Sea World is an oceanographic theme park that offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. Guests can watch polar bears at Polar Bear Shores, observe tropical fish and sharks in the world's largest man-made shark lagoon, and even touch rays at Ray Reef. The park also features entertaining seal presentations and live dolphin shows.
This location seems to be an excellent choice for families, providing a range of attractions such as rides, seal and dolphin shows, stingray encounters, and numerous complimentary activities. Although certain experiences necessitate payment, the admission cost allows for an enjoyable visit even with the free offerings. For families, bringing your own beverages and snacks could potentially lead to significant savings. You need to go early for the car park It is highly recommended.

I had an amazing time with the kids, watching their faces light up as they saw dolphins perform for the first time. My kids were full of excitement exploring the penguin exhibit and learning about marine life in a fun, hands-on way. The kids were thrilled to interact so closely with the animals. The rides and shows kept everyone engaged, creating a perfect mix of adventure and education. It was a joyful and memorable day, filled with laughter, learning, and shared moments of wonder by the sea.
Karma D — Google review
We had a really good time at Sea World! The park is clean, well maintained, and easy to get around. The seal and dolphin shows were definitely the highlight entertaining, informative, and beautifully done. It was lovely to see how well the animals are cared for. The only downside was the food options there were very limited vegan and vegetarian choices, which made it a bit tricky to find something suitable for lunch. Hopefully, they can expand their plant-based menu in the future. Overall, a great experience for families and anyone who enjoys marine life and fun shows!
Sanjula — Google review
Spent the day at SeaWorld recently, and enjoyed it. Liked all the shows, especially the dolphin one! Was grateful that they had a proper sit-down restaurant that served health food. My husband and I both had the bowl each. which was as delicious as it was nutritious 😋 We were disappointed with the water ski show though. Gone were the impressive multi-acrobatic moves. All we saw this time was a show between two rival gangs and some boring stunts. We also did the helicopter ride. The 10 minute deal is the best in my opinion. The pilot was very informative; he doubled up as the tour guide Overall SeaWorld was a great experience 😃
Katy G — Google review
Had the best time at Sea World! Every ride was so much fun and well worth the wait. Loved the dolphin shows they were amazing! The place was clean, well-organized, and perfect for all ages. Truly one of the best theme parks I’ve been to. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast!
Manjil P — Google review
Loved it! A shame the dolphin show isn't available at the moment. Fortunately we caught the last day. Our two year old grandson had a blast on the Junior rides. Wait time was reasonable. Staff were pleasant and helpful when asked for assistance. The app allows you to know what time each show is on. Highly recommend visiting if you are on the Gold Coast.
Paula C — Google review
Absolutely loved our visit!! We got to see every show and ride every ride we wanted to with minimal wait times. No missing the shows because you were waiting 60 plus minutes for a ride like movieworld. So many grass spots to eat, so many food options, eve low gluten. The park has been done up and is so true to the theme. The rides are fantastic. The staff are so efficient and friendly. Can safely say this was our favourite theme park and we love SeaWorld!!!
Natasha M — Google review
Sea World on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for families with kids. It’s incredibly family-friendly, and there’s something fun for everyone. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole park feels safe and well-managed. The dolphin show and stunt performances were absolutely unforgettable – both entertaining and impressive! Every attraction we tried was fun and engaging, from the animal exhibits to the rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend the day with your family. Highly recommended!

Broadwater Parklands is a sprawling park located just a short drive north of Surfers Paradise. It spans three kilometers along the Southport foreshore and offers various attractions for visitors of all ages. The marine-themed water play area is a highlight, featuring fountains, water jets, and artificial waterfalls that provide entertainment for toddlers as well as older children. Additionally, the park boasts picnic areas with BBQ grills, walking paths, and even a beach across the Gold Coast Seaway.
Beautiful place to be! Lovely beach with shallow waters perfect for wading. Always the Gold Coast Marathon weekend event area annually, and always a lovely area to bring the family. Really accessible by tram (Southport station), bus, and even ferry just on the jetty here! The Aquatic Centre is here too. Love the picturesque Broadwater Parklands!

Nice and quiet good place for the whole family. Plenty of things to do and see. Wheelchair friendly paths, and they have a liberty swing here as well. Well maintained area. Toilets are close by. Wonderful beaches as well. Plenty of parking space but it's paid parking. Nice and easy paths to walk on. Highly recommend going to have a look at 😊😊.

This is our family’s favourite park on the Gold Coast! Our kids absolutely love it! there’s always a great variety of activities to enjoy. The park is beautifully maintained, clean, and perfect for families, kids, or anyone looking to relax or stay active outdoors. I also love that my favourite cafe, Barrel Espresso, is right there, it makes every visit even better! Kudos to the Gold Coast Council for doing such an amazing job keeping the park safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
Elaine B — Google review
This park is definitely a paradise for kids who love playgrounds because you can literally name all kinds of playground equipments here including the rare ones I’ve never seen before. Moreover, there’s even a water park called Aqua Park but you need to buy a ticket for that, which isn’t free. Or you can just build sandcastles and play with water on the river beach. On the other hand, I saw a bunch of people having great picnics on the BBQ areas and simply on the grass. There are tiny lodges with benches where you can lay down and relax as if you’re in a sauna, and a large pier that has long benches with the most magnificent views and it’s also a ferry stop and great fishing spot. It has a decent number of pubic toilets in the park and if you are hungry, there’s a seafood restaurant and an espresso shop. The welcome sign near the front gate which is made of grass and flowers looks amazing and memorable. If you are taking the light rail, I suggest you disembark at Southport instead of Broadwater Parklands because there are much more shops and restaurants near Southport station. To top it off, the park is much bigger and more versatile than I imagined. It’s absolutely an excellent place for both adults and children to visit.

Great park for families with kids. A lot of rides and activities for kids. Toilet & bathroom facilities available on spot. Electric bbq’s are also available at the parkland.

A lovely park with picnic tables, & children's playground areas with water features, handy to Australia Fair Shopping Centre in Southport, SE QLD. Public transport is nearby also. Beautiful family of black swans enjoying the park too! 😊

Broadwater Parklands is such a great place to spend the day. Super open, peaceful, and right by the water. There’s always space to walk, have a picnic, or just chill under the trees. It’s also perfect for kids — there’s a big playground area where they can run around and have fun. The views of the Broadwater are beautiful, especially in the late afternoon. Families, runners, kids on scooters — it’s got a little bit of everything. Clean, safe, and just a really nice vibe overall.

Situated in the scenic Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast, GC Aqua Park is an expansive inflatable water park offering endless excitement for visitors of all ages. This family-friendly destination features thrilling water slides, entertaining obstacles, and vast inflatable playgrounds against a backdrop of beautiful beaches. Open year-round, it provides an accessible and budget-friendly option for creating cherished memories with loved ones.
A must-visit attraction! We had so much fun — absolutely worth it! Book the 100-minute session, it’s the best value for money. Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your session to allow time for check-in and parking (there’s parking nearby, but you’ll need a few extra minutes to walk over). Overall, this is an amazing activity for families and friends. Thank you to the GCAP team for such a great experience! 👏
Marcela N — Google review
Lots of fun for wide range of ages. There is a separate area for smaller kids and toddlers. You willneed to be mindful that there are sessions that are about 50min each. You will need rubber grip socks which you can purchase at the venue. You will also be fitted with a life jacket. For the parents there is a coffee station with snacks. Lifesavers are present. There are also lockers available for your valuables. Please also be aware that you need to sign a waiver for any participants. Can be done online from website. Use sunblock on arms and face, it gets hot out there.
Colin P — Google review
Epic aqua park! The best water obstacle course we have ever seen. Easy to purchase passes and grippy socks and play away. Friendly, helpful staff and very safe. My kids had a blast!
Laura M — Google review
Sheeeeesh. I am still outta breath. A few things that were stated you’ll need were stamina and strength, 2 things I have nothing of. My kids however, smashed it. I “had to” do it as well as a parent as the youngest refused to do the junior park so I followed her around for 100 minutes. We booked 2 sessions and loved every chaffing/nipple rash (due to the life jacket) minutes of it. A must visit if you have the time.

We absolutely love GC Aqua Park! We bought the summer pass and come every weekend — it’s the highlight of our week. The setup is awesome, the staff are always friendly and make sure everyone’s having fun safely, and the atmosphere is just great. It’s such a good way to get outdoors, burn some energy, and have a laugh with family and friends. Highly recommend the summer pass — totally worth it!

Experience It was really engaging with different obstacle courses with many different level of difficulty for different age groups Atmosphere There was a lot of people at the time, there was music playing in the background, on the clean ocean water and sand. Service Life guards were nice, the staff members were really friendly, helpful and helped us understand the safety briefing

When I say we had the best time what I mean by that is WE HAD THE BEST TIME! Budget friendly, kid friendly, EVERYTHING friendly. We drove past on our way home from theme parks and my 11 year old just had to try it. We booked online for the next day even pre signed the waiver. All we had to do was show up on time. We will be back from Sunday just to do this again!
Amy E — Google review
Beware!!!! Terrible, the WORST for events. Hectic as we had paid for a birthday event which sadly does not care to create a space for any event to set up, clean & prepare for a next event. The table next to ours was unclean, as if a garbage bag of waste was left on it during their table hire. We downgraded the size of our table to avoid being next to that rubbish which impacted the space for our guests not being able to sit during their table hire party. Beyond awkward to host and apologise for its duration. We feel sorry for the staff that adjustments have not been made by management. Such a shame.

Day 2

Southeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to SkyPoint Observation Deck. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Shopping
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is a massive retail destination located in the heart of the Gold Coast, near Jupiter's Hotel and Casino. It features an extensive range of brand-name department stores, boutiques, services, and dining options. The center also includes Australia's first purpose-built outlet shopping precinct within a major regional shopping center. Visitors can find great bargains from renowned brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Nike, and more.
One of the most beautiful shopping malls in Gold Coast. It offers a great variety of stores, including well-known brands, and a large food court. Easy access and plenty of parking. It also has a lovely outdoor area. I highly recommend it!
Aldana — Google review
Such a fun shopping centre. Very pretty and has lots of shops to explore. There is a good variety of shops inside and the food court has great food. The atmosphere is great and the security is always walking around making sure everyone is safe. There is a valet parking with cool cars.
Ambie 1 — Google review
What an amazing shopping centre on the Gold Coast. Everything and more for all ages. A food court to suit all tastes. Wish the UK had the vision to create this in all cities. If you haven't already visited then do so.
Melanie — Google review
This is the most extensive shopping centre in Gold Coast that you might even get lost and your feet could also get sore. Therefore, if you visit here for the first time, I highly recommend you search for their centre map and screenshot it and see it whenever you are not certain. Despite all of that, this place is definitely a must see for tourists because of its spectacular architecture and diversity of shops and restaurants. Even the residents who live in Gold Coast such as my grandparents come here on a daily basis. The outdoor area in the core, which is accessible from the front entrance (Hooker Blvd), is just mesmerising and magnificent to see, especially in sunny days with blue sky. There are 2 different food courts, one is just food court (Northeast, which is near the tram station), and the other is The Patio (south end of the outdoor area), and both of them are on first floor. Moreover, there are like all kinds of local chain supermarkets and department stores except for Aldi. If you are looking for rarer Apple products or accessories, JB Hi-Fi is probably the best option because there isn’t Apple Store here. The only Apple Store in Gold Coast is in Robina Town Centre. In terms of transportation, the parking lots are quite sufficient even on the roof floor. The best option for travellers is to take G Link tram to Broadbeach South (South terminal station as of 2025), get off, walk for a moment, and you can see the PF.
Porex P — Google review
Amazing architecture. You wouldn't believe it's a mall. It was like a resort style. A massive mall with heaps of high-ends luxury stores. When you get tired you can just sit or lay on the sun bed and relax. A lovely place to visit, look around and shop.
Jellie M — Google review
This shopping centre is spread out and makes for an enjoyable experience shopping here. Quite relaxing and stress free. Many shops to choose from to satisfy all. Allow plenty of time to see it all and to enjoy a bite to eat & drink. Plenty of parking spaces for those who have a car, & an easy walk from Broadbeach. Well worth visiting Pacific Fair.
Debbie S — Google review
The Gold Coast’s best known shopping mall, located near the beach and tram station in Broadbeach. Featuring a huge selection of stores from Target to Tiffany, Kmart to Kool Kids. Choose your adventure, with Prada, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Dior, Chanel, Tiffany, Keihls, Omega, Rolex, TAG Heuer, Urbbana, Saint Laurent, Zara, RM Williams, David Jones, H&M, Uniqlo, JD Sport, Johnny Bigg and Elite Eleven. and many more. Drop in to local favourite The Coffee Club or Soul Origin. Too many stores for one list. // Enjoy two family friendly food courts for budget dining, or an extravagant restaurant. Get fit at one of three gyms. Go people watching by the cafe or the resort waterway sun beds. Do your grocery shopping at Coles or Woolworths, alongside independent fruit shops, butchers, and supporting retailers. Stay cool in the air conditioning or venture outdoors to the sunshine. Multilevel basement and above ground parking, a bus station on site, and a short walk to the tram station/ light rail.

It is a beautiful place to visit My family and I enjoyed visiting this place The open space is fabulous and the shop ranges are also great One the best highlight of this place is the availability of multiple resting areas for the shoppers. Observation Decks & Towers
Located on the 77th and 78th levels of the Q1 building, SkyPoint Observation Deck offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Gold Coast and its hinterland. As Australia's only beachside observation deck, it stands at a remarkable height of 230 meters. Visitors can take in the stunning scenery through high-power binoculars and visual displays that highlight key points of interest in the region.
My family and I went on a weekday morning. There’s an option to enjoy the buffet breakfast with the view – we didn’t do it, but we still really enjoyed the whole experience. I recommend buying tickets online before you go. On the official website it’s $33 per person, but I found them through a sponsored Google Maps link for only $21 per person. The view is amazing! On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there’s a whale-watching counter set up between around 11 am and 1 pm (until the end of October). Staff even lend you binoculars so you can try spotting whales from the SkyPoint. Definitely worth it if you’re visiting the Gold Coast!
Hoi L — Google review
Zoomed to the top in seconds — the lift was impressively quick! Once you're up there, the 360° view of the Gold Coast is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall good vibe. However, it felt a bit pricey for just the observation deck, especially since there's no additional attraction included and no concession price for students. That said, there’s a restaurant and bar upstairs if you want to make more of your visit. Great spot for first-time visitors or anyone wanting a bird’s-eye view of the city!
Hadi H — Google review
Our recent family excursion to Sky Point provided an exceptional experience. The panoramic vistas from the 77th floor were truly awe-inspiring, and we were pleased to discover that the coffee and food prices were surprisingly reasonable. Contrary to our initial expectations, the cost was comparable to that of a standard restaurant, which was a pleasant surprise. The breathtaking scenery, coupled with the rapid elevator service, contributed to a memorable and gratifying experience. We anticipate revisiting Sky Point on our next trip.
Lee — Google review
SkyPoint was absolutely worth visiting! The 360° views of the coastline, city, and hinterland are stunning — especially around sunset. It’s such a great spot to take photos and really appreciate how beautiful the Gold Coast is. There’s also a nice café and bar at the top, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy the view a bit longer. The staff were friendly, and the elevator ride up was super fast. Highly recommend adding this to your Gold Coast itinerary!
Maitri P — Google review
Amazing tower. We have tall building in Melbourne but not that nice. This one is so much better. We were there for night dining but still need to pay to get up there so that make dinner very expensive. But still good were great we enjoyed very much! Nice cake too!
KABAOTTO E — Google review
SkyPoint is a must-visit attraction, Especially if you’re chasing those magical sunset views over the Gold Coast. The timing of your visit makes a big difference, as the crowds tend to build up in the late afternoon leading into sunset. When we arrived at around 4:30pm on a weekday, it was already quite busy, with plenty of visitors waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon and capture that perfect photo. 📷 One thing worth noting is that seating can be a bit of a challenge. The seats near the windows are in high demand, as everyone wants the best vantage point for both the views and the experience. It works on a first come, first served basis, so if you want a prime spot, it’s best to arrive earlier than you think you need to. Many people settle in with drinks and snacks and simply enjoy the atmosphere while waiting for the main event — the sunset. 🌇 Despite the crowds, the overall vibe was enjoyable. The bar staff were reliable, friendly, and handled the rush smoothly, which made the experience more relaxed. We also tried the SkyPoint signature cocktail, which is highly recommended if you’re visiting. 🍹 The combination of stunning views, refreshing drinks, and a lively yet comfortable setting made our visit memorable
Kasun G — Google review
We visited SkyPoint and went up to the 77th floor — the view of the Gold Coast was absolutely beautiful! It was an interesting and enjoyable experience. There’s also a restaurant and bar where you can have drinks while enjoying the view. Overall, a great experience.
Nazanin R — Google review
A Must visit for Goldcoast. The tower is tall and spacious at the top, giving a vibrant view of the city. I would recommend to travel during the evening, so that you can see both the day and evening view. The lift is super fast, taking under 40 seconds to the 77th floor at the sky deck. The place also hosts a coffee shop, so you can enjoy and relax a couple of hours easily in there while taking the view of the city from all sides of the tower.

I enjoy visiting this shopping centre every 2–3 months. The stores are fantastic, and they put quality items on sale, not just the leftovers. My only recommendation would be to add a water tap somewhere in the centre, as that would be a great addition.

Harbour Town on the Gold Coast is a fantastic destination for shopping lovers and bargain hunters. As Australia’s largest outlet shopping centre, it offers a wide range of brand name stores with great discounts, including Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, and Coach. The open-air layout gives it a relaxed coastal vibe, and there are plenty of cafes and food options when you need a break. Parking is free and convenient, and the centre is easy to navigate. There’s even a cinema and services like a tourism lounge for visitors. It’s ideal for locals and tourists looking to save on quality brands in a fun, outdoor setting.

Australia Fair Shopping Centre is a sprawling complex located in Southport, offering a wide range of familiar retailers, a cinema, professional services, and numerous dining options. The shopping center overlooks the picturesque Southport Broadwater and spans over 59,540 square meters across two levels. With over 200 specialty stores and supermarkets, visitors can enjoy air-conditioned comfort while exploring the latest trends in shopping and indulging in diverse dining experiences within the Food Court and various restaurants.
The parking lots are sufficient and even free up to 2 hours on Monday to Saturday and 5 hours on Sundays. This shopping centre has a long history but has been renovated and there are Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, JB Hi-Fi, pharmacies, opticians, and clothing stores etc. The food court isn’t too big but the eateries there are mostly at affordable prices and nice views out there. Furthermore, there are also some takeaways and cafes in the building.

The first problem after parking in parking area & leaving my family at Bouncing Pillow, was no sighnage for Entrance to Shopping Centre. As a Tourist I had to find a stranger to ask & told to enter the Centre via the Underground Parking. The Shopping Centre itself is excellent and well presented inside. My first visit & I did not see any signage for Lifts or wheelchair accessibility. I still believe it's worth the trouble to find the Shopping experience you need.

Parking is convenient, with free parking available for up to 2 hours from Monday to Saturday and up to 5 hours on Sundays. Although the shopping centre has been around for a long time, it has been modernised and now features popular retailers like Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, JB Hi-Fi, along with several pharmacies, eyewear shops, fashion outlets, and more. The food court is modest in size, but most of the dining options are reasonably priced and offer pleasant views. In addition, there are several takeaway spots and cozy cafes throughout the premises.

Australia Fair is such a convenient shopping centre! You can find everything here, from groceries to fashion and daily essentials. One of the highlights for me is definitely Daiso ✨ It’s so handy to pick up everyday items or Japanese goods, and I end up visiting almost every three days. There’s also K-mart, which is a favourite among locals. It offers affordable daily necessities, home goods, and even small furniture, making it an essential spot for everyday life. With its great location, Australia Fair truly makes daily living easier.

No wonder why nobody likes your shopping centre. This escalator has been down for months. Such a simple thing but so inconvenient. It’s turning into a slum more and more each day. Soon it will be a ghost town and it should be.
Josh D — Google review
It wasn’t a very big shopping centre like Pacific Fair, but variety of shops there. There are also plenty of choices at Food court. Personally I love the beverage of the Taiwanese tea house - Hechalou. They have plenty of options for the tea jelly, not just bubble/pearls. My favourite is Matcha jelly. You can also select the amount of ices and the degree of sugar sweetness.
Jessie C — Google review
I was quite disappointed with my experience at the shopping center, as it did not meet the standards typically expected from such venues. Unlike most shopping centers that feature a variety of popular stores and a well-maintained food court, this one fell short. The surrounding cafes offered subpar quality, and I encountered three instances of poor customer service, along with food that seemed hastily prepared. Additionally, the lack of proper amenities, such as adequate napkins, further detracted from the overall experience. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this shopping center. 🕊️🙌🕊️

Marina Mirage is a luxurious harbourside mall on the Gold Coast, offering a high-end shopping experience with over 80 boutiques including big-name designers like Guess, Calvin Klein, Hermes and Tommy Hilfiger. The complex also features fine dining options such as Omeros Bros and Vanitas, overlooking the waterfront. Visitors can enjoy a day spa, beauty salon, and a scenic waterfront promenade with views of yachts and cruise ships.
There are a cafe and a few riverside restaurants in the mall. I highly recommend Omeros Brothers Seafood Restaurant because they do make authentic seafood dishes and you can also enjoy the scenery out there. The design of the place is quite good and there are also a variety of clothing stores from upstairs to downstairs and a few parking spaces outside the shopping centre. Moreover, it takes a while to walk to Sea World, a must go amusement park in Gold Coast and the bus 704 travels via here to SeaWorld.

Great place, there are shopping and parking options. Walked on the peer and enjoyed looking the Yachts on the marina. Notice some very interesting choices, like a boat shape of a small church building and another that resembles a sports car.

My last look at the soon to be demolished shopping centre. Remarkably there are still a few tenants. Don't park underneath, it used to leak nasty stuff into cars.

You can ride a helicopter here to see all of the Skyview of Goldcoast, but it takes long time to wait for taking it even though we booked the ticket in advance and our group had to seperate each other. As an apology, they gave us the photos taken in front of heli for free. Anyway, it's good to have an experience to get a heli.

Southport Park Shopping Centre is a cozy retail destination featuring supermarkets, a bakery, and a butcher, as well as casual dining options. The area is also known for its medical and educational facilities, including the Gold Coast Hospital, Griffith University campus, and several schools. Visitors can enjoy the scenic foreshore reserve with views of Sea World and the Sheraton Mirage hotel. Inside the shopping center, Maggie Choo's offers a modern take on Japanese cuisine in an ambiance adorned with glowing cherry blossoms.
It’s a versatile shopping centre that has Aldi, Coles, Woolworths, pharmacy, phone repair, some cafes and restaurants. Not only does it have a great number of parking spaces outside the mall but also a bus stop outside the mall. However, the buses here only departs from here and no buses directly travels from other places through here. Hence, if you want to come here by bus, you can get off at the bus stop nearby and walk a bit to here.

Nice shopping centre with woolies coles and aldi. Plus a lot of food choices. School holidays are here however there's no school holidays activities. A little disappointing. Could also do with another floor for shopping. Also there's southport park village but the only good things are zarrafas coffee and zambero

Southport Shopping Centre is such a convenient place and truly essential for daily life. One of the highlights here is definitely Fuji Mart 🇯🇵✨ — perfect for when you miss Japanese flavors. From soy sauce and mirin to snacks and instant foods, they have everything you need to recreate authentic Japanese dishes at home. It’s such a relief to know you can always find a taste of Japan right here in Australia. The shopping centre overall is well-equipped, covering everything from daily necessities to fashion, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors alike.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like HOTA, Home of the Arts. Not quite as popular as Sea World, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

HOTA, Home of the Arts, is a cultural complex that offers a variety of facilities for entertainment and artistic experiences. The Gallery at HOTA is a prominent public regional gallery in Australia, showcasing diverse exhibitions and events throughout the year. It features local, national, and international artworks as well as the renowned City Collection, documenting the character of the Gold Coast and Australian art development. Formerly known as Gold Coast City Gallery, it has become an integral part of the city's arts precinct.
I’ve lived on the Gold Coast for 20 years. Recently caught the ferry from Southport. Did a walk through. Climbed to the lookout. And ended up at the museum. Meandered through and ended up at the exhibition bar for afternoon tea. A great way to spend a few hours.
Faith G — Google review
HOTA Museum is colorful and impressive from the outside, a perfect blend of art and nature. Just walking around the grounds already lifts your spirits. I was really looking forward to visiting, but unfortunately Gallery 2 was closed this time — I hope to see it on my next visit. The poster art exhibition was vibrant and beautifully captured the spirit of its era. And the view from the top floor was absolutely stunning! You can enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Coast city and ocean — definitely worth a visit.
Ai W — Google review
Wonderful free museum experience and a welcome change of pace from the Gold Coast's beach scene. The gallery's distinctive, colourful architecture makes it a landmark in itself. The gallery spans six levels, showcasing a significant collection of Australian art. However, the best feature might be the view: head straight to the rooftop bar for a panoramic photo of the city, looking out over the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise. The entire HOTA precinct is accessible and great for exploring on foot, with beautiful parklands and a sculpture walk around the lake. It's easy to get here, either by enjoying a scenic walk or conveniently taking the HOPO ferry directly to the grounds.
A W — Google review
HOTA is more than just arts, it is located in landscaped surroundings and has three restaurants. There is a sculpture walk around the lake and a map can be downloaded from the website. There is plenty of parking and the first 4 hours are free. So whether you are into the arts or not there is something for everyone.

Attended the school eisteddfod. First time to this location. Well laid out, wheelchair friendly. There is open air metred parking. There is a bistro canteen type restaurant as well as a snack kiosk. Ample seating area both inside and outside seating areas. There is also a bar inside the venue for thirsty visitors like me. Overall, a great experience.
Colin P — Google review
It’s a spacious and nice place for families to spend time together. However, I think the exhibition could be improved. Many galleries were closed in preparation for the next exhibition, and overall, I still felt it was quite a small art center.
Kira — Google review
Lovely museum and free to enter! The artwork was wonderful to see, and the viewing deck at the top offers amazing views. Staff were lovely too. The only downside was that I wished there was more artwork to explore!

Infinity Attraction is a popular indoor Gold Coast destination that offers an immersive experience filled with optical illusions, special effects, and futuristic technology. Located in the Chevron Renaissance Centre in Surfers Paradise, this funhouse attraction features around twenty multi-sensual environments with unique visual effects, atmospheric sound fields, and groovy music.
Excellent place with lots of optical illusions. I would not recommend for small children since it can be a little scary trying to find your way out. I would also recommend going at a time when it isn’t busy so that you don’t run into other groups. Overall it was a fun experience and I would recommend.
Misty D — Google review
Definitely a worth it experience. It's basically a walk through experience with different rooms and effects. Very trippy and it was also extremely dark pretty much the whole way through. It could also get very loud at times. Some rooms event felt scary and my friends were screaming heaps through them 😂. Overall I thinks it's worth it. Maybe don't go in with smaller one day tho as they could get scared. It's $30 for adults. Overall o recommend 👍👍
Ryder M — Google review
This place actually exceeded my expectations. Booked online for a last minute date night. Would definitely recommend going at fringe times as we only ran into another group of people one time and it's definitely more fun when it's just you and your crew. The attraction takes a satisfying amount of time to complete and the set up is really effective. It's hilariously disorientating, magically futuristic.
Ellie F — Google review
We did this attraction on a whim while in Surfers today. It was well set up, felt very much like a Tokyo Team Borderless experience but with of course, an Aussie twist. Moving through the rooms was a decent pace and not too scary for our youngest (6).
Lindie-Joy S — Google review
It's ok... But certainly not worth $93 for a family of 4. We walked through not fast and was only in there for about 15mins. Like don't get me wrong, it's cool in some parts... But definitely not worth the hype and definitely not worth the price. Got to the end and we all said "is that it?"
Hayley A — Google review
A great way to deal with stress, a heartbreak, a midlife crisis, or any tragedy imaginable! It was always a great distraction from the pain I felt that I'd escape by going into their Escape Room, and I can't wait to take my 4 lovely daughters here so they can experience this high tech experience themselves! Emily is a great, smiley staff member there and she is a Kiwi Margot Robbie that's pleasant to all customers! This place is more than worth the admission cost! Margot Robbie would be proud!

Truly an otherworldly experience. Went during the school holidays and is a must visit. 4th dimensional rooms filled with lights, smoke machines, moving walls, and the list goes on. If you need a thrill then look no further then infinity. Definitely a memorable experience and will look forward for another thrill when I come back!

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Surfers Paradise is a popular museum showcasing over 300 exhibits of bizarre oddities and rare artifacts. Visitors can marvel at shrunken human heads, unusual animal skeletons, and interactive displays that cater to all ages. The themed galleries feature unbelievable stories, illusions, and interactive games, while the 7D Moving Theatre offers an immersive motion simulator experience.
What a fun place to visit. We were in Surfers just overnight for appointments for my daughter and we hadn’t been here since she was really little. So we decided to go check it out again. There is so much amazing stuff on display! We purchased the top Pass which gave us access to everything. The 7D cinema was the best part for both of us! We chose the Wild West one. The mirror maze was so much fun and we laughed the entire time. Even walking down the stairs to enter there’s a fun surprise!!
Naomi G — Google review
Fantastic experience. We did the main museum and the mirror maze. Everyone in our group (from age 3 to mid 50s) had a great time, there was something for everyone. Loved the interactive parts, like making the tallest man stand up and walking through a tunnel that made you dizzy. The mirror maze was the best I've ever seen, we will definitely be back next time we visit the Gold Coast.
Amiee B — Google review
Loved how interactive and quirky everything was. We laughed, we gasped, and we took a lot of photos. It’s like stepping into a bizarre museum of fun facts and freaky artifacts. Totally worth it if you’re into the strange and unexpected! 👽🎩🦶

What a fantastic experience! The museum was so interesting with so much to see and take in. The 7D game was terrifyingly fun. Could not have enjoyed the mirror maze more!! Such a great family experience and value for money! Will definitely go again!

Amazing. Would come here again. Service was quick, easy and reliable. Staff were also friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Photos are amazing, cheap and awesome quality. Me and my family had smiles on our faces the whole time. Would recommend!

Came in a few days ago and my family and I had such a fun and memorable visit to Ripley’s! From start to finish, the experience was filled with excitement, weird and wonderful exhibits, and really friendly staff. A special shoutout to Liv, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the visit. She made the experience even better with her upbeat energy and knowledge about the attractions. One of the highlights was definitely the Mirror Maze. It was such a cool challenge and way more disorienting (in a good way!) than I expected. The lights, reflections, and twists had us laughing the whole time trying to find our way out. The 7D Theatre was another must try. It’s like a video game, a roller coaster, and a movie all rolled into one. The effects were awesome, you actually feel like you're part of the action. Definitely worth it if you're into interactive, adrenaline pumping fun. Overall, Ripley’s is a perfect spot for families and those looking to have a good time. Thanks again to Liv and the team for making it such a great experience!

The Spit Gold Coast is the northernmost beach on the Gold Coast, offering a picturesque sandy strip popular for activities like dog walks, surfing, and fishing. It serves as a gateway between the Gold Coast Broadwater and the open ocean, making it an ideal spot for various water activities such as snorkeling, diving, and boating. The area also features fishing spots where early risers can catch worms at Main Beach while enjoying stunning sunrise views.
Lovely place to visit! Great for a snorkel, surf, swim, picnic! Highly recommend coming for a visit to check out the area. Keep your eyes peeled for turtles and dolphins too!
Emily Q — Google review
A great place to check out for a morning walk and enjoyed the view and waves splashing against the wave breaker. It seems to be a popular place for fishing. There’s a lighthouse at the end of the trail. Be prepared for the cold wind..
Choo G — Google review
The view is amazing, but without a car it can be a bit tricky to get there. I took a bus to Sea World and then walked (I tried a Lime bike, but it was too heavy for me, so I ended up walking). There’s a pathway out into the sea where you can enjoy a stunning view of Surfers Paradise. Along the way, you’ll see plenty of dogs enjoying the beach and fishers both on the boats and along the shore. The Spit is definitely one of the iconic spots on the Gold Coast.

Such a lovely spot to go for a walk, the paths are large and flat which i find great for wheel chairs, prams ect. In summer though it does get very hot on the walk to the end so if you have dogs you may want to keep that in mind as their paws can get burnt.
