Shopping mall
Shopping
CentralWorld, formerly known as the World Trade Center, is a massive shopping complex located in the heart of Bangkok's Sukhumvit district. It is one of the largest shopping centers in Asia and continues to be a top attraction in Thailand. The mall features eight floors filled with a wide variety of shops offering everything from fashion and technology to beauty products. Visitors can also enjoy dining at numerous national and international restaurants on the upper floor.
CentralWorld – massive and lively shopping hub! 🛍️🌆 CentralWorld is one of Bangkok’s largest and busiest malls. It has an incredible variety of international brands, local shops, restaurants, and cafes, so there’s something for everyone. The mall is modern, clean, and well-organized, but it can get very crowded, especially on weekends or during holidays. The open spaces and impressive atrium make walking around enjoyable, and there are plenty of spots for dining and relaxing. If you love shopping, food, and experiencing the bustling city vibe, CentralWorld is a must-visit. Just be ready for crowds!
Hashem M — Google review
As a tourist, I really enjoyed visiting this mall! It’s a great place to shop for both luxury brands and local Thai labels. The mall is big, clean, and beautifully designed — perfect for walking around and exploring. There are so many restaurants and cafes to choose from, and there’s almost always an event going on. I also love that it’s connected by a walking bridge to nearby areas, which makes it super convenient to get around. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Bangkok!

CentralwOrld is one of the most impressive shopping malls in Bangkok! 🛍️✨ It’s huge, modern, and offers an incredible variety of international brands, restaurants, and cafés – you can truly find everything here. 🍜👗☕ The atmosphere is great – a perfect mix of luxury and relaxation. The food courts and rooftop bars are definite highlights. 🍹 Everything is spotless, well organized, and easy to navigate. A perfect place to shop, dine, and enjoy the Bangkok lifestyle!

Our favorite mall ist the Siam Paragon, followed by the MBK Center. Both are near Centralworld. It's a great area to stay at if you like malls (like we do). Of these three, the Centralworld is the one that excites me the least. Pricing and shopping wise it's somewhere between the more luxury Siam Paragon (with the best food hall) and the cheaper MBK Center. There's nothing wrong with this mall though. A good range of shops, cheaper and more luxurious ones. Nice food court and a good number of really nice restaurants. It's just the one I feel the least connected to, just didn't catch me like the other two. But there's a very very good reason to come here anyways: It's "Katsu Midori". The Sushi Restaurant with the best Sushi outside of Japan. Quality is insanely good. Be sure to make a reservation or be ready to wait up to two hours. But worth it. Still: If you're in the area, it's a pretty fun mall and worth checking out. We always come back too, since Paragon and MBK are so close. So we visit this one as well.
Alex H — Google review
A super huge mall with plenty of shopping 🛍 and F&B. It's also convenient to get here since it's near the BTS station. I came here 3 consecutive days to get food & desserts. Loads of great foid here. The shopping brands are also more down to earth. Not just caters for the rich.
Cher O — Google review
This place is gigantic and has everything you could want, went looking for some designer sunglasses and jeans. Everyone was helpful and I didnt have any issues communicating in English. I had a burger at the shake shack, delicious not too expensive, well run and clean establishment 👍 you could easily spend days shopping here before seeing everything
Faded J — Google review
Great Place for shopping. Almost every brand is here in Bangkok centralwOrld. Too big to roam around. Have a ice skating on top floor with playing area and gaming zone. Prayer rooms are also here. Food centre below the mall and on the level 3 also.
Farhan G — Google review
CentralWorld in Bangkok is a shopper's paradise! This massive mall has everything you could possibly want, from high-end brands to local finds. I was blown away by the variety of stores and the modern architecture. It's easy to spend hours wandering around. Plus, there are tons of restaurants and cafes to keep you fueled up. If you're looking for a one-stop shopping and entertainment destination in Bangkok, CentralWorld is a must-visit!"

Shopping mall
Shopping
The Platinum Fashion Mall is a popular multilevel shopping center located in Bangkok, Thailand. Situated across the Pratunam Market area, it offers a wide range of fashion styles and products, from Thai designer collections to international trends. With over 1,300 shops spread across four floors, this six-story complex is known for its wholesale and retail fashion clothing and accessories. Visitors can also enjoy the food court while exploring the mall's offerings.
Paradise for shopping lovers. The mall is very used and it will take around two days to cover it completely. But the collection is very nice. You will get all the trendy outfits here, but I would not say that the price is very cheap. It is just that you had a good collection at a good price here. It is at a very accessible area and you can just walk around and shop. There are also options to eat so that you don’t get tired in between your shopping. Just remember you can Bargain so be ready to negotiate for your shopkeepers
Pallavi C — Google review
Platinum Fashion Mall is one of the popular shopping spots in Bangkok, especially known for fashion and clothing items. However, I found the overall experience a bit disappointing. First of all, the place is extremely crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. It’s difficult to move around freely, and some areas feel a bit too packed, which can be overwhelming and tiring. While the mall is often advertised as a wholesale market, the prices are actually quite expensive compared to other wholesale areas like Pratunam Market or even some Chatuchak sections. Many shops have a minimum purchase requirement for wholesale prices, but even then, the discount is not very significant. So if you're looking for real wholesale deals or affordable shopping, this might not be the best option. Another thing to mention is the lack of halal food choices. For Muslim visitors, the mall only has two small halal restaurants, which is very limited considering how big the mall is. It would be great if there were more variety and larger halal food options to make it more inclusive for all shoppers. Also, the location isn’t very convenient if you're relying on public transport. It's not directly connected to the BTS Green Line, and you need to walk a considerable distance or transfer to reach it, which can be uncomfortable in Bangkok’s hot weather. Overall, while there are many shops and styles available, the experience was not as convenient or affordable as expected.
Hushang J — Google review
I recently visited Platinum Mall in Bangkok during my trip, and I can truly say it is the ultimate shopping destination in the city. The mall is spread across multiple floors, each filled with countless shops offering an incredible variety of clothing, accessories, souvenirs, and more making it a true paradise for shoppers. What I really appreciated was the convenience of having everything under one roof. From shopping to food courts with plenty of dining options, and even facilities like money exchange counters, it’s designed to make the experience easy and enjoyable for tourists. If you get tired, there are places to sit and relax before continuing your shopping journey. Overall, my visit was absolutely worth it, and I highly recommend Platinum Mall to anyone traveling to Bangkok who wants a one-stop place for shopping, food, and convenience.
Suraj S — Google review
Shopper's paradise! You'll get everything here. Can haggle. Quality is good for the price but varies from shop to shop. Food court serves great food, desserts. Be ready to spent atleast half a day. Right across the road there's krungthong Plaza for plus sized clothing which is less crowded but really good. The Everything 20 store didn't impress me much, though. Kookkaai shop in second floor (Oxford) has gorgeous long dresses in rayon cotton material around 500 THB each Food court is nice with good variety and sufficient cleanliness.
Leotales N — Google review
Platinum Fashion Mall is too much crowded place. Foreigners come here for all types of shopping. Biggest fashion mall or clothing market in bangkok. must need a staller if you have a baby. Too much to walk. Prices can bargain if you want too. Clothing quality is good. Can find out all brands first copy here.
Farhan G — Google review
Great place Mostly nonveg eatries Quality of the clothes here if good for the Price. Buyer 2 half shirts each 450 bhat from here their colour didn't faded even after a 1 year with machine wash. Electronics is cheap and reliable.
Akshendra S — Google review
Bought some men's shirt at level 2. Really good quality and price. This place is very nice to shop for clothings for the past few decades but now with the online thingy, things has slowed down here and many old shops is no longer around. Still it's good place to shop cheap fashionable items, awesome and cheap food court at level 6. Long term bazaar outside the building too and the legendary Superrich money changer is at the corner outside the building just in front of the fourface Buddha.

Massive mall, plenty of clothes choices accessories and prices acceptable with possibility of bargaining, must visit, wholesale market! Outside the mall is full of benches with lots of kinds of food and beverages

Chicken restaurant
Restaurant
Kuang Heng Pratu Nam Chicken Rice is a popular spot in Bangkok known for its delicious Hainanese chicken rice, often considered a rival to another famous chicken eatery in the area. The menu includes fried chicken and rice, fish noodle soup with tom yum flavor, and pork satay. While the service may be challenging due to language barriers, the food is described as cheap, tasty, and filling. Customers recommend trying the Thai tea along with the flavorful chicken rice dishes.
We came to this area for the famous Hainanese chicken rice but that famous place was just too crowded on the weekend so we came to this restaurant nearby. They also have rice, but they offer other food too. We ordered two chicken rice, 10 satay skewers, 5 pork and 5 chicken, and also a green tea latte with grass jelly. The chicken rice is similar to that famous one as the most important thing is the spicy soy sauce that they provide. The pork skewers were better than the chicken ones. The milk tea was so good, too. We had a very satisfying meal here, and the total was just a bit more than 200 baht.
Nora M — Google review
This was our second visit to Kuang Heng Chicken Rice in Pratunam. While the staff aren’t particularly friendly, they’re still decent—and we keep coming back because we genuinely enjoy the food. The steamed buns could’ve been better—they weren’t warm—but everything else hit the spot. One small suggestion: it would be great if they offered the chicken satay in smaller portions, as 10 sticks is a bit much for just two people wanting it as a side dish.
Ferdiantono L — Google review
The food is really good here. Only thing is not pretty here so drop your food safety standards and just trust the process. There is no shop front and the back is open so there was a random cat walking through as it pleases. The odd bug flying around, basic English but you can get through with tourist number signing and pointing to pictures. We ordered the satay, finished and ordered it again because it was so good and wasn't enough. I loved them flat noodles with fish balls
Lai L — Google review
Walked by and was really hungry haha. Ordered the steam and fried chicken. Taste was okay, nothing really stood out. Rice was lacking a chicken rice taste, the steam chicken was tender and fried chicken didn’t have an oily taste which is good. They gave sweet chilli and spicy chilli, which added taste when paired with the rice and chicken. Also ordered bittergourd soup with pork ribs, was really nice and tasty and is good for a rainy day. Price point wasn’t expensive Overall was good!
Jeremiah S — Google review
Not as crowded as the nearby competitor, so to me the atmosphere is more comfortable and better. I feel the service is good, couples young staffs standby, the young lady one was so attentive, humble and friendly to me. I amazed of how many menu option here. Instead of their signature Hainanese chicken rice, you also can find noodles, fish maw, satay and even Hainanese style breakfast meals and snacks. Tastewise, I loved their boiled chicken rice. The rice is tasty and fragrant while the chicken itself is soft and tender. The dipping sauce is superb! Don't forget to order their bitter gourd pork rib soup too, perfect. The soup is fresh and tasty. Obviously cooked for a long time to get the softness of the gourd. Tried their pork satay also, no complaint at all, tender meat, not burnt and well done grilled. The sweetness of the peanut sauce is boosting the taste. Overall, satisfactory. Highly recommended.
Rbw D — Google review
Delicious chicken rice! I tried the mixed version with both fired and cooked chicken. I preferred the fried one as it was flavour, crispy, fresh and the sweet chilli sauce was just divine. Nonetheless the cooked one was equally nice (in my opinion it matched the quality of the Michelin recommended neighbours.) It’s a perfect place for a quick satisfying meal.
Oliwia W — Google review
The staff were nice and the food was very affordable and decent. The hainanese chicken was great with the sauce provided as well as the chicken satay. The drinks were quite refreshing too!
Alexa D — Google review
My food came swiftly and quickly and everything was served within 10 minutes. The coffee was too dark for my liking, the chicken rice was nothing special but the deep fried chicken was good while the white chocolate was mediocre. The Chocolate butter bread with banana was really good, a generous amount of chocolate sauce was given. It was also affordable. They also have many unique spreads you could buy as souvenirs. Overall, good experience, 4 stars.

Thai restaurant
Paste Bangkok, a renowned restaurant in the Thai culinary scene, offers a unique dining experience with its royal and creative Thai cuisine. Led by chef couple Jason Bailey and Bee Satongun, the establishment showcases authentic high-end Thai dining that has earned them a Michelin star. With a focus on original flavors and textures, the menu features innovative dishes based on recipes from 1870-1930.
Paste is hands down one of the most mind-blowing and awe-inspiring restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. From start to finish, every aspect of the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The chef’s ability to craft dishes with such unique, bold flavors that still complement each other perfectly is truly impressive. It’s no wonder the reservation process is a challenge—this restaurant has earned its stellar reputation in the culinary world. I highly recommend trying just about everything on the menu—seriously, you can’t go wrong. From the appetizers to the entrees and even the desserts, each dish is not only a visual masterpiece but also a delight to the taste buds. The quality of the food is matched only by the exceptional customer service, which makes for a truly unforgettable dining experience. If you haven’t been to Paste yet, what are you waiting for? We left completely in awe and I honestly can’t recommend this place enough. It’s the kind of place where both the food and the service are so perfectly in sync, it’ll leave you wondering how they manage to pull it off. Definitely worth every baht.

Every now and then we all need to experience something unique like a tasting menu. Paste has a very nice posh atmosphere and the outdoor view at night is really amazing. The service is great. The staff was always very attentive, took the time to explain each dish, answered any of my questions, and was very friendly. The food was great and very satisfying. What I really enjoyed is how every dish is unique, but you can tell how each dish is built on the foundation of traditional Thai cuisine. A very unique and enjoyable experience.
Mario L — Google review
The service stood out the most at Paste. From the very beginning we had the most attentive service from our waiters. I really enjoyed our dining experience. We were offered complementary starters and dessert from the chef which felt very special. We ordered the beef Hang Lay curry and crab omelet. The beef was falling apart to perfection. I enjoyed the crab omelet but I would not order it again. I also love how private our booth was, it felt like we were dining completely alone.
Innika Z — Google review
What a beautiful and stunning restaurant. They even had a little stool for my bag to sit on, which I thought was a cute touch. We had a group of 4 and did the tasting menu with the lobster add-on. Definitely worth the money for the whole experience. It ended up being about $200 USD/person, which isn't cheap for Thailand, but compared to most Michelin experiences you could get in the States, it's considerably affordable, especially when you consider all the food and drink we ended up having. I loved the inventive takes on Thai dishes in small bites and the different textures. Also appreciated that the menu revolved around rice. Everything was delicious to me, personally. I know there were some textures my friend wasn't a fan of, but the flavors still delivered. The drinks were just as great as the food. I had THE BEST mocktail ever here – The Emerald – which has pandan, Asian citron, lime juice, and ginger ale. I loved it so much that I have my bartender husband recreate a close version for me frequently back at home lol!

BEST THAI FOOD!!! If you happen to be in Bangkok, this is a MUST try We love the innovative and creative food prepared by chef Bee Satongun. All dishes are beautiful displayed and delicious.

I can't stop thinking about this dinner. Every dish was exquisite! My favourite was the one with the purple flowers (can't remember name). We all left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. The food was obviously fantastic, but I'd love to point out how amazing, professional and caring the staff are, especially Om - thanks for making this night super special.
Sayalee R — Google review
Although this establishment intimidates the casual diner, I encourage those with the fine taste and generous budgets to enjoy a unique diner at Paste. This restaurant showcases professional table waiting and beautiful presentation. The dishes are unique and you’ll have fun trying the appetizers and cocktails.

Thai restaurant
Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin, situated in the Siam Kempinski Hotel, is a sophisticated Thai restaurant renowned for its use of fresh and homemade ingredients. The kitchen's commitment to crafting everything from scratch, such as fish sauce and prawn crackers, reflects its dedication to quality. Founded by Henrik Yde-Andersen, whose Copenhagen-based restaurant Kiin Kiin has consistently earned a Michelin star, Sra Bua offers an innovative take on modern Thai cuisine.
My partner and I had a wonderful dinner here. We really enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere. The food is fantastic and full of creativity, which brought lots of joyful moments to us. They even guided us to the kitchen back of the house to fully appreciate how their cuisine is made. Thanks for the Peachy service. It was one of the most memorable nights in Bangkok. Highly recommended!
Nien-Heng Y — Google review
The decoration looks great but the food and service quality undermined the whole experience. Too many tables to serve resulting in staff rushing to present the dishes. Felt more like a mass production line rather than a relaxing fine dining experience. Though the food looks interesting as a concept, the sequence and combination of format of the dishes didn’t meet expectations, especially the taste that did not really complement one another. Still I appreciate that they made it an interactive experience with magic tricks and more, but the quality and value for money was underwhelming.

Absolutely amazing! It deserves more than just 1 Michelin-star. Beautiful, tasty, surprising, innovative cuisine. Such great Thai experience! First of all the interior and space, high ceilings, water, beautiful furniture and colours. This is a cozy luxury Thai dining experience. Two chefs, Michelin-starred Chef Henrik Yde-Andersen and Resident Thai Head Chef Berm Chayawee and their team has created menus that makes you leave with a smile on your lips. Their current ”Whispers of the Land” menu focuses on local ingredients from different parts of Thailand. Everything came with a story from the very attentive waiters.

My must-go restaurant every time I am in Bangkok, for excellent food and impeccable service! Particularly enjoyed the beef with house-made curry sauce and fragrant baked jasmine rice. Highly recommend this restaurant to all. Thank you Jimmy for taking such wonderful care of us - your warmth and sincerity make our dining experience a 5* one :)

One of the most memorable meals of our life. A big thank you to the Sra Bua team, the service team and everyone behind the team that contributed to such a wonderful, thoughtful lunch. A big thank you to khun Bas for his care and detailed explanations of each item in English and Thai. Between the tour of the kitchen, and of many of the locally sourced ingredients, we not only loved our food, but were able to appreciate the work and craft of each ingredient and where it came from in Thailand. Being here for almost 20 years, it is rare to be this pleasantly surprised by a meal and one of the rare times I can say, it was more than worth it. We will definitely go back again and it was so nice to see pride and care in each dish as well as appreciation for the talent of the Thai farmers and producers here. Lastly... thai wasabi is a must try.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with The Grand Palace, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The Grand Palace is one of the most impressive and beautifully maintained landmarks in Bangkok. The architecture, intricate details, and vibrant colors make every corner worth exploring. It truly showcases Thailand’s history, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage on a grand scale. The grounds are extensive and very well organized, with clear paths and helpful signage. Despite the number of visitors, the flow feels manageable, and staff are present throughout to guide crowds and enforce dress code requirements. Arriving earlier in the day helps avoid the heat and makes the experience much more comfortable. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is absolutely breathtaking and easily the highlight of the visit. Every structure within the complex is stunning, and the level of detail is remarkable. Photography opportunities are everywhere. It is important to dress appropriately and be prepared for security screening, but once inside, the experience is smooth and enjoyable. The palace feels clean, respectful, and well preserved. Overall, the Grand Palace is a must-visit attraction in Bangkok. It is beautiful, culturally rich, and truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Thailand.

The Grand Palace in Bangkok is truly a stunning place to visit! The complex is full of beautifully decorated, colorful buildings that are impressive in every detail. The entrance ticket costs 500 Thai baht, and although it’s one of the most popular attractions among tourists, the visit is still very pleasant and well organized. You can visit the entire area in about one to one and a half hours, depending on how much time you spend exploring each spot. In some buildings you must enter without shoes, so it’s a good idea to wear something easy to take off. Overall, it’s an absolute must-see — one of Bangkok’s most iconic landmarks and definitely not to be missed! 🌟

Visiting the Grand Palace in Bangkok is an experience that transcends mere tourism; it is a profound journey into the soul of Thai culture, history, and spiritual artistry. From the moment its majestic spires come into view, you know you are approaching something truly extraordinary. The intricate details that adorn every surface, from the gleaming gold leaf to the vibrant, mosaic-laden facades, are simply breathtaking and surpass all imagination. The undisputed highlight, and a sight that will remain etched in my memory forever, is the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). The reverence and serenity within this temple are palpable. To witness the sacred Emerald Buddha, meticulously dressed for the season, is a humbling and deeply spiritual moment, even for visitors. The surrounding galleries featuring the epic Ramakien murals are not just decorations; they are a colossal and captivating storybook, depicting tales of good versus evil with stunning artistry. While the grounds can be crowded, its vastness allows you to find moments of quiet reflection in smaller courtyards. It is essential to dress respectfully, as this is a sacred site, but the effort is a small price to pay for the privilege of entering. Yes, this is one of Bangkok's most famous landmarks, but it completely earns its status. It is more than a collection of buildings; it is the living, breathing symbol of a nation. The sheer scale of craftsmanship and the palpable sense of history in every corner is awe-inspiring. Allocate at least three to four hours to fully appreciate its grandeur. A visit to the Grand Palace isn't just a check on a bucket list; it is an essential, unforgettable, and profoundly moving encounter with the heart of Thailand.

Definitely worth a visit. Get there early to avoid the queue and just ignore anyone outside offering to help. Do remember to cover up, long trousers or full skirt plus shoulders covered. Also try the queen's textile museum it's fascinating and would be a visit by itself anywhere else. You need about 3 hours to do it all.

There’s so much to take in here. The architecture is incredible, and the murals are captivating even if you don’t know their full story. Seeing some of the girls dressed in traditional outfits was a nice touch too. You could easily spend a couple of hours exploring the place. Tickets were easy to get on location.

The Grand Palace is maybe the most notable tourist attraction in Bangkok. It represents the culture and identity of the Thai people. We were lucky enough to get there via private tour bus. Getting tickets was a breeze. I just used the ticket machine and paid it with my credit card. The palace complex is massive. Each building provides a glimpse of the Thai monarchial life. The intricacy of the building design and the colors are truly amazing. It definitely shines like gold in a busy urban jungle like Bangkok. Visitors are required to be respectful of the culture and need to dress properly. No revealing clothes for women. Skirts and pants should be below the knee in length and shirts must have sleeves on them. Other than those restrictions, I still believe that the Grand Palace is truly a Thai icon and visitors should pay a visit at least once in their lifetimes.

Grand Palace – Bangkok One of the most magnificent landmarks in Bangkok! 🌟 The Grand Palace is a breathtaking combination of Thai architecture, history, and culture. Every building is richly decorated, and the intricate details of the temples, walls, and statues are truly stunning. The palace grounds are extensive and very well maintained. Highlights include the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), beautifully adorned with gold and colorful mosaics. Entrance fee is 500 THB, and modest clothing is required — shoulders and knees must be covered. They provide sarongs if needed. 🧥 Visiting early in the morning helps avoid crowds and the midday heat. Guided tours or audio guides are highly recommended to fully appreciate the history and stories behind the palace.

Awesome place to go. Must go attractions. Really majestic. They have an entry fees for all. Do not bring Drone or Selfie stick as they check your bags. Bring water and caps as it gets hot and humid. Great views to know the history. They also have a Buddha pagoda inside, you can sit and pray.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a sacred site located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok. It houses the revered Emerald Buddha, which was brought from Laos in the 18th century. The temple is part of a vast compound that includes the former residence of Thai monarchs and spans over 94.5 hectares with more than 100 buildings representing royal history and architectural innovation.
The Temple of the Emerald Buddha, located within the Grand Palace complex, is one of the most beautiful and spiritually rich places in Bangkok. The entrance fee is 500 Baht, which gives access to both the temple and the Grand Palace — a fair price for the experience you get. The architecture is absolutely stunning, with intricate gold work, colorful murals, and traditional Thai design that reflects centuries of craftsmanship and devotion. The Emerald Buddha itself is quite small but deeply revered. Though photography is not allowed inside the hall, the spiritual atmosphere is strong and calming. The surrounding temple buildings and statues are equally impressive and worth exploring in detail. The entire area is clean, organized, and well-preserved. There’s a strict dress code, so make sure to wear long pants and sleeves, or you’ll have to rent clothes before entering. Despite the crowds, the management is efficient, and the visit feels peaceful. Plan to spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours here to take everything in. A must-visit landmark that beautifully blends history, religion, and royal heritage. Don’t leave Bangkok without seeing it!

A wonderful temple complex! Very well maintained, because it is the religious place of the royal family. All the buildings are amazingly decorated, in bright colors, with extraordinary meticulousness. It looks like the palaces from childhood stories. Very crowded, rigorous control at the entrance, with scanners and military personnel. You need about 60-90 minutes to visit it, together with the Royal Palace (this is only the outside)

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most stunning and spiritually significant places to visit in Bangkok. The moment you enter the complex, the level of craftsmanship and detail is breathtaking. The golden structures, intricate mosaics, and beautifully maintained grounds make the entire area feel special and deeply meaningful. The Emerald Buddha itself is much smaller than I expected but still beautiful. The atmosphere inside the temple is quiet, respectful, and serene, giving you a moment to pause and appreciate its cultural and religious importance. Even with many visitors, the environment still feels calm and well managed. The complex is spotless, well organized, and easy to navigate. Staff are present to guide guests and ensure the dress code is followed, which helps maintain the dignity of the space. It is worth taking your time here because every corner has something beautiful to see. Overall, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is a must-visit landmark in Bangkok. It is visually stunning, historically rich, and offers a peaceful experience right in the heart of the city. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to appreciate Thailand’s spiritual and artistic heritage.

Visiting the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, or Wat Phra Kaew, within the Grand Palace complex, was the single most profound and memorable experience of my entire trip to Bangkok. To call it a "tourist attraction" feels almost inadequate; this is the spiritual heart of Thailand, and you can feel its sacred energy the moment you step inside the temple grounds. The anticipation builds as you walk through the majestic white walls, and then you see it—enshrined high upon a golden pedestal within the magnificently decorated ordination hall, the Emerald Buddha is a vision of serene and powerful beauty. While its size may be smaller than one might imagine, its presence is immense. The sheer reverence in the air is palpable, with hundreds of visitors sitting in quiet contemplation, united in awe. Learning about the ritual of the three seasonal gold robes, changed by His Majesty the King himself, added a deep layer of cultural significance to what I was witnessing. This isn't a static artifact; it is a living, breathing part of Thai monarchy and faith. The intricate craftsmanship of the gilded garuda and nagas that surround the statue, combined with the dazzling interior murals, creates a setting fit for a national treasure. The entire temple complex, with its gleaming chedis and mythical statues, feels like a celestial city. It is essential to dress modestly out of respect, and I highly recommend going early to fully absorb the atmosphere before the largest crowds arrive. The experience is humbling and transcendent. It’s more than just seeing a famous statue; it’s about connecting with the soul of a nation. The image of the Emerald Buddha, bathed in light, is one I will carry with me forever. This is an absolute, non-negotiable must-see for any visitor to Bangkok.

One of the most impressive temples in Thailand and an absolute must-see in Bangkok. The architecture, detail, and atmosphere are breathtaking. It can get very crowded, so it’s best to visit early in the morning. Despite the crowds, the experience is unforgettable and truly showcases the beauty of Thai culture and craftsmanship.

A breathtaking temple complex. The whole area has incredible buildings, some are not open to the public but you can still walk around them and enjoy the facades and architecture. Like any other Buddhist temple you need to take your shoes off to visit the Emerald Buddha which is magnificent.

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is one of the most impressive sites in Bangkok. The level of detail in the architecture, the colors, the gold, and the peaceful atmosphere make the whole complex feel almost unreal. The temple is beautifully maintained and full of cultural significance — a place where you genuinely feel the spiritual heart of Thailand. It can get busy, but it’s absolutely worth the visit. Go early, dress appropriately, and take your time to appreciate the beauty and history in every corner. A must-see in Bangkok.

Buddhist temple
Place of worship
Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of Thailand's most revered temples. It houses a 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue and the largest collection of Buddha statues in Thailand. Many statues were brought from ancient capitals like Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. The temple offers a serene atmosphere amidst its maze of temples and statues, providing a peaceful retreat despite the bustling surroundings.
A magnificent temple in Bangkok Thailand, with lots of scenery. It is located just about five minutes walk from the Grand Palace. The Reclining Buddha can be found in one of the Temples. There are food and drink options for those who might need to refuel while experiencing the wonders of Wat Phra Chetuphon... Also, the Thailand Traditional Medical School is available for those of you who would need a relaxing Thai massage. If you decide to visit, please do leave enough time for you to experience all there is at Wat Phra Chetuphon....

Wat Pho completely surprised us! From the outside it looks impressive, but once you step inside, you realise just how big the temple grounds really are. There’s so much to explore — from the beautiful pagodas to the peaceful courtyards. We also learned a lot while walking around. Wat Pho is actually considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, and you can see murals and inscriptions that teach about healing, meditation, and ancient Thai medicine. It’s such an interesting place if you enjoy culture and history. But the absolute highlight for us was the Reclining Buddha. I was honestly in shock when I saw it — it’s HUGE and absolutely stunning up close! The gold, the details on the feet, everything… it’s breathtaking and impossible to capture fully in photos. Definitely one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. Beautiful, educational, and unforgettable. Photos do not do it justice!!
Ashley — Google review
The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples. Wat Pho also spelled Wat Po, is a Buddhist temple complex in the Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is on Rattanakosin Island, directly south of the Grand Palace. Known also as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha,a 46 meters long and covered in gold. Its sheer size and serene expression are truly awe-inspiring, and no photo can quite capture the sense of peace and reverence you feel standing before it. The temple is breathtaking — rich with history, stunning architecture, and incredible detail in every corner. Wat Pho is also home to beautiful stupas, peaceful courtyards, and the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. The temple is considered the earliest centre for public education in Thailand. It houses a school of Thai medicine, and is also known as the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced at the temple. A few helpful tips for fellow travellers: * Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and enjoy a quieter experience. * Dress modestly — shoulders and knees should be covered as a sign of respect. Totally, a must visit place in Bangkok along with Grand Palace.
Mayank M — Google review
This beautiful Buddhist temple complex is worth at least two hours of exploration, as it offers far more than its famous Reclining Buddha statue, with many peaceful and interesting spots to enjoy. It’s best to visit in the early morning when the weather is cooler and the crowds are smaller. The grounds provide free drinking water fountains, free restrooms, and shaded areas where you can relax before continuing your visit. The temple is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, giving you the chance to experience an authentic treatment; a one-hour oil massage is recommended for deep relaxation, and it’s helpful to request a blanket because the air-conditioning can be quite strong. Keep in mind that tickets can only be purchased with cash.

Wow!! Amazing temple!! The most special and beautiful in Bangkok, you have to stop and go inside. The complex is amazing in its beauty. Even if you are in town for a day, you have to come here. It is simply amazing in its beauty and you can't miss it. The reclining Buddha is also amazing. We saw large Buddhas, but this is on a different scale, simply amazing. Breathtaking.

Wat Pho is one of the most iconic temples in Bangkok and absolutely worth visiting. The highlight is the enormous 46-meter Reclining Buddha, which is even more impressive in person than in photos. The atmosphere inside the temple complex is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and full of intricate details that reflect Thai craftsmanship. We visited once during the day and again in the evening. With the lighting at night, the entire complex becomes incredibly stunning. The golden structures glow beautifully and create a magical ambiance. Every traveler coming to Bangkok should make time for Wat Pho. It’s a must-see cultural and spiritual landmark.

Another example of the artistic brilliance of the Thai people Built in the 17th century, this temple is still majestic and well maintained. There is a statue of Buddha lying down with one hand on his head, it is beautiful to see. There are many shops in this temple & They keep the bathrooms very clean. The only problem is that locals are allowed in for free but foreigners are charged 300 baht.300 Thai baht is not a big amount for Europeans because their national currency is powerful. But it's a burden for those coming from countries with weak currencies. Airfare from the country, hotel accommodation and money exchange. Tourists come here by spending money in many ways. The government should provide some concessions to them.

Very beautiful and big temple! Second time here and it amazes me just like the first time. The reclining Buddha was stunning. Wasn’t a line when we went, admission to the temple was affordable, only $300 baht. Cash only if you plan on going! They have clean restrooms. Be ready to take a lot of photos and videos!

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This is Bangkok's most important landmark 🇹🇭. After visiting the Grand Palace, don't miss this temple, which is featured on the Thai 10-baht coin. I was so happy to wear traditional Thai clothing. The interior is beautiful, and the pagoda is huge. Everyone comes here to take photos in traditional Thai clothing. You can rent traditional Thai clothing at many shops behind the temple, with prices ranging from 100 to 500 baht. Admission is free for Thais and about 100 baht for foreigners. Open time from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you've already visited the Grand Palace or Wat Pho, you can take a ferry across the river to this temple.

Wat Arun is absolutely stunning, especially with the sunlight reflecting off the intricate porcelain details. The architecture is unique and incredibly beautiful up close. The atmosphere feels peaceful despite the number of visitors, and the river setting makes it even more special. Climbing part of the central prang gives you lovely views, and the whole complex is very well maintained. Go early in the morning or around sunset for the best experience. A must-see in Bangkok.

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is one of the most iconic and beautiful landmarks in Bangkok, Thailand. It's a Buddhist temple located on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River and is one of the most famous temples in the country. The name "Wat Arun" comes from the Hindu god Aruna, who is the charioteer of the sun god Surya. The temple is said to be especially beautiful at sunrise, symbolizing the new dawn. The temple dates back to the Ayutthaya period (circa 17th century) and was originally constructed during the reign of King Taksin in the late 18th century, after the fall of Ayutthaya. It was later renovated and expanded during the reign of King Rama II and Rama III. #travel #travelingram #travelblog #traveladdict #travelphotography #travelblogger #worldtraveler

Wat Arun was truly impressive! The architecture, the colors, and the whole atmosphere were amazing to experience. I definitely recommend taking a boat to the other side of the river exen the short ride is fun and gives you great views. The highlight for me was the sunset. Watching the sun go down behind the temple and seeing everything glow in warm light felt absolutely magical. It’s an experience you shouldn’t miss when visiting Bangkok!

We only experienced Wat Arun from the boat, but it still made a huge impression. The temple rises beautifully over the river, and the details on the spires are stunning even from a distance. It’s one of those places that instantly catches your eye. If you’re doing a Chao Phraya River cruise, make sure you slow down and really take in the view — it’s unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back and explore it properly!

Fine dining restaurant
Nusara - นุสรา is a new venture by Chef Thitid Ton Tassanakajohn, known for his Michelin-starred restaurant Le Du. This establishment aims to bring Thai cuisine back to its roots with a focus on intricate flavors in a sophisticated yet homey setting. Overlooking Wat Pho, the restaurant offers a twelve-course 'Colorful Thai Cuisine' menu that puts a contemporary twist on traditional dishes.
Our dinner at Nusara was absolutely fantastic. The food was amazing, the space is beautiful and the staff is lovely. The whole dining experience was very well curated, with a first part being guided to different parts of the restaurant (kitchen, a bar area at the top floor), and the rest at the table. The staff guides you through every dish, bringing to the table what was used, with details and origin of the dish. The entire menu is an explosion of flavors, spices, textures. My whole group was very happy. Everything was amazing, from beginning to end. For sure I’ll be back!

I had the chance to dine here January 2025. From the moment you walk in you are taken on an amazing food journey. I would say this restaurant is worthy of 1 or 2 Michelin stars. The view and setting are one of a kind. The food is exciting and creative. The wine list was spectacular. I would happily return and I encourage you to go and experience their hospitality.

The food was wonderful. However, I think too much was given for chance of complain, e.g. the dish with 4 finger food (Peanut relish, … thai green banana chilli relish … fermented fish … sweet dancing shrimp)was of my favor and the ocra and star fruit with the fish was not too good either. The presentation was great. I love seeing all ingredients. Just be a little careful as one came with a small cockroach. It is still 9.5/10!

We had 4 delicious bites before being seated at our table and they were all outstanding so we were getting very excited for our dinner. Sadly the dinner courses were extremely underwhelming and we so wanted to be ‘wow, that was the best thing we ever ate’ but that did not happen. The cocktail pairing we did was really good and the first few desserts were excellent. But sadly the overall food experience was very disappointing.

Excellent modern thai and a great experience. Such attentive and lovely servers with a nice presentation of the food and drinks. We did the cocktail menu which was fun! Absolutely recommended. It definitely should have a star or two compared with other Michelin-starred restaurants. Accomodates for gluten free diet.

A Thai fusion restaurant opposite Wat Pho, nearby Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple. Stunning view especially dinner time. Creative Thai food. Most dishes could be too spicy for foreigners, even for few local Thai. Attentive service. Very nice ambiance.

A lovely journey through Chef Ton’s heartfelt tribute to his beloved grandmother. Housed inside the old town of bangkok with stunning temple view of the iconic wat pho, the walk through roof top to dining table is a perfect set for what’s to come. The course dinner is an excellent take on Thai Cuisine that encapsulates the stories of its history, spicy on the palate but not too over whelming. Interesting introduction to those who never try and once do, you fall in love 😍 Great service and a memorable experience!

Thai restaurant
Supanniga Eating Room, Tha Tien is a charming three-story shophouse located in Thong Lor. Despite its unassuming exterior, the restaurant offers affordable yet excellent food in a chic atmosphere. The owner prepares rare family recipes from Trat, a town on Thailand's eastern seaboard. The extensive menu features hard-to-find old-school dishes that leave diners eager to return for more.
Food are all delicious and authentic. Had a great time dining in. We did walk-in only here and the staffs are super accommodating to us. Ambiance add up to overall experience. Next to the pier going to Wat Arun. Highly recommended👍

Food was average, it’s missing the “wow” factor being a Michelin recognized restaurant. We ordered most of the recommendation but didn’t live up to the hype. The creativity of some of the dishes are worth noting hence the 4 stars. Compliment to the staffs who are very professional and attentive to customers’ needs.
Franz M — Google review
Supanniga serves flavorful, simple Thai food that masterfully exemplifies the "less is more" approach. The dishes showcase a disciplined focus on highlighting proteins and bold, authentic flavors rather than relying on culinary gimmicks. Standouts include the fried rice, reminiscent of bagoong rice, a creamy seabass soup, and a meaty crab omelette. While the drinks and dessert were unfortunately a bit forgettable and could be more distinct, the warm, fast, and topnotch service was impeccable. Food is then 4.5/5. With its perfect ambiance overlooking the temples, it is an essential stop to carve into your Bangkok itinerary for a memorable temple day.
Ray P — Google review
Restaurant was small, but cosy. The first floor dining area basically looks out to the Tha Thein Pier for the ferry service to Wat Arun where the monument can be seen across the river Was probably placed at the most strategic viewing corner for our table of 4. Best views at the 2nd level terrace which was hot and humid. Food was good, ingredients were fresh. But not mind blowingly so. Would I go back? Maybe.

We visited Supanniga Eating Room Tha Tien (ห้องทานข้าวสุพรรณิการ์ ท่าเตียน), a restaurant listed in the Michelin Guide, so we came with high expectations. The food was excellent — authentic Thai flavors, beautifully prepared, and well presented. On taste alone, it definitely deserves recognition. However, the overall dining experience wasn’t as impressive. The staff informed us that walk-ins are not allowed to sit at the upper deck — those seats with the nice river view must be reserved one month in advance. So despite the restaurant having great scenery, we were seated indoors without much ambiance. Service also felt very technical and cold — efficient, but lacking warmth or hospitality. It almost felt like they were going through the motions rather than genuinely welcoming guests. Still, the food quality is strong and worth trying — but if you want the full experience including river views, better book very early.

Absolutely phenomenal experience! We’re visiting Bangkok and this restaurant was highly recommended by local friends, now we completely understand why. We ordered four dishes plus the famous Michelin-starred cabbage, and every single plate exceeded expectations. The flavors were incredible, and that cabbage? It absolutely earned its star. The crab meat bai cha plu and the khao klook ka pi were standouts as well. The atmosphere was welcoming, service was attentive, and the quality of food was exceptional. If you’re in Bangkok, this is a must-visit. We’re already planning to come back before we leave!

Food wasn't the best, it's either too salty or too sweet. We ordered all the recommended dishes, turns out only the beef salad was okay. Staff attitude and services were top notch. As for restaurant's atmosphere, choose indoor level 1 area. The 2nd floor rooftop was so clustered, barely able to let anyone move around plus the heat, don't worth the hype. In summary, an overrated and disappointing experience.
D — Google review
Amazing overall dining experience. My only feedback is the table is a bit small for all the food we ordered lol had to scramble to finish some so they can place more on the table. Loved the food and chill atmosphere with the riverside view. The highlight dishes were the seared pork slices and the Thai tea pana cotta - would come back for these!

Nestled near the iconic Wat Arun and Grand Palace, The Sixth is a charming café managed by a young couple. Their specialty lies in serving authentic and hearty Thai cuisine, with their tom yum goong being a standout dish - boasting tangy, sweet, creamy, and spicy flavors. Although the wait during peak hours can be long due to limited seating, the green curry and shrimp cake come highly recommended.
Tourist-friendly and super affordable! I visited this place based on a friend’s recommendation before heading to the palace and I was pleasantly surprised. The grand palace was delicious, the prices were very reasonable (especially considering how close it is to the palace), and the service was excellent. The venue itself is also very comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommend trying the Tom Yum soup and the papaya salad, both were outstanding! Definitely a great spot for a tasty meal in the area.

She saw me and my sister wearing Thai costume than quite difficult to move so she give us extra desk for our bag. At first I expected nothing just want to escape heavy rain outside but turn out this restaurant is truly hidden gem 💕

Nice spot right by the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, making it the perfect place to rest and refuel. While it's very tourist-friendly, the food is pretty good. We loved the papaya salad, pad Thai, and the jelly omelet with chicken green curry. It might not be the cheapest or most authentic food you'll find in Thailand, but it's a great option for a comfortable, air-conditioned meal after some sightseeing. Just be prepared for a potential wait—the space is small and can get busy. Though we went on a Monday at ~1pm and waited only 20-30min.

A total 5/5 for me. The food was AMAZING that too for such a low price. The servers are warm. You might have to wait In a Que for 10-15 mins especially if you’re bigger group but it totally worth the wait.

The food was really good, it was spicy just like we requested it and it was really affordable. It was comfort food, tasty and the portion size was also good. 10/10 for us.

Had lunch here during a layover in Bangkok. The staff was friendly and they explained what I could not understand from just the menu. I ended up ordering chicken with pineapple and cashew nuts with rice, and a fresh coconut. The service was quick and the food was served in about 5 to 7 mins. The food was great and the coconut was fresh and chilled. I am not sure if it was on the expensive side, but being at a tourist hotspot, the overall experience was good. The total was 230 Baht.

Asiatique The Riverfront is a unique open-air mall and night market located along the Chao Praya River in Bangkok. It offers stunning views of the river, featuring a 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel and a two-story merry-go-round. This former international trade port has been transformed into a shopping and cultural hub, with boutiques, restaurants, and traditional Thai performances like Muay Thai Live and mini-puppetry shows.
Asiatique The Riverfront is a modern, vibrant market in Bangkok that offers a refreshing twist compared to the city’s traditional markets. Instead of chaotic stalls, you’ll find well-organized shops with a wide variety of products, making the whole experience much more relaxed and enjoyable. The area is filled with attractions, including a large Ferris wheel, a kid-friendly haunted house, and the Jurassic World experience, which adds a fun and playful atmosphere for families and visitors of all ages. Along the riverside, you’ll also find boats offering different excursions—an ideal way to see Bangkok from the water. When it comes to food, Asiatique doesn’t disappoint: there’s a great choice of restaurants, mostly serving delicious Thai cuisine. Whether you’re shopping, sightseeing, or just enjoying the river breeze, Asiatique is absolutely worth a visit.

I had one of the most enjoyable times there! The place has many shops, especially local ones. I visited last year and returned this year specifically to shop at a local store with excellent quality. I really enjoyed the additions and changes that made the place feel brand new. The Jurassic Park area is a lot of fun, and I recommend visiting and enjoying the show—though I wouldn’t suggest bringing children unless you explain it’s just a performance. There was also a Snow Festival, which I believe was temporary, making the experience even more amazing. I truly loved that in one place you can shop, enjoy attractions, and taste the most delicious food.

Nice place to chill out. Lots of restaurants and shops to buy souvenirs from. The Jurassic Park entertainment park has also opened recently. Also, most of the Chao Phraya dinner cruises leave from the Asiatic Riverfront. There is a large Ferris wheel also around and nice food stalls. Good place to spend the evening with family.
Girbban P — Google review
Beautiful place with lots of food choices! There are so many restaurants and offers to choose from, and I really enjoyed the outdoor bar vibe right by the riverfront. The cruise line looked way too long good thing I didn’t book it. For shopping, I wouldn’t really recommend it here since the prices seem a bit expensive. Better to shop around Pratunam instead. ✌️✌️ Overall, a great place to relax, eat, and enjoy the river view!
Vanessa S — Google review
This is a modern market with plenty of shops and drinking and eating establishments specifically tailored to tourists. In fact I see most were brought here by their tour group guides. As such the prices are much higher than what you can find in the more traditional ones. Buyers beware I suppose. They did offer the free shuttle boat to/from the Sathorn pier FYI.
DANNY L — Google review
Asiatique The Riverfront is a beautiful open-air night market and lifestyle space located right beside the Chao Phraya River. The atmosphere is vibrant, lively, and perfect for an evening out — whether you’re a couple, family, or group of friends. The riverside walkway, lights, music, and overall ambience make it one of the most scenic places to stroll and enjoy Bangkok nightlife without the chaos. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, cafés, and dessert spots to choose from, along with a good selection of boutique shops, souvenirs, and local crafts. Prices are on the slightly higher side compared to regular Bangkok markets, but the location and vibe justify it. The Ferris wheel adds a fun touch and gives a great view of the river and city lights. Getting here via the ferry is convenient and adds to the experience, especially at sunset. The place is clean, safe, organized, and tourist-friendly. Overall: A must-visit evening spot in Bangkok if you enjoy relaxed walks, good food, river views, and a more premium night market experience. Highly recommend visiting around sunset to enjoy the full vibe.

Asiatique Thailand is a wonderful spot to unwind in the evening. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting — perfect for sitting down with friends or family after a long day. The variety of food choices is impressive, ranging from traditional Thai dishes to international comfort foods, so there’s something for everyone. The seating is comfortable, and the lighting + decor adds to the chill evening vibe. If you’re looking for a place to spend a laid-back evening, enjoy good food, and just chill out — Asiatique Thailand definitely does not disappoint.

Asiatique The Riverfront is a vibrant open-air night market and lifestyle mall along the Chao Phraya River, offering a lively mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment that makes it a favourite stop for both locals and tourists. The atmosphere feels energetic yet relaxing, with river breezes, spacious walkways, and a charming warehouse-style design. Visitors can explore hundreds of stalls selling clothes, souvenirs, handicrafts, and accessories, while enjoying a wide range of food options—including several halal-friendly spots—making it convenient for Muslim travelers. The place is also known for attractions like the Asiatique Sky Ferris wheel and live performances, making it a great location for evening strolls, photography, and casual hangouts. Overall, it’s a fun, scenic, and tourist-friendly destination that feels safe, lively, and enjoyable for all ages.

Shopping mall
Shopping
ICONSIAM is a massive and stylish shopping center located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. It boasts over 500,000 square meters of space and features a wide array of high-end shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. Visitors can explore the seven-story Takashimaya Japanese department store, luxury condominium towers, and an indoor floating market that pays homage to traditional Thai commerce. The mall also houses Thailand's first Apple store and the National Heritage Gallery museum.
A huge mall that's quite new in Bangkok. The design is very calm and it also makes navigating in it very easy. They have a luxury section on the first floor called IconLuxe, where you can find all of the high fashion brands & luxury shops (such as Prada, D&G, Gucci, Balmain, etc.), and on the rest of the upper floors you can find shops of more affordable brands, both local and international (such as Zara, Uniqlo, Urban Revivo and more). They also have several food areas in the mall - a few food courts (on the 1st floor and on the 6th floor), and an entire food market that mimics Bangkok's famous floating markets (called SookSiam) with many stalls that offer mostly local Thai cuisine, just like you can find in night markets and food markets around Thailand. You can also find there a lot of stalls & shops that sell souvenirs, traditional Thai clothing, and much more. I really liked this mall especially because it provides a full experience all in one place, so if you're in Bangkok I'd really recommend not skipping this mall!

Probably the most spectacular mall I’ve ever visited. Stunning view’s from several levels over the river, ESPECIALLY at night. So many beautiful views inside including the amazing water cascading feature, plus of corse wide collection of stunning shops from market street stalls to massive high street brand names. To enjoy the whole place allow at least 3 hours.

Always enjoy a day there for wide variety of food and shopping. Place is spacious which is very plus point. More of high end demographic but foodcourt is still affordable for many. The open air offers such beautiful view of the river. With the largest popmart, multiple level of high quality dining to the huge food court and brands. Cinema is nice too. Highly recommended.

Great location with everything inside department store. We like dancing fountains show at 7pm last night, very beautiful! Now, there's japanese festival so we could find many japanese food, drink, and others. Thai food court at G floor is very nice.

ICONSIAM is one of the most impressive malls I have ever visited. The design is beautiful, the space feels open, and every corner has something interesting. The mix of luxury brands, local Thai shops, and food options makes the experience complete. The indoor floating market is the highlight. The food variety is huge and everything tastes authentic. The staff across the mall are polite and helpful. The views of the Chao Phraya River add a special touch, especially in the evening. Perfect place for shopping, food, photos, and a relaxed day out. A must-visit when in Bangkok. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, Amazing mall but needs stamina to navigate. I did not see any concierge or information desk so best of luck communicating with Thai staff. Breathtaking design for the interiors, numerous choices for shopping and dining. A great place to spend the day in with a view of the river. I went here by BTS sky train via Silom line then rode a boat for 8 baht
Annalyn Z — Google review
Probably one of the best malls that I have visited. The open rooftop bar is not an easy spot, you have to enter the Apple store walk thru and that will give entrance to the open terrance. If you take another floor up you can view from another layer but that floor is not open air. They do fountain show at night not sure if it is hourly but it is near the entrance, do not get too close the water fountains are not that advanced the water will spit down on you. The food court was the best, it has the cleanest street foods you can find in Thailand. Overall it was a good experience. It’a a shame I didn’t have much time to spend in the mall but you can with ease spend couple of hours in the mall. Highly recommend a visit. I took the ferry from the river to avoid the rush hour Bangkok traffic and will recommend the same.

Thipsamai

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
Thipsamai is a renowned restaurant in Bangkok known for its unique and delicious Pad Thai. It is believed to be the first eatery to create this iconic dish before World War II. The restaurant offers instructions on how to enhance the flavors with toppings and spices, adding to the overall dining experience. Visitors can enjoy their meal in creatively designed floating pods, adding an extra element of enjoyment. While there may be some wait times, the flavorful Pad Thai and refreshing orange juice make it worth the visit.
I continue to stand by my defense that Thipsamai serves some of the best pad thai in the country. Their focused menu explores the full spectrum of the dish, from sweet and citrusy to mild and spicy, all perfectly complemented by their signature cold-pressed orange juice. My personal favorites are the Pad Thai Omelette and the mildly spicy Royal Pad Thai with Chicken. This spot truly masters its craft, offering an essential Bangkok culinary experience.
Ray P — Google review
Easily a 4.5/5 rating. The vegetable spring rolls were excellent. Uniquely flavoured and super flavourful. The Pad Thai (wrapped in egg) was delightful and a must try if you’re in Bangkok. The balance of sweet and savoury is near perfect and although I could never imagine describing Pad Thai this way, it was quite creamy. The portion size was also smaller than we’ve been used to. Note: We had the pineapple mango juice and it was great but pricy (they’re famous for their orange juice though). Chilled glasses were a nice touch!
Raeesa N — Google review
Have an Appi-Thai-t! 😋 I’ve been to the original Thipsamai a few times in Bangkok, but this was my first visit to the Icon Siam branch. As expected, it’s still serving up that famous Pad Thai which is rich, flavorful, and easily one of the best you’ll find anywhere. 🇹🇭 That said, I’ve got to admit I prefer the original spot, it’s got that authentic local buzz, the sizzling woks, and the iconic background music that just makes it feel so Bangkok. This one’s a little too polished to have quite the same soul. Still, if you’re shopping at Icon Siam and get hit with a Pad Thai craving, this place will hit the spot just don’t forget to bring your Thai-titude! 😄
Boeing D — Google review
I don’t know why this place is popular to Korean. But worst pad Thai in my life. I rather have the pad Thai in the states ……. Hope they are improve with more good ingredients they use very little ingredients Orange juice was nice but nothing special If you go Thai often this kinda common. I had one bite and stop eating. Don’t go
Yay H — Google review
Thipsamai at Icon Siam brings the iconic street food experience into a beautifully designed, upscale environment. It’s exciting to see this famous pad thai spot finally arrive here! We absolutely loved the Pad Thai Sen Chan with shrimp oil, prawns, and the signature egg wrap—full of umami and super satisfying. The marinated chicken pad thai was just so-so in comparison, but we enjoyed adding some crabmeat, a tasty appetizer, and refreshing coconut water and orange juice to round out the meal. The overall concept of the dining floor is nice, with stylish decor and even waterfalls, creating a unique atmosphere. However, the space is very wide, and the staff weren’t particularly attentive, which made the service feel a bit lacking. Still, worth a visit for the pad thai lovers! 🍤🍜🥥✨
Rina F — Google review
I was recommended by a friend to try this place, as it’s said to be one of the must-try Pad Thai spots. However, it didn’t live up to expectations. The food was a bit cold, and the noodles were a little too chewy. The price wasn’t exactly cheap either. I probably won’t come back.
Chan C — Google review
Really delicious pad thai with lots of toppings available to customize. Prices are on the higher end, but portions are large too. The restaurant and surrounding area are beautiful up on the 6th floor of Iconsiam. The menu had allergy symbols, which was an awesome relief for someone with nut allergies!
Ellie N — Google review
I was never really a fan of Pad Thai, but the Pad Thai at Thipsamai hits differently. It’s pricier than your usual Thai restaurants, but definitely worth it. I’ll be coming back here for sure before my flight!

It was once the best hotel in Thailand for so many years. I hadn’t been back for a long time, and I wasn’t sure if I had missed anything. The hotel has had a facelift, but it seems to have lost its soul. Maybe it’s because I’m from the ’70s, when going to the Mandarin Oriental was reserved for the most special occasions — when every guest was treated like the most important person in the world. The service was impeccable, and even if you visited only once a year, they remembered you. My family used to celebrate my father’s birthday at the Normandie Grill every year until he passed away. I went back this time, but it wasn’t the same. The view is still priceless, but I wish I could say the same for the food and service. The newly renovated Grill Room, with its bare tables and no tablecloths, no longer felt luxurious. Perhaps it’s more sustainable now — less detergent going into the waterways — but the French-fusion menu was bolder than I prefer. The staff was friendly, but not quite the top-notch team it once had. I will always treasure my memories of this place and accept that my time with it has passed. I hope the new generation finds joy in what it has become. For me, though, the legend has lost its charm.

An exceptional fine dining experience in Thailand. We indulged in the Voyage Set Menu — a seven-course culinary journey masterfully curated by Head Chef Anne-Sophie Pic. Each dish was exquisitely crafted, showcasing remarkable balance, creativity, and depth of flavor. The service was impeccable, attentive yet unobtrusive, complementing the sophisticated ambiance perfectly. While the price is on the higher side, the overall experience and the exceptional quality of the cuisine make it truly worthwhile.

We did a full tasting menu, its no longer the Normandie we known and love, the place got changed to a fine dining place its not french, its not charming, it became an everywhere u can find just another fine dinning. Service was ok but its all new team from none MO staff, some staffs you can immediately ask if they arent from MO and u guess it they are from other outside restaurants or 4stars hotels. I would prefer older gentlemen from previous normandie. Food was (im sorry) mediocre, its not french its more japanese than anything else. Its japanese fusion with french cheese pretty much that. It might work in France if you use japanese ingredients they might find it interesting but we did not. Its really japanese fusion with french cheese. The atmosphere has zero vibes of french high end restaurant. They saying they still fine tuned to the local pallets, its not that, just give us french cuisine We truely miss the old Normandie

Definitely one of our favorite fine dining. Our experience was perfect and the food was delicious. We went during the beginning of the spring 2024 menu, which the staff told us will run until around June or July. The monk fish was my personal favorite. They change their menu four times a year. The atmosphere is always good, and it was never busy every time we went. But would recommend you book your table.
Risa S — Google review
Food was great. The sea bass was my favorite. Chef did very well by integrating Asian/Japanese influence. However, the vibe was horrible. There was a large group sitting next to us. They were super loud and had no manner for fine dining. Staff did nothing to tone them down. I also felt sorry for another table sitting next to us. The noise made this place feel like local bar. We eventually had to push the staff for dessert and asked them to wrap the birthday cake so we could just leave as soon as possible. It totally ruined the 350 USD meal experience. Beyond that, no one from the staff team came to apologize us.

Italian restaurant
Family restaurant
Riva Del Fiume Ristorante is a newly opened Italian restaurant located within the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, offering a seasonal menu inspired by contemporary Italian cuisine. The restaurant provides a sophisticated dining experience with its elegant yet breezy ambiance, taking inspiration from the charm of Lake Como.
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had—and I say this as the wife of an Italian and a true pizza lover! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the appetizers were so refined—combining something new and interesting with the classic traditions that define Italian cuisine. The service is absolutely world-class. Even the chef came by to greet us, which made the experience feel truly authentic. We’ve tried similar 5-star hotels with Italian cuisine in Bangkok, but nothing compares to the Four Seasons. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The restaurant is located inside the Four Seasons Hotel. It's an Italian restaurant that pays attention to every detail. Its quality is top-notch, with fresh produce and spectacular flavor. The food was a 10, from the complimentary bread basket to the desserts. Everything we tried was delicious. River views are available if you dine on the terrace or in the indoor dining room; both are beautifully designed. They were very attentive and the service was fantastic. You can see them working in the kitchen, and it's a real treat! 🫶🏼 The price is steep, but it's worth it!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 6-year anniversary, and it turned out to be a great choice. The overall atmosphere was elegant and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. The food was impressive, with well-balanced flavors and quality ingredients. While the pasta was just average, the main course—the Wagyu beef—was absolutely superb, cooked to perfection with rich, indulgent flavors. The price was reasonable for the quality and experience offered, making it a great value. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view of the Chao Phraya River, adding an extra layer of charm to the evening. Highly recommended for those looking for a memorable dining experience with great ambiance and excellent food!

Edwin E — Google review
A chef-recommended set meal priced at 5,600 baht (without service charge or taxes) resulted in nothing but an expensive waste of intelligence, and an extraordinary experience of vomiting and diarrhea. After the appetizer bread (this might be the most delicious thing on the entire menu), came a series of beautifully crafted dishes served from the kitchen. The ingredients were cut extremely thinly, like paper, accompanied by strange sauces of various colors that were neither sweet nor sour. They were placed on empty plates as fresh cold dishes that resembled contemporary paintings: Three small pastries, each composed of layers of mini ingredients and sauces, measuring only the size of a coin, contain raw fish. 2. Cut the raw fish into small pieces, arrange them in a thin layer to form a cute fish shape, and decorate the top with various sauces. 3. Special homemade Italian steamed dumplings. The dough is slightly undercooked, and one thin mushroom, as thin as a bamboo shoot, is placed on top. 4. The dried mushrooms are flattened and placed on a plate. Some sauce is added on top. Only about a quarter of a salmon fillet is placed on the plate, with five shrimp grains on top and a layer of sauce (this is the only cooked food on the entire menu). 5. Making your own ice cream sorbet is not much better in taste than the double-scoop ice cream sold in the mall. 6. Cream dessert, with colorful sauce applied on the top; surrounding it are several scoops of ice cream and cream granules. These dishes not only have an extremely small portion size, but also have a taste that can be described as unpleasant. This kind of thing that doesn't fit into any specific category and can't be classified into different schools, we call "creative cuisine" in China. And these mere six small plates of "masterpieces" took a full hour to be served. Looking at this scene, I felt like I was a fool in the movie "The Menu". I don't understand why the chef chose to use raw fish as the main ingredient and serve it to the guests in a country located in the tropics with frequent reports of water pollution? When the uncooked smell entered my mouth, my body actually had a physiological reaction, sending a warning to me. And I believe that a five-star hotel wouldn't make such a basic mistake as "inadequate freshness of ingredients", and would insist on stuffing uncooked food into my mouth. Before the meal was finished, I felt unwell and went to the bathroom to vomit for over 10 minutes. After returning, I weakly explained my condition to the waiter and refused to take the remaining dishes. The lobby manager immediately came over to apologize, offered a 15% discount on my order, and provided free ginger water to warm my stomach. He also explained that it takes at least 4 hours for the food to start being digested. I was too tired to continue arguing and just pretended to be acting to avoid the bill. I merely expressed my disappointment with the meal here and then paid the bill and left. That night, I began to have a fever and break out in a sweat. The next day, with severe vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal cramps, I directly boarded the plane back home. Eventually, it was diagnosed as acute gastroenteritis. Thank you, Four Seasons Hotel, for giving me such an unforgettable night in Bangkok. I will never forget it.

I tried the Pizza Omakase at Riva del Fiume and it was incredible! 🍕 The dough was excellent – fragrant, light, never chewy – truly the best I’ve had in Bangkok. The Italian chef guided us through each ingredient, all imported directly from Italy, and I could really taste the difference. A unique and authentic experience! 🇮🇹✨

I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a non-alcoholic French Blossom wine on the menu. The pizza Buffala was decent, earning a 5/10, while the truffle ravioli was much better, a solid 7.5/10. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the ravioli dessert, which was a perfect 10/10. The team was absolutely fantastic, also scoring a 10/10, and the ambiance of the place itself matched that excellence with another 10/10.

As one of the most luxurious malls in central Bangkok, Siam Paragon is full of designer brands and has a very modern feel. It's a shame that many of the shops, like those selling home goods, are increasingly focused on Western products instead of offering more Thai or Asian-style items. Downstairs, there is a great supermarket with a food court. There is also a food area outside, but be careful where you buy from. We were charged 360 baht for two small sticky rice, which was quite expensive.
UEM — Google review
The food court has countless options. Exploring it was my favorite activity to do here. Loved every bit of exploring it. Want to go back here again & again. Gourmet market filled with various special items from around the world. Make you feel like you have gone out to world food tour.

Wow, it's awesome you're running the half marathon in 2025! That late-night finish time is wild, I can't even imagine. It's so cool that some places are staying open extra late to support the runners. That's really thoughtful of them to be there for everyone. Hope you have an amazing race!

Siam Paragon is the original premier luxury high end mall in Bangkok before the opening of the newer ICON Siam and One Bangkok. Facing stiff competition, it still remains a popular shopping destination for tourist and locals alike. There's plenty of food options and fashion brands and I find it easier to get to compared to ICON Siam, and there are plenty of other major shopping malls in its proximity if you are done shopping here. The mall is expansive, beautifully designed, and offers unique attractions such as luxury car displays featuring brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini. Additionally, it houses a diverse food hall, an aquarium on the basement level, and a gourmet supermarket. Visitors are unlikely to find themselves bored within this comprehensive shopping complex
Julius T — Google review
This place is the most luxury mall I’ve ever been to and it feels like it just keeps going on forever. You go up one level and think that’s the top just to find there are 3 more levels. Incredible design work! Plus the food court is a huge plus - many many Michelin star restaurants inside!
Christine A — Google review
A large mall in downtown Bangkok, clean and modern. Offering a variety of premium and high-end brands. I like the food court and restaurant area, the food has a lot of choices and is delicious.
David W — Google review
It has all you need. Good for window shopping. Asia books and Kinokuniya are probably the sanctuary in the whole mall. Very noisy especially in the entrance hall and the outdoor stage. Full of tourists and teenagers. Most fashion items are new, rarely on sales and costly. Best to window shop here and buy online. BTS is the best way to commute. Parking space is time-wasting. You’d end up spending 30 mins up, 30 mins down in the parking zone.

Aquarium
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, situated in the Siam Paragon Mall, is a top-notch metropolitan aquarium in Southeast Asia. It boasts 7 themed exhibition areas showcasing hundreds of marine species. Visitors can enjoy informative and fun experiences such as 4-D films and underwater adventures. The presentation of the tanks is impressive, featuring a wide variety of fish including sharks and rays.
Today I visited SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, and it was truly an amazing experience. The aquarium is huge, with a wide variety of marine life beautifully displayed in well-designed tanks and interactive zones. I especially enjoyed the tunnel walk, where sharks, rays, and colorful fish swam gracefully all around me—it felt like stepping into the ocean itself. The exhibits are very educational and engaging, with information provided in a simple and interesting way, perfect for both kids and adults. I also liked the jellyfish section, which was stunning with its glowing lights. The penguin zone was another highlight, full of energy and fun to watch. The place was well-organized, clean, and easy to navigate. Staff were friendly and helpful, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. It’s definitely a must-visit attraction in Bangkok if you love marine life or just want to spend a few relaxing hours surrounded by the wonders of the sea.

SEA LIFE Bangkok is such a great way to spend time with the family, especially during the rainy season when outdoor plans get canceled. We booked our tickets in advance through Klook (also available on other platforms) which made entry smooth and hassle-free. Inside, the experience was amazing—so many fascinating sea creatures up close, from colorful fish to majestic rays and sharks. It’s not just about the sights either; the exhibits also highlight the importance of protecting marine life, which made the trip both fun and educational. A perfect mix of entertainment and learning for kids and adults alike!
Benjo L — Google review
We had to squeeze the place in before leaving and only had a few hours at the end of day. By which most of the shows and animals had gone to nap. It was still a stunning, out of the world experience. Absolutely recommend checking their schedule in advance so that you dont miss seeing the otters and penguins like we did as they have feeding slots at different parts of the day which all wraps up before 5pm. 12-4 pm may be the best time to visit. Will definitely visit next time on the right time, but the sharks made up for the whole ticket. You also get a madam tussads ticket as an add one with your sea life ticket but the place is only open till 5pm? So if you're done with your sea life visit to you can head to the siam discovery mall (a different location) or use that ticket the next day - it's valid for 2 days.
Leah J — Google review
SEA LIFE Ocean World Bangkok is a wonderful place to spend a few hours, especially if you enjoy marine life and immersive aquarium experiences. The displays are beautifully designed, and the overall layout makes it easy to walk through and enjoy each zone at your own pace. The underwater tunnel and the giant ocean tank are definite highlights — the variety of sharks, rays, and colourful fish is impressive. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the place is kept very clean. There are also interactive areas for kids and fun photo spots. The penguin and jellyfish sections were especially enjoyable and well-lit for viewing. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the tickets are a bit on the expensive side, and some add-on activities cost extra. It can also get quite crowded during peak hours, which slightly affects the experience.

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World — A Fun and Fascinating Escape Beneath the City SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is tucked right beneath the bustling Siam Paragon — an incredibly strategic location that makes it super convenient to visit. That said, getting there for the first time can feel like navigating a maze; the mall’s layout can be a little confusing, so a bit of patience (or following the signs closely) goes a long way. Once inside, though, it’s a delight. The ticket prices are fairly affordable considering the scale of the experience, and the whole place is thoughtfully designed for accessibility — wheelchairs and strollers can move around with ease. The variety of marine species is impressive, from colorful tropical fish to majestic rays and penguins, giving both kids and adults plenty to marvel at. Some sections can be a bit dimly lit, so parents might want to keep a close eye on their little ones. Also, the air-conditioning is quite strong — which is great for comfort but can be chilly for visitors used to Southeast Asian heat. A light jacket, especially for children, is a smart idea. All in all, SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is a refreshing, family-friendly escape right in the heart of Bangkok — a perfect mix of education, wonder, and fun beneath the city’s vibrant streets.

A great way to spend an afternoon if you’re interested in marine life. Very well laid out area with clearly defined sections for the various aquatic species they have on hand. Lots of individuals, families, groups, and pairs. It’s meant to be enjoyed by everyone. There are staff everywhere that as super helpful and very welcoming. Plenty of opportunities for photos and the staff can explain just about everything there.

This place is living manifestation of sea life wonder in one place. When you arrive here you will surely be amazed by the environment of the place, first of all the place os well decorated and maintenance is top notch, here you can see almost every sea creatures whatever you have learnt from any book or educational channels, there are so many varieties of sea creatures are available that its a beggers description for me to elaborate it. This place also offers deep sea diving like experience in the fishing tank, if you have any previous diving experience. In a nutshell this place is a worth of money to be there.

Lumphini Park

City park
Lumphini Park is a sprawling urban oasis in downtown Bangkok, reminiscent of New York's Central Park. Spanning 142 acres, it offers manicured lawns, playgrounds, and an artificial lake with boat rentals. Accessible via public transport, the park provides a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Visitors can spot water monitors by the lake and enjoy activities like boating and bicycling.
Lumphini park is one of my favorite spots in Bangkok to escape the busy city. It’s peaceful, green, and full of space to walk, jog, or simply relax by the lake. There are also a lot of trees 🌳🌳, making the atmosphere so fresh and green. I loved watching the monitor lizards and birds wander around, they’re surprisingly calm. There are boats, outdoor gyms, and shaded benches everywhere. In the mornings and evenings, you’ll see locals exercising, which gives the park a lively yet relaxed vibe. A perfect place to slow down and enjoy some fresh air 👍🏻👍🏻

Lumphini Park – peaceful oasis in the heart of Bangkok! 🌳🌞 Lumphini Park is a beautiful and relaxing green space right in the middle of Bangkok. Perfect for a morning jog, a leisurely walk, or just sitting by the lake and enjoying the view. The park is well-maintained, clean, and spacious, with lots of shady trees, walking paths, and even some wildlife like monitor lizards and birds. You can also rent paddle boats to explore the lake — a fun and peaceful experience. It’s a great place to escape the city hustle for a while and enjoy some fresh air and nature without leaving central Bangkok. Highly recommended! 🌿

umpini Park is a beautiful and impressively large green oasis right in the heart of Bangkok. We decided to visit at sunset, and it turned out to be the perfect choice—the glowing skyline surrounding the park creates a truly magical and atmospheric contrast with the calm nature inside. As you stroll through the park, you’ll come across peaceful lakes, fountains, and, quite surprisingly, many monitor lizards that freely inhabit the area. They’re fascinating to watch and have become one of the park’s unique trademarks. The park is full of life: people jogging, practicing yoga, and large groups working out together to the rhythm of upbeat music. One of the most striking moments happens at 6 PM, when the Thai national anthem plays throughout the park. Everyone stops—literally freezing in place—to honor it. It’s a powerful and memorable experience. If you’re visiting Bangkok, don’t miss this enchanting park. It’s the perfect place to relax, observe local life, and enjoy a side of the city that feels both vibrant and serene.
Davide L — Google review
This is the city's main and most famous park, a true "green lung" amidst the skyscrapers. The park is huge and very pleasant, great for walking, running, or just relaxing in the various shaded areas. It features a lake where you can rent paddle boats and also has a large playground for children. In addition to the monitor lizards that live freely in the lakes and gardens, we noticed the presence of a few street cats. The park offers free public restrooms and is easily accessible. Entry is free.

The Best Park I have ever visited. The picturesque scenes were very good. The playing area was just wonderful. The boys who were playing Basketball🏀 were too friendly. They Invited me to even play. I got a view of the Asiatic Water Monitor and captured few good pictures of the flowers. Overall, it was a nice place to spend time.
Abhradeep A — Google review
A fantastic park worth the visit as a tourist it is quite large but note the entrances on Google Maps as it is not accessible from all sides. No fee to enter. The obvious highlight is the giant monitor lizards, almost like Komodo Dragons, that swim in the water. We also saw some free roaming cats. We saw the most monitors on the north side of the park in the water, by the entrance near the hotels. There is a mall by the south side that has amenities including bathrooms. Very cool experience to seethe monitor lizards so close. Amazing views of Bangkok at sunset as well! We also felt safe walking back at night since the park is well lit - there were many runners and even dance classes going on in the park at night.
Griffin R — Google review
Lumpini Park is a great place to relax in Bangkok. You can spot large monitor lizards wandering around the park, which is quite an experience. There are also duck-shaped pedal boats that you can ride for free, but they check your weight before entering to keep it safe. The attraction is fun, although the boats are in pretty rough condition — some of them squeak a lot, and one even had to be towed back with people inside because it stopped working. Still, for a free ride, it feels like a fair deal. The park itself is clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. There are birds, running and walking paths, and a strict no-smoking policy. A nice place to spend some time outdoors.
Rena C — Google review
Went here to do the paddle boats. Be aware they close from 12-1. We got there by 1:15 and the line moved quickly. They ask for no More than 20mins on boats. We did full lap around water and that was plenty. Saw two monitor lizards in the water. Walked around a bit after and saw more. Places to sit and relax. Nice break from shopping.

Restaurant
Thipsamai is a renowned restaurant in Bangkok, particularly famous for its Pad Thai. The 'Superb Pad Thai' is the star dish, featuring stir-fried noodles with shrimp oil wrapped in a delicate egg net and topped with fresh prawns. While the presentation and taste are impressive, some find it slightly sweeter than their preference. Despite the long queues and limited seating, visitors praise the food quality and attentive staff.
First meal here in Thailand and it was phenomenal. The chicken pad Thai imo is way better than the shrimp, the sauce was amazing. I give the chicken one a 9.5/10 and the shrimp a 8.5/10. I highly recommend this place I would come back
D N — Google review
this was a really tasty plate of pad thai covered in a thin layer of egg that i got. they serve the topping separately in another plate, so there’s like a little activity you do as you prepare to eat your pad thai with the toppings. i really liked it and made me realize pad thai’s versatility in using different sized noodles. thipsamai’s version uses thinner noodles versus what i’m used to which is a lot thicker. it was a bit oily honestly, but worth it! would still get it for another time. 😋

This place is so worth the wait! Delicious prawn pad Thai wrapped in egg with mini shrimps inside. It had a great flavor. We also got shrimp spring rolls covered in sauce. Everything we tried was so amazing.

We had the famous Signature Shrimp Pad Thai. I didn't expect it to be on the sweeter side but i did like it. It was good but honestly I expected more for such a lauded dish. It was quite pricey too. The orange juice is, well, orange. It had orange bits you can it so that's a plus.
Mark K — Google review
Tried the Pad Thai here—definitely on the sweeter side, a bit too much for my taste, and I’ve had a lot of Pad Thai before. The decor looks nice, and the included salad pretty good. Went on a Friday—super crowded since it’s in a food court, so finding a table felt like a mini adventure. Come early or bring your patience
Bonny H — Google review
One of the tastiest pad thais I’ve tried! I initially planned not eating everything but I ended up with a clean plate! However, the fact that it’s in a food court makes the experience leas phenomenal.

I used to eat phat thai quite often but it’s my first time for long. I haven’t encountered “delicious” phat thai before and this one was just another ordinary. Orange juice was nice and gives me a good refreshment for the afternoon 😀

Although, this stall is famous for the pad thai, but I came here specially for the orange juice. The orange juice here has a unique flavour with chunky pieces of oranges in each bottle. It is more expensive that those that you get in the supermarket but it is worth it. Service is very efficient.

Baan Restaurant “Thai Family Recipes” offers a departure from modern culinary trends, focusing on traditional Thai dishes at affordable prices. Emphasizing the use of locally sourced, sustainable ingredients, the menu features standout items like a unique kai palotom saep hybrid and deep-fried sun-dried pork. The restaurant's commitment to quality and flavor shines through in dishes such as massaman kae toon and braised beef green curry.
I learned of the word “Bâan” just this year from Gigguk’s anime film, and it honestly made me curious enough to try this place due to its namesake. I’m glad I did. :) The coconut curry with chicken tasted wonderfully homely, rich, cozy, and full of warmth (you can also adjust the spice level), while the deep-fried pork was crisp and satisfying without feeling heavy. The whole experience felt genuine and welcoming, true to its name. A spot that really does taste like home (also met a kababayan :))… cue Kevin Penkin’s epic music.

Wanted to like the food here so much, but was extremely disappointed by the quality of food served here. I made a reservation a month back but it feels unnecessary. Came into an quiet (empty) place, the furnishing looks slightly worn but warm welcome by the staff. Ordered 3 dishes to try, morning glory salad, an egg & pork stew as well as the pork jowl curry rice. The batter on the morning glory was too heavy and felt very greasy. The pork in the stew was tough and the gravy was lacklustre, you can get this at any street stall at a fraction of the price. The pork jowl was not fresh and had a stench to it. It felt like they were trying to cover it with the spices in the curry. All the dishes we tried were not restaurant quality food. The service staff saw that we barely touched our food and asked if we wanted to take it to go but we rejected as we truly didn't enjoy any of it. However, there were no enquiries on how did we find the food. Therefore, I decided to share my thoughts here with anyone who is thinking to visit Baan to avoid more disappointed guests. Spent ~1140b on the above and left feeling very empty and sad. :(

Came here because of the many Michelin awards, but left disappointed. The restaurant was completely empty on a Friday night. The food, while good, was definitely not worth the price as the portion sizes were lacking. While the service was good, there is better food with similar ambience available in Bangkok for half the price

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unforgettable Fine-Dining Experience at Baan Restaurant in Bangkok We came to Baan Restaurant to celebrate a big business win, and everything — from start to finish — was absolutely exceptional. The fine-dining atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, that make it one of the best restaurants in Bangkok for special occasions. The service was world-class — professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. After enjoying a perfect dinner, we stayed to celebrate with drinks — the ideal ending to an incredible meal. If you’re looking for romantic dinners, luxury dining experiences, or business celebrations in Bangkok, Baan Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. A perfect mix of exceptional service, stunning ambiance, and unforgettable local flavor.

Not Recommended. Between me, you, and the food—just stay away. We walked into an empty restaurant and still decided to give it a chance. I ordered the lamb curry, which was hyped as “the most delicious.” It was nothing close. Overly sweet, drowning in oil, and served with zero effort—no garnish, no presentation, nothing. We spent 3,320 THB for a meal that was barely passable. The other dishes were okay at best—bland, forgettable, and overpriced. To make things worse, the place was hot and uncomfortable, with barely any cooling despite the heat. No, we won’t be coming back. Save your money, your appetite, and your time. There are far better and wayyy cheaper options in this city.

Fast food restaurant
Polo Fried Chicken (Soi Polo) is a renowned spot in Bangkok known for its exceptional deep-fried chicken. Despite the simple decor of Formica tables and metal stools, this establishment has been a favorite for many years. The fried chicken, available in half or whole portions, is considered one of the best in the city. It's often paired with flavorful som tam papaya salads or nam tok gai tawt spicy chicken salad.
The chicken is tender and juicy. But, you should try the somtam (papaya salad). It’s tasty, flavorful, fresh, and refreshing. I ordered the special one, which contain of prawn, crab, squid and salted egg. The ambience was so great. They provide air conditioner inside. And then the service was excellent.
Siti N — Google review
I came here with high expectations since many people recommended Polo Fried Chicken as a must-try spot, but honestly, I left disappointed. The fried chicken, which should be the highlight, didn’t live up to its reputation. It was dry, not served hot, and visually unappealing—more like something from a random street stall than a famous restaurant. The dipping sauces were also a letdown: one overly salty, the other far too sweet. What made it worse was the inconsistency. my portion looked very different compared to what a friend had on another visit at another branch in mall. Other dishes were average at best. The pork neck was decent but forgettable, and again, the sauce didn’t pair well. The catfish salad was lacking in actual fish meat, making it feel incomplete. The only dish I genuinely enjoyed was the larb moo, which was balanced and flavorful. On top of that, they only accept cash, which is inconvenient. Overall, in my experience, Polo Fried Chicken didn’t live up to the hype. I wish the restaurant will improve a better fried chicken and be more consistent in cooking.
Namm C — Google review
Great food, not pretentious, just some yummy local dishes. The chicken although delicious, to be honest, nothing really special. I’ve tasted even better fried chicken from somewhere. Without the fried garlic (and onions), it’s a regular fried chicken. Better than KFC though. Overall, I’d come back here for some local dishes whenever I’m near the area. But maybe not to drive here just for the food. You’ll find the same quality and taste anywhere around Bangkok. Oh, it’s CASH only!!!
Mayorosaldoong — Google review
Polo Fried Chicken used to be one of my favorite spots, but this time it was a bit disappointing. We ordered their signature fried chicken, it came out cold and a bit dry, not like before. The chicken larb was good though, so that kinda made up for it. Honestly, I think their service could use some improvement. Most of the servers seemed really grumpy and it felt a bit uncomfortable, though the owner was nice and friendly.
Nafisa K — Google review
If you're a chicken fan, you absolutely must check this place out! The food is super-local and extremely popular among Bangkok residents. The high volume of delivery orders ensures their chicken is always fresh, and the preparation process is completely transparent once you find the shop. The highlight is the signature garlic-laden fried chicken—make sure to pair it with beer! Adding a side of papaya salad and grilled pork neck makes for a satisfying meal. They do have a separate, air-conditioned seating space located a few shops down from the original stall. But if you're all about experiencing the full local experience, you'll want to sit at the original space. Important Note: Be prepared, as this is a cash-only shop; they do not accept credit cards or PromptPay.
Flo Y — Google review
We went to this famous restaurant on a Saturday, around 2 PM, and were seated immediately, without a wait. We ordered a whole chicken, three portions of rice, and a papaya salad, which was enough for two men and one woman. The chicken, the restaurant's signature dish, was unfortunately a little dry and served at room temperature, suggesting it wasn't freshly made, and it lacked salt and seasoning. The crispy garlic that accompanies it, however, was very good. The table service was strange: we felt that foreigners were ignored, with local customers being served first. We had to raise our hands and wait several times. They do not accept cards, only cash.

This place is a must visit for fried chicken With only around 150 Bath for half chicken price is so worth the price. The chicken is so flavoured and crispy. They served also fish and vegetables. They have 2 places which are the same brand only 100m always with AC and without AC attached to their kitchen.

🛍️ MBK Center – Bangkok’s Bustling Bargain Hub MBK Center is a lively, multi-level shopping mall that blends the feel of a traditional street market with the convenience of an indoor space. It’s packed with mini stores offering everything from fashion and electronics to souvenirs and beauty services. You’ll find plenty of massage chairs and beauty shops—especially manicures—lining the walkways, ready to welcome walk-in customers. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists, where haggling is a must and it’s easy to spend a few hours exploring. The prices are friendly to your wallet, but shopping cheaply here mainly means one thing: bargaining! Negotiating is a must, just like in many other places in Thailand. A good tip is to look around first before buying, because the exact same product might be cheaper just a few shops down.
Khaled M — Google review
Huge mall with absolutely everything. Can spend the whole day here. Lots of food outlets. Diverse range of merchandise high end and budget friendly. Easy access from national stadium bts.
Abpa2010 — Google review
The mall has many dupes at very affordable prices. It does sadly get repetitive though since most of the stores sell the same stuff. Expect to haggle a bit, but they won’t always drastically drop their prices. Definitely worth a visit.
Liam — Google review
Gave it 4 stars because I just wasn’t into every stand asking if I wanted to buy something. Each floor is a certain type of item. One floor is all electronics but every shop seems to be the same. Get your haggling skills ready. Got some decent deals, lots of fakes if you’re into that. It’s massive. Outside food carts are triple the price of what we were paying and went to 7/11 and ate on top quiet floors. Arcades as well if you have kids or need a break.

Bangkok has endless malls. And right here in this area there are three huge malls almost next to each other. First there's the Siam Paragon - our favourite mall, mostly thanks to the great food court, restaurants, food stalls and the Gourmet Market. Then there's CentralWorld. Somewhere between Siam Paragon and the MBK Center when it comes to shops and pricing. Then at last the MBK Center, what I would consider the cheapest of these three (not in a bad way). There are still the big brands and luxury brands. But there are lots of bargains to be found. The food court is a pretty good one, also has a good number of different restaurants on several floors. We did enjoy the "Kenshin Izakaya". The best thing about this mall in my opinion you find on the upper levels at the back of the floors. There's this maze of small little shops. Some selling fake brands and stuff. But others just cheap and cheerful clothes and shoes. For real bargain prices. Shirts, pants, sweaters, jackets, leather goods. Real fun just to get lost there and browse. The other two mall do not have that kind of shops - it's what we come to MBK for. Don't miss out on the stalls outside of the MBK Center (ground floor on the left). Especially nice in the evening.
Alex H — Google review
Disappointing shopping! Crowded with some floors feeling jumbled, and too much of the same items. We got tired of even trying to find something unique. The food options are the best part, quite a variety available and prices were fair. They also have some free public events; we heard bands for a music festival. Public WiFi was poor, very unstable, the MBK WiFi was very time-limited. Went to the Info. Desk to get options, they just sent us to Starbucks. Beware of the taxis parked outside - they asked for more than 3X what it cost for us to arrive at the mall!

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, also known as BACC, is a contemporary arts venue that has become a focal point for the Thai art community. This modern facility offers free exhibitions featuring film, photography, and other art forms. The building's design incorporates elements of traditional Thai architecture while embracing flexibility and natural light. Visitors can explore the multi-story center at no cost and may be tempted to enjoy coffee at the Gallery Drip cafe on the ground floor.
It’s free to enter the building. There is a walkway to skywalk/National stadium station. I enjoyed walking around not only in the unique exhibits but also the shops. I found a really nice leather + wood bag but I chickened out from buying lol. But there were so many creative items to choose from from different shops. I also liked the interactive exhibit on Letting Go.

It’s an amazing center where you can delight your eyes with beautiful art. I was impressed by how they support young artists by showcasing their work. It was also enjoyable to find some great art items for sale. Both the shops and galleries were fantastic. I couldn't help but feel like there are more opportunities to make this place vibrant or more inviting. Little cold. Toilet were bad though. And the lockers were crazy old.
Enkhjin G — Google review
I visited on a weekday. Not crowded at all. Amazing exhibitions, thought invoking and beautiful space. Took the BTS to get to Bangkok Art and Culture Center which was super easy to navigate as you can enter right from the platform basically. Highly recommend others to come here and then you can enjoy shopping at Siam Paragon, Siam Square, and MBK center.
Julia M — Google review
Visited there several months ago and this is definitely one of the best art compounds in Bangkok! The complex encompasses a couple of art exhibitions in different floors. Each exhibition has its own character and uniqueness. What is best about the whole experience is it is free of charge, which is great since most museums require entrance tickets. The center is well connected to the major malls around Siam BTS station such as MBK and Siam Discovery.
Angus P — Google review
Even if you don't love art the building itself is quiet impressive inside. The spaces are designed to really emphasize negative space. Although not all of the displays will be to everyones taste, the gallery has contemporary and large art displays on the upper floors. Great place to spend a couple hours absorbing the meaning behind the pieces.

...next to the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCA is the the art and culture center another 5 star experience here in Bangkok and worth a visit. 7 - 9 floor ! btw. right accross is the MBK shopping mall and just in case Enjoy!
Robert E — Google review
The Bangkok Art & Culture Centre building is very beautiful from the outside and impressive inside. That's the only good part. Honestly, I found most of the exhibits pretty boring. But the worst part was on the last floor. There were literally photos of completely naked people, and they call this art? I was shocked and disgusted. If you don't want to see nude pictures, I would avoid this place. It's a shame that such a beautiful building is filled with such disgusting and offensive content. Not my kind of art at all.
Lazizbek E — Google review
If you have extra time in Bangkok, BACC is definitely worth a visit. This was my second time here, and it’s always exciting because the exhibitions change every month, so there’s something new to experience each visit. The entrance is free, and you’ll find a wide variety of art, culture, and history beautifully showcased. A very inspiring and enriching place — highly recommended!

Food court
MBK Food Legends, located on the 5th and 6th floors of the MBK Center in Bangkok, is a popular destination for food enthusiasts. The food court offers a wide range of dining options, including high-quality halal and vegetarian stalls. Visitors can enjoy delicious meals at reasonable prices without compromising on taste or portion sizes. The clean and spacious environment makes it an ideal spot to explore various culinary delights while shopping at the massive MBK Center.
Very good food court for reasonable prices. It’s a good option for those who is still unsure about trying open-air street food. I myself gpt lucky to find in that food court boat noodles right before the flight back, was the last dish on the trip to check out <3 Remember that you need to exchange cash for a local food court card, most food courts in Bangkok work like that.
Julia A — Google review
Boat noodles is our favourite, lots of choice of meat, a small friendly atmosphere. Moo nam Tok ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมูน้ำตก . Traditional Thai noodles choose the size of noodles fresh not dried stuff you get in UK. Noodle soup is about the broth. I can confirm that the broth is good. The test is when you do not need to add too much extra flavoring.

Been here many times and I’m happy that I am now able to get halal food here, even Indonesian! Love that they now extend the expiration of the card. Pad thai from Khus Prik and banana roti is a must!!
E — Google review
This place is actually not bad for a meal. The food is good, especially impressed with the braised pork leg rice. Tables are easy to find and the whole place is bustling with activity and diners. You just gotta get the card at the entrance first, so you can go in to tap for payment. Any balance in your card can be refunded within 30 days.
Randall — Google review
Many varieties of cuisines to pick from. Large open space and spacious layout and good view overseeing the city. Top up cards only, unless you have rabbit pay. QR Code prompt pay are not accepted here. Can get super jam during lunch and dinner hours.

Le Du

Thai restaurant
Le Du, a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Silom, Bangkok, offers creative and deconstructed Thai dishes crafted by chef Thitid Ton Tassanakajohn. The menu features four- to six-course tasting menus with seasonally inspired dishes like meaty river prawn with pork belly jam and free-range chicken with fermented fish. Chef Ton's highwire techniques transform classics like green curry and miang kham, while local ingredients are combined to create heavenly flavor sensations.
We visited several two-star restaurants in Bangkok and were utterly enchanted and surprised to find that this one-star establishment outshines all the others in terms of flavor. The service was pleasant and unobtrusive, the wine selection was exceptional, and the Thai dishes were presented with a modern twist. The food was beautifully arranged, and the cozy bistro design, complemented by an open kitchen, created an inviting atmosphere. This place truly encompasses everything that makes a gourmet heart race with excitement. Every aspect, from the carefully curated menu to the welcoming ambiance, reflects a dedication to culinary excellence that is often hard to find. The balance of traditional Thai flavors with innovative techniques showcases the chef's creativity and skill. Dining here feels like a delightful journey through the rich tapestry of Thai cuisine, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts.
David R — Google review
Such great Thai experience at Le Du in Bangkok. It’s elegant, jet playful. Fine dining without being to pretentious. Chef Ton who is a great ambassador for the Thai kitchen works closely with Thai farmers and fishermen to get some great produce. Flavours, textures that I sometimes recognise but sometimes they are totally new to me. It’s such a nice experience to eat here and the staff are very attentive. We had both the wine pairing and also the non-alcoholic alternative. And surprisingly equally nice! Interior, it’s cozy and the restaurant having a fantastic light from thousands of little lamps in the ceiling!
Fab N — Google review
We came after seeing Chef Ton's ingenuity on Restaurant Wars and the food did not disappoint. The ingredients in each dish were unexpectedly clever. The kind that make you pause because the flavours are doing something interesting you can’t quite explain. (No kidding, I took notes as they explain each dish.) Not sure why the recent reviews calling the food “bland” or “one-dimensional”. A solid pick if you enjoy food that looks good, and leaves you talking about it on the way home.
Yi Y — Google review
We visited Le Du shortly after it was named the best restaurant in Asia. It was a nice experience overall, though not quite the best we’ve had - in Asia, Thailand, or even Bangkok 🙂 The signature river prawn was truly outstanding, and the coconut, sage & sesame dessert was another highlight. The rest of the dishes, however, felt more average and didn’t leave a strong impression. The ambience was pleasant but not extraordinary, and the air conditioning was uncomfortably strong, which made it a bit hard to fully relax and enjoy the meal.
Chiara O — Google review
The most stylish Thai food, so good it deserves a Michelin star. The charm of the ingredients, which are carefully prepared in every step, is a first for me and will likely be repeated a little next season. Every menu experience stimulates the taste buds very well, very impressive. The atmosphere and the people are happy, both physically and spiritually, as they say, food for your soul.
Bo K — Google review
I rarely write negative reviews, but this restaurant truly deserves honest feedback. Despite carrying a Michelin star, the dining experience fell far below expectations. The food lacked freshness, and each dish felt very plain. There was no creativity in the flavours and no variation in texture—every course tasted and felt the same. For a place with such high recognition, the lack of innovation and effort in the cooking was extremely surprising and disappointing. The service was even more unacceptable. The waiter Chris displayed very poor service attitude from start to finish. He was dismissive, unfriendly, and seemed annoyed whenever we asked simple questions. His unprofessional behaviour made the entire dinner uncomfortable, overshadowing whatever enjoyment the food could have offered. What should have been a pleasant and memorable dining night turned out to be a very unpleasant experience. The combination of uninspired dishes and bad service makes this restaurant impossible to recommend. I strongly suggest choosing another place if you value good food and respectful service.
Celest C — Google review
I have visited Michelin-starred restaurants in many different countries, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The ingredients were not very fresh and the food quality was disappointing. The cooking lacked creativity — most 1-star Michelin restaurants present at least two to three layers of flavour and texture in every dish. However, every dish here had only a single flavour profile and one flat texture. It felt like the chef did not put in the effort or professionalism expected at this level. The service was extremely poor, especially from a waiter named Chris, whose attitude and behaviour made the dining experience even more unpleasant. Overall, I strongly do not recommend visiting this restaurant.
Moon W — Google review
Very good experience. But Le Du claims to be the best restaurant in Asia and doesn’t live up to that claim. But still, excellent food, service, and ambiance. A good find through the Michelin Guide.
