A great place, the service was a little of short seems they are more customers than staff. But overall it's a gmvery great place to get your phones, clothes any many other stuff.

A perfect stop close to the highway if you come from North or Northwest and travel to Adria coast or Toscana/Central Italy. Lots and lots of parking spaces, shops of all kinds, restaurants, cheap gas stations here. There is also a giant coop grocery supermarket.

Too many American stores for my taste. Has one of the best grocery stores I visited in Modena. Good bus service.

All you need at one place.

Beautiful clothing, sportswear, electronics, jewellery, personal care, and home décor stores may be found here. A wide range of food and beverage options are available, as are almost all mobile phone service providers. Having a large supermarket with affordable pricing and a wide variety of deals has made it my go-to shopping destination. Taking a stroll with your family or friends is also a fantastic idea because of the large corridors. Take a shot at it!

A quaint park. Very degraded and run down by OECD standards. The lake water was soupy green but had thriving turtles, introduced Castorino (large rodents), ducks & coots. It's quite a relaxed place but could do with a bit of money being spent & refreshed infrastructure considering its a major park in a decent sized town.

Park seems strangely built,still sort of trying to figure out the layout but nice park, perfect for getting in shape, a lot of runner space. Kids play areas/football areas and little cafes with seating areas. The pond is also a nice addition to completing a day to the park.

Nice place for baby to play and know about nature. But unfortunately, some of toys has broken, need comune to fix it soon, so baby can be more enjoy...

We were in Modena for a few hours, so we decided to stop by. The AC was very strong, which was a relief since it happened to be a very hot day. Entry is free for minors (under 18), €2 for people aged 18-25, and €6 for normal visitors. There are also free (and clean) bathrooms, which are very hard to find in Modena! I easily spent 45-60 minutes inside! The gallery has a small collection of Egyptian artifacts and many terracotta sculptures, oil paintings, marble busts and more. It has a good selection of religious art too.

Well organized modern gallery with a collection of some note, though you’ll have to travel to Dresden to see the heart of the collection, which was sold off in the 18th century. Nonetheless you can see masterworks by de Roberti, Tintoretto, Velasquez, Veronese, Bassano, Dossi, Spada, a great selection of Guercino paintings, and probably the world’s largest collection of Lelio Orsi paintings.

Very large well presented gallery lucky for us. We had a docent who was lovely and explained a lot of the important pieces to us. Highly recommended. It’s air-conditioned in the gallery. They have four museums there. Under the same complex.

A very interesting gallery that is worth visiting when you are in Modena. Paintings, statues and objects from different time periods are presented. Most of them are works of art, related to the region. There are some very impressive specimens.

Quality, rarity, paintings from the 13th century through the 18th century. Friendly, warmth from the associates. Well worth the 6 Euro fee for those outside the European Union. A very old collection that has aged beyond beauty. Superb. Do not miss the Gallery Estense. Check hours in Italy, they are there for amore not the money. An easy walk on the main road, Via Emilia from the tower in the center of Modena. The entrance is too the left. On viale Vi Veneto.

A very beautiful gallery. Many impressive and very colorful religious paintings but also some statues and musical instruments. I went there by chance and was very impressed.

This traditional trattoria was recommended on many blogs we read and the lonely planet book, a lot of hype. It was absolutely incredible - bustling with locals and serving delicious traditional pasta cooked perfectly. Some of the best food we have had in Italy. Left my husband speechless. Do the pasta tasting menu - we had tortellini with butter and sage, and the gramigna sausage ragu both were highlights!

If you’ve searched for an authentic Modenese dining experience, Trattoria Aldina will have certainly appeared in your search results - and for good reason. The obligatory queue before opening time is richly rewarded for its patience. This bustling and efficient trattoria packed full of diners anticipating their meal has the atmosphere of a big family occasion. The food is sooo good - obviously home cooked and freshly prepared. The accompanying wine options are fitting and everyone leaves with a feeling of satisfied contentment. Make sure you get to dine here at least once during your visit to Modena.

Very pleasant visit. Friendly service even though it was very busy for lunch, locals and tourists. Delicious food and reasonable prices. A bit challenging to find, I’ve included pics of the entrance and stairs up to the door. Definitely make your way here for an authentic experience.

Great place to eat, very authentic with just as many locals as tourists. The place was super busy at lunch and the food was very good, staff was very polite despite being slammed with tables. Worth the visit is in Modena. My wife and I had pasta, split a secondo and a side with small bottle of Lambrusco, dessert and 2 caffes and it was 56 euro, a solid deal for all we had.

Some of the BEST food our whole trip. We were recommended to come here after our balsamic tour and were soooooo glad we did. If you’re reading this review do your best to get a reservation, otherwise jump on the waitlist ASAP! We’re vegetarian and they had plenty of options and every dish was delicious! Also the owner was so accommodating and we appreciate how hard he worked to make sure people could get a table and eat the amazing food!!!

Located just up a staircase this delightful place with most delicious food is definitely worth a visit. I’d love to come back here and will be dreaming about the gnocchi for a while. Service is quick.

A very local experience in the heart of Modena! The restaurant is open for lunch, and you have to ring the doorbell to get into. The food was very delicious and freshly prepared. The decoration was also very unique. I recommend this place if you are in Modena!

The first place I ate upon getting to Modena. I'm a fan of Puglia and its food so my interest was piqued when I happened upon this place. Very friendly with delicious authentic food. Come essere in Lecce!

Great little bar/cafe across from the local markets. Great service given by the young lady. Great tasting delicious food and good 🍹 drinks. Fresh local produce that melts on your tongue.

Immediate addiction with the bowl of scrumptious Tarallini All'ol'io (we bought two bags to take with us). The meatballs/polpette were sooo good and the vegetable plate burrata e sapori Della Terra was amazing. Mozzarella was incredibly fresh/young and delicious.

Absolutely loved the place. The food is simple, yet the taste is incredible. Good quality ingredients and so much flavour. We went to try the sandwiches for lunch and went back for a bottle of wine and dinner too. The one dessert they have on the menu was a very nice surprise. Highly recommend!

Nice place to grab tasty food from Puglia. I highly recommend their focaccia and other dishes with burrata. The service is kind. A shame there is no bathroom (at least I did not see any… but I have to buy new glasses!)

We visited missing Puglia's food. Cute outside sitting in lovely surroundings. Foccacia barese was absolutely delicious and a decent portion. And so was fave e cicoria! 10/10 for food, ambiance and vegan options!

Great lunch, lovingly prepared with top ingredients. Very nice waiter who gave good recommendations. The tartare di manzo (handcut) was beautiful, pickled red onion - ansjovis and mustard to spice it gave great tasting sensation. Scallops nice as well. Then came beautiful lamb for my husband who loved it. I had the spaghettone which was a fantastic dish, raw red shrimp tartare on spaghetti was a revelation. Accompanied by a nice bottle of red wine advised by the waiter. And the dolci were also great. We sat outside as weather was nice, but inside looks great as well! Thanks for a memorable lunch guys!!

We were in Modena on a Tuesday night and decided to drop by here for dinner. Since it was white truffle season, I had the poached eggs with white truffles and the pasta with truffles. Fantastic. Price was very reasonable for what you get and I really enjoyed it. This place is worth a stop, team there were friendly and service was efficient.

We read somewhere that if you can’t get a reservation to Francesca, you should eat here. This place is delicious! We had the paradelle with ragu, their “special” pasta, a fish tartare, and their fried seabream with green beans and the custard with blackberry sauce. The ragu was slightly salty, but my kiddo loved it and devoured the entire bowl. I don’t care for the raw tuna and shrimp in top of the special pasta, as I didn’t think it added much to the pasta. However, I love the el dente-ness of the pasta and the sauce. There was so much flavor and depth. Easily one of the best pasta dishes of my life. I thought the seabream with crushed pistachio with green beans was delicious! And the custard was amazing! Not overly sweet and very creamy. It was so good, we had to order another one to share.

Hidden up a narrow street this restaurant is well worth looking for. Great service and food, with the help of our cheery waiter we soon selected our dishes and accompanying wine. The food was fabulous and the presentation was top notch. I would certainly visit this one again.

The octopus and potato millefeuille is to die for!! The olives mayonnaise gives a great flavor to the whole dish.

We were very much looking forward to stopping for lunch in Modena on the way to bologna. We came a very long way, and Unfortunately, this was the only experience we had in this town. We ordered two pastas, very clearly stating which ones and it was confirmed by the waiter. We got a bottle of wine, and received the first pasta after 20 minutes. We then waited for over an hour and no one had checked on us. No bread, no one asking if we were okay or if we wanted something else… no update us on when to expect the ragu. We finally asked after an hour and 30 minutes for an update on the second pasta and found out it was never put in. We left still hungry and having no more time to explore the city. There were only 7 tables so I don’t think it was an issue of being too busy and it was not due to a misunderstanding or gap in translation. We did enjoy the first dish, which almost added to the frustration because we would have liked to try more. They tried to make it right by putting it in once we asked after an hour and 30 minutes of not being checked on once in a tiny restaurant, they still did not offer to make it complimentary. It’s a shame as this was our first and likely last experience in Modena.

Locals-only experience in Enzo Ferrari park one breath away from Modena’s Centro Storico. We loved the vibe and the laid back ambience of this spot and the gnocco was outstanding! Like a cloud of happiness that melts in your mouth with delectable cold cuts, washed down with a good glass of Lambrusco. Doesn’t get more Modenese than that!

A simple place with great local food. Go for the gnocco fritto & tigelle with mixed cold cuts. As the owners describe it theirselves: "la forchetta è di plastica, ma il gnocco è d'oro", "The fork is made of plastic but the gnocco fritto is made of gold".

Good range of tigelle, gnocco fritto as well as piadinas. Best if you escort this yummy food with some local wine like lambrusco, in one of the several available variety. I'll be back there, next time I'm in Modena

Best food ever. Forget about the service, just taste the food with a view on the Ferrari Park.

This place has amazing potential. The service was great and the room beautiful. The kitchen seemed a bit young or with a less experienced staff. Some dishes miss the balance in acidity and flavor. My fillet was rushed, undercooked and was not allowed to rest so it resulted in mediocrity. I would love to watch this place grow into something special with all the history it brings.

Made a reservation online via the website months ago, but did not get a confirmation. No email address on website. Messaged via instagram to follow up- got no response. Went to restaurant tonight and door was locked at 7:50pm despite Google saying that they were open - everything looked dark inside so we left.

I was the only guest -- I guess 8 pm is too soon to have sinner for most people -- so I received the full attention of the very attentive staff. The food was really amazing, simple but perfectly done, just as real Italian food should be.

We spent a lovely night dining in the square in the front of the restaurant. Truly cozy and romantic environment with live music (piano and violin) in the background (rent by the restaurant) in a sixties style environment. Delicious dishes both classical of the region/city as well as innovate. The service was truly gentle. Definitely recommended! Final note: do not forget to try the dessert named Oreste, the preferred one by Enzo Ferrari.

Really nice traditional restaurant. If you want to immerse yourself in a time where pavarotti was still alive you should go and eat here. Excellent pasta dishes, all hand made and very delicious. Nice staff, affordable, timeless. Loved it.

Slow, old, but food was ok. Homemade pasta!

Charming Restaurant where nothing changed since the 70'ies, including an old jukebox with italian songs. The quality of the ingredients is very high, most items on the menue are home made. Nevetherless the price is way too high for what it is. Maybe we payed a tourist price, but 9 euros for a really small salad as a side dish is too much. The whole bill for the meal for 2 persons was around 100 euros. Compared to other restaurants with similar quality this is almost the double price. We cannot recommend this restaurant.
