Casa Vasari is a historic home in Arezzo, showcasing intricately detailed fresco murals, sculptures, and paintings. It has been transformed into a museum where visitors can marvel at the decorations created by Giorgio Vasari himself. The museum also houses the Vasari Archive, featuring letters from Vasari and other prominent figures of his time, including Michelangelo. Additionally, it displays some family paintings.
House Vasari in Arezzo is a great spot for anyone who loves art and history. It was the home of Giorgio Vasari, a key figure in the Renaissance who was a painter, architect, and writer. Inside, you can see rooms decorated with his beautiful frescoes, giving a sense of 16th-century style. Highlights include Vasari's studio, the Hall of Fame with portraits of famous people, and a large collection of his drawings and sketches. Visiting the house gives you a close-up look at Vasari's life and work, making it a must-see in Arezzo.
Vlad S — Google review
An amazing collection of art. The house was fascinating in and of itself, as was the story laid out as you went along. For a man and family to collect and maintain such wonderful pieces is amazing. Very fair admission for the tour.
Dave R — Google review
Very nice museum. It’s small, You need about 30-40 min for it. The wall painting are gorgeous. Would recommend to watch the short intro movie.
Dominika N — Google review
The Arezzo home of the 16th Century artist/art historian Vasari. Approx 5 decorated rooms and a terrace garden. At July 23 entrance was €5. Interesting in itself but more so if you have in interest in high renaissance art. Would take somewhere between 30 mins and an hour to go round.
Larry D — Google review
Que bella, questa casa! Beautiful house of multitalent Giorgio Vasari, artist, architect, author! A miracle that these frescoes on ceilings and paintings - from the Renaissance ! - remained intact. Impressive, admission price of 4 Euros I found very fair. Be sure to check availability (and ideally reserve) as only few people are allowed in at one time. The presentation of information could be better, a bit more modern. But: great museum!
Ulrike P — Google review
The house of Vasari is a nice museum, with mainly paintings and frescoes from Vasari himself. There is also the garden, which is very nice. Definitely a very nice museum .
Hartmut P — Google review
The historical house of the artist and art historian Giorgio Vasari. Very small but beautiful rooms with frescoes in the ceiling, especially notable the one with with the arts depicted (music, sculpture, painting and architecture) and the main one with the fireplace. In the latter there is a central depiction of the allegory of virtue, fortune and envy (virtù, fortuna e invidia). Depending from which side of the room you are looking the painting a different one of the three seems victorious! On the walls fire (on the fireplace side) with a city in flame and abundace on the opposite (with a city flooded).
Vincenzo R — Google review
the house can be visited separately or in a ticket combined with the church of san francesco. the visit lasts 30 minutes. you only visit one floor and the garden of the house. in the house you can see frescoes painted by Vasari and other painters from that period. The house is well preserved. Vasari, painter, architect and Italian art historian, became famous through his work: "The lives of the most renowned Italian architects, painters and sculptors, from Cimabue to our times." Giorgio Vasari was born on July 30, 1511 in Arezzo. In the year 1550 the first edition of the work to which Vasari's reputation is linked appears: "Vite de 'più eccellenti architetti, pittori et scultori italiani da Cimabue insino a' TEMPOS", in which he orders the materials collected since 1540 on the life and works great artists. During this period he meets Michelangelo, who advises him to also deal with architecture. In 1568 the second edition of his capital work of art history "Vite de 'più eccellenti ..." appears, enriched with new materials and which constitutes to this day an indispensable source of documentation in this field. In 1554 he settled in Florence, invited by the Duke Cosimo I de 'Medici, who hired him for urban and architectural works. It begins with the restructuring of the old palace ("Palazzo Vecchio"), then continues with the construction of the administrative building "Palazzo degli Uffizi", which will be completed only in 1580, after his death, and which will later become the famous art gallery. In 1563 he begins the great frescoes for the decoration of the "di Cinquecento" salon in Palazzo Vecchio, and in 1565 he begins to build the so-called "Corridoio vasariano" ("The Vasarian Corridor"), which unites Palazzo Vecchio with Palazzo Pitti, crossing the Arno river over Ponte Vecchio, which should serve as a refuge for the ducal family in case of need.

Arezzo Cathedral, also known as Cattedrale di Arezzo, is a hilltop medieval cathedral dedicated to Saint Donatus. It features a stunning Piero della Francesca fresco and notable stained-glass windows by Frenchman Guillaume de Marcillat. The Gothic cathedral's unfinished facade was completed in the 20th century.
I cant remember buying tickets here...maybe because there was a funeral right before we entered. The frescoes on the ceiling are breathtaking. The interior is a little darker than other churches/cathedrals so far. You wanna sit here and just enjoy the details.
Rok S — Google review
This fantastic Cathedral rises atop a hill in the upper part of the city, on the foundations of an ancient early Christian church where a Roman acropolis likely once stood. Begun in the Gothic style during the 13th century, the construction of the dome, dedicated to Saints Peter and Donatus, was not completed until three centuries later, in 1511, after numerous cycles of alteration. Its bell tower with tall, twin windows, designed by Luigi Mercanti, was built between 1857 and 1859. The last reconstruction of the façade was carried out between 1901 and 1914, based on a design by Viviani intended to replace the unfinished one dating back to the 15th century. Dominating the city, this imposing three-nave building, without a transept, boasts seven beautiful stained-glass windows created by the monk and master glassmaker Guillaume de Marcillat from Berry. The French artist worked between Arezzo and Cortona from 1516. This masterpiece of glass art was created in two phases, between 1516 and 1517, and then between 1522 and 1524. These illustrious biblical tales can be admired in the vaults of the first three bays of the main nave and the first bay of the left aisle. Also inside are the small but famous 15th-century fresco of Mary Magdalene by Piero della Francesca, glazed terracotta sculptures by Andrea della Robbia, and the tombs of the 14th-century Bishop Guido Tarlati and Pope Gregory X, who died in Arezzo in 1276.

This is a very impressive cathedral high up on the hill in Arezzo. Inside it is both dark, cavernous and cool which adds to the sense of majesty. A funeral was taking place while we visited which was quite moving and showed how this is a working church for the city. Unfortunately this means that it doesn't seem to have much in the way of signs for tourist visitors.

I was impressed to visit and was not disappointed at all by the beautiful and ancient art.

Breathtaking cathedral! Worth the visit! Also, near the Arezzo Cathedral, the movie La vita e bella was filmed!

Absolutely gorgeous place! Not so many tourists, great atmosphere and very organic place (no barriers etc.). Seems like the cathedral management trusts tourists to behave and allows them to basically walk around which creates as I have said an organic experience. Entry is free.

Nestled within the historic Bruni Ciocchi Palace, the National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art in Arezzo is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. This captivating museum, which opened its doors in 1972, showcases an impressive collection that spans from the Etruscan Era to modern times.
Wonderful collection of medieval and Renaissance art, glorious and injudiciously forgotten names. I came here for an hour (as I thought) and spent full two hours there (and I was the last visitor on this day, and all museum guides patiently waited for me). If you like Italian art, it's a place for you to visit
Sibeaster — Google review
This large museum has an excellent collection. Unfortunately the way in which most items are presented doesn’t meet modern standards for museums. The use of one or two signboards in each room to provide captions for the items is particularly annoying. Nevertheless, the museum is well worth visiting.

A superb collection of maiolica (pottery) competing with Bargello and every national museum, arms, medieval and Renaissance painting : Signorelli, Danti, Pierino da Vinci and the largest and stunning collection of Vasari masterpieces.

Be aware of the different opening times before and after April 1st, also you have to be exactly on time e.g. at 3pm, 4.30 pm and 6pm. The doors open for 10 minutes and are closed until the next opening time which is 90min later. If you like museums and medieval art it is well worth visiting, for which each turn has 75 minutes.

One of the worst museums I've ever seen: underfunded, badly managed, with an outdated style of exposition of art, with astonishing opening hours, with Italian descriptions only etc.

The magnificent Porta San Lorentino is one of the city gates that leads directly into Arezzo's historical center. The bronze chimera in the middle passageway is particularly impressive.

One of the best represented ports in Arezzo historical central. One relic from the Etruscan period that is strongly entwined with the city’s identity is the bronze statue of the Chimera. Uncovered in the 16th century, this fabulous statue of the mythological creature was crafted by the Etruscans. While the original is safely in a museum in Florence, replicas can be found in Arezzo, proudly reflecting their ancient heritage.

Trattoria Mazzoni is a charming neighborhood trattoria that offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. Visitors to the town are welcomed with open arms, and the staff, who speak good English, provide excellent service. The delicious food and great house wine add to the overall experience. In addition to serving standard local Italian cuisine, this trattoria also operates as a deli offering an extensive selection of meats and cheeses from around Italy.
We visited this neighborhood trattoria during the jousting competition. As visitors to the town we were made to feel very very welcome. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The food was delicious and the house wine was great. They explained the tournament to us, how it worked and encouraged us to stay until the end. The other guests were also really friendly to us and invited us to tour the evening's celebrations in the winning quarter. Try all the steaks!!! Our bill was very reasonable at €90 including 3L of wine and dessert drinks.

(Translated by Google) I have to say it was a pleasant experience. I like to change and try new cuisines, but the results do not always confirm expectations. Here, however, I was very satisfied. Fast and attentive service. Tasting dish with an inviting appearance and delicious flavours. Lots of different little flavors to try, well put together, with a good sauce and lots of vegetables, but obviously the meat reigns supreme, spicy, tasty and well cooked. A tip: get some wine paired with it, the beer is a little light to accompany these flavours.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food was amazing and the wine was perfect. The staff were so lovely and provided excellent service. I have to say, the cheesecake was incredible absolutely loved it! Highly recommend 😋😋

I was encouraged to visit this restaurant by its high rating as well as short menu which suggested specialization in specific dishes. I wad welcomed by kind staff which took care of the right atmosphere from the beginning. The positive picture was completed by the nice seat in a quieter part of Via Corsa. The ordered dishes were delicious. The tartare served in three versions, with dips emphasizing its character, deserved to be called a main course in itself. The pici pasta, on the other hand, was not prepared with a heavy meat sauce (which is common), but was bathed in a fresh sauce of yellow tomatoes and garlic from the Valdarno valley. I must honestly admit that the restaurant quality of the dishes enchanted me and my companion, while the prices did not particularly stand out against the average for Arezzo.

A lovely, cozy restaurant. Small kitchen but the chef makes amazing food like his fresh gnocchi with truffles. Good wine selection from this area as well. All the staff were friendly and all pitched in to work together (not something you see often!) Overall, an enjoyable dining experience

Very special restaurant, located next to the church where it borrows the name from. The interior is unique, with high ceiling and fresco's on the walls. The atmosphere is therefore unique, quite and cosy, perfect for a romantic or family dinner. The dishes are really well presented, but must be honest, some of them push the traditional recipes too much and the taste is not what you would expect. That said, the quality is really high, and therefore the price is also adjusted accordingly. Anyway not crazy expensive and definitely worth! Oh, great selection of wines

Chiantineria is a must-visit spot with amazing food and an incredibly wide selection of mainly Tuscan wines. We had such a memorable meal here. The Tuscan crostini with liver pâté were rich and perfectly balanced, and the prosciutto e melone was simple but so fresh—exactly how it’s meant to be. The handmade pasta in red sauce was comforting and full of flavor. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, even letting us practice our Italian, which made the experience feel even more personal. The meal ended with a beautifully presented espresso, complete with a tiny meringue and sugar served in a moka pot—such a sweet touch. Places like this are what make Italy feel truly magical.

Everything about this store is wonderful, from the incredibly sweet staff to the decor, to the unique artisinal products and fantastic meat and cheese. The variety of sauces, sausages and pastas is superb. I literally wanted to buy up the entire store and the staff were so nice to hold everything for me while we went around to sight see, truly above and beyond! After returning to pick up our things, we added to our order and decided on an impromptu cheese board... the best I've had thus far in Italy, melt in your mouth salami, plentiful and fairly priced. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The products here are truly quality; the store's in-house brand does not use sunflower seed oil, which is surprisingly in so much of the products in this country; I regret not buying even more pesto and sauce!

Very good position and cozy beautiful place, with quality food, good jazz music and excellent wine selection. Service is professional and friendly. It's not an restaurant, so the portions are small, but I find the prices a little bit too high. Recommended for the atmosphere, quality food and good wines.

This is a place you do not want to miss...the food is humbly AMAZING 😉 We stopped for a simple aperitif and we end up selecting wine from an incredibly wide range of (mainly) Tuscan 🍷 wines Then we had some boards “taglieri” with selected cured meats from the region and hot bruschettas ...the portion are nice and the price is absolutely honest for the quality the offer. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND

Delicious food and good service! I loved the gorgeous decorations and atmosphere. We had a fancy cheese plate which was a fun way to try some local cheeses, plus the ragu spaghetti and the Tuscan soup. All were flavorful and comforting food on a rainy day.

Day 2

Southeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Basilica di San Francesco, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Roman Amphitheatre of Arezzo. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Basilica di San Francesco is a 13th-century Roman Catholic church known for housing the famous Legends of the True Cross frescoes. The cycle of frescoes, inspired by the Legenda Aurea, depicts the story of the piece of wood used to build Jesus's cross. The basilica itself is a small brick and stone structure located in a square of the same name. Although incomplete in its covering and ornamentation, it remains popular among visitors.
Because of frescoes which are the main attraction in this cathedral, are most important ones around main altar presenting The History of the True Cross from 1400s. In those times most people were illiterate and for them to understand Bible is to make it like a comic books today.....pictures that follow and tell a story. There is another story on the wall, fresco, that was amazing to me. Of archangel Gabriel.
Rok S — Google review
For most people the attraction of the Basilica di San Francesco boils down to one things: the fresco by Piero della Francesca. And to be fair it is an astonishing piece of work even if it does give you neck ache. His rendering of the History of the True Cross is vivid and alive in a remarkable way. Still the church does offer a few more attractions with other frescoes and creations scattered about. There's plenty of space and quite a lot to enjoy if you like Renaissance religious buildings. I can imagine that it gets busy in the holidays but out of season it was a delight.

Large and interesting basilica. Most visitors immediately head for the frescos behind the large hanging cross at the pulpit. Be sure to look to the left just as you pass the ticket booth. There is a beautiful chapel serving as a war memorial to Italian casualties.

A must for Piero della Francesca fans, people who don’t care much should leave space for those, who can appreciate. This is one of the most otherworldly early Renaissance art experiences and the 30 minute slot allotted to visitors will surely stay in their memories forever! Otherwise it’s a nice experience too. Friendly staff, good explanation aids provided. Well worth the effort!
Marcel V — Google review
Time to visit Piero della Francesca frescos formally limited to 30 mins, but, at least out of season, nobody checks if you leave on time. The rest of the church worth attention as well. You have to pay for ticket reservation no matter if you buy online or onsite. In October it was no problem to have a ticket for same day, only couple of time slots were fully sold out. A backpacks have to be left in a locker at the entrance. There is a toilet inside.

Impressive historical church in the middle of the city center of Arezzo. You definitely will walk along this nice place and building when you pay a visit to Arezzo. We were here in September 2021, while it was not too crowded. We didn’t pay a visit to the inside because you can see the inside through a “door window”… .

Superb visit where I could admire frescoes in this Gothic Basilica with painting from the 14th century, houses one of the greatest masterpieces of the Renaissance, the “Legend of the True Cross” by Piero della Francesca, the extraordinary cycle painted by the artist between 1452 and 1455 approximately in the Bacci Chapel.

The Antique Fair Arezzo is a renowned event that takes place on the first weekend of each month in the central Piazza Grande. It features hundreds of exhibitors selling a wide array of antiques and collectibles. The fair has its origins dating back to 1968 and is a must-visit for antique enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore the Casa Museo Ivan Bruschi, which provides insights into the fair's history.
If you love antiques or street markets or used items or flea markets or vintage...You will enjoy Arezzo's Antique Fair...I have not seen bigger ( for sure there is) but this expands all over the old city of Arezzo. Very entertaining and full of items

Some vendors open at 7, but for others, you may have to wait another hour or two. Take advantage of this time to secure the perfect parking spot, then enjoy a nice coffee break before travelers descend upon the town square! Bring a cart or wagon to help carry your goods up and down the cobbled terrain - your back will thank you. Restaurants are available for al fresco and indoor dining, with many pet friendly facilities too. Prices for everything range from high-low, so bring plenty of cash as not all vendors accept electronic payments.

Every first Sunday of the month. If you’re lucky enough to be anywhere near Arezzo you HAVE TO GO!!! It’s amazing! Don’t expect the stalls to be cheap, this is an antique fair, not a flea market. It’s amazing, and it takes over a huge area of the city, it’s perfect for wandering around, take the day to do the market, don’t rush it. The fashion of some of the people there was amazing! People were friendly and you’ll find all sorts of treasure, but thats Arezzo all over, it’s so friendly. The only thing you’ll regret? You didn’t bring a bigger van or more money. It gets incredibly busy, and it isn’t the easiest to navigate with a pram, but it’s worth it. This is a MUST SEE!

What you need to do is plan your Italian trip around this Antique Fair. Every first Sunday, of the month and the Saturday before. It is a must. The goods are outstanding quality and a huge variety. We did not even have time to visit the monuments and churches. Go early, parking in the city fills up quickly.

Best Antique Market I have seen in my life. Many unique things here. I didn't think I can buy anything here but I bought a lot of posters from the previous time! So lucky to have come to Arezzo on the first Sunday of the month!

Incredible overnight transformation. We visited the Piazza Grande yesterday it was so quiet, and then came back today. The streets are alive. There are stalls everywhere, filled with a fascinating variety of items for sale. The small laneways and street are packed with people, bringing the city to life.

It's OK. A lot of new things made to look old. The actual vintage stuff was expensive. A lot of things were like double the price I see at other antique markets. Lots of jewelry. The town is cute, though. If you are in the area, check it out, but if it's more than an hour drive, I'd pass on it.

His writings, his portraits, the environment all refer to a past of a great rebirth. Petrarch was in fact the one who more than anyone embodied the transition period between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. (Original) Nel pieno del centro storico di Arezzo (che già di per se trasmette un'atmosfera rinascimentale ) c'è la casa natale del sommo poeta Francesco Petrarca. (Translated by Google) The girl's friendliness was absolutely zero! Let me start by saying that when we arrived at the house, the front door was open, as the opening hours rightly state, but the inside doors were locked! I tried calling the number on the poster, obviously giving a nonexistent number. We waited there to see if it was actually supposed to be open or not! A good 15 minutes later, a girl opened a door; she was obviously at lunch or something! But the best part was that she didn't even apologize, nor did she put up a "Be right back" sign or any other reason to explain her absence. So, on that front, I'd say it was terrible! On the other hand, the house only had two rooms with lots of books on them, and that was it. I was expecting a tour of the house, etc.

A hidden gem. Benedictine church built in the 13th century together with the monastery, now used as a school. Divided into three naves. In the presbytery we find the main altar with: Vocation of SS. Peter, Andrew, James and John by Giorgio Vasari. Above the famous fake dome by Andrea Pozzo, artist and Jesuit father, with its optical illusion (1702), because it is flat, the surprise is if you stand towards the right column and observing the dome, you move to the left, you see that the dome rotates on itself and tilts. His works in perspective are to be admired. Then we find the Grand Crucifix on wood by Segna di Bonaventura, made around 1319. Wooden crucifix by Baccio da Montelupo on the right wall of the church, a valuable work from 1504. The altarpiece Assumption and Coronation of the Virgin by Giorgio Vasari, also known as the Albergotti Altarpiece 1566. Madonna with Child and SS. Mauro, Lucia and Luigi IX by Bernardino Santi 17th century Mystic Marriage of Saint Catherine by Teofilo Torri in the right transept of the church 1605. San Lorenzo in the counterfaçade, a masterpiece frescoed by Bartolomeo della Gatta in 1476.

Ancient Ruins
The Roman Amphitheatre of Arezzo, located near via Francesco Crispi, is a fascinating historical site that offers a glimpse into the ancient Roman civilization of Arezzo. Once capable of holding around 13,000 people, the amphitheatre now stands as a skeletal remnant of its former grandeur. Visitors can explore the remains and imagine the gladiatorial events and plays that once took place within its walls.
More a museum now, actually a very good one. It shows you a history of Etruscan Arezzo and later of Roman Arezzo. How the first monopoly industry started in Arezzo and went all around the Roman empire. What I loved the most are 500BC Etruscan earings. Amazing details so long ago. And outside is a amphitheatre that was later transformed to monastery. Did the monks know what happened here?🤣🤣🤣

Very friendly staff and LOTS of pottery. I came away wanting to know more about the history: what kind of political structure di Etruscsans have; where was their capitol, if they had one?; when were they conquered by the Romans?; how did the Roman-Etruscan relationship differ from the Roman-Cathage?; we learn that Etruscans used the Greek alphabet but that the language itself did not have Indo-European roots, so what are examples of how the language diverges from I-E patterns?; where did the Etruscans come from and/or where did their language come from, if we know?; and so forth

This quaint gem in the heart of Arezzo simply exudes charm — but what truly made the evening unforgettable were the three wonderful ladies who welcomed us with such warmth and care. Even on a busy evening, they were attentive, kind, and genuinely made us feel special. A heartfelt shout-out to Katia, whose thoughtful service and gracious presence elevated our experience even more! As for the food — absolutely divine. We each ordered different varieties of tortelli, lamb and berry reduction, pumpkin with guanciale and asparagus ricotta, and every bite was a delight. The pork rib we shared at the end was the perfect finish — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The setting couldn’t have been better. We chose to sit outside on a warm summer evening, watching the world stroll by as we savored each course. It all came together to create a truly magical evening. Highly recommended — a must if you’re in Arezzo!

I had heard rave reviews about this place from my students. I asked for a table with my friend at 7:02 when they opened at 7 and was declined. I was told to wait 10 more minutes, which I accepted. A line started forming behind us, and another worker begrudgingly seated us. I felt like I was doing the servers a disservice by being there. I got the pumpkin ravioli dish; it was decent. The tiramisu was runny, overly wet, and lacking flavor.

We found this place while roaming around Arezzo centro, we liked how the ambience was chill and all the ladies serving are kind and attentive. I had the ravioli alla carbonara which was really good, and my husband had the trippa aretina which according to him was the best trippa that he had, it wasn’t like any other trippa that has that weird taste. The price and quality ratio is excellent. We were in a hurry and wanted a quick lunch, but next time we will try more of their dishes.

Lovely place near the center, with delicious food and great service/atmosphere. Highly recommended. The star of the menu are the Tortelli, of course. Lots of awesome flavours available but I went for the vegetarian option: burrata-stuffed with a vegetable sauce. They were delicious, with a very delicate taste. The service is great too: everyone on staff was quick, nice, and super professional. Kudos to everyone! The owner shared she prefers working with local and lesser-known brands (was talking about wines) and i think it’s a great approach, more restaurants should do the same and support other local small businesses. 👍👍👍 Overall I had a wonderful dining experience and can’t recommend this place enough.

Located in the heart of the city, Le Chiavi D'Oro ristorante offers a blend of tradition and modernity in its cuisine, influenced by the family's trattoria roots. We had incredible time at this amazing restaurant! Service was excellent and food was magnificent! I had the best lobster pasta. Highly recommend to visit and experience this amazing food. We will definitely come back there. For me this restaurant is incredible discovery ☺️

Visiting Arezzo, we had dinner at Le Chiavi d’Oro and its been an extremely pleasant experience. The decor is modern but - somehow - integrates well in a Medieval town. Food is traditional with some twists that add a pleasant surprise to taste without exceeding the borders of experimentation. Three courses dinner for 2 people (one glass on fine red wine) 100€ which is absolutely in line with the quality. Definitely a place where to stop by. We'll be back once in Arezzo again

We had a truly wonderful meal here, the food was sublime, high end cooking, packed full of flavour and innovative in its combinations, I had the tongue starter and guinea fowl Secondi and would highly recommend both. Service was impeccable on what was a busy weekend evening, charming, helpful and knowledgeable when answering our various questions, especially as to wine choices. A not so hidden gem which I shall be recommending to anyone that will listen. A great night out.

We keep comparing other restaurants in Italy to our lunch here and Le Chiavi D’Oro consistently wins. Flavorful, inventive dishes, great wine cellar, elegant space, and friendly service, all without Michelin-style pretentiousness. Recommend to anyone looking for a special meal in Arezzo.

One of the best restaurants in Arezzo, by far! In a historical and central location (Piazza San Francesco), I found the restaurant cozy and elegant. Waiters were welcoming and took care of choosing our aperitifs. They also suggested few off-menu dishes that were, indeed, absolutely worth it. The food was delicious and elegantly presented. In general a really pleasant experience!

*A Culinary Masterpiece in the Heart of Arezzo* We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Chiavi D'Oro in Arezzo, Italy. Recommended by our rental host Roberta. For my special Birthday. I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The moment we stepped into this elegant restaurant, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a truly exceptional meal. Greeted by one of the owners and two staff members. Family owned and operated. So special. *A Symphony of Flavors* The service was impeccable, with our server attentive, knowledgeable, and happy to guide us through the menu. The dishes we ordered were nothing short of culinary masterpieces. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, textures, and presentation that left us in awe. *Standout Dishes* Each of the dishes were cooked to perfection, with the pasta being a particular highlight. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portion sizes were generous. Which continued throughout our selections. To include their recommendations of wine and desert. *Ambiance and Service* The ambiance was elegant and refined, with a warm and inviting decor that made us feel like we were dining in a luxurious setting. The service was top-notch, with our server and owner providing attentive and knowledgeable service throughout the meal. *A Truly Exceptional Experience* In short, Le Chiavi D'Oro is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Arezzo. The combination of exceptional service, stunning ambiance, and truly outstanding cuisine makes for a dining experience that will leave you with lifelong memories. We can't wait to return and indulge in another culinary masterpiece. *Rating: 5/5 stars* *Recommendation:* Don't miss the opportunity to dine at Le Chiavi D'Oro. Book your table well in advance and be prepared for an unforgettable culinary experience.

A Memorable Dinner in Piazza San Francesco We had dinner here while staying in Arezzo, following a recommendation from our Airbnb host. Outdoor seating wasn’t available, but we were seated inside right away. The space was elegant—warm lighting, beautiful details, and a calm, refined atmosphere. At first, we weren’t sure if it would be the right fit since we were with our young son and teenagers, and the restaurant is Michelin-rated. But we stayed, and we’re so glad we did. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and helpful in walking us through the menu. It’s divided into three sections, and they suggest two dishes per person. Only my husband followed that, starting with the steak tartare, which was excellent. We all had pasta dishes, and every one was incredible. I had the duck tagliatelle with ragù—delectable and made with rich precision. The flavors were deep and comforting. Our vegetarian guest had the ravioli and savored every bite. Each dish felt intentional and beautifully prepared, without being overdone. It was a quiet, elegant dinner. If you’re looking for more of a lively scene, the patio might be better. But if you want a relaxed, elevated evening with thoughtful food and a great bottle of wine, dining inside is a perfect choice. Highly recommend.

The Gāius Cilnius Mæcēnās National Archæological Museum, located in Arezzo, Tuscany, is a significant repository of Etruscan and Roman artifacts. I didn’t expect much from this museum. But wow was it worth it. Impressive collection with true masterpieces. Kind personnel. Definitely worth a visit.

To be honest I came here only because it was the forth museum in my complex ticket))) But wow, it's really interesting museum even for a non-specialist. There a lot of Etruscan and Roman artefacts and (as a bonus) some models of Arezzo Chimera (the original one is in Florence)

Awesome museum laid out between two floors of an old monastery, with an even older Roman amphitheatre outside you can walk around in. They have a really cute fictional interactive cat that guides people through which we thought was cool. Loved all the mosaic and old pottery, and so happy to see something focused on Etruscan. We were students so it was only 2 euro each to get in. Workers were all very nice and there were plenty of signs in English, as well as QR codes for online content. They had a small shop you walk through at the front and bathrooms at the back of the building. Highly recommend!
Lauren L — Google review
Interesting museum, built inside a former monastery which in turn was built on top of Roman amphitheatre. You can see half of the remaining Roman ruins in the garden of the museum. Highlights from the collections are the small baby statue which were offered ti the gods for request of fertility, some beautiful roman painted vase and great jewellery. Also very strange Etruscan tools called "graffion" similar to metal hooks we still nowadays don't know the use.
Vincenzo R — Google review
Bigger and better museum than expected. Good insight into prehistoric to Medieval history of the region, highlighting most interestingly the Etruscan era. Beautiful pieces from Etruscan and Roman times. Too bad some of the top pieces from the Arezzo archaeological site are located in Firenze such as the actual Chimaera, but those are replicated here in loving ways.

This is a charity group that was established centuries ago. Now there is museum in their house and you can enter the roof tower with still working clock. Worth it , low entrance fee, just for the view on piazza bellow and town around.
Rok S — Google review
I am reviewing the “astronomical clock” … 3rd edition (4Jun2025)! There is an excellent article on the clock on tourismo.it by Flaminia Sworn, dated 10Jan2019. I will summarise the clock’s features. It was installed in 1552, but the geocentric arrangement is pre-Copernicus (1515), per the prevailing orthodoxy. i.e., the Earth is at the centre, and the Moon is in a closer orbit than the Sun. The Sun hand therefore rotates once every 12 hours, the a.m./ p.m. factor being evident to the observer in the piazza (from the degree of darkness). The Moon hand rotates every 24 hours and 50 minutes, i.e., the moon rises, on average, about 50 minutes later each day. There is, per Sword, a [simple] noon sundial, to make corrections to the clock at the meridian crossing of the Sun and/or Moon. My photo of the sundial was taken at 12:43 (Arezzo longitude is 11.898 E). There are 30 gradations for the days of the month. I expect they have to make manual adjustments for January, February, March, May, July, August, October, and December. This dial rotates with the Moon hand (you can see daylight all around the Moon globe, looking thru the clock mechanism from inside the tower). There is also a minute hand, and the clock chimes each quarter hour. The Moon hand has a clever feature in that the Moon, painted half gold and half black, rotates to reveal the moon phase. N.B. The Moon hand is calibrated so it depicts the Moon as seen from the Northern Hemisphere, looking south. See my photograph, taken in the early evening on the same day. There are several photos on this website already showing a broad view of the clock mechanism. When I photographed the clock this morning (30May2025), and also observed it with my binoculars, the Moon hand and the Sun hand were not correctly positioned (according to my analysis above), but the Moon phase was correct (waxing crescent, see photo taken same day). I suspect they need adjustment. I would be interested in comments on my analysis, or referral to a more detailed analysis than may be available. Fausto Casi (1999)?

Santa Maria delle Grazie is a 14th-century church located in Arezzo, Italy. This Romanesque-style church features a bell tower known as the "one hundred holes" due to its numerous double-lancet windows. The church houses an altar by Andrea della Robbia and is renowned for its Renaissance architecture. It was originally a water fountain consecrated to Apollo and has historical significance dating back to the Etruscan-Roman period.
Fantastic and beautiful church that is very private and in a wonderful location. When you enter, you can feel a real sense of spirituality and artwork is also deeply invoking and beautiful. Huge recommendation for anyone going to Arezzo. While not as big as the church in Milano, it is still worth the detour.
Jacob J — Google review
The Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie in Arezzo has a rich and fascinating history. Originally, the site was home to a sacred spring dedicated to the god Apollo, known for its healing properties. During the Etruscan and Roman periods, this spring attracted worshippers for rituals related to its therapeutic waters. In the early Middle Ages, the spring was called Fonte Tecta and continued to be a significant landmark. However, the arrival of St. Bernardine of Siena in the 15th century marked a turning point. He sought to eliminate the pagan rites associated with the spring and, after some resistance, succeeded in destroying it in 1428. In its place, he built an oratory, which later became a center of devotion. The construction of the current church began in 1435 and was completed around 1444. Designed by Domenico del Fattore, the church features a mix of late Gothic and Renaissance styles. The interior houses valuable works of art, including frescoes by Lorentino d’Andrea and a Renaissance loggia designed by Benedetto da Maiano.
Giuseppe G — Google review
This is an artistic gem. Truly a rare beautiful and peaceful place on the outskirts of Arezzo. The artwork invites you to contemplate spirituality, it is easy to get here and you don’t want your leave. Enjoy the park and wander around.

Santa Maria delle Grazie is indeed located in Arezzo, not Milan. This church, although not as famous as its namesake in Milan, is still a significant landmark in Arezzo. It features stunning Renaissance architecture and artwork, including frescoes by Piero della Francesca, a renowned Italian Renaissance artist. The church offers visitors a chance to admire these masterpieces in a serene and historic setting, away from the bustling tourist crowds. Exploring Santa Maria delle Grazie provides a glimpse into Arezzo's rich cultural heritage and artistic legacy.

You need to eat here, it will not disappoint! Welcoming from the start, no issue that I was a single diner despite this being antiques market day, and exemplary service. The pasta dish I ordered from the full menu was a delight and all the little extra dishes that came throughout the meal made this a wonderful experience. I was aiming to be more adventurous and NOT order tiramisu, but I caved in. I am so glad I changed my mind as I was transported to tiramisu heaven!! Ordered tagliatelle and got tagliata instead. The waiter apologized and offered to fix it, but after waiting more than 45 minutes for our food, sending it back wasn't an option. We just wanted to eat and go on with our day. We the tagliata was with porcini mushrooms, but the mushrooms weren't cleaned properly and were had sand and taste of dirt. Again, with the incredibly long wait times, we just couldn't risk sending it back to the kitchen. To top it all off, when the check came, we were charged for the more expensive tagliata instead of the tagliatelle we ordered. It's really disappointing that a restaurant's mistake would be put on the customer, especially after such a long wait and poorly prepared food. Unfortunately, due to failures on so many levels, I have to give one star.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Parish Church of the Most Holy Annunciation. Not quite as popular as Piazza Grande, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Park
The Fortezza Medicea, a monumental fortress built by the renowned Medici family in the 16th and 17th centuries, is an iconic landmark that dominates the city of Arezzo. This pentagonal-shaped structure with five defensive towers offers visitors a glimpse into its rich history and provides stunning panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. Today, it has been transformed into a public park where visitors can take leisurely strolls and enjoy moments of relaxation while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Just loved “ the FORTRESS” ….so much History & sooooo much old style archecture💥💥💥💥💥

Serves me right to come here on its closed day. Impresive on the outside, built to keep the people of Arezzo in line. They were taken over by Florence. Before that culture and trade blossomed here.

Old Castle with nice view into countryside. Art exhibition availabe.

Interesting fort at the top of town in Arezzo with good views and some information plaques, check whether it's open as it seems to be closed at times for preparation for major events like Christmas.
Michael M — Google review
Interesting visit, though half of the fortress is not accessible. Very quiet (I was completely alone). Ticket office didn't accept student card from cultural university (based on age, though this is specified as a seperate category) - got quite a rude response...
Emma K — Google review
A calm and beautiful place especially at almost closing time. They close at 7 (iRL 640pm) and almost no one here. You pay eight euro and walk into the fort. You climb up the stairs and see circumferential 360° views of the Tuscan countryside. They even have concerts here.

Arezzo is a small town and most of the main visitor sites can be seen in a few days. The highlight for me was the Fortezza Medicea. We visited on the Sunday of the first weekend in July to escape the ' antiques fair' held that expensive weekend (of which the vast majority of stalls sold mostly 'tot' ). We mostly had the site to ourselves. The mainer reason for visiting is the glorious views over the town and the hilly countryside. A slow walk around the walls is relaxing and the site is not too expensive to enter. You can walk through the inside of some of the walls to cool down afterwards. The Fortezza is accessed through Parco Il Prato a largish park that was being set up for their summer festival. It was a good (if slightly expensive cafe) to sit and enjoy a cappuccino and after the visit.
Larry D — Google review
Complete rip-off, total waste of money. Charged 8 Euro per person to walk on the walls for 10 minutes. All the paths inside are closed and there's virtually nothing to see or explore. Tiny bronze statue gallery included.

(Translated by Google) Visiting the Church of the Santissima Annunziata in Arezzo is an experience that is striking for its intensity and beauty, where art and spirituality meet in an atmosphere of profound tranquility. The building was built starting in 1491 to commemorate the miracle of the Madonna delle Lacrime, a statue attributed to Michele da Firenze, who, according to legend, shed tears in front of a pilgrim in 1490. This event, so full of mystery and faith, still seems palpable within the walls of the church. Inside, the gaze is immediately captured by masterpieces that embellish every corner. The fresco with the Annunciation by Spinello Aretino, dating back to 1370, exudes a sweetness that transports the visitor back in time. The stained glass windows, created by Guillaume de Marcillat, add a magical touch, filtering the light in a play of reflections that envelops the sacred space in a unique aura. Each work seems to tell a story. The Adoration of the Shepherds by Niccolò Soggi and the Virgin Appearing to Saint Francis by Pietro da Cortona stand out, masterpieces that convey a sense of intimate devotion. And finally, one cannot help but be struck by Giorgio Vasari's youthful Deposition, which gives a final touch of grandeur to this enchanting place. In short, the Santissima Annunziata is more than just a church: it is an emotional journey through centuries of art and faith, where every detail invites deep reflection.
Ivano S — Google review
(Translated by Google) In the early afternoon the lights are barely pronounced and the church of the Santissima Annunziata is opened to the faithful or visitors. It is the right moment to gather in total solitude in prayer or to visit the works of art scattered in the two side naves and in the presbytery. There is no one there yet and the traveler has the opportunity to stop at two of the greatest masterpieces of this Renaissance church: the deposition by Vasari and the ecstasy of Saint Francis by Berrettini. In the deposition, Vasari summarizes his pictorial creed on canvas, made up of color and figurative form that must attract the beholder and strike him in the soul. The absence of movement and a certain static quality of the composition constitute the limit of Vasari's work which is however overcome in the landscape that can be glimpsed on the horizon, perhaps intended to represent an Arezzo sunrise. The work of Berrettini da Cortona constitutes the maximum synthesis of baroque stylistic perfection with the presence of light that illuminates the Madonna with child seated in a bundle of clouds and Saint Francis who in an ecstatic position on a dark earthly level welcomes them mystically. The nativity by Saggi together with the terracottas by Agnolo di Polo depicting the Virgin with child and saints, the annunciation by Rossellino, a fourteenth-century crucifix from the Sienese school and other works of high artistic value, constitute moments of indispensable aesthetic suspension.

The Teatro Petrarca is a beautiful, historic performing arts theater that was constructed in the early 19th century. It is easy to access and well worth a visit for any fan of opera and theatre. (Translated by Google) The idea of building a new theater in Arezzo dates back to 1828, when a group of local notables, eager to bring opera to the city, promoted the construction of a theater to replace the old Teatro della Fenice. The Florentine architect Vittorio Bellini was chosen for the project, and the suitable area was identified among state lands belonging to the Badia. The works began on 5 February 1830 and, after just 235 days, the roofing was completed. The theater opened on 21 April 1833 with Donizetti's opera Anna Bolena. Subsequently, accessory structures were added, such as the ballroom in 1835 and a new entrance building in 1892. The most recent restoration concluded in 2015. The theater has a horseshoe layout with 4 tiers of boxes and can accommodate 518 spectators. This charming villa, with roots tracing back to the 16th century, provides an enchanting backdrop for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can embark on a captivating journey through its lush vineyards and ancient cellars, where they’ll uncover the time-honored winemaking traditions that have been passed down through generations.
We had such a lovely and fun experience at Villa La Ripa winery. They accommodated us same day without issue, welcomed us in the car park, and were genuinely happy to have us. We visited in the winter and had the entire place to ourselves, truly a personal experience. Our guide, Livia, was amazing! She was super knowledgeable, friendly, and showed us such a great time. She loved our questions and always had a great story to share about the wines, the history of the villa, and even her own personal experiences. We loved it. To top it off, the wines were incredible - we loved every single one. We will absolutely return and recommend Villa La Ripa to all of our friends and family visiting in the future.

Visiting this winery was truly an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere was serene and idyllic, with a beautifully set table overlooking the vineyards — the perfect setting for a very special moment in our lives. A heartfelt thank you to Virginia and Valentina, who helped me plan and gave me inspiration for how and where to make the occasion truly meaningful. And a very special thanks to Marius, the perfect host, who went above and beyond in every detail – even adding a personal touch with a chandelier from his grandmother’s home. His care and thoughtfulness made the experience extraordinary. The wines were simply outstanding. We enjoyed a wonderful selection: elegant reds, a fresh white, and a sparkling rosé. Each wine was exceptional, and perfectly paired with the meal. One highlight was Psycho — a beautiful red blend and a heartfelt tribute by the owner to his patients. Truly one of the most memorable glasses of wine I’ve ever had. This winery is not only about excellent wines, but also about people who pour genuine passion and hospitality into everything they do. I can only give my highest recommendation.

Butcher shop
Porcavacca is a hidden gem in Arezzo, away from the touristy areas and tucked in a local neighborhood. The restaurant boasts a beautiful large terrace that is perfect for filmmakers looking for an authentic Italian backdrop. Visitors have raved about the perfectly rare sliced steak with arugula and grana, as well as the delightful chianina burgers. The wine pairing is described as simple yet optimal, and the duck Bolognese has been praised as magnificent.

“From Butcher Shop Straight to the Table – Unfortunately Without the Detour Through the grill” We chose this restaurant with great anticipation, after all, a butcher shop with a restaurant sounds like pure carnivore heaven! Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be more of a case study in how to scare off diners. The welcome? Well… if a distant, emotionless nod counts as “warm,” then yes, we instantly felt like old friends. The waiter gave off the vibe of someone who had a thousand places he’d rather be, and made sure we could feel that existential crisis in every interaction. Stressed, checked out, and about as interested in us as a cat is in salad. When ordering, the first surprise: the question of how we’d like our steak cooked was never asked. When I politely inquired if I could have it medium, the answer was: “We always do it our way.” Wow! Finally, a restaurant that relieves me of the heavy burden of having my own opinion. The result: a steak that was supposedly medium rare, but in my eyes was closer to still mooing. Presentation? Also a highlight. The prized Bistecca wasn’t placed in the middle of the table, but rather plonked down at the very edge, as if the waiter himself was embarrassed to serve it. Later, when he asked how it was and we explained it was far too raw for us, his reaction was a disinterested “ah”, delivered with the same enthusiasm as someone listening to a weather report. And then? He simply walked away. No concern, no offer, no nothing. Conclusion: If you’ve ever wanted to feel like an unwelcome guest at your own dinner, this is the place. Steak: top. Service: flop. Or to put it differently: in this butcher shop, it’s not just the meat that gets slaughtered.

We came here very excited to try the famed fiorentina. Unfortunately, man in the picture is extremely anti-American. He told me the steak would cost 500 euros. We attempted to clarify several times, even using Google Translate, because it said 50 euro/kg on the menu and we were not asking for a 10kg steak. He insisted that the fillet was the right amount of meat for my table. In total, we ordered a bottle of wine, the Tuscan sampler antipasto, the duck ragu, and the fillet. The wine and the sampler came right away, but 90 minutes later literally every table around us was eating fiorentina (some tables had 2 or 3 of them) and we still didn’t have even the pasta. We ended up closing our tab early and leaving. This place has a great reputation and it looked like you would get wonderful service if you are anything other than American.

When we walked up to the empty restaurant and asked the waitress if they had a table for 4, she said "I'll go ask" but then wandered off to set tables and polish wine glasses without asking anyone anything. This kind of set the tone for the evening. Eventually an older man saw us just standing there and gave us a table. The food (schlepped to the outside area from the actual restaurant by a man with a giant very heavy looking tray) was very average. My daughter had tortelli with truffles and they were just tortelli with a bunch of cream dumped on top and some truffle shavings. I had baby back ribs that were extremely salty and too dry. My husband's hamburger was ok but the bun was slightly stale. Service was purfunctory, prices relatively high and music kind of irritating.

My wife and I enjoyed the sliced steak with arugala and shavings of grana. The meat was served perfectly rare as our second course after we shared a dish of ravioli. Tuscan restaurant
La Torre Di Gnicche is a charming wine bar and eatery located near Piazza Grande in Arezzo. The restaurant offers a selection of over 700 wine labels to accompany its seasonal traditional dishes, such as porcini mushroom soup and salt-cod stew. Housed in a historic building with panoramic views of Arezzo's medieval skyline, the restaurant specializes in modern Tuscan cuisine, featuring dishes like pici pasta with wild boar ragu and Chianina beef steak.
Lovely little restaurant with real Tuscan food. All the food is locally sourced and often organic. They have an amazing selection of local extra vergine olive oils you can try! The restaurant itself is a beautifully renovated building, and the atmosphere is great. We are both vegetarians and while there was a lot of meat on the menu, for us there were enough options to be able to eat vegetarian easily.

Wine lover's heaven! They have a huge selection of wines and crazy vintages. The food is rustic and pure. Definitely recxomend this place if you are into wine!

This was our fourth visit to this restaurant, and, a great experience. Home style Toscan meal with outstanding wine selection. Reasonably priced, a bit on the slow service, but helpful and accommodating

The only place in Arezzo to be recommended in the Osterie d'Italia, and it certainly deserves to be there. The wine list is phenomenal: as many have said, some incredible wines available by the glass. They will also pour very good, inexpensive local wines--just ask for a recommendation. The food is simple and casual. If you're in Arezzo, pay them a visit!

The place where the wine selection is exceptional. If you have an idea what you looking for the owner, so nice Lady, will find it for you. Just let her decide, she perfectly knows her storage. We tried it 2 times, day by day and each time were just amazing. Prices are ok. You can have wine for 15 or 250 eu. Just ask. Food is just matching the wines.

Italian restaurant
Essenza Dario e Anna - dal 1964 is a renowned restaurant in Arezzo, continuing a family tradition that began as a rotisserie and evolved into a restaurant under the guidance of chef Luca Scoscini. The menu features classic Tuscan cuisine with an innovative twist, using locally sourced organic ingredients and emphasizing raw food. Guests can expect an ever-changing selection of dishes, including tagliolini pasta with white truffles and the famous bistecca alla Fiorentina.
We wanted to stop to have a quick bite, and we chose this restaurant in the Piazza Grande. Everything was excellent. The food was magnificent. We had Ravioli with Porcini and Ossobuco. Extraordinary! It's such an amazing restaurant! The staff was so friendly and fun. Definitely a must!

Just, to die for. What a meal! The Tagliolini with Local Truffle? OMG! Aurora’s service was warm, crisp & perfection. My daughter eats vegan & said it was outstanding! Well done!

Went for a Bistecca alla Fiorentina and it was an amazing experience! From order to finish I felt like in a very luxurious place! Stuff was very professional, explained everything well. The food was amazing! I heard that they have the best steaks in Arezzo and I think that it is true!

Superb lunch experience. Pappardelle ragu with boar was presented very well and tasted great. Wine suggestions were perfect. Sitting outside with a view of the square makes the entire experience very "Italian". The staff was great and the older waiter was hilarious (and truly professional). Might be back for dinner here since the meals I saw all looked great.

We travel to Europe every year. The food in this restaurant is one of best we ever had. I had the five course meat menu, the meat was cooked perfectly. I love porcini mushrooms, pasta cooked just right. It was comparable with the best restaurant in Paris😊

“Welcome to Essenza, enjoy the experience.” And we did. We took the meats tasting 5 course menu, with foie gras, duck, dried ham, Pigeon and many other surprises. Granted this is not a cheap thrill but Chef/Owner Luca and his staff went well out of their way to make this an experience alright. Expect various takes on the same ingredient on your plate, the pigeonbreast prepared with ultrasonic looked red yet was superbly cooked, it’s tiny leg increasingly tasty, and it’s wing topping the dish. The waiters are friendly and not too present, advising you in what order to go through each course to best enjoy. Yes there is some molecular cooking going on, yet -as we love it- one can still see what has been cooked. Still, very interesting takes on dishes you’ve seen elsewhere but not tasted similarly elsewhere. Very surprising. We took some glasses of Champagne which was a wonderful companion. From the terrace we could see the waiters giving guests three wine options to taste, pouring the glass only when ok’d, and not trying to upsell as the price for the glasses was the same. Very clever. Very well executed. With this venue Luca could have gone just for overpriced, as endless tourists would present themselves. Instead he chose the hard way in preparing honest meats into creations that blew our minds in presentation. Some will not like the price this comes with. We’ve had dinners at similar price points and then some, but rarely did they taste so well. Surprising takes in there with courageous approaches, will not reveal it all. Good to see also that the staff was a mix of very experienced elder waiters, flawlessly removing the cap from the wine without turning the label away from the guests, to young and equally proud lads, as well as a very well groomed lady with simple and modest headscarf. Love the inclusion happening there. Just when you think it’s all over, the waiter reminds you not to run away as a surprise is coming still. And wow, again impressed by the take on a dish we thought we knew. Compliments to the staff and to Luca for a wonderful Essenza experience.

It was one of the best experience to taste local flavor in Italy. We tried tasting menu and it was completely worthy. Every dish is delicate and the waiter service is super awesome! They are so friendly and explain each cuisine patiently. We did have a wonderful experience in this restaurant. Highly recommend to visit.
