Historic Sites
Arundel Castle is a historic site with a crenellated Norman keep, gatehouse, and barbican. It offers guided tours and hosts jousting events. The castle's grounds are perfect for picnics and leisurely walks by the River Arun. The annual Tulip Festival at the castle showcases thousands of colorful blooms each spring. Nearby gardens like Denmans Garden and Woolbeding Gardens offer peaceful settings with inspiring planting combinations and scenic landscapes.
We really enjoyed our visit. So much better that we thought it would be. We visited all parts and needed five hours to do so. The castle is stunning to see close up. The interior is vast. The gardens excellent. All very well maintained. Unlike National Trust properties all the guides are paid, not volunteers. They know the history well. The views across the countryside from the battlements and lovely. I recommend visiting. It is worth every penny of the entrance fee.

A must see. The castle is huge and very interesting to visit. One can see the different periods of time of its occupation. The interiors exhibit very well reconstructed rooms. The garden is very rich and diverse. The stumpery was our favorite part, in particular thanks to the autumn colours. Full tour of the castle and gardens took us about 3 hours.
Arthur T — Google review
Stunning castle for history, art, and design lovers! Walking through the castle and keep felt like entering one of my many childhood drawings. The weather was lovely and the gardens made me si happy—there are greenhouses to visit, a rose garden, ponds, and so many wonderful interiors for a great day trip from London. Thank you!
Wan Q — Google review
Such an incredible experience! Visiting from the states, so I don't get a lot of castle tours, but this one was simply exceptional. From the gardens, to the castle tour, to the guides, and the cafe, we left with an amazing experience and tons of stunning shots! Highly recommend planning for a sunny day to enjoy the beautiful gardens. Truly an unforgettable experience! The setups were stunning to see and the staff was more than friendly and informative. Plus, the food was great! We shared a sausage roll and pasty, but ate it too quickly to snap a photo! If you're in the area, or wanting to make a day trip to the south, can't suggest Arundel further! It took us three to four hours to clear the grounds and castle altogether- it's worth the ticket!
Maddy H — Google review
Lovely place. Bit pricey, but the castle and grounds are huge, so you can spend most of the day there. It's really well set up, with a specific route that takes you through the whole castle and learn about its history. The gardens are equally stunning. Great visit. Would recommend.
Ilona C — Google review
Google's 50 picture limit means I can't show you the superior quality of this place. My favourite castle in the country, somewhere I've always wanted to visit, and by a long way the best one I've ever been to. I loved every second of being in here, I'd do it all again. The Duke of Norfolk is a very lucky man, to own this place must be a very special experience.
Simon B — Google review
11th century castle has impressive grounds and you can explore the castle. Very informative volunteers who are happy to showcase the part of the castle they are located in. Beautiful gardens. The gift shop is lovely. One of the first houses to be fitted with electrical lights. Closes soon in early November
June R — Google review
The most beautiful castle I've ever been too. Have visited before pre baby and did the whole castle, but attended again recently to visit the gardens only as had the baby in the pram which is not accessible in the castle for prams. It was absolutely stunning and better than I remembered. Looked extra lovely in the sunshine. Gardens were beautiful. The garden cafe was great, friendly lady there. Toilets also clean and spacious. We also met the lovely little puppy Titus who was wondering the grounds with it's owner.

If you find yourself in the charming town of Arundel, a visit to Butlers Restaurant, Bar & Terrace is an absolute must. This relaxed yet modern eatery boasts a delightful terrace garden where you can unwind while savoring a menu that beautifully blends classic British cuisine with European influences. Established in 1996 by Mick and Corina, this family-run gem has evolved under the guidance of their daughter Sacha and her husband Michael, who have infused it with contemporary flair.
We travelled from Norwich to the area to visit friends yesterday and 7 of us booked in for lunch. We were greeted by extremely polite and willing staff who looked after us from start to finish impeccably. They accommodated some late arrivals in our party without fuss which was also much appreciated. The setting and ambiance of Butlers is amazing. Feels so special. Then to the food.... Wow what a great menu! Every bit of food was well presented, tasted amazing and good value. I have posted a picture of my Wild Mushroom Arancini on Arrabiata Sauce with Smoked Mozzarella. If its on the menu when you go its a MUST HAVE! Main courses were spot on too. They have a great choice of drinks and wine which accompanied our meal perfectly. Well done to Team Butlers! We cant wait to visit again!

One of the best dining out experiences we’ve had, full stop. The atmosphere cosy and romantic but also lively, the food exemplary and the staff were a breath of fresh air to be honest. Watching the 3 or 4 waiting team work together was fabulous. They worked really well as a team, they were constantly on it, energised and attentive. Rather than the usual set up of one waiter/waitress allocated to a set of tables, they all looked after everyone and no one was without a menu, drink or bill when it was needed. Super massively impressed with everything. It was our wedding anniversary dinner and Butlers really made it so for that we thank you, praise you and highly recommend you to any couple or group wanting a very, very good dinner out. What a charm in a charming town. Will be back!

A wonderful evening, beautiful food and friendly service. We had the specials and off the menu and every dish was beautifully presented, delicious and individual in its own right. Will definitely be coming again. A special thank you to Sasha, who was just lovely x

Fabulous meal. Really pleased we ate here. The food was stunning and beautifully prepared. Excellent value for money and friendly service in a stylish venue. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant with decent "nouvell cuisine" food, just the right size. We don't usually have 3 courses, but because the portions were just right... we did. They also have an outside area for those who want a private chat and perhaps a cigarette or 2. Highly recommended, booking essential. It's a shame they have had problems with customers not turning up for bookings lately as that can affect the atmosphere.

Decided to eat here for valentine's day, what a lovely meal it was. Superb ingredients and fillet steak cooked to perfection. Staff very attentive and friendly with a complimentary rose for the girlfriend when departing. A lovely experience overall and will be returning to taste their regular menu! 😄

Fantastic meal. Really enjoyed it at Butlers. The staff were great, atmosphere was perfect, food was tasty, well presented and reasonably priced. Asian pork belly to start followed by the cod/monkfish.
Ben H — Google review
Well what can I say? A lot actually. Visited on a Friday eve for my birthday and was blown away by the service and the food. Asian BBQ pork and the Marinated chicken was prepared to perfection and made for a very filling starter and main course. Others in my party had vegatarian options and two servings of scallops (dish of the day) followed by the cod. All meals were well received. Throw in a bottle of wine and the perfect night was had. Didn't have enough room to fit one of the delectable sounding deserts but the complimentary dessert I received for my birthday was nicer than I had expected. 9/10 would recommend.

Restaurant
Nestled away from the bustling shopping streets of Arundel, The Parsons Table offers a delightful escape into fine dining. Established in 2015, this chic and airy restaurant is celebrated for its menu featuring locally sourced ingredients that highlight the best of British and European cuisine. Chef Lee Parsons crafts an array of delectable dishes, with a particular emphasis on exceptional fish cookery that has garnered much acclaim.
The food, service, and atmosphere were simply fantastic. Parsons Table offers an excellent menu full of modern British options. In addition, there is also a specials board full of delights. We visited for my Mothers birthday lunch and will definitely be heading back again soon. I would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Arundel to also visit here for food, wine and cocktails.

What a gem hidden in Arundel! We went for the 2 courses and it was well worth it. Delicious light dishes that leave you feeling satiated without feeling greasy. I would definitely recommend the salmon for the starter and the catch of the day was the perfect second course. The reason I have given the 4 stars instead of the 5 is due to the lack of goats cheese on my starter but that’s personal preference! Give it a try and see what you think.
Emma O — Google review
This was a great surprise… Lunch at The Parsons Table in Arundel. The seasonal food was fantastic. Innovative, tasty, well presented. There’s real talent here. Friendly service which was both professional and informative. The dining room was small, with a nice vibe. I could have eaten everything on the menu which was complemented by a number of ‘specials’ too. And the warm treacle tart with lemon thyme & passionfruit ripple ice cream the best I’ve ever had. A real stand out amongst many. Three courses for £39.50 is an absolute bargain for cooking of this level. Worth the trip out of London, which combined with a tour around Arundel makes for an excellent day out. Highly recommended.
Matthew M — Google review
We chose The Parsons Table based on their previous reviews and we were not disappointed. We chose the 3 course set menu and every course was 10/10. Liz and her front of house team offered fantastic service too. We would highly recommend.

A delicious and welcoming restaurant with great, helpful, staff a lovely atmosphere and amazing food that looked and tasted divine! Reasonable prices too for what you get! Definitely one to come back again and visit! ☺️

We had an exceptional dining experience at the restaurant. The fish starter and main course I had were prepared brilliantly, showcasing outstanding skill, quality and flavor. The service was highly attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Their gluten-free bread was the best I’ve ever had. The wine list was impressive, offering excellent choices. While the cost is on the higher side, it’s absolutely worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommend!

This restaurant has a quiet professional air that exudes class and refinement. From the owners through the staff it offers fine dining at the highest level. The menu changes, supplemented by daily specials that make this the best (??) restaurant in West Sussex. Savoy trained owner Head Chef through to his Front of House wife, this is a dining experience of refinement at the highest level. I've travelled to 43 countries. Eaten in so called 5* + restaurants all over from Hong Kong to Vancouver. This ranks with the finest. Alongside La Maison Blanche in Paris. Cheap? No. Very classy? Oh yes. Food? Unparalleled in my view. Michelin? Wake up! Tony Perrin, West Sussex.
Anthony P — Google review
A restaurant i can only describe as faultless. It's warm, cosy, nicely laid out without too many covers and the ceiling is (stylishly) covered in acoustic dampening panels which makes hearing your own table easy - something many restaurants neglect i find. The food was utterly incredible, and perhaps, the best "bang for your buck" food ive eaten in the last decade. The pulled shoulder of lamb special i ate was possibly the best main course i've ever eaten, period. Eating out is our guilty pleasure, and despite visiting numerous Michellin stars around the country, all things considered, Parsons Table comfortably enters my top 3 restaurants in the UK. We can't wait to visit again next month.

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming village of Amberley, The Bridge Inn is a quintessential country pub that perfectly blends traditional charm with modern comforts. This inviting establishment boasts a cozy atmosphere, complete with log fires and a delightful beer garden for those sunny days. Known for its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine and hearty home-cooked meals, it’s an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the nearby River Arun or Amberley Chalkpit Museum.
I recently had an exceptional experience at The Bridge Inn, and it truly deserves every one of these five stars. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly attentive, ensuring that my visit was as enjoyable as possible. Their service was prompt, friendly, and made me feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was cooked to perfection, showcasing the chef’s skill and attention to detail. The flavours were spot on, and it was clear that only the freshest ingredients were used. It was everything you could hope for in a great pub meal. The atmosphere was equally impressive. I spent a delightful afternoon in the beer garden, which was beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting on a sunny day. The garden was well-kept, offering a peaceful and inviting environment to relax with a drink. Overall, The Bridge Inn combines excellent food, superb service, and a fantastic atmosphere, making it a top choice for anyone looking for a great pub experience. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Really lovely pub, nice aesthetic. Good outdoor seating and beer garden. Really friendly and helpful staff. Food was lovely. Set us up perfectly for our walk to Arundel!

A beautiful pub with beautiful (and tasty) meals. Thursday dinner was not overly busy at 7pm. The sea bass was exceptional, the pasta special was creamy and flavourful. The Ale was fresh, the cider on tap was Inch's and yes they had a good New Zealand Sauv Blanc. The staff was fun (and patient while we tried to choose our meals from the many nicely described options)

First off great location. An old traditional English pub, with a perfect interior, low ceilings, open fire and a great atmosphere. The food is exceptional. Hats off to whoever cooked my starter. White bread salad perfect. Best meal I have had in west Sussex my a long way. Also a shout-out to the the staff who made my experience here revolutionary and will be back soon.

We came to dine here twice while staying at the Riverside Lodges just over the road. The food and service was flawless, the portions were generous and all our meals were fresh and delicious! We had the beef burger, halloumi brioche, stuffed chicken pasta and sea bass, plus some starters. The food and drinks are very good value for the price you pay. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We look forward to visiting again soon!

The Amberley Museum is a vast open air museum, containing antique cars, trains, buildings and exhibitions dating back to the early 1800s. It is well laid out and has plenty of attractions for all ages including interactive displays on vintage vehicles and old buildings. The museum is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who are happy to answer any questions and provide helpful information. The car show was a highlight for us, but there's so much to see at the museum that it's hard to resist spending time here!
It's been many, many years since last visiting Amberley Museum and it was great to return. Plenty to do and see with great bygone years attractions to see and interact with for adults and children alike. Hot and cold food and drink are available at the cafe but also plenty of picnic areas for you to eat your own food on a nice day. If you're feeling fit there is a nature path to a view point overlooking the museum via steps, with the climb. Great day out.
Alan A — Google review
What a wonderful place! Lots to see and do. Be prepared to spend so.e time wondering around all the different museums, each dedicated to a specific technology and its development through time. Well worth it. We will go again.
Rob K — Google review
Top day out. Easy to get to from Amberley railway station. The exhibits are hugely varied and the nature walks are very pretty. The electricity barn was the most interesting. Lots of volunteers and crafts people around to explain the exhibits. The ride on the train is short but fun. The main cafe was a bit tired inside and could have had more cake choices on offer, but friendly service nonetheless.
Katrina N — Google review
We had a lovely day here for their recent steampunk event, there’s so much to see we don’t have time for it all and lots of interactive features set in a beautiful location. They have an onsite cafe with a great menu for all dietary needs.
Georgina H — Google review
A good amount of the site and exhibits are wheelchair accessible. Lots of interesting information to read at leisure while the younger visitors explore. Great for a family visit with grandparents and fairly priced .
Samantha F — Google review
An amazing working museum suitable for all ages. Lots of fascinating artefacts and pieces of history, with knowledgeable volunteers happy to help. A great day out with lots of different sections to visit. Unfortunately when we attended a few of of the workshops were closed but there was still more than enough to see. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a day out to visit Amberley! Please note the car park is FREE when you register in the museum, don’t get caught out!!!
Caitlin C — Google review
An amazing place, the staff were extremely nice. Expecially the staff in the printing Workshop and the printing were top quality and cheap. The old trains and the buses are a must to go on whilst there. And the food at the limeburners cafe was delicious. However, there is so many options for improvement to make the place better. Now I'm not saying its bad, its a great place and I would highly recommend it. Yet they could have an oldern style sweet shop where the people can watch them make the sweets and purchase if they wish, Or have live actors in the streets, playing oldern characters something to entise people to come back as there isnt much to entise people to wanting to come back.

Just back from a super day at Amberley museum. Had a lovely time wondering back in time with my wife. Super place to visit, suprised how quiet it was for a weekend. Stopped off at the café had a lovely jacket spud each. Prices were very good. Free parking as well. Staff all were clearly very passionate about the museum. Highly recommend you visit.

Bed & breakfast
Nestled at the base of the South Downs, Arun Valley BED & BREAKFAST in Amberley is a charming retreat that perfectly captures the essence of Sussex's picturesque villages. Despite its quaint size, this delightful spot offers plenty to explore. Guests rave about their stay in this historic farmhouse, where comfort meets hospitality. The serene surroundings provide a peaceful night's sleep after a day on the South Downs Way, and waking up to an exquisite breakfast served in a lovely dining room is truly a treat.
Beautiful, just beautiful! We stayed for 1 night whilst hiking the South Downs Way. It was easy access from the trail and the house and grounds are stunning. The view from our room was amazing. It's so quiet, our room was very comfortable and we had such a peaceful & restful nights sleep. The breakfast was lovely and the dining room was delightful. We arrived on a Saturday night & the pub we could walk to was fully booked and we hadn't thought to make a reservation. Kate jumped into action and managed to get us a reservation, thank you Kate. I loved that we could order a packed lunch to take with us the next day too.
Julie P — Google review
Booking for 4 bike riders across the South Downs. No one was available to let us into the house (after 8 hours riding - 5pm on Friday evening arrival). After waiting until 5:50 we made other plans and requested a refund. Very confrontational approach from the host. No refund offered. Got the feeling we were expected to fit in around their social plans. Can’t rate the rooms as we didn’t stay in one. Avoid.
Nathan L — Google review
Close to the South Downs Way, we were so happy to stay in this lovely old farmhouse. The walkable pubs/restaurants were closed for the evening and Kate's husband was so very kind to get us to Arundel for dinner in the midst of running his errands. We had an amazingly delicious breakfast in the gorgeous dining room. It was so handy to be able to purchase packed lunches for our next day's hike. The room was so comfortable and we slept like babies. A fabulous place to stay - highly recommend!

Amberley Village Stores is a local gem offering a variety of locally-sourced produce, including seasonal fruit and vegetables, meat, cheese, bread, milk, wine from Nutbourne Wine and beer from Hammerpot and Long Man breweries. The shop prides itself on quality and exceptional service. It's conveniently located for those walking the South Downs Way and provides everything needed for a quick resupply of food and basic supplies. The village exudes charm making it an ideal stopping point for visitors.
Excellent advice on the south downs way, well stocked for hikers. Fresh bread and veggies and medical supplies. Worth the road walk to it. Friendly staff!

A charming village store, trading on, and selling with pride, local produce. Not cheap, but it's a village shop, selling local produce. I was particularly impressed by the array of "Amberley Village Stores" pickles and preserves (pictures attached). So much so I spent £10.20 on 3 small jars: good value for home produce. Although I was sorely disappointed with the factory produced gloop inside the jars, that was nothing compared to my ire at being taken for a mug. Bramble Foods Ltd., of Leicestershire, which actually produces this slop on a bucolic industrial estate, boasts on its website "Most of our Bramble range can be personalised with your own label… AT NO EXTRA COST!". So it is no accident that these preserves are presented so as to give the impression of being locally produced. Shame on you, Amberley, for taking advantage of naive idiots like me. It wouldn't happen in Ambridge.
Peter P — Google review
Lovely local shop, very friendly and helpful staff and well stocked shop. We pre-ordered some sandwiches from them when cycling the South Downs Way and stopped off here as it is about half way. Sandwiches and other goodies were ready and waiting when we arrived. Wish there were more shops like this around. Also had an amazing selection of tomatoes.

I stopped here while walking the south downs way. It was about 3/4 mile from the main trail. They were extremely friendly and had everything I needed, including food for lunch and dinner, as well as sunblock. I also got tips from the people who worked there about the walk ahead. I would recommend it as a stopping point for anyone who needs a quick resupply of food and basic supplies while walking. The village itself was also very charming.

Nestled in the picturesque village of Amberley, the Amberley Black Horse is a delightful pub that has quickly become a local favorite since its opening in late 2018. This charming establishment offers a cozy atmosphere with 11 beautifully appointed bedrooms, making it an ideal spot for travelers seeking comfort and relaxation. The tastefully decorated restaurant serves up delicious meals, while the private dining room provides an intimate setting for special occasions. Guests can also enjoy drinks on the terrace or unwind in the lovely garden area.
We loved the Black Horse. It is an historic building in a charming quiet village nestling in the South Downs. The public areas are welcoming and interesting with open log fires and comfortable seating. The food is imaginative but also has pub classics. Excellent beer, cider and wine with a good selecton by the glass as well as bottle. Our room was neat and tidy with a huge bed. The staff were unfailingly friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

Excellent food in an upmarket countryside pub. Dining room was relaxed and cozy. Staff were attentive and helpful. Menu had lots of local produce. Gnocchi was tasty but very small for a main (and the price). Other dishes were also on the expensive side.

We ate a phenomenal dinner here. Each dish was the best we'd ever eaten of that type of dish. I especially loved the risotto (fresh, original, and just all around delicious) and pie. The fish was the most tender I've ever tried. At the end, the chef came out to have a chat with us and his passion and expertise is clear. It translated into an incredible food experience. WOW!

Everything was delightful! Wedding rehearsal dinner, breakfast and supper in the charming first floor were excellent - food, service and ambiance. The room upstairs overlooked the village street, bed very comfortable and bath area very clean, modern - housekeeping efficient and pleasant. If I were in the area I would definitely return to the Black Horse!

We stayed at Black Horse Amberley for a few days. The rooms are comfortable and the service is wonderful! Breakfast was perfect and the staff are friendly and attentive. Beautiful countryside setting and the town is like stepping back in time. Don’t miss this gem for a stay or just for a meal and a drink. We would absolutely stay here again!

Really disappointed on my visit on sunday 12th October, visit here semi regularly but this visit has put me off returning. The food was good as it always is, but the service was appaling... Waited an age at the bar to get drinks as the girl there was continually making drinks for those already seated... When we finalky for served and made our way to our table the waitress took an age to take our order.... When the food arrived rhe server had forgotten what food was what so had to take it back to the kitchen to help with identifying the meals.... I ordered a coke mid was through the meal as inwas designated driver, when it arrives it was pale brown fizzy water... I asked the waitress if she could swap it for me, we finished the meal... And waited... And waited.... And waited... 30mins later the waitress came back and askwd if i had been given a replacement drink (shouldnt ahe know that, she was our waitress afterall)... Some more waiting and my cocke finally arrived, but everyone is wqs long since finished with everything. Then none of the staff seemed to be interested in giving us the bill... And they have the cheek to automatically add service on the bill. Im afraid i wont fo back, plenty of other places, with better service, for bettter value. Shame

Great Restaurant, lovely food and service in cosy environment. We sat at the chefs table so had a great few of all the dishes coming out of the kitchen. I had the roast monkfish with linguine and samphire which was delicious.

Guests can choose to dine in the regal Queen's Room or the Great Room, where they’ll be surrounded by beautiful lancet windows, grand fireplaces, and fascinating tapestries.
Very Happy with my choice of Amberley Castle Hotel for my 64th Birthday Fine Dining experience. Great Food, attentive and courteous Service. Pity I was unable to sample any of the wines from their reputable Cellars... perhaps another visit will be in order.

The Boathouse Amberley is a stunning restaurant with a delightful menu and welcoming staff. The decor and location are both impressive, offering a beautiful view of the river at sunset. The food is described as the best experience in a long time, with starters like clams and stuffed courgette flowers, followed by mains such as lobster spaghetti and Tuscany pizza. The portion sizes are excellent, full of flavor and perfectly cooked.
Check out this gem of a restaurant nestled between Amberley and Arundel Castles! The menu is amazing—we indulged in wild boar croquettes and duck ragu pappardelle. If you're tired of pub grub and are craving a true culinary experience, this spot comes highly recommended. Just a 1.45-hour drive from London, with private parking available. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, complete with lovely background music.

Great food, great service and totally at awe with the amazing atmosphere. The decor is a fine touch to add to the place with such lovely experience. Definitely highly recommended. Been back couple of times and very impressed the standards remain the same every time.

Six of us had our lunch here today. Absolutely beautiful location sitting on the terrace overlooking the river. Food was excellent - who knew a crispy aubergine could be that good 😊. Decor inside and out is just lovely. Service is relaxed and friendly and very kindly they moved our table to keep us out of the sun - much appreciated . Will def return.

Wow! Can’t believe we haven’t been here before! Best food experience we’ve had for a very long time. Stunning decor and location. Very welcoming staff. All engaging and friendly. Delightful menu. We had clams and stuffed courgettes flowers for our starters. Excellent portion sizes, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. For mains we had lobster spaghetti and their special Tuscany pizza. Spaghetti was very tasty with loads of sauce. Pizza was lovely a crispy. For dessert we shared their frangipane which was amazing. Everything is so fresh and light. Can’t wait to come again with friends and family.

Came here after a lovely walk around the Amberley hills. The venue is situated well, with lovely views of the surrounding area. The food was excellent, I had steak and my wife had mackerel and we were both really happy. The staff were friendly. I particularly liked the cool breeze that the pub garden receives at the rear of the pub on a hot day like this one! Top notch!

Visited with my partner last night. The decor and the atmosphere were lovely with beautiful outdoor seating. The waitresses were friendly however it was not very busy and our food took over an hour to arrive and cost £70 for 2 pizzas, fries and a 1 small glass of Prosecco as they add a £12.5% service charge on top. Food was not worth the wait.

I would like to highlight the most important thing in this place, it is service. Now, those days it is such an important for both side as a business to be recommended. I have met with very high quality customer service in "The Boathouse Amberley". Besides, wonderful atmosphere, good food. Highly recommend. (P.s. all young ladies - waitresses been amazing, during busy time, look after you very well, with genuine smile. Well, done for great service). Thank You

What an absolute delight to find a place that understands interior design and top quality food. We visited a while back over a busy sunny weekend and couldn’t get in so returned yesterday with friends for a delightful long lunch. From start to finish it was amazing and the food couldn’t have been fresher! All cooked to perfection with generous portions, non of the crazy tasting menu stuff that drives me crazy! The menu changes monthly I believe. I had the monkfish tail for mains and it didn’t disappoint, absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. All tables have been set out well and considered. We all had a lovely view of the river and then moved to the sofa area for our coffees after. I wish I had taken some pictures but we were all too busy enjoying ourselves so I’ve shared some form their website. I really recommend the house white wine (organic and available by the glass) went perfectly with the monkfish. We will definitely return, would love to see it at night also as the lighting has been set out to make for a gorgeous glowing restaurant. Cant fault this place at all. Book it you won’t regret it.
