Lindos in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Lindos, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Combine the best of Greek island life and culture with romance for an unforgettable holiday to Lindos. Strolling through the Venetian-era Old Town, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. The town square is lined with white columns and neoclassical buildings, overlooking the Mediteranean Sea. Stroll the shaded lanes and enjoy the wonderful restaurants and cafes, visit the 14th-century Castle of the Knights and Church of Panagia, or take a boat trip to the nearby island of Nissyros to explore the ruins of a once thriving ancient city, famous for having the only ‘active’ volcano in Greece.
With favorites like Paralia Agios Pavlos, Hermes Restaurant, and Ktima Lindos, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Panos and Roof Burger Lab so you can get the best taste of Lindos while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Ancient Ruins
Lindos Acropolis is an ancient citadel located on a steep cliff with stunning sea views. It offers a glimpse into prehistoric sites such as the nearby Acropolis of Lindos and Rhodes, along with ancient Minoan artifacts dating back over 3,000 years. Nature lovers can explore the Valley of Butterflies and enjoy miles of sunny beaches.
Lindos Acropolis is a must-visit when on Rhodes. The combination of ancient ruins, dramatic cliffs and panoramic sea views is unforgettable. Tickets are 20 euros per adult and it's smart to buy them in advance to skip the line, we waited around 15 minutes. Along the way there are QR codes you can scan to buy tickets online, but if you're already close to the entrance, it might be quicker to just wait in line. The path up is steep and not secured with handrails, so be careful, especially with kids. Wear good shoes and bring a hat or cap, as it gets very hot during the day. Once at the top, you're rewarded with stunning views over Lindos Bay and the white town below. The site has some restored areas and informational signs. Go early if you want to avoid the crowds and the heat. A mix of history, nature and views that truly makes it one of the island’s highlights. Worth every step.
Miodrag J — Google review
The view and scenery were simply stunning!🤩the only complain comes from the route to the temple, it is quite difficult as the terrain was hard to walk and no safety rails whatsoever exists, lots of other people going. Anyway, I'd recommend this as one-time visit if above points are not blockers👍🏼tickets 20€/person at the gates
YArIk Y — Google review
The Acropolis itself is impressive and fascinating to explore, but for me the real highlight was the breathtaking view of the surroundings - the beaches, Lindos, and the mountains. From the top, the scenery is absolutely spectacular. We arrived right at 8:00 in the morning and were able to enjoy the site before it became crowded with other visitors. The walk up to the Acropolis is also very pleasant, offering beautiful side views of Lindos along the way. Tickets cost €20 per person, which may feel a little overpriced, but I would still highly recommend the experience - it’s definitely worth it.
Ajdin M — Google review
Beautiful place with stunning views over Lindos and the sea, definitely worth visiting! However, the €20 entrance fee felt a bit high, especially since there was no guide or detailed information to explain what you see. Even at the end of the season it was very crowded, with a long wait at the ticket office. Keep in mind there’s a steep walk with many steps, so bring water and good shoes. Best to visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the heat and the crowds.
Chara T — Google review
We visited in low season (end of October) and the wait was under 10 mins. This is an incredible archeological site in a beautiful location. Watch your step as we saw a couple of people slip and trip (they do warn you to take care). Well worth the visit. Fresh orange juice available in the cafe with a wonderful view.
Jo C — Google review
Looming over the town of Lindos, this historic fortified citadel holds several ancient structures, including the Doric Temple of Athena Lindia, The Castle of the Knights of St John, and an amphitheater. The acropolis offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and the town below. Donkey rides are a traditional mode of transport here and remain a popular way of climbing the village's steep hills. On the way up, you'll pass by white-washed houses, quaint shops, and restaurants offering traditional Greek fare. Lindos is a 30-mile bus ride from Rhodes Town, and you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter the acropolis. The Acropolis of Lindos is a breathtaking historical site with stunning views, although many reviews highlight the steep climb and narrow paths. Visitors frequently mention the high entry fee and crowds, which can detract from the experience, especially during the midday heat. It's best to visit early or late in the day to avoid these issues. While the site is popular among history buffs and photographers, reviewers advise caution for families with young children and those with mobility challenges.
Keith D — Google review
What an absolutely gorgeous place. Please do not let the €20 entrance and walk up the stairs deter you from coming. This is a very well preserved and gorgeous historical site. Yes the Greek heat and the climb will tire you out but it is absolutely worth the views and the feel of history. Plus you can always get a beer on the way down there are plenty of places available in the town :)
Aarush A — Google review
Enjoyable morning visiting the Lindos Acropolis. Very busy walking up the hill, through the town and the pebble paths can be slippy in places but its worth the walk. There is a much quieter and less steep path for a pretty walk back down with good views of the harbour and back up at the Acropolis.

Lindos Beach is a popular destination located in a cove with a long stretch of sandy shoreline, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and boating. It competes for attention with the ancient Acropolis of Lindos standing above it and the charming whitewashed houses cascading down the hillside. The beach offers fluffy yellow sand and clear waters ideal for families due to its shallow depth. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as bathrooms, showers, changing facilities, and sun loungers.
This sandy gem tucked in a small bay offers stunning views—especially with the ancient Acropolis towering above. The scenery is pure magic! For just €20, you get two sunbeds and a parasol (a fair price for the location). Clean showers are conveniently placed around the bay, and there’s no shortage of great restaurants and shops nearby for snacks or full meals. Ideal for sunbathing, swimming, or just soaking up the dreamy Greek vibes. A must-visit in Rhodes! ⭐️
Oussama T — Google review
Overcrowded, no free zone, expensive umbrellas, tons of boats everywhere. Actually clean water if you never go out of it. Would not return. Probably better to visit by boat so you don't go near the beach. Sad thing is I'd rate it 5* if I came off season, probably.
Marin K — Google review
We enjoyed very much this beach due to its calm water, nice sand, almost no waves and because it was close to facilities. The parking if you are lucky, is just on the edge of the beach. Be careful, you must park in the blue zone, and to pay 7€/day. But be there early because the parking is limited
Andrei B — Google review
Pallas beach across the little bay is a hard act to follow, but the Town Beach has really upped the ante since my last visit. There are 2 roads down to the beach. The first takes you straight to the beach next to 2 tavernas. The 2nd road is longer but not as steep and ends at a pretty little village area on the beach. There are now plenty of places to eat ( all friendly), sunbeds and toilets. I spotted 3 showers and changing cubicles. The water is clear with a very gradual drop off, very safe. There's also a lifeguard tower now. The sunbeds are €20 to €30 for 2. If you eat at the wedding venue taverna the beds are free. There are also electric cart taxis to get you there and back. Great day out.

Great place to swim. Sand lovers will really like it. Free parking and free use of the beach. Highly recommend you guys to check this beautiful place out.

Tucked away at the base of Lindos township is Pallas beach. Quite nice - with 2 access roads, although a little steep. Lots of cafes etc to be found nearby, plus sunbeds and toilets available.

Lindos, the place where, from a distance, everything looks perfect. Up close… not quite the same story. Let’s take them one by one. 1. The village. From afar, it looks peaceful, authentic, almost like a postcard from “the good old Greece.” Step inside, though, and the postcard turns into a bazaar: narrow streets crammed with stalls and souvenir shops (most of them peddling glittery plastic “treasures” at luxury-boutique prices). Add in the endless flow of tourists and you get more chaos than charm. As for the taverns? Well, they’re packed to the brim and the prices are way above the prices charged in Rhodes town, for example. 2. The medieval castle and acropolis ruins. From below, the sight is trully breathtaking. But after queuing for hours, the magic evaporates fast. Inside, the “restorations” look like the backdrop of a student film project with a very, very limited budget. 3. St. Paul’s Beach (Paralia Agios Pavlos). Famous, photogenic, social-media-perfect… if you only look at it from above. On the ground, though, it’s a different picture: a tiny strip of sand where every square centimeter is claimed, boats that stir up mud right next to swimmers, and exorbitant prices for the sunbeds (starting from 50-60 euro and reaching well over 100 euro). 4. The main beach of Lindos (split into Lindos Beach and Pallas Beach). Again, from the fortress, the bay looks like a scene painted by an impressionist artist: calm water, boats gliding in and out. But go down and reality paints in darker colors: murky water, noise everywhere, bodies crammed together like sardines, and, yes, the ever-present overpriced sunbeds. 5. And, even if we had accepted all of the above, the sight of dozens of exhausted, thirsty donkeys and mules forced to carry tourists under a blazing 40-degree sun was more than enough to ruin the entire experience.
Catalin H — Google review
Really nice beaches I would advise to hire a boat out for 2 to 3 hours More of a discount if you take it out more hours give you an opportunity to enjoy some snorkelling around different bases my experience this is better than actually going on a tour packed boat with other people . Plus the kids get to build their confidence jumping in and out of the sea and also experiencing driving about.

Mythos All Day Restaurant is a charming eatery located in Lindos Main Square, offering breathtaking views of the Lindos Acropolis and the glimmering harbor. The restaurant's ambiance perfectly complements its surroundings, and its dishes are made using locally sourced produce, with most ingredients coming from Mythos's own farms. The menu features imaginative salads bursting with flavor, succulent octopus, battered squid, stuffed vine leaves, and grilled halloumi with ouzo and saffron.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Experience at Mythos – A Must-Visit in Greece! From the moment we arrived at Mythos, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. Their customer service was outstanding — nothing was too much trouble, and every request was met with a smile. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re there for a romantic evening or a casual lunch, the scenery alone makes it worth the visit. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We couldn’t get enough — each bite was better than the last! If you’re in Greece, do not miss Mythos. It’s the perfect blend of warm hospitality, stunning views, and mouthwatering food. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal restaurant and delicious food. Service was quick and very friendly. The view of the acropolis is stunning at night. As for the food, the lamb shank melted off the bone and tasted like a meal “grandma makes”. The stuffed chicken breast with feta cheese and bell peppers was amazing as well. Free dessert at the end was 10/10. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to dine with an incredible view while enjoying a million flavours.

Spectacular view and delicious food - I called ahead and requested a 'nice' table for a special occasion - although they are all nice - we were given a prime spot right at the edge of the balcony! most beautiful view of lindos and the bay, nestled right against the rock so you're sheltered from high winds. Excellent service and delicious food - special mentions to the cretan pasta, baked feta, saganaki prawns, and starter dip selection with pita bread. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

A wonderful place to eat! And views are spectacular! Food is amazing and very well priced. Staff are so friendly. Highly recommend. Just a 1 minute walk from taxi service at bottom of hill, on right hand side you will see a ATM , just pass on right and you will see stairs. Then restaurant on right . Highly recommend, about 20 stairs to get to terrace for spectacular views. Recommendations lobster pasta! You get a lot! 4 us helped daughter finish. Responsibly priced. For 5 of us with drinks €120 Again staff are super pleasant

A must go to place! Breath taking view over the bay and Lindos village. Very romantic! Really great authentic Greek food and attentive service. I tried their red house wine and it was really good. Toilet needs a bit more work as it’s a bit dated, but that’s a village in the end.
Cessna — Google review
A nicely located restaurant. However, the staff is busy and don't pay much attention to some guests after having served dishes. The starter (grilled octopus)was nice but a bit too cold thus a little disappointment... The lamb was fine but it's not enough to recommend this place, not to mention to come back. Your money, your risk. I will definitely choose another restaurant next time.

This restaurant has the best view in Lindos and the staff are very friendly polite and welcoming. Excellent service and good choice of drinks and food. The food is excellent everything we ordered was lovely and tasty, I would highly recommend the beef stifado, it was cooked beautifully. I would highly recommend this place.

Clear, calm waters & sweeping coastal views are among the highlights at this quaint beach.
Wonderful small bay with sunloungers and a reastaurant renowned for fresh fish. Rocky cover area great for snorkelling. St Pauls Bay shaped like a heart with many people falling in love (and marrying) here. It offers luxury sunbeds and fine dining options.
Ege A — Google review
Beautiful when seen from afar, not a good place to be at all. Water is almost muddy from all the SPF, lots of rocks, no free zones, everything is occupied and overcrowded. Not sure how this place is promoted as one of the best in Rhodos
Marin K — Google review
The bay is beautiful and worth a visit, but here are a few points to keep in mind so you can make the most of your time here: the sun beds are very expensive, up to 5x more than in other beaches around the island. You can, however, avoid them if you bring your own beach towel, but then you should arrive no later than 11:00 (in July/August make it 10:30), as the beach itself is very narrow and mostly taken by the expensive sun beds, so finding a spot might be tricky. Even though the bay is beautiful, for snorkeling you will find it is not as clear as other beaches around the island. The bay can be accessed by boat, car or public transport, and there is a paid parking facility in the premises.
Ana A — Google review
Amazing and historical beach. Arrive early to be able to get access to the sun lounges as it is a small beach with a limited number. The water is beautiful and the view is stunning.
Pedro F — Google review
Nice for a bath or drink. The water is not so clean and the sunbeds cost 60-100eur.
Adrian S — Google review
Really nice place, it's quite expensive but a real treat with comfy sun loungers and drink service to you lounger... They also drive you on a golf buggy across to Lindos
Lee D — Google review
Amazing beach with the best food view and pricess
Patricia O — Google review
There is a 60+ EUR fee for sunbeds. Yes it might be too much when you think you usually pay nothing or less across other Greek islands/beaches but it’s definitely worth it. And when you think about it, it’s not even too much. The staff is friendly (like always) and you get good service (like always).

Head west and you'll stumble upon Paralia Glistra, a stunning beach with fine sand, shallow crystal-clear waters, and a cozy café. It's not overly crowded, offering ample space to relax under the shade or set up your spot on the sand. You can even rent large beds for group lounging. The cool bar area behind plays relaxing music, adding to the upscale vibe of this beach destination.
If you’re looking to escape the crowded tourist beaches but still enjoy a beautiful stretch of sand, this spot is perfect for you. The only drawback is the lack of amenities, for example no showers, no sunbeds, or no toilets. However, the sand is soft, and the water is clear and inviting.
Béke J — Google review
A nice sandy cove just off the road. Sadly the bars and restaurants have all been destroyed by the fire, so looking a bit sorry for itself and a bit neglected as a result , bins need emptying etc. However the sea is crystal clear and nice and shallow if you have kids.
Dave K — Google review
Just a small cove now, as everything else was destroyed by fire. No facilities. A lot of drift wood at the top of the beach, but otherwise lovely sand and crystal clear water, perfect for swimming.
Anne B — Google review
Definitely one of the worst beaches we’ve been in Rhodes. The water is unclear with trash in it. The sand is the same. The positives are a nice free parking just next to the beach and no bars and umbrellas, but that’s it. Don’t recommend it at all
Asya V — Google review
Lovely secluded beach. Not busy but plenty of parking. The water is lovely and the sand is nice. No shade or rest rooms, but thats not something that bothered me. Burnt trees from 2023 surrounding the beach but this did not put us off. Would 100% love to spend more time here
TJ — Google review
The beach is less crowdy and smaller - no sunbeds / toilets, though there is a shower. It’s mostly sandy and very pleasant, so if you’re looking for a bit more wild spot for a calm stay by the beach, take your umbrella and enjoy the place ☺️
Paulina S — Google review
Seems like this place burnt to the ground. Still it’s a nice quiet beach now, not too crowded

We lost one of our wedding rings. It is a classic wedding band with our wedding date (15.07 and the year) and my name "Fiorenza". If you find it, please contact is. We would be so grateful! Otherwise the beach was nice, not crowded. There is a shower to wash off the salt from the sea.

The best restaurant in Lindos beach, Panos offers high quality Mediterranean food with nice atmosphere. The friendly staff will make you feel like home.
WOW. What can I say, Panos is a beach dream. My boyfriend and I rented a sunbed in the morning, they have a system meaning you don’t have to get up and treck to the bar. The staff are prompt, friendly and always helpful with any questions. For lunch we came up to the restaurant and had the crab roll and the club sandwich, for the price the food was impeccable. We had freshly made cocktails throughout the afternoon (so nice!!!) For dinner we had starters , mains and puddings and I could not fault the food in the slightest. Each dish came out perfect and to a high quality. All in all I’m so impressed with Panos and their staff make the restaurant what it is. Will definitely be returning

What can I say about this incredible restaurant? I’ve been coming to Lindos for the past 30 years, ever since Panos was just a Beach bar, it just never fails to impress. The food is consistently outstanding – fresh, authentic and full of flavour – but what truly sets it apart is the hospitality. The warmth, welcome, and genuine care from all the team are beyond words. It feels like coming home every time I visit. A true gem that has stood the test of time!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The octopus was especially amazing, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was excellent as well; the staff were very friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly welcome. Everything from the atmosphere to the hospitality made this place special. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Greece who wants to enjoy authentic and tasty food with great service!

This beachfront restaurant exceeded all expectations! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was vibrant, and the view of the castle was breathtaking. I spent my birthday here and had one of the best experiences on the island. The sunbeds were so comfortable (thick mattresses—yes, please!), and the service was outstanding. Our waitress Beatriz was kind, efficient, and always smiling—a true gem! The entire staff was warm and welcoming, making the day even more special. As a local, I usually avoid beach bars in summer, but this place is different. Impeccably clean, generous portions, and outstanding value for money. Every dish was presented beautifully, and the quality matched the price. If you want a memorable dining experience with top-tier service, stunning views, and delicious food—don’t miss this spot! I’ll definitely go back!

We felt very welcome from the first moment—most likely greeted by the owner himself, which added a personal touch to the whole evening. The seafood starters were absolutely delicious and looked like dishes from a Michelin restaurant! Our main course—fresh fish—was perfectly cooked. Huge thanks to the chef for delivering exactly what you hope to find in Greece: simple, authentic, and full of flavor. The restaurant is located right on the beach, with a breathtaking view of the Lindos Acropolis—such a beautiful and relaxing setting. A special thank you to the owner for kindly arranging a taxi for us. Thank you so much! ❤️ Highly recommended!

Lindos beach is one of the best beaches I've been on made all the more better by the experience provided by Panos restaurant and beach club service. 70 euros for 2 beds which can be used as credit for food and drink is a great way to spend the day. The beds are extremely comfortable and luxurious, the drinks are amazing and the food superb topped off with first class service from our host Gabrielle. Highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Was a little disappointed with our lunch - the reviews looked amazing! The location is great with great views & nice staff 👌🏻 the food let it down slightly, the burger was good and tasty but some grisly bits but the club sandwich was a let down. Predominately bread, with the smallest piece of chicken and a slither of bacon. Not great but the wedges were good 😍 maybe we just picked the wrong food?

We used the sunbeds for the whole week of our stay in Lindos. The beds go on reservation on their website and there is a minimum spend of 70 euro's. A good deal, because the other beds on this beach are all around 30 euro's (with no service and costs for food). So using their good sunbeds, quick services for amazing quality food and drinks is a must if you can in Lindos. We enjoyed all their great food and drinks. Thanks to Beatrice for her great service this week.

Roof Burger Lab is a charming restaurant located in Lindos, Rhodes, offering a delightful selection of vegan burgers including the popular Beyond Burger and a flavorful falafel option. The owner is known for his friendly and welcoming demeanor, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. With its incredible rooftop views of the acropolis and fast service, this spot provides an ideal setting for savoring delicious homemade burgers.
This is my second time eating here took the whole family! We ordered their 15 euro specials which was decent other wise the menu is still a decent price. Hostess is outside standing by the entrance, very welcoming you can eat at the bottom where the main entrance is or the terrace where the view is of the boats and ocean. The drinks come right away nice and cold as you will need this very hot in Lindos. The food is good we had a variety at our table all of us gobbled it down. Staff are very pleasant which is nice.

The view from the roof is amazing. The deals are nice. The food was decent, we had a pepperoni pizza and a smashed burger. The pizza was really good, but the smashed burger wasn’t really smashy but the meat was good quality. 3 for service, because as soon as you finish the food, they want to get rid of you to free the table.
Roland N — Google review
Lovely little spot, great views on the roof terrace, staff friendly, reasonable prices for such a tourist hotspot, and the Souvlaki was excellent. Home made Tzatziki was one of the best we’ve had so far in Rhodes
Josh H — Google review
We ordered three rather pricey dishes: the kids’ chicken nuggets (€9), a Greek salad (€12), and chicken gyros (€17). The kids’ meal came with just three small chicken nuggets and exactly 14 French fries, yes, we counted. For €9, that's frankly disappointing. The Greek salad was served in absurdly large chunks, so big, we usually chop vegetables like that for livestock. As for the chicken gyros, it arrived ice cold and contained no more than 100 grams of meat. Service left much to be desired. A group of non-local waiters spent more time staring and hovering behind our backs than actually providing service. While the rooftop setting offers a lovely view of the Lindos Acropolis, the overall ambiance, furniture, decor, and general upkeep was well below average. The place gives off a strong impression that the owner is only interested in attracting one-time visitors, rather than building any sort of return clientele.

Food - the crab and shrimp burger was amazing, we also shared an amazing double cheese burger. We got a side of fries and ketchup. For drinks we got 2 large beers (500ml) All of this cost approx. 40 euros which is decent! Service - we were shown to our tables, given menus and served very quickly! All of the staff were polite Atmosphere - amazing views, ideal for couples as it’s an intimate, quiet roof top area.

Restaurant
Nestled along the serene shores of St. Pauls Bay, Tambakio is a delightful restaurant that offers an unforgettable beachside dining experience. Once a tannery where sheep and goats were processed, this charming spot has transformed over the years into a culinary gem, owned by the same individual behind two popular summer clubs in Lindos. With its stunning views of the ancient Acropolis and sand beneath your feet, guests can savor Mediterranean flavors crafted from fresh coastal ingredients.
We’re in Rhodes for our honeymoon and only made reservations for dinner originally. But we were so impressed with the view over St. Paul’s bay, the food and hospitality from the employees that we decided to come back the next day to hire a beach cabana for the day. Very nice assortment of food and great value for money & the staff is very attentive. Would 100% recommend but make sure to make a reservation beforehand so you’re sure of availability! :))
Lauri J — Google review
Unbeatable location and outstanding staff Tambakio has a 5-star location right on the beach in Lindos, and the staff easily deserve 6 stars for their friendliness and professionalism. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, perfect for a special meal by the sea. That said, it does feel a bit overrated, and prices are on the higher side for what you get. Still, the setting and service make it a memorable experience if you’re looking to treat yourself while in Lindos.
Konstantinos K — Google review
The MOST beautiful location I’ve ever eaten at! Staff were lovely, we even got drove down to the bottom of the beach for our reservation. We picked where we sat and the food was delicious. We ordered Mussels, bread, fries and the beef and mushroom pasta. We also had a creme brûlée for desert which was enough to share. The only negative points to mention was the walk up the steep hill after your meal! It would be thoughtful to have someone take you back up the hill after your reservation has ended - we personally ate a lot of food so it was a big struggle! The only other negative was the drinks, we found the fresh lemonade was tasteless but that was the only negative from the meal, everything else was so perfect.

Breathtaking view restaurant. Boho chic, very romantic. We had lovely dinner. The food is very good, the strawberry salad was amazing and the cheese with the honey. I had pasta with beef fillets that was very good. The steak wasn’t good, unfortunately. Make sure to come with flat shoes all ladies because you must walk on the beach sands in order to get there- but it is worth it!!!
Sally S — Google review
Tambakio is in a truly beautiful spot — the setting by the water and candlelit tables make for a lovely evening atmosphere. The ingredients were high quality, and the mezze starter was fresh and vibrant, with excellent feta and tomatoes. However, the service logistics were slow, and the ambience felt rather quiet. Not that we wanted a lively buzz, but the soft music and close table spacing made us feel we had to whisper, even though there were plenty of free tables that could’ve offered a bit more space and intimacy. I noted my partner’s birthday when booking two weeks in advance, but it went unmentioned — and to be honest, it didn’t seem we needed to book ahead as it wasn’t particularly busy. Overall, great produce and a beautiful setting, but the service and atmosphere need refining to match the premium price point.
Charlie — Google review
If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience in Lindos, Tambakio is one of those places that feels like a hidden gem. Located right on St. Paul’s Bay, the setting is nothing short of breathtaking – soft sand, crystal-clear waters, and the iconic white chapel perched nearby. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between laid-back beachside charm during the day and an elegant, romantic vibe in the evening when lanterns and candles light up the shoreline. The food is a highlight in itself: Mediterranean-inspired dishes with a modern twist, beautifully presented and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Seafood is a must-try here – the grilled octopus, catch of the day, and signature prawns are especially memorable. Their wine list pairs wonderfully with the menu, and the cocktails are crafted with care. Service is attentive yet relaxed, always with a friendly smile that makes you feel welcome without being rushed. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you can simply enjoy the view, the flavors, and the company. Whether you visit for a romantic dinner under the stars or a leisurely lunch by the water, Tambakio is one of Lindos’ most enchanting dining spots – a perfect blend of atmosphere, taste, and genuine Greek hospitality.

View and surroundings are incredible. Service was great. Food and drink awesome. Free shuttle service back up the steep hill to Lindos or car parks. Very enjoyable dinner.
James F — Google review
The view is absolutely breathtaking. Sitting directly in the sand isn’t the most comfortable, as chairs can easily tip over. The wine was about three times more expensive than in the store, but that seems to be quite common. The food, however, was very good and made the experience worthwhile.

Lassu Cafe in Lindos offers a remarkable dining experience with its stunning view of Lindos Village and the Acropolis. Upon arrival, guests are warmly greeted by Ana and Dimitri, who provide exceptional service throughout the meal. The food at Lassu is exceptional, with a variety of delicious Greek dishes that satisfy even the most discerning palate. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, making it an ideal choice for both families and couples seeking a tranquil dining experience.
The location is amazing, with a rooftop which has a view to whole Lindos. We had only starters to share, starting with the magnificent homemade Domades (?), the meatballs from the Grandmother, fresh Greek Salad, where the owners were surprised when we said it's the best Greek salad we ever had, and finishing off with the Tuna Tartar, which was ok, but we wouldn't order again. At the end we got some free shots, small gesture, but creates empathy. The waiters were very nice. If you go, ask what is homemade!
Bernardo S — Google review
Lovely meal at sunset - great views of the area from the roof top. We had the caesar salad & gardener's tagliatelle and they were both good and generous portions. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Rachael N — Google review
I’m lucky to have been to Lassu twice in the last week. Staff are extremely friendly and are family! - and very nice to talk to and spend time with. They remember details between visits, and take the time to know the people they cook and serve food to. I enjoyed being with these wonderful people! The three cats who call the restaurant home (Tito, Mito and their momma) are also beautiful, friendly cats! The food - it’s Lindos - it’s all great food. But Lassu stands tall even against the largest and most well known restaurants in the village. After 20 years of staying regularly in Lindos I can confirm that Lassu is a top meal. The best of my stay this year. The view is unparalleled- the highest viewpoint, adjacent to the Acropolis and with a beautiful view over town and the sea. Give it a go. If you only eat 1 meal here during your stay, this should be the one you try!
Jack M — Google review
Great food, service and views over Lindos. Does not feel like a tourist trap like other places nearby. Will definitely return!
Tom L — Google review
Be careful here, the same menu is marked up with different key ingredients. Apparently the caesar salad came with pork, but one menu had this ingredient written out in pen, whilst the other one had no mention of pork at all… not great. In terms of everything else, the food was very limited, the waitress was lovely though, and the atmosphere was decent.
C4LIBEE — Google review
Nice meal with a wonderful view. The service was ok but I think it was very busy. The food was very good and wine was decent. No complaints. Definitely worth checking out for the seabass and the view!

We arrived with a large group (6 adults, 2 kids) and were easily accommodated on the rooftop terrace. Service was fantastic by any standard, and they went the extra mile to make sure the kids were happy! Food was fantastic, wine was great, and the view of the city & acropolis was lovely.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Tsambika Beach. Not quite as popular as Lindos Acropolis, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Outdoor Activities
Tsambika Beach is a popular destination on the island of Rhodes, offering a long stretch of golden sand between rocky headlands. The calm and shallow waters make it ideal for families to swim and play. The beach is well-organized with supporting facilities such as restaurants, sunbeds, and water sports centers. Accessible by public transport, this family-friendly outing provides opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying refreshments from small snack bars.
This in one of many beautiful beaches in Rhodes. So many to choose from. But tsambika beach is all sand!! And parking very easy. Nice clear shallow water for little ones and older ones like my daddy. We parked literally a stones throw from loungers( which are only €20 for 2 loungers and umbrella. Food and drink was also good value. Servers are there to take payment of loungers and food. Now if you drive you drive down long winding road, from main road tho beach must be a good mile walk, in heat, no joke! But if you drive , there is lots of parking. Watch out for potholes at bottom and drive slow. I suggest take a right at bottom of hill. Lovely sandy beach.
Darren H — Google review
Absolutely loved it! We had the best experience and a wonderful time here. The beach is spacious, clean, and perfect for families with children. The water is calm and shallow near the shore, making it safe for kids to play. There are plenty of sunbeds, shaded areas, and good spots for snacks or drinks. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing and family-friendly beach in Rhodes!
Brenda Z — Google review
One of the best beaches in Rhodes! 🌊 The sea is crystal clear, the sand is soft and golden, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. Highly recommend visiting and enjoying this beautiful spot — clean blue waters and a stunning sandy beach 🏖️
Nergis Y — Google review
Great beach probably the best we visited in Rhodes,5 euro s bus from Rhodes town . Only 2 buses a day to get there and back . The sea was very calm and clear .It wasn't the cleanest beach I've visited in Greece.20 Euros for 2 sunbeds and a umbrella.
Tim E — Google review
The beach has a beautiful view of the sea and the sand is soft and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing day by the water. However, some areas could use a bit of attention — the toilets were either dirty or closed, and the facilities overall feel a little old and worn. Sunbeds aren’t free, so be prepared to pay extra if you want one. There’s also a nudist section at the far end of the beach, which is good to know depending on your preference. With a bit of TLC and better maintenance, this could easily be a top spot.
Viola K — Google review
Amazing beach, clean water, sandy beach. We spend whole afternoon there. Would highly recommend if you have family, as the water is very calm.
Parag C — Google review
Lovely small beach between rock and sea. Plenty of sun beds available. We found a place with €15/day for two. Changing cabin, beach showers and tarvernas available. Very quiet and calm atmosphere, while we were there. Free parking in the area.
Adrian G — Google review
Beautiful clear gently shelving water. Soft sand and plenty of free parking and amenities/ free toilets. We didn't hire beds. Park at the furthest left, near the Greek flag rock. Plenty of space to plonk down your towel.

Restaurant
Nestled just a short drive from the charming town of Lindos, Ktima Lindos is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Perched atop a hill, this mountain-top restaurant boasts breathtaking views that are perfect for a romantic evening or special celebration. With outdoor seating alongside an infinity pool, guests can sip cocktails while soaking in panoramic sunset vistas illuminated by twinkling fairy lights as night falls.
An unforgettable experience at Ktima, Lindos. From start to finish, dining at Ktima was an absolute highlight of our trip. The setting is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever had a meal, with breathtaking views paired with a serene atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional across the board. Every member of staff struck the perfect balance, attentive without ever being pushy or interruptive. What seemed to be the head lady was simply amazing: warm, professional, and clearly passionate about making guests feel welcome. Toward the end of our meal, another member of the team, possibly a manager, came over to take payment. Rather than just processing the bill and moving on, he took the time to ask where we were from, where we were staying, and even offered thoughtful recommendations for other restaurants to try. It was a genuinely refreshing interaction that showed they care more about your experience than just your custom. The food was phenomenal. The seafood linguine, in particular, deserves a special mention. It was hands down the best bowl of pasta I’ve ever eaten. Every bite was packed with flavour, and it was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also excellent, beautifully made and perfectly balanced. On top of everything, the service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Ktima gets everything right, from location and ambiance to food and hospitality. If you’re in Lindos, do not miss this place.
Rob P — Google review
I had such a wonderful experience here! The cocktails were amazing, but the food was even more impressive. The view is truly remarkable, the kind you just don’t forget, and the team working there were so kind and helpful, making the whole evening even better. This place is definitely a must-stop when in Rhodes, and I’d absolutely go back again. Highly recommend!
Georgina T — Google review
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Ktima Lindos was disappointing enough that I feel it’s worth sharing. We ordered steaks medium, and they came out completely overcooked—not once, but twice. Despite giving them a second chance, the kitchen still couldn’t get it right. To make things worse, no refund or compensation was offered, just a shrug. The only redeeming factor here is the view, which is admittedly beautiful—but if you actually care about good food and service, stay away. Lindos has plenty of other restaurants that deliver both.
Viktor M — Google review
Ktima is a breathtaking terrace located in Vlycha beach with one of the best views ever. The location is elegant, charming and very romantic however we felt like the staff was a bit improvised and didnt know how to serve tables which made the experience a bit underwhelming. Prices are quite high (There is a minimum spend required depending on the area you have booked: 50 p.p / 75 p.p / and up). We felt like this rule didn't make a lot of sense because the restaurant is always pretty quiet and never super busy. Drinks were amazing and food was also great (some portions were pretty small though). Overall it was a good experience but I woudnt go back for the restaurant, just for drinks.

We've been to this place a few times now and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing, the drinks are spot on, and the views are unreal. The staff are super attentive and friendly — you really feel looked after. You can tell they really care about the place and their guests. Already looking forward to going back again!

We were lucky enough to be at a wedding here in July! Honestly no words for how amazing everything was! The staff, the location, THE FOOD! Everything was simply perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone who is dining or looking to get married here!

Ktima Lindos is hands down one of our favorite spots in Rhodes – we can’t seem to visit the island without coming here at least once. The setting is unreal, with views that make you just want to sit back, relax, and soak it all in. The food? Always amazing. Everything tastes so fresh, and you can tell a lot of love goes into every dish. The cocktails? Outstanding! If you like an espresso martini, Ktima’s will not disappoint! The staff are super friendly, and Manolis, the owner, treats you like you’ve known him forever. Nothing’s ever too much trouble – he genuinely just wants everyone to have a good time. Every time we come, it’s just as great as the last. Great vibes, fantastic food, lovely people – honestly, it’s a no-brainer recommendation.

Mavrikos is a renowned restaurant located in the charming village of Lindos, about 55 km from the center of Rhodes. Established in 1933 and currently managed by brothers Dimitris and Michalis Mavrikos, it has become a culinary institution known for its traditional Greek cuisine. The menu features dishes that highlight the freshest local produce, with an emphasis on sustainability and seasonality.
Probably the best meal i had in Greece! The fennel was special and tasted wonderful. People were super nice and friendly. Would defin come back just for this restaurant!

Food was excellent. The calamari with beetroot, ravioli with seafood and pork with rosemary and mustard were delicious. As was the tomato salad with sea fennel. Service was great too from our main waiter albeit that it could have been more welcoming on a night with fairly few people. Atmosphere would be wonderful if busier and proprietor was more welcoming. Wine list rather expensive.

A great find hidden in plain sight! A friend who’s from Lindos told us to visit for some of the most authentic Greek food in town-otherwise we’d do the same and walk straight past it as you come in and out of the main square. Highlights were taramasalata, spicy meatballs, calamari with saffron and the spinach risotto, which I’ll be thinking about for a while.
Meg P — Google review
Most probably the last real Greek or Rhodian restaurant left in Lindos. The furniture needs a refresh, but the food is rustic and exquisite, and the service staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are from Lindos!

If I could give more stars, I would. This was one of the best meals of my life, despite being with my kids. We were lucky to have the restaurant at lunchtime to ourselves. The owner gave us freedom to chose a table in the beautifully decorated dining area, and was friendly and incredibly kind, also with the little ones. Food was pure heaven, we tried their pita, three starters, one main, and a dessert. Everything was perfection and brought a piece of the history of this family-run establishment. The total bill was right under 100€, which might be a lot in absolute terms. However, not only it is aligned to the local environment, but it was more than worth it give what we enjoyed. Cannot wait to go back!

The worst place you could think of visiting. To be honest, I had this place saved on my list of recommended spots from TikTok, as someone mentioned it was in the Michelin guide. Since I was in Lindos, I thought it would be a good option for lunch. I was so disappointed I should’ve gone anywhere else. They even tried to add dishes to my bill that I never ate. When they bring you the check, you have to go to the counter to pay, and there they present you with a bill that includes dishes you sent back because they tasted horrible. When you question them about it, they pretend it was a mistake and say they’ll give you the money back in cash. Very shady and unprofessional, it’s the first time I’ve ever experienced something like this. Truly the worst experience and the worst place. The orzo pasta idk the Greek names tastes so bad they added a lot of cinnamon!! Have you tried a main course aka pasta with cinnamon ? Well here you will. Also tzatziki is the worst I’ve had in the entire life regardless of country Greece or not. It tastes like spoiled expired brewed vinegar idk what they add here. We sent it back to kitchen. Also staff are very questionable….. do yourself a favor, if you are on vacation go elsewhere lol

what a wonderful place and we were served by a man who looked (in a cool way) Billy Bob Thornton 👍 I had the Beef Souvlaki and you won't find it better at Rhodos. We drove by car and the destination was a nightmare to reach, but the food will make you forget that in a second 🌞

Hermes Restaurant offers delicious food with generous portion sizes and careful presentation. The Souvlaki is served on a proper metal spit, adding to the dining experience. Despite being reasonably priced, the restaurant maintains high quality. Guests can enjoy a pleasant view from the roof terrace, which provides shade for a comfortable dining experience. The covered roof terrace is an ideal spot to savor their delectable mixed grill and tzatziki while enjoying the friendly service and relaxed atmosphere that Hermes Restaurant is known for.
We had a really lovely lunch here when visiting Lindos on a Saturday in June. Originally we had to sit inside as the rooftop was full, but after about ten minutes they asked if we wanted to move and sit on the rooftop - we’re glad we did as it had lovely views of the sea and Acropolis. Really good portion sizes and delicious gyros and souvlaki! The staff we were really friendly as well. Would definitely recommend!

Palestra is a charming taverna located on the far side of the main bay in Lindos, run by Rosanna and her son Thomas. Visitors praise the tranquil atmosphere at Palestra, as it sits at the end of the beach, offering stunning views of the Lindos acropolis. The taverna provides sunbeds and umbrellas for comfort, while serving fantastic food that receives high praise from guests.
I had the spaghetti seafood, my partner had the sea bass. Both were perfect. Lovely beach front restaurant. 20 euro to hire sunbeds after lunch which we paid for with dinner bill. A little upset because people were coming along turning up using sunbeds and not dining or having recreshments and not being charged. That being said, food, drinks, location and service - Perfect. Reccomend.

Located on the far left of Lindos Beach, this is a wee gem of a restaurant. Lots of locals eat here, so you know it's good. It was recommended by the owner's son of my hotel, the Lindian Myth. I called in for some grilled octopus and a Greek salad, and a cold glass of wine. I wasn't disappointed, a fabulous lunch. Very much recommended for any time of the day, with great views of the bay.
Jonny B — Google review
Parking in Lindos costs €7 everywhere and they only accept cash, so make sure to bring some with you. We ended up at Palestra because we luckily found a parking spot right in front. Two sunbeds and an umbrella cost €30. The sunbeds were comfortable, but as someone who visits Greece regularly, I find the recent price hikes quite extreme—it’s starting to feel like Turkey’s inflation! Overall, parking and beach setup felt overpriced. The food, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise. Even though it’s a seafood restaurant, we ordered lamb chops, tzatziki, and fried zucchini/eggplant—and everything was tasty and well-cooked. Generous portions and good flavor. Definitely a strong point! The beach itself is beautiful, with clear turquoise water that stays shallow for a long stretch, which is great for families with kids. However, the number of boats around is overwhelming. There’s no clear area separating boats from swimmers, and at times rental boats passed uncomfortably close. Plus, there was a noticeable smell of gasoline in the water, which really took away from the experience. In summary: Nice beach and great food, but high prices and boat traffic are a downside.

We ate Lunch here and had a good time. The food was ok although I had the same dish in other restarants that was tastier. Nice location over looking the beach and Lindos town its just a shame they have killed the beach's look and feel with so many sunbeds. As with most of Lindos it is more expensive than many other places in Greece we have been.
