What a disaster. This place should represent the good Italian food? No way! The quality of the food is low, prices are pretty high. You need to pay 10/15€ to access to a place where actually you will have to pay for each activity. It's like paying to enter in a shopping mall. All the attractions were closed. The food is not representing the quality of Italian food. You can find much better just by going to the supermarket. Last but not least I did not appreciate the way that they take care of the animals at the entrance. The space seems to little for them and it looks they are not happy. I am mot giving one star only because the the place is nicely decorated and the atmosphere is nice. People are also friendly.

Really great place and idea, hidden in the back of Bologna it feels like your heading into a ferry terminal. 🍤 The food selection is large but it is mainly seafood. 🌱 They don’t offer a variety of vegetarian or vegan options. 🍷 lots of wine options but you will pay atleast double the price of what you can pay for online. 🛝 there is a kids play area which tree top walk which is great and the staff are very helpful and friendly. 🅿️ plenty of parking An indoor 🏎️ Go-kart track is being built.

This might be the most bizzare place in Italy. The vibe is probably much nicer when the place is full (if ever?!), but it's mostly just creepy. Skip, you can find much nicer food and atmosphere almost anywhere.

Ghost town. Really weird. Toilets are not well maintained. Play machines for kids (racing, shooting, etc) are mostly broken. We went for a pizza - very mediocre pizza and service.

Free to go in. But the food and stuff is not free. You can buy tickets for some of the exhibits if you like. They have some live animals you can see. They have all of Italy have to offer but the rare steak. We spent over 4 hours here because someone was a foodie in our group and wanted to try everything. You can rent a bike and baby wagon for free you just need your passport. The building is leed green and very modern and clean. Prices for the food is about average nothing too crazy over priced.

Awesome place. Still brand new and could use a few minor tweaks, but overall, it's THE theme park for foodies of all ages. Gourmet and educational. FREE entrance and the prices inside are pretty much aligned with what you'll find downtown. Easy to access thanks to the dedicated bus line from the train station (7€ round trip).

The food tour was great but Eataly itself was a disappointment: no food demonstrations, closed shops, unfriendly staff, deserted places. The exhibits are less informational and more kid friendly play exhibits e.g. "what animal height are you?" The farm outside is lovely when you arrive. We were also a bit confused: it feels like a food court but also has volleyball and a skin care product section. None of the exhibits or short videos were playing and the place felt empty on our Saturday afternoon visit in the middle of summer. Empty food shelves as well.

The coop people were not too nice and I was expecting the best from emilia Romagna people but it’s ok. I will go to spend my money elsewhere

If uou go here its for the great food shop which is overwhelmingly big with great selections of wines, fresh produce and appliances etc. the food shop also has its own snack shop which rivals the food court 👍

I'm not a shopper but for those who are I can see this place fitting the bill nicely. It has a wide variety of retail outlets as well as the biggest supermarket (Coop) I've seen in Italy so far. It is huge. Oh, and free Wi-Fi and there's nice coffee at Gustavo.

Beautiful church in Bologna old town center ! Few minutes from Piazza Maggiore ! The church has baroque style with inside paintings and sculptures! A worth to visit

This is an amazing structure. Left unfinished on the front facades at the behest of the Pope of the time to avoid bettering the Vatican. Internally, it is vast. Obviously religious in appearance, with private areas to the left, cost to enter, probably important persons memorial areas. I found the time line or something on the floor interesting. It included zodiac symbols, dates( I think) and some type of calibration. If in Bologna, it is a must see.

I'm so glad that I had time to visit and explore the Cathedral Metropolitana di San Pietro while I'm was in Bologna. Located on the top of Via Indipendenza near the Maggiore Square is a must see. The Cathedral it used to be the main church in the city, which it was rebuilt after the fire in 1141. The bell tower is the second tallest in the city but on my visit it was close. Is worth mentioning to visit the crypt as at the back you can see the ruins of an older church. The church is free to visit

Kinda hidden and not, right there on main street. I can say it is huge, all for glory of God....or who paid to build it😀 Before 16-17th huge renovations there were famous frescoes who had influence on Michelangelo, unfortunatelly most are Lost, but some can still be seen.

Absolutely jaw dropping cathedral hidden away in plain sight the center of the city! The entry is free, all day, except for when there is a service. The architecture is fantastic, and the interior is squeaky clean. A careful look at the designs will uncover certain symbols that will get you thinking about the story of this place… Can only wonder about all the secrets these walls have heard over the centuries.

My favorite cathedral in Bologna. Not only because of the massive architecture and beautiful paintings! But also because you can almost occasionally have a free church organ performance that is situated on the ground floor and you’ll get to enjoy the divine music and hymns…

A beautiful Cathedral built over 900 years ago.. Easily missed while walking from the train station to the main downtown Plaza. Stop in and admire the architecture (plus you can get off your feet for a few minutes, by sitting in the back pews).. No admission charge..

This fountain is truly a work of art! Perfect place to sit, take in and observe it's beauty. There is a certain calm that washes over one's body while near this fountain.

Neptune’s Fountain is a beautiful landmark right in the heart of Piazza Maggiore. The statue was created in the 16th century by Giambologna and shows Neptune towering over the square as a symbol of power and abundance. The craftsmanship is incredible and the details are striking when you see it up close. The surrounding square is just as impressive, lined with historic buildings that make you feel like you have stepped back into Renaissance Italy. We loved visiting and found it to be a place where history, art, and the daily life of the city all come together. It is definitely one of the highlights of Bologna and worth taking the time to enjoy. If you want the best photos and a quieter atmosphere, visit early in the morning before the crowds arrive.

Certainly an impressive sight and worth visiting if you are in the area! It is one of the more touristy areas of Bologna so it is much busier - the Fountain itself puts a lot of smiles on people’s faces, you’ll see why!

An intriguing and a bit lewd...the Neptune Fountain in Bologna is a photo op and rest stop if nothing else. Who could miss the opportunity to see the water squirting so playfully? After the giggles take a few minutes and marvel at the work involved in creating the fountain...then think of the whimsy “Pietra della Vergogna” or “Stone of Shame” is the secret of Bologna. Local pride, history and culture all come together in Neptune's Fountain...another work brought to the world by the Medicis.

Perhaps my favorite statue in Italy, and I saw tons of them. You really need to see it to believe it. Photos don't do it justice. I love this city.

Buzzing space with lots of options for light bites, plus some stalls selling local and fresh produce. Great place to stop for a snack or light lunch. Sorelle Ribelli has delicious salads and lots of veggie options.

Good for food lovers. We had lasagna and ravioli from the first shop at the entrance. It is seemed to be the busier one. Delicious and one of the best lasagna i have ever had. Drinks were really good as well

Lots of dining options in this plaza and a great way to try traditional foods without breaking the bank. We especially enjoyed this pasta place. The pastas are made fresh and cooked when ordered. You have full view of the bar and kitchen so you can clearly see how clean they keep the space even during the busiest hours.

Very nice foodmarket in the centre of Bologna. Today end of septembre it is still very crowded in the centre with tourist all over the world. The Mercato offers a nimber of shops mostly specialized f.e. On pasta, wine, pizza, panini etc. It is a lovely place to eat and enjoy.

It is a marketplace where you can find almost all the foods you expect to buy in Italy, especially pasta, cheese and charcuterie.

We have visited here on Saturday which the place it was extremely busy, but we did manage to find a table and enjoy a drink and a coffee. Very reasonable prices and a lot of choices from pasta, pizzas, panini's, cakes, cold meats, cheeses and drinks. There's something for everyone.

97m tall tower build in year 1119. Still standing 👍 At this moment the inside is closed. The smaller tower is really lean strongly to the side.

Le Due Torri are impossible to miss and even harder to stop staring at. Rising at a dramatic tilt over the heart of Bologna, the Asinelli and the leaning Garisenda towers feel like something out of a medieval fantasy; tall, weathered, and slightly defiant against the modern city buzzing below. They're not just symbols of Bologna; they are Bologna, standing watch over centuries of change. Even from the ground, they carry a sense of mystery and gravity that makes you pause and look up; just like everyone else passing by.

We had seen the Two Towers on Rick Steve's show and wanted to take a look while in Bologna on our trek through Europe. The towers were easy to find. Google maps brought us right to them. The construction on the streets around the towers as well as the tower project made it difficult to get good pictures. We could see pretty well but so much chaos going on and it was very loud...we moved along promptly.

Absolutely beautiful tourist attraction, a lot of history. Unfortunately climbing up wasnt an option as it got closed when I went to visit a week ago.

A massive cathedral in the very centre of Bologna that’s definitely not to be missed. There is so much to see inside and try and take in that more than one visit may be required. It’s also a great place for a seat and rest especially when it’s so hot outside.

Cathedral in the heart of Bologna city center. If you're here do stop by! Make sure you are dressed appropriately, while its a free visit they do ask that you respect the dress code with covered knees and covered shoulders. It's rich in history and has various chapels worth visiting. The chapel holding the last judgement was closed for us but typically 5€ to visit. Again because it holds the last judgements painting. Would've loved to see it up close. But dont let that stop you from seeing the entire church and each chapel The chapels hold different ornaments and beautiful paintings, take you're time. Translate the plaques research the history its always worth it. Take time to enjoy the church and enjoy all the history inside. And dont forget to look down the tiles/floor holds secrets too!

The Basilica di San Petronio is absolutely breathtaking and well worth a visit if you’re in Bologna. We went over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait to enter. Even though it was busy inside, the sheer size of the basilica meant we could explore at our own pace and really soak in the atmosphere. The history here is incredible — construction began in the late 14th century, and it was originally intended to be even larger than St. Peter’s in Rome. Today, it remains one of the largest brick churches in the world, with an interior that feels both grand and peaceful. One tip: they are strict about the dress code, so be sure to cover your shoulders and avoid shorts or skirts cut too high above the knees. A small effort for such an unforgettable experience!

A very interesting church in the central square of Bologna, ( and definitely had more character than the cathedral). Because of it's location, and the more of I heard about it from other tours and events going on in the area, I ended up visiting this church 3 times within 3 days. However, every time I visited, I learned something new, such as how the built sundials work, or something about one of the many chapels in the building. There were soldiers at the front, which was a little unusual for other churches, but it seemed to cause no issues when visiting.

So many churches and cathedrals in Italy it is a challenge to see them all and a bigger challenge to know which ones might hold something even more special than the last. The Basilia di San Petronio is worth stopping in and visiting. While there is so much to see some of the artwork in the side chapels are remarkable and masterpieces in their own right. Take a little time to research before your visit and you'll find some very interesting paintings. Many com for its fresque of the Last Judgment. The prophet Mohammed is painted naked, his head devoured by a devil, in hell. The Basilica's half-finished marble façade is decorated with works by famous sculptors such as Jacopo della Quercia, Aspertini and Alfonso Lombardi. The central door features sculptures by Jacopo della Quercia depicting prophets and stories from the Bible, as well as a Madonna with a Child, Saint Ambrose and Saint Petronius. These sculptures would later inspire none other than Michelangelo, who spent some time in Bologna as a young man. The façade also features sculptures by Properzia de’ Rossi, one of the rare female sculptors of the Renaissance.

A superb place to try cured meats from the region. Primarily aimed at tourists, but the food is amazing and fresh nevertheless. The taglieri (platter) is great value for money.

Salumeria Simoni is a great stop for salami plates mortadella and cheese. Christian served us in the best manner and we enjoyed our beer and wine in a lovely night!

What a gem! I was totally surprised as everything was top quality. It looked like I was the only tourist in the store. The choices was amazing and I couldn’t resist buying a few items to eat on while we were on the walking tour of Bologna. I only wish we had such choice in New York.

Yesterday, I had a great coffee there, and the whole experience was great. The barista suggested a new coffee with pistachio, and it was more than great. Today, the 15th of May, I went there at 13:45, there was a lady at the cashier who made this whole experience very bad. She wasn't helpful and not friendly at all. She didn't wanna work just directing people to the digital screens for orders! I really suggest the management investigate such behaviour by employees! If they don't wanna work, why are they hired!!

Went there because i loved appearance of their pistachio croissant. The croissant itself was cheap (3€) and not that bad, but I have definitely had better ones. The filling was combination of pistachio custard with pistachio butter which was badly much rich in sugar and fatty heaviness. I had to remove part of the butter with spoon to fully enjoy the pastry. The place has an anonymous and touristy vibe. Service is not existing. I would not say it is a bad place, it is great when you need some quick snack or coffee, and chill in the air conditioned space.

Great value for the money, easy to order via touch screen. They have a rooftop terrace to enjoy your food and ample indoor seating.

I enjoyed the tortellini with green sauce and Parmesan, the pasta was firm but not undercooked, the pork filling had a savoury, and umami-like flavour, and the colour was beautiful green. The portion size felt acceptable, and the price seemed more or less fair for a restaurant in the heart of Bologna. Overall, I had a good experience, though I’m only maybe sure I’d come back.

Remember the recite you get from the order terminal. You order your food, pay on the terminal and it spits out a recite. The warm food will be prepared automatically and your buzzer will buzz when its pickup time. But you need to deliver the recite to get your cold food and agin in the batboy get your drinks. Confusing for a non Italian. Guess its standard practice in Italy. This place was our favorite place. Food is good, especially breakfast. The croissants are to die for. The Nutella and apricot jam are simply amazing and soooo messy. Coffee the best in town.

Pasta only after 12pm Pistachio coffee sucks, the coffee is terribly bitter and acidic and the pistachio cream was way too little to save it Tortellini dolce isn't well fried at all Coffee cream is pretty decent, although (perhaps thankfully for the coffee at this place) the coffee taste was weak Zuppa inglese is disgusting You're welcome to stay here for a long time tho, it's a huge place with many tourists

I can’t rate everything as I only went for breakfast, but it was quite good overall. The Gorilla crema e gocce di cioccolato and Tortellone fritto dolce were delicious, though the Americano was a bit below average.

BEST LASAGNA I HAVE EVER HAD!!! This place is a real gem in the center of Bolo, and everybody should eat here at least once in a lifetime. The staff was super friendly and attentive, gave the best recommendations (they have different fresh products everyday, yesterday it was porcini: yummy!!). The food is just insane. I will come back to try the rest of the menu for sure!! Grazie mille ragazzi, a presto!!!

Absolutely recommended! I can only speak highly of the place. My fiancée and I voted da Nello as the best restaurant in the world. We first saw the restaurant in a video by a well-known Hungarian vlogger, and we made a detour to Bologna specifically for da Nello at the beginning of our Tuscan vacation. It was absolutely worth it! The tagliatelle al ragu was divine, the cheesecake was heavenly, as was all their other dishes. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. At the end, we even managed to get together with them for a picture and received a small ceramic bottle of limoncello as a gift. Thank you to the entire staff of da Nello! When we were raving to the waiter about how amazing this place was, he immediately asked if we wanted to see how the food was prepared. He got us up and took us down to the kitchen, where everyone greeted us cheerfully. Later, we wanted to take a photo with the owner, who happily posed with us and, laughing, joked that we must be from Hungary. The price was a bit higher because we also had a bottle of wine and one of the dishes was for two people. If you're ever in Bologna, this place is an absolute must! The food is simply fantastic, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful!

I passed by at 11.55 and saw the people waiting. I was curious. I had a perfect risotto with mushroom porcino. They white wine made it even more perfect! Thank you The service also perfect!

We were recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious. Highly recommend the veal and tortellini, however everything else also looked amazing. Make a reservation before, especially on the weekend as they get busy!

Our train arrived late so we had to cancel our original reservations at another restaurant. One hotel recommended Rjagorante Da Nello and OMG! The food were amazing! I never had interest in mortadella until now! The tagliatelle bolognese was just perfect, I loved the texture of the meat and the perfect balance of sauce to pasta. The veal cutlet with truffle sauce was to die for!! This was the best first dinner in Bologna I could ask for!

Went to Ristorante da Nello al Montegrappa for our first lunch in Bologna, and really enjoyed the food. I was cautious at first, because I wasn’t sure if this would be a tourist trap given its close proximity to the city center. Fortunately, this wasn’t an issue! The meal itself was really good, especially their tortellini with ragu. There was also plenty of outdoor seating with shade covering, which was great considering it was very hot in Bologna. Usually I would recommend eating far away from the city center, but this restaurant is a great option for lunch if you’re visiting the city!

The tasting menu was the best meal I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly prepared. The dishes were unique and delicious. The wine suggestions were spot on.

Lovely atmosphere. Well spaced tables and recently renovated premises. Service was very friendly and waiters provided great suggestions for wines and also informed us of each dish as they were presented. Nice touches reflecting local ingredients. Food overall was interesting and well done, although one or two dishes were somewhat bland in my opinion. There were complementary starters, palate cleansers and post dessert petit fours.

This was a great experience. We had a cocktail in the bar first - terrific negroni for me. We were able to enjoy our drinks and then move into the dining room. The room is lovely with a stunning roof fresco. We opted to go with the 6 course tasting surprise menu. There were extra little amuse bouche through the meal. The service was excellent. The main older man with the grey hair explained each dish very well and seemed proud of the food. We really liked him. The sommelier was very good too. We started with a local white wine and then went onto a red wine. Both were lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It felt like a proper treat. I would recommend if you want a special meal in Bologna.

Great find in Bologna. Ended up booking this during my honeymoon with my wife and they went above and beyond to make the experience special. Went with the tasting menu set by the kitchen and was impressed with the mix of traditional and more experimental modern ones as well. Service was a standout with the servers working more as a team- in particular Andrea took the time to discuss some of the history of the restaurant with us which was super cool.

I visited this restaurant to celebrate my birthday and chose the full tasting menu with the wine pairing. The service was excellent and the food was truly well prepared – refined and delicious throughout the eight courses. However, the experience felt unbalanced: there was simply too much food, while the wine servings were disappointingly small for the price. At €80 for the pairing, I expected more generous pours and a smoother flow between wines. The pre-dinner glass of champagne (€20) was also surprisingly small. Overall, a fine restaurant with great service and food, but the value and proportions could be improved.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and thought “wow” the whole time? This is how you will feel if you come here. It was an absolute fantastic culinary experience… every detail, taste is felt. The service was incredible and on top of it, the restaurant design and ceiling is like a museum in itself. Do yourself a favour and come here while in Bologna, it will be a highlight in your journey!

Never to be forgotten…we have spent the past 4 weeks ‘living’ here in Bologna - visiting from Tasmania, Australia. Last night we came to I Carracci to celebrate both our 50th wedding anniversary and our combined 70th birthdays this year. From our first interaction with Simone, where we came in prior to ensure that we would have the correct dress code (as travellers), to the whole experience, we were blown away. The ambience of being seated in an historic room, served magnificent food (there was nothing that was not flavoursome nor so unique) and was topped off by being made to feel so special with a candlelit dessert decorated Buona Anniversario! Was very disorganized and ill equipped to handle complications such as flight delay and cancellation. We were placed in the hallway to the plane that was uncomfortably hot (33+ degrees outside) for about thirty minutes with no communication. There were many families that had to sit down in the ground with their children because it was like a green house in there. The helpdesk lady didn't speak much English, which was frustrating when our SAS flight to Copenhagen was suddenly canceled and we wanted information. The staff aren't the most polite, but that might just be an Italian culture thing, as I'm used to more delicate customer care. The area past security was very packed, so it MIGHT be smarter to go through security closer to your departure instead of 3 hours before, like we did. There was an area with a crazy line because they weren't using the dividers properly, but they got very upset when I tried to film the line.

I had an early flight and discovered that after midnight, there’s no public transport from the main train station to the airport except taxis. So, we took the last Marconi Express to the airport. Unfortunately, the waiting area was far from comfortable—no cozy chairs to rest in, and the existing seats were deliberately designed with fixed armrests to prevent passengers from lying down. There’s no lounge available either, and in this situation, I’d have gladly paid for a comfortable spot to relax for a few hours. Overall, it was a dreadful experience with poor service. I hope to never repeat it.

Nice airport. Sufficient food and drinks options. Behind security there are many shops. Airport is open 24/7. When traveling from the direction of Lippo there is no pedestrian walkway and you must take a bus or taxi. Good connections to city center.

We arrived at the airport late like 1am. The taxi queue is long however it is still possible to get a taxi if you wait. You can also use Uber. It was about €37 from the airport to somewhere near Bologna Centrale station. There are water fountains after passport check. On our way out, we saw a carrefour so it should be quite convenient.

You can check my profile. I've traveled a lot, and I've never been in a worse airport than this one. There's just not enough space for all the people they are cramming into this place and not only that, the air conditioning is inexistent. It's not only claustrophobic and suffocating but I think it's simply not even safe. I'm thirsty and it's impossible to buy water in the waiting area next to the gates due to the excess of people lining up on every store. There's no space to sit. I ended up having to sit on the floor next to security. Never come here.

I wish I could give -5/5 AND PLEASE TAKE A TAXI if you can!!!! My rating is solely focused on the god awful monorail - Marconi Express! They charge 25 euros for 2 people and provide BUSES. Then there is a person who just makes you buy the ticket without any explanation for how much the ticket is and how long it will take for the bus to come. Then the horror continues because every bus obviously cannot hold as many people as the train can, so you wait for at least 45 minutes in a line along with the sun burning you and the flies sitting on you. Buses do NOT have enough seats. Do yourself a favor and pay for a taxi! Which we also tried to do but these TPer tickets are NOT refundable, in anyway possible - their website literally recommends you to take another means of transportation if you have an appointment somewhere, just awful! Overall just don't arrive at this airport if you want to visit Bologna. It's not possible to reach the city with their horrible connection. EDIT: the replacement bus is single most squeaky bus I have ever taken in Europe, and it is as shaky as an Auto-Rikscha in Asia (see attached video) PLEASE TAKE A TAXI if possible 🙏🙏🙏

Passaport control full of staff doing little more than pointing people to various queues and low quality epassport scanners, slower and less reliable than in any other airport I have ever been to. I have had the same experience nearly every time flying form out side the EEA and recent renovations seem to have made things worse instead of better.

Unfriendly staff. When they think you're a foreigner they are rude to you when they realize you're a tourist then they're helpful. Very disappointing experience. Wouldn't recommend visiting.

Stopped by to charge our car and get takeaway food and other things from the supermarket, kids chose lasagna at one of the stalls. The lasagna was too small and overpriced, the kids found it too salty.

It is currently not working. There is a lot of roadworks around so it can be for a longer time. Parking looks large enough.

I only know about the supermercato I shopped at there, not the smaller shops in the mall- the supermercato, a Coop, Is large, well supplied, with helpful friendly staff and reasonable prices, like most Coops.

Such an odd place. If you go by foot from the city center it takes around 1h. The walk is quite nice because you get to see different parts of Bologna. The area of the MAST is like a miniature Storm King. There were a lot of security men (MIB) and free roaming of the whole compound was impossible. The vibe was off.

Beautiful, spacious gallery that is a bit far out from the centre of town but well worth the trip. I think they only have space for one exhibition but the one they had was great to explore. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only marked down slightly because it could really do with a place to eat and a shop as we wanted to have mementos of our time there.

Incredible modern architecture, free entrance, free coffee, Gursky exhibition fills the space insanely well. Easily reachable from the center of Bologna by bus

Most elegant museum I’ve been to. The staff is incredibly courteous and discreet. Even the bathroom are fancy, the art is incredible. But again I’m visiting from the US so… At this time, you need proof of negative Covid test or proof of vaccination, and they provide you with an N95 mask.

Fantastic building. The architecture and the exhibition spaces are stunning. I hesitated to give them a 5 because they don't have a bookshop or a cafe/restaurant for the public. Must visit if you are in Bologna. Need to get on a bus or a cycle to get there since it's about 5kms away from the center.

I visit photo exhibitions here, with my kids, sometimes. Very like its architecture and quietness. There's a permanent exposition of some machinery and games which is adorable by people of any age.

Nice park with a big green area. During summer time there are also some food trucks and sometimes they host cultural events. Not very good the presence of a lot of mosquitos in the warm season.

It's a beautiful and big park.Nice place for making photos with nature.People used to go there for walking,running, jogging etc.You can go with your pet.Moreover, you can ride on horses here.Also you can go with your trainer to do exercises here.Kids can play here without danger.

The best park in the city

Beautiful place in nature a bit hidden and 10mins walking g from the Bologna Central Train Station. Has nice pieces of ceramics well desolated art works to enjoy a sit and be submerged in all green park and two minutes will take you to the sostengo an path trails in direction to Corticella along the Navile river area of stunning walks. I well recommend it 🚶🏽🚴

We couldn't have started our week better than with a meal at Le Golosità Di Nonna Aurora! The food was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor, and full of authenticity—just like a home-cooked Italian meal should be. Every bite was a delight, and you can truly feel the love and passion in their dishes.

A Huge Disappointment – Not Up to Michelin Standards We visited this restaurant with high expectations and were excited for a 7-course menu with wine pairings. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing Michelin experiences we’ve ever had. While the dishes were beautifully presented, the flavor combinations were outright unsuccessful. The entire menu was marked by an overwhelming use of smoky elements, which dominated and became monotonous across almost every dish. Out of the seven courses, there was only one we actually finished. We left the rest uneaten, despite the small portions—not because we were full, but because the food simply wasn’t enjoyable. The most memorable parts of the meal were the snacks served beforehand: a puffed chip and a lemon sorbet, which were well-balanced and tasty. But it says a lot when the snacks are the highlight of a Michelin menu. The wine pairing was also disappointing. One of the "wines" turned out to be a beer, which—while creative in concept—was a complete misstep. The beer had an intense smell of cow urine (not just the barnyard notes one might encounter in some natural wines). The waiter laughed and acknowledged that the beer had a peculiar flavor, which seemed to be part of the intended experience or a gimmick. Unfortunately, this did nothing to improve the situation, and we were left with an unusually unpleasant taste experience without being offered an alternative. We expected a world-class meal but left the restaurant feeling both disappointed and frustrated. If this is the standard they are presenting, it’s hard to see how they can retain their Michelin star.

I had the best experience of food, service and atmosphere at this local . The best dishe I have ever had was Risone. Absolutely amazing. The main course (beef) was really unique. The creativity was super high. I had experienced a lot of new flavors. Last but not least thanks to waiters and managers for their perfect service and this special experience.

Highly recommended. One of my best meal in Italy. Very relaxing ambience, delicious food, and attentive service. Enjoyed the experience here. Saw other comments think the food is substandard but I think the restaurant made a good effort to customize for the guests and the food was actually better than other Michelin starred restaurant I tried in Milan.

We had quite a disappointing experience at the restaurant. We had 9 course surprise menu with wine pairing for 650 euro for two person. Most of the dishes were simply not tasty. One of the course was ruined by putting too much vinegar, so it was very acidic. One of the bites (I think it was asparagus) was not edible because it was too tough so it wasn't possible to chew it. There were a few dishes that we liked (like fish pasta or chicken fillet), but those were too basic for a Michelin restaurant – something you would find in a regular restaurant. The wine selection was okay. We really liked two wines from the menu, the rest was just fine. The service was too cold. Formally, the waiters did everything they are expected to do. But it felt like they just followed the script and didn't really care about us.

The experience was superb, and the food was excellent. We visited last night and chose the 7-course menu without the wine option, as we don't drink alcohol. The location is amazing, with an elegant and elevated atmosphere. The staff is highly professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef's creations, particularly the "minestra di pasta, pesci di scoglio e pesto rosso," a Neapolitan specialty recommended to us. The "gambero viola, mandorla e aglio orsino" and the seabass were also exceptional. With the house aperitifs and the sour dessert to cleanse the palate, the meal was more than satisfying. I would recommend coming with an empty stomach, as we ended up enjoying around 9-10 courses, even though only 7 were included in the menu. Thank you once again for this amazing experience. We will gladly return.

The waiters were amazing and helped as much as possible. But honestly the food was not at a satisfactory level for my taste and did not justify the price in any way. Too many flavors in the dishes, we ate in much better restaurants in Bologna that cost much less. The tea at the end of the meal that was kindly offered to us and cost 16 euros was very annoying. I would not return and I would not recommend. the only advantage was that the staff was charming and attentive.

Location was fine. Breakfast was good. Our hotel room however was sub standard for the price that charged. The room was dimly lit, the bathroom was also poorly lit with one tiny light above the sink in which you could barely see to brush your teeth or apply makeup. There was no complimentary anything in the bathrooms and you would be charged if you were in need of shampoo or lotion. There was no counter space or places to hang your towels, the shower was dangerously slippery and small. Overall, not very welcoming at all to hotel guest. Other 4 and 5 star hotels we stayed at in Italy were great and very welcoming.

Traditional Italian food served with no BS. Staff are friendly in an organised chaos situation. They are tentative but also all over the place. Chatting with regulars and others with a get things done vibe. The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. Be sure to book in advance if you want to eat here as it seems to be always full. We were lucky enough to get a table without one but would definitely advise to make a reservation beforehand. Normal menu selection of food items and fair pricing. Overall would recommend. Staff good, food good, restaurant good 👍🏼

I really enjoyed my meal here. The staff is friendly and fun, and the food is excellent. It’s classic Bolognese cooking - high-quality local ingredients, simple, humble, and full of flavor. I had a great time bantering with the waiter, and the food arrived quickly without ever feeling rushed.

Very low then expectation. Just easy pasta, they put a few fungis on it. Breads are awfull. İ think they cooked bread a few weeks ago. Kust one thing is nice, service.. they were so kind and fast

Had dinner here on a friend’s recommendation. Food was excellent. I enjoyed the primi dishes most. We also had a few of the daily specials e.g white truffle on egg which had a lovely delicate flavor. The restaurant also had a great selection of wines. Service was warm and friendly. The staff were young but were very knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. They added that very welcoming touch to dining at Bertozzi.

Totally FUN night! I consider myself a gnocchi snob and without a doubt theirs is above top notch. So so enjoyed every aspect of this adventure, service and culinary evening.
