Bunk'Art 2 is a unique museum located inside a preserved Communist-era nuclear bunker in Albania. The museum offers an insight into the history of the Albanian Ministry of Internal Affairs from 1912 to 1991, including the activities of the secret police and propaganda during that time. Visitors can explore the underground bunker and learn about the victims of the regime.
Absoloute treat! Visiting the Bunk’Art 2 Museum in Tirana was a powerful and unforgettable experience. Stepping inside the former nuclear bunker, I immediately felt the weight of history and the unique atmosphere of the underground tunnels. The exhibits were thoughtfully curated, blending multimedia displays, artifacts, and stories that brought Albania’s past to life in a very moving way. I especially found the sections on surveillance, dictatorship, and the resilience of the Albanian people both eye-opening and impactful. The museum was easy to explore, well-organized, and full of details that made me reflect deeply on the country’s history. Bunk’Art 2 was more than just a museum—it was an emotional journey and one of the highlights of my visit to Tirana.
Mohsin R — Google review
The museum is quite nice for the experience of going to a bunker. There’s a lot of history background in the place, so you can learn a lot about Albania’s past. However I would expect a bit more of specific explanations on the bunker story, which is not really covered by the banners inside the museum.
Ana T — Google review
Interesting and unique place, but too crowded for the narrow corridors and small rooms. I was expecting more about the history and purpose of the bunkers, but most of the focus was on the police. I understand the intent, but a broader historical context would have been nice. Also, the audio guide only works through a separate app, which isn’t very practical.
Catarina S — Google review
Bunk’Art hits you with a kind of quiet shock. You step in expecting a museum, and instead you enter a cold underground world built for fear and survival. The mix of history, concrete tunnels, sound effects, and real stories from Albania’s past makes it heavy but unforgettable. It’s one of the few places that shows, without pretending, what a dictatorship feels like from the inside. Short visit, strong impact.
Nomad7 — Google review
Absolutely worth a visit. Bunk'Art 2 is located in the centre of Tirana, right by Skanderberg Square. We queued to buy tickets for approximately 15minutes and it was very busy throughout the tour. At times it felt cramped. Really informative and very interesting.
Caroline N — Google review
Is a very interesting part of Albanian history. It’s basically underground. You can get a lot of info about their history. There is a ticket counter. You need a ticket to take the tour underground.
Radz K — Google review
This was an amazing place to visit to learn more about the history of Albania. You will ultimately end up spending about 2 hours to go through all of the museum. It's very interesting to learn about the country, communism, and the change over the past century. Definitely come visit!
Aziz K — Google review
This place is super cool, though a bit dark, sad. But it’s super nice historic place. It’s definitely worth the price, which is around 10€ per person. It’s not great for claustrophobic people, as it gets crowded inside. Probably you can spend around 1 hour in here.

Tirana Castle, located in the historic center of Tirana, is a medieval fortress with an Ottoman-era wall that now houses handicraft stores, eateries, art galleries, and a hotel. The castle represents a field fortification with a rectangular plan and is thought to belong to the fortifications built by Emperor Justinian in the 4th-6th century.
Tirana Castle is a lovely and authentic spot with a unique atmosphere. The restoration work has been done beautifully, blending history with modern touches. A great place to walk around, enjoy the cafés, and feel the city’s character. 🏰🌿☕
IsKoc ( — Google review
Tirana Castle is one of those hidden gems right in the heart of the city — full of charm, history, and a modern twist. It’s not your typical medieval fortress; today, it’s been transformed into a lively pedestrian space with cafés, galleries, local shops, and restaurants, all set within its old stone walls. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re nearby and in need of a clean, modern bathroom — good news: there are public ones right there!
Melina C — Google review
Ah well… it says it’s a castle, but there is nothing left of a castle. It’s just an area with some restaurants and shops - that’s it. It’s a nice place to spend the evening. But if you’re going there thinking you’re going to see some history or an actual castle, then you’ll be disappointed. Just go with the right expectations - think trendy courtyard rather than ancient fortress.
Highway V — Google review
There is almost nothing left of the original castle, just a few walls, so calling it a castle feels a bit misleading. Today it's more of a small tourist spot with cafes, shops, and restaurants built inside the remains. While the area can be nice for a short walk or to grab a drink, if you expect an actual historic castle, you may leave underwhelmed. The castle was first built in the Byzantine era and later expanded by the Ottomans.
Maciej K — Google review
Bit of a tourist trap. But if you like that so of thing lots of restaurants and overpriced souvenirs. We had a very grumpy lady that sold my son a 3 euro bottle opener , and you would have thought we had asked for her wisdom tooth. All other Albanians we have met are awesome.
Banksie — Google review
Tirana Castle is a very well-thought-out place. I absolutely loved the idea of having several small restaurants in one area, each with its own unique concept and atmosphere. Every spot was full, and the service was friendly and welcoming. You can find everything from Japanese and Turkish cuisine to modern fusion dishes. We visited Lezet — my review of that restaurant is below. 👇🏻 I’m truly impressed!
Nazgul U — Google review
Not a castle so don’t go there expecting to see one, and only small part of it survives. Instead the “castle” is a place to buy trashy souvenirs and eat/ drink in one of the many bars and restaurants. Expensive
Sam — Google review
So nice square. The only one thing which is confusing it's there are no castle! It's just touristic square with many small souvenir shops and coffee shops whith restaurants. So if u expecting to see a real castle- its ll not happen. Autentic turístic small street, with coffee shops and restaurants and souvenir shops. Definitely Recommend to visit.

Shopping mall
Shopping
Toptani is a bustling shopping destination in Tirana, Albania, featuring high-end retailers, restaurants, and underground parking. The pedestrianized Rruga Murat Toptani offers a charming promenade with street performers and ice cream vendors, reflecting the area's historical significance tied to the influential Toptani Family. Additionally, Toptani Castle stands as a testament to the family's legacy and houses various restaurants and artisanal shops.
Great shopping mall in the centre of Tirana. Shopping mall is well maintained. There are many shops from groceries to clothes. Few restaurants and kids club! Nice architecture and good location especially when you think about the size and population of this small city. Although it is little bit over priced, you can do shopping very easily!
Mothusi — Google review
Toptani Shopping Center is a modern, bustling mall that feels like a real hub of activity right in the heart of Tirana. The building itself is quite striking—a contemporary structure with a lot of glass and a sleek design that stands out against some of the more traditional architecture of the city. Stepping inside, you're immediately greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of a busy shopping center: the chatter of people, the music from the stores, and the enticing displays of merchandise. You'll find a wide variety of stores catering to different needs and tastes, from well-known international brands to local Albanian shops, offering everything from fashion and electronics to books and household goods. The food court is also a popular spot, offering a range of cuisines from fast food to more substantial meals, making it a convenient place to refuel during a shopping trip or just grab a quick bite. There are also comfortable areas with seating where you can take a break and people-watch. It’s definitely a popular gathering place for locals, especially younger people, and it can get quite crowded, particularly on weekends and in the evenings. While it doesn't offer any specific historical or cultural significance that you absolutely must see as a tourist, Toptani Shopping Center serves as an incredibly functional and convenient modern space. It's the perfect spot if you're looking to escape the heat or the rain, need to do some shopping, want a taste of familiar brands, or are simply curious to see a contemporary aspect of life in Tirana. It’s a standard, well-maintained mall that provides a little piece of modern urban life within the city.
Shanit R — Google review
If you are seeking a shopping experience for designer clothing and accessories, this shopping centre is an ideal destination. While the store offers a limited selection of Albanian-made products, the majority of their offerings are imported and international. I personally purchased a few items from Hugo Boss, DKNY, and Armani. However, it is important to note that the cost of my designer shopping exceeded the prices of comparable shops in London.
Z ( — Google review
Really lovely Mall, very clean and well laid out. Food court on the top floor has a decent selection of food & drink plus a children’s play area and arcade. There’s a decent sized supermarket on the lower floor. Nice place.
Steven A — Google review
Not a big mall but has what you need and the way it is built makes it easier to see all in no time. Family friendly and parking easily available on site, also it is in the middle of the city so every other sites to see i.e. the mosque or the square are all 5-10min walk away
Ali R — Google review
A 6 multi level shopping mall plus 4 level underground for parking. Very close to the downtown of Tirana. In level 6, the food court, ice cream shops and play area for kids. In level 1, you can find some cafes like Bar Toptani. Great place. Be prepared to spend few hours.
Abu F — Google review
We from The Netherlands, visited the Mall. Prices are reasonable for EU citizens. Airconditioning working well On the topfloor we ate a Whopper at Burger King which was OK. The vanilleshake was much to sweat :-( You have a nice view on the mosque and over the city so you need not visit the clock tower for the city view. This Mall is top!
Martin D — Google review
The mall is really nice and has almost everything you could need — great variety of shops and a pleasant atmosphere. However, it’s a big downside that most of the restaurants are located on the same floor as the children’s play area. It gets extremely noisy, which makes it hard to enjoy your meal. Overall, a good mall but definitely too loud in the dining area. 😕🍽️🔊

Museums
The House of Leaves Museum, also known as the Museum of Secret Surveillance, is a significant historical site in Tirana. Housed in a former bunker and spy headquarters used by the communist government, it offers a chilling glimpse into Albania's tumultuous past. The museum showcases thousands of files and espionage devices from the period of communism, shedding light on the oppressive regime's surveillance and persecution of its people. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing the regime's connections with other countries and its methods of censorship and oppression.
Growing up, Tirana and Albania were so remote and inaccessible that I couldn’t imagine actually visiting the city or country. Having arrived in Tirana our (2 adults- 3 teenagers) first visit was to the House of Leaves - a really excellent introduction to the regime and recent history - well laid out and located on the actual site of much of the activities (Sigurimi) around monitoring people and the paranoia of the regime - a personal insight was the development of ever more ‘subtle’ ways of spying on people - nowadays the state or other ‘institutions’ don’t need to be so surreptitious - the information is volunteered - now where did I leave my car keys Alexa? How is your voice assistant today? 👀👂🏻😮 - have we given up our privacy? BTW my 3 kids were enthralled and got a sense of the history through the exhibits and building - it was a really good introduction to the city and country - excellent experience
Pat O — Google review
Authentic, sobering, well curated with English translations. Plan to spend 1 to 2 hours exploring the site and absorbing the information. You will gain a deeper understanding of the depth and breadth of the Communist regime's control on the Albanian people. It is prohibited to take photos inside the building.
Carol D — Google review
House of Leaves is an incredibly interesting and moving place in the heart of Tirana. The exhibitions are very well prepared and provide a deeper understanding of Albania’s difficult history under the communist regime. The building itself has an extraordinary atmosphere, and the materials and displays make a strong impression and encourage reflection. This museum is not an easy, “light” tourist attraction, but it is absolutely worth visiting to gain a deeper insight into the country’s past and to appreciate its path to freedom.
Robert G — Google review
Very interesting museum. It was the head quarters of the Sigurimi (the secret police under the communist dictatorship). Explains how the they used surveillance on Albanians and foreigners. Lots of historical documents and artifacts. Great for history buffs.
Oliver L — Google review
Very informative Museum of Secret Surveillance . Located in the building that served as the Sigurimi (which in Albanian means "Security"), was the state security, intelligence and secret police service of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.headquarters during the communist era.
Eddy S — Google review
A grim reminder of what life was like under the communist regime. This building was home to the secret service and apart from learning about how they spied on individuals using "bugs" monitoring telephone calls etc, you can hear testimonies from some of those who survived torture by the Sigurimi. A wall has the names of thousands of local people who were executed during this period of oppression.
Miles M — Google review
Very interesting museum, it shows the spying techniques used during the columnist era. The entrance ticket is 700 leke (~€7), and you can pay only with cash. There is a bunker in the garden outside the museum. Not so many people visit it, even though you can explore it freely, and I think it is a nice addition to the experience. It is definitely worth visiting.
Juan H — Google review
Wonderfully instructive museum on Hoxha's Sigurimi. Offers adequate historical context on the regime of terror in the country. Everything is translated into English, down to the smallest signs! You won't be able to miss how much foreign equipment was used to spy and maintain its ultra-isolationist regime.

In the heart of the city center, you'll find the Et'hem Bej Mosque, an 18th-century historical place of worship that stands out for its colorful frescoes. This mosque is a significant site in Albania's history as it miraculously survived destruction during the communist era due to its intricate nature motifs and murals, which were valued for their cultural and artistic significance.
The Et’hem Bey Mosque in Tirana was one of the most beautiful and memorable places I visited. Tucked away in the heart of Skanderbeg Square, its elegant design and peaceful atmosphere immediately stood out against the bustle of the city. The mosque’s history and cultural significance made it feel like a true gem in the capital. Inside, I was amazed by the delicate frescoes and intricate decorations, each detail telling a story and adding to the spiritual charm of the place. Despite being small, the mosque carried a serene and timeless presence that left a lasting impression on me. Visiting the Et’hem Bey Mosque was both inspiring and uplifting—a highlight of my time in Tirana.
Mohsin R — Google review
Small but beautiful Mosque completed in 1821. It was closed during the communist period but saw a rebirth of religious freedom in 1991. Restoration work was completed in 2018. It's worth visiting for its interior mural paintings and frescoes. You are encouraged to give a donation, I think €1 is quite acceptable.

Et'hem Bey Mosque – A Peaceful and Historic Landmark A beautiful mosque located right in the center of Tirana at Skanderbeg Square. It’s one of the city’s oldest and most important historical buildings, built in the late 18th century during the Ottoman period. The mosque is small but full of charm. Its interior walls are decorated with unique and colorful frescoes, which are rare for Islamic architecture. It’s quiet and peaceful inside, offering a calm break from the busy city outside. Visitors are welcome outside of prayer times, and there is no entrance fee. It’s a great place to learn a bit about Albania’s past and see a piece of its cultural and religious heritage. Definitely worth a short stop during your visit to Tirana!
Mahmut I — Google review
A true jewel of Tirana and an absolutely essential stop for anyone interested in history and architecture. This small, elegant mosque stands out in the heart of Skanderbeg Square, with its delicate and beautiful frescoes that are a rare sight in Islamic art. The paintings of trees, waterfalls, and bridges are a unique and stunning detail that makes this place truly special. The mosque has a powerful history, serving as a symbol of religious freedom during the fall of communism in Albania. It's a peaceful and spiritual place that invites contemplation, and its blend of Ottoman and local design elements is a testament to the country's rich cultural tapestry. The craftsmanship is breathtaking, and the serene atmosphere makes it a perfect escape from the bustling city. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.
Walter B — Google review
Small yet profoundly beautiful, the Et’hem Bej Mosque stands as one of Tirana’s most graceful architectural treasures. Completed in 1821, it embodies the delicate harmony of Ottoman artistry and Albanian devotion. Closed for decades during the communist period, the mosque’s reopening in 1991 marked not only a restoration of a historic monument but also the symbolic rebirth of religious freedom in Albania. Its walls and domes are adorned with remarkable frescoes and mural paintings, depicting natural landscapes, trees, and waterfalls—rare subjects in Islamic art—that make this intimate sanctuary truly special. Visitors are welcome to enter respectfully, removing their shoes before entry. There is a simple system to store them, though it could benefit from some improvement. A small donation (€1 is perfectly appropriate) is encouraged, and it helps preserve this serene and historically significant space.

A truly beautiful mosque full of history and spiritual atmosphere. You can go inside to pray or simply enjoy the peaceful setting. They even offer free water to visitors, which is a kind and thoughtful gesture. A wonderful place to visit and reflect. 🌿🕌🙏
IsKoc ( — Google review
Lucky to have it inctacted and undemolished - considering Enver Xodha's temple demolitions. Looks even more beautiful at night. However, visiting inside of the mosque isn't allowed at late night. If you like painted ornaments of this mosque, you might consider visiting painted / colorful mosque in Tetovo, as well.
Canbu — Google review
Very small Mosque. I'll take you maybe 10 to 15 minutes. It's great to be able to see a little bit of history. The staff were very helpful as we had my visually impaired father-in-law with us and they were helpful. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the staff member was suggesting how much to donate or at least that's how I interpreted it. Not a big fan of that. Usually when we go to visit churches, mosques, or other religious historic places of worship we donate generously.

Ceren Ismet Shehu is a stylish restaurant in the trendy Blloku neighborhood, offering a modern take on traditional Albanian cuisine. The menu features creative dishes that highlight the best of Albanian ingredients with international influences. The welcoming space and round tables create an interesting culinary experience, while the use of local produce adds to the authenticity of the dining experience.
This was recommended by a local. The menu is set with a fixed price and a choice of lamb or beef at the end. Everything was fresh and flavorful. We each had a glass of their homemade wine which was amazing! If you want to try an assortment of authentic Albanian dishes, this is the place.

Five stars for these guys no need to overthink it. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and bursting with flavor. Everything we ordered was top quality and seriously good value for money. On top of that, the service was amazing—friendly, fast, and made us feel truly welcome. Definitely coming back again!

A famous restaurant in the old town. It has both indoor and outdoor tables. The set menu costs around €24 per person and includes: • Salad • Cheese • Chicken kebab • Falafel • Appetizers • Beef ribs or lamb The service is excellent, although the restaurant is always crowded. The food is delicious and tasty, and I liked the ribs more than the lamb 🙂 I recommend this restaurant. Very good food and a nice atmosphere.

A refined and memorable gastronomic experience in Tirana. We chose the tasting menu, which offers a journey through traditional Albanian cuisine. The flavours are genuine and balanced, with each dish revealing the freshness of local ingredients and careful preparation that respects them. The staff was efficient, attentive and well-coordinated — discreetly elevating the entire experience. The setting immerses you in Albanian heritage, with traditional costumes displayed on the walls, warm lighting, and the subtle scent of wood that enhances the sense of place. A must-visit for those seeking authenticity with a touch of sophistication.

The staff were incredibly kind and polite. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with a warm cultural touch. I asked the waiter about the name “Cemile,” thinking it might be a Turkish name, and he explained how many Albanian names have Ottoman and Muslim origins. That little conversation made the place feel even more welcoming. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I even tried to take a photo before eating, but the waiter kindly warned me that more dishes were coming and the table wouldn’t be enough. I truly enjoyed my time here and definitely recommend it.

I highly recommend trying their homemade pasta dishes; they were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive, adding to the overall dining experience. One standout dish for me was the seafood risotto - it was a true culinary delight! The combination of fresh shrimps and creamy risotto was simply divine. To top it off, the dessert selection was equally delightful, Pistachio Ice Cream is the best I recommend. The food was so amazing we came back the following day. They cater for gluten free people and the food was fresh and consistent on both days. My partner on the first night had the honey glazed duck breast, and I had the asparagus risotto (without the crispy cod fish) and the second night we both shared the crispy cod fish, and he had crispy pork belly and they made me gluten free spaghetti carbonara. The cocktails were also top tier, the passion fruit martini was so smooth and tasty. Would highly recommend, the staff where very helpful and friendly, apologies if I misspell your name but Amarillo was our waiter and he recognised us from the night before.

Fine dining restaurant
The Crown Rooftop & Dining is a stunning restaurant located on the 4th floor of a historic building in Tirana. It offers breathtaking views and a delightful dining experience. Guests can savor delicious meals accompanied by specially selected music genres such as jazz, Latin, or classical, adding to the memorable ambiance. The attentive service and luxurious atmosphere make visitors feel truly pampered. The degustation menu is highly praised for its excellence, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise.
One of the best rooftops in Tirana, a very chic and classy place which takes your dining experience in another level. First thing you should know, there's a dress code for every meal. I recommend to book in advance because in the weekends the place is full. We decided to try the tasting menu, and it was unforgettable. But you should know before that it's going to take you 4 hours or more. Precious plates, everything was explained in details, they asked before serving for possible allergies (a thing that a lot of restaurants forgot to ask). The tasting menu consists to present a mix of the menu gems, every gem was highly worth. They make even a plate of three pieces of cheese and jam look like you're eating a rare gold. This is the power of simplicity and chef's great mindset. Staff is very nice and helpful, they are there to take care of every little detail. The Crown is not only a restaurant, it is an experience. ✨️

Absolutely amazing!! The service is on the very high level! The food is just perfect. We’ve ordered the degustation menu paired with wine. The selection of wine is great! It was my husband’s birthday and in the end they’ve prepared special serving of the dessert for him, it was sooo nice ☺️Atmosphere and the decor is very nice. And again, the service, special big thank to the guy who was serving us, he is not only a high professional but also a very open and cheerful person who’s love and dedication to work is noticeable from the first moments.

We decided to celebrate my sister’s birthday at The Crown and we were truly blown away by everything. Honestly, we could not find a single thing we didn’t enjoy. From the cleanliness (which I always notice!) to the food, the service, and the atmosphere everything was perfect. If I could rate the service 12/10, I would. Never in my life have I experienced better service. One detail that really stood out was how my glass was always filled with water without me ever having to ask , that’s what great service looks like. The staff were simply wonderful, and I can’t thank them enough for making my sister’s birthday so special. In my free time, I actually have a hobby of visiting restaurants , i try at least 30 each year, often in different countries. I’ve been to some of the most famous restaurants in the world, and the service can NOT be compared with Crown . This place has the best staff and service I have ever experienced. Thank you very much for giving us such a memorable celebration. I can’t wait to come back and I definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Went for a night out here for cocktails and a little snack at the rooftop. We had made our reservation some hours before and the staff were really polite and kind while choosing a table for us. The place offers a great view of the Plaza Hotel , and Toptani shopping center , also the atmosphere with soft classic music really makes the place a lot more enjoyable. As for the food , we ordered sushi , which in my preference, the rice should’ve been cooked a bit more, because it was a bit strong, overall the food was delicious. Cocktails were good too , even though they’re a bit pricey. Overall it is a really nice place to go on a date or have cocktails with your friends . I would go back again and enjoy other different foods there ✨

I just had an extraordinary dining experience at The Crown Restaurant in Tirana. The 8-course meal was nothing short of a masterpiece—each dish beautifully crafted, artistically presented, and bursting with incredible flavors. It was a true celebration of culinary creativity and skill. Our waiter, Hatmier, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and professional, making the entire experience even more special. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for such a memorable meal. If you're looking for a place where every course is a work of art and the service is top-notch, I highly recommend The Crown. An unforgettable experience that I can't wait to repeat!

I was there for a friends birthday party the place was decorated all pretty, and everything from the waiter to the food was amazing , we had the brunch meny and it was delicious to the point i couldnt eat all of it, the drinks were also very good and for all of those who want to bring their children there was alchol free options of the coctails alongside the normal non-hard drinks. The only thing i would say kind of ruined it was that the weather was unstable and when the sun was out the umbrellas didnt helf neither fid they help when it started to rain. But again thats not something that lessened my experince.

A Wonderful Experience at Crown Boutique Hotel!! I’ve visited Crown Boutique Hotel twice—once for lunch and once for dinner—and both times were a delight. The atmosphere was perfect, especially in the evening on the rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful views and a calm, elegant vibe. The service was consistently professional and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The restaurant offers international cuisine with a seasonal menu focused on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each dish we tried was beautifully presented and well-balanced in flavor—from the appetizers to the mains and desserts. The degustation menu stood out for its creativity and variety, giving us a taste of the chef’s thoughtful approach to combining flavors and textures. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend booking in advance for dinner. I’m already looking forward to going back!

I almost never write restaurant reviews. I know this is people’s livelihood and I respect how hard they work. But I dine at gourmet restaurants constantly and I have never walked away this disappointed. The décor is pleasant, credit where it’s due. We ordered the tasting menu at 8000 per person. The first tartare was acceptable. Everything after that was bland, lifeless and in parts almost inedible. It felt as if the food was created for photographs rather than for taste. The plates looked beautiful. We left hungry. The low point was a so-called course of three hard cheeses simply dropped next to one another. Why call that a dish? Where is the culinary vision? The servers were polite but we asked more than five times to speed things up because we were rushing for a flight. Still, there were thirty minute gaps between plates. We sat there for over three hours that felt like slow punishment. I dislike writing this because I know how much effort must go into running a restaurant. But I also do not want others to go through what we did. If your money and your time matter, eat somewhere else. It is a shame, because effort is clearly being made. But this is not hospitality and it is not culinary excellence.

Chakra India Fusion is a charming restaurant located in the heart of Tirana, Albania. It offers a unique blend of Indian and European cuisine with a modern twist, featuring traditional Indian dishes such as curries and tandoori alongside a selection of European fare. Situated near Tirana's largest cineplex, the restaurant provides an excellent dining option for locals and visitors alike. While it may be slightly hidden next to the cinema, the atmosphere is delightful and peaceful during midday.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Chakra Indian Fusion Restaurant! The food was absolutely fantastic, fried rice was great. The mushroom curry had some of the best flavors I’ve ever tasted, perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. The ambiance was nice and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing meal. The staff were great - very attentive and knowledgeable. They suggested spice level 2 for me, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect for my taste. Overall, an amazing experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended!

By far the best place I visited in Tirana, Located right near the Mall, ambience was great and you could clearly tell this was Albania Fine dining, the place only takes cash, Food was expensive to what you normally find and portions are not as big as usual but that is expected in fine dining, two of us ate for just under 6000 LEK, food is Halal but they do sell alcoholic drinks. Would definetly visit again for the experience, highly recommended, ignore the other 1 star reviews that the place was not great because this was truly a great dining experience.
Muhit A — Google review
I was a bit disappointed with the food, as it didn’t fully capture the authentic Indian flavors I was expecting. The dishes felt a little underwhelming in taste and quality compared to other Indian places I’ve tried. The service was fine, but nothing exceptional. One thing worth mentioning is that the service charge had to be paid separately, which wasn’t clearly explained in advance. The restaurant has a very calm and quiet atmosphere, making it a nice spot if you’re looking for a peaceful dining experience.
Sara D — Google review
Me and my husband recently dined at this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The food was amazing authentic Indian taste. The ambience was really cozy and perfect for a relaxing evening. The biggest problem was the service. Unfortunately, the staff were quite rude. which really detracted from the overall experience. And main thing they are not accepting card payments which not fair for tourists. Tourists might not have a lot of local currency as we spend are most of cash on hotels.
Himani — Google review
Offers a beautifully styled, one-of-a-kind dining experience in Tirana. For those craving Indian or fusion cuisine, especially vegans the menu is welcome and offers some interesting flavors in a stylish environment. When the service is on point, the experience can truly stand out. If you’re in the mood for an atmospheric dining experience and you don’t mind some unpredictability, it’s worth a visit, especially for special menus or vegan selections. But if authenticity and consistency are your main priorities, you may want to manage expectations or even consider exploring other options (though admittedly, choices are limited when it comes to Indian cuisine in Tirana).

I had a great experience here! The food was very tasty, and everything was full of flavor. The service was impressively fast, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. On top of that, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. Highly recommend!

Chakra Indian Fusion was hands down my favorite vegan meal in Tirana. Aron took great care of me and made sure everything was perfect. I had the vegetable samosa, vegetable biryani, and roti without butter, all of it was absolutely delicious and very filling. Highly recommend if you’re looking for flavorful Indian food with attentive service.

The Pyramid of Tirana, originally known as the Enver Hoxha Museum, is a distinctive pyramidal structure in the city. It was built in 1988 to honor Enver Hoxha, the former leader of Communist Albania. Designed by Hoxha's daughter and her husband, it was intended to be a museum showcasing his legacy. However, after his death, it was repurposed as a conference center.
The Pyramid of Tirana was a fascinating and unique place to visit. Its bold and unusual design immediately caught my eye, standing out as one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks. Walking around it, I could sense the layers of history it carries—from its origins as a museum to its role as a cultural and social hub today. I enjoyed exploring the area and seeing how locals and visitors alike interacted with the space, giving it a lively and creative atmosphere. The Pyramid’s blend of history, symbolism, and modern use made it much more than just a building—it was a thought-provoking highlight of my time in Tirana.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Pyramid of Tirana, and it was an interesting experience. The architectural design is unique and striking, creating a distinctive landmark in the city. The historical significance of the building is intriguing, offering insights into Albania's past. The surrounding area is vibrant, with bustling streets and lively atmosphere. Overall, the Pyramid of Tirana is worth a visit for those interested in architecture and history.

We visited the Pyramid of Tirana on a sunny day, and it was really hot! The structure has around 100 steps to climb to the top, which gives you a panoramic view of the city — although much of it is now covered by the surrounding tall buildings. The climb itself is a bit steep but manageable. It’s an interesting landmark with a unique design and some historical value, but honestly, there’s not much to see once you reach the top. You can visit if you’re nearby or curious, but it’s not something you’d miss out on if you skip it. To cool off we had a nice passionfruit lemonade at Mon Cheri.
Yogesh T — Google review
It’s a truly beautiful spot with a stunning view of the surroundings. From up there you can see forests, meadows, and distant hills stretching all the way to the horizon. On a clear day the scenery seems to go on forever, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for taking a break and just soaking it all in.

We visited this place in the evening. The interior was already closed, but the surroundings were beautiful. Beautiful architecture of the adjacent "blocks" and the park. From the top of the pyramid there was a wonderful view in every direction. It is a free lookout tower. I definitely recommend visiting.

For some reason, everyone takes photos near the entrance, but from there you can’t see its scale or the amazing stair-like sides. Inside, it’s now a bright shopping center (we didn’t go in), but from the top, there’s a beautiful view over the city. Highly recommend. We like this place.

One of the attractions in Tirana is the pyramid which an almost 1 mile distance from city centre. Go there at night because you will be able to see the city lights easily. There is perfect breeze which will help you cool off. There is a watch point on the top of pyramid. In the centre there is a glass covered area which lets you see directly down. The pyramid has almost 100 steps so it’s a good climb. It’s fun activity to do in Tirana

Tanners' Bridge is a restored 18th-century stone bridge in Tirana, offering a glimpse into the city's Ottoman history. Originally part of the Saint George Road connecting Tirana with the eastern highlands, it served as the main route for farmers bringing their livestock to the butchery and leatherworking district.
Wonderful old bridge from the Ottoman era. Well worth a walk over and around. Surprising that they let you walk over such a precious monument that has no safety barriers!
David P — Google review
It is a bridge from the Ottoman period that is still standing and actively used by the people in their daily life. However, it should be taken care of as soon as possible, it is insufficient in terms of maintenance. Its surroundings are very dirty. The surroundings of such a work should not be so dirty and neglected.
Mahmut A — Google review
The Tanners' Bridge is an 18th-century Ottoman period stone footbridge located in Tirana, Albania. The area is so crowded with many shops, barber, noter and others. Few minutes to take photos near the historical bridge is enough. In the 1990s, the bridge was restored for use by pedestrians.
Abu F — Google review
Tanner's Bridge (Ura e Tabakëve) is a small, unused Ottoman-era stone bridge tucked away near Tirana's busy Zogu I Boulevard. Built in the 18th century for tanners crossing the Lana River, it's easy to miss today. While it's a genuine piece of the city's history, its size and lack of current purpose mean it's really just a minor historical footnote unless you're specifically looking for it.
Sakina D — Google review
Beautiful bridge, you can walk through it. Around you also can find some restaurants and bars.
AM — Google review
This ancient bridge is a marvel of historical architecture, standing the test of time with its timeless beauty and craftsmanship. Walking across its weathered stones, you can almost feel the centuries of history that have unfolded here. The surrounding scenery adds to the charm, making it a picturesque spot for photos and contemplation. The bridge’s enduring presence serves as a reminder of the engineering ingenuity of the past. It’s a must-see for history enthusiasts and anyone appreciating the fusion of nature and heritage. Highly recommended!
Eagle L — Google review
As a visitor to the vibrant city of Tirana, exploring its rich heritage can be a profoundly enriching experience, especially when it leads to historical gems like the Tanners' Bridge. An emblem of the Ottoman period, this 18th-century stone footbridge offers not just a passage over the former Lanë stream but also a window into the past urban life of Tirana. ~~> Historical Significance and Architecture: The Tanners' Bridge, or Ura e Tabakëve, is an exemplary piece of Ottoman engineering. With dimensions of 8 metres in length, 2.5 metres in width, and 3.5 metres in height, it stands as a modest yet significant structure. The bridge is built of stone, consisting of a main arch complemented by two side arches, each 1 metre thick. This architectural setup not only ensures stability but also enhances the aesthetic appeal with its harmonious proportions and cobblestone paving. Historically, the bridge was a crucial part of the Saint George Road, linking Tirana to the eastern highlands. This route was essential for transporting livestock and produce into the city, directly supporting the economic and social life of the area. The proximity to the Tanners’ Mosque and its location amid the butcher shops and leather workers add layers of socio-economic relevance to its history. ~~> Cultural Importance: The Tanners' Bridge is heralded by the municipality of Tirana as one of the city's most important cultural heritage monuments. It serves as a testament to Tirana’s urban development during the 18th century and showcases the fine bridge construction techniques of that era. Its restoration in the 1990s revitalised the bridge, integrating it into the fabric of Tirana’s modern centre and making it accessible for pedestrians, thus preserving its legacy. ~~> Visitor Experience: Despite its historical and architectural significance, the experience of visiting the Tanners' Bridge can be somewhat obscured by inadequate signage and informational displays. The existing information board is unreadable, making it challenging for tourists to grasp the bridge's rich history and significance fully. Without specific markings or clear historical context provided at the site, many might overlook this architectural relic. ~~> Safety: While the Tanners' Bridge has been beautifully restored to its former glory, visitors should exercise caution due to some safety concerns. The stone surface of the bridge can become quite slippery, especially in wet conditions. Additionally, the lack of handrails or walls along the edges poses a risk of falling. It is particularly important to be vigilant when accompanied by children, ensuring they stay safe while crossing this historic yet potentially hazardous bridge. ~~> Conclusion: The Tanners' Bridge is a crucial piece of Tirana's heritage that deserves more than a cursory glance. It embodies the city's historical journey from a strategic route for trade and commerce to its current status as a preserved cultural monument. Today, the Tanners' Bridge stands as a functional and historic pathway in the heart of Tirana. Used by both locals and tourists, this centuries-old structure serves its original purpose as a pedestrian bridge. As people cross this venerable bridge, many remain unaware of its rich historical significance, simply appreciating it as part of their daily route or as a charming feature in their sightseeing tour. This continuous usage highlights not only the bridge’s resilience and enduring construction but also its seamless integration into the contemporary urban landscape of Tirana. Visitors interested in the layers of history embedded within cityscapes will find the Tanners' Bridge a poignant reminder of Tirana's past. However, to enhance the experience, improved informational resources could help bridge the gap between its historical importance and contemporary recognition. Visiting this site offers a unique insight into the Ottoman architectural influence and the historical urban tapestry of Tirana.

Led by knowledgeable and humorous guides, the approximately 2-hour tour covers various monuments, architecture, religious buildings, communist history, and other attractions.
Excellent tour with an amazing guide, thanks a lot Rei! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It was a great tour! Our guide Rei did an amazing job. It was both entertaining & educational which is not limited to monuments of Tirane; it was a great introduction about history and culture of Shqipëria as a whole. Rei answered all of our questions kindly with great patience and full of knowledge. The tour made my short visit to Tiranë unforgettable. Highly recommended, excellent experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tipped the guide and he was very grateful and honest - he said “do you realise the worth of the note you are giving me?… I did. He deserved it. We were really affected by his energy and delivery of this history tour. Such a wonderful introduction to an awesome city. Definitely do this!

Highly recommended for a great insight into this amazing country!

Had a fantastic time with Aurora on the evening tour. She has a fantastic sense of humour, tossing in all sorts of one-liners, puns and anecdotes, kept it energetic and entertaining. It’s not a long walk as she wore the speaker so we stop and listen, and the country is very young so there’s not a lot of stops. Learned so much about Shqiperia (had no idea Albania is just the English name!) in just 3 hours, so it’s very much worth your time.

The restaurant is known for its innovative cuisine that combines international gastronomy with local flavors, offering an extensive menu that includes sushi, seafood, and global dishes. With its warm space featuring a skylight and terrace, Salt provides an elegant setting for enjoying dinner and cocktails.
Food and service absolutely perfect. It’s difficult to get the level of service and consistency of quality of food delivered that is the norm at Salt Tirana. We were in Tirana for 4 nights and ate at salt on 3 evenings ordering different food and drinks each time all were delivered beautifully presented and tasting perfectly balanced flavours. Drinks too are not to be discounted. Salmon, beef, chicken, burger, desserts all amazing. Extra thanks to our waiters on each night were just top notch. The Maitre D was on point each time we visited just exactly what you would expect from someone in her Role. I don’t have pictures of the dessert but that 3 layers of Food bliss was exceptional. (Hit me cake). Thank you for looking after us so well.

What an incredible experience! The sushi was absolutely on point — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The hot plates were nothing short of delicious, and every bite impressed us. The hostesses were warm and welcoming, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. The food is good—just good. Not necessarily excellent nor exceptional. I found my gyozas to be a bit uncooked and underwhelming. The fried eggplant/pepper and scallops were very good. The “Salt” sushi roll I had was just okay, and where the great site of improvement was needed. I most enjoyed the service and the cocktail. Between aesthetics, other reviews, and price, and reputation, I was expecting exceptional and that simply was not the case. For contrast, I found the food preparation and flavors better at the neighboring MUGO but service less robust than Salt.

Arenas & Stadiums
The Air Albania Stadium, also known as Arena Kombetare, is the largest stadium in Albania, boasting a seating capacity of approximately 22,500 spectators. Completed in 2019, this state-of-the-art facility serves as the home ground for the Albanian national football team and has the flexibility to host various sports events. Nestled within Tirana's vibrant cityscape, it stands out with its modern architecture and top-notch amenities.
We noticed this huge building while walking from the park, not knowing at first what it was. Once closer, it looked really massive and impressive. Later we realized it’s a stadium. Its modern architecture really stands out compared to other buildings in Tirana — you simply can’t miss it.
Svetlana M — Google review
The stadium is quite nice and spacious. The atmosphere is amazing, the only issue is the logistics of entering and exiting. The rules are quite unclear of how to properly orient yourself. Other than that the stadium is contemporary and great.
Ardesian B — Google review
New stadium with a tower, more functions and crowdy areas. I worked on the stadium implementation project, we also took students for on-site practice. The view is good in almost all sectors, access with many gates. Only the central frame of the facade has been preserved from the old stadium.

I visited for Albania v Jordan friendly International. I was able to walk up to the stadium 3 days before the match and purchase a ticket . No ID was required and it cost AL 2000 for a Cat 2 ticket. The modern ground is inside an upmarket shopping mall. Once inside there is not much in way of concessions but concourse is in sight of pitch and seating (22,000) was comfortable and close to pitch. Per Albanian culture smoking was not restricted . Despite this I enjoyed my visit and Albania won 4-1

As Albania isn't known for world class football, the stadium is quite small but looks brand new. The colour red dominates and even the fruit juice that I had to order to get a look inside was red.it's impressive but I saw it as a tourist not a sports fan.

Restaurant
Mrizi i Zanave Tirane, also known as The Vineyard of Dreams, is a renowned restaurant in Tirana housed in a charming 19th-century mansion. It offers traditional Albanian cuisine with a modern twist by chef Altin Prenga. The restaurant's slogan 'Eat Locally, Think Globally' reflects its commitment to local ingredients and global flavors.
This is a fantastic spot for traditional Albanian dining right in the heart of Tirana. I’ve known about their more famous countryside location — which also offers beautiful lodging — but this city location brings that same great quality and attention to detail into an urban setting. We visited to celebrate my wife’s birthday (she’s Albanian), so of course, the traditional dishes were a hit. Every dish we ordered was fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious — the quality of ingredients and preparation really stands out here. One thing to note: this is a very quiet and calm restaurant. If you’re looking for lively Albanian music, dancing, or a festive night out, this is not the place. The atmosphere is refined, peaceful, and all about the food and conversation. Perfect for a relaxed, high-quality meal, but definitely not for an energetic night out. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience top-notch Albanian cuisine in a calm, elegant setting.

Everything was simply perfect! Yet the best dinner that we had in Albania! The people were so welcoming and the food was authentic. My boyfriend is Albanian and he reassured me that the food was 100% traditional recipes from all over Albania. We also tried an amazing lamb that I didn’t took photo cause we ate it within minutes 😂. We will definitely come back! Do not recommend in picky eaters only food lovers will appreciate it!

This has to be the best Albanian restaurant in Tirana!! Comfy seating with great service and gets full soon, so there maybe a certain wait time during rush hours. Coming to the food, Tave Dheu 🫡 was irresistible, I burnt my palette a couple of times finding it really hard to be patient!! and the slow cooked melt in mouth lamb chops, definitely make this place the most sought after in the city.
Shubham S — Google review
While searching online for the best places to try authentic Albanian cuisine, I came across “Mrizi i Zanave.” We decided to give it a chance, and even though it’s located right in the city center, the moment we stepped inside, we instantly felt we were somewhere truly special. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful, and beautifully designed with traditional and historical touches. To start, we ordered the restaurant’s signature salad, the mixed traditional plate, and their special homemade sausage, paired with their house wine. Everything was incredibly delicious. The traditional plate allowed us to taste a variety of local pastries and their own cheeses, each one better than the last. Then we ordered the “Brijne viçi” beef dish, which Endri presented with a wonderful and elegant service. Since we are Turkish and love rakı, we talked about it with Endri. He kindly explained how Albanian rakija is different from our rakı, how it’s produced — and he even offered us rakija to taste. It was such a warm, generous gesture, and a great cultural exchange. If I ever return to Tirana, Mrizi i Zanave will absolutely be one of the first places I visit again. Thank you to Mrizi i Zanave for this unforgettable experience, and a special thank you to Endri, who treated us with genuine hospitality and represented his culture so beautifully.

We are from Barcelona, and as you well know, the food there is excellent. We've been here in Tirana for 3 days and have tried many places and different cuisines... We are demanding when it comes to food quality, and all the spots we've visited have been very good... but this one is the best! Everything is spectacular! Thank you very much.

If I could give this 100 stars I would! The food was some of the best I’ve had in my entire life. The staff was the nicest and the food was immaculate. Endri was truly the best!!!! He shows us how to dance and gave us some Albanian vocab lessons. This is a must try (especially for the staff!)

Amazing spot for brunch/breakfast and other occasions! Staff speaks English and the menu offers lots of options (to include vegan). They make freshly squeezed juice and provide a good variety of smoothies. The atmosphere is very cozy. Will definitely be back!

Nice little discovery! The restaurant has a nice vibe, lots of table and music was good. The waiter was really good. We went for breakfast and didn’t get disappointed. We got the vegan toast, croque monsieur and omelette and all was good. Packages for dessert was delicious as well

The place was very clean and had friendly caring staff. The food was quite a good standard and we really enjoyed it. It was busy at front of restaurant and we nearly didn't go in because we thought no room for us but we went in anyway and there's a lot more room at the back and upstairs really enjoyed this place.

Great atmosphere and service! Loved the mango latte (dairy free option), which had actual pieces of mango inside and were delicious. The vegan toast (Avo and bruscetta style toast) was a good portion and fine, just needed more taste. Happy to find some good drinks! There was a smoking section which is a covered outside section - this was kept warm in winter (morning) with heaters - a nice touch! Great that credit card is also accepted.

La Voglia is a great Italian restaurant with delicious food and wonderful service. The atmosphere is atmospheric and inviting, perfect for a date night. The drink menu features an extensive selection of wine, making this the perfect spot for a night out with friends.
A nice restaurant for a dinner date. We had pizza, salad and a traditional Albanian dish. Everything was very good. Even more impressive was the service. Our waiter recommended some dishes (one of which we ordered), was very funny and got our food out to us promptly. The restaurant is a bit more pricey than other restaurants in town but it is located in a very touristic area.

Authentic Italian Bistro in Tirana** Here lies a hidden gem of Italian cuisine that's nothing short of a culinary revelation. This quaint, charming Italian-style bistro is a portal to Italy itself, with an ambience authentic, you'll forget you're in the heart of Athens. From the moment you step in, the melody of lovely Italian music sets the stage for an enchanting dining experience. The food, oh, the food! It's not just a meal; it's a journey for the senses. The highlight of my visit was a spectacular dish, a masterpiece of choice beef filets. But what lingers is the taste - the meat, expertly prepared on the fire with a seed of wood and olive oil, infused with a bouquet of rosemary and a symphony of subtle spices. It's an epicurean delight that ignites the taste buds in sheer perfection. And let's talk about the potatoes, or should I say, the pièce de résistance! These are not your ordinary fries; they're a culinary innovation. Crunchy, perfectly seasoned with a blend of salt, spices, and herbs, and when dipped in the mysterious, delicious sauce - it's a flavour plosion! Pairing this feast with fine Albanian wine was a choice I'd make a thousand times over. To cap off the meal, an Italian espresso so rich and robust, it's the perfect finale to an exquisite dining experience. This restaurant isn't just about food; it's a celebration of Italian culinary art, right in the heart of Tirana. A must-visit for anyone who cherishes the true essence of Italian dining.

Arya G — Google review
It's a nice place and located relatively near the Center Square but the food wasn't that good. Sometimes the chicken on your sandwich is not cooked enough, the red cabbage on the salad tasted weird... I always like the potatoes there tho. The waitress was really nice and did a great job but sometimes when they're busy they only have one waiter so it's gonna take you a long time to get your order or anything you need. Giving 3 stars just to encourage them to get better! Cheers!

OPA - Greek Street Food (Stadiumi) is a popular spot in [location] for authentic Greek street food. The menu features a variety of delicious options such as kebabs, souvlaki, and byrecka. Visitors rave about the fresh and generous portions of food, with highlights including wraps with halloumi and chicken, appetizer platters, and creative frozen drinks.
I’ve come here many times and I really enjoy it . The food is very delicious and it smells like heaven the thing that I like most is that the meat is juicy not dry and very soft . Also even though it is more well known for the food and not the coffee they make a very great coffee and has really good prices especially from being in the Air Albania Stadium. And last but not least the staff that works at the OPA at the stadium they are all great, everywhere they have a nice staff but I want to mention them especially because I am a regular here. They are so kind and always smiling 😊 ❤️. Definitely I would recommend it.

OPA near the stadium has easily become one of my favorite spots! The atmosphere is modern, vibrant, and so welcoming — you can feel the good energy the moment you step in. The service is always fast, organized, and done with a smile, which makes every visit even better. You can really tell that they care about their customers and pay attention to every little detail. The ambience is stylish and comfortable, the music sets the perfect mood, and the overall vibe is just amazing — also a great place for photos! 😍 It’s one of those places that makes you want to come back again and again. Whoever uses wolt with opa especially if you are wolt plus/use their offer meals on weekend watch out it has been the second time i ve had serious heath risks with my food and they refuse to even give a refund this time . First time it was with their first wolt + exclusive offer and i got a big chicken souvlaki filled with ligaments and skin , skin as long as 2 or even 3 cm , i took my refund and thought it would never happen again, months go by and i order again today , all my favourite restorants were closed and i get from opa Arena 2 of their discounted combos . The rolls were fine but the burger has a really off taste like it was expired before it was cooked or cooked multiple times and the veggies werent fresh it tasted really off and the smell still lingers in my mouth right now , the wolt customer service rep said to me and i quote "the restorant has told me that the burger was freshly made and the sauces too and that the salad changes colors from the heat and sauces" While she wrote that i found a very thin piece of hair in the fries , there i had it with theese people , ik what my hair looks like its slightli twisted because its curly and its much thicker than this piece of hair in the image , i will save this for genetic analysis because i cannot stand the fact that there might be people out there experiencing the same treatment as me, people who work even during weekends who dont have time/ people to cook for them and try to fill their bellies.I hope my review has a positive impact and makes things better for the consumer

Parks
Tirana Park, also known as the Grand Park of Tirana, is a vast and tranquil public space in the heart of Albania's bustling capital. This expansive green oasis features a botanical garden, zoo, the Presidential Palace, a church, and a serene lake. It offers recreational facilities, walking paths, and shaded areas for relaxation. The park is popular for picnics and outdoor activities while also serving as a vibrant hub for cultural events.
If you need a break from the busy streets of Tirana, Lake Park is the place to go. It's quiet, green, and peaceful, with ducks and birds by the water and plenty of shady spots to relax away from the sun. Lots of locals come here for walks, jogging, or just to hang out. For me, it felt like the perfect spot to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a bit of nature in the middle of the city. The park was built in the 1950s around an artificial lake that was created by damming a stream - before that, the area was mostly fields and farmland.

Beautiful, quiet park with a lake and many trails. Amenities include toilets, benches and great views of the lake. A wonderful respite from the craziness of the big city. Highly recommended for a great walk.

Absolutely beautiful! I walked some, even rode the train. The park is very big and they keep it pretty clean. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super crowded. I well try again on a weekday to see if it's a bit quieter.

A large park with an artificial lake- perfect for walking, jogging, cycling, or relaxing at a cafe or restaurant. The farther you go from the western and southern areas near the road, the more peaceful and natural it becomes.

Love the park. Great walking and running trails. Loads of cafes. Nice view around the lake. Lacking public toilets.
Elk H — Google review
This park provides a large recreational space within walking distance of the city centre. I did walk a complete circuit of the lake, but the nicest parts of the park are the north and east sections. South & West not much shade and a background of buildings rather than woods, I would avoid. Plenty of benches to sit on in shaded areas. A broad paved path runs around the lake with dense woods on the north & east sides, alot of which is unpenetrable. There are play areas, some sports areas and many Caffès/Restaurants & Kiosks. A background sound of Cicadas accompanies you on your walk.

Really big and beautiful park. Kids have their own playground. Theres outdoor gym, basketball court. You can order fresh smoothies and sit on a bench and enjoy the view 😌

It's not just the eclectic setting that draws people in; Radio Bar is also known for its excellent cocktails, traditional drinks, and a selection of European pub grub.
Love the atmosphere here. The bar is very private, quiet, cozy during the morning hours. The garden area is just so beautifully decorated; feels like home and it's such an imviting place. The coffee and service were great as well. On the other hand, Radio Bar gets as crowded as possible in the evening. The music, laughters, conversations and tasty smell of the food fills the air of the night. Such a great place to be; would definitely recommend.

I had been looking forward to coming to this bar after hearing and reading that it was a very “open” place , and the reviews were so good! However, when coming in the greeting was not what I expected. Though it is a beautiful eclectic place, the welcome didn’t match. I know that it is probably is a beautiful place to visit as many people were coming in. But I didn’t receive that welcome. Though I won’t be going back, I hope that the greetings that they give people moving forward of all backgrounds are taken into consideration.

We came here on Friday night and really love the decoration and atmosphere! The bar has classic drinks as well as local remix drinks. Unfortunately our whisky Saur really missed some power and the service we received by ordering were not so nice. In general, it is a good place to grab a drink with group of friends!

Came on a Sunday evening, early November. Several tables occupied on the enclosed porch, but not busy. Initially quiet, and we said to ourselves that music would be helpful. Not long after music did start. Cocktails were tasty. We would have stayed longer, but the service was lacking, so we went to another bar. Could have been 5 stars if we were not ignored the whole time after getting our first drink.

Definitely a cool vibe. Good music. If you don’t smoke then I suggest sitting inside. Drinks were terrific and worth the price we paid (under 10€ for the Famous Fig). We went at 5pm and quite a few tables reserved. We might’ve hassled the waiter to sit at one of those prime spots as we were not staying all night. We were there 1.5 hours and no one sat at any of the reserved spots. Seemed a little silly. Would return to try more of their extensive cocktail menu.

Restaurant Piceri Era "Blloku" is a popular dining spot in Tirana, known for its traditional Albanian cuisine with a modern touch. The restaurant offers a wide variety of local dishes and delicacies from different regions of Albania, all prepared using traditional cooking methods to bring out the unique flavors of the cuisine. Located in the trendy Blloku area, this restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
We came to Era because we saw good reviews online. Just like how you’re probably doing right now. I must say as soon as we entered we were greeted and seated right away. Which was nice, as we arrived straight from the airport. The food was delicious!! And the staff was super nice and understanding. They give you an English menu and an Albanian one. Which is nice. We ordered the appetiser and main together. We had the Slovakian sausage, beef meatballs with potatoes, beef casserole, Turkish sausage with pita bread and feta cheese and stuffed green peppers(picture isn’t shown). For dessert we had the tiramisu and rice pudding. I’m a bit biased as I loveeee tiramisu anyway so to me that was delcious All these dishes were spot on. Would recommend going here if you’re in Tiranë

One of the Best Traditional Restaurants in Tirana Restaurant Ira is truly a gem in Tirana and one of the best places to enjoy authentic traditional food. The lamb shanks are absolutely outstanding — a dish that everyone must try. The mutton cutlets were also amazing, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Yes, the wait time can be a little long, but trust me, the reward is worth it — every bite is pure delight. The food here feels homely, comforting, and authentically Albanian. Located right around the corner in the heart of the Blloku/Padam district, it’s easy to find and definitely worth the visit. Highly recommend Restaurant Ira if you want to experience the very best of Tirana’s traditional cuisine.

Had a wonderful dinner here, food was great, very well presented and staff was professional. Tried the dolmates, some Albanian pie, the meatballs and lamb. All incredibly tasty. Came with a nice bottle of Albanian red which I also enjoyed. The chocolate and pistachio baklava was great, too! Make sure you have a reservation as queues can get quite long.

Great place. We wanted to try some Albania cuisine but also wanted some vegetarian options for myself. My husband enjoyed his meatballs and I enjoyed my stuffed egg plant. We were lucky enough to sit down stright away but very soon there was a queue of people waiting (it was moving fairly fast though), so if you can book in advance.

This restaurant was absolutely fabulous and one of my highlights during my stay in Tirana. It was so good in fact, my friends and I returned for a second dinner. All of the food was incredibly flavourful and delicious and I have a new love for Albanian food! Service was great. We did have to stand in a short line the first night (a Wednesday evening in July) because we did not have a reservation. A table for 5 only took around 25 mins. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Era Restaurant—truly one of the best places in Tirana to enjoy authentic Albanian cuisine with a modern touch. From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The menu is packed with traditional favorites, and everything we ordered was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The childhood flatbread and tave kosi were rich and comforting, while the peppers with scattered milk offered a unique taste I hadn’t experienced before. Don’t miss the summer curd dip—it’s light, fresh, and unforgettable! Service was professional and friendly, with the staff taking time to explain the dishes and offer recommendations. The outdoor seating at Era Vila added to the charm—peaceful, relaxing, and perfect for a long lunch or cozy dinner. While the prices are slightly above average for Albania, the quality of food, setting, and service more than justify it. This is a must-visit restaurant for anyone wanting to discover the best of Albanian hospitality and flavor. Highly recommended! 🍷🇦🇱

Namazgah Mosque, also known as the Great Mosque of Tirana, is a remarkable architectural marvel that stands as the largest mosque in the Balkans. Its construction was initiated after the end of communism to provide a central place for Muslims to gather and pray. The mosque's design seamlessly blends traditional Ottoman elements with intricate details, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship and dedication to preserving Islamic architecture.
Great Mosque of Tirana or the local name Namazgja Mosque is really attracting people to come and visit. Amazing architectural beauty, mimic many mosques in Istanbul, funded partially by Turkish government. Upon entry, there will be fountain like ablution area. Great mosque with capacity of 5000 people and the same number in the areas around. 4 nice minaret. Many bigger running after you upon entry and exit.

An absolutely stunning piece of architecture and a true landmark for Tirana. This is the largest mosque in the Balkans, and its grandeur is immediately apparent. The design is inspired by Classical Ottoman architecture, and it's truly magnificent both inside and out, with four impressive minarets and a huge central dome. The interior is beautiful and spacious, and you can really feel the serene and welcoming atmosphere. It's a wonderful place to visit, even just to admire the incredible craftsmanship and appreciate its cultural significance for the city. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.

It the was the first time I have ever visited a mosque, and this one is quite beautiful. There are different areas for man and woman, but the guy at the door allowed my wife to go inside with me in the are that is only for man (which is the best one btw). Woman need to wear a special clothing they provide at the door, to cover the body + head. Of course this review is being done from the touristic point of view

A beautiful mosque with the most amazing architecture and calligraphy. It was lovely hearing the adhan out loud and to see the revival of Islam in Albania. I attended Jummah here which is was VERY packed both in the men and women’s section. Alhamdulillah Only downside is that they do congregation dua after Fardh salah which is bid’ah. May Allah guide us all.

The Namazgja Mosque is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in Tirana. Its grand scale, elegant design, and intricate details make it not only a place of worship but also a true work of art. The white marble, beautiful domes, and carefully crafted calligraphy create a peaceful and majestic atmosphere. Even from a cultural perspective, it’s fascinating. The mosque stands as a symbol of Albania’s religious diversity and history, while also feeling modern and open. Whether you’re interested in architecture, religion, or local culture, this mosque is definitely worth a visit. There is no entrance fee, and a friendly woman at the entrance will kindly provide a headscarf for female visitors. Just keep in mind that entry isn’t permitted during prayer times, so it’s worth checking the schedule or coming outside of those hours.

Today, for the first time, I visited one of the most beautiful gems of Tirana – the magnificent Namazgja Mosque! A magical feeling touches the soul the moment you enter this sacred place, where the impressive architecture and inner peace create an unforgettable experience. I am deeply moved to have had the opportunity to be here – a special moment I will remember for a long time! 🕌✨

A beautiful mosque in the heart of the city. The architecture is elegant, the atmosphere peaceful, and the surroundings well kept. A perfect place for prayer and reflection.

Very cool mosque. It is free to go inside and take a look. Women need to have legs, shoulders, and head covered, but they have wraps and such at the entrance. Women also use a separate entrance and can view the interior from upstairs. It is the largest mosque in the Balkans.

Restaurant
The Rooms Restaurant is a popular spot in Tirana known for its Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Guests rave about the tasty ravioli, fillet steaks, and smoked salmon, as well as the delicious tiramisu and ice cream. The restaurant also offers a selection of house wines to complement the meals. While some find the decor to be plain, others appreciate the spaciousness and ample natural light during daytime visits.
The Room’s Restaurant in Tirana is an excellent choice for a group dining experience or a casual yet refined meal. I recently visited with friends, and from the moment we arrived, the staff provided outstanding service, ensuring our reservation was smoothly handled and that we felt well taken care of. The food was served promptly, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The menu offers a fantastic mix of options, catering to various tastes while also showcasing traditional Albanian cuisine. The Albanian wine selection was a pleasant surprise—rich, well-paired, and a perfect complement to the meal. What truly stands out about The Room’s is its balance between quality and affordability. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the high standard of food and service. The ambiance is modern and inviting, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors looking for an authentic yet diverse dining experience. Whether you’re craving a taste of Albania or just looking for a great place to dine with friends, The Room’s Restaurant is a top-notch choice. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend Rooms! The dishes we chose were excellent. The stuffed peppers with rice and meat were very well made and comforting. However, the meatballs were the big surprise: the seasoning with herbs in the rich tomato sauce was divine and really elevated the dish. A very interesting and successful flavour combination. Great food all around!

We popped in for lunch without ever having seen or heard of the place but left very satisfied. Soup of the day and another flavor well presented and delicious. As I am cucumber intolerant, the server offered a potato salad alternative and I have to say it was the best I've ever had, and I've had a lot of American and German potato salads. It was absolutely delicious, warm and garlic and dill flavor bomb. If that wasn't good enough we had a sandwich that came with chips that could have been a meal in itself. Everything was top notch, including the wines and bread rolls which were hot out of the oven. Id highly recommend this place for lunch. Indoor dining room was quiet and comfortable also with a television and nice music. All this was 2800 ALL , a good deal.
Elk H — Google review
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and we were excited to try the food after a long day. However, the lamb chops and grilled beef tasted overly smoky and bitter, likely due to an unclean grill. The meat and potatoes were too charred, which affected the flavor. A bit disappointing, but with better grill maintenance, the experience could be much better.

A la santé is a unique restaurant and art gallery tucked away in Tirana, offering a private and intimate atmosphere. It's known for introducing superfoods to the city's culinary scene. The cozy venue features two indoor rooms and a small outdoor terrace with around 15-20 tables. Despite its hidden location, it offers some of the best and affordable Italian cuisine in the area, particularly renowned for its homemade pastas.
This restaurant has some of the most professional waiter in Tirana. He was very kind and friendly, and his work was beautiful. He is a professional waiter who also knows about ingredients. Quality service was there. And all the dishes are delicious and very reasonable. It was a perfect restaurant up to dessert. There is a semi-indoor space where you can smoke. The location was a bit confusing, but it was a quiet and cozy space. We had great dinner time there. Thank you. I strongly recommend it.

Very tasty food and super nice waiter! The pastas we ordered were very unique and well seasoned. All the food was presented nicely. We got complimentary ice cream which was a particularly nice touch! It is a bit hard to find though.

So happy I came to this place for dinner. Their food is fresh and delicious. It’s not the typical you find in every Albanian or Italian restaurant. I had the risotto with mushrooms and truffle.

Exceptional - awesome food and wonderful service! It was slightly difficult to find the restaurant but it’s basically off the main street, in what felt like a car park. Service was excellent. All for a very reasonable price; including the lovely wine we had. Highly recommended!

Honestly one of the best meals I have ever had. The service was extremely professional and we took our waiters recommendations of the spinach salad and quinoa with truffle and mushroom. I have never eaten something so delicious, rich, earthy and wonderful. If you ever travel to Tirana, A la Santé has to be on your to do list.

Having just arrived in Albania, this was our first meal out and what a good find.. as per other people's reviews this place does not disappoint. Access via a small road so a little hard to find if you don't have Google maps..you can just barely see the green sign from the main road. They offer indoor and semi outdoor seating which is nice. The staff are super helpful and friendly, speak English and also provide an English menu. Thanks Geni for your service. The black homemade pasta was cooled al dente just how we like it. The fried chicken although with slightly too much sauce was delicious.. mopped up well with the bread. My partner also received a complimentary glass of Albanian wine. Would highly recommend.
Paul H — Google review
Simple Italian style restaurant. Mushroom risotto with truffle is nice, rice is cooked al dente, but the flavor of the sauce lacks something, it’s too watery. Maybe some cheese would be nice. Spinach ricotta ravioli is okay, sauce is nice and creamy but I didn’t really like the stuffing. Service is okay, fire some reason they don’t have drinks menu

Tartuf Shop is a popular restaurant in the heart of Tirana, known for its truffle-infused dishes. Visitors praise the welcoming and efficient service, as well as the flavorful dishes such as risotto with chicken and pesto topped with tasty tartuf. The restaurant's cozy ambiance adds to the overall dining experience.
Truffle Heaven. If you like or love truffles like I do then this is a must visit place. The food is amazing and innovative full of imagination with the use of truffles. Every dish was excellent and then to end the meal with a truffle infused honey cheesecake was brilliant. The service provided by Suela made for a spectacular experience.

Wanted to try a good truffle meal, ordered chicken pasta with truffle, definitely above average 😋⭐ I would have preferred a stronger truffle taste but it’s definitely premium as it is. Friendly waiters & good service & atmosphere. Overall good experience & I would recommend. They have seating outside & inside & 1 floor up. 👉There is room to improve the AC strength upstairs during hot summer days but was bearable anyway. Originally I wasn’t sure if place is halal but I saw the good reviews so decided to go & order shrimp or something. The waiter confirmed their chicken is halal :), I would go again to try risotto which also looks very delicious 😋

Some of the best food I've ever eaten!! The potatoes were super creamy and just the perfect size. The pasta was complimented by the freshly grated truffles and sauce perfectly. The risotto could do with being cooked more but the flavours were decadent. The servers were both super sweet and very aware of what we needed. I would 100% go back!

The Orecchiette is too salty for me. The fried rice is smell superb with truffle oil but a bit out of price than what u could get in Albania. The rice is a bit uncook but overall tasty. Truffle pieces is so much smaller than others picture, and it doesn’t taste much. Cheese cake is ordered out of curiosity but did not get impressed 😅 unfortunately, their service doesn’t give any extra point for the atmosphere too. totally an average dining experience.

An absolute gem for truffle lovers! The quality here is incredible and so affordable for what you get. I had the fresh truffle ravioli, and they were divine — rich, perfectly balanced, and the portion was just right. The service is friendly and the food was served very quickly. The place inside is small, modern decorated and cozy. They also have a nice terrace but as it was really hot outside I decided to sit upstairs with the AC on. It is also a shop where you can by fresh truffles, truffle oil etc. If you’re in Tirana and love truffles, don’t miss this spot!

Food from heaven! This was the only place we visited twice on our 2 week vacation, it was just so good. We tried both pastas and risottos and all of them was 6/5! We had to even buy something to take home, so we can remember the foods we had. Service was also spot on, super friendly staff.

Lovely truffle themed restaurant. The Ravioli was especially delicious and the prices are very affordable for the generous use of fresh black truffles. Just a pity about all the smoking at tables right next to you - it really spoils the delicate aromas of the truffles.

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Mullixhiu is a popular restaurant located near Tirana Lake, offering a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The restaurant is adorned with untreated wood, corn cobs, and rustic flour mills, creating an ambiance reminiscent of rural farm life. As a prominent figure in the Albanian slow food movement, Mullixhiu prides itself on using the finest seasonal ingredients to create wholesome and charming dishes.
I LOVED this dinner! Amazing service and the food was incredible high end traditional food. Go for the tasting menu! 30 euros is an incredible deal for this meal. There were mixed reviews on here but me and my two dinner mates totally disagree and loved the meal. The rice ball was the only more mediocre dish but the rest were incredible!
Christie F — Google review
This restaurant has immense charm and character and super friendly helpful staff. We had the sampling menu which is excellent value, offering a good variety of dishes and reasonable portions, considering that one is having seven courses. There is an extensive a la carte menu as well. I have read reviews that complained of blandness. We felt that every dish had great flavour and balance, some with very nuanced flavours, rather than smash-you-in-the-face flavour bombs. The dessert of custard and ice cream could have had a bit more honey, but was true to the simple rural fare from which it is derived. In my pics I have posted the menu and the dishes in the menu sequence. All were delicious, the highlights being the pumpkin salad, meatball soup, beef cheeks rosnica, and trout. Mmmm that’s everything!
Doug V — Google review
Hm, great food (We had the menu), mediocre service. You’ve got an expectation when visiting this place as it’s well know outside Albania. The dishes were tasteful & made an interesting choice of herbs & spices. About the best we had in 2 weeks Albania. The service on the other hand was mew… The barman was great: Nice wine, good Raki. The table waiter gave us a feeling that we‘re not customers but a nuisance. He did his job, but without passion and a customer related view. Table next to us wasn’t cleaned for more than an hour until we wiped the table & put the bread baskets together. Considering the variety of places in Tirana, we probably wouldn’t return…
Jan-Peter R — Google review
Don’t be swayed by the 1 star reviews. There are many people on here with an expectation of what this place should be. For me it was everything it advertised and it was executed perfectly. Firstly, the food is a celebration of the rustic simple foods of Albania. For those who don’t live in Central Europe, maybe that means too much sour cream or ‘not enough flavour’ but I thought it was a beautiful blend of peasant dishes and seasonal quality with an elevated urban presentation. As many other reviews have mentioned the interior and the service were spot on and matched the concept excellently. I would strongly recommend for an authentic but elevated experience. Just don’t come with unrealistic expectations based on the head chefs prior experience. That’s an unrealistic and unhelpful approach to the diverse world of fine dining.
Nick B — Google review
Absolutely divine dining experience here. The tasting menu is a delectable collection of traditional Albanian food with many standouts (the beef cheek, the quail, the trout). Attentive, friendly service with a rustic but refined feel. Our best meal in Albania, don’t miss it!
Maria I — Google review
Georg from Big Ukraine🇺🇦 Everything was truly wonderful — the food, the service, the atmosphere — all very good and tasty. Yet something seems to be slipping somewhere. I can’t quite define what it is, but it needs to be found and corrected soon. Otherwise, the whole concept might lose its harmony. This is my sincere, personal impression. I really liked everything — the team, the quality, the effort. It’s just important now to stay attentive and bring in an outside perspective, to notice what you might no longer see yourselves. You’re not any worse than other well-known restaurants like à la Era Villa — you’re on that same level. The main thing is not to lose your spark. And everything I write here is on the level of feeling — something that should be trusted if you truly want success. P.S. Take a closer look — maybe someone from your team or one of the key people has simply grown tired. Sometimes that alone quietly changes the whole energy of a place. Besides that, maybe it would also make sense to look back at some of the previous reviews — and even the photo of the menu for 3000 lek — to reflect a bit. Perhaps what’s missing now is just a bit more energy, freshness, and playfulness. Wash off the routine, don’t let it become too monotonous, heavy, or “cotton-like.” The place deserves to stay alive, vibrant, and full of authentic Albanian soul — maybe even with a touch more fun, color, and mineral sparkle. I’ll definitely come again — and I’ll be happy to see how it evolves.
Georg R — Google review
Review: What a gem of a find! This traditional Albanian restaurant serves a beautifully crafted 7-course tasting menu for just 3000 LEK, offering incredible value and authenticity. Each dish celebrates local flavors — from hearty soups and slow-cooked meats to homemade breads and seasonal vegetables — all prepared with genuine care rather than fuss. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, not pretentious at all, yet the service feels personal and attentive, as if you’re dining in someone’s home. Every course arrives with a short explanation and a proud smile. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and you can truly taste Albania’s warmth and hospitality in every bite. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an honest, soulful dining experience.
Pia P — Google review
This place 'wants' to be fine dining but it is not... The service is stuccatto, and our plates were taken before the whole party had finished earing. It was tiny portions of local food. The quail must be huge in Albania as the piece of meat I had in my pasta dish was very large... 😉 The sauce on the white fish was extremely salty and not what was advertised. A long grey hair baked in my meatball... But for the price and experience was actually worth it. The house red was quaffable. Lots of staff milling around on their phone or outside making food for the next day.

Oda is a traditional Albanian restaurant in Tirana that showcases the influence of Ottoman cuisine on local dishes. Housed in an authentic old house, the restaurant offers a unique dining experience with low tables and ottoman stools. The menu features a variety of typically Albanian recipes, including options for vegetarians such as stuffed eggplant and fried rice balls. Tucked away in an unmarked alleyway, Oda exudes charm with its decor adorned with garlic wreaths and vintage photographs.
Amazing traditional Albanian food. Waiters are very attentive. They have live music on the weekends so arrive early to get a table as they get very busy those days. They have a great deal where you get 3 dishes (listed on menu) for a fixed price if you want to share. I came here twice on my trip to Tirana which I usually never do. Good sign!
Josselin — Google review
A very atmospheric place, very popular and highly promoted, everyone recommends it. We really liked the atmosphere and the interesting concept of two residential buildings, with many tables in each apartment. It was packed with people, every spot was taken. Musicians walked from room to room playing traditional music. The food, however, we didn’t like at all — it was tasteless and not enjoyable. We didn’t even finish our dishes. We do not recommend this place.
Tetianа S — Google review
We had a mixed experience at this restaurant. If you’re looking for a nice, flavorful salad, I wouldn’t recommend it. Ours had zero seasoning and felt like we had to do the work ourselves as it also wasn’t cut properly. The bread was also quite dense, with more of a cake-like consistency. On the other hand, the traditional lamb was excellent — very well prepared and truly delicious. Because of this, I’d suggest going with a larger group and ordering a variety of dishes to share, which I think would make the overall experience much better. Service fee was 20%!! not the 10% that are indicated on the bill. We unfortunately only saw that when we were back at the hotel. As for the atmosphere: the traditional live music was a nice touch, but also quite loud. When the musicians were in our room, it was difficult to talk, and you could only listen. After about 10 minutes, they moved on to the next room. Overall, I’d recommend visiting if you’re looking for this kind of cultural dining experience, but be mindful of what you order and the lively atmosphere.
Tina L — Google review
The food just isn’t worth the price. I’m keeping it simple. The ambience is lovely — I’m sitting under a pomegranate tree with lemon trees in the yard, and the vibe is definitely nice — but the food is lacking. You can look at the photo of my salad before I seasoned it… it says a lot. The meat quality isn’t great either. I’ve had better homemade-style meatballs from a fast food spot. Total tourist trap. Take my word for it — skip this on

We had an incredible experience! The service was excellent, the servers were very pleasant and attentive. The musicians provided us with an immersive musical performance! And to top it all off, the food we had was delicious. We highly recommend it!
Canady H — Google review
The place feels very traditional. Old cinema posters on the wall, with a nice English explanation, hand woven tablecloths that they protect with paper ones on top, very typical Albanian food. Perfect place to experience a traditional Albanian meal!
Andreea D — Google review
Food was delicious! We ordered the sour cream, eggplant, lamb cooked in an oven and vine leaves. We did not like the Meatballs as we found them extremely salty. Service was friendly although a little slow but we didn't mind. Atmosphere was beautiful and open in a cute courtyard with live traditional music.
Sheriza S — Google review
If you want to enjoy authentic local Albanian cuisine with local people at a great price and in a lively atmosphere, this is the place to go! We absolutely loved the food. A local group of musicians suddenly showed up and started playing live music — and before we knew it, everyone was singing and dancing together. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try real local food in a friendly setting.

History Museums
The National Historical Museum in Albania is housed in a Communist-era building and offers themed exhibitions that cover the country's history from ancient times to the present day. The museum showcases artifacts, exhibits, maps, monuments, paintings, documents, and more to provide insight into Albania's multicultural past. Visitors can explore the history of the region's inhabitants, including the Illyrians and their interactions with Romans and Greeks.
Located in the heart of Tirana, the National Historical Museum was inaugurated on October 28, 1981. It is the largest museum in Albania and showcases the country's history from antiquity to modern times. Visitors can see artifacts from the ancient Illyrian period, the Roman and Byzantine eras, and the medieval period, as well as exhibits on the Albanian National Awakening and the communist era. The iconic mosaic of the façade of the National Historic Museum is considered to be one of the finest examples of late Albanian Socialist Realism. Installed in 1981, it showcases some of the important milestones of the country’s history, spanning from antiquity to the Communist era, across its 565 m2 surface area.

I recently visited the National Historical Museum in Tirana and was disappointed to find it temporarily closed. However, the museum's exterior is impressive, and the location is central, making it a great starting point for exploring the city. I’ve heard the exhibits showcase Albania’s rich history, and I can’t wait to return when it reopens.

The National Historical Museum in Tirana is a captivating dive into Albania’s rich past. From ancient artifacts to modern history, every exhibit tells a story of resilience and culture. A must-visit for anyone wanting to understand the heart and soul of Albania.

I was really looking forward to visiting the National Historical Museum, but unfortunately, it was closed when I arrived. There was no clear sign or information about the closure, which was quite disappointing. The building looks impressive from the outside, especially at night, but that’s all I could experience. It’s a shame that such an important cultural site wasn’t accessible.
Misha S — Google review
The National Historical Museum is the kind of place that reminds you a country’s story is never simple. The mosaic outside already sets the tone — proud, dramatic, full of struggle. Inside, the halls move you through Albania’s past step by step: Illyrian roots, invasions, resistance, dictatorship. Some sections feel heavy, especially the modern history rooms, but that weight is part of the truth they’re trying to show. It’s not flashy or over-designed; it’s honest. You walk out understanding the country better — not just dates and events, but the spirit that shaped the people.
Nomad7 — Google review
Probably 4 stars but it is an extensive museum where you will surely learn things. Covers a wide time range, Bronze Age to WW2. Maps, objects, photos, clothing are all part of the museum. There is even an iconography section which includes stuff from Kosovo. Generally there is a bit too much writing in bunched up mega-paragraphs in each section. Not a great way to transmit the knowledge. People would walk right by a lot of it like “Sorry this happened to you Albania but I’m not reading all that.” Text is in Albanian and English only. Worth the 500 lek entry but hard to understand why they close at 4pm and don’t take euros or card. Definitely one of the best museums in the country.
Damian T — Google review
Overall it was good experience. The ancient part is amazing. However there are some periods in the history are missing. It would have more variety sections and the museum can be more modernized. Nevertheless it is a must place to visit in Tirana.
Samet K — Google review
It's worth visiting. The National History Museum includes the following pavilions: the Pavilion of Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Independence, Iconography, National Liberation Antifascist War, Communist Terror, and Mother Teresa. They overleaped Ottoman Period. It is obviously political decision. You need 1 hour at least to see everything.

Hemingway Bar Tirana

Hemingway Bar Tirana is a hidden gem in the city, offering a cozy and vibrant atmosphere with Cuban-inspired decor and authentic ambiance. Located in a quieter part of town near Skanderberg Square, it boasts over 100 types of rum as its specialty liquor and old-fashioned decor reminiscent of 1970s and 80s Albania with a bohemian twist. The bar is known for its friendly staff, delicious cocktails, and jazz music playing inside.
I am blown out of my mind how incredible this place is! The ambience is to die for! Great service from Bart and Joy!! I had a fantastic evening.
Samantha S — Google review
The atmosphere was really chill, and yes—they have a cat, which is obviously a win. Cocktails were good, no complaints there. That said, we went across the street later and the drinks and service were even better. You mostly come here for how the place looks, and that’s totally fine—it’s got the vibe
Gvido R — Google review
The atmosphere of the bar is unique and cool, but the service wasn’t exactly what we wanted to get for a fun night out. The drinks were good but we had to wait a lot and sometimes it felt like the waitresses ignoring us. All in all it is a good place to have a drink, but don’t expect to have a super kind service.
Hanna H — Google review
Stepping into the Hemingway Bar feels less like entering a bar and more like discovering an amazing records collection. A vast choice of liqueurs. The atmosphere is bohemian and captivating. Welcoming warmth and great vibes.

Great vibe on a Saturday night. Fairly crowded but the servers and bartenders were doing a good job of keeping up with orders. Drinks were really nice, served in nice glasses and tasted good. We had scotch and sodas, gin and tonics and mojito. Some olives and snacks were offered free if charge. Good music vibe all night. Outdoor seating and smoking available. No smoking inside which was great. Seemed to be cash only.
Elk H — Google review
Hemingway in Tirana is pure magic. The moment you walk in, the cozy yet stylish vibe wraps around you like a warm hug. The cocktails are crafted like art and every corner feels like it has a story to tell. Obsessed with the little details—the lighting, the music, the energy—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger, laugh, and soak it all in. A true Tirana gem where every visit feels cinematic. My absolute favorite place in Tirana💛

The Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral, completed in 2012, is a prominent landmark in Tirana. It stands out with its modern marble facade and a 46-meter bell tower that adds to its unique appearance. The cathedral complex includes the main cathedral, residence of the Holy Synod, Chapel of the Nativity, cultural center, small chapel, and library.
This is a fantastic Cathedral in the city center with beautiful murals and a very ornate altar. There is a beautiful bell tower and a most original entrance. Steps down to the right in front lead to a book shop with other items and icons for sale. Very nice! The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral is an Albanian Orthodox church considered among the largest Eastern Orthodox churches in the Balkans. It officially opened June 24, 2012, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the revival of the Albanian Orthodox Church and the election of Archbishop Anastasios of Albania.
Kirk B — Google review
Magnificent church with a large ornate dome. Under the dome in the main area of the church, four arches complete a circular structure around the sides with beautiful murals painted onto the pillars of each archway, It's also worth visiting at night to see the lighting at the front entrance.
Miles M — Google review
The Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral in Tirana is a standout piece of architecture in the city center—I didn’t go inside, but its design truly caught my eye. That large tower—I’m not quite sure of its purpose—adds a striking vertical dimension and gives the cathedral a powerful presence in the skyline. Interesting Fact: This cathedral is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox churches in the Balkans. It opened in 2012 and was built as a symbol of the revival of the Orthodox Church after decades of religious suppression under communism. The complex includes not just the main cathedral but also a bell tower, a chapel, a cultural center, a museum, a library, and more. The architecture blends traditional Byzantine inspiration (with a nod to the design of Hagia Sophia) with contemporary touches, creating a beautiful expression of religious and cultural renewal in Albania.

I visited the Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral in Tirana, Albania, and it was a truly awe-inspiring experience. The architecture is magnificent, with stunning Byzantine-style mosaics and intricate details. The atmosphere is serene and reverent, providing a peaceful space for contemplation. The cultural significance of the cathedral is immense, showcasing the rich history and traditions of the Orthodox Christian community in Albania. Overall, the Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral is a must-visit for those interested in art, history, and religious architecture.

In the heart of Tirana, I found a moment of peace at the Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral. It's located near the Skanderbeg Square. Its golden dome, glowing mosaics, and sacred silence offered a powerful sense of hope and renewal. I lit a candle, made a quiet wish, and left with a full heart. A true sanctuary for the soul.

The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral in Tirana is located in the city centre. It's supposed to be the third largest church in the Balkans. It's a relatively new structure, opened in 2012. The Cathedral complex has several other buildings including the bell tower, a library and two small Chappell. The Cathedral dome is 32.2 meter in height and very beautiful. The side pillars are also very decorative. Its very peaceful to spend time in the church. Overall very beautiful church, definitely a must visit place in Tirana.

A beautiful and historic church — full of character and peaceful atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit to appreciate its architecture and history. ⛪🌿
IsKoc ( — Google review
Very nice church. The only thing I didn't understand was why people would light candles and after they left, a young man working in the church would go there and put off the candles and throw them in a box. I started there for 15 minutes and he did that three times with many candles at a time. Very few stayed lit. Weird.

The Cloud, also known as Reja, is a popular photography spot in Tirana, situated near the National Gallery of Arts. Designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, it has become an iconic symbol of the city and a favorite location for selfies. This unique structure stands out among Tirana's vibrant street art scene and serves as a reminder of the city's history, surviving from the Communist regime era.
A cool and creative space in the heart of the city. Loved the mix of modern design and cultural vibe — definitely worth a stop while exploring Tirana!

It's ok and nothing special. Better off by utilizing the time that you have by visiting the Pyramid for the views and Tirana Park on the south side of the hill or visiting a museum, instead. They are much more interesting, by far.

We went at night and it does look cool, it is a bit dirty but i guess it is a public display. In a way i think it is useful as a hang out spot for teens since it is just one big bench if you think about it. Maybe clean it ? idk
Sara R — Google review
Impressive installed art. This artist is very famous. So I saw similar art in my country. But it needs to be maintained well! If they clean the art, it would keep people happy. But it is left dirty….it is disrespect to artist and this art.

This local favourite serves up delicious souvlakis made with traditional Greek ingredients. It's always busy, and the staff are efficient in moving orders along quickly. The food is good value for money, and the location can't be beat - it's a great place to grab something quick on a night out.
Very good local food. Great value for money.

Food was ok, some was cold and our meals were brought out in stages. Some of our party had finished eating before others received their meals. There was one waitress who, bless her, was run ragged. But she did a fab job under such pressure.
Tina M — Google review
Nice tasty chicken gyros, big portions, good prices. But definitely was not greek original!
Natasa B — Google review
We stopped in because we were craving some Greek style food. The entire place was packed. It took almost 20 minutes to order and the. Another 20 to get our food. The solvaki was pretty good but it wasn’t the best that I’ve had in Tirana. We sat outside with many other diners and we were hassled for money about four times. Which was a bit annoying. Overall this place is pretty good for a bite as long as it’s not too crowded.

I have been here three times so far and the food is always good and the prices are fair. Service is good overall. Gets busy at peak times but the number of staff members keeps orders moving fast. Great location. Highly recommended overall.

Lovely staff, let us come in and order 30 mins before closing. Have sufficient vegetarian options too. Veggie burger and grill house salad are lovely

The place was packed but the waiter went out of his way to accommodate us 6 together It has an indoor area that is two levels the upper level is fine but the lower level is too close to the kitchen and it was too busy The outdoor area is really nice The price is really reasonable Our waiter did not get us all what we ordered he missed one dish and due to the cooking time we hade to change it so we can all eat together

Restaurant
Restaurant Tymi is a place where you can enjoy traditional Albanian dishes and beers. It also has big screens for watching sports, if that's your thing. The food is mostly meat-based, but it's decent.
This place was the absolutely best restaurant in my two weeks trips around Albania. What a wonderful experience, both in terms of food and also the service and atmosphere. From the moment you walk in you’re obviously not a second in doubt that this place is out of the ordinary. The decoration is crazy, and I can’t even describe it. It’s just one giant mismatch of artifacts of all different kinds, even the toilet is crazy. There is simply so many details here that I am sure the waiters themselves find something new whenever they’re here. I love the touch of the giant TV’s in the restaurant too, and I our case it was playing kids movies 😂 The young waiters are laid back and professional, and make sure they take good care of you. Also service is incredibly fast, both in terms of drinks and food. They had a really nice beer card that I would like to recommend too. Anyways now to the food. I started with soup of the day, and unfortunately I cannot remember what was in it but it was lovely. Light broth with plenty of flavor, perfect light start. Then we were served five different types of dips alongside some crispy potato chips and bread. The crispy potato’s were indeed crispy, but man the dips were amazing too. We really regret that we didn’t order more. I almost got full only in dips and bread. Then I had the tomato eggplant starter which was really nice. It was served cold, I’ve had that before in Turkey and although I don’t mind it cold I prefer such dishes warm to be honest. But still very nice and flavorful. Alongside that, I had the 500g of lamb ribs. Really good too and nicely seasoned, they were a bit “meatless” but that was okay, I was pretty full by now anyways. However nice flavor all around on those. Really great experience, big recommendation from me.

Arrived early (5:15pm/Friday). It was busy, but got seated immediately. Wait staff very helpful picking vegetarian food items from on-line photo menu. Printed menu in English as well. All the food was excellent! We ordered the beans in clay pot, but after being delivered, he took them back, stating that they were not cooked properly (undercooked). I can appreciate his candor. We got dolmas instead. The restaurant itself was very eclectic, played Madonna, MJ, Whitney Houston when we were there. Overall, excellent! We will definitely be back in November.

Trendy but not cliche. Popular as the vibe is awesome and the food even better. Great portions served really well by professional and attentive staff. We had meatballs, goat sausage omg delicious, home made potato chips, mushrooms, local beer, a nice wine and it all came with some fresh pitas. Inside the place is decorated like something from a movie set with big and small tables and cozy chairs. Our table was sitting on a tree stump...that kind of cool. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and it was sad to leave but I needed to walk that off, whew.
Elk H — Google review
We had an amazing first meal in Tiranë! The staff was incredible. So kind and welcoming. They brought us local beers to try and kept offering us a better table as better seating options became available. The food was wonderful — so flavorful, fresh, and delicious! I wish I had another stomach so we could have finished it all.
Jordyn M — Google review
If you’re visiting Tirana, this spot is a must! It’s colorful, cozy, and has such a fun, jazzy vibe. The food is incredible — we tried the chicken shish, grilled cheese with peppers, and fresh pita with dips, and everything tasted full of local flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. A true taste of Albanian hospitality and one of the best meals I had in Tirana!

Tymi’s came highly recommended by our guesthouse host and as we had just arrived in Tirana we were anxious to try traditional Albanese food. This place does not disappoint! First, the lineup to get inside is a good indication that it’s worth it…it is! From the eclectic decor (hello, Mr Bean!) to the variety of traditional dishes, it was a fun dining experience in downtown Tirana!

Last night we experienced a meal that will rank up there with some of our most memorable. The Tymi was literally glowing with energy and excitement. Exceptional service and fantastic food and two cold beers. Fed and entertained for €18. Fantastic on all levels.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and the views are incredible. I didn't eat any food so can't comment on that portion. Definitely stop buy for a drink and the fantastic view.

I want to let everybody know to not expect some special quality of drinks. I was excited for whiskey sour drink but it looked nothing like the drink should. So I would recommend to order the drink with least ingredients possible. Otherwise the view from the place is really nice and you can see most of the city.

We wandered in on a Tuesday evening and spent the night tasting cocktails. The prices are very reasonable, the staff are really friendly and the views are amazing. The cocktails we tried were all nice too, we didn’t try any of the food.

The drinks were not prepared well at all. I got a whisky sour and it had no cream on top neither was it smooth. Really not the thing to desire. Also the atmosphere was not nice, it was very loud, the music was some sort of rap music and was not live. Not a pleasant stay. Would only recommend for the view, but even then you can just skip it.

A warm atmosphere, quick service, and fantastic food. But what truly sets this place apart is the head waiter. A true professional – communicative, polite, and remarkably attentive to every customer.
