Pereira in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Pereira, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Pereira sits in the heart of Colombia’s UNESCO-listed Coffee Cultural Landscape, making it an ideal base for visiting coffee farms and learning about traditional production. The city combines a warm climate with lively plazas, restaurants, and nightlife, especially around the Circunvalar area. Nearby hot springs, such as those in Santa Rosa de Cabal, and easy access to lush Andean scenery offer hiking, birdwatching, and relaxation in nature. Its regional airport and central location also make it a convenient gateway to other coffee-region towns like Salento and Filandia.
With favorites like Victoria Mall, Restaurante El Mesón Español, and Ambar Restaurante, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Coco Barril Resto Bar and Restaurante Sumo so you can get the best taste of Pereira while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Parque Arboleda Centro Comercial

Shopping mall
Parque Arboleda Centro Comercial is a bustling shopping destination located in the heart of Pereira. It offers a wide array of brand-name retailers, making it a paradise for shoppers. The mall also features a food court with various dining options and a multiplex movie theater for entertainment.
Very nice mall with lots of stores and shops to choose from.
Jeff L — Google review
A great mall. It has a wide variety of stores to meet most of your shopping needs. It is clean and well kept. The food court has a really good selection of food and a large seating area. I have had excellent service at everywhere I have shopped, but so far my favorite store has been the Ambient Gourmet. The service there has been over the top.
Jerry R — Google review
This mall has a very wide selection of stores. Sometimes it has pop-up stores in all the floors so you also get a good selection of local brands. It’s pet friendly which is amazing, but not all stores are pet friendly. It’s usually crowded so I try to avoid going at the middle and end of the month/start of the new month (lines at the main entrance can get a bit crazy for Crepes and Waffles). Besides that you can find almost anything you might need on a mall
Lilian D — Google review
Great mal! Large parking garage located underneath. Four floors with tons of clothing and shoe stores. Toy store, indoor playground, extensive food court, multiple banks, pharmacies, multi-story department store, bars, and much more. Top floor has a Cinemark movie theater. If you're looking for a mall that has nearly everything in Pereira, Riseralda, check out Parque Arboleda. Highly recommend.
Chantry G — Google review
Nice stores! Parking is sometimes a nightmare but the worst is not finding a parking spot, the worst is finding an available elevator. They are all packed all the time.
LOUIS D — Google review
Crowded, lots of traffic around the mall. But plenty of room for parking inside the mall. Large variety of stores.
David R — Google review
Very nice place for shopping. Getting together with friends.
Toni G — Google review

Parque Olaya Herrera

4.5
(10076)
Park
Olaya Herrera Park is a nature lover's paradise, offering a diverse range of wildlife including birds, howler monkeys, deer, cusumbos, guans and spectacled bears. Recent efforts by the new mayor have improved safety in the park, making it more dog-friendly with added police presence. The park has historical significance tied to President Olaya and offers practical amenities such as access to the megacable or cable car.
It is a park with all the space you need to do your activity. You can find good fields of basketball, microfutbol, volleyball, sand volleyball and big space to run or do activities as Yoga or just go and play with your dog. It is also sure to do anything you want with the protection of the police as the have a mobile office in the park. You have restaurants at the sides and you will be in downtown like in 5 minutes.

Before we couldn't use the dog park because of the drug users, but now the new mayor is cleaning up the park and having police be present. Now our dogs can ENJOY the dog park! There are two entrances, one needs to be repaired. The city needs to make signs (because no one has common sense anymore) to remind people to close the gates when you enter or leave, and to take your trash with you. There is room for the city to add two to three benches for dog parents to sit while their dogs socialize. Last is to fix the dogs exercise toys. It would be nice if they made the dog park bigger!
Mitzi C — Google review
Awesome open place to relax due the high time temperature of the city!
Enrique L — Google review
It's a nice enough city park but there isn't much going on. There aren't even park benches. It's right next to the cable car (teleférico or whatever it's called). There are a few vendors selling cut fruit and bubble gum. Unless you're going to the teleférico, there's nothing here for you.

Shopping
Pereira Plaza Shopping Center is a well-established complex offering a diverse range of retailers, casual dining options, and local services. It also features a luxury hotel on "Via a Cerritos" with an inviting pool and serene lake. The hotel's standout feature is "Octavo by Rausch," a unique rotating restaurant providing diners with stunning 360-degree panoramic views.
It’s a Great shopping mall. The food court has a wide offer of Colombian, Mexican and other international plates
Jair V — Google review
The mall itself is OK but the first time I ate at their food court a week ago I got nasty food poisoning, and I'm still not well ! Was a sancocho de pollo from this place on the photo 'Las delicias de flor', maybe from the salad ? Was definitely this because I didn't eat anything else outside that day and I went straight home afterwards and started feeling unwell. Be careful what and where you eat in Pereira, it's the only city in Colombia I've had food poisoning !!

I like the place, it has fairly good places to go and things to buy but the ambience is far from interesting. Maybe it needs an extreme makeover.
Jorge A — Google review
Nice mall, we go there frequently, food court is very good and all the stores you need, nice place to stop and get a coffee or a bite to eat.
Jeff F — Google review
This Pereira Plaza mall represent in the begginigs of the city the most important mall with all the spaces and options that the people of the city needed. In this moment it is still beautiful but less current for the people that normally goes to the mall's of Victoria Centro Comercial and Parque Arboleda. This mall has still some banks, lots of locals of dressing, shoes locals, a lunch mall and some cafes where you can go and relax in the afternoon. The owners of the mall has done some awesome modifications in the decoration of this place and like this it has given a beautiful place to the people to go and spend some time here. All the entries has easy entry for the wheelchairs and has also good elevators for this kind of customers.

Victoria Mall is a multi-level shopping destination located in El Centro. Despite its location, the mall offers a range of stores, casual dining options, a casino, and kids' play areas. Visitors appreciate the beautifully designed atmosphere and the variety of stores that offer products without being overly expensive. The food court at the top level provides an enjoyable experience with impressive food options. Additionally, there is an old movie theater at the top and a small park outside for relaxation.
lots of shops, plenty of quality places to buy clothes etc, plus a good selection of places to eat with varied food choices.

Victoria Mall is a delightful shopping destination that I fully recommend. The mall itself is beautifully designed, offering a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for shoppers. One of the highlights is the variety of stores available; they provide a good range of products without being overly expensive. This makes for an enjoyable shopping experience where you can find almost anything you need. The food options at Victoria Mall are impressive. The food court boasts a diverse selection, including coffee shops and bars, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a leisurely meal, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. Additionally, the availability of ample parking is a significant plus. It adds to the convenience of the visit, ensuring that starting and ending your trip to the mall is stress-free. Overall, Victoria Mall is a great place to shop, dine, and relax, making it a top choice for anyone in the area.
JOHN P — Google review
Nice small mall considering its location in this beautiful country. The neighborhood is not itself the best, it’s almost outside the downtown area, but still within El Centro. Right outside the main door, there are big letters forming a sign that reads "Pereira" where you may take pics to secure your Facebook bragging rights about actually being in Pereira. But the thing I appreciated the most is its food court at the top level where you can enjoy some fresher air in the hottest days. The little mall restaurants offer a decent variety of flavors for most budgets. Like in most parts of the city, affording some tasty steak is not a problema, and even here, which just about the same costs you’d pay for a Burger King in the old USA. The food then is also healthier, you won't find a MacDonalds, Domino Pizza or KFC here, but if you are the type of client that frequent these type of the junk food restaurants, you are gonna need more more than the average toilet paper they sell outside the restrooms, which is free here, but they sell them in insufficient quantities in a vending machine just outside the restroom area. It's always better to carry around your own paper, and this is a universal advice that applies to almost anywhere in the world you are traveling. Other than its restrooms and location, Victoria mall is not that far away than it’s more exclusive and affluent cousin Arbolela Mall (Centro Comercial Arbolela).
Carlos C — Google review
We entered from the square up a stairs that lead to the ground floor of the mall. There are shops around an open square that has a great place for young kids to play in. As we walked around we notice that the shops promoting some nice cloths, shoes, electronics and one Chinese store that is like a dollar store except that the prices are a bit higher. On the lower level there is a great pet store. The food court has some nice food to offer and the casino is doing a good trade. We went over to the cinema, we were disappointed in that they do not show any films in English. Our visit to the bathrooms was not the best, first the entrance to the woman’s side allows men to see straight into the bathroom area. Even though the bathroom was nicely decorated there was no toilet seats, no toilet paper,, no working hand dryer and no soap, other than that the place was clean.

Plenty of stores, an old movie theater at the top, a food area. It was SUPER crowded and not everyone was wearing a mask. Doesn't have a lot of open spaces but the small park outside is nice.

Plaza Victoria

Shopping mall
Plaza Victoria in Pereira is a visual delight with its diverse architecture blending seamlessly around the area. The Plaza de Bolivar, at the heart of the city since the 18th century, is a must-visit. Inside the Cathedral of Lady of Poverty, you'll be surprised by its unique interior resembling a European mosque. The plaza offers various activities such as dining, shopping, and enjoying panoramic views of the city. It's also family-friendly with options for games and cinema.

The location is old and slighly run down, however, there are some newer things here that make the experience better. The air conditioners were broken, and at peak times, this felt like an oven. On the walls, they have an advertisement for a phone that released in 2019. And it is not like they are selling a used phonne because that advertisement has been posted for about two years in the same location. Overall, I think that the experience here could be much better overall, the saving grace being that there are some nice stores inside.
Nicho P — Google review
The biggest open space downtown, perfect for concerts. Lots of places to visit around this big venue.
Mauricio T — Google review
It's a chilling mall with diverse possibilities to spend your time: Food, drinks, shopping and a wonderful lookout of the downtown of the city. You can even take your children for games and cinema inside.
Roger Q — Google review
The view from the plaza is amazing. I wish I took a picture. It wasn't as full of people, which is nice with COVID19 cases going up again.

Nice place to see a beautiful place of the center of Pereira, seeing the Mall Ciudad Victoria, the Supermarket Exito and the Cultural Center of Lucy Tejada. All of this at your disposition. It is a big place where from time to time they do some cultural activities, they bring some artists to sing, gastronomical stands, handcrafted stands and other interesting thing for all the people of the city. It has its security and plus the security of the supermarket and the mall Ciudad Victoria and the Cultural center Lucy Tejada. It is most of all the things that are at the sides of the Plaza Victoria that gives you a nice place, the plaza is not much of seeing as it is only a place in disposition of who needs it.

Centro Cultural Lucy Tejada, named after the renowned artist, was established in 2005 and is situated in the Ciudad Victoria sector of Pereira. The center houses various institutions such as the Pereira Cultural Institute, radio station Remigio Antonio Canarte, Pereira History Academy headquarters, and Municipal Library. It offers a wide range of cultural activities including music classes for all ages, plastic arts workshops, dance classes, and more.
The door is closed when I was visiting but there is a security guard inside the glass door that you can request for entry to ths museum. The entrance is free and can see many amardillo when I enter the first gallery right after I sign in from the security at the lobby on a book. A cool place to visit about the story of Lucy Tejada I could say.

Coco Barril Resto Bar is located on the second level and offers excellent steaks and other meat dishes. Restaurante Sumo is a popular spot in Pereira, offering a fusion of Asian flavors with a touch of sushi. The Ocean Crispy roll, for example, combines the delicate breaded scallop meat with smoked crab mayonnaise and fresh arugula wrapped in perfect sushi rice. Customers praise the restaurant for its delicious oriental food and great service. Some mention that the place is quiet and elegant, making it an ideal dining spot.

The food was so delicious. It was a great start in Colombia with so many different tastes. The owner is really friendly and interested in his dishes. He traveled to search for new tastes. Four stars due to Latino being overpriced. The food is good, but the location’s not great and the ambience is just okay. We need a little more competition around here to bring prices back to fair market value. I heard a few locals complaining about the prices

Everything we ate here was fantastic! We got lucky and happened to sit down next to the owner. He kindly explained the menu options to us and where the various dishes originated. We got jugos con leche - so good (especially the lemonada con coco). The sopa entrada is fantastic and our entrees were exceptional! I loved it so much that the owner came out with a recipe book and some guisos to try. I truly can't recommend this restaurant enough! Restaurant
Ambar Restaurante offers a high-quality dining experience with modern and chic ambiance. The attentive service and extensive menu make for a pleasant visit, despite some minor issues with the food temperature. The flavorful dishes, particularly the crab wheels appetizer and white fish ceviche, are beautifully presented. While some feel that the restaurant could use a bit of sprucing up in terms of interior decoration and menu options, it still comes highly recommended for its excellent culinary offerings.
I unfortunately was feeling rather ill the night I went to Ambar and only had drinks and appetizers before I had to leave. The experience, from reservation to leaving, was high quality. Ambar is modern and looks more like a chíc, big city establishment than a small-town Colombia restaurant. The service was attentive. The crab wheels appetizer was delicious, rich, and served with bread for dipping. The cocktail "de la casa" was thirst-quenching. I look forward to returning. Based on my small sampling, this place is full of flavor and class.

We came for lunch, nice setting and amazing service, very professional servers and much willing to accommodate. The menu is very extensive and inviting, unfortunately our spring rolls were cold inside (they did not charge us for them, very nice gesture), white fish ceviche is to die for!!! , plates are beautifully presented, My husband’s meat was cooked to perfection as well as my eggplants, although a little too sweet for my taste.
Yesica R — Google review
Really bad food. Such a shame as we loved it four years ago. Nachos with crab were really bad. Not sure it was crab as it seemed closer to porridge. Meat was really chewy and overcooked. Salad was swimming in balsamic. The first three wines we chose from the menu were not available. And the one available was not good. Really disappointed. Hopefully chef will change and quality will come back to what it was.
Philippe S — Google review
It’s a good place, but still needs a lot of work. Overall dishes are well presented but the goofy combination of flavors is a total shame. If you ask around most of the locals will tell you this is the best place around. Wrong. Even though it is a sophisticated place, food quality and service need to improve . We ordered 12 dishes. Most of the seafood comes with an overwhelming sweet fruity sauce (cucayo shrimps, deep fried shrimps and so on) it ruins the balance and feels somehow unpleasant. Side saldas are carelessly prepared and presented, they look like just came out of the supermarket bag. Stay away from those. On the other hand, dishes with crabmeat are very good, tasty and honest. Desserts are decent, try the chocolate ball, is fun.

The soup (crema de maíz) is probably the best I have ever had in Colombia. Food is super yummy with great presentation. Just waited quite a while before we had it... so don’t come here super hungry!

Flavorful dishes and a variety of options with a predominantly meat heavy menu. I prefer it’s sister location, Carmela, since it feels more cozy and quaint, and has a larger selection of vegetarian options. This location can use a bit of a spruce up in regards to the interior decoration, menu holders, wine selection, and service. Overall still recommend for flavorful food and a good culinary experience.

Beautiful park. It was safe People, families, couples and friends all come here and chill. There are yummy street foods too. Everyone is friendly.

Pereira has beautiful plazas with lots of vendors and pigeons. It’s a fun place to see locals selling their wares and get a feel for the friendly city. Plus it’s always fun to see giant horse statues. I wouldn’t say it’s an all day event but If you enjoy people watching and walking it’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon.

It looks much better after the recent renovations. A lot cleaner, more tourist friendly, with a lot less hustle from street vendors. I think security can always improve, I know it would never be perfect, but it can be even more attractive for people to visit. The lack of public facilities makes it harder and more expensive as you have to pay to go to the toilet, and if you are a family it becomes even more pricey. Good choices of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. Paid, public parking available all over and available at a reasonable price. Good public transport connections and very easy to get a taxi as well.

Some cultural and historic mixing into this park, you can see how big could be someone.

In the city centre of seems to a meeting hub. Also multiple activities are held here. It's worth passing by if you have some time to waste. There is normally a large amount piggins hanging around and the favourite spot is on the statue. (Really need cleaning when I saw it) probably best to avoid it night After 9 or so the type of people change . But the is 24 police presence.

Churches & Cathedrals
Our Lady of Poverty Cathedral in Pereira is a significant religious landmark dating back to the late 1800s. The cathedral boasts elaborate wood structures comprising its arches and ceiling, making it a remarkable example of architectural artistry. It stands as the primary house of Catholicism in Pereira and is one of the largest churches in the coffee region. The interior features beautiful wooden construction, while thick brick walls and metal coverings adorn the exterior.
wooden roof is typical for this church. It is lucky to hear the singing! peaceful!
Yu J — Google review
Wow! I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Our Lady of Poverty Cathedral in Pereira, and it was an unforgettable experience. The cathedral's interior is a masterpiece, featuring a unique roof structure crafted from 13,503 pieces of curly cumin wood, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and design. The natural brick construction adds to its charm, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. During our pre-pascua visit on Friday, March 21, 2025, we were fortunate to attend an ongoing service. The open side doors allowed for easy access, and the acoustics inside were exceptional, enhancing the uplifting and clear sermon delivered in Spanish. The cathedral's location on the western side of Plaza de Bolívar makes it a must-see landmark in Pereira. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful cathedral to appreciate its architectural beauty and serene ambiance.

The Pereira Art Museum, also known as Museo de Arte de Pereira, is a striking venue showcasing modern and contemporary art exhibitions. It also offers film screenings and has a cafe for visitors to enjoy. Art lovers will appreciate the museum's four exhibition halls, audiovisual room, and movie theater. The museum features temporary exhibits that are attention-grabbing and provide insight into the message behind the art.
Cute little museum. Affordable and quiet, even on a Sunday when I went. If you like viewing art in peace, this is the place for you. Very nice collection! Only 10,000 pesos ($2.50USD) to enter and support the art community in Pereira.

What a gem in Pereira! They have permanent and temporary exhibitions that are very unique and different. Through the museum you can get a real sense of Colombian artists and the world at large. The welcome was friendly and helpful and it's with excitement that I visited a 2nd time upon being in Pereira.

A very nice space with three floors and a lower level of contemporary art. The cost is 10 peso for entry. The staff member was very helpful to explain the layout and also explain some of the art and about the museum. We really enjoyed visiting.

This is a fairly interesting museum. The exhibits are on three floors: the basement, the first floor, and the third floor. (The second floor is used for offices). As of August 2024 I was charged 7,000 pesos as a national tourist. Foreign tourists are charged more but I'm not sure of the amount (possibly 12,000 pesos). You can see and admire everything in less than an hour. Note that they keep the doors locked, so if it appears to be closed, press the button marked "timbre" and someone will come to open the door for you.

Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas is a part of the Olympic Village in Pereira, Colombia. The village features various sports facilities including the stadium, a velodrome, martial arts coliseum, motocross track, racquetball court, and Olympic-size swimming pools. Football matches are a significant part of Colombian culture and at Estadio Hernán Ramírez Villegas in Pereira, visitors can experience the passion for football firsthand.
We go to almost every Deportivo Pereira home game. A very old stadium that's been a little modernized recently, and even now have so historic photos in the entrance, like most stadium museums. It is what it is, and the atmosphere is always good. Very family friendly too.
Dean E — Google review
What an unforgettable experience! I went on a whim by myself to the Pereira vs Millos game late Nov. 2022 and I was so impressed with the stadium! It is ithink 3 stories high, all seats have back support and the staidum covers most of the seats so if it rains, you are covered mostly. I was very happy with the experience and the friendliness of all the workers if you're lost. I recommend you download the app MundoBoletos to have access to your tickets available on your phone. When you come in, you do have to have your ID out. No bags were checked though I never felt unsafe or sketched. I had a great view of the game and I bought 48k peso seats. Recommend being there on time for the amazing entrance with fireworks and the electrifying energy of the People of Pereira! 1000% recommend!
Erika M — Google review
I went for the final game of the 2021 season as Deportivo Pereira hosted Deportivo Cali. The atmosphere was negatively impacted by the Covid-restrictions. The overall state of the stadium isn’t the best, it still has the track around the pitch and sadly there isn’t much of an infrastructure around. It’s nice that there’s a roof because the rain here can get intense at times. The stadium has a Deportivo Pereira Fanshop, located in the western stands of the stadium. During the day the stadium is closed but the area around is accessible, often frequented by various skaters.

It represents one of the biggest monuments of the city of Pereira and a proud team as it is the Deportivo Pereira that most of the people support. The illumination of the stadium is 10 of 10, the grass of the fields is something incredible and well managed and the architecture finds a good place with the air and space that the people needs when the team plays. It is open also for local games and amateur games of the people of the city and little local championships that shows to the world new talents. It is a good stadium that that has 30.297 places for the people. It has good installation of bathrooms and corridors, and good places for the handicap people with the facilities of good hallways and bridges for theme.

Cerro Canceles

(990)
Cerro Canceles is a stunning public park located in an elevated area on the eastern side of Pereira, offering breathtaking city views. It's a safe and pleasant space to enjoy with family or friends, perfect for sightseeing. The park has received outstanding support from the city, providing various affordable gastronomic options managed by locals. While it offers great views of Pereira and Dosquebradas during the day, it's advisable to use transportation rather than walking there.
Pretty nice view of Pereira. A safe and nice space to share with family, friends or by yourself if you like sightseeing which is what this place is all about. The support the city has given residents of the place is outstanding, you will find different gastronomical options at low cost and all attended by people of the neighborhood. A nice place to spend some time.
William S — Google review
Cerro Canceles is a beautiful overlook with a few benches and a decent amount of open area to enjoy the view of the surrounding city. You have a great view of the bridge and the airport. We came on a Wednesday and had no issues with parking or crowds, but parking is limited, so it will likely fill up on the weekend. There are some small shops and vendors - almost all closed during the week, but probably plenty of options during the weekend. Definitely worth checking out. Come enjoy the view!
Chantry G — Google review
Well the view is great! We chose to walk up from the bottom which is challenging due to the occasional lack of sidewalk and overall steepness, but the hike was worth it. Definitely was happy to have a cool breeze at the top. There are some vendors at the top for food and drink, a little display explaining the artifacts that have been found on the site, and a few good photo ops (like the giant Colombian flag that can be seen flying from nearly anywhere in the city.) I stayed up top for maybe thirty minutes just enjoying the view, but it could be a much quicker more much longer visit depending on your vibe and what kind of day you’re having!

SkyLounge Restaurante & Bar is a fantastic spot to enjoy some beverages while taking in the stunning Bogota skyline. While it may not specialize in gourmet cuisine, they offer a range of bar food and appetizers at reasonable prices. We asked if they can make vegan pasta with tomato sauce and they said yes - well it was an absolute disaster - I got twice times the wrong pasta with cheese sauce - and then they gave us plain tomatoes that we didn't order or eat and they still wanted us to pay for them. In the end, according to them, a portion of pasta with tomato sauce that was half the size of spaghetti bolognese should cost more than the Bolo- make it make sense.

Great place to get some drinks and view the Bogota skyline. Not so much oriented toward fine cuisine. I would say bar food or appetizers. But prices were reasonable and view’s spectacular. Restaurant
La Trattoría is a charming Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and a vintage feel. The menu features classic Italian dishes served on the terrace. Guests have praised the friendly and attentive service, with special mentions of servers who were knowledgeable and accommodating. Diners enjoyed a variety of dishes, including pesto linguine with shrimp, Mediterranean salad, bruschette, caprese salad, pasta dishes like arrabbiata with rigatoni and vegetarian pizza.
Amazing service, and good flavours. Only thing they need to improve on is not overcooking the pasta, otherwise 10/10 would recommend.
Hannah K — Google review
This place is heavily overrated. First of all, yes they do have a terrace, but only the 4-5 tables on the upper level are comfortable and secluded. In regards to the food itself, the quality is solid but it’s far away from great Italian food. Most customers won’t care but the wine selection is a disaster and you’re not allowed to bring your own bottle for an additional fee. For a European who‘s used to enjoying good food along a good bottle of wine - especially when we’re talking about Italy - that’s a No Go. In addition, when we tried to make a small modification to one pizza, we were informed that the kitchen is very strict about their recipes and that adding an extra portion of Parmesan was not possible. The customer is King, and this customer won’t attend again.

¡La Trattoria! Cesar, my host to an Airbnb recommended La Trattoria in Bogotá, but l am here in Pereira so l looked for the best restaurants, and BINGO, there’s one here. I took an Uber, the driver said it was a great restaurant, what a disappointment, they advertised carpaccio de salmon ahumado, is no longer in the menú, the waitress suggested: solomo de res, somewhat tasteless, l craved for a pizza, had the imperators, it was insipid, Michelle the waitress was very very pleasant, the wine, was pretty good. Can’t wait to go back to Bogotá and have the sfiziosa. Well, the thought of people not having a single crumb of bread, is worst than having a mediocre dining experience. Ateotl

Restaurante El Mesón Español offers attentive and diligent staff, with a waiter who can communicate in English. The cuisine is delectable, and the ambiance is tranquil and inviting. This establishment accommodates parties of various sizes, as evidenced by the prompt service delivered to a group of seven where even the children were served quickly. The food and service were excellent!!. I gave them 4 in the atmosphere because the music was not Spanish. I was looking forward to music from Spain. Also, someone at a table close by had a big dog that kept barking very loud. That was not enjoyable at all :/

Please read the reviews before going to this place. According to the local stories El Meson Espanol used to be great until a new owner took over a few years ago. The food has been in decline and no longer authentic spanish food. The paella taste more like a fried rice with a lot more oil, salt and chewy meat. Would not recommend. Dont be deceived and save your time and money.

Horrible paella, horrible fideua, horrible calamares a la romana, bad service. Nothing had any flavour whatsoever, by the way I'm spanish so I know what I'm talking about. It is the typical spanish restaurant for tourists...
Alberto M — Google review
Old restaurant that has been in business for way too many years. At one point the best in Pereira, but now the quality of food and the service have gone way down. Paella was cold and staff needs training. Old waiters make you feel like you shouldn't be there. Only thing that has improved is high prices. For a Spanish restaurant as a minimum, have a wine list. Bottom line, save your time and MONIES. Go somewhere else.
Gonz M — Google review
We've not been here in years, simply because it isn't on our usual routes. I asked my wife where she wanted to celebrate her birthday and she said, "The mesón Español." So I dropped by and reserved a table. When we arrived they had the table reserved and decorated. We ordered the fried mozzarella for an appetizer, Solomo Valencia and Paella Marinera for our main course. The attention by the staff is first rate and the food does not disappoint. My solomo was cooked to perfection and my wife's paella was served piping hot. We are very satisfied with her choice. Hopefully it won't be so long before we return.

There's a farm with many kinds of animals and a long trail surrounded by beautiful nature. It's recommended to visit the park early during the day in order to enjoy everything. Also, it is better to go during the week as it's less crowded. Be prepared to have documentation ready for everyone entering the park. It's a requirement to register every person that enters the park!

Wonderful park with beautiful animals, flora, and swimming pools. All about nature 😄

Bit rough around the edges but Awesome value for money! We aren't locals but if you are it's alot cheaper. Nothing is in english. There are lots of pools scattered around the park so you can walk the whole park in togs and swim in random places. You need to pay an extra 2000 pesos for the Rio lento tube river per ride. Loved the bamboo tour, they only open if the weather is good. Loved the farm. Food was tasty and affordable, your typical Colombian meal beans rice chicken fillet coleslaw with soup and a juice for 18000 pesos at the restaurant, all restaurants serve same food except the restaurant by the farm and the consota cafe. They have a little shop there you can buy stuff similar to a gas station. You can rent bikes inside. Lots of different mini sports stadiums and a roller blading rink. I think you can get through everything if you go early. Cafe consota had good coffee and a different menu. We got there at 10am and left at closing 5pm and experienced everything except the indigenous tour which was closed. No tourists there except us, it caters more to the locals. Kids had a blast.

Restaurant
Octavo Restaurante Giratorio is a superb destination that offers an extraordinary and unforgettable journey. The cuisine served is truly delectable, and the scenery provided is enchanting. Not only does this establishment provide exceptional service but also mouthwatering dishes. This place is ideal for those seeking a unique and remarkable dining experience, as it boasts both excellent food and mesmerizing views. The staff here are highly efficient in attending to customers' needs, ensuring satisfaction with their services.
This is some of the best food we have had here in Colombia. The meat cooked to perfection and quality cuts well presented with beautiful sides on the plates. The service is equal to the dishes and worth the trip and the price. The turning venue is hard to appreciate after dark but overall a really good place to eat an excellent meal

We had high expectations given the price, and the ambience. The food did not live up to expectations, though the service and ambience were great. The prime rib was the recommended dish, and it was simply not great. Seasoning was off, and it was way overcooked. As a group, we tried 8 dishes in total. The best was the ceviche, which was excellent, the rest ranged from average to very good. For the price, there are simply better options, and this is definitely not the best restaurant in pereira.

This is a really great restaurant, with great food and service. The added bonus is that it is a revolving restaurant, so you get to eat while looking over Pereira and the beautiful coffee region of Colombia.

$$$$very expensive
Restaurant
Entre Vagones offers a unique dining experience that transports you to the charm of an old train carriage, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu is impressively diverse, featuring delightful dishes like chorizo santarrosano appetizers and a refreshing white Lambrusco Sangria that guests rave about. While the ambiance can be lively—sometimes amplified by nearby conversations—the overall vibe remains friendly and clean.
Great menu. A wide variety of everything. The white Lambrusco Sangria was amazing, and the chorizo santarrosano appetizers were excellent

Beautiful place, good place for pictures. But the meals are very small. I ordered the octopus and it was very small more like a spanish tapa. I left hungry even though the dish was about $65k pesos!

Clean, friendly space, the idea of using old train carts gives the place a cool atmosphere . Will visit from now on
Carlos G — Google review
Food was good, but had some annoying people on the next table laughing loudly, and in such a small space (a train carriage) the sound is amplified. Good concept, but only works with couples, not large groups.
