I highly recommend planning a wine tasting at Castel Vecchio! The vineyard is family owned and so peacefull and beautiful. The vineyard was easy to locate and scheduling the visit was simple. Our host gave an informative tour describing the history of the vineyard and the wine making process. This was followed by a wine tasting with charcuterie. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options. Our host spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. We even got to meet the beloved family dog, Mia! Castel Vecchio is a must-see if you’re traveling through the area!

Worth a stop, but it can get crowded and the patio doesn’t have much space to sit and enjoy the wine. The wines are excellent, though — we ended up buying some olive oil and grappa as souvenirs.

They fit us in very last minute for a lovely food and wine tasting and were very accommodating of the fact we had two small kids. It was very relaxed with delicious wines and beautiful stories about the family and the vineyard.

We stayed at Castelvecchio - it was amazing! Hosts are wonderful - dedicated to make you feel special and meet your needs. Wonderful family story and legacy on vineyard. Great scenary and central location for day trips. Accommodation clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The wine tasting started at 5 p.m. and lasted for about an hour. There was a short history about the winery, about making the wine from scratch, and lastly the tasting started. Everyone can taste five wines from their offer. The wines are tremendous, and probably that's why they have clients worldwide. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Historical landmark
Ipogeo Etrusco del Belvedere, also known as the Ipogei del Belvedere, is an ancient site created by the Etruscans in the 4th century BCD. It is uncertain whether these underground structures were used as catacombs or for storing grains and supplies, possibly serving as a refuge during times of conflict. Visitors have the opportunity to explore these intriguing spaces located beneath the panoramic overlook known as 'belvedere.'

San Donato is a charming destination with a rich religious heritage. Visitors can explore several significant sites, such as the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Monterosso and the Church of St. Donatus. The area's ties to ancient Etruscan civilization are evident through excavations and nearby necropolis remains. Additionally, the Badia Camaldolese di Morrona, an 11th-century abbey, offers a glimpse into the region's history.

Excellent local restaurant and close to Hilton Grand Vacations Club Borgo alle Vigne. The restaurant has parking close by and the food was amazing. My daughter and I had the steak dishes which were both amazing! For desert we had the Tiramisu and it did not disappoint. Tips for Americans, there wasn’t someone there to speak English, so be prepared to use a translator app. The menu is pretty easy to understand, but they may run out of things so find one or two options before you order.

I‘m known for long and detailed reviews. I‘m known for drifting off when reviewing an establishment. I‘m known for philosophical deep dives ingrained in my reviews. I‘m giving my readers a break. I‘m not saying anything about this place, besides leaving 5*, posting a picture and few words on one single item I had as Dolci. It doesn‘t look like one, but depicted you find a Tiramisu. It was different from most in the sense that it was more fluid, and you didn‘t need to cough as there wasn‘t any cacao powder on top. It might have been my favorite Tiramisu in 31 years (that‘s a bit exaggerated) of breathing Tiramisus. No more comment.

We had a splendid time at Podere La chiesa all thanks to Palma and Maurizio who took their time to talk us through the history and process of curating organic tuscan wine. I was in awe of the architecture of the entire place not to mention the details of all the art decos displayed. The quiche was definitely a huge plus for this amazing tour! Wow, what a unique winery experience!! So thankful we booked a wine tasting package. The owners were so accommodating and gracious. They had family there at the time we booked. They shared thier delicious torte de Nonna from a local bakery. Everything was first class and the wine tasting was awesome. We ordered some wine to be shipped back to us in USA. The owners are so amazing. Definitely book a wine tasting experience with them when you are in the area. They only take reservations, no walk ins.

An exceptional winery in the Pisa area. 10 hectares of land where 9 different wines are being made. It is worth a visit because of the quality of the wines and that the winemaker/owner is presenting the thinking behind (it is a interesting and well composed mix of architecture, art and wine) and the process of the winemaking. The wines range from 15-105 euros and are made from Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and cabernet Franc. The food was plentiful and of good quality.

Very building, the vineyard is beautiful and perfect for photos. We had a wine tasting there and the 2 owners were impressively nice, the food served with the tasting was exquisite and the wine itself is a delicacy. Podere La Chiesa is a truly special winery nestled in a stunning Tuscan landscape. From the moment you arrive, the views take your breath away – rolling hills, vineyards, and the most serene atmosphere. The building itself is modern yet beautifully blends into its surroundings, with unique grape-shaped windows that are a perfect nod to the craft within. What really sets this place apart is the passion of Palma, the owner. You can tell immediately how deeply invested she is in every aspect of the wine. The level of knowledge shared during the tasting was incredible – not just facts, but real insight into the process, history, and emotion behind each bottle. As an unexpected bonus, there was also an art exhibition on site, which added a lovely cultural touch to the experience. Between the architecture, the wine, the scenery, and the art, it was one of the most memorable winery visits I’ve had. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing laid back intimate couple of hours at the winery. Great architecture, organic wines and light lunch. Thank you for the experience!

We have been twice in the last month and WOW, both times we throughly enjoyed it. The building is set in a stunning location, you are greeted warmly on arrival and given a tour and explanation of the wine making process. There is some art displayed to enjoy as well. Once you sit down to try the wine you are served some delicious food and with each course you get to sample 2 to 4 wines. It's incredibly relaxing and the wines are explained in detail. We tried 8 wines on our first visit and 9 on our second. There is no pressure to purchase wines when you have finished, both times we were there for around 3 hours. The wine tasting cost was €35 each and is worth every euro, pre book before you arrive. We will definitely be returning when we have friends visiting and purchase some more wine .

I visited Pasqualetti Viticoltori winery with a friend during a less profitable period for the vineyard. However, this did not diminish the interest or enjoyment of the visit. The location and wines were highly enjoyable, particularly the passito which I personally re-evaluated despite not typically liking it. I am grateful to Laura for her informative tour and warm hospitality. Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting Pasqualetti Viticoltori winery.
Visiting this winery was a stroke of luck and an unforgettable experience. The owner has a deep, thoughtful, and truly human approach: before tasting the wine, we walked through the vineyards and learned about the vines — their care, the challenges of cultivation, and the patience required to grow them. For me, it was a revelation to discover how old and wise a vine can be! We then saw the barrels where gallons of wine mature — slowly breathing, evolving, taking on character. Only after that came the tasting — a small, intimate, almost family-like moment, where each sip felt richer thanks to the story behind it. The Chianti stole my heart from the first sip, and the white wine was an explosion of flavor and aroma. I’ll leave the detailed descriptions to the professionals, but I wholeheartedly recommend taking a few bottles home with you. This wine isn’t just delicious — it carries soul, care, and a sense of place in every drop.

I must draw the line on this one. I’ve tasted wine all over the world and this was, by far, the worst experience we’ve had. Because so many of you have such positive things to say, I’ll lead with a statement about my background with wine. I’ve been a wine collector for 25+ years; I know very much what I like and have a high standard to meet for wine tasting. I prefer individual experiences, but this was with a cruise group. That said, the quality of their wines was mediocre at best. Her passion for what they do is admirable and I appreciated that she shows love for the process of winemaking. As a cruise-related activity, this was booked as an English-speaking tour. She struggled at times to complete her thoughts and it took forever to finish the tasting, largely due to our group’s size. And the snacks they gave us might have been local standards, but the quality was low. The tasting area (her grandmother’s kitchen) and the winery cellar hadn’t been cleaned or sanitized in some time; there was dust all over everything and the machinery used to process the wine was terribly dirty. I’ve made wine before and if you don’t keep your equipment clean, bad things happen. We actually got up and left early just to get outside.

Great reception of 2 ladies explaining about their wines and in a very friendly way. You really feel welcome here. Their wines are tasteful and affordable. Especially try the Nouvello. We’ll definitely come back again!

Amazing vineyard and wines. Incredibly friendly, family run vineyard with our host providing so much knowledge and warmth. We had an amazing time. Would truly recommend!!

Laura was so friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine was delicious. She took her time explaining their process and each wine we tasted, and went above and beyond to give us suggestions for other places in the area to check out. A beautiful, family run operation with a great outlook on environmental impact.

Wonderful visit in the vineyard with warm and kind welcome from the family. Definitely recommend this beautiful place and Peccioli altogether!

We are staying in Peccioli and we were looking for local wines to take home. This wine cellar popped up and is highly recommended! The hostess talked through every wine they make and which wines compliment which foods, among other information about the process. The price / quality is really good as well. Thank you!

Fattoria Fibbiano is a charming eco-friendly farmstay located in the midst of olive trees and vineyards, just 3.5 km from Terricciola. The accommodation options include country-style rooms and apartments with delightful views of the pool or the farm. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi in communal areas and take a refreshing dip in the pool.
We spent only one night at this magical place, but we would return without hesitation for a few more days. The views down the valley were breathtaking, and the surroundings were beautifully maintained — everything was clean and well cared for. The room was both beautiful and comfortable, and the bathroom, with its tall brick walls, was even more stunning. We enjoyed an opulent breakfast made with fresh, local ingredients such as milk, yogurt, honey, cheese, ham, and homemade pies. Friendly dogs on the property added to the charm. I must also mention the staff — Simona took excellent care of us. She was warm, welcoming, and truly friendly. She also recommended a dinner at Osteria de Ciuchi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you have the chance, definitely go there

We stayed 4 nights at Fattoria Fibbiano during our honeymoon, and it was absolutely magical. The atmosphere is serene and deeply peaceful – exactly what we were hoping for. The views over the Tuscan hills are breathtaking, especially from the pool, where you can relax to the sound of birdsong and watch swallows darting through the sky. We even spotted raptors gliding through the valley in the distance. The family who runs the place is warm and welcoming, and their two golden retrievers made our stay even more special – they’re incredibly sweet and well-behaved, and a joy to be around. This season, they also happen to be leading the wine tour, which was a lovely and personal touch. The wine is excellent. Fattoria Fibbiano is a gem, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or memorable place to stay during our honeymoon. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Fattoria Fibbiano was fantastic! The location is stunning, offering the peace and beauty one expects from the Tuscan region. The accommodation was excellent: we stayed in a large, very tidy room that met all comfort requirements. The facilities, especially the beautiful swimming pool, are well-maintained and contribute to a relaxing stay. The family managing Fattoria Fibbiano distinguishes themselves through their extremely friendly and professional approach. The service was personal and cordial. We highly recommend the wine tour. On a future visit to this region, we will definitely choose Fattoria Fibbiano again!

This place is a dream. From the moment you pull up the tree lined drive, you feel at home. The team is always available to help with any small concern or give you a recommendation for dinner nearby. The family who owns the aguarourismo lives here and treats you like their own personal guests. Feels like staying with your cousins. The rooms were impeccable. Comfy and with kitchens in case you cook. But you probably won’t since their wine bar is delicious and stocked with their amazing selection of wines made here on site by one of the owners. Hard to leave, but we’ll be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Fattoria Fibbiano. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made us feel right at home. The property itself is immaculate, with stunning grounds and a refreshing pool overlooking beautiful views. Having a rental car gave us easy access to incredible day trips in the surrounding area, but honestly, some of our best moments were just staying on the property and soaking up the quiet beauty. Tip: book one of the apartments with a full kitchen. Stock up on delicious local food from the nearby markets and prepare your own suppers, the wine bar has great snacks but not a full dinner menu. Breakfast, on the other hand, was fantastic. This was without a doubt our favorite stay during our trip to Italy. Highly recommend!
Julian C — Google review
My husband and I stayed at Fibbiano’s for two nights in October. It was the most beautiful place we stayed at in Italy, and dare I say, on any of my travels. The design of the property was thoughtful and intentional and the scenery was breathtaking. We also had a wine tour which was well worth it as we were able to taste six of their wines and ended up shipping six of them home. The food was all fresh and local and their breakfast was my favorite by far on our trip. The service was amazing, all the staff were warm and helpful. I would come back to Italy and stay here again and will recommend it to anyone who asks.

We stayed at Fattoria Fibbiano for two nights during our trip to Tuscany last month. It was the most magical & amazing place we had stayed in so far. There are so many reasons what made this place very special: - The drive up to the property are lined with tall cypress trees 🌲 I thought you only see this in Hollywood movie but we found it here - The apartment is very nice and make it feel homely - The staff are very friendly and helpful and even the owner stop by for a chit chat. - They showed us around the winery and wine making facility - Whatever you do, don’t miss the breakfast. Home made and lots of selections ranging from meats, cheese, home made cakes and jams. Feel so spoilt! What a treat…. Yummy! - Two cute golden retrievers Gina & Olivia This place way exceeded our expectations. I don’t think words or photos will do it justice. You will have to be there to experience it for yourself. Can’t wait to go back again for another visit in the future and this time we will stay longer :)

This was AWESOME! The most personalized wine tasting you can ask for. Pepe was so kind. He brought out so much food for us to enjoy that was paired with each wine. And also— his wine was some of the best we had so far on our vacation. Could not recommend enough.

Beppe and his sweet dog welcomed us like family. The bonus is that his wines (all of them) were the best wines that we tasted during our 2 weeks in Italy - hands down! He is the reason we will return soon (and often) to the Tuscany region. We look forward to bringing friends and family to Beppe’s!

Badia di Morrona is a place of historical and religious significance, with sites like the Sanctuary of Lady of Monterosso, Church of St. Donatus, and Church of St. Bartholomew. The highlight is the Badia Camaldolese di Morrona, an ancient abbey turned into a restaurant and winery offering tastings and meals. Visitors can also explore Villa Gherardi del Testa, a stately residence dating back to 1660.

(Translated by Google) Review relating to the Terricciola winery shop. The quality of the products is very good, purchased and tried several times in the past. A guarantee. With this review I intend to report a disservice related to e-commerce (which I hope can be useful to other customers and also to the company itself). Not providing fields to option the fact that the order is a gift I think is an important shortcoming. Unfortunately, I recently experienced an embarrassing situation where, following an order placed online, the goods were delivered to the recipient of the gift complete with a purchase invoice and price indications. I asked for explanations first via email (but received no response) and then in person. The sales assistant present explained to me that usually, in the case of a gift, customers send a separate email to indicate that it is not a personal order. I find it a little too complex, especially for today's times. I recommend taking advantage of this experience and, perhaps, being more helpful to customers, especially when faced with such a disservice.

(Translated by Google) It's worth visiting the abbey to understand the history of the place. The view of the hills and vineyards is spectacular, and the tasting and generous light lunch are delicious. The wines and products are all excellent, with fresh, quality ingredients. You truly feel at home. The only downside is that to get from the wine shop to the abbey, you have to drive your own car along a dirt road that gets all dusty. L'Agona Vini is a family project born out of a shared love for the world of wine, with each letter in its name representing the initials of family members. The winery has garnered praise for its warm hospitality and passion for winemaking. Visitors have been impressed by the serene outdoor seating area and generous tastings accompanied by delectable plates of cold cuts and cheese.
Lovelly experience at l'Agona. Giorgia guided us through the family grapeyards and a fantastic tasting of their (also fantastic) wines. Looking forward to visiting them back. Unforgettable day, thank you so much!

L'Agona was one of the best experiences of our trip to Tuscany. We visited with my husband, parents, and two young daughters, and spent a lovely, relaxed afternoon there. The winery is small, charming, and welcoming. It felt personal and authentic, a refreshing change from the larger, more commercial wine tastings I’ve been to. The wine was fantastic, and Giorgia was incredibly kind and attentive, especially with the kids. She gave them colouring books, little games, and even had snacks for them, which kept them happy and entertained while we enjoyed the tasting. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful, family-friendly wine tasting in a beautiful setting. Giorgia, thank you so much for your warmth and hospitality. This afternoon will stay with us as a special memory from our time in Tuscany!

This family winery offers an exceptional experience with its great wines, truly embodying the essence of Tuscany. The owners are incredibly hospitable and friendly, enhancing the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Michał Z — Google review
If I had to describe the experience and wines in a single phrase, it would be: the triumph of honesty. Don’t expect excessive frills surrounding themes of naturalness and sulfites. Don’t expect an elaborate storytelling about family business. Don’t expect endless vineyard rows, countless barrels, or a complex array of labels. You’ll love L’Agona because it’s essential, direct, going straight to the point and to the heart. You’ll be fascinated by the courage, frankness, and expertise of Giorgia, a welcoming, warm, and knowledgeable guide. And you’ll be amazed by the quality of the wines – exceptional glasses that showcase all the progress and evolution of this small winery. In your glass, you’ll discover the anecdotes, the challenges, and the victories of a business that constantly puts itself to the test – experimenting, gathering evidence, trying again, and creating a high-quality product. Super highly recommended!

We stayed in Soiana for holidays, so it was perfect for us to visit L`Agona within a short 5 minute walk. Andrea explained us the history of L`Agona and we could feel the passion and love for making a high quality wine. After that we could taste the different red wines together with some Bruschetta, Olives, Salame, Salsiccia... Wow, that was really, really great! And also for our kids (6 and 8 years old) there were something to eat, some crisps and non alcolohic :) drinks. That was a great pleasure for us and we would definitely recommend! Locanda La Fornace Badia di Morrona is a remarkable establishment that offers an authentic Tuscan culinary experience. Their menu showcases the exquisite flavors of the Tuscan hills, featuring specialties such as fried egg with truffle, asparagus gnocchi, and pork fillet. The on-site produced Chianti DOCG wine is highly regarded. Nestled next to the woods, this farmhouse provides a serene atmosphere for families to enjoy nature while their children play safely on the beautiful lawn.

Authentic, informal atmosphere. Selection in the menu is relatively small, but everything is home made with fresh, seasonal, locally grown veggies and herbs. Dishes are a bit pricey, but are truly high quality and very creatively crafted, with surprising taste combinations. We thought some of them were brilliant! You should be aware that this restaurant follows the Italian "Slow food" tradition. Nothing happens quickly, and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the company and conversation over a bottle of wine. The house wine is not bad, the white one is actually quite special. You should plan to spend no less than three hours here. Oh, and if you're visiting during the high season, be sure to call and make a reservation. I think you will enjoy it!

Unsatisfied with service and food quality. Service was really really really slow, for 1 started we waited about 1h and 15min, then additional 1h for the 2 main dishes we ordered. No service at all, truly zero attention for the clients. Side dishes were bad, I ordered potatoes and beans. In my opinion the potatoes were prepared earlier, they just heated up. Instead, the beans were from the can, I think.... Chack the photos and see for yourself. Definitely not coming back, definitely would not recommend it. 😔 Dirty Ikea bottle for water and supermarket suger for coffee and a dirty spoon.. All this for a quite high price.

My husband and I ate here while spending 5 nights at our time share in the area. After visiting an ecofarm for a cheese tasting we were told that this restaurant only uses local products. The place seems to be in all woman show. They are artists themselves when it comes to creating the dishes. Lots of vegetarian options. It was the most interesting flavors we had on our trip. The waitress was amazing. It's a small place with a big heart.

The food was rich in flavor. The attention was personal, and the portions were good enough to share to allow us to taste more without worry on over eating.

Great little restaurant open only Thurs-Sun evenings. Reservations strongly recommended. Menu featured primarily pizza, along with selection of slow-cooked stews, and wines from local Terricciola vineyards.

One of the worst experience in my life. I do not recommend, pasta were not cooked, pesto was not homemade. And pizza sauce tasted like tomate paste with water… the service was pretty good even if she admitted that the food is a tourist trap. Do not trust advice from village locals that may have commissions from this restaurant.

Aggressive, lying. You should be ashamed of the attitude yours staff gives. Your waitress is RUDE, she blamed you for her actions. She should stop working in hospitality and stop hating on other types of persons. Ridiculous behavior for a mature woman; count on it she is lying about what she accused us of doing (showing up late) and was her attitude towards our senior dog about??? Shame on her! We wanted to have dinner here really bad! That’s why we booked it upfront. It looked great, simple kitchen with local ingredients. I’m sure that all the 1 star reviews are 100% true and deserved. Horrible attitude. But I also fermly believe that the higher rates a also very true. But then you have to be lucky to be helped by the owner I guess.

The food was amazing and the staff so helpful. I can't recommend this small gem enough. They even sat us when we didn't have a reservation. We definitely need to go back. The Pic is down the road but my wife left a review with the food pics. Ignore the bad review. I'm sure they wrote that for the wrong restaurant. I had eggplant with their sauce and it was to die for. Come and have an awesome meal. Grazie Mille!

This place is a gem. Be sure to look at the map in Google which shows parking just on the outside of the small village. It is then a a couple minutes walk into the village with this place down the hill on the right. This is a small intimate restaurant with maybe a dozen or so tables. The food was amazing - pizza, pasta, etc. The cool Tuscan weather on the porch was a dream and the service was an absolute treat. So friendly and attentive. Easy reservation through Whatsapp via their website.

Pizza restaurant
La Locanda delle Streghe is a charming pizzeria and restaurant located in Terricciola, Pisa. Visitors have praised the special pizza and excellent witches' spaghetti. The place is known for its welcoming atmosphere and kind waitstaff. Additionally, it also serves as a pastry shop with artisanal treats that receive high praise. Guests have enjoyed the fantastic food, particularly highlighting the seafood pasta and Milliefoglie dessert with dark chocolate and pistachio ice cream.
Amazing restaurant with later than usual business hours , which my family and I really appreciated when we returned back from our day tours in Florence. The restaurant has an amazing bakery and desert display in the front and a very large dining area in the back. Lots of parking spots. The wild boar with black olives main dish, was phenomenal. My family and I ate here twice during our short stay.

We are foreigners here, and we do not speak Italian, but, we were greeted with the warmest welcome here. It's an amazing experience to dine here, the food is authentic Tuscany, that's what we're looking for. With friendly staffs to assist us in a cozy restaurant, it's definitely a highly recommend place for you to go to.

We dined on flavorful yet light seafood pasta and a satisfying mushroom pizza topped with rocket/arugula salad. Gelatos & coffee for dessert. Server was warm & welcoming and outdoor dining surrounded by greenery all contributed to a fabulous experience!

The food was very fresh and the service was accommodating. We got in after 12 hours of travelling and they opened the patio a bit early to let us in to sit.

Nothing special: local small town diner with excellent food, bakery and sweets. Full dinner menu, which we’ve tried multiple times, as we stay in a villa 2 miles away. Have never had any dish less than excellent. I also enjoy the baked goods and gelato (though the flavor selections can be limited).

Our first meal in Tuscany wasn't a disappointment. My family enjoyed our tasty meals and the atmosphere on the back patio. The restaurant was filled by 9:00 pm with locals...a sure I dication of a good restaurant.

We have come to eat at this place twice during our 10 days holiday in Tuscany- And the pizzas are simply the best in the area. If you are ever near Terriciola, Latijo and around you must come to this place. You will love it

We had the best breakfast! There was homemade apricot yogurt and other flavors as well, we had a cheese and meat platter, arranged for us, and a cappuccino. And then she threw in a sample of the almond biscotti which was baked softer than the traditional and it just made it so lovely and Rich. Will definitely be our go to breakfast place during the time we are staying here!

While driving saw a sign that said farm to table which was perfect timing. Stepped in to a small shop with some tables and bench seating. The staff was super friendly and patient with my language barrier. I wanted to try a little bit of everything and they accommodate me. The food was fresh and the taste was unique to each helping.

Arrived Casanova nearby late on Sunday. This place is recommended by our Air bnb host and didn't disappoint. Great sharing food and decent house wine. Great selection of deli food and wines to eat in or takecaway. Two sisters run the place very well. Prices are very food too.

Staff are great! Food is well prepared and extremely good!!! Found a couple of dishes with too much oil, but otherwise always a great experience! Fair wine a selection, cheeses are very good! Menu changes every day for some dishes, so a small welcome surprise! Always enjoying returning and well recommended!!!

Hidden gem!! Great place for a quick and authentic Tuscan lunch. Real gelato as well!! Delicious!

This place is a no brainer for excellent, fresh, tasty, good quality food. You can eat in or bring food home. The selection is very large, we have tasted numerous dishes and never been disappointed. The staff are a whole other chapter, they all smile, patiently describe each dish and offer suggestions. Their hamburgers... you will never buy hamburger meat anywhere else.

Everyone here is super friendly. The artisan food off the counter is of top quality. Eat in or takeout the experience is the same because of the fresh cooked food. The parmigiana is to die for!
