Mehrangarh Fort, dating back to around 1460, is one of India's largest forts. It offers lift access and galleries, guided tours, and shops for visitors. The best times to appreciate its architectural grandeur are at sunrise or sunset when the golden walls shimmer against the crimson sky. The fort stands tall at 400 feet amidst glittering blue homes and offers breathtaking panoramic views of Jodhpur. Additionally, it provides a chilling sense of history.
We recently visited Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur with our family and it was an amazing experience filled with history, art and breathtaking views! The fort is one of the most well-preserved and majestic in Rajasthan. From the grand entrance gates to the intricate carvings, jharokhas and massive courtyards, everything reflects the grandeur of Jodhpur’s royal era. The museum inside is beautifully curated, showcasing royal costumes, weapons, paintings and palanquins that bring the history of Marwar to life. The entry ticket for general visitors is ₹200 per person, and ₹100 for senior citizens. We also opted for a guide, which cost ₹600 for 5 persons group, the price varies depending on the group size. The guide was knowledgeable and made the tour more engaging with interesting stories and facts about the fort and its rulers. For those who prefer to avoid climbing steep paths, there’s also a lift facility available at ₹50 per person, which takes you up to the main courtyard level. We spent about 2–3 hours exploring the fort at a relaxed pace. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, you get a full panoramic view of the Blue City, especially beautiful during sunset. Inside, there are also clean washrooms, a nice café serving tea and snacks with scenic views, and a souvenir shop with good-quality local crafts. Overall, Mehrangarh Fort is a must-visit in Jodhpur, grand, informative and family-friendly. A perfect blend of history, architecture, and incredible views!

Visiting Mehrangarh Fort is always an amazing experience — I’ve been here twice, with a gap of 10 years, and the feeling of awe remains the same. The fort’s beauty and grandeur are truly timeless. Parking is available below the fort in a large designated area for around ₹50 per car. From there, you walk up to the entry gate to purchase your tickets. You also have the option to hire a guide or rent an audio device (about ₹180 per device). The audio guide works with numbered points displayed around the fort, making it easy to follow along with the history. There’s also a lift facility that can take you directly to the top, allowing you to explore the fort from top to bottom. However, if you take the lift, you will skip points 1–6, so make sure to listen to those explanations before you start, since the audio device has to be returned at point 33. Exploring the fort properly takes at least 1–2 hours, and every corner feels worth it. I also tried the Makhaniya Lassi at their café — definitely a good choice to refresh yourself during the visit. The staff at the fort are very humble and helpful, which adds to the experience. The only advice I would strongly give is: avoid visiting in the summer. The heat can be unbearable. The best time is during the core winter months.

This is one of the most important places to visit while in Jodhpur. This fort is amazing to see both inside and outside the fort. You can get here by Tuk Tuk and pay entry at the ticket office which starts at fort entrance. They accept card payments and also cash. It costs 800 Rupees per person to see the fort but worth it. You can spend approximately 2 hours here walking around and enjoying the historic buildings. It is quite warm here but there are cafes around the fort if you need to buy drinks. There are also toilets on site. I would highly recommend you visit this fort. You can also exit the fort through the Blue City side which is also another nice experience exiting the fort through the Blue City. It gets very busy from early. It is best to come at opening time which is 9am.

We visited Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur on March 1, 2025 with our family, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The fort stands as one of Rajasthan’s finest—beautifully preserved and showcasing the true splendour of Marwar’s royal heritage. From the moment you walk through the huge entrance gates, the grandeur is evident. Intricate carvings, elegant jharokhas, spacious courtyards and towering walls paint a vivid picture of the royal era. The museum is equally impressive, featuring royal costumes, weapons, miniature paintings and palanquins that perfectly capture the history and culture of Jodhpur. The entry fee is ₹200 per person, and ₹100 for senior citizens. We didn’t hire any guide but if you want you cant get guide there. For those who prefer not to climb the steep pathways, there is a lift service for ₹50 per person, which takes you directly to the main courtyard — very convenient, especially for families and elders. We spent about 2–3 hours exploring the fort at a comfortable pace. The views from the top are absolutely stunning — a full panoramic view of the Blue City, especially magical during sunset. The fort also has clean washrooms, a nice café offering tea and snacks with scenic views, and a souvenir shop with good-quality local handicrafts. Overall, Mehrangarh Fort is a must-visit in Jodhpur — grand, informative and family-friendly. A perfect mix of history, architecture and breathtaking views.

Absolutely stunning fort! The architecture, views, and museum displays are incredible. The view of the Blue City from the top is unforgettable. The fort is well maintained, clean, and has helpful staff. The audio guide adds great context to the history. It can get a bit hot, so try to visit early morning or evening. Truly a must-visit in Jodhpur!

We really loved visiting Mehrangarh Fort. It was built in 1459 by Rao Jodha and is one of the biggest forts in Rajasthan. The view from the top is amazing. Inside the fort, there is a museum where you can see old weapons, paintings, and royal items. The entry ticket is ₹200 for adults. If you have a student ID card, the ticket price becomes half. The place is very clean, well managed, and a must visit in Jodhpur.

A must visit if you want to get enamoured by ancient structures. Wonderfully preserved so well over the years overlooking the blue city of Jodhpur. Points of attraction - fort, stone carvings, painting, museum. Entry fee Inr 200 for Indians. Time required about 1.5 hours or more

Mehrangarh Fort, located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is one of the largest and most majestic forts in India. Perched atop a 410-foot high rocky hill, it dominates the city’s skyline and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the “Blue City” below. Built in 1459 by Rao Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur, the fort is an enduring symbol of Rajput strength, culture, and architectural brilliance. The massive complex is enclosed by thick walls and features a series of grand palaces such as Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Sheesh Mahal, each showcasing exquisite carvings, mirror work, and royal artifacts. The fort also houses one of the best-preserved museums in Rajasthan, displaying palanquins, weapons, paintings, and turbans that narrate centuries of royal history. Mehrangarh is not just a monument; it is an experience filled with vibrant traditions. The sound of folk music, the sight of intricately dressed guards, and the serenity of ancient courtyards transport visitors to a bygone era. Its imposing gates, including Jai Pol and Fateh Pol, still bear marks of historic battles. Today, Mehrangarh Fort stands as a proud reminder of Rajput valor and heritage, attracting travelers from around the world.

Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is a unique ecological park that offers a scenic walking trail leading to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. This desert park spans across 70 hectares of rocky land and was created in 2006 for the restoration of natural ecology. It features distinctive rock formations and a wide variety of native plants, including the lithophyte.
Beautiful Park to visit and see small wildlife and natural flora, very small rock and fauna museum but very interesting. The different tracks are easy to follow and go for long walks. Very well maintained with rest areas with shade. A must visit if you are a nature lover and like walking, great views close to the blue city

I enjoy a lot the walk around the roa Jodha park. Nice and quiet place, surrounded by green. I did the green trail and took me only 35 minutes slowly walking. The yellow was only 20 minutes. You can see the wall and another nice view of the fort and blue city. Outside they have clean toilets.

A very Unique where one can find different stones and walk a trail… In a walk there’s a different bird watching, a lake and the back side of mehrangarh fort… it’s worth a watch especially for nature lovers… the ticket price is 100 rs per adult

Went for morning trekking and it's a awesome place for bird watching . There are different tracks as per difficulty level, I was suggested for yellow tack however that's too easy and short, tried others too and on red found a lotus pond. Perfect view of fort and lake. I recommend to check those stones displayed outside the ticket counter, they are fossiles and some are very unique.

It was a very nice experience of trekking of 2 KM by foot through rocky desert hills with the experience of a lot of different varieties of plant species, birds, squirrels, lake and fishes, reptiles, wild pigs and vast view of Mehrangarh Fort and its boundary walls, zip lines. It will take a minimum of half an hour and maximum up to your interest. Entrance fee of Rs. 100/- to be paid and a Guided tours are also available with additional fees.

Resort hotel
RAAS Jodhpur is a refined hotel that combines sandstone and modern buildings, offering stunning views of the fort, fine dining options, and an outdoor pool. Located in the prominent north-eastern quarter of the famous Walled City, this hotel is built around an original eighteenth-century Haveli. The property features 39 lavish rooms and suites with intricate Haveli-style architecture. Guests can enjoy alfresco dining at the popular venue while overlooking the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort.
We were redirected to this accommodation when our original accommodation was booked for a wedding. Upon entering, the hotel is nestled in the heart of the city, and you feel somewhat immersed in the culture. The view of the Mehrangarh Fort is really beautiful, and you sort of get this sense like you're in front of the Parthenon in Greece. I believe the rock essence may contribute to this thought. 😜 Overall, the stay is lovely. The restaurants have a wide variety menu. (Which is great for my papa, who is 80 years old and is happy with hamburgers and fries) The staff here are all so kind and very accommodating.
Sally M — Google review
We went here in end of January and I think winters are the best time to visit the property. The location is nestled deep inside the market, so don’t It expect your car to take you all the way in — you’ll have to walk a bit. But once you reach, it’s totally worth it. The property is compact yet stunning, with every corner thoughtfully designed. It’s not a sprawling space, but the aesthetics are on point, creating a vibe that feels both intimate and beautifully curated. The rooms, though not very spacious, are tastefully done with traditional decor and modern comfort. Some of them open up to charming little balconies or windows that perfectly frame the fort view — waking up to that sight is something special. The interiors reflect the local heritage without feeling overdone, and the overall vibe is peaceful, making it a great stay for couples or solo travellers. The food was decent — not extraordinary, but it does the job. What truly stands out is the ambiance. If you’re in Jodhpur and looking for a charming spot to unwind, this place should definitely be on your list. A must-visit for the overall experience, especially if you appreciate good design and cozy space

Delightful all round. Wonderful rooms and restaurants too. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast and bar location. Hotel is ideally located to walk and enjoy the city. The only challenge the hotel could address is that due to the size of the roads access is challenging ( even impossible in a larger vehicle ) maybe a Hotel provided transfer rather than Tuk Tuk could be offered?

Had a wonderful dinner experience at Raas, with a beautiful view of Mehrangarh fort with lights. The menu was good and food was tasty. Overall experience was excellent. Since it was diwali, the streets were barricaded at janata sweets, so It's better to park the car at safe place and take an auto as lanes are narrow towards the hotel.
HariKiran R — Google review
We went there to have the dinner but it turned out to disaster. First, the roads are do narrow but blocked by locals. There was second road which also really bad. Somehow reached, there was no warm welcome. They took us directly to restaurant which is outside and near to the pool. No hygiene. So many insects and mosquitoes out there. We asked them to do anything related to it, they just moved the lamp little far to us, which did not help. Price wise it was a mess. Unnecessarily expensive. Portion size is extremely bad. Not sure why the rating is so high, but this is not of worthy at all

A beautiful boutique hotel situated in the heart of jodhpur. Haveli converted 5 star property with a magnificent view of the mehrangad fort especially when the fort is lit up in the evening. Walking distance to Ganta Ghar but because it's situated in the old city , accessibility to the hotel is a bit of a problem ( narrow lanes).lovely outdoor all day dining restaurant, a beautiful roof top bar which has a fort view is the highlight. Certainly gives you a feeling that you are living in Maharaja times

Can feel a clear difference in how they treat indians vs non indians. and everything else fails in front of this for me. No matter how great the property is, this difference just made my experience 0 So if you’re an Indian like me, don’t go. A potentially great place ruined by this experience.

Nestled in the heart of Jodhpur's Old City, Toorji Ka Jhalra Bavdi is a beautifully restored 18th-century stepwell adorned with exquisite sandstone carvings. This ancient marvel offers a captivating challenge for photographers, with its intricate designs, arched niches, and symmetrical patterns providing an ideal backdrop for capturing stunning images.
Toorji ka Jhalra is a historical place in Jodhpur and is located very near to Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower). It was really lovely to visit this place as it was very beautiful and peaceful, there is a little bit of crowd not overcrowded and yes this is an open place so no tickets for this place. Also the local boys jump from height directly into the water for their fun but it entertains the crowd as well. The steps here makes this place more beautiful

It doesn't have much to offer except the steep staircase you need to climb down. If the lighting is right the photographs you take might look good, otherwise they'll just look dirty. Not too crowded but it was very hot when we went. Overall worth a small visit after the Ghanta Ghar.

Toor Ji Ka Jhalra, also known as the Toorji Stepwell, is one of the most fascinating heritage spots in Jodhpur and an absolute must-visit for anyone exploring the Blue City. Located in the heart of the old city near the Clock Tower and Sardar Market, this centuries-old stepwell beautifully blends history, architecture, and culture in one frame. The structure is stunning — built from red sandstone with intricate carvings and symmetrical steps leading down to the cool green water. It’s an architectural marvel that reflects the brilliance of ancient Rajasthani craftsmanship. The best part is how the place still feels authentic and rooted in history, even though it has become a popular spot among tourists and locals alike. In the mornings, the site feels peaceful and perfect for photography or quiet reflection. By afternoon and evening, it livens up with people relaxing around, children diving into the water, and tourists capturing Instagram-worthy shots. The surrounding area is full of vibrant cafes, rooftop restaurants, and small handicraft shops that add to the charm — you can easily spend an hour or two here soaking in the atmosphere. The maintenance is fairly good, though it can get a little crowded during peak hours. Visiting early in the day is the best way to enjoy its calm beauty. If you’re a history lover, architecture enthusiast, or someone who enjoys exploring local culture, Toor Ji Ka Jhalra will not disappoint you. It’s not just a stepwell — it’s a living reminder of Jodhpur’s royal heritage and the importance of water conservation in desert architecture.

Ghanta Ghar Jodhpur, also known as the Clock Tower, is a prominent landmark in the bustling Sardar Market. Built in 1911, it showcases stunning Rajput architecture and intricate carvings. The tower serves as a navigational point and symbol of Jodhpur's rich heritage.
The Ghanta Ghar is far more than just a timepiece; it's the pulsating heart of old Jodhpur. This striking, 19th-century sandstone tower stands as the bustling gateway to the chaotic, vibrant Sardar Market. While the colonial-era architecture offers a fantastic photo opportunity (especially illuminated at night), the real magic lies in the panoramic views of the Blue City and Mehrangarh Fort from the top. Visit for the history, stay for the intoxicating mix of spices, handicrafts, and local life surging through the surrounding bazaar. A must-see spot that truly captures Jodhpur's energetic chaos.

Clock House Jodhpur (Ghanta Ghar): The Clock Tower of Jodhpur, locally known as Ghanta Ghar, was built in the late 19th century during the reign of Maharaja Sardar Singh (1880–1911) It was constructed as part of his efforts to modernize the city and serve as a public timekeeping structure. Located near the famous Sardar Market (also named after the Maharaja), the tower became a central landmark of the old city. The clock mechanism was imported from England, showcasing a blend of Indian architecture with British engineering. Made from local red sandstone, the tower reflects traditional Rajasthani architectural style and still stands as a symbol of the city's rich heritage and vibrant market culture.

The clothing store Vishal Mega Mart is a popular destination for shoppers in Jodhpur. It offers high-quality branded items as well as everyday items such as detergents, toiletries, utensils, and food items. The store is easy to find and has affordable prices. However, the store could use better staff guidance to help customers find what they need.

Tucked away in the JDH Project, Stepwell Café is a delightful retreat that invites visitors to experience Jodhpur's vibrant heritage while savoring a delicious cappuccino. The café boasts walls adorned with vintage photographs that celebrate Rajasthan's royal history, creating an ambiance steeped in nostalgia. Offering a unique blend of Indo-European cuisine, it fills an essential niche in the local dining scene with its comforting and satisfying dishes.
Wonderful setting for sundowner beer watching the world go by below. The lighting of the step well at sunset is gorgeous. Also tried the Cappuccino which was the best we have had in Jodpur. We are coffee addicts and try many coffees wherever we go before nominating our favourite. The Stepwellwell cafe gets the vote for Jodpur. Free biscuits too.

The cafe is made very asthetically. There is a main air conditioned area then there is a semi open place and then the rooftop. I was surprised to see they served beer on tap and also a full blpwn decently priced alcohol menu. I got both the tap beers. Honestly they werent worth 535 each after seeing how the manager had to fill it. It was so frothy something was up with the machine system. It was in April end and it was not the best time I understand. 10/10 for the place and vibe and stuff but not so much for the overpriced beer. I think I was way too excited to just have found hefe on tap on a random one day trip to Jodhpur. We didnt discover this cafe on our last visit to RAAS hotel for a meal. The area around is lovely and worth a visit just on a good time. The walk to the place is good. The step well view is exhilarating. We saw boys swimming in the heat jumping from different heights. Fun experience wish the beer was cheaper.

Situated inside the city. The view of the fort is amazing and keeps you mesmerised. Though it is there 7 to 9 as light goes off at 9 from the fort. So then you see it without the light. Come here by auto , as the lanes are quite narrow. Staff was good. Service was good too. Food was average. Rates are high for sure. We had drinks for 3 and food for 8 people. Paid 21000. Menu very limited. It’s all about the view and the drinks and somewhat food to accompany. Rating it 3 star overall.

Our experience at this place was pleasant, and we visited twice. On one occasion, we went to have pasta, which was delicious and tasty. On the other visit, we simply came to enjoy a cup of tea and the experience was equally enjoyable. The service was great in both instances. The atmosphere is nice, making it a great place to visit, the food is expensive though.

I visited Step Well Café after seeing it on Instagram, and it really does have stunning views of Toorji ka Jhalra. 🌊✨ The café is tucked inside the narrow lanes, just about a 5-minute walk from Clock Tower, and the entrance itself is very aesthetic with a lovely blue street wall. It’s a small café with cozy seating, but what makes it special is the calm and serene view of the stepwell. There’s also a rooftop sitting area where you can relax and enjoy the vibe, and you can even head directly down to the stepwell from here. I tried their pasta and coffee, and both were delicious. 🍝☕ The combination of good food and a beautiful view made it a memorable stop during my Jodhpur trip. Overall: a charming little spot with aesthetic vibes, tasty food, and a unique view of Toorji ka Jhalra — definitely worth a visit!

A must in Jodhpur! Stepwell Café blew us away. The rooftop view is absolutely breathtaking—one of those “pinch me” moments. The food was sensational from start to finish: fresh, vibrant flavors and beautifully presented plates. What really sets this place apart is the hospitality: warm, attentive, and genuinely kind without ever feeling pushy. We lingered longer than planned because everything was so good—the vibe, the view, the service. If you’re in Jodhpur, don’t miss it. Five stars, hands down.
Fabrizia B — Google review
We went to the step well as a family. There the ambience was good and the view from the rooftop was the only attraction. We were disappointed by the service staff who was a super rude dude. We were expecting warmth and smile he was behaving as if he was forced to work there. The cafe I guess just wants to entertain the foreigners and not Indians the prices are just exorbitant and the behaviour was very cold. We don’t take such attitude casually. My daughter asked for here favourite dishes if they could make them. The response was very harsh and cold. We had ordered in advance else we would have left for good. The taste was good to pathetic we ordered three dishes, pasta was good, fries just like any other nothing great and pizza was pathetic. I don’t know whether the owner of the cafe sees the reviews or not but this is to addressed. Keep good staff not Uncles and if you don’t want Indians tell us in advance. If you charge good serve well. No wonders the ratings are just okay, & one more thing they take SERVICE CHARGE which is not allowed as per law and they charge GST on it Which is even more disgusting. Would suggest people to try some other place.
Kyara V — Google review
I would give it a solid 5 on atmosphere. The view is great.you can choose to sit wgatever view you prefer.there have 3 levels of seating offering a different view. Food is pretty average and staff is polite. I suggest going there before sunset so that u can have great pictures and also stay there till post sunset and get a view of the fort in the night

Both Indian and Western menus with extensive offering and good service, view of the fort is spectacular. We had a few pure veg dishes as well. Awesome view of the Fort as the lights came on. The desserts are amazing and so are the drinks . The view is nice and dinner is highly recommend and they have very nice ambience. Staff is very courteous and overall feel is enough to soak you into the royal feel of Rajasthan. Must visit place in Jodhpur and i would personally stay here on my next visit to Jodhpur.

Amazing Outdoor Seating arrangements, Light Soulful Music , Candle Light Dinner, Fast Service,Sanitized Environment, Night View of Mehrangarh Fort & atlast the Polite Gestures of the Staff make this property a must visit for having a Candle Light Dinner with your Better Half or Your Lovely family as we did by going there Food Quality was also Good even the Portion size and the prices of the Dish. For Dinner it will not cost you more than Rs 3000 to Rs 3500 per person including alcoholic beverages. The only thing which I found missing was a Beautiful Aromatic Breeze Of Fragrance that will surely uplifts the environment after all 5 Senses matters a lots. Remember Zomato Pro / Easy Dinner/ Dineout discount is not applicable over here. Better book a table on call before going there. 4/5 Star to this Heritage Property.

Menu not updated in Google. Food taste not good if compared to the price they are charging. Food quantity is very less. Ordered non veg platter which comes with 6 different type of kebabs, not even one tasted good. Lobster was also so so.

I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly disappointed. The food quality was terrible – tasteless and lacking any freshness. To make things worse, the portion sizes were shockingly small, leaving us hungry after a full meal. On top of that, the prices are unreasonably high, especially considering the poor taste and small servings. They definitely need to improve the food to match the steep prices they’re charging. And to add insult to injury, the taxes were much higher than expected. Not worth the money at all.

Indian sweets shop
Shri Mishrilal Hotel is a beloved sweet shop and cafe located near the Southern Gate of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It's renowned for its Makhaniya Lassi, a creamy and flavorful drink that attracts both locals and tourists. The shop offers an array of traditional treats including sweets, pakoras, snacks, and namkeens.
Grabbed a takeaway from this iconic little shop near the Clock Tower. The lassi was super thick and creamy – just perfect. Tried the strawberry lassi too, really refreshing. The rabri was rich and absolutely delicious. Super busy place, but totally worth stopping by. Quick service even with the crowd!
Priyanka B — Google review
Do not miss this place if you are Jodhpur. Shri Mishrilal Hotel is located very close to Ghanta Ghar or clock tower. This 90 year old shop is famous for its Makhaniya lassi and rabdi. We tried Makhaniya lassi (Rs. 50) and Dal ka halwa (Rs. 60). Other items like Gulab jamun, pede, kachori, kalakand, sohan ka halwa, Besan chikki etc are served. The place is always crowded but the service is super fast. Pocket friendly place. During my three days stay, I visited this place twice. It's must visit place for lassi lovers.
Lakshmi B — Google review
Makhaniya Lassi in Jodhpur is definitely an experience. It’s super thick, creamy, and almost feels like eating shrikhand rather than drinking lassi. If you’ve had lassi in Punjab or Delhi, this might surprise you because it’s a little sour and much heavier. Honestly, it wasn’t really my taste since I prefer the smooth, drinkable style of lassi but I can see why locals love it. Maybe it’s the weather or the desert conditions here that make this version so popular. Still, worth trying once for the unique Jodhpur twist, even if it’s not the kind of lassi I’d usually go for.
Eddy S — Google review
The place is in conjugated place. So much traffic. However, the lassi taste was good. We tried their makkan and mango lassi. Both were amazing. Please go by walk if you want a peaceful experience
Aravind R — Google review
Visited Shri Mishrilal Hotel near the Clock Tower, one of the most popular spots in Jodhpur, especially known for its Makhaniya Lassi. The lassi was thick, creamy, and rich in flavor, definitely refreshing on a hot day. However, it’s very sweet, a bit too sugary for my taste, so those who prefer less sweetness might find it a little heavy. Still, it’s a must-try experience given its fame and the number of visitors and celebrities who’ve stopped by. Perfect if you’re looking for a classic Jodhpur treat and a quick sugar boost!

Service has really gone down. We politely asked for a disposable spoon but the waiter brought it in his hand, then unnecessarily changed the whole glass and spoon. Gurunanak Lassi Olympic is much better.

Tried the kesar pista, strawberry and mango lassi. Loved the strawberry and kesar pista flavours. It was so thick and filling. There were so many strands of saffron in the kesar pista lassi. All of them were sealed cups. You can carry them home and drink it the same day.

Friendly and charming staff who showed us to a table with a not very good view of the fort with a promise to move when a further table became available. A promise that they kept. Had cold beer and cocktails - the old fashioned was good but a pretty short measure frankly. We had laal maans, veg rice and some breads. It was a lovely evening and chilled on top of the roof. Highly recommended. Not the cheapest but it does what it says on the tin.

Jodhpur is one town full of culture and traditions. We can call it Maharaja city of Rajasthan. Indique is one of the most memorable moment in the trip. We were suggested this place and it was more than we expected.  Best time to visit the restaurant is evening after 630 pm and best place to sit is rooftop. On one side is Ghanta Ghar, other side fountain and backdrop is Mehrangarh Fort. The food was awesome,  we started with Chicken Tikka, tender and just the best of spices  and ended with Lal Maas and Bajra roti, absolutely authentic.  Our server Mr. Harchand Ram took well care. Later we wished to speak to the chief chef. Mr. Vishal Gautam was extremely pleasant personality to speak to. He shared few secrets which made their food best in town. Hats off to Vishal who prepares the best food in Jodhpur.  Whenever you are visiting this town,  never miss it, its mesmerizing. The best of view and the best of food in town.

We got here on recommendation of other tourists we met, but unfortunately our experience was not at all good. It started off well with proper cocktails and great starters, but the mains were all wrong. My husband had little bone fragments in his mullet dish that were really sharp and could have seriously injured him. No apology was given. The saffron risotto was way too salty. The desserts were allright, but I’ve had better Gulab jamun from a street vendor. Worst of all was that the mullet dish was still on the bill, and we had to ask for it to be scratched off. In order to do so, we had to fill out a really extensive complaint form. What kind of customer service is that?! All that time also zero apologies… then at the end we had to pay separate bills for foods and drinks, which caused our card to block because the bank thought we were being scammed. Again no apology for the inconvenience that caused us. They truly have a lot to learn with regards to customer service, it really is below standards.

Mandore Garden, located about 9 km north of Jodhpur, is a historic site that once served as the capital of the Marwar kingdom in the 6th century. The garden is famous for its temple-like cenotaphs (chhatris) dedicated to Marwar’s former rulers, especially the grand memorial of Maharaja Ajit Singh. It also features the Hall of Heroes with rock-carved statues of Rajput warriors, a temple dedicated to 33 crore Hindu gods, and a museum displaying ancient artifacts. Surrounded by lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and serene landscapes, Mandore Garden beautifully combines royal history, architecture, and nature, making it a peaceful attraction for visitors to Jodhpur.
AVIJIT D — Google review
Nestled just outside the bustling city of Jodhpur, Mandore Garden offers a serene and historically rich escape from the typical Rajasthani fort and palace itinerary. This sprawling garden complex, the ancient capital of the Marwar region, feels more like an enchanting, overgrown sanctuary than a manicured park. The main attraction is its stunning collection of dewals, or cenotaphs, built in memory of Jodhpur’s rulers. Unlike the typical chhatris found elsewhere, these are immense, temple-like structures, featuring intricately carved red sandstone facades that soar multiple storeys high. The Hall of Heroes, with its giant, brightly painted figures of deities and Rajput warriors, adds a unique folk-art charm. Monkeys playfully scamper across the lawns and ancient structures, adding to the garden's lively, untamed atmosphere. The overgrown foliage and the quiet, almost mystical ambiance make it a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll. Climb up to the higher terraces for beautiful views and to explore the rock-cut hall and temple. Mandore Garden is a captivating blend of history, architecture, and nature. It’s a less crowded, more relaxed alternative to Mehrangarh Fort, offering a poignant and picturesque glimpse into Rajasthan’s regal past. A must-visit for those seeking a different side of Jodhpur.

must-visit destination for anyone interested in architectural heritage, the Mandore Gardens is a beautiful garden that delights people of all age groups on their Jodhpur tour. A deeply peaceful and divine spot. The natural setting amidst the hills near Lal Sagar is incredibly calming, offering a true spiritual retreat away from the city noise. Perfect for quiet contemplation. Jai Santoshi Maa! This is one of the most revered and unique Santoshi Mata temples. The "Pragat" (self-manifested) idol, believed to emerge from the natural rock, gives it immense power and historical significance. A genuine Shakti Peeth experience. Absolutely must visit on a Friday! The devotional atmosphere is electric and vibrant, though be prepared for crowds. Remember the traditional offering of only gur (jaggery) and chana (gram). A Peaceful Visit to Jaswant Thada, Jodhpur My visit to Jaswant Thada in Jodhpur felt like stepping into a marble dream. This beautiful white cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, gleamed under the bright Rajasthan sun. Surrounded by peaceful gardens and overlooking the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, it offered a perfect blend of history and tranquility. The intricate marble carvings reflected the skilled craftsmanship of the Rajput era. As the gentle breeze carried the sound of temple bells, I felt a deep sense of calm. Jaswant Thada isn’t just a monument—it’s a poetic reminder of Jodhpur’s royal grace and timeless beauty.

I just loved Jaswant Thada, white marble architecture, with delicate lattice work and intricate carvings a magnificent marble cenotaph, was built in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II by the Marwar rulers. Known for its architectural excellence, the monument is adorned with intricate carvings and domes, epitomizing the Rajputana style. its beautiful marble architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning views of the nearby Mehrangarh Fort & a calm and serene environment to spend specious time with loved ones, You will need approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete visit The Jaswant Thada was erected entirely of Makrana marble, Jaswant Thada's principal memorial is a pavilion‑style cenotaph composed of intricately carved, paper‑thin marble sheets that glow warmly under sunlight Nearby : Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, and Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park Timings: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ticket prices 50rs for Indians 100rs for foreigners.

A serene, pure white marble cenotaph dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Its delicate, intricately carved lattice work allows sunlight to filter through, giving the structure a beautiful, ethereal glow. Offers peaceful gardens and stunning panoramic views of the Mehrangarh Fort and Jodhpur city. A must-visit for architecture and history enthusiasts.

This is very nice to see. It is located very close to the fort. You can spend approximately 1 hour here taking nice photographs of the temple and also you can see the fort from a different perspective. The entry fee is 100 Rupees per person and they also accept card payments. There is also toilets on the grounds. If you are visiting the fort visit this place also. It gets warm very quickly here so come as early as you can. It opens at 9AM.

We visited Jaswanth Thada around 10 AM, and it turned out to be the perfect time, the place was calm with very little crowd. The white marble monument looked absolutely stunning in the morning light, and the whole atmosphere felt serene. The entry fee was ₹30 per person for Indians, and as we walked around, a musician was playing the Ghoomar tune on a Ravanhatta. The music blended beautifully with the surroundings and added so much charm to the experience. We ended up spending almost an hour here, just taking in the architecture, the views, and the peaceful ambiance. A lovely spot to unwind and enjoy Jodhpur’s heritage.

Jaswant thada also known as the taj mahal of jodhpur, was built in remory of Maharaja Jaswant singh 2 and is within or nearby the complex housing the Mehrangarh fort. The white marble structure with lake on one side and the Mehrangarh fort walls on the other side, looks really majestic. The complex also houses beautiful garden and is worth a visit.

Shopping mall
The Blue City Mall, situated on 12th B Road near Ajit Colony, Sardarpura in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is a prominent shopping destination with a contemporary design and an extensive range of retail options. It features both national and international brands offering fashion, electronics, and lifestyle products. Visitors can enjoy leisure activities such as gaming and dining at the food court while exploring globally recognized brands.
Located on 12th B Road, near Ajit Colony and Sardarpura, The Blue City Mall is a modern shopping and entertainment spot in Jodhpur. It’s just a 10‑minute drive (≈2 km) from both Jodhpur Railway Station and Jodhpur Cantt station, and about 6 km (15–20 min by car) from Jodhpur Airport (JDH) . Ample parking and easy access make it ideal for families and friends. You’ll find stores like Westside alongside casual brands, though it's not a large mall by metro standards . Skydeck-The highlight is Skydeck, a stylish rooftop restaurant-bar with panoramic views over the city. The ambience is upscale and relaxing—perfect for unwinding over drinks or dinner, with average costs around ₹700 for two . It’s a lovely spot to catch a sunset or celebrate a special evening. Miraj Cinema-On the 3rd floor, Miraj Cinemas offers a clean, modern multiplex with current Bollywood blockbusters—3D and 2D—as well as English films . Showtimes are frequent, and it features standard snack counters with popcorn, soft drinks, and parking convenience. This smaller-scale yet vibrant mall combines shopping, leisure, good food, and movies all under one roof. Minor drawbacks include limited brand variety and occasional cleanliness lapses reported by some visitors . Still, the rooftop dining and multiplex add significant value—perfect for a relaxed day out in Jodhpur with easy access from both train stations and the airport

This shouldn't be called as mall. There is only 1 shop westside, 1 theatre and 1 restaurant. No food court or no other shops. Westside collection was good. But this isn't mall.

This is the place which is located on the top side so you can easily witness the blue city Jodhpur and enjoy the city view. But, unfortunately there is a lack of trees and a dense garden. Therefore, many people avoid visiting this place to protect them from sunlight especially in summer. Apart from that the management are looking forward to planting more trees here.

It's a wee bit of a garden patch on top of a hillock from where we can see most of the city of Jodhpur. Better to visit in the evening for a great view of the sunset, be mindful of the closing hours though.

It is wonderful monument dedicated to Shree Veer Durgadas Ji, who fought all his life to reclaim Jodhpuri Raj from Mughals and succeeded also. It’s very spacious and open place with ample parking for car and 2 wheelers. Ticket per person is justo 20 ₹ and 10₹ for vehicle parking. Garden is well maintained. You can buy small snacks and cold drinks as well inside the monument. City view is amazing from here, with binoculars you can see the Mehrangad fort as well as Ummed bhavan too. All those revered our golden history must visit here and see the monument.

While this is a decent property it is not suited for a business travellers. The place is perennially noisy and the so called Heritage room was nothing to write home about. South Indian restaurant
If you are in Jodhpur and crave some delicious south Indian dishes, then the restaurant Sankalp is the place you are looking for. The food is excellent, with superb taste and courteous staff. However, the standard isn't the same as it is in Ahmedabad. The signage needs to be replaced, but parking is available in the main road itself.
Had an unforgettable meal at one of the best restaurants in town! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was classy, the service was warm, and the food? Absolutely divine. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor — especially the [insert favorite dish, e.g., "butter garlic prawns" or "wood-fired pizza"]! 🍽️✨ Perfect spot for date nights, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something special. Highly recommended!

If you’re craving authentic South Indian food, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The taste can vary — sometimes the dishes are absolutely delicious, while at other times they can feel a bit average. However, when it’s good, it’s really good! One of the highlights is the traditional South Indian paan they serve at the end of the meal, which is a lovely touch and rounds off the experience nicely.
Jyoti M — Google review
After a long time of routine North Indian and Rajasthani cuisine, a holiday meant going a bit off track... And as we all know, south Indian food in this belt is a bit dangerous(Hahaha). But seeing a lot of positive reviews, we tried संकल्प, in जोधपूर. Pros:- 1. Super tasty chutneys 2. Sollid fillings in dosas 3. Authentic tamil sambar And a few new wacky combos like Chaos dosa, Spooky dosa, etc.. Overall a nice trial, and will surely repeat if I get bored of daal-roti! Cons:- 1. Too much filling, too little dosa 2. Too much beetroot in spooky dosa makes it sweet-ish.. 3. Waiters are really fast. They don't wait to give you the bill, even though you've not yet finished..

We Ordered combo of 3 dosas and Filter coffee. All dosas were served with 3 types of chutney and sambhar. Dosas were nice and crispy. Chutneys and sambhar has authentic taste. Filter coffee was good. Ambience was nicely done. Place is on road just near to jaljog circle. Mostly a fmaily place. Staff was polite and service was quick.

Sankalp continues to be one of the good places for South Indian meals. It's a purely vegetarian restaurant and one can enjoy the table service. I visited after many years I guess - covid pandemic ++ years. The normal order would have been masala dosa but we opted for Kaikari biryani, Bagale bhath and Kesari. The food is still good and it's wonderful to see that they have maintained their quality for so many years. They still have so many varieties of dosa and uttapam. The food was piping hot, the serving time was quite short and our server was very polite. The meal ended with the customary paan. We enjoyed our meal and the hospitality. Thank you Team Sankalp 👍👍

With its inviting open-air setting and casual indoor seating options, it creates a perfect atmosphere for enjoying meals with friends and family. Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3/5) Visited Hari Vedas recently. The place has a clean and simple setup—comfortable enough for a casual meal, though nothing particularly stood out. Service was okay. Staff were polite, but things moved a bit slow. We had to follow up on water and sides, even though it wasn’t very crowded. I ordered the Malai kofta. It looked nice and the portion was good, but the taste was just average. Not bad, but not something I’d come back for either. Overall, it’s the kind of spot that’s fine if you’re already in the area and want a quick meal. Probably wouldn’t go out of my way to return, but not a bad option if you’re nearby.
Puja D — Google review
Hari Vedas, a well-known dining spot in Jodhpur, left much to be desired during out recent visit. While the location is decent, parking is a hassle with limited spaces available on the road. Restroom found to be extremely dirty - a clear red flag for any establishment. The service was disappointingly poor, marked by a lack of attentiveness. The starters, which we had been looking forward to, fell far short of expectations in both quality and presentation so as the buffet dinner. Despite repeated requests, the staff couldn’t manage to serve them on time, and they only arrived a few minutes before the main course—hardly ideal pacing for a meal. The dining hall itself was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, and the situation wasn’t helped by the kitchen being located within the same space. The constant movement of supplies from the kitchen to the restaurant below created an additional nuisance, disrupting what should have been a pleasant dining experience. Even the manager on duty seemed helpless to address these issues, which speaks volumes about the management’s oversight. In nutshell: from cleanliness to service to the food itself, it failed to live up to its name.

Worst, worst, WORST experience of dining till today. Neither the food was good nor the service. With Empty restaurant they took more then 90 minutes to serve the buffet. Every item which was supposed to be served was very much delayed and not up to the Mark. Instead they were focused towards serving the Zomato and Swiggy orders. The icecream was served after we were out of the restaurant, believe me the service is worst. Think twice before going there

This is a review the Museum part of the palace and not hotel itself. They charge 250 Rupees per person to see the Museum. The website states 100 Rupees. Extremely deceptive advertising or laziness in updating the website. You pay entry to see the court yard and a artifacts. It is very misleading the website Museum letting you think you see more parts of the palace inside. You do not see any part of the inside palace if you pay for the Museum. It is a total waste of money, time and experience to even bother coming to see the palace Museum. I cannot understand the 5 star reviews for the Museum part as you don't get to see any other art of the inside rooms or main palace. It is actually better to stand outside on the main road or even walk to the palace to get nice views than pay 200 Rupees to see a court yard and a shop where they sell commercial products. The palace is beautiful on the outside but not worth the entry fee at all. To all foreign tourists don't bother wasting your time and money on visiting this palace unless you intend to actually stay in the hotel. Don't be fooled either by many posts locals post as many are posting the wrong pictures of other places. You literally get to see the outside of the palace and a court yard. The Museum itself is no better than just watching a documentary on YouTube. The entry fee here particularly for tourists is a total scam. Also they have card machines at entry but advise they don't accept card payments. They only accept cash from foreign tourists. Save your 200 Rupees and visit the Fort. Far better scenery, far better history and more importantly you actually get to see a palace there not unlike the false advertisement on their website. This place and City palace in Jaipur a total scam.

Umaid Bhavan Palace is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of royal heritage and architectural beauty. The palace grounds are well maintained, offering breathtaking views and a true royal experience. A must-visit landmark in Jodhpur that reflects the city’s rich history and grandeur. 👑✨

Not a guest at the hotel. I was visiting the Palace Museum. The entrance has pretty steep steps, no railing provided. It is a challenge for senior citizens and the differently abled. The washrooms are woefully inadequate for the rush of visitors and there is nobody to service the dirty toilets. All in all, a sad experience in one of the most beautiful places.

Umaid Bhawan Museum, located in Jodhpur city, is a popular tourist spot and one of the best attractions in the area. The museum is housed within a portion of the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace, with other parts serving as a luxurious hotel and residence for the royal family. It showcases an impressive collection of antiques that belonged to the maharajas and displays intricate artwork, providing insight into the history of the Suryvanshi dynasty.
Visited Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum in Jodhpur — a beautiful glimpse into the royal heritage of Rajasthan. The museum showcases royal artifacts, vintage furniture, clocks, and photographs that tell the story of Jodhpur’s royal family and the making of this grand palace. The interiors are elegant, and every corner reflects classic art-deco design. Even though only a part of the palace is open to the public, the section we explored was well maintained and full of interesting displays and the overall vibe of the place feels truly royal. A must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, and heritage.

A beautiful and grand modern palace that still houses the royal family of Jodhpur. Only a small section of the palace is open to the public as a museum, but it’s well-maintained and gives a glimpse into royal life. You can also see the vintage car collection of the Maharaja, which is quite fascinating. The architecture and interiors are stunning, showcasing luxury and heritage together. The gardens are vast and beautifully kept, and you’ll often spot many peacocks roaming around, especially near the lawns — though the main garden area isn’t open to the public. The palace sits atop a hill, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Jodhpur city. Parking is available outside the main boundary. The tour is relatively short but worth visiting for the royal vibe and stunning views.

We visited Umaid Bhavan on a weekend around 12:30 PM, and as expected, it was a bit crowded. Just past the entrance, we found a stall selling delicious kulfi — a small but very welcome treat in the heat. The entry is restricted to only a limited section of the palace, mainly the central museum area. While the accessible part is relatively small compared to the entire property, it still offers beautiful glimpses of the royal interiors, vintage collections, and the palace’s history. Overall, it’s a nice stop if you’re exploring Jodhpur, but be prepared for crowds during weekends and remember that only a portion of the palace is open to the public

Royal Grandeur Meets Automotive Elegance – Umaid Bhawan Museum The Umaid Bhawan Museum, housed within one wing of the majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace, offers a fascinating glimpse into the regal lifestyle of the Jodhpur royals. The museum showcases an exquisite collection of artifacts, vintage clocks, royal portraits, and personal items of Maharaja Umaid Singh. 🚗 Vintage Car Collection: One of the most captivating features is the outdoor display of classic vintage cars owned by the royal family. This museum will make you feel like in another era. As a foreigner, it made me have a deeper understanding of Indian culture especially Rajasthan. The artifacts, the view outside, the architecture, everything is magical. We went there on weekend so it is kinda busy with lots of people but not that suffocating. Overall, it is very nice.

My Must-Visit Review: Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum in Jodhpur If you are someone who loves historical places as much as I do, you absolutely must visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. This place isn't just a stunning building; it carries a deep history that truly touched me, and I want to share why I loved it so much! The Inspiring History of the Palace Itself The story of the palace, which is well-documented right inside the museum, is what makes this place so special. Our Jodhpur King, Maharaja Umaid Singh, began building this historical place in the 1930s not for personal luxury, but to help the Jodhpur people who were suffering from severe famine and drought (or as you said, a "pandemic"). The entire construction was a massive employment project designed to give thousands of people work, keeping them fed and safe during a devastating period. To see the historical accounts and photographs of the palace's making inside the museum makes this grand structure feel like a monument built with immense compassion. A Treasure Trove of History Inside the museum, you get to see so many amazing historical artifacts. If you like to see historical stuff up close, you will be completely in your element here, especially with these highlights: • The Clock Collection: There is a super collection of antique and ornamental clocks here! You can see clocks of all shapes and sizes, including unique designs in lighthouse and windmill shapes. • Royal Paintings: You'll also find beautiful paintings, including miniature paintings and murals, that showcase the artistic and cultural history of the royal family. • Other Collectibles: Beyond those, the museum is full of other stuff like royal memorabilia, beautiful crockery, antique furniture, and historical photographs. My #1 Recommendation: The Vintage Cars! You definitely should visit here for all the historical items, but especially for the vintage cars. The collection of vintage cars is spectacular—they are a stunning sight to behold and were the highlight of my visit! It’s incredible to see such well-maintained pieces of automotive history right in the palace complex. My Final Word The Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum is a grand, historical masterpiece with an inspiring story behind it. It’s a perfect visit for anyone who appreciates the past, royal history, stunning artifacts, and, of course, amazing vintage cars! Don't miss it!

On The Rocks is a sophisticated restaurant located near Ajit Bhawan in the Blue City of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. It offers a fine dining experience with a menu featuring food from across Asia. The restaurant's artistic wooden chairs and European style fine dining environment create an aesthetic and comfortable ambiance. Guests can enjoy experimental gourmet dishes that present traditional recipes to gourmet perfection while curated music plays softly in the background.
On The Rocks is truly one of the finest places I’ve ever visited. From the service, location, and food to the smallest details, everything here is simply outstanding. The restaurant, bar, and atmosphere together create an experience that feels complete and memorable. What makes it stand out is the old, aesthetic vibe – timeless, classy, and full of character. Definitely one of those places you’d want to visit again and again.

I recently visited On The Rocks, Jodhpur, and had an amazing experience! The ambiance is beautiful a perfect mix of charm and a modern vibe. The staff is courteous, service is quick, and the food is delicious. As a vegetarian, I loved their Pan-Asian dishes especially the Pad Thai noodles, wontons, and sushi. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly presented. A must-visit spot in Jodhpur for great food, lovely atmosphere, and top-notch service!

⭐️⭐️ (2/5) The ambience at On The Rocks, Ajit Bhawan is undoubtedly its highlight. The setting is elegant, atmospheric, and thoughtfully designed — it truly gives the impression of a 5-star property. Unfortunately, the dining experience did not match the surroundings. The food was below average in taste, quality, quantity, and flavours. Dishes lacked depth and refinement, and the portions felt insubstantial for the price point. Overall, the meal was disappointing and fell far short of expectations for a restaurant of this stature. Service was adequate but unremarkable. While staff were courteous, the attentiveness and efficiency expected in such a premium environment were missing. It felt more like a 3-star service experience in a 5-star ambience. In summary, On The Rocks is worth visiting if you want to enjoy the ambience, but if you are seeking a memorable culinary experience, the food and service leave much to be desired.

I came to this place because it’s definitely a must visit. I saw so many great recommendations. When I ordered, there was a bit of a language barrier with the server, and my order was misunderstood. I repeated it and even showed photos to another server of what I wanted. They brought my food along with an extra dish I didn’t order. It seemed like a genuine misunderstanding due to the language issue, but unfortunately, I had to speak to a third server to clarify. I then overheard the staff explaining the situation to a manager, and it felt uncomfortable and a bit unpleasant. I can tell the servers weren’t very happy and I am sorry about it. In the end, I decided to take my food to go and I left. I would suggest having a server with a stronger level of English for tourists.

One time visit i say . Near Ajith Bhavan circuit house. But non veg not good as hype ! Almost everything is exceptional, the vibe, food, property and welcoming behaviour of the staff. The staff though was helpful and polite and they replaced the glass and spoon when I let them know about it. Other than this issue, I like everything about this place. I would recommend visiting this place for both lunch and dinner as it has a completely different vibe during morning and night. They also have an amazing bar. It's almost impossible to explain the vibe of it. You'll get to know it when you visit.

On The Rocks in Jodhpur has amazing ambience with both open and indoor seating. The entrance waterfall is very attractive and sets a nice vibe. The open area is lively while the indoor area feels cozy and private. Food is tasty, service is good, and overall it’s a must-visit place in Jodhpur.

We went to this place as per suggestion of a friend who is based in Jodhpur.Since it was a summer afternoon we opted for an indoor sitting. We tried Indian as well as Italian cuisine. We tried Panchmel subzi which is more like a mix veg along with butter roti and missi roti. You may find subzi little on spicier side, it makes sense to inform the staff in advance if you do not prefer spicy food. We also tried honey chilly potato and chicken penne pasta. Both the items were good but honey chilly potato also slightly spicy especially for children. Fresh lime soda was on sweeter side and sugar syrup was overpowering the overall blend. Staff here is helpful and cordial.

On The Rocks in Jodhpur is a perfect blend of a relaxed, inviting atmosphere and exceptional dining. Located in a convenient area with plenty of parking, it’s easy to enjoy a visit without worrying about finding a spot. The vibe of the restaurant is simple yet stylish, with a cozy and laid-back ambiance that makes it ideal for both casual meals and special nights out. The menu offers a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, catering to a wide range of tastes. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, and every dish feels carefully crafted to delight the palate. Their dal baati churma and vegetable curries are perfect for those craving traditional Rajasthani fare. One of the standout features of On The Rocks is its impressive bar area. The cocktails are expertly mixed, and the mocktail selection is equally refreshing. Whether you prefer a classic drink or something more creative, the bar offers a range of options to suit your mood. The staff here is exceptionally professional and incredibly polite, adding a personal touch to your dining experience. They are always on hand to ensure that everything runs smoothly and provide helpful recommendations, making the service feel both attentive and warm. It’s worth noting that On The Rocks does include a service charge, but given the quality of food, drinks, and service, it feels well-deserved. Overall, On The Rocks is a must-visit in Jodhpur for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a relaxed environment, with excellent service and a great selection of drinks. Whether you're stopping by for dinner, a drink, or just a casual hangout, it offers a memorable experience every time.

Nestled in the tranquil desert landscape of Rajasthan, Ajit Bhawan is a stunning heritage hotel that transports you back to the elegance of the 1920s. Originally built for Maharajadhiraj Sir Ajit Singh, this exquisite palace combines traditional Rajput charm with modern amenities, making it a unique oasis for travelers. The hotel features beautifully designed rooms and luxurious tents that cater to all types of guests, whether you're on a business trip or seeking leisure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an absolutely amazing experience here! The hospitality was beyond anything I’ve experienced before—every detail was taken care of with such warmth and care. Truly the best place to stay in Jodhpur. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city!

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed, which immediately gave us a sense of comfort and relaxation. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very well-equipped with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. What truly made the experience special, however, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly friendly, warm, and genuinely helpful. From the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant team, everyone went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Their attention to detail and kind gestures made us feel so welcome, almost like being at home. The food was also excellent – fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Combined with the great service, every meal was a delight. Overall, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. It’s not just a place to stay, but an experience of genuine hospitality. We are truly grateful for the memorable time we had here and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and enjoyable stay. Special mention to Bhom Singh , Ms Magan and the person at the gate.

Title: Extremely Disappointed – Zero Hospitality at Ajit Bhawan, Jodhpur We were a group of three couples and had initially booked Ajit Bhawan for 2 nights. On the 3rd day, since my train was at 11 PM, I requested a late checkout. The hotel insisted I pay for the entire day (₹7,000) — which I agreed to without hesitation, expecting some basic flexibility or understanding in return. But what followed was beyond disappointing. I checked out at 10 PM and reached the station with my wife, toddler, and 4-month-old baby, only to find that our train was delayed by 4 hours. Exhausted and stranded at the station past midnight with small children, I called the hotel and explained the situation, hoping to return to the room just for a few hours. To my shock, the staff refused point-blank — saying I would need to pay for yet another full day, even though I had already paid for that night until the next morning. They showed zero empathy or basic human decency, completely ignoring the fact that we were stuck with an infant in the middle of the night. This kind of cold, profit-driven attitude is unacceptable from any hotel — especially in Rajasthan, a state known for its legendary hospitality and the slogan "Padharo Mhare Desh." Sadly, Ajit Bhawan lives up to none of that. The stress and discomfort caused to our family — especially our 4-month-old baby — was terrible. The hotel staff made it clear that money mattered more than people. Avoid this place if you expect even basic compassion or hospitality. There are many better places in Jodhpur — Ajit Bhawan is not worth your trust.

We were 3 couples staying at Ajit Bhawan for 2 nights. On the 3rd day, I extended my stay and paid ₹7,000 for a late checkout since my train was at 11 PM. I checked out at 10 PM, only to find out the train was delayed by 4 hours. Stuck at the station with an infant and a toddler, I called the hotel hoping they’d let us return to the room for a few hours — especially since we had already paid for that night till the next morning. Shockingly, they refused unless I paid for another full day! No empathy, no flexibility, no basic hospitality. Just cold, money-first attitude. I expected better from a hotel in Rajasthan, known for its warmth. Don’t stay here if you value kindness, understanding, or even basic decency. Very poor experience.

Don't know where to start, I m short with words for the rooms, every room is so unique.. the property felt so homely n so does the food there... Would definitely visit this place again .

The highlight here is undoubtedly the traditional Rajasthani food served with genuine warmth and care.
Awesome food and service. There is no ambience to boast about but the food makes up for that part. Chimney traditional thali has very homely preparation that allows you to eat without feeling too full. Dal bhati churma was also awesome and not too heavy like other commercial hotels. The ghee used for preparation is not processed.

Worst outlet of subway …Aloo patty salad Ordered from zomato ..There were hardly any sauces in salad only dry vegetables were served .. Called at store the manger was very ruide and manner less .. Unprofessional behaviour & no customer ethics… Cheaters

Very bad customer care and receptionist. I called to place order for pickup, she just rudely said only in-store available and cut the phone. Not at all acceptable by a person at Subway. I really enjoyed the food here but utterly hated the way the receptionist spoke. She should be fired, the one who takes calls.
Karan J — Google review
Extremely unprofessional service. They did not prepare the food as per my clear instructions, and the attitude of the staff was careless at best. What's worse is that this is the only Subway outlet in Jodhpur — but just because there are no other branches doesn’t mean they can ignore basic customer service. If you're expecting the standard quality and customization that Subway is known for, be ready for disappointment here. In the name of Subway, this place delivers nothing. Definitely not worth the money or the brand name it carries.

Visitors can take a leisurely walk along the pathways to spot these animals in their natural habitat or indulge in bird watching. The well-maintained walking trails meander through lush gardens, tall trees, and flowering plants, making it an ideal spot for morning walks, jogging, or simply enjoying the calm atmosphere. This place is a small zoo and it can take 2-3 hours to complete. If you are having time in your Jodhpur trip. you can visit this place. The place is clean. There was only 1 queue for tickets, either that should be multiple queues or there should be online facility for this. Wasted around 30mins in queue for tickets. The ticket pricing was 33rs.

Small zoo. Neat & clean. All the toilets were locked inside and outside the zoo. Cafeteria staff overcharged us for ice cream and all other packed products, MRP is erased from all the products. Staff were ready to fight with customers for price issues. Complained the same to police officials at the entrance. Not sure if any action will be taken. Poor experience.

The place is good. Zoo has quite some animals too, so if you want to keep your little ones busy, this definitely is your spot. Just be mindful of either taking your own vehicle over there or book an Uber ride for to and fro coz no public transportation facility is not available and taxis can charge >3x at evening. Also parking closes at 5pm for new entry, so plan the visit for before 5.

Bodies of Water
Kaylana Lake, an artificial lake in Jodhpur, was constructed in the 19th century by Raja Pratap Singh. Covering 84 square kilometers, it is surrounded by igneous rock formations and is fed by the Elephant Canal connected to the Indira Gandhi Canal. The area boasts natural vegetation including acacia trees and Siberian crane plants, making it a haven for migratory birds during winter.
Good for refreshment with friends and family on the outskirts of jodhpur. Camels ride, boating and zip lining are also available for refreshment.
Hari P — Google review
Kaylana Lake, a serene man‑made oasis just 8 km west of Jodhpur, was built in 1872 by Maharaja Pratap Singh to alleviate water scarcity . Covering about 0.84 km² and reaching depths of 35–50 ft, it sits nestled among rugged rock formations and babool trees, creating a striking contrast against the desert backdrop . Visitors often praise the lake for its peaceful ambiance and natural beauty. In winter (October–March), it transforms into a paradise for bird watchers, welcoming migratory species like Siberian cranes, pelicans, herons, and flamingos . Early mornings and evenings offer the best light, turning the water into a reflective canvas at sunrise and sunset . Recreational options are plentiful—boating is popular, with paddle, motor, and speed boats available (from around ₹120–₹250) . Nature walks, trekking to a nearby Shiv Mandir, cycling, and picnicking by the shore add to the charm . Despite its appeal, amenities are sparse. Visitors note limited facilities—restrooms can be locked or inaccessible, and there's a shortage of food stalls . So pack essentials like water and snacks. Entry is free, and the lake is accessible daily, best enjoyed from 9 AM to 5 PM . Overall, Kaylana Lake is a peaceful retreat—ideal for a 2–3‑hour stop. It’s especially lovely during winter and monsoon when migratory birds take centre stage. Just don’t expect luxury—come for the calm, wildlife sightings, and scenic views of Jodhpur’s desert landscape.

History -Kaylana Lake is located 8 km west of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India. It is an artificial lake, built by Pratap Singh in 1872. In ancient times this region had palaces and gardens made by two rulers of Jodhpur - Bhim Singh and Takhat Singh. These were destroyed to make Kaylana Lake. Present - Very scenic and calm place specially if you are a sunset lover. Perfect for calm evening near lakeside with beautiful sunset views and boating. Few camel rides are also available with some evening snacks to munch on. Welcome maintained these days. Perfect place for a photo shoot specially your pre wedding shoot as the ambience is breathtaking specially during the sunset. Must visit once.

This place is a little far from the city area and when I visited that time the lake had not enough water so you might be disappointed and also, this place does not have that much greenery and even the whole jodhpur city need some trees and gardens so many tourists can easily attract to visit. But yes this place is situated at a small height and you can also enjoy the sunset view from the small mountain area.

One of the beautiful place in Jodhpur. Got very beautiful views of the lake, sunset and the mountain range. Place is as cozy. Enjoyed the Zip line and Boating. Though lake is not managed well and there is no option to pay by card or UPI so carry cash with you. Food prices are average, quality and quantity both are good for food except the tea. They use toooo much ginger and quantity is too low of the tea so give instructions before you order.

From this vantage point, the anticipation of witnessing a vibrant cityscape was certainly present. The promise of "The Blue City" of Jodhpur, with its unique hue, filled our thoughts. Unfortunately, what met our eyes did not quite reflect the famous description we had in mind. It was a slight disappointment to find the scene differing from our expectations. Perhaps the weather or the angle of sight had something to do with it, altering the view.

Shree Chamunda Mata Temple

Hindu temple
Shree Chamunda Mata Temple, located on the southern edge of Jodhpur's landmark fort, is a popular Hindu temple with stunning views of the city. The temple houses a black stone idol of Mother Chamunda and is known for its serene atmosphere, except during festival days when it becomes lively. Nestled within the vibrant city, this divine sanctuary offers visitors a spiritual journey and an immersive experience in its tranquil and devotional ambiance.
This temple is situated inside the mehrangad fortress. One will have to walk all the way to this end point of the fort. This is the only temple in the premises of Mehrangad and the royal family used to offer puja here. There is a separate route for females and kids to go to this temple and a stairway to this temple for the men. Since we went to this temple during the sunset we witnessed a beautiful and mesmerizing sunset here. A note to the elderly, kindly take the elevator to the top of the fort and take a walk around as it is a huge place to walk and cover.

The Temple is inside the Mehrangarh Fort. The scenic and serene beauty in and around the temple surpasses the beauty of the fort! Interacting with the Pandit Ji (Tiwari Ji) doing puja there would also be a memorable experience as he may tell you the brief history of the temple.

Chamunda Mata Temple is a peaceful and spiritually uplifting place nestled within Mehrangarh Fort. The temple itself is small but holds deep historical and religious significance for the locals. What truly makes this spot special is the breathtaking bird’s-eye view of Jodhpur’s iconic blue houses—an unforgettable sight! The atmosphere is serene, with a cool breeze and fewer crowds compared to other parts of the fort. It’s a perfect place to pause, soak in the beauty of the Blue City, and experience a moment of tranquility.

Nestled in the heart of Jodhpur, Vijay Restaurant is a culinary treasure that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming eatery specializes in a delightful kabuli biryani, featuring layers of fragrant rice adorned with crispy seasonal vegetables and garnished with nuts and raisins, all cooked to perfection in the traditional dum style. The restaurant's ambiance may be humble, but it’s the flavors that truly shine here.
Vijay restaurant is situated in busy market area. It's better to walk or to take auto instead of own car. We visited there for dinner and it was full of families like us. Still we got the place without any wait time. We specially visisted here for Malai Roti and Malai Chaki. It was delicious, true to the reputation of hotel. All dishes are prepared in pure ghee and test awesome!! We also tried Lacha Paratha, Gulab Jamun sabji and Ker Dakh ki sabji. It was awesome to say the least!! Prem Pyala as desert is a unique dish everyone must try!! Service is quick and very friendly which makes it a very pleasant experience. They offered sabji in smaller portion for us and complementary Prem Pyala as we weren't aware of this dish. Overall a must visit place if you are in Jodhpur.

Review: Fun N Food Restaurant I recently visited Fun N Food Restaurant, and while the food quality was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the visit — the overall experience had a few downsides. Pros: • The food was truly top-notch, worth coming back for. • They accept all modes of payment, which makes billing convenient. Cons: • Car parking was a bit of a hassle. It’s difficult to find a proper spot nearby. • The staff seemed uncooperative and inattentive. • There was no clear guidance on where to sit or how long the wait would be, which caused confusion and delays in getting a table and placing an order. Overall, great food but poor service. If the management improves the hospitality and parking arrangement, it could become a go-to place for many.

Fun N Food holds a special place in my heart, as I've been coming here since childhood. The food remains consistently delicious, with standout dishes like the veg jalfrezi and pineapple raita stealing the show. While the noodles and Manchurian combo was decent, it didn't quite reach the same level of excellence. One of the highlights of Fun N Food is its excellent service. The staff is always polite, helpful, and ensures a pleasant dining experience. Overall, it's a great spot for vegetarians to enjoy tasty food in a nostalgic setting.

The food items we ordered were decent other than spring rolls, worst spring rolls that I had. The place is mostly packed and the seating arrangement is really compact. Bijolai Palace Jodhpur, by Inde Hotels & Resorts is a waterfront heritage hotel housed in a 19th-century palace. It offers warm accommodations, dining options, and a pool. The hotel is conveniently located near popular attractions such as Kaylana Lake and Machia Biological Park. Guests can enjoy amenities like complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a garden with a rooftop terrace.
Very good hotel , located approx 8 km away from main city. Hotel comes under kings property. Earlier it was a hunting home of king but afterwards it’s converted into hotel. When I have visited here, there was less staff but they were managing everything. Every evening they used to call local singles for singing traditional songs which was really enjoyable. The only gap I observed that they are focusing more on money making ( it’s okay as they running business but it’s reflects very clearly during any discussions). Staff seems to be very serious in nature, they smiles only on special occasions 🤣

Unpleasant Stay at Bijolai - Not Worth the Money I stayed at Bijolai on December 7, 2024, and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. The room was dirty and had a foul odor, which immediately set the tone for the stay. To make matters worse, the bedsheet had holes in it, reflecting a lack of basic upkeep. The food was terrible, lacking both quality and taste, and the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. Service was painfully slow, adding to the frustration. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of money. I would strongly advise against choosing this place if you’re looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

I recently attended a family wedding at Bijolai Palace, Jodhpur. The venue offers a serene and picturesque environment, perfect for intimate events. The charm and quiet ambience at the palace truly set it apart. However, the room services fell short in a few areas: inconsistent drinking water availability, lack of quality toiletries, no proper in-room tea/coffee/kettle setup, dim lighting across rooms, non-functional TVs, and slow internet. These issues detracted from the overall experience, and I hope they are addressed soon. Despite these challenges, the venue’s charm and ambiance make it a great venue for events.

The place is at a very quiet location and away from the hustle bustle of the city however the service, the food and the luxury tent in which we stayed disappoint ed us. To start with there were no remotes for tv and ac, the tents were quite dirty and the service was such that it seemed they didn't have much training about hospitality. The contact number they shared to order food was switched off, they gave other number however no one wass picking it.The food was too average apart from palak curry, I would have preferred food from outside if this place was not at this isolated location. The best part was the property with lake and the birds. If you are just looking for view and the property and not concerned about either food or service you can definitely try this place.I think the property is quite good but they just need to train their staff.

The stay is very beautiful and peaceful. It is slightly in the outskirts so prefer your own car. The views are beautiful and situated near a lake. Service is really good. Just one challenge while you travel there is no network and the wifi connection is also weak. Apart from this the stay was really amazing.

Went for dinner to the restaurant. The property is excellent. Everything gets ruined here by the staff. Zero hospitality. Food was pathetic. The facility will surely be a hit, if the staffs are trained well. Not forget, the food was expensive considering the portion size, taste and quality. The bill mentioned fresh brewed coffee, but it was made with Nescafe instant coffee powder mix.

This property offers an idyllic escape from the urban bustle. Its picturesque setting and tranquil ambiance create the perfect atmosphere for a variety of occasions. Couples will appreciate the romantic charm ideal for intimate dinner dates, while families can enjoy quality time in the serene surroundings. For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, the property provides a peaceful haven to unwind and recharge with friends.

We are on a family vacation with an infant. This place is so ideal. Rooms are extremely spacious. Just that the phone was not in service and we couldn’t make any calls. Breakfast could have been better with slightly more options! Other than that, the view besides hotel is icing on cake. Enjoyed the stay!😊

On the Friday night during lockdown i really wanted to go for Egg Biryani since it was one of the foods i have been missing most. I found The Rockyard with a zomato search as I was looking for peoples favourite biryani in Jodhpur and it didn't disappoint. The food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. Overall a good meal and great value I will certainly be ordering back. The portion of Pineapple Raita is less as per price, so need to improve in portion size.

Sojati Gate is a bustling area in Jodhpur, centrally located and always crowded due to its proximity to the railway station. The illuminated Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower) and Sardar Market add to the area's allure, offering a vibrant hub for textiles, handicrafts, and spices. Visitors can explore the small Kunj Bihari Temple and possibly see a statue of Maharaja Sardar Singh.

One of the locals favourite street food place with really many many pocket friendly options ...... Only the surroundings are a bit on dirtier side and there will be no stopping traffic. And the iconic tripoliya market starts from here. Where you can do some traditional clothes shopping and there is many more to look for.

Constructed in 1847 AD by Maharaja Vijay Singh, the temple showcases unique architecture and intricate carvings. Belonging to the Rama Nandi Vaishnava sect of Hindus, it stands as an imposing structure with a resemblance to the Ghanshyamji temple in Jodhpur.

The Kunj Bihari Temple, a sacred site for the Rama Nandi Vaishnava sect of Hindus, is dedicated to Lord Krishna, also revered as Sri Nathji. Constructed by Maharaja Vijay Singh in 1847 AD, this magnificent structure serves as a memorial to his son, Sher Singh, who tragically passed away at a young age. The temple's stunning design incorporates Makrana stone and Chhitar sandstone. One of Jodhpur's ancient temples. My experience of the vibe during the evening arti, which I witnessed from the temple complex, was nothing short of spiritual and pleasant!

Kunj Bihari Temple, built-in 1847 AD, is a majestic shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna in the Rama Nandi Vaishnava tradition. Constructed by Maharaja Vijay Singh in memory of his son, Sher Singh, the temple is a stunning architectural marvel made of Makrana stone and Chhitar sandstone. Resembling the Ghanshyamji temple in Jodhpur, Kunj Bihari Temple features an intricately carved shikhar atop the sanctum and a toran dwar at the entrance. The entrance showcases statues of Meera Bai, Lord Hanuman, and Namdeo. Inside, the garbhagriha houses the idol of Lord Krishna. Adjacent to the temple is Achal Nath Shivalaya, built by Nanak Devi in 1531. This ancient shrine, crafted from carved Chhitar Stone, includes three main halls - garbhagriha, mandap bhavan, and kirtan bhavan. The temple also features a water reservoir known as Ganga Bawari. Kunj Bihari Temple is situated in Jodhpur which seems to be the replica of the famous Ghanshyamji temple in Jodhpur. The temple is an example of outstanding and splendid architecture. The top of the temple and the entrance is designed in a very beautiful way that will steal a look. The temple is devoted to Shri Kunj Bihari or Lord Krishna. A statue of Meera Bai, the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna rests at the entrance of the temple. There is a Garbha Griha or central hall inside the temple. When in Jodhpur, a visit to Shahi Samosa Arora Namkeen is an absolute must for any food lover. This iconic street food spot pays homage to the city's royal heritage with its delectable samosas, which are inspired by the majestic forts of Jodhpur. The shahi samosa is not just your average snack; it boasts a rich filling of potatoes, onions, and spices complemented by cashews and nuts that elevate its flavor profile to something truly regal.
I have never seen such a confident Samosa seller. They sell Samosa without Chatni or Sauce. Samosa is really tasty and crispy in nature. Along with Samosa u can try Mirchi bada and Pyaz Kachori. It is a super crowded place in market. They also serve Lassi which haven't tried. They 4 to 5 variants in lassi starting from Rs. 40. Samosa and Mirchi Bada costs Rs. 25 each Pl be careful of ur luggage and belongings as place is with lotnof rush and kiosk.

Tried Shahi Samosa near Ghantaghar and it definitely lives up to its name! The samosas were crispy, fresh, and really tasty. The potato filling is quite similar to what they use in their other snacks like mirchi vada, but it still works perfectly inside the samosa. Overall, the flavor was great and the texture spot on, crisp outside and flavorful inside. A must-try if you’re visiting Jodhpur!
Shubham J — Google review
This outlet is near Clock Tower. It is located in a bustling local market. Samosa offered here is crisp and tasty. Filling of samosa has a tinge of lemon which makes it unique. Mirchi Bada and Pyaj Kachori is also very famous here. Kachori too is crisp and tasty. After eating these namkeens you can relish lassi which is thick and nicely sweet. You have to stand and eat here or pack it for home.
Supriya D — Google review
Shahi Samosa in Jodhpur is very famous and always crowded for their samosa and mirchi vada. But honestly, as a Gujarati, I didn’t enjoy it much. The samosa has salty masala stuffing without chutney, and instead they serve it with bread, which felt unusual for me. Personally, I didn’t like the taste, but you’ll still see a big crowd here as it’s a popular local spot.
Daxesh P — Google review
Just tried the famous Shahi Samosa in Jodhpur and it totally lived up to its name! The samosa was perfectly crisp, stuffed with flavorful aloo and loaded with cashews — a real royal touch. Jaisa naam waise kaam, Shahi Samosa is truly shahi in taste! Must try when in Jodhpur.

Tried the Pyaaz Kachori and Mirchi Bada at Shahi Samosa, Jodhpur. The taste was moderate and a bit spicy, not too overwhelming. The samosas and snacks are fresh and flavorful, making it a decent place for a quick snack while exploring the city.

The samosa was nice, but the famous Mirchi Vada was undercooked and disappointing. The place was EXTREMELY crowded, making it hard to find a spot or enjoy comfortably. Overall, decent taste but not worth the hype.

Balsamand Lake is a lake situated 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Jodhpur on Jodhpur-Mandore Road. This lake is a popular picnic spot, built in 1159 AD by Gurjara-Pratihara rulers. It was designed as a water reservoir to provide water to Mandore. The lake has a length of one kilometre (0.62 mi), breadth of 50 metres (160 ft) and a depth of 15 metres (49 ft). The Balsamand Lake Palace was built later as a summer palace on its shore. The lake is surrounded by lush green gardens that house groves of trees like mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum. Animals and birds like the jackal and peacock also call this place home. Balsamand Lake is an artificial lake that was built way back in 1159 AD by Balak Rao Parihar as a water reservoir to cater for Mandore. One kilometre long, 50 m broad and 15 m deep; the lake is located in the middle of a manicured garden full of mango, papaya, pomegranate, guava and plum trees. Jackal and peacock are the prominent guests in the garden. There is an impressive red sandstone summer palace on the shores of the lake, which is now converted into a five-star property. Make a point to watch out for pesky monkeys when walking the nature trails. The area is a popular picnic spot for locals.

If you're a chaat enthusiast, Arora Chaat Bhandar is an essential stop on your culinary journey. Nestled next to Shahi Samosa, this quaint shop has garnered a loyal following for its mouthwatering offerings like Dahi Gujiya and the standout Palak Patta Chaat. The magic happens in the kitchen where Himanshu Arora, part of the family legacy, crafts these delightful treats with care.
Arora Chat Bhandar, located near Ghanta Ghar in Jodhpur, is a renowned spot for chaat enthusiasts. The menu boasts a variety of Indian street foods, with the Dahi Vada and Kesar Lassi receiving particular praise for their authentic flavors. The Palak Chaat is also a standout, offering a unique and delightful taste. However, experiences vary among patrons. Some have raised concerns about the hygiene standards and the overall cleanliness of the establishment. Additionally, the chaat's sweetness level might not cater to everyone's palate. The ambiance is typical of a bustling street food joint, often crowded due to its popularity. Prices are reasonable, making it an accessible option for many. If you're in the Ghanta Ghar area, Arora Chat Bhandar is worth a visit, especially for its signature dishes. Just be mindful of the hygiene aspects and manage your expectations accordingly.

We tried Arora Chaat during our visit to Jodhpur and overall had a really good experience! The gol gappas were a bit disappointing, but the other chaats totally made up for it. We had the Palak Patta Chaat, Dahi Bhalla, and Tikki Chole Chaat, all three were delicious. The Dahi Bhalla especially stood out and is highly recommended. Their sweet and tangy chutney adds an amazing flavor to the chaats as it really ties everything together. There’s also a small seating area where you can pick up your food and sit inside. The shop is located very close to Clock Tower (Ghanta Ghar), which makes it easy to find. Definitely worth trying once if you’re in Jodhpur and craving some tasty chaat!

Located just north of the Clock Tower in Jodhpur, the Omelette Shop is a popular roadside food joint offering a variety of delicious omelets and other fast foods. The owner, who has been working there since 1972, ensures that customers are treated to friendly service and affordable, mouthwatering dishes. Visitors can enjoy watching their omelettes being prepared while taking in the colorful market scene.
The owner said he has been working here since 1972 and now his son does most of the work. He was nice and friendly. The food was delicious, cheap and served fast - such a contrast to the overpriced touristic restaurants in town. You can watch your omelette being prepared and they have cold diet coke, unlike many restaurants. Nice spot for people-watching and photography - the market is colorful.

Worst omelette i ever had in my life. I tried their so called famous ‘Micheal Baba & ‘Masala creamy cheese’ Omellette. It was burnt, not tasty at all, very bad, unhygienic. Though we couldn’t complain the owner. I tried many other famous outlets of Jodhpur, all were worth trying, don’t know why this omellete shop is famous. Should avoid trying this for sure.

I tried their Masala creamy omelette. It was good. The next day I tried their Michael baba omelette and Spanish omelette, to be true I didn't understand the hype for that omelette; it tasted mid, no flavours, only potatoes. Although the owner's behaviour was friendly and polite he should think to improve the surroundings of the place and to buy new sitting arrangements. Please note- the place doesn't open till 10:30 am

The roti, or Indian bread, is also delicious and comes complete with butter chicken sauce on top. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
This is the 1st time we got REAL non-spicy foods in our India trip 🤣 Thanks for saving our stomachs. The foods are sooo delicious we love h therm. We got with chicken Karbab & Tikka with butter Namn. This restaurant is so popular even we had dinner there at around 22:30 but it was still crowded, so many people!! Highly recommended👍

The experience is possibly too hardcore for any tourist but the most navigated ones. But,in terms of value for money, it's hard to ask for more. Easily one of the most delicious meals I had in Rajasthan.

I had egg curry from them today.. there were minor pieces of non-veg in it.. please do not trust them and buy it.all staff n also owner is very proudy, bcz of in this area only it is a resturant, but i recommend to all of u pls go raja ya kashmiri chicken. A small heaven for non veg lovers.. we ordered malai chicken along with their special roti and the look of the serving melted our hearts. A must must try for every single out there who loves non veg. It was recommended to us by a local and the prices are very genuine and low as compared to the restaurants nearby. The place is a bit shady but the service was good. It was quick and took us hardly 15min to order, eat and pay the bill. To enjoy their whole variety, please visit a bit early or the place is open till late night(if there's no restriction on COVID guidelines & curfew)

Jhankar Haveli is a vegetarian restaurant with an old-world charm and a relaxed terrace shaded by tent-like coverings. The restaurant offers an Instagram-worthy ambiance with embellished stone walls and large cane chairs in a lush green courtyard. Known for serving delectable vegetarian dishes, the place also offers tempting baked-cheese dishes, burgers, and pizzas at affordable prices. Additionally, the staff is multilingual and known for their camaraderie.
Had a real astonishing stay at this hotel. Rooms are spacious, ambience cozy, food delicious- a simple traditional no- complaint haveli style hotel. The stairs are a bit steep though but if you can take care of that, no worries.

The restaurant ambience is amazing and has a raw charm. They host different gigs and events, and the food is good. Special mention to Vikram for his warm hospitality and gracious welcome.

Not a good experience. The bathroom was not good the basin sink was getting clogged. No proper mirror no proper light. Sudden powercut due to which not able to use ac. Need to take bath from cold water. Very bad service. There are better options at this price. Not at all worth the money

Jhankar Haveli is honestly one of the best restaurants in Jodhpur – the food is delicious, the vibe is so traditional, and the live folk music makes the experience even more special. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Jodhpur! And of course, whenever I come back to this city, Jhankar Haveli will definitely be on my list again.

If you're visiting Jodhpur and truly want to feel the essence of Rajasthani culture, Jhankar Haveli is a must-stay. Nestled right in the heart of the Blue City—steps away from the majestic Mehrangarh Fort and the iconic Toorji Ka Jhalra stepwell—this heritage haveli is a soulful blend of history, hospitality, and homely charm. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beautifully restored architecture, intricate jharokhas, antique decor, and traditional artwork that give the haveli its authentic character. It's like stepping into a different era—but with all the modern comforts thoughtfully integrated. What truly sets Jhankar Haveli apart is the warmth of the hosts and staff. You're not just a guest here—you’re treated like family. Every meal I had was deliciously home-cooked, bursting with local flavors, and served with genuine love and care. The rooftop views are magical, especially at sunset. Whether you're sipping masala chai or enjoying a candlelit dinner under the stars, it's a peaceful oasis above the bustling city streets. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated with vintage touches. It’s clear that every corner of the haveli has been restored with heart and respect for its heritage. ⭐️ Highly recommended for couples, families, solo travelers, and anyone seeking a soulful, immersive stay in Jodhpur. Skip the cookie-cutter hotels—Jhankar Haveli is where stories live.
