Ski resort
Alpe Tognola is a must-visit destination in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza. The cable car provides access to panoramic trekking paths suitable for both experts and children, with the option to enjoy traditional dishes at the 2200-meter refuge. Downhill enthusiasts can experience the descents of the San Martino Bike Arena, featuring four trails of increasing difficulty. The establishment offers helpful staff and locker storage for belongings.
Gorgeous area. Parking gets full, but there is plenty of space on the slopes. Beautiful views and great food at the lodges. The après-ski was so fun.

A good resort. Part of the Dolomite Super Ski zone. Great open space, with large sweeping blues. There are some trickier reds too, and some good bar restaurants to take breaks at. A pretty good snow park to mess around in as well.
Andy B — Google review
Beautiful place with breathtaking views!! Highly recommended!
Tetiana K — Google review
Staff at the center is helpful, and you can even leave your belongings in locker storage if you must. Saw a few complaints from other reviewers about it being overly commercial, but I don’t mind. I actually find it comforting that the mountain is organized so well, and is safe to enjoy with staff prepared for any need. Bathrooms were pretty big, which is great because sometimes you can carry a lot of stuff when traveling. Lots of info available at info/ticket counter and staff was very helpful and kind, and nice to foreigners.
Isabelle M — Google review
Great resort for intermediate skiers. A good selection of red and blue slopes and not to many blacks
Marc W — Google review
Great place to ski and the rental place is right below the lifts at this particular run....they are all connected but you can start here if you have rentals or are not that good and don't want to take cross runs to other parts of the mountain

Parco delle Marmotte is a nice playground for children, and the restaurant teracce with the view to the 3000m peaks around is fabulous.

San Martino Bike Arena

San Martino Bike Arena offers an amazing experience for both adults and kids. You can explore the routes of the Agility Forest Adventure Park and the Bike Arena, as well as enjoy fun play areas with your children. Many visitors have had a thrilling time experiencing downhill biking for the first time, even with their kids. The initial fear gives way to an exhilarating feeling, making it a memorable experience. It's recommended to wear proper protective clothing while enjoying this adventure.
Awesome bike park! Maybe not the best one for beginners or the biggest, but they have a new trail that is fun and the Thriller + Back in black are super fun for experienced riders. This park has the most beautiful views in any bike park we have been! ⭐️ We rented bikes close to the gondola (small house behind the lift station) and got great service from Ruben 🙌 Bikes in good conditions and quick service.

Nice Bike Park mainly for DH riding with two routes - old and new build in 2024. On side there is dirt park.

Amazing experience! Did downhill for the first time, together with my 2 children (14 and 17 years). The first time is quite scary, but after that you can go completely crazy, beautiful! Been down 5 times in half a day. Good protection with clothing. Until next time!

Review for rental service only: The bicycles are awful, very poor quality. They're super heavy and they're held together with sticky tape. The pedals were loose, the tyres were totally over used, brakes were so soft you could pull all the way and the bike will not slow down, not to mention the constant noise the breaks make bcz they're not even balanced. There are much better ways to spend your 66 euros (each) around town. The track itself it's very nice though, not for inexperienced riders.

Nestled in the heart of San Martino di Castrozza, Pizzeria Ristorante Sass Maor is a delightful family-run establishment that has quickly become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, this charming eatery offers a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can unwind and enjoy delicious homemade cuisine. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, even accommodating your furry friends!
This place is incredible!!! It became our family’s absolute favorite restaurant to stop for dinner in San Martino area. Every single dish we tried was exceptionally delicious. And the selection of dishes… Pizzas, pastas, main dishes, salads, desserts, drinks… Oh my! Their house wine is amazing too! And they serve absolutely THE BEST TIRAMISU in the whole Italy(we traveled a lot and I never tried tiramisu like here). Atmosphere inside is nice and quiet, easy to talk. The place is kids friendly. And the service is excellent, helpful and friendly! It feels like home! I highly recommend this restaurant! 10 stars!
Tetiana K — Google review
We went to this restaurant to have a good meal and have some good pasta... Huge disappointment, both from the service and the food. Only pizza and lasagna on offer,.. oh my, vegetable soup, nothing else!!! And they nailed it when they brought us food in paper boxes!!! They may make pizza here, but the lasagna was disgusting and burnt, hard!!!
Aleš T — Google review
Great food, great service, good prices. We were a group of 7 people, we were all very happy to eat here during our stay. We had pizza, pasta, local wine and tiramisu. All was delicious!

Just one of the best pizzas I've ever had! Great service and stuff, brilliant food, cozy and warm atmosphere. We recommend making a reservation ahead - it was full and lot of people were waiting to get a table (it really is that good haha! ).
Bianka K — Google review
We were out skiing and sledding and all that and by the time we were hungry, most places were closed…we called the restaurant to confirm they were open, and we were able to order over the phone. We got there, and we were served quite promptly. The family owners are very nice and we were even able to bring our small dog in. This food was the best experience eating out in the area. Maybe because I was tired, the place was warm, the staff welcoming, whatever the reason was… I enjoyed eating here.

Atmosphere: old hut Service: 5/5 Drinks: 4.5/5 Value for money: 4.5/5 In the town center, suggested by locals as easy place for good food and to try local stuff. Excellent service, they really made us feel super welcome. We enjoyed a tagliere dolomiti and two pizza, together with water and 4 beers. Total bill 67.50€ (33 p.p.). Recommended! 👍

I spent a week in San Martino di Castrozza and had a chance to have meals in several local restaurants. This is the one I kept coming back to. Family run, with authentic home made food and always a smile. Pizza was great on both occasions. I regret having tried the typical courses only on the last night, I would have come back for more.

Had pizza here on the last day of our holiday. All 6 we were very satisfied and I want to say one of the best pizza of 3 weeks Italy. Staff is very friendly, the cook comes by if everything is good. Nicely decorated, clean toilets and they are nice to our dog. We will definitely come here again next year!

Ristorante Albergo Centrale is a gorgeous dining establishment with a welcoming staff and pristine surroundings. The cuisine offered is exceptional, featuring delicious dishes from the traditional Trentino region. The panoramic view from the dining room is truly remarkable. One cannot miss trying their impeccable venison tartare. The family-operated restaurant prides itself on providing excellent service, with the staff always being courteous and attentive.
Great place in the heart of San Martino. The views are beautiful, the atmosphere nice and quiet. All the food was good, they have a great selection of different appetizers, first and main dishes, many local delicacies, wine, beer and desserts. Service was excellent, waiters helpful and friendly.

Very disappointing. I ordered lamb chops. They were hard and the potatoes were burnt. In addition they tried to charge for more. After I complained. They gave a 10% discount. Very not recommended.

I ordered tomahawk. It was really small, not so good, very disappointing. Came with burned potatoes i could not eat. Very expensive for nothing... Not recommend!!!

very traditional quaint mountain style restaurant. Gluten free pasta and risotto were available and they were knowledgeable about gluten free menu items and avoiding cross-contamination. Was very tasty! We had risotto funghi porcini, gluten free tagliate pomodoro, polenta funghi and a panna cotta. Service was good, but very serious!!! nice view of mountains at the back.

We've expected a bit more from this place. Unfortunately, it is not a fully pleasant experience. The first issue occurred while getting drinks. My husband clearly ordered a birra moretti rossa. The waitress took an order without any comment, but she brough already opened alcohol free moretti, expaining that its the only one they have. She should have asked if he's fine with a free one before forcing to serve it. When it came to starters, we wanted to order venison tartare, but it was not available, so we took beef one. Unfortunately it wasn't the best tartare ever. Meet was fresh, but besides that, it wasn't seasoned at all, served with in a very '80s style, so we didn't even bother to take a pic. Definitely unpleasant experience. Pasta was very good, though. We've had a venison ragu and porcini ravioli, both strong, 4.5/5. Another problem was disco/pop music in the venue, which didn't fit at all to the decor and atmosphere of the interior (retro, hunting, wooden, very beautiful). Overall, it wasn't bad, but we wouldn't come back again.
Milena D — Google review
Great food. The kitchen is really splendid and creative. The service is very professional and efficiënt. But it would be nice if they look at you when talking to you and maybe a little smile. Or ask if everything is oke.
Jan R — Google review
(Translated by Google) The restaurant service was brisk. The place wasn't awful, but it wasn't pleasant either, with furnishings and tablecloths that made the atmosphere feel heavy. The rice arrived in two minutes, perhaps precooked, and that in itself says a lot about the quality of the cuisine. The worst, however, was the polenta with mushrooms: they were extremely bitter. When I commented, the owner didn't apologize, but replied that "they weren't to my liking" and that "others eat them without complaining." What kind of response is that? It's unacceptable in a restaurant that they don't even know what type of mushrooms they're serving or where they come from. The prices are in line with the area, but completely disproportionate to the quality of the dishes. (Original) Servizio ristorante sbrigativo.

(Translated by Google) I'm sorry but for me it's a big no. My dish was forgotten and arrived an hour later, the other dish basically a few cheese 8 slices and a little speck 8 slices approximately (30€) excessive. The cutlery taken away twice without the care of being given back. Also I think that after all that waiting they should have at least offered a coffee. I don't recommend it excessively expensive.
