Outdoor Activities
Misquamicut State Beach, located in the village of Misquamicut in the Town of Westerly, offers a half-mile stretch of sandy beachfront and modern facilities including pavilions, concessions, outdoor showers, and shade gazebos. It is a popular destination for both locals and non-residents during the summer months. The beach area spans about half a mile and provides ample space for visitors to enjoy the sun and sand.
Tuesday in July at 10AM had lots of parking. By 2PM, parking was more difficult. Mororhomes under 30ft can park here if there is room or grass. The seagulls here will sneak up and steal food out of your hand. Clean, cool water with nice soft sand.

Went on a week day in May. Very pretty view. Free parking and not many people around. Fun place to have a picnic or fly a kite. Some fun shells and cool rocks to collect. Definitely not fit for swimming this time of year but if you are in the area for sure worth checking out. Beach was overall clean without litter.
Cora K — Google review
A nice beach. Good staff. Good quality. Can be VERY BUSY. so be prepared. The parking situation can be tough and a bit expensive, there is food there. Its pricey but good quality. Also some fun merchandise to buy.
Morgan B — Google review
This beach is a fantastic spot to enjoy time with family, friends, or even by yourself. The sand is clean, and there are lifeguards on duty for added safety. I noticed many Great Black-backed Gulls, so be careful with your food. Parking costs $20 (on Tuesday), and when I arrived around 2:30 PM, I was still able to find a spot. The water was beautiful and perfect for swimming.
Mayara P — Google review
Always a pleasure to come here for a day at the beach. You really can't beat the convenience that they have with the restrooms, showers, food, and beach shop all right there.
Brittany L — Google review
It's hard to believe that it is October. The beaches are empty because the kids are at school. There are still some businesses open. Nice, relaxing and still beautiful waves.
Debbie W — Google review
There are lots of litter, and it's quite irritating that it's only free after 6 instead of 5 now. It's one of those beaches that is pretty rocky, full of seaweed, and always busy. But, it's a beach...all in all, it's going to be beautiful regardles.
Zoe S — Google review
The beach was nice, although there was some seaweed, the water was crystal clear, and there was plenty of parking. If you're not a Rhode Island resident, you pay $30. There's restaurant service, restrooms, and showers.

Two Little Fish is a relaxed seafood eatery situated by the shoreline that is well-known for its delectable lobster rolls and fish 'n' chips. Offering both beer and wine, this family-owned restaurant at Misquamicut Beach prides itself on serving a variety of seafood dishes such as clam cakes, chowder, and hot lobster rolls. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, making it a favorite spot among locals and tourists alike.
Awesome food (Clam strip dinner) and ( Sea scallop dinner) and Awesome service as always Very friendly Staff ,Very Clean inside and out ,Been coming to Two little fish for years and never a disappointed meal , Nice start to my summer of 2023

One of my favorite clam shacks in RI. I used to visit every summer I lived away. Lobster roll was still delicious, although a bit smaller than previous pictures. Prices are not cheap, as to be expected with today's inflation. $35 for Lobster roll, fries, slaw, and drink. I will still be a fan!

Very good place for late lunch. We had sea scallops and fish and chips dinner. Both delicious! Also they have cold beer! Friendly stuff and good atmosphere. Reasonable prices.

Hearty portion, friendly servers, reasonable prices. Light battered Haddock, home made French fries, coleslaw was delicious.

We picked this spot after searching for seafood restaurants near me. Right by the beach which we enjoyed after our meal. We ordered the lobster rolls for two platter which saves a couple ten dollars if the sandwiches were ordered individually. Bottled beer and one serving wines are available for adults. The lobster rolls were good made the traditional way with buttered grilled New England style hot dog rolls. The clam fritters had a nice batter but miniscule if any clams at all. There is both inside and outside seating. The shocker came when we chose to sit outside in a thin outer section of the deck that had a long counter with stools, since all the front tables with umbrellas were taken, and a large male seagull swooped down and in seconds stole our two sandwiches in his beak right off our plate. Dropping them to the ground, he and another male gull ate them in less than a minute. I had just enough time, despite my state of shock, to get a photo of them before they flew off. My companion had gone inside to get another mini bottle of wine, so I alone experienced this bizarre occurrence. Thank you to the manager for replacing them free of charge. The young gal behind the register said this happened sometimes. We ate our new platter inside.

The fried scallops, calamari and shrimp are amazing. The clam chowder was excellent. Loved the whole belly clams! Highly recommend this place. You can't truly experience Misquamicut without eating here

The best lobster rolls ever 🤤 It’s gotten really pricey lately but I think it’s still worth the quality of food you’re getting. I would say tho, staff could be a little friendlier 🙂

Could I love this place any more?! First off, the food was awesome and the service was amazing. On top of all that, they are incredibly eco-conscious with all compostable disposables, have incentives for picking up beach trash, and donate money to local animal rescues! Thank you, Two Little Fish! Everyone needs to follow your inspiring example!

Paddy's Beach Club is a delightful oceanfront destination that perfectly captures the essence of summer fun. Located just a short drive from Misquamicut beach, this vibrant eatery offers a menu filled with kid-friendly American fare and features an exclusive 21+ tiki bar. The atmosphere is lively, especially during their all-day beach parties on Sundays throughout the summer months. Guests can savor delicious cocktails served in charming beach-themed ceramic glasses while enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze and stunning views.
Best beachside venue. Right on the beach, can walk into the ocean while watching the bands. Night time beach walks are so great with incredible bands. Saw Dudemanbro! Original band from Narragansett. Highly recommend checking out this unique beach bar and great music!

We’ve been loyal visitors to Paddy’s Beach Club for years, It has always been part of our summer tradition. Sadly, this year was a completely different experience and not in a good way. It honestly felt like a completely different place. There’s no more table service — everything is takeout now, and they tack on a $5 fee for it, which feels excessive given the drop in quality. The food was mediocre at best. We’re not sure if there’s been a change in management or ownership, but something is definitely off. Really disappointing after so many great summers here. It might be time to explore other spots in the area that still deliver good service and atmosphere.
Jasmine B — Google review
My husband and I went for lunch . Sat on the patio so we could enjoy the view of the ocean while eating . Toni the bartender & also waitressed was so friendly & attentive. The food was so fresh & delicious. I highly recommend this establishment!
Lisa C — Google review
Visiting Paddy's has been a yearly tradition for my wife and I when our niece comes to visit during the summer. Unfortunately, this year was a wildly different experience that left us all disappointed and initiated a conversation of whether it was worth making a trip next year. Issue number 1 that bothered us was that there was no table service. Sure, there were some areas that had full table service, but none of those areas were available in the sand area - where we enjoy sitting. We felt a little rushed trying to look over the menu while in line and people waiting behind us. It didn't feel very hospitable and we felt uncomfortable that we might be taking too long to look over the dining options. So, after we ordered through the 'take out' bar, and found our table in the sand... When the food was ready, we received it in a large paper bag with everything in take out containers. Had to ask if there were utensils, then was pointed to a utensil dispensing area. Again, we weren't expecting a lack of service, so this was uncomfortable. We take our food to the table and because we had a large paper bag now, we had to worry about that flying off while we ate our food. Sure, these issues might be minor for a place like Paddy's, and I'm sure they make tons of money off their drinks and food...but the experience we had this year was definitely cause enough for us to choose to not come back next year. I don't appreciate going somewhere and spending $300 for food and drinks to get absolutely ZERO service. We will definitely be checking other options for next years visit. I'm really disappointed at the direction this place is going. I'm going to miss the fish and chips, but it's definitely not worth the terrible experience.

Went with a friend for night cap drinks. We waited 8 minutes for one of the two female bartenders to greet and take our order. One was dark hair and larger where the other had blue hair and very skinny. Both bartenders were talking to a gentleman and female seated next to me, and did not greet. Eye contact was made with the blue hair bartender as I was picking up my phone to check the time and she came over. Friend ordered a beer, I ordered a mango frozen drink. As an industry person for over 15 years and bartender for over 10, the bartender did not use a jigger to measure out the alcohol and did not even provide a shots worth of alcohol in the drink. Shot is 1 ounce which is a 3 count (like you are dancing. 1 and 2 and 3 and). Drinks were paid for and we promptly left and headed next door to the beach bar attached to the hotel right next door. Save the hype of hitting up “Paddy’s” and go to the other beach bar. You’ll enjoy your time much more.

This is easily the coolest spot on the beach. It has something for everyone young and old alike and it’s always a great time. The owner personally walks around to make sure every guest is having a positive experience, which makes a big difference. The view is unbeatable, the music sets the perfect vibe, and the energy is always fun. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out!
Joe M — Google review
I don’t think I have ever experienced worse service in my life. Waited for close to two hours to get service. This was even after politely going up and asking a serve to please come to my table to take my order. It was so bad I left before I was able to put an order in. Based on reviews, this may have just been a bad day and I hope to give it a second chance to prove me wrong soon.

I doubt I will have a better, fresher Fajita Chicken at any Beach Club or restaurant and their personal touch on the macaroni salad was exceptional ⭐⭐... Ask for the New Maria Mocktail~The bartender and server were top notch 💫 It's a fun, vibrant Place To Be and I wish I could have stayed for whatever band was setting up. I've been visiting Paddy's for years and they continue to Leveling Up.

Park
Napatree Point Conservation Area, established in 1945, is a coastal nature preserve known for bird nesting and migratory resting. The area offers various summer activities such as beach volleyball, surfcasting, and birdwatching. Nearby attractions include the historic Watch Hill Lighthouse and the Flying Horse Carousel. Visitors can also enjoy the luxurious Ocean House hotel with its elegant Verandah and croquet lessons.
I visited Napatree Conservation Point on a sunny May day and had a wonderful experience. The area offers a scenic hike of about 4–6 miles along the beach, making it perfect for nature lovers. The beach itself is beautiful, clean, and swimmable. There’s a free public restroom available, and a shower facility for $5, which is convenient after a swim or hike. It seems like an ideal picnic spot, especially in the late summer months. Nearby, there are charming craft shops, ice cream parlors, and beachy clothing boutiques that add to the relaxed, coastal vibe. I also spotted some rare birds while exploring, which was a delightful bonus. A great spot for a peaceful day out by the sea! There was two hour free parking until May 31.

Beautiful location, you can park the boats on one side where it's calmer. Walk over the hill to the ocean side. Very clean beach, located near Castle Hill. Great walking beach I.

- about a 4 mile out and back walk along the shoreline with views of Watch Hill Point Lighthouse - Great for birdwatching and dog walking, bags are provided at the entrance - Parking is private during the summer at the trail entrance but you can park in front of the shops year round (about a 1 minute walk from the trail entrance). Parking at the trail is open during the offseason. - No bathrooms - I saw a seal off shore, they migrate north during the fall so that’s the best time of the year to see them in RI

Heard that it was a great hidden gem, so wanted to check it out. It was indeed beautiful, but the setup is far from ideal. Parking for the beach is rough, either street parking that has a 2 hour limit and is a 10 minute walk to the beach (with a steep, sandy hill), or a lot that cost $50 and is a 15 minute walk with a steep, sandy hill. Didn’t see bathrooms. So if you’re a resident or staying locally, great beach. If you’re a day-tripper, just drive the extra 10 minutes over to Misquamicut.

It's a lovely area and beautiful stretch of beach BUT there is a limit on when dogs are allowed, even leashed, during peak times they will NOT 🚫 allow any dogs from 8am-6pm. Please note this.

Located in Watch Hill, the Olympia Tea Room has been a beloved fixture since 1939. This classic family-owned restaurant offers nostalgic details and a menu featuring New England favorites. The establishment boasts antique mahogany booths and bay views, making it a charming spot to enjoy dishes like linguini with roasted clams and Portuguese baked haddock. While reservations are not accepted, the wait is worthwhile for those looking to savor the old-world charm of this historic gem.
First, a shout out to our server Kalee, who was wonderful. Looking at other reviews, there are a minority of people who had bad experiences, but we must have hit a good night, because the food, atmosphere and service were all top notch. The specials were rather pricey, so we stuck with the menu items. We started with Crisp Zucchini Ribbons, which we both loved. I had the Portuguese Baked Haddock, which was spicy and delicious, and my wife had the roast chicken, which was delectable and so big that I got to finish about a third of it. Dessert was ridiculously good!
Jim M — Google review
Surprisingly, I was quite disappointed by Olympia tea room my first time here. We were sat down in a booth towards the back, and this is where the issues started. I’m not sure if it’s just that part of the restaurant, but they seem to have a fly problem. The entire meal, flies were relentlessly buzzing around us and It was very irritating. Secondly, the staff are not very friendly, our waitress was okay this time. However, two of us had been there before and said that their waitress was extremely rude. Third issue was the food itself. I got the halibut special and another person in my party got the duck. The orange sauce on the duck was delicious, but the duck itself was extremely overcooked and nearly inedible. The halibut had a beautiful sear, but the fish itself was extremely bland and the sauce included lacked flavor. The vegetables were also very bland. I really wanted to like Olympia Tea room but I was very disappointed. I don’t think I would return here or recommend it to anyone visiting.

Always consistent when it comes to quality food & tremendous atmosphere. My favorite cocktail here is the cantaloupe martini, goes down ridiculously easy & the wife got a blood orange margarita that was equally delectable & btw, both were high potency! Menu items are all great, so it's tough to choose. I opted for the Portuguese haddock & my w8fe got the fish & chips, both were excellent & cooked perfectly. While not cheap, the portions are large & considering where you are....worth it. My only nit pick (& we come here often) is we always seem to get the one server who isn't having their best day, nothing rude of course, just not overly engaging & friendly.
Allan D — Google review
This cozy and charming restaurant is located in Watch Hill by the Yacht Club and trendy shops. The food is outstanding and our server Melissa, the past three visits was excellent, too. She is kind and friendly and makes you feel at home and welcomed. The Spinach and fresh Fruit Salad with Citrus dressing has fresh oranges and grapefruit in it along with cashews and is my favorite first course. Next, I enjoy the BEST CLAM CHOWDER in New England. Better than Boston's best restaurants. Each entree has been delicious. Being from Florida I appreciate great Key Lime Pie. The Olympia's is as good as the famous Key West recipe and Joe's in Miami Beach. We go weekly to enjoy this fabulous dessert made fresh daily with real key limes and fresh whipped cream. I have not tasted better anywhere! Not only is this a GEM of a place to have a memorable lunch or dinner, but if you time it right, you can also enjoy a beautiful sunset that will take your breath away.
Darlene B — Google review
Really enjoyed our Dinner after enjoying walk around town. Especially enjoying the clam chowder, which I enjoyed tasting everywhere on menus. We also enjoyed the zucchini Ribbons appetizer and especially the watermelon salad. The Pasta with marinara and sausage was delicious. Our waitress, Malissa was very helpful, engaged and added to making our meal memorable.
Don D — Google review
Recently ate at Olympia Tea Room with my husband during a recent weekend trip to RI. The restaurant is located in downtown Watch Hill, but unless you have a window seat or you’re sitting outside, you don’t really get much of a view of the water, if that’s something you’re looking for. The interior of the restaurant is very cool. Dark wood, very old New England. There is history in this restaurant, which we appreciated. We arrived early on a Saturday and were starving after a long day of mansion tours in Newport. We were seated promptly and got lucky with a window seat. The service, like the food, was “fine.” Not amazing, not horrible. My husband got the pizza appetizer and said it was good…we are from the NYC area, so we are pizza snobs. I had the avocado carpaccio, which was refreshing and satisfying. We both had a burger as our entree, and they were, again, fine. The bun was dry and the burger was well done when I had requested medium, but it wasn’t horrible. All this to say, the prices for food that is just “fine” are absolutely outrageous. My husband and I live right outside the culinary capital of the country, and the prices at Olympia Tea Room match those of NYC, but the quality is lacking. I understand that it’s Watch Hill, and I don’t mind paying extra for great food and service, but I’ve eaten at many excellent restaurants in wealthy parts of the Jersey shore that, while not inexpensive, deliver in both food and service and justify their prices. I feel like there is such a huge opportunity to make this an absolute knock-your-socks-off restaurant, and it’s really just missing the mark. Our table wasn’t entirely clean upon arrival, my fork was dirty, and while I know it isn’t supposed to be a “fancy” restaurant, the details are important when charging the prices that they charge. Something that rubbed me the wrong way was that there were two guests that were leaving while we were eating. One was an elderly guest with mobility issues. One of the staff members (hostess, manager, not sure…she wasn’t a server) moved out of their way, but did not take the extra step to open the door for the guest with mobility issues (they had a walker). The woman just looked at them as they left. Not a huge deal, but it doesn’t matter what type of restaurant it is…if you see an older guest (or any guest) who has trouble walking, you should hold the door open for them instead of standing near them and watching them leave. Olympia Tea Room has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, this is a one and done for us.

I'm doing this review for this summer season('25) that we were visiting Watch Hill/ Napatree. I continued to hope for a better experience each time(4 visits) we dined The Tea Room but it consistently stayed the same, unfortunately. This has been the BEST part of our summers for the past 20 years w/ our son. This year it was busy as expected and they do not take reservations so we are not surprised for a 45 min- 1 hour wait. We get a drink at the bar while we wait, sometimes a seat opens at bar, others wise we hang out to wait on our table. Each time we had a wait and each time no one wanted to serve us a drink at the bar. No greeting, no eye contact and it seemed like we were bothering them. Our last visit, the young man with his 4 friends sitting at the bar turned to me to ask if I wanted him to order a drink for my husband & I since it wasn't crazy busy but noticed the lack of service and acknowledgement of us.I said no to see if the bartenders were going to even bother to ask since they were standing around. Finally after patiently waiting we were asked what we wanted but not with hospitality. This was consistently the treatment EACH time we were there this season. If they don't want people standing to get a drink at the bar they need to tell hostesses to make customers aware of that. Then they need to take reservations! Another situation... a group of 5 of us went to put our name in for the wait and we were told we could not put our name in because they did not have room for 5people, not even given the option to wait. Shocking!! Another situation... my son's girlfriend & I were standing at bar waiting to order 3 pear martinis & a beer. We waited and waited to not only get service but JUST to be acknoweded. The man bartending WAS busy but was also chatting for awhile w/ bar customers until it took me to jump in to FINALLY get service. I was so embarrassed since I bragged how great the pear martinis were there. When we got our cocktails, no fresh pairs in any of ours as I watched other customers get a garnish. We have no problems that bar tab totaled $75.00 but for that kinda of service & the lack of. We shoulda just not gone back... So the 2 is for consistency. We get the crispy chicken over greens, pear martinis and swan. Its good, not AMAZING, always the same but not worth the treatment as if we are a bother and not wanted there. We'll get an Uber to Misquamicut next time to spend 20.00 for a martini.

Evie’s Cocktails & Comforts is a delightful gem that stands out despite its strip mall setting, featuring a vibrant interior filled with natural light and an inviting courtyard perfect for al fresco dining during warmer months. The menu boasts a variety of coast-inspired comfort foods, including classic fish-and-chips, flavorful fish tacos, creamy mac and cheese, and the savory chicken grilled gyro. Brunch enthusiasts will love the lobster Benedict as well.
Wow! The service was excellent. A shout out to Meghan and her pleasant personality. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I had a Smashed Melt with the fried onikns on the side. It was delicious and a nice sized portion. Hubby had a Gouda Burger. Others at the table had the fish Tacos and a Corned Beef Ruben. We will definitely go back.

2nd time here I ordered the southwest fiesta bowl, AWESOME! My fiancé ordered the chicken bites which were fresh and REAL hand cut chicken. ThisI is definitely our new favorite place!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Stopped in for the first time tonight for dinner. What a nice place! Love the history behind the name. They have the best, most comfortable bar chairs, EVER! The service was great. We sat at the bar and had Shea. She was great! My fiancé had a Ruben sandwich which was nice and piled high and cheesy on marble rye with hand cut fries. I had the red pepper pasta. It was delicious! The chicken cutlet was fantastic. The sauce was great with spinach and bacon! Absolutely delicious! I will order this again. Their menu had a nice variety to choose from. I must say, the place down the road use to be great but the last couple of times. You can tell that they sacrificed quality ingredients for cheaper ingredients. Looks like Evie’s will be our new Friday night dinner spot.

Visiting RI and stopped here, super cool interior and cool story. Seems to be a loved local place. Good portions of typical summer favorites. Truffle fries and sweet potato fries were good. Brussel sprouts were the winner of the meal. Fried seafood was not bad, creme brûlée was a little bitter due to the sugar on top but still solid. Friendly service. Nice place to stop by.
Aurora W — Google review
The service at the restaurant was great very friendly and attentive. However, I was disappointed with the fish and chips. The fish was super oily and had way too much breading, which took away from the actual flavor of the fish. The fries were just as greasy and didn’t have much seasoning, so they ended up tasting pretty bland. However, my honest opinion is that the portion size was good, and everything came out hot, which was nice, but the heaviness of the dish made it hard to enjoy. If you really like fried food, you might like it, but I prefer something less oily and more balanced. While the staff made the experience pleasant, I wouldn’t order this dish again. Thank you

We have been visiting Rhode Island for many years now as one of our summer family vacations and stay about a mile from Evie's. We had never visited here opting for more of the seafood beach scene or cooking at the house, but this place is now on the "foodie list". We stopped for lunch before leaving for home and were highly impressed with everything. The vibe is super friendly, the service was super and the food was beyond expectations. My daughter asked for a pasta dish which was only on the dinner menu, and they were happy to make it at lunch time. It was incredible. Both my meal and my wife's were awesome and our guest had breakfast which was also amazing. I would highly recommend Evie's and its definitely not our last visit here!

The Andrea Seaside Restaurant and Beach Bar is a beloved waterfront hangout known for its relaxed atmosphere, simple seafood dishes, and cocktails. Originally the Andrea Hotel, this iconic landmark suffered damage from Superstorm Sandy in 2012. It offers a family-friendly dining experience with live music and delicious food right on the beach. The restaurant boasts a patio with ocean views, making it an ideal spot for enjoying dinner, drinks, or special occasions.
This afternoon we found our travels took us to Westerly, RI. We had spent the previous day driving to East Providence to begin our search of the Trolls in Rhode Island, we saw 2 yesterday and then this morning we saw 2 more in Charleston at Ninigret Park. Lunch time in Westerly at Andrea Restaurant. We were welcomed with a big smile and hello. seated under canopy with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. staff was very attentive and super friendly. My wife ordered Fish and chips, I opted for the baked scallops. while enjoying a drink we were taking in the great views over the water and beach. Food arrive and we both were taken back by the size of the portions, the fish and chips took all of the platter sized plate they were served on. My scallops were done to perfection (at least for me), not dried out and coated with a tasty breaded mix. the scallops were plentiful along with the seasoned green beans and mashed potatoes. EXCELLENT. My wife said just about the same for her dish, the fish breaded lightly and fish was juicy and very tasty. I noticed as the place began to fill, many patrons were greeted with hugs and big hellos, I thinking many of those are locals and repeat customers. nice vibe and good food along with super friendly staff makes Andrea's a must stop. two thumbs up.

Excellent sunny day spot. The view and vibe are awesome. The server was as pleasant as can be, and it was above 90 degrees. The food is well made and fresh. The only reason for four stars is because it takes truly exceptional flavors and preparation. The food was good but not 5 star good. Everyone but the most picky eater will be very happy but no one will be blown away. We went on a very sunny day and sat on the open deck with tarp covering. Great view, comfy seats, not pushed together.

It’s THEE spot to go to after a hot day at the beach. I couldn’t believe how huge the fish in the Fish & Chips was… it was GINORMOUS, and exceptionally delicious, and for $23?! The location also overlooks the water, so you have a nice cool breeze blowing as you eat. Lastly, the staff were friendly and fast with their service. I will definitely be back!

This is my second time to Andrea‘s and it’s a great location right by the ocean. You can grab a quick cocktail or refreshing drink when you’re sitting on the beach. Or you can have a great dinner with family or date night with amazing cocktails, cocktails, appetizers, like the thingbang shrimp and my most favorite is their lobster roll that is overflowing with lobster and hot butter.

Hidden gem on the beach in westerly! Had cocktails and food before walking up the beach to Paddy’s for live music. Service and food here is very good. The ocean views and beachside experience is one of the best in RI. So nice walking on beach steps away from the bar. Nice people and a great vibe! Recommend eating here and having cocktails then walking up the beach at night to Paddy’s for live music on the beach. It’s about a 1/2 mile or so and so relaxing, especially at night with the waves rolling in.

I had a wonderful dinner here with some of my best friends last week. We made a reservation in advance and were sat outside right by the beach and it was the perfect outdoor dining scene. Our waitress was super nice and made great recommendations. We kicked off with a pitcher of drinks, some stuffies, and fried clams. I decided to get a whole lobster because it’s been a while and I can confirm it was DELISH. We split dessert and I highly recommend getting the s’mores, it’s such a fun experience. Will be back soon for more seafood and relaxing vibes.

Growing up on the south shore of eastern Long Island me and my wife do appreciate a nice beach bar and this one checks all the boxes , it’s in a prime location with a amazing view and plenty of beach access . It also has a nice selection of different types of seating with outdoor and semi indoor tenting . Service was fantastic and attentive, the food was above board for a beach bar. I had the Andrea house salad topped with shredded jerk chicken and my wife had a balsamic pesto chicken salad . Both were awesome , plenty of alcohol and NA drinks . This place at worth the stop if your in Westerly and looking for a beach side hang out that isn’t too wild and leans towards the family side .

The steak had way too much garlic. The waitress argued with the hostess not to put anyone in her section. Even though we could hear her and only say where we were told and never requested to be anywhere in particular.

Nestled right on the stunning Misquamicut beach, Maria's Seaside Cafe is a true gem for seafood lovers and Italian cuisine enthusiasts alike. With over 25 years of experience delighting locals and visitors, this family-owned establishment offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like home. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering dishes, from house-made pasta to fresh seafood options like Cioppino and pan-seared sea scallops.
Maria's has always held a special place in our hearts. It's been our favorite vacation spot to eat every summer since 2018, and it was the first place that brought us a sense of normalcy once things began to open after Covid. On Memorial Day weekend my husband and I reserved a room at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary. My daughter put it best when she said, "Mom, I'm so happy for you. You've always wanted to stay at Maria's." When we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite on the fourth floor. I can't thank Maria's enough for this wonderful surprise! If you're looking for a beautiful place to stay, and incredible food, I highly recommend Maria's. An added bonus is Maria's staff - they are genuinely kind and very attentive.

A Wonderful & Nostalgic Experience This hotel holds a timeless charm, offering both nostalgia and elegance. The oceanfront restaurant is beautifully upscale, and the staff consistently go above and beyond—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which truly elevates the entire experience. My husband and I first visited for a quiet getaway and loved every moment. We later returned with a group of 10 family members, and again with just our daughter. Whether sitting at the bar, taking in the view from a high-top, or dining at a table, the service was always exceptional and the meals never disappointed. Each visit felt just as special as the first—an experience we’ll keep coming back for.

Maria's menu has improved greatly by offering much more creative options. Have never had a bad meal here. Lately the Seafood Burrata is amazing appetizer. The pasta is very good. For steak lovers the best choice would be the Hanger Steak. I've had it medium rare and it's been very tender. Obviously the red pasta sauces are very tasty.

I want to start by saying that the service was fantastic. She was very friendly and on top of anything we needed. We were given bread with an absolutely delicious olive oil dip! The main course was not great. I ordered a chicken parm and it tasted like my college age children could have made it better. It had absolutely no flavor and the worst part was that it was $29. I also ordered a salad that said it would have heirloom tomatoes. I maybe had one and a half cut grape tomatoes in it. I couldn't believe it! My husband ordered Nonna Francesca's Pappardalle that supposedly had homemade noodles and he said the same, there was no flavor to it and they did not taste homemade at all and that dish was $31! It's a great location and the people obviously have a wonderful history in the town but I would never return for the food, especially for what they are charging.

I had a great dinner at Maria’s tonight with a few friends, and I highly recommend it. The views from our table were impressive, and the atmosphere struck a nice balance between modern and coastal. We started with some cucumber martinis, which were refreshing. For appetizers, we tried the burrata, oysters Rockefeller, and a spinach and beet salad. Everything tasted fresh and was perfect for sharing. For our main courses, we went with the swordfish and penne alla fiorantina. The swordfish was cooked perfectly, and the pasta was delicious. To finish off, we had espresso martinis and a few desserts: key lime pie, pistachio cannolis, and a standout banana Napoleon that was exceptional. The service was also top-notch. Our server, Adam, was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We also met Landen, the manager, who was professional and welcoming throughout our time there. If you’re in the area, Maria’s is definitely worth checking out!

We absolutely loved our dinner at Maria's Seaside Cafe. We are locals and often hesitate to visit Misquamicut during high season, but we have no regrets at all! The bar and restaurant were buzzing and busy, but it was not overwhelming, it was a good vibe. The environment and decor is comfortable and stylish. The food was very good, much elevated from casual beach fare. And lastly, the hostess and waitress were both great! We will definitely be back and actually look forward to visiting during the off-season too!

Dined on the 4th floor ("The Sunset Club"), a beautiful and intimate spot overlooking the ocean. Drinks, service, and food were all outstanding. Next time we're in the neighborhood, we'll be back!

Windjammer Surf Bar is a surfing-themed sports bar that offers a seafood menu and an oceanfront patio with stunning views. The venue serves delicious seafood dishes, salads, wings, and burgers. During the summer, guests can experience live music and dancing on the terrace by the beach.
I had the calamari and smashed burger ( I forgot the name). Firstly, the calamari: life changing. It was recommend by one of the very nice hostess and the fries and burger were absolutely delicious. I was very satisfied with my meal and the service, great hospitality. The music was also a lovely touch, will definitely be coming again.

This was our 1st time ever in RI this was the 1st place we stopped to eat. We got sat on the deck. The view was great, nice breeze. However we sat at our high top table with servers passing us by for a good while. Not even speaking, a training server (Annie) was amazing. She came to greet us, told us she was training but would find our server. Came back told us she would be our server. Her 1st table of her own. She made this not so great start to an awesome one. Annie needs to be the trainer. Needless to say we gave her a 30.5% tip in cash in her hands. Thank you Annie for being a rock star!

I got the clam chowder, asian chili wings, and Mahi fried tacos, along with a dragonfruit margarita. Everything was delicious! Service was great, but the best thing is the view!! Literally right on the ocean! If you are from out of town and want a gorgeous seaside dinner, I highly recommend!

This isn’t fine dining—it’s comfort food done right, and I absolutely love it! The oceanfront location is unbeatable, with a chill, fun vibe that keeps me coming back. There’s usually live music, the drinks are great, and the whole experience is just easygoing and enjoyable. One of my favorite spots, hands down!

The calamari was good, a bit spicy before the dip sauce. Very crispy. The main courses weren't good. Ordered a skirt steak and frites... got a sirloin cooked med rare. My spouse's fish and chips was burnt, fries were good. Coleslaw tasted bad. Probably not coming back. Staff was good

My go to beach bar for live music, good drinks and bar food. So fun to sit at the bar, chairs along the Seawall or sit on the beach. There’s also tables and a bar indoors. Go for lunch or whole afternoon. Parking is $20 & fills up fast. Staff is friendly & attentive. Live music on patio summer afternoons & indoors in evenings. You can also bring your dog & enjoy a treat off puppy menu. Pick your day though cuz not much shade & can be crowded. New adds Summer 2025 - Baked Potato bar and creative milkshakes.

My sisters took me for my bachelorette weekend, and the staff was so sweet and congratulatory. They even offered me a free shot! The dinner was delicious and the service was great, can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Westerly!

Watch Hill Lighthouse, located in the picturesque seaside community of Watch Hill in Westerly, Rhode Island, has been a prominent feature of the landscape since its construction in 1807 under President Thomas Jefferson's orders. This historic lighthouse is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Westerly and the ocean. Visitors can experience the thrill of spotting ships from afar as they approach the shores.
We were here on a windy day and a sudden discovery. The road to the lighthouse shows up as a private road so we parked on the main road and walked down to the light house. However we did see cars drive in and out the road . Lots of beautiful and big mansions when you walk by. It was so beautiful, and was windy enough which made clicking pictures difficult . The high tide and the wind made the waves look so beautiful. Couldn’t stay long as to enjoy them. If you go down the road you will see a row of shops and beaches to sit at also. But it was closed as it was still cold. Definitely worth visiting.
Suparna B — Google review
The place is beautiful and has nicely maintained grounds. It is a good place to watch the sunset. The downside is that there is no place to park. The road to the lighthouse is narrow, so the only option is to walk around a mile.
Arif S — Google review
Beautiful. A bit of a walk unless you are elderly you can drive in. Grounds are well kept. Views are incredible from every point on the property. Just lovely. NO bathrooms anywhere near by. You have to go to center of town to find one.
Cas — Google review
Nicely groomed grounds, plenty of green grass to walk the kids and dogs; beautiful ocean views; clear views of Napatree, Block Island, Stonington, and Taylor Swift's mansion. Can even see Long Island on a clear day. Between Memorial Day thru Labor Day, must be 65+y.o. to drive to the lighthouse; can always do free street parking at the Watch Hill business area down the block and walk to the lighthouse.
Jerry C — Google review
Came here on a weekday after Labor Day. It’s a 10-minute walk from Bay Street to the lighthouse. Limited parking and a security guard at the entrance since it’s a residential area. However, handicap permits allow easier access by car.
Brian M — Google review
The lighthouse is situated between the Atlantic ocean and the Block Island sound. You get picturesque views and smashing waves. The lighthouse is accessible through a street which is easily walkable. Handicap and seniors are allowed to take the car up to the lighthouse. There was no lighthouse tour.
Divya G — Google review
Nice lighthouse. Parking can be quite cumbersome and you have to walk in to it from Main Street unless you are 65 or older then you can drive down. Nice view of Taylor Swift’s house.
Tanya W — Google review
Beautiful lighthouse and worth the effort to see Note the entrance gate does not have a sign to it and you have to park elsewhere and walk up to unless you are over 62 then the guard will let you drive down the narrow bush line road to a limited parking area.
