Fantasy Island is a family-friendly theme park and resort located on the east coast of Lincolnshire, England. The park offers over thirty rides catering to both thrill-seekers and families with little explorers. In addition to the various attractions, including soft play areas and live character shows, Fantasy Island also boasts Europe's largest seven-day market, providing ample shopping opportunities for visitors. This popular attraction in Ingoldmells is known for its unique features that draw numerous visitors each year.
Being a roller-coaster lover, this is a fabulous family place. The rides are great fun although quite pricey if you just want to ride on just a few rides, but you can purchase wrist bands for a considerable saving. What makes this place so unique is apart from many food outlets, there's two markets within the park area selling some really cool stuff at very reasonable prices. Makes for a great day out for everyone young and old

A family favourite that keeps getting better! We have been coming to Fantasy Island since 2008 and for me personally since the late 90s. It has become a family tradition and a place that holds so many great memories for us every year. I have seen the park go from strength to strength through the tough years and the big comeback and one thing has always stayed the same, there is always fun to be had here. The staff really are the heart of Fantasy Island. You can tell they genuinely care about people having a good time and that energy rubs off on everyone around them. The ride line up is fantastic with coasters like Odyssey and Millennium giving the big parks a run for their money, but there is also plenty for families and younger ones too. The entertainment venues are brilliant, the atmosphere is always lively, and the whole place just has that great seaside holiday vibe. The market next door adds to the charm and tradition. You can easily spend a few hours wandering around between rides and there is always something going on, especially around the major holidays and events. Fantasy Island might not have the huge price tag of the big name theme parks, but it has just as much heart if not more. For us it is a mix of nostalgia, fun and great memories that keeps us coming back year after year and long may that continue.

I had a great time here. Lots of rides to go on, waits varied between 10-15 minutes. I liked that the rides last longer than 30 seconds like they do at some theme parks. Loads of places to get a drink & something to eat. Tons of markets to look through as well & plenty of toilets available throughout, it varied whether they were clean or not🤢quite a bit of seating but not many areas that were shaded, so not ideal for hot weather. I liked that you can access your photos by scanning your wrist band after the rides, but we did have some trouble accessing them online. It’s a bit of a faff scanning your wrist bands right at the entry of rides, this held queues up sometimes. It was nearly £30 per adult for a wrist band to access all rides, so I thought it was good value for money, especially since rides cost between £5-£8 to get on. Odyssey is a must if you’re an adrenaline seeker, I was shaking so bad after it ended😂 Plenty of parking next to Fantasy Island although it said parking all day was £6 or £2 per hour, & we were charged £8. I’d visit again!
Abby — Google review
Great thrill rides and rides for children. Arcade always quiet and wristbands relatively cheap. Do not go on Oblivion if you are prone to headaches because it is a bumpy ride. Excellent food options across the park too. Will be going again!
Tom P — Google review
A small bit enjoyable park. Lots of market stalls, which is unusual to see and not expected. But if you're looking for a bargain with tracksuits, garden ornaments and Bluetooth speakers, you're in for a treat. The rides are very good. Odyssey and millennium especially are great rides. If you're near by pop in.
Peter F — Google review
Very pricey but when they have the stalls on it is great to have a look around. Went on a few rides which were all good even when the weather was a bit dull. It is definitely a great day out for family or even if you want to just have a look around the markets are good and have a lot of variety.

Another great day out had by all in Skegness. Queues got a little busy, but from 5pm onwards was quiet had. Aerate time. We met a worker Chelsea she was so nice and fun around the kids. Defo an asset to the company if you ask me. Great rides and entertainment added in the price
Leighann F — Google review
Queues were stupidly long, don't save the best till last or you may miss it. Kids had a blast I oaid 21 quid to go on one rude in the end so not ideal but next time I won't need a band

Butlins Caravan Village Skegness offers a retro day out for families with attractions like an outdoor funfair and Splash Waterworld. The nearby Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is perfect for nature lovers, offering sightings of shorebirds and breeding waterbirds in the lagoons at Tennyson's Sands. While some visitors feel that the rooms are outdated and in need of refurbishment, others appreciate the convenience of parking outside their caravans and friendly staff on site.
Absolutely perfect holiday for the family. Plenty to do and see. All the events bars restaurants and entertainment are surprisingly extremely close to each other no space wasted. No long and daunting walks from one end to the other with the children looking for the next adventure. Plenty of staff to assist, great food great choice of food and different options with a variety of places to choose when eating. Every restaurant seemed to have sufficient seating and staff. I don't think we was left waiting for any longer than 10 minutes before being tended to. We lost our daughters phone and was amazed when the Butlins staff rang to say that they have not only found the mobile phone also my wife's debit card lol 😂. Which we thought was just somewhere in our apartment. Very hygienic, public toilets and our apartment was spotless when we arrived lol. For our 1st time as a family at Butlins on holiday. I would say a big thank you to the whole experience. We literally put a deposit down for next year when we were half way through the holiday. Me my wife and 2 daughters aged 12 and 4 loved it. Worth a visit, We travelled from Manchester.

We booked a gold caravan, it definitely wasn’t gold - carpet black and stained. Bedding stained. TV not working. But toddlers love caravan holidays so we made the best of it. I’m autistic and had asked for a caravan in a quiet area; which it was, so then I didn’t want to ask for another caravan. It’s lovely and quiet to walk around on a morning and the play area is brand new and really good.

Rooms - this was our third visit and the first time the room was great, the second time it was quite dirty with woodlice and general dirt, this time we upgraded to an apartment and again arrived to a dirty room including a small patch of mould on the wall, a messy sofa, a big stain on the carpet and rubbish including hair clips, a berry bramble and packaging on the floor. We raised this with the team and they did move us to an alternative accomodation which was lovely and clean and much better quality. Service - accomodation team were very helpful with our complaint. The red coats were fabulous very interactive and friendly. Shop staff were hit and miss with the new chopsticks staff being terrible. Just a total lack of professionalism very messy and just messing around. Also staff manager in the chicken restaurant was just coming across very intense and serious/stressy. Activities and price was great. Lots to do on site for different ages, great photo opportunities etc. Only downfall would say the shows aimed at young children i.e. snow white etc were way too loud for young children so we had to leave which was disappointing. Other than that lots to do and facilities on site. Lots to do location wise with the market, aquarium and other things in skegness.

We stayed here a couple of nights for the Butlins weekender, the caravans are lovely and quiet and only a 15 minute walk from the main area. The caravans are well equipped and reasonably modern - the main issue was how uncomfortable the beds are. Unbelievably uncomfortable both the twin and doubles.
Chris S — Google review
We did enjoy our holiday, however the chalets we booked were very tired and not very clean. Tried to upgrade but nothing available. Ate out a few times and the food was OK. Entertainment was pretty good and lots for the grand kids to do so worth the journey down from Scotland for that alone. The bars are very busy at night and understaffed so long queues for over priced drinks. I used to go regularly with my own kids and I do think it has got a bit run down. Some investment needed to upgrade it all We have booked again for next year but have chosen better accommodation. The kids loved it so that's the reason for going back.

The lodges are really nice to stay in. Master bedroom huge and en-suite. Dishwasher included. Site that bit quieter than our usual seaside 2-bedroomed apartment and we all preferred it.
Jo S — Google review
Stayed in the maple walk lodges they are great. Plenty of space. Try to select one with a south facing decking area as they can be cold in the shade.

Lovely place, but the apartment was not very clean, we had to clean the shower before we used it, cups dirty, the fan was full of dust, and mucky hand prints on the windows...but otherwise we had a great time

Me and my partner came for the bang fface weekend and our first time at a butlins. I never got to experience a butlins weekend cuz I was privileged enough as a kid to travel to different countries. But I literally rang my mum after the first night and told her that why would you ever deprive me of a buttlins weekend experience. We had nothing but a lovely time the staff and everybody was helpful. Everything was amazing. The accommodation was sound and clean and everyone that helps make Butlins an unforgettable experience like you guys make a dream come true. Much love and thank you again. We'll be back again next year. Till then take it easy and much love. And also massive shout out to the security. They was a Vibe and super helpful and super lovely and it was nice to see them having a nice time as well as the people that were there to actually enjoy the weekend

Butlins Skegness is a great place started going each year after lockdown but over the years I can see the comfort rooms are becoming outdated with the lack of maintenance and poor cleanliness throughout the accommodation. The shows you can go watch throughout the day/night are brilliant along with the pool arcades and fairground rides. Only ever eaten at the Ranch family of 5 with 2 kids eating for £1 still cost in excess of £90 but the food was excellent and service was perfect. Overall the location was great, service was ok but rooms were battered worn and dirty looking probably all down the the adult weekenders. Tv reception was ok whereas the wifi was horrendously slow but an option to pay extra for a faster download speed.

Butlin’s Skegness Holiday Park is a fantastic family destination offering a great mix of fun, entertainment, and relaxation. The site is clean, well-organized, and full of activities for all ages — from the swimming pools and fairground rides to the live shows and arcades. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable. Accommodation is comfortable and well-equipped, and there are plenty of dining options to suit every taste. Overall, it’s a lively, family-friendly getaway that offers great value for money and lots of memorable moments. Will definitely be back for another visit.

There was an issue when we arrived as one of our party forgot their passport. This person had a stroke a few years ago and struggles to process information. The staff were not helpful and the customer services was absolutely shocking when we rang on the phone. They did not help in any way. We travelled 4 hours from Liverpool, they were not sympathetic at all it was like they had a heart that was made of stone. We managed to face time a family member who had the passport but they wouldn't accept it over FaceTime as it need to be a picture. It felt like we were left to find out own solution and when we did it wasn't good enough. The rooms were lovely and clean. We had a kitchen which really helped with the cost as we could cook out own food. The big weekend was really fun and the atmosphere was great.
Gabriele C — Google review
I'll start with the bad points, first the location isnt great (getting here is a painstakingly slow drive along narrow, slow roads - last 30miles took over an hour). Lots of other guests are generally inconsiderate people, by that I mean there was an awful lot of loud swearing and inappropriate language everywhere in front of small kids. There were also so many smokers smoking everywhere, a complete disregard (and non enforcement) for use of smoking areas. Someone was even smoking at 4am right outside my room so inside our apartment was filled with the smell of smoke. Food outlet choice isn't the best unless you enjoy chips with almost everything. Apartments are small, dirty, old, tired & broken, and the hot water tap is dangerously hot, especially for kids. On several occasions I noticed small groups of teenagers smoking weed (you can smell it) around the apartments, not that I care about drug taking but we were there on a family week, not an adults only weekender. Good points, lots of entertainment included, and great if you like loud, brash, in your face, get involved, Saturday night family TV show type entertainment. The shows are well put together... The singing and dancing crew are pretty good and clearly spend a lot of time putting together an entertaining show. The pool is great, lots of waterslides, a good small kiddies area, a well sized deep pool, a wave pool and a lazy river; what more could you ask for... Plus the lifeguards are on the ball. The free fairground is a nice touch too, although a lot of rides were broken down or simply not operating when we were there. Between eating, going to the pool, and watching shows there's paid activities or several huge arcade areas, obviously all the kids love the arcades and sink an endless stream of 2p's and pound coins in return for some tickets that can be traded for a handful of tat from the likes of Poundland. It's quitessentially British, it's low cost (till you get near the arcades, bars, or food outlets), it's in your face, and the kids seem to love it. Personally it's not my scene but my kids love going, so I go for them!

We recently stayed at Butlin’s Skegness with 3 adults and 3 children, and overall had a lovely family break. The accommodation was okay — clean and comfortable, though nothing particularly special. However, the real highlight was the site itself! The children absolutely loved it and were never short of things to do. There were plenty of activities, entertainment, and play areas to keep them busy and happy throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere around the resort was fun and lively. A great place for families looking for an easy, activity-filled holiday — especially if you’ve got little ones who love to be on the go!

Very good place , rooms are big but slightly old and no housekeeping services ,still you have a dishwasher ,fridge and oven . The department also comes with iron bord . It is clean and no bed bugs . Most of the rides are not working so it's slightly pooring for teenagers and young adults. However ، many showes and activities for kids (5-10 years old). The watersplash and the arcade areas are great. Nice access to the beach, better to book during summer time to enjoy it.. overall it was good and lots of activities for young kids ..
Sally A — Google review
We booked a premium lodge in Maple Walk and to be fair, it was fine, mostly clean and comfortable, although plastic covered mattresses for all was not great! As for the rest of it, shocking! Splashworld, changing rooms disgusting with blobs of chewing gum everywhere and a cigarette butt in the pool, however this is down to disgusting people with disgusting habits! Indoor soft play poor and in spite of a member of staff being in the area, one of our girls came back with red marks all over arms from a few badly behaved boys! . Shows appalling, arcades horrible and noisy. Fairground pathetic. Skypark was great, best part of the whole complex. People smoking and drinking everywhere. The food outlets are just horrible! We went off site for decent food. Service surly and poor. Thank goodness it’s over!!

Parkdean Resorts Southview Holiday Park in Skegness is a laid-back accommodation option within a holiday park, offering various amenities such as dining options, a golf course, a pool, and two fishing lakes. Situated in the popular seaside town of Skegness, the park provides easy access to the town's attractions and is just a short walk from the golden sandy beach. The property has been recently updated with new entertainment venues and family-friendly dining options.
Just returned from a lovely midweek break. We went all inclusive which is a new concept which we loved not having to worry about food or cooking. The meals were lovely plenty of choice. The caravan was spotless. Will definitely be returning.
Jo K — Google review
We spent 11 nights at Southview, and had a lovely stay for the most part. The staff (particularly reception and security) were very friendly, the location itself is lovely with hundreds of geese and ducks occupying a seemingly endless amount of ponds and lakes. The on-site restaurant (the Boathouse) was also outstanding if a tad expensive, while the showbar was also decent, although the entertainment was a bit hit and miss. The on-stage staff were amusing but I can’t help thinking that a jazz night isn’t going to be many people’s cup of tea! Now onto the main point that let us down: cleanliness. While the park itself was fine, our caravan was filled with rubbish, including a discarded nappy and toothbrush in one of the wardrobes (thankfully the nappy was unused but that isn’t the point). There was also dust practically everywhere, far too much for this to be a one-off. The kitchen bin also was also incredibly unclean, sticky and attracting a lot of flies. In addition to this, someone decided that storing a used dustpan in with kitchen utensils is hygienic. On the last day, as we were packing up to leave, we also spotted a rat darting out from underneath the caravan. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very nice park and we had a good time, but Parkdean seriously needs to improve accommodation cleanliness at this site. And yes, I did inform a member of staff about the issues, yet nothing was done about it.
Shane W — Google review
On arrival we thought wow it looked amazing but as we entered the showbar the steps where covered in rubbish and there was loads of blue bottles going through door and in toilets. Ever toilet had loads of them flying around. Doors hanging off no locks in some of the toilets or frames hanging off. We went to reception and we arrived abit earlier than expected and asked if we could change the time of our golf to be told by a very rude member of staff you have to go to the swimming pool like we knew that. We went to pool which was closed but the guy came out and helped us there was 9 of us playing but they only had 7 clubs and 6 balls so we had to share he also told us that there was issues on number 4 so not to go through as balls would get lost but actually it was also number 2 so then we where down to 5 balls and by the time we got to 9 only 5 people could play as all balls where lost ( should be shut until all rocks are cleared from tubes) and not charging for it. We got our keys to the caravan and my one was nice apart from a few issues like tv off wall so cable was hanging out and holes in door but we thought we can handle that, but my sister caravan wasnt what she was expecting and it was very dirty apart from the toaster. They couldnt find the control for tv then found it down couch covered in crumbs and was very sticky. There was a stain on one of the beds which you can understand that could happen but after a few days the yellow stain started seeping through the bed sheets and onto the pillows and it smelt disgusting and wet. We did go to the reception and spoke to Nathan who was helpful and said he would get someone to sort bed and contact my sister and that was at 10am by 3 no one had been in contact so my sister had to contact them again to be told that it hadn't even been dealt with which is terrible. Whilst we where talking to Nathan the colleague beside him rolled there eyes at us and that was the same person we had a issue with at the beginning We found alot of staff unhelpful and rude even getting drinks they didn't give us glasses so when we asked we got huffs and it was like they couldnt be bothered. Alot of things shut early or didn't even open (like scoops even though we asked and where told it would open at 5 but never did) we where just told its cause it quiet but that's not our fault we paid good money to come and stay at the park and to be honest the same amount as peak . We have been coming to parkdean for over 20 years and never had any issues until now. On a good point the food was lovely and the lady that served us was always lovely and very helpful and the young lad that did the high ropes on Thursdays at 2 with us was very kind and funny too as there was 5 of us doing it. My nephew posted and just got a bog standard reply and also my sister did aswell.so not even taking there reviews seriously. We will not be back to this park for all the above reason the place was stuck in a time warp and needs alot of work to get it up to the standard of all the other parkdean parks we have been too. Very disappointing
Annmarie M — Google review
From the get go, pulling into the park everything looked great, after collecting our keys from reception we headed to our caravan, upon arriving at the caravan it was very much below par to what the pictures made us believe we were getting, now whilst I understand that the caravans are meant to be cleaned before the next people, all the surfaces were black with dirt (which we had to clean ourselves) the couch was dirty and stained, it smelt and there was flies everywhere. I understand that this is a pet friendly caravan but that doesn’t leave any exceptions for leaving it disgusting. As well as this we have recently just uncovered another issue, we like to bring our own bedsheets to put on the bed just due to some previous negative experiences, there was a stain on the bed which we are aware can happen and thought nothing of it, however after one night of sleeping on it we noticed an unusual cheesy smell, once again we didn’t think too much of it at first until a couple days went past and we realised it wasn’t going away and the stain a seeped through the sheets to what we can on explain must be mouldy milk or something, we are having to sleep on the couch which we are too afraid to pull out due to the already dirty nature of the caravan. We would’ve loved to have mentioned this to reception earlier in the day but the reoccurring theme of because it’s not busy we have closed early keeps coming up, whether it’s the arcades closing before 9:30 or being told that some of the food vans like scoops will be open after 5 only to go all the way to the other side of the park and it be closed, in addition to this most (not all) of the staff seem like they don’t want to be here and are quite arrogant, like asking for help because a machine had swallowed money and they shake their heads and tut or when we ordered drinks and they came over and told us that one of the drinks couldn’t be made as they didn’t have the stuff for it, I asked if I could just swap my order for another one instead, I got a funny look and told I would be refunded which is still yet to happen after 2 days. There’s probably numerous other things to mention that I haven’t and we will be going to reception tomorrow (if it’s not closed early), we are here until Friday and have paid good money to stay here from Monday to Friday and yet I’d happily leave early at this point even though it’s still a six hour journey back home, anything is better than the experience I’ve had here so far

It's a bit of a drive into town/to beach. Staff in chip shop lovely & helpful. Food from there not brilliant. Caravan had lots of flies (as did at least 2 others that I know of). 1 ring of cooker didn't work. Grill pan didn't fit and no shelf so took forever to grill anything. The site is very dark when walking about in the evening. Needs more lights. Lots of cars speeding, despite 10mph speed limit (needs more speed bumps). Lots of open ponds with duck so not safe for younger children.
Maggie S — Google review
We recently stayed in one of the caravans and unfortunately were disappointed with the condition it was in on arrival. It wasn’t very clean, there was a strange smell, and we even had to deal with flies inside, so we ended up giving it a clean ourselves before settling in. On a positive note, the location itself is nice – the caravan overlooked a duck pond, and the holiday park has plenty of activities to keep everyone busy. It’s also only a short drive from the beach, which was really convenient. Overall, while the site itself has a lot to offer, the caravan accommodation definitely needs more attention to cleanliness and upkeep.

Southview Holiday park is 'Parkdeans 2nd largest park. On arriving the Caravan was Spotless & well laid out etc. My 1st morning the Lady who was the Acomadation checker, knocked & asked me about the cleanliness of my hired Caravan & I gave it the Full 5/5 but there was No 🚽 roll, 5 mins later she dropped 1 round. It was a bit of a drive to get to some attractions/places of intrest etc but, it's a Lovely holiday park which is clean/pleasant & Very Helpfull friendly staff & Skegness is next door 🏖 😎.

We visit this park every year and always have a lovely clean and spacious caravan. The site itself is clean and well kept with so much to do you don't have to leave to have a great day and night. The staff are so helpful and friendly and often go above and beyond their duty to ensure everything is perfect for you. One mention goes to Helen – Guest Experience Manager, thank you to her for a great experience.

First time visiting Skegness and it did not disappoint ! Loved it . The weather was beautiful . We visited Buttons pleasure beach , all the staff were super friendly and kind to my young son . Plenty of rides. We had loads of fun . Found it really clean too . Loads to eat and drink . Rides are either token or wristbands which you decide . Loads of machines around to use . The water flume isnt part of it the pleasure beach that's extra payment but we loved it one of favourite rides.
Alexis B — Google review
It was a wonderful experience visiting the buttons pleasure beech. The wrist band for whole day unlimited ride is just for £25. Food options are huge economical and good. My son enjoyed the most. The parking was £8 for whole day.

Great choice of rides, some more terrifying than the others. Great facilities in and nearby and some good food and drink options. Prices are high but expected and the experience is well worth it. Absolutely worth your visit don't listen to the ney sayers!!

I would definitely recommend to everyone, it's lovely , yeah its crowdy but not a lott . Good time to go is in july in hot weather . You can enjoy individual rides but you can also get a band for 25£ for an adult where you can ahow the band and get 5-6 rides unlimited time. Its really fun .
Rupinder K — Google review
For best value for money purchase the wrist bands, you can also buy tokens if you only want to do a few rides. Be prepared to queue if going during half term and on a weekend. Claw machines kept dropping everything that was picked up after a few seconds as it was travelling to the drop area. Purchase food and drink outside as it's alot cheaper or at the end of your day. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves.
Catherine C — Google review
We have passed through this fairground a couple of times on our weekend away at Skegness. We found it pretty good value, with a wristband only costing £25 per person which allows unlimited rides all day. There is a good selection of rides to keep most people happy. There are a few rides on the side which aren't part of the pleasure beach/ wristband scheme, and you could get caught out with having to pay for the go-karts or the "big Ben swing" ride if you are not careful. But it's generally a good value day for the kids. The pier is just next door and the beach is along side the pleasure beach too. There is plenty of parking around the area too
Ed B — Google review
Is is a nice place to take the children and is is not to expensive for the ristbands I believe it was £25 for the day food and drink is ok aswell I will say don't bother trying to win the teddy's you can just buy them and it will work out cheaper the rides are ok with a nice selection for little ones and older kids parking is a nightmare so be prepared to hunt for parking at peak times

Reasonable price and has lots of rides , kids had fun .

Papa John's Pizza is a popular chain that offers a variety of classic and specialty pizzas, along with wings, sides, and desserts. It comes to the rescue at Butlins Skegness where new dining rules have resulted in long wait times at onsite restaurants. Thankfully, Papa John's provides a solution for hungry customers.
Papa John's Pizza saves teatime tonight as Butlins has these new dining rules onsite where we were told that we had a 45 min - 1 hr wait if we wanted to walk in any of the Butlins onsite restaurants! 🤦🏽‍♀️ smh but thank God there's Papa John's at Fantasy Island to feed 4 very hungry guys. We used the JustEat app and ordered × 2 XXL double pepperoni pizzas, ×2 potato tots, ×2 chicken piri piri poppers, cheesey jalapeno poppers all for £52 with an online discount too 💯✔ they were ready fairly quickly and we didn't have long to wait so we'll be ordering again whilst we're here in Butlins Skegness for the next couple days!

Worst pappa John's we have ever had , pizza was so thin and burnt under the bottom , not much toppings or cheese don't bother at this joint the inside is dirty on the floor it needs a good clean and staff needs to be retrained on basic hygiene.
Jamie R — Google review
Hardly any toppings. Really thick, bready crusts with peppery tomato base sauce. I couldn't tell the difference in flavour between our three different pizzas. Ugh.

A Stellar Experience at Papa John's Skegness Butlins: Ian's Exceptional Service Shines Bright Recently, my party of seven had the pleasure of dining at Papa John's restaurant located within Skegness Butlins. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks in large part to our outstanding server, Ian. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated by Ian, whose genuine hospitality immediately set a positive tone for the evening. Throughout the meal, Ian's attentiveness and professionalism were exemplary. He effortlessly balanced attentiveness with a jovial demeanor, ensuring that our dining experience was not only efficient but also incredibly enjoyable. What truly set Ian apart, however, was his undeniable charisma and infectious personality. He engaged with our party with genuine interest, sharing anecdotes and jokes that added an extra layer of warmth to the dining experience. His ability to connect with each member of our group, from the youngest to the oldest, made us feel like valued guests rather than simply customers. In addition to his exceptional service, Ian's efficiency and attention to detail were commendable. Despite the restaurant being busy, he never once faltered in ensuring that our needs were promptly met. Overall, our experience at Papa John's Skegness Butlins exceeded all expectations, thanks in large part to Ian's exemplary service. His dedication, warmth, and professionalism truly elevated our dining experience to a five-star level. Without a doubt, Ian deserves the highest praise for his outstanding contributions to making our evening unforgettable. We look forward to returning to Papa John's in the future, knowing that we'll be in excellent hands with Ian at the helm.

Absolutely fantastic. The BBQ wings are potentially the best wings i have ever eaten in my entire life. The Tater tots are nice as well. Never actually had a pizza from here before but i've heard they're nice and If the Chicken Poppers (They're called something like that) Wings and Tots are lovely I would assume the Pizzas are as well since it's the main focus of the restaurant. Food is quite pricey however i do not mind paying premium prices if i get premium food.

Not great ordered papa John whilst in skeggy on the 50 percent deal for 5 of us supposedly would of been 100 quid cost us 50 with deal. ..hardly any meat and toppings were chucked in middle not spread no care went into this order whatsoever always loved papa John's totally put off now wish if of checked before I left as would of returned it all young kids who were not bothered tbh

I had my order delivered. It didn't turn up that hot like it usually does when ordering. The food it self was nice however because it was on the colder side it made it not as nice as usual. We ordered 2 vegan pizzas and vegan chicken side. They are really nice vegan options

Fast food restaurant
Nestled along the vibrant Grand Parade in Skegness, McDonald's is a beloved fast-food institution that has stood the test of time. This iconic eatery is famous for its mouthwatering burgers and crispy fries, making it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors alike. Whether you're craving a quick bite after a day at the beach or looking to refuel during your adventures, McDonald's offers familiar favorites that satisfy every appetite.
Spur of the moment visit, clean, tidy and the food was served quickly. Not sure how Mac Donald's can justify there high prices. Cheeseburgers were 69p, double cheeseburger 99p now you are taking over 100% increase in prices, £1.39 and £2.29....cafes used to be more expensive, but now they are cheaper than Macdonald's when buying food and drink (with the added bonus of free refills). I hope MacDonalds rethinks its pricing strategy, but based on this store alone, ignoring the prices, then it was a nice friendly restaurant and surprisingly very loud music.
David R — Google review
Outside area is quite dirty. However a lady who was cleaning at the afternoon of 27.04.25 wipe our table fast and good. Food well it's could be better. My Philly cheese was missed cheese sauce. My daughter ordered Chicken mayo burger unfortunately one side of bun was burned to the ground. Not nice experience.

Ordering was simple using one of the order stations, although the one we chose wasn't able to print a receipt to take to collection point. Food prepared quickly and was hot. Staff were not particularly engaging, but it was busy. Didn't use any other facilities inside.

If I could do 0 stars I would. Toilets were absolutely disgusting. The fries were cold. The child's seat was disgusting. And the wall and glass/windows were grim too. Certainly won't go back here.
Claire P — Google review
Absolutely awful restaurant, this is one of the worse macdonalds I've ever been to. There is food on the floor, sauce on the ceiling, the floor looks like its never been moped. The food was awful and cold. I would 100 percent advise everyone and anyone to avoid this place.
Rachael H — Google review
We have called in here several times and the food is consistently poor. Always cold (even by McDonalds standards) and takes ages to be served, even when the place is quiet. The tables and floor are always filthy and I can't even find words to describe the standard of the toilets. Avoid this place if you can. There is another nearby that is cleaner and the food better - sometimes even hot!
Anthony B — Google review
Disabled Toilets doesnt even lock They forgot to give me the fruit bag (who forgets them) FRUIT FLIES IN THE BIN. My partner used the bun to put rubbish in and FRUIT FLIES came out of the bin. A BUNCH OF THEM which has to be a health violation as well as food violation! DO BETTER.

English restaurant
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated at Poppy's Restaurant. The atmosphere exuded a charming vintage charm, which was delightful. The staff members were both affable and professional in their demeanor. My partner, who has celiac disease, opted for the gluten-free all-day breakfast and expressed great satisfaction with her choice. She was especially pleased to discover that they offered gluten-free sausages, an uncommon find in most establishments.
We were on holiday and had spotted this cafe, thought we'd try it for breakfast. It was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite, it was just what the doctor order and now washing up afterwards. We even had a second coffee. Then took sausage sandwich back for the one who was still in bed

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Poppy's as a pit stop on the way from long journey from Butlins to Norfolk, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment I walked in, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. I ordered the All-Day Farmers Breakfast and it was, without a doubt, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection, but the true star of the show was the fried slice. It was absolutely divine - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with flavor. I've had fried slices at countless places, but none have ever come close to this one. The entire experience was fantastic. The service was prompt and cheerful, the food was incredible, and the overall vibe was just wonderful. Poppy's is a gem, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their delicious menu items. If you're looking for a fantastic meal with friendly service, look no further than Poppy's!

Been coming to this restaurant for many years now. Always been satisfied with food , Service and ambiance. Two favourites are farmers breakfast, any time of day and also the chicken, bacon and mushroom pie always on the menu for my friend. Hope to see you there.

We were stopping a short distance from Poppy’s Restaurant and our friends said it was ok. We were very happy with our breakfasts, 2 a day for 4 days. The staff are friendly and helped me to my table as I use a walking stick. Order for our food was taken quickly and our drinks arrived promptly. Our food was quickly delivered to our table. The Breakfast was £6.45 and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

I posted a review on Poppy's about 2 years' ago. I raved about the quality of the food and the excellence of the staff. Since then we've driven the 100 mile round trip about once a month just to eat here. Sadly, those days are over. The place isn't a patch on what it was and is now decidedly ordinary, in a down-market, transport cafe sort of way. The staff are still really superb - welcoming and friendly - but we haven't enjoyed any of the last three meals we've had here. Don't get me wrong, it's still o.k., but it used to be excellent. Now, portion sizes are smaller and much poorer in quality. Poppy's always advertised on the merits of it's 'home-cooked food.' It still is home-cooked, but it's home cooking in a hosehold where evryone is a bad cook! It's edible, but not something you can enjoy! The changes in the kitchen staff have worked badly for Poppy's and I would urge the management to try to get things back as they were. The food simply isn't good enough now! Poppy's has lost us as customers and I'm sure we can't be the only ones.

Upon entering, we were greeted and seated very fast. The place gave off a very classic style cafe, which was great! The staff were very friendly and professional! My wife is coeliac. she ordered the all-day breakfast from the gluten-free menu, which she told me she very much enjoyed! She was thrilled to learn that they had gluten-free saussages as most places do not. I myself ordered the farmers all day breakfast, comprising of 2 eggs, 2 saussages, 2 rashers of bacon, a hash brown, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, a fried slice of bread and 2 slices of fresh bread for dipping, a heafty meal! It was all great! Everything was cooked beautifully, the eggs were perfect! I very much enjoyed my meal here and we would definitely recommend this to anyone with coeliac or anyone just looking for a great meal

Greenacres Bar & Restaurant offers a delightful carvery experience with generous portions of meat, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, and roast potatoes. Guests can help themselves to a variety of vegetables and enjoy flavorful beef gravy. The restaurant also features deals on savory pies served with sides and drinks. While the carvery is highly praised for its delicious offerings, some guests note that the area can get crowded during peak times.
We went here for Sunday lunch. The food was great, lots of meat!very tasty. £8.95 for a carvery!! Brilliant value. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Comfortable seating in a bright airy space. Not all crammed together... and anice atmosphere. Every box ticked ✔️Thank you. We will definitely be returning 😀

Residential Home Food and atmosphere. Went for food, as I didn’t want Skegness’ finest pizza/burger take away. So ordered three steak pies with “creamy mash and this seasons vegetables”. I ended up with a dried out slice of pie, a slab of overcooked smash, and a portion of peas. It’s March, not June/July, I expected carrots and other seasonal vegetables. Not a single vegetable item. The decor reminds me of a residential home, and the name is perfect for this “Greenacres Retirement Home / Greenacres Residential Home”. From old paisley carpet, to lack of waiting staff, and the pastel colours throughout. Dated pictures everywhere, with a tv shoved on a wall to break the monotony of knitting, reading and puzzles. Remember kids, don’t be too loud to disturb the other folk! I’ll give their carvery a miss, in case it’s all overcooked; perfect for those unable to chew.

Been here today for carvery £7.95 you get plenty of meat, Yorkshire pud, stuffing and roast potatoes. Then you help yourself to veg . The gravy had beef in it & was really nice. And u get pudding too. Not a choice really. Apple crumble with custard or ice cream. For the money it was worth a vist.

Me and my family were on holiday and it was my daughters birthday so we were looking for somewhere nice to have a meal to celebrate my daughters birthday, so we tried Greenacres. On arrival we were met by a member of the team who was very friendly as we're all the staff we were made very welcome, the food was excellent and good value, and service was quick. My daughter was well looked after and she was very happy when she was brought an ice cream as a birthday treat on what was our first ever visit, they also took our cake and brought it through for us candles lit singing happy birthday etc. We would highly recommend Greenacres as the service we received was excellent and more than you would reasonably expect, we will be returning before we go back home.

Just had an amazing carvery, everything cooled to perfection and generous portions of meat, only downside is the carvery area is very small and had to queue for about 40 minutes. Would be better if you could number the tables/tickets and call up one at a time in order of purchase. Very nice place though withnice friendly staff

Day 2

Southeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the southeast side side of town. Start the day off with Skegness Pier, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Hildreds Shopping Centre. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Skegness Pier is a renowned landmark offering coastal views and a wide range of entertainment options. Despite being only a quarter of its original length due to storm damage, the pier's future looks promising as it was acquired by the Mellors Group in 2021. With plans to rebuild and redevelop it to its full 582 meters, inspired by New York's High Line urban park, the pier is set for an exciting transformation.
Various eating venues, plus entertainment area at the start of the pier. Nice view of the sea at the end, plus a number of benches to relax and watch the waves. Great spot later in the day for a bit of quiet time if you're at the end of the pier.

We visited on Monday 26th May 2025 at around 17:13. As it started to rain, we made our way to the end of the pier. On our way back, we travelled through the arcade. We spent £2 on the duck racing machine and earned plenty of tickets. There is a big soft play area for little kids, and we enjoy our little visit into the pier.

This beachside destination is absolutely wonderful! The view of the sea is breathtaking, especially with the natural sea breeze that makes the atmosphere so refreshing. It’s the kind of place where you can simply relax, enjoy the beauty of nature, and forget all your worries. A perfect spot for anyone looking to spend quality time by the ocean

What a brilliant day out! We visited Skegness Pier on May 31, 2025, and it was a five-star experience from start to finish. My kids absolutely loved it and went on almost every ride they could. The variety of rides kept them entertained for hours, and the smiles on their faces said it all. The pier is also perfect for a full family outing. There were plenty of places to grab snacks and ice cream, which was great for keeping everyone happy and energised. It's so convenient to have toilet facilities readily available too. Finding parking was no problem at all, with a handy pay-and-display car park just a short walk away. This made the whole trip stress-free. Skegness Pier is a fantastic place for family fun and a must-visit if you're in the area!

First time on Skegness pier. Fantastic day with fantastic company. Lots of people enjoying themselves. Lots of music, live entertainment rides and side stalls. Everything you would expect on a pier and the surrounding area. I liked how people have put locks on the rails on the pier as a memory.
Heidi L — Google review
A great walk from the seafront into town. The views were fantastic, especially at sunset, and the pier looked absolutely amazing in the evening. Even though it was the end of October a bit chilly and windy it was totally worth braving the cold for the photos and the atmosphere.
Yazz M — Google review
We visited as a family. The pier itself is lovely — the views are stunning and definitely one of the highlights of Skegness. Unfortunately, the surrounding area is extremely commercialised: everything flashes, sings, beeps, and is clearly designed to tempt kids into spending money. It’s hard to simply enjoy the atmosphere without being bombarded by noise and distractions. The toilets were honestly awful. The smell was so strong I couldn’t even go in — I literally felt like I was going to be sick, and that almost never happens to me. With so many tourists around, it’s shocking that basic hygiene isn’t better maintained. Also worth noting — the railings along the pier are covered with padlocks, despite there being a dedicated heart-shaped structure meant for this purpose nearby. The locks are damaging the fencing and it just looks messy. It’s disappointing that people don’t respect shared public spaces.

Located on Grand Parade in Skegness, the Embassy Theatre offers a diverse range of entertainment for visitors. From tribute acts and pantomimes to family shows and West End musicals, there's something for everyone. The theater hosts cover acts, established musicians, comedians, and even celebrity appearances. Matinee performances cater to younger audiences with shows like Peppa Pig's Adventure.
My partner came here to see Most Haunted Live and thoroughly enjoyed it. As you can see by the photo he had a brilliant view of the stage and said the whole experience was fantastic. Staff here are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for him. Always something good going on here, very highly recommended.

Disable friendly clean theatre. Super seats not worth the extra money as no extra leg room. The small tables at each side of the two seats in the row are a health and safety hazard as people were using them as a step down and getting told off by the ushers. (My opinion are a waste of space) However you do get extra wide seat and space between the next sitting audience. Also a row behind 'super seats' are much cheaper and just as good. There is a dance floor which is good and gets people dancing. Very cool atmosphere air con just right. All in all I would recommend the theatre to see a good show well worth it.

Fantastic night out went to see Legend - Bob Marley, what a night singing, dancing, photos and videos allowed BONUS, staff always polite, can't do enough to help, will go above and beyond if your disabled so don't miss out, you don't need too, only gripe at this time of year is parking, as lots of holiday makers still in car park at night time, so allow extra parking time, you are allowed to take drinks through with you, also there are sweets and crisp and half time ice cream, all in all a great night out.

Visited the theatre to see Come What May, which was touring the country. Seating was good and we were near the front. I thought it might have been difficult to see, if we were too low from the stage, but the stage was low, so our view was perfect. Air conditioning was set to cool/cold, so it kept everything pleasant, even with a full house. Photos were difficult to take, as the red lights pre-show overpowered the image, so they are the best I can provide.

We've been twice this year now and we go again in August to see Jason Manford it's a great theatre , no chance of someone tall in front of you hampering your view because of the great seating in a way it's more intimate than an arena , very impressed with it all

Beach pavillion
Skegness Beach is a long, wide, and sandy stretch along the East coast, offering miles of golden sands for visitors to enjoy. Unlike the pebble beaches in other areas like Brighton, Skegness Beach provides ample space for families to set up picnics by the sea and engage in various activities such as crazy golf, sailing, donkey rides, and even a paddling pool.
Beautiful family friendly beach with something for everyone to enjoy! The fair was a big hit with the kids. There is also a really nice splash park right by the car park which the kids enjoyed too! Ended the day with a quick stroll on the pier which was lovely and quiet. Toilets are closed by the car park. 40p charge to go in and only card payments accepted.

Skegness has greatly improved over the years. Everywhere I walked was clean, tidy and inviting. I visited most shops and generally got a warm welcome. Lovely to see the Salvation Army selling food and drinks. Apparently the guy that works in their cafe bakes the cakes on sale. The beach was very clean with plenty of people about, although my photo's don't show that. I spent three days with my van at a holiday park at very reasonable rates. Thank you to the people, businesses and local council for their hospitality.

Busy area as is expected, the use of donkeys is a shame but I guess they are well looked after. Huge beach area with loads of rides, food, arcades and drinks options I would recommend the alcohol slushies on the left as you enter the beach Well looked after beach, great water quality

Huge sandy beach Well looked after No dogs on most parts of beach The people visiting all seemed to take their rubbish away with them, like most decent people. Life guards on watch Good walk Shops, fairground rides, log ride, arcades, places to eat, hotels etc

Extremely busy beach and crowded but it was in August and a Saturday. Unfortunately humans littering let down the atmosphere & look of the beach - unable to relax and ended up collecting the litter flying at me whilst sat on the beach. RNLI patrolling and Red and Yellow flags out. Kids had fun.

This is a beautiful beach with lotof sand area for kids to play. Waves are little small . Also there is a water paddling pool for kids near the beach car park which is good and clean for kids to play. Car park : we parked in the beach car park which is nearby beach and charge 8 pounds for 3+ hours

Skegness Beach, often affectionately known as "Skeggy" or "Skegvegas," is a quintessential British seaside destination that has charmed visitors for over a century. Its primary draw is undoubtedly the expansive stretch of golden, soft sand, providing ample space for traditional beach activities like building sandcastles, sunbathing, or enjoying a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. The beach is notably wide, particularly at low tide, revealing vast stretches of fine sand ideal for family fun. What sets Skegness Beach apart is its commitment to quality and accessibility. It consistently achieves the Blue Flag award for its excellent water quality, assuring visitors of clean and safe bathing conditions. The waters here are generally shallow with a gradual gradient, making them particularly suitable for families with young children who wish to paddle or swim. For added peace of mind, seasonal lifeguard services are typically in operation. Beyond the natural beauty of the beach itself, the vibrant promenade is a hub of activity. Lined with an array of traditional seaside shops, cafes, and amusement arcades, it offers a lively atmosphere and endless entertainment. Here, visitors can indulge in classic treats like fish and chips, candyfloss, and ice cream, or try their hand at arcade games. A central feature of the Skegness seafront is the Skegness Pier, a historic landmark that extends into the North Sea. The pier itself is an entertainment complex, housing further amusement arcades, ten-pin bowling, laser tag, and soft play areas. Walking to the end of the pier offers stunning panoramic views of the coastline and the bustling resort. For those seeking more energetic pursuits, the beach provides opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, and even gentle surfing. Donkey rides, a beloved traditional seaside activity, are also available, adding to the nostalgic charm. While dogs are generally welcome on parts of the beach outside the peak season (May to September), restrictions apply on the main beach during this period. Skegness Beach's convenient proximity to the town centre, coupled with ample parking facilities, makes it easily accessible for all. Its reputation as a clean, family-friendly, and entertainment-rich destination ensures that it remains one of the most popular seaside resorts in the UK.

Skegness Clock Tower is a well-known historical structure situated in the heart of Skegness on the Lincolnshire Coast. It is decorated with nighttime spotlights and string lights during holidays, making it a popular tourist attraction for signature photos. Despite not being as famous as other landmarks like the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben, locals hold sentimental value for this tower which has stood since 1899.
Lovely seaside town, something for everyone, beautiful beaches, amusements on both sides of the main stretch, a big theme park, buses going to and from Ingoldmells are very frequent offering a family saver for £12.50 to use the buses all day. There are plenty of car parks for day, weekend visits, plenty of food outlets up and down the stretch of the front.

Skeggy: We ate our fish and chips; spend our 2ps at the amusments; paddled in the sea; sat on the enormous beach; used the contactless card toilets; had a great time on such a short visit.
Ernest W — Google review
I hadn’t visited Skegness for around 20 years and it’s mostly as I remembered it, I’d say cleaner this time around and some of the stores and arcades have improved. I didn’t realise the Jolly Fisherman is actually a mascot of Skegness and the poster created by artist John Hassall in 1908 is associated with the original success of this seaside town. Parking is fairly limited, blue badge holders still have to pay but can stay double the time they pay for. Toilets are 20p in most places unless you are a customer, they still have donkey rides on the beach but after a visit to the donkey sanctuary I question why it’s still permitted

Great livly place to visit lots of arcades and places to eat. Plenty of attractions like bowling and fair ground rides just everything you'd expect from a seaside town. Various places to get fish and chips if eating in a place do expect to pay high prices.

What an amazing poppy display they have put on for remembrance Day. An extreme amount of effort has gone into it and those responsible should be very proud of themselves.

Get to the clock tower turn left and your on a beautiful blue flag beach , turn right and it leads you onto a street with food outlets and interesting shops. Why does Skegness get such a bad press it's a great place!!!

Park
Tower Gardens, formerly known as Pleasure Gardens, is a charming park area in Skegness that was part of the town's new plans in 1868. Designed by Civil Engineers Clarke and Pickwell for Lord Scarborough, it features lush patches of lawn, flowers, benches, a children's playground, and a gazebo. The gardens were unveiled in 1878 as a place for relaxation and leisure.
A pretty area found behind the main road parallel to the sea. Dogs allowed. A few benches to sit on. Well kept grass area. A children's play area. There is also a cafe too where you can sit outside and look out over the grass. Currently an area to put flowers for the queen's remembrance. A path to walk all the way around on, so good for buggies and small children. . Great to relax here.

I always review as a wheelie. This park is an absolute gem. There are no problems with access around the park, in fact the pathways are some of the best I've seen. I haven't used the loos as yet, so I can't comment. I'll edit review when I have. Seriously check this place out, it's lovely. 🌞

Bless it, it’s tired isn’t it? The benches have seen better days, the garden borders are dry and withered. Sparse flowers for such a busy and attractive seaside resort. People still enjoy coming though. Toilet facilities available. Main attractions opposite

A lovely place just to stop and sit back and let the world go around you As we all know skegness can seem to be a place were people just seem to be rushing about. So when your next near Tower Gardens just take a seat or sit on the grass And let time slow down for you a bit .

Located in Skegness, UK, the Hildreds Shopping Centre is a convenient spot for visitors to explore. The center is surrounded by various attractions such as the Skegness Aquarium and Seacroft Golf Club. The Lincolnshire County Council has plans to improve the area by banning cars from Lumley Road, where the shopping center is located. Although it may be small compared to larger towns, it offers a variety of shops including unique ones like Chuckling Cheese Company and Pandora.
Clean, good variety of shops. Easy access & for wheelchairs too. Car park right outside with public toilets in the corner of the car park. All dogs on leads now allowed into the centre😄 Great Christmas displays. 🤩

Fast food restaurant
Burger King, the iconic fast-food chain renowned for its grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delightful shakes, continues to impress with its commitment to quality service. During a recent visit, I encountered a friendly staff member who stood out from the usual crowd. The Christmas burger meal was slightly pricier than expected but well worth it; my order arrived hot and fresh. Even as closing time approached, the team maintained excellent service without rushing customers away—a refreshing change in the fast-food scene!
Was quiet, near to closing time but service was excellent. I only mention it because a lot of fast food places seem to be more interested in getting ready to close instead of serving a hungry customer. But not here. So top marks for that. Staff friendly, helpful and food was perfect. Everything you'd expect from Burger King and more. Well done guys.
John P — Google review
Actually a good visit. Seem to be new staff. Was served by a lady with shirt black eye. Insay lady as it wasnt one of the normal negative kids serving. The christmas burger meal comes at a cost. The meal in photo was £11.28 which came with a portion of bites (reciept attached) The food was hot n fresh, and nice. Just bit more then use to for a burger king sorta of food
Anthony S — Google review
Quiet, had no sides or chicken products as I overheard them saying they left the freezer open overnight. Hardly anyone in the restaurant but 5 staff and the manager just sat in a chair having in appropriate conversations about who wanted to sleep with who. Terrible experience and way to treat staff. Been in a few times and it gets no better. Food was ok which is the only redeemable part
Martin J — Google review
It's OK. Very standard for a Burger King, including the laboriously slow serving time. I don't know which Big Wig came up with the serving method but s/he needs a disciplinary because it is unbearably slow. In fairness it's not exclusive to this branch, they're ALL painfully slow at serving, even when you're the ONLY customer. It's almost impressive how consistent they are at being slow no matter how many/few customers there are.
Just J — Google review
Generally quiet for a dinner time, served straight away, server friendly enough was sat eating my order within 2-3 minutes. Staff love upselling products which they are trained to do. Burger could have done with being a tad hotter, other than that meal was ok, had a lot better but also had a lot worse. As with burger king always seems more expensive than it should be but still more filling than alternative fast food outlets. Upon finishing my meal, had to squeeze the rubbish in the overflowing bins.
Sir S — Google review
Food was as expected Burger King quality. Good food, good prices. There was a short-haired female server behind the cashier and she had as much patience as she had teeth. She didn't have much. She was very rude, loud, and overall obnoxious. She had the personality of a donkey on the Skegness seafront, being stubborn and downright ugly. At least the donkey does what you want when you pay it, though. My sister wanted the order read out to her again and the woman just handed her the receipt and said "You do it", and then tried to walk away. Come for the food, stay to sign her up for The Jeremy Kyle show.

Me and my partner went into this burger king and we ordered two whopper meals. As my partner is allergic to onions he ordered a whopper with just lettuce and cheese. The first burger he got was normal, After going to the counter he received his first burger back that had been simply "scrapped" and it was cold by then. He got a replacement burger which was again normal and when we went back up the women behind the counter moaned at him that he should just take what he's been given to which obviously my partner told her he can't he's allergic. and then the manager got involved and finally gave us the correct order. After over half an hour after ordering and being messed around both of us had our meals, but left us feeling like the whole experience had left a foul taste in the mouth. If I could give Zero Stars I would...

Arrived at 6.30pm today after walking a mile with 4 children to get there half hour before closing. Despite there being a queue and still serving, the doors were locked. 'no one is allowed in mate as fire alarm has gone off'. Surely if this is the case then the place would have been evacuated? Either they are taking me for a mug and wanted to close early or they are seriously breaching health and safety. Either way I'm obviously not happy.

Meanie's is a cozy and welcoming venue with friendly staff and a quiet, comfortable atmosphere. The bar offers a great selection of well-priced drinks, including options like Neck Oil and Theakston's Old Peculiar. When I last went it was full of Irish people who were rude and drunk, throwing food at each other and singing Anti English songs. No one tried to stop them, I did some magic tricks to try and calm the situation and when I produced a potato out of thin air, they were in awe. Highly recommend going elsewhere for food as the atmosphere here is akin to a night in a Shanghai prison.

I had the traditional Fish & Chips here while on a day trip to Skegness. The fish was lovely and moist and the chips cooked properly. The meal package also included either beans, peas or mushy peas but I didn't have either as I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all as you got a lot for your money. Definitely worth the price (under £10) and to top it all off they had my favourite Swedish Cider. Would recommend to all.

Hussey’s Fish & Chips is a spacious restaurant offering classic fish 'n' chips with sea views, as well as breakfast, sandwiches, and burgers. Visitors have praised the kind and welcoming staff, delicious food, and clean environment. The location near Skegness beach adds to its appeal. Customers recommend the chip shop platter for its generous portion size and the halloumi fries along with hot chocolate. The venue is also known for serving a nice traditional breakfast suitable for families.
A wonderful place, staff are friendly and welcoming, the drinks and food were served quick. The menu is small but sensible and has a variety of options from standard fish and chips to jacket potato, panini's and deserts etc. The kids meal even comes in a little cute bucket with a spade that you can take with you after.

Had a platter for lunch today and it was very good! I must say the battered sausage was one of the tastiest I have ever had. The platter also came with a fishcake, piece of haddock, chips and curry sauce (you could have also had beans). The chips were very nice too and cooked just right. Visiting from Canada and if I ever come this way again I will definitely stop by. The restaurant had a bright and colorful decor and the washrooms were clean.

Currently on holiday in Skegness and while exploring and before heading back to our camp site. We decided to have dinner before heading back so stopped here. Staff friendly got guided to a free table, came back took and order and didn't have to wait too long. Got a haddock and chips , very nice, one of the kids got the same and my partner grabbed the cheese burger meal.

Tried this place for 3 of us after my partner wanted to try it fro reading reviews. To be honest I wasn't a fan the food was okay nothing to rave about for the price too of you was to walk down the pier or next door in fact you would find prices alot cheaper. I thought the price would show in the quality of food however I wasn't too mich more impressed than any other fish and chip shop. My partner and son got a milkshake which they enjoy but again on the pricey side hence the low marks. I dont believe there is much that sets this place better than the rest other than the decor inside which is quite good actually

A great little restaurant within the arcades on Skegness beachfront. A pizza, all day breakfast, coffee and coke for less than £20 is very good value. Food was great. Yes, the service was a bit slow but that's the only negative. It's a restaurant within an arcade, manage your expectations :-)

The place, the view and the service are great, but I can’t say it for the food. I got an hamburger “Cheese bacon burger” and the only thing that was warm was the burger itself, the bun was cold and there was some not melted cheese as well. The “Chorizo” pizza and it tasted worse than a frozen pizza you buy at the supermarket. Anyway, the whole menu was 20% off so if you are looking to save some money and eat an “OK” food, this is the place. Again, the view is really nice and the service was good.

Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness is a popular attraction that offers visitors an opportunity to witness the rehabilitation work done with orphaned seal pups found on the East Coast. In addition to seals, the sanctuary is home to penguins, crocodiles, tropical fish, and various farmyard animals that visitors can interact with. The site also features a kids' petting zoo and hosts informative talks about the seals and penguins during feeding times.
On May 31, 2025, my family and I visited Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness, where we had an exceptionally enjoyable experience. We purchased a family ticket along with individual tickets, totaling £45, which provided excellent value for the encounter. The car park is conveniently located nearby, facilitating easy access to the sanctuary. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by exceptionally friendly & welcoming reception staff who provided valuable information. The interior of the sanctuary offered an engaging experience, with its gift shop and ice cream shop. The latter was a delightful addition on a warm day. The visit was highly educational for our children, who were captivated by the diverse wildlife they encountered. They had the opportunity to observe birds, seals, fish, and other animals, learning in an entertaining and immersive manner. Natureland Seal Sanctuary stands as a remarkable gem in Skegness, offering both entertainment and educational value. It is highly recommended for families, animal enthusiasts & individuals seeking a meaningful and enjoyable day out. Five stars

Great day out. Not a bad price for entry but it is getting a little run down. Nice place to see lots of different animals. With staff being friendly and willing to chat about the animals. The facilities were clean and the restaurant was good for a bite to eat.

Nice little Seal rescue centre. Undergoing some improvement to the penguin pool. Needs quite a bit of maintenance as buildings, especially the bird and butterfly houses, looking a bit shabby. Small reptile collection. Very good staff, with informative presentation at feeding time. Would be nice if they could get some sponsorship deals from local companies as not getting any lottery grants.
Martin A — Google review
A lovely place that’s truly worth visiting! I visited with my child and we had a really wonderful time. The seals are absolutely adorable, and the sanctuary plays such an important role — rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating these beautiful, intelligent animals. The stories shared by the keeper were touching and made us realise how cruel humans can sometimes be. It was emotional but also eye-opening. Feeding the llamas and goats was a great experience for the kids — a fun and meaningful way for them to connect with animals. Places like this deserve recognition and support from the community. They’re doing something truly important. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Sylwia M — Google review
Not bad value for money, it isn't an all day activity but definitely worth a visit if you love seals 🥺😍 ! Was a lot of maintenance going on at the time which they kindly have reflected on price tickets. General areas such as toilets and the picnic seatings area could do with a good clean. Staff on reception/ticket kiosk really friendly and bubbly. Would recommend a visit for all animal lovers
Danielle K — Google review
They gave an amazing speech about all the different seals (the adult and baby seals) and the seals did some tricks. There’s a great food place which unfortunately doesn’t allow dogs but there is an outside seating area which you can take your dogs into. There’s a butterfly sanctuary and a bird sanctuary which is absolutely amazing to go through. Would highly recommend for a nice day out.

Love what they do here for the seals. Some features are being renovated at the moment. But even those that are not could do with a spruce up. We saw about 4 butterflies in the enclosure. Could hardy see the penguins due to the layout of the temporary enclosure. Alpacas were cute. The largest goat we have ever seen too! Toilets are available, well stocked with toilet roll and soap.

Brilliant fun, loads to look at, seal feeding 3 times a day, plus rescue seals, reptile house, birds, butterflies, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, alpacas, goats, turkeys and an aquarium. What's not to like, had a great time, thoroughly recommended and do you bit to support their work.

Very quiet on a weekday lunch but food came very quickly. A very big portion to share and piping hot. The chips were very big and fluffy. Henry the dog was very comfy asleep on the floor while we ate.

Was here last night and the food smelt lovely and it was bloody fantastic compared to some other food in the area, it is also good value for money if you have kids as there's a soft play area if you pay for food at the same time for an extra pound or too. They had an entertainer on at 7pm that the kids enjoyed too.

Food OK, told there was an hour wait, took 90 minutes but as I said it was OK...(Apart from the very hot salad) as it had been left under the heat lamps for to long! The toilets both male and female thou smell so bad of urine ...need a good clean Its good to go for the night with a family

Popped over to skeggy for the day to watch a bit of wrestling pal and it was a good day with beautiful weather to boot 🌞 The suncastle is a lovely venue located in a prime spot on the skeg Vegas promenade and the venue itself was spot on for the wrestling with seats ringside and also up on the balcony. Bar prices were very reasonable with a pint of coke, pint of lager top, pint of squash and 2 bags of nuts setting me back £10.60 which is outstanding value in this day and age! We were seated near the back bar and toilets and kept getting some funny whiffs. I tell you what pal, it was proper like baby poo, either that or some of the kids had proper stinky farts! Some good wrestlers on show today enjoyed watching the ode retro Boyz, top tag team action and entrance with the out there brothers brought the crowd to life. It's all about the music, song choices are critical in this game! James Bentley is loved round these parts and again his entrance to phil collins was spot on, it was a good show all round and everyone chipped in so well done to lwp and all involved.

Amusement center
Lucky Strike Arcade is a classic and modern arcade game hub packed with all your favourites, like Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter II and Asteroids. There's also a kid's play area and a casual cafe to keep you entertained while you're in town.
Visited the soft play on the top floor with our grandson He absolutely loved it So clean and tidy Food was really good too

Went for some fun in the arcade and loved it as always. The staff that we spoke to were really friendly and I found the arcade reasonably easy to navigate with my small mobility scooter. The only thing was when we went in the lift coming down from the first floor the lift went with a big clunk and seemed to stop before carrying on to the first floor which scared us a little but didn’t spoil the day.

Lovely little arcade. 2p pushers, grabber machines and plenty more. Great for adults and kids. Eatery/ cafe upstairs too. Highly recommend

Great arcade and a lovely cafe. The food was warm and tasty and served quick. Drinks were good. Very decent price at the cafe. Arcades are good some machines don’t give out tickets when they should. A worker said they come out randomly or may not come out at all even when you know you got tickets. Which seems like an excuse to say the tickets in the machine ain’t working and won’t fix it for you.

Lively colourful loud fun cafe 66 inside clean tables friendly staff plus 6 lane bowling . Arcade section for over 18,s . Elevator available as it’s on two levels Best machines are the grab machines for £2 you get as many go,s until you snag a teddy.

The Cafe 66 food was absolutely lovely The staff where excellent, we where a party of 10 and catered for fantastically
Chris W — Google review
Great arcade with such a good selection of games, all in great working order with so many chances to actually win! All the staff were really friendly. Would definitely recommend. It was nice to see staff actually adding more prizes to the 2p machines, rather than moving them further away, which is what we have experienced before, in other arcades. There was also some great prizes to win with your tickets!

Restaurant
Trawler's Catch is a maritime-themed eatery located near the beach in Skegness, offering a variety of dishes such as fish 'n' chips, pizza, kebabs, and burgers. Visitors praise the superb haddock and chips with mushy peas at an affordable price. The restaurant boasts a pirate twist and is known for its award-winning fish and chips. It's family-friendly with indoor seating and a clean space adorned with nautical decor.
Had the £9.95 cod, chips and mushy peas and it was excellent. I can't think of any better chippy meal I've had in 10 years. The only one that came close was one I had on the Scottish Coast. I had my dog with me so couldn't take it to the counter but after a bit of arm waving, one of the staff popped to the front and took my order, brought it down when it was ready and also bought a pot of water for my dog.
Paul S — Google review
Saw the reviews on here so looked forward to a chippy dinner all day, but it seems we caught this chip shop having a bad day? Season times shouldn't really matter but that's what I'm putting it down to? It's not as busy so food is just sitting around.. but then why cook it all up? Chips were crispy, seemed overcooked, or re-fried? The cod had a very thick layer of rock hard batter that I struggled to cut, and had to pick it up and eat it with my hands eventually. Cannot fault the girl serving, she was friendly, served us quickly and professionally. Then there was another two members of staff behind the counter caressing one anothers necks and in personal conversation. It was a bit of an odd atmosphere. Decor was interesting and probably the best thing about the place👍
Kay A — Google review
The queue to get into this chippy was huge so I saw that as a positive sign. I waited over 30 minutes to get served. Staff were super efficient and friendly. The food was generous portions and the fish was huge. Once I sat down to eat my meal, the chips were cold and just crusty leftover bits and the fish was chunky but cold wrapped in a thick hard coating of batter. I could not finish the meal as it was not the best to be honest. The location was close to Skegness tower so catches a lot of trade.
Heidi L — Google review
My very first proper British fish and chips! Portions are massive! I am a big lad but the regular portion is for two guys like me. :) During our second visit me and my daughter got one mini cod and chips set and it was enough! It is not a disadventage by any means but one needs to be aware that you’ll get a big meal for decent price! The fish is fresh and crunchy, chips are nothing spectacular but with gravy or curry sauce, decent. Oh, I also tried chip with cheese. Calories galore but worth it!! Hahha Oh, the onion rings were good too! Whenever I will be back to Skegness, I will come here again!
ITW P — Google review
The best fish n chips hands down in Skegness, possibly best in UK. The fish is massive, chips are always spot on and the curry sauce is also perfect. Can't go wrong all for under £10! You will not find a better deal anywhere. Service is a bit slow but they rarely mess up so it's worth the wait which is usually about 30mins in the queue!
Gametime3000 M — Google review
Every time we come to Skegness we eat here and after all these visits I thought a review was in order. No qué, plenty of tables. We got there about 12 noon, they soon got busy. Food was an incredible price, large haddock chips and a side of your choice for £9. Was a gent going round cleaning up as soon as people left which he was very thorough doing, only problem was he was stood near the table and I felt a bit awkward like he wanted us up and gone. Excellent service
Sarky C — Google review
A very eye catching fish and chip shop right on the main road through Skegness. What a scene. Pretty sure you’ll see something different every time you look at it. The queue was a sign that this place was well rated and it didn’t disappoint. Was just over a 20 minute wait, which wasn’t too bad. The food our family had was very delicious, the fish, battered sausages, the chips and the gravy. Was the best fish I’ve had in Skegness. The prices were very reasonable considering the portion size you get. The young lad that served us was very friendly and considering how busy it was very courteous and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely recommend it and be back again.
Shawn C — Google review
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful food, great value. Only £10 for large cod and chips with a side, mushy peas is best in my opinion 👍🏻. Restaurant is also very close to the beach which is convenient.

As a party of four we were looking for some way to go to have a Sunday roast and we found this little gem right on the beachfront of Skegness. The food was great with a selection of four meats and a great selection of vegetables and extras., The staff was attentive and Alexandro made us feel welcome. The pizza Which was part of the roast, was some of the best I have had in the UK. I definitely recommend this place for a great Sunday roast oh an excellent pizza. The payment for the roast didn't only include the roast, but anything that is visible on the serving counters.

What a lovely surprise to find this place. We popped in around 8.30 in the evening and received a very warm welcome. We paid £10 each and order a bottle of wine then helped ourselves to some salad as a starter, which was all very fresh. We went for the carvery as it looked good and we weren’t disappointed. Even later on it all tasted good and we weren’t disappointed served generous portions of meat. How do they do it for this price? Amazing

Omg. Their beef and gravy are gorgeous. The price is great and I had to have 2 plates. The beef was fantastic and the pork I also had was great but the gravy that was great gravy. It wouldn't be out of place in a posh expensive restaurant.

I went out for lunch yesterday with a friend whilst on a day trip in Skegness and I am pleased to say that our experiences were great! The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was excellent, the food was delicious and the staff were very polite and helpful. Thank you very much to the staff for their helpful hospitality!

Best carvery ever. Meat done to perfection. Large choice of side veg. The Marmite roast potatoes are great. Can help yourself to 2 different Pizzas and sides before if you can manage it. Plus Chicken nuggets and 3 different pastas or chips. Included in the price. Very friendly hard working staff. Gonna come back to Skeggy just for this place alone.

Well the food was amazing. If you ever come to Skegness you wouldn't be disappointed if you paid a visit to this little gem 👍🏻

Kept seeing this place all other my socials and looked pretty good. So thought I’d give it ago £7.99 for buffet style breakfast then drinks are extra on top, which for todays prices is pretty good. The food its self is flavoursome and is nice and fresh, there’s plenty of choice for all. Give the place an overall 6.5 - there’s a few better cafes in Skegness it’s self 👀 Happily come back again in the future.

I had the best meal I've ever eaten in the UK today! Everything was absolutely delicious, and the whole experience was just perfect. Our server, Kayleigh, was amazing – so funny, charismatic, and sweet. She made our visit even more special. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Attached to the Premier. Standard spec. Plenty of seating. Nice bar with a reasonable choice of drinks. Can't really say it had craft beers as advertised, as one pump of Doom bar really doesn't pass muster. Efficient friendly staff. Nice looking menu with a decent Sunday roast. We just did breakfast, which was fine.

Cheap & cheerful. Variety of menu options, including a good selection of drinks. I’ve never had a bad experience here since it opened, the foods always consistent & nice. Kirk was our server last night, he is always friendly & makes time for each table he serves. All the staff are great.

A really good value restaurant with an extensive breakfast buffet selection. Plenty of vegan options cooked to order and delivered to your table. I would recommend booking as it was very busy today. £10.99 for unlimited cooked breakfast and £8.99 for unlimited continental. Staff are amazing and very friendly. I have taken photos of the menu for your reference.

We came here after almost most other places around ingoldmells was closed so we ended up here by accident but my god was we glad we did end up here, the service and the food was excellent on par with a restaurant you would likely pay 3x more at i was very surprised the food was really really good cooked very well and presented very well too serving most of the pub type classics with a few twists of there own the price point was very reasonable for me the mrs and our 3 year old came to around 40 odd pounds for mains and drinks and dessert for one I will definitely be returning again when I'm back up skegness way in the future.

Had a really nice 2 course meal here. Seated straight away and told what wasn't available which is useful to know in advance of ordering. Kirk was our waiter. He was extremely friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. His area got busier and busier while we ate and he sorted everyone out in turn while still checking on all his other diners. Would defo recommend. Free parking for 3 hours too if just using the restaurant.

Visited during the school holidays with our family of four, two adults, a 12-year-old, and a 5-month-old in a pram. We’re big fans of zoos and aquariums, and we thought this would be a great sensory experience for our newborn, which it was. He was fascinated by the movement and colours of the fish, and the tanks were well lit and easy for him to see. That said, I had my reservations when we arrived. From the outside, the building looked quite small, and I suspected we wouldn’t be inside for very long unfortunately, I was right. You could walk around the entire place in 10 minutes if you didn’t stop much. Considering the price, I found it quite steep for the size and variety on offer. While I’ve definitely been to better aquariums, I will say the tanks were clean and the fish appeared healthy and well cared for. The standout is a large showpiece tank, which is lovely, but during school holidays it gets very crowded and that does take away from the experience. Our baby enjoyed it, but our 12-year-old lost interest fairly quickly and was more excited about heading out to play mini golf, which I believe is included in the ticket price. Would I recommend it? Possibly – it’s not bad for a rainy day or a short outing, especially with very young children. But on a warm, sunny day, I think there are better ways to spend your time and money.
Nathan G — Google review
If you like fish...brilliant ! It was well laid out, plenty to see. Some quiz activities for children. Cafe upstairs and a children's soft play area which was a great surprise! Big enough for a good play for a 5 year old. The jurassic Park was good for children.
Tony — Google review
The Dive experience was excellent. All dive instructors gave clear precise training and answered any questions before entering the tank. I absolutely loved it and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. We also spent some time looking around the aquarium which is interesting and educational. Plenty of fun things to do for kids as well.
Jill W — Google review
Lovely aquarium, very clean and tidy, good selection of animals and information to see, would be nice to read some information on the animals that live there i.e. their names, age etc rather than just general breed information. The annual pass is definitely worth it too if you are going to visit more than once. A little highly priced if you are just visiting the once as it is quite small. There is however also a dinosaur trail included in the price with a pretty waterfall which makes the visit longer and interesting. Overall a nice visit and would recommend.
Elise's A — Google review
Really excellent hour. As everything is in there, and up close, it was the most fun dive experience since diving with mantas off Labuanbajao 20 years ago. Jamie and Andy were great, walking two complete novices through everything and calming them down, and did me a quick refresher as it’s been a while. Super efficient and great fun. Rays, sharks, large fish… would recommend to all.
Dr S — Google review
Nice little aquarium, plenty of different types of sea creatures. Kids loved it but it is a little dark in there and a bit smaller than I thought it would be. They got a dinosaur land there as well with some moving ones like the T-Rex. There's a cafe upstairs with nice views of Skegness area and a play area for the kids which is no extra charge. Worth it tbf, kills a few hours... Family pass was on offer, £30.00 for 2 adults & 2 kids.
Gametime3000 M — Google review
Fantastic place for a family day out, my little boy had so much fun there are lots of interactive things to do. He loved the dinosaur section outside with the sand pit where you could dig for dinosaur bones. There is also a soft play within the aquarium about half way in so you can let the kids have a run around whilst you grab a coffe/ bite to eat. Most importantly they have a great selection of sea life which beautiful to look at and are well looked after.

Tower Cinema is a charming 2-screen cinema located above an arcade in Skegness. The modern interior and nostalgic look make it an ideal spot for both young and old movie enthusiasts. It offers a variety of new blockbusters, including major releases for kids. Visitors can also enjoy nearby amusement arcades before or after catching a film. Despite minor issues like temperature control and occasional food service hiccups, the friendly staff and reasonable prices make it a great local cinema option for frequent moviegoers.
Walked past the cinema hundreds of times without knowing its there......now we know it is we will be using it again. It has a beautiful nostalgic look to it. Situated above the arcade via stairs, it has 2 screens showing the latest films for the kiddies. Very reasonable priced for the whole family (2 adults & 2 children 8yrs & 2 yrs) £20... With it being out of season I had chance to try out most of the seats in Screen 1....im 6ft 2 and most of the seats had plenty of leg room. However the cup holders either side of my legs started to hurt. Toilets were spotless and clean, they smelled beautiful.....however I needed to change a nappy and found nowhere to do this so I had to use the sofa in the lobby. I mentioned the stairs!!! We had a full buggy and yes I had to carry it up and down the stairs. (But I'm used to doing that at other venues, so wouldn't put me off coming here again.
Lee L — Google review
Lovely small cinema about 100 seats but shows latest releases. Great price when booked on line £19 for family of 4 to see Lilo and Stitch. Even pay on the day is only £23.50. Not easy to find as the entrance is inside Tower amusement arcade.

Great movie ticket prices. Shop on site very expensive for food and drinks. Be warned and be prepared to listen to a completely different movie from the other room as you can hear that whilst also watching your film. No respect from others in the cinema, felt like I was watching a film in a classroom full of 10 year olds shouting and kicking chairs.
Jamie A — Google review
Absolutely disgrace!! I accidentally pressed on the glass on a 2P machine and the short foreign staff member started shouting and became aggressive towards me. I then left and came back a few moments later to speak to the manager and this very same staff member started being aggressive towards me again and then started waving his landlord anyone which left me with scratches on my hand and my partner suffered minor injuries aswell. The manager did absolutely nothing and this staff member was still there later on. Doesn't seem like any displinery action is being taken. It's been reported to the police but can't see much being today because I go home on Friday but I would avoid this place because this staff member has serious anger issues.
Bradley V — Google review
I went to see the minecraft movie and the movie was fine. The actual experience of being at the cinema was god awful! People screaming, shouting and kicking seats and staff did nothing. I don't recommend going here at all. I understand its a kids movie but there was kids there that sat and just enjoyed it but 90% of the cinema were loud and ruined it for the 10% !

Not one for giving reviews but after staying over the weekend I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable. From the moment we arrived every single member of staff (reception, shop, security, bar staff, restaurant staff, entertainment team and the maintenance staff) were smiley, helpful and approachable. The site is small and has the amenities that you expect, yes it could do with a few more things but for couples and families with small kids it was perfect. We all really enjoyed it and was really impressed with the site. Thank you for a lovely stay .

I wish there was one for staff because it would have been 5 stars. First visit to this site staff very polite and helpful they looked professional. Grass only pitches but spacious and tidy nice amount not too busy. Toilets etc end of season so ready for a deep clean but we’re clean plenty of them and hairdryers too. Plus situated close to pitches. Meal at papa johns bought one of deals which was huge, good pizzas. Popped to the pub/restaurant with the dogs great they have a dog area. It’s a 15 min walk to town lots there. Got the weekend in one of the deals was so cheap. Def come back again thanks for a lovely weekend (except storm Ann)

Close enough in walking distance to skegness ,not alot of buses run this route if walking was an issue. Park itself had lots of things to do , we had issues on arrival on the cleanliness of our van and took several complaints to be dealt with but eventually was and a voucher given for good measure. Overall a nice stay but I've stayed in nicer bnbs in the area.

Why is the manager of Skegness Iceland not been sacked. Obvious he cannot run a store with all the mistakes he makes. Got a delivery and all the frozen stuff defrosted. Why doesn't head office sort this place out, its a disgrace
Ellistim — Google review
Do my shopping here every week, accused this morning of being banned from the store for abusing the store manager, mistaken identity, but still very annoyed, as it brings my good character into bad repute. I will be seeking the store manager, to let him know his staff are out of line.

Skegness Water Leisure Park

Holiday park
Skegness Water Leisure Park is a family-friendly campsite offering a wide range of activities and facilities. With approximately 150 grass pitches with electric hook up and 250 grass non-electric pitches, it's one of the largest parks in the area. The park features a fishing lake, kids' play area, general store, coffee shop, and pub. Located near Skegness Beach, visitors can enjoy traditional seaside attractions such as fish and chips, amusement rides, and golden sands.
Lovely park to walk around with various different things on site including aeroplanes, a wake boarding lake and a mini steam railway . There's also all the facilities you need ... shop, cafe , pub with play area outside and some of the cleanest showers and toilets I've seen on campsite . It's dog friendly in all the above mentioned and the only thing I can say that you can't do is have fires or bbqs .

Arrived for the bank holiday expected it to be busy was absolute chaos asked to be by family but we were put anywhere as all the slots had gone even though we had booked months ago. Some of the Reception staffs attitude was extremely poor and weren't very helpful didn't really care waited ages to get on pitch after a 5 hr drive even though we were late on the day. Toilets were dirty and showers weren't cleaned regularly. Was a good way away from everything so if you don't walk there is a walk unless you have a taxi or drive. Small cafe was really lovely breakfast was spot on and really good value for money and very friendly staff serving . Apart from the fiasco the site is a nice site for a short stop over and great if you love to fish
Michelle W — Google review
Had my caravan on there for four years, over that time it got worse. Don't get me wrong I love wildlife but the amount of geese and ducks are by the thousands. Kept awake most of night if it wasn't the bird's it was the absolute hell of music from Butlins after midnight may I add. One of reception so rude makes you feel like you are wasting her time.

We arrived with our caravan and were sited in the middle of a field full of tents, felt a bit like we were just abandoned there. The toilets were scruffy, the cleaners did an amazing job but the way some of the customers left them was disgusting. We noticed this was worse both weekends rather than during the week. One toilet was blocked a few times, sanitary towel wrapping and toilet paper left all over the floor but once Sunday came, things were cleaner until the following Friday night/Saturday morning.

We stayed for the first time this year camping with the kids and family the pitch sizes are decent once we checked in the security guys take u to a pitch everyone is so friendly and if u have any questions there always happy to answer massive site with a football pitch pub cafe and park the only disappointing thing I can say about it is there is no water sports which we wasn't told about upon booking the site got recommended to us we would defo stay again tho

Just had a brilliant week in Franklin Lodge Bungalow. Very clean ,modern up to date decor and fittings, beds made ready all towels supplied. 5 Berth double bed, bunk beds ( wide ) ,and single bed, tv,s all bedrooms. ( Hint ) a walk in shower would be ideal for the less mobile person. But still top class accommodation. A+++++

Just come back from a week in our tourer been going here the last 4 years never had a problem this year one of the security very clever attitude about the fishing lake made my son who is only 12 stop fishing who by the way had been fishing most of the week because he never had a licence who does not need one because he is only 12 it's 13 to 16 you need a licence discuiting behavour and the toilets blocked every morning and had to wait till 8 clock for the office to open to get someone to sort them well all I can say is we won't be going back to this camp sight no more

Lyndhurst Garden Centre is a beautiful and welcoming place with a great selection of goods. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, with special mentions to Glenn for landscaping ideas, Ellen for assistance, Terry for knowledge of trees and shrubs, and Amy for exceptional customer service. The new restaurant, Basil's, offers delicious food and a variety of cakes and desserts. Visitors can also enjoy the lovely cafe with dog-friendly facilities.
Basil's cafe and restaurant is absolutely superb. The food is top quality, beautifully prepared and served by very friendly staff. The breakfast is particularly good (best sausages I have ever eaten) but all the food served here looks excellent. A wonderful place to eat and meet up with friends. Highly recommended!!

Really impressed with Basil's restaurant! Visited here for lunch whilst holidaying in the area and their homemade cheesecake range looked amazing! We opted for the strawberry and white chocolate one which we took away and that was very good quality. We also had the sausage and onion chutney paninis and they were really good. Very generous with the onion chutney and lovely butchers sausages. The homemade coleslaw was also very nice. The restaurant is very modern, light and vibrant, really nice décor and very welcoming. It's a lovely little garden centre too with lots of nice things to look at. Was gutted I didn't get to see their gorgeous spaniel dog Jack this time, but hopefully next time! 🤞Will definitely make sure this is a place I make a point of visiting when I holiday here next year as the cheesecake is not to be missed!

Basil's consistently provides good food at a reasonable price, and the service is friendly and quick. My friends and I have been meeting at Basil's for lunch about once a month for around a year and are very happy to continue to do so. Already looking forward to next time.

Popped in to browse through for a while on such a sunny day. The shelves were stocked with beautiful items. There was a lovely cocker spaniel walking around and coming in for a stroke. Didn't have time for the restaurant but next time will make sure I do.

We have been to Basils several times now and our trip on Monday inspired us to comment…the surroundings are awesome, the service is excellent- nothing is to much trouble and the food is amazing. This is a great experience and on Monday Peter went over and above to make sure we had an outstanding and enjoyable meal- massive thanks 🙏

The garden centre was great but the Basil restaurant has let us down twice. The first time there were no vegan options. The second time we went we asked if they had plant based milk alternative, a staff member said they will find out. We sat down at a table but no-one came over to serve us. We waited nearly 10 mins whilst watching 2 members of staff pottering around the counters. We then got up and walked out past them and no one said anything to us! It was rude to be ignored.

Went here on the strength of reviews to go to the cafe.We had 2 large breakfasts but we're very disappointed. It wasn't very hot ,sausages tasted a bit rancid bacon cold, tomato was cold, hash brown full of grease as we're mushrooms, Won't go again

During my recent visit to Skegness, I stumbled upon the charming Ocean Cafe, where I enjoyed a delightful breakfast experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with friendly staff who provided excellent service. Despite being cash-only, which is easily manageable with an ATM nearby, the menu offered fantastic value for money. My large fried breakfast came at just £8.75 and included toast and a hot drink—truly unbeatable! My partner also savored a full English that was cooked to perfection.
Stopped off for a bite to eat. First time I have been in here and have to say that I would definitely be going back. Service was very good, staff were very lovely and helpful. Place was kept very clean. I had cheeseburger and chips and a diet coke. My mum had cheeseburger and a latte and total price £13.45 which is very reasonable.

Food was hot but nothing like an actual chip shop food - sausages were breakfast sausages, they only had haddock and had zero cod, chips were airfried. Ridiculously overpriced. Man behind counter was rude. The girl working there was not friendly, blunt, rude and horrendous at customer service and her job. It was 5pm, they close at 8pm apparently, and they began chasing us out and making us feel unwelcome. Go somewhere else
Alice S — Google review
We found this little cafe as my son only likes toast for breakfast. On all of the 3 mornings we went my daughter and I had bacon and eggs and they were both cooked to perfection. Great tea and coffee too with good, prompt service and good value for money...

My partner wanted a full English, so we stopped at the first place we saw serving breakfast at 12 noon. So pleased we found this delightful cafe. We received fantastic service from the lady running the cafe. When ordering, she asked questions to ensure we received what we wanted & explained about additional costs, just like the menu explains. The food & drinks arrived quickly. You have to pay cash but there is a Natwest very near. If you want fantastic customer service & great food,at a good price, I recommend this cafe to you.
Louise U — Google review
Not very experienced although the ladies were lovely. The man on the till was very rude to the girls servicing in front of people, which was very unprofessional. The girl who served us forgot our drinks and had to be reminded by us. Lovely ladies as I say but not experienced. The man was telling them what to do in an abrupt rude manner. Food was OK.

We stopped off to have some breakfast this morning, and boy was it a beautiful breakfast! When we arrived we were told it was cash only, so we ordered our food and me and my neice nipped over to the nearest cash machine, baring in mind the trip took what felt like 5 minutes, and by the time we get back the food was just arriving to the table! £8.75 for a large fried breakfast, with toast and a hot drink, you cannot go wrong here! Will definitely be returning when I next visit Skeggy

Restaurant
Wolfies Wine Bar is a charming hidden spot in the heart of Skegness, offering a modern and inviting atmosphere. The comfortable seating and decor create the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening. Guests have praised the delicious starters and main courses, with particular highlights being the perfectly cooked fillet steak and the flavorful New Jersey chicken. The attentive and polite staff, such as Jade and Kiara, add to the overall positive experience.
The nicest place for proper food in Skegness, wow! Cooked to absolute perfection! I don’t know who was in charge of the music but they had impeccable taste in songs! Not a bad thing to say about this place. Staff were pleasant and attentive, overall 100%
Peyton T — Google review
We wrapped up our Easter long weekend in Skegness with lunch at Wolfies Wine Bar, and it was a great way to end the trip! Five families dined together, and none of us regretted it. The location is perfect—just around the corner from the rides and the beach, which made it super convenient with the kids. We ordered a variety of food including pizzas, garlic bread, chicken dishes, and some soft drinks like mojitos. The food was decent overall and there was something for everyone. The service was fine, and the staff were polite and helpful. The ambience inside is lovely, with comfy sofas and chairs that made it easy to relax after a busy morning out. Lighting inside is a bit on the dim side, but if you sit on the side facing the rides, there’s more natural light. The toilets were reasonably clean too, which is always a bonus. Only downside was parking—it was a busy weekend and the nearby car parks were all full, so we had to park about 5 minutes away in a residential area. Not a big issue, but something to keep in mind if you’re visiting during peak times. All in all, a good spot for casual dining in Skegness. Would consider visiting again!
Pavan A — Google review
They have a separate vegan menu with lots of choice! We had two meals and two cocktails for £36, which we thought was a bargain. Pros: Tasty food, Varied options, Affordable Cons: No vegan desserts

Price is good for the size you get. Atmosphere is grate Music on point My only gripe is the fish was under done a little and batter on the inside still runny. Also gluten free wife says is amazing

I had a sirloin steak and to have it as medium rare but came out as well done and quite tough. Lunch time in kitchen must of been busy but surely keep an eye on the steak that needs to be medium rare and not overdo it. And the underside was a bit burnt

Great restaurant. Super clean and amazing service. Staff are friendly and for one of the only places that allow dogs it's the best. Food is amazing, steaks cooked to perfection and they really give you so much. I would recommend this place as one of the best in Skegness to go.

Perfect cafe Myself and my little man love coming to Ninja Mitton, Harry loves his gaming on the PlayStation 5, we have just started collecting Pokémon cards, Ninja Mitton is the ideal place to go for gamers no matter how experienced you are. The food is awesome and the staff are very welcoming. Thank you

We had only planned one visit here during our short break but ended up visiting 3 times. Anywhere with games is good, but Ninja Mitton also has excellent and friendly service from the owner and his team, and a relaxed atmosphere that we really appreciated. The food is great and reasonably priced. I recommend a visit!

Such a cute little gaming cafe! Bacon sarnie and tea are spot on!💯 Never stopped and played the games but I'd like to when things are a bit more relaxed! Very polite owner! Definitely recommend anyone to come here! I tell everyone I can!😊 (Awesome Cactus in the window btw)

We spotted this cafe from the bus, and my 8yo son was very keen to visit, as it combined several of his favourite interests - ninjas, games, and food. We had time to kill before our train so we popped in. Food was delicious, cheap, and served quickly. Cafe was friendly, relaxed and welcoming. Good selection of board games to play while you are there, or to buy. My son said, “We should come here again!” Which is high praise indeed.

This morning my partner and I went to Ninja Mitton gaming cafe for some breakfast before going to the cinema. I must say the food was outstanding, fresh quality tasting ingredients and great value for money, and there wasn’t much of a wait for it at all. The staff were all very friendly with amazing vibes in the cafe. If you enjoy good food and a friendly atmosphere then this cafe is definitely for you.

Amazing! A breath of fresh air for Skegness. Don’t be put off my the “gamer” identity every one is welcome, good food and great prices. I have visited 3 times and service has been exceptional every single time, it’s rare to find staff that love to be at work. Prices are amazing me and my partner got two breakfasts for the price of one at cafes just down the road. In the back you can hire gaming consoles by the hour. If you’re not into that, consoles like the switch are great for keeping young children’s attention whilst you can enjoy your meal. But do book these tables in advance so you are not disappointed. They also offer an amazing discount scheme with no sign up fees or emails and texts that pest you. You sign up and start saving immediately on food and also the variety of gaming related products they sell. 6 out of 5 stars

I found this little gem on a website of attractions and things to do in Skegness. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CAFE! Food was delicious and the owner is a great guy! He's very passionate about the business and lovely to talk to, with the added bonus of all the incredible gaming stuff too! Highly recommend popping along, even if you are not an avid gamer, just for the chat with the owner and food! Thank you so much :)

Stopped here as Google said they offer a Ploughman's Lunch. This cafe has recently been taken over and they are doing a great job so far. A very helpful staff and a great breakfast. If they put a Ploughman's on the menu, I'd definitely come back again. I would have given 5 stars but they are cash only and don't accept card payments

Fantastic food and great service! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and could not fault the experience. The pizza is a must - fresh dough, food fired pizza oven, and even a bunny shaped pizza for the kids. All of the staff were lovely. If you’re staying in the area - do give The Lakes a visit.

Five of us went here for dinner and we had a fantastic time. The service from the moment you enter through the door and the moment you exit have been incredible. Feel all felt that we were looked after very well. We ate some pizza, burger, steak, chips & calamari, all of those were tasty and really good portion sizes. We were very full at the end of the meal 😊 The atmosphere is quite relaxing and welcoming. Well done everyone! I have no hesitations in recommending The Lake Restaurant if you are out and about this area and fancy a nice meal 👍👏

On holiday, not staying far from the restaurant, decided to have our 25th wedding anniversary meal at The Lakes Restaurant. Another great decision picking this restaurant as I made picking my wife. Superb food, attentive staff & great location. If down this way on holiday again, will definitely be having another meal here.

Highly recommend. Great service. Great food. The lamb shank was so succulent just dropped off the bone. My wife had pizza 🍕 she said it was fantastic. Good selection of drinks. Booked again to go for Sunday roast. Can't wait!
Matthew S — Google review
The food was delicious and plentiful (we shared cheesy garlic bread to start, we each had lamb shank with gravy, mashed potatoes and green veg for our mains and ice-cream/cheesecake for pudding). It was very busy (it was a Saturday evening), so to guarantee a table, you need to book. My only complaint is that the music was very loud, which, combined with all the people trying to talk over it, made conversation quite difficult.
