Santa Coloma de Farners is a small Catalan town known for its thermal springs, spa tradition, and relaxed atmosphere. Nestled on the outskirts of Caldes de Malavella, Spain, Camiral Golf & Wellness is a haven for both golf enthusiasts and wellness seekers. The resort boasts two challenging courses, including the prestigious Stadium Course which has hosted the Spanish Open thrice. After a round of golf, guests can rejuvenate at the wellness center with options like an oxygen chamber session or a soothing massage.
We played both courses (Stadium & Tour) last weekend and both were simply magnificent! The resort is spectacular and absolutely pristine. We’ve been doing golf tours for many, many years and this place was right at the very top of the list for those we’ve played anywhere. Plus the welcome, service and organisation matched the stunning courses. I can’t recommend this wonderful place highly enough.

⸻ Amazing experience staying here. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and great with kids. I was traveling with my 4-year-old son, and they offered us early check-in with no questions asked — that alone meant a lot. The restaurant menu felt like it was tailored to my child’s wishes. The pool is fantastic, and the views and grounds are absolutely stunning. A perfect getaway. Thank you to everyone who made this experience so special.
Dmitry I — Google review
Fantastic location so close to Girona airport. Rooms were a very good standard. Bathroom was stocked with toiletries and bath robes. Equipped with a fridge and safe. The hotel was great and the breakfast was very tasty.
Nyumbani P — Google review
Top-notch five-star hotel. What truly stood out were the staff, nothing was too much trouble, and they made every effort to ensure a pleasant, memorable stay. Faultless from start to finish. The pool was excellent, with attentive poolside service. The restaurant served great food at dinner, and even late diners were never rushed. Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and the international TV had full sports coverage. Drinks selection was strong. The gym was fully equipped, and the golf courses were in excellent condition. Two small areas for improvement: • The lunch menu could use lighter options, especially in 35-degree heat. • The wellness centre was impressive, but facial treatments felt overpriced, starting at £160. A relaxing stay overall, and only six minutes from the airport.

Unsafe and unresponsive. I was one of the visitors who thought, naively, that a resort chosen to host the Ryder cup would be safe and responsive. Our personal items were stolen. After two days we have not even gotten an apology call. Least any type of accountability on this event in their own premises. Beware! They have answered below claiming they have been in contact with me and are on top of the situation. Both these statements are NOT TRUE. Totally unresponsive so far
Jaime M — Google review
Beware of the security at the future 2031 Ryder Cup. Very disappointed with the incident that occurred yesterday: My friends and I went for lunch, and upon returning to the parking lot, we discovered that our cars had been broken into — windows smashed and valuables stolen. While both the police and the resort’s private security responded when we reported the incident, it is deeply concerning that the surveillance personnel were apparently unavailable that day. Even more troubling is that, as of now, we have not been contacted by anyone from the resort. How can such an incident take place at a private resort that advertises secure premises? How can the resort’s own security team claim they are unable to assist because their supervisor is unavailable? It has now been over 24 hours with no update or communication from the resort, which raises serious questions about accountability — and unfortunately, even suspicion about possible internal involvement. We expect a prompt and transparent response from the resort’s management regarding this matter.
Arturo Z — Google review
Beware of the security at the future 2031 Ryder Cup venue! Our cars were broken into while we were having lunch at Camiral Resort — windows smashed and backpacks stolen. Both the police and the resort’s security responded, but shockingly, the surveillance personnel were “unavailable” that day. Even worse, 36 hours later, no one from the resort has contacted us to follow up. How can this happen at a private resort that advertises secure premises? And how can the resort’s own security claim they can’t assist because their supervisor isn’t available? This incident raises serious doubts about the resort’s accountability and even suggests possible internal involvement. Unless Camiral takes responsibility and improves its security, it’s hard to see how it deserves to host the 2031 Ryder Cup.
Jose P — Google review
Our cars were broken into inside the resort under camera security. Our bags stolen. Security is non existent. The security team did not show us the videos. This is a premium resort. Completely unresponsive and unacceptable for a resort that will host the 2031 Ryder cup. I got a reply (see below) saying Camiral is in direct contact with me. This is completely FALSE. No has contacted me or even try to contact me. They don't take any responsibility on their actions or lack of actions.

(Translated by Google) The telephone number of this place appears on the Internet for making calls and tourism inquiries. I called to ask if X place was open, they told me that only a few days a week due to the low influx of tourists, without telling me the opening hours on those days. Later everyone tells me that the place is always open, that it has no opening hours, etc. I even asked the City Council through social networks, and they told me the same, always open and without opening hours... Doesn't sound like very good service to me as a "tourist office" phone.

Exquisit2.0 is a culinary treasure that promises an unforgettable dining experience. The paella here is nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the freshness and quality of homemade ingredients—definitely worth the wait! The professional staff expertly pairs your meal with exquisite wines from the Duero region, enhancing every bite. Don’t miss out on their cheesecake drizzled with ratafia sauce; it’s simply divine!
We enjoyed a lovely meal in this cozy little restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. There was also nice music in the background that helped create a nice ambience. The waiter also helped accommodate us with vegetarian options.

The paella was super super astonishing! U can feel how fresh of their food quality and everything is homemade without any fast food (which means u need to wait for a while, but definitely worthy of waiting) The staff was very professional recommending us a good wine in Duero area which was a perfect fit with our meal. The cheese cake was awesome with a sauce made by ratafia! This is absolutely a restaurant u can’t miss if u want a high quality food, reasonable price, chill, quite cozy afternoon!! The service was very good.

The restaurant is incredible and much above any expectations ! We chose to stop here in our way to France for a lunch looking for a nice place to eat in the proximity of the main road and with the lack of any attractions around not to waist any time…it has the highest reviews possible within 2 hours of drive around … and every word in these reviews about the food, service and ambiance is true 😊. Worth of a Michelin star ⭐️ definitely, I wonder why they don’t have it yet

Beautiful cosy place, where you have the possibility to taste some rare and great wines too. We had as well some appetitizers and burgers which were great as well, hence we can highly recommend this place. Jaime is an amazing host, which knows his business really well. Hence if you happen to be around, don't miss this place and go to enjoy a glass of wine here (or some).

Bar Sant Martí is a delightful gem that perfectly captures the essence of Catalonian cuisine. During our family trip, we were thrilled to discover this charming restaurant, which stays open late and offers an inviting atmosphere. Sweet Xavi greeted us with his excellent English and suggested a variety of dishes for everyone to sample, ensuring that all dietary preferences were accommodated. The food was simply divine; I can confidently say their patatas bravas are the best I've had throughout my five-week holiday!
Great place, awesome food and super nice service. Totally going back.
Pilar R — Google review
The food quality is good, it she’s I believe we just came not in the best date, 1st of January! We had the New Year’s Eve menu but some products were missing. Salmon, salad, canelone, home made foie, everything was satisfying. The attention and the place were good.
Sofia G — Google review
Beautiful place, with nice friendly staff, but menu we had was not the best. The salmon on toast very dry, the greenery it was served on old and dead. The main course, fries, with a vague cheese sauce and the most sad looking, greasy piece of animal, un-chewable.... the desert should have been served 3 days before....
Jeroen D — Google review
The chef is aimable, educated and speaks many languages. The food (menu) has a fresh daily menu and for the price around 17 € including wine it is one of the best in the neighborhood.
Annaray — Google review
Very freindly environment with reasonably priced and delicious meals. Definitely the best patatas bravas I've had during my 5 week holiday. The staff are jolly and helpful and make you feel at home. The service is quick and the decor is tasteful. They also have a very tasty craft beer on offer here you can't find elsewhere. I highly recommend anybody visiting the area to come in for a drink or a meal, you'd be doing yourself a favour.

We were on a family trip around the area, looking for a place that was open late (22:00) and that had a good local Catalonian food. Sweet Xavi met us at the restaurant and had a perfect English, we had a lot of differences between us in what we can or cannot eat, so Xavi suggested that they will bring all kinds of dishes to the table and everyone could choose what they can eat. The team brought us a lot of delicious food, the atmosphere was lovely, and we all felt at home. Thank you so much, we will definitely come again! :)

Restaurant
Nestled along the stunning Costa Brava, El Tap is a charming bar-restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. Known for its warm ambiance and attentive service, this eatery caters to both meat enthusiasts and vegetarians alike. Diners rave about the mouthwatering hamburgers and an array of tapas that truly capture the essence of Spanish cuisine. While some starters may be on the heavier side, dishes like patatas bravas evoke nostalgic flavors reminiscent of home-cooked meals.
Gr8 food, the service was also good. The waitress said that they did not have a wine list. So we ordered a wine that was dry by her choice. We ten saw a wine list on the side station. I definitely recommend if you are in the area. Try the loko chicken burgers 🍔 😋

Nice restaurant with delicious dishes and reasonable prices! I highly recommend the croquettes mix, specially the cod one, just delicious! A few things to be improved: the quantity of crudités that they serve with the hummus (they only came 3 😓), the carrot cake and the fact that the wine bottle should be opened on the table.

Amazing place, amazing service and a very good food. It seems like a gym bar but it's a very cosy place, recommended we will come again!. It was a 12euros menu a dish with everything, awesome and very tasty.

Cheap, delicious and very welcoming. That would be the words I use to describe my experience at this place. We had two starters, that to be honest I wouldn’t have again just because it was to much food and one of them was “patatas bravas” and they already come with the burger and they are like the ones my grandma cook at home. The second starter “alcachofas rebozadas con salsa romescu” were the least good plate we ordered but was very good too. My girlfriend ordered a chicken salad that she enjoyed very much and I ordered “torito bravo” that was delicious. I normally don’t like to order dishes that I can make at home but this burger made with pulled bull tail is simply delicious 🤤 but this is not al…. We asked for two desserts. My girl asked the yogurt with mango and something else. This area is well known for its yogurt so you can’t go wrong with this dessert, and I ask for the home made cheese cake 🍰 I can still taste it when I swallow 😋 There was a girl serving the restaurant and she really did a good job. It was Thursday evening and the place was quiet which I prefer.
