Holland State Park - Macatawa Campground offers a picturesque beachfront setting with paved bike trails, sunset views, and convenient concessions. Visitors can explore the iconic Big Red lighthouse and indulge in dining experiences at nearby Saugatuck. The campground provides spacious sites with amenities like fire rings and picnic tables, along with modern restroom and shower facilities. While the lighthouse may be small, the stunning sandy beach, snack shack offerings, and expansive parking make it a worthwhile visit.
This was our first time staying at the beach campground at Holland State Park. We usually book at the other campground, but decided to try something new — and we’re so glad we did! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach, which makes it super easy to catch a sunset or spend the day by the water. The campground itself has a really nice vibe, and the facilities were spotless — probably some of the cleanest bathrooms and showers we’ve seen at a state park. It’s definitely a great spot if you want to be close to the beach while still enjoying the camping experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Holland State Park is a decent spot if you’re looking for a quick beach outing. The view of the iconic Big Red lighthouse and the sunset over Lake Michigan are definitely worth seeing. However, the park gets very crowded, especially on weekends, making parking and finding a quiet spot on the beach difficult. Facilities like restrooms and concessions could be maintained better, and sometimes the cleanliness of the beach is hit-or-miss. Overall, it’s nice for a visit, but not the most relaxing experience if you’re hoping for peace and space.
Prashant D — Google review
The bathrooms and showers were filthy. The bathrooms stunk and they were not kept up. We were here in 2024 and thought they were great, but no longer. The plastic shower benches that were gray in color were almost black as they weren’t washed all season. I don’t know what was smeared on wall. Green mold, lots of spiders and webs. They were really gross. Come on folks, you can do better.
Cynde M — Google review
Website is deceptive. On the official website it says that it has a dog beach, and that it is pet friendly. When I arrived, however I found out that their signs all the way across the beach saying no animals and their so-called “dog beach.” is nothing more than a spot with sand with no apparent water involved. They do have a bathroom with flushing toilets that is right by the beach, which is nice however, it has these stalls that have benches that would seem to be a changing type area only there’s no curtains or doors or anything on them for any sort of privacy. In the same building as the bathrooms they do have a little gift shop place that offers some limited food and drink options. I got the soft serve chocolate ice cream, single scoop and let me tell you they don’t give you very much for what they charge for it. One thing that was nice though is that they do have I think there was two spots with those beach sand walk runners that make it much easier to get further down on the beach. I used Google maps to direct me to the beach and instead it directed me to the campground parking. I found that if I didn’t turn into the campground parking, I just kept driving eventually I did get to the beach.

This was our first visit to Holland State Park, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. We stayed at the beach campground, where the campsites were generously sized and the utility hookups were well-maintained and easy to access. The bathhouse was impressively clean, well-lit, and conveniently located. One of the highlights was the stunning night sky — with the campground set away from the city lights of Holland, the darkness allows for incredible stargazing. We enjoyed breathtaking views of stars and planets that made the evenings truly memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next stay.

Why google has this as a hotel, First off this is a campground! Nice campground, very clean well maintained. We came up for wedding only got to stay a couple nights. We got sites next to friends had a great time. Only issue i had was tight in some areas for large fifth wheel good thing it wasn't full..lol we'd stay here again you're in walking distance from lake michigan.
Lee B — Google review
Since it was Labor Day, the park was very crowded to say thw least. But the beach is great overlooking the Lake Michigan. Crystal clear water is enchanting to just sit and watch. One can take nice walk on the pier that extends well into the water. Lots of boat activities were taking place. Excellent location to spend the day!
Jayarangan R — Google review
It's absolutely beautiful. Campsites are very close and not much or any separation or privacy from one campsite to the next. It's very obvious that it is mostly "seasonal" campers/families. Which is nice, but that without separation between campsites is a little awkward, giving an "out of place" feeling. The beach, the park, and bathrooms :) are truly great. Definitely would go back.

Tunnel Park is a charming 22-acre gem that offers visitors a delightful blend of natural beauty and recreational fun. Nestled along the shores of Lake Michigan, this park features a unique tunnel that winds through sand dunes, leading you to a stunning beach reminiscent of coastal Italy. The journey through the tunnel is an adventure in itself! Once you emerge on the other side, you're greeted by soft sands and breathtaking views.
Came here with my wife last weekend. She had found out about this place about two months ago and wanted to take me here 😊 I'm glad she did because this is a really cool park! The tunnel taking you to the beach is cool, and its very well maintained, there's not sand everywhere like we were expecting. There's also a beautiful overlook with benches and picnic tables with a little pollination garden. And lastly, they have an awesome playground! This is why I love Holland, this is just one of the many amazing places here!
Zachary F — Google review
Gives you a wholesome experience of Lake Michigan from the top. Very clean beach however walking down the sand dunes up to the beach is very challenging and so is getting back . You can see the red lighthouse very clearly. The beach is less crowded & the sunset is breathtaking.
Jaita G — Google review
This place felt like the best kept secret of Holland! We went to a few places with beach access, but this one was hands down, the best. A lot less crowded. Just bring your blankets, your water bottle, and your chairs so you can enjoy the water and the sun. Restrooms have a soda machine if you want something sweet. There’s also a play area for the kids near the parking lot. You do pay for parking and you can do this with your phone, so make sure it’s charged up before you go. There are two entrances to the beach. Straight in, and a set up stairs you can climb up, then climb down to the beach. There are 68 total steps, so try that if you are adventurous ◡̈ Otherwise, do the tunnel. When it opens up to the sun and water, it’s breathtaking.

After waiting in line for the Holland State Park we found this beach on the map and it was considerably less busy. It was less expensive to park only $8. Perfectly sandy beach with no rocks and crystal clear water. They have changing rooms and a clean bathroom. Next time we are in the Holland area we will definitely stop by tunnel Park again.
Steven O — Google review
It's one of our favorite spors in Holland. It doesn't get super crowded and oh boyyyyy...the sunset there is magical. You can go through the stairs or climb the sand dune. There is a playground, a big beautiful park and lots of place to park your car...it is like $8 to park and its for the whole day
Yllka G — Google review
Beautiful beach. Nice and sandy, not stoney at all. Great place to take the family. It has the outside shower sprayer to wash off algae in the summer. Bathrooms are kept up well and there is a playground that is great for the kids
Chuck A — Google review
Cutest park with great beach access! Going through the tunnel feels a little bit like entering a beach in Italy. Parking lot is gravel but has lots of spots and offers a short walk to the tunnel. Public restrooms are present. Pay station is located by the bathrooms. Has a nice grassy area to picnic as well if you don’t want to go to the beach. there is also a great lookout after up quite a few stairs that overlooks lake michigan. Beautiful park!!

Beautiful Michigan beach. A little smaller than many of the others beaches, and a small staircase to get onto the beach. Clean bathrooms with flushable toilets. Kids playground.

Kollen Park

Park
Kollen Park, also known as the Heinz Waterfront Walkway, is a serene and picturesque waterfront park in Holland, Michigan. It offers a range of recreational amenities such as a band shelter, playground, boat launch ramps, picnic areas, and a large group picnic shelter. The park spans 30 acres and features Lake Macatawa frontage with boardwalks and fishing decks.
We visited Kollen Park after dinner one evening on our vacation and it was beautiful! The playground looked fun for families with little kids. There was a beautiful fountain. And we stumbled across a free concert of some kind at the amphitheater. We grabbed our outdoor blanket and relaxed for a bit, listening to the music, before we headed down to the waterfront to watch the sunset. I would have loved to walk more of the walkway, but we didn't have time. If I lived in Holland, I think I'd find myself at this park all the time! Absolutely beautiful. The grass was lush and soft. Lots of places to just sit and enjoy nature.
Jodi S — Google review
This park is beautiful. It has a lovely playground area, beautiful walk along the water that is wheelchair, accessible, benches, picnic table, pavilion, large grassy area, restrooms, boat launch, and a decent amount of parking. The park is clean, and well maintained.
Jess L — Google review
Wonderful park with kids area and amphitheatre abutting Lake Macatawa. Abundant (and free) parking. Stroll a large portion of the lakefront on the promenade. Friday nights in the summer offer free concerts (6:30-8:30pm) and often a food truck. Bring your own chairs or blankets, food and beverages (alcohol is forbidden), and plan to sing along or even dance with the locals.
Brett R — Google review
We came on a rainy day & it was still enjoyable. We had a "picnic" under the pavilion. The kids played on the playground. And my husband and son did some fishing; only caught 1 small perch before we had to take off (before the storm hit). Plenty of parking, restrooms on-site. Enjoyable experience.
Chelsea A — Google review
Parked near the parking lot that was closer to Boatwerks restaurant. Boardwalk clean and plenty of seating for tired feet or those with handicap (walker/wheelchair). View was beautiful! Would go back. Visited on a Thursday in afternoon and it wasn't very busy at the park.
ELOEL — Google review
Mostly clean, there were spider webs around some of the bars so watch out for that. Play structure makes it hard for adults to go in without excessive ducking. Still a great view of the lake. Grass is kept green. Free from trash.
Phi D — Google review
Kollen Park is such a beautiful place. There is something for everyone. There are free concerts in the summer, playground for the kids. Benches, walking paths, bathrooms, and a gorgeous sunset view! Fishing is encouraged.

Was there to see fireworks on July 4th! Awesome place...nice and clean. Only thing that need improvement on is the restroom...very dirty and some stall have no toilet tissue...everything else are awesome!

Festival
Tulip Time Festival Office is a charming and cosmopolitan Dutch village known for its freshwater beaches and stunning sunsets. The festival, which takes place over eight days in early May, showcases millions of tulips in full bloom, attracting visitors from across the Midwest. The city's heritage and the beauty of the colorful flower are celebrated through various events during this time.
So beautiful! Amazing tulips. Wasn't too busy on a Monday afternoon. Parking was a little tough, but I found a good spot. If you haven't been to the tulip festival, I highly recommend it. So many varieties. Near each type of tulip they have QR codes and it will tell you what kind they are.
Amy G — Google review
It was an experience, something different to do and see. The tulips are gorgeous and the town is cute. Be aware that there are LOTS of people. I know it’s a festival and I knew it was going to be busy. But I was not expecting a sea of people. Some parts were difficult to move through. I am happy we went and we saw. Not sure if we’ll make it every year, but it was a nice road trip for the family. And the weather was absolutely perfect.
Shastina — Google review
Everyone who loves flowers and Dutch history should attend the Holland, Michigan Tulip Festival at least once. It’s so beautiful and impressive how the local community comes together and volunteers to make this top notch event possible. The streets and boulevards- for blocks and blocks near downtown Holland are beautifully lined with tulips. Our young bus tour guide, once a college student here, told us how whole residential households dedicate time and care to plant them. I think the local pride, togetherness, and tulip planting skills are most impressive.
Jeannie H — Google review
They make this seem much more grand on TV and in pictures. It's cute. Not worth the money. The tulip display along the main streets is so much better than their "field of tulips"...more like a large patch. Go during the week to avoid large crowds. The $15-$17 entrance fee is not worth seeing a Dutch windmill. You think you're going to see rolling fields of tulips. You'll be disappointed. The flowers get trampled on because everyone is taking pictures. Better display at their public park for FREE
Naomi M — Google review
We went on the second day and it was nice. Nice weather, nice people, nice flowers but not much going on. I'm not sure what I expected but I just thought there would be more going on around the city. Good experience, just not great for me.
Matt M — Google review
We specifically took the walking tour with Tamara. We felt the tour was worth the price (we have heard people complain about the price). She shared the history of the town of Holland and of the festival. Gave recommendations of where to eat, shop, and see while at the festival. She shared personal anecdotes as she is from Holland. Seeing the tulips (and other flowers) in bloom is a visual treat. Parking is free for the festival. We got there early, so finding parking was easy. Traffic was frankly horrific later in the day, though I felt the police officers did a good job directing. I definitely want to go back to both the festival and Holland.
Pauline E — Google review
This was pretty, nice to visit, and a picture-takers dream. However, the $17/person entry seems expensive given you're simply going in to look at flowers. I'm not opposed to entry fees but $5/person seems more reasonable - especially when most people will buy flower bulbs on the flower selling shop (free to enter) or tchotchkies in the large gift shop (also free to enter). Abundant (and free) parking is available and there is a way to dropoff wheelchair-boubd visitors before parking in the grassy area. Plan for large yet friendly crowds
Brett R — Google review
Very beautiful. Very busy on a Saturday. Lots to see and enjoying the down town veiw. Flowers where in full bloom Very pretty colors. The windmill would of like to see but long line just to get in. Would of been better to go not on a Saturday lol. Still enjoyed the veiw.

New American restaurant
Seventy-Six is a stylish and casual-rustic eatery located in downtown Holland, offering modern and local American cuisine along with a selection of wine, cider, and cocktails. Inspired by a couple deeply in love after nearly 40 years together, this restaurant aims to provide an upscale dining experience while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
I had a pleasant lunch here one afternoon. The interior is modern and casual, yet feels a bit more upscale. The staff was friendly but unobtrusive. I was a bit off from the normal meal time, so it wasn’t terribly busy during my visit. I settled on the Dutch ham pretzel melt, and it turned out to be a great choice. The salty ham and melted smoked gouda were balanced by the sweetness of the bacon jam and the apple slices. It was a very well thought out sandwich. I was quite pleased with the place, and I think it’d make a good choice for a nice night out.
Mateo G — Google review
We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday and overall had a great time besides my meal choice. The atmosphere was wonderful—warm and inviting—and our server was excellent and attentive. I was excited to try the short rib grilled cheese, but I was disappointed in the amount of short rib in it; there was hardly any, which made the sandwich plain. On the other hand, my husband ordered the burger and absolutely loved it. All in all, it was a nice experience with great service and a fun environment, but I wish my meal had lived up to the excitement I had for it
Marisa B — Google review
I’ll preface this review with the fact that we did not have a reservation with that being said, we were seated back in the private dining area. Because we were on the private dining area, we missed out on the lively atmosphere in the dining room. It was eerily quiet back there, and it seemed like our server was constantly forgetting us because he had tables in the main dining room. We had the calamari appetizer and it was absolutely outstanding. We also had the whitefish and the New York strip. The whitefish was wonderful, but it was drowning in the hollandaise sauce. I had to scrape most of it off because it was overwhelming. The New York strip was prepared as expected. It was a good steak, but not a great steak. The fries that came with the steak were wonderful. They were crispy on the outside soft in the middle and the Parmesan cheese on top was really nice.
Christy D — Google review
Great meal. Service was nice as well. The chair was a bit hard. Entrance a bit tight. Otherwise, was an awesome experience.
John R — Google review
On our trip to South Haven Michigan we decided to head up to Holland and as we were walking down the street we came across Seventy-Six. Looked like a fun spot and they had outdoor seating that accommodated the four of us . Everybody enjoyed their drinks, but their food was amazing! I had the walleye sandwich and it was easily the best walleye I have had. My wife had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, my brother-in-law had the Dutch Ham Pretzel melt, and my sister-in-law had the Reuben. I tried all of theirs and there was not a bad sandwich at our table, plus the fries were excellent! I do not remember our servers name, but it was during lunch service on 8/7/25, she was amazing! She had a clear understanding of the foods and admitted to trying everything on the menu allowing her to give knowledgeable feedback on the sandwiches. Highly recommend if you are traveling to Holland or passing by, it is on our list to visit once again when in the area!

Great place in downtown Holland, Michigan. Nice relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and a nice variety to choose from. Highly recommend!
DOUG S — Google review
Visited Holland from out of town. Came here with my husband and our 2 year old for lunch — despite the farmers market down the street, the restaurant was not too busy. While there isn’t a kids’ menu or booster seats available, they did have kid-friendly plates not listed on the menu. The food was great — fresh flavors, adequate portioning, fair price for the quality. Loved the avocado & tortilla salad with blackened shrimp. Excellent service. Atmosphere was cool & inviting — I would not bring a gaggle of rambunctious children but our toddler did fine and enjoyed her grilled cheese and fries.
BAsh90 — Google review
Nice place. They try hard to be hip. The food is decent, a bit high in price. I recommend reservations and getting there earlier if you can. They may run out of some dishes. I would have liked to try the bacon wrapped dates, but they were out. We did the crab rangoon instead. It was average. Everything we tried was pretty good- the best might actually have been the beef short rib cheese sandwich. That was solid. My pork chop was ok- decent size and flavorful, but a little more dry than I'd like for 30 bucks. Their hash was fantastic- well seasoned and crispy. The fish sandwich and fries were acceptable. Our drinks, the staff, and the atmosphere made for a good experience.

The restaurant boasts a light-filled space with beautiful views of the water, as well as an outdoor patio and lounge for guests to enjoy. Their menu features fresh seafood and premium meats prepared with an emphasis on quality produce.
Such a clean, cute place! The portions are generous, the flavors are on point & the staff was just amazing. Highly recommend the wall eye & the mushroom risotto. The crab cakes were super good too. We have key lime pie for dessert, not too sweet, good balance of flavors. 10/10

Wonderful shaded setting for lunch on the water. The wait staff was friendly but service was slow. Not a big deal bc of the view. The fruity alcoholic drinks were $11 each. They were tasty but seemed like they had no alcohol. The food was above average bar food. Spinach and artichoke dip was solid. BBQ sandwich was tasty but had very little meat. The truffle fries were really good. Go for the view and know you’ll have good food but nothing all that special. We will return with that expectation.

Posting for anyone like us, two moms with two young kids looking for a nice but casual early dinner. We came around 5:30 and sat outside we loved the waterfront ambiance! At that time, it still had a casual vibe, which was perfect for people with young kids just trying to have a nice meal while clinging for their lives. 😅 By the time we were leaving around 7, the fancier crowd was starting to roll in, but we never felt out of place. The calamari was great, the shrimp and scallop ravioli was delicious, and the perch was just okay. The kids’ menu was solid, and our server David was amazing, attentive, friendly, and great with the kids. Highly recommend for families who want a beautiful setting without the pressure of being super formal.

Such a beautiful view of the river! Our waitress was so good! Came with a big family and it didn't take very long compared to how big our group was. I ordered the mac and cheese, and it was very good! The atmosphere was good. There are cool boat related things outside!

I ordered the shrimp and scallop tortellini, it was great! My girlfriend ordered the perch and it was missing something. My meal was very tasty and so was our side of crab cakes. Hers was not as memorable. Great service, great atmosphere, a nice place for a date!

Great food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant is located right on the beautiful Lake Macatawa in Holland MI. I enjoyed the delicious Faroe Island Salmon and my husband had the Walleye. Everything was delicious, large servings and fresh.

Came here with my wife for dinner on our weekly date day. It had been on my Google Want To Go list so I was excited 😊 We pull in and are greeted by a nice boat themed sign with a cool gold propeller. I took a picture of it before we walked on. We liked the old racing boat out front too, that's really cool! They also have some nice flowers by the entrance. And lastly, the interior is nice and spacious with a great view of Lake Macatawa. The service was really nice, everyone was nice and they were very attentive. I can't remember what it was called but we ordered this blood orange drink that was delicous! We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for our appetizer. It was really good, they use some great cheeses and that makes a difference. For my entree I got the lobster roll with truffle fries. For a Michigan lobster roll it is quite good, and the truffle fries went well with it. But what really blew our minds was my wife's entree: The Brisket sandwich. We each tried a bite of our foods, and neither of could believe how good the Brisket sandwich was! Wow! Excellent flavor, great texture, and well proportioned! Utterly amazing! We will definitely be back 😁

Rating four stars. The food was great and flavorful, service was amazing, and drinks were delicious. I took off one star because the salsa (pictured) tastes like straight up tomato soup 🥫 like they poured out a can of tomato soup and served it as “salsa”… honestly a jar of Tostitos salsa would have been 1000x better than the salsa they gave us. I say this not to criticize, but to help this restaurant be better. If you’d change the salsa, it would level up this restaurant significantly. I hope you really do fix this. You’d get many more returning customers. Sincerely, a self-proclaimed foodie.

Hot dog restaurant
Dune Dogz is a charming beachside eatery in Holland that offers a diverse menu of ice cream treats, as well as various types of hot dogs, burgers, and sandwiches. They even have a dedicated section for fried foods. The staff are always friendly, and the food is both delicious and slightly pricier than typical fast food options. However, the high quality of the dishes and the inviting beach atmosphere make it worthwhile. Their lemonade is particularly exceptional.
We are so glad we walked over from the campground next door to enjoy dinner here! We ordered 2 Chicago dogs which were perfectly made and very tasty. They were right in point! The fries are a little pricey, but well worth it! We got a small and it was a tower of fresh, crispy fries that were absolutely delicious. Don’t snooze in the fries, they’re well worth the price. There was no way we were missing out on dessert. The medium sundae is a great buy at $5, add $1 for the hard ice cream from Hudsonville. It’s totally worth it! This is some of the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. My guy got the hot fudge banana royal which was gigantic. He also subbed the hard ice cream choice. Definitely make this a stop in your trip to the beach. You won’t be disappointed!

It's a shack for beach food so temper your expectations. A small fries is $7 with $2 extra for a tiny squirt of cheese. The portions are tiny and everything is just bagged frozen off-brand food. We trusted the other reviews and shouldn't have. Unless youre starving and can't make it a mile down the road into town, do yourself a favor and pass on by.

Perfect spot for a beach bite or a cooldown after a hike on Mt Pisquah. Lots of ice cream options too. Food quality isn’t amazing, but is reflected in the low price.

What a fun spot on the way to Holland State Park! Let’s call it extra delicious, stationary carnival food! Super charming atmosphere. Outdoor seating only. I had the Chicago style hotdog which was absolutely delicious. The fries are also a home run.

After a walk on the beach, stopped by for what we thought was going to be a quick, affordable bite to eat. Ordered 2 medium drinks, medium fries, 2 hot dogs and a "grilled chicken" wrap... all for 42$ ... grilled chicken wrap was cold, I had to walk up and ask if it was cooked.

They changed their corn dog batter . The hot dogs themselves were a little better than last year (2024) but the batter was no good.very cheep tasting, like a gas station corn dog or frozen. The fried pickle spears were decent. A large lemonade is very pricy with mostly ice ($8) but decent tasting . My daughter loves this place. We come every year. but this time she didn’t finish her corn dog. The dogs are not great quality for how expensive they are. Customer service is a bit lacking too.

What treasure on the Lakeshore!!! It is a nice short afternoon trip from Grand Rapids, Muskegon or Kalamazoo located in Holland, MI. The food is fantastic, and the selection is amazing, so many choices you have to keep coming back for more! Burgers, hotdogs, fish and so many delicious crisped up vegetables. It was like I "fried" and went to Heaven. The prices are very reasonable, the service is fast and friendly, and I had the great opportunity to meet the owners Dan and Kim. You can tell they care about their food and customers. The decor and flowers surrounding the restaurant are absolutely beautiful. Did I mention they have ice cream and other hot weather treats. The grape slush is my favorite!!! I highly recommend Dune Dogz & Treats when you want to treat yourself and your family.

Good hot dogs and French fries, the fried pickles tasted overcooked though and had a weird batter. Ice cream was good though and the workers were kind! No bathrooms (that we saw at least)

Butch's Dry Dock is a renowned dining establishment located in Downtown Holland, just a short drive from Allegan County, Michigan. It offers both formal dining and a casual pub experience with an extensive selection of traditional dishes and an impressive array of wines and beers. The restaurant takes pride in being one of the select few worldwide to hold the prestigious Wine Spectator's Best Award of Excellence, showcasing its commitment to offering top-notch wine and beer options that perfectly complement their delectable food offerings.
A really good restaurant. Great cocktails and wines during happy hour (4-6pm). Staff was great. I chatted with several locals and tourists during happy hour as I tried various wines and cocktails, and then got a table on the back patio with outdoor seating. Had the burger paired with a really nice Gamay. IMO the best place in town for a nice private dinner, or sitting inside at the bar. First time you go there it is a bit tricky finding the bathroom (but locals had funny stories about it).

We went here for my birthday. It was a lovely place! But my partner and I had some feedback: 1. Old Fashioned: my partner ordered this. It was too strong. A lot of the sugar was sitting on the bottom and not mixed in. However the more he drank and swirled, it became more watered down and easier to drink. 2. Rib Eye Steak: 6/10 For the price, this missed the mark. The fat was not cooked enough and the meat was somewhat rubbery - may have been frozen. It needed more salt and pepper before cooking and I ended up rubbing the butter from our bread to help enhance the flavor. The house Demi did not do enough to make up for it unfortunately. Recommendation: Go to a steak house instead if you have a steak craving. 3. Sourdough Bread: it was really good! But salty (I know it says salt in the menu, but it was really salty). And it was not worth the price (you get like four pieces of bread for $10) Now on to the positives! 1. The Dark and Stormy cocktail was really good as well as the glass of wine we ordered. They have many to choose from. 2. The chicken I ordered was really good! Very juicy. I just wish it came with a side. 3. The service was very good. We were directed to our seats right away and our server was very friendly and attentive. 4. I love the tulip wine glasses! They are very cute! 5. Espresso: Tasted freshly ground. Good flavor and not too acidic. 6. Fall Gelato: Seasonal. Best thing on the menu! Fall notes: cinnamon, gingerbread. Not overly sweet. Bottom Line: Lovely place, worth a try. We would still come back, but will try different things!

A delicious dinner in downtown historic Holland. We did not have reservations, but we’re still seated promptly. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderfully delicious. We started with the curried pumpkin soup, it had a wonderful flavor. It was delicious. I had salmon that was prepared perfectly. We also had the filet mignon, which was equally delicious. I would definitely eat here again the next time I’m in downtown Holland.

My cocktail was to die for. They were accommodating with my kids and their allergies, making sure to confirm allergens with the kitchen so we could adjust orders respectively. The sourdough starter was shared between 4 of us (2 adults 2 kids) and was a favorite.

Our food was excellent and perfectly prepared. Karrie took such good care of us and was a lovely server and an wonderful addition to our night. Matt, who I believe was the GM, was gracious. His attention to detail went above and beyond. Every fine dining establishment should have him on board. Lovely restaurant, lovely dinner, lovely evening. Thank you both for making it perfect. We dined outdoors with another couple. The appetizer bread and butter is a must! We had 4 different entrees, all excellent. I had the hanger steak...highly recommend it! I ordered it medium, and it was perfect for my taste and as the server described it. Our server, Megan T, was knowledgeable, friendly and top-notch! Suggest reservation for outside dining.

We sat at the bar (tables were available but we wanted the bar). We had a nice bottle of wine ($60). We had the scallops ($18) as an app. For meals my husband had the chili walleye ($32) and I had the filet ($56). It was worth every penny! Jeanette was our bartender/server and she was wonderful! It was an excellent atmosphere. It's family friendly, casual but at the same time classy and fine dining. We will definitely be back!
Amanda F — Google review
I wasn't overly impressed with the food I received. I ordered gnocchi and scallops. The portion size was very small. Only two scallops the size of quarters, and they were slightly overdone. It was bland unfortunately. The drinks were very good and had the right amount of alcohol. I understand the target customer but for the price of everything, I would have rather spent it at Ruth's Chris.

Windmill Island Gardens is a seasonal park in Holland, featuring stunning tulip gardens and a 250-year-old windmill called 'De Zwaan.' The park offers guided tours of the windmill and manicured gardens, with Dutch-costumed guides providing an authentic experience. Visitors can also enjoy attractions such as a hand-painted Dutch carousel, children's playground, picnic areas, and gift shops. The 36-acre site includes canals, dikes, and picturesque landscapes.
This place was such a cool visit on our road trip back to Indiana from Michigan! I happened to see it while we were driving, and knew my husband would enjoy this sort of thing. It was cheap to get in and the shops had such neat souvenirs to bring back. We got to tour what I believe was said to be the only authentic Dutch windmill in the United States, which was multiple levels, with an outside lookout on the level where the blades were. Everyone was very kind working here and the gardens were taken care of impeccably. Highly recommend this stop as you can spend hours enjoying these gardens (would love to see it during the tulip season as well!).
Rachelle I — Google review
This place is so cool, so well maintained! $16 per adult. The windmill is very neat to explore. Each staff member was very kind and welcoming. The lawn care is spectacular and the flowers are stunning. We came mid July, and no tulips were still in bloom, which is a bummer but I would highly recommend the visit!
Jamie M — Google review
This is a great garden park downtown. I can only imagine the chaos when tulips are in bloom. You can walk up inside the windmill and explore, they have a couple history buffs inside. Apparently it even runs from time to time. There is a small village and gifts shop on the grounds. Its worth the stop. 13bucks a head. Pets allowed.
Tyler D — Google review
I had a really great time here and lots of walking, so wear good gym shoes. The windmill is really beautiful and I walked all the way to the top. Beautiful flowers and trees and a small bridge over water to walk over. Pleasant and really peaceful looking at the artwork. No wait to get in because it's September and the tulips are done blooming. Cute gift shop with free cheese samples. Apparently people also get married here which would be a beautiful wedding. This is a kid friendly place and they have a carousel and small park area. Very clean. I would like to visit again when the tulips are blooming.
Eclipse M — Google review
Enjoyable experience, I wouldn’t rave about it but to be fair we visited towards the end of September so not the best time of year to see flowers in bloom. Highlight for our visit would be the windmill and climbing to the top. There is a good shop selling lots of nice souvenirs at fair prices. There is a mechanical organ that plays at a quarter past and quarter to the hour. And there is a carousel and little play park to keep kids entertained although the former didn’t appear to be open when we visited as the gardens were very quiet and there were no children there. Also check out the flower beds to see the Monarch butterflies.
Brian M — Google review
It was a nice place to visit. Lots of walking, it was neat to be able to climb up to the top of the windmill, sit in the large wooden shoe, the gift shop was awesome, and loved the buildings. It's definitely worth a visit. It was fascinating to see the staff going up and down the stairs wearing their woodenshoes. And a demo of the organ playing.

Beautiful and peaceful spot in Holland, MI! Entry is only $5 with free parking. There’s a large Dutch-style windmill, open green fields to relax on, and small shops with Dutch snacks and souvenirs. Great for a short stroll or quiet afternoon — free admission if you have an AHS Garden Network membership.
Piggly W — Google review
Beautiful location that houses an authentic old dutch windmill from the 1800s amidst a beautiful and well kept garden. We learned a lot about the rich dutch history and heritage of Holland as well as the inner workings of a windmill. Ticket was $13 per person. There is ample parking on site. Prepare to walk if you are here. We actually walked from downtown to the windmill and it was very doable.

Window on the Waterfront, also known as Riverview Park, is a 30-acre area along the marsh in downtown Holland, MI. It features walking and biking paths, a baseball field, and thousands of tulips that bloom during the spring tulip time celebration. The park offers well-laid-out walkways with benches along the marsh and a boardwalk extending over it. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of De Zwaan on Windmill Island from some viewing platforms.
Tulips are gorgeous for this year's Tulip Festival. Free to view. There are 2 different play areas with wood structures for climbing etc. for children. A few picnic tables to enjoy lunch while enjoying being outside.

This is the largest free (to access) collection of tulips we found in Holland, MI during Tulip Time. It’s a great and beautiful place to stop in and check out. We arrived the first Friday right before the festival technically started just before sunset and there were very few other people there. Saturday during the day it was swarming with people, so keep that in mind when planning. This also has a decently large playground nearby for the children.
Ryan P — Google review
Very peaceful, serene evening walking path, great views of the windmill and river; lots of green natural landscape and overhead views of interesting birds in flight. There weren’t many people on the path late evening on a weeknight. The trail goes along the river and ends at Central Ave by 3rd street and the water reclamation facility.
Stephanie P — Google review
Window in the waterfront is a lovely short walk that is completely paved over so it’s handicap accessible. There are water fountains and benches along the way if you’d like to stop and take a break or eat lunch. Every time I’ve been I’ve seen lots of wildlife and the addition to the sunflower/zinnia patches off the path near the children’s play area have made it even more stunning.

This popular spot has been a highlight of downtown Holland since 1997, known for its innovative craft beers and delightful open-air restaurant and bar.
Huge place we visited because it was the only place open on Sunday night. Glad we tried it, the food was great! Our server was nice, even though she started off a bit snarky, she got better as the evening went on. My son got a pepperoni pizza, my littles got the kids macaroni and cheese (which is artisanal, and my daughter wouldn’t eat it), kids cheeseburger (son loved it) and the kids chicken tenders (son loved them). The fries are tasty. I got the pepperoni pinwheels as a meal, they were good. My husband got the French dip sandwich, with the Cajun coleslaw, he said all was good and coleslaw was spicy. Not a bad meal and reasonably priced.

Great spot, great food, great brews! We ordered the corn dip (which is sinfully good) and a pizza (also delicious). Husband had a flight and was pleased with them all. Tho we agree the Triple Mash was the best. I’m not a beer person so was happy to learn they had a full bar as well. Not to be dramatic, but I think their Cabana Punch is the best cocktail I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Decent place. We got right in, no wait. Spacious. Moderate noise level, decent menu options, and drinks were good. The food was delicious. Then we hit the shop. There are so many goodies to purchase. It's definitely worth a stop after a long day of shopping. Staff was friendly.

Great spot for lunch. Our server, Sarah, was super friendly and helpful. We went on a Monday during lunch and it wasn’t busy at all so everything was super quick. The pickle pizza is GREAT!! Great selection of beer. They also offer craft sodas instead of Coke or Pepsi which is a nice bonus!

I am biased as I have been a fan of dragons milk beer for years and have been dying to visit this place but I believe their selection of beers and cocktails are incredible! A wonderful tourist stop for a small beverage and good bar food!

On our way to our vacation spot my husband and I stopped at a rest area and I picked up a brochure this was listed as a must see. It was not just a Park it was a wonderland. The Wizard of Oz display was absolutely magical! It brought back so many memories of anticipation waiting to watch it every year. The sculptures of the caricatures and the giant Wizard of Oz book made completely with flowers. You must go and explore this place... it's definitely more than a traditional Park. It was magic.❤️ Follow that, "Yellow Brick Road".

I was in town for the Tulip Fest, and I loved this park so much! It was large enough to walk around or find a spot to settle, and there were a lot of tulip clusters so you could take photos and enjoy them without being crowded or in everyone’s way. It’s a fantastic place to see the tulips for free.

This is a gorgeous park. Several flower beds, a peaceful moss-covered fountain, a large gazebo, and a koi pond are just a few of the features we enjoyed while we walked around. Though, be warned, if the koi see you, they'll all swim to you and make you feel guilty for not having any food for them. From the park, it's an easy walk to all the best downtown Holland has to offer, and there's plenty of easy parking too.

A great Irish Pub! If you're looking for some incredibly awesome food in Holland, Michigan, this place should be on your list. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the seating area outside was very nice. Our whipped feta appetizer was delicious. We'll definitely be making that at home sometime soon. The pita bread and veggies served with it were equally as delicious. If you don't try it, you're missing out on something incredible. My Irish Stew was also very good. I'd definitely order it again. My wife's pork chops were also very good along with her potatoes and mixed vegetables. I'm not sure when we'll be back in Holland, but this will definitely be on our list of places to go. Great experience on a Saturday night, place was pretty busy, regardless good prompt service and good came out quickly and piping hot. I’d come back!

Excellent food & good service. They sat us in an area with no other customers that they said wasn't open at the time. When they found us a few minutes later, apologized and were sure to take great care of us. Parking's usually no issue around the back, but a few days to Tulip Time and we had to circle around twice to find a spot. A bit pricey for me personally, but thankfully they list prices on their website unlike some other restaurants. I will absolutely be going back.

My daughter and I did a mini roadtrip up to Hollad from South Bend. Decided to give this restaurant a try. We sat outside and the hostesses were great, friendly. Our waitress was okay and we wish we would of had one that was more attentive or organized. I dont know if she was newish or just not organized in her orders. I ordered waters for us and a appetizer of mozzarella sticks. My daughter ordered the apple cider drink and it was brought out quickly. The mozzarella sticks were really good, possibly the best I've had. Our waitress stopped by again to take our order. Then about 30 minutes later came back asked how our sticks were then said "you guys didn't order dinners so is there anything else I can get you?" I said "Yes, we did order entrées." She couldn't find where she wrote them down. So I told her what we ordered. She then said "oh I don't think I put that in yet, I'll go do it now." Our food came out about 5 minutes later. She never refilled our waters or asked my daughter if she wanted another apple cider drink. She came and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. I asked if we could have a couple more napkins like 2 or 3 more. She told me "if I have time I will". Okay cool never got them. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back for the food. It was busy as it was a Saturday afternoon but all the servers were busy and attentive to their tables.

The Curragh Irish Pub is true to its name. Irish food at the core of the menu and an extensive drink menu, especially for beer drinkers. We enjoyed lunch on the patio on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and our party of 6 started with the artichoke spinach dip served with corn chips and bread along with hummus served with a lot of veges and pita. Burgers and other sandwiches were good. Stew and soup received less favorable reviews. Service friendly and very relaxed, taking over 90 minutes start to finish. Bathrooms downstairs and stair treads are buckled. Elevator not particularly wheelchair friendly. Nice place for lunch and happy they had a table readily available for a fairly large party right away.

We were here on vacation and decided on here for lunch. Despite being near end of September the weather was fine and sunny so we sat outside. The service was good as was the food and the Magners cider! I was certainly stuffed after what we were served for our lunch so dinner later was a light snack.

We visited Irish Pop for weekend lunch during the Holland Tulip Festival. The atmosphere was lively with Irish live music, which we really enjoyed. Despite the busy crowd, the staff was friendly and worked well as a team—so the food didn’t take long to arrive, which was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the Guinness Fish and Chips and the Chicken Sandwich. The fish had a light Guinness beer aroma, with a crispy coating that added nice flavor, although the fish itself was a bit dry. The coleslaw on the side was crunchy, not overly salty, and quite tasty. The tartar sauce paired well with it too. The grilled chicken in the sandwich was a little dry, but considering how busy the kitchen must be during the festival, the overall quality was still acceptable.

Obstacle No. 1 is a speakeasy bar located in Downtown Holland, offering a sophisticated and whimsical ambiance with intricate cocktails. It shares a kitchen and food menu with the neighboring Latin and Spanish restaurant, Poquito, where patrons can enjoy small tapas-style dishes and drinks like margaritas and sangria.
The BEST experience and drinks! We were visiting family, we are from Nashville, and we were so happy to have found Obstacles No. 1! John was such a wonderful help and bartender. The vibe was incredible and drinks were top tier! You need to come!

Am I in LA or Holland, Michigan? Who knows when you’re inside this place?!? Really SPECIAL drinks for a special night out. Dark & cozy. Great staff. Love it! Elaborate cocktails priced $16-$25. Treat yourself!

This was my second visit to Obstacle One, and it was just as fantastic as the first several years ago. The Don the Beachcomber 2.0 is a must-try, and the small plates are equally impressive. The bacon-wrapped dates and crispy Brussels sprouts were delicious, among many other tasty options. It’s a great spot for a date night or a fun outing with friends. Highly recommended!

Visiting from out of town and always look up best cocktails. This was a winner. Really cool moody cocktail lounge! Craft cocktails at their best! Thanks Jonathon for the creations! Didn’t rate food as we only had cocktails - but it looked good.

Great spot for fancy cocktails. May need to wait a bit to grab a spot, but definitely worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back! Really talented bartenders and the atmosphere is great!

Wonderful place for an evening nightcap. We stopped in after our anniversary dinner on the waterfront. This was a very cool, romantic place. The selection of craft drinks is exceptional and the service was extraordinary. Highly recommend stopping in for an after dinner drink. They do have a food menu, but we did not partake, so cannot comment.

Love this spot! You’ll need reservations ~two weeks out, so plan accordingly. Also, plenty of goat cheese on the menu so no need to bring your own. Whiskey for days, rum for years and fresh cocktails on the menu as needed.

What a unique bar/lounge for Holland. Small inside, but it makes it feel very intimate and relaxing. The bartender was very knowledge and willing to mix drinks to our tastes that weren’t even on the menu. Keep in mind this isn’t somewhere you’ll go for a quick drink. This is somewhere you’ll want to kick back and hang out a while.

Authentic Japanese restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Mizu Sushi is a contemporary eatery located in downtown Holland, offering a sophisticated and modern environment for those craving Japanese and Korean cuisine. Known as the premier sushi spot in the city, it boasts an extensive menu featuring nigiri and maki sushi rolls, along with Asian entrees for non-seafood options. The owner is often found behind the sushi bar creating fresh rolls himself.
Wonderful dining experience while dining in at Holland’s best Japanese restaurant. Service was well paced and portions were appropriate. Id recommend Crab Rangoon in appetizers and Crunch Vegas from the specialty sushi rolls.

Hidden gem in Holland! Did not expect the sushi to be as good as it was! Everything tasted fresh and was prepared very well. Was a busy night and came an hour before close but got seated right away. Good server who gave us roll recommendations. The restaurant can get quite packed with tables close together but all in all it was an excellent dining experience! Will definitely be back!

Solid presentation, but didn’t deliver on taste the way I wanted. This could be because while I was visiting I had to drive roughly 30 mins home before I could eat and the fish was definitely more room temperature and the taste/texture was a bit more off putting to what I’m used to. That being said at the very least they are a good bargain. $12-$14 special roll pricing is fantastic. I hope I can come again and sit down to eat, because with the reviews of this spot I might have come at an off day!
Eric Y — Google review
I’ve been to Mizu Sushi a few times now, and they’ve usually done a good job. The food has always been good, and the sushi combination was both filling and delicious. They didn’t skimp on the tobiko, and the nigiri sushi tasted great. There was a good variety of fish in the combo. Service was good this time, but it can get slow when they’re busier. The place looks pleasant. I’d definitely consider this one of the best Asian restaurants in Holland.

The fact that I was able to order a sushi roll with no rice, heavenly! Service and food, amazing! Been 3 times and never disappointed, thank you!

I've been here about 4 times now and the sushi has been excellent every time. Its never a long wait for a table, or service, or the food. It being one of the only sushi places in Holland, I'd say its up there with the best options in Grand Rapids. Plenty of parking except during Tulip Time. They have more than just sushi as well with their Pho, Hot Pot, Bulgogi, Bibimbop, etc. This is my first choice for sushi in Holland.
Nicholas Z — Google review
This is really bad. The type of bad food that makes you upset. First, I did not order sushi. Perhaps that was our mistake. We had the spicy Ramen noodle as we just finisheded a long drive. It was worst than if a college dorm student just used water, instant noodle, forgot to add the flavor packets, and throwing in what was in the refrigerator: over cooked meat, eggs, and cabbage and mystery veggies. We couldn't finish it. There was no flavor. Not sure how this is considered spicy beyond the visual coloring. This felt intentionally bad food scrapped from the bottom of dishes being washed. The green tea was serve in plastic, was like warm, and watered down as if from yesterday. Beyond the color, not sure if it is really green tea. One thing they can do to improve is not serve soups or green tea. Given this experience, I'm unlikely return to try to sushi unless there is a natural food shortage. No. Not even then On the positive note, friendly service.

Such an awesome place to grab a cocktail and some great food! The vibe is super cool, you can actually see the distillery while you eat, which makes it extra fun. We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing, super friendly and spot-on with drink and food suggestions. I’m 100% coming back for that Pretzel with Cheese and Mustard Dip (sooo good!). Big shoutout to the owners who sat next to us, it was a blast chatting and hearing more about your distillery.

After walking (not tiptoeing) through the Tulips we stopped for a bite at Collpercraft. The bad news was that they did not serve food any longer, but you can bring food into the tasting room - we had non so we went to another place for food. The good news is that we came back with full stomachs to taste several good bourbons, a couple of rye whiskeys, and cocktails and our husbands joined us. Great place, with excellent service, and good drinks. You can get as much or as little involved in the history, making, and tasting of their products. When in Holland this is a great place to explore

Great atmosphere and drinks. Would definitely go back again. Service was a bit slow either because they were short staffed or something. I got the fries poutine and my friend got Mac and cheese. Nelis' Dutch Village is a beloved attraction in Holland, Michigan that offers an immersive experience of Dutch culture for the entire family. The village features fully costumed staff dedicated to showcasing Dutch traditions, including wooden shoe making, cheese production, and traditional dancing. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as making their own Dutch Stroopwafel cookies and exploring the petting zoo. Additionally, the village boasts a small theme park with a Ferris wheel and opportunities to taste local beers.
This place completely exceeded our expectations. Entry was reasonably priced for all that was included. We enjoyed the Dutch Dancers, watching the show carving demonstration, cheese tasting as well as kids’ rides and petting zoo area. Went with our 3.5yo and 1yo, and plenty to do for both of them honestly. Not to mention, the beautiful array of tulips throughout the park! Would definitely visit again in the future.

Nice place, love all the little buildings. The demonstration. The staff are all super friendly and very nice. Lots of stuff to buy in the gift shop. There are plenty of ducks in the river. A petting zoo, and you can even purchase a bunny or two. They have amusement park rides for the kids. It is a nice place to check out and get a glimpse of how a Dutch village looks.

A fun & educational place to visit with family. They have great demonstrations of how cheese was made in the Netherlands, how wooden shoes were made. There were Dutch dances with the organ playing. The vintage ride were fun for kids of all ages. The overall atmosphere felt very calm, yet fun & different, like visiting a tiny town in Europe. Overall recommend for everyone to visit.

Very cool, odd, fun and enjoyable couple of hours. I was nervous about taking two young teens due to reviews but they had a blast. Many things for them to enjoy as older children. Being dog friendly was a nice bonus. We only waited for one ride.

Fun place for kids + parents. I felt that the price was good for everything we did. Admission covers all of the rides/activities. Ideal for ages 3-8, I would say. Staff are very friendly and wear cultural clothing (even clogs). Recommend if you are in the area !

20250708 A very dogfriendly small property jam-packed with so much to do for all ages. This theme park is great for small children with playground, petting zoo, and rides as well as ice cream. Things to do for teenagers and adults such as rides, entertainment and shopping. I did everything except for games, rides and food related because it's not dogfriendly. The gift shop is very large will so many things to buy. It's shopping in Holland without flying to Holland. 🛩😁 I got a little red wooden tulip on a stand for my coworker who covers for me when I'm on vacation, which is quite often. I didn't buy anything else because I didn't really fly to Holland, missing the real meaning and experience of being in Holland.
Tilly L — Google review
A good place to visit when going to Holland. It’s a must visit for first timers in Holland during tulip festival. The tulips and the old European design houses are colorful and vibrant. There is a lot of activities for kids to play around including animal petting barn. Apart from this you can see the live chocolate making and hand made porcelain utensils, wooden shoes and other items that Dutch used. You can spend ~3 hours in leisure.

Miniature golf course

Sundae Sundae Golf Golf offers a seasonal mini-golf experience at Pirates Landing and Craigs Cruisers. The course may have some maintenance issues, but it is still playable and enjoyable. While the front 18 holes are better maintained than the back 18, the shaded areas make it a great place for kids to have fun near the beach. It's recommended to check their website for exact opening dates and times before planning your visit.
It's a fun stop if you have a little one that wants to play mini golf. There is a 18 course, "front" side and a 18 course, "back" side. You can pay for one or both. There's also a mini playground also tailored to young toddlers, and options for sweets if you want a treat.
Phi D — Google review
Great coarse! Challenging and very fun. If you're not wanting to climb too many stairs the back 18 is what you wanna play. Definitely recommend playing all 36 holes though! $12 for 36 holes or $9 for 18
Nate W — Google review
Pretty chill mini golf course. Lots of holes and not a bad price. Some were more difficult than others. Some holes at the beginning of the front half smelled a little interesting. Other than that, it didn’t seem bad. There weren’t many people when we went. Pretty sure we were the only group there.
Zoe : — Google review
We had noticed some work being done on this course so thought it had to be improved from the last ti.e we were there. NOPE. It should be totally shut down until all repairs are made. My husband tripped over a loose brick. The walks over the creeks were crooked and a huge step up at one point. The steps needed to climb were loose and crooked. Several more bricks were very unsafe to walk on. Again it is not a safe place for people to go to. Shut it down until all repairs are done. We will not be going back.
Sue M — Google review
Will never go back. Place needs a lot of work. Bricks uneven, instead of putting new grass down in some areas, they patched it. REALLY??? stairs and bridges were absolutely dangerous to walk on. Our balls were hitting the bricks that were out of place in the greens. Should have looked at the property before playing. Lesson learned 🫤
Deb W — Google review
Don’t waste your money… Major water hazards ON the GREEN!!!! Bricks falling. Ripped turf. Animal poop! On the fairway’s. Went for a good time so disappointed. Holland could do better!
Marjorie M — Google review
Course is "playable" I suppose. The price isn't bad for 36 holes. The three of us played 36 today and every hole had either a rip in the felt, missing bricks, fall hazard, or an exposed nail where the wooden perimeter barrier had rotted away. We were nervous that our toddler was going to hurt himself more often than not. Back 18 hole #2 has 2 "holes" that drop to a different level. One of them I assume didn't work, because it had a large stone stuffed in it. I wouldn't know if it worked or not because there wasn't any signage. All in all, feels like a mini golf course that was built in the 90s and hasn't been touched since. Much rougher condition than similarly priced courses.
Jim H — Google review
2023 update: (stay away, see photos) $50 for 6 Worst of all they give you free ice cream for a 5 star review. This place is a hazard. You're always tripping (physically not mentally). The holes are impossible, have creases where the ball is a dead stop. Missing side stops (bricks) next to the water. Original review 10 years old: Greens are coming off, sticks ect on every course. Bathrooms made us feel dirty just by looking inside the room. Service was good and the ice cream was a good price

The Target I made my purchase at was clean and well lit. The associate that assisted me was friendly and knowledgeable. He checked us out at the register in the electronics department. Until they can figure out a better way to do pickups I won’t be back. It’s ridiculous to allow people to checkout cart full of merchandise when they pickup an item. I had 1 item for pickup yet had to wait behind multiple people with hundreds of items in their carts! SMH! They need a separate lane just for pickup only!

Came here with my girlfriend. She checked out before me at the self checkout kiosk and was waiting for me to come out. When I did the female security guard at the exit asked for her receipt. She had thrown it away since she didn’t need it. (Mind you many people were passing by without having to show their receipts.) She made her go back and dig through the trash to find her receipt (for 4 small items that totalled just ~$14 dollars). Not going to make any assumptions here, but my girlfriend doesn’t speak English well and is Asian, so make of that what you will. Not sure why no one else was being harassed. Will never be coming here again.

i asked the employee at the fitting rooms if they sold nose piercing jewelry and she laughed in my face and then gave another employee a look as if i was an idiot for even asking and proceeded to say “i don’t know” the other employee didn’t react and said she’d look it up for me but i told them it wasn’t that deep and walked out. i’d rather look elsewhere and support any other store if that’s the kinda way im going to be treated for asking a simple question. I work retail too and i would never treat anyone that way. Grow up.

Park
Hemlock Crossing Park is an appealing recreational area with a launching point for kayaks into the Pigeon River, which eventually flows into Pigeon Lake and then Lake Michigan. The park offers stunning scenery, tranquility, and a peaceful ambiance. It is advisable to avoid visiting during peak hours when it tends to get crowded. Visitors can relax in their vehicles or find solace in various leisure activities while appreciating the park's beauty.
This is a really nice park. It's scenic and has been pretty quiet the number of times that I've been there, but I try not to go when it's busy. I usually hang out or sit in the truck and enjoy the scenery. Very peaceful and beautiful.
5lleighl16 — Google review
Howard B. Dunton Park is one of Holland’s best-kept secrets for anyone who loves being by the water. Whether you’re here to fish, walk, or just relax, the park has a little something for everyone. The fishing pier is the main highlight—it stretches out over Lake Macatawa and offers plenty of space for anglers. It's well-maintained, with benches and railings, making it a great spot for both seasoned fishermen and families introducing their kids to casting a line. The views from the pier are beautiful at any time of day, especially during sunset when the sky reflects over the lake. I've seen people catch bass, bluegill, and the occasional walleye or perch, depending on the season. Beyond the fishing pier, the park has clean restrooms, picnic areas, a small playground, and paved walking paths that make it accessible to everyone. It’s peaceful, rarely overcrowded, and feels like a calm getaway right in town. There’s also a canoe/kayak launch if you want to get out on the water. The grounds are well-kept, and parking is free and easy to find. Overall, Dunton Park is a great spot for a low-key afternoon outdoors. Highly recommend it whether you're local or just passing through Holland.

Arby's, a popular fast-food chain renowned for its roast beef offerings, specializes in serving a variety of both hot and cold sandwiches alongside delectable fries and shakes. Customers often enjoy their distinctive curly fries. While some find the Reuben sandwich satisfactory, it could benefit from an added kick as the sauerkraut flavor may be lacking. Interestingly, one half of the sandwich outshines the other. The friendly employees make dining experience pleasant.
Tried the Italian sub today, outstanding!!! I don’t let myself splurge on fast food very often. The unsweetened ice tea is always fresh. My only wish would be healthy sides like a side salad instead of fries.

We love Arby's but lately the food is terrible and ALWAYS cold. It sucks. This is probably the 3-4 time we have gone and the food is sooo cold and just made poorly. Didn't even eat it this time. Sandwiches a mess. Meat in a lump. Fries nasty. It's truly disappointing! Not sure we will be back to this location. The milkshakes are awesome! I hope you guys work on the food side of things:(
Lindsay B — Google review
Place is hit or miss with the food. Some times the fries are cold, sometimes the roast beef sandwich looks like it was being thrown across the room into your bag of cold fries. I even heard the worker say, don't remake that sandwich. I was too far to go back but considering they knew that sandwhich shouldn't have been served ill just avoid this location for now.
DA R — Google review
We received really old hard curly fries disappointing. Tried to do a receipt review and there’s no order # on the receipt to enter in the field. We ordered 3 cheese sauce didn’t receive any of them. Poor quality curly fries was a huge disappointment they weren’t edible. Sandwiches were ok. Mac n cheese noodles looked old and the cheese sauce appeared to be dumped on top of the noodles, appearing very unappealing. I see why they have a bogo on weekends the quality is extremely lacking .

The food here was absolutely fantastic! I took a chance on the new Sweet Heat Beef Brisket and thoroughly enjoyed it. People knock Arby's but it's honestly the best fast food around. And big shout out to the manager Wendy who helped us, she was very patient and positive. Wonderful experience.

Bakery
Deboer Bakkerij North Side is a charming cafe and bakery that offers a delightful array of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, featuring numerous traditional Dutch recipes. Founded by Jakob de Boer, a fourth-generation Dutch baker, this European-style restaurant in Michigan provides an authentic taste of Dutch cuisine.
This was a great brunch. We had to wait maybe 20 minutes for a table after arriving around noon. The cinnamon roll pancakes, corned beef, and chicken and waffles were all delcious. Staff was friendly and food came out quick.

Delicious food, coffee, and pastries. We dined at the counter, as it was first come-first serve so we could sit immediately. Our breakfast was very good and portions are plentiful. We grabbed some pastries afterwards for later in the day. The pigs in a blanket (sausage roll) are divine!

The food is filling and flavorful. Such a cozy spot. Very kid friendly. They even let us order an item from the bakery that wasn’t technically on the restaurant menu because our son really wanted the blueberry donut (which was phenomenal btw). I got hippy hash and my husband got biscuits and gravy. It was sooo good. Mouth is watering just thinking about it again. The pickled onion in the hash really balanced well and was my favorite part.

Went for brunch with a friend. He got breakfast; I got lunch. Great atmosphere evoking a Nederlandse bakerij. I was instantly drawn to the Dutch sampler. Where else can you get pea soup, croquets, krakelingen, etc? It was very good, and we enjoyed our meals. Only drawback is that we weren't checked in on after being served until just before our check came and my coffee got cold.

A must have when visiting Holland! If you make a trip to the area plan for breakfast here. They have wonderful food, awesome service and nice atmosphere. It can get busy so be patient. Be sure to get some of the classics and shared them around the table.

We always love coming to DeBoer Bakerjj in Holland — the food is always fantastic! This visit, two employees really stood out: Case and Eva. They went above and beyond to make sure customers were seated quickly, tables were cleared right away, and everyone was taken care of with a smile. Their energy and great personalities made our experience even better. It’s always nice to see staff who genuinely care about their customers and their work. Highly recommend this place!

Chinese restaurant
Panda Express, a Chinese fast-food establishment, offers a variety of dishes that cater to both traditional Chinese standards and health-conscious individuals. While frequently frequented through the drive-through, customers are delighted upon entering the restaurant as they discover a pleasant and welcoming ambiance. The interior boasts cleanliness and the staff is known for their amiable nature. Moreover, patrons can indulge in flavorful cuisine served here.
The 3.2 stars on Google atm do not reflect my experience today. I'm 3 hours away from home and Leah V made me smile and feel welcomed. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. Thank you for making my day with a wonderful meal.

I love the atmosphere here so friendly and welcoming. So many choices. We got the orange chicken, steak and peppers, fried rice, noodles. Egg rolls vegetarian and crab ragoons . The orange chicken had good flavor I like mine a more crunchy than soft. The steak and peppers was delicious the meat was soft and delicate. Flavor bomb. The fried rice was also very good. Not big chunks of meat. Perfect. The noodles were plain to me. The egg rolls were crunchy which I loved. But not very Flavorful. Crab ragoons my kids loved them. They definitely give you alot of food for your money.

Everytime I go thru the drive thru. It sucks. I asked for extra sweet and sour as well as soy. and was given teriyaki, I also didn’t have straws. So i had to honk my horn and ask twice for two separate things. I worked in a drive thru and currently still work in food. Don’t make me feel inconvenient for your mess up. Also, The kids meals use to be a lot heftier for $8 a piece. Really nothing special about going to eat here even if it’s a special occasion. Won’t be back. Also Emely was rude.

Avoid this Panda Express - food is never cooked correctly. The chow mein was overcooked/rock solid and I couldn’t even eat it (see picture). Not sure what happened to this particular Panda Express, but I don’t see it lasting long under these conditions and hope management makes some positive changes.

This place is just horrible. Middle of the day and the lobby is closed. I placed an app order, went to pick it up, and the lobby is closed and the drive thru is about 7 cars deep. I called to cancel my order, because I don't want cold food. The lady I talked to said she will cancel my order and I should get a refund. But she actually put order completed like I picked it up and I doubt I will get my refund. This place is a joke, poorly ran, and thieves I guess. So fo yourself a favor and stay away from this place. You're better off going somewhere else so they don't rob you here.

Have been here about 5 times now. We live out of town and only stop when passing through Holland. Food is always fresh. Service is good. 3 portion sizes available. Can get away with spending about 9 dollars a person with a bowl.
Travis W — Google review
I visited today and placed an order. I paid an extra charge to get the shrimp dish, but the staff told me to take a different item that didn’t require any additional fee. After I complained, it took 30 minutes to finally receive the correct order. Charging extra and providing a different item is unacceptable and feels dishonest. This needs to be addressed.

The service here was so slow. We dined inside and it took over 20 minutes to get our food. The drive thru was being serviced very quickly, but the line inside backed up over 8 people long. Once we received our food, it was somewhat disappointing. The orange chicken had a chemical flavor, almost like soap. The mushroom chicken was good and so was the white rice. Just a big let down after not dining at panda express for 8 year. Used to eat at one in Utah all the time and it was amazing. No longer the case at least at this location.

Taco restaurant
Tacos El Cuñado is a great place for delicious Mexican food at attractive prices. It has a delightful atmosphere, and you'll be very comfortable due to its creative interior. It's definitely worth checking out!
I stopped by this location of Tacos El Cuñado for lunch and was quite happy with it. The interior was bright and cheerful, and the staff was friendly and quick. I ordered the taco trio with beef, chicken, and pork tacos. The tacos were flavorful and filling, and the sides were delicious. I really liked their green salsa. You can’t really go wrong eating here if you like Mexican food at all.
Mateo G — Google review
Salsa is spicy which its not like unbearable. I have l9w spice tolerance. The quesadilla was good, they dont have enchiladas. The birra tacos were probably the best. The building itself is small. The one thing I did notice is the lights had dusk on them and there fake flowers over the tables cute but they collect dust as well. Almost everything is al carte so makes ordering big pretty easy.

Servers were very warm & welcoming, and the food quality was fantastic with speedy service. Stopped in for early lunch and had the trio of breakfast tacos. They are so delicious!! Will happily continue to frequently dine at this wonderful local restaurant.
Michael D — Google review
The food didn't taste great very plain and they hardly put meat in the nachos or burrito. The refried beans taste weird. I wouldn't come here again for $35 for burrito meal and nachos with streak. We had done drive thru but waited a while for the food to come out. They need more workers for when their busy. Customer service was decent.

Stopped by today after DR appointment. First time. Ordered various tacos. Absolutely delicious and authentic food. Service was quick and friendly. Worth the extra $. This is genuine food very tasty. Had pork, chicken, ground beef and chorizo tacos. Will be going back to visit after my appointments!

Great food. Price not too expensive. First time here. Went back few days later. Asked for tomatoes and avacado to b on separate plate. But the tomatoes were in my burrito yuk..had to pick out AND I never got my avacado on side. Mondays they r closed.

Food was delicious. We loved it but if you are looking for white queso this isn’t the place. Otherwise meats are on point. Would go again if we were in town longer.
Georgia W — Google review
I'm an avid taco eater. I can confirm that their marinated pork tacos on corn tortillas are out of this world. The taste is very consistent with the Tacos El Cunados in Grand Rapids. Fast service and pretty clean. Keep up the good work guys and make me the brand ambassador already
