The reserve is beautiful. The process of purchasing tickets and boarding the boat for travel is confusing. Thankfully the tour guide was able to the information in both English and Spanish. Visitors should be prepared for about a 15 minute boat ride through open water which can be windy, wet and cold.

Such a raw, beautiful place. Explored the reserve by bike and spotted condors and so many sea birds. Love the La Mina beach to take an ocean dip and enjoy the afternoon in the last part of the bike route!

Absolute must see when in Paracas and should be on the Peru's must see lists. Beautiful views on every view point. Easily accessible on a day trip by bicycle, scooter or car. Just skip the Lagunillas restaurants, they are mostly tourists traps and you can eat much better food for the same price in Paracas.

La mina is such beautiful beach!! The water is light blue and clean. The water is cold but so worth it! They have a snack shop upstairs and bathrooms. Would definitely recommend this beach to anyone who wants to be around natures beauty and a friendly crowd

Beautiful beach against a huge rock wall that is located 30 kilometers from the Panamericana Sur within the Paracas National Reserve. Crowdy if you go during holidays, otherwise is peaceful and enjoyable. Beautiful azure water. if you don't have your own car you have to hire a tour. I recommend going by car so you can manage your own time and enjoy the trip at your own pace

What an incredible adventure! We weren’t ready to see what was in store for us while we drove through this massive desert. Beautiful beaches, lots of history and majestic scenery.

Part of our tour - a pyramid/ "cathedral" shaped rock in the sea, near the coast. Unusual and beautiful. Views of the yellow sea- cliffs make for good photos too.

Lovely place. Other worldly in appearance in the desert. From the high places you can see both bays. Food in the fishing village is amazing... The sea tour from the Hacienda Hotel was well worth getting up early.

If you haven’t been to the moon yet, this might be very close! Epic sceneries where you could stage your version of mad max 👍 don’t rent a bike cause will eat dust all day long and the hills are steep and the temperature is killing! There are some restaurants in the park and the deliver great food...

La cattedrale itself isn't very stunning in my opinion, but the view of the coastline is quite something. Rent a taxi and tell the driver to bring you to the scenic spots, it's quite cheap and you can move at your own pace. Expect to be done in 2-3 hours.

It may simply be land, water and air, however, the vastness makes you feel insignificant. Interesting place to visit. I would have wanted to spend more time here. Travelled with Peru Hop. Apparently this area plays a significant role in stabilising the ecosystem. The area is also rich in lithium. Well done to the government for protecting it.

Caught by surprise by how beautiful this reserve is! Went by taxi from Huacachina in the afternoon instead of with the tours in the morning and it was a good decision. Less people and beautiful sunset.

Lots of birds and interesting landscapes, worth a visit. We did a bus tour for 25 soles. There's restaurants that serve fresh fish but it's more expensive than the town. The red beach is interesting. Unfortunately you can't get close enough to the flamingos for s decent photo but I suppose it is a nature reserve.

Homemade freshly prepared delicious dishes (the chef and owner showed us the fresh catch of the day!). Best ceviche we’ve had travelling Peru and the owner is running the restaurant by himself so the price is well worth it. Amazing unique experience would totally recommend if you want to escape the touristy spots, enjoy delicious homemade food and support a local business.

A beautiful little spot for dinner in amongst the owner’s art studio. The fish was perfectly cooked and lovingly prepared, and we felt like we were eating at a friends place. If you’re stopping in Paracas you have to eat here, you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing food with huge portions! A bit difficult to find but worth it. There were only three small tables, apparently the larger restaurant got downsized because of the pandemic. Very friendly chef/manager, would recommend coming somewhere here rather than the tourist traps by the beach. The “vegetarian ceviche” was a delicious and hearty salad

Yum! We enjoyed a great lunch here. The vegetarian chaufa was delicious (ask for chilli if you are so inclined, the fresh stuff was awesome) and so was the rice with seafood. The plates are very large, we ate at midday and were full until late! The stand out though was the freshly squeezed passionfruit juice… so good, you’ll definitely want the jug! Humble little restaurant located in a house but the owner certainly knows how to cook.

Loved our meal, the chef gave us an extra large portion. Great carne dish and great ceviche, would go back if we were staying longer and try other dishes. Very fresh food and drinks (we also had pineapple juice). Bring cash though his card machine wasn’t working . Thank you!!!

Highly recommend going to this down to earth, feel at home kind of restaurant. The chef/owner was very sweet along with his daughter who kept us company and entertained. The chef is also an amazing artist and craftsman. The food is very delicious, options that span to not only those who want meat based dishes but also vegetarian and vegan options as well! My Girlfriend saw a necklace he crafted himself and ended up getting it for herself.

It is fun. You have to be in good shape and be able to swim well. But it is good for the kids that likes adventure. I would say it is a bit expensive for just 45 min. Try finding a package to save 10 soles

It looks much better than it is. There are a lot of hidden rules. First of all kids under 13 need a paying adult to enter - and inside the park there are several attractions requiring a minimum of 16 years of age. You also are required to use non-slip socks, which can be purchased at an extra price. The park is especially focused on race tracks - 2 identical tracks next to each other so you and your friend can race each other. But if you’re not into that it’s much smaller than it appears. Finally, some of the large slides were not properly watered so you risk rashes when going down them.

DO NOT COME WITH ANYTHING VALUABLES. STAFF MAY "LOSE" YOUR VALUABLES We were told that we had to take off all jewelery for safety including rings and earrings. We put our $10 rings in our backpack and handed it to the locker attendant. Later that night we discovered that all 3 small pieces of gold looking jewelry were taken, everything else in the pocket, including all the keys, medicine, receipts were still there. We wanted to chalk it up to an accident but the more we thought about it, the more sus it became. If it had been an accident and things fell out, you would expect other things to have fallen, or maybe only 1 or 2 pieces of jewelry. But the fact that all 3 were gone and everything was exactly where it was was very strange. We contacted the owners as we were pretty sure a rogue employee took them but only asked if they found anything that maybe "fell out" to give them an out. They said they'd look but never responded to further messages. The park itself is quite fun. But pretty dangerous as others have pointed out. A lot of the features are pretty high and super difficult to climb, even as someone who boulders and rock climbed quite a bit. The part that is pretty lame is that they charge extra for renting non slip socks. The risk of slipping is extremely high. Honestly the socks should be mandatory and provided to everyone, instead of profiting off a safety item. All in all I got the sense that the owners just don't really care to much about their customers and one day someone will get seriously concussed from falling or getting trapped in the slots between platforms and I'm sure they'll show just as much care and caution for a $10 set of rings.

My wife and I went with our kids since we couldn’t send them on their own. So glad we did! It was much more fun than it looked and we laughed the entire time. It’s possibly the largest and best maintained floating water park I’ve ever seen and who I’m guessing was the owner seemed genuinely passionate about what he created and talked about his recent trips to see other similar parks to get ideas. Definitely worth checking out if you have some time in Paracas.

Good company. Only 40 soles for adults and 20 for kids. Have to pay an additional 12 for adults and 8 for kids for the entrance to the reserve. Picked up at our hotel and walked us over to the entrance. There was a bathroom at the location to go before boarding the boat.

Amazing experience with them. Very responsive on Whatsapp. We were able to reserve through Whatsapp and then pay on the day of the tour. The pier is closeby so you are picked from your hotel in a car and brought to the office (2 min drive), then you walk to the pier. The tour lasted an hour or so and we saw penguins and sealions and lots of birds. The rock formation and the colonies are amazing! Carlos also gave us a small souvenier at the end!! He also checked-in to see how the tour was going. Amazing service and tour worth taking with them!

In this little town there is nothing special but the Waiki pizza bar offers a nice vibe despite cracker crust pizza and sub par burgers. The menu is cute with a cloth print presentation. The house cat isn’t friendly and neither are the staff and owners who happened to enjoy laughing at us for speaking the native tongue. One bright spot outside of atmosphere was that they carry craft beer.

It's a fun place in Paracas, from what we've seen, the most fun so far! Staff is friendly, but not eager to help you with new drinks. Cocktails are good and at a good price!

Cmon, who doesnt like the best pizza spot in town. This joint had the best atmosphere, service, food, and drinks that anyone could want. It is definitely not a cheap place to eat but the time you spend there and the food you eat is well over the few extra dollars you may spend. The different pizzas are incredible and the selection to choose from is different then anywhere else in the world. Expect a line, and expect to spend a few hours enjoying good company and good pizza.

Good food and amazing service. We had takeaway here twice, the second time we were on a strict time limit with a bus to catch to Lima with only 10 minutes free to collect. We ordered via WhatsApp and they had the food ready for us! All three lemonade flavours we very tasty! Many thanks!

We went there cause we wanted a cozy place to sit and enjoy our food. The pizza that we ordered was so plain, crispy and thin like a cracker. The Greek salad that we ordered had no flavour. We left the restaurant disappointed.

The waiter didn't want to response my questions abouth the menu, he only was talking with my husband or any other in the group, the bathroom was a mess; we had to accommodate the table for the group, bring the chairs and everything, the didn't even say hello, and throw a large amount of menus at the tables, i will not recommend the place

Unfair rated… the place has been recommended by our guide. We didn’t wait too long for the dishes to be served. Many locals were there for a late lunch in the afternoon. The food was tasty and the portions big. All dishes were served with vegetables/salad/fries and between 7$ and 10$ (for fish). Just the French fries weren’t good…

I don’t know what the few bad reviews are about. Service was prompt, portions are large, presentation is positively gourmet and the flavour is abundant.

Paracas doesn’t offer a great variety of options in terms of food but this one is a good choice if you are there. They have a daily dish plus different specialties. I really suggest you to try the Ceviche.

Nothing special here, despite Lonely Planet's rec. Fish was very good, service slow and indifferent, price a bit high by Peru standards. The row of Ceviche stands nearby has better food at a better price for a bit of noise.

Overpriced and medium food. We came there only because our guide brought us there. The dishes are super expensive (most of them cost at least 40 sol), and are really not that good. Seems to be they are using the situation where people are hungry after the tour and there are barely other options to eat. The rice with fish was ok, fish soup didn't taste good. Only good thing was the pisco maracuya wich was also overpriced. We paid 90 sol for the couple and didn't finish the food because it wasn't good :(

The place is okay considering the area where it’s located (very touristy, busy and far from the food supplies). I can recommend their fish soup- the portion and amount seafood is generous. Taste is ok, but don’t expect extraordinarily flavour. Service, as in any hectic place, is so-so. Atmosphere is also ok.

This is one of the better options when eating within the national park. The prices were fair and the food was good, how much more can you ask for in the middle of the desert.

Typical spot to enjoy fish and other seafood dishes. Do not expect too much, but the staff is working very hard to serve you good food. The area is also used for fishermen. So the fish is definitely fresh.

The tour guide recommended this spot as a part of the trip and we went with it. It’s buffet style but probably our least favourite food we’ve tried in Peru since it just didn’t taste good. There’s a lot of other options nearby that won’t be expensive like this place.

Unfortunately the worst food we have had in 8 months of travelling Latin America. They have a big vegan menu but I definitely do not recommend. Texture of the meat substitutes was like play dough, chips tasted like they were microwaved, and overall everything just tasted bad. Not cheap either. The service was good, but the atmosphere completely dead.

We were part of the Peru Hop group and in the bus our tour guide asked us if we wanted to have lunch buffet at this place. We signed up to do it and it was just 49 soles per person. When we got to the restaurant, we actually picked a plate for the buffet and soon realized we didn’t like the food included in the buffet, because we really wanted to try the ceviche. So, we told the waitress if it’s possible that we just buy off the menu since we really wanted to try the ceviche. She happily helped us to our seats, took our plates from the buffet (we actually already started to take some food from the buffet table) and gave us the a la carte menu. We had the classic/traditional corvina ceviche(forgot to take a photo) and the panko ceviche(as pictured). Both had the “tiger’s milk” ceviche sauce which was so good. The dishes came with side sweet potatoes and corn. The food rating is 5 because of the ceviche and not the buffet since we didn’t try the buffet. The view from this rooftop restaurant was really nice to see the port and all the boats. Teresa was our server and she was very kind about our confusion with the buffet. If it wasn’t for her, we would’ve gone to another restaurant.

Great spot in paracas for lunch! This was one of the lunch stops on my peru hop tour - lunch was buffet style with some great Peruvian options. Loved the causas! Lovely views of the ocean and town from the balcony.

Good value for the AYCE lunch we had. Many different options and good flavor. Not enough desserts for everyone to have a try, but overall I would dine again. My favorite dish was the seafood fried rice.

We had a lovely sunset tour with this company. The young lady tour host was very pleasant and took many photos for the group.She had lots of knowledge about the area and was always smiling which was so nice .Great way to spend the afternoon seeing many cliff lines and rock sculptures. Recommend you take a jacket and good hat for the windy conditions.

Chantal was our tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the area, and kind. The tour was wonderful; some parts slightly challenging for my wife and me, but we both enjoyed it immensely. The sunset was very romantic.

Great variety of coffee in Paracas area. The bathroom was clean. However, there was a little misunderstanding with the payment in our group. It could have been handled better from their part.

The staff at Arena cafe were absolutely outstanding. My partner and I came here 3 days in a row just because the waitress was so kind. The atmosphere was highly welcoming, the food was great and the waitress even made sure my partner's dietary restrictions (gluten free) were adhered to every step of the way. This was also the first coffee I have had and enjoyed in South America! I had the Nutella cappucino and it was amazing. The waitress was also kind to me after I got food poisoning from another vendor and brought me something small and simple to cater for my needs. I highly recommend this place.

My go-to breakfast spot. Tasty food, comfortable seating/atmosphere, and biggest thing is the friendly staff. Whenever they see me walk in, they just give me a smile and thumbs up and bring me my usual breakfast. Definitely recommend

Both the food and the service need significant improvement. The breakfast options are very basic. I ordered the American breakfast and specifically requested it without ham. What did I receive? Scrambled eggs with ham. I asked the staff to remake it without ham. They returned with the same eggs, just with the ham partially removed. I asked again for a fresh dish. The second time, I was still served eggs with traces of ham left in. Only after asking a fourth time did I finally receive properly made scrambled eggs without ham. I’m genuinely unsure whether this was due to carelessness, ignorance, or a lack of respect for dietary requests—but in any case, it’s unacceptable. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I was happy with the service and food. I had a coffee and cookie one day and breakfast the next day. Excellent healthy breakfast and they open earlier than other restaurants. (I was there with only a few other patrons.)

Please do yourself a favour and do not book a tour with this company! We had a horrible experience and we felt that we were scammed. We were picked-up at the agreed upon time for the Palomino Islands tour, the schedule on their website said that the trip would leave at 10:40AM. When we arrived there was nobody present, when we tried to contact them we were told lies about the schedule and they said the tour would start in a few minutes. We were told to go wait in a cafe. This waiting turned into 2,5 hours. At the docks we were approached multiple times by a different company telling us that we were part of their tour. We thought we were being scammed but after pressuring Emotion Tours they admitted that we were planned to go with a different company. When we showed the booking to their guides and they saw the price we paid they laughed. We were joining their tour while other people joined us who only paid half the price. The boat is also a lot older and less luxurious than you would expect for such a exorbitant price. Their toilets at the docks are one of the dirtiest I have ever seen. The tour was not fun as well, when you get easily seasick don’t join this tour as multiple people were vomiting. The water was also ice cold. The worst came after the tour. When we gave feedback about the whole tour to the company we were first ignored. We asked for a (partial) refund. There was a representative who only started aggressively defending the company and did not offer a single apology once. After multiple emails to management they responded. It was a joke, their whole customer service is laughable. We can only hope some people will be warned by this and book through another touroperator. Reaction to owner: the response of this company further shows their unprofessionalism. Their response to every bad review is that they can not find a booking with that corresponding name and therefore it can’t be true. Instead of trying to improve service they just want to make money. Our booking was under a different name but as you can see in our pictures we definitely went. It is not their boat because, as I said, they sold our booking to a different company. They still offer this tour on their own website. I still have all the confirmation emails so I’m 100% sure it was your company.

Wonderful personalized and accommodating service. We really enjoyed the 2-day tours in Paracas, Ballestas and the reserve beaches, and Huacachina with little ones and local private transportation. Highly recommended.

We booked on this the quad bike tour and had a great time, guide was really nice and was great fun with unreal scenery. Staff at the office were really helpful so decided to book the Ballestas Island tour the next day and it was really good, definitely worth doing! Thank you guys😊

had a very nice dinner in Paracas at this restaurant! staff were attentive and the menu has a wide range of options with very interesting flavour profiles. I had the calamari which I really enjoyed and my boyfriend had the sushi, which unfortunately was not our favourite as the flavour combination was a bit strange. we also received our dishes at very different times, which was a bit disappointing. the desserts looked lovely and I wish I had room after dinner to try one!

We started the evening with two classic Pisco Sours. The food was delicious. I had a Curry duck with rice. My wife had the fried fish with fried rice. We had chocolate cake with Lucuma moose and two cappuccinos for dessert. Jesus was our waiter. He was extremely friendly and was patient enough to help us choose our dinner. He listened to our cravings and suggested our plates.

Mixed feelings… I had the dressed crab starter as a light dinner - at 55 soles it’s very expensive for a starter. The prepared part in sauce was delicious, but they also gave a whole boiled crab, unprepared, and without the proper tools to eat it (claw cracker but no claw fork). So it was pretty impossible to eat, and not that tasty. They also played the entire Justin Bieber album… urgh.

Food selection good and nicely presented. One or two items we didn't find elsewhere. Great atmosphere. Amber lighting and clean furniture and clean menu as opposed to sticky or greasy furniture and menus that you might find elsewhere makes for a pleasing experience. Only issue is very slow with drinks for some reason. Didn't matter, but it's just what you expect that you order drinks and they turn up reasonably soon. I wish them well as they've got it mostly right.

Came here because it was one of the best rated places in the town, I don’t know why it is. We both ordered pasta dishes which were full of water and so the food was just soggy. Only ate it as we were both hungry after a big day. Flavourless and way way overpriced for what it was.

What an amazing place to eat! Nice little family owned restaurant in Paracas! The waitress was really nice and caring about our experience at the restaurant, also the food (we both had soup) was succulent, you can definitely know that the chef knows how to cook! The drinks prepared by the owner of the restaurant were delicious also! Would recommend to anyone who pass by Paracas!

My wife and I had dinner here in September 2025. We both had pasta - she had vegetarian ravioli with a pesto verde and I had the linguine with prawns. Both dishes were very tasty. The service was very attentive and friendly. The prices are fair (for Paracas standards, where everything seems to be much more expensive than anywhere else in the country). The location itself is nothing special, but absolutely fine for a casual dinner/lunch.

I came twice. The first time I had a delicious vegan burger with a matcha latte and coconut milk and the second time I had vegan pancakes with a latte. The service is lovely. Great view from the second floor. Large tables for big groups. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Highly recommend eating here if you’re in Paracas. By far the best pancakes I’ve had in Peru. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating; there wasn’t the option for omelettes on the menu, but at my request the kitchen prepared one for me anyways. The omelette was delicious as well. Only feedback I would add would be to add an omelette to the menu please!

Very friendly, staff was quick with taking and serving our order, the juices were massive and the sandwiches were really well prepared. Also, not unimportant, they serve nice, crispy, fries instead of the normal soggy ones that are common in the rest of South-America and Peru.

This place is SOOO GOOD we had to dine here for lunch then breakfast the next day!! WOW best shake i've EVER had!! Pancakes so light & fluffy with loooads of toppings. Highly reccomend.

We saw the impressive picture during our boat tour to Ballestas Island. There seems no way to reach here by land. The symbol is similar to Nasca lines but the guide said they are not related.

A great boat ride! The Candelabra was outstanding, as were the islands! We got to see penguins and many other bird species! We loved it! It was a highlight of our time in Peru!

Mysterious. Anyone who takes a boat trip to the Islas Ballestas will also pass one of the most mysterious sites on the Peruvian coast: the Candelabro de Paracas. This 180-meter geoglyph on the Paracas Peninsula is only visible from the sea (up to a distance of about 20 km!). The geoglyph, dug 60 cm deep in the salt-solidified sand, may be clearly visible, but the who, when and why remains a mystery. The famous German-Peruvian archaeologist Maria Reiche has done extensive research on the Candelabro and has found pottery that has been dated to 200 BCE and can thus be linked to the Paracas culture. The geoglyph is aligned to the south and therefore connected to the Southern Cross, the constellation that was used by many sailors to navigate. Whoever created the Candelabro, it is a cool and impressive geoglyph!

In order to see it, you go to Paracas and take the ferry. It’s not expensive, but may be a crowd and could be a good hour wait. On the ferry, there will be a guide, presenting native birds and animals - you will see some penguins somewhere far away, on the rocks, too. “ Candelabro” it’s like a giant drawing on the side of a mountain, like 2000 years old. Expect the ferry to be on the water for a good hour and a half. Nice views of the shore.

We went there by a 17 hour tour from Lima. The signs were really strange. I thought it was only sand but actually it was made on the rocks then the sand covered it.

Magnificent! The only way to experience this sight is by boat so you will need to find yourself a boat tour; check with the hotel you’re staying at as they can help you find a tour. Its amazing to see this “monument” and realize how long it’s been here.

It’s a great place of traditional Italian cuisine. From the beginning you feel taste of Italy. We ordered the Pizza Margherita and carpaccio. Nobody expected that we can finish it in 10 minutes. It was the best dinner of our vacation. And not to forget the coffee!

Wow! After exploring Peru for the last two weeks we have noticed there are so many pizza places! Must of them don’t look very good, however Il Covo was delicious authentic pizza! I can confidently say that it is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! Their sauce was great and the crust was that perfect combination of puffy and crispy! The inside is beautifully decorated and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Decent pizzas - service friendly if a little slow. Not the cheapest but then nowhere in Paracas really is.

The terminal is well organized and offers all the services you need for the trip to isla ballesta. There is a small but interesting museum on one side of the terminal with many "alien skulls".

Be aware when taxi stops on the entry of the port Marina Turística official entrence )Alberto representative of Marina Turística de Paracas will try to escort you to the “Only English speacking boat” he charges more than double for the exact trip to the Ballestas island with Spanish and English that costs only 30 soles per person ( he charged 72 soles more than double) he brings a real bad name to Peru touristm and Peru people trying to rip off tourists .

Gateway to paracas national reserve. Inside national Reserve awesome spots to see. The ride will be completely on boat, no access to land as per government law. More than 200 natural water gates, must visit soon, those are getting destroyed by nature and will not last long. Good service and nature at it's best. Near the beach several shops are there to eat and buy souvenir. Ride in boat will be safe and with life jacket.

It's beautiful, but as you walk along the marina you will constantly be hounded by all the restaurant owners to come for their happy hour that lasts all day.

The launching point to your Ballestas Islands Tour The area is clean and has cutout for picture taking and some people selling their wares and food. This is really just the area where you get on and off your boat for the Ballestas Islands tours. There isn't anything else to see here.

Highly recommend this place! I was a bit hesitant with seeing that it only had 4.1 stars, but the place was consistently packed with both tourists and locals so I decided to check it out. It turned out to be SO good! Amazing dishes. Had the Tiradito Sol de Paracas, flavors and quality of fish were incredible. Also saw other people order dishes, one with a ring of clam shells and a middle shell with fire on it, looked so good. As well as others topped with egg. Service was also top notch. Go here!

Good people watching spot on the harbor and the Malecon. And several interesting street performers and living statues were encountered along the way. Unfortunately, the walking dead of the cruise ship streamed in coughing and hacking and sat all through the restaurant, transforming the otherwise peaceful restobar into a geriatrics clinic. Beer was cold, service was slow, but I wasn't in a hurry until I was surrounded by bubonic plaque cruise ship passengers. Fortunately, they left quickly after gulping down their complimentary pisco sour and I resumed Peruvian chill mode. Prices are tourist town high, dogs and cats are walking among the tables, but the place is clean and in good repair. None of the servers I encountered spoke a lick of English and there seemed to be a lot of complicated questions when I was trying to place simple orders. But I eventually received the ceviche mixto, which was very good and seemed fresh. I'd come here again.

The fish was tasty, but what I received did not match the menu description. I was able to add sweet potato after delivery. I didn't bother trying for the seaweed post-delivery. Unluckily, I consumed the one large dose of chilli near the end of the meal. I was the only person at the restaurant, thus easy service!

This is an amazing restaurant the food is fresh, the waitresses are so kind, and they have a great view upstairs. I honestly love this place. The bathroom they need to work on there are dead bugs on the floor and there are a bunch of flies. There is also a hole where bugs are coming out from.

presentation of food good, coffee good. Food pre cooked many hours ago octopus was like chewing an elastic band for the most part. All food was cold. Yucca precooked which was not good. Service slow and too many street vendors allowed access to you whilst eating.

We came here for dinner and were super happy with our choice! We sat outside so we could people watch. The food was very good with great portions. We especially loved the 4 option sampler plate - we were able to try out some of the main dishes all in one plate. And the servers were friendly!

What we liked the most was the food of course, but also the service. Our waitress accommodated a table outside to satisfy our wishes. We had a grilled fish, cooked also outside. I think this is a good experience and attracts people very much. We also had a combination plate of 4 different food. Great taste, great atmosphere outside.

Very nice vegetarian food, pretty sunset on the terrace , and happy hour on very good cocktails! We had such a nice waitress serving us, very fast service and she was very kind! Could really recommend if you are a vegetarian looking for nice food in Paracas!

This place left me very disappointed. Although the drinks are passable, the quality of the food is extremely poor. My dish was supposed to be crispy fried, but they had pre-fried it and then just reheated it in the microwave. As a result, the food lost its crispiness and tasted awful. With this experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I hope the restaurant will improve its service quality and pay more attention to customer satisfaction.

My sisters and I were so excited to come for dinner here since we read all the great reviews. I have to say this was by far the worst dinning experience during our trip in Peru. I still gave it a 2 stars because it wasn’t terrible but definitely the worst in Peru. To start the complimentary bread and butter were amazing! We loved it. Bread creates a lot of crumbs, in a nice restaurant like this it is expected for the servers to come around and clear/ clean the table between courses however this was not the case. We ordered a couple of dishes to share among us, tell me why they brought it out ALL at the same time. The table didn’t even have space for all the dishes, on top of this they placed the dishes on top of all the crumbs which made the table extremely crowded and messy. Secondly, due to them bringing all the dishes at once, the main pasta dish was warm/cold. The food in general was very mid. However we really did not like the crab dish which tasted like cheap imitation crab, after the first bite we asked to send it back. They took the dish back 90% untouched but later on they still charged for that dish on the bill for a dish we didn’t even eat. Thirdly, there was a guest that came in and clearly you could tell that he was probably someone important because the juxtaposition of the service given to him compared to us was like night and day. My sisters and I were honestly so disappointed and had our vibe completely killed from the overall experience. Lastly, they STILL did not clean the table once they brought out dessert. We still had crumbs of the bread from the first course on the table, I had to call over someone to do it. Restaurants like this have that small tool and small dustpan for a reason. Forgot to mention earlier that the tables around us were not cleaned after people left, so essentially at the end of our meal we were surrounded by dirty tables including our own. I have rarely written bad reviews but this one is deserved. Left hungry, annoyed and disappointed.

Excellent food and presentations. The octopus anticuchos were amazing. One of the most tender pieces of pulpo I have ever had. The dishes were very well balanced with flavor and tastes. The unique and different cocktails that have some local ingredients are a must try.

An incredible surprise on our way to Ica! We stumbled upon Restaurante Ballestas, and couldn't have been happier. The food was absolutely amazing. I strongly suggest the Lomo Anticuchero and the Hierba Luisa Pisco sou. And our waiter, Oscar, was the kindest, most attentive waiter we've ever had. A truly perfect experience—we'll be back!

Perhaps THE best restaurant ever. The food was spectacular, tasteful, it's like art of course. They have a wide variety of plates and the service was very attentive. We had 3 plates and so sad we couldn't try any desserts because we were already full. But I would definitely return! Drinks were so good too!! A little bit expensive but worth it!!!

Excellent! Nobody haggling you at the street, just a friendly smile to approach. Their selection of seafood was displayed right in front of the grill. Chose an appetizer and a main fish and it was incredible. Squid came delicately stuffed with tomato and cheese (likely mozzarella). Scallops came topped with a lightly crisped Parmesan type cheese, again excellent. The main fish was perfectly cooked and very fresh. Also, the salad dressing on the small salad was something special too. Pisco sour was their best, Chilcano was decent, and Mojito was good but maybe a tad sweet. Honestly, an exquisite spot. Did I mention S/ for all of that? Okay, just one drink for 25 but still

Some of the best food in Peru. So fresh and tasty. They have a special menu for 25 soles. Consists of a drink (get the papaya + Pina jugo!!!) Absolutely amazing. Also, appetizer (I got the ceviche) and MUST try the picante mariscos. Incredible. Plus you get the view of the beach, great outdoor seating! Happy hour all day, 2 for 18 soles :)

Lovely food that hit the spot and a great view. There is an a la carte menu and two fixed price menus, 25 soles and 35 soles. The 35 soles menu is very generous so you need an apetite and stomach to match! The food was fresh and freshly prepared and thwre is a complementary appetiser of corn. The restaurant is open fronted and faces out to the beach, harbour and sea. The staff are helpful and friendly, with great English.

The barmaid was very nice but you had to call her over every time you wanted a drink. There is false advertising. It’s not 2 for 1 as indicated, it’s 25 Sol for 2 or 15 Sol for 1. Bathroom has toilet seat and toilet paper.

One and only! This was the only restaurant I was eating in for few days. We went for lunch and then stayed for dinner and more. Dinner with fresh grilled fish together with ceviche starter and pisco for 25 soles were just amazing ! Dont go to other place stay here especially for the dinner :) staf is really nice as well.

Crazy how a place like this survives (even thrives) in Paracas. 1. We had to put pressure on them for them to finally give us a legal invoice. 2. They tried to charge us for ice (!?). 3. Food was supposed to be enough for 2-3 people. Yeah, 2-3 children at best. 4. Very poor service. Worst experience of the year. It’s clearly a tourist trap. They barely pay taxes and overcharge people. SUNAT will be paying them a visit soon.

No one said that it would take 20 minutes to deliver my juice or 55 minutes to deliver the grilled scallops. AND that 5 of the 12 would be ice cold. Sorry, I cannot recommend this place. Only after they charged me the whole amount, I said "and you couldn't even comp the drink?". And they did. After 5 weeks in Peru, this was the worst meal I had and sadly, the most expensive.

The food is awful. The ceviche had fish bones and no flavor. The arroz con mariscos didn’t taste like mariscos and the chicharrón de calamar was just hideous. I would've left all the food if I wasn’t starving.

We ate there and unfortunately, I can only say: stay away. The food was incredibly salty, the fish's skin was only done nicely from one side and the meat was of low quality. The service was quite bad as well. When we wanted to pay, the two waitresses were just sitting outside and not caring about the people inside the restaurant.

Me and my partner went here for dinner and got two very delicious pizzas. Eduardo is an absolute legend and even though we speak two different languages, we had a very fun conversation. I’ve never had such a wonderful experience with restaurant staff. He has definitely made our Peru trip a thousand times better. Cheers ya legend!

This is the one pizza place I never thought I’d fall in love with and I couldn’t be more wrong. It’s been almost 3 years since I was in Peru and I still think about it to this day.

BEST PIZZA! Absolutely delicious and prepared in a big tradiotional pizza oven. Base was not too thick and tasted homemade, toppings were simple not overdone and perfect ratios, not stingy on the ingredients or overboard on the cheese/grease. Menu has English descriptions on it too. Pizzas were between 30-40sol each, which we happily paid for the quality. The chef and waiter were both really lovely, great service. Restaurant overlooks the harbour which makes it a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Would definitely come back.

Easily the best pizza I have had in both Peru and Colombia. Luca is Italian and lives here 8 years now, and you see his passion for the Italian cuisine in the way he and his wife run the restaurant. Amazing toppings and amazing crust, truly a good experience. The restaurant is not the prettiest, but it serves as a place where without too much distraction people can enjoy the Italian masterpieces Luca produces. If you visit Paracas, treat yourself on some true Italian pizza.

Really amazing pizza ran by an Italian. I am vegan and the owners had a firm understanding of what that meant and it really easy to take off cheese and add veg etc. the quality of the dough and ingredients meant that I wasn’t too bothered about having no vegan cheese on the pizza - it was still the best pizza I’ve had in Peru and we went back 2x during our stay in Paracas. The restaurant isn’t very well signposted, so it’s not very clear that they serve amazing proper pizza which is something they should sort out. Also even though I removed the cheese from my pizza the price was still the same as the normal pizzas which I thought was a bit unfair - however we ordered some drinks too (alcoholic drinks (beers) were the cheapest we found in paracas) and so the price was always 90 something soles so we just left a 100 soles note which we would have done whether the price of the vegan pizza was reduced by 5 soles or not so I guess it doesn’t matter. Also great place to watch the sunset!

Great food and location. First meal on our trip in Peru and the bar was set high! Got the ceviche, fish causa and a pisco sour - all fantastic! Fyi, You have to enter through the hotel and they don’t really speak english.

We returned to Chalana in January for the first time since December 2016, and it exceeded my memories! We stayed at the Hotel Paracas from January 10 to 15, 2023 and we ate at Chalana on 4 occasions as a family of 4 - and we would have eaten more if it was open on the Tuesday and Wednesday! The ceviche and tiradito are our favourite dishes, the service is impeccable, the location is beautiful. I cannot recommend it enough and I can’t wait until we return again.

Your access is through Hotel Paracas. Just ask any member of staff and they will gladly direct you. Nice cosy restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. The price reflects its location. The weather was perfect, the ambiance was lovely, the view was superb. The quality and presentation of the food was unremarkable. Glad that we decided to find this place although Google maps brought as past the hotel where we were expected to swim to get to the restaurant 😁 It's good our common sense stepped in.

Chalana is a great little seafood restaurant on the pier at Hotel Paracas. Awesome food, vibes, and it doesn’t get fresher! Only 4 food items on the menu. Ceviche, Scallops, Sashimi, and Causas (potatoe, avocado, mayonnaise, and carrots). Drink menu is beer, wine, and a few cocktails. Very special setting for a perfect meal or afternoon snack.

Note that this restaurant is through Hotel Paracas! The location noted on google was wrong, we walked down the wrong road for a good 20 mins until a taxi driver stopped us and took us to the right place. The restaurant was really good, beautiful and serene. Would definitely recommend.

we were here February and it was 9pm on Sunday. i had the fish and it was tasty so no problem with mine it was yummy. My friend had soup which lacked taste, a dash of chilli sauce would have helped.we were the only people in the restaurant. great pisco sour. over priced food for what you get.

I ordered a vegetable soup that was really carrot puree and a veggie dish that turned out to be octopus stuffed bell pepper. Sounds good, but lacking flavors. Presentation and waitress were nice too. The location is on the second floor and a nice view. I wouldn't eat here again nor recommend it.

Maybe because it was at night and maybe because it was during a colder month, but this restaurant was not enjoyable. Two small 'Fish of the Day' morsels for 75 soles ($25) - without sides. Ceviche for 45 soles that was not fresh, zesty, or flavorful. Any seafood from the hole-in-the-wall place in Lima would be better. This is not a value meal. Especially, for being in a small beach town. Tourists are better off eating in their hostel or hotel for the night. The view isn't grand either and worthless to go post sunset. It may be more lively during the summer months but in low season the ambiance is quiet and desolate. Coming from the gastronomic capital of Lima, one's expectations will be lower, but not this low.

We did a private tour of the nature reserve and a boat cruise of Islas Ballestas with Albert Tours, both were excellent. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, informative and friendly. We arrived in Paracas by bus and went into town for lunch first and then grocery shopping since we stayed in an Airbnb about 10 minutes from town. Both Albert and his son Nelson, were kind and patient with me and my kids. They were honest, and fair. Explained to us how everything works. After our lunch, Albert took us to the local market for groceries. Dropped us off at the Airbnb. We did all our tours with him and every step of the way he sent above and beyond to take care of us. My kids still reminisce about Albert and his son.

We had a great experience with Albert. We were not in Paracas long enough to be able to tour the National Reserve with him but he guided us on the must-see attractions in the park including the Laguna Rosa and an exceptional view of the flamingos within the reserve. He and his team are very friendly and responsive to your needs! I would highly recommend going through this agency when you find yourself in Paracas.
