Nature & Parks
Rizal Park, also known as Luneta Park, is a sprawling 57-hectare urban park located in the heart of Manila. It is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, offering lush lawns, vibrant gardens, and outdoor event spaces. The park is an ideal spot for picnics with its shady trees and expansive grassy areas.
My boyfriend and I recently visited Rizal Park, and it was a refreshing and memorable experience. It had been 10 years since my last vacation in Manila, and seeing the park again was truly nostalgic. The park is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing afternoon. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, open spaces, and historical monuments, including the iconic Rizal Monument. Since we visited on a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded, which made our experience even more enjoyable and peaceful. Rizal Park is suitable for families, couples, or anyone looking to experience a blend of history and greenery in the heart of Manila. Overall, it’s a must-visit destination that combines relaxation, culture, and history.

Luneta Park is a refreshing escape right in the heart of Manila. 🌳 Perfect for an early morning run or a peaceful walk, with wide open spaces, trees, and a touch of history everywhere you look. It’s clean, relaxing, and gives you that rare calm amid the city buzz. A timeless spot that reminds you why Manila is so special. 🇵🇭

I visited the park about 6:30 am and already there were plenty of people walking, stretching, exercising by themselves or in a groups. Big speakers in the whole park, music on, amazing energy! 🥰 Very clean with a few things to explore there. I definitely recommend this place to visit

Bringing my daughter here for the very first time was pure magic. I’ve visited many times myself, but seeing it through the eyes of a child is a totally different experience! As soon as we walked in and saw the massive, open green lawn, her little eyes went wide. She’s usually glued to her tablet, but here, she just dropped my hand and took off running! The sheer amount of safe, open space for her to burn off energy was a relief for me. Looking at her running around, I felt that amazing connection to Filipino history while she was just having the time of her life. Luneta isn't just a park. It's a piece of our heritage that also happens to be a perfect, budget-friendly family day out. It was a beautiful, successful first trip, and she’s already begging to go back!

Rizal Park is a calm and refreshing place in the heart of Manila. It is named after José Rizal and serves as a meaningful reminder of his love for the country. The park is clean, green, and perfect for jogging, walking, or relaxing. The dancing fountain with fire is the best part, especially after sunset. There is no entrance fee, the area is well maintained, and security is always around. A great blend of history and nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Manila.

Nice big park to go for a stroll and where you can learn about the history of the Philippines at the same time. But this is not just any old park, unfortunately it was also the place where many people were executed - some brave Priests who fought for the rights of the locals against the imperialists, and of course where national hero, Filipino nationalist, and inspiration for the fight against the Spanish Jose Riza was also publicly executed. It was interesting to read on the memorials their sacrifice. Also this is the park where in 1946 Philippines was finally declared an independent nation. So this park is important to the Philippine people and so respect and reverence is to be shown when walking around. It is a nice park and it is well laid out. Definitely worth a view

I visited Rizal Park, also known as Parke ng Rizal or Bagumbayan, on October 29, 2025. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have visited in Manila. The park is named after Dr. José Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines, who dedicated his life to the country’s freedom through his writings and sacrifice. This park stands as a reminder of his love for the Filipino people and his dream of an independent nation. The atmosphere of the park is calm and refreshing. I saw many people jogging, walking, and doing exercises early in the evening. The green grass, tall trees, and clean surroundings make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature in the middle of the city. The dancing fountain with fire was the highlight of my visit — it was truly worth watching, especially after sunset. There is no entrance fee, which makes it accessible for everyone. The place is well-maintained, and security officers are visible throughout the area. Rizal Park is not just a tourist spot but also a space where history, nature, and everyday life meet beautifully. I highly recommend visiting this park to anyone coming to Manila.

Rizal Park also known as Luneta was a highlight of our first Manila trip. It's incredibly crowded, but that only proves its importance as a central gathering place. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the historical significance is immense, especially around the Rizal Monument. If you want a real feel for Filipino history and community, this spectacular public space is a must-see.

Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach is a popular bayside walkway that offers stunning sunset views over Manila Bay. This two-kilometer promenade stretches from the American Embassy to the Cultural Center of the Philippines, lined with palm trees and open-air cafes. The area holds historical significance as it was the site of the Battle of Manila Bay in 1898.
Me and my boyfriend visited Manila Bay, and it was such a beautiful and relaxing experience. The sunset view was stunning — one of the best we’ve ever seen — and it felt so romantic just sitting by the bay together, enjoying the scenery. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it’s definitely a must-visit spot for couples who want to spend a quiet and memorable moment in Manila.

I can’t say this beach blew my mind. Its a nice clean place (it shows how hard they are trying to upkeep it) where you can relax and enjoy sunset and hangout. There are a handful of people but in my opinion it’s not to crowded. But I must say it was quite shocking when the security at exactly 7PM lead us all off the beach. My first time experiencing this (as a European).

Open from 6:00 am with free entrance. I had to bin my plastic water bottle which I had in my hand at the gate, as I have been told that I can’t go with it. I couldn’t place it in my bag. I guess they take care of the beach environment that way. Beach was very tidy. You can have there maybe 10-15 mins walk. Apparently you can’t swim there. At least you sit and relax or exercise like some people there. :)
Justyna M — Google review
A nice spot to relax in the city—free entrance, relatively clean, and there are trash bins around to help keep it that way. Guards are present at the entrance and exits, and there are restrooms available. You’ll also find street vendors near the footbridge if you want snacks or drinks. Good for a quick stroll or sunset view without spending anything.
Nathaniel A — Google review
Good place to watch the sunset. But it was clouded at the entrance area. You can walk along the beach to find a quiet spot and enjoy the sunset.

Nice place to sit watch world go by very busy lots of ships families kids the beach is more like white gravel no one in water but still ok
Bruce B — Google review
Disappointed as it was closed off to the public for God knows why, so could only get a glance at it from the overpass pedestrian bridge....... it has potential but looks a little decrepit and unkept (a bit like Manila)
Rob N — Google review
Manila Bay is truly one of the most iconic and beautiful places in the Philippines. I recently visited during sunset, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The golden rays reflecting on the water created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I also appreciate the efforts being made to clean and rehabilitate the area! it’s great to see that Manila Bay is being taken care of for future generations. The Baywalk is now more pleasant, with cleaner surroundings, more security, and a great place for people to walk, exercise, or simply enjoy the view. I highly recommend visiting Manila Bay, especially at sunset. It’s a reminder of the natural beauty we have right in the heart of the city😉

Catholic church
The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, also known as Manila Cathedral, is a historic church with ornate architecture dating back to 1571. It has been visited by several popes and is considered the Mother of all churches in the Philippines. The cathedral's Neo-Romanesque design, solemn ambiance, priceless relics, and stained glass windows make it a must-visit for both locals and tourists.
The Manila Cathedral is absolutely stunning — the architecture, the dome, and the grand entrance all make you stop and stare. Inside, it’s peaceful and full of light, with every corner beautifully detailed. You can really feel the history and faith here. It’s right in the heart of Intramuros, so it’s perfect to visit while exploring the old city. Even if you’re not religious, it’s worth stopping by just to admire how beautiful and majestic it is. Truly one of Manila’s must-see spots! ❤️

I visited The Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, and it was a truly inspiring experience. The church’s grand architecture, with its detailed façade and beautiful stained-glass windows, reflects both history and faith. Inside, the atmosphere feels solemn and peaceful — perfect for prayer and reflection. It’s one of the most iconic churches in the Philippines and serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Manila. The area around it is also scenic, especially at sunset. Whether you’re visiting for Mass or just to admire its beauty, The Manila Cathedral is a must-see landmark in Intramuros.

The Manila Cathedral, officially the Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, is more than just a church—it is a powerful symbol of Filipino resilience. Located proudly in the heart of Intramuros, this Neo-Romanesque masterpiece has risen from the ashes eight times, surviving fires, earthquakes, and the brutal destruction of World War II. The architecture is breathtaking. Its grand façade, adorned with statues of saints carved from Roman travertine stone, sets a majestic tone. Inside, the visitor is immediately enveloped in a serene, awe-inspiring atmosphere defined by soaring arches, a spectacular central dome, and an abundance of rich marble and mosaic work. The intricate stained-glass windows are a particular highlight, casting vibrant, colorful light across the solemn nave and enriching the experience of prayer and reflection. The Cathedral serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Manila and continues to host major religious and national events, solidifying its role as a spiritual heart for the country. Visiting is a profoundly moving experience, offering a tangible connection to the Philippines' enduring faith and complex colonial history. It truly stands as the undisputed jewel of the Walled City, and an absolute must-see destination. Absolutely magnificent!

Visiting this cathedral felt like stepping straight into Europe. The architecture is truly breathtaking — tall spires, grand arches, and intricate details that reflect both artistry and history. From the moment you enter, the high vaulted ceilings and stained-glass windows create a sense of awe and peace. The play of light through the colored glass adds a beautiful, almost magical atmosphere inside, making it a perfect place for quiet reflection or prayer. What’s remarkable is how well the design captures that classic European cathedral feel. It’s not just a place of worship, but also a piece of cultural heritage that transports you to another time and place. Whether you’re a believer or simply someone who appreciates architecture and history, there’s so much to admire here. The grounds around the cathedral are also well-kept, providing a serene environment for visitors. It’s a wonderful spot not only for spiritual connection but also for those who enjoy photography, as every angle seems to tell a story. Overall, this cathedral is more than just a religious site — it’s a landmark of beauty and inspiration. If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting Europe’s great cathedrals, this is definitely a place that gives you a taste of that same grandeur.

The Manila Cathedral is one of the eye catching in the heart of intramuros, the architecture is fascinating they have a lot of memorabilia and sauveners inside. The security is really good where the safety is priority. It's really preserve as one of the best landmarks in Manila, I really appreciate and recommend this place to visit. Where every step of the way is a landmarks.

And another Church in Manila - this time a Cathedral - in the tourist part of the city - Intramuros - smack bang in the middle and a good pointer for the area Inside it might not be as impressive as a lot of Cathedrals of the world - bit plain really - but still there are a lot of good statutes, some pretty glasswork.... and info points which give one the history behind the Cathedral - interesting that a Church of some sort has been standing on this spot since the 16th Century - which I thought was pretty cool. Overall - worth a quick peep, but not much more Also looks pretty lit up at night.
Rob N — Google review
they have an xray scanner at the entrance. just surrender your bags in it. the church feels surreal especially when the afternoon lights hit the stained glass windows. stayed there for a short prayer and some reflections.
Mae R — Google review
One of the best churches I've visited. The Manila Cathedral is not only a place of worship but also a living testament to the Philippines' rich Catholic heritage. Located in the heart of Intramuros, it has been rebuilt multiple times since its original structure was erected in 1581—having been damaged by fires, earthquakes, and World War II bombings. What stands today is a stunning Romanesque Revival-style cathedral completed in 1958, with intricate carvings, grand arches, and beautiful stained glass windows that depict various Biblical scenes. What impressed me most is the structural elegance of the church and the abundance of historical items inside. You’ll find tombs of past archbishops, centuries-old religious artifacts, and impressive altarpieces. It’s also the first cathedral in the country and serves as the mother church of the Archdiocese of Manila. Even Pope Francis held mass here during his 2015 visit. Whether you're religious or simply a lover of architecture and history, this church offers a deeply enriching experience. A must-visit when you're in Intramuros.

The museum shows the talent and creativity of our people through different artworks that tell stories about our history and culture. I enjoyed walking around the galleries and seeing famous pieces. The place is quiet and perfect for learning and appreciating art. It made me feel proud of our country’s rich artistic heritage.

I visited the National Museum of Fine Arts in Manila on October 29, 2025, and it was a truly enriching experience. The museum is beautifully maintained and houses a remarkable collection of Filipino art that reflects the country’s culture, struggles, and spirit. The grand building itself is a piece of art, with its tall pillars and elegant interiors that give a sense of pride and history. One of the most memorable parts of my visit was seeing Juan Luna’s famous painting, “Spoliarium.” Standing before it felt like witnessing a piece of the nation’s soul — powerful, emotional, and full of meaning. Each gallery offered something unique, from classical masterpieces to modern Filipino art. The museum is free to enter, making it accessible to everyone who wants to learn and appreciate the Philippines’ artistic heritage. The halls are spacious, air-conditioned, and well-lit, allowing visitors to enjoy the exhibits comfortably. I also noticed many students, tourists, and families exploring the artworks and taking time to read the details. Overall, my visit was both educational and inspiring. The National Museum of Fine Arts is a must-visit destination for anyone who wishes to understand the depth of Filipino creativity and national identity.

Admission to the museum is free! Every Filipino should visit this museum at least once in their lifetime. It's a shame that I was only able to visit this now despite growing and living all my life in the metro. I think every school should include this in their field trips/excursions. I never realized that we had so much talent that's almost comparable to prominent western artists (not meant to demean our very own and other eastern arts). I also never thought we had so many great artists in the 20th century. A one day tour isn't enough to appreciate everything in the museum. Each floor had a theme and each exhibit is a treat - you get to view nice artworks while learning about history. Even the architecture itself is an art (being a former Senate building). There were a lot of teens in groups/barkadas who were touring the museum - it was nice to see the youth getting immersed in culture. Sadly I missed their free guided tour - another reason for me to visit again :)

A must-visit if you love art and Philippine history. The museum is spacious and houses a rich collection of classical and historical artworks—from grand paintings to intricate sculptures. I took a lot of pictures during my visit because there’s just so much to see. Be ready for a good amount of walking as you explore the different galleries. It’s a great place to appreciate Filipino talent and artistry across time.

You can access the Museum via the Finance Rd. Free entrance you just have to present one valid ID. Air conditioned. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes coz you are going to have a walking work out ask for floors. Hihi. Also wear presentable clothes. Check the museums website page for the rules entering the museum. Baggage counter available on the entrance. Very spacious gallery. Elevator is available for use. I’ve longed to see THE Spoliarium. Never had the chance to join any field trips when I was a student due to lack of financial capability. Now that I am 37 years old. I was in awe seeing it the moment I enter the museum. Surreal. There are also souvenir shops inside. Sharing a few pictures I took at inside the museum. Had to sit a few times as my feet gets tired haha. Each room has a mottiff or subjects i guess and comes in different background/wall colors. Will visit the other 2 nearby museums soon.

The National Museum of Fine Arts isn’t just a museum it feels like stepping into pages of history and walking through living canvases. Every gallery whispers stories, not only of the artists, but of the era they belonged to. What amazed me most was how the place itself is a masterpiece high ceilings, timeless architecture, and an atmosphere that makes you pause and breathe art in every corner. You don’t just see paintings here, you feel them. For someone who never had the chance to explore this back in my college years, finally experiencing it now felt like reconnecting with a part of our heritage I didn’t know I was missing.

Located in the heart of Intramuros, Manila, Ristorante delle Mitre offers a unique dining experience that combines Italian and Filipino cuisine. The restaurant is owned by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines and serves as a fundraising activity for their programs. The menu features a diverse range of dishes inspired by different regions of the Philippines, providing a culinary journey rich in flavor and heritage.
Mitre in Intramuros never disappoints! Their crispy pata is a must-try, and I keep craving their pasta, ulam, and coffee. This place is always my first choice whenever there’s an occasion or family celebration. Great food, cozy vibe, and super friendly staff! ☺️😋🩷

The service seriously can use some improvements here. When I first stepped into the restaurant, no one greeted me and led me to the table. The staff have no idea about their own menus and what cakes are available at the moment. Nobody poured water from a strange-looking bottle for me, and I wasn't even given a spoon. When I asked for it, one female staffer looked a bit annoyed, or maybe that was just how she normally looks, but I don't like the attitude here. It was 10 am on Sunday, and the dining room was not even busy. You should train your staff to have a more service-minded mindset. One of the customers had her hand up in the air for awhile, but nobody paid attention that she had to walk towards one of the staff. I asked for a slice of cake two times, but they came to me with a bill I hadn't asked for instead. They quickly cleaned my table, even the napkin I hadn't used, like they couldn't wait for me to leave already when I was there for 20 minutes. The food and its price go hand in hand, but I would not come back here again. The pistachio raspberry cake was good, by the way; it wasn't too creamy or sweet.

Around the corner from San Agustin church is this gem. One of the best Filipino food I’ve been to. Traveling all over the Philippines and other countries. This is by far one of the best!!! Food dishes are amazing and very reasonable. The amount of food they give are enough to share with your companion. Staff are friendly even the Security Guard outside is so welcoming. I will definitely come back here with family and friends. I highly recommend this place if you’re craving Filipino cuisine.

After mass at San Agustin Church in Intramuros we dropped by Ristorante delle Mitre just across the street. The Kare-Kare was good and the Lechon Kawali was excellent, crisp on the outside and soft inside. The Baby Squid, which I expected to be served in olive oil, was instead battered and fried and turned out really good. The standout for me was the Sinigang. It is a familiar Filipino dish but theirs had something that just made it very good. Hard to explain but it hit the spot. Worth dropping by if you are in the area.

Ristorante delle Mitre offered a wide variety of European food with a Filipino twist which was very enjoyable and delicious. Also fair prices for the portions! Prime location, right within Intramuros, within walking distance of the Fort Santiago and right next to Saint Augustin church. Overall positive experience, good food, nice and quick service and interesting decor. The pricing doesn’t seem expensive but portions are small so your bill might rack up. P/S: Green mango smoothie is extremely sour.

Came here for lunch. The place has a good atmosphere and theming which was centred around the clergy. The dishes are kinda pricy since this is around a tourist area but there are some rice meals. I ordered the gnocchi. My order arrived after 15 mins later. The gnocchi was chewy but still soft. The pasta looked handmade which was nice. The sauce was pretty good. The portions was kind off lacking considering the price. All in all the food was good but need more of it.

Burger King is a popular fast-food chain known for its grilled burgers, fries, shakes, and breakfast options. Some customers have noted that the locations can be small and crowded at times, leading to longer wait times and occasional order mix-ups. However, others appreciate the convenience of drive-thru service and the cleanliness and comfort of newly opened restaurants. Despite some mixed experiences with service speed and availability of menu items, many patrons enjoy the food quality and personal attention from staff members.
Friendly staff. The burger taste delicious, are topped with enough crisp lettuce and tomatoes. The fries are large and delicious. The burger and fries got served hot. The ice tea taste also delicious.

Ate lunch here today inside Robinson Mall. This is a very small location that needs to expand in a bigger way. We had to wait for a seat to open up. My order was wrong, but the price was correct so I ate what they wanted me to have, even after reading back the correct order? I will still eat here again, but I will take out only & check my order before I leave the counter.

Service was fine, prefer seating in the mall, fries were good but the burger was very disappointing...small patty, huge, untoasted dense white bun...tasted more like bread than a cheeseburger, including 70p for 2, half size slices of processed cheese. I'm done with Burger King, never again.

I was about to order food at Burger King Robinson's Manila branch this evening (around 8:35 to 8:40 pm) but nobody from the three (3) cashiers at the counter attended me. I was quite in a hurry--the precise reason why I chose to get food from a fast food store. It would have been understandable if they told me to wait for a little while, but none of them had the courtesy to let me know that they were too busy (if that was the case) attending to other deliverables, as if I, who was standing in front of the 3 of them, were non-existent. My time (and money) is better off somewhere that values the presence of a customer. They don't seem to need it anyway.

I love the food here especially the fries and A&W rootbeer float (which is my absolute favorite). The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of the prices on the menu. They're a bit higher compared to the other fast foods. This branch is quite small but they're able to seat everyone and the service is fast.

Little space and one time i ordered around past 9pm,most of products on their menu are not available example rice meal (chicken). We dined in their small space and we need to share it to the other customers which your privacy if your talking a bit loud is prohibited haha i like one staff (boy) who is very helpful to attend our needs.

Pizza restaurant
Raffaele Woodfired Pizza, located at The Bayleaf Hotel in Manila, is a top choice for special occasions and celebratory dinners. With its vibrant ambiance and lovely dining set-ups, it's the perfect place to enjoy Italian and Spanish cuisine as well as other international dishes. Known for its wood-fired pizza and delicious Italian favorites like pasta and desserts, Raffaele is a must-visit for any pizza enthusiast in Manila.
Booked 12pm for Mother's Day, good food & good service. Got a complimentary chocolate tin cake for Mother's Day (min. 3k worth of purchase) Free parking for diners, just have the ticket validated. The roasted beef penne pasta was okay, the Vegan pizza was great. The ricotta cheesecake was baked, not too sweet, and visually elegant. The chocolate molten cake with cream was yummy too.

Here’s what travelers have to say: * Professional Staff and Select Environment: * The lovely, professional staff create a pleasant atmosphere. * The menu offers varied choices, and the food is excellent. * All this at a very reasonable price—what’s not to like? A truly nice evening meal! 🍕🌟 Whether you’re craving authentic wood-fired pizza or exploring Italian flavors, Raffaele Woodfired Pizza won’t disappoint! Buon appetito! 🇮🇹❤️🍽️

This is a hidden gem in Intramuros. Small and cozy, perfect for a quiet meal. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the freshly baked breads. We had Butcher's Choice Woodfired Pizza, Prosciutto Truffle Pasta, Ricotta & Charred Tomato, Garlic & Rosemary Flatbread, Woodfired Wings, and Tiramisu Zabaglione. Service was wonderful with very attentive servers. Highly recommend this spot.

After our visit to the National Museum of Fine Arts, my family and I searched for a nearby place to have lunch and came across this restaurant on Google. We also took the opportunity to celebrate Mother’s Day there. We ordered the four cheese pizza, smoked beef penne gratin, tomahawk pork chop, brown butter chicken, watermelon shake, strawberry shake, and lemon & ginger shake. Everything we tried was delicious, but the four cheese pizza was definitely my favorite! It was our first time dining here, and it certainly won’t be the last. The staff were very accommodating and made our experience even better.

The food and ambiance on this restaurant so great that it gave me super powers, the power of invinsibility! I was dining with a foreign friend and the host asks him if he wanted a table for one even when I was standing right next to him, then when he ordered wine, the waiter asks if it's just a single glass! Amazing! And they barely looked and talked to me, that's perfect for introvert diners like me! Pizza, pasta and humus was so good. 11/10 will go back to see if super powers works again.

If asked which is the best Italian restaurant in Manila is, I would say Raffaele will be one of them. This place may not be as attention grabbing as other Italian restaurants here and would rather stay in the sidelights as they know that they can offer a good and satisfying meal. The price is not also that exorbitant considering the flavor and the serving sizes. During dinner, the place can be warm and cozy but rather dark to read their menu. Expect me to be back here every so often as I will not get bored with Raffaele!
Patrick T — Google review
Excellent atmosphere and great service. I ordered a Raffaele ragout and a mango shake. Portion sizes were generous, and generally matching the higher than average price. Mango shake was delicious, although the ragout was quite oily and there were bits stuck to the bottom of the plate. Severe food coma followed. However, given the excellent decor, atmosphere, service and view, it is impossible not to rate this Raffaeles 5 stars.

Dined here at around 7pm on a Saturday to celebrate a special event. There were a handful of customers when we arrive but the place started to get crowded at around 830pm. Food we ordered and our review (based on our taste buds): * Raffaele Gamberetti - 5 of 5 * Roasted Pineapple & Farmer's Ham Pizza - 4 of 5 * Fruits, Nuts, & Seeds -  5 of 5 * Seafood & roasted tomato pasta - 5 of 5 * Mahi mahi, blue crab & sea urchin - 5 of 5 * Tiramisu Zabaglione - 4 of 5 Place: The resto has a good view and has a good ambiance. Lighting inside is soft and it adds to the character of the place. Value for money: 4 of 5. A bit pricey but surely worth the quality Overall: 5. Highly recommended and it will definitely be one of my favorite place to visit during special events

Filipino restaurant
Ilustrado Restaurant is a renowned dining spot located in the heart of historic Intramuros in Manila. Housed in a charming heritage building, it offers a romantic setting with antique decor and lush surroundings, making it popular for tourists and wedding venues. The menu features a mix of Spanish, Filipino, and global cuisines, including traditional dishes like callos Madrilena and jamon serrano alongside favorites like caesar salad and Canadian maple-glazed baby back ribs.
Great service! Very friendly host and even more attentive, professional and polite wait staff. Food were amazing as always. My favorite was the tanigue in turmeric cream (amazing sauce and perfectly cooked fish!), paella ilustrado (generous in fresh seafood and meat toppings), and sampaguita ice cream (I think it's a divisive flavor but I personally enjoy it). I appreciate the traditional look of the resto but I hope they can use table cloths with no stains next time. Ilustrado is a must-visit when in Intramuros!

Had the chance to grab a quick dinner here after hearing it’s a popular spot in the area. The host guided me to my seat right away, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. The food was okay and satisfying for a quick meal. The location is also convenient, very close to Intramuros, which makes it a nice stop if you’re exploring the area. Overall, a good spot for a casual meal with great service.

Overpriced and Unhelpful Service I booked this venue for an upcoming event and ran into a few issues during the planning stage mainly with the food tasting. The package included tasting for two people, but since I’m based overseas, I arranged and paid for three extra family members to attend (₱2,000 per head). On the day, three other relatives came along but ordered à la carte and weren’t part of the tasting, which had been clearly communicated in advance. After the tasting, my family raised a few concerns: • Some of the agreed menu items weren’t served. • Portions were quite small considering the extra ₱6,000 we paid. • No alternative options were offered for dishes that didn’t work out. When I tried to relay this feedback, the staff member handling my booking came across as defensive and dismissive. Instead of offering solutions, they seemed more focused on explaining why things happened, which made the whole exchange unnecessarily frustrating. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this venue for event planning or coordination based on how things were handled.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. We were looking for some Italian food in the Intramuros area and this place was recommended. Upon arrival, the exterior of the place is impressive with a beautiful Italian patio tucked into a courtyard. Entering the restaurant, I was a little shocked. The look is very fine dining with 7 waiters standing around in bow ties, white shirts and black pants ready to serve. It's 7pm and we are the only guests. Awkward. The menu is not that impressive honestly, it's a hodge podge of Italian, Phillipino and "other" recipes in plastic inserts. Kinda weird. I ordered the chicken and it was great! The prices are fair! Next, 3 men with guitars came in wearing Hawiian shirts, came to our table to serenade us. Kinda weird, but fun! They were great! All in all, it was a good experience. Would I go back? Probably not. It was fine as a one-timer place, but the menu did not have a lot of great choices and the atmosphere is a little stuffy,, except for the mariachi band.
Ben M — Google review
Pricey for the kind of food. The paella is almost a thousand pesos and our home cooked paella was better. There are two areas of the resto. We arrived there around 5:30 pm and ushered to the area to the right (from the entrance). The place was not crowded and there's a big television mounted on one corner where the wait staff's eyes were glued. They were watching some usual local tv content and it was very noisy. With that, it did not feel fine dining at all. We expected a pleasing, soft fine dining music, not a blasting television. My partner asked a wait staff if there will be live music since he remembered reading that somewhere. And indeed there was in the other part of the restaurant (left wing from the entrance) which opens at 6pm. We asked to be transferred there when it opens. At 6pm we were guided to the left part of the restaurant which looked better, more the fine dining vibes. A little later, the musicians arrived. But it seems they come to you and seranade you and you give them money. Because they didn't sing for everyone. They came to our table and sang to us only. They were great musicians, for sure, just like most Filipinos.

Great Atmosphere, Disappointing Service Ilustrado Restaurant has a beautiful, nostalgic vibe that fits perfectly in Intramuros. The setting really does feel like a walk back in time. Elegant, old school, and well put together. That part, no question, is the highlight. Unfortunately, the service just didn’t match the setting. We were a group of five and they only set up four place settings. When they added the fifth, they forgot the plate and utensils. We ordered champurrado and asked for extra bowls. They brought out only two and forgot the spoons. It was a constant pattern of having to ask twice for things that should have been automatic. When the next set of dishes came out, the used plates from earlier weren’t cleared, leaving the table crowded. We had to ask them to clear it and even then, they only did half the job. We had to call them again just to make room for the new dishes. The food was decent but not memorable. I’ve had better paella elsewhere at a lower price point. Nothing was bad but it didn’t justify the premium. To their credit, they offered to hold our leftovers while we explored Intramuros, which was thoughtful and appreciated. I really wanted to enjoy the experience more than I did. The ambiance is amazing, but the service was careless and left a lot to be desired. If they can tighten that up, the place has real potential. But for now, two stars feels honest.

Busy and chaotic. Just the way I love the Philippines! No matter how big or how little the chaos is the people are always friendly. Security is very accessible at every corner of every floor always makes the unfamiliar feel safe. No matter what you’re shopping for you’re bound to find it at Robinson’s place !

Large shopping mall with several floors and a wide range of stores and restaurants. Alhamdulillah, traveling from Davao city I was amazed that we discovered a prayer room at Robinson's Place Mall which is good for Muslims to pray in somewhere at the 3rd floor if I'm not mistaken near a number of stalls with salespeople selling cellphones and cellphone accessories. It'd be nice though if the prayer room has two separate doors so the males and females avoid unnecessarily mixing and going through the same door. Suggestion only. I wish there were similar malls in Davao city which have a special room designated for Muslims to pray even for a few minutes since we Muslims are obliged to pray at least five times a day (unless a female has her valid excuse).

This conveniently located mall offers ample parking, making visits effortless. The female guards are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, enhancing the experience, though male guards could be more courteous. With numerous new stores, it's a delightful place to stroll and enjoy brunch with friends anytime.

Pretty good shopping mall for tourists and locals alike. The shops are pretty eclectic covering anything and everything I could want. Most of the eateries are aimed at locals though and I couldn't find any vegetarian places here. There at least 3 taiwanese tea places here including Gong Cha, Imperial and another one I can't remember the name of. There's also a big Robinsons Supermarket.

The National Museum of Natural History is a stunning venue that showcases zoological, botanical, and geological specimens. It opened on International Museum Day and features the majestic Tree of Life in its courtyard. Visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view from the scenic elevator and explore galleries such as Mangroves, Beaches and Intertidal Zones, The Marine Realm, Natural Inheritance, and Temporary Exhibitions.
Entrance was free and you have to leave your bags and water bottles in their baggage counter. Honestly, the place is so nice. I’ve been to different museums and this one could definitely compete internationally. The structure inside is great and there are 5 floors in total. Totally worth the time.

I had a wonderful visit to the National History Museum of the Philippines. The exhibits were truly amazing, and the facility was very clean and well-maintained. The highlight for me was seeing "Lolong," the world's largest crocodile in captivity, as well as the impressive collection of turtles, which as a turtle enthusiast, I greatly appreciated. While parking can be a challenge, the museum is easily accessible. A great tip for visitors is that admission is free. A recent update has made it even better: the National Museum of the Philippines is now open seven days a week with free admission for all. This makes it an enjoyable and accessible visit for everyone.

Very Instagrammable! 📸 Be prepared for a long walk when you visit, but good thing there are chairs around the building to rest. My eyes were so full with everything I saw and learned about the Philippines’ natural history. And yes, Lolong the crocodile is there! 🐊🇵🇭 Mas maganda pumunta ng weekdays para kakaunti ang tao. Free entrance, just present one valid ID for the whole group if you’re going with company. Vlogging is not allowed, selfie sticks are not allowed—just cellphones. Some elevators are closed, so be ready for a little extra walking. Worth it!

i have to say it truly is an experience. went on a rainy sunday aftie and i thought i wouldn’t like it ‘coz it was raining, but when i got inside, i had fun looking at the taxidermies of extinct animals, the unearthed ancient tools, rocks and gems, diff land masses & bodies of water in the PH, mangrove forests, flowers, fruits, lava and the highlights of my day - LOLO and a portrait of the PH eagle!! the one lost star in the rating was for rhe baggage counter- the line took a while, a long while, like 20mins just to claim our umbrella. maybe they can devise another baggage counter?!

This is a must visit. Museum exhibit was surprisingly extensive and informative. It was both fun and educational. I would advise visiting during the weekdays to avoid large crowds and visit early to have ample time to explore the museum. We visited late in the afternoon so our visit was a bit of a rush, such a shame. Anyway, I am really looking forward to visiting again.

There is so much to see and learn about here, this museum is massive and it is just a delight. The curators have taken a lot of pride in laying this museum out and explaining the history of the biology and the geology of the Philippines. And while I know that doesn't sound incredibly interesting at first it actually is a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend this place and you can take your time enjoying it. There's also good aircon here as well.

National Museum of Natural History Located within the historic grounds of Rizal Park in Manila, the National Museum of Natural History is a must-visit for nature lovers and curious minds alike. I've been here many times, and I always find myself heading straight to the second floor to check out the latest fauna discoveries. What truly fascinates me is the exhibit on forestry, which showcases the rich biodiversity of the Philippines’ rainforests. I’m also captivated by the skulls and skeletons of various endemic animals—it’s both educational and awe-inspiring. One highlight that always catches my attention is the old terrarium that still thrives inside the museum. It’s a living display of how ecosystems can be sustained even in enclosed spaces. The building itself is a restored neoclassical structure that once housed the Department of Tourism, now transformed to celebrate the natural heritage of the country. The centerpiece, called the “Tree of Life,” is a stunning architectural feature that doubles as an elevator shaft and symbolizes the museum’s mission of conservation and knowledge. Whether you're a student, researcher, or just someone who appreciates nature, this museum is a treasure trove of Philippine natural wonders.

The Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture, also known as San Agustin Church, is a historic church in Manila. Constructed in the 16th century, it features vaulted ceilings and detailed frescoes. It is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines and survived the Battle of Manila during World War II. Designated as a National Historical Landmark by the Philippine government and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it holds significant historical value.
San Agustin Church in Intramuros is truly a treasure. The moment you step inside, you feel the calm , the soft light, the painted ceiling, the old wooden pews… everything is full of history and charm. It’s amazing to think this is the oldest stone church in the Philippines, and it’s still standing strong after so many centuries. I loved walking around the museum too...So many old artifacts and details that tell the story of the country’s past. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Manila! San Agustin Church in Intramuros is truly a masterpiece of Baroque architecture and a must-visit historical landmark in Manila. As the oldest stone church in the Philippines (completed in 1607), it holds deep cultural, historical, and spiritual significance. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by intricate details that reflect Spanish colonial artistry—elaborate trompe l'oeil ceiling paintings, massive wooden doors, and finely carved choir stalls. The stone walls and ornate altars speak volumes of the craftsmanship and devotion that went into building this church over 400 years ago. The atmosphere inside is both serene and awe-inspiring. The soft lighting, combined with centuries-old architecture, creates a solemn yet majestic feel. Whether you're visiting for spiritual reasons, historical curiosity, or simply to admire its beauty, San Agustin Church offers a timeless experience. Also worth noting is its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, part of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines, which only adds to its prestige. A true gem within the walled city of Intramuros—San Agustin Church is more than just a religious structure; it’s a journey into the Philippines' rich colonial past, beautifully preserved.

I wasn't able to enter since there's an ongoing wedding. Wish there is a schedule / timetable for the public to see so visitors can get inside. Also there is a 250 pesos fee entrance (as of this writing) to see the entire church museum, garden, crypts.

This is a small and unassuming church in the intramuros district. It's very easy to miss however it's a great place to stop. If I'm not mistaken this is the oldest Church in Manila. There is an incredible amount of History here and the church here is well maintained especially considering its age. If you are staying in intramuros you will without a doubt pass by here several times while you're visiting some other sites, you need to stop by here and really take in the beauty.

The church's iconic architecture, designed by Juan Nakpil, features a spacious dome and imposing belfries.

Quiapo Church, officially called the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, is a historic Roman Catholic church in Manila. It is best known as the home of the Black Nazarene, a life-sized dark statue of Jesus Christ believed by many devotees to be miraculous. The church was first built in the late 1500s, but it has been destroyed and rebuilt several times due to fires and earthquakes. Today, it is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the Philippines, especially during the annual Feast of the Black Nazarene every January 9.

The iconic Quiapo Church has been officially elevated to the rank of a Basilica by the Pope and declared as the National Shrine of Jesus of Nazareth by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines. 💒 A holy place for prayer and meditation, the Basilica stands as a symbol of faith and devotion of millions of Filipinos. In front of it lies the historic Plaza Miranda, a landmark that has witnessed countless events in our nation’s history. 🇵🇭✨ Truly, Quiapo remains not only a spiritual haven but also a cultural and historical treasure of the Philippines. ❤️ #QuiapoChurch #Basilica #NationalShrine #PlazaMiranda #Faith #History

Ury A — Google review
I've been here many times, and every visit reminds me of the deep faith and devotion of the Filipino people. Quiapo Church is always bustling with devotees, especially on Fridays and during the annual Feast of the Black Nazarene, where millions join the Traslación procession—a powerful display of collective devotion and sacrifice. What stands out is the diverse spiritual culture around the church. Many faith healers and vendors line the perimeter, offering religious items, herbal remedies, and amulets said to bring good luck or healing. It creates an almost mystical atmosphere that blends folk belief with Catholic tradition. This church holds personal significance for me—it's where my mother goes when she wants her prayers answered. One moment I’ll never forget was seeing a woman walking on her knees from the entrance to the altar. I didn’t fully understand the meaning behind it, but it was deeply moving. It's a common form of panata (a vow or act of devotion), showing how far people will go to express their faith and gratitude. Inside, you’ll often witness unique rituals and people in silent prayer amidst the crowd. Quiapo Church is not just a religious site—it’s a cultural experience and a symbol of unwavering Filipino faith.

The Quiapo Church (officially the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene) is one of the most famous and historically significant churches in the Philippines. Key Highlights: Home of the Black Nazarene – The church houses the centuries-old dark wooden statue of Jesus Christ carrying the cross, believed to be miraculous by millions of devotees. Feast of the Black Nazarene – Every January 9, the Traslación procession draws millions of barefoot devotees who join the journey of the statue through the streets of Manila. Baroque and Neo-Classical Design – Originally built in the 16th century, the present structure has a mix of Baroque and Neo-Classical styles, rebuilt several times due to fires and earthquakes. Devotional Center – Known as the “Gawad ng Bayan ng Maynila” (shrine of the people of Manila), it’s a place where thousands visit daily to pray, light candles, and attend Mass. Plaza Miranda – The public square in front of the church, a popular gathering area surrounded by vendors, fortune tellers, and food stalls, adding to Quiapo’s vibrant atmosphere. Accessibility – Located in the heart of Manila, it’s easily reachable by jeepneys, LRT, and buses.

It is one of the most visited churches in Manila especially for Catholics. Many hold their devotion to the Black Jesus of Nazarene.

Barbara's Heritage Restaurant

Restaurant
Barbara's Heritage Restaurant in Manila offers a captivating blend of Filipino history, culture, and cuisine. This romantic dining spot provides an immersive experience with traditional dance performances and live music in native costumes. Located on General Luna Street, the restaurant serves authentic Filipino dishes like chicken adobo and lechon kawali while resident musicians serenade guests during lunchtime and are later joined by dancers in the evening.
Had lunch at Barbara’s Heritage and the ambiance was beautiful—very old Manila, very nostalgic. The live musicians were a lovely touch! They go around serenading each table, and yes, you’re expected to give a tip. You can even sing along if you’re feeling it, which adds to the fun. I ordered the beef salpicao and it was delicious—tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Definitely a must-try. However, I have to be honest about the service. The waiter who brought my food seemed like he was in such a rush. He didn’t say a word and just placed the food down quickly, almost carelessly. For a heritage restaurant with such charm, I expected more warmth and grace in the service. It felt a bit rude, to be honest. Still, it’s worth visiting for the ambiance and the music—just hoping the service improves to match the beautiful setting.

Barbara’s Heritage Restaurant offers a truly charming and cultural dining experience. Located in the heart of Intramuros, the restaurant’s elegant Spanish-era interior and warm ambiance instantly transport you to the past. Even the staff wear traditional Filipino attire, adding to the authentic feel. The buffet features classic Filipino and Spanish-inspired dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying—I highly recommend choosing the buffet set. There are also singers with guitars who serenade you while you dine, and a live cultural show is held in the evening. It’s a perfect spot for tourists and locals alike who want to enjoy good food and immerse themselves in Filipino heritage.

08/17/25. Sunday Heritage Filipino dinner with a spectacular Cultural show.💃 GOOD: 1. Turn of the century bygone era feels. 2. Cultural dancers and hosts were brimming with infectious energy. Very engaging with guests. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 3. Dinner buffet was delicious albeit meat focused. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. Buffet was lacking seafood main course. Only the paella had juvenile crabs and a few shellfish. Please include a carving station with a whole lapu lapu or any big fish which will also be a buffet showpiece. So pulled back one star for food only ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Ideal if you have balikbayans and foreigners to entertain.

Environment is acceptable but could be better if given more maintenance. A bit hot. Unfortunately there's a mosquito that keep disturbing me during dinner. Price medium/ medium high than others. Given the location a tourist spot. Understandable. Food quality for me is just average. It's ok to try for a first time but nothing special to make me come back Performance is what I think their special compared to other restaurants. Shortchanged my money by 10 pesos. But I didn't tell bcz it's not a lot.

Comments: very pleasant staff.

Dining at Barbara’s Heritage Restaurant is more than just a meal — it’s a full cultural experience that beautifully showcases the richness of Filipino tradition, both in flavor and in spirit. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a bygone era. The elegant colonial interiors, capiz windows, and antique furnishings set the mood for a nostalgic journey into the heart of Philippine heritage. The live cultural performances — complete with traditional dances like tinikling and singkil — are mesmerizing and heartfelt, making every moment feel special and deeply rooted in Filipino pride. The food? Absolutely delicious. From classics like kare-kare, adobo, and lechon kawali, to comforting kakanin and native desserts, every dish is prepared with authenticity and warmth. It’s a perfect balance of flavor and presentation — a true showcase of Filipino culinary artistry. Barbara’s doesn’t just serve food — it tells a story. Whether you’re a balikbayan, tourist, or local rediscovering your roots, this place offers a unique blend of hospitality, history, and homegrown flavors that leave you proud to be part of this culture. Definitely a must-visit in Intramuros. Come for the food, stay for the heritage.

Taiwanese restaurant
Lugang Cafe Robinsons Manila is a contemporary Taiwanese restaurant known for its delicious and consistent menu. As part of the famous Bellagio Group of Restaurants, it originated in Shanghai in 2001 and has since expanded to the Metro. The Manila location holds special significance as the first branch outside China. The staff are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Lugang Café Unlimited Feast Review Tried Lugang Café’s unlimited promo for only ₱688 plus tax, and it was absolutely worth every peso! Every dish that came out of the kitchen was scrumptious, from the classic dim sum to the flavorful mains — each plate was bursting with authentic Taiwanese flavors and perfectly seasoned goodness. As a first-timer, I finally understand what the hype is all about — and yes, it’s 100% real. Even if we are seated at the far end of the restaurant, the service was attentive, the ambiance elegant, and the quality of food felt like something you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. If you’re craving a top-tier dining experience without breaking the bank, Lugang Café’s unlimited promo is a must-try. Definitely coming back for round two! 🥢✨
Troy P — Google review
We visited Lugang Café at Robinsons Place for their Unlimited Dim Sum menu 688 and had a very good overall experience. The restaurant has a modern and stylish interior with warm lighting and comfortable seating. Service was really quick and the staff stayed attentive even though the place was busy. They always check if there are dishes that can be cleaned or if we need other things. What we ordered: 1. Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao A classic and very well-made. The wrapper was thin, the soup inside flavorful, and the pork filling seasoned nicely. We reordered this several times—highly recommended. 2. Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao with XO Sauce A more flavorful variation of the original. The XO sauce added depth and a light spicy, savory kick. Great if you like stronger flavors. 3. Steamed Pork and Vegetable Dumpling Milder in flavor, simple and comforting. Good texture, though not as memorable as the Xiao Long Bao. 4. Steamed Vegetarian Dumpling with Truffle Oil Surprisingly delicious. The truffle aroma is noticeable but not overwhelming. One of the standout items of the meal. 5. Steamed Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce Soft, well-cooked, and rich in flavor. A good traditional dim sum dish for those who enjoy it. ⸻ Appetizers (Unlimited) Tofu with Preserved Egg and Pork Floss A nice contrast of textures—silky tofu, creamy preserved egg, and sweet-salty pork floss. Light but flavorful. Pork Wonton in Spicy Chili Oil Really good. The chili oil has flavor rather than just heat, and the wontons were soft and well-filled. Very easy to keep ordering more. Vietnamese Egg Roll Crispy, well-fried, and not greasy. Simple but satisfying. Taiwanese Omelette Soft and comforting. Good as a side dish, though not particularly standout. Crispy Vegetable with Teriyaki Sauce Crispy, lightly sweet, and a nice contrast to the richer dishes. ⸻ Also Included: • Soup of the Day – warm and comforting. • Rice / Noodles of the Day – generous portions, great to pair with the dim sum. • House Blend Iced Tea – refreshing and not overly sweet. ⸻ Overall Great value for dim sum lovers. The food comes out fast, and there’s enough variety to try several things. The Xiao Long Bao and the chicken feet were the highlights. Suitable for families, groups, and casual dining. Would definitely come back.

Restaurant
Globe Lumpia House, a restaurant in Quaipo serving some of the best lumpia in town. The rolls are thin and doughy, and filled with a variety of vegetables or meat. They're deep-fried and served hot, so they're perfect for an evening snack. Globe Lumpia House is also known for its chicken empanadas, which are equally as delicious.
We love their lumpiang sariwa! Definitely recommended if you're visiting the Binondo area. It's not too far away.
Ced A — Google review
They have been around since 1956, and for good reason. There are no seats or tables. This is a small stall serving only 4 options, reflecting the diversity of cultures food in Manila is best known for historically. See photo for those options. But they are most famous for their fresh spring rolls (lumpia). The lumpia are filled with nuts and a variety of cooked vegetables and a fresh lettuce. There’s sauce in the vegetables already but each order comes with a small packet of thick, brown sweet sauce. The taste of the fresh garlic paste gives it a good kick!
ARBN — Google review
I’ve been trying out food spots I’ve seen on YouTube, and this was one of the most recommended by tourists. Many say it’s delicious, but honestly, I think it’s a bit overrated. It didn’t live up to the hype for me. The only thing I really liked was the lettuce—at least there was a healthy vegetable in there. But overall, I found it overpriced. At Php40 each, it didn’t feel worth it, especially since it wasn’t filling at all. I bought three for Php120, and I was still hungry afterward. It’s okay for a quick snack, but don’t expect too much. If you’re looking to satisfy your hunger, you’re better off adding just Php30 more and eating at Jollibee or Mang Inasal—you’ll definitely get more value and feel fuller.

One of the best lumpia in town. It’s cheap with a good amount of mixtures on it. We really love the taste of it. The location also easy to find. Access from all sides of roads. But just prepare a descent amount of patience due to long queue. Overall, We recommend you to try it if you’re in craving for Authentic fresh Lumpia! Will definitely comeback again sometime.

I remember back then when they have dine in. Pricey now. Sad that they only provide so little sauce
Geh D — Google review
As a place that comes up on the very top for a place to get a lumpia in Manila, i think the lumpia really take me by surprise. (In a not good way). I think how to explain the lumpia is that it is like a mix between Indonesia "Lumpia Basah" with Vietnam "Fresh spring rolls". But you take out the bamboo shoot and the shrimp. It's unique.
Yuwanda K — Google review
Cheap and tasty although perhaps a bit sweet for my liking. Efficient and friendly service.
Georgina T — Google review
It is surprisingly good! It’s all vegetable. The size is small but the taste is packed with so much goodness. It’s fresh, fragrant, garlicky sweet, nutty with a little kick of spiciness. It’s not oily. After trying, was it the best fresh spring roll for me? i would definitely say YES.

Buffet restaurant
Cafe Ilang-Ilang, located in Manila, is a top buffet restaurant that reopened last September. It offers an all-you-can-eat menu featuring a wide variety of dishes including bread, pasta, sushi, dumplings, and traditional Filipino cuisine. The buffet spread includes international cuisines such as Korean and Mediterranean, as well as station choices like grills and shawarmas.
This is the best buffet I ever had in my life 🤪 The food is delicious and there's a lot of choices. There is Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Japanese food etc. The desserts are great, even though the dessert section is small. The staff and crew are very well-trained One of the best dinner buffets I ever had! ♥️
Desirie P — Google review
Paid a little over 4,000/person for a buffet dinner... 1st, the parking. It wasn't enough, although valet parking is available, it can be a hassle especially since we visited after work where we had a few office valuables in the car. 2nd, the ambiance, place can be a bit noisy. Space is very cramped (reminded me of a Chinese restaurant). Then there's the buffet spread which can be a bit confusing (reminded me of Spirals). The drinks and Italian section is even in a separate section (or room)! Food, it wasn't worth the 4K I paid for. Selection is there, but nothing stands out. Siewmai is the only bright spot I found but there's no way I can eat 4,000 worth of siewmai. Indian food was ok, flavour was on the milder side, but its not bad. Other than the siewmai and Indian food, only bright spot I can remember was their pizza. It was freshly made and nothing beats pizza that's freshly cooked. Compared to other hotel buffets... the service here is really (really) very good. I was honestly not happy with the food, the place and the parking situation, but their waiters and servers were really good and pleasing. I think this place is just not for me, but if someone is inviting you here and its free, then you should give it a try.

Massive buffet spread. The variety of food is amazing and delicious too! It was just very expensive though and crowded. But the staff who was assigned to our table was so nice and accommodating. It’s okay for a one time visit, worth it if you have a big appetite.

I'm writing to express my immense satisfaction with my recent (and nth!) dining experience at Cafe Ylang Ylang in The Manila Hotel. It truly remains one of my most favorite buffet destinations in Manila. The spacious layout and pleasant ambiance are always a highlight. It's so refreshing to have ample room to move around without feeling crowded, which significantly enhances the dining experience. As for the food, it consistently exceeds expectations! My father can't get enough of your roast beef – he always goes back for multiple servings, which speaks volumes about its quality. My mother and I are particularly fond of the salad station, especially with the balsamic vinegar sauce and the delicious addition of crab stick. While I've learned to skip the juices (as they're more akin to a Minute Maid style rather than 100% fresh), I can confidently say you can never go wrong with the made-to-order aglio olio and your fantastic vegetarian pizza, which is a personal favorite. My sister always gravitates towards the Japanese station, finding it complete and flavorful. I also highly recommend visiting the halal station; the curry there is simply great. Although the halo-halo wasn't quite to my liking due to the ice not being fine enough, the other dessert offerings more than made up for it. The fruits, ice cream, and especially the ube crepe are absolutely heavenly. It's a bit of a shame that lobster isn't available on Tuesdays, but I understand it's offered on other days. Regardless, our family always looks forward to returning. Without a doubt, I will continue to come back to Cafe Ylang Ylang because of the consistently wonderful food and overall experience.

Biggest and Best garlic butter prawns among the buffet in Manila i tried. Also the smoked salmon were choice premium cuts. I went for the Peking duck wrapped, hakaw, seafood kare kare, and they have free drinks and coffee fr espresso machine included. My wife said the steak was really good. Waiters were very nice. Still served us coffee beyond 2:30pm (closing). They had a wide sellection of cakes, kakanin, icecream and halo halo ! The melon and papaya was not sweet though.

There is something enchantingly timeless about Sundays at Café Ilang-Ilang — a day when the storied grandeur of The Manila Hotel meets the comforting warmth of a leisurely feast. Within its classic walls, the air hums with quiet elegance, and the Sunday Brunch unfolds like a beautiful melody — vibrant, comforting, and indulgently refined. The buffet is a tapestry of global flavors: the ocean’s freshness captured in delicate oysters and prawns on ice, the rich aromas of perfectly roasted meats, and the intricate art of sushi that delights the eyes before it even meets the palate. Each dish, whether local or international, carries a touch of thoughtfulness — flavors that speak not only of skill, but of passion. The Filipino corner whispers nostalgia through kare-kare, lechon, and sinigang — tender reminders of home — while the international selections invite wanderlust to the table, from the Mediterranean to the Orient. And when the desserts finally beckon, it feels like stepping into a dream — a parade of cakes, gelatos, and confections that celebrate life’s sweetest pleasures. What makes this Sunday ritual unforgettable, however, goes beyond food. It’s the gentle smiles of the staff, the soft clinking of glassware, and the golden glow of morning light reflecting off The Manila Bay nearby. It is a moment of calm luxury — a pause from the world, wrapped in the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and joy. ✨ Verdict: The Sunday Brunch at Café Ilang-Ilang is not merely a meal — it is a weekend celebration of taste, tradition, and togetherness. A sanctuary where elegance meets comfort, and every bite feels like a quiet thank you to life itself. 1. 🥂 The Grand Buffet Spread — A breathtaking panorama of global cuisines glistening under soft golden light — the heart of Café Ilang-Ilang’s Sunday indulgence. 2. 🍤 Seafood Selection — A luxurious display of oysters, prawns, and mussels on ice, kissed by freshness and the taste of the sea. 3. 🍖 Carving Station — Succulent roasts and tender cuts, carved to perfection and served with grace — a feast for the senses. 4. 🍣 Japanese Corner — An elegant array of sushi and sashimi — artistry on every plate, crafted with care and color. 5. 🍰 Dessert Wonderland — A sweet finale of cakes, tarts, and gelatos — each one a small masterpiece that captures the joy of Sunday. 6. ☕ Ambiance and Warmth — Soft light, smiling faces, and the timeless charm of The Manila Hotel — where every Sunday feels like a gentle embrace.
