Art Museums
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is a must-see attraction in Glasgow, offering a diverse collection of Scottish and international art as well as natural history displays. Situated in the historic district of Glasgow Cross, it provides visitors with an opportunity to explore 22 galleries featuring famous floating heads and renowned artworks like Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross painting. The museum also offers exhibitions that provide insights into different time periods.
Absolutely brilliant museum! Can't miss this one when on Glasgow! Definitely worth spending some time here and then some! Setting aside the great architecture of the building itself the collections are absolutely fantastic catering to varying tastes from Natural History to Painting to Design. And to top it all, it's free! The shop doesn't disappoint either if that's high on your priorities 😉

What an amazing museum!! It was the last stop on my list of things to experience on our trip to Scotland!! And it didn’t disappoint!!! The main thing I wanted to see/hear was the 1 o’clock pipe organ performance…. We took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. We had time to explore the museum then at 1 o’clock…. We got some of the best seats and were so excited to enjoy such beautiful music!! What a talented organist!!! Loved how he expressed himself!! He played 7 or so songs!! It was AMAZING!!! And actually the GRAND FINALE to our 30th wedding anniversary trip to Scotland from the USA!! Go visit the Kelvingrove Museum!!

A lovely museum set in an old building and free to enter (donations most welcome to the museum). Pay and display car parking with designated disabled bays £5 per 2hrs at time of posting this review. Wheelchair accessible push button automatic doors to get inside. Lifts to all floors and disabled WC too. Plenty of room inside for wheelchairs to maneuver. The're cafes and gifts shops too. There is Art galleries on one side then there are museum exhibits from dinosaurs to Egyptian mummies and a whole lot more.

So, we started from Edinburgh for a day trip to Glasgow, and without any specific plans, we randomly chose the Kelvingrove Museum. The building was gorgeous from the outside, and once we stepped inside, it felt like we’d been transported back to the 1950s. The exhibits were plentiful and impressive, and what stood out the most for me and my wife was the Dalí painting on display, as well as the 1 o' clock concert featuring the church organ. That was truly magical, and I’d never heard a church organ live before—it’s an experience I’ll never forget! The entrance is free for everyone, and that something i love about Scotland and their free entrance museums policy.
Dimitris K — Google review
Well worth the visit. We had about 3 hours. We saw some highlights and those were great. The building itself is spectacular. It is free so no tickets needed. In Glasgow Scotland
John G — Google review
Interesting museum and lots of artsy things to see! My favourite would be the artworks across the different centuries and the crowd management was well managed. ♿️ wheelchair accessible entrance and lots of space to move around inside, across different floors. There are elevators inside the museum building.
Angie — Google review
Lovely museum with a brilliant range of exhibits - not just Art. 2 gift shops, one for adults and one for children, will a lovely range of items. Is free to enter but you need to pay for parking. We paid £7.90 for three hours which was well worth it. There’s a food van in the car park for hot drinks and a bite to eat. We used the EV charger - lead got stuck in the machine and had to call the help line who wouldn’t release us until the car next to us had disconnected. Not the museums issue at all but worth noting if you’re planning on charging there.

A wonderful place to visit in Glasgow! Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is truly amazing — a perfect mix of art, history, and culture under one beautiful roof. The architecture itself is stunning, and the exhibits are very well arranged. I especially loved the variety — from ancient artifacts to modern art and natural history displays. It’s peaceful, educational, and completely free to enter. A must-visit spot for anyone in Glasgow!

Nature & Parks
Park
Kelvingrove Park, located in Glasgow's West End, is a popular destination for walkers, cyclists, and runners. Established in 1852 by renowned gardener Sir Joseph Paxton, the park sits along the River Kelvin and borders the famous Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. Visitors can enjoy various activities within the park including a skate park, bowling and croquet greens, as well as interesting landmarks to explore.
Park is massive, and something for everyone. They have good size playing area for young children. They also have toilets 🚻 which is a rarity now a day's. Plenty of seat/ benches along the way. On lovely sunny 🌞 day definitely worth a visit. Pack a picnic, have an enjoyable afternoon out. On Dumbarton Rd Plenty of places for food,/ drinks.

Awesome park in the west end of Glasgow with great facilities and restaurants nearby. Playground for kids, skating rink and small football ground makes it a fun place for everyone. A popular and beautiful Hindu Mandir is close by and attracts lot of visitors from the Indian community.

As a visitor from Turkey I truly admire how parks like Kelvingrove are placed right in the city center within walking distance. It is impressive how quiet and calm the atmosphere feels despite being so central. A perfect spot for relaxation and a beautiful walk.

Beautiful green space in the heart of Glasgow. Perfect for a relaxing walk along the River Kelvin, with plenty of spots for picnics, play areas for kids, and stunning views of the city. A must-visit for families, joggers, and anyone who loves nature
Cdakingtamudo — Google review
Despite the cold, rainy, and windy weather, our visit to Kelvingrove Park was unforgettable. The entire place felt like a living piece of history—every corner seemed to whisper stories of the past. The rain only added to the magic; historic buildings seemed to dance under the drops, and the moody sky gave everything a poetic charm. It was one of those rare experiences where even bad weather couldn’t ruin the beauty—it actually made it even more special. A must-see in Glasgow, rain or shine.

A large beautiful park in the city of Glasgow. It has flower beds, fountains, skatepark, bandstand, bowling green, croquet area, ponds, and children's play areas. The River Kelvin runs through the park. There are lots of benches so you can easily find somewhere to relax, listen to the bird song, and watch the world pass by. There is good access for people who use a wheelchair. The paths are wide and hard surfaced. Some are steep, but it is possible to find an alternative route. There are lots of maps, but some of these are up too high for a wheelchair user to be able to easily read them. You can walk your dog here.

Amazing Sunday roast feast to share. Was a birthday lunch and b everything was delicious. Table in the bar area so less formal but lovely to people watch and enjoy the atmosphere. Also true the smokey Whiskey flight - a warm treat on a cold day. Highly recommend.

We didn't eat here but have been to the Òran Mór for a few gigs and I like it! It's usually clean, the bar staff seem nice and the toilets are never messy...a real plus considering some of the pubs I've been to in the area! All in all, recommended.
Stacey M — Google review
Travelled 80 miles to see Curtis Harding. He was tremendous but just as he was getting into his stride he was cut off the Venue closed. Never ever seen a gig end at 10, he seemed utterly bemused and Oran Mor felt incredibly parochial and amateur. Tickets cost £50 for one hour of Curtis. Definitely not his fault though. Wouldn't bother coming to a gig as this venue again as there's plenty other better venues throughout the length and braleadth of Scotland.

An incredible space - bar, restaurant, theatre! If you want delicious Scottish food, a wonderful atmosphere and a fantastic selection of drinks head here. Try the Cullen Skink and a steak. The vegetarian options were also delicious. We had excellent, attentive and friendly service from Abby. We would definitely recommend here to all and I will definitely come back next time I am in Glasgow.

Restaurant
Cail Bruich is a high-end restaurant located near Glasgow city center, known for its seasonal and locally sourced produce. The establishment has been awarded a Michelin star since 2021 and is led by Chef Lorna McNee, the only female Michelin star holder in Scotland. The restaurant's kitchen prides itself on using top-quality ingredients from the country's best suppliers and producers. Guests can enjoy a contemporary setting with calm, neutral tones adorning the walls and seating areas.
This is an exceptional restaurant, where we had the most memorable meal that we have ever had. We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful evening and felt very warmly welcomed by staff. All the service was highly professional. Every course of the dinner menu was exquisite (7 courses + snacks + extra sweets). This menu is expensive but well worth the money. The fish courses were our favourites. I could not quite eat all of the sweet items at the end; I think perhaps it was because of the richness of the previous courses. But each one was exciting and delicious. The drinks mark-up is high but the wine is excellent. So it was a thoroughly delightful evening and we will certainly come again for another special occasion. Thank you.

Exquisite dinner! We walked into an amazing dining experience last night. It was a stunning art gallery of seven dishes beautifully displayed and choreographed perfectly to each table. Each dish was cooked and decorated to perfection. Great teamwork displayed between the kitchen and staff too! We were able to savor each dish with time before we moved onto the next dish. Service was outstanding too.

Phenomenal food and perfect wine pairings. Chef's Table provided an incredible behind the scenes to the kitchen and unique insight with the Chef's presentations. Absolutely made my trip, can't wait to come back!

Exceptional Fine Dining – A Masterclass from Lorna McNee Our visit to Cail Bruich was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional. The wine pairings were flawless – each one thoughtfully selected to enhance the flavours of every course. The standout of the evening was the cod dish, which was without doubt the best fish course I've ever eaten – perfectly executed and bursting with flavour. The outstanding cookery from Lorna McNee truly elevates the entire experience. Every plate was a reflection of precision, creativity, and absolute culinary mastery. An unforgettable lunch from start to finish – Cail Bruich is a true gem and fully deserves its Michelin star.

From the moment we arrived, everyone couldnt have been more attentive - in particular Cat and Siobhan, and the food.... honestly as good as we have tasted - every course was a work of art and so flavoursome - unforgettable treat from start to finish, Alex & Heather

Perfect lunch. Super friendly service, very professional, phenomenal food and really excellent cocktails. 100% recommend.
Robert W — Google review
Probably the best meal I have ever had. Everything was perfect; extremely knowledgeable sommelier, excellent drinks pairings, very high quality ingredients (those scallops!) and the best bread course imaginable. Front of house all superb. Chefs table is a must. Thank you
Helen M — Google review
7 course taster menu is absolutely for the open minded, you have to trust the design in each and every course and I think chef lorna and the excellent staff nailed that this evening. We sat up front in the chefs table, which made the experience that bit extra special for my girlfriend and I. A young gentleman brought us our first few courses / snacks, and they were out of this world. Full of flavour, and the way each cook delivered, presented and spoke about their ingredients shows the passion they have for what they do. Everyone, all staff were attentive friendly and made our night relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. £160 per person plus drinks takes this into a pricey night for a meal, but on this special occasion, I deem it certainly worth the money.

Southeast Asian restaurant
Ka Pao Glasgow is a trendy restaurant located in the basement of a converted garage in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens. The venue, which has a buzzy atmosphere, offers a slightly more focused menu than its older sibling, Ox and Finch.
Why isn't this 5 stars across the board. Nice fresh ambience, always full, friendly staff and mind blowing Thai food. There's a good reason it's Michelin guide recommended! The fried chicken, the pork and marrow sausage, duck breast, cucumber salad, beef tongue - and several others we ordered. Big bold punch flavours, generous servings and more than fair pricing- I'd be back often if I didn't live 5700km away! And the corn ribs!! Don't sleep on this place.
Ryan R — Google review
Lovely Asian fusion place in Glasgow offering some spins on the typical choices you get from Asian restaurants! Great service and food was brilliant, really interesting dishes and definitely will make you try new stuff, recommend getting a few plates to share between everyone to try it all out
Lee M — Google review
Although Ka Pao describes itself as an “Asian restaurant,” the real heartbeat of its menu is unmistakably Thai - not in a traditional sense, but through a refined interpretation of flavours and techniques. Ka-Pao means basil in Thai. Every dish bursts with robust, layered taste - bold yet balanced, fiery yet nuanced. The chefs have a masterful grasp of herbs and spices, weaving complexity and aroma into every bite. I started with the salt and Szechuan pepper oyster mushrooms with pickled mooli - a dish that immediately evoked palo, the comforting Thai-Chinese herbal stew, but reimagined in a crunchy, aromatic form. The cured yellowfin tuna with kiwi, mint nam jim and macadamia was a brilliant play on Thai larb — fresh, zesty, and full of contrast between acidity, herbs, and nutty richness. Finally, the southern yellow curry of chalkstream trout offered deep, fragrant layers reminiscent of southern Thai curries, subtly nodding to the creaminess and spice of kanom jeen sauces. Service was warm and intuitive, perfectly matching the restaurant’s lively yet relaxed atmosphere. With its inventive interpretation of Thai flavours and meticulous execution, Ka Pao stands out as one of Glasgow’s most exciting dining experiences - vibrant, soulful, and truly unforgettable. The restaurant located at basement level but both stairs and elevator (wheelchair-friendly) are available.
Pui T — Google review
Always our favourite place to come for food when we come to Glasgow. We always get a selection of dishes we haven’t tried before and they are always 10/10. The flavours are amazing. The oyster mushrooms rooms are our favourite.

Amazing food and really cool atmosphere. Really great for coeliac/gluten free - staff informed of all the dishes that were/could be made GF (almost the whole menu). The fried chicken is a must!!
Emma L — Google review
The best dish we tried were the satay corn ribs - they were delicious. The caramel fried chicken we had was good, but a bit too sweet. The green curry had hardly any meat in it and far too much aubergine which was quite disappointing. The padron peppers were class. Eton mess was not an Eton mess.
A S — Google review
My experience at Ka Pao was exceptional. From the unique and flavorful starters to the gorgeous mains and brilliants desserts by Chef Ashley, every aspect of this meal was perfection. Service was excellent and attentive, atmosphere was extremely lovely. Cannot recommend this gem enough.

We booked having never been here before, but will definitely be back. The foos and service were top class. We decided having never been, to let our server Alled ( hope I spelled your name correctly) choose our dished for us and we were not disappointed. Every dish was delicious. Would recommend any choices that the staff make. The prices were surprisingly cheap for West end prices which also reflects the staff honest recommendations based on food taste rather than upwelling. Top class from start to finish. Rank you Kapao for an awesome experience, we will be back.

Mother India's Cafe is an informal Indian dining spot with a tapas-style concept, offering an inviting and bright space for diners. It has multiple outlets in Glasgow and Edinburgh, including the original restaurant in Glasgow's West End. The cafe provides an ideal way to enjoy Indian cuisine through small, shareable dishes or the opportunity to sample various flavors when dining solo. Located opposite Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the cafe features simple decor with a bustling atmosphere during peak times.
Delicious lamb chops, peshwari naan and tikka masala (i only had the gravy, and that was delicious too!). Lovely staff who accommodated my requests. Highly recommend. Perfect way to spend an afternoon after visiting the Kelvingrove Art gallery just opposite.

Delicious fragrant curries Came here with a couple of friends, it was a little spendy, but the depth of flavour in the curry we had was top tier. I ordered a chicken madras, asked for proper spicy, but got white boy spicy nonetheless... ah well. it was really tasty though 8/10 Naans were great, fresh and tasty, paired perfectly with the curries.

We got a couple things to share between two of us which is always the best way to eat Indian food! To start we got some spiced onions and popadoms (obvs) and also chicken pakora and some cauliflower pakora which was a special. All of this was soooo delicious. I’m not really a cauliflower person but there’s something about cauliflower pakora that’s just so good! Then for our main we shared a veg Thali tray which was a Tuesday special and only £10.95! We went for Channa Daal, Aloo Gobi, rice, chapati, raita, and salad. We also got a garlic chilli chicken and some extra rice. Again, everything was absolutely perfect, full of flavour and nice portion sizes to be able to try a bit of everything. I would definitely go back as everything was top notch and it was super affordable as well!

Down to earth venue for quality Indian food. We visited on a Tuesday afternoon so it was pleasantly quiet. The building looks like it is a former pub, but has been converted and fitted out with some Indian memorabilia and photographs from the Mother India cookbook on the walls.

Mother India’s Cafe offers a truly delightful Indian dining experience. Even with a queue, the waiting staff were incredibly attentive, making sure we felt looked after from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious. We particularly appreciated how the staff took such pains to ensure we didn’t accidentally order anything containing ghee, showing a genuine care for our preferences. The Chana Dal and veggie pakora were an absolute triumph—simple, yet exceedingly flavorful. This is a must-visit!

MacTassos is a genuine Greek eatery located in Glasgow. It is a family-owned establishment that was established in February 2017. They specialize in Greek gyros and offer a variety of other delectable Greek dishes on their menu. MacTassos aims to bring the essence of Greece to its customers with every visit, providing an authentic taste of Greek cuisine.
📍Place: a food truck located right next to Kelvingrove Museum, so you can have a great view when eating your gyros. 🍛 Food: You can have your gyros pita with pork chicken or mixed (all of them cost £6.9), I had the mixed. It's very simple with original Greek pita bread, tzatziki, tomato, onion and fries. Overall it tasted good, a little bit dry to my taste and the meat could have been more flavourful, but generally speaking I enjoyed it. 👩🏻‍🍳 Service: the girls are super sweet and make the order very quickly.

Mactassos is a hidden gem in Glasgow. The friendly owner and employees create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The energetic vibe is infectious and sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. They serve delicious Greek gyros, made with chicken, pork, or both. The gyros are wrapped in a warm bun and filled with fresh fries and other greens that complement the flavours perfectly. The seasoning on the gyros is a secret ingredient that elevates the dish to new heights. Overall, I highly recommend Mactassos. The prices are reasonable, and the food is simply outstanding. It’s a must-try when you’re visiting the Kelvingrove Art and Gallery Museum.

Sometimes just keeping it simple is the key to success. MacTassos has been serving up top tier gyros for years and it never gets old. Often imitated but rarely bettered. Served with an authentic smile the quality and portion size is unbelievable value and genuinely delicious. One of my favourite eats in the city. Megálos!!

We absolutely loved our pitas from this wonderful place today! Both of us ordered the pork pita, and the balance of flavors was wonderful! These things are a full meal with layered levels of flavor. The tzatziki sauce was particularly on point… But really everything was! They put a bit of extra seasoning on top just before either handing it to you, or putting it in a bag, the choice is yours. By the way, I advise getting it bagged. That way, you can rip open the top a little at a time and eat it with a fork :-) The pita becomes an edible plate. Prices were very reasonable with each Peter wrap coming in at £6.50 with water at £1.40. The food was super fresh and very well-made. But beyond that, the service was friendly and we enjoyed a great chat with the staff. Other customers even joined in, and we had Good chuckles all around. When you’re doing the museum circuit on the west end of town, this should definitely be top of your list for lunch. There are plenty of benches around the park nearby and there a few chairs provided at the MacTassos.

We saw this while planning for the trip, and knowing it was closed on Mondays, we made a plan to come by before we left town specifically for the gyros. And they sure didn’t disappoint! Delicious, succulent meat, generous portions, warm service - they even snuck in an extra baklava for us so we didn’t have to fight for it 🤭 5 stars, would definitely come back!

I was impressed by the gyros from the very first bite—the ingredients were perfectly cooked, and the seasoning was just the right finishing touch. Everything came together beautifully! At lunchtime, my fiancé brought me a roll to try, and by the afternoon, I was dragging him back to get a full takeaway box! Perfect street food vendor! After taking a walk in the park, this is a perfect stop for a quick bite to eat. Menu is reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of the food. Delicious! every bite was wonderful, beautifully seasoned meats and fresh fillings. Staff were very friendly and welcoming to every customer. Just listening to the staff banter was enough to keep a smile on our faces. Although seating was limited, it was still a great place to sit and enjoy the delightful food and atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys greek style food. Very tasty and fresh. Thank you to the staff, tip well deserved 👏 👍

George Square, a civic square in Glasgow, is named after King George III and was laid out in 1781. The square is adorned with an impressive collection of statues including Queen Victoria, Robert Burns, James Watt, William Gladstone, and Sir Walter Scott. The Italian Renaissance-style City Chambers and the Merchants' House are prominent buildings surrounding the square. Additionally, the Town Hall with its 230-foot tower stands at the east end of the square.
George Square is truly the heart of Glasgow-vibrant, historic, and full of charm. Surrounded by stunning architecture and iconic statues, the square offers a perfect blend of culture and beauty. Whether you’re passing through or taking a moment to relax on a sunny day, the atmosphere is lively yet peaceful. The view, especially with the City Chambers in the backdrop, is simply breathtaking. A must-visit spot that captures the spirit of Glasgow beautifully.

George Square is a central spot in Glasgow with a lot of history and a great atmosphere. 🏛️ It’s surrounded by beautiful buildings, and the statues throughout the square add to its charm. 🗿 It’s a nice place to sit and relax, especially on a sunny day, though it can get quite busy. 📸 Sometimes, there are events or gatherings happening, which makes it even more lively. Definitely worth a visit if you're exploring Glasgow

George Square is a famous place in the centre of Glasgow. There are big statues, old buildings, and usually many people around. But now the square is under construction, so some parts are closed and not so nice to see. It’s still a good place to walk by, but not the best time to visit until the work is finished.

Hi! Visited George Square for the first time with my kids and friends, and it was a wonderful experience! The excitement of feeding the pigeons was a highlight for all of us—especially for the kids. The square has a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, with beautiful architecture and plenty of space to relax and enjoy. It’s a perfect spot for families and friends to spend quality time together. Definitely a place we’ll visit again! Highly recommend!

Beautiful square and park area in Glasgow. Interesting statues around the square. Also, it is where the Memorial for those from Glasgow who served in WWI and WWII. Plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the outdoors. We really enjoyed our visit to George Square on our trip to Glasgow.

St. Enoch Centre

4.1
(16691)
Shopping mall
Located at the corner of Buchanan and Argyle Streets in Glasgow, St. Enoch Centre is a modern three-story mall that offers a wide array of shopping and dining experiences. It features popular high street fashion brands such as H&M, Topshop, and Superdry, along with a large Debenhams store offering fashion, beauty, and homeware options. Families can enjoy visits to The Disney Store, Hamleys toy store, and Mothercare flagship store for children's essentials.
The St. Enoch Centre is a great one stop shop for a mainstream shopping trip in the city centre. The glass-domed building is bright and spacious, and it's fantastic to have a weather proof environment, especially on those classic Glasgow rainy days! You'll find all the big high street names here like H&M, Next, Boots, and Schuh, making it very convenient for general shopping. The food court on the top level offers a good variety of quick and easy options for a break. The centre is generally clean and the facilities are well maintained. The main downside, as others have noted, is the parking. The car park can get extremely busy and the pricing is on the steeper side. It can also get very crowded on weekends and during school holidays. It may not have the luxury brands of its neighbour, the Buchanan Galleries, but for reliable, convenient, family friendly shopping, St. Enoch Centre does the job very well.
M A — Google review
The centre has been open since the late 80s but is still stunning inside. It's been revamped and for many years has had a cinema. The Vue is one of the best with comfy recliners and is well laid out. There's plenty of eateries including Wagamamas, McDonald's, KFC and more. Most of them are within a good court but some are nearer the cinema. There are some fun places like boom battle bar. The centre has a bungee of shops including tj Hughes but there's definitely less shops than there used to be. The toilets are in a very poor location which brings the score down, as does the car park which seems to be built for the thinest cars in the world.
Graeme L — Google review
St. Enoch Centre is a mall located in central Glasgow, near the Clyde River and St. Enoch Station. It’s just a short walk from Buchanan Street. The mall offers a variety of stores and a food court, as well as a cinema and grocery store. There’s plenty to do inside, and the layout is in-and-out, making it a convenient place to spend a few hours. Overall, I would say St. Enoch Centre is a decent mall with a variety of things to do. It’s also conveniently located near Buchanan Street, making it a great place to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping when you’re caught in the rain.
Kevin F — Google review
St. Enoch Centre in Glasgow is a vibrant and convenient shopping destination. The mall is spacious, modern, and well-organized, offering a wide variety of shops, from high-street brands to specialty stores. The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. It’s a great spot for shopping, grabbing a bite to eat, or simply enjoying a day out in the city.

The Clinique team have been fantastic. Both girls have supported me throughout my skincare journey, and over the years I’ve gone from acne-prone, blemished skin to a clear, healthy complexion. Their knowledge, advice, and genuine care have made such a difference.
Iqra B — Google review
The worst car park in the world!!! The machines where you have to pay to get out are a joke and they have been for a year at least. Can’t pay by phone or card, cash only.it’s a disgraceful service and no one seems to care. Out of order machine on each floor but apparently there’s a telephone number you can call if you have a problem. Will NEVER use this shambolic excuse for a car park again.
Joe — Google review
It doesn't feel as empty as it had for many many years. The cinema is a welcome addition I think, though I still haven't visited it. I think I'll be a lot more likely to as the Cineworld in town is closed and another cinema won't take its place until next summer. That leaves GFT, Everyman and Vue in St Enochs as nearby options. I think St Enochs will probably always feel rougher than Buchanan Galleries, though the food court is far superior in layout and in choices. St Enochs is one of few reasons I'd supject myself to walking down Argyle Street.
Melcyeh — Google review
Mall’s location is very good . Good mix of brands availability for a family shopping day. A large food court on second floor with a diverse selection of food places to eat from pastries to noodles to burgers to fish n' chips. Ice cream kiosks and niche drink places like Mooboo. 5 levels of parking available. Toilet’s location wasn’t convenient. It was on some really top top floor and smelled bad😭

Shopping
Princes Square Shopping Centre, established in 1988, is a premier shopping and dining destination in Glasgow. It houses a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes for visitors to enjoy. The center features designer retailers like Kurt Geiger and Vivienne Westwood as well as independent boutiques such as COS and Kate Spade New York. Additionally, it offers a diverse range of dining options including Spanish tapas, Italian cuisine, and grill selections.
Princes Square is a hidden gem right in the middle of Glasgow’s busiest street. Once you step inside, it feels like you’ve entered a completely different world—elegant, calm, and full of charm. The interior design is stunning, with its glass ceiling, stylish staircases, and artistic details. It’s not your typical shopping centre; it’s more like a blend of boutique shopping, fine dining, and art. Perfect place for a quiet coffee, a classy dinner, or just wandering around in style. A must-visit if you’re in the city centre!
Mrs. G — Google review
The shopping centre was nice! It had lots of shops to choose from. From food to desserts to clothes, they have it all! They also have many luxury shops to pick from if you have a larger budget. The actual design of the building was pretty neat too, with the shops accessable from the inside AND the outside. All in all a great shopping place, although not too many things to offer though.

Princes Square is such a delightful place to visit! The building has a fun and stylish design, with beautiful architecture and a lively atmosphere. Inside, the mix of shops, restaurants, and the open central space makes it an enjoyable spot to explore, relax, and take in the charming surroundings.

Although it's a beautiful shopping centre with many floors with lifts, I felt it was a bit empty and much space was wasted. I specially liked the Louis Parfum shop at the terrace, the girl attending is very kind and will help you with any doubt about any fragrance you are looking for.

This place is wild, crazy cool building. Totally dead before 10 am, and many of the shops seem to be on the expensive side, but I had an excellent time sipping hot chocolate on the balcony.
Lydia H — Google review
Princes Square is a beautiful shopping and dining spot - the building’s interior design and architecture are elegant, with a lovely glass roof and stylish decor. It’s a pleasant place to walk around or grab a coffee. However, the selection of shops is quite limited, focusing mostly on high-end brands. It’s not the best place if you’re after variety or budget options. Worth a visit for the ambience and restaurants, but not ideal for serious shopping.
Oliver J — Google review
Princes Square is one of Glasgow’s most beautiful shopping destinations, located right on Buchanan Street. Unlike a typical mall, it’s set inside a restored 19th‑century building with a stunning glass atrium and ornate interior design — it feels more like stepping into a piece of history than just a shopping centre. - Shopping: A great mix of designer boutiques, luxury brands, and popular high‑street stores. It’s perfect if you want both high‑end fashion and everyday essentials in one place. - Dining: The restaurants and bars here are stylish and varied, offering everything from casual bites to fine dining. It’s a lovely spot for lunch, dinner, or even just coffee and cake. - Entertainment: The addition of a boutique cinema makes it more than just a mall — you can shop, eat, and catch a movie all under one roof. - Atmosphere: The architecture is breathtaking. The glass roof floods the space with natural light, and the décor is elegant and unique. Even if you’re not shopping, it’s worth visiting just to admire the building. - Convenience: Centrally located, easy to reach by public transport, and surrounded by other attractions on Buchanan Street. Overall: Princes Square is a must‑visit in Glasgow. It combines shopping, dining, and entertainment with incredible architecture, making it one of the city’s standout destinations.

This used to be some where special It is still mostly nice however there are elements of a cheap shopping mall creeping in especially the entrance and some cafes upstairs. Extra dining area in the downstairs circle don't help. Glasgow was flourishing again in the 90s but recently the council have allowed some unfortunate redevelopment which is bland or actually ugly.

Buchanan Galleries is a modern and spacious mall in Glasgow, housing over 80 well-known retailers, including popular fashion brands like Next, Warehouse, and River Island. It also features unique stores such as the Scottish Design Exchange, offering a variety of affordable products created by local artists and designers. Located at the top end of Buchanan Street, this shopping destination includes a John Lewis Department Store and offers a mix of dining options and entertainment facilities such as cinemas.
Great shopping centre right in the heart of Glasgow. There’s a good mix of well-known brands like John Lewis and H&M, as well as some smaller stores. The place is clean, well-organised, and staff at the info desks are friendly and helpful. One of the best things is that everything is indoors – perfect for a shopping trip, especially with the unpredictable Scottish weather 😉. It’s also really well connected, just a short walk from Queen Street Station. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the limited food options – a few more cafés or restaurants wouldn’t hurt. Still, you can grab a quick bite at Pret or Greggs. Overall: highly recommended, both for locals and visitors!

Clean and bright. No seats available if you get tired and the eating are was packed. It was still a very nice shopping area and at least bathrooms were free. I was pleased to see Whitley Tea, even though they discontinued my favorite tea, but they did make it into cocoa. Huge selection of cocoa. H.M Samuel was there as well.

Not a bad place to visit took me a while to get to the toilet as its located on the top floor which is not good when you get old like me. The usual shops are here but there are a few different ones to explore so remember and check your bank balance before going.

A nice mall with quite a few places to eat or shop at. I didn't walk through the entire building, but from what I saw and where I was there were quite a few places to shop and get a bite to eat. It's multiple levels and there are escalators connecting each floor so you can easily get around.
Omar G — Google review
Generally good place to browse. Can be quite busy though at times. Especially during weekend or holidays seasons. Staff in stores are generally friendly. There's a food court at the top floor with fast food. Usual stores you would expect. Also it's right in the city centre so there's shopping all around. You can also walk from here to St Enoch center which is down the road about 10 minutes walk away or so.

Glasgow Cathedral, also known as St. Mungo's, is a significant example of Scottish Gothic architecture and the oldest building in Glasgow. It was consecrated in 1197 and is the only medieval cathedral to have survived the Protestant Reformation in 1560. The lower crypt houses the tomb of Glasgow's patron saint, St. Mungo. Visitors are captivated by its stunning stained glass windows and ornate interior.
Glasgow Cathedral is one of the iconic buildings to visit in Glasgow. Its breathtaking and majestic Gothic architecture is evident both inside and out. The intricate details of the cathedral reveal the rich history of this enduring structure. The cathedral is free to enter, but donations are recommended for the restoration and maintenance of the building. Please note that the last entry is at 4:15 p.m., so you’ll need a full hour to explore everything inside. There’s also plenty of information to read along the way.
Kevin F — Google review
Despite the advised booking of free tickets online, we discovered upon arrival that no one was checking them, and we were permitted to enter freely. We were fortunate to join a free guided tour immediately. The volunteer guide provided excellent context, explaining the history of the cathedral and the reasons for its construction in that location. There is a great deal to see, and visitors who appreciate religious art and history could easily spend several hours inside.
David A — Google review
Stepping into Glasgow Cathedral is like stepping back in time. The architecture is incredibly detailed and mesmerizing, and the history within its walls is palpable. It's a truly unique experience to walk through such a historic place. Plus, it's free to enter, and you can get audio guides for a small fee to learn even more. The cathedral is really well-maintained, and it's a great visual experience. Highly recommend

First visit inside, had walked past it on numerous occasions in the past. A wet Saturday afternoon, the cathedral and the square looked amazing. Lots of tour groups, the place was a buzzing. Once inside, the atmosphere was very sedate and respectful. Beautiful , building and the stain glass windows just add to the spectacular nature of this building

Glasgow Cathedral is right in the centre of town and a great place to start your visit in Glasgow. It’s a popular site so it’s quite busy, but well worth the visit, there is lots to see inside. It has a huge towering ceiling and there are lower floors to see with spectacular columns, supporting all above. Outside beside the cathedral is a large wonderful cemetery well worth a wander through.

Sugo Pasta is a trendy restaurant located in an industrial-style setting, offering traditional Italian pasta dishes. The restaurant specializes in hand-made fresh pasta, with a menu inspired by regional Italian kitchens from Lazio to Lombardy, Puglia to Piedmont. Diners can choose from nine different plates featuring comforting options like slow-cooked beef ragu on pappardelle or San Marzano tomato sauce on rigatoni.
I can honestly say that I have never been to a restaurant with as electric an atmosphere as this. It was quite literally buzzing and the vibes were immaculate. Situated right in the city centre, it was packed to the brim and had a compact menu of equally brilliant options. Whoever designed the interior, captured the mood this place would evoke to perfection. I recommend so so much to everyone
Daryl M — Google review
The pasta was tasty. However, the portion was underwhelming, there is no option to get a bigger size which is unfortunate. The price is normal for pasta restaurants but you could genuinely make 3 times as much at home for the price. If you are a group of people that want a place to chat and eat some good food and you don't have big appetites then it's a good place. The staff were very nice.
Ivan M — Google review
Very good pasta, but with a little downside. We had to wait 25min for a table (Saturday at 5pm, you can not reserve beforehand), but when we left, the queue more than doubled. Food arrived quickly, tasted very good but came in rather smaller portions. Service is friendly. It’s very loud inside though. The tiramisu was great!
Johannes R — Google review
Ended up eating here twice during our trip from Ontario. Would have to say the best fresh pasta so far! Would highly recommend if you are visiting Glasgow. There will likely be a bit of a wait if you go here during peak times.
Storms P — Google review
Great flavour, we’d definitely come back again! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We chose the specials of the day. First was the duck confit tagliatelle with tomato sauce - the duck was tender and perfectly spiced, and baby tomatoes were delicate, juicy, and didn’t overwhelm the duck. We also got the hake ravioli with langoustine bisque, served with a crisp pieces of samphire. The bisque was rich and fragrant, and the hake inside the ravioli was fresh and delicious. Both dishes were outstanding with unique and memorable flavours. One criticism: both pastas were undercooked beyond al dente. The ravioli was a bit crunchy in places, and while the tagliatelle was fine, it leaned towards chewy. That said, we still enjoyed every bite, which says a lot about the quality of the flavours, truly special. We finished with the tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious - one of the best we’ve ever had. Prices were reasonable, and even though it was busy, we were seated quickly. Sitting near the open kitchen was a lovely touch, great to watch the chefs at work. Overall, a fantastic experience with creative, high-quality food. (Though I might recommend requesting a softer pasta.) Highly recommend!
Kate — Google review
There are always line ups out the door for this place and they don’t take reservations. Always super busy so we decided to come at 3 pm on a Saturday. They told us 49 min wait but we only waited about 30 mins. There are a lot of people inside and they seat two groups at the bigger tables so it does get a little squishy. It is also VERY loud. Kinda hard to talk and hear each other. But they serve the food so fast and there’s a super quick rotation. We got the #4, #7, #8. All were delicious and al dente which was nice! And you can see everything get made right in front of you! All the pastas tasted incredible and I would definitely go back to try different ones. The only thing is it seemed like everything was a money grab. You get charged (on certain dishes) to add cheese, you get charged for sauce on ice cream (vanilla ice cream is already £4!). The only thing on the menu really is pasta. Was expecting some kind of starters but they only have a few side dishes which are really expensive for what they are. Now I know the place is a pasta place, and they do the pasta well, it just felt like I needed a little more. One small plate of pasta was good but complimentary bread or some starter plates on the menu would have been nice. But if you’re just looking for a little plate of pasta, would def recommend. But I don’t think this is a good place for like a gathering, or bday party, or first date- it’s just too loud, you can’t reserve tables, and people are sat at your table.
Don B — Google review

Step into the time machine and experience the 1930s glamour at Rogano, a renowned dining spot in Glasgow. This Art Deco gem has been serving delectable seafood since its inception in 1935. The elegant interiors with opulent walnut paneling, brass fittings, and maritime-themed decor will transport you to a bygone era of sophistication.
When visiting the Rogano it was a very relaxing atmosphere. The waitress that served us was very helpful and attentive. The meal was lovely and the cocktails went down a treat. Would highly recommend the skiitake haggis dish. Wasn't my usual way to have haggis but was unusual and very delicious.

Deserves way more than 5 stars! Old school posh decor that makes it feel like an immersive experience into the 80’s but it really works! The food was excellent! Best scallops I’ve ever tasted. Reliable tasty oysters.

Had a fabulous two course lunch coffee, teas & petit fours with family. The staff were excellent and served well, special mention to our server as it was only his 3rd day on the job. Very well done. We were complimented on our choices from the menu. It was a tough decision to choose just one meal so return visits are in order. We were given plenty if time to read the menus and decided to skip starters and have desserts instead. Food is cooked to order so we didn't mind a shirt wait and filled than time with some delicious warmed flavoured bread rolls, onion and olive. Scottish salmon fillet, Scandanavian cod and pork loin arrived, well presented, excellently cooked and tasted amazing. Desserts of Raspberry Panna Cota, brownie with vanilla ice cream and an orange & Almond cake with syrup and orange curd ice cream, all were beautiful. Somehow we managed to have space for the petit fours, coffee & teas. The whole experience ensured we all had a fabulous time. Looking forward to returning.

Restaurant
Celentano's is a cozy Italian eatery located in Glasgow, known for its seasonal plates and sustainably sourced fare. The restaurant is the brainchild of Dean Parker, who has worked with renowned chef Robin Gill in London. Together with his wife Anna, they have created a family trattoria that offers elevated and interesting Italian dishes. Celentano's focuses on fermenting, pickling, and preserving ingredients to ensure that seasonal produce can be enjoyed year-round.
Just left from a family meal and from making the reservation over the phone until paying the bill, the service was simply phenomenal. The gent who waited our table this evening (we didn’t catch his name unfortunately) was absolutely 1st class, exceptionally friendly and had a really lovely nature. The food was absolutely exceptional and after multiple rounds of various cocktails, the bar staff deserve a big shoutout as well! A great choice if you’re looking for something a little different from your average flavour pairings, would highly recommend!

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday while exploring the cathedral. The price felt a little steep for a two course meal (it was a fixed price menu on sundays) but the food really blew us away. It was beautiful and delicious. Have recommended to our Glasgow guide. One of our best dining experiences in Scotland!

Had an absolutely stunning meal here last night. It’s now my favourite restaurant in Glasgow. The upstairs dining room is so beautiful and has such a wonderful atmosphere - there is nowhere like it in the city. Lovely rustic decor, great background music, and candlelight helps create a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a lovely white wine. The two pasta dishes we had were the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had - just an amazing combination of flavours and textures. Lots of options for vegetarians and pescatarians. A really special place and perfect for a romantic date or to celebrate a special occasion.

Place small but quaint inside. There on Saturday 4.1.25. food ok but the Pappardella not up to much. The glazed beef the meat did taste nice but the sauce ruined it so much so we called for the bill very quickly. I was feeling awful so did not check the bill the waiter asked me to check but my fault I desperately wanted home. I offered a tip and he said it's ok you have already paid. I normative 10% we'll always do. However when I got home they had taken £7.13, 12.5%tip and £1 for their chosen charity. I am outraged at this. I have my own charities I support and I don't give 12.5%. Staff deserve to be paid a proper wage and given the prices on their menu they should be able to do that. Will never go back, cannot recommend it and would advise folk to check and only pay these additional charges if you feel it's correct. I will in future no matter how ill I feel better checking bills as I visit a restaurant at least once a week and this is the first I've had a service charge added. Yes the bill does clearly state it's discretionary putting the onus on the diner to say no to the poor staff member.

We came across this place while we were looking around the cathedral. We thought it was an Italian restaurant and so it will have Italian dishes along with good service and well dressed staff. But in reality it was totally opposite. The menu was very different and barely had any Italian touch and dishes. We went on Sunday and they had a set menu which was not really an English menu nor Italian. Atmosphere was posh with a candle lit on every table but some of the staff were in shorts which I find very unusual. We ordered vegetarian pasta which was tasty and different. However the overall experience didn't meet the expectation. Plus if you are not an Italian restaurant then don't name it as an Italian restaurant.

Amazing Italian cuisine with a twist by a South African.chef. Great experience from antipasti to desserts. Eva is an impeccable host and Dave a great cocktail mixer, Dirty Martini not to be missed.

We were here on Friday, a party of 7. I have a nut allergy and was brought 2 dishes with walnuts and hazelnuts. The hazelnut dish was removed as could easily see them, and I ate the walnut dish and had an allergic reaction where I had to take antihistamines. Wait staff did not seem to care nor did the kitchen. Also, my friend that is celiac was brought a sauce that had gluten and they had to run and tell her not to eat it. Don’t go here if you have allergies.

Celentano’s is a lovely place to stay & eat, well worth the walk from Central station. It’s quiet, comfortable & thoughtfully designed to be relaxing. My room was large & bright with everything I needed for a relaxing stay, including a delicious breakfast. At the last minute I decided to have supper at the restaurant (this was a Friday night) & staff found me a table straightaway, although they were clearly busy. The food was next level. The memory of the Kimchi Doughnuts lives on in me & the dessert (Rye Choux Bun - Strawberry - Cherry Blossom - Black Olive - White Chocolate Cream) was indescribably delicious & served to me by the man who made it. I wish I hadn’t been alone, solely because I couldn’t quite justify a bottle of wine & none of the by the glass offerings were quite to my taste. A superb meal in a lovely restaurant, just steps from a comfortable bed. I slept super-well. Many thanks to all concerned. I felt welcomed & well-treated.

Pizza restaurant
Located in Glasgow, Paesano Pizza is a popular restaurant known for its wood-fired, artisan pizzas. The open kitchen and industrial space create a unique atmosphere with wall tiles and sharing tables. It was the first to introduce Neapolitan pizza to the area and uses authentic Italian wood-fired ovens heated to 500 degrees Celsius for perfect cooking. The pizzas have a light, airy crust and are made with high-quality ingredients imported from Italy.
We intended on eating here last time we were in Glasgow, we wish we had as we had an excellent time. The pizzas are amazing, we had the Bianca pizza, the whole menu looked awesome and lots of variety. Great selection of drinks as well and great coffee. Staff are excellent, Heather looked after us and she was very engaging and provided great suggestions. Eat here if you are in Glasgow.

Paesano Pizza – A Slice of Italy in Glasgow I was recommended to try Paesano Pizza during a short visit to Glasgow, and I’m genuinely glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the experience was fantastic. Despite how busy the place was, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient. I was lucky to find a seat in such a popular spot, and the atmosphere was lively yet comfortable. The pizza itself was outstanding — rich in flavour and authentically Italian. It genuinely felt like a taste of Naples right in the heart of Glasgow. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the central location, and the service was impressively fast. My order arrived within minutes, served with clean cutlery and complimentary tap water. Overall, I highly recommend Paesano Pizza to anyone visiting Glasgow. I’ll definitely make time to return on my next trip!

We arrived for an early dinner and were greeted by a wonderful staff who promptly took care of us and gave us a seat. Since it wasn’t busy at the time, we had a great time. My family decided to order three different pizzas to try. We chose two margarita pizzas, cotta ham and mushroom, and a special pizza. The margarita pizzas were classic and delicious. The dough and mozzarella were outstanding, fresh, and perfectly chewy. The pizza sauce was definitely homemade. The cotta ham, mushroom, and special pizzas were simply amazing. They offered a unique twist on the traditional pizza, with the meat adding a salty flavour that complemented the green toppings. We also noticed a chilli olive oil on the side, and adding it to the pizzas took them to the next level. It added a whole new layer of flavour that made it the best pizza I’ve ever had. Overall, we were not disappointed and highly recommend trying out this hidden gem of a pizza place just south of Buchanan Street.

Visited solo on my first night in Glasgow and had to return on my final night before I left. The dough is brilliant and there's so many flavours to choose from it was tough to make a decision! It's not written on the menu, but I wish I was told I could order half-half or two flavours on my first night when I was struggling to decide between a few. However Thato was still really helpful in providing recommendations and I really loved his cheerful energy and went No.8 spinach & ricotta base with mushrooms - took half of it home for dinner the next day which was still delicious. My taste buds were hit with flavour the moment I took a bite. On my second visit I was served by Toni who was really lovely and I got No.9 smoked scarmoza cheese. I requested to get it in half size (which isn't also stated on the menu, but possible). The tiramisu was pricey but it tasted excellent too. Service at 6:30pm was quick on my first night where I got served within 5 mins of my order, whilst my second visit took 20 mins when I arrived at peak time at 7:30pm which was understandable. To summarise, I've not stopped thinking about Paesano Pizza since visiting 3 weeks ago. A must try if you're in Glasgow!

Probably the best slice of pizza I’ve had in my life. Visiting from the U.S. - I have had New York slices, Chicago deep dish, etc., and this pizza might just top them all. You can truly taste how fresh the ingredients are, and it is clear the pride they take in their food. I also had a glass of the Paesano Bianco (house white), which was excellent as well - although I wish it was served in an actual wine glass, not the same cup as my water. Amazing atmosphere & excellent menu - please start expanding to the states soon!!

Super tasty pizza! We had to wait for a table but that was really fast. Great pizza with good dough. The only thing to improve would be service, they are too much in a hurry and didn’t give us any attention.

We were in a hurry. They sat us down straight away and served us straight away. Pizza arrived within 10 minutes and it was delicious. Their super hot sauce wasn't really that hot so dont be afraid of the skull. Give it a go. We also ordered cider which was decent.

The Riverside Museum is a cutting-edge facility that showcases an extensive array of historical vehicles and innovative interactive exhibits. Situated by the river, this award-winning transport museum boasts over 3,000 displays ranging from skateboards to locomotives, offering something for visitors of all ages. Housed in a striking building designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, the museum's collection spans from vintage automobiles and trains to prams and even a Stormtrooper.
Anyone that gives this museum less than 5 stars needs to have a word with themselves. This museum is such an asset to Glasgow and worth a visit for all ages. Firstly it’s free which after visiting we couldn’t believe. There is so much to see and do and we spent hours exploring all the exhibits. Inside is split over two floors with all areas wheelchair accessible. You can get up and close with vehicles of all shapes and sizes from old police cars, ambulances and fire engines to steam rollers, motorbikes and cars of every shape and size. It has a great selection of steam trains on display and we loved the old fashioned street display where it felt you were walking back in time and you could explore all the old shops and even subway train. There is a lovely wee cafe and gift shop too.

The Riverside Museum is a fantastic place to visit, especially as admission is free, making it accessible for everyone. Its location right by the river adds to the charm, giving visitors a chance to enjoy the scenic surroundings before or after exploring the museum itself. The building is modern and striking, and once inside, you’re greeted with an impressive collection that feels both inviting and easy to navigate. One of the highlights is the range of lovely old vehicles on display, from vintage cars and trams to classic bikes, which are fascinating to see up close. The museum is also very well thought out in terms of accessibility, with excellent disabled facilities that ensure all visitors can enjoy the experience comfortably. It’s a place that combines history, culture, and atmosphere beautifully, making it well worth a visit.

Free museum, free great knowledge to learn! 7 minutes walking from the Govan station. Took about an hour to skim through this museum. With the ship, needs about 2 hours in total! Good for kids and adults! I would love to visit here again!

Amazing place, one of the best museums we have ever been to, got there at opening time, stayed until around 3.00pm, great coffee, great soup...... The displays are very well laid out with lots of interesting info. The ship conveyer belt was so cool. Great to sit in an old underground train and watch the movie from the 1940s, also the Coronation tram, the old shops and street were so well done..... Love seeing the Caledonian Railway 123 loco, still have my Triang/Hornby one from the 1970s :) Not all about transport, plenty about Glasgow life. The Tall Ship is worth a visit too just behind the museum.

The exhibits at the museum are simply stunning particularly if you’re interested in the history of transport or want a glimpse of Glasgow from yesteryear. There are guided tours available if you want to ensure you don’t miss anything. Highly recommended.

Honestly one of the best well done museum's I have ever seen. Great for anyone of all types. Lots to learn, lots to see and if you just walk around you will still have a great time. Oh it's free or by a recommended donation. One of my favorite places I visited.

A very good place to visit with children. A good collection of old cars, bikes, and a train, and how the streets look. It feels like you have time traveled and are seeing the past with your own eyes. It will feel very nostalgic to the elderly who may remember a few things from their childhood. Free to visit.

Glasgow Science Centre is a top science and technology museum in Scotland, known for its interactive exhibits, planetarium, IMAX theatre, and cafes. With around 300 hands-on science exhibits spread across three floors, visitors can enjoy an educational and entertaining experience. The center also features a Planetarium that offers insightful shows. Visitors can engage in various physical and endurance tests while learning about upcoming scientific topics such as Big Data.
Great day had by the family at the science centre! Lots of interactive activities to get brains of all ages ticking. Lots of areas in different STEM topics, all of which we enjoyed! On top of the entry tickets, we also booked tickets for the kids planetarium show which came at a small additional charge, but would recommend as it was brilliant.

Brilliant day out at Glasgow Science Centre! We had such a great time, with our 6 year old daughter, there’s loads to see and do for all ages. The interactive exhibits kept everyone entertained for hours, and it’s clear how much effort goes into keeping everything engaging and educational. The staff were friendly and really helpful, and IMAX 3D cinema was a highlight. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend the whole day without getting bored. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Glasgow, whether you’ve got kids or you’re just a big kid yourself!

We noticed the science centre across from where we where staying whilst on a trip for my daughters birthday. We decided to stop by for a visit and we where glad we did. The staff on the ticket desk where very polite and helpful. Inside there was lots to do and see. It was filled with interesting and interactive exhibits. We only stayed for a few hours as we had to catch a flight home but you could easily make it a whole day. My daughter had lots of fun learning new things as we went around. There was also an inclosed play area for children which was lovely my 4 year old didn’t want to leave. There was also a cafe unfortunately we didn’t have the time to try it. My 5 year old has said she wants to go to Scotland for her birthday treat so if we return we would definitely be visiting again as I know my 5 year old would love this just as much if not more.

Located in Glasgow, OVO Hydro is a state-of-the-art indoor arena with a modern design that hosts various sporting events and concerts. Husband and myself went to see Simply Red section 006 row B seats 101/102 on the 28th Sept 2025, fantastic night. Seats could be comfier but to be honest i stood most of the night once the guys came on. Alcohol wasn't actually that expensive, crisps on the other hand £2,gave that a miss. Booked up for another 2 shows next year. Great atmosphere, helpful staff.

Went to see JLS with my adult daughters & my daughter in law. Whole evening was fantastic from start to finish. On arrival, wheelchairs were available & it made so much difference as I'm recovering from surgury & struggle with walking any distance. We we're allowed to use accessible entrance & we left the wheelchair at arena doors. Our seats were on ground floor & so easy to walk to. Crowds were no too hectic at all & managed to get wheelchair back at doors & had a easy & steady journey back to our car

A great venue. Not too crowded despite being a sold out event. Quick through security. Getting into the venue was the only minor negative. Unpleasant door staff screaming instructions, instead of organising things correctly in the first place. All other staff were great, easy going, and helpful. Easy access to food and rinks and well organised too. Highly recommend venue.
Rob F — Google review
Been to the Hydro multiple times of course as artists don't really go anywhere else in Scotland. Every time I've been it's been great. A few downsides such as doors opening late and expensive drinks. I typically only drink water and had two different experiences on the same night regarding this. First time the staff member was quick to get me canned water. I have no idea how much it was as my partner got a coke alongside it but it was over £9 I think and the 2nd time the staff member was really helpful and and suggested I just get tap water which I guess sounds dumb but I wasn't even aware you could get tap water at the place. So if you're getting water, specify which one you want because paying for water is ermm.. silly Staff have always been really helpful and attentive in harsh situations such as people fainting or needing help at first aid The organisation feels a lot better with the new security system. I was anxious about it as I've never experienced something like it before but you simply just walk through the security room, through the scanner (if you have a bag they will check that) and then queue up in front of the doors. It's a lot more fluid than before where you got scanned by a wand or patted down (if you're a man) staggering the amount of time it takes to get in. Tickets are still scanned at the doors like before but doesn't take long at all. So I'm fond of the change for sure From a past experience the speakers up the back of the venue are quite poor and I recommend avoiding purchasing that area if you care for the sound. If it's all that's left or what you can afford, completely understandable because that was my situation and in the end I was just happy to be there But great venue with great staff overall and amazing gigs

Went to see Simply Red and thought the atmosphere all around the venue was relaxed and welcoming. Security not to mental, staff very friendly. Great sound and the concert was fabulous.
Glenn M — Google review
I love the feeling of so many people gather for music and events like this. However I prefer smaller venues. I love seeing bands more up close and personal. Something special about it. That aside the hydro has great facilities and is pretty well placed to let you both get there and get away. There are also loads of hotel options nearby, even if you need to head into the city centre, which is only 30mins away at most (even walking) Enjoy my pics of night time Hydro DND Clyde. Along with Volbeat and Halestorm
Liam M — Google review
Despite numerous staff & security, I felt this was poorly operated. A lot of confused customers trying to locate their seats & the bar areas also having a lot of staff, took forever to serve. I actually went part way through the show to get a couple of drinks & whilst it was quieter & gave staff time to get the order right, by the time I got back to the seat & handed over a 'gin & tonic' to my partner - there was only tonic in the drink! I was going to go back & complain, but my partner said just to leave it. At the prices they are charging, I wonder if others have been duped into thinking they are getting what they pay for... One reason why I never regularly go to these arenas.
Nhorberto T — Google review
Great place, well organised so you're not having to wait in long queues to get in. Parking is close by but does have a fairly high cost, leaving the parking after a show can mean you're stuck for a while, though sometimes they have attendants that can help keep things moving better. Facilities at the hydro are decent and mostly clean. Irn Bru it's sold, so that's a good thing.

The Lighthouse, located in Glasgow, is a renowned exhibition space and visitor center dedicated to architecture and design. It serves as Scotland's hub for showcasing the country's talent in these fields through various events, workshops, and exhibits. The building also features a viewing platform offering stunning panoramic views of Glasgow. Designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1895, it remains an iconic landmark in the city and is conveniently situated near the Style Mile.
Great place, hidden in the lanes of Buchanan street but worth visiting. Has several museums. To see this staircase you need to go through the Mackintosh hall on the 3rd floor. It would've been great if they had a map of glasgow on the top, so you could easily guess what building is what. Otherwise, fine 👍🏻

I spent almost 1 hour there with other friends. It presents a great deal of the Scottish arts, however I don't really like the organisation there. It should be reorganized. The open view from the top of the stair way is great for spotting attractions in Glasgow
Hung B — Google review
The building was very nice, the best part of the exposition was the lighthouse itself. The stairwell went up to the very top and made it incredibly worth climbing all those flights of stairs. However, it is not accessible to everyone, if you need to use the lift you can only access a different part of the building that shows you part of the view to the city but you cannot go where the stairwell takes you. Toilets at the lighthouse weren’t great. They had some funny signs but the woman’s toilet seats felt like they were about to fall off the wall if you sat down.

After 4 years living in Glasgow and I hadn't been here, this is such a discovery. Nice place with great views from the tower, really arty and we'll located. Apparently is more famous for tourists, but has a great and avant-garde atmosphere.

A building designed by Glasgow favourite son Mr Charles Rennie McIntosh although you don't really get the flavour of it from the outside due to the tightness of Mitchell lane and the close proximity of the adjacent buildings. The tower itself is not by McIntosh but a later addition but has great panoramic views of the city below, so worth the visit but beware I counted 220 steps to the top!

Unique building in the centre of Glasgow with an interesting history. Great viewing from the top where you can go outside on a gantry with a 360°view. A lot of steps to climb from the 3rd floor if you want to get the great view.

A very good exhibition a d a long walk up a spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse for great views over Glasgow. There's also a lift to another, slightly lower viewing platform for the less able. We did both. And all for free.

Delicious food with wonderful service. We came here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the attentiveness of the staff and the variety and choices of food. A good solid 4 overall. Everyone is packed in like sardines but the place is nice inside and has a nice atmosphere. Service was efficient although a few more smiles would not go amiss. Poor start when the first 2 beers I ordered were out of stock. On to the food. Its very much about presentation. Chicken satay started was very good. Chicken Kung po had a rather strange tasting sauce compared to usual but was tasty enough. Price point was what you would expect.

Absolute top marks for having a gluten-free menu. My coeliac husband hadn't had a Chinese meal out since he got his diagnosis 13 years ago and was absolutely delighted with his dish and with the amount of choice. They also gave us the GF menu automatically (we mentioned it on the booking) and it was nice not having to go through the usual 20 questions. Unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed with my dish. I'd ordered chicken with cloud fungus and red beancurd sauce, everything was cooked beautifully but I just found it a bit lacking in flavour. Maybe it's just horses for courses - I like really punchy flavours. When I'm not dining out with a coeliac, I'll be going back to China Blue - their flavours were amazing. Oh, and watch out for the booking system. It only seems to let you book for a party of two or four. I was trying for ages to book for three of us and it just wouldn't let us choose any dates.

On this occasion I went for dinner with my husband, who wanted to treat me to something special, and it was. After a warm welcome from the handsome gentlemen waiters (sorry I didn’t take your names!) we opted for expertly mixed cocktails in the bar first which helped us relax and we had a lovely chat with a friendly couple, as the intimate surroundings encourage. We were then taken to our table with views of Exchange Square and the rest of the restaurant. Whilst it was completely full, the table had plenty of space and we weren’t in too of anyone. Our meal was delicious. A relaxed and tasty affair. For starters we had the lobster ravioli and scallops. A lovely precursor to the beef wellington with broccoli, lobster mac n cheese and fries. All beautifully cooked, and just to our taste. We were too full to eat anything else. Our waitress was Rachel and I can’t thank her enough for listening and guiding to our wants, and successfully delivering a wonderful experience. Overall another luxurious evening in one of the finest restaurant’s in Glasgow. Thank you Glaschu!

My wife and I LOVED Glaschu! The whole experience was really nice. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and the staff, Jasmine & David, were especially wonderful! Jasmine served us and we had a great time chatting with her about Scotland and our trip. They were helpful and professional! We had a great meal and a great bottle of wine. I’d highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a more private dining experience or date night. It’s quiet and lovely.

Atmosphere and service was top notch. Our beef was a little chewy, I managed to eat mine but my partner sent hers back and got the chicken instead. Staff were great and offered a free drink for the inconvenience. Quite pricey, but lovely place. Starters were really good!

I wish my rating for this restaurant was higher, given the beautiful ambience and incredible view of the our gallery. My first experience was disappointing, and this is what this review was written upon. First, the service. I came in around 7pm on a Tuesday, not busy, maybe three tables of couples. After I was seated, I was ignored for 15-20 minutes, no menu, no water, until I had to get up to ask for the menu. Waiters walked around, but no one paid attention. Rather odd for a nice restaurant like this. Second, the food. For entree, I ordered the halibut. About an hour later, the dish came - it was so salty and the fish was terribly dry. For £37 I expected better. Third, the service, again. Seeing how salty the fish was, I added broccoli as a side. The waiter kindly said it’d be complementary because of the long wait for the fish. However, when the bill came, the broccoli was still included in the price. After 2.5 hours from the time I sat down to the time the bill came, I was too exhausted to even say anything and couldn’t wait to leave. For better value, I would recommend the Ivy restaurant next door, or the Spanish Butcher couple blocks away, both have exceptional food and services.
Alice W — Google review
If I could I would give it 4.5 stars as the service was quite slow. Well actually not the service but the time it took to get the food out. The food was all tremendous though and good portions. Rabbit starter was quite meaty while the venison main was cooked very well. Although not very well, pink to be clear. Apple dessert was one of the best I have had in a long time. Food was priced accordingly. Will be back.

A £25 surprise. This is a must visit restaurant in the heart of Glasgow. Lunch in a high quality venue but relaxed. Food was fantastic (asparagus tart followed by a perfectly cooked fillet of cod) Well done to all.

Was meeting up with a group of friends we hadn't seen for a while. Drinks were amazing, food was amazing, staff were really lovely and friendly! Would really recommend this place. Can't wait to visit again!

one more review August 2025 This time we had a family lunch, 4 adults, we opted for the three course lunch. What great value. This place is definitely amongst the best places in Glasgow for dining. The food is great, the atmosphere is great. **Update after our second visit Today we visited Glaschu for the second time. This time everything was very smoothe. The menu was great, a varied selection. We ate from the a la carte menu, however the lunch menu looked great too and reasonable at £20 for 2 courses and £30 for 3 courses. Our food was delicious. I had the lobster ravioli to start and my wife the crab tian, both 10/10! My wife had the venision as a main while I had the butter squash risotto, again delicious. Unfortunately for us it was too tasty and we ate more than we should have. The cheese selection was excellent and included some Scottish cheeses. Service was excellent, not rushed at all, service this time was 5*. After todays visit we would highly recommend a visit. If you want to diine on a saturday then I'd definetely recommend making a reservation. We will return soon. This was our first visit to Glaschu and we had high expectations from reading reviews online. Our arrival was not the best. There is a restricted access to the restaurant where you are required to press a buzzer for access. After 3 buzzes to get access on a cold , 3˚C windy Glasgow day we were eventually given access and told over the buzzzer "come up". Once we went up and arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by a member of staff who instructed us to wait there. This felt like sitting in a take-away waiting for our order! A short time later, maybe 15 minutes we were shown to our table. The restaurant is very nice and relaxing environment, however the dried flowers remind me of an 1980's hotel. We were given menus and a nice amount of time to read the extensive tempting menu. All choices sounded very tasty. Our appetisers arrived and they were very tasty and well presented. I asked for a alcohol free beer at this time. While eating our appetisers I saw other diners arrive at the reception. I saw many members of staff completely ignore the people waiting who had obviously just been buzzed to "come up". When our appitisers were finished and cleared away I had to remind our server that we had still not recieved the alcohol free beer. The starters arrived and looked very appitising , we were very impressed. Again newly arrived diners were seen at the reception and more or less ignored by staff. I must add this was not a very busy service. Our main cousres arrived and like before looked and tasted delicious. Our overall impression from our experience was it was "okay". The four star review is for the menu, presentation , quality and taste of the food. The front of house staff and waiters, except our waiter, were very much lacking in customer service. Will we return? Simply , yes. For the food. For the welcome and service mmmmm, not so sure.

Been working my way through the Michelin guide for Glasgow so had to book here being recently added and can see why - outstanding food, concept & staff. Was unsure how I'd feel dining at one large table with others, however as the night went on this eased and you realise you're dining with other's who have a real passion for good food which adds to the enjoyment. I'm not a huge fan of seafood, and the winter menu we got was heavy on seafood, however the way the chefs infused flavours totally changed my perception of seafood. I'd be writing an essay if I had to go through each dish but the best for me was dessert - the Crown Prince Pumpkin was unbelievable. I've no idea how pumpkin was created into a sorbet which tasted like apricot, but it was simply stunning. Glasgow restaurant scene is so good and there's a raft of small plate/tasting menu places, however Fallachan has nailed being different doing this on a large shared chefs table with an open kitchen, really sets them apart for a different experience. I look forward to booking again to see what a summer or autumn menu is like.

Like many others I had the pleasure of dining here, we had the evening meal and I had the drinks and wine pairing… from start to finish the experience was amazing and worth every penny spent. The menu was fantastic and every dish and drink served was simply exquisite. The ingredients were fresh and the effort that went into creating each dish made all the dishes taste fantastic. The portions sizes are deceivingly filling, as a fine dining experience please do not think you are going to have overflowing plates you are here to experience the food. The service was beyond amazing, the time taken out by the staff and the chef to make sure we had a great time was a class touch, if I could give more than 5stars I would. How this place doesn’t have Michelin or Rosette recognition is a mystery to me… if you get the chance visit at your earliest opportunity.
Bobby B — Google review
Some of the dishes were bang on the money but then some were confusing to say the least, the tomato starter was quite oily, the East Neuk beetroot just had an over powering taste of Beetroot The Blue Finn tuna belly was completely over powered by the cucumber jus. Overall it had more great courses than not and would have given a better review but felt a bit of up selling went on what is basically a £400 menu with the wine tasting. Most disappointing was the cheese dish which was £30 for the two of us and I think I have had bigger tasting samples at Costco very disappointing as you can see in the pictures. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and the concept is great and we meet some lovely like minded people at the table just no need to try and up sale.

The Atmosphere: was relaxed but professional. Food: I have fined in some of the best restaurants world wide (Michelin starred and not). The food is right up with the best of them. Service: As this is a shared table experience the service is more relaxed but I never had to ask for attention they were on it.

Exceptional and truly inspiring experience at Fallachan. The food is hyper-seasonal, executed with precision, and packed with depth of flavour. Every dish is thoughtfully composed and beautifully seasoned, showcasing unique ingredients and clever use of fermentation you rarely see elsewhere. A real masterclass in modern Scottish cooking — an absolute must-visit in Glasgow.
Sandeep S — Google review
So first of all the food is some of the best I've ever eaten. So much going on, it was mind blowing. The flavour and presentation was flawless. The service was exceptional. Loved the short conversation with chef before service. The waiting staff talked enthusiastically and you were kept well informed all the time. Cocktails were spot on with flavours we hadn't tried before. They were very much part of the experience. This is often overlooked in fine dining restaurants. The communal table was, in our experience, not ideal. We were sat between two rather odd couples. They didn't really make an effort with the vibe of what is expected in that setting. A gentleman sat beside me, who was smoking at least between every course, would come back to the table and blow his last mouthful of smoke across towards me. I really have no idea what he thought he was playing at. With a north American accent he constantly spoke quite loudly how Edinburgh would be better than Glasgow!!! We left before the petit fours and boxed out cheese up. I hope to return one day but with friends so we don't have that situation again.

Was here last night for the first night of the new summer menu and we where absolutely blown away. Intimate and unique dining experience and the food was of exceptional quality. Every course showcasing amazing Scottish produce, incredible flavours and cooking and presentation of the absolute highest standard. Every course that came we thought we had found a new favourite of the night but they seemed to just keep getting better. The service was second to none all evening, the staff where friendly, warm and just made everyone feel so comfortable and at ease. Shout out to the Mixologist, we tried 3 of the cocktails and loved them all. The Byres Colada was a particular favourite. Also a special shout out to Conor. His hosting, personality and vast knowledge and passion for the wines he was presenting was fantastic and he added an extra dimension to the experience. All in all a brilliant evening, hats off to Chef Craig and the whole team. Can't reccomend Fallachan highly enough and looking forward to returning in the near future.

Just had one of the best sandwiches of my life - Persian turkey - at this cafe. Food is exceptionally fresh, fantastic taste combo and really friendly staff. Should be ranked #1 in Glasgow!

I’m absolutely disgusted with the so-called “Caesar Salad” I got. What I received was basically an out-of-date bag of supermarket salad, some cheap chicken thrown on top, and a tub of garlic mayo. That is not a Caesar salad, and certainly not worth £7.50. It looked awful, tasted worse, and was a complete waste of money. Selling this as a Caesar salad is misleading, and frankly a joke. I highly urge anyone who is planning on visiting to get a salad bowl to avoid as you’ll get a hair in your food 🤢

Quite disappointing. I might have been their first customer of the day. Ordered a an avocado toast and a cappuccino. When asked to add sugar in my coffee, the rude little waiter talked back to his colleague by judging me and looked at me like I insulted him. How disrespectful to do so in front of a customer. I paid so I can choose what I put in my coffee. The avocado toast was just an avocado toast with no flavor served with a Tesco salad. All of this for £8. Come on. I don’t recommend at all.

Went for the “NY Deli” sandwich, which is a Reuben with turkey. Absolutely delicious, they recommend white bread but I opted for the brown (personal preference) but was still amazing. Fillings were tasty and fresh, well dressed and not dry at all. Really quick assembly time as well. Would definitely return!! Atmosphere inside very “takeaway” feeling, so not a cosy place to sit, but the food is phenomenal and easy to carry - brilliant one for bringing to the park nearby.

Popped in for lunch after being given a glowing recommendation. Went for the NY Deli and the person serving suggested the white bloomer bread which I went with. Worked very well with the ingredients, very filling and tasty. One of the best sandwiches I have in a while. Staff all friendly, service quick and efficient. An easy five stars. Photos don't do it justice.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Celtic Park. Not quite as popular as Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Celtic Park, also known as "Paradise" by fans, is the largest football stadium in Scotland and home to Celtic FC. Even if you're not a football enthusiast, a visit to this state-of-the-art stadium is highly recommended. The guided tour has been described as "fantastic," allowing visitors to explore areas like the boardroom, tunnel, dressing room, and dugout while being accompanied by knowledgeable staff.
This was a birthday present for me from family & included a meal at the #7 restaurant (which was excellent)! Took my mate along, as it was his birthday the next day (when we played Newcastle) & we both had a fantastic time. Paul the tour guide was great & delivered the talk with ease & very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend. HH 🍀

As a non football fan I found this tour very enjoyable. We decided to go on the trip while we were in Glasgow on a family weekend and even though we didn’t book in advance the staff were very accommodating and got us on one of the tours. The guide was very knowledgeable and his stories were fun with a good bit of banter. We got to see all aspects of the grounds from the boardroom , trophy room , dressing room and the dug out pitch side. If you in Scotland this is well worth a visit

Nice stadium , real beautiful statues around. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the possibility to take some photos cause tour was full and even thought there was a door to take some really quick the rude security guy didn’t let us. Guys, being friendly is not that difficult especially to tourists. Have that in your mind !

Visited Celtic Park yesterday ahead of the friendly against Newcastle and even without attending the match, the experience left a deep impression. The stadium is absolutely steeped in history you can feel the pride and tradition in every corner. The walk up to Paradise builds real anticipation. The iconic statues outside, the towering stands, and the sheer scale of the place all speak volumes about the club’s legacy. Staff and fellow fans were incredibly friendly and welcoming there’s a real community spirit here that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. Even just touring the grounds, it’s clear Celtic Park is more than a stadium it’s a place of identity and passion. Gutted I couldn’t stay for the match.
Robert P — Google review
The tour is absolutely an amazing experience. Our tour guide was great. He was very knowledgeable and you could tell her held a tremendous passion for the club. One note, if you have young children, don’t be shocked if you are asked to leave the room if your children struggle to be quiet while the tour guide speaks. We have two young children with autism who sometimes struggle to be quiet and we were asked multiple times to exit the room. At no time were we upset by that, and the tour guide was very kind about it. Other children in the group left the room too at different times. I only say something because other parents might be in a similar situation and might like knowing before hand.

The People's Palace, situated in the historic Glasgow Green, is a museum and glasshouse showcasing Glasgow's industrial history and local culture from 1750 to the late 20th century. The center offers exhibits featuring objects, photographs, prints, and films that narrate the city's story. It was established in 1898 as a cultural hub for the people during challenging times in the East End of Glasgow.
Free entrance for everyone. What a lovely place! A splendid way to travel backwards in time! This place truly caters to the public, keeping diverse areas vibrant. The stunning architecture and garden surroundings could easily pass as a filming location for "Downton Abbey." Kudos to the incredibly kind individuals standing at the entrance all day, braving the cold to offer every visitor a proper welcome! Ensure you contribute a small donation to play your part in sustaining this establishment (I've included the QR code in one of the pictures).

Hate it cos its indefinitely closed. A crown jewel of tourist attractions in Glasgow's oldest park. Childhood memories abound from late 1950's when my great uncle James opened my eyes to the world of education on many visits there. Now derelict as is the adjacent Victorian tropical plant house. A total GCC disgrace.😡

Free place to go and explore! The museum was really interesting and had a lot of cool displays and parts of the exhibits. I loved the interactive bits and thought it was a perfect spot to get out of the rain and read about Glaswegian history.

Parking is free and entry in free...so what are you waiting for. It has the full story of Glasgow across 3 floors, as well as a cafe & toilets. There is also a lift if you can't handle the stairs. Spent 2 hours here before closing at 5pm. Will definitely be back, as I feel there is more to digest.

Lovely architecture. Free entry. Nice place to bring family. Big grounds on the outside for picnic when the weather is nice and a lovely playground nearby. Lots of free street parking along the Museum. There’s a nice cafe in the winter garden. The display is great to introduce the little ones with some of the things we grew up with from the early 1960s-1990s.

I love this museum, It should be more popular!! The information inside is very well displayed, with big wall pictures, we can see the inside of rooms dating to the beginning of the 20th centuries and objects that explain how people lived. The topics covered: the first, the second world war, the house crisis, poverty, justice, entertainment and holiday. The pictures taken are moving, mixing slums and group of children playing in the building stairs, it made me feel both lucky to be able to live in a proper house, but also nostalgic to an era that I didn't know, when neighbours knew each other and whose children could play around without restriction/fear of strangers. This museum is for me a rare exemple of the right level of text to inform and well displayed to be eye-catching. In addition, the person at the entrance of the museum was really nice, he said hello and goodbye with a big smile.
Amandine G — Google review
It’s free and no booking is required. Also free parking. This museums shows the history of Glasgow and gives visitors an insight into how Glaswegians lived, worked and played in years gone by through collection of objects, photographs, prints and a film. Greenhouse (Winter Gardens) is closed though, not sure if and when it will re-open. There are toilets throughout the building, lifts for those who may need extra help and on the first floor there is a café.

Lovely building full of very interesting artefacts of Glasgow through the years. We enjoyed our visit very much. Had a decent cup of coffee and a snack in the cafe area. The toilets were very poor. I understand its an old building but the toilet seats weren't even secured properly and the restrooms were not very clean. This is the reason I cannot give it 5 stars.

Glasgow Green is a historic park spanning 55 hectares and featuring iconic landmarks such as the triumphant arch and the terracotta Doulton Fountain in front of People's Palace. Visitors can enjoy a pleasant walk along well-kept pathways by the River Clyde, passing boathouses, bridges, and greenhouses attached to The People's Palace.
I had the pleasure to take my wee neice and big nephew to TRNSMT 2025 Friday night to see the proper good The Script. We walked through the south end of the park, it's a very nice wee park, lots of things to do. Even as we left around 10pm the park was still busy with lots of families enjoying the evening sun 🌞. We had a cracking good time, it's a well organised festival, definitely no like the auld T in the Park days. I have enjoyed many good events at the Green, going back to The Prodigy in the 90s. Hopefully I'll be able to return. 5/5 🖖

My group stayed in Glasgow for the Worlds Bagpipe Championships these last 2 weeks. This was some of the groups 1st time in Scotland, including me and my daughter. My 1st impression was it reminded me of los angeles with the graffiti, homelessness, and some people on drugs tweeking on the streets. Our area was very walkable and we had no safety issues. Buchanan street was a nice visit with restaurants and shops. I loved seeing the architecture and art on buildings and my favorite part was visiting Pollock Park and seeing the Scottish Highland Cows and art museum. I was sad Pollok house was under renovation and closed but the Bridge and river were very beautiful. To get around town, we used Scotrail, Uber, taxis, or walked. Glasgow Green is a beautiful park as well. Scotland was so amazing!

Glasgow Green is one of the cleanest and most peaceful parks I’ve visited. The grounds are spotless, the paths are well-kept, and there’s plenty of space to relax or explore. The greenery is stunning—lush lawns, tall trees, and colorful gardens make it perfect for a walk, picnic, or just soaking up nature. It’s a lovely area with historical landmarks like the People’s Palace and Doulton Fountain, and it’s easy to reach from the city center. Whether you’re out for a jog, walking the dog, or enjoying time with family, Glasgow Green is a fantastic spot to unwind. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!

We met family in the park and made the most of two of the playgrounds. The larger slides were a huge hit with the kids of all ages. There were a couple of picnic tables, which worked well for a visit. There was also a small cafe, which served a selection of hot and cold foods. We really liked the bike cycle hire that was available, which is part of a small charity, also teaching children to cycle if they don't have access to their own bikes.

Nestled in the lively heart of Glasgow, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut stands as a beacon for music lovers and aspiring artists alike. This iconic venue is renowned for its intimate setting, where local talents and cult international acts share the stage. Since opening its doors in 1990, it has become a legendary spot in the music scene, famously known as the place where Alan McGee discovered Oasis.
A great and iconic music venue. The main bar area has plenty of seating and a good range of drinks, including craft beers on draught. They also have a decent selection of zero or very low alcohol beers, which is handy if you've driven to see a band. Upstairs is the performance area with its own bar. It's small, capacity is only around 300, giving it an intimate vibe and a great atmosphere. The risers on the stairs have the names of bands that have performed at King Tut's over the years. There are lots and you'll have heard of the vast majority. Loads of parking on the surrounding streets and if you arrive after 6pm it's free. Haven't tried the food so can't comment on that but everything else about the place is spot on.

Iconic venue, friendly atmosphere, good for a quick drink or a gig. Great support for upcoming artists go see some bands you have never heard of, buy a ticket, take a chance, unearth a musical gem. Great venue for concerts if you want to get up close with the band, it's fairly small inside but offers a great atmosphere and sound for music. There's a downstairs and upstairs bar area where you can get drinks, the staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the men's bathrooms were a bit rundown and grotty, but that's to be expected with a lot of people drinking and enjoying themselves.

Attended my first gig at this lovely location last night. My mobility and capacity has been in decline the past couple of years but I still love live music. The staff and services provided last night not only made that possible but an absolute pleasure. Was sat in a comfortable area near the sound desk ( alongside my partner thanks to the companion ticket 🖤✨️ ) which provided shelter but didn't shield me from a wonderful view of the stage or the energy from the crowd. Early entry and escort was provided so wouldn't get rushed or overwhelmed on the stairs. Just absolute star studded team and venue 🙌🙌 Special thanks to Richard who sorted that & checked on us throughout the night 🤘

Fish and seafood restaurant
Gamba is a renowned basement restaurant in the city center of Glasgow, known for its simple yet refined decor and focus on Scottish-sourced seafood. The menu, updated every six weeks, features locally sourced produce such as Isle of Gigha halibut, Scottish lobster, and smoked salmon from Marrbury. With two AA rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide, Gamba has gained recognition for its French-leaning fish dishes.
Absolutely loved this restaurant. The starters were excellent as well as our mains. Gregor was our waiter and he was so attentive and full of knowledge in regards to the fish on the menu. It was perhaps a little quiet but that is never a bad thing. Definitely recommended a visit!

Sat 45£ menu is 3 course and comes with a glass of wine Bread was cold and not good. Butter no flavour either Their fish soup is really something. Idk why they call it a fish soup when it's really more of a seafood bisque, esp since there's so much crab. Unfortunately there's no prawn dumpling inside? Just a tiny prawn The grey sole texture is ok, but the fish itself is really not too special, so tender as it was, there's no particular flavour. The garlic soy is also not as potent as the Cantonese kind, and the mountain of butter was just greasy. Ginger ice cream in the sticky toffee pudding was good Overall fish soup is very good, the rest is really not worth the price

Went in for dinner before the theatre and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and everything was well made and looked fresh. The staff was great and very attentive. It's definitely worth a visit.

Excellent place for a special occasion. The restaurant was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was not rushed so you were able to relax & enjoy the meal. The food was excellent. The 2 starters we had - fish soup and sashimi - were particularly enjoyable. The rum & raising creme brulee was a fine end to the meal. Highly recommend.

I was given a gift voucher by my workmates for my birthday. They know I love seafood and my friend from work recommends this restaurant and goes regularly. My partner enjoys steak and so we decided on the Wednesday Surf 'n' turf menu. Absolutely excellent. The staff were attentive, conversational and cared about providing good service. Cosy and non pretentious. The food was exceptional. Every single element was cooked to perfection. The meal I had was one of the best I have ever had in any restaurant. They obviously care deeply about the quality of the food they serve. I'm now planning to return very soon for the full seafood experience This place is a gem!

From the moment I stepped into Gamba, I knew I was in for something special, and this Glasgow gem absolutely exceeded every expectation. My recent visit was an unmitigated delight, a true celebration of fresh, vibrant seafood and culinary artistry. To start, I opted for the picked herring, and what a revelation it was! The fish was impeccably fresh, with a delicate cure that enhanced its natural sweetness without overpowering it. It was a bright, clean, and utterly refreshing beginning to the meal, perfectly whetting the appetite for what was to come. For my main course, I chose the seabass, and it was simply sublime. The fillet was cooked to absolute perfection – flaky, tender, and bursting with flavour, with a beautifully crisp skin that added a delightful textural contrast. Each mouthful was a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the kitchen. It was elegantly presented and truly a showstopper. And then came the grand finale: the lemon posset. Oh my goodness, what a dream! It was a symphony of creamy, tangy, and sweet, with that perfect zesty kick that cleansed the palate and left a lingering, joyful sensation. It was the ideal conclusion to an already faultless meal. Beyond the exquisite food, the atmosphere at Gamba is wonderfully inviting – sophisticated yet comfortable, with attentive and genuinely friendly staff who clearly have a passion for what they do. Every detail, from the warm welcome to the seamless service, contributed to an exceptional dining experience. If you're looking for an unforgettable seafood experience in Glasgow, look no further than Gamba. It's a culinary triumph that I cannot recommend highly enough. I'm already dreaming of my next visit!

The Butterfly and the Pig is a charming shabby-chic restaurant and bar with a cozy atmosphere. The Tea Rooms, located on the ground floor, offer a relaxed setting for afternoon tea with vintage decor and mismatched furniture. Guests can enjoy a variety of classic sandwich fillings, homemade cakes, and an extensive selection of over 40 types of tea. The venue's quaint ambiance is enhanced by toile de jouy wallpaper and displays of fine china.
The Butterfly and the Pig is a delightful place that truly captures the charm of a cozy and welcoming pub with a twist. The food is hearty, flavorful, and well-prepared—perfect comfort dishes done right. Whether you’re after a classic meal or something a bit more unique, their menu has something for everyone. The beer selection is great, with a good variety of local and well-known brews to choose from. Everything was served fresh and at the right temperature, making it a perfect pairing with the meal. What really stood out, though, were the staff—super friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They made us feel welcome and looked after throughout the visit. Overall, this spot is a real gem in the city. Highly recommended for a relaxed and satisfying meal out!

An absolute gem! The tea room at The Butterfly and the Pig is a perfect escape. The vintage, shabby-chic decor with mismatched china and cozy atmosphere makes you feel like you've stepped into a beautiful, quirky time machine. The afternoon tea service itself is outstanding. The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, the scones were warm and delicious, and the selection of homemade cakes and treats was fantastic. They offer a huge variety of teas, and the staff are wonderful—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. It's an incredible value for the quality and experience you receive. I can't recommend this place enough for a special occasion or just a lovely treat. We'll definitely be back!

Came here after hearing such good things about it. Brought my child along, the service was lovely and staff were friendly and inviting. The food was a little disappointing though, the roast came out cold and lacked flavour in some food items. Would return again and give the benefit of the doubt, however this was early lunch time and the restaurant was not busy. Great decor and a really cosy place to be even just for a casual drink with friends, it's dog friendly which is great.

Brunch restaurant
Scran, located in the East End of Glasgow, has gained popularity as one of the top five must-visit cafes in the city. The menu offers a variety of options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with dietary restrictions. Known for its delicious and Instagram-worthy dishes, Scran has received high praise for its consistency and exceptional service from happy and attentive staff.
Elite place for breakfast! Has been a long time favourite in Glasgow, but our most recent visit to Scran was the first time trying them in the new location. The place is clean, inviting, and the staff are super friendly. A fantastic menu selection of the classics, and some more experimental options for the adventurous types. Best coffee I've had in Glasgow to date, which is a lot coming from a Melbournian. Thank you kindly!

Went here for brunch and was blown away by the food. The variety of choices was incredible, and everything was cooked to perfection—flavourful, fresh, and not greasy at all. The atmosphere was lively and fun, yet the service was impressively quick and efficient. A fantastic spot I can’t wait to go back to! Highly recommend!

Came here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by their shawarma loaded fries. The chicken was spiced well and the gherkin balanced out those strong flavours well. It's a dish I would have again. I did not have the hash browns but my friend highly rated them and as seen by the picture, they looked nice and crisp
Hannah G — Google review
We came here for the brunch and luckily the place wasn’t packed. We had the BBQ pork and the Stornoway. Both plates were delicious and portions abundant. We took also the hash browns which come with the truffle mayo, it was very yummy
Kristian J — Google review
Amazing menu (we came for brunch). So many great dishes it was hard for make a decision! The caramel chicken bun is insane (come hungry), as is the hash browns side. Scran Diego coffee is amazing for those with a sweet tooth. Only reason for a 4 not 5 was it took a very very long time to get the bill and then again to come back with the card machine which is a minor annoyance. Staff were all really nice and friendly though. Definitely recommend.

Unbelievable food and service!!! We had the royal-ish, healthy he Turkish & the crème brûlée French toast, everything was cooked fast and presented perfectly. Some of the best food we have had, ever. Staff were friendly and fast, place is kept clean and atmosphere is very welcoming! The wait can be long as they are busy but SO worth the wait, will definitely be back!

Just opened but very slick service. Place is gorgeous, huge windows, booths, window-seats and outside seating. The buttermilk chicken roll was amazing, the giant pizza slices kept the kids happy and the brule french toast looked chunky but light and not overly sweet. Will 100% go back.

If you’re in the mood for a relaxed brunch with top-notch Scottish flavors, Scran + Roadie hits the spot. It’s got those laid-back breakfast cafe vibes down perfectly—clean space, friendly staff, and great food. We tried The Stornoway (black pudding, poached eggs, hollandaise, and a smoky bacon-onion crumb) and The Royal-ish (hot smoked Scottish salmon, pea and chili purée, pickled red onion, poached eggs, hollandaise). Both dishes were beautifully balanced and absolutely delicious. Coffee was solid too—a cappuccino and an Americano that paired well with the food. Prices are reasonable for the quality. A fabulous spot all around. Would gladly go back.

It is popular among both tourists and locals, known for its delicious and reasonably priced food. The cafe provides an intimate yet lively atmosphere with regular open mic nights. Customers have praised the attentive staff and the quality of the dishes, including special pizzas, soups, vegetarian options, and main meals.
Lovely little spot for brunch. The food was presented nicely and was exactly what it said on the menu. I dropped a star simply cause it never really delivered anything WOW, but was still very present and good. The service was very friendly, polite and professional, everything you want and need to enjoy your time at a cafe. The atmosphere was nice, it was pleasant being able to hear my conversation and not have to shout about a noise, however some background music maybe have added to the ambiance. Overall a fantastic little spot in the heart of Glasgow's East end.

I got the hoisin duck baked eggs bowl and can tell you it absolutely didn’t disappoint between both the portion size, flavour and texture I will definitely be returning for the same thing. Although totally full, I didn’t skip out on finishing the whole plate it was so delicious. The service was a little slow but not unreasonable considering how many people were in there

Beautiful food with unique flavour combinations and a great friendly service and atmosphere! We had the pulled duck toastie (delicious), vegan stack (delicious), and the black pudding & duck burger (very delicious)...couldn't get pictures before half of it was gone! Another fantastic meal at Cafe Tibo- I went for the Stornoway eggs Benedict (I think that was it) and it was so delicious I couldn’t eat another thing all day! Service was friendly, genuine and courteous! Can’t wait for return!

Food was delicious and service great. We were served by a tall gentleman with blonde hair and he couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I was shocked to see another review saying that he may have a condition - says a lot about the person who posted. What poor taste. The service provided by this waiter is why we will definitely be back. He went above and beyond. Thank you The only thing I'd say is I didn't enjoy the orange juice, it tasted like it was from a cheap carton. Otherwise everything was great.

Educational institution
The University of Glasgow, established in 1451, is a multi-disciplinary institution and played a significant role during the Scottish Enlightenment. The campus, located in the West End since the 1870s, boasts stunning architecture designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. Its gothic buildings and castle-like turrets are rumored to have inspired J.K. Rowling's Hogwarts. Visitors can stroll through peaceful sunny courtyards and admire the awe-inspiring old buildings that give off a dream castle vibe.
If you’re into architecture, the University of Glasgow is a must-see. The main building is a stunning example of Gothic Revival style, and it genuinely feels like stepping into another era. From the pointed arches and intricate stone carvings to the massive spires that reach into the sky, it’s a place that grabs your attention from every angle. Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 19th century, the building looks more like a cathedral or a fantasy castle than a university. The level of detail is insane — every window, column, and corridor has a story. The cloisters (those arched walkways under the building) are especially beautiful, and they make the whole place feel peaceful and dramatic at the same time. What’s really cool is how the building blends history with everyday life. Students walk through these centuries-old halls daily, and yet it still feels fresh and full of life. It’s one of those rare places where the architecture isn’t just for show — it’s still being used and appreciated the way it was meant to be. Even if you’re not an architecture nerd, it’s impossible not to be impressed. Take a walk through, look up, and just enjoy being surrounded by some of the most beautiful stonework in the city.

This isn’t likely to be on many people’s bucket lists, but if you’re an architecture enthusiast, you’ll definitely want to visit the University of Glasgow. You might think it’s just another school, but it’s not. It has a rich history and numerous architectural features that have stood the test of time. Stepping onto the campus feels like stepping into the past, creating a surreal atmosphere. The university’s preservation is remarkable, and every location is incredibly picturesque. It’s not just a place to learn; it’s a wonderful destination to unwind and be amazed by the architecture. The campus also houses a museum that might interest you. Overall, this is a place you’ll definitely want to visit in Glasgow. It’s a historic architectural masterpiece that transports you back in time.

Don’t miss the Mackintosh House! It is well worth the ticket. It’s just exquisite, almost startling in its delicate beauty and craftsmanship. A feast for the eyes. The permanent collection is also lovely, and grouped by interesting themes, rather than the usual staid chronology. A must when in Glasgow, made even more pleasant by the cheerful staff.

An absolute must for McIntosh fans! McIntosh house is certainly the highlight of this collection and definitely worth the ticket if you're into design/ McIntosh. The rest of th collection doesn't disappoint either so certainly well worth the visit when in Glasgow. Friendly staff and a nice little shop too.

This is an amazing gallery. The Mackintosh house is particularly worth a look. The gallery itself is free, the Mackintosh house is £10 full price and less for concessions. The collection in the main gallery is diverse and interesting. The Mackintosh house is a reconstruction of a house the Mackintoshes lived in. It is just an incredible reconstruction with painstaking attention to detail. The knowledge of the staff is really awesome and they are friendly and thoughtful.

The Tall Ship Glenlee, a restored 19th-century Victorian sailing ship moored on the River Clyde in Glasgow, offers visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the city's rich shipbuilding heritage. The ship, one of only five remaining tall ships built on the Clyde that is still afloat today, features maritime-themed exhibitions and tours.
Great ship but the lower decks are very boring. It is interesting to see but if you don't want to be disapointed, just stay the deck 😉 I would say that if it wouldn't cost any money... but it does.. so enjoy you time and have fun.
SirJ2000 — Google review
I always like setting foot on deck of old ships like this one, however, I gotta say that I enjoyed its sister ship the Cutty Sark in London just a little more. We also visited when it was free to explore, now there’s a small cost. It’s funny to look into the history of this ship and see how many times it has been sold off. The ship is bigger than you’d initially think, but it still doesn’t take too long to explore - an hour tops. It’s a fun stop when in the area.

This ship is definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring the Riverside Museum. Doesn’t take too long to explore but you can get up close in all the main areas from the hold and engine room to the captain and crew quarters. Really nice staff in all areas and even has a cafe and and toilets on board. Well worth a visit and really cheap to get on.

There is a student discount! 7minutes walking from Govan station Took about 30 minutes to skim through! With the free museum next to the ship, about 1-2hours. Good for both adults and kids! Such an amazing experience with an old ship Glenlee! You can learn about history of this ship from the log book of a sailor who was on! It was so much fun imagining myself as a sailor out of at sea!!

The Tallship is beautiful. Its location in a beautiful area. The staff are very friendly. I really appreciated the book I received with my online ticket. I liked how we could visit all decks. The unfortunate part was that the ship has been altered to allow make for an event space.

Amazing to explore a ship that was around in the war. I enjoyed exploring the boat. I enjoyed it more than i thought. There is a small cafe inside thats inexpensive.
Hannah B — Google review
The ship is sa true landmark of Glasgow. Hawing served under many flags It returned to Glasgow and now serves proudly as a stationary landmark of the city's shipbuilding past. The inside is not as impressive as the outside but the best part for me was the cargo hold. I had wonderful time learning bout the boat and connecting with my roots as my grandfather was a welder at the Denny's in Dumbarton. Overall. A must in the city even just to pass by

Loved it in here, really good and spent lots of time walking about. A lot more to the whole place than you’d think from just looking at it.

The Willow Tea Rooms, located at 217 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3EX, United Kingdom, is a charming cafe designed in 1904 with an Art Nouveau theme. It was created during the temperance movement to provide an elegant space for enjoying tea instead of alcohol. Architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh oversaw its construction, and extensive restoration has preserved its original style. The menu features a traditional three-tiered cake tray with baked treats and sandwiches.
I visited the Willow Tea Rooms with my mom and we had such a lovely time! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the unlimited tea was such a treat. We really enjoyed being able to sit, relax, and chat over endless cups. A wonderful experience I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting.☕️🩷

Very nice! Super classy. Bigger than it looks. I was pleased because I had only 30 min to eat before catching a train and they made it happen! Service was EXCELLENT!!! The haggis was ok. I didn’t love the chocolate on the cappuccino, but still an enjoyable experience.

We had a lovely experience here. The Scottish Rarebit was so tasty and my husband avo and poached eggs on sour dough toast. Both meals awesome. This was the first time we had been given a sharp knife for the toast. I was impressed . Definitely recommend this lovely little tea rooms

I tried their afternoon tea set, around £40 for two. It was a nice experience. My partner particularly really liked the smoked salmon sandwich and meringue. I LOVE the fruit scones with butter and jam. Unpretentious and very charming. Tea was nice and hot, in a pretty teacups. I do not know if they can do hot water refill though. Even though they can do walk-ins, I recommend to get a booking since they get busy at times. Conveniently located in Buchanan Street, perfect for a pit stop after a stroll/shopping.

I've always wanted to go but we are usually too busy. This year we managed to visit the Tea Rooms on Buchanan St. It didn't disappoint. I'm unsure whether there is a lift, but the stairs to enter are a little daunting given my slight disability, but I managed it. Absolutely stunning decor, as expected with a cute gift shop. All of the staff are chatty and helpful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The food was amazing and beautifully presented.

Wow such an amazing welcoming afternoon tea experience. We came to the Willow Tea Rooms from London for my partners birthday and the staff were so friendly and the service was 10/10. I was too full to eat my cake that I had selected, so the staff gave me a little box to take back to my hotel. When I had my cake later on OMG it was delicious 10/10 my partner was trying to pinch it after devouring his earlier. I didn’t manage to get the manager’s name but she was absolutely lovely and gave us some great recommendations for visiting Glasgow. Thank you The Willow Tea rooms we will definitely be back.

A bit spenny but it is a novelty and a historical landmark! Lovely service from the staff and the food is quite nice I had the goats cheese salad and the earl grey tea. Have to say it was very nice

Decorated in the style of McIntosh early 1900's Tea Room. Fun to sit and drink tea in this beautiful environment. The staff was very friendly and the wait wasn't long considering that we just walked in. Chili was wonderful and not too expensive.

Korean restaurant
Bibimbap is a modern Korean cafe located on West Nile Street, offering traditional and fusion fare along with creative cocktails. The menu features Korean comfort food such as the popular bibimbap rice dish, teokbokki spicy rice cakes, and sides like Kimchi. The restaurant also caters to gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Visitors can enjoy authentic Korean cuisine including bulgogi, japchae, saeu (prawn katsu curry), and Korean fried chicken.
We visited Bibimbap for the first time and it did not disappoint. We had 2 mains, 2 sides, 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 Korean soft drinks which came to £62 which i found to be decent value. All of the food was really tasty and well portioned. Try the Korean soft drinks as they are really nice especially Milkis. Staff very nice and welcoming.

Dinner was fantastic. The beef melted in the mouth and was full of flavour. The cocktails where lovely also however they had ran out of there Korean sweet bag but that gives us a reason to go back again 😅😊

The place is cool, decor too the server was really attentive don’t remember his name. The space could be better as we were right next to the door space was a little crunched, however the food was too good. Prawn tempura Katsu curry was to die for. Bibimbap could be more flavourful as the sauce was just too sweet for me but overall it was good.
Reema D — Google review
Really enjoyed the food here! They have some nice vegan options, which I appreciated. I’d love to see even more plant-based choices on the menu, especially cold drinks like smoothies or milkshakes made with plant-based milks. That said, I still wouldn’t mind coming back - the food was tasty and worth the visit!

Went a few weeks ago and had a very odd service experience. Arrived and had to wait a long time for a member of staff to approach and sit us down, not clear why. We had our order taken by someone who did not use a notepad to record what we wanted and was clearly struggling to remember everything. Low and behold, one of the meals was wrong. We notified a different member of staff who said they'd look into it but then didn't return and continued to serve other tables. By this time I'd finished my meal and other person's dish hadn't been replaced and we hadn't been told what was going on. We were finally approached by a third member of staff who asked if we were enjoying our meal, so we said no we're still waiting for our dish to be replaced! He seemed to sort it and dish came a few minutes later - don't know if issue has been already flagged and was in the process of being cooked but the lack of communication was very odd. Waiter said sorry but there wasn't really any attempt to compensate us i.e offer a free drink or money off. Not essential but not much recognition that our experience had been affected by bad service. Food was nice but wouldn't return or recommend based off pretty shoddy service which left a weird vibe for our meal.

The team at Bibimbap were so lovely and attentive - shout out to Sam who was a fantastic host and great chat. Food was incredible - fresh, packed with flavour, and huge portions too. Will absolutely be coming back and would 100% recommend as a lovely mid-week dinner either as a date night, with friends, or even a solo diner.

Delicious kimchi fried rice, incredible pancakes, and the best kimchi jjigae outside my aunty’s kitchen - one of my favourite food spots in Glasgow, with plenty of veggie options.
Jennifer N — Google review
My husband and myself visited on Wednesday 19th March on our 1st "around the world food odyssey ", first time trying Korean food. We did ask Maria our server for any recommendations and with her helpful and sunny disposition her choices were spot on. Tom had the chicken and cheese (not too spicy) but full of flavour while I chose the stir fried (beautifully wafer thin) pork which was lovely and spicy for me. All the dishes came out together and we had also ordered the potato/kimchi pancake ( to share) and 1x portion of boiled rice/radish kimchi and we were also given lettuce leaves and tamarind sauce on the side. We had x2 diet cokes to drink. Have to say that the portions are good, maybe a little large because we couldn't finish it all and service was brilliant from Maria. We will be back.

The Spanish Butcher in Glasgow is a trendy restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, specializing in Spanish-inspired meat and seafood dishes. It's the latest addition from the team behind The Butcher Shop and Hutcheson's, offering an effortlessly cool design and an exciting menu. From Grade 9 Galician steak to 30-month salt-cured Iberico Jamon, whole Turbot, and grilled octopus, the restaurant showcases some of Scotland's finest ingredients.
Much better value for money for a nice dinner in town compared to nearby fancy’ish places! Excellent service and delicious food! A side dish is included if you get an entree, I got the bone marrow - highly recommended!
Alice W — Google review
We visited the Spanish Butcher for a birthday meal. It was a 215pm booking and the restaurant was pretty empty. The staff were ok, but setting the standards low but when we got seated the chap was keen to walk away and we just about got drinks from him. He did come back with the drinks pretty quick but rushed off right away. Starters we got prawns and then scallops. Both dishes were nice. For mains we got the fish and I got gelecian fillet Med rare. The fish was nice and best part no bones. The steak was pretty decent for the price. It was seared very very nice. As it was my birthday meal the restaurant did give a card. Nice touch. If your reading this far your see why I dropped 2 stars on food. For the price the prawns was a good size but the scallops were really small. I should drop 2 stars we had a stone in the lentils and typically I ended up crunching down and chipped a filling. I did show the staff they said sorry and gave us a free dessert. Not 2 but one. Drinks was a reason I added a food star as they were really reasonable in price. Not a typical rip off with restaurants these days I’m not sure I would return. But would say this place is worth a shot

Beautiful restaraunt, service from the staff was incredible. Explained the menu in depth and gave recommendations based on what we were looking for and generally just a very good and positive attitude which I feel can make the atmosphere of a place. Food absolutely couldn’t fault at all it was insane. It is pricey and there is a 12.5% service charge added which is quite steep however this experience was worth every penny. One of the best places I’ve ever visited and steak was cooked to perfection. You defo do need to book to get in here 😊

Arguably the best steakhouse in glasgow alongside Tiffany's! Came here a couple of years ago & absolutely loved it. Miles ahead of Miller & carter. So many different steak options, mines was marbled and cooked to perfection. Would highly reccomend to anybody thats looking for a high end steak!

Had such a great night at The Spanish Butcher, on Monday! The tomahawk steak was cooked to absolute perfection — so tender and full of flavour. The mac and cheese was honestly next level, could’ve eaten a whole bowl of it on its own! 😂 Huge shoutout to Louisa who looked after us — her service was spot on from start to finish, super friendly and made us feel really welcome. Can’t wait to go back already!

My friend and I came for the Sunday roast menu but were too late. It worked in our favor as we ended up getting the prime rib. Great cut and the sides were amazing. Great date night vibes. I will be back for the tomahawk!

Best steak in long time. A lovely restaurant in a nice intimate setting. Courteous and attentive staff, quality decor, great setting. Food was out quickly and of high quality. We had chateaubriand, Scottish sirloin and gallacia fillet. All were cooked well and sides and starters with generous portions. Semi open kitchen which looked immaculate, along with rest of restaurant. One minor point is there was one diner with nut allergy as per booking which was not addressed by staff. We are careful, have pen ready and know nothing is guaranteed with any kitchen, but its strange for it not to be acknowledged. Will go back again, as lovely steak restaurants are a rare thing.

Had an amazing time. Very cost vibe. Went there with a friend and we both left super happy. Had the drinks and some fries, very sad to not try the other food as we were not that hungry. But we vibed on the drinks and chatted and it was so comfortable. The staff is lovely. Happy faces and smiles. Will definitely come back.

Stopped in for a full breakfast, which was amazing -- and then I got to make my own Bloody Mary! Usually I prefer to leave mixology to the pros but I got a double gin before adding exactly the hot sauce, spices, and garnishes I wanted. Perfect with breakfast.

This bookclub bar had great vibes and an awesome Photo Booth that my friend and I definitely abused LOL. The drinks were pretty cheap and there was ping pong, Pac-Man, pool, and board games. Big time fan of the bookclub since it opened. Try and beat my high scores on PAC man. Enjoy some table tennis for free. Food is great with the chicken and waffles option that seems to be a weegie delicacie. Great tunes and layout. Got very trendy later on with the "it" crowd. Great for food and drinking and socialising.

The Sunday Roast dinner was absolutely fantastic. Every part of it was perfect and it really was a brilliant meal. The dessert fondue was also different class and really topped the meal off nicely. I cant recommend this meal option highly enough. Absolutely fantastic

Don’t be fooled by social media came from Dundee for a roast not worthy of Toby Carvery Sunday roast was stone cold had to be returned along with table opposite. Fillet steak was unavailable and swapped with 3 slices of roast beef for the same price. Were seated outside but rain was leaking through Perspex roof onto table so had to ask to be moved. First roast came and was cold had to be returned then second roast came and was look warm at best. I appreciate the fondue is there for warm gravy to warm the meat a bit but wouldn’t stay lit the whole time we were there so gravy went cold very quick despite staff relighting 3 times overall one of worst meals I have eaten in Glasgow for £79.80 for a roast to share 2 french martinis and 2 flat morettis Pints of lager flat also as per pics
Steven M — Google review
Went to try their Sunday roast fondue, which was absolutely delicious. Meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The amount was perfect for two people. Would definitely recommend trying this with a friend. We also had one vegetarian and one vegan person in our party, so they shared the vegetable platter and the vegan cheese fondue. They swapped the soda bread for sourdough. My vegetarian friend was pleasantly surprised at how nice the vegan cheese fondue was. The place is a bit rustic but comfortable. The table was a bit wobbly and the water glasses were dirty. We asked for clean one but unf they were just as bad. Service to start with was okay as it was busy when they first opened but a couple of hours later it was difficult to get our waiters attention so we had to grab another staff member and ask to get our plates taken away. We did order more drinks, which we had to ask for again, and when they came, one was the wrong size. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and were happy we made the trip from Edinburgh for it.
Lorinda W — Google review
Enjoyed the Sunday roast fondue, menu said it’s good for 2 but the 4 of us were stuffed after sharing. Steak was beautifully pink, gravy was perfectly salty, carrots and parsnips caramelised and Yorkshire massive!! Incredibly happy and what a fun and unique way to eat a roast. Dessert fondue was also lovely, pears were fresh and the marshmallows were soft and we were very happy.

The food was good and hit the spot. We loved the food, but the service wasn't the greatest. We were forgotten about for a long time when we were trying to order more drinks and desserts, and when we tried to pay, they didn't even know what check it was and were upset that we didnt know our table number when there was no number on the table for us to know.
Alicia G — Google review
We had to wait a bit for the table we booked, and were then rushed off the table before we had our alloted time. The food was good and reasonably priced. Hopefully it was just an off day for the service side.

Visited with friend. First time trying food at Brel, ordered half pot of mussel's, Raclette sharing platter and meat board. Had 2 pints each and all came to £70. Food was fantastic, and server help with decision making. Could easily have been shared between 3/4 people as we had leftovers. Strongly recommend.
