Parque da Independência, also known as Independence Park, holds historical significance as the site where Brazil declared its independence from Portugal in 1822. The park features well-maintained gardens and topiary displays, along with monuments and museums such as Museu do Ipiranga (Museu Paulista). While the museum is currently closed for renovation, visitors can still enjoy the expansive 40-acre park for picnics, exercise, and leisurely strolls.
This is a very beautiful park also with a museum. You can decide to visit the museum or just take a walk around the park. The water fountain, beautiful landscape, play area and the statues are so wonderful.
It’s a good spot to have a walk date or just to enjoy conversation with your loved ones.

My friend and I spent the first day in São Paulo at the Independence Park, with visit to the Independence Monument and Royal Museum. It was very relaxing!
Nice and big specious park. Not much to do here but nice if you wanna ride around your rollerblades or take a stroll with your dog or a friend. Nice view and some small street food kiosks close by, as well as the museum and the monument
Only viewable up to floor 1 as the rest are under renovation. Place is huge and the paintings inside are great. The grounds are also lovely, do not forget to go behind the building and walk to the museum of Zoology round the corner.
It's free and has some genuinely amazing taxidermy animals on display.

We visited the famous park on Independence Day!!!. The park's beauty and peace filled my heart with thankfulness for the natural world on that day of simple joy. This trip gave me a fresh appreciation for the beauty of our freedom and served as a reminder of the tremendous harmony that exists between Brazillians🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷.
Beautiful and peaceful park. Good for skating and cycling because of the large landscape. Come with a mosquito repellent cos there are lots of insect bites.

The Cathedral of was first started in 1589 in São Paulo Village. It has been demolished and rebuilt several times over the centuries. The current Cathedral was started in 1913 and completed in 1967. It’s an impressive and beautiful landmark, worth visiting for its architecture and history. I recommend going with a local if possible as the surrounding area has a large homeless presence and I was approached by one person. That said, there was a visible police presence with about four police cars right in front of the cathedral which made me feel safer during the visit.
Sé Metropolitan Cathedral is definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone who loves to travel and explore historical landmarks. The front of the church is absolutely beautiful, it’s the kind of architecture that makes you pause and admire, especially if you're into photographing iconic places. It’s a must-visit for tourists and travel enthusiasts alike.
That said, there are a couple of things that could really elevate the experience. The exterior colors have faded over time and the building would benefit from some maintenance to bring back its original charm. Inside, I found the lighting to be quite dim, which took away from the grandeur of the interior space.
Aside from those issues, the rest of the experience is decent. If you’re in São Paulo and have an interest in churches or historical sites, it’s still worth a visit.
The cathedral itself is great, but there are a lot of homeless people around it. You should be mindful of the surroundings. The entrance to thr cathedral is free, which is also great.

The first impression is that it is way too fancy, but after a while you get acquainted with the atmosphere and end up enjoying it. There are a lot of good restaurants available, there is a huge theater, a supermarket, and a bunch of big chain stores.
Great structure for a family afternoon visit. Has good restaurant options for quick meal or full meals. The movie theater has a XD room and a several movie options. The kids can spend some time at the playroom at the entrance, where always have a diferrent atraction based on the month. Has more expensive shopping options and some basic too.

I ordered the Pappardelle Alla Amatriciana whilst my fiancée had the Lasagne Bolognese, which I also tried.
The Pappardelle Alla Amatriciana bore no semblance to any Amatriciana I’ve had before. It was totally absent of flavour, and certainly didn’t have any “bite” from the alleged, but most certainly absent Chilli / Pimento. Also, the pasta was not cooked at all, seemingly having been dunked into tepid water for 20 seconds; Accordingly it resembled the texture of a dampened cardboard cereal packet!
I tried the Lasagne, which was equally disappointing.
The staff were completely disinterested in knowing whether or not we liked the meals.
We’d have been better off going to the food court ~50 metres away.

The waiter did not respect my dietary restrictions. I asked 4 times due to the language barrier whether each thing on the menu had gluten before ordering. They then brought each dish that had gluten to me with warning. They also mixed up our order again after we tried to confirm multiple times that we wanted beef but they brought up pork.
Then the beef cuts we had were very chewy, and not very good.
Do not recommend coming here.
Food: well above average. Bulgogi, bibimbap, japchae, banchan were all pretty good.
Ambience: very clean, well kept little restaurant. Typically, korean restaurants cater to korean people and don’t really mind the decor, tidiness, and ambience. This place was much better in this Dept. and when I went there at lunch time on Sunday it was the only place around the vicinity with a long line of people waiting to eat.
Service: the servers were all good. Not particularly a super attentive/friendly staff but they were efficient and quick. The guy taking the money (probably the owner or his/her son) has a long face. I can tell he would rather be laying down on his couch playing video games.
All in all, a very good place that I will revisit when I am in town.

Great and simple place where I ate a full course korean barbecue with many side dishes, had a great iced tea and could stand for hours chatting with friends until the place closed without spending as much as I would on other places. Highly recommend.

It wasn't too salty. The noodles were al dente. The regular size bowl was definitely a lot of food so we should have opted for the mini bowls. The egg yolk was a little overdone than what I'm used to.
Overall, it was a satisfying meal. What's more amazing is that the meal came out to less than $35 for 4 bowls of ramen, 4 sodas, and 2 orders of gyoza. How can you beat that? They only accept cash or pix here, no credit cards.

Excellent food and very good environment likewise you are in Japan. The prices are excellent! The only problem of the restaurant are the giant queue to get into the restaurant, which could be longer than 2h depending on the day and time. Aska is a very famous ramen restaurant, famous for being cheap and tasty, but there is always a long line, it has always been like that. Authentic as you can get here. I grew up with Americanized Japanese food, and also lived in Japan for a period of time and this is some of the best ramen I've had outside of Japan.
The shoyu broth is light, with the perfect amount of umami and richness. The noodles are firm and perfectly elastic. The chashu is very fatty and soft. The egg is steeped in soy sauce for flavor (but was slightly overcooked imo). Prices are amazing (30 reais for a bowl of ramen).
The gyoza skin is so delicate and seems to be made in house. Perfect crisp on the bottom.
The wait was about 1.5 hours on a Sunday. It was worth it and I would do it again. They will definitely see me coming back.
If you want a good ramen at a good price this is the place. Usually you should wait several minutes until get a place.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the southwest side side of town. Start the day off with Golden Square Shopping, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Espaço Verde Chico Mendes. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Gym, small but nice supermarket, Starbucks, pet shop, coffee shops, bookstore, office supply store, fitness supply, exchange, travel agency, the list is endless. It's a safe place for bringing your family, not to mention the great location, with some other convenient businesses around it. That's why this is my go to shopping mall in São Bernardo.

We're here every weekend either for a nice dinner, shopping the essentials, or just to walk around and people watch. It's always clean and has everything you could want. The movie theater is also a frequent stop for us as well as the sushi restaurant on the first floor.
I recommend this shopping mall because there is American brands like zara and some other brands. Also activity for the kids especially sunday. Its also animal friendly mall. There is nearby park to that you can walk in like 2 -3 minutes away. And many bars around the area too. Highly recommended!
