where the value for the money is great. You have to come here and try all the dishes which are served on all of the restaurants (called barracas over here).

Two words: sobá and espetinho. The first is a type of ramen noodles from Okinawa, Japan. The second, a skewer with bits of broiled beef. Both served in a very informal atmosphere. My favorite spot is Tia Maria. If you haven't been to Feira Central, you haven't been to Campo Grande.

Nestled in the heart of Campo Grande, the Museum of Cultures Don Bosco stands as a testament to Brazil's rich natural history and indigenous heritage. This remarkable institution, part of the Dom Bosco Catholic University complex, showcases an extensive collection that highlights the diverse tribes native to the region, including Bororo, Xavante, Carajá, and Terena.
A nice and wonderful place. It's the best way to know essential information about the indigenous cultures at the Pantanal and Amazonia. You can find also the most representative fauna in a wonderful taxidermy collection.

Well with a visit to see a huge array of indigenous artefacts. The poorly designed or low intensity lighting makes appreciation difficult. The explanations in Portuguese and English are well-informed but densely packed into large paragraphs and with no maps to accompany geographical content. The park outside is delightful with lovely trees. Walk down the interior road outside the museum across the river to see more in quieter parts of the park.

This is the only must-go museum in Campo Grande, the place where you will be able to see all different species of fauna and flora you can find in the State and the Pantanal area. (Translated by Google) Whenever we go to Feira Central we are always unsure about which stall to eat at. I saw some local influencers recommending this one and we decided to try it... and we were surprised by the service and the flavors. As soon as we arrived they asked if we had made a reservation through the Primeira Mesa app (which gives you a 50% discount on the bill). This app is really cool, but we didn't know and the reservations for that day were already sold out. But here's a tip! At the beginning they offered complimentary appetizers of seasoned pastry dough, really cool, with parmesan, herb, garlic, pepper, chocolate and strawberry dough. The good thing is that you can try it and then order the one you like best. There is also complimentary soba for children. We tried the cheese pastry with garlic dough for R$15, very good! We ordered a small vegetable tempura for R$55, a mixed filet mignon skewer for R$65 (serves 2 people) and the side dish has refills, a small soba for R$39, we loved the pasta dough. The service is very good, very attentive and the food is very tasty! I recommend it. Recomendo.

Too expensive for what it is. Ordered the vegan sobá and was a bit disappointed with the lack of flavours. There was too much spring onions, the tofu was quite tasteless, and mushrooms had a different/weird/not so good taste. The broth was very thin but tasted okay. Plus they charge extra for everything including a glass with ice and lemon 😱. Still, I do appreciate that they offer vegan options on their menu. Nice try.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the skewer from the special offer, which costs R$35.00. Before ordering, I asked the attendant how many pieces of meat there were. She told me it had 150g of meat. When it arrived (I didn't take a picture), it contained three small pieces of meat and two large pieces of fat. I never had to complain, but the dish clearly wasn't worth the price, considering it contained so little food and very little meat (which she claimed was sirloin). Unsatisfied, I complained to the attendant and tried to negotiate for at least one more piece of meat, because there clearly wasn't even 100g, much less the promised 150g. She called the owner, who didn't even know it was 150g and told me it was 100g. This showed complete lack of preparation for the "skewer promotion" and constantly told me to switch to the regular skewer, which costs twice the price. In other words, he was just trying to sell. I asked for it back and left without eating, because the owner took the dish and, with an air of sovereignty, seemed to be right. I've been to this place before, and it used to be wonderful, but I don't recommend it anymore, much less the owner's service if you ever need to complain.

(Translated by Google) I ordered the special soba and a meat and cheese pie. The soba: you eat with your eyes!!! It's beautiful to look at!!! The taste leaves a little to be desired, not as tasty as I imagined. I initially thought it was flavorless, so I waited a while for the noodles to absorb the broth's flavor. The noodles were heavy, the broth wasn't the best, and there were two pieces of crab meat and half a dozen small shrimp. I ordered the medium and couldn't eat it all. If you share with someone, you pay a fee... sometimes it's even worth ordering a larger one and sharing it rather than just one. As for the pie... very filling, crisp, and moist... delicious!

Good pizza, good toppings. Come early on weekend nights, or get ready to wait. I just found out about Mesa Sete recipe, with lots of buffalo mozzarella - it's really good. You may also order from the Cantina Romana menu, their neighbor pasta place run by the same management.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Praça Pantaneira. Not quite as popular as Parque das Nações Indígenas, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

City park
Park Ayrton Senna, situated in a wooded region, features soccer fields, a running track, and an arena. Although security concerns may arise due to the lack of proper lighting at night, it is protected by both Guarda Civil Municipal and Policia Militar Estadual. The park's vast area provides ample space for practicing various sports while enjoying fresh air away from pollution.
This is the best park to practice some sports . Huge space , located on an air poluted free space, you will love the sun.

Teatro Dom Bosco is a spacious and comfortable theater located in the city center, making it easily accessible. However, finding free parking nearby can be challenging if you don't arrive well in advance. The theater hosts various performances, including improvisational theater shows where scenes and stories are created on the spot in front of the audience. Despite some observations about congestion at the exit after shows, visitors appreciate the overall experience and enjoy the friendly atmosphere during performances.
