Visitors can also opt for unique experiences such as an overnight stay at the beluga tank, where they can interact with friendly belugas and participate in cultural activities like making ang ku kueh.
I always love this aquarium and so do my kids. It is fun for children and adults. I’ve been to aquariums all over the world and this by far has been one of my favorites! It is also surrounded by beautiful scenery.

It is one of Taiwan's most prestigious and popular tourist attractions. It's not just an aquarium but a world-class research and conservation institution. The museum is divided into three main exhibition buildings, each with a unique theme. Waters of Taiwan,Coral Kingdom,Waters of the World,Sunken Ship / Whale Waterfall. It's a top-tier attraction that should be on any Taiwan travel itinerary. It is highly recommanded for families event.

Hands down one of the best if not the best Aquariums I have ever been to. We are in off season (November) so it wasn't crowded. What we loved about it was the detailed scientific information they provide about marine life, history and the environment. Their presentation of information and data is clear and concise. They don't have all possible live mammals and sealife but a well presented number that in the oceans around Taiwan. The most impressive in the Coral Reef section is the three level tank where you walk through clear tubes around and through a sunken shipwreck with fish, rays and sharks swimming around. There many other large tanks with more sharks, rays, crabs, star fish, etc. There is also Taiwan island sections that shows the different water environments of the island. They have a Penguin exhibit with types and a feeding show. They have aome Puffins also and a feeding show. We saw only one seal though it was supposed to be a few. The only disappointing thing we saw was that had two Beluga whales in a tank but they have had them for quite awhile. They are beautiful and seemed to be well taken care of. There is much to see there and it well designed for families with small children. The grounds are very very clean and the facilities are well maintained.

We’ve had a great experience in this aquarium. The only downside was that the “informative” part of the display was quite outdated visually, especially the 3D section, but this place is definitely worth a visit!
Aleksei O — Google review
A place that you can easily spend 3 hours there. Lots to experience, typical of what you can expect from an aquarium. However, the place is a bit old and rundown and I feel it needs some modernization and facelifts. The 3D theatre still uses 3D glasses and the clip was boring. Nevertheless, it is a good place for family visits and you can actually sleepover there. I think sleepover will be a unique experience for a family.
L L — Google review
My children specifically love the penguin area. They're so many. The place is quite big. My family enjoyed the visit.

Aquarium 5/5 Ticket grandma 1/5 Used my student ID all over taiwan for a year. But she made me pay extra because i dont have a login to my university (foreign language exchange department did not give a login or have connection to NSYSU directly). Was willing to show my schedule and classes, but she said no foreigner students are accepted only taiwanese from taiwan. Defeats the purpose of the discount and shuns foreingers.

We could have spent all day here! One of my favorite aquariums I’ve ever been to, though the captive beluga did make me sad…

The Paradise of Deer is a native deer sanctuary located near Hengchun, a town that serves as the gateway to the famous beaches of Kenting. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences such as feeding and petting the deer, and there's also a gift shop on-site. While some visitors have expressed concerns about the deer being trained to seek food from humans, many find it to be an enjoyable experience.
This park has two animals enclosures, capybaras and sika deers. But we had quality time interacting with both and the kids had an amazing time. So did the adults! We got up close with the animals and it was not too crowded for a weekend. The park is well maintained and the animals clean and well looked after. There were very good instructions before entering the enclosures to ensure we were safe and the animals protected. Super convenient location too. Overall highly recommended!
Edna Z — Google review
Such a beautiful place 😍 Deers and capybaras are super cute. The place is well equipped, so you can get all the food for animals and wash your feet after visiting. There are several places to buy food and drinks inside, as well as souvenirs :)
Fatima Z — Google review
Amazing x 5 You will get a full hands-on experience with capybara’s and deer . If you get the tickets from kkday you can also save a few bucks. Each ticket also includes free deer food and discount for a drink or ice cream.

Pleasantly surprised by well behaved animals. Great music and calming effect of the whole environment. Staff is very nice and polite. Very helpful and approachable. Great place to be to relieve stress from anything
E L — Google review
Humble, little space to appreciate capybaras and some endemic deer. The facility is clean and well-managed -- seems up to par with recreational standards; animals did not look stressed at all. Relaxing place if you want to cozy up with them.
Simeon B — Google review
Beautifully made place and great for children. The two main attractions are Taiwan deers and capybaras. You can feed the capybaras and pet them. Same for the deers. You get instructions about how to approach them etc. It's not a very long activity. Perhaps 30-60min for everything.
Leonard L — Google review
It was awesome, my family and I came here in early October and the capybaras are chill guys, the deer are so friendly, we got some ice cream afterwards and the mango is so good 5/5 stars.

My children enjoyed it, especially the slide inside. There's a small park outside too. The desalinated popsicles are yummy.
Nova K — Google review
Big crowd here and at the nearby fish market to the point that finding parking was hard and we ended up having to walk quite a distance. Exhibits were interesting and were quite educational. Place appears more catered to locals so expect everything to be in Chinese.
Sean L — Google review
Fun stop on our tour. Lots of interactive stations for the kids to burn off some energy. All related to power and energy use/creation so they were learning a bit as well.
Chris B — Google review
Good museum to find out more about nuclear power, history of Taiwan Power, power conservation and other trivial knowledge. There are some interactive exhibits that are rather fun for children as well. Unfortunately English descriptions on exhibits are very limited. After walking through everything head to level 2 for the ice popsicles made from purified sea water (just 15TWD). All in all, a good place to escape the heat or rain.

Taipower Visitor Center South Taiwan. This visitorcenter is mainly dedicated to the Third Nuclear Power Plant of Taiwan, which is the Maanshan NPP. During our visit, we as the only Westerners, had a very warm welcome at the visitor center. We had to sign the visitors log and then had to proceed to the movie theatre. Allthough we do not speak or write Mandarin, we had a good time checking out the movie. Movie was intended for kids. On a trip to Kenting, we honestly belief that a visit to this center is something not to be missed.
Outboard L — Google review
Good educational experience for the kids, with many games about energy generation, earthquakes experience and environmental education. There is a big slides in the facilities, playground outside the facilities. Washroom and nursing room available. Please note: all these are FREE!
Eyogurt — Google review
I was not impressed with the "Thaipower exhibit center in Southern Taiwan "... Only the titles of the exponates are in English... but not the descriptions which forces you to guess 95% of the info if you cannot read in taiwaneese. There are some interactive things which are sort of fun but most of them are boring history of electricity and electro-magnetism and an incursion into how a nuclear power works. Free entrance...

A must-visit destination when in Pingtung! The scenery here is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking landscapes that make every moment feel special. Whether you’re here to admire the natural beauty or capture amazing photos, this place has so much to offer. When I visited, the wind was incredibly strong—it felt like a mini tornado! Haha! It was such a fun and exciting experience, adding a bit of adventure to the visit. The powerful gusts made the surroundings feel even more dramatic, making it a truly unforgettable moment. This spot is perfect for photography lovers, with endless opportunities to capture stunning views. Whether you’re taking selfies, scenic shots, or just soaking in the beauty, every angle is picture-perfect. The combination of nature, open spaces, and fresh air makes it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the outdoors. If you’re in Pingtung, this is definitely a place you shouldn’t miss. It’s a fun, unique, and visually stunning destination that I highly recommend. I had an amazing time here and would love to visit again!

This is a park located at southern tip of Taiwan, overlooking a beautiful beach along the Pacific Ocean. It should be a great place to see sun rise. Will try to get here much earlier in our next trip.

Expansive, unobstructed and sweeping view of the Pacific ocean, great for star gazing and sunrise. I come here everytime I'm in Kenting.

Longpan Park is located on the east coast of the Hengchun Peninsula in Kenting National Park, Taiwan. It is a vast limestone terrace situated between Eluanbi and Fengchuisha. Known for its breathtaking coastal scenery, it is one of the most iconic landscapes in Kenting. There are stunning coastal terrain, unobstructed ocean views & sunrise, excellent stargazing location, grasslands & fengchuisha landscape

A one-of-a-kind natural spot — and completely free! This park features a truly unique landscape that’s hard to find anywhere else. You can get an amazing panoramic view of the entire bay, and it’s absolutely breathtaking. Just be careful not to get too close to the cliff edges, as they can be steep and unsafe. Also, if it’s been raining, watch your step — the red soil can get a bit soft and slippery. Highly recommend for nature lovers and anyone looking for a scenic, peaceful place to explore.
MEW S — Google review
One of the best place for sunrise in Kenting. Extremely windy tho!

80/-NT$ for entrance, 40/-for carpark. Nice beautiful green pastures. Nice seaview. Can spend around 30 to 45 min.

Must visit. One can view the most southern tip of Taiwan island and the various landmarks. Given the high ground and the open sea, wind is really strong which makes it a fun place to visit. Very safe as there are walking paths.
