The palace exudes grace and beauty from its peaceful courtyard to its harmonious architecture, embodying the high ideals of the Renaissance.
Just one word- Amazing. it is out of main highways , but must to visit. is one of the most important centers of the Italian Renaissance, whose architectural legacy it still fully preserves (is UNESCO World Heritage Site). It is home to one of the oldest and most important universities in Europe, founded in 1506.

Wow. What a stunning place. Cannot recommend it enough. Gorgeous fortress. Beautiful churches throughout. Picturesque with incredible views. And a delicious little gelato place. Wow. We didn’t go inside the fortress - we just wandered around and took in the beauty. Highly recommend the trip.

Long time wanted to visit Urbino and finally managed today. Despite heavy rainfall I felt in love with this unique and immensely charming place. Palazzo Ducale and National Museum of Marche are stunning. I wrote some comments and complains of bareness in most of rooms. But masterpieces on display are more than enough to compensate. Highly recommended.

The Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is enveloped in an atmosphere of mysticism and grandeur, as if it had emerged from the pages of a centuries-old legend. Its grandiose walls welcome guests with exquisite beauty, as if inviting them to explore the secrets of the past. Once inside, you are immersed in majestic halls adorned with exquisite works of art, each whispering its unique story. The majestic halls and incomparable gardens create a unique atmosphere, as if immersing you in a fairy tale world. A visit to the Castle of the Dukes of Urbino is not just an excursion, it is an encounter with grandeur and beauty that will leave unforgettable impressions for a lifetime.

Amazing experience to visit this gigantic palace. The art works are breathtaking as are the architectural features. Don't miss the absolutely unique inlaid doors, such artistry.
Vic — Google review
Drove from Ravenna through hills and beautiful road. Structure located over the hills with having a good overview on the area around. Paid parking is provided in the front and back, which back is bigger and more organized. Facility presenting an art belonged to Renaissance. It is big museum with many paintings, curved stones, carpets, statues and dishes in different stories. Not only a palace, but also a protected city on the hills with narrow alleys with so many steps. At least consider 2 to 4 hours to see the palace and the city. If you rely on English communication, Good luck!
Nima M — Google review
Majestic structure, impressive from outside. It's worth a visit, there is an interesting collection of paintings and ceramics inside. More impressive from outside than inside but definitively worth 2 hours visit, while strolling around the beautiful Urbino.

Beautiful museum and palace must visit if in Urbino. The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking! With a Raphael painting too!

Great middleages and reinassence art collection and beautiful palace
Marijana R — Google review
Excellent collection of art and furniture in the Palazzo Ducale di Urbino that houses the National Museum of the Marche. As noted before Federico Montefeltro gathered together a collection of art that rivaled those in Florence and Siena. Well preserved pieces in this huge palazzo and I'm sorry I can't find the picture of the Duchess's prayer room, but it was spectacular. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Umbria or northen Marche.
Millie K — Google review
Lovely renaissance art collection, set in the historic ducal palace with splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Visited during a quiet period and spent about 90 minutes to walk around the exhibition.

A beautiful city full of history
Isai J — Google review
Some decent exhibits in a fabulous building but there is inadequate signage so that whilst exhibition rooms are theoretically numbered there is no indication which room is which. Hence it's possible to waste a lot of time trying to find exhibits of interest. There are people sat in chairs in each room who appear to be there to provide information but our experience was that in the main they knew even less than we did. Won't be returning.

Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, also known as Urbino Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in the picturesque city of Urbino, Italy. Originally designed by Francesco di Giorgio Martini in the 15th century and later rebuilt in a neo-classical style by architect Giuseppe Valadier in the late 18th century, this cathedral is a true testament to art and architecture.
Urbino is a beautiful medieval city. My wife and I chose it for our stay during the World Cup in Pesaro. Urbino is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral in Urbino is dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. A beautiful building of historical value.

With its charming terrace overlooking the stunning cathedral, this restaurant is perfect for enjoying hearty pastas and meaty dishes. Guests rave about their Tagliatelle prepared in the authentic Urbino style, featuring fresh sausage meat and vegetables cooked to perfection.
Very nice restaurant. It's much bigger than you think. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The also have some local dishes. And they have a wonderful city garden where you can enjoy your meal. Highly recommended! If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

Wonderful terrace overlooking the piazza of the Duomo. We initially came for drinks but ended up having a small lunch. We shared a crescia sfogliata (was ok) and a pasta with wild boar, and the kitchen kindly served our pasta on two plates. This friendly gesture, along with the overall friendliness, made up for the long wait.

Cool classical restaurant.Looks like time, has stopped here in this place. We had nice hot crusty crescia. Effective, responsive staff. The tiramisu was a bit dry. Not far from the University, so many students having lunch. Three large independent areas in the restaurant. The large room between tables and other customers makes it comfortable to have lunch. Privacy is guaranteed. Urbino is a nice typical old city. A open museum.
Halim M — Google review
Unassuming restaurant, has a cozy ambience to it. Love love love the Casciotta di Urbino. Please order it but make sure to share as it is quite filling for 2 pax. The maialetto cotto is amazing as well, literally melts in your mouth. A little disappointed in the cognilio as I find it a little tough. But overall it’s really good food and I really enjoyed it!
Jean N — Google review
Quite overrated especially in Tripadvisor. It is good but not special. I was alone. Took a first course, a main course, a dessert and water for 40 euros.

Restaurant
Ristorante Antica Osteria Da La Stella is a charming dining spot located in Urbino, Le Marche. The restaurant is known for its homemade pasta dishes and other local delicacies. Run by Mamma Giovanna and her son Diego, the elegant interior of this ancient inn provides a lovely setting for indulging in traditional Italian cuisine.
Very nice dinner at Osteria de la Stella in Urbino. We walked in as the restaurant was about to open and were led up to a nice table by the window. The service was impeccable and the dishes we ordered were refined, tasty and very well presented. I would happily recommend a dinner there while in Urbino.

This was the best restaurant I went to during my 4 weeks in Urbino. I actually ended up going twice because of how much I enjoyed it the first time.
Soren S — Google review
I gave the food a 2 because my portion of venison seemed less than 100 grams (2 tiny pieces) it was overcooked and it didnt seem like the same dish or quantity of food as the pictures on google. They dared to ask 34 euro for it. Even in my hometown in the Netherlands you get at least 200/250 grams for that price, and we have a very expensive restaurant culture compared to Italy. Ambiance a 3 because of the weird, out of place music that was playing. Price quality/quantity gap is too big. Left hungry.
R. H — Google review
At first from the other reviews, my husband and I thought finding a dish that we would like would be a bit difficult, especially with me not liking meat as much but we went regardless for our anniversary and found that this place does offer just what we were hoping for. The menu photos the others posted aren't updated and the service? Impeccable. The place is clean, the servers and host are incredibly nice and welcoming. I honest to god felt like royalty. This is the nicest restaurant we have ever been to. Yes, the pricing is a bit much but the food is so delicious and presentable that being a one-time occurrence was well worth it for our 6 years. I highly recommend this place and I would love to come again, almost everything on the menu is inviting.
Sara A — Google review
Very good local traditional food. Slightly pricey, but the quality is great! If you don't mind spending a little bit extra, it's a good place to come to for lunch or dinner. Absolutely loved the mixed entrees plate, and the passatelli with black truffle was divine!

Great little restaurant. Super friendly staff. Super fresh ingredients. Home made pasta, home made bread. Delicious food. Highly recommended. If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.

A little bit more expensive but definitely worth the price for the amazing location. Especially with the friendly staff and free appetizer and dessert.
Jef A — Google review
If you only have time to eat dinner in one place in Urbino, come to la Stella. The food is delicious and beautiful. The wine list is vast and well selected. The staff are knowledgable and welcoming. In addition, the setting itself is elegant but homey. TOP
