Visitors are encouraged to enjoy this amazing adventure surrounded by nature's beauty for a memory that will last forever.
We had an excellent experience with this adventure! Leo and Davide, our guides, truly made it unforgettable and one of the best we’ve ever had. We’re already planning to come back—this time with mountain boots ready for the snow!

Fantastic experience to do if you're in the Dolomites, did this in May. Nice adrenaline activity to do if you're looking to rest a bit from all the hiking. Staff were very nice and friendly, made me feel very welcomed. I was doing this solo and managed to get the experience to myself which was nice. There's 7 different posts, where you'll zip line down. It's not just 1 big one, at the end a photo is taken and you can purchase that for €9.

An absolutely amazing experience, I am nearly 70 years old and I had a fantastic time, from booking my place through to the end of the ride everything was perfect, the staff are brilliant and the equipment is 1st class, you feel safe throughout , if you come here , try it, it is brilliant.

Nice zip line. Quite easy and fast, as you don't stop at stations. You just continue forward. A guide in every stations just noves you forward. Notice that if you are in a group, you won't meet on the way until last station

Drive is fine and perfect. Two guides we're nice, other one Made you feel like ITS the most boring job ever and he hates people. This ist quite unfortunate for this price.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at (and I’ve traveled to 50+ countries). I’ve never been treated like I had been by the owner of this place and her mother in my life. My partner and I were there in August, it was warm in the room (which seems like a place from the 80s, everything was old and outdated) so we went to the reception and asked for a fan, politely. When the owner’s mother said she didn’t have one, we said ok and went to find it elsewhere. The next morning during breakfast, the owner showed up to our table at breakfast and started YELLING at us for having spoken to her mother and asking her for things she couldn’t provide. When I say yell, I mean she was shouting at us in front of the 20+ people in the room, accusing us of being mean and ridiculous for asking for a fan. I mean it when I say this, I have never ever been treated like that by a stranger before, let alone a HOTEL OWNER. My partner and I couldn’t get a word in, we were absolutely shocked and couldn’t believe how she was treating us. I was literally shaking for a couple of hours after that, it was the most humiliating and she completely ruined our day. I would absolutely never recommend this place or its owners to anyone, they’re absolutely rude, out of line, and know absolutely nothing about hospitality.

Restaurant
I recently visited Ristorante Tabarel for the second time this week and was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff, who were incredibly polite and had a kind disposition. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, with an alpine vibe complemented by moderate background music. The prices are reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. I highly recommend trying their gnocchi, local hamburger, and steak as they are all delicious.
Fantastic food. Great service and good wine. My wife and I had a lovely meal here, we had 3 course with each one of a high quality. The fillet steak was a good size and cooked exactly to perfection. The pasta was also very good 💯

Outstanding in every respect. We had a couple of bottles of some Tyrolean Cab Sauvignon that was exceptional. The nettle dumplings were superb (I know, who would believe that) and the beef and pork were excellent. An A star restaurant

Cozy atmosphere and lovely meal for a quick lunch or a nice dinner out. Make sure to reserve for the evening to secure a spot. Lunch is only till 2pm and they don't do any bar service. Only restaurant. Dogs are welcome! A must to visit while in San Vigilio and very central as well!

Excellent location, food is good but not great, though being a place for tourists it’s actually better than expected. Service is acceptable, the female servers are nice and friendly, the young gentleman didn’t want to give us a table in the shade because it was a table for 5 just in case a party of 5 shows up. Of course that table was empty all the time while we had to eat lunch half in the sun. Sincerely, he needs to re-evaluate his choice to work in the service industry

We visited the Wine bar on a recommendation from the restaurant and were lucky enough to find a table for two on a Friday night. Was served by owner and his charming wife, had three courses of wine on his recommendation and a great antipasto plate with cheese, locally supplied. Every wine had a charming story and was delightfully paired. I suggest visiting both the wine bar and the restaurant!

(Translated by Google) The accommodation is really great and I was totally impressed in all aspects. The entire team is super attentive, friendly and always available if you have a question or need a tip for a tour or similar. Overall, in terms of service, cleanliness and quality, the hotel is better than most hotels I have visited so far. I myself stayed in a room with 2 occupancy, all of which are very modern and comfortable. The sanitary facilities are also all new and are always kept clean. Breakfast and dinner are also very good, the food is fresh and homemade. The location is great, for example if you walk the Alta Via 1 and start at Lake Braies, you will find great accommodation here for your first night. I was there for a total of 3 nights and, among other things, went up to Monte Sennes, a somewhat lesser-known tour than to Seekofel. All in all, highly recommended!

The chef prepares exquisite dishes, delicious ice cream, and fresh aperitifs. The pleasant environment and sun-kissed terrace provide the perfect setting to enjoy both sports and culinary delights. Small steak restaurant, we are visiting it every time we are in san Vigilio. The atmosphere is very nice, there is always some local people staying for a drink which makes it somehow more accommodating. The staff it's very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. We always go for steak and we never got it wrong, meat quality it's high, seasoning it's perfect and the baked potato is a nice addition. I was not sure if I wanted to add this comment as part of me wants to keep this gem hidden from mass tourism! Highly recommended!

We reserved our table from 6pm to 8pm and when we orderd steak and it was not grilled enough, the boss women was arrogant and just said that we have to go. The steak was not eatable, but we paid everything. Then we just want to tell them that it was not ok, they were making excuses and the woman which was the boss didn’t even want to say sorry, so we just want that this girl see what behaving means in business.

We’ve been here for dinner during our first day in San Vigilio. We didn’t make a reservation but anyway they gave us a nice table. We started with an onion soup with crostini covered with melt cheese. It was so delightful! The right choice to warming up for the main course in a very cold evening. Then we had the costata for 2 persons which was quite big and the meat was so tender! The costata comes with two sides as well, a baked potato and some grilled veggies. We tried also the desserts which were very refreshing, I really recommend to try the pineapple carpaccio with maraschino and ice cream. Regarding the staff the service was very friendly and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. Prices are also ok considering the location

Ciola Steakhouse in San Vigilio is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuinely friendly atmosphere. The staff were fantastic, making us feel welcome and offering helpful recommendations. But the real star of the show was the food. We ordered the 1kg Picanha and the beef tartare, and both were absolutely incredible. The Picanha was cooked to perfection, melt-in-your-mouth tender and bursting with flavor. It's easily the best steak I've had in town, and possibly anywhere! The beef tartare was equally impressive, fresh, and beautifully presented. If you're looking for an amazing steak experience in San Vigilio, Ciola is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Have been going to this beautiful place for many years. Confidently located between the bottom of the ‘Miara’ slope as you head down towards the town. We would stop in here every night before dinner for a couple of sharpeners. Over the course of the week I tried an Aperol Spritz, Hugo, Campari Spritz, Gin and Tonic, White Wine, Red Wine, larger and unfiltered beer which were all delicious with all mixed drinks being made with the generous European free pour. On the final night we had dinner here for 4 and was not disappointed at all. We ordered the beef tartare, venison tartare and the home cured salmon to start - all said they would have ordered the same again. Then for the main course we had 2 of the rib eyes which were not only a hearty portion to say the least but cooked perfectly. We had a selection of deserts to finish with the best of that lot being the panna cotta. Cannot recommend it enough and is a highlight of our stay every time!

I highly recommend making a reservation via phone to avoid waiting for a few minutes at Da Attilio restaurant. The staff is exceptionally polite, the service is fast, and the food is delicious. The house wine, particularly the white variety, is quite good. The pizza is amazing and pairs well with their excellent selection of beer. The waitress, who happens to be Czech, is extremely sweet and provides attentive and professional care. I sincerely appreciate this establishment and look forward to visiting again.
We ate here 3 times during our stay and we love it. Both pizza and pastas are really great, especially the ravioli and spatzle. Very cozy atmosphere and impecable service.

Absolute gem! We ate here multiple times, great variety on the menu. Staff welcoming and attentive. Great portion sizes. Can’t fault it. Recommend the macaroni ragout or san daniele pizza!!

The grilled vegetables tasted very nice. However, the dumplings tasted very sour-sweet and doughy, which I personally did not like. As dessert I had apfelstrudel with ice-cream. I thought that the apfelstrudel would be warm, but it was cold unfortunately.

I would recommend to make a reservation by phone, otherwise you have to wait a couple of minutes. Very polite employees, fast service and delicious food. House wine is good (white).

Nice pizzeria & restaurant with really good atmosphere. Glutenfree pizza is available as well. Staff is kind and the service is quite fast including to make and serve the dishes. We eat various kind of dishes(pizza, steak, hamburger) and everything was really good. We found the prices friendly as well.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming village of San Vigilio di Marebbe, Ristorante Fana Ladina offers a delightful culinary journey that celebrates the rich flavors of Ladinia. This inviting eatery is renowned for its rustic cuisine, where traditional recipes are lovingly prepared using fresh ingredients sourced from their own garden. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for families and friends to gather over a delicious meal.
Fana Ladina: A Rustic Culinary Gem in San Vigilio Nestled in the heart of San Vigilio, Fana Ladina offers an unforgettable dining experience that seamlessly blends rustic charm, warm hospitality, and exquisite traditional cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a cozy, inviting atmosphere, enhanced by the friendly staff dressed in traditional attire. The restaurant's design exudes authentic Alpine charm, creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. We began our culinary journey with a selection of tantalizing starters, each bursting with fresh, local flavors. For our main courses, we opted for the beef steak and lamb chops, both cooked to perfection and showcasing the quality of the ingredients. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to using the finest produce. Every dish felt like a home-cooked meal, prepared with love and passion. What truly set Fana Ladina apart, however, was the unique opportunity to hear the staff speaking Retro-Roman, an ancient language that added an enchanting layer to the entire experience. It was fascinating to witness this living piece of history, making our dinner not just a meal, but a cultural immersion. Fana Ladina is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of tradition, flavor, and community. If you're looking for an authentic Ladin experience in San Vigilio, this is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

This place is a must while visiting St. Vigil. Menu is full of unique Ladenish dishes which you won't find anywhere else. I highly reccomend the deer tartare. Service is very friendly and professional. Multilingual waiters will tell you about every dish and explain secrets of Ladenish cuisine. The owner is very open and friendly. This restaurant is made with love for the food <3

Delicious food, very friendly owner and staff. Beautiful historic building over 300 years old. Highly Recommend. Source their lettuce from their own garden. We sat at this picturesque table with a beautiful field, church and Mountain View 🤩👍

We've been in Italy for two weeks, and our lunch today is definitely in our top 3 meals. Beautiful restaurant with inside and outside seating. Excellent service. We can highly recommend the pork shank (huge), the soup with ravioli, the mixed salad (with ingredients from their garden), and the apple cake with ice cream. The chef really knows their flavors - the sides to the shank were perfect (veggies, croquettes, and fried polenta). If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a detour. Yum!!!

Delicious local cuisine. Lots of gluten-free options, including desserts. We highly recommend this place!!! We have returned, yet again! This time we had dinner and it was spectacular. Make sure you eat the venison medallions and the stinco. Absolutely fantastic. Plus, the owners are delightful!

Very good restaurant specializing in classic Ladin dishes. The ambiance was very nice and the staff very friendly and professional. The deer tartar was exceptional. Also the fondue and the pork filet cooked in hay were very good. We enjoyed the experience.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Ritterkeller Area - Camper San Vigilio, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Cascate di Ciastlins. All together, your day would be filled with about 2 hours of non-stop fun.

Nestled in the heart of nature, the Ritterkeller Area - Camper San Vigilio offers a serene and tidy camping experience that is perfect for travelers seeking tranquility. With essential amenities like water and electricity, this camper area ensures a comfortable stay. Guests can indulge in delicious pizzas from the on-site restaurant, though patience is required as they are worth the wait! Dogs are warmly welcomed here, making it an ideal spot for pet owners.
A big, neat and green camper stop with all that is needed, water, electricity, the price is fine, plus there is a pizzeria and a restaurant with good food. And an amazing view over the town and mountains. I highly recommend it. Hiking paths are near and there is a great hiking path that leads to Pederü, through the woods, not demanding, provides you with a great view over the mountains and pastures with cows grazing the grass, a crystal clear river flows nearby. Wonderful.

No showers or WC, but great view over the village. But it looked like they were building a shower and toilet facilities near the restaurant in the summer of 2023. Cost if I remember correctly 40€ per night at that time.

To throw away the rubbish we went around a can as there is no signage to help you! The ski slope is 200m which is very convenient! We will be happy to return!!!!!! (Original) Area camper bella, tranquilla, pulita. Torneremo molto volentieri!!!!!!

Would never expect such a beautiful place hidden in the area. If you are around go there and enjoy, it's 1h both ways and quite easy climb.

Breathtaking. Cannot get over how beautiful this place was. Trail to the waterfall is easy, last 10 min is an easy climb, but there are stairs. I started the hike across the road from the Owl park (there is a public restroom here), not the lake, as Google maps is showing. Not really any signage directing you to waterfall, but just follow the walking path, it’s not hard to find.

Located just 100m from the ski resort and center, Osteria-B&B & Apartments Ciastel is a top destination that offers a delightful experience. The staff is incredibly charming and always ready to assist with any inquiries. The food served here is exceptional, with a focus on local cuisine and meticulous attention to detail. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and beautifully designed. It's definitely worth coming back to this establishment in the future.
This place is amazing. I give it 5 stars. We stayed in the beautifully renovated mansion in super comfortable apartments. Its exterior & interior decor is so beautiful. Staff is very professional and extremely nice. Food was localy sourced and delicius. Our Ski storage was in a building accross the street. There is also their inhouse welness which is amazing. Ski slopes are 5 minutes away and easily accessible on foot. San Vigilio city center is 15 away on foot. We realy enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again next year.

We dined on Valentine’s Day and appreciated the extra the restaurant made to celebrate the occasion. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely and cosy. However, what we enjoyed the most is the waiter’s enthusiasm to make our dinner an unforgettable experience! He was full of interesting facts about the food, ingredients and region. Highly recommend and we look forward to going again.

What an amazing and special place in the heart of the Dolomites. Absolutely stunning view and immaculately put together property made even better by an amazingly friendly staff. Good breakfast. Dinner at the Osteria was top notch. Room was huge and comfortable. Great place for the kids to hangout too (small slide, grass area, chickens). I can’t say enough about this place. We would dream of living here permanently. We felt at home, made even more so with an amazing staff who tended to us with a smile every time and went out of their way to do things like show us their farm.

I went with my lovely half on vacation in this beautiful region of northern Italy and we ended up staying in one of the apartments of Ciastel. What to say, the staff is amazing and they really make you feel home, their sense of hospitality is very warm and the intimacy of the apartments is also spot on! Last but not least is their restaurant: the food is awesome and we learned that is prepared by the mother of the general manager of the place, who himself is always at the location and always very happy to help. Positive note also on the service, really professional but at the same time not cold and too much "automatic" but more "human". If you are around pay a visit to their restaurant, is worth it.
Eyes F — Google review
I had the pleasure to dine in this beautiful place few nights ago with a dear local friend after he recommended checking this establishment which he already knew and what's better than going to dine where the locals are going? So I followed him promptly and I am deeply satisfied. Everything was just perfect, the choice of the ingredients and products offered in the menu is their priority, and you can feel that with every bite or every sip of wine you take. Michael, the head waiter, correctly recommended us the best wine to pair with our meal (he seemed to have quite an extensive knowledge on the matter) and together with his assistant and with the help of the kitchen they made us spend an unforgettable evening. We were just passing by the village of San Vigilio and, although is not my first time visiting this beautiful little town, it was my first time discovering this cozy and warm little osteria serving only traditional dishes prepared with ingredients that they produce themselves (the owners have a farm and produce their own meat and vegetables and, what they don't produce, they source it locally from selected wineries and beverage producers of the area, so you are in for a pleasurable discovery if you stop by this place). Highly recommended, best reserving before, especially during peak ski season time. I highly recommend trying their cold cuts dish, where you can savor their Speck and dry sausages which were well worth the price. Next time I will bring my wife too, seems perfect for a little romantic evening in a cutely mountain style decorated classic"stube". 5 stars and well deserved.

This peaceful hotel offers a charming restaurant with a picturesque terrace, as well as complimentary internet access and transportation to the ski slopes. While exploring the area on a bicycle, I stopped at the bar for a coffee. I had visited this place before and always appreciated its inviting ambiance, even if it was just for a simple espresso.
Beautiful forest chalet restaurant with 16 rooms and fantastic food. Rooms and interior freshly renovated, I’m guessing during 2024. WiFi works really well. Staff friendly. Great if you want a quiet country remote hideaway but still 1 hours walk to the local town or bus stop outside the front door.

Fantastic stay! Marco was super helpful, the room was lovely. The view from the room was delightful overlooking the lake with the swans. We enjoyed drinks and dinner. Then the breakfast the next morning was amazing. It was exactly what we needed before we started hiking for the day. If I'm back in the area, I would plan to stay here!

Note: I'm reviewing the hotel and not the restaurant. In one sentence: my experience was fantastic! The absolute best about the hotel is its location. You are directly in nature and there are no other hotels or people around (that's why you definitely need a car). The view from the hotel is fantastic (you look at a mountain 🏔️ outside). What I also loved were the Jacuzzi and the sauna (which was not frequently visited so one could relax alone). The service was super nice 👍 Only downside was that the room could have a been a bit bigger. All in all it was a great experience.
