Volo dell'Angelo in Castelmezzano offers an adrenaline-filled experience for thrill-seekers. Also known as the angel flight, this high-speed zip line starts from a hill near the village and connects over the valley with neighboring Pietrapertosa. Despite some challenges with accessibility and limited services, visitors praise the breathtaking views and friendly staff.
Beautiful Italian hilltop village. Certainly worth the effort to visit this area. Like a mini Alpine region,

This was amazing! Can’t recommend this enough, you ‘fly’ across the ravine, spectacular views, such an exhilarating experience (and I don’t even like heights!) The staff were so kind and helpful, organising Go Pro (€20) and there were photos too (€8) and they even took some on my phone before we ‘took off’! (take cash as it’s easier for the team)
Louise M — Google review
Don’t miss this thrill! What a rush! Transform yourself to Superman for a couple of minutes with incredible views! Highly recommend. A bit of a language barrier if you don’t speak Italian, but they tried very hard!

Amazing zipline, really does feel like flying! You have to go to the ticket office in town first so go here rather than the other locations which are the launch sites. Very steep path up to the launch site although there's a bus that takes you most of the way. Price is very reasonable.

Unforgettable experience practiced several times. Really breathtaking .. everything is located in an incredibly small but breathtaking village. I recommend everyone even a visit to the place !!!

The zip line experience was great. The village itself is beautiful I do recommend this activity, however the ladies at the ticket zip line reception was incredibly rude. No good communication and rubbish customer service. We came 2 hours early to the check-inn as we was already in the area because we had taken part in another activity. We wanted to see if there was availability for another ticket. Anyone with common sense would know that the reason we went early to the check-inn was because if we went later we would risk there being no tickets left. They made us wait several minutes outside with no updates and told us we had to come back at the time of our booking to see if there was any spare tickets which is quite stupid as if we came later we would risk others taking any tickets that were left. As we was still waiting outside and being rudely spoken to they allowed a family of 3 with no tickets to go in before us even though we was there before them. At this point we went back in and told them this was ridiculous and unacceptable in which case one of the women decided to argue with us that we was wrong for coming early to get an extra ticket and told us that if we wanted to come 2 hours in advance for a spare ticket we might aswell have come a whole day before?! And that “you should just have booked it online”. Who is she to tell me how to book my tickets. In fact we did try to book another last minute ticket however the site kept crashing and if booking tickets online was the case then she could have told the family of 3 to also book online. What a cheeky cheeky women speaking to customers in such a way.
Denia C — Google review
This was so much fun and could not have been more beautiful. We appreciated the relaxed pace and even enjoyed the 25min hike to the first zipline.
Julia K — Google review
Amazing experience! We truly recommed this flight! The stuff is very kind and highly professional. After you buy your flight online, you come to the Castelmezzano village to the ticket office - Biglietteria. You have to meet the weight requirements, so they measure your weight. Then you go to the parking place in front of tourist info point and wait for the shuttle bus. Bus takes you as high as the road goes, then you walk about 20 minutes further high the path to the Castelmezzano starting station. You fly to the other hill, near Pietrapertosa. Other bus takes you to Pietrapertosa and after cca 10 minutes walk you reach another starting point and you fly back to Castelmezzano. All this is included in price you pay when you book the flight. Pictures from your flight can be purchased after first flight and you can rent GoPro camera at the first starting point. After both flights you get memory card with videos from both of your flights. We had 2x couple flights with our childrens 13 and 10 years old, it was fantastic, the stuff works precisely with all safety precautions. Once more many thanks, when in Basilicata, we will come back again!!! 👍👍👍😉

The stunning mountain church, constructed with a stone facade from the Lucanian Dolomites, showcases a central hall design with a barrel vault. The prevailing light hues create an atmosphere of serenity. Partial side aisles accommodate altars and chapels dedicated to popular saints, as well as a wooden sculpture depicting the holy family, which exemplifies local craftsmanship. Its location on the most picturesque square offers splendid views of the Lucanian Dolomites' balcony.

It is thought to date back to the beginning of the 13th century, with smaller dimensions than the current ones. It has undergone several transformations and until the mid-1800s it consisted of a single nave, with four small side chapels (of Jesus Christ, of Charity, of Purgatory and of Saint Anthony) and several altars (of the latter, there were already 7 in 1544). The bell tower was lower, rectangular in shape. (Original) 7 Altari.

(Translated by Google) The church's construction likely dates back to the early 13th century and has undergone numerous modifications over the centuries. Until the mid-19th century, it consisted of a single nave with four small side chapels. Consolidation work began in 1853, but the 1857 earthquake damaged the building. However, work continued, and the church underwent extensive repairs and reconstruction. In 1870, the central nave was further enlarged, the sacristy was renovated, and the bell tower and two side naves were rebuilt. In the early 20th century, the church was adorned with various marble altars, thanks to contributions from Castelmezzano emigrants to the United States. The building preserves works such as the statues of "Santa Maria dell'Olmo," the "Madonna with Child," the "Madonna del Bosco-Queen Pura," and the "Madonna dell'Ascensione." Three paintings adorn the interior: the "Souls in Purgatory," the "Madonna del Carmelo," and the "Holy Family." It is located in the village's main square and is certainly worth a visit.

Via Ferrata Salemm is a challenging equipped route in the Lucanian Dolomites, offering an extreme outdoor experience for experienced climbers. The route spans from the villages of Dolomite Mountains to Pietrapertosa, showcasing stunning landscapes along the way. While it presents more peaceful sections compared to Marcirosa, complete via ferrata equipment is mandatory. Climbers should be prepared for a long and demanding journey with several stages that raise the level of difficulty.
It was really a great workout for me and the kids (11, 15). We started early (6 am) since it was mid July and temp reaches 30 around noon. Most of the route was in shade. Took us 3.5 h the full Salemm circle: we had accommodations in Castelmezzano itself so we started by foot toward the path of 7 stone starting point. The route took us up the mountain until we ended just above the village. The via ferrata is not too hard but very exposed.

(Translated by Google) Via ferrata that develops in several phases, with different escape routes. I would not recommend it to those who are new to this discipline as there are very exposed and completely vertical sections, especially in the final section, which also has the holds very distant from each other. Also pay attention to very loose and poorly tensioned cables, which make the balance precarious in many points. In general, however, a beautiful via ferrata, which for the most part overlooks the Lucanian Dolomites and the town of Castelmezzano. The final stretch, although the most difficult, also offers the most beautiful view, especially if you are lucky enough to get the right sun between the canyon walls.

Passage over the Tibetan bridge at the end of the path of the five stones and then a nice tour around the dolomite bell towers characteristic of the area. If you have the equipment yourself, you can climb the via ferrata freely and you don't have to pay an entrance fee. We started from Pietraperosa and then hiked back from Castelmezzano. But you can also do the whole thing in the other direction. The large bridge over the river is the highlight. The many beautiful ones. Viewing spots are great. (Translated by Google) Very beautiful and versatile via ferrata, which is divided into 3 stages. And many different types of games combined. Friction climbing, technical climbing using the rope or sections where the rock provides better grip. If the last stage has already reached your limits, do not move on to the next one. The “accesses” also become more difficult with each section. Beginners should take a guide. For those who are new to it like me and my colleague, the journey was anything but simple! I had done another couple of via ferratas in the previous months and this proved to be the most challenging. It is quite long and takes place in several stages, which also contributes to raising the level of difficulty. What we appreciated is that there are 3 escape routes along the entire route, in case you decide you won't be able to continue! Congratulations to the organization and the kindness of the girl Antonella who rented us the necessary equipment at the low cost of €20 and showed us the via ferrata and gave us polishing before departure with maximum availability! We will definitely return to Via Marcirosa! Path of the Seven Stones

4.5
(488)
Hiking area
The Path of the Seven Stones is a picturesque trail that connects the charming Italian villages of Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa. This leisurely stroll offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside as hikers make their way between these two idyllic destinations.
Each stone is strategically placed to align with the natural breaks and viewpoints along the trail: Stone 1: The Departure Location: Near the starting point in Castelmezzano. Narrative: Vito, a young shepherd, leaves his village to seek a better future. Encouraged by his dreams and the words of a mysterious elder, he sets off on a journey. Stone 2: The Encounter Location: A short distance along the trail. Narrative: Vito meets a wise old woman who gives him advice and a magical object to help him on his journey. She tells him to follow the path and heed the signs along the way. Stone 3: The Challenge Location: As the trail starts to ascend. Narrative: Vito faces his first major challenge, encountering a fierce animal. Using the wisdom and courage instilled in him, he overcomes the obstacle and continues his journey. Stone 4: The Vision Location: At a scenic viewpoint along the trail. Narrative: Vito experiences a vision that reveals insights about his past and future. This vision strengthens his resolve and guides him further along his path. Stone 5: The Temptation Location: Midway through the trail, in a serene spot. Narrative: Vito encounters a beautiful but deceptive entity that tries to lead him astray. Remembering the old woman's advice, he resists the temptation and stays true to his path. Stone 6: The Revelation Location: As the trail begins to descend toward Pietrapertosa. Narrative: Vito discovers a hidden truth about his heritage and destiny. This revelation provides him with the clarity and purpose needed to complete his journey. Stone 7: The Return Location: Near the end of the trail, approaching Pietrapertosa. Narrative: Vito returns to his village with newfound wisdom and strength. He is celebrated as a hero, and his journey inspires others to seek their own paths. The Seven Stones is a unique blend of physical activity and storytelling, offering a rich, immersive experience that connects hikers with the history, culture, and natural beauty of the region. The inscriptions are usually in Italian, so having a translation app or guidebook can enhance the experience for non-Italian speakers.

We took the track from the bottom of the village Pietrapertosa to Castelmazzone one way took 1 hour on a slow walk . The track has been well constructed , it is a steep uphill walk coming back . You will need to be fit to do this track Great views of the valleys
Marianna B — Google review
It may have just been because we did this walk in the rain but we were fairly unimpressed. The most irritating thing was the loud music that plays at every stop of the way on the walk - it’s meant to tell a story of witches but it completely ruins the tranquility of the walk. The views are okay but nothing you wouldn’t get by looking out from either town. It was also quite tricky to walk on the paving stones going downhill and the boulders on the Castelmezzano side. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone not very mobile.

Nice hike, I would say moderate difficulty. We did it with our kids (6 and 4 years old) and we took our time. We crossed path with people who got lost with their bikes, not recommended, they must have had a hard time climbing the other side !
Sarah W — Google review
Highly recommended but only if you expand from the path of the seven stones which is a lot more than just that - it is part of a bigger area of trails which would satisfy any hobby hiker. Do not just do the slightly irritating (due to the horrible loudspeaker noises) and short walk of the stones but rather go and explore the access trails to the via ferratas on both side of the river. There is a lot of additional beautiful hiking and to the left you can easily do a bit of the Via Ferata without gear but of course be careful. On the other side you can easily get to the Nepalese Bridge which is easy to cross with or without gear - again be responsible. Once you have walked up on the other side at Pietrapertosa have lunch and relax as it is a steep ascent. Then walk to the left of the town up to the castle - just keep going up and you will be rewarded with amazing views. Then pass down to the flight of angels very close by and take the path to the right all the way down to the river. This means that you have done a full loop and much nicer than going back down the same way - enjoy!

It was hard work to get to the other side but it was worth it. The path is marked clearly. There are several surprises along the way. It's a shame there's no bus to take you back. We paid 70€ to someone to take us back.
Reuven N — Google review
Almost no one writes this in the comments, but I'll tell you. My wife and I have walked this path in both directions. REMEMBER! The path along the seven stones trail must necessarily begin with Pietropetros. From the beginning of the trail to the stone bridge over the stream there is a long, sometimes very steep descent. The path is laid with stone paving stones. We walked in the most ordinary light sneakers and sneakers. We didn't experience any problems. After the stream and vecchio mulino, the trail goes up over the rocks to Castelmezzano. But this rise is not comparable to the rise towards Pietro. You won't even notice it, it's like climbing the stairs to the 9th floor. You won't get tired. With all that, if you move from Pietrapertosa towards Castelmezzano, you will still take pictures and make videos. Although to admit there is nothing particularly interesting. All the stones are talking. But if you start the way from Castelmezzano towards Pietrapertosa, you will quickly and carefully descend over the rocks to the stream, and then you will climb up for a long time sweating. Taking pictures at this moment will be extremely uninteresting. You will want to drink and take a breath. It's not fun at all. Whether you're indulging in their famous four-cheese pizza or enjoying a hearty platter of pasta and salads during lunchtime, every bite is crafted with care by the talented kitchen team.
Honestly, the best pizza we ever had! The waitress speak very good English. She’s very attentive and hard working. Kudos to the chef! Definitely worth a visit.

Only open at the weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, when we were there but excellent pizza and starters served by a very friendly english-speaking waitress. Do try a carafe of their own red or rose. The rose in particular was one of the best I've had.

We crashed a little bit into a local kid's birthday party. Even if the restaurant was normally closed, they found us a table. Super nice people there, we got even a piece of the very awesome football birthday cake. The other food (pizza) was very very good too and the prices are from our point of view super cheap. I would give 6 Stars if possible!!!

Actually fantastic. Generous portions of delicious food, and great house wine. Lunchtime is pasta, salad and a cheese/meat board (excellent) and dinner is pizzas, fried appetizers and desserts. Honest and lovely people, and the waitress speaks fairly good English. Proper Italian mama in the kitchen 😉

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Angel Flight - Pietrapertosa Ticket, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Volo dell'Angelo - Partenza di Pietrapertosa. All together, your day would be filled with about 6 hours of non-stop fun.

Adventure sports center
Pietrapertosa, a town with a rich history dating back to the 9th century, is home to the hidden fortress built by the Saracens. One of its main attractions is Il Volo dell'Angelo (the Angel Flight), where visitors can experience an exhilarating adventure flying through the stunning landscape at a maximum height of 1020 meters above sea level and reaching speeds of up to 120 km per hour.
* Parking: it is a bit messy in the city so you need to be prepared in a timely manner to find a good spot (we got lucky as we almost got a ticket but managed to get away on time 😅) * Customer service: if others here told the customer service could improve, I think it has! Or we just visited on a good day. Instructions were clear and customer service was very nice to us. Felt secure and everything was OK and nice. 😊🙏 (Although they called me madame and I'm only 27 😅 Still. Very cute they were) * Prices: 79 eur per couple, 2 flights + 8 eur 4 pictures * The climb from 1 flight to another: take a huge water bottle with you because on a hot day it is very much needed on the 30min walk. If you have heart or some serious condition, it is not recommended. * You can take the water bottle and some other things on your flight with you so that's nice. * T-shirt is needed!!! Don't wear flappy clothes as they might hurt the skin on the flight and flap on your skin. I made that mistake. Better to put it around your hips if it is with you. So don't wear loose clothes if possible. * The flight itself: terryfing and astonishing. Amazing. Once in a lifetime experience! 💖👌

Booked directly from the website and got to experience two zip lines backs and forth between Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano! It is a once in a lifetime opportunity, one trip takes a bit over a minute and top speed of 120km/h. We drove by car and parked on the street, very lucky to get a spot right away (free). Got clear instructions, not all were English speaking, but no issue. Customer service was good, we felt secure and everything was nice. We did the solo tickets for a couple, so €92 total for 2 flights. We got the pictures, €8 for 4 pictures, they were a bit blurry but fun to have. The walk to Pietrapertosa is not bad 5-10 minutes uphill. But the one after the shuttle bus to the Castelmezzano flight is steep and takes 20-30 minutes!

This is fantastic if you like zip lines. If you are at all afraid of heights however this is not the ride for you. You are WAY up above the valley floor. I was also not prepared on the first flight for the sudden deceleration at the end. It looks like you are coming in at Mach 1 but then the arresting cable slows you down very quickly. Be prepared for a potential jolt when you hit the end. Don't have your mouth open or you might chip a tooth when you stop suddenly at the end. You have to do a bit of climbing to get back to your second flight, but in the end the experience is well worth it

This 2 ziplines offer your an amazing view of the valley. You will travel at around 120km/h at peak. The organization is very friendly although they have difficulties in speaking English. It's also quite professional with a lot of people involved.

What started as an amazing experience, ended with me feeling very scared and unsafe. We started in Castelmezzano. The staff were amazing. There was one gentlemen who was covered in tattoos (didn’t get his name) that made me and my boyfriend feel really comfortable because we were super nervous. He joked around with us and even placed my boyfriend’s hand in mine after we were strapped in, which was such a sweet thing to do! The flight was absolutely amazing and beautiful. I felt safe and the staff were all so kind. On the way back to Castelmezzano from Pietrapertosa, I felt that my straps were loose. It didn’t feel secure like the way the staff did it in Castelmezzano. At the top of the zip line, I mentioned this to the staff member and he told me to just lay down and put my feet up. Throughout the flight, I felt terrified because my chest was loose and I was really scared that something would happen. Overall, the process was safe and all the staff members were kind. We even left with some fun pictures. The only thing that ruined it for me was how i was scared for my wellbeing on the flight back. I wish things had ended differently.

What an experience...go for it. About 30 minutes from the motorway and you are in an amazing village. Parking is a little hard as it is a 'small' village' We paid to park . We started from Pietrapertosa and this mean't the first flight was slower and the ground disappears a little more slowly. Bit of confusion on the other side as the non-english-speaking Italian told us not to get on the bus, refused to check our tickets, and would not allow us on the bus we needed. I think they should consider ensuring all the team can speak more than Italian as this is an international tourist attraction. There is a good 20 minute walk to the next zip line departure point and this one seems faster and the ground disappears far more quickly. We both loved this and the place and scenery are beautiful. Oh and you can take a zipped up small backpack if you need one (camera / phone/ spare underwear).

(Translated by Google) Pietrapertosa shows itself as an ancient village that has managed to maintain its medieval physiognomy over time, especially in the oldest part located on the slopes of the Castle which still today retains the ancient Saracen name of Arabat, the Arab neighborhood, characterized by narrow streets and dead ends and surmounted by the Saracen Tower. The typically single-family houses arranged in rows from top to bottom, adapt to the shape of the land, and become an integral part of the mountain and rock landscape and of the surrounding environment, so much so that the rock often takes on the function of the wall of the houses.... Visiting Pietrapertosa you have the feeling that everything is regulated according to the rock, for example the numerous stairs, they are the exemplification of the symbiosis between the town, its inhabitants and the rock, the manifestation of living in one's own territory which cannot deny the massive, almost bursting presence of nature, but must make it an integral part of the urban structure. Pietrapertosa takes its name from the ancient Petraperciata, meaning perforated due to the presence of a cliff perforated from side to side, and is the highest municipality in Basilicata. This character of a natural fortress and the possibility of dominating the Basento valley have contributed to favoring the presence of man since the most remote times. Castelmezzano, a very pretty village perched among strange geological formations, is counted among the MOST BEAUTIFUL unknown villages in ITALY ❤ A pearl among the Lucanian Dolomites. ...a nativity scene... This precious medieval gem retained its anonymity until recently. Today it now boasts thousands of visitors a year, thanks to the adrenaline-pumping experience of the angel's flight which allows you to fly at 120 km/h at 800 meters above sea level, up to the village of Pietrapertosa only with a harness and hanging from a pulley. An ideal place for trekking lovers... with geological and naturalistic routes... the route of the seven stones... the railway, the Norman staircase, the Tibetan bridge, the town preserves traces of the passage of the Normans, the Lombards and even the Knights Templar...

(Translated by Google) A small jewel of Basilicata: breathtaking landscapes, villages nestled in the rock (Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa), and plenty of nature to experience with hikes, a sleigh ride, and the famous Angel Flight. The atmosphere is unique and absolutely worth the visit. But you need to be organized: during high season, there are lines, full parking lots, and services don't always live up to expectations (digital payments are often not accepted, management is sometimes improvised). Despite this, the beauty of the place makes up for it: walking through the alleys, tasting typical products like peperone cruschi, and admiring the view is more than worth it. In short: an experience not to be missed if you visit Basilicata, with some organizational compromises to be expected.

Castello Normanno - Svevo di Pietrapertosa is a historical site dating back to the Norman period (11th-13th century AD). It was originally built as a fortress in a central position relative to the castles of Pietrapertosa and Brindisi di Montagna. The castle, perched on top of the village, offers breathtaking views of the Lucanian Dolomites and Castelmezzano.
(Translated by Google) Very beautiful remains of a castle in a very beautiful village! You have to climb a little to get there but it's quite quick and worth it. The view on the way up is superb and at the top you can see the valleys and villages perched in the mountains. Luckily, I went to visit these remains on a cleaning day so there was no one there and entry was free. The staff who were cleaning the place gave me a very nice tour of the place, explaining the history of the castle and those who lived there. Just below, there are also two small paths (to the right when going down from the castle), one that leads to a church that was closed when I went there but with a nice panoramic view, then another path that takes us back to the entrance of the village. I really recommend this symbolic place of Pietrapertosa!

(Translated by Google) I found it open on Sunday morning. Tickets cost €3. The visit can last 10-15 minutes, and the view is beautiful. From the start of the pedestrian path leading to the Angel's Flight and the castle, it takes about 15-20 minutes to reach it. The climb is easy but quite steep and requires some effort. Perched and embedded in the rock at the top of the mountain, this strategic position was used by the Saracens. The fortification gained greater importance during the Norman era in the 9th century, and was abandoned around the 17th century. I liked Pietrapertosa; it's no coincidence that it's considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It has a population of 850, and there are no large chain supermarkets. The parking lot I used was paid from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The price for 5 hours is €4, and for more than 5 hours it's €7. Campers pay an extra euro. There's also free parking in the lower part of town. On Via Speranza, at the base of the town hall, next to the Carabinieri station, there are free public restrooms. I found them open both early in the morning and in the evening, and they were absolutely clean: 10/10. From this point, a path leads up a flight of steps to two panoramic viewpoints.

Nestled in the charming village of Pietrapertosa, La Locanda di Pietra offers a delightful culinary experience that captures the essence of mountain life. This trattoria is dedicated to showcasing the rich flavors of Lucanian cuisine, utilizing local ingredients sourced from nearby farms and forests. Guests can savor traditional dishes like roasted lamb, exquisite cured meats, and artisanal cheeses that reflect the region's gastronomic heritage.
What a lovely spot to get to know and appreciate the food in this part of Italy. This place is very down to earth and relaxed, with a focus on letting the quality of the food shine through. Dishes are made with local ingredients like pepperoni cuschi. The service was stellar and friendly, and we genuinely enjoyed our time here. Grazie mile to the team, our night felt very special!

Beautiful views — sit outside if you can. Food was great, enjoyed the house wine.

Lovely location . We were a bit disappointed with the food. Perhaps an off night given other reviews. I thought the Millefoglie was very dry and overcooked and my wife had the agnello and thought similar.

We were a group of 20 ppl , booked from a day before . The waiters are all super rude and we were told we can have some al a carte and some set menu, then they said no they can't do that. We asked for pepper and they said they don't have. Ridiculous. The place was empty and I can understand why now. Food was good. Much better restaurants in the area.

Another AMAZING trip to La Locanda! Leo, Antonio, and our favorite Italian chef, Roberto, never cease to make us feel welcome. The food is unmatched, the service is exceptional, and the ambiance stands out in a place as beautiful as Rome. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks to our “family away from home!” Gratzie mille, e stato meraviglioso!

(Translated by Google) Creepy but unforgettable experience. These are the two key words to define this experience. We fly in pairs because they were within the overall weight allowed by regulation. A round of applause to the organisation, all super competent and experienced right from the ticket office where they welcome you and explain this experience step by step, reassuring you for the inevitable anxieties. The staff at the departure and arrival points are all truly excellent, attentive to every action they take and reassure you, inviting you to live this exciting experience with serenity. The starting and ending points provide some advice; the routes are characterized by slopes that are not always simple, therefore suitable trekking shoes and no tennis shoes with smooth soles, comfortable clothing, t-shirts, no tank tops, you cannot fly in the summer in a tank top. Small backpack, a bottle of water (the essential one), sunglasses to protect your eyes during the flight. Don't just consider the flight itself but consider the entire experience which also includes the routes and the beautiful and unusual sharing with whoever is doing it all with you, exchanging photographic shots. Absolutely unmissable is the purchase of the 4 photographs in file format that they will send to you on the spot by leaving your e-mail at a fair price of eight euros, 4 truly beautiful HD shots. What are you waiting for, organize your trip to Pietrapertosa to experience this unforgettable adventure. Are you afraid? Fears are overcome by facing them! Avete paura? Le paure si vincono affrontandole!

(Translated by Google) Pure adrenaline. We were here on 05-25-25 but only to visit the beautiful village of the Lucanian Dolomites. During the visit we reached the Angel Flight station and honestly at our age, over sixty, we didn't feel like tackling this adrenaline-filled undertaking. If we're not mistaken, we heard that the cost of a flight per couple is 35 euros including the equipment provided by them. We're publishing some photos of the station. (Original) Adrenalina pura.

(Translated by Google) Flying on a tightrope between the peaks of the Lucanian Dolomites is a truly unique experience! Tip: carefully study the route, the car, where to eat, etc., and carefully consider the schedules because the stations are quite far apart. Everything is very well organized with shuttles, but you'll need to dedicate half a day to the flight. Also, choose at the ticket office if you want a GoPro to film the flight (€20). Highly recommended. The "Angel Flight" lets you whizz between the villages of Pietrapertosa and Castelmezzano at speeds exceeding 100 km/h, suspended in the air. It's not just an adrenaline-filled attraction, but also an opportunity to admire a breathtaking panorama. The feeling of freedom is incredible as the wind whips your face and valleys and rock pinnacles open up below you. All in complete safety thanks to professional equipment.

(Translated by Google) Fantastic experience, very beautiful, it gives you the sensation of flying, having a spectacular view of the entire landscape below and around. The price is worth it, because in the end you make two flights, one outward and one back. I thought the flight duration would be longer, but in the end doing 2 is still fine. The guys who guide you and tie you up are very nice and easy going, once tied up you feel like a salami swooping down.

There were four of us, and we each ordered a sandwich, a medium platter for €20, and some zest, and it was all delicious. Very tasty self-made pasta. The friendly innkeeper also spoke good german. And in comparison to other restaurants in this area the other staff spoke reasonable english and was also very friendly. The restaurant has a nice view around the small village and over the valley. Prices are good for the good quality of food you get there.
